It was the kind of late afternoon when the last streaks of sunlight filtered through the classroom windows, casting a warm glow on the cozy space inside. The room was quiet, save for the soft hum of a cartoon playing on the projector screen. A blanket was spread across the floor, surrounded by pillows of every shape and color. In the middle of it all were two figures: a small boy, whose legs were tucked beneath him as he sat cross-legged on the blanket, and his teacher, you, sitting beside him with a gentle smile on your face.
You were everything a child could ask for in a teacherâwarm, caring, and endlessly patient. Your laughter was infectious, and your ability to make every child feel seen and heard was unmatched. You had a particular soft spot for one student in your class, a tiny boy named Seungwoo. He was shy, and often a bit reserved, but there was something in his wide eyes and sweet smile that melted your heart every time.
That day, Seungwoo had stayed after school, as he often did, for some extra playtime in the reading zone waiting for his father to pick him up. His classmates had all gone home, and you had promised him you'd watch his favorite cartoon together. And so, there you both wereâSeungwoo nibbling on a cookie as he snuggled into a pillow beside you.
"Are you sure your mom and dad don't mind you staying a bit longer, Seungwoo?" you asked softly, your eyes twinkling with affection as you handed him another cookie.
Seungwoo shook his head, a tiny smile forming on his lips. "Dad's always busy, but he likes it when I stay here. He says Iâm safe with you."
Your heart swelled with warmth at his words. "Well, you're safe with me anytime, sweetie. And I'll always have cookies and cartoons waiting for you."
Just as the cartoon reached its climax, the sound of the door opening made you turn. Standing in the doorway, looking every bit as polished and serious as he always did, was Choi Seungcheol, the CEO of a major tech company. Also well known for his handsome looks. His sharp dark suit and expensive watch contrasted with the cozy, colorful childlike atmosphere of the classroom, but the sight before him made his chest tighten.
There, sitting cross-legged on the floor, was his son Seungwoo, laughing and enjoying his time with you. You were sharing cookies, the kind you always baked with your students in mind, and sipping on fruit juice as you watched the cartoon. The sight of youâyour gentle smile as you carefully adjusted a pillow for Seungwoo, the way Seungwooâs face lit up every time you spokeâwas so pure, so heartwarming, that Seungcheolâs heart skipped a beat.
His usual sharp and composed demeanor faltered for a split second as he stood there, taking in the moment. He hadnât expected to find such a sweet scene after his long day of meetings, but it was exactly what he needed to see. It felt like everything he had worked so hard forâhis long hours and high-pressure jobâwas being undone by something as simple as this: someoneâs love and attention for his son.
You noticed him standing there, and your face lit up in that familiar, welcoming smile. "Ah, Mr. Choi! I didnât expect you this late. Seungwoo wanted to stay a little longer, so weâre just finishing up with some cookies and a cartoon. How was your meeting?"
Seungcheol couldnât help but smile, softer than usual. "It went well, thank you. Iâm sorry for being late."
Seungwoo, noticing his father, scrambled to his feet, rushing over to him with a bright grin. "Dad! Youâre here!" he exclaimed, holding up a cookie in the offering. "Want one?"
Seungcheolâs heart melted at his sonâs enthusiasm. "Sure," he said, crouching down to accept the cookie, his eyes meeting yours for a brief moment. You smiled at him kindly, and for the first time in a long while, Seungcheol felt his shoulders relax.
As they all sat together on the blanket, Seungwoo between you two, Seungcheol found himself drawn into the warmth of the moment. The laughter and comfort that filled the room seemed to melt away the tension of his busy, corporate life. It was strange, how just being in this simple, peaceful setting made everything feel... right.
Over the next few weeks, Seungcheol made a quiet promise to himself. He had always been a man of routine, arriving at the school late after long hours of meetings, but now he found himself arriving just a little earlier each day. He would make sure to stop by the classroom after work, even if just for a few minutes. He wanted to see that smile you always greeted him with, to hear your gentle voice speaking to his son, making him feel safe and cared for.
Every time he saw you, a flutter would rise in his chest. You were so effortlessly kind, so good to Seungwoo. He had never realized how much of an impact a teacher could have on a childâs life until now. And perhapsâjust perhapsâhe was beginning to wonder what kind of impact you could have on his life, too.
One afternoon, as he arrived a little earlier than usual, you were sitting at your desk, grading papers with a focused expression. Your hair was loosely tied back, and the soft light from the window framed your face in a way that made you look even more beautiful. Seungcheol hesitated for a moment before knocking softly on the doorframe.
"Hi," he said, his voice low but steady.
You looked up and smiled warmly. "Mr. Choi, youâre early today. Is everything alright?"
He took a deep breath, the weight of the moment not lost on him. "Yes. Everythingâs fine," he replied. "I... I just wanted to say thank you. For everything you do for Seungwoo. He really loves being here with you."
You blinked in surprise at the sincerity in his voice. "Itâs my pleasure, Mr. Choi. Seungwoo is such a sweet boy. Heâs a joy to have in class."
Seungcheolâs heart skipped a beat at your words. He stood there for a moment longer, unsure of how to express what he was feeling. But there, in the quiet space of the classroom, he realized that perhaps some things didnât need words. Not yet, anyway.
As he walked over to where Seungwoo was playing with a set of blocks, you joined them, and for the first time in a long while, Seungcheol didnât mind staying a little longer. He knew he would be coming to school more often now, not just to pick up his son, but becauseâperhapsâthere was more to discover in this little classroom with its cozy reading zone, pillows, and blankets.
It wasnât just the cookies that kept him coming back. It was you.
The following days seemed to pass in a blur, but each one held something special for him. He found himself eagerly anticipating the moment when he'd arrive at the school, hoping to catch just a glimpse of you. And it wasnât just about Seungwoo anymoreâthough, of course, he adored his son and cherished the time they spent together. But there was something else now, something he couldn't quite put into words, that drew him back to the classroom every day.
Each afternoon, he would arrive a little earlier, hoping to find the moment when you and Seungwoo were still together, sharing their cookies and watching cartoons. He loved the way you laughed at the silly moments in the show and the way you gently encouraged Seungwoo to try new things, even as you made him feel comfortable at his own pace.
One particular Thursday, Seungcheol arrived with a little more excitement than usual. He had no meetings scheduled for the afternoon, so he was able to leave work early. When he entered the school, he was greeted by the soft murmur of childrenâs voices and the sweet scent of cookies wafting through the hallway. He smiled to himself as he walked toward the classroom. He could hear the familiar sound of your voice before he even reached the door.
"Okay, Seungwoo, whatâs your guess? Will it be the blue one or the green one?"
Seungwoo giggled. "The green one! Itâs always the green one!"
He stopped for a moment, listening to the laughter. He couldn't help but smile, feeling warmth in his chest. He pushed open the door and saw a familiar sceneryâSeungwoo sitting on the blanket, legs crossed, with you beside him. You were playing a guessing game, and there were cookies scattered around. Your eyes lit up when you saw him.
"Mr. Choi! Youâre here early today!" you said, your voice full of pleasant surprise.
Seungcheol, slightly embarrassed by how eager he felt, nodded. "I finished my work early. Thought Iâd pick Seungwoo up and maybe stay for a bit."
You smiled warmly, your gaze lingering just a little longer than usual. "Youâre welcome to join us, of course. We were just playing a game. Want to try?"
Seungwoo looked up, his face lighting up. "Dad, you can play too! Weâre guessing the color of the candy!"
He chuckled, feeling an unexpected sense of comfort. He was used to boardroom meetings, not children's games, but something about being in this space with you and Seungwoo made him feel at ease. "Alright, Iâll give it a try," he said, taking a seat on the floor beside them. The warmth of the moment was enough to make him forget the hectic hours he spent in high-rise offices.
As you played the game, he found himself enjoying the simplicity of the moment. He listened to Seungwooâs innocent guesses and watched you with encouraging smiles. Your laughter echoed in his heart, and he couldnât shake the feeling that he was experiencing something rare, something that transcended the world of high-powered deals and deadlines.
It was clear that you had a way of making everyone around you feel special. Your love for teaching, your care for each student, and your kindness toward them had started to make a significant impact. He found himself lingering a little longer each day, unable to tear himself away from the peaceful atmosphere you created in that little classroom.
By Friday, he couldnât stop thinking about you. Seungcheol realized that he was beginning to look forward to his time together with you, even if it was just a few minutes at the end of the day. He wanted to know more about the person who had become such an important part of his sonâs life. Andâthough he couldnât quite admit it yetâhe wanted to know more about the woman who made his heart skip every time you smiled at him.
The day dragged on longer than usual, but Seungcheol finally made his way to the school, arriving as the final bell rang. He didnât rush this time; he took his time, knowing he had a few extra minutes to spare. When he walked into the classroom, he found you packing up some of your things.
"Miss Y/N," he said, his voice a little softer than usual, "I wanted to thank you again for everything youâve been doing for Seungwoo. He really enjoys his time here, and I can tell heâs learning so much from you."
You smiled up at him from the desk, your eyes warm and kind. "Itâs my pleasure, Mr. Choi. Seungwoo is such a bright boy. Iâm really lucky to have him in my class."
There was a quiet pause between you two, and you felt something shift in the air, a subtle, unspoken connection that had been growing stronger with each day. He had to take a deep breath before speaking again.
