i used to have a reoccurring fantasy about teaching cal how to kiss and i think i’d like to request some kind of cal + fingering where your hand is over his and you’re letting him get the feel for how you like it 🤚 if you enjoy the idea
i got carried away i think but indy this was just too delicious of a prompt <3 please everyone send me more cal kestis requests
this post is 18+, minors dni.
Cal's fingers are roughened by a lifetime of labor expedited into 20 short years. They're gentle, though, trepidatious as you nudge his hand further along into your cunt, squirming in place to accommodate for his lithe digits.
"It's-" His breath catches in his throat, his voice dimmed from it's usual brightness, seeming almost nervous, "It's warm."
Warm. Other men might have said tight, or wet, or pretty, all lust-driven shocks to their own pleasure centers. Cal, though, Cal who'd called your mouth and your hands the same thing, says it's warm.
Speaking of mouths, you press yours to his, coaxing him into a relaxed, messy sort of kiss to soothe his nerves. He'd been torn between rigidly puckering up and going slack-jawed at first, and you've finally fine-tuned his kissing skills into a perfect blend of both. He lets you guide- he always does, but he follows your lead, sucking gently on your bottom lip and leaning in, his head chasing yours downwards as you recline against his chest. You lick along his soft, slightly chapped upper lip as you begin dragging his two conjoined fingers out of you, and he lets you because he's lost in the feeling of your tongues brushing against each other.
When you push his fingers back in, that's when he whines, sounding almost caught off-guard by the way that your cunt has begun sucking him in. Cal is so intoxicatingly slow and tender that the brief minutes of kissing and heavy petting that you'd engaged in before this were enough to thoroughly soak you, and your cunt is eager for more of his fingers- in quantity or length, it doesn't care. You rock slightly against his hand, your slick entrance pressing nearly to his palm. He watches, blinking like he can't believe what he's seeing when his fingers have a glistening, sticky residue coating them upon removal.
You kiss fondly against his flushed, ruddy cheek, perhaps a little greedy in the way that you shove his fingers back in for more. He keens again, lips parted and breath hot against your skin, "It's- and it's soft. It's really warm and soft."
You nearly laugh at him, but you could never be cruel to him, so you nod.
"You can touch me more, y'know. You can go further in, you can spread your fingers, you can feel it however you want."
"I want-" He begins, but the firm press of something beginning to present itself against your back is enough to let you know how he wants to feel you, "I want it- I want, to- y'know, make you feel good."
You're not sure if it's his sincere, tender words that do it, or the way that his fingers have curled slightly in the abandonment of your own, but your cunt clenches around his digits, and his eyes blow open wide. He experiments, finding his footing, and you swear his pupils dilate as you squirm against the rubbing of his fingers against your walls.
"You are." You groan, turning to dig your face into his chest as he continues slowly raking his fingers in and out of your sensitive cunt, "You're doing really good, Cal, are-" You make a half-hearted attempt at a joke, "Are you sure I'm your first?"
"Mhm." He nods without hesitation, glancing up at you with his endearing eyes, "I've never- well, done any of this before."
It's painfully obvious in the way that he stammers after you take a well-timed smack at his ass here and there, but now, as he strokes his fingers inside of your cunt like he's been making your legs shake for years, he seems like an expert.
Perhaps he's just an expert on you, perhaps he's proficient in everything that he tries.
His thumb brushes your clit by mistake, and you jolt around his hand, thighs clenching to trap his hand in place. He seems apologetic at first, like he's done something wrong, but when you grab desperately for his thumb and guide it back to your clit, he watches with an intense gaze.
"Do it again. That's- ooh, that's perfect, Cal, you're- please do that again."
"Like... that?" He licks over his lips, worrying at the lower one with his teeth. Your body convulses in response, a shockwave of pleasure rippling through you, center-to-limb.
"Like that." Your voice is little more than a whine, something almost petulant as you slump your body weight against Cal's chest, "Please- please keep doing that, and- and start again with your other fingers- mmh! And- and everything together is-" He's watching your cunt intensely, it's angled upwards by your hips and he tests an especially strong press against your clit with his thumb.
Perhaps another time you'd hold yourself off, fight your impending orgasm down so that it will be more intense later, but instead you let your climax wash over you, teeth nearly pinching at Cal's shirt in an effort to restrain most of your vocal pleasure. You allow yourself muffled moans into his rough tunic, but you almost feel like you'd scare him if you screamed.
His free hand comes to wrap around your stomach, caging you gently against his body as you try not to writhe on his fingers. It's a makeshift hug, you suppose, something entirely Cal, tender and earnest and unknowing. Maybe one day he'll suck a mark against your collarbone, or tug at your breasts with his teeth, but today he hugs you, letting you ride out your orgasm on his hand.
When you calm, you push against his hand, prompting him to pull it out of your pussy. He lets you, staring still at the residue on his fingers.
"You can-" You start, ashamed of the words even before you say them for fear of scaring Cal off, "You can- taste it, if you want."
His brows raise, but he doesn't look put off. Instead, he raises his fingers slowly to his mouth, tongue padding his lower jaw as he envelops his fingers between his lips. He hums, almost thoughtful as he tastes your slick release, but he tucks his ring finger into his mouth next where some of it had spread to the space between.
His fingers shine only with spit when they come out of his mouth, and he tucks the damp hand beneath your jaw, tilting your face up for a kiss. He hesitates first, like he's asking if you're okay with tasting yourself on his tongue, and you nod instead of bridging the gap.
This time he leads, and you're happy to taste your own sex in his mouth.

Pairing: Inquisitor Cal Kestis x (f)reader
Tags: slight NSFW, use of the force, first kiss, kissing, fluff, fear, violence, hurt, comfort, feelings,
Cal went on about his daily responsibilities, which consisted of training, carrying out tasks for the empire, more training, tracking persons of interest, sitting silent in classified meetings where people discussed him like a resource to be allocated or used, and lastly, more training.
He found at times his hands itched for the tools he found laid on the floor near workers occupied with fixes and jobs.
On occasion, his commander would assign him to spy on the crew, both soldiers and staff alike, and report back to him in case there was a "cause for concern" by which he meant thoughts of rebellion.
The soldiers were easy enough - they were either bred or raised to obey orders, so there was very little questioning coming from them. But the crew, especially those who joined against their will, often resented their overlords. However, they were smart enough to know they were outnumbered, and their chance of success against a whole warship command - not to mention a force weirlding inquisitor - were slim.
Some were bothersome still. You, for example. The young mechanic girl who'd picked up a dangerous fascination with his sabers. Further force empathy revealed that you had even started conducting experiments of your own during your limited breaks. Shoving your rations down and running off to with scraps you stashed away (also forbidden, each and every gear on the warship was the Empire’s property) and put together some toys, and test them out.
Cal found himself feeling conflicted when he'd search your thoughts. One side of him wanted to grab you and shake you for attempting to replicate powerful tech you knew nothing about - something that would certainly be considered an act of stupidity. Another part wanted to turn you over to his commander and have you face the torterous consequences for treason. But there was a third, quiet side of him, the side that loved working with his hands, to build and create, that itched to hint you in the right direction.
It wasn't a flint that sparked that activated the lightsaber like you thought, it was a magnetic stabilizer. And the power wasn't derived from combined Gasses with oxygen- the saber itself wasn't a sword on fire.
It was kind of... endearing in an alarming way, how cluekess yet curious you were. A faint, dangerous voice whispered to him in ways he didn’t like. He noticed things about you that had nothing to do with duty. The way the fabric of your uniform clung to your figure when you bent over an engine, the slope of your neck when you tilted your head to focus, the faint sheen of sweat glistening on your skin after hours of work. It wasn’t just curiosity that pulled his attention toward you. It was something far more dangerous.
Tumblr media
Cal was currently on a mission. His pod had left with a small crew, you among them. He’d made it so, insisting on keeping you within close range. Whether it was duty or something far more unsettling, he couldn’t say.
