“i promise there’s nothing to be worried about my love, they’re going to love you just as much as i do,” jude spares you a quick glance and notices the small pout that graces your face. he hums, before backtracking, “okay maybe not as much as i love you but pretty close.”

you roll your eyes at his attempt of comforting you and ring your fingers together, “you don’t know that. what if they hate me? or think you could do better?”

your boyfriend scoffs at your words, “okay first of all, they would never say anything like that, and if they did you know i would defend you right? i mean, the boys mean a lot to me but baby, you mean just as much to me…if not more. i won’t let them disrespect you or our relationship.”

you turn to look at jude and softly smile at the way he’s quick to defend you.

“i know you wouldn’t but… i don’t know, i just really want them to like me jude.” you sigh.

jude scoffs, “i always am.”

you roll your eyes at his comment but say nothing more, deciding to pick peace this time and enjoy the rest of the car ride before you arrive at your destination.

jude and you started off as childhood friends, the two of you met in primary school and became attached at the hip. it was mind blowing to your parents just how fast the two of you bonded but they didn’t stand in the way. they would often host playdates at your home for the two of you to spend time together and then jude’s parents had jobe and he became a part of your little duo making you the dynamic trio often pulling pranks on both your parents.

everyone thought the three of you would grow apart at some point (your parents betting it would be once you started high school) but to everyone's amusement and surprise you actually became even closer once jude and you started your freshman year together and didn’t forget to rope jobe into your elaborate pranks or hangouts. things did become a little rocky though when it was time to go off to college, jude signed a deal with bvb and was off to germany to play for them while you stayed in england to attend birmingham university, often visiting jobe at your old high school.

after jude’s first season he came back home and the three of you picked up where you left off almost like nothing ever changed. however unbeknownst to you, something had changed. while jude was in germany he had experienced his first relationship but it didn’t feel right.

it wasn’t her, she was an amazing person but she just wasn’t the one for jude, they didn't have the same chemistry the two of you had. she didn’t know what jude’s favorite pastime was, what he liked to eat when sick, hell she didn’t even have a relationship with his parents or jobe. at some point jude saw himself comparing her to you and he eventually realized it was you who he really wanted to be with and ended his relationship.

it wasn’t until a saturday night hang out with jude and some of your new friends from uni, high on life and drunk on cheap convenience store beer did jude pull you away to confess his growing feelings. you didn’t take him seriously at first, you thought it was another one of his drunk rambles but the longer he went on, expressing how he truly felt about you, you sobered up a bit.

it had caught you way off guard, there was no doubt that your best friend was insanely handsome but you never slowed down to really think of jude as anything more than a best friend but in that moment as he went on a tangent about how he can’t see himself being with anybody else it got you thinking about why you hadn’t been in a relationship.

by no means were you ugly, you’ve had your fair share of instagram dm’s and pointless flings here and there but nothing serious. was it because deep down you wished they were jude? or was it because none of them could ever make you feel as happy and seen like jude did? perhaps it was simply because you knew who you wanted all along but you were too scared to make the first move?

jude could tell you were in deep thought, he could always read you like a book. he takes this opportunity to pull you in for a meaningful kiss. at first you freeze, he isn’t your first kiss but this was uncharted territory and you didn’t want to mess it up. slowly, you become more comfortable and allow yourself to get lost in the feeling of kissing jude.

loosely, his hand moves to grip your neck, as you lift your chin higher - so you can press your lips harder into his - while your hands fist into his shirt. his free hand drops to wind around your waist, and in one swift movement, he pulls your body flush against his. gasping at the motion, jude uses the opportunity to slip his tongue between your teeth, your lips parting further in response. lazily, his soft appendage swipes across yours, curling around your tongue and gently massaging it. for it being the first kiss the two of you shared together, it was one hell of a kiss.

“we’re here, my love.” jude says, pulling you out of your reminiscing. you turn to look at him and he offers you one last reassuring smile and a squeeze to your hand before letting go so you can both exit the car.

jude, for his part, doesn’t seem nervous at all, smiling at you when you step out and letting out a low whistle.