"I was wondering⌠if you might be free sometime? Maybe we could grab a coffee? Just⌠as a thank you. You know, for all the kindness youâve shown Seungwoo and for making me feel so welcome."
The words hung in the air between you. For a brief moment, Seungcheol cursed himself for being so straightforward, so vulnerable. But when he looked at you, he saw your smile soften, your eyes lighting up in a way that made his heart race.
"Iâd love that," you said, your voice gentle. "Iâm usually free on weekends if that works for you."
A surge of relief washed over him. "That sounds perfect. Iâll let you know when."
You exchanged numbers with a small, tentative smile, both of you feeling the weight of what this moment might mean. Seungcheol could feel his pulse quicken at the thought of spending more time with you, outside the classroom. He had known for a while now that there was something special about you, something that made him feel alive in ways you hadn't expected.
When you left the school that afternoon, your heart was full in a way it hadnât been in a long time. The thought of meeting him for coffee and talking about something other than Seungwoo and school made your chest tighten in excitement. You hadnât allowed yourself to imagine this kind of connection in years, but now, with every smile from him, you felt yourself pulling closer.
As the days passed, you looked forward to your coffee date, knowing that this was just the beginning of something that felt as sweet and simple as the cookies youâd shared in that classroom, surrounded by pillows and laughter
The days that followed were filled with anticipation, and he found himself counting down the hours until Saturday. Though he had many things to doâbusiness deals, phone calls, tasks at the officeânothing felt as important as the upcoming coffee date with you. The thought of seeing you outside of school, getting to know the person behind the kind, gentle teacher, made his heart flutter in ways he hadnât felt in years.
Saturday finally arrived, and he made sure to arrive at the cafĂŠ a little early. The air was crisp, a hint of winter beginning to settle in. He stood outside, adjusting his jacket, checking his watch, running a hand through his hair. He tried hard to not look too eager, but the truth was, he had been looking forward to this moment all week.
When he saw you walking toward him, a soft smile on your face, his heart skipped a beat. You looked effortlessly beautiful, wearing a simple yet elegant dress paired with a cozy cardigan. The way you carried yourself, with grace and warmth, made you seem like you were in your element.
"Hi, Mr. Choi!" you greeted him, your voice light and friendly. "I hope Iâm not late."
His nerves settled at the sound of your voice, and he couldnât help but smile. "Not at all, Miss Y/N. I just got here a few minutes ago. Iâm glad you could make it."
You walked into the cafĂŠ together, the scent of coffee and fresh pastries welcoming you inside. Seungcheol led you to a quiet corner, where the soft hum of conversation and the low music in the background made the space feel intimate and cozy. As he sat down, he couldnât help but notice how at ease you seemed, how your presence brought an unexpected peace to your usually hectic world.
"I have to admit," he said, leaning back in his chair, "I wasnât sure what to expect. I mean, we usually talk about Seungwoo, school, and all the little things in his life. But thisâthis feels different."
You smiled, your eyes sparkling with warmth. "I think itâs nice, donât you? A change of pace. We get to talk about something other than lesson plans and school activities."
He chuckled, the sound deep and genuine. "Definitely. Iâve spent so much of my life focused on work and responsibilities, that I forget that there are moments like these that actually make life feel⌠complete. Like this. With you."
Your smile softened at your words, and you tucked a strand of hair behind you ear. "I understand what you mean. Teaching is a big part of my life, but thereâs also more to it, more to me. Sometimes itâs nice to step away from the classroom and just be yourself for a moment."
Seungcheol nodded, his gaze lingering on you. He hadnât realized until now just how much he longed for these quieter momentsâthe ones that werenât filled with the buzz of the corporate world. He was used to being the one in charge, the one who always had to make decisions, led meetings, and set the pace. But with you, there was a kind of tranquility, a balance that he hadnât known he needed.
As you talked, the conversation flowed easily. You shared stories about your childhoods, your favorite books, and even silly things like the kinds of music you liked. Your laughter was infectious, and he found himself opening up in a way he rarely did with anyone. There was a lightness to the way you spoke, a genuine interest in everything he had to say, and it made him feel like he was finally allowed to be more than just the CEO, more than just the father. For the first time in a long while, he felt⌠seen.
"I have to admit," you said, your smile turning playful, "Iâve always been curious about what itâs like to run a company. I mean, youâre so busy with meetings and traveling, right? How do you manage it all?"
Seungcheol leaned forward, intrigued by your question. "Itâs not easy, but itâs all about balance. Finding time for the things that matterâwork, yes, but also family. And now," he added, his eyes softening as they met yours, "Iâm starting to think I need to make more time for things like this."
You blinked, your eyes wide as you took in his words. "Things like this?"
he hesitated for a moment before replying, his voice quieter now. "Things like⌠spending time with you. I know itâs unexpected, but I really enjoy these moments weâve been sharingâgetting to know you, and seeing the way you care for Seungwoo. Itâs been⌠refreshing."
Your cheeks flushed slightly at his words, and you looked down for a moment, a soft laugh escaping your lips. "I didnât expect that," you said, a bit shyly. "But Iâm glad you feel that way. I think thereâs something special about the time weâve spent together too. You and Seungwoo have a warmth to you thatâs hard to ignore."
Seungcheol smiled at your response, feeling a sudden surge of hope in his chest. This wasnât just a fleeting moment, he realized. There was something genuine hereâsomething that he wanted to explore further.
The coffee date continued into the evening, the conversation never running dry. You talked about everything and nothing, the kind of easy companionship that made time seem to stand still. By the time you finished your drinks, you both knew one thing for certain: you wanted more of this.
As he stood up to leave, he took a step closer to you. "Iâm really glad we did this," he said, his voice sincere. "And, um⌠if youâre free again sometime, maybe we could do it again?"
You smiled warmly, your eyes lighting up at his words. "Iâd love that."
His heart raced at the thought, but there was a calmness to it now, a certainty. He had known, even before he asked, that this was just the beginning of something. The connection between you two was undeniable, and he was more than ready to explore it.
"How about next weekend?" he asked, his voice soft.
"Next weekend sounds perfect," you replied with a smile that made his chest swell with warmth.
As you walked out of the cafĂŠ together, side by side, he felt like something had shifted, not just in the world around him, but within himself. Maybe it was because of the way you made him feelâlike he was more than just a CEO, more than just a father. Maybe it was the quiet moments, like the ones you shared over coffee, that made him realize how much you had been missing.
And as you parted ways that night, a promise unspoken hung in the airâ that this was only the beginning.

iâve never been able to understand peopleâs issues with spamming, especially if there are significantly more reblogs than likes (i would get the frustration if it was just likes since those arenât productive at all). iâm a spammer on certain sideblogs and anyone is always welcome to do the same with me unless iâd want you blocked for unrelated reasons anyway. đ¤ˇ
if it really bothers you because it blows up your phone with alerts, just turn off notifications in settings for a while â itâs super quick & easy to (un)do.
ok i just got this thought out of nowhere but blog divers (people who scroll through a blog and reblog things that were posted YEARS AGO) are actually a super important part of the tumblr ecosystem
With people going inactive and deactivating, a lot of classic tumblr posts and also missed gems get lost because those connections get broken. Even on my own blog I forget about posts I made until I see someone in my activity reblog one of them- which then inspires me to reblog it myself because it was a good post and I want my new followers to see
do not feel bad about diving through someone's blog and reblogging shit from years ago, it keeps dashboards alive
(and if anyone has a problem with that, they can just block you or they can delete the root post ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ, two things that have absolutely no effect on the grand scheme of our lives)

word count: 2.4k
synopsis: in which you get sick on christmas, and sylus is there to make it better.
contains: sylus x mc!reader (not dating but sylus is down bad), christmas themes, a singular reference to his myth, a singular reference to grassland romance, mentions and consumption of food, suggestive themes, cursing, angst, and fluff.
a/n: i got sick. again. on christmas too. you know what that means. sylus time! on a related note, i hope everyone had a wonderful christmas. my rafayel fic is gonna upload soon as well. enjoy! reblogs and comments always welcome! do NOT copy or translate my work. sylus does NOT endorse plagiarism.
you curse as you rip open a hot chocolate packet. "sick on christmas," you grumble as you pour the contents into a mug. "how the fuck is that even possible."
of course, anyone can get sick at any time. it's inevitable. but, seriously? of all the days the pain in your throat and ears could have appeared, it just HAD to be on fucking christmas day. sure, it's not like you had any plans. normally you would celebrate with grandma and caleb by feasting on countless dishes and singing christmas songs from an old karaoke machine caleb swears isn't broken. but they're not around anymore.
you sigh miserably as you trudge over to the water dispenser for hot water, not wanting to think about your lost family. as you press the button for hot water, you lean against the dispenser, trying to figure out what you're going to do for the rest of the day. you were planning on visiting the market to make a nice dinner or perhaps order takeout at your favorite restaurant. but those are no longer viable options since your throat is killing you and your ears are incessantly burning. maybe you can order delivery? but that means you're going to have to clean up afterward, and you did NOT want to clean anything at the moment, especially with the state you're in.
shaking your head, you bring your mug back to the kitchen counter and search for a spoon.
"water for hot chocolate? i'm disappointed, sweetie."
you jump, an "oh, fuck!" leaving your mouth. sylus had materialized in front of you, a plastic bag in his left hand and a present box in his right. not like you noticed though. you were too startled by his sudden appearance. "what the fuck, sylus?! can't you knock?!"
