Nat walks into the bedroom to find you standing in front of the mirror by the closet. You've already got your black suit pants on and your suit jacket is lying on the bed with your tie. She watches for a few moments while you work on buttoning up your gray dress shirt and you quirk a brow at her in the reflection.
âSee something you like, Omega?â you tease
She smirks at you before taking a few steps forward, âOh I most certainly do, but Iâd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to seeing you in your security uniform againâ
You turn around and look into her eyes, âOh, is that so?â
âMhm, what can I say? Iâm a sucker for a girl in uniformâ
Right now you want nothing more than to smash your lips against your mates and spend the rest of the evening and well into the night worshiping her. But you're getting dressed up for a reason, and that reason prevents you from doing anything
âDamn Tony Stark and his stupid galasâ
Nat chuckles, âDonât worry lyubov'(love), weâll have time to do whatever it is you're thinking about this weekendâ
âIâll hold you to that, Nattyâ you tell her, sending a wink her way
Her cheeks turn the adorable shade of pink that you've come to love, âHow about you hold me?â
You chuckle at her, but indulge her and wrap your arms around her, careful to situate her bump appropriately, âYou alright?â
âMhmâ she mumbles against your neck, âJust going to miss you tonightâ
âIâll miss you too detka(baby), but I should be home before you know it with Yelena and Kate here to keep you companyâ
She chuckles a bit, âI know they're going to be here to make sure Dima and I stay safe, but I honestly think Iâm the one watching them tonightâ
âWell, Clint canât keep them out of trouble all the timeâ you joke earning a smile
âOh donât I know it, especially because he encourages themâ
Just then the doorbell rings, signaling the arrival of the two being talked about. Nat pulls herself away from you and you watch her head out of the room before going back to getting ready. Down the hall you can hear the excited voices of your mates sister and her friend as they greet her, and soon the voices get even more excited as they walk into the living room and spot Dima.
Your pup was equally as excited as you could hear him cooing and repeatedly asking for his Aunt Lena to pick him up. You assume she must do so as soon his giggles are echoing around the house along with a few of Kates. Your mate takes this moment to slip away from them and back to you.
âYou ready lyubov'(love)? After work traffic will be pretty heavy right now, donât want you to be late.â
âYeah, just gotta get my shoes onâ you assure her with a smile
She smiles back before a slight pout overtakes her features, âIâll miss you tonightâ
âIâll miss you too, my Omegaâ you tell her as you make your way over to her, âI shouldnât be home too late though since this is a benefactor party. Midnight at the latestâ
âBut I suppose youâll tell me not to wait upâ
âI think Iâve become too predictable with you.â you chuckle, âTrue Iâd prefer you to get your rest, especially since your carrying two little ones- â
âShhhâ she cuts you off, âif Yelena finds out through your big mouth instead of from me later, Iâll make you take the couch tonightâ
âOkay okay, geez.â you laugh, âMy point was, yes Iâd like you to sleep as much as possible. But I know you donât sleep well without me and I also know that with those two goofballs out there that a late night is most likely going to happenâ
Nat smiles again, âWell, you can at least take comfort in the fact that Dima will be going to sleep at his usual timeâ
You laugh again, âOh good, at least heâll be getting his restâ
She giggles and you finally wrap your arms around her. She nuzzles her face into the crook of your neck as she wraps her arms around you in return, and a soft purr escapes her as your hand comes to rest on her belly. The two of you take a moment to just enjoy each other's embrace, letting the sound of her purrs fill the space.
After a few minutes you reluctantly pull back from her, âI should get going loveâ
âDrive safe, and have a good nightâ she tells you before leaning in for a kiss
You of course indulge her in this and kiss her back before you both head out to the living room. You exchange quick greetings with the two Betas and thank them for coming to spend time with your Omega while you have to work, and then you make your way over to the pup. You affectionately ruffle his hair and kiss his forehead as you say goodbye to him and though there's no need to as he's always been well behaved, you remind him to be good for his Mama.
