Why isn’t there Duke Caboom fanfics? I mean not with the toy but imagine Duke Caboom is a real person and the toy is based on him (like the Buzz Lightyear film) but basically it’s Keanu Reeves and he’s a stunt man. Have I lost my mind? Maybe but I see potential there. Just forget the toy, he’s a human, a human stunt man with a moustache.

Notes

Everybody is all smiles for the group picture, from heroes to villains and everything in-between. Even characters who were otherwise sticks in the mud like Hank genuinely smile for the picture. Villains such as Muntz, de la Cruz, Lotso, Thunderclap and his gang, Syndrome, Evelyn, Randall, Waternoose, Hopper, Skinner, and Ercole, as much of evil psychopaths they were, are seen tenderly and respectfully singing along. Even Sid, who was a massive bully to Hannah, is seen giving her a kind brotherly embrace. Also, most movies’ main cast seem to be cramped together. Even the villains stand near their respective heroes, everyone in a healthy relationship with their families and loved ones are tenderly holding each other close, and many of the larger characters offer their bodies for the smaller ones.

Forky, Heimlich, Dory, Jack-Jack, Mater, WALL-E, and one of the triplets wave at the camera.

Dim and Wee Dingwall give the camera dopey smiles.

The egg-shaped bluebirds and the gawky bird stand perched above the entrance. The bluebirds are happy to have the gawky bird with them, a far cry from how they treated him in their short.

Sulley carries Boo tenderly in his arms. Helen does the same to Jack-Jack, as do Presto with Alec, Carl and Russell with Kevin’s babies, Elinor and Fergus with their triplet sons, Embarrassment with Envy, Massimo with Machiavelli, and Izzy with Sox.

Riley, Grace, and Bree all carry Knick together while Riley’s parents carry the Miami and Florida knick knacks, Val and the Fire Hawks carry the Egypt, Jamaica, Palm Springs, Israel, and Death Valley knick knacks, and Coach Roberts carries Sunny Atlantis in her fish bowl.

little v would somehow catch a Toy Story 4 rerun that is more grain than film and be like "Hey that Duke Caboom guy sounds like you!" and genuinely like the little toy so much. (they're both happy guys who got thrown in the trash after failing a stunt). he scoured the webs to find someone who sold the actual toy, tracked the guy down, and stole it, all so he can have it in his apartment as a collectible. He also has the "Ca-Boom!" sound as a message ringtone for some time just to annoy Johnny further.

Reeves is known for his leading roles in action films, his amiable public image, and his philanthropic efforts.

Born in Beirut and raised in Toronto, he made his acting debut in the Canadian television series Hangin' In (1984), before making his feature-film debut in Youngblood (1986). Reeves had his breakthrough role in the science-fiction comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), and he reprised his role in the sequel Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991). The latest fan-made concept trailer for a live-action Pixar film imagines Toy Story getting the treatment. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Chris Pratt leads the cast of the imagined film.

Shared on YouTube by Multiverse of Movies, the same channel that previously put out a concept trailer for The Incredibles in live-action, a concept trailer for the live-action version of Toy Story has been released. With AI-generated imagery and voices, Pratt is featured as one of the actors playing live-action versions of various Toy Story characters. Given how Pratt has already taken on iconic roles of animated characters like Mario and Garfield, it may not be too shocking if such a casting were to happen in reality. The faux trailer can be seen below.

Currently, there are no known plans for Toy Story, or any other Pixar film, to be reimagined in live-action. However, the franchise continues to move along, even after Toy Story 4 had seemed to cap off the movie series. It's been announced that Toy Story 5 is in the works with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen set to return as the voices of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. While not many plot details have been divulged, it's been hinted that the story will see the toys competing with modern technology taking away the attention of children.

Toy Story 5 will be released on June 19, 2026.