"no," he deadpans, placing the bag and box on the kitchen counter. his fingers make quick work of untying the double knot on the bag. "besides," he spares you a glance. "i don't think someone who uses water to make their hot chocolate deserves a knock."
you roll your eyes. of course he fixates on that and doesn't explain why he's in your crappy apartment slandering you instead of downing at LEAST three glasses of wine in his luxurious penthouse on christmas day too. "well, screw me for being lazy, i guess," you mumble, crossing your arms.
"don't tempt me."
"huh?"
"what?"
you shoot him a look before grabbing your mug and heading to the other side of the kitchen counter. sitting on your squeaky high chair, you ask, "why are you here, sylus?"
he takes out a styrofoam container and opens its lid. immediately, the comforting smell of miso greets you. as sylus opens a cabinet to retrieve a pot (you don't question how he knows where to find it), you try to look at what else is in the plastic bag. tilting your upper body, you notice another container and hope it has some rice inside. what you don't notice is sylus' breath hitching when he turns back to you after pouring the miso soup into the pot and turning on the stove.
you were wearing a nice, loose top in your favorite color. except, its neck portion was completely cut off, leaving your collarbone and shoulders deliciously exposed. and because you were leaning on your side to take a look at what he had brought you (he loves when you're curious about anything involving him), the sleeve was slowly yet surely sliding down your arm, threatening to show a cup of your bra.
sylus instantly turns back to the stove, even though the miso soup shows no signs of boiling. rubbing a hand over his face, he shakes his head. no, he's not here to ogle at you (the top looks really good on you, and fuck, did your bra cup your breasts really nicely). he's here to take care of you. earlier, mephisto alerted him you were taking some cough drops. and knowing you, you probably didn't have any food on hand to sustain you through your sickness, given his last (secret) visit to your apartment to stock your (empty) fridge. taking a deep breath, sylus returns to the kitchen counter, reaching for the other container. he notices your inquisitive eyes.
"i'm here because it's christmas." he opens the container, and to your delight, it's omurice. marveling at how fluffy the omelette looks and how savory the fried rice appears, you almost miss his answer.
"huh?" you frown. "you're here because it's christmas?"
"is that not what i just said?" sylus jests as he plates the omurice and places it in your microwave.
"well," you start carefully. "shouldn't you have better things to do? like take luke and kieran shopping or pop open another bottle of wine because woo! christmas!"
the silver-haired man shakes his head with a chuckle, propping his hands on the kitchen counter. you try not to focus on his exposed forearms too much. forget the omurice and miso soup; you'll take his arms instead.
"first of all, luke and kieran are busyâ"
"on christmas?!"
"yes, sweetie, on christmas." he raises a brow at you for interrupting. you drag your sleeve back up sheepishly.
"second of all, what makes you think i haven't already indulged in a bottle of wine today?" he tilts his head and crosses his arms, gazing at you with a hint of amusement in his ruby eyes.
you pout and look away. "fair point, i guess."
enjoying your cute reaction, sylus returns his attention to the stove. pleased to find the miso soup boiling, he turns off the stove and takes out a bowl from your cabinet (again, how does he know where to find that?). using a ladle to pour into the bowl, he hums a little tune. you try not to snicker at how terrible he sounds. after sliding a bowl of soup and a plate of omurice to you, sylus plants his elbows on the counter and rests his chin on a palm, allowing him a perfect view of his beloved (though you don't know you're his beloved yet; luke and kieran called him a loser before getting their asses handed to them).
"uh," you look at sylus, then at the food, and then sylus again. "you're not going to eat?"
he shakes his head. "i already ate before coming here."
hesitantly, you pick up your utensils. "you know you technically haven't answered my question, right?"
"i'll tell you once you finish." sylus responds immediately. it's almost as if he knew what you were going to say.
no longer wanting to torture your stomach, you cut into the omurice and take a bite. "mmm!" you cover your mouth as you chew. the softness of the egg, the savoriness of the fried riceâoh, you're in heaven. "this tastes really good, sylus!" you take a sip of the miso soup as well. not only does the warm broth soothe your throat, but the spice that comes with it clears up your sinuses, ceasing the burn in your ears.
the man in front of you can't help but smile at the sight. you, in your most vulnerable, beautiful state, enjoying his cooking. he could die a happy man here. and it wouldn't be the first time his cause of death is you. not that he minds or anything.
"thank you, sylus." you take a few more bites before swallowing. "seriously, i needed this."
"i know, sweetie," he says gently. "i know."
you glare at him, but not with as much malice as you used to. "did mephisto snitch on me or something?"
sylus lets out a laugh before grabbing the present box and joining you on the other side of the counter. "he simply saw a poor little hunter in need of some saving."
"since when does being sick mean needing saving?" you mutter as you set your utensils down, having finished the meal. you make a mental note to ask where he got the food. you're definitely going to visit wherever this exquisite meal came from (the man sitting next to you would die if he knew you wanted to visit his place).
sylus hands you the present box, causing your eyes to widen as you finally process its existence. "merry christmas, sweetie."
instead of accepting it, you jump out of your seat and dash to your room, though not without yelling a "wait here!" your heart beats rapidly as you open your closet door, your eyes landing on a small box wrapped in glossy black paper. yes, you were planning on spending christmas alone. yes, you were planning on giving this to sylus as nonchalantly as possible AFTER christmas (as much as he infuriates you, you still wanted to gift him something. why? you're not sure). and yet, here you are, holding the gift to your chest as you sprint back to the kitchen. "here," you pant as you thrust your gift into his lap. "merry christmas, sylus."
now it's his turn to be surprised. peering at what you just put in his lap, sylus can't help but blush profusely. you gifted him something. you actually gifted him something. you went out of your way to buy something for him. you thought of him. sylus brings a hand to his mouth, his fingers gripping the sides of his face hard. oh, you're too much. it's taking him everything to not crash himself into you and hold you tightly with his arms, to press himself so deeply into you until there is no chance in heaven or hell you could be separated from him.
"sylus?" you snap him out of his thoughts. "you okay?"
he blinks. "ah." releasing his face from his grip, sylus looks at you with a composed smile. "i'm alright, sweetie. thank you for the gift," he says as he starts unwrapping.
"it's not much," you say shyly. "thank you for your gift too. i'll open it after you finish opening yours."
sylus nods as he opens the box. his lips part when he finds what lies inside. a pair of black gloves, thermal lined with genuine fleece and adorned with adjustable straps. but most importantly, embroidery by your hands. he could recognize your handiwork anywhere thanks to your previous adventure in the grasslands. the white dove delicately sewn into the wrist of the right glove and the initials of his name intricately engraved into the wrist of the left. the man can't help but smile for the umpteenth time tonight. you really were something else.
"i noticed you wear fingerless gloves whenever you ride your motorcycle," you start as you fiddle with the hem of your shirt. "as stylish as they are, mr. sylus," you tease. "i think it's better to have gloves that keep you warm during late-night joyrides, especially now since it's winter." finding the courage to grin at him, you conclude your explanation with, "merry christmas, sylus."
sylus swears he sees an angel sitting next to him. how could you not be an angel? with the way you're smiling at him right now? and the amount of thought you put into this gift? (he's trying not to obsess over the fact that you observe him whenever he rides his motorcycle.) the head of onychinus has never believed in angels. but now, he does. thanks to you.
"thank you, sweetie," he tries to say as calmly as possible. "i will cherish them." when he attempts to put the gloves on, you stop him.
"wait, you don't need to put them on yet! you're going to get hot."
"it's fine," sylus assures as he secures the straps. "i want to."
"okay," you flush, happy that he likes the gift. "let me open yours now."
you wonder why his box is so heavy as your fingers rip off the tape. a gasp escapes your mouth as the wrapping paper falls to the ground. "sylus," you tremble. "i can't accept this."
a record player. a sleek, gorgeous record player with an obsidian platter, supported by a mahogany base and a crystal case. you stroke the tonearm, dragging your index finger all the way to the headshell and relishing in the cool feeling the metal provides. "sylusâŚ" you trail off.
"there's more, sweetie." he murmurs. out of thin air, sylus materializes several vinyls with his evol. your eyes widen, recognizing the images that lie at the center of each disc.
"oh my god, sylus!" your favorite band, he got you vinyl records of each album from your favorite band. they've never even had vinyl records before. holy fucking shit. "sylus!" you chant excitedly, leaping into him as you wrap your arms around his neck. "sylus! you shouldn't have! oh my god!"
you jump up and down eagerly, leaving the man stunned in his chair. his arms are outstretched, unsure what to do for the first time ever. you freeze, realizing the position you are in. "oh uh," you quickly retract from him, a red hue forming on your cheeks. "sorry about that." you go to sit back down in your chair, but sylus doesn't let you. he pulls you back to him with an arm around your waist and a hand at the back of your head. standing at full height, the head of onychinus hugs you tightly, so tightly it's as if he never wants to let you go. you hesitate before returning the hug, questioning the man's motives. but he doesn't say or do anything. just stands embracing you. realizing he bears no ill will, you pat his back playfully. "you know i'm sick, right?"
his grip doesn't loosen. "yes, i know."
