you don’t understand I’m genuinely dreading contacting this mom bc she scares me and from the start I was like this is someone whose bad side I want to avoid bc of shit she said regarding like autism and her kid and stuff. So I’ve always come from this approach of positivity, meeting the family where they’re at, and especially meeting the kid where he’s at developmentally. Well I guess she’s pissed bc I haven’t been telling her “how behind” her kid is. Like my job isn’t to constantly be like “he’s so behind we need to do xyz” bc there’s not point in doing my xyz if he’s not there yet. So I’ve been telling her we’re doing (thing) right now so we can work on him doing (thing) more consistently before we move on to (other thing).

#I’m so scared #my mentor called me and we talked for 20 minutes bc she was going over how the mom went off on her during the kids assessment today #and she’s like I did defend you but you need to be more straight up with mom and you need to contact her to see if she still wants to #schedule with you or if she doesn’t want to anymore.#shitting bricks crying on my lunch #I have four more families I need to see #I’m so tired and I’m so shakey #I literally just wanted to survive until the 27th bc I’ll have four days off of work #I’m like so unwell right now