While he and his commander went off to secure the main deal, the engineers were instructed to scour the bustling market for spare parts and machinery.
The streets were narrow and chaotic, brimming with stalls and vendors while children shouted deals and pitches on behalf of their parents, while salesmen gestured with polished tools and intricate pieces of machinery.
Cal didn’t need to focus on you to know your thoughts; they hummed in the back of his mind. You were debating if the offered screwdrivers were worth the price, weighing it in your hands and trying not to look to interested, lest you have to haggle for it.
He shifted, and his focus to the deal. The offer was as routine as it was effective.
"We can offer you protection," Cal’s commander said smoothly to the ruling house’s representative.
"From who?" asked the old man his voice cautious.
"From him." The commander tilted his head toward Cal.
On cue, the Inquisitor raised his hand. Blasters were torn from the guards’ grips, levitating in the air, their barrels slowly turning toward their owners. The guards froze, their fear palpable in the tense silence.
The representative swallowed hard, his ornate robes trembling as he nodded quickly, sealing the agreement. The Empire’s stranglehold on the galaxy tightened further.
The deal was completed in record time.
Tumblr media
Later, as the crew celebrated their success at a local bar, Cal was approached by one of the generals.
"Here, son. A littke way of showing the empire's grattitude. Take your pick," the man said, gesturing toward a group of women gathered nearby. Each one was clearly chosen to appeal to the Empire’s elite. They were beautiful, barely clothed, and eager.
Cal barely glanced at them. "I want the mechanic. EM-3415," he said finally, his voice cold and deliberate. "From the west paddock."
The general raised an eyebrow but shrugged. "Alright. Like I said, whoever you want."
Tumblr media
You were heading back to the bunk when two troopers intercepted you.
"Come with us," one of them said curtly.
"Where are we going?" you asked, but neither responded. They simply turned and began walking.
Unease twisted in your gut as you followed them through the warship’s labyrinthine halls. They led you to the wing reserved for high-ranking officials and military elites.
When they stopped at a door, they opened it without explanation and shoved you inside. The room was unlike anything you’d ever seen, a stark contrast to the drab quarters you were used to. The large bed was adorned with dark silk sheets, and a wide window revealed the vastness of space beyond, stars glittering like scattered diamonds.
You took a hesitant step forward, your boots sinking into the plush carpet. It was opulent, yes, but the silence felt heavy, as though the walls themselves were holding their breath.
Your eyes roamed the room, catching on a chair draped with dark robes. Then you heard the sound of running water.
Your pulse quickened as you backed away from the nearby door. The water stopped, and the quiet footsteps that followed sent a shiver down your spine.
The door opened, and Inquisitor Kestis stepped out.
Steam curled around his frame as he walked toward you, a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. His bare chest, defined and glistening with droplets of water, rose and fell with each steady breath. The sharp, dangerous lines of his face were softened only slightly by the damp strands of red hair clinging to his forehead.
It was like something out of the smuggled romance novels you and your bunkmate whispered about in the dead of night. Only this wasn’t a fantasy. This was real. And far more terrifying.
His eyes locked onto yours, piercing and unrelenting.
"I-Inquisitor," you stammered, snapping into a stiff salute. "Glory to the Empire. I didn’t mean to intrude - I was brought here."
"I know," he said nonchalantly, his voice low and calm with authority. A bead of water rolled down his temple and disappeared into the taut muscle of his shoulder. "I requested it."
Your eyes widened as the realization set in. You swallowed nervously, your mind scrambling for a response, but the words caught in your throat as he raised his hand slowly, and you felt your feet rise above the ground. You gasped, the feeling of floating entirely foreign but simultaneously fascinating. The force pulled you towards him in quick time. In a breath, you were standing in front of you. The warmth omitted from his body enveloped you, and you felt your face grow hot.
"I've never..." You rushed to say, but he did not look surprised. Of course he already knew. Those jedi mind tricks were awesome but damn creepy. You tried to clear your mind. But what he said next surprised you for some reason.
"Neither have I." His tone was guarded despite the vulnerability in the confession. Your brow rose. He was so intimidating, yet so... intriguing, how was it possible he has never been intimate.
His arms circled your waist, and your breathing grew shallow.
"That wasn't the reason i wanted you here." He confessed then. "Not now, anyway."
You couldn't look him in the eyes, especially knowing he could sense your thoughts. You wished you could read his to understand what he'd implied.
"I only wanted your company." He answered the question on your mind.
You released a breath, feeling a sense of relief, but also some confusion. Mostly at the possible reason why he thought you were worth his time. What would your company bring him.
"The life of an inquisitor can be lonely." Cal explained. "I remember what it was like to be... around someone who understands."
"What could I possibly understand about you?" You wondered out loud.
"I'm not sure yet," he furrowed his brow. "I just find myself drawn to you. To your thoughts." He hand rose to brush a loose lock of your hair.
You became extremely aware of the grease covering your skin from a full day's work, especially at seeing his cleanliness.
"When was the last time you showered?" He asked, definitely reading your mind.
You didn't perceive the question as an insult. "Yesterday evening. I was on my way to the communal bath when the troopers ordered me here."
He nodded, then took a step back into the steamed bathroom. Clean tiles, folded towels, and organized soaps made you almost hate him out of envy.
He chuckled behind you, and you'd assumed he'd read your mind again. You looked at the mirror, seeing the two of you. The greasy mechanic girl and the inquisitor of the imperium standing at command behind her. He stood a head above you, golden red irises challenging you in the mirrors reflection. You gave another hard swallow as your hand rose to the zipper of your uniform and slowly pulled it down.
Cal watched, unblinking as the skin of your breasts was revealed. Did he like what he was seeing? You wondered. You pull the uniform off of your shoulders and let it drop to the floor at your feet before kicking off your boots.
You stepped into the shower, the dirt from the bottom of your feet seeped out on the tile. Your hand reached and turned the handle, and a spray of water rained down on your heard, you inhaled and exhaled, closing your eyes against the comforting feeling.
You felt the warmth of his skin surrounded you as his hands came to hold your hips. One of them rose up your body until he reached your chin, then he lifted it, turning you to face him. His breath brushed your lips and you turned to face him fully.
He brought his lips down to yours then, giving you your first kiss. You didn't know what you were doing at first, but you know what movements felt better than others, and soon you began to move your lips against his. Your hands rose to his nape and your lifted yourself onto your tiptoes to get better access. The two of you stayed entwined in each other's arms, kissing for what felt like hours.
Tumblr media
After your shower, exhaustion took you and Cal dried you, lifted, and carried you to his bed. Wrapped up in the warm silk sheets, you wondered when you were ever going to be this clean again.
"Do you feel like youre betraying them?" You asked, as your eyelids grew more and more heavy. "The jedi."
He narrowed his gaze at you, prompting you to speak further, clarify.
"I heard about them." You continued nervously. "They preached peace, didn’t they?"
Cal looked off for a moment, then spoke quietly, "Peace is a concept of cowards, I stopped fighting the inevitable."
"How?" You asked, voice small.
"I embraced it."
"Thats..." You began, unable to imagine what he meant in your tired state.
"It's not so bad." He dismissed, his fingers lazily brushing your arm.
"I don't believe you." You said with a small voice.
This close, you had a clear view of his features. Faint freckles peppered across his nose and cheeks, red stubble covering the sharp edges of hus chin and across his jawline. You could tell he was clenching his teeth by the way his cheeks hollowed. He was in a state of perpetual inner conflict with himself. But for a minute you thought youd caught a rare shade of green peaking out behind the bloodshot gold rings of his irises. An indication of the boy he once was, buried alive by the hardened man standing in front of you now.
"The jedi are gone." He finally said, just as you gave yourself over to sleep.

“What’s wrong?” Cal asked as he comes to sit by Y/n. He noticed her acting off since they got back to the Mantis, and Cal wanted to know why.
“They gave you a good offer.” Y/n said not lifting her gaze from the floor, as she played with the rings on her fingers.
“Y/n-”
“You have to admit it’s an enticing one. No more running, no more hiding.” She let out a non amused laugh.