"you're going to get sick, sylus," you tease, trying to pull away. as much as you appreciate his warmth, the last thing you want is for him to get sick. just the thought of it strikes fear in your heart. you're not sure why. "come on, let go."
sylus sighs before untangling his arms and sitting back down. he'll give in for now. besides, he wouldn't trade that elated look on your face when he revealed the records for anything in the world. he supposes he can enjoy such a view some more.
you giggle excitedly as you examine the vinyl records. "oh, should i play this one first? oh, what about this one? no way! you got this one too?!"
as always, you don't catch the woozy, lovesick smile that appears on sylus' face as he folds his arms and leans back to admire you. if this is what christmas with you is going to look like in the future, sylus desperately hopes you'll spend every christmas with him from now on. but, just to be sure, because nothing is guaranteed in the future, he follows your example and says for the second time of the night, "merry christmas, sweetie."

soft hours pt. 2 - christmas
how they would celebrate christmas with you (plus a suprise they have trouble keeping secret)
maknae line
warnings: mdni, christmas fluff, smut
pairings: choi san x f!reader, song mingi x f!reader, jung wooyoung x f!reader, choi jongho x f!reader
word count: 5.8k
author's note: MERRY TEEZMAS! Here's the maknae line, finally! I picture this as slightly aged up members and their significant others, still famous and working in the industry but with solo careers (hence the ability to take actual time off for themselves). But I did try to keep that part vague. I'm not religious but I grew up with Christmas, but feel free to sub in whatever winter holiday tickles your fancy. Once again found myself writing much more for the maknae line but sue me, it's where 2/3 of my bias line lives!
likes, comments, and reblogs always welcome as long as you're not a minor!
Choi San: âAre you sure you want to do this? My family really wouldnât mind coming to Seoul instead.â San fixed you with a worried look.
âChoi San,â you rolled your eyes, âI promise you, Iâm not only happy but excited to see Namhae. Itâs where you grew up, itâs important to me. I donât care if everyone there knows your name, I donât care if Iâll get dirty glares in the grocery store. As long as youâre with me, everything will be fine. I want to see every part of you and the town you grew up in is part of that.âÂ
Sanâs troubled expression softened, his lips curling into a small smile, dimples revealing themselves on his cheeks, âIâm the luckiest man on earth.â He picked you up before you could protest, spinning you in a circle before gently letting your feet meet the ground once again, pulling you into a swift, tender kiss, âIâm going to make it worth it for you, I promise.â
âSpending time with you is always worth it, Sannie.â You kissed his left cheek, unable to hold back any longer, his dimples having tempted you for too long.Â
âStop being so sweet or weâll never get on the road.â He teased, planting one last kiss to your forehead before gathering your suitcases into his hands and heading outside towards the Uber. There wasnât a great way to drive there from the city, so youâd be taking a very quick flight, likely spending just as long in the airport as you would on the plane. At least your days in economy seating were over since having started dating San.Â
Airports gave you mega anxiety, and you were soon reminded of several reasons you loved your boyfriend so much. The way he could sense your nerves, keeping you close to his side, rubbing circles on the back of your hand with his thumb, holding onto your ticket and boarding pass for you so you didnât have to panic every time you thought you misplaced it, speaking softly in your ear to help distract you from your surroundings.Â
He guided you in front of him through security, knowing you didnât like feeling left behind. He was caught up with security for a minute as his bag passed through the sensor. You could see him trying to remain calm, speaking to the workers in a rushed but polite tone and wondered what the hold up was, but as soon as you were about to approach to check in, he was being waved through, an understanding seeming to have been reached.Â
âEverything okay?â You asked as he approached.
âAll good,â He smiled at you reassuringly, âJust couldnât figure out what my razor was I guess.â
âAh, yes, because you definitely wouldnât be more dangerous with just your bare hands.â You joked.
âExactly.â He laughed.
The rest of the flight went off without a hitch, and soon you were waiting on the curb outside of the small airport, excitedly waiting for Sanâs parents to arrive to take you to their house.Â
You loved his family, and they were always so warm and welcoming to you. It was so nice to see them in this context, the town they knew so well and loved.Â
Once at their house, you got to see something youâd been dying to witness since you met the man, âByeoli!â San squealed as his cat trotted out and began rubbing on his ankles, purring loudly, âHi, baby! Itâs so good to see you.â
You knelt down beside San, and Byeol approached cautiously, sniffing your finger until finally deciding she approved, rubbing her cheek on your hand.Â
âLook at that. My two girls meeting at last.â San beamed at you, âShe likes you. But I always knew she had good taste.â
âHe has the best taste, isnât that right, Byeol?â You addressed the cat rather than San.Â
After unloading your luggage into Sanâs childhood bedroom (still decorated the same, much to your amusement), the two of you were sent on a grocery run for some last minute things Sanâs mom needed for dinner that night.Â
San had been right to warn you. No less than ten people in the grocery store recognized him, assessing you in varying degrees of approval, ranging from polite acceptance to obvious, poorly hidden distaste and jealousy. But the latter didnât hurt your feelings as much as you thought it would, easy to ignore with how proud San looked when he introduced you to them.Â
You adored hearing San wax poetic about his memories of his hometown as you drove around, taking an unnecessarily scenic route back home, how his face lit up when he saw that his favorite old ice cream shop was still open, the billboard with his face on it, which he blushed at the sight of, his high school, the park where he had his first kiss, his dadâs taekwondo studio. All of it was so distinctly him, painting the picture of the man with whom you were so deeply in love with as you put images to places you had only heard described to you before.Â
âSan,â You grabbed his hand as he parked the car back in the driveway, âThank you for showing me.â
âItâs not much to show,â He shrugged, âBut itâs part of me.â
âIt means the world to me, baby. You mean the world to me, and this town is part of you. Donât undersell its value.â
He picked up your hand that was holding his, bringing it to his lips, kissing each knuckle gently, âI donât think I realized how important it was for you to see it until we were here.â He sighed, âSo thank you, jagi.â
âAny time, my love.â You smiled at him, butterflies fluttering in your stomach at the look he was giving you, amazed that after all this time, he could still elicit that sensation within you so easily.Â
You pulled him into a quick, deep kiss, pulling away before the two of you got lost in it, knowing everyone inside was awaiting your return.Â
San's older sister and brother-in-law arrived shortly after and you couldn't stop smiling at how happy you were with these people. You were all but estranged from your own family and before you met San, the holidays were spent either with friends or alone and it never really bothered you too much, but now, experiencing what this was like, it was making you emotional.Â
As you sat by San's side on the couch in their living room while everyone got caught up, you felt a tear escape your eye, rolling warm down your cheek.
San caught on immediately as you went to wipe it away, âHey,â he squeezed your hand, âEverything okay, baby?â
âYeah,â you sniffled, âSorry, I just really love your family. You know how mine isâŚâ
âOh, honey,â San wrapped his arm around you, pulling you securely to his side, âI know. You never had this, huh?âÂ
You shook your head.Â
âWell they're your family now, too, jagi.â He assured you.Â
San's sister overheard the last part, âOh, did you already-âÂ
San cut her off before she could continue, ignoring the confused look on your face, âLet's do gifts!âÂ
Later that night, you had assured San you could be quiet when you couldn't take his teasing any longer, but you were having a hard time keeping that promise as his tongue lavished your core with expert precision, clasping a hand over your mouth as he carried you over the edge, other hand clasped tight in his hair, desperately trying to keep your movements small but unable to control your hips bucking against his face as you reached your peak, waves of pleasure rolling over you.Â
He pulled back, crawling towards you again, settling in behind you, kissing all over your shoulders and neck, âI will never get tired of that.â He whispered, and you could hear the smile on his voice.Â
âI hope that's true, because I sure as hell won't.â You turned to catch him in a lopsided kiss, âLet me help you, too, baby.â
âJagi,â he kissed you sweetly, pulling away to yawn, but lining his cock up to your entrance nonetheless, âHow did I get so lucky?âÂ
âIf you're too tired-â
âNever.â
He started rolling his hips slowly, knowing the exact motion that drove you crazy. You were still coming down from your last orgasm and he built it back quickly. Soon, you were clenching around him and his hips stilled as he followed. You tried to adjust to pull yourself off of him, but he wrapped an arm around you, stopping you, âMmh, no, just stay. You're so warm.âÂ
âI-â You chuckled as you heard him already breathing heavy, falling to sleep, âYeah, okay. Anything for you, baby.âÂ
You awoke a little while later to the feeling of San hard inside you again, unable to stop from clenching at the feeling, realizing he was awake and was obviously trying to stay still.Â
âGo ahead, baby, use me.â You whispered.Â
He grunted in acknowledgement, rolling you to your stomach and fucking you slowly and carefully into the mattress, your face graciously buried in the pillow to muffle any noises that may have tried to escape.Â
Before you knew it, the two of you were falling apart once again. This time, once you had ridden your orgasms out, San pulled out and allowed you to get up and go to the bathroom.Â
When you returned, he was sitting up in bed, a wild look on his face as you climbed in beside him, âJagiya, I lied earlier at the airport.â
âYou what? When?â You were racking your brain for anything he had said that might have been false.Â
âIt wasnât my razor that confused security,â he pulled a ring box from under his pillow, âIt was this.â He opened it, revealing the ring of your dreams, âI was serious earlier though, when I said you're family now. I already consider myself the luckiest man on earth having you by my side, and I want that to be true. Permanently. Take my name. Join my family. And let's start our own someday. Please, love? Marry me.âÂ
âChoi San.â You felt tears well up again, âYes, God, yes. Nothing would make me happier.âÂ
âChoi Y/N.â He whispered it like a prayer. You were his family now and he was yours. You could hardly sleep in your excitement afterwards, making out with your fiance into the early hours of the morning.Â
Song Mingi: The bed dipping with added weight roused you from a deep sleep. Blue early morning light streamed in through the curtains as you blinked open your eyes.Â
âMingi?â Your voice cracked as you sat up, bleary eyed and disoriented, reaching for the bottle of water you kept on your bedside table.Â
âBaby!â Mingiâs deep voice rattled your sleepy brain as he pounced on top of the suitcase he had just hefted onto the bed, âCan you help me out real quick?â
âWhat time is it?â You groaned.Â
â7am! Come on, we need to be on the road at 8!âÂ
âSong Mingi. Once upon a time, you and I bonded over the fact that we're not morning people.â You grumbled as you tossed the comforter aside to assist your goofy boyfriend.Â
âI know, that's why I was very brave and got up early to pack for us. Thereâs coffee on in the kitchen, cutie.â He kissed your temple hastily as you came around to help hold the pieces of the suitcase together for him to zip.Â
âOkay, I forgive you- wait, is this all games? Do you really think you can get the guys to play Catan again after what happened last time?â You eyed him skeptically.Â
âWooyoung and Jongho made up a week later!â He defended himself, âYou know I've gotta at least try.â
âI know, I know.â You rolled your eyes, âIt's your favorite.âÂ
âNo, baby.â He grunted as the zipper finally closed all the way, âYou're my favorite.â He tackled you back onto the bed, peppering your face with kisses, ending with a slow, sweet kiss on your lips, âI love you a whole lot, have I said that recently?â
âHmm.â You pretended to consider it, âI mean, not in the last business day, probably.â
Mingi gasped, âInconceivable!â He practically shouted in your ear, resuming his attack.Â
âYou're the silliest goose on the whole pond.â You couldnât help but giggle at his antics.Â
âAs long as it's your pond.â He replied, hopping to his feet and pulling you up behind him, not awaiting your reply, âC'mon, go get dressed! I'll go pour you some coffee.âÂ
âYou're acting more odd than normal and I'm going to figure out why.â You mumbled as you trudged over to your dresser, finding it nearly empty, âWait, Mingi, did you pack for me, too?â You called to him in the kitchen.
