ANYWAY god DL meta is kind of a shitshow right now (to be fair it is. very often a shitshow. it is very rarely not a shitshow. i have to be somewhat fond of this fact.) DL will usually have this thing happen like every other month where they give a character the most atrociously busted ass skill and well we just have to live with it as a facet of Duel Links Life, but i can't say it doesnt drive me a little insane. Lotta Yubel decks in the high ranks rn and I'd rather see them than that fucking atrocious BLS deck that was Tier 1 for like three godless months at least (though the Yubel decks' skill is also broken as shit and that's. frustrating 🥴 win for jaden and yubel fans tho)

I'm curious about Tenyis but I don't really have the time or energy to build a pretty UR/SR heavy deck at the moment... really rn I think my DL tier issue is just all the good decks right now don't interest me too much, which isn't a bad thing i'm just a little. not inclined to deckbuild at the moment. it's not even a really spicy opinion but DL's inclination towards rewarding Pay To Win decks, while expected, isnt any less annoying sometimes. imma keep it real with you chief: im not spending that much

also god i would be remiss to not mention the Rush Duels. christ. i want to like them so bad. i want to enjoy and take part in the Rush Duel meta so bad. but oh my fucking god. "Rush" Duels. why dont they then. WHY DONT THEY. EVERY RUSH PVP DUEL TAKES 4000 YEARS GIRL GO!!! THERES ONLY LIKE 50 RUSH CARDS TO PICK FROM WHY ARE YOU STALLING!!!!! and then well konami shot Luke's dragons in the head so. there goes my main Rush deck lmfao. it was a bit of a messy release and im not super optimistic that they're going to get More Fun or Enjoyable but maybe. we can dream. the concept is fun and the sevens cast is delightful but trying to climb the Rush ranks sucks so bad dude.

also i wouldnt say shes ugly but i do not like her. i tend to not like Just Delicate Waifish Pretty Lady yugioh monsters but her especially

Oh shit i havent talked about card game anime in forever uhhh -spins roulette wheel and it lands on gx- the reason why season 3 works so well isnt JUST the fact that the Protagonist fighting so hard is also what leads to things getting worse but also that it really forces judai to acknowledge that he really doesnt treat his friends like, well, his friends. All this time judai has been running around without a care for the consequences bc the duel academy was basically a sandbox for him to have fun without having to think about unfortunate things like "crippling depression" and "chronic lonely bitch-itis". We even see early on how this carelessness affects other characters, with manjoumes issues coming to light and sho's (temporarily) worsening relationship with his brother. so when it all slaps him in the face he isnt ready for it and it backfires into a dangerous downward spiral for him. its even made worse by the fact that johan (who he looks up to, so desperately almost) is there and adds even more pressure onto his decisions, made even WORSE when yubel possess' him. for all his talk about playing duel monsters for fun it was a way to for him to basically cope, and its why the duel with kaiba man early on and the final duel with yugi is so important, its basically telling him that its ok, its ok to have fun, its ok to mess up and lose, its ok to be vulnerable, your friends will be there for you, so you should be there for them too.

Reformed!Haou AU

An au where after events, Haou ends up in his own body and ends up following the Yuki twins. (My oc Megan and jaden)

When the smoke cleared, no one expected to see Jaden Yuki....and Haou the Supreme King....separated. Megan and the others stared in shock. Then Megan leaped up onto the field.

"Jaden!!" She cried. She scooped her brother in her arms, shaking him gently. "Jay! Jay hey c'mon! Wake up goof!" Jaden groaned softly as he stirred. His soft brown eyes fluttered open.

"Sis..." he grinned. Megan sighed in relief then held her sibling tightly.

"Dont ever scare me like that again you dummy....." she said softly. Jaden chuckled weakly.

"Aw cmon sis, you gotta get your daily heart attacks somehow." Megan started laughing, tears of relief falling.

"You idiot....." she giggled. Just then, the gang turned on alert as a soft groan sounded. HE was getting up.....

"You ignorant fools!!" Came the growl of the supreme king. "I will end all of you!"

"Jaden! Megan! Look out guys!!" Syrus cried out, trying to reach them. A bright fireball began to burn in the kings hand until....

"Wait!" Megan cried. Jaden looked at his sister, confused. As was everyone else.... "Wait. Dont do this....I know you're supposed to be some....mighty force but....." she began. "What you are is lonely....aren't you?" The fireball froze it's formation.

"What idiocy are you spouting now?!" He cried. Megan's brown eyes determinedly met the gold of the king. Normally she wouldn't of tried....but something deep in her heart pushed her to......

