"Don't worry about him, marriage is a scam." Kenny told the woman they were speaking to at the bar. The poor girl had been whining over some dumb guy because she was scared he wasn't going to propose. It was honestly so stupid in Kenny's opinion. They didn't fully understand why people got married in the first place, even though made videos for weddings and they very impulsively got married about a year ago. Legally, they were married still.

"Just--" Kenny cut themselves off with a gasp as they spotted a man walk by the bar, he was wearing an Ewok costume and Kenny was Princess Leia, specifically from Return of the Jedi. This was fate. This was perfection. "Hold that thought." Kenny held up a finger to the woman they were talking to before jumping off their bar stool.

"YOU! Hey you!!" Kenny was basically chasing after the man and when they finally caught up to him, they grabbed his shoulder and turned him around to face them. "Oh my god!! Look at you! Look at us!!"

truth be told, tyler was expecting at least some hesitation. not that he thought benji couldn't handle any of the tasks that he gave him, but because any normal person would have at least tried to get it down to two. that boded well for the man in his book. another thing to add onto the pro list if they really did end up working together. hearing about tate's supposed death date didn't seem to shock him. if anything, a month seemed like a long time. ❝i'll tell him to lay low in between now and then. i'm sure that you can get all of those tasks done by the end of the week and then we'll have three weeks to get right to work. unless there's a reason why i should think it's going to take longer?❞ brows went up as he asked the question. no doubt in his voice, he just wanted to be clear.

javier wasn't freaking out per say. he had been through those same tasks when he first joined. actually more. he also had to work with quinn and moses. the only one he didn't have to do was the deal because when he joined, the last dealer had just died. tyler still wasn't done though. ❝show the audio clip to tate. he should be the one that cares more about how someone is planning to kill him. he knows you're talking to me, so he won't be wary of you like he normally is.❞ with that, tyler leaned back on the chair again. javier thanked his boss before stepping out of the room. he let out a deep breath that he seemed to be holding for a while now. he handed benji's phone back to him and halted before heading back to the exit, knowing the twins were there. ❝are you okay with all of this?❞

Benji knew very little of Tucker, even though he didn't admit to that. He sounded like a tougher nut to crack, but maybe his temper was similar to Richard's which would make it easier for Benji to read him. Or maybe he was completely different. Luckily, Benji never shied away from challenges. In silence but also very closely he listened to the instructions and nodded a few times. It made sense that he was supposed to work with Tate alone, it didn't bother him, but will it bother his boyfriend? Benji made a mental note to talk it out with Javi later. At least the rub on his shoulders gave him a little clue that his boyfriend didn't see that coming. And sadly, Benji didn't see it coming that he had to fulfill three tasks. One, sure, but three? Especially the task with Tucker worried him.

❝Consider it done. You won't be disappointed.❞ Benji answered without any sign of hesitation. Swiftly, he got up from his seat. Yet, instead of moving back, he pulled one of the money bills close to him and grabbed a pencil. In silence, he wrote a date four weeks ahead down first, then he put the pencil away and moved over to Javier's side. ❝It's Tate's estimated death date. For now. If he changes his habits the date will be changed.❞ His fingers slipped between Javier's fingers to get a hold of his boyfriend's hand again. ❝ I'll bring the full audio on top of what you asked me. On my phone is just a snippet.❞ They still had to listen to that whenever Tyler wanted but maybe he wanted to wait. He gave Javier's hand a gentle squeeze before tracing his thumb over the back of his hand, a sign that he'll follow Javier's lead now.

"W-what happened?" His whole body ached, but he didn't understand where he was and how he got here.

Benji didn't know how he had gotten to this town, but he felt his legs and arms burn as if he had been dragged through a fire. He wasn't aware of his wolf yet, and what he had been turned into - but the bite on the back of his neck told enough.

"Where am I?"