âYeah! I just grabbed everything!â He called back, âI laid you out an outfit, it's on your desk chair.â
You looked over to find a pair of his sweats and one of his oversized t-shirts with your bra and a pair of underwear laid on top. âThese are your clothes!â You yelled through a chuckle.Â
âYou look so cute in my clothes,â He reentered the room, handing you your favorite coffee mug, âPlus, I kinda packed everything I've ever seen you wear.âÂ
You rolled your eyes as you began changing in front of him.Â
âUgh, baby. That's no fair.â He whined.
âWhat?â You asked, confused, as you pulled on clean underwear.
âYou're so hot and I don't even have time to have sex with you about it.â Mingi pouted, ogling you from his position on the bed.Â
You laughed, crossing over to him with only underwear on, âNot with that attitude.âÂ
Half an hour and three orgasms later, Mingi came up for air from in between your legs, licking his lips like he had just eaten the most delicious meal in the world - he probably would argue he had, if you'd asked him.Â
âJagi,â You gasped, still breathing hard as he kissed up your torso, âWe have to get on the road.â
Mingi pouted but didn't protest too much, letting you up to get dressed and pack your toiletries.Â
Yunho's lake house had become a yearly tradition for the eight of them, everyone heading there a couple of days after Christmas to stay through New Years. Plus ones were prohibited except for âseriousâ relationships, which they typically defined as at least engaged. You had thought Mingi might propose on Christmas, but you were even more excited at the thought of it happening on New Years Eve.Â
Christmas this year had been lovely. He had an uncanny ability for gift giving, you suspected he kept a running list of every thing you mentioned vaguely wanting throughout the year, and this year was no exception. His mom had the two of you over for Christmas, feeding you far too much and giving you knowing glances like she knew what laid ahead for you in the very near future. You were so grateful with how welcoming she had been since you started dating Mingi, knowing how big of a momma's boy he was, her approval meant everything to you. You would have been happy had he proposed at Christmas, and as much as having his mom's approval meant to you, you absolutely adored the seven other members of his group, considering them to already be like brothers to you, and by how they treated you, you figured they considered you similarly. Truth be told though, you would be thrilled no matter where or when he proposed.Â
Road trips were one of your favorite things to do with Mingi. They were always filled with silly made-up car games and singing along to music at the beginning, turning to comfortable silence with his hand on your thigh as he drove, talking intermittently about anything and everything and nothing at all towards the end. Most of all, you loved the uninterrupted time you got just to simply stare at him and take him in. You thought he was the most beautiful person on the planet, every detail of his face and body a work of art in and of itself.Â
â...and that's why I don't think you'd ever remember it even if you had been abducted by aliens.â Mingi concluded his thesis as he pulled the car into the driveway of the lake house at last.Â
âHmm.â You considered, âI think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, my love.âÂ
âI'm taking a vote when we go in.â Mingi shot you a challenging look as he got out of the driver's seat, darting around to your door to open it for you before you could do it yourself.Â
âGood, I can't wait to win the vote.â You teased him, leaning in for a kiss, gasping as he pulled a fast one on you, leaning in to return it only to turn away and deny you at the last second.Â
âSong Mingi!â You chastised him, âFine. No more kisses ever again since you don't want them.â
âWhat!â He pouted, rushing back over to you with pleading eyes, taking your empty threat seriously, âBaby, no! Please, forgive me, I'm so sorry, don't deprive me!âÂ
You snickered at him, âAw, princess.â You pulled him close, giving him a chaste peck on his pretty lips, âI would shrivel up and die if l couldn't kiss you.âÂ
âYou guys are disgusting, I take it back, no plus ones.â Yunho bullied you from the porch, âMingi, go ahead and go home.â
âHey!â Mingi barked, offended by his best friend's words.Â
âWe missed you, too, Yunho.â You rolled your eyes, strolling over to him as he waited with open arms for a hug.Â
âItâs been too long, noona.â Yunho crushed you to his chest. You weren't exactly petite, squarely on the tall side and you could wear Mingiâs jeans pretty easily, filling them out similarly in the ass and thigh region, but he and Yunho still made you feel small in comparison.Â
âThank you for inviting me.â You answered through constricted lungs, âI do have to breathe, though.âÂ
âMy bad.â Yunho chuckled as he released you, âI just have to make sure you know you're my favorite. But don't tell anyone.â
You crossed your heart, âIt's our secret, Yuyu.â You winked at him.Â
The rest of the night followed in a similar fashion, ending with all of you in the spacious living room, pleasantly buzzed. Wooyoung sat curled in San's lap, relaying a story you all had heard a thousand times but indulged in letting him tell regardless, mostly due to the entertaining way he reenacted it. Seonghwa sat on the floor in front of Hongjoong, building the Star Wars Lego set the latter had gifted him from Christmas as his husband stared at him with an endless depth of adoration in his eyes. Jongho, who was pretty perpetually single by his own choice, sat in front of the fireplace with his guitar, humming and singing quietly. Yeosang leaned onto Yunho's shoulder, letting his boyfriend play with his hair absentmindedly. You hadn't realized the two of them were dating, but you had to admit, it was rather cute. Roommates to lovers, a tale as old as time. You supposed the âengaged at minimumâ rule didn't apply to the host himself.Â
You felt so at peace, so at home with everyone there, so full of love for all of them. Honored to have been let in to this sacred circle and welcomed with open arms.Â
The next few days were spent playing games - including, much to your surprise, an oddly civil game of Catan - or with Wooyoung and Mingi in the kitchen, San, Yunho, and Seonghwa fighting like siblings in the snow, Hongjoong and Jongho writing and singing songs together, you and Yeosang watching movies and discussing the quirks - some endearing, some harder to stomach - of your significant others, the two of whom had known one another since middle school. You were so excited for this to be your family, you could hardly wait for New Years.Â
When the night in question finally came around, though you knew it was coming (Wooyoung had barged in as you were getting dressed earlier, making sure your fingernails were painted), Mingiâs proposal still managed to surprise you.Â
Right before midnight, champagne flutes passed out, all of you dressed in cocktail formal, excited for an excuse to get dressed up after a week of sweats and pajamas, Mingi tapped his flute with a knife to get everyone's attention, âA toast! To my friends, who have been with me through everything, the ups and downs of being idols and just life in general, and most importantly, who have listened and advised me on my relationship with my beautiful girlfriend. It means the world to me that you all love her so much. I consider us to be family,â he turned to you then, fishing in his pocket, âBut I'd really like us to be family officially. If you'll have me, sweetheart. Nothing could make me happier.â He knelt down, opening the ring box with one large hand, showing you the most perfect ring you could have dreamed of.Â
âMingi,â you beamed at him, âYes, of course, baby. You better fucking marry me, you goose.âÂ
âAs long as I'm your goose.â He rose, removing the ring and guiding it gently onto your ring finger.Â
âAlways.â You promised.Â
âTen!â Wooyoung began the countdown to midnight.Â
âNine!â The others joined in, yourself and Mingi included, waiting for the clock to strike twelve before you sealed the moment with a kiss.Â
âEight!â You all chanted. âMakes one team!â You added in between, garnering laughter from the group.Â
âSeven!â
âSix!âÂ
âFive!â
âFour!â
âThree!â
âTwo!â
âOne!âÂ
âHappy New Year!âÂ
It wasn't your first kiss, obviously, but it might as well have been, the way the butterflies in your abdomen danced at the contact, face going warm as several of the boys wolf whistled at the display. It only served to egg Mingi on, and he swung you down into a deep dip, never breaking your kiss.Â
âOkay, okay, ew. Enough. Save it for the wedding.â Jongho pretended to complain from across the circle.Â
âBooooo!â Wooyoung shot back at him.Â
âBe nice, baby.â San half-heartedly scolded him.Â
âHe's being rude!â Wooyoung defended himself.
