Have my pre-caffeine thought that Mr Beak is a Nice Thing. He's not something they need for survival, he's just Nice to have. And they haven't had a lot of Nice Things have they? They only have what they can carry with them. And there's been a couple mentions of Scar Nice Things - the journal and the painting, but there hasn't really been much mention of Grian Nice Things.

YES. this is a good thought. you're so right.

grian doesn't really have anything that'd be purely sentimental or a "leisure" item, instead of things needed for survival.

scar has the journal, and it's not like it's off-limits to grian; he actually does use it, but mostly just in little ways. scribbles or notes, things he hopes scar would find and laugh at, you know? he can go to a random page, write or draw something in, then wait to see how long it'll take for scar to notice. it's almost like a little game <3 but the journal is ultimately scar's, and it has limited amount of pages, and it can't be easily replaced, so... grian really tries not to take up too much of the valuable space, you know?

when they get scarfakins, a silly painting but so worth it because it makes scar happy, they also take something else out of that cabin: a soft, blue sweater (kinda seen here and here). but that's a piece of clothing, which, again, aids survival by the end of the day, no matter how nice and soft it is.

it really takes until mr beak for grian to have something like that of his own. something that is, in a way, useless. just nice to have. (and that's like, late spring i think?)

the real question is: how long will he be able to keep it... :3

vex arc is nice because another side effect of it is that, with a semblance of permanency (i wonder how that ends :3c), they slowly start thinking about things they don't need but just want. oh, maybe next time they're out and find a camp, they could look for some nice fabric to replace their ratty curtains? hey, maybe they could spend a day chopping some wood, getting materials? maybe they could fix up their little place, do some changes and adjustments? maybe they could help the other vexes with their homes, too?

and building something isn't exactly a thing to Have, as in, a physical something to hold onto. but it is a Nice Thing, too.

I watched Ghosts Season 3 Episode 2 earlier today!! Some quick thoughts :D

Poor Jay 😭😭💔 he really didn't deserve what he was going through this episode :(( but I'm glad Sass and him are actually gonna be dream friends, it's gonna be great :')). It'll be soo nice for him to actually be able to connect with them a little more :'D. Also it's wild to me to actually realize that he knows what Sass actually looks like now lol. Like I said, wild xD. Anyway, I'm glad everything worked out in the end :'))

SASS'S GHOST POWER IS SO COOL!!?!??! Bro casually hid the coolest ghost power ever for his entire afterlife xD no biggie. Lol, it was really cool to see though! And I'm glad he's hopefully no longer using it for evil lol (most of the time)

Sam was being wild for using Sass's ghost power against Jay xd. I'm glad it was a smaller thing though, and that she learned her lesson. Also Isaac just vibing and following her around all Wednesday was great xD

Speaking of poor Jay, poor Thor 😭. Man was being seduced from all sides and half of them just wanted to be sucked off xdd. It was hilarious though lol xD. And poor Trevor 😭. Man was also going through it. And LOL Alberta not even being phazed by them still being together xD. Barely shocked lol. I am surprised Trevor revealed it so easily though! Anyway, hopefully they're okay xdd. Hetty was on one this episode lol (as she often is though, like they all are, so yk xD). Anyway, I'm glad in the end they did just listen to Thor :'). Poor guy is going through it and I'm glad they're there for him <33.

Also, once again with the poor xD, poor Pete just trying his best to be morally upstanding this episode lol. My guy was doing his darndest, and if it wasn't admirable xd. Good job, Pete, lol, even amongst all the drama xD.

Loved this episode!! I thought it was great, and it was a really fun watch :D. Sasappis's ghost power is SO COOL and I hope we get to see it more in the future :D - for less selfish/manipulative reasons, obviously lol. I also think the way it was done was really cool! Also, it took me a while to realize that it worked because Jay wouldn't/didn't recognize Sasappis lol xD. I think before he said that but I'm not sure lol. Anyway, really enjoyed the episode!!

Suddenly you heard your phone ringing, thinking it was Miguel you excitedly picked up only to realize it was definitely not Miguel the one calling you.