“I would never join the Empire. I’d never turn to the Darkside.” Cal speaks up, he knew that he was getting a little defensive but how could she think after they’ve been through he’d join the Empire and become a sith? “Why do you think I’d take their offer?”
Y/n sighed, still not looking at him. “It’d make your life easier.”
“I won’t leave you.” Cal stated grabbing her hands, making her look at him. “I could never leave you, and I’d never turn to the Darkside.”
“You mean that?” Y/n asked, looking at him with pleading eyes, hoping he truly meant that. That he wouldn’t leave her, or be taken from her like so many had been already.
“I mean every word.” Cal promises her, pulling her into him wrapping his arms around her tightly. He’d never become a Sith, he’d never join the Darkside of the Empire. Most of all he’d never leave Y/n. Not for anything.

Lover. Fighter.
Cal Kestis x reader
warnings:
a/n: im writing im writing im writing im writing (it only works if im procrastinating)
prompt: @sweetjedi: “Lover. Fighter. by SVRCINA Cal Kestis Romantic (unless platonic fits more)”//Lover. Fighter. - SVRCINA
Tumblr media
The two of your had past and future intertwined, Jedi ripped from familiarity and forced to conform, cheating death in the process.
Meeting was never in the cards, but against all odds you and Cal crossed paths and saved each other in the darkest of times. Impossible circumstances brought you into a new war, one you’d wished was over for you.
“The Jedi were peacekeepers, I wish I could have experienced peace in my time.” You sullenly explained to Cal when your fingers wrapped around his. “And if you say ‘it’s not too late,’ you’re wrong. We’ve experienced too much war and tragedy for me to escape the nightmares. No matter what happens, Cal, I will only see war.” It broke Cal’s heart to hear you speak of hopelessness, but he couldn’t say he didn’t understand.
“I get it.” Cal squeaked your hand and paused, silence growing solemn. You only heard the chirping of native insects on the planet you camped out on. “I still want to fight…maybe it’s all I know.”
“I never wanted to fight, even when my Master was training me.” You pulled away and stood up from the log you’d been resting on. “I’m fighting now, and that’s okay for now, but you know what? I’m still tired. And every day I fight hard against an Empire that’s fighting harder and I want to quit but I can’t. I can’t because I love you.”
“Y/N, I love you, too, and I’m fighting for you.” Cal stood up and closed the gap between you as you paced.
“I am, too! But how much do I have to lose? Am I going to lose you? Or the crew? Where is the finish line?” You frantically asked rhetorics as Cal pulled you close and soothed you.
“You aren’t going to lose me.” He said, but those were just words—and no matter what he said, it wouldn’t change how you felt after all these years of suffering. How could he promise if you’d already lost everything else? He knew just as well as you that wasn’t guaranteed, but there wasn’t anything else he could say. “Just stay with me. Please, stay.”
“I’m staying.” You mumbled into his shoulder, wrapping your arms tightly around him with tears on your cheeks. “And I’ll do whatever I can to keep you with me.”

You knew it was him from the moment you noticed the figure in the distance coming closer. There was a trademark swagger to his walk and his lithe silhouette gave him away every time. No matter how much you tried to suppress the excitement in your chest, it never seemed to work. Not when it came to him.
"Hello Cal Kestis," he stopped right in front of you, a roguish smile on his face. His hair was longer now, and he hadn't shaved in a bit and…he was sporting a black eye, a busted lip, and cuts all over his face. A sigh escaped your lips softly, "Cal."
"It's okay," he insisted softly, his hand instinctively went to your face as he brushed his knuckles across your cheek, "you should see the other guy."
"Cal."
"I know," he knew. Knew that nothing else but him mattered to you, "its nothing."
"You're going to give your daughter nightmares if she sees you like this," you leaned into his touch, "let me take care of you."
"I didn't come here for that," he whispered softly, a sheepish expression on his face. Despite everything he went through, he always managed to keep his boyish charm.
"I know," you promised, "but I also happen to be fond of you. Come on - she's still at daycare."
You reached for his hand and pulled him into the small house, mind already buzzing with the multitude of questions you had for him. It had been a while since you'd last seen him. Over a year.
You set him down on the edge of the tub in the 'fresher as you glanced through medical supplies you had. You'd kept way more on hand since you'd met him a few years ago. They came in handy.
"Do I want to know what happened?" You gently dabbed at his lip, wiping away the dried blood before tending to the scratches on his cheek.
"Probably not," he admitted softly, earning a quick nod from you. You grabbed some bacta gel and spread it around the dark bruising around his eye, "the last job didn't go so well."
You paused at the mention of his job. You knew what he did, more or less, but he never really went into details. For your sake and his.
"I'm glad you're okay," you looked up at him with wide eyes and he nodded softly, "please be careful."
"I am…" he caught your eye for a moment, watching as you raised your brows at him, "I will be."
"Promise me, Cal Kestis," you kneeled down so you were almost eye to eye with him, having to look up slightly, "please."
"I swear,” and he meant it. For himself, for you, and the daughter you shared.
You looked at him for a long moment. He'd become more hardened since you'd met him. But the boy you'd fallen in love with was still underneath it all. He didn't even know you loved him - at least you didn’t think he did. And you were almost positive that he didn’t feel that way about you.
You’d met by chance, became friends, and after a drunken one-night hookup ending up sharing a daughter. But that didn’t mean you didn’t love him; you did and you just wanted him safe and sound.
“Okay,” you leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek before standing back up. He followed suit and you noticed the flush of pink on his face. You tried to ignore the butterflies as you trailed your fingers along his scruffy jaw, “this is new.”
“You hate it,” he teased, smiling at you in the crooked way that you adored.
“I like it actually,” you smirked at him, “suits you. Now c’mon, let’s grab some lunch and then we can get Tansy. And you can tell me all about your adventures.”
“Sounds good,” he agreed softly, “missed you both.”
Your heart skipped a few beats before you made a small sound in response. He was really making this whole only friends thing way too hard.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“Tell me then,” you watched your favorite ginger jedi from across the table, relaxed at being in his presence again. You were sure that he could feel it, “what has been keeping you so occupied lately?”
“I…” he paused for a moment, looking around surreptitiously before leaning closer to you. You mirrored his action and motioned for him to go on, “I know I should have been back sooner.”
“Cal…”
“It’s not fair to Tansy for me to be gone so long,” he sighed lightly and you gave his hand a small squeeze, “or you-”
“Well, we didn’t exactly plan on…you know. Having a kid,” it definitely hadn’t been part of any plan you’d ever had. But still, he handled it beautifully and did his best to take care of both of you in his own way. After your daughter had been born, you’d been tempted to ask him to stay, to try and be a proper family, but you knew that wasn’t in his cards. You’d always known that - there was no way you’d keep Cal Kestis from fulfilling his destiny.
“No,” you might have been right, but he wouldn’t have changed a thing, “listen, I know this is going to sound crazy, and it probably is, but I think I…something’s happened.”
“Crazy? From you, jedi?” you whispered the last part, and brought a smile to his face, “tell me.”
“I went to Koboh to look for Greez for help with the Mantis after…a job on Coruscant that went wrong,” your heart constricted at the mere thought of something happening to him, “one thing led to another but basically we found out about this planet called Tanalorr.”
“Tanalorr. I’ve never heard of that…”
“Almost no one has,” his eyes practically glittered with excitement, “a jedi master found it hundreds of years ago and tried to…hide it basically. Keep it safe and untouched. If we find it, and assuming all of it’s true, it could be a place untouched by the Empire, and raiders, and anyone else. It could be a new home…we could be safe there.”
Your brow furrowed as you tried to process everything that he was saying. It all sounded so good and wonderful and the idea that there was a safe place somewhere in the galaxy made your heart yearn for the future. A future you could maybe share with Cal and your daughter as a family.
“Cal,” you sighed softly and noticed the way his face fell, “that sounds…amazing - truly. I know the jedi were - are - capable of amazing things. But this…it sounds like a tale told to keep children entertained.”