“looking stunning like always,” he jokes as you take his hand at the doorway to henderson's home.

you smile but you’re screaming internally. what if they all hate you? what if they think you’re not good enough? what if-

all your worries are swept away by the chaos you’re met with once the door swings wide open. each member is standing in the doorway smiling brightly at the pair of you. you smile at the sight, finding it a bit humorous how they’re shoving each other to get a good look at you and your boyfriend.

they waste no time with introductions, all of them talkative and bright eyed, offering you drinks and cracking jokes at jude’s expense. “at least invite us in before making fun of me.” jude huffs.

the boys laugh at his words but step aside to allow you to enter, you all make your way to the kitchen where there's a spread of snacks and drinks. once you’ve all got something on your plate and have settled in, you start with introductions.

“hello,” you nervously smile, looking around at the group, feeling jude’s presence stick right by your side. “it’s lovely to finally meet you all, i’ve heard so much about all of you guys from jude.”

“i’m willing to bet we’ve heard more about you,” jack quickly responds, “honestly, we’ve never heard jude talk about anything as much as he talks about you, he’s definitely smitten.”

you turn to look at jude, instantly feeling relaxed as he sheepishly smiles back at you. “alright, alright that’s enough of embarrassing me.”

“why pass up on this amazing opportunity?” trent replies, matching jack’s wide smile, “we’ve waited for this opportunity for too long.”

“oh, so you guys love to tease him too?” you giggle, glancing at jude once again. “it’s my favorite pastime.” you admit, finally becoming comfortable.

the boys let out loud laughs and launch into a new conversation, making sure you’re able to contribute to the conversation. you look around the room at the boys jude considers his second family and your heart swells. you were going to fit in just fine.

On Hummels being dropped: Mats hasn’t played as much recently as before. We now have a different system and one less centre-back. There are currently other players there. I don't see Mats as the ideal choice. It’s not always just about finding the best players, but perhaps simply the most suitable ones.

On who will start in goal in the next two games: We will have a conversation with both of them [Neuer and ter Stegen] - and then decide.

On dropping Goretzka: The decision was not between Pavlović and Leon. Leon's last few games have been much better, that's right. It's about finding the right players for the roles, I see other players ahead at the moment. We had others in mind. Through very good performance and an understanding of the role, the door is not closed. It wasn’t a pleasant conversation [with Goretzka], as you can imagine, but you have to make decisions.

On Pavlović: He has shown very strong performances recently. He was one of the best players at Bayern. Of course this was not a political decision. We didn't have to convince him. That was the consequence of the performance principle. We'll see whether it'll be enough for the Euros. He talks in the dressing room and doesn’t hide despite his young age.

On his future: I currently have a contract with the DFB until after the European Championships. I don't have any other contract available. My full focus is on the European Championships and the national team.

But, Nagelsmann is definitely thinking about his future: I would advise that to anyone whose contract is about to expire.

On Thomas Müller: He’s been playing a lot recently. He knows what his role is, he knows what importance he can have in each role. Thomas could also settle for a spot off the bench. He already knows the role at FC Bayern. Thomas is a player who also has a role off the pitch. He is an intelligent player who doesn’t focus on himself but on the team.

On Kroos' comeback: He is very important, but also not the sole savior. He knows what he can do. On the other hand, he also knows what he can't do. He has a very good instinct, a good calmness. He can be a brilliant link between defense and attack. There is always this expression in Germany “Querpass-Toni” [sideways pass Toni] - Anyone who says that knows nothing about football. I'm extremely happy that after many conversations I persuaded him to come back. I give him credit for that.

On 4 Stuttgart players called up: That’s also momentum. This year they are doing very, very well. I could have called two or three more from VfB. Waldemar Anton is a very good defender, also with an offensive urge. He won't demand to play every game from the start, but he'll still give it his all. Maxi Mittelstädt is currently the most stable left-back in the Bundesliga. Statistically speaking, he is by far the best left-back in the Bundesliga. Chris Führich is an extremely valuable player, with 1v1 and good finishing, that can be key if we need a goal. Deniz Undav has a great ability to read spaces. He runs a lot, is hard-working and has a good nose for goal.