Your mate walks with you as you head to the garage and the two of you share in another quick hug and kiss, âIâll see you later baby, have fun with your sister and donât worry too much about meâ
âIâll try. Just text me when you get there and when you're leaving for home, pleaseâ
You nod, âOf course my Omegaâ
And with that you hop in your car and pull out of the driveway. Natasha watches the garage door shut before she returns to the living room, where she finds her sister bouncing Dima on her lap while Kate is indulging Liho in her attention seeking by playing with one of her toys with her. Nat canât help but chuckle as she joins them on the couch
âSetra(sister), how are you feeling?â Yelena asks, shifting her focus but still bouncing the pup
âIâm good all things considered, this pregnancy hasnât been as rough as Dimas was. At least so far. Iâve had morning sickness a few times and I of course have the normal body aches and pains but Y/n is really good at keeping everything I need to ease those nearbyâ
âThat's good! Iâm glad your Alpha is caring for you well!â Kate exclaims, and Yelena nods in agreement, âHave you guys gone to find out what you're having yet?â
Natasha canât help the wide smile that breaks out across her face, and one matching it shows up on Yelena's face, â Well come on, tell us!â
âWeâre having two pups, both girls!â
âOh setra(sister), that's wonderful!â Yelena exclaims, wrapping her one arm around her as the other secures Dima, âAnd did your Alpha like this news?â
âShe's just as excited as I am, If not moreâ Nat laughs, âIâve had to help her calm down a few times while weâre putting together their nursery in our room. She doesnât read the instructions properly in her excitementâ
âSounds just like what I witnessed with Clint when Laura was with Nathanielâ Kate laughs
âMight be worseâ Nat admits, âBecause this is Y/ns first time getting to care for me and prepare for pups with meâ
Yelena gives her a soft look, âI've never seen you so happyâ
âWell, I have everything Iâve ever wanted. Dima and I are safe here with Y/n as our Alpha, and she's so good to us. She's everything I knew she would be, and more. She gave us little Liho and now weâre growing our familyâ she states, rubbing her belly, âI couldnât ask for a better mate, or a better lifeâ
âIâm glad you got this sestra(sister), I truly am. Seeing you so happy, thrills meâ
Kate nods in agreement, âIt's good to see you smile again.â
âThank you both. Now then, I can hear my boys tummy growling. Lets get dinner started, shall we?â
âOkay, but you are letting Kate Bishop and I do most of the work. You just tell us what needs doneâ
As your mate begins to prepare dinner with the two Betas you are still on your way to the city. The drive isnât too long, but you do feel a bit restless. Likely because this will be the longest you've been apart from your mate and pup. The knowledge that her sister and friend are there with them does at least bring you comfort, as you know she's safe. But still the anxiety of being apart from them remains. You decide to turn the radio on in the hopes that it either calms you or distracts you. It seems to work, for now at least, and you drive on with a sense of ease.
But outside your house, there is indeed a reason for this anxiety to linger. Because parked just down the street from where your mate currently cooks with the Betas sits a car. And in that car is a very familiar and unwelcome Alpha along with two Alpha friends of his.