“Hey, are you okay? I just wanted to apologize for leaving you in that closet with Miguel, I didn’t actually mean to, I mean it would have been a great idea but I sadly didn’t come up with it, I know Miguel is really mean to you and I’m so sorry that I left you in there-“

“He kissed me”

“Oh my god, I knew he was gonna be mean I’m so sorr- wait what? Did I hear you correctly?”

“You heard me, but I’m so confused, like it all statted when we got trapped in there, he said it was probably my plan for us to get trapped in there together and be able to get in his personal space, I called him an asshole and he started being mean about my accent and I just snapped at him, I was telling him how I don’t know why he hates me so much when he cut me off by kissing me, and then like it ended in a heavy make out session, until you opened the door, then he told me it wasn’t over yet, but I’ve been waiting all day and he hasn’t even texted me!”

And after that, until it had been a month of Miguel straight out ignoring you and only interacting with you when it was really necessary and he had no option but to do so, using Jess to communicate with you if it wasn’t crucial for him to interact with you, this only made you more confused at the start, but then you concluded it just confirmed that he didn’t actually mean anything out of that kiss.

So you decided that you were done waiting for him, and you were done hurting, so you were gonna move on.

As if the universe had heard you, Jess called you into Miguel’s office and introduced you to a new recruit that she thought you would get along with, he had curly hair, green eyes, he was tall and a bit muscular but not like Miguel, he was the prettiest man you had ever seen, well after Miguel…

He introduced himself as Mariano.

Of course Miguel noticed the look awe in your face, but to his dismay Jess told you to give Mariano a tour which you happily agreed to, maybe too happily for Miguel’s liking.

It had been almost a month since Mariano was recruited, and even if Miguel didn’t like it, you and Mariano had grown closer.

Miguel really wanted to do something about it, but he hadn’t spoken a word to you for like two months, how was he supposed to just talk to you and tell you to stay away from that man cause he was jealous after everything he did?

How could he even explain why he suddenly ghosted you when even himself didn’t know the reason, don’t get me wrong, Miguel liked that kiss, hell, he loved it, he wanted to do it again, and again, and again, it felt like a drug and he felt as if he was going through withdrawal, and Mariano in the picture didn’t help the symptoms.

So Miguel did the most reasonable thing to do, he went to Peter B.

Peter told Miguel to just tell you what he really felt and to explain why he ghosted you before Mariano made a move, because it was obvious that Mariano had a huge crush on you, sadly it seemed like you had a crush in him too.

So Miguel ran, he went over to your universe as fast as he could, he knocked on your door without actually having a speech prepared, and before he knew it you had already opened the door, he looked at you and saw you wearing the black dress that he gave you, he saw as you had really heavy make up and then he realized why you opened so quickly… you were going on a date.

“Wait, Miguel? what are you doing here” you said in a not so happy tone.

“Please don’t go on a date with Mariano”.

“And why should I listen to you?”.

“Just please, don’t go”.

“¿Qué chingados te pasa? ¿Quién te crees Miguel? eh? a ver, no me puedes besar y luego ignorarme para venir a decirme con quien puedo salir y con quien no solo porque te dolió en tu ego”.

guys i have another minor problem with trolls band together that i think should be addressed. floyd's "death" scene should have been longer, because we should have seen the brothers realizing their wrongs and regretting that they ever left and at least showing a little more remorse for losing their brother. they could have been crying even though they're not sensitive ones like floyd, and that would have been a nice touch. plus, branch really would've taken it the hardest, probs with him screaming and crying painfully. i wanted to see something like the brothers saying "no...come back to me. PLEASE!" or "come on bro, i know you're just playing. WAKE UP!" "no, no, no, no, this can't be happening..." or maybe even "im sorry...don't go...i love you so much..." i mean, that could have made a lot of us cry a waterfall tbh-also i have a tiny bit of dialogue i imagined a long time ago and improvised for this scene:

Spruce: "So...I guess this is our punishment."

JD: "For what...?"

Spruce: "For being the worst brothers Floyd could have...😞"
