[ad_1] After a long day of staring at a screen, your eyes can feel tired. Luckily, Windows offers several tools for those who have trouble seeing, either because of simple fatigue or a disability. Taking advantage of these features can ease eye strain, making you feel fresher and more productive. Accessibility is a major strength of the Windows operating system. Both Windows 10 and 11 offer numerous ways to make working easier on the eyes. Keep in mind that all eyes are different! Some forms of assistance might be useful while others might not be. All of our tips are free, though we’re going to offer one hardware-based suggestion that you will need to pay for. Are you on the hunt for a new monitor? If so, you should check out our roundup of the best monitors available today. Buy a better monitor More and more, laptop makers and display manufacturers are offering high-refresh-rate displays that push above the default refresh rate of 60Hz. These are primarily offered for gamers and smoother inking for professional artists, but your eyes can thank you, too. When a screen refreshes, your eyes have to compensate. But at a higher refresh rate these constant updates blur together, easing the strain on your eyes. Just don’t push it too far: even Samsung, a display manufacturer, thinks 75Hz is enough. Keep an eye out for displays that advertise themselves as flicker-free, too. I’d prefer to use LED bulbs at our house, but my wife complains that even flicker-free LED bulbs can trigger her migraines. Some displays use a technology called pulse-width modulation to manage the amount of light generated by the brightness controls. You might not be able to consciously sense the flickering, but your eyes might. (Open these images in a new tab to help preserve your tired eyes.) It’s not the best photo but conventional laptops can put out quite a lot of blue light, as evidenced by this imaging device. The conventional laptop puts out much more blue light than the Samsung Galaxy Book3, which hardly puts out any at all.Mark Hachman / IDG I prefer big, bright displays that offer HDR capabilities for gaming, but that’s not for everyone. Display luminosity (how much light a display puts out) is generally measured in nits. We consider about 250 nits or so to be suitable for everyday use; some laptops put out much more than that so that they can be used outside. You can avoid flickering issues by buying a 250-300 nit display and running it at maximum brightness. Turn on the blue light filter Some displays, like the Dynamic AMOLED 2X found inside the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360, promise to cut blue light just through normal operation. Regardless, turning on the blue light filter in Windows 10 or enabling the blue-light filter in Windows 11 is a smart, easy way to avoid eye strain and ensure a more restful sleep. Blocking blue light gives your display a yellowish cast, but it’s worth it. It’s also a lot simpler than buying a screen film or special glasses. Simply flip the switch to enable the blue-light filter within Windows.IDG / Alex Huebner In Windows 11, navigate to System > Display within the Settings menu and turn on “night light.” Note that you should be able to schedule Night Light and adjust its strength, too. (Don’t) adjust the resolution In general, higher screen resolution usually translates into more detail, so that images, text, and so on are sharp and well defined. You might say, well, adjusting a 4K display to 1920×1080 increases the size of the icons—that’s good, right? Not really—this is one adjustment we usually recommend you don’t make. Sometimes adjusting the screen resolution too high can lower the refresh rate. Screen resolution is adjusted on a display-by-display basis. To play around with the settings, go to the Windows Settings menu (System > Display) and click on one of the displays in the diagram. Scroll down to Display resolution and make any tweaks you want to. Just be aware that any changes you make will automatically revert back unless you manually approve them.
Adjust the size and scale of icons, text, and more in Windows That’s why adjusting the resolution to change the size of your Windows icons is a bad idea. Windows already offers two different ways to adjust the size of what you’ll see on your display and both are worth knowing about and experimenting with. Text scaling (left) versus display scaling (right) in Windows 11. Note the differences in the text, icons, and other navigation elements. In the Windows 11 Settings menu (System > Display) Windows offers the option of adjusting the scale of text, apps, and other items. This setting adjusts the scale of the various elements on your screen on a display-by-display basis—you’ll need to tweak it for a laptop display as well as any external monitors. As the name suggests, this tweaks the size of everything on your screen such as text, scrollbars, various UI interfaces, the works. We’d agree with Windows that you should choose from the drop-down options instead of playing with custom scaling preferences. A similar setting in Windows 11 (Accessibility > Text size) offers the option of adjusting the text size up and down. Doing so enlarges or shrinks the text, but leaves the size of icons and navigation elements unchanged. This isn’t a bad idea for users who can recognize the icon of, say, Microsoft Edge without difficulty but struggle to read the text on a page. Just be aware that you’ll see a blue screen (not a BSOD) for a few seconds while Windows re-configures itself. Use Windows’ built-in Magnifier to enlarge a portion of the screen If you’re feeling the occasional need to squint at an isolated graphic or number, you’re a good candidate to try out Windows’s Magnifier function. This function is off by default, but can be configured to turn on either before or after sign-in via the Win and + shortcut on the Windows Settings menu (Accessibility > Magnifier). Combining the Windows and plus keys turns on Magnifier, which can be configured as a vertical rectangle, a full-screen enlargement, or a “docked” box that zooms in on a line or two. You can turn off Magnifier with the Win and the Esc key shortcut and zoom in and out with Win and the – key. Windows 11’s Magnifier is fairly simple to use.Mark Hachman / IDG Magnifier is one of the ways to better view some of the tiny details in the Start menu and there are options to invert the colors of the magnified text to make them easier to read. For those who are still having difficulty reading, Microsoft includes Narrator and Read Aloud, which are designed for the visually impaired. There’s also a Reading shortcut (Ctrl+ Alt by default), but it doesn’t seem to work on my machine. Enlarge your mouse cursor and text cursor You can configure your mouse cursor in a variety of ways within Windows. You may see the cursor replaced with a bullseye in certain situations, if Microsoft think you need additional precision. If you’re having trouble tracking your mouse cursor on the screen, you can make it larger and in a different color via the Settings menu (Accessibility > Mouse pointer and touch). Sometimes I will configure the mouse to shift back and forth between light and dark depending upon the background—yes, you can do that! You can also ask Windows to turn on a “text cursor indicator preview,” which adds a spot of color at the top and the bottom of any line you’re typing. This is surprisingly handy for just about anyone. The Windows 11 text cursor indicator preview.Mark Hachman / IDG Adjust Windows’ color schemes to account for protanopia and more Various forms of what some call “color blindness” (trouble seeing red or green, for example, is referred to as protanopia or deuteranopia) can be accounted for within Windows. Go to the Windows 11 Settings menu (Accessibility > Color filters) and toggle the “color filters” to the on position. You’ll then select what color filter works for you. (Toggle them on and off with Win + Ctrl + C). Windows will then adjust the relative strength and shades of the Windows UI to make it easier for you to see.