Christina chuckles. "Fair enough," she nods, her head turning in the direction of the booth near her where her son awaits for her. "I have to be thankful though, that he's willing to try anything at least once to figure out what's good for him and what's not." She heard some of the horror stories of some parents having the pickest kids. "Right?" She laughs once again. "Dino nuggies are the best ones. I don't know what they do to them but I sometimes middle of the night snack eat them."

"Ah, when you put it like that, it does sound like they would rather eat the cheese instead which is really fucking weird especially if you think about Kraft." There's another laugh to leave her, the image of someone being obsessed with the powdered cheese which she has to admit isn't her favorite, she'd much rather have cheese sauce from scratch.

Her gaze shifts from Colton over to Benji, a soft smile curves her features as it twitches every once in a while, a motion that shows her amusement in the conversation. "I can see why you feel that way, sharks used to really freak me out but then we came across one of those documentaries one day and Colton was in such awe of it I knew I had to take him to the aquarium and now it's his favorite place on earth. I swear he might be a marina biologist." She chuckles.

"Yeah, I work at the Golden Lounge so typically on my days off I'm spending them at the park, at the rink or the aquarium. Lately, Colton has been having sleepovers with his dad so I just... stay home. I'm not even sure what to do with myself most days."

"I haven't, and I'm not interested in ever trying it, but I won't say it isn't good to someone else." Besides, props to those who are adventurous enough to try it or anything new. He's done his fair share of stepping out of the box when it comes to food options. "Dinosaur chicken nuggets, though?"

His favorite simple snack, Ben has definitely had some of those stowed away in his freezer at some point. After late nights at work whether it be something that had gone wrong in the lab or a late field day, the frozen microwavables are the easiest to put together. Or nights like tonight, where he stops in for take-out.

"Back tracking to the noodle aversion, so they just… like cheese? Cheese sauce? That's not good alone. That's just weird." Ben visibly shudders at the very image of someone slurping down the cheese from the foil packet. And what about Kraft? When it's a powder? They might as well do lines of cheese at that point.

Hah, that's a funnier image than the other one, at least.

"The aquarium is… cool. I guess. I don't know, I don't like those big tube tunnels, and sharks scare me. And fish look like they have zero thoughts but will murder you if they have a chance." It is definitely more the feeling of being surrounded by water but not being in it. Ben's tried, and he's left feeling more uneasy than ever. "Comic Cons, sometimes. But I definitely either hit up Four Leaf, one of my best friends owns the place, or I stay in because half my week I am working outdoors."

And California doesn't have the easiest terrain to hike through, that's for sure.

Just thinking about, in Fallout, how frightened for his life Benji is when they learn that Ilsa’s after Lane and how nothing will stop her from killing him, but Ethan promises to protect him. And then you get to the final showdown against Lane and it’s actually Ilsa that fights to save Benji’s life!

What Kimberly loved about Halloween was the creativity that came with the holiday when it came to dressing up in any costumes. The decor and the sweets were an added bonus, but when it came to the horror and gore, she'd rather pass on that. She can proudly admit that she was indeed a scaredy cat and that wasn't going to change, especially with how dramatic she could get.

This Halloween was different since it was a calmer one and well thought out as she wanted her boyfriend to not only feel comfortable, but enjoy his favourite time of the year despite what had happened to them. Currently at the pumpkin patch, Kimberly held onto Benji's hand as they walked around to find their chosen pumpkin. "Do you have an idea of what kind we should be looking for? I haven't done this kind of activity in a while, so I'm not sure if we should be going big or small." Stopping in her tracks, she then adjusted her thigh high boots since she was currently dressed as her version of Sailor Moon, before reaching out for her boyfriend's hand to continue their trek. "So I actually have a hook up here that can give us the tools and space to carve it out. And then we can leave it in the trunk after since we'll be attending The Addams Family screening later. How does that sound for you?"

Ever since she's made the decision to come back to Wilmington, Jemma knew this encounted was bound to happen. In fact, she's expected it to happen a lot sooner, considering her growing fame after taking over 'Ordinary'. The least she wanted to feel was awkward but that's exactly how she felt the second she saw Benji walking towards her.