Mingi brought you back to your feet as the bickering escalated in the background, wiggling his eyebrows at you conspiratorially.Â
You nodded, grabbing his hand and sneaking away as the other seven continued their nonsense, too absorbed in it to realize the two of you had made like bandits for the bedroom.Â
Mingi didn't even scold you for getting distracted by your new ring as you straddled him and rode his cock for the first time as an engaged couple. In fact, you're pretty sure he only fucked you harder for it.Â
The two of you eventually collapsed onto the bed in a pile of tangled, sweaty limbs after round three, completely blissed out on the love you had for one another and excited for the future together that awaited you.Â
Jung Wooyoung: Sure, introducing your Harry Potter-obsessed boyfriend to the Lord of the Rings trilogy was a calculated risk. They had always been your favorite Christmas break movies and you wanted to share that tradition with Wooyoung. You had predicted he would like them, but what you hadn't been prepared for was just how much he liked them. You would be spending a belated Christmas with his family, postponed a few days due to his older brother's work schedule, so Christmas Eve and Day would be spent just the two of you at your apartment together.Â
Little did you know, Wooyoung had been planning.Â
The unmistakable noise of clattering pots and pans in the kitchen served as your alarm that morning, followed by a hushed curse under Wooyoungâs breath. You couldn't help but smile to yourself as you dragged your still sleep-laden body out of bed, donning Wooyoungâs discarded sweatshirt on your way into the kitchen.Â
âEverything okay, baby?â You asked, your voice still gravelly with sleep.Â
Wooyoung jumped at the sound of your voice, clearly deeply concentrated as he stirred the pot on the stove, âAh! Fuck! You scared me!âÂ
You chuckled, coming up behind him, wrapping your arms around his sinfully slutty waist, âSorry, kitten,â You apologized, âI just heard a noise and wanted to make sure you were alright.âÂ
âDammit.â Wooyoung pouted, âI wanted to wake you up with breakfast, Iâm sorry.â
You kissed his cheek, âThereâs nothing to apologize for. Want me to go back to bed so you can do your original plan?âÂ
Wooyoung turned around in your embrace, kissing you on the nose, âNo, baby, not unless you want to. Itâs almost done and I love your company.â
âOkay, but, umâŚâ You trailed off, hating to ask for something when he was already doing so much, âNevermind, Iâll do it.â
Wooyoung grabbed your wrist to stop you, âAbsolutely not! My baby is not lifting a finger today. What did you need, jagi?â
âI just wanted some coffee.â You smiled at him sheepishly.
âSay less.â Wooyoung beamed at you, planting a swift kiss to your lips before breaking off and moving to make you coffee.Â
An hour later, three cups of coffee in, Wooyoung was placing the last pastry on the table after putting a different dish he was preparing for later in the oven.Â
âIf you want me to die in a food coma, just say so.â You teased him as you sat down to indulge yourself on his delicious-smelling baked goods.Â
âNo, sweetheart, I just want you to enjoy yourself.â Wooyoung couldnât contain his smile as he watched your eyes roll back at the first bite of his creation.Â
âBaby. No offense but Iâm breaking up with you for this danish.â You joked.
Wooyoungâs jaw dropped in fake offense, âBut wait! That danish canât get you off!â
You shrugged, âAh, well. Good thing I have a vibrator.â
Wooyoung stuck his bottom lip out, âYou know good and well you like my dick better.â
âHmâŚâ You pretended to consider his words, âMy memory is hazy, maybe I need a refresher before I can answer that completely honestly.â
The Fellowship of the Ring played in the background as Wooyoung fucked you over the back of the couch, but neither of you were paying attention to the movie.Â
âAdmit it.â Wooyoung growled in your ear, âMy cock is the only thing that can truly satisfy you.â
âGod. Fuck, yes, Youngie. Your cock is the only thing now please fuck me harder.â You begged, sweat dripping down your brow as your boyfriend pounded into you painstakingly slowly, knowing he was driving you crazy.Â
âYes, maâam.â Wooyoung obeyed, picking up his pace until the two of you were panting as you were finally able to release.Â
The rest of the day passed much the same way, between eating, fucking, watching movies, exchanging gifts, and nodding off in between. Hours past sunset, the two of you were back in the kitchen, lethargic from your day of consuming calories and quickly turning around to burn them in the most hedonistic ways possible, washing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen. Wooyoung paused after he put away the last plate you handed him, âOh, wait! I forgot! I have one more gift for you!â
âWooyoung!â You protested, âYou got me more than enough!âÂ
âI really think youâll want this one, though.â Wooyoung winked at you before darting out of the kitchen only to return a few minutes later, hands behind his back, kneeling down in front of you, revealing the ring box he had grasped in his hands, âBaby, youâve been nothing but a bright spot since you came into my life. I want to spend the rest of it teasing you, spoiling you, and making you laugh. Will you make me the happiest Hobbit in the whole Shire and please marry me?â
You couldnât help but laugh at his silly proposal, âYes, but try again without the references.â
âOh, if that was an issue, Iâm afraid youâll hate what I engraved the ring with.â Wooyoung blushed.Â
âYou didnât.â You buried your face in your hands, âGood Lord. I should have never introduced you to Tolkien. Yes, Jung Wooyoung. Of course Iâll marry you.âÂ
âYeah?â He stood up quickly, opening the ring box to show you the most intricate, most you ring of all time, sure enough, engraved with âone ring to rule them allâ on the inside of the band.Â
âYes, honey.â You pulled him in for a kiss before he could fit the ring onto your finger, âI never want anyone else.âÂ
âIâm the happiest man alive.â Wooyoungâs smile reached from ear to ear.Â
âIâm incredibly happy, too.â You returned his smile, âBut we are not having a Lord of the Rings themed wedding.â
âRight. Harry Potter themed.â Wooyoung nodded, like this was the only answer.Â
âHell fucking no.â You tickled him, âWe can plan later, though. Right now I need to show you my secret cave.âÂ
âOoh, is Gollum in there?âÂ
âOnly if youâve decided to call your dick âGollumâ, then I guess so, yes.â
âI prefer to think of it as more of a Smeagol.â Wooyoung took your hand dragging you to the bedroom.Â
âJust please donât try to do the voice.â You pleaded.
He didn't oblige. You were going to marry the fuck out of him anyway.Â
Choi Jongho: You could always tell when Jongho was up to something, and this week, the week leading up to Christmas, was turning out to fall directly into that category. A mischievous glint sparkled in your boyfriendâs eye all week. The two of you had been dating for a few years now and you suspected he would propose at some point in the near future, but you honestly had no idea when. The man lived to keep you on your toes.Â
He didnât do it while the two of you celebrated Christmas with your family.Â
He didnât do it while the two of you celebrated Christmas with his family.Â
He didnât do it as the two of you opened your gifts to one another late at night on Christmas Day.Â
No. Why would he? He just spent the entirety of both days tricking you into thinking he might do it. He had handed you a conspicuously sized square box wrapped in paper. Earrings. They were beautiful, of course. He knew your taste well.Â
He had taken you on a scenic walk, kneeling down at the overlook, only to tie his shoe, laughing at your face, poorly disguised in shock, disappointment, then frustration, all in quick succession.Â
He had asked to make a toast at your familyâs Christmas dinner. Didnât propose.
Your boyfriend might be a little evil.Â
Christmas with him had always been somewhat like this, with him feeding you false leads about what gifts he was getting you, especially as it got closer to the actual holiday, only to have gotten you something better than what he was alluding to the whole time. On top of everything, of course he was an annoyingly good gift giver.Â
It was December 27th and you were nearly at your witâs end. The two of you were still off work and with everything temporarily back open between holidays, Jongho had planned something incredibly special for the two of you, much to your surprise. You honestly had no clue how he was so damn talented at hiding things from you. Maybe you just werenât as observant as you thought you were.Â
Dinner at a nice restaurant turned into a carriage ride around the park, ending with the two of you slow dancing in a gazebo to a song that he had written just for you.Â
âI mean every word, you know.â Jongho whispered as the gravity of his lyrics rushed over you. For as often as he was impish and playful, he was at other times, equally as genuine, vulnerable, and honest with you. It nearly broke your heart every time he shared that side of himself with you.Â
âJonghoâŚâ You didnât know what to say, âYou mean so much to me, baby.âÂ
âAnd you to me.â He answered, leaning in to kiss your cheek.Â
You waited with bated breath, thinking that this might be it, it might be time for him to finally pop the question, but instead, he simply carried on dancing with you.Â
You felt tears prick at the corner of your eyes, throat constricting with your frustration.Â
âWhatâs wrong, honey?â Jongho looked at you, concern evident on his face.
