two sisters, salmon and cuttlefish, salmon being red herrings mom and cuttlefish being seahorses mom ! neither of them are doing ok and cuttlefish is missing, presumed possibly dead after doing some horrible things. sisters :3

Ode To L’Manberg: My Unfinished Symphony

I’m back with the second work in my series presenting story of L’Manberg as written in my main DSMP au (Symphony of Gods and Dreamers). The lore dumps I have posted about this au can be found under the Zorishy’s Bursona Lore tag.

This poster covers the events of the Manberg vs. Pogtopia arc.

AU specific details in this poster:

Fundy has been aged down

Sally burned the flag and delivered Fundy’s “You had a dream and I followed it” line

Tubbo escaped the Manberg festival without being executed

Technoblade had no involvement in L’Manberg during this arc, only Pogtopia

Dream also had no involvement in this arc

Dream already had the revival book before the events of the server

Wilbur was badly injured in the explosion of L’Manberg and Phil killed him out of mercy

The button in the final control room was armed with TNT

The button Wilbur pressed to blow up L’Manberg was the one in the final control room

The radioisotope experiments on that lake near me are fascinating in so many ways but mostly in the Jurassic park/chaos theory aspect.

The lake’s outlet was dredged, beavers removed, and fish species (native and otherwise) poisoned in an attempt to control nature and minimize manipulated variables. Then the steelhead they put in decided to be rainbow trout and wouldn’t go to sea. The lake was poisoned again to hopefully start over with a clean slate.

After that, they put in steelhead x rainbow trout hybrids (they’re the same species!! Literally the same!!) and numerous were eaten by steelheads that had managed to survive. And ofc these “hybrids” didn’t want to go to sea either (“the rainbow trout genes were dominant”) so they poison the lake again and put in sockeye who ate so much and grew so quickly it threw off their life cycle and also didn’t want to go to sea!

If you go there now the beavers are back and the creek has returned to a natural state. Nature Life uh finds a way.

red herring is born (hatched) to Salmon (seawing) and Moonhunter (nightwing). Her cousin Seahorse also lives with them.

Her family lives above water as 1. her dad is a nightwing 2. Her gills are non functional. She also has bunch of problems and struggles with school + due to her not being to breathe underwater from the already few schools who could accommodate her there is even less.

After being kicked out of another school, its parents eventually decide to enroll it in the Jade Mountain Academy to wich it reacts terribly and ends up having a violent breakdown.

One of the things it struggles with are intrusive thoughts, really violent ones and in a world where mind readers are real it is terrified of other nightwings. Its also why it doesn't visit its dads extended family (the one time it happened Red Herring ran off somwhere and for hours couldn't be found. after it its parents decide to not do that again)

there is also [REDACTED] but for now im not really getting into that.

Back to the academy. It is having a terrible time especially as it turns out there is in fact a mindreader attending the school, Starchaser. Red is terrified of her as well as very hostile towards the nightwing.

But what is interesting, is that despite the violent origin of their relationship the two have alot of in common (read: both are really unwell) and it evolves into something. Kind of romantic but also not? Its complicated.

Aaand that's it. Obviously it's not everything just stuff that i have the most clear image of. Also Reds relationship with Seahorse is strained. Both of them used to be close when younger but now are distant. As for her parents they are actually pretty alright considering what type of parents i usually give my characters. They make few mistakes but overall they are nice and supportive.

Schlatt and Quackity were part of L’Manberg when it was founded.

Fundy has been aged down, being only 2 during the war.

the button in the final control room would have blown up L’Manberg if Schlatt and Quackity hadn’t prevented Eret from pressing it.

Dream stole the revival book from Mumza long before the beginning of the SMP and has been corrupted by its power. (Not that he wasn’t already evil to begin with)

The original L’Manberg army was much larger than in canon and made up of defectors from Dream’s early colonies on the SMP.