Turn on dark mode in Windows Finally, there’s the old standby. It’s late, it’s dark, and you don’t want your display blasting out any more light than you have to. That’s where dark mode comes in. Within the Settings menu (Personalization > Colors), you’ll have the choice of selecting the default Windows mode (light/dark), which can affect UI elements like your taskbar. Choosing your default app mode (light/dark) turns the background of certain Windows apps like Mail and Calendar dark, too. Remember, Windows 11 now allows you to configure light or dark mode for Windows as well as certain apps. (You can access the additional controls by selecting “Custom”.Mark Hachman / IDG That won’t always affect apps like Microsoft Edge, which has its own settings. (In the upper right-hand corner, click the vertical three dots, scroll down to Settings. On the next page, scroll down to Appearance). Here, you can specify whether Edge has its own settings or conforms to the Windows settings. You may find similar settings on other apps, too. The idea behind all of these settings is that you need to find a setup that works best for you. Would you prefer not wearing bifocals while working, but use a laptop screen and a desktop display? Configure the size and scale of the various elements accordingly. Having trouble distinguishing benchmark graphs because of their reliance on red and green? Color filters can help with that. If only a new prescription was as quick and easy, right? [ad_2] #tweak #Microsoft #Windows #ease #eye #strain

Secure Your Devices: Choosing the Right Screen Protector Wholesale Supplier
In a world dominated by technology, our devices have become indispensable tools that keep us connected, informed, and entertained. Whether it's a smartphone, tablet, or laptop, protecting the delicate screens of these devices is paramount. Screen protectors serve as the first line of defense against scratches, cracks, and damages, but not all screen protectors are created equal. When it comes to safeguarding your devices, choosing the right screen protector wholesale supplier is crucial for ensuring the utmost security and quality.
The Importance of Screen Protectors
Before delving into the process of selecting the right wholesale supplier, let's understand why screen protectors are vital. Our devices face daily hazards, such as accidental drops, abrasive surfaces, and sharp objects. A high-quality screen protector acts as a shield, absorbing the impact and preventing direct damage to the screen, thus extending the lifespan of your device.
Assessing Your Needs
Before choosing a Screen Protector Wholesale assess your needs and target audience. Determine the types of devices you need screen protectors for, such as smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, or laptops. Additionally, identify the specific features your customers value, like anti-glare, privacy protection, or blue light filtering.
Quality and Materials
When it comes to screen protectors, quality is non-negotiable. Look for a wholesale supplier that uses premium materials like tempered glass or high-quality polymer films. Tempered glass offers superior protection against scratches and impacts, while polymer films are thinner and more flexible, offering a seamless touch experience.
Compatibility and Customization
A reputable wholesale supplier should offer screen protectors designed specifically for various device models. The supplier should provide compatibility information to ensure you choose the Wholesale Screen Protectors for each device. Additionally, consider if the supplier offers customization options, such as custom sizes or branding, to meet your business needs.
Transparency in Testing and Certifications
A trustworthy wholesale supplier should be transparent about the testing procedures and certifications their products undergo. Look for Screen Protector Supplier that have passed industry-standard tests for hardness, scratch resistance, and impact resistance. Certifications from recognized organizations add credibility to the supplier's claims about product quality.
Competitive Pricing and Volume Discounts
While quality is essential, pricing also plays a significant role in the wholesale procurement process. Compare the pricing of different suppliers and check if they offer volume discounts. Striking the right balance between quality and cost will help optimize your profit margins.
Customer Support and After-Sales Service
Choose a wholesale supplier that provides excellent customer support and after-sales service. This includes quick response times, hassle-free returns or exchanges, and assistance with any issues that may arise. A reliable supplier should be committed to maintaining a long-term partnership with your business.
Packaging and Shipping
The condition in which the screen protectors arrive at your doorstep is crucial. Ensure that the wholesale supplier has a robust packaging system to prevent damages during shipping. Reliable suppliers use protective materials to keep the screen protectors safe and secure.
Reviews and Reputation
Before making your decision, research the wholesale supplier's reputation. Check online reviews and testimonials from other customers to gauge their satisfaction levels. A supplier with positive reviews is more likely to provide a seamless buying experience.
Environmental Sustainability
In today's environmentally conscious world, consider partnering with a wholesale supplier that prioritizes sustainability. Opt for suppliers that use eco-friendly materials, minimize waste, and have environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.
Conclusion
Selecting the right Wholesale Tempered Glass supplier is an essential step in securing your devices and ensuring customer satisfaction. Assess your needs, prioritize quality and materials, and seek out transparency and excellent customer service. By making an informed decision, you can build a strong partnership with a reliable wholesale supplier, allowing your business to thrive while providing the best protection for your customers' devices.

Sunglasses with polarized lenses can reduce glare, allowing for better visibility and reducing eye fatigue. - Comfort: Bright light, whether from the sun or digital screens, can be uncomfortable, causing squinting and headaches. Wearing sunglasses can reduce glare, enhance clarity, and provide a more comfortable visual experience. - Protection from Outdoor Elements: Besides UV rays, sunglasses can also protect your eyes from other harmful elements like wind, dust, and debris while engaging in outdoor activities.

Best iPhone Screen Guards or Protectors
Are you using your iPhone without a screen protector on? You must admit that is a significant risk! When accidents do happen, having a high-quality protective case on hand can prevent you from having to spend hundreds of dollars on repairs.
We've compiled a list of the top iPhone screen shields currently available. Many of the leading manufacturers of these scratch-resistant choices are available at Global cell phone and laptop repair Langley. So be sure to drop by and browse their selection!
Best iPhone Screen Protectors in 2023
The style, feel, and usefulness of today's options vary substantially. Discover which screen protector best suits your requirements!
Best Screen Protector for Tempered Glass.Typically, one of these three different materials is used to create screen protectors:
Terephthalic polyethylene (PET)
Thermally plastic urethane (TPU)
Flexible glass
If you have an older model phone, such as an iPhone X or iPhone 8, PET and TPU screen protector are less expensive options that might still function. You should spend a little extra money on a tempered glass screen cover for newer iPhone models, though. With many layers, improved light transmission, and damage protection, they are without a question our preferred material option.
Smudge and scratch resistance are both included in the ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass Premier protector, which is four times more durable than the majority of glass screen protectors.
Best Privacy Screen Protector
Visual hacking is a seriously underrated risk. 91% of graphical hacking attempts, according to one study, are successful! If you're concerned that con artists will steal private information from your iPhone, use a glass screen with more robust privacy protections. These choices come with an additional privacy screen that restricts the angles from which light can enter. It typically implies that if you are not looking directly at your device's screen, the screen will be obscured from your point of view and you won't be able to see it.
There are several great choices in the InvisibleShield Glass Premium Privacy lineup for the iPhone 13, smartphone 12, and other devices. We advise the Privacy with an antibacterial component or the Privacy 360, that features a four-way filter and operates in both portrait and landscape mode.
Best Anti-Glare Screen Protector
Many blue light protectors exist to prevent excessive glare, which can harm our eyesight. To avoid that uncomfortable or unpleasant feeling you get from staring at your phone screen for too long, another alternative is to get an anti-glare screen protector.
If you're concerned about protecting your eyes, think about the VisionGuard or ZAGG Glass+ Anti-Glare. Defend your eyes while simultaneously displaying!
Where can you find new iPhone screen protection?
On the ZAGG website, you can buy each of the aforementioned choices. Fortunately, they all include a simple installation kit, but if you are hesitant to do it yourself, you might prefer to go to Langley Global cell phone and Laptop repair.
In order to protect yourself when you need it most, Global Mobile Phone Repair and Laptop Repair will assist you in selecting the appropriate attachment for your device and making sure it is installed correctly.
