then there is junho who just wants to be by her side and wants her to know she’s worth admiring and following and that she’s someone to look up to and who deserves efforts and care, who just wants to spend more time with her and for her life to be happier and less burdensome, who always always listen and who has been trying to come up with alternatives for her since episode 1 (to get through a revolving door, to see a whale almost to scale without seeing a captive whale in an aquarium, to find time to talk about whales at work...) and he’s the one really asking her why she wants to quit her job and immediately reassuring her with the words that she needs (and he never falls into the cliché “despite your autism you’re great” because her autism is clearly not a weak link to himn he sees her as a whole person as he understands that she differs from him in certain ways) - and so they have their big romantic moment as the sun is setting and they look into each other eyes (which is a big deal because we know youngwoo doesn’t look into people’s eyes) and then junho gifts her this picture of a whale in the meeting room. aside from being her romantic interest, i love that he is absolutely not in a mentor position like her boss is, he has his own “role” which is that through his words and his action he makes her time at work and the very space of the office more enjoyable and more easily manageable for her.
