My mind suddenly thinking, while Cale is mentally 36, his physical body is around 18-20 years old and everyone knows him as that age.

Like imagine if someone asks him what type of person he would consider dating, he just says, " At least 30 years old, good looking, is rich, etc." But everyone is stuck on the 30 years old part.

Then his family ask why at least 30 and Cale would be like "because it has to be for relationship to work." without elaborate.

Sometimes i stay up late thinking about the times cale had to face his biggest fears in illusions

First time during the wind island test, where he was all alone

I was crying on my knees during those chapters, the fact he kept forgetting what was written in that damn book B R O K E M E.

And the second time during the hallucination elisneh, or whatever her name is, put him in.

The fact that he's scared his newfound family is all just an elaborate dream, honestly twists my heart in directions i didn't even know existed

And how during the sadness test krs just followed a stranger (choi han) to his home cuz that was better than going back to his uncle, bro.

Has anyone read "I'm not that kind of talent"? It's been in my Twitter feed passing by so I want to try it out, and the story was interesting. Some say he is Cale no.2, but in my opinion, personality and vibes wise he is not although you could say he is another victim of having an unrequited love for their wife(life). Slacker-nim and Retirement-nim are really playing hard to get, poor them.

"Your cat? We found it first!" They held up the kitty defensively, Basen in the back while Lily was keeping guard.

Erjon of the Wind Island

Ok, I'm writing this at midnight and it's probably coming from my sleep-deprived mind, but here's an idea what I need to write down before I forget it ヽ(￣～￣　)ノ:

Well we all know that the Wind Island test was just an illusion unlike the SGT on Earth 2 and this is because the Sound of the Wind would not have enough power to create an entire alternate dimension based on anyone's worst fears of the challenger who is going to do it σ(￣、￣〃).

We also know that due to the curse Cale never tried to form bonds with Min Ah, So Hoon or the rest of Team 1 but they still cared about him and were just as loyal as any member of Cale's family ( ‾́ ◡ ‾́ ).

Well, what if that were the case for the butler boy we see in the Wind Island test (ᓀ ᓀ)?

Let's say that he became very worried about his master after seeing him act in such a strange way and he decided to follow him because of that same concern ~(>_<~).

This only grew after seeing the way he spoke (or rather questioned) everyone he crossed, it got even worse after seeing him pick up a book that he already hated too much to even approach (｡•́︿•̀｡).

Well, he follows him from afar, not close enough to hear him but close enough to see him.

He watches everything that happens in Super Rock Villa and after he enters the top floor he gets very worried because he can't see it without giving himself away.

He hears the sound of a book hitting the floor and, alarmed, runs in only to see him "commit suicide" (ﾒ﹏ﾒ)

He panics and while trying to stop him he accidentally falls out of the window with him, causing him to somehow reach the real world (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ.

Can you imagine his panic when he discovered that the world where he lived his entire life was nothing more than an illusion? That the monster that appeared in every horror story was real and was at its maximum power?

And that's not even counting the shock of trying to stop the suicide of a loved one and knowing that you're about to die only to wake up in a cave full of dead mana with a younger version of your lord ( : ౦ ‸ ౦ : ).

What's more, let's say that he cannot remember anything from before the moment the test began, there is not a single memory, only information full of holes that he knows is true until he no longer is, worse yet? He didn't even have a name! ლ(¯ロ¯"ლ)

Finding out all of that would give him an incredibly big identity crisis, the chaos of the destruction of Wind Island would definitely be worse with a preteen suffering from an identity crisis.

It's more thanks to him that everyone discovers that for an entire week Cale was trapped in an illusion of his worst fear and had to commit suicide to get out of it to get the flask and the whip (╥_╥)(they don't know that the flask could be obtained easily and Bud never tried to get him off the island so everyone thinks the test was to get the jar out and improve the Sound of the Wind ╮(￣_￣)╭)

Eruhaben will feel incredibly guilty and will probably drink the entire flask, not wanting Cale's sacrifice to be in vain.

Bud will be worse than in canon thinking it was all his fault.

The children of "x" years of age on average will be very overprotective.

Ron and Beacrox will be more lenient than usual with Cale and at the bottom will be our butler boy.

Still in crisis, he decides to follow our young master, not knowing any life apart from him, despite questioning whether his affection for him was just another part of the illusion (ಡ‸ಡ).