“It’s real,” he insisted, “I know it is. I’ve seen proof. I know it’s out there..I-I just have to find it.  Then we could-”
“Wait, Cal, stop for a moment,” your face was a mask of worry despite your ebay efforts to keep it neutral, “you’re not seriously thinking about this, are you? This is crazy-”
“It’s a risk that could be worth everything,” he took your hand in both of his hands and held onto it tightly, “we wouldn’t have to worry about anything. We’d be safe.”
“If you don’t die trying to get there,” you whispered, “or what if you get there and it’s something completely different? I don’t…I can’t lose you, Cal.”
“There’s risk involved with everything - even you being here,” he closed his eyes and exhaled slowly, “but it’s a risk I have to take. I promise-”
“She’s like you,” you blurted out and caused Cal’s eyes to snap open and watch you closely. You pulled your hand away and swallowed the lump that had welled up in your throat, “Tansy…I think she’s like you. Sensitive.”
Oh. Oh. He knew, he’d always know that there was a high likelihood that his daughter would end up like him. Force sensitive. Back before the end of the Order, she would have likely already have been on her way to Jedi Temple on Coruscant. But now all it did was serve to put a giant target on her. A rush of pride and excitement flowed through him - along with a bundle of nerves settling into his stomach.
“How do you…know?”
“I’ve noticed her doing some things that a normal kid definitely couldn’t do,” you whispered, “you’ll have to tell me for me but…I think I’m right. Cal…this is really exciting but-”
“I’m scared,” he finished for you and you nodded lightly, “I will never do anything to put either of you in danger. I’ll keep you, both of you safe. I promise.”
“But how can I keep you safe?” your voice cracked slightly as you looked at him with concern. His expression was soft as you turned your head and wiped away the tears that had rolled down your cheeks, “Cal, I l-”
“Daddy!”
Tansy tore away from her babysitter, breaking into as much of a run as was possible for her little legs. You shook your head fondly before giving an apologetic expression to the twi'lek that cared for her.
"Tan Tan!" Cal dropped to a crouch so he could scoop her into his arms, embracing her tightly. The resemblance between the two of them was uncanny; she'd inherited his red hair and green eyes and already had his sense of adventure. The two of them were nothing but trouble together already, "I've missed you so much."
"Missed you too," despite the fact that he wasn't around all the time - he tried as best as he could to be there for her - you were happy that they shared such a close bond. She adored him as he did her, "are you staying?"
"Yes," he promised, peppering her chubby cheeks with kisses, "if that's okay with Mommy."
You caught for a moment, trying to hide the exasperated look on your face. Of course you wanted him to stay, but you also weren't finished with your previous conversation, "yes, of course. You're always welcome, Cal."
"Yay," Tansy wrapped her little arms around his neck and clung onto him like a koala, "I can show you my new toys!"
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"I think she's finally asleep," Cal quietly padded out of Tansy's room and made his way back over to you. You were in the living room, nursing a mug of tea and absentmindedly reading a holobook. He sat down next to you, tense for a moment as he anticipated your reaction, "she's got so much energy."
"She takes after you in so many ways," you put the book and turned to him with a soft smile. Cal mirrored it before, reaching over and gently tucking a lock of hair behind your ear. He’d been with you for a couple of weeks now, and you yearned for him to stay and make this your everyday reality. It would have been so easy…
"What are you thinking about?" His voice was barely above a whisper. One of the things you loved - and sometimes hated - about him was that he'd always been able to read you so easily.
"I wish you were here more often," you hated how small and pathetic your voice sounded as you shrugged your shoulders lightly, "not for my sake but hers. But it'd be nice knowing you are safe too."
The jedi paused for a long moment, the air thick with so many unsaid things. He allowed himself to catch a glimpse of your expression before sitting back and exhaling softly, "I love you, you know."
"Cal, you don't just have to say-"
"I'm not," he insisted firmly and your eyes widened in surprise, "you know I'd never lie to you or say anything I didn't mean. And I'm not just saying it because of Tansy. I mean it - I've always meant it."
"Oh. Oh," maker. Cal just said what you had wanted to say for so long but couldn't bring yourself to admit. Which meant he felt the same. He felt the same way. But there was still a put in your stomach, "why did you leave?"
He paused, his lips pulling into a thin line, "you knew I couldn't stay. Especially after you got pregnant. It wasn't safe for me to be here all the time. I just wanted you both safe."
"I know," and you had. Cal did everything with purpose…he wasn't the kind of man to anything without some consideration, "I know. But I still wish you were here more. And I feel so selfish for even thinking that."
"It's not selfish," he whispered, brushing his knuckles across your cheek, "I wish you were with me too. I think about every day, you know."
You managed a small, teary eyed little smile. He reached into the collar of his shirt and pulled out the chain that was nestled safely against his chest. A small gasp escaped your lips when you realized it was your necklace. The very same one you'd given him the first time he'd left you a few months after the two of you had met. You'd found out you were pregnant a few weeks later.
"You still have it," you traced your finger along the soft golden chain, causing his heart to skip a few beats from your tender touch, "after all this time."
"I've never taken it off," he put his hand on top of yours and lightly squeezed it, "sometimes I feel like this is the only thing that's kept me alive."
"I love you," your declaration was so quiet that Cal almost wasn't sure if he'd heard you correctly. Judging from the nervous look on your face, he was pretty sure you'd said that. You bit the inside of your cheek for a moment, "I just wanted you to know too."
"C'mere," his hands found your face and you had to work to keep a wistful sigh from escaping. You leaned in and before you could even think about it, he was kissing you. Softly and gently, but with everything he had to give. You didn't pull away from him until you were dizzied and breathless. He pressed his forehead against yours, smiling softly, "one day, I'll get to do this every day."
"Every day?"
"Yes," it was a promise, resolute and firm, "I just need a little more time. I want to follow this lead and find Tanalorr."
"Cal-"
"I'll be careful," the reassurance didn't ease your worry, "if it's safe and actually is what it'd supposed to be, I'll come for both of you and we can make a new home."
"And if it's not?"
"I'll find us somewhere safe," he trailed his fingers softly along your jaw, "I promise."
"Okay," you didn't want to agree but you also knew there was no way to talk Cal out of something when he was set in his ways. You fisted the front of his shirt in your hand and blink away the fresh tears, "promise me one more thing?"
"Anything," he brushed your tears away and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
"Come back to us," his eyes softened as you silently pleaded for him, the force, the universe or whatever was out there, go make it come true, "please come back to us safely. I can't…I don't want anything to happen to you."
"I'll always come back to you," in your heart you knew he meant it, "and Tansy. I just need a little bit of time."
"Okay," you exhaled shakily, "okay. When were you thinking about leaving?"
"Now - tonight," that was enough to crush your spirit, "the sooner I'm gone, the sooner I'm back. And I…I think it might be easier if I'm gone tonight rather than leaving when she's awake."
"I hate that you're right," you huffed with laughter, but there was no amusement behind the sound, "come back soon?"
"As soon as I can," he wrapped you up in a tight hug, pulling as tightly against his chest as possible. You hugged him back just as fiercely, wishing you'd never have to let him go. He kissed the side of your head as you buried your face in his chest, "soon."
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"This is always the worst part," you stood on your doorstep in the middle of the night, bidding your goodbyes to Cal. Again. At least this time you knew it wouldn't be too long, "watching you go."
"Yeah," he cast a forlorn look towards the window of his daughter's room. His heart ached already, "its hard for me too. But this is the last time we'll have to be apart."
"Swear on it, Cal Kestis," you held out your pinkie and he couldn't help the laugh that reached your ears. He hooked his pinkie around yours and squeezed lightly, "or I'll find you and make you regret it."
"Swear," he brought your hand to his lips and pressed a gentle kiss to your palm, "I wouldn't put anything past you."
"Good," your heart fluttered at his kiss and you leaned in and pressed another to his lips, "see you soon."