"You're lonely. All you had was Yubel. That's why you're so bent on destroying what we have. You're jealous." The golden eyes burned brighter as the king growled. Jaden fidgeted abit.

"Hey sis maybe--" Megan stopped him by squeezing his hand.

"We can give you what you want......" she began. A voice whispered a name in her ear. "Haou....come with us."

"Megan are you nuts?!" Syrus cried. Jesse held his arm out. "Jesse!!" Jesse shook his head.

"I think Megs might be onto something Sy...." he said. The king was shaking. The fire still burned bright in his hands.

"How did you know my true name?" He hissed. Megan smirked.

"A little birdie told me." She said. Jaden looked at Megan then his eyes darted back to HIM. Maybe Megs was on the right.....

"Megan's right.....we....we could be a family.... Haou.....Yubel too....." he looked up at the duel spirit in question.

"I....." they stammered. Yubel looked at Haou, surprised to see the same conflicting feelings in his eyes. They had been freed from the light of destruction. Alot of thoughts in their mind....

"Shut up!" Haou cried out, throwing the fireball finally. But it seemed to veer and miss the twins. "Just shut up!"

"No more fighting.....aren't you tired of it...?" Megan asked gently, unphased. She carefully let Jaden go and stood up. Slowly walking to the king. "Aren't you tired of the struggle?" She held out her hand to the other. "Let's just end this Haou. Have peace......" the kings hand shook as it quietly rose. Should he? .....COULD he? Jaden looked over to see that Yubel had floated down beside him. After some hesitation, quietly the black gloved hand rested in megan's.

"I'm only changing my mind because you might be useful for me." Haou insisted quietly. Megan grinned amused at that.

"If you say so...new big brother."

Bracelet girls!

I have no idea why this took me like a month... but anyway thats done. I think this is the last for the profiles for the Circus Au, maybe I’ll do a few more here and there depending on time. Currently working on an intro comic so unless I procrastinate it should be done in a few days.

So I just want to preface and say that Selena is my girl and I love her. Rin deserved better treatment so in this Au she is going to be a Mechanic along with Yusei and Yugo. She is the brains behind Yugos designs and Yuseis right hand. She mainly works with Yusaku when she isnt doing trapeze, setting up the lights and fixing them. (Shes actually going to have a personality that does not revolve around Yugo. No I’m not salty you are). Ruri is actually their older half-sister. Rin, Yuzu and Selena are triplets. Ruri and Zuzu are costume designers and occasionally they are a duet together or pair up with Yuya. Ruri is basically the mother the the Circus and makes sure everyones healthy and comforted if their having a rough day. Selena used to do trapeze with the others but a leg injury forced her to quit so now she coordinates everyone along with Yugi. She is the Stage Director and makes sure that everyone gets what they need. She studies business management online and is working towards her degree.

IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR LIKE A WEEK here are my declarations:

Jaden: cannot be stopped from ordering at this establishment. I feel like he'd fuck with a supreme pizza, just put everything on there, man. AND cheesy garlic breadsticks!!!!!!!

Yubel: cheesy garlic breadsticks as well :]

Syrus: just remembered i made him lactose intolerant. lol. anyway he's perpetually nervous about ordering from there with Jaden's soft 'ban' but he'll enjoy a breadstick or two. A slice of pepperoni with extra red pepper flakes on it, perhaps.

Chazz: feels like a Meatlover's pizza type of guy to me.

Alexis: I'm declaring her a Hawaiian pizza lover, so she's already on Paradox's shit list for that. Shes also one of the select few people who even bother with IPC's one meager little salad option and every time she's kind of disappointed but she keeps getting it.

Aster: WILL order the specialty pizza of that Paradox has conjured up and WILL write a Google review about it. Also he's a whiteboy you know he'd go ham on some cheesy breadsticks.

Zane: breadsticks. will eat maybe 2 and 1/3 of one. he has never actually ordered from there himself but if Atticus is calling in an order he WILL add breasticks for zane every time <3

Atticus: pineapple pizza :^) not even hawaiian style just pineapple on a cheese pizza. After Jaden I think Atticus is PDox's least favorite """regular""". Fucking Californians 🙄 (this atticus isnt even from california he's from nebraska. he's just Like That)

Hassleberry: MEATLOVER'S AS WELL. GUY WHO WILL JUST ORDER MEATBALLS AND EAT THAT. ordering insane off-menu options and eating them like the most delighted tyrannosaurus.

Jesse: orders some personalized blue cheese-vegetable abomination (slash pos) and gives scraps of green pepper and mushroom to Ruby and the other Beasts.

Bastion: he is going HAM on that MID HOUSE SALAD!!! Hell yeah man eat those grape tomatoes!!!