Cale upon finding out this tells him to do what he wants and that if he is going to accompany them he will need a name or alias ( ̅́ ◡ ̅́ )

And he (Cale) ends up choosing Erjon as his name, which is of Albanian origin and means "our wind" (of course, the latter only after at least two hours of discussion about whether Cale will give him his name or Erjon should choose it, It turns out that even in a more than traumatized state of mind they are both incredibly stubborn)

Reincarnator Rok Soo

In original world, during the war, Cale form a bond with the heroes, the Molans, Lock, Rosalyn, and Choi Han, and Alberu

They become quite close like a family (it's different from LCF because they are more into the rough side but equally geniune)

Since Cale is younger than the heroes and Alberu, they are quite protective and like to tease him by babying him

The twist is, the heroes and Alberu regressed

So, we have Rok Soo with his knowledge of the original world that the heroes and Alberu doesn't know and them who went through it

None found out much later, maybe in the middle or after the war

Their relationship is quite shaky at first because Rok Soo resemble WS

Rok Soo is overprotective toward his younger twin

Another twist, as a side effect or some miscalculation in GoD's part, Cale will started to get the scars he received in original world when he turn 18

Yes, it's not the memories but the scars

The process is how a scar suddenly appear new, as in it happens to him

For example, the scar he got when CH beat him up (the one on his side because of the broken chair (or was it table?) broken leg), he was fine, talking with the kids or do something, but, out of nowhere, his side started to bleed heavily and he feels pain as if he got stabbed by something

The pain is temporarly, but on that brief moment Cale feels twice the pain he should feels

And it will always 'healed' and only leave scars the next day

The scars doesn't follow Cale's age when he got them in the original world, but happens randomly

That one the first scar he got and one of the severe one and followed by small scars out of nowhere

But there are time when it was a fatal 'wound', such as a hole in a stomach as if he just got stabbed with a spear, one arm seems like just got blown up, etc

He lived in a war, so it's not surprising

The heroes and Alberu started to notice the wounds after the fifth fatal wound Cale 'received', they realized that it was what Cale got during the war

I think it's when they come clean to Rok Soo about their regression

And at some point, Cale lost his eyes

Another aspect from the original world is, nearing his demise, Cale got blind

The reason he still able to participate is because of Rosalyne magic help

That was the last scar Cale receive before WS kille him

And then it dawned to the heroes and Alberu that Cale might also get burn like last time

Chaos happen and during the new timeline, Cale is just so confused where all this wounds came from because no one tell him shits

TBOAH AU - OG Cale and OG Archie

Cale Henituse died by the hands of the WS. In one universe he made a deal and exchanged souls with one Kim Rok Soo. In this one, instead of making a deal, GoD sends him to another timeline to be able to rest and not have to worry about anything ARM or WS related. In this world, he regressed to when he was 16(and was in the process of escaping the Empire. Perhaps he had been kidnapped? Was his family ok and why did he have ancient powers, including his moms??).

Somewhere along the way, he ends up running into Archie, who also like him, was on the run and had his soul sent to this world after he was killed(and oh, it was a horrifying death. turning blood into pure mana burning him from the inside out. Who knew a specific weapon was made just to take him down. Witira fully snapped after witnessing her last family members/commanders death/. She was so scary, that even the WS didn't enter those waters for a couple years).

Eventually, they learn that they had been considered missing(and MIA in Archie's case). Both had been captured 2 years prior and experimented on at some point during that time(Archie had terrible scars on his back, along with part of his phin missing in his whale form he had also had patches that showed some of his hide had been taken at some point. Just wait until Cale found out who on the black market bought whale hide...if Shickler didn't get to them first anyway. Cale had Ancient Powers forced upon his very thin plate. Luckily he and Archie had come across a water power that settled his plate, but he was will very weak. Both their immune systems were gone too.)

A couple months later, they run into the Molans. And all hell breaks loose.

Archie went missing on a mission(which was later found out caused by a mole/traitor). The whale's missed their chaotic commander. Especially his two childhood friends the royals Witira and Paseton.(Shickler sees him as his bratty kid too)

In tboah timeline, Cale and Archie teamed up on certain missions and to cause chaos. They got along surprisingly well after their first meeting, drove the heroes*cough Choi Han cough* mad.

In this AU, Cale and Rosaly are cousins. Choi Han is a knight protecting Crown Prince Alberu. They all become allies/friends eventually.

Archie became friends with Witira and Paseton when they were kids. Archie is a orphan, and does not get along with the other killer whales(some of the Whales are divided up into different tribes, the killer whales are not loyal to Shickler and do not get along with most other whales. They discarded and harmed Archie when he formed a friendship and later loyalty with Shickler's kids, His parents are unknown, but there are rumors his mother is a Lunar Whale and he is a half blood like Paseton..and that was why he was captured/betrayed in the first place).

The Lunar Whales were said to be able to swim amongst the stars. Blessed by the goddess of the moon, they are strong in mana, and were thought to be the best healers in the world, even more than those chosen by the sun god. None have been seen is so long they are thought to be nothing but a fairy tale. but perhaps it isn't?