We provide a large selection of screen shields for the iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, and other gadgets in our stores. Are Computer Protection Eyeglasses Helpful for Gamers?
Technological advancement is a great blessing for entertainment industries like gaming or online gaming. Today's generation takes online gaming more than entertainment and wishes to pursue a career in the field. This makes them spend more and more time on gaming platforms.
You can find most people involved in online streaming on their PCs or laptops. In fact, they have a proper studio to play as a professional and win online battlefields.
But do they have computer protection eyeglasses in their gaming setup? Why is it important to add these glasses to your kit while preparing for championship day? Read on to find out the answers.
What Can Disturb Your Gameplay?
As a gamer, you must have experienced blurry vision after playing a couple of rounds of GTA with your friends. This may involve the contribution of blue light.
Blue light puts extra force on your eyes to focus on small objects and letters on the screen. It is due to the screen's image lacking the sharp contrast between objects like that of the real world.
Eventually, it becomes difficult to focus on the objects, and your eyes operate more than their capability.
For example, you may find it difficult to spot the enemy hiding behind a shrub in the Call of Duty War zone. This obviously happens due to continuous exposure to blue light.
So, do we have any solution? Yes, we can count on computer-protection eyeglasses.
But first, let's discover more about blue light's effect on your eye health.
What Are the Effects of Continuous Blue Light Exposure?
There are many ill effects of continuous exposure to blue light, and some of them are:
It can disturb melatonin production and sleep patterns, leading to depression, migraines, and other serious issues.
It can lead to retinal damage, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
It can hamper the focusing ability of the eyes.
Studies have shown that these issues can further cause weakening or loss of eyesight.
How Can Computer Protection Eyeglasses Help?
Since computer protection eyeglasses are designed to mitigate blue light's effect on the eyes, they can help reduce eye strain during long-hour screen time. Its blue light filter blocks the contact of harmful rays with the eyes.
Wearing these glasses can help you play games online with stable vision.

A computer privacy screen is a polarized sheet placed on a screen to limit the viewing angle to approximately 30 degrees on either side. Basically, these micro louvers act like window blinds for your computer. It’s the same basic technology used on polarized eyeglasses to reduce glare and blue light directly in your eyes. A PxIn Screen Protector is made of 12 effective layers using the Micro Louvre Technology that ensures it is born to protect eyes and also secures your information from Visual hackers and prying eyes. The protectors also ensure a clear visibility and come in dual finish sides which are useful on both sides depending on the usage choice and convenience of the user. To Derek, it felt like falling.
He’d fallen so much over the years, he felt like he should be an expert by now. It was one thing after another; the blue-eyes, the blonde-haired hunter, the body in the woods. And now that was falling, wasn’t it? He’d heard the term ‘rock bottom’ before but had come to realize long ago that it couldn’t be a real thing. Because wouldn’t he have hit it by now?
Except, this was different. This felt so different.
Fucking Stiles Stilinski.
Derek didn’t know if there was more than one way to fall. If anything, he thought he might have felt it with Paige. Or Kate. That stupid thing Laura would tease him about when she’d bring up girls and he’d roll his eyes, trying to cover up his crush on the cello player, or the blonde-haired substitute teacher that had been so scary but so exciting.
And he was pretty sure that’s what falling should have felt like. Maybe. Probably. Right?
But then he’d lost his entire family, and wasn’t that what it actually was? Laura driving them through the entire night with white knuckles around the steering wheel, taking refuge in an old apartment in New York that smelled like decay. The one they ended up staying in for years, even though she’d promised they’d be gone by morning.
To Derek, that had felt like falling. It had all felt like falling.
But so did any interaction with Stiles Stilinski.
He thought he could ignore it at first. Except somewhere in between meeting the idiot in the middle of the woods and going on the run as an alleged murderer, Derek realized Stiles had gotten underneath his skin unlike anyone he’d ever met before. And it bothered him.
Stiles bothered him.
Then there was the instance of two hours in the pool followed by the word ‘abomination’, and Derek came to terms with the fact that it was because Stiles was familiar. Stiles was familiar like the fall; in a way that Derek had long since tried to forget.
Except the boy wasn’t that easy to shake. No matter how hard Derek tried, no matter where he turned, the idiot was always there .
In the beginning, he’d hoped buying his own loft would be different. But he had been wrong before.
“So,” Stiles said, wandering into the kitchen with an empty bowl of cereal in one hand and his phone in the other. “What’s the plan for the rogue omega, Sourwolf?”
Two seconds ago, Derek’s attention had been fully on his cup of coffee— which was exactly what he blamed for the fact that he hadn’t recognized Stiles’s scent earlier. Yeah, that was totally it. Now, though, he stared at the boy, trying to process how exactly Stiles had gotten into the loft without a key and Derek had just woken up twenty minutes ago, hadn’t he?
“Uh, Stiles said, lowering his phone and raising an eyebrow. “Sourwolf? Are you okay?”
“How the hell did you get in here?”
“Dude,” Stiles said, scoffing. “If you have to ask that, then I’m seriously worried about your status of being our Alpha.”
Derek blinked and Stiles dropped onto the stool opposite him, sticking his spoon in his mouth and grinning around it.
“So, Sourwolf. Rogue omega?”
“I didn’t tell Scott about that,” Derek said, still processing. Stiles rolled his eyes.
“Of course, you didn’t,” the boy said. “But I’m clearly the responsible one in our friendship, so I’ve been in contact with your betas. Plus, we all know Scotty goes running around the woods at night to meet up with Allison, and either of them getting turned into rogue werewolf chow would be unfortunate.”
Derek continued to stare. Catching his expression, Stiles blinked.
“Or, maybe you didn’t know that. But now you do! And it’s all thanks to the token human— you’re very welcome.”
Derek looked at him for another long moment. Then, picking up his coffee, he moved around the counter and started past the teenager, ignoring Stiles’s spluttering at his back. Because honestly? It was far too early to even be trying to comprehend Stiles’s presence in his loft. And now Derek had his betas to chew out.
Yeah, his week was already starting out just great.
See, the thing about Stiles Stilinski was that once he latched on, he didn’t let go. Originally, Derek had thought if he snapped and growled enough, Stiles would eventually get the message and back off. But that never ended up happening. From the kid he’d met in the woods the first night— all buzz cut and gangly limbs— to whatever the hell Stiles had become now, Derek couldn’t seem to shake him.
He was there. He was always there.
Months passed and Derek still wasn’t sure how Stiles managed to get into his loft. He decidedly didn’t like it.
“I just think the betas could do with some more freedom,” Stiles said one day, lounging on the couch with his laptop propped up on his knees. Derek glared at him from his own spot across the room, but the boy wasn’t even looking in his direction. “They aren’t children, you know. Or at least, Boyd isn’t.”
“I still don’t know what you’re doing here.”
Surprise entering his previously bored scent, Stiles finally glanced up. And then he looked around the room, as if realizing for the first time how quiet and dark it had gotten. Derek still wasn’t sure that was possible— the idiot had spent the entire day on his couch, after all, only getting up to raid his fridge a few hours ago.