âAre you sure you donât wanna just grab him tonight? I mean we watched the Alpha leave, and two Betas aren't a threat at all.â the Alpha in the front passenger seat says
âFor the final time, yes I am sure.â Bruce answers, his grip on the steering wheel tightening
âBut why?â the other Alpha in the backseat questions, âIsnât your Omega in there?â
Bruce growls, âThat bitch has me so angry right now that if I saw her, Iâm likely to snap. And while Iâd love to snuff the life out of her beloved new mate, that's not a fate I want for Natasha.â
It falls silent for a while before one of the Alphas speaks up again, âSo we just watch then?â
âYes, we learn their routines. And we wait.â Bruce continues, âAs soon as Y/n leaves this house with my son, she's as good as dead and Dima is as good as mine again.â
The car continues to sit there for a while but does eventually pull away and leave, coincidently around the same time you had texted your mate about your arrival at Stark Industries. You're now in the employee elevator heading on up to the floor the party is being held on. As soon as the doors open you spot Tony, wearing his signature shades even though he's indoors. He spots you too
âY/n!! Good to see you!!â he shouts, causing Pepper, the chef, Happy, and a few of the other security members to look your way
âHey Tony!â you greet with a wave and make your way over to him, âHow many are we expecting tonight?â
His face scrunches up in thought, âWell I had a couple hundred invites sent out, but they all included an additional plus one, so really, could be a hundred could be triple that!â
âOh, wonderfulâ you mutter, graciously taking the tablet Pepper passes to you
âThis is a layout of knights event, Happy already added his suggestions on where tonights additionally security should be placed, you just have to sign off on itâ
âOkay great. Iâll look it over.â you assure them, âAre there any guests we know of that will for sure be here that we need to keep an eye on?â
âJust Justin Hammer, as usualâ Tony says, âKeep him away from any of my tech. That includes computers and tablets. As usual.â
You nod, âRight. Let me just look this over then and we can get everyone in place before the first guest arrivesâ
âWonderfulâ
A few hours later and the gala event is in full swing. The floor is now filled with rich and well off guests who are mingling and drinking while a live band plays off in the one corner. Servers have been rushing around all night to provide everyone with enough drinks and the bar alone was not meant to handle this sheer number of people, and hors dâoeuvres have been flowing out of the kitchen at a steady pace.
Thankfully it's been business as usual and nothing out of place or suspicious has occurred. You're still on alert though as it is quite literally your job to be, but you must admit that you do still have lingering anxiety about your family. You're able to push past it though, and focus on the crowd before you.
Back at home your Omega has just finished tucking Dima into bed and is now preparing to watch a movie with the two Betas. Kate has a large bowl of popcorn on her lap while Yelena has some nachos.
âWhere did you even get those?â the redhead asks with a chuckle
âI made sure to bring them!â Yelena exclaims, âI was in the mood for them tonight. There's still more out in my bag if you want some, or if Kate Bishop doesnât share the popcornâ
âHey, I can share!â she exclaims, âBesides the bag I made this from was from Nats pantry, If i didnât share Iâd be a terrible guestâ
Yelena shrugs, âI just know how you are with snacks thats allâ
âOh? And how am I with snacks, Yelena?â
The blonde gulps as she tries to take her foot back out of her mouth and looks to her older sister for help. But the Omega has no plans on getting in the middle of this, âWell, I think it's time I go make myself some nachosâ
Natasha can feel her sister's glare in her back as she walks out of the room and she chuckles when she sees Liho down by her feet, joining her on her trek to the kitchen. Once they reach the kitchen counter she stops to pet the adorable furball, who is quickly growing, before grabbing a plate for her nachos. By the time she got her plate ready and walks back into the room, whatever words that may have been spoken have already been exchanged and Nat has to bite her tongue to avoid teasing Yelena for looking like a kicked puppy or teasing Kate for looking so smug.
âAlright, what Bond film are we starting with?â
A few more hours and a few Bond films later Natasha can feel herself getting a bit antsy. Its growing later and is nearly the time she lays down for sleep, her body is growing tired but her mind is well aware of the lack of her Alphas presence.
âWhy donât you go get your blanket from your nest, that should have enough of Y/ns scent on it to comfort youâ Kate offers, having smelled the slight discomfort coming off your Omega
âYeah, good ideaâ she mumbles, getting up to go get it. While grabbing it she spots the two stuffies you'd bought her sitting in her nest as well and she finds herself reaching out for the lion one
When she returns and gets all snuggled up under the blanket neither Beta mention the stuffed animal that now sits on the Omegas lap getting cuddled against her, but she's aware of the small knowing smiles that appear on their faces.
Back at the Gala it's finally time for donations to be made, which means you and the rest of the guests will likely have to hear a few speeches from both Tony and the benefactors. Thankfully your boss was usually able to avoid being long winded, but the others werenât as reliable.