The Molan family was never attacked and are still going strong. They and the Thames family have worked together for centuries, and Jour asked them to look after her son after she she passed away. They failed when he was captured, but Ron has made it his duty to insure he and his family never fail Cale again.

The Empire is the main 'enemy' but fighting is not the main plot. it's mostly just Cale and Archie learning to heal and rest, etc.

Cale and Archie still cause too much chaos tho. And lots of misunderstandings!

valentino - ceo of caro entertainment which focuses on casinos and other entertainment related businesses

litana - ceo of a business which sells environment friendly products or they could own a mining company lol

adin - ceo of a liquor company (bcs black mana) or a pharmaceutical company that do inhumane practices (if u know babel company from the kdrama vincenzo then thats them)

clopeh - pilot and heir to their family's airline company (cause for some reason my mind thought wyverns = airplanes since they both fly T_T)

i also thought of another possibility in which og!cale and roksoo are different people

cale - chaebol but revoked his position as heir to bassen and chose to be in a position slightly lower than bassen to support him. henituse financial group company focuses on banks and other financial related businesses.

1st possibility:

kim roksoo's og mother is a henituse who ran away from home. deruth (or cale) found him when he was working (they have a close relationship with the crossmans) which means cale and roksoo are cousins

2nd possibilty:

cale and roksoo studied at the same univ and grew close with each other

3rd possibility (this one i like the most):

kim roksoo is cale's half brother and a child out of wedlock (cale hated him at first because he's a symbol of his father's infidelity but after learning about his past he became overprotective of him) (im pushing my cale as a great big brother for roksoo agenda)

it was time for the weekly family video call. normally, cam looks forward to it, as everyone’s always away from each other, but currently, she was dreading it. she was about to tell them she has a boyfriend.

taking a deep breath, she finally joined the call, a smile involuntarily forming as she saw the four faces she missed.

“it’s about time,” taylor tsked. “four o’clock our time, cameron. can’t be slipping up now after being the picture perfect princess for eighteen years.”

“oh, shut up,” cam rolled her eyes, laughing at him. “how is everyone?”

“we’re good honey,” gary makar answered for him and his wife.

“good over here too,” cale added in.

“yeah, same,” taylor nodded. “cammy you good?”

“yeah,” cam nodded, scrunching her nose at the nickname. she’d always hated it.

“so tell me,” laura makar told her kids. “what’s new this week? and what’s everyone got planned?”

“it’s been good,” cale said, shrugging. “just busy with practicing and stuff

“yeah, same,” taylor agreed. “just busy with school and hockey.”

noticing his daughter’s quietness, gary furrowed his brows. she was usually the first to speak up, always excited about something. “cam honey, what about you? everything alright?”

“yeah, yeah, everything’s good,” cam nodded. “i have to tell you guys something though. please don’t be upset,” she said the last part quietly and directed it to her older brothers, who had a knack for overprotectiveness after her senior year of high school.

“cameron what’s going on?” cale demanded, worried. “are you okay?”

“yeah, i’m good,” cam rushed out. “i have a boyfriend.”

laura was the first to react, grinning ear to ear. “you do?” she asked excitedly. “that’s so lovely, sweetheart! tell us everything?”

“can he fight?” taylor blurted.

“probably,” cam mumbled, her eyes darting away from the computer to her wall, where a picture of her and gabe was taped up. “um, his name is gabe. he’s on the hockey team.”

“you’re dating a hockey player?” cale asked. when she nodded, he shook his head in disagreement. “i think that’s a bad idea, cam.”

“i think you don’t even know him,” cam snapped back unintentionally, upset he’s already disapproving the relationship. he hasn’t even met the guy.

“guys,” gary warned. “don’t fight. not now,” he demanded. “cam, i think this is nice. me and your mother will have to come up and visit soon so we can meet him.”

“yeah, i’ll be doing that too,” taylor grumbled. “so, he’s on the team?”

“he is,” cam nodded in confirmation. “if you do visit, please tell me; especially you, tay. i will not spring a family meeting on him.”

“how’d you even meet him?” cale asked sharply.

“we met at school,” cam dumbed down the story, knowing cale won’t be having any of it no matter what she says. “i know what you’re thinking, cale. he’s not like that. gabe is not like him.”

“you can’t be too sure,” cale said dismissively.

“i am sure,” cam whispered. “can’t you be happy for me, cale?”

“not if it’s going to get you hurt in the end,” cale denied immediately. “you’re my baby sister, cam. i won’t sit around and watch you get hurt over another boy like that,” he added on. “and he’s a hockey player; he isn’t good news.”

“you’re a hockey player,” cam defends her boyfriend. “taylor’s a hockey player. your argument is poor.”