On Jan-Niklas Beste: He can play an offensive role but also at the back and can play left-back without any problems. Plus he is an exceptional set piece taker. He deserved the nomination with the goal involvments he has.

Nagelsmann says Rüdiger and Tah will be the starting CB duo: Toni and Jona are initially the starters in central defense. They can confirm this through good performances.

On BVB players (except Füllkrug) being dropped: The assessment is not always about talent. I spoke to Edin (Terzic) and Sebastian Kehl on the phone, I can imagine that neither of them are happy. I think other players have better momentum. Everyone knows what it will take to get back in. From the discussions we had, they know what is missing so that they can be called up for the Euros. The player decides at the end. I’m just the executive body. Julian Brandt was a tough decision, Führich probably has the better momentum at the moment.

53. The catchiest song i know - right know i must say Mony Mony by Billy Idol cause it’s playing in my head all the time last few days haha! Also Off My Face by Måneskin is pretty catchy too

70. The best cover of another song - Ooof that’s so hard! I love many many great covers. I can’t choose just one and only so i’ll give you a few. I love Temple of Love cover by BVB and Ville Valo, the original is by a band called Sisters of Mercy. I don’t really like the original but the cover is so good!

Another great cover i very much appreciate is Sad But True by my fave rock duo Royal Blood, original is from Metallica. Fun fact: It’s all played on a bass! They don’t use an electric guitar on their songs, only bass with few pedals. They have more great covers which can be found on YouTube (their Lana Del Rey’s West Coast cover is a masterpiece, but it does not have a studio version)

Holding Out for a Hero covered by Adam Lambert is something i enjoy very much. The same goes for Anarchy in the UK covered by Mötley Crüe. Italian rock band Måneskin have a few covers as well, they are very good too.

Recently i found on YouTube this coverband called Daredevils and they do amazing covers, their rock version of Blinding Light by The Weeknd is probably my favourite

i think they’re a little desperate for a superstar too, especially after losing out on messi. it’s strange though because while i understand neymar is like, one of the biggest superstars this sport has seen the club gets a lot of marketing from pedri and gavi. like, a lot. which im sure will only increase as well. there’s been reports that laporta wants neymar for the marketing and it’s just ?? okay but what about everything else

Yeah, I agree. if he comes, he will sell a crazy amount of shirts and will bring his sponsors and stuff with him and while pedri and gavi do get us a lot of marketing (they're quite literally carrying us on their backs singlehandedly) but they're still rising stars and not quite at neymar's level of stardom yet. it also doesn't help that our social media is literally useless and does not profit from their marketability. when bvb had haaland and jude and they realised how popular they are as a duo, the media team made sure to put them together in some little games and people ate that shit up. now barça has one of the most famous duos in football with an insane amount of fans desperate for any content of them together and its radio silence. like if you're so desperate for better marketing, make use of what you've got first before looking elsewhere idk. we might actually have the worst social media team in the world

Verloop

De zeven lessen bouwden steeds op elkaar verder, waarbij binnen elke les ook een duidelijke opbouw zat. Dit zorgde ervoor dat de complexiteit stelselmatig steeg. Daarnaast werd je bij het begin van elke sessie mentaal en fysiek ontladen zodat je aandacht helemaal bij de sessie kon komen.

De zeven lessen behelsden volgende onderwerpen:

Verschillende ruimtes verbeelden

In conflict gaan met een voorwerp

Ruimte maken voor stilte en non-verbaal spel

Een personage vormgeven vanuit fysieke transformatie

Een scène spelen over afscheid en loslaten met intentie en weerstand

Het lichaam op onverwachte manieren verhouden tov elkaar en de ruimte: routine die onderbroken wordt

Aangeleerde vaardigheden inzetten bij het spelen van een dialoog Focus: incasseren en reageren

Een les werd typisch opbouwd als volgt: opwarmer - vaardigheid verkennen - scéne.

