the tech aspect of ghost in the shell: stand alone complex as a work of cyberpunk has aged so well. this show is over 20 years old and feels just as applicable and in reach while still teetering on the line of unreality and science fiction. the episode chat! chat! chat! could be set today with twitter or reddit or whatever version of 4chan is still running and feel no different. the only slightly dated futuristic aspect is the use of cables and input/output ports for cyberbrain connections

Wolfcat is sooooo funky to me esp now that it’s confirmed that Sora and Jordana were in school together and drifted apart. I don’t really see them as toxic yuri anymore and more as Jordana somewhat-joining the ninja and they are both confused as fuck about one another. Just exhausted from life and scared of AND for the other person. They have so many issues to fix between each other and themselves, and if it takes them like 10 years to actually get together then I am completely okay with that.