“Oh damn,” Stiles said, whistling. “I thought Erica was going to be here to back me up in this argument.”
“You... what?”
“Erica,” Stiles said, glancing back over. “She thinks she and the others should have a later curfew and be allowed to scare the shit out of people with their beta forms whenever the situation calls for it.”
Derek still stared. Stiles grinned crookedly, readjusting himself on the couch.
“I didn’t think she’d get that last one, honestly, but I promised to be here for support. ‘Cause I’m a good friend, you know, dude?”
“Don’t call me dude.”
“Okay, Sourpuss,” Stiles said, rolling his eyes and turning his attention back to his computer screen. “Just tell her I came by, would you? If I’m gone by the time she gets back, at least.”
Derek still didn’t know what the teen was doing in his loft. But Stiles’s attention was fully locked on his screen by now and Derek knew there was no chance he was getting his attention again. Glaring at the boy for another long second, he stayed sitting until it felt stupid, growling and shoving himself up.
He didn’t think Stiles even noticed as he stalked into the next room. And for some reason, that bothered him too.
But see, Derek wasn’t sure what about Stiles Stilinski bothered him. Maybe it was the idiot’s annoying sarcasm or his never-ending jokes, or the way he only stopped talking when his mouth was otherwise occupied. Or maybe it was his stupid smile, his stupid face, or those stupid moles that Derek sometimes wanted to trace where they disappeared underneath his shirt.
No… wait, not that. Definitely not that.
Though it could still be a lot of things, Derek figured. The real fact was Stiles was stupid as a whole.
And the idiot bothered him.
Yeah, that’s what it was.
It took an unfortunate incident with a wendigo for Derek to realize that wasn’t really what it was.
The rest of the pack must have realized how pissed off he was, because they all filtered out of the loft the moment Derek growled that they could go. Everyone except for Stiles, of course, who lingered by the door with an uncertain look on his face.
Derek glared at him from where he sat on the edge of his bed, the gash across his back still taking its time stitching itself back together. Because he was tired, dammit. He was tired, he was in pain, and he really just wanted to be left alone.
But Stiles didn’t leave him alone. Instead, the boy moved further into the room.
“Uh, hey, dude—”
“Don’t, Stiles,” Derek growled. “I told you to go home.”
The boy paused and a defiant light flashed through his amber eyes. Derek knew he was doomed the moment Stiles set his jaw, striding into the kitchen and coming out a few moments later with a first aid kit and a damp cloth.
Derek rolled his eyes, shifting so his back was turned toward the boy. Which probably didn’t help his case much.
“Holy shit, Sourwolf,” Stiles breathed, freezing a few inches away. “That’s disgusting.”
“Thanks,” Derek snapped. “You can leave the kit and leave.”
Stiles’s scent soured with anger for a moment. But the emotion didn’t last long before the teen was settling on the bed behind him, cold fingertips touching Derek’s shoulder and making him jerk. In a second, Stiles was mumbling apologies, drawing his hand back.
“I said you can go,” Derek said again, trying to ignore the strange mourning at that loss of touch. He heard Stiles sigh.
“I swear to god, dude, you could make this a lot less difficult.”
“Don’t call me dude.”
“I could call you a lot worse,” Stiles muttered. Derek clenched his jaw, glaring at the opposite wall, and he jerked again when Stiles touched his shoulder once more, this time starting to pull away mangled t-shirt from blood crusted skin.
“Stiles,” Derek said, hating his voice for sounding strangled. He was torn between pulling away and staying stock-still, as if not moving would make sure Stiles didn’t stop. Still, the boy hesitated.
“Is this okay?”
Derek clenched his jaw, glaring harder at nothing. Stiles pulled away even more.
“Because I can call Boyd to help instead, or—”
“Don’t,” Derek said, cutting him off. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then opened them again. “Please don’t go.”
Stiles’s scent turned surprised. The boy didn’t move for a moment and Derek wondered for a moment if that was wrong. If everything he’d just said was wrong. He didn’t like to… ask people for things. He hadn’t for a long time.
But this was different. Wasn’t it?
This was Stiles.
“Yeah, big guy,” Stiles finally said, and Derek was pretty sure that rush he felt wasn’t relief. Or maybe it was. The boy settled behind him again, fingers tracing over Derek’s shoulder again, and he found his eyes closing once more. “Yeah,” Stiles said again. “I’m here.”
And he always was.
But that’s what bothered Derek so much, wasn’t it? Stiles Stilinski was always there. In his loft, in his whole damn life. It wasn’t like Derek looked for him when he called a pack meeting or found himself a little more at ease when Stiles’s scent greeted him in the morning, but… but…
This was different. This felt like falling.
“You could use a shower,” Stiles said, breaking the silence with that soft, teasing voice of his. The stupid way he always needed to break the silence with jokes— that Derek totally hated. “Once this is healed and all, dude. Like, I’d say the blood isn’t totally gross, but it really is. And I can’t really tell when there wound starts and finishes, but it’s no longer so disgusting anymore. If that helps.”
Derek rolled his eyes, unable to help himself. Glancing over his shoulder, he was met with dancing amber eyes and a stupid shit-eating grin on Stiles’s face.
“Other than that, though,” Stiles said. “You’re still looking good, Sourwolf. Worry not, your sexy werewolf looks are still intact.”
Derek raised an eyebrow. Stiles’s face turned bright red and his scent flushed with embarrassment.
“Coming from a completely disinterested perspective, of course.”
“Of course,” Derek said. Stiles ducked his head, picking up the damp cloth at his side and turning his attention to the gash across Derek’s back again.
“You don’t like the rest of the pack seeing you hurt, do you, dude?”
Derek tensed, then grunted. He heard Stiles sigh.
“They can help too, you know. It’s not a bad thing, Sourwolf. Asking for help every once in a while.”
“I don’t need their help,” Derek said. And once more, Stiles’s ministrations stopped for a moment. Derek internally winced, already hating himself for continuing to snap at everything the boy said. But Stiles still didn’t pull back, starting again with the washcloth after a few more seconds. Derek could practically hear the gears in his head turning.
“But you need mine.”
Derek didn’t answer that. Because he didn’t, did he? Stiles was just stubborn, that’s why he was still here. The words don’t go totally hadn’t come from Derek’s mouth— or maybe it was just the pain. It was the pain and the darkness and… and maybe Derek didn’t want to be alone right now. Maybe he didn’t want to be alone if Stiles was the one staying at his side.
“So,” Stiles said softly. “Not them. But what about us?”
The very question made Derek freeze.
Because the way he saw it, Derek could send Stiles away right now. One harsh word, or maybe even just a few more minutes of complete silence. Stiles was stubborn, yes, but Derek could be too. He could send Stiles fuming from the loft with as little as a few more grunts and growls.
He didn’t do any of those things. Instead, shifting away from Stiles’s touch, he turned around and met the boy’s gaze. Those amber eyes that seemed to glow brightly even in the darkness, a quiet expression of nervousness on Stiles’s face. As if the teen knew exactly what was going through Derek’s mind.
What about us?
And it had been so many years. From the moment Derek had come across two teenagers in the middle of the preserve and Stiles had given him that stupid open-mouthed look that made Derek’s blood boil right from the beginning for some reason. It had been so many years and one thing after another.