As the third donator drones on you spot some unusual movement off to the side of the crowd. A young man seems to be slipping past everyone, making his way towards the front where the stage and Tony are. You arenât alerted right away, as perhaps he was with the press and trying to get a better shot or something. But the longer you look at him, you find yourself unable to find any sort of press badge or even a camera
âAll hands, be prepared. I have a fellow acting strange here on the right side of the crowd, moving upâ
Your ear piece is full of other security members saying they understood followed by the ones closest to that region saying their eyes were on him and they were ready to move at your notice. Having not actually done anything yet and still being a ways away from Tony you tell them to just remain vigilant for now. But then he's lifting his suit off his chest with his left hand and his right makes a move to go into the space just created, as if he was reaching for something concealed.
âMove in now!â you order, quickly breaking away from your own position in order to form a barrier in his line of sight to Tony
As soon as your infront of him his eyes widen but he doesnât have the time to do or say anything before your men are grabbing him and forcing him to the ground. The crowds attention is of course grabbed by this and their eyes all fall on the scene instead of what was happening at the front of the room.
âNothing to worry about, please carry on!â you assure, sending your boss a thumbs up
He nods, âWell, Iâm sure whatever my security just dealt with was riveting but please folks, let's get back to the matter at handâ
The gala goes back to its regular activities as you and a few men escort the now hancuffed man out of the room and to a small room where you can question him and hold him until you figure out if the police need to be notified.
Your men sit him down a bit harshly at the small table as you speak, âWhat the hell were you thinking out there?â
The man remains silent and his gaze shifts away from you and down to the floor. That was fine with you. He didnât have to explain himself, you could simply search him and figure out what he had on him and piece together his motives. But as you reach for his suit he starts to squirm
âHey, back off! You canât touch me! I know my rights!â
âThen you're well aware that its within the law for a private security team to search you once your in custody to determine you have no weapons and pose no threatâ
This proves to only upset him further however and without warning his leg shoots up and his foot hits you in the gut. The sound of all the air leaving your lungs fills the room as you stumble backwards a bit and without saying a word your men move to hold him down.
âGet off me! I said let go!â
You scoff at his behavior and again reach for his suit. You pull it back and reach inside, expecting to find a shoulder slung holster and pistol which is exactly what you find. You whistle as you pull the gun out
âMy my, what have we here?â it's a rhetorical question, which you answer yourself while checking to be sure the safety is on before removing the magazine, âA Glock 17 huh, oh and look at that, you even had one in the chamber ready to fire. Boys sit tight here, Iâm going to call in the police to deal with this guyâ
After a few more hours, half of which was taken up by paperwork, police paperwork and an interview, the gala finally seems to be winding down. Majority of the guests are either making their way out or are currently grabbing their belongings to make their way out. And a sigh of relief slips past your lips. Tonight had been more daunting than you anticipated, especially with someone actually managing to get a firearm inside despite all measures taken. If you hadnât spotted him, you're unsure how well his plan to shoot Tony would have gone and that makes a chill run through you.
But you had stopped him and that's what mattered. Now all that was on your mind was getting back home to your Omega. You wanted nothing more than to just get nice and cozy in her nest and hold her close. And this was apparently written on your face
âYou know, you donât have to come in for a whileâ Happy says as he comes to stand beside you, âI can handle the set up, and its easy enough to just email you plans to double checkâ
You ponder it for only a second, âNo, this is my job Happy and I can handle it.â
âKid, this job has a bit of danger to it, as we were reminded tonight, and you have a pregnant Omega at home. What would she think of the situation you just had to deal with?â
You sigh, âSheâd probably panicâ
âRight. And my guess is that she's already nervous enough when you just leave the house for groceries, let alone your job.â your silence on the matter proves his point and he continues, âTake some time off. Be there for her during the pregnancy and give her that piece of mind. At least until the pups are born, but hell id wait until they were a year if I were youâ
âI canât just take a year off from work!â you exclaim
âYou wonât be taking it off, youâd just work remotely. Do everything from your home office instead of being the hands on guy here. And hey, if it works well for you, being a family Alpha now, you might just wanna make that a permanent positionâ
You think about what he's saying, and it does make sense. You have a family now, why put yourself in harm's way and stress your mate out by doing so. And why stress you both out by being apart from her when you really didnât need to be
âYeah, you're right. Iâll talk to Tony about it before I head home tonight. Thanks Happyâ
âAnytime kidâ
Finally you're pulling into your own driveway. It's an hour later than you had told your mate to expect you, but you know Nat wonât hold that against you. Especially when Tonys parties are known to be long.