"Soon," he agreed, kissing you a few more times, "I love you."
"I love you, Cal Kestis," you touched his cheek before whispering, "may the force be with you."
"And with you," he took one last look at you before taking a step back, "oh - you were right, you know. About Tansy."
"Oh," you looked at him with a wondrous expression, "oh?"
"We'll talk about it next time," he offered you a cheeky wink as you beamed at him, "just be happy with the knowledge that you were right."
"Like always," you held up a hand in a small, sad little wave, "goodbye, Cal."
"Not goodbye - see you soon, sweetheart."

Working for Saw Gerrera was tough, there was no doubt. But, the sacrifices were worth it to keep the Empire at bay. Things got better though when a cute, red-headed jedi joined up. He was as powerful as the stories said, and you and Cal Kestis became quick friends among the chaos of the world around you.
It started by accident; you and Cal would come to each other for comfort and to offer support after missions, and things blossomed before you each realized it. The two of you would lay together for hours in the evenings, just embracing each other, and sometimes more. Neither of you knew what to call what you had, so you left it unspoken.
One particular night, you were in your quarters when Cal knocked on your door. When you opened it, he looked defeated, and bruises littered his face.
“Cal,” you breathed, “Come in,” you ushered in inside and closed the door, “What happened?”
Cal grunted as he settled himself in a chair and exhaled deeply, “Got ambushed,” he sighed as he closed his eyes, feeling safe for the first time that night, “We lost too many today.”
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, not knowing what else to say as you grabbed your med pack and dabbed some bacta patches on his face. When Cal winced in pain you furrowed your brows, “Sorry,” you repeated.
“Thanks,” he breathed your name as he gave you a soft look. It was always a relief to Cal to come back to you, even if neither of you expressed your true feelings in words. What started as something physical quickly grew to more for him, but he kept his mouth shut.
“I’m glad you’re here, Cal,” you said, “I don’t know where we would be if it weren’t for you.”
Cal looked at you with a pleading look in his eyes and a hint of a smile on his face, “Always happy to help,” his voice was low as he knew exactly what you meant. Having a jedi on your side sometimes made the difference between life and death, and he was a powerful ally to have.
But sometimes you worried that Cal did too much for everyone else, neglecting himself in the process. You let out a sigh as you placed the med kit to the side, “Let me take care of you, Cal,” your tone was hushed as you brushed a lock of hair off his brow, “You carry too much with you. Let me help you tonight.”
He groaned your name softly as you straddled his waist and ran your fingers along the tight muscles of his neck. You always had a way about your touch, and it made Cal melt under your hands every time. You made him feel safe, and he hoped you felt the same way about him.
You hummed softly as you watched Cal’s eyes flutter shut. You ran your fingers down the sides of his neck and squeezed the tense muscles in his shoulders. As you did so, you leaned forward and placed soft, light kisses on his forehead and temples. Cal’s hands rested on your hips as you slowly rocked them on his lap.
Cal moaned your name as he felt himself starting to harden underneath you.
“Shh,” you cooed as you continued to place feather-light kisses all over his face. Your hand stopped kneading his muscles as instead gently held onto his shoulders as you kissed your way to his lips. Once there, you took them with your own in a soft yet passionate kiss. He immediately parted his lips for you to deepen it, and in response you rocked your hips just a little bit faster.
As your tongue danced with Cal’s, you grazed your hands down his torso and slipped them underneath his shirt. He shuttered into you and you felt goosebumps erupt on his skin as you tickled him. Cal’s grip on you tightened as he felt your hands run back up his body and land on his chest. You gave his pecs a soft squeeze and savored the low moan that Cal let out.
Breaking away, you tugged his shirt up and off his shoulders, and Cal took the opportunity to do the same to you. But, before he could move, you crashed your lips into his once more. This kiss was still slow and soft, but the desperation was there still. You felt Cal’s hands slide up and down your sides as you rubbed his nipples with your thumbs. Your hips continued to rock and back and forth, teasing him as he hardened more and more underneath you.
“Babe,” he breathed as you broke the kiss and started to nibble your way down his neck, following the same path with your mouth that your fingers did before.
“I’ve got you, Cal,” you murmured against his skin as you gently sucked at a sensitive spot at the base of his neck, “Let me take care of you today,” you repeated your words from earlier, but this time in a lower tone.
“You always take care of me,” Cal whispered as he cradled the back of your head with one hand and wrapped his other arm around your waist.
“And I always will,” you moaned as you kissed your way back up and took his lips with yours once more.
His moan was stifled by your lips, but the way his cock twitched underneath you told you what he wanted to say. Breaking away once more, you lifted yourself up just enough to tug at his pants. Cal immediately got the hint and helped you yank them down before removing your own pants. When you settled back down, it was skin to skin, and it made both of you gasp.
Every time it felt like the first time with him. Every touch always felt electrical, like it jolted your heart awake from its slumber. Cal’s warm skin lit a fire under your own and when you bucked your hips against his length, it sent a wave of pleasure up your spine. Your mouth dropped open, but before you could let out any sound, it was his turn to capture your lips in a heated kiss.
As your lips locked, you lifted your hips just enough to position yourself over his cock. Cal fumbled around blindly as he helped you, teasing your entrance with his fingers for a moment as he did so. He laughed into you as you let out a little yelp of surprise at the feeling of his fingers against you.
“I’ve got you,” Call mirrored your words as he guided you back down on his cock.
Both of you gasped loudly as he slowly pushed into you. Inch by inch, you lowered yourself onto Cal’s lap, taking him in as you did so. There was no rush, you had all the time in the galaxy tonight. And you liked taking it slow with him, savoring every little feeling every inch of him. You grabbed onto his shoulder to steady yourself as your hips met his once more, only this time, Cal was deep inside you.
“You’re amazing,” he murmured as he kissed your eyebrow softly.
Your eyes fluttered open, and you hadn’t even realized you closed them. But the way Cal looked at you made your heart skip a beat. Without another word, you kissed him deeply, tangling your tongue with his as you lifted your hips just an inch or so and lowered back down again. Both of you groaned into each other as you repeated your action. Again and again, you rocked yourself against Cal, feeling the jolt of pleasure that shot up your spine as you took his entire length in.
Cal moaned your name as he wrapped his arms around you, running his hands along your back in a comforting motion. You leaned forward and rested your forehead against his and mirrored his actions. It was slow, yet full of emotions. Cal gently thrust his hips up to meet yours and soon you both found a rhythm together as you rode him.
“Cal…” you moaned as you felt the familiar tingle build up from deep within you.
“I know,” he grunted softly, “Me too.”
You sighed as your moans started to get louder from your approaching climax. And Cal’s matched yours as he sped up just slightly. The two of you clung to each other, only needing a few more thrusts for your peaks to hit one right after the after. You crashed your lips together as you came together, spilling yourselves against each other.
With one final exhale, you fell forward, but Cal caught you, wrapping you securely in his arms as you nestled yourself in the crook of his neck. His softening cock stayed inside you, but neither of you cared to move. You both were too comfortable, too content to even think about moving. Tomorrow would bring a new challenge- it always did- but for now, you and Cal could stay in comfortable quietness.

You’ve always been a light-sleeper even while on the Mantis you would hear Greez wake up a few times to use the ‘fresher, so it wasn’t a surprise when you heard Cal start to mumble a few words as he slept. Traveling to Zeffo made you on edge especially seeing how the Empire occupied this planet but a tomb was here that Cal needed to get to, but considering how huge Zeffo was it was taking more time than being on Bogano.
Cal let out another mumble of words some of it you couldn’t make out but he was starting to frown a bit in his sleep suddenly panicked Cal finally wakes up, scaring BD-1 in the process who was asleep next to him.
“Cal?”
He looked over at you breathlessly letting out a sigh “Are you alright?” You asked it seemed like he wasn’t even sure himself “sorry.. I didn’t mean to wake you.”
You chuckled “you didn’t I’ve always been a light-sleeper Cal theres a reason why Cere put my room close to the opening of the Mantis.” Cal gave you a small smile but he still seemed troubled which in return troubled you, “did you want to talk about it?” You asked.