Stiles was here. Stiles was always here. In his lift, in his life. And it was strange. It was bothersome.
It wasn’t.
Because silently, in the darkness of the empty loft, Derek thought maybe this was it— this was the secret behind falling. The one where maybe taking that leap off the edge wasn’t so bad. Somehow, fucking Stiles Stilinski was his secret behind falling and Derek didn’t think he could send the boy away even if he wanted to.
He didn’t want to.
“Derek?”
Stiles’s scent was sharp with anxiety and concern now, his face pale in the dim light. Derek swallowed hard, a million responses on his tongue. What about us? Because that meant there was a them. There was an us.
To Derek, it felt like falling.
All responses died when he leaned forward and kissed the boy instead of saying another word.

“Kurono.” Overhaul snapped. “We’re done for the day. Take Eri-chan to her room and give the new toy to keep her busy.”
Finishing the last part of the job, Kurono pinned Eri’s bandages and carried her. Watching as Overhaul left the room, he felt the little girl trembling in his hold. The past few days, his boss had been a little harsher on the girl and it showed when he opened her up without being warned. Patting her head, the flinch did not help in the tense aura surrounding the base.
Once he locked her doors, he walked down the dimly lit hall and passed by Overhaul’s office. The faint sound of him typing away in his laptop made him stop in his tracks. It was rare for him to even look at his laptop. Something must be bothering him more than ever, for sure.
Knocking on the door, he was told to come in and entered silently.
“You’re on the laptop.” He commented and lazily flopped on the sofa. Taking his mask off, he rubbed his face and leaned on the back rest.
“I can see that.” Overhaul’s eyes remained glued to the screen. “Is there something you need?”
“D’you talk to her yet?” He yawned and stretched his limbs. Legs ready to bounce should his boss show any sign of rage.
“That doesn’t concern you.”
“Just askin’.” He shrugged his shoulders and fiddled with his fingers. “Eri-chan’s in her room now and the toy still didn’t lighten her mood. Not that it ever works.”
He merely hummed and continued typing.
“Mind if I ask what exactly happened?” Kurono sat up with perfect posture. His legs angled to the door, ready to make a run for it. The tension was too much. Even for the precepts. He could care less about the budding lovelife his boss had but the limit was drawing near. Hearing the laptop slam close, Kurono stood up and inched his way to the door.
“You have absolutely no business learning what happened behind those closed doors. But, if it pleases your curiosity, the woman mentioned her time with Ackerman.” Overhaul impatiently tapped his index finger on the desk. The other hand massaging his temple. “Satisfied?”
“What else did she say?”
“She said that her emotions aren’t there for the bastard and that she has her eyes set on someone else.”
For someone who played shogi skillfully, Kurono had to admit that his friend was as clueless as the word could imply. Using all of his strength not to twitch his eye at the ignorance being displayed, he let out a sigh and went back to the sofa.
“So why be pissed about it? Clearly she’s interested in you.”
“I am not pissed. I am merely agitated at the turn of events.” He stopped tapping his finger and stood up. Exiting himself out, he decided a long bath might cool his head.
“You do realize she only did that to rile you up. You’re losing to her game, Kai. I bet a shit ton of cash that she wanted to see if a reaction would suffice and looking at you now, she got exactly what she wished.” Kurono talked the fastest he’s ever attempted in his life. “I’ll also bet my money that you ignoring her only adds to her growing problems.”
“And what makes you say that, Kurono?” He was now facing the arrow-haired man. Fists clenched tightly.
“One of the men saw her entering Nighteye’s agency.”
“THAT Nighteye?” He cocked a brow and took a step closer to the sofa.
“Yes. Her car remained parked for quite some time. By the time she left, I was told she was speeding towards the precinct.”
Gathering his thoughts, Chisaki found himself seated across Kurono. His bird mask resting on the table between them. The surgical mask now on full display showing the shadows his face offered. Without realizing it, his brows were furrowed and teeth gritting.
“If it’s bothering you, why not just call her or send a message.” Kurono shrugged.
“If she has been spotted entering the agency, chances are she’s been part of the heroes schemes all this time.” He was nodding to himself. “And she had the audacity to act like she was part of nothing. Smart move for her but not careful enough.”
Squinting at the train of thought he had just heard, Kurono rested his elbows on his thighs.
“So, you think she’s teaming up with the heroes?”
“She is.” He leaned on the back rest.
“She told you?”
“Not outright.”
“What gave her away then?”
“The night I left, she mentioned how the heroes don’t have a clear map of the base and only an outline. That was either a slip or intentional. From the turn of events, it may have been accidental.” The memory of that night, having his body so close to yours made him fiddle with the hem of his gloves. The scene of having your flushed face so near to his made him smirk under the black mask. Glancing at the calendar, though there was no need, it had been three days since the both of you contacted each other.
“Do you think we’ve been bugged?” Kurono asked. His eyes darting from one corner of the room to the other.
“No.” Crossing his arm against his chest, he let out a long sigh. “Not yet, at least. But knowing them, it’s bound to happen and they will use (y/n) for that.”
“What do you intend on doing?”
“Buy me a new sim tomorrow, Kurono. It’s best if communication is cut. The Quirk erasing bullets are nearing its completion. Any upcoming hindrances would disrupt the plan.” Taking his phone out, he checked for any messages. Seeing as there were none, he turned it off and threw the sim card across the table. The small plastic landing inches away from the edge.
“You’re not going to overhaul it?” This was something he was not expecting.
“No. Burn it.”
“You’re…” He took the sim into his hand. “You’re really serious about this.”
"Those rats are on the move. The chances of her bugging our base is high. Knowing she's not the type to refuse, it is best to cancel out any communication." Picking up his mask, he let out a silent sigh and wore the said item. "No need to fret, Kurono. I've already prepared the necessary actions."
"Knowing you, there's no need to fret." He too took his mask and wore it as well. Fixing his hood, he stared at his friend. "What about the Fukuo Kai case?"
"That is in two months. The hype would have died down." Standing up, he fixed his coat and motioned Kurono to follow him out. "Besides. If (y/n) really has an interest in me, she would know the perils of harboring emotions. Let's go. I'm famished."
"Pardon?" Kurono stopped walking and stared at the back of his boss.
"Even the strongest villains need nourishment."
"Oh, uh, sure." Not sure what to do next, he rubbed the hems of hood. "Shall I ready the car?"
Seeing the nod, he blinked himself back to reality and went separate ways. Walking towards the garage, the blue-haired man replayed the events. He wasn't too sure but he could feel how your mannerisms were slowly rubbing off of Kai. Not that he minded, it was just… weird.
Taking the sim from his pocket, Kurono weighed out the options of burning or keeping the small object. Kai or even Overhaul wasn't too fond of keeping mementos, but his sense of gratitude was always strong. His ways of repaying debts were always admirable, no matter how absurd his methods may be.
Once he was now seated in the car, he knew exactly what to do with it.
The following day, Tsukauchi took his seat beside you. A brown paper bag now resting on your desk. After the heart to heart talk inside your car, you are more than glad that nothing has changed. He still treated you as his partner, as well as his close friend.
