ooooh I finally took the plunge and got a button maker. y’all my hands are so sore, but this is even MORE satisfying than I expected.

gonna turn a bunch of these into needleminders, so it still counts as fiber arts related:)

so I got a pinback button maker a bit ago and I'm a little obsessed with it.

this set of 7 came from a typography/graphic design magazine feature on the book farm anatomy by julia rothman (I found the magazine in the trash at work) and now they are fridge magnets for my mother!

I've made a whole mess of buttons using trading cards and other "found images" too, but I can't responsibly make more buttons until I have a way to Offload existing buttons. my bigcartel definitely doesn't have the reach though, and I've heard etsy fees are pretty punishing...

it's just fun to make the press go "kachunk" is all!!

To anyone who owns a button press;

My wonderful wife gifted me one for Christmas and for the life of me I can’t get the back to align with the front image. I’ll meticulously put each side into their sections and no matter what, the pin is never straight, always on an angle.

I would be supremely appreciative if any tips.