Les 1: Verschillende ruimtes verbeelden

Opwarmer: rondlopen door de ruimte op muziek, afwisselen in tempo/beweging, ondergrond, zware benen, omgeving. Dagelijkse bewegingen uitbeelden.

Whoosh: in een cirkel staan en de 'whoosh' doorgeven, je kan de routine doorbreken door een 'hoooow', 'zap' of 'groovalicious'.

Vaardigheid verkennen: Dagelijkse bewegingen uitbeelden die worden bemoeilijkt. In duo een omgeving uitdenken waar je beiden doorheen loopt (op basis van foto's).

Scène: In groepjes van 3: een scène spelen in een wereld gebaseerd op de beelden van Tim Burtonsets, waarin we een (voor die wereld) dagelijkse handeling moeten volbrengen; het wordt ons echter moeilijk gemaakt door de externe omstandigheden van de ruimte (bv. Verkeer, gevaar, hitte…)

Les 2: In conflict gaan met een voorwerp

Opwarmer: Doen alsof er een vlieg in een lichaamsdeel zit, waardoor dit lichaamsdeel alle kanten opgaat.

In een cirkel een object doorgeven dat erg zwaar/licht/luid/... is.

Vaardigheid verkennen

Opbouw in 5 stappen van oncontroleerbaargheid: bijna niet waarneembaar - moet onderdrukken - duidelijk zichtbaar - oncontroleerbaar - dood/vluchten/overwinning

Een voorwerp kiezen en hierop een beweging toepassen.

Scène: Per vier; belangrijke ontmoeting voor het werk; enige tekst is: “Dus, wat ik wou bespreken…” en “Ik denk dat het gewoon beter is dat we…” elk ondertussen in conflict met een voorwerp dat evolueert van bijna niet merkbaar naar oncontroleerbaar groot.

Les 3: Ruimte maken voor stilte en non-verbaal spel

Opwarmer: Rondlopen door de ruimte op muziek, afwisselen in gehaast - traag, bang - arrogant. Anderen waarnemen en hierop inspelen (bvb weglopen/blijven staan/volgen). Interactie toevoegen, bvb: een vraag stellen en afwijzen of hierop uitgelaten reageren.

Vaardigheid verkennen:

Beweeg je op een bepaalde manier: heel precies, te zelfzeker, bang, flamboyant.

Afwisselend naar micro gaan in bepaald karakter en één zin zeggen.

Gebruik van stilte en herhaling in de spanningsopbouw.

Scène: in duo’s ; begint met stilstaand beeld geïnspireerd op de foto’s van Jeff Wall. Dagelijkse conversatie met veel stilte.

Les 4: Een personage vormgeven vanuit fysieke transformatie

Opwarmer:

In een cirkel staan en een dansje doen en de anderen doen na.

Rondlopen door de ruimte op muziek, een lichaamsdeel wordt erg zwaar/licht. Beweeg je op een bepaalde manier (heel precies, te zelfzeker, bang, flamboyant)

Anderen waarnemen en hierop inspelen (bvb weglopen/blijven staan/volgen). contact maken met anderen: bvb een vraag stellen - afwijzen / hierop uitgelaten reageren.

Vaardigheid verkennen: De ander in een positie plaatsen, zo rondlopen, vervolgens kledij toevoegen en een naam geven. Zo wordt een karakter gemaakt (zullen we hergebruiken in volgende les)

Bewegingen minder uitgesproken maken: van 10 naar 1. Dan spelen met 1.

Scène: café met micro in het midden: eenzame personages op verschillende plaatsen in het café. Elk om beurt komt iemand naar de micro om diepste verlangen te delen.

(zwaar/licht, veel ruimte/weinig ruimte)

Les 5: Een scène spelen over afscheid en loslaten met intentie en weerstand

Opwarmer:

Whoosh (zie les 1)

Rondlopen, iemand kiezen om te volgen, zo ver mogelijk van deze persoon; 2 mensen kiezen en ertussen blijven, gelijkzijdige driehoek vormen.