"Here are some updates for the Fukuo Kai." Reaching out for a folder, Tsukauchi pulled it with his fingertips till he finally grasped it. "We have detected some movements in their western branch. Me and the 4th division will be checking them out 3 days from now. Care to join?"
Checking your schedule, it was vacant and you agreed.
"So what're your plans now?" He asks while grabbing a small chip from your meal. "Nighteye?"
"Yeah. They’ll be discussing who’s who within the eight precepts.” Despite trying your best, you couldn’t help the slight slumping of your shoulders. Slowly nodding at the words that left your mouth, you chuckled and shook your head.
“Are you debating whether or not to tell him you're a part of the scheme?”
“I can’t but I feel like he’s caught up. I tried to call him last night. Yes, I know it’s cheap of me. But, his number was unavailable so…”
“He probably was off doing villainous deeds.” Tsukauchi patted your head and dragged his seat back to his cubicle. “He’d be a real jerk if he won’t contact you within the next few days. Trust me. Not even bad guys can resist the temptation of women.”
“You’re making me sound like a prostitute, Nao~” You commented while checking your emails. For now, nothing caught your eye. The occasional spam emails were present and one from Hawks but you could save that for later. Any more birdmen was not in your priority.
A few minutes passed and you were now engrossed in typing reports. When the lights of your company telephone lit up, your eyes darted to Namase’s door. It had been a long time since the both of you conversed, or let alone saw each other. The fact that he was calling you only meant bad news. Recalling every case you left unsolved, you were quite confident that this was nothing worth worrying about.
Picking up the phone, you braced yourself.
“Namase?”
“Bet you’re wondering why I called you, right?” Right. You forgot. This man held no filter whatsoever. “Well no need to worry. I just had to inform you that we received an anon caller. Do you wanna put him on the line?”
“An Anon caller? For what case?” You grabbed a pen and paper.
“For the Arson case.”
“Can you put him on the line?”
“Sure~”
Namase put the Anon caller thru and you waited till you were sure he wasn’t eavesdropping.
“Hello?” Even if you weren’t sure whether or not you should receive this call.
“Is this (l/n)-san?” His voice was low but clear enough for you to hear. “I think I have some good information about the fires.”
“I’d love to hear it but I had to hand over the case to the HPSC not too long ago. I can give you their hotline number if you want.”
“They scare me. I would prefer it if it was you who passed the message to them. Are you free later at 4pm?”
“Let me just check my schedule.” You knew you were free but you felt the need to look up the person. “Can I have your name, if that’s alright?”
“Tetsu.”
“Okay, Tetsu-san. Where do you want to meet up? Is a cafe alright? Or do you want a private room in the precinct?”
“A cafe please.”
“Alright, We can meet by the Nooks and Books. ’ll be the one wearing black. I’ll see you later.”
With no greetings, the line ended and you put the phone down. Gathering your stuff, you began to skim through each article you recently read about fires. Granted it had been a while since you last heard any news about fires, the tip was or could be useful. Of course having to talk to the HPSC was something you were not looking forward to.
“Nao, I’ll be taking my leave now. Anything you want me to bring when I come back?” You peaked into his rather messy cubicle. “Geez. Calm down with your cases, buddy.”
“This is only for the meantime.” He scratched his neck and stared at the scattered papers and folders. “I’d like a creampuff, though. A creampuff sounds nice in these trying times.”
“Aight. I’ll bring you a box later.” You said as you exited the floor.
It only took a few minutes but you were now seated in another desk. One where you wished you were not a part of. Greeting the heroes who had just entered the meeting room, you smiled at the sight of Deku and Mirio.
“(l/n)-san! Long time no see!” Deku greeted you and took the vacant seat beside you. “How’s work?”
“Work is work. How’s school? Are you holding up? Must be difficult to juggle this raid and academics.”
“It is but we have supplementary classes so I can manage.”
“Your classmates with Uraraka, Asui, and Kirishima, right?”
“Yeah!”
Exchanging a few more small talk with the heroes, you locked eyes with the hero sitting beside you. The scruffy hair, eyes that looked like they haven’t slept a single second, and the trademark scarf resting on his shoulders. Giving a shy smile, Aizawa merely responded with a lazy nod before Nighteye finally entered the room.
“As you all know, today’s agenda will be task distribution. Let’s get on with the details now, shall we?”
The tasks were distributed rather well. Fatgum Agency would be accompanying the front of the team. Right alongside Nighteye and Aizawa. The other heroes were tasked to stay outside and guard the entrance for any possible nuances that might occur. The police staff were divided into two groups. Being given ample time to assign which officers would be in the outer and inner group, you merely nodded and took the list of names.
‘Great. More work.’ Flipping the pages, most officers were people you had worked with before. At least things wouldn’t be so difficult.
“(l/n)-san?” Nighteye snapped your thoughts away. Adjusting his glasses, he rested his elbows on the desk and leaned in. “How’s the task of bugging Overhaul?”
“I haven’t been in touch with any of them for a few days now. I will be trying this week if the situation allows.”
“Alright. If that succeeds then things will go much smoother and will surely pick up speed. Best of luck. Any questions?”
“Are there any updates about the League of Villains being tied with them?” Deku asked.
“As of the moment, there’s no movement from them. So, it’s safe to assume that they only have minor participation in said event.” Nighteye replied without batting an eyelash. He really was confident in this raid.
Feeling guilt rushing through your veins, you shifted in your seat and silently exhaled. Once Nighteye gave the adjournment, you scurried out of the room and made your way to the cafe. It was a bit traffic but you would still be able to arrive on time. With the cafe being near the station, parking would be no trouble.
When things were now settled, you were now walking towards the cafe and found yourself now standing in front of the cashier and saying your order. Taking your number, you looked for a private booth and sat there. It rested in the corner so Tetsu wouldn’t be too uncomfy.
When the clock struck 4, you were now staring at the lobby waiting for that Tetsu to arrive.
Sure enough, a man with a hood entered the cafe and made eye contact with you. Seeing as he walked towards your booth, it was safe to assume that this was Tetsu.
“Are you Tetsu?” You asked the man wearing the hood. With the sunglasses and mask, you could only make out such little skin his face had.
“I cannot stay long. But I came to hand this over.” He slid a small brown envelope. His head hanging low making sure you wouldn’t catch a glimpse at his covered face. “I hope this can assist your case.”
“To be fair, please stay while I go through the contents of this envelope.” Taking the envelope, you slid the content out only to have a sim card laying flat on your palm. “What kind of information does this hold, Tetsu-san?”
“That information is sensitive so you can check its contents before handing it over.”
“But, I’m not part of the Arson case anymore. Would you still want me to hand this in or redact a few messages.”
Overhaul did not mention you were no longer part of the case. Cursing at how blank his mind was, Kurono glanced at the environment before he exhaled deeply.
“I will only say this once, so listen carefully.” He uttered.
“This isn’t about the Arson case now, is it?” Sliding the sim card back, you carefully placed it inside your bag and focused on Tetsu. The words that came out of his mouth made your heart beat faster. Clenching your fists, you braced for whatever he would say next.