Cal laid back on his bedroll folding his hands across his stomach as he looked up at the sky, you wondered if he was debating on telling you or not. You two haven’t traveled with each other for that long but he was quick to trust you and you trusted him back, especially when he showed a lot of empathy towards people.
“Did you know any Jedis growing up?” Cal asked truth be told you didn’t, Mandalorians weren’t exactly buddy-buddy with Jedis considering their history but you didn’t exactly hate Jedis as other Mandalorians did. “No not really Mandalore wasn’t exactly a hotspot for Jedis.”
Cal nodded “When order 66 happened I was on a ship at Bracca with my master.. we were getting ready to leave when suddenly..” Cal trailed off but you already knew what he was going to say, Cere told you about clone troopers suddenly betraying them and gunning down any Jedis they saw.
Even young padawans… “We didn’t understand what was happening and master Jaro Tapal he protected me..” Cal sat up from his bedroll and buried his face into his hands, “but I couldn’t protect him back I failed him.”
You frowned “Cal you can’t blame yourself you were just a kid and a padawan at that.” But that didn’t seem to reassure him he still continued to blame himself even after years have passed he couldn’t come to accept it, “Cal.”
He looked over at you the campfire he built reflected against your beskar helmet as you titled your head to the side, “did I ever tell you about the night Mandalore fell?” He shook his head, you didn’t like talking about it too many painful memories from that night never healed but if Cal trusted you with his nightmares you felt like it was mutual respect if you did the same.
“Night of a Thousand Tears is what we call it, when the Empire destroyed anything about Mandalorians to send a message to the rest of the galaxy..” Cal’s eyes soften as you spoke “My buir helped me escape while they stayed back to help fight off imperials on the ground..” your voice wavered, “the empire in the end wiped out my home-world leaving nothing behind besides a few survivors who are now scattered across the galaxy.”
You never took off your helmet for that exact reason it was last piece of history you had from Mandalore and you would honor that history even if it was only you alone to carry it, “our buirs.. our guardian’s sacrificed themselves to save us in the end Cal we can’t go back no matter how much we miss those days.”
You took a moment no matter how much time has passed you could never forget that night, how many times did you cry during that night or even after that night? Days, months, years? You lost count honestly.
“But what we can do is make sure we continue to live just for them.” You saw Cal smile softly when you said that, while you knew his battles weren’t over yet at least you could push them a bit further away to help him get some sleep “thank you.” He softly said.
“No problem but you should get some sleep I think that tomb a still a little further away.”
“What about you?” He asked.
“I’m a light-sleeper don’t worry about me.” You watch as Cal settles in his bedroll again this time he doesn’t wake up, you look up at the stars on Zeffo.
You feel this strange feeling in your chest you looked over at Cal who was peacefully asleep, you noticed small scars on his brow and his lip before seeing a much larger one near his neck “cuyan you’ll be the end of me..” you mumbled before finally closing your eyes.

Summary: You are Cal's girfriend and have social anxiety. When you go to a social gathering, Cal is there to help out.
Tumblr media
Taking a deep breath it wasn’t enough to calm your nerves. Gripping on tight to the seat you sat on. Knees trembling anxiously the more you thought about. Biting your lip, a million disastrous thoughts crossed your mind. You barely noticed BD entering the room you were in. He bleeped loud, startling you. He tilted his head a bit to the side, tripling on his stands. You sighed deep. – “No I’m not that excited BD.” – you told him.
“I’m not sure about this… maybe… maybe I should just sit this one out?” – you suggested, pleading with the droid as if it was his call. There was a knock on the wall outside the room. Cal entering all smiley. He came leaning against the doorway, admiring you for a moment. His lovey dovey eyes making way for worriedness.
He noticed how uncomfortable you were. – “Y/n.” – he said stepping up to you. BD jumped aside when Cal came kneeling in front of you. – “Everything alright?” – he asked placing a caring hand on your trembling knee. With gentle pressure, he stopped it from shaking nervously. There was no lying to him, so you told him the truth.
“I…I…I shouldn’t come… I’m a walking disaster.” – you confessed, looking ashamed away. Cal curled up a warm smile, moving his hand over your knee to you hand, taking it. – “I don’t want you to worry.” – he told you.
“If you don’t feel like coming. I understand. I am not fond of those meetings too, but it is nice to know you are by my side. Yet!” – he concluded holding his finger up. – “That does not mean I am pressuring you. If you want to sit this one out, I am all for it if it makes you feel better.” – you smiled faintly at how caring he was. Always considering your feelings over his own.
You squeezed his hand to reassure him. – “I…I want to be there for you.” – you said, shoulders slouching. – “It is just… I’m afraid I’ll make it worse with my presence alone. I am not the best in conversating with people I don’t know.” – you reminded him even though he didn’t need reminding. – “I know, my star.” – he replied, tugging some hair behind your ear. It made you smile bashfully down. – “If you feel like falling, I’ll be there to hold you. I promise you I’m not letting go.” – he reassured you.
“You won’t be lonely as I’ll hold on tight to you, If you want to go to the restroom, too bad as I am clutched onto you.” – he said making you laugh loud. He always found a way to cheer you up and it worked. – “You’ll get bored of me.” – you teased. Cal looked dramatically shocked. – “Me? Bored of you? How could I when my love for you is so big.” – he opened his arms, making you quirk your brows. He fell forwards, strapping his arms around you.
You laughed loud feeling him tickle your side. Squirming under his grip. – “Cal…Cal stop!” – you called out laughing. He chuckled moving his hands up. He then pressed a deep kiss on your cheek. He helped you up, BD bleeping loud on the ground. – “Right about that BD!” – Cal called out proudly. You furrowed your brows. – “We aren’t letting you deal with this alone!” – he explained making you smile.
Moving your hand to his cheek, you left a kiss on his other cheek. Cal grinned from ear to ear. He took your hand, squeezing it tight. – “I’ll never let go.” – he whispered to you. BD hopped onto his back as he guided you further down the Mantis. Some of your anxiety had left your body which was good. Cere asked silently how things were. Cal winked at her, saying enough. Cere nodded following you to the entrance way of the Mantis.
The three of you got off, greeted by the fresh air. You swallowed nervously, squeezing his hand a bit more. – “I’m right here.” – he whispered to you, kissing you teasingly. Cere took the lead, Cal and you followed. You focused on the exterior to not be confronted with the brooding anxiety in you.
To calm your mind, you started to silently count the trees you spotted. Cal smiled hearing you softly mutter out the numbers. You were alright and that was what mattered. If you were not, he promised himself he’d get you out of there as soon as possible. Not caring what people would think of him or how rude he’d be. You were his priority now and always.
You came to a sudden stop at the entrance. The shadow of the building casted down on you. Slowly feeling the building stretch out while you grew smaller and smaller. Heart thumping louder against your chest. Cal brought your entangled hand up, whispering close to you. – “We can still run away if you like? I’ve heard there are many places to sneak off to.” – You slowly shook your head, knowing how important this was for Jedi’s all around the galaxy.
This was bigger than you. – “I follow you everywhere.” – you told him. Cal moved his shoulder up, a signal for BD to hop on your back. The reassurance of the droid close by made you ease a bit up. – “Don’t worry, BD will sting everyone who comes too close for your standards.” – he chuckled out. You nudged him for his glamorous humor.
Taking a deep breath, the two of you walked inside. Cere was waiting in the main hall, smiling at your presence. The moment you entered the room, your body stiffened. There were a lot more people then you anticipated. Cal noticed it, turning you away from them. Tilting your chin up by his thumb. – “Focus on me, only on me. We’ll stay right here and let those who want to come to us. No need to wander around and chat. We’ll stay right here.”
Flashed with love, you kissed him deeply on the lips. Arms wrapped around him. It surprised him for a moment as you practically jumped at him. He smiled against your lips before kissing you back. – “I love you Cal.” – you told him. – “I love you more Y/n.” – he replied, pressing your hand against his chest.