Vaardigheid verkennen:

Personage van vorige week hernemen. In rij tegenover elkaar staan: proberen andere te overtuigen dichter te komen met gebruik van 2 woorden: "kom hier". Dichterbij komen als het werkt.

Foto uitkiezen om een scène na te spelen per twee (tegenstrijdige verlangens).

Scène: duo-scène met personages van vorige week. Laatste 2 gasten in het café. De ene probeert de andere te overtuigen om te blijven. De ander wil dat niet (omwille van een reden die bij zijn/haar personage past) à verschillende soorten weerstand en strategieën om te overtuigen

Les 6: Het lichaam op onverwachte manieren verhouden tov elkaar en de ruimte: routine die onderbroken wordt

Opwarmer: In cirkel zwaard gooien en roepen naar medespeler.

Plaats in de ruimte kiezen en routinematige bewegingen uitbeelden (met en zonder voorwerp)

Vaardigheid verkennen

Routinematige beweging kiezen en uitbeelden, in duo interactie toevoegen

Per twee routine en verstoring uitbeelden (herhaling --> spanningsopbouw)

Scène: in groepjes van 3 een zelfgemaakte compositie in één van de ruimtes (kantoorruimtes, koffiehoek, vergaderzaal…) maken. We kiezen een specifieke plaats in de ruimte en ten opzichte van elkaar. Vanuit die compositie starten we met de routine van onze werkdag, als een geoliede machine.

Les 7: Aangeleerde vaardigheden inzetten bij het spelen van een dialoog Focus: incasseren en reageren

Opwarmer:

In een cirkel staan en een dansje doen en de anderen doen na.

Rondlopen; verschillende gemoedstoestanden (geïrriteerd/blij; boos/tevreden), interactie toevoegen ahv tegengestelde verlangens/gevoelens

Vaardigheid verkennen:

In duo: zonder tekst conflict uitbeelden; herhaling oncontroleerbaar lichaamsdeel in beweging toevoegen

Scène: Ingestudeerde dialoog over een appel. Conflicten die lijken over het ene te gaan, maar eigenlijk over iets anders gaan.

Reflectie:

De opbouw van de sessies vond ik erg goed. Na een werkdag was mijn hoofd vaak nog ergens anders, en was ik fysiek best moe. Vooral de opwarmers waarbij rondgelopen kan worden werken goed om mijn lichaam en geest te calibreren. Door de bewegingsvrijheid in de ruimte kan ik innerlijk tot rust komen, wat een goeie invloed heeft op mijn creativiteit.

Bij de opwarmers in een cirkel voelde ik wel eens wat weerstand. Vooral het opvoeren van dansjes, waarbij de anderen je dan nabootsen waren een opgave voor mij. Het gevoel dat iedereen je op dat moment beoordeeld kwam dan op. Wanneer ik een rol moet spelen heb ik daar minder last van. Bij dansen, of experimentele bewegingen uitvoeren met je lichaam ga ik me eerder bekeken en beoordeeld voelen. Ik denk dat dit komt omdat ik daar toch minder zelfvertrouwen in heb. Elk een danspasje opvoeren, dat de anderen dan nadoen ligt niet meteen in mijn comfortzone. Ik begrijp wel dat je op die manier alle mogelijkheden van je lichaam kan verkennen, en wat er binnenin je omgaat kunt laten vertalen door je lichaam. Toch betrap ik er me op dat ik mezelf dan ga vergelijken met anderen, en denken: "doe ik het wel goed?"

Ook wanneer willekeurige bewegingen gemaakt moesten worden, voelde ik me wat onwennig. Daarbij denk ik toch snel: "wat zullen ze van me denken?" Op sommige momenten dacht ik ook: "Wat staan we hier toch te doen?". Dit gebeurde bvb als we moesten doen alsof we een vlieg in een lichaamsdeel hadden zitten. Vooral als dit te lang duurde of als de bewegingen absurd werden merkte ik wat weerstand bij mezelf. Ik kwam dan als het ware los van de oefening, en zag wat we aan het doen waren. Ik kreeg dan het gevoel dat we een bende gekken waren.