“Kai has been on edge and it’s been such a pain in the ass. I don’t know what the hell made you decide to mention Ackerwacker but you got what you wished for.” Kurono’s voice was low. Barely audible due to the cafe’s music. “But, it would be a lie if I said he hasn’t been more human ever since he met you.”
“Can you take your mask and shades off?”
“You’ll probably just arrest me right here.” Kurono took his shades off revealing familiar gray eyes.
“You were that guy from the restaurant?” Your eyes widened at the realization that Overhaul had interfered that early on. “Not that I’m complaining or anything, but ya’ll did me a great favor.”
A slight smirk appeared on his lips as he took the mask off. It felt different having his face exposed after a long time.
“I can see why he took interest in you.”
“Why meet me, though? Wouldn’t this only risk in you being overhauled and shit?”
“I have my ways. Kai instructed me to get rid of his sim card but I don’t know. Perhaps you can make use of it in your private life.”
“Well, to be honest, the heroes don’t fully trust me.” You shrugged. That was nothing new. “It sucks having to juggle work and personal feelings in this particular case. Guess both of us are in a pinch.”
“Perks of being with Kai.”
“You should probably get going… Chronostasis, right?” Putting his disguise back on, a switch flipped in your mind. “Hey you mind if I get your number? If you have one, ofcourse.”
“Why?”
“I like to make my connections.” You winked. When he took out his phone, you in turn took something out of your pocket. Placing it on the table, you pushed the small box towards the villain. “I’ll text you the instructions later, aight?”
“What’s this?”
“You’ll know when you open it.”
With that, Kurono pocketed the small box and left the cafe. When he was out of sight, you rubbed your face and groaned.
“Damn it.”

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Ultra Let's talk about the Mi Notebook Ultra first. It's powered by Intel's 11th Gen Core i7-11370H processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.8GHz, but you also have the option to buy the one that comes with the same generation i5-11300H CPU, which goes up to 4.4GHz. Both models come with Intel's Iris Xe graphics to handle graphically intensive tasks. However, the i7 variant comes with a single 16GB RAM option, whereas the i5 version is also offered with 8GB RAM. While RAM amount differs, storage remains the same across all units - 512GB NVMe SSD. Mi Notebook Ultra comes with 11th Gen Intel CPU, up to 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD The Mi Notebook Ultra is 17.9mm thin, weighs 1.7 kg, and is made of 6-series aerospace-grade aluminum. The laptop packs a 15.6" 3,200x2,000-pixel Mi TrueLife+ Display having 16:10 aspect ratio and a 90Hz screen refresh rate. It also supports DC Dimming to reduce eye fatigue, and Xiaomi claims the TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light protection filters blue light without affecting the screen's color accuracy. The Mi Notebook Ultra features a full-size keyboard with a 3-level backlight and ships with a 70Whr battery advertised to offer over 12 hours of endurance. And you can charge it with the bundled 65W charger, which can fill the cell up to 50% in 45 minutes. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro The Mi Notebook Pro is made of the same material as the Mi Notebook Ultra's, but it's thinner (17.3mm) and lighter (1.46 kg) than the Ultra variant. That's because the Pro model is built around a smaller 14" TrueLife Display having 2,560x1,600-pixel resolution. Like the Ultra, the Pro variant's screen also has a 16:10 aspect ratio, but the refresh rate maxes at 60Hz and the pixel density is down to 215ppi. The Mi Notebook Pro also ships with a smaller battery (56Whr), which is claimed to last an hour less than the Ultra's cell and goes from flat to 50% in 34 minutes. The rest of the features on Mi Notebook Pro remain the same as Mi Notebook Ultra's. #xiaomi #notebook #minotebook #new #2021 #2021model #newpost #smartdevices https://www.instagram.com/p/CTE9v9Kj-9U/?utm_medium=tumblr

What is the best laptop for two monitors
In this buying guide, you will find the most cost-effective displays for the best dual monitor setup, including monitors with thin bezels, plenty of screen space, VESA mount, and other useful features for office, professional, and productivity work.
These are the best monitors for a multiple monitor setup. As you can see, they differentiate by screen size and resolution as well as connectivity choices, VESA mount compatibility, and even panel type.
In order to be certain you’re getting the best laptop for two monitors , make sure your graphics card can support the resolution you want and that its ports match those of the monitor.
Also, remember that all monitors in this list have an integrated low blue light filter and a flicker-free screen.
In case you are sensitive to screen flicker or you often work for a prolonged time or at night, these two features will prevent eye fatigue and headaches.
For gaming, we don’t recommend dual monitors as you’d always have an annoying gap right in the center of the screen – unless you plan on gaming on one monitor and web surfing, chatting, etc on the other.
A triple monitor setup for gaming makes more sense as you simply extend the screen at the sides.
But this method is more expensive, and if you’re after such an immersive gaming experience, you should consider getting an ultra-wide gaming monitor.
If a monitor supports VESA mount, you can detach its base and mount it on a third-party desk or wall mount which will give you more desk space and therefore further increase your productivity.
In case the monitor has no VESA mount compatibility and limited ergonomics, you may want to consider getting a monitor riser so that you can adjust the height of the screen for your viewing position.
Visit our best monitor stands and risers buyer’s guide for the best deals.

Little Shingles, Big Love
Square Filled: Domesticity
Warnings: swearing, Daddy!Dean, threats of physical violence (minor), cute!Dean, Frustrated!Dean
Summary: Dean has a great idea for your five year twins for Christmas, but you have your doubts.
Pairing: Dean x Reader AU
Word Count: 1607
Written for: @spnaubingo and @winchesterprincessbride‘s Funny Stuff Jen Says Challenge. My prompts were: “What part of “not a morning person” is not clear to you?” and “I love you but I’m still going to beat the shit out of you.”
Beta’d by: @hannahindie who always makes me smile with her comments! Thank you love!
October 15, 2018 11:22pm
“Let’s get Ella this dollhouse!” Dean gushed. He was sitting in bed, laptop open and browsing for gifts for the kids for Christmas. You had vowed to do better this year, hence the early shopping. Christ, it wasn’t even Halloween yet.
You shuffled from the bathroom, toothbrush still in your mouth to look at the picture on the screen. “Dean, do you have any idea how long this will take you to put together? This is a three story Queen Anne dollhouse. It even has a turret!” you mumbled around your toothbrush, blue foam dripping down your chin.
“Babe! I am a skilled mechanic and have been taking things apart and putting them back together my entire life. I can handle a little wood and glue,” Dean boasted, a giant smile on his face as he clicked the ‘add to cart’ button.
One child size wooden work bench for Ethan and a few smaller gifts later and Dean had the kids presents done. You had to say you were impressed with his creativity with the gift ideas, picking out items both kids had already asked for, but you were skeptical. Your husband could disassemble a big block v8 engine with his eyes closed, but a delicate dollhouse? You had your doubts. Even more so, you would probably be doing most of the work. As if having five year old twins wasn’t hard enough; a thirty-nine year child was sometimes the most work of all.

“Sonuvabitch!” you heard from the living room. You rolled your eyes, knowing Dean had finally taken all the pieces of the dollhouse out of the box, laying them out on the middle of the floor.