Cal distracted you by telling you vigorous wild stories, using his whole body to showcase it. It made you laugh, slowly easing up and forgetting about the people in the room with you. When someone would come to meet you because Cere brought them to Cal and you, he held your hand close.
Making sure you didn’t need to talk if you didn’t feel like it. Drawing the attention deliberately to him so they wouldn’t make you nervous. It made you feel so loved, you let your head lean against his shoulder, blessed to have such a caring Jedi boyfriend.

————
You stretch your arms over your head, happy to finally be in a bed that wasn’t on a ship or a sleeping bag on the ground. You unstrap the holster where you kept your blaster and toss it to the side, snuggling further into the scratchy sheets below you.
You can hear Cal talking to Greez just outside of the door, their voices low and serious. Usually you’d be more inclined to listen in and jump in to protect him, but you’re so tired tonight you can’t bring yourself to care.
He’s a Jedi, he can take care of himself.
It’s been a long day and all you want is to fall asleep, your head starting to drift away. You’re interrupted when the door slides open with a clang and the frame of the bunk bed rattles.
You can hear Cal groaning below you, sprawling out on the lower half of the bunk beds. BD-1 hums in agreement, probably making himself busy scanning all of the stuff in the room.
You fall into an uneasy sleep, tossing and turning within the small bed frame. It doesn’t last very long though, because you hear a small yelp that has you sitting up so fast the world spins.
You can hear Cal whimpering below you, feeling the movement of him on the bed beneath you. He must be having a nightmare—an all too common occurrence over the past few years. You slide out of your bed as quietly as possible, wool socks sliding against the floor.
You sit on the edge of his bed and run a hand across his forehead, smoothing his red hair back. After travelling together for so long, you’ve learned to read him in a way no one else can.
You wrap your other hand around his, thumb stroking the back of his hand. “Shh, it’s okay Cal. You’re safe here. I’m with you, it’s okay.”
The crease in his eyebrows eases and his lip stops quivering. You sigh in relief, leaning in to press a soft kiss to his forehead. You’re not sure when this started, this uneasy relationship between the two of you.
It wasn’t one born out of want, but out of necessity. You needed to keep each other around to survive, and the amount of times you’ve cling to each other in the dead of night were immeasurable. The amount of times you’ve fallen asleep in his arms, on his chest, bodies pressed so close together you’re not sure where he ends and you begin.
You go to stand up, ready to head back to your own bed, but his hand catches your wrist. “Where are you going?” He mumbles.
“Just back to bed. I’ll be right above you, Cal.”
His green eyes soften, “lay with me?”
You sigh. You can never resist his boyish charm and he knows it. That’s how you end up climbing into bed with him, laying on your side so you can face him. “Did you have a bad dream?”
“Just the usual,” he admits. “Thank you for being here.”
“For you? Always.”
He wraps an arm around you, tugging you until your chests are pressed together and all you can smell and feel is him. His hand runs up and down your hip, tracing patterns on the fabric of your shirt.
He rolls onto his back so that both of you can be more comfortable and your head falls naturally into the crook of his arm like it always does. You can feel the muscles beneath his shirt, feel the rise and fall of his chest. It’s all so familiar to you.
He kisses the top of your head. “I love you, y/n.”
Your heart flutters at the words, and you tap the syllables onto his thigh as you repeat them back to him. “I love you,” you whisper. “I love you.”
For the past few years, you’ve travelled the galaxy. You haven’t had a home, nowhere to settle down. But laying in bed with him right now, all you can think is that your home is wherever Cal Kestis is.

Pairing: Cal Kestis x (f)reader
Tags: Dark, inquisitor Cal, fear, eventual smut
You hadn’t had many run-ins with Jedi - certainly not since the execution of Order 66 - but you’d heard about the tragedy that swept the galaxy. When your home planet was raided by the Empire, led by the Inquisitor Kestis, you and all the other engineers across your planet were offered one choice: your lives, in exchange for your service aboard their warship.
"It’s a good thing we’re smart," your bunkmate muttered the first night.
You’d nodded.
People often confused "smart" with "useful." The only reason you knew how to fix and build was because you’d been doing it since you could walk. You had no choice as an orphan who was taken in by a mechanic for an extra pair of hands to help run his shop. In the galaxy, life had nothing to do with knowledge or ability, only with what you could provide those in power. Either way, your skills saved you. Though looking around the cramped quarters and sterile showers, "safety" didn’t feel like much of a luxury.
One day, while on your way to the hangar, a flicker of movement caught your eye. The hallways were filled with the usual noise of boots pounding against metal floors. Troops marched and staff rushed past each other on their way to stations.
Glancing to your right, you noticed a large glass wall separating the corridor from a training chamber. Inside, Inquisitor Kestis stood poised, saber in hand, ready to strike. Opposite him was another figure, perhaps another Inquisitor or Sith, holding a lightsaber of her own.
Gone was Kestis’s imposing black hood, traded for something more practical for training. His robes were fitted and sleek, dark fabric wrapping around his torso and leaving his arms bare and free to move. The material looked thick, expensive. Designed to protect him without hindering his agility. The kind of fabric that could likely withstand a blade or, at the very least, a brush with heat.
You glanced down at your own uniform, a jumpsuit that had clearly belonged to someone else before you. Stretched seams, covered with stains that never washed out, no matter how hard you tried. The material was thin, offering little protection if something sparked or went wrong at your station. You tried not to think about how envious you were of his armor, his privilege. While he could charge into battle, cloaked in armor that would shield him, you worked with the constant chance that a minor mistake could mean serious injury.
Kestis’s focus was deadly, his stance sharp, as he charged forward. The hum of lightsabers clashing vibrated through the glass, and you felt the intense heat even from your distance. Sparks flew. You winced as the woman’s saber cut a streak across his arm, leaving a burning red graze.
What a weapon, you thought, marveling at the display of power. Jedi weren’t the only ones capable of wielding lightsabers, but they were the only ones allowed. Surely, though, someone built them- engineers, technicians. What went into their construction? Perhaps a flint, or even gunpowder-
A hard nudge interrupted your thoughts, nearly causing you to drop your toolbox. A trooper barely glanced at you as he shoved past, his voice bored. "Quit gawking and get to your station."
You swallowed, casting a final glance at the training grounds, and turned away - only to nearly collide with a figure standing in your path. Yellow eyes, framed by freckles and red hair, met yours with an intensity that stopped you cold.
Your breath hitched, and you flinched, dropping your toolbox this time. You braced for the inevitable crash, but none came. Peeking down, you saw the box hovering inches above the ground. Your eyes widened when you realized you were witnessing the Force in use. Inquisitor Kestis’s open palm was extended toward it, his expression unbothered, like he barely had to try.
You’d heard that using the Force could exhaust the jedi, but Kestis stood there, not even breaking a sweat. His gaze shifted from the box to you, unreadable - a look that held pain, fear, and something even darker beneath it.
"Enjoying the view?" His voice dripped with a quiet menace, as though you were being interrogated. Yellow eyes locked onto you, a jarring contrast against the freckles dusted across his nose and cheeks - features that, in any other life, might have softened him. Those eyes, once rumored to be kind, now burned with a cold amber glow, radiating something far darker, something deadly. His gaze held you in place, dissecting every twitch, every flicker of unease.
You swallowed hard and shook your head, then realized that might seem offensive. "I mean - I just…"
"You were watching me train." His voice dropped, almost curious, as he raised the toolbox with the Force until it reached his hand. "Jealous of my clothes. Wondering if you could make one of these yourself?" He lifted the saber in his other hand, the metal glinting ominously.
You took an instinctive step back, eyes drawn to the unlit saber. How many people had lost their lives at the end of it?
Then, a chill ran down your spine. How did he know you were thinking about building one? Could he-
"Yes, I can," he said, a deadly serious look in his eyes. "Be careful what you think around me."