You're greeted by Liho as you enter the house and quickly reach down to pet her, âMissed you too little oneâ
You can still hear a movie playing in the living room, which puzzles you a bit as you hadnât gotten a response from your mate when you said you were on your way home so you had expected to find everyone in bed. You stop petting Liho, much to her displeasure, and make your way further into the house. There's no sound to indicate that anyone is even home, let alone watching the film and you honestly start to worry a bit. But that all goes away once you actually enter the living room, and a soft smile spreads across your features as you take in the scene before you.
A Bond movie is still playing on the tv but all three of the women that had once been watching it are now fast asleep on the couch. Yelena is in between your mate and Kate, who both have their heads resting on the blonds shoulders, and Nat is all wrapped up in your blanket from her nest. She even has her lion stuffie cuddled up against her chest. You canât imagine how hard you being away from home must have been for her considering how hard it was for you tonight.
You take a moment to just watch the three before you reach out to cup Nats cheek, âlyubov'(love), Iâm homeâ
Her eyes slowly open and she looks at you in the most adorable groggy way, âAlpha?â
âHi babyâ
She smiles and reaches out for you, âMissed youâ
âMissed you tooâ you reply, instantly wrapping your arms around her, âWhy donât we get you into your nestâ
She hums in agreement so you shift your hold on her, one arm bracing her back as the other slides under her legs. You lift her with ease and she wraps the blanket closer as she snuggles into you. You both continue down the hall in a comforting silence, but when you attempt to set her down in the nest alone she looks at you quizzically
âYouâre joining me, right?â
You chuckle, âI will be. I just gotta make sure your sister and Kate make it up to the spare room. And Iâve also gotta get out of this suitâ
âOkayâ she huffs, âJust donât take too longâ
âI wonât, love. But go to sleep if you need to, donât wait on meâ you tell her as you slip back out of the room
You head back down the hall and into the living room to find a groggy Yelena looking at you, âY/n?â
âHey Lenaâ
She blinks away some of her sleepiness, âWhat time is it?â
âTime for you and Kate to head upstairs and crash in the guest roomâ you reply, making her chuckle
âYeah, okay. Go ahead off to bed with my sister, Iâll take care of sleepy headâ You nod and turn to leave but halfway down the hall you have to hold back laughter as you hear the sound of a pillow hitting something followed by Yelena whisper shouting, âKate Bishop! Up!â
Now back in your room you find your mate checking in on your pup via the monitor, but her attention quickly shifts to you, âDimas still in a deep sleepâ
âGood, because sending those two up near him may bite us in the ass otherwiseâ
She chuckles and watches you fondly as you change out of your work clothes and into your pajamas, âHow was the gala?â
âIt went well. I think he earned more than double what he asked for in donations. It will be nice to see what internship programs he builds with the funds and what charities heâll donate toâ You answer, finally climbing into the nest behind her
Her own hand covers yours as it comes to rest on the swell of her belly, âNo security concerns?â
You let out a sigh, knowing you had to tell her, âIâm telling you this because I donât want you seeing it on the news tomorrow and panickingâ
She stiffens slightly, and her grasp on your hand tightens, âWhat happened?â
âThere was a guy acting suspicious and heading towards Tony. I stopped him and my men detained him. He had a gun. Was probably planning on shooting Tony on stageâ She immediately turns around to face you and her hands cup your face. You can instantly sense her mild distress and do your best to soothe her, âNothing bad happened though, Iâm okay. Everyone isâ
âYou could have been shotâ she says, her voice a mere whisper
âBut I wasnâtâ
âBut you could have beenâ she stresses, âIt could have gone differently and you could have gotten really hurt, and I could haveâŚcould have lost youâ