âNothing.â You lied. âSorry. Today has been wonderful, I just feel like Iâm going crazy.âÂ
âCrazy?â He cocked his eyebrow at you.Â
âYes, Jongho.â The tears fell genuinely now, âItâs probably stupid, I donât even know if itâs where weâre at, I thought I did, but now Iâm confused and I feel stupid for ever thinking it-â
âThinking, what, baby?â Jongho pushed the hair off of your forehead.Â
âAll week youâve been doing little things that I keep misinterpreting as you being about to propose. Itâs stupid. Iâm probably just delusional.â You sobbed then, pulling away from him.Â
âOh, no, sweetheart.â Jongho pulled you back to his chest, âIâm so sorry. I was just being a problem to mess with you. I never should have gone this far. Youâre not crazy, though. I promise.â Jongho kissed your forehead before kneeling in front of you, reaching into his jacket pocket, âIâve had this for about three months now. Itâs just a weird tradition in my group to propose on Christmas so I wanted to make our anniversary different from theirs. Iâm so sorry, darling. I want nothing more than to call you my wife. Iâve known I wanted to marry you since our first date. Iâve worked to be the man you deserve every day since then and I never plan on stopping, though I donât see myself as ever reaching that goal, because you deserve better than I can ever give you. But I never want to stop in my pursuit. If youâre not too terribly mad at me, will you please consider? Marry me, my love.âÂ
The tears streaming down your face took on a whole different meaning at his words, âI feel so silly.â You sobbed, âBut yes. Yes, please, Jongho. Iâd be so happy to.â
It took the loud clearing of a passer byâs throat to break the two of you out of your public makeout session, both of you agreeing that your activities should move back inside your apartment.Â
The way he took you apart so devotedly, so lovingly, bringing you wave after wave of pleasure on his mouth, his hands, and his gorgeous cock that night made you more sure than ever of your decision to marry him. He kept you on your toes and you wouldnât have it any other way.

Itâs here. You know it is. You look in every secret hiding place you can think of, but you canât it anywhere. Itâs Christmas Eve and youâre convinced heâs going to propose. Sungcheol had been hinting at an engagement for months. The two of you have been together for almost 4 years. Itâs time. You were sure that you both were on the same page. But whereâs the ring? You just want a peek.
Between the 10+ years he had spent with Jeonghan and being your boyfriend for years, Sungcheol had learned how to deal with a snoop. He knew youâd check. So he thought he would leave something for you to find.
âWhere the HELL is this ring!?â After flipping the 12th pair of underwear, you were frustrated. Determined to find a ring you flip over pair 13, and apparently today itâs your lucky number. Bingo. Ring box. Excitement floods your veins. Just a tiny peak. You take a deep breath and open the boxâŚrevealing a sparkling pair of diamond earrings. Theyâre gorgeous and probably cost a small fortune, but you canât help the disappointment that you feel. Youâre incredibly hurt and confused but Sungcheol will be home any minute, youâve gotta get it together.
âHey babyâ Sungcheol greets as he enters the house. The moment he sees you he knows you had found the earrings in his drawer. Part of him feels bad. He never wants to be the reason his girl is upset, but this was a lesson you needed to learn. He makes his way over to where youâre lounging on the couch and places a kiss on your forehead. âHeyâ you half hardly reply. Youâre trying your best to remain indifferent but your feelings are hurt. S.Coups doesnât question your mood, he knows the cause. He plops down next to you and grabs a few goldfish from your bowl. Despite your mood, you try to relax and enjoy the rest of your evening with your boyfriend. In the back of your mind youâre still thinking about, what not finding a ring means for your relationship. If he doesnât want to marry you now, after all these years and the long talk the two of you had about a life together on your last trip to Jeju. Will he ever?
*Christmas Morning*
You wake up on Christmas morning both thrilled and anxious. Your best friend had flown in from out of town to spend Christmas with you. You make your way down the hall, to the guest bedroom where sheâs staying. You knock before waiting for her response. When she welcomes you in, you plop yourself on her bed heaving a big sigh. âWhatâs the matter with youâ she asks as she turns to rummage through her suitcase. You stare up at the ceiling for a second before speaking, âItâs Christmas and my boyfriend hates meâ. She turns and looks at you puzzled. âWhat are you talking about, that boy is obsessed with youâ she gets up and shoves you over so she can lay beside you. You give her a sad smile, âApparently heâs only obsessed for now. Forever with me isnât appealing to him.â She looks over at you and resists the urge to hit you. Instead she simply says, âYou donât even believe yourself.â You donât have the energy to fight her so you stand and ask if sheâs ready for breakfast.
After breakfast, the three of you move to the living room to open gifts. This is the part youâve been dreading. You watch with a small smile as your best friend opens her presents. The three of you has played rock paper scissors. She won, Then Sungcheol, you were last. Once she finishes S.coups pipes up. âOkay, my turn.â Sungcheol unwraps his new watch and looks at you with a big dimpled smiled. âThank you my heart, I love it. Okay Baby, your turn.â
This is it. You can do this. You begin unwrapping the box you had stolen a glance at last night. You will your hands not to shake as you begin to pry it open. Your mouth flies open in shock at the diamond ring inside. Your eyes raise from the box in your hand to Sungcheol who has shifted from his place beside you to on his knee in front of you. âAngel, will you say yes to forever? Will you say yes to late nights with crying babies and early mornings with teething toddlers? trips around the world and nights on the couch at home? Will you say yes to the rest of our lives together? Baby I wanna build our life together from the ground up. Will you marry me?â Sungcheol doesnât get a chance to blink before you launch yourself into his arms. âYES!â you squeal, before burying your face in his neck and crying. Right now youâre to happy to try and figure out where the this ring came from. You were sure youâd checked everywhere.
Later that night youâre staring at your newest accessory, when something occurs to you. âCoupsie, where did you have the ring at?â Sungcheol turns to you with a raised eyebrow. âWow. You gave yourself up that quick huh?â Your eyes go wide as you realize your mistake. âI- waitâŚwhat?â He shifts his body closer to you and clears his throat. âAfter we had that talk in Jeju about getting married, I immediately started looking at rings. I knew that meant that you would also start snooping for a ring in the house.â He pinches your side playfully before speaking again. âSo, I went and looked at rings for a month after work before I found the perfect ring. I went online and had it ordered to the store near your best friendâs house. Sheâs been keeping it with her this whole time.â Your eyes tear up at his confession. You feel guilty for the way you had felt prior to his proposal. âWhen I couldnât find the ring. I was convinced we werenât on the same page, and you didnât want to marry me.â you confess. Sungcheol sighs before pulling you into his arms. âI also figured that would happen. But I needed you to be surprised. You deserve to feel special. I want to make plans for you. Just relax, let me take the lead sometimes. Iâve got you.â You look at him with a soft smile, eyes brimming with tears. Never in your life had you felt so seen. You snuggle closer to him and shut your eyes. Sending out an internal âthank youâ to whoever fucked up that sidewalk.

People can draw Jimmy if they want, it's fiction, a drawing. He is not doing anything bad here. You guys have a problem with distinguishing fiction and reality. We know Jimmy is bad. Christmas love 𦹠Jak Crawford !
summary. itâs christmas at the bearman residence and there is a new addition this year, ollieâs best friend, and your boyfriend.
word count. 525+
disclaimers. fluff, reader is ollies sister!
bea speaks. this is my xmas present to my bff @lechrts i love you bae, i hope this makes your christmas eve better ^_^
âJak, you canât just leave the star crooked,â you said, head tilting as you stood back to study the Christmas tree.
The soft twinkle of Christmas lights illuminated the room, casting a warm glow across the pine needles and carefully placed ornaments. You crossed your arms, raising an eyebrow at Jak, who wobbly balanced on a red step stool.
âItâs not crooked!â Jak protested, leaning back to admire his handiwork. His dark curls fell over his forehead as he squinted his eyes, trying to convince himself it was straight.
âItâs definitely crooked,â Ollie called out from the couch where he laid back lazily. He was sprawled out with his phone in hand, sparing a glance at the tree. âAnd if you fall, do not expect me to catch you mate.â
Jak let out a dramatic sigh, stepping away from the stool with exaggerated caution. He turned to you, âAm I doing this for you or your brother? Because Iâm starting to feel the judgement coming off of both of you.â
Biting back a smile, you walk over to stand beside him, your hand resting on his bicep. âMe, obviously. Ollie just loves to critique. Itâs all heâs good at.â
âHeyâwhat?â
Jak leaned against the brick wall that surrounded the fireplace, arms folding over his chest, a small grin tugging at his lips. âFor someone who claims they love me, youâre quick to play both sides.â
You pause, tapping your chin. âWell, I did just say something backhanded to him.. but I suppose Iâm like Switzerland.â
You move away from your boyfriend, stepping up onto the steps tool and adjusting the star. Then, stepping down to admire the work. âMen are so incompetent.â You whisper under your breath.
The boys eyebrows raise, âwhat?â
From the couch, Ollie lets out a snort. âSwitzerland wouldnât have dragged me and Jak into the living room to âhelpâ. Nor make Jak do the most decorating.â
Jak shot him a playful glare, pointing a finger at the tall Brit in mock accusation. âYou didnât even warn me about all this, man. âCome over for Christmasâ You said, âitâll be oh so funâ you also said.â
Ollie smirks. âConsider it your initiation into the family!â
Before Jak could retort, your motherâs voice rang out from the kitchen. âKids! Dinners ready!â
Thats when the scent of fresh food and bakery hit your nose and your eyes lit up. You clap your hands and Jak loops an arm around your shoulders. The two of you walk behind your brother, smiling.