He held the toolbox out to you, his gaze steady. You forced yourself to take it, your fingers trembling slightly. "Th-thank you, sir."
"I’d get moving if I were you."
"Right. Long live the Empire." Your voice was barely a whisper.
"Long live the Empire," he echoed. You could have sworn his tone was mocking as he turned away.
The salute must have seemed a twisted joke from someone who once fought against the very regime he now served.
Your pulse quickened as you hurried down the corridor.

Opposite forces attract
Pairing- inquisitor cal kestis x Jedi reader
Summary: your master left you in the care of Jaro tupal when order 66 took place. Making you leave with cal to bracca and continue the journey with him on the mantis, but what happens when the empire captures him and yall are left on opposite sides.
Warnings- none.
Chapter 1/?
It had been afew weeks of training with Cal under Master Tupal. Your master left you with him before he embarked on a dangerous mission where you couldn’t go. It was okay though you had spent a lot of time with cal as a youngling so you were actually excited.
Learning everything from jumping from platforms, recalling your saber to your hand, wall running, but when the training days were over and you and Cal returned to your room it was a lot of card games, story telling, reading old book from the archives to each other.
Master Tupal would get on to yall for goofing off together during training. Cal dreaded the day when your master would come back and collect you continue your training again.
He didn’t realize that day would never come.
It was like any other training days. You got up, woke Cal up and got your training robes on. Yall walked to the mess hall together, all of the clone troopers would look at the two of you and laugh and shake their heads watching as yall would use the force to trip the other up.
You ate breakfast with Cal and moved on to meet Master Tupal in the training room. “Good morning Padawans it is time for instruction.” You hear Master Tupal say from the observing area above you.
“Yes master.” Both of you say at the same time. And chuckle. “Reach my position, do not keep me waiting.” He said while turning his back and walking away.
You glanced at each other and became moving, working together to reach him. You would fall and he would jump down to help you restart.
He jumped to the door way at the top and pulled himself up he turned and reached a hand out to pull you up. You force jumped and landed next to him.
“I got it Kestis” you said while lightly brushing his shoulder and smiling. He rolled his eyes while turning and following you.
He waved his hand opening the door in front of you leading to Master Tupal.
“We will begin with physical preparation. First though, we have orders.” He said while looking between you both and the golden colored clone across from him. “Bracca is secure. We move out for Mygeeto shortly.”
“Yes!” You and cal yelled and jumped.
“You must….” Master Tupal stumbled grabbing his head. “Master?” “Are you okay?” You both said over the other. “Something is ….wrong.” He said still holding his head. You watched as the clone raised his blaster and your breath caught in your throat. Before you could yell Master Tupal pulled his light saber out and slashed the blaster and then the clone. All you could hear was Cal yell “No!” While smelling the burns on the clone.
“What’s happening? Why did the commander ju-.”
“Padawans, something terrible is happening, the clones have betrayed us. There are no answers to your questions. Not yet. We need to get off this ship. Quickly.” He said turning “get to the escape pods. Use the maintenance halls. We trained for this, do you remember?” He said while bending down to look at both of us “yes Master.” Cal said you continued to stare at the floor, still in shock of what just happened. “W-what about you?” Cal said “I will create a distraction and meet you, if I am not there when you both arrive leave without me. I will find you on Bracca. Do you understand? You said with his hand on Cals shoulder
“Yes Master.” Cal replied. Master Tupal stood turning around “they are coming, I will seal the blast doors but if any cross your path, do not hesitate. Keep each other safe, stay with each other and nothing will happen. Now go and may the force be with you both.” He hit the door with his fist “Go!” He yelled.
You both took off running down the hall. “There they are! Shoot to kill!” The clones at the end of the hall shouted you both pulled your light saber and defending yourself. You looked over at Cal doing the same.
You both bobbed and weaved through halls until Cal pulled you towards a vent pulling it from the wall and rushing in. You followed after him. After sneaking for sometime. You came upon a big drop with a circle platform in the middle.
Cal jumped fighting off clones. I see as his lightsaber flies from his hands making you spring in to action and defend him. From behind the clones you a lightsaber cutting through them. Out stepped Master Tupal from the fallen clones.
“Padawan, your lightsaber!” He yelled “sorry Master.” Cal apologized getting up. “ keep moving both of you, you are almost there.” He said turning around and the door shut behind him. “ we are okay.” Cal said whether to you or himself you weren’t 100% sure but it helped you regardless.
He grabbed your hand like he always did and looked in your eyes. “You heard the Master, let’s keep climbing.” He said then he let go of your hand and did just that.
You both climbed and ran through halls you paused when you seen Master Tupal through holes in the floor. Watching him cut down clones. You keep going hearing his voice through the vents “you must activate the pod if we are to escape.” He stated “yes Master!” You both yelled never stopping running.
We opened a door to face 4 clones with blasters raised the same clones that had looked at you with so much joy that same morning.you had your light saber up ready to defend you both Master Tupal came through the door and cut them down before you had to defend you both.
“The door controls Padawans!” He yells as we ran to them while he continued to fight them off. More clones came through the doors “Cal. Hurry.” He yelled as shots went out across the room.
You both slapped buttons trying to open it and them a blaster bullet grazed your upper arm making you fall against the door and Cal ducked to reach out to you “Y/N!” He yelled making Master Tupal looked back then kept swinging his lightsaber with precision until it caught up to him he then took 4 shots across his body.
He hit his knees and looked at Cal and you. You were gripping your upper arm and he was holding your arm while covering his head.
He threw more clones in to the ceiling, and received afew more shots to the chest making him fall in to the escape pod. Cal stepping in front to defend you both receiving a blaster graze to his face. He them shouted freezing the rest of the clones.
He then turned and grabbed you and pulled you in to the pod. The door shot and we launched to space toward Bracca.
We both jumped up and ran the Master Tupal on the ground. “Cal. Y/N. I over loaded the ships reactors. The explosion will mask our escape. This..war is not over Padawans.” He looked from one of you to the other
“Hold the line. Wait for the Jedi counsels signal.
He struggled to breath pulling out his lightsaber putting it in Cals hands. “Trust only…in the force”
“Yes Master.” Cal said. Master Tupal looked at me
“Yes Master Tupal.” You stated with tears streaming down your face. His hand fell from the lightsaber motionless. We felt the explosion which sent us both back against the wall. We jumped to the seats so we could strap in you watched Cal hold the saber to his chest and screamed. You jumped up and knelt beside him putting your head on his arm and sobbed for his loss and the unknown that awaited on Bracca.
Please let me know if you like it. I have a lot I want to do with it. So please let me know if it is something you like or if you have any input. Thank you.

You each were stripped down to your undergarments, standing at the edge of a small lake on the densely wooded planet of Kashyyyk. A pit stop on your trek across the galaxy to save the next generation of Jedi, but there were some personal obstacles in your way, like your fear of water and inability to swim. “Hey, I’m right here with you.” Cal said, holding your arm as your feet touched the cool water, a nice feeling with the humid air starting to overtake your senses. “Keep walking, you’re gonna be fine.”
“I know, Cal, I’ve had a bath before. We’re barely a foot in.” You snapped due to the stress of facing a fear. “Sorry, this is just a lot.” You sighed and closed your eyes, letting him lead you deeper into the lake. He chuckled and squeezed your arm.
“You’re doing fine.” He assured just before he suddenly swept you off of your feet and carried you bridal-style into the water. “Don’t freak, I’m not gonna do anything crazy.”
“Okay?! What are you doing, then?” You nervously raised your voice. Cal took you deeper into the water until your body was submerged, but his arms were still tightly wrapped under your knees and back, meanwhile you gripped tightly to his upper body.
“Just holding you for now. Just get used to it a minute, I’ve got you. You’re fine.” Cal explained to you calmly, slowly turning you back and forth and letting you get a nice feel of your surroundings while he did all the heavy work. “You doing okay?”
“Not too bad.” You responded, looking towards his eyes and smiling before gently leaning your head on his shoulder. “Carry me a little while longer. I’m starting to feel better.”