“Honey?” you called from the safety of the kitchen where you were putting the finishing touches on the Christmas pies for dinner tomorrow.
“I got it!” he grumbled.
You checked the clock and realized that if it wasn’t for the kids sleeping over at Dean’s brother’s house with their cousins, there would be no way Christmas was ever going to happen for your little ones.
You finished up the pies and placed them in the oven. Once the timer was set on your phone, you stuffed it in a pocket and brought Dean a fresh cup of coffee. He was sitting cross-legged in the middle of your living room, little wooden pieces surrounding him. It reminded you of Gulliver’s Travels. You know, the movie with Jack Black where he is taken down by the teeny tiny soldiers? Yeah, that one!
“Do you need some help, honey?” You bent over, kissing the top of his head and sneaking a peek at the instruction manual, which appeared to be about fifty pages thick.
“No! I have this handled!” He had barely even started and was a tad salty already.
“Okay, I am going to start on Ethan’s workbench. Let me know if you change your mind,” you kissed him once more, then retreated to the other side of the room.
December 24, 2018 6:08pm
“Hon? I’m all done with the workbench. How about I make us a couple of sandwiches and we take a break, huh?” You walked over to Dean and could swear he was crying.
“Uhm, yeah, babe. In a minute. I think I finally got this thing figured out,” he replied. You studied him for a moment. His hair was a mess, like sex hair messy and his tongue was sticking out between his teeth as he looked between the piece in his hand and the manual.
You smiled to yourself as you walked to the kitchen. Within a few minutes, you had two sandwiches made, some chips and some apple slices. You carried the tray into the other room and set it down on the coffee table. You handed Dean one of the two beers you’d brought with you.
“Honey, you need a break,” you reminded him, waving the beer in front of his face. He really could be a stubborn bugger sometimes.
“Yeah, okay,” he resigned and stood up, most of his joints cracking or popping in protest.
We sat down, enjoying each other’s company for the first time all day. It was going to be a long night and you needed this time.
December 24, 2018 9:54pm
You trudged your way back down the stairs after showering and changing into your comfiest pajamas. Dean was still working away at the dollhouse, bit by bit. At least he had taken your suggestion and set up the card table so he wasn’t hunched up on the floor.
“Dean, go shower, I’ll work on it while you’re gone so we don’t lose time,” you promised and he dipped his head down to kiss you sweetly before heading upstairs.
The house was actually coming along nicely, albeit slowly. You picked up where Dean left off, gently pushing in the little white wooden railing on the second story. Ella was truly going to love this dollhouse and lose her mind when she opened it. You smiled while you worked, humming softly to the Christmas music playing in the background.
“Wow, you move fast babe!” Dean complimented your work, returning fresh from his shower.
“Well, we’re almost done,” you replied, putting the tiny wooden shingles on the turret. “But, we still have to add all the furniture and it will need to time to dry before we attempt to wrap it. Order us a pizza?”
“Done,” Dean grabbed his phone and entered your favorite order into the delivery app.
With both of you working, you finished assembling the dollhouse just before midnight, with full stomachs and smiles on your faces.
December 25, 2018 1:13am
“I love you, you know that?” Dean looked over at you from his spot on the other side of your daughter’s gift.
“I love you, but I am still going to beat the shit out of you,” you replied, not missing the look on his face.
“What? Why?” he gasped, shocked at your threat of physical violence.
“Because, your brother is going to be home with our children in less than,” you paused, checking the clock, “seven hours! We still have all this itsy bitsy furniture to place, the even smaller dishes and then I have to make the beds!” You were beyond tired and there was easily another hour of finishing touches.
“Well, I love you more now,” Dean chuckled as he painted fake grass on the wood for the ‘backyard’.
“Remember how much you love me next Christmas when you decide to buy incredibly complicated presents for the twins,” you playfully punched him in the arm and carried on.
December 25, 2018 3:06am
“I hate you,” you yawned, crawling into bed, thanking yourself for having put on pajamas hours before.
“I love you, too, babe,” Dean laughed, flipping off the lights. He climbed into bed next to you, but you were already out like the lights.
December 25, 2018 8:00am
The alarm was going off. It wasn’t a work day. Why the fuck is the alarm going off? You cracked one extremely heavy eyelid to see the time. Oh shit! It was Christmas morning. You and Dean had shuffled to bed in the early hours, much closer to morning than you had planned on, all thanks to the ginormous and intricately detailed dollhouse. The thing with kids and Christmas? It’s brutal. Horrifically brutal. And you were not a morning person. Neither was Dean, but he wasn’t in bed with you.
You reluctantly pulled yourself from the comfort of your warm bed and to the bathroom. With business out of the way, you slogged down the back stairs to the kitchen, the aroma of coffee filtering through your brain and your gears slowly started moving.
With a steaming mug in your hand, you wandered into the living room, to find your husband sitting on the sofa, a matching mug in his own hands.
“Coffee first,” he mumbled, taking another sip.
“Dude, why did you set the alarm?” you questioned, sitting down next to him. “What part of “not a morning person” is not clear to you?”
What?” he groaned, not taking his eyes off the mug he was holding like a lifeline.
“On our first date, I told you I wasn’t a morning person. What part of that did you forget when you ordered that contraption for our daughter?” I exclaimed, leaning back into the soft cushions.
“Oh, I didn’t forget. But it’s always easier to beg for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission with you,” he turned his head, smiling at you. “You’re welcome for the coffee, by the way.”
“Mom! Dad! We’re home! Merry Christmas!” The children burst through the door, Dean’ brother, Sam, trailing behind with their bags.
“Was Santa here?” Ella ran toward you and Dean. Her eyes going wide at the site of the gifts spilling out from under the blue spruce.
“Can we open presents?” Ethan asked, jumping between you and Dean.
“Ethan, look!” Ella pointed toward the tree as she climbed into her daddy’s lap.
“Maybe they get that whole morning person thing from your brother,” you shrugged and welcomed your little ones home.
“Who wants to open presents?” Dean stood, one kid hanging from each arm.
“ME!” they answered in unison.
All the hours, the splinters and sore muscles were worth seeing the looks on their shining little faces when they opened their presents.
“I love you,” I whispered, reaching for his hand.
“I know,” he said, taking it with his own. “Merry Christmas.”

Wait, you have filters on your laptop for migraines? I didn't know those were a thing! How can you get them, and are there any that are money and virus free??
Mine really aren’t that high tech or fancy but like they help minimize my headaches and migraines.
I’ve got the night light settings on most of the time (unless I’m watching netflix or somthing) which helps filter blue light and gives your laptop a kind of orange-y tinge. You can find it in Display Settings (on windows at least) and can adjust the filter to your preferences.
I’ve also got another blue light filter screen thing that I stuck to my screen. I got it at Best Buy for like I don’t remember exactly but it was definitely less than $20 cause I’m cheap. It was too big for my laptop and I cut it down to size and it helps.
My parents also have a really good healthcare plan which means there was enough coverage for my glasses that I could spend however much extra to get the blue light filters in my lenses with it still being under the covered amount so I’ve got those too.
So like that’s about it and it’s not perfect but like it helps. Hopefully you can find something that helps you!