âOmegaâŚâ you croon as your thumbs delicately wipe her tears away, âThings could have gone differently, yes. But they didnât. I made it home safe and Iâm here with you right now. Focus on thatâ
âHow can I when you have to go back again for the next gala, or for an autograph signing, or a private group tour, or an outing to the race track, or anything else Tony decides he needs you for? It's hard enough watching you leave the house now that Iâm with pups, but now that I know just how much danger you're inâŚ.I donât know if I can do it, Alphaâ
âYou wonât have toâ you assure her as you bring your forehead to rest against hers, âIâm still his head of security, but I no longer need to work events. I just do online meetings, schedules and event set ups now. I just have to go to my office now. No danger.â
âPromise?â
âI promiseâ you tell her, placing a soft kiss against her lips, âNow get some rest detka(baby), you three need it. Iâll be right here.â

â¤ď¸ ÂŤ next story
âGO FUCK YOURSELF, SATORU GOJO!â
âBETTER THAN FUCKING YOU, Y/N L/N!â
âTheyâre at it again already, huh?â
âYeah, man, itâs going to two oâclock. Might as well enjoy the show.â
College is hard enough as is. The fact that youâre now back for the spring semester is tiring enough, wanting to get these classes over with and wrap this up. Spring, Easter, and Summer break are just right around the corner, the cherry on top for this exhausting second half of your junior year. Those are the end goals!
But alas, the semester just started. The students scramble around buying their textbooks and switching courses around, struggling to make final move-in decisions and already stressing over seasonal depression at this time of year. Spring semester, huh? Same old, same old.
Although there are negatives that make it nerve-racking, there are still good things that come with this junior year. Finally over with winter break, youâre excited to be back to living with your roommates, Utahime, Mei Mei, and Shoko! Theyâre your girlfriends for a reason; missing hanging and stressing with them as they made your college experience much better than you expected.Â
And it doesnât end there, either! You missed study sessions at the campus cafĂŠ with your second-year peers, Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami. The two best friends always help with your studies whenever you need it. And, of course, you canât forget about their roommate and your friend, Geto. The tall, raven-haired Biology major is always looking out for you and paying visits to study with Shoko. There was even a time he helped with a mouse situation in your dorm! Poor Utahime that day â saw the rodent when she came out of the shower.
However, youâre not exactly thrilled to see everyone after coming back. You throwing a middle finger at someone on the opposite side of the pathway should be evidence of such. âOh, go jump off a cliff, Gojo!â
âHah! I wouldnât give you the satisfaction!â Satoru Gojo was the direct roommate of Suguru Geto, best friend of his and Shoko, and was the star player of the campus basketball team. But most of all, heâs the kid you despise with every fiber of your being. âIâd be more entertained with you slipping on some ice.â
âOh, you wish! I saw you slip on some ice yesterday on your way to Professor Yagaâs class.â You puff your chest with pride when you see the white-haired guy suck his teeth in annoyance. âMade my whole day, what a fucking moron. How about slowing down next time? You were late anyway!âÂ
Snowy brows furrow with a scoff. âGod, you really are a perfect roommate for Utahime; the both of you are so tiny and angry at the world around you for no reason.âÂ
Utahime, standing beside you during this yelling competition, decides to chip in after that remark. She almost popped a vein, âWHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY, SATORU!?âÂ
âYou heard me!â He barks a laugh at the two of you, turning around to go on his way. âHeard itâs gonna snow later tonight. Be sure to find a nice, big, puffy jacket and some boots so the storm doesnât sweep you away, Y/n~.â
âIâll be sure to shove an icicle up your ass before that, you fucker!â You turn on your heel and stomp your way out of the scene, Utahime following your move. âHmph! Hate his ass so muchâŚâ