Right before you enter the dining room, Jak stops, which causes you to halt as well. âHey,â he starts softly, âI do appreciate being invited. I know this is a big holiday for your family.â
His smile was almost shy, a faint pink spreading across his cheeks. It makes your smile widen and your heart flutters. Leaning in, you kiss him gently, letting your lips linger on his for a moment longer.
âIâm just glad you wanted to come.â You hum once you pull away. âI love you, and you are always welcome.â
âI love you too.â He murmurs, placing a kiss to your forehead.
Then, you both make your way into the dining room, the sounds of laughter from your family mixed with the quiet hum of Christmas tunes in the background. This would be the best Bearman Christmas, ever.
likes, comments, and reblogâs are all appreciated. lmk if youâd like to be tagged in future posts.

đ All I Want for Christmas is Lou! đ
As part of this amazing event here are some of my slightly personal and genuine feelings about Buck, Tommy, their relationship and this wonderful community! â¨
@alliwantforchristmasislou
As a bisexual woman in her 30sâBuck discovering this other side to his sexuality, to who he is (in his 30s) and Tommy, an older gay man who lived for so long in the closet, but was finally being himselfâlooking more comfortable and free, meant a lot to me. Especially seeing that on a tv show as big as 911.
Iâm not in the closet but Iâm also not completely out. I tried to tell someone very close to me I was Bi and instead was shoved back in the closet. Because they just couldnât fathom or think about that in relation to me. Even though I was still the same person I always was. So the Bucktommy relationship meant a lot to me. From the beginning, the relationship was sweet and caring, communicative and so understanding. Also so completely normal and genuine. It was honestly very uplifting and hopeful to see. It made me feel like I could get my happy ending. Maybe not right now but one day. Especially because this person was also watching the show. And I hoped seeing positive representation for bisexuality and a same sex couple would help them understand me better.
Of course, bucktommy led me to this wonderful community. It has been truly life changing. Iâve been in many fandoms before, always a lurker, never an active participant. It always felt scary, some of the bigger louder accounts unapproachable. Itâs honestly incredible how different bucktommy nation is. I felt so welcomed from the beginning. Even when I was just reblogging or commenting on people's amazing posts and stories. And soon I found myself feeling brave, being myself, contributing to the community by making edits and when I doubted I could even write (despite wanting to so badly) I got so much encouragement and support. And Iâm so so thankful for that. I havenât felt this motivated in such a long time. Iâm creating again! And thatâs a wonderful gift you have all given me, all of you and BuckTommy â¤ď¸ Not to mention being there for each other as we went through that breakup and the terrible writing of that episode.
So for 2025, I hope we can see Tommy on our screens again. I hope he finds his happiness and love, because he deserves it. I hope we get to see him heal. And I hope we can continue to see Louâs thoughtful portrayal of him and the love and care he puts into his acting, especially for a character that means so much to us. I also hope Buck can continue living his truth and above all that we get to see him fight for love and get his forever. Finally, I hope we get to see this amazing relationship flourish and grow once again â¨
As part of this event I donated to the Trevor Project because Iâve always been grateful for what they do đŤśđť
And so, #alliwantforchristmasislou
And many thanks to the creation of this event. This is an amazing initiative and Iâm happy I get to be a part of it.

Thank you so much for all the prayers! <3 The surgery went well, and she is recovering in the hospital overnight with plans to come home around noon Christmas Day.
While removing some of her lymph nodes, however, they found micro cancer cells in one of them. This means that there is a potential that she may need radiation as well, depending on what the tests show, so if you think of her, continued prayers would be welcome.
Seriously, though, it has given me a sense of peace just seeing the reblogs, likes, and kind words from even people I've never met before. I really am grateful. <3
My sister's surgery to remove her cancer is tomorrow morning at 7:30 (Christmas Eve). Prayers for her, the doctors, and her two boys would be appreciated! <3

Hi! I really wanna do artfight but havenât figured out how to send anything can u maybe explain? đĽşđđ
Sure! Artfight is an online art-trading event that happens for the entire month of July, on artfight.netâ every year, two âthemesâ are revealed, and participating artists will pick one of them to be on that âteam.â You can upload reference pictures and explanations of your ocs to your profile page on artfight, and throughout the month, artists can draw other usersâ characters and send them as âattacks,â ideally drawing characters from artists on the opposite team to earn points for their own team (though many artists (including myself) will just join/participate to draw their friendsâ ocs and characters they think would be fun to draw, regardless of the teams)!
If youâre trying to figure out how to send an attack, you should be able to find the âAttacksâ option on the drop down on the top right of the artfight home page (under the âManageâ section, not âMessagesâ), and on that page you should be able to select âSubmit New Attack!â from there, youâll fill out anything you want to say about the attack, upload your images (as well as a 200x200 pixel thumbnail)l what âlevelâ of drawing it is (how much you colored it, if you shaded it, if thereâs a background, etc), and the website will calculate how many points youâve earned for your team based on all of those categories and wether or not the artist youâre attacking is on your team or not!
Unfortunately, thereâs only a few more days left in this yearâs artfight, so you wonât be able to earn points for your team after August 3rd, but nothing can stop you from drawing othersâ OCs for fun and posting them here after the event! Or you can always wait for next years fight if you want to take part in the team fight itself! But that being said you can join at any time even if itâs just for one week or one day or whatever!
#This is a little bit of a quick rundown but hopefully this is helpful!! Happy artfighting!!#That being said if anyone was hoping to attack the dbhc guys please know you can draw them literally whenever and Iâll still be a freak <3#Dbhc fanart is always welcome and I try to like or reblog it so feel free to @ me :D#Or if you were interested in attacking any of my other ocs I would be happy to post them here!#But yes! Happy artfighting! Even though thereâs only a few days leftâ Dont feel like youâve run out of time!! :D#You donât have to start at the beginning of the month! you can join whenever <3#Ask#3st3smt

I keep having the same conversation with different people, which is some version of 'if only the democrats had done XYZ that appeals to my specific demographic echo-chamber.' I'm sure there are valid points to be made, but as one of those generation straddling xennials or whatever, I think there's a lot to be said for the fact that we don't always hear what other people in other groups are saying. Maybe it's a thing that you think would dramatically motivate your cohort, but it is also deeply alienating to a different part of the voter base. And if your cohort is not of a demographic that usually turns out in large numbers to vote, it's hard to expect any campaign to prioritize your priorities. It's a bit of a catch-22.
I mean *deep, soul-wearying sigh* a lot of this is just a two-party problem, isn't it? I'm fucking tired.
#tw election#cw election#obviously not letting anyone reblog this cause i don't want strangers telling me how wrong i am#like i said#maybe i am horribly wrong#so if the people i know have thoughts i welcome them#but also this is just fucking exhausting#like i don't think bernie is wrong#but also anything radical would just be labeled as socialist and dismissed right?#like once you're in the fox-news spin cycle it's easy to dismiss radical government programs as trying to take something from you#even if you should be identifying as working class#maybe i'm just not getting it#i'm probably just not getting it

A little unpopular opinion on something I've seen happen more commonly throughout November/December and wanted to address quickly for my own blog: Please never hesitate to reblog anything from me. You see me reblogging a sentence starter list that you like? Go for it and reblog it from me directly without any pressure on you whatsoever to send anything into me before doing so. You like a GIF-set or musing that I reblogged? Nab it from me, it'll brighten my day to see that we share an interest in something. I like to see interaction between me and anyone who follows me. I like to see that little activity notification light up.
Honestly, it simply reminds me that we're all part of a community, and more specifically, a fandom that consists of characters and nations that we all came to love and then share that amongst ourselves. And honestly, seeing a reblog happen shortly after me but it's from the source, creates (in my opinion) an odd sense of chosen disconnect between people that can feel awkward, it's as if we're walking on eggshells as to not rub each other the wrong way. But what's wrong about going 'Hey, I see what you reblogged, I like it too!', it even gives you potential common ground to start a conversation. We're a community, and I don't know about you, but I like seeing people interact with each other beyond merely threads and notes. It's the little things that matter, after all.
#[ psa. ] seeing isn't always believing. and if you can't trust your eyes; you certainly can't trust rumors.#[ i feel like this whole 'reblog karma' rule has scared people so much into stopping with behavior that... ]#[ i think was healthy. interaction; no matter how small; makes it so much easier and comfortable for people to... ]#[ interact because you almost become 'familiar faces' through these tiny little asks. ]#[ the amount of times i've entered dms kindly/respectfully after someone's reblogged something from me-- ]#[ and the person and i proceeded to just gush about the reblogged fanart in question. or something similar. ]#[ which then makes any further ooc interaction so much easier and nicer-- the initial anxiety people may face is lessened. ]#[ because you've already found common ground. ]#[ like i don't mean to force anyone to reblog from me-- but it's like it's so obvious so often when people... ]#[ see something from you but then reblog it from the source. i dunno if it's just me but it feels odd. ]#[ it feels as if someone thinks reblogging from me would step on my toes or rub me the wrong way and i don't see?? ]#[ why that's a thing? it's so silly. reblog from me; feel welcome to do so. we all love this fandom. we all love our characters. ]#[ and each others' characters. it's why we interact; right? ]#[ any way. hi-- yes. i just mean never feel odd to reblog from me. if anything i encourage it. ]#[ i'll smile and nod at you in my activity; and you'll also pique my interest to be like 'hey! good taste đ ]#[ any way; i hope people are having a good weekend! ]