“yeah, we are hockey players, that’s why i know that he’s no good for you. you deserve a better guy than that.”

cam opened her mouth to argue back, but there was a knock on the door, and gabe came in. he smiled at her as soon as she made eye contact, but his smile dropped as soon as he recognized the look in her eyes.

“whatever, cale,” she mumbled. “i have to go. love you guys.”

with that she ended the call, not waiting for anyone to respond. she closed her laptop and pushed it to the end of her bed. she looked up at gabe once again, a relieved smile falling on her lips.

“hi,” she whispered, watching as her boyfriend came and stood by the edge of her bed.

“hi,” her parroted. he watched as she moved to the edge, her legs hanging off her bed. he stepped between them, placing his hands on her knees. “is everything okay?”

“yeah,” she shrugged. “i don’t know about you, but i am hungry.”

“oh yeah?” gabe laughed. “and what would you like to eat, pretty girl?”

cam sent him the sweetest, most innocent smile she could. “chipotle?”

“you and your goddamn burritos,” gabe playfully rolled his eyes. he patted her knee. “let’s go.”

cam grinned and threw her arms around his neck, pulling him in. “thank you,” she giggled as his arms came around her waist, lifting her off the bed. her legs wrapped around his waist as he started to walk.

“yeah, yeah,” gabe playfully rolled his eyes, walking them over to ger closet, where her shoes were. “you okay? you seemed pretty tense when i came in.”

“uh yeah,” cam nodded when gabe set her on her feet. “i told my family about you. they wanna meet you.”

“oh,” gabe nodded, his heart rate picking up. “when?”

“i don’t know,” cam shrugged, kneeling down to put her shoes on. “my parents said they’d visit soon. so did taylor, so soon i guess,” she stood straight and noticed how tense he’d gotten. “hey, don’t worry. they’ll love you,” cam leaned up and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “and i’d never let them ambush you. you’ll have full warning of them coming here, i promise.”

“right,” gabe said quietly, clearing his throat. he shook his head, clearing his thoughts. “well, we should go and get dinner, yeah?”

cam nodded and smiled softly, grabbing his hand, allowing him to lead her out.

omg omg omg pls tell me you've read the new chapters of tcf T.T nobody I know reads that one, you're my last hope T.T

Babes, you saying something like that makes me want to go and read them, but alas - I haven't so far! I haven't read any new chapters in a rather long time, I'm afraid.

The last thing I consciously remember reading was that...chapter in the wuxia world where they walked into that tavern and someone threw chopsticks and Raon "secretly" caught them mid-air which, in turn, led everyone to believe that Cale is some OP martial artist even though his biggest martial talent is breathing.

You know. I really really loved Volume one, and I enjoyed it massively, but - at least up until that chopstick-chapter - I haven't been as fond of volume 2. I know the writer wants to finish it quickly, so is why the story is a bit more concise which is absolutely fine BUT. But.

I feel like they've cut out so much of what makes trash of the counts family trash of the counts family.

There's little banter between Cale and his friends, they basically run from one thing to the next, and Cale - once again - explains nothing to anyone despite already starting to change that habit while they were in the fucking war.

Seriously, while they were rushing through that dead mana world, I sometimes even forgot that Raon and the cats were there because they barely talked, and they had so little to do. It was driving me insane.

And then once they entered that Wuxia world...blegh. I hate that the author decided to make Cale weak once again. That joke has been done a million times by now, and after reading hundreds of chapters where Cale gets stronger and stronger and stronger, it is jarring to have him be the weakest again.

There was so much potential here!

They could actually have made him physically strong for once and shown how difficult it is for his companions to let go of their overprotectiveness towards him. It would have been an amazing point of conflict and have had an interesting influence on the team dynamic. But alas - we're back to mopping Cale off of the floor after a spirited sneeze, just like we've done before.

Add to that the fact that Wuxia isn't really my jam - I like the concept of it, but once you start talking about the "burping cloud dragon step" and the "attack of the ten tailed tiger" you've lost me - and ...well. It doesn't make for a fun read because I'm so frustrated with it.

Buuuuut you could totally tell me all about the new chapters! I don't mind spoilers! If you want to vent - vent. If you want to swoon - swoon. And I'll give my two cents in return!

Well, why Cale? Because On also loves Cale like everybody do, she loves and treasures him like crazy. She just know how to hide them and learn to show the most unsuspecting behavior as a child.

No, how can she be? She had been toying around with her life, saving herself and her brother. She was the one that took the risk of getting killed in order to leave the Cat Tribe, she was the one that stole food for her bother so he doesn't starve, she was the one that muster up the courage to warn the kind man that gave them both food to not go near the dangerous tree at the slum. And the kind man name's is Cale. So how? How can she not be crazily overprotective of him?