âTch, right there with you.â Your roommate sighs heavily to exude the aggression. âBut damn, the way you two go at it is worse than mine.âÂ
She is not wrong; itâs true â everyone within the campus grounds knows how much you and Gojo canât stand each other. Itâs no secret; at least you two make that apparent everywhere you go. This little feud between you started freshman year with you two in the same first-year engagement program. Tiny disagreements turned into narrowed glares, which then pivoted into prominent arguments, and now here we are.Â
You hoped that freshman year would be the last youâd ever see of that snow-haired prude. Unfortunately, you were wrong. The year after, you were unhappy to discover heâs best buds and roomies with Geto. And whatâs worse is that you were ill-fated to share a class with him every semester â especially this one with Professor Naga for Contemporary Issues. Is this the universeâs way of punishing you for something? For what!??Â
Youâve been a good kid, doing what you can and getting the grades that brought you merit and accolades. So, you donât get how this one guy with his stupid round sunglasses is getting under your skin. So fucking annoyingâŚ
You hate him. You hate everything about him. From the way he immediately gives you a smug look when you walk into the room and take your seat right in front of him. The way he surprises you from behind because he finds your reactions amusing. The way he relentlessly calls your name to get your attention when youâre obviously ignoring him, even when he doesnât need you for something.Â
It all makes you heated. You hate Satoru Gojo. I hate him so much!
ââŚhear me?âŚY/n?â
You blink, realizing you were too deep in thought for your ears to pick up Utahime calling out for you. âHmm? Whatâs up?â
She pulls out the keys to the dorm from her coat. âSo? You coming along?â
Huh? âWhere are you going?â
âTo Haibaraâs get-together?â
Oh, hell no! âNo, Uta. I think Iâll stay here.â
The dark-haired girl watches you walk past her when she opens the door. âWhy?? Itâs the first Friday night of the semester; itâs not gonna be a big party or anything. Just close friends.â
âWhat are we talking about?â Shoko chimes in after leaving the bathroom, brushing her teeth with sleepy eyes. âHaibaraâs thing tonight?â
Utahime nods hurriedly at the drowsy nursing student. âIâm trying to convince Y/n to come!â
The brunette shrugs at the comment, following you two to your room. âWell, itâs not like Iâm going either.â She snickers when the eldest dark-haired roommate turns to her with a hurt expression. âSorry. I already have notes I need to get behind on. You can tell the guys I said hi, though.âÂ
Another sigh leaves Utahime as she puts her bag on her desk. ââŚMei Meiiiii,â
âYesss~?â The fourth roommate calls out from the hallway.Â
âAre you going?â
âMmmm, not sure.â Mei Mei comes to the doorframe, her long silverish-blue hair done in pigtails with a green skin-care mask covering her face. âGot a meeting for my club to head to later. And even then, it might still be a while for me to join, depending on if people are hanging out afterward.âÂ
Now is when the Utahime whines to her hands before she turns back to you, sitting on your bed. âY/n, please, come with me!â
You donât give in to her cries. âNo, think Iâll stay and keep Shoko company.â
But she doesnât give up. âPlease! Itâs just a small group of friends and maybe a few classmates Haibaraâs familiar with. No biggie!â
âSmall group of friends, huh?â
âYes!â
âYou know who else are his friends?â You lift a brow when she does the same. âHis roommates: Nanami, Geto, andââ
âGojoâŚâ Utahime completes your sentence in defeat, understanding why your reluctance is present.Â
âSorry, Uta. Maybe next time.âÂ
Now, youâre not saying youâve never been to the guysâ place before; they reside on the other side of campus where senior housing is (Nanamiâs pick because heâs an RA). However, itâs the first Friday night of the semester. Meaning itâs the first free weekend for most students. And youâre going to ruin everyoneâs fun by being in the same place as Gojo? Yeah, no thanks.