Wat me verder bijblijft is het gebruik van stiltes. We hebben vier sessies lang zo goed als geen woorden gebruikt. Spanning opbouwen door twee tegengestelden lang genoeg met elkaar in contact te laten komen was iets wat erg intens kon aanvoelen. Ik vond het heel boeiend om te ervaren hoe interactie erg intens en diepgaand kan zijn, zonder één woord uit te wisselen. Ik zat dan echt in die emotie, waardoor het spelen minder als spelen aanvoelde, maar eerder als het doorleven van die emotie. Het "afscheid van een geliefde", sprong er voor mij uit op dat vlak. Ik was niet echt boos, maar ik voelde wel alles wat ik voel als ik echt boos ben. Na de scène voelde ik ook echt een ontlading. Dit is toch een kant van me die ik wat ontdekt heb. Ik kan zonder woorden sterk een emotie uitdrukken.

Wat me verder opviel is dat het gebruik van voorwerpen het soms makkelijker maakt om een beweging te bedenken. Ik vraag me af of dat komt doordat je het aantal mogelijkheden beperkt? Zo kan je een portefeuille openritsen, binnenstebuiten draaien, op je hoofd zetten, maar de mogelijkheden lijken eindig. Terwijl bij de opgave: maak een beweging met je lichaam, lijken er zoveel opties te zijn dat het voor mij moeilijker is daaraan te beginnen. Dat je met een strijkijzer kan touwtjespringen heb ik ook alvast geleerd.

Daarnaast vind ik het spelen in interactie erg leuk. Het is makkelijker om een spanning op te bouwen, en ik vind het prettig om in te spelen op kleine veranderingen in houding/expressie. Het voelt wat als spelen met elkaar op emotioneel vlak. Als ik het zo bekijk lijk ik wat reactief creatief te zijn, creactief als het ware. Mijn creativiteit komt makkelijker naar boven in interactie met anderen. Dit is in mijn dagelijkse leven ook zo. Ik spar graag met mensen om vooruit te geraken in uitdagende situaties.

De transfer naar de Psychosociale praktijk zie ik in verschillende lagen: De opwarmoefeningen zijn bruikbaar wanneer je met een groep aan de slag gaat. Het is een laagdrempelige manier om je aandacht bij jezelf, de ruimte, en elkaar te krijgen. Tegelijk krijg je door de bewegingen een leuke energie bij jezelf en in de groep.

Het werken aan comfortzone kan ahv verschillende oefeningen. Wanneer je je verbeeld dat er een vlieg in een lichaamsdeel zit ga je vreemde bewegingen maken, terwijl je met de aandacht bij die vlieg zit, denk je niet: "wat vinden de anderen van mij?"

Om contact te leggen met iemand, zonder woorden te moeten gebruiken zijn de scènes in duo erg waardevol. Daarbij is het gebruik van foto's, om een kader te scheppen, nuttig.

Uit een eerdere workshop van Wisper (Improtheater) neem ik nog mee: 4 minuten in elkaars ogen kijken om contact te maken, in groep in een bepaalde volgorde klappen om oogcontact in te oefenen, geblindoekt dansen op muziek om vervolgens de blinddoeken weg te nemen en te blijven dansen.

Al bij al vond ik het een leuke ervaring, waarbij ik een talent in stille interactie en een paar interessante oefeningen uit meeneem, om zonder woorden aan de oppervlakte te krijgen wat er binnenin leeft.

Words cannot describe how happy I am that Jude signed for RM and NOT Psg 😮‍💨 as much as I would love to witness a Jude x Kylian duo someday PSG is not the club for Jude. PSG is a terrible club and as young as he is Jude shouldn't spend his early best years at PSG

Was there ever a chance for Jude to join PSG? Maybe a vague rumor but never serious right? Or did I miss something?

But Jude is smart. Nothing to gain if you move from BVB to PSG imho. Maybe more pressure but other than that no. He chose well with RMA; tho barca would have been better haha 😜