That is until Mei Mei says, âActually, I heard from a friend that the basketball team are planning on going out somewhere tonight.â
Shoko adds on while taking out her toothbrush to appropriately speak to her friends. âYeah, now that you mention it, Gojo told me he probably wonât be at the place in the first place. Something about meeting up with a group for one of his classes.â
All separate reasons from different accounts, yet that only fuels Utahime to beam out of her mini-depression and face you once more. âSee? Gojo wonât be there by the time we get there! Heâll be busy with a group project â or whatever â and will hang with his sports buddies. So, you up for it now?âÂ
Your brows trench down. âIâŚI donât knowââ
If thereâs one thing the oldest roommate is good at, itâs not giving up. And itâs because she bats her pretty brown eyes and gives you the most grandiose pleading puppy face she can. Itâs the oldest manipulation tactic in the book, yet it works by making your heart cringe.
Of all things to be dragged into now, it was a party? The semester just started, and you havenât even touched a single piece of reading yet. Is this a good idea? You canât really go based on the perspective of your roommates because whatâll happen on the off-chance you do see Gojo? The thought of it is already headache-inducing.
Then again, itâs the first time since last semester that youâll be able to see the other guys. You didnât say goodbye to Geto and Haibara before break because they were swarmed with finals, and Nanami was gone the moment he found out all his exams were take-home. Youâre not much for parties, to be quite honest. Regardless, it would be nice to catch up on the gang and see how theyâre doing before we all revert to non-stress-free college life.
You release a sigh through your nostrils before making your decision begrudgingly. â...Donât make me regret this.â
âââ ââ
ââ
â âââ
I regret this so fucking muchâŚ
Well, this night was going to be quite a drag. Why? Letâs go over the reasons, shall we?
The party that was supposedly at Haibaraâs dorm? So, it turns out, there was a change of plans, and to be relocated somewhere else â like outside campus grounds. Screw walking, you and Utahime had to go by car with Geto to go to the party, following down the main street into this big, beautiful neighborhood and parking by a big house. Perfect for housing an event for many people to drink, dance, and vibe.
Oh yeah, that was another thing, too; the many that were attending this fucking party. Word got out about the get-together, so, of course, lots of people wanted to come and celebrate the first weekend. So, not only are you outside campus grounds, but now youâre forced to interact with a crowd rather than a small group of people. You practically have been to every corner of the place to disassociate with people you didnât know.Â
So, where are you now? Upstairs in one of the bedrooms, where the bass of the speakers downstairs can be heard. Youâre not alone â sitting in a circle with Utahime, Geto, and a couple of other kids whoâre present at your university. Whatâs happening in the room? Just a chill game of truth, drink, or seven minutes in heaven; either you answer truthfully to a question, drink to avoid it, or go to the closet and do what you want with the person who spun the bottle on you.
But, there was nothing chill about the game, and the players would agree to that notion apprehensively. Because you most definitely silently dreaded every second of this entire night. Why? How about asking the person across you that youâve been glaring at since you opened the bedroom door and saw his face?
Apparently, as word got out about the party, the college basketball team heard about it and decided to come and celebrate. Meaning the whole team is at this party. Letâs say that again: the entire basketball team â all the players â are here to enjoy the party.
The person who stood across from you sat criss-cross with long, jean-covered legs, leaning with his hands behind him, a navy blue sweatshirt, and dark round shades that cover his eyes that you know are looking dead at you. And a smug grin that patronizes you to the core.
You peer to your night, giving Utahime the nastiest look you can. And the eldest could only meekly mumble an âIâm sorryâŚâ with twiddled thumbs.
Satoru Gojo looked at you, and you frowned right back at him. The tense atmosphere between you two was enough to suffocate the other players. Some would try to break the tension by playing the game. But even then, it was still strenuous. One girl rolled the bottle on Geto, to which he picked âtruthâ and answered her question: âHow did you and Gojo meet?â
Even though he didnât pick the option, heâd take a small swig of his beer. âSatoru and I have been friends since middle school â same with my other bud, Shoko. Weâve been inseparable since, and now weâre here. He can be an asshole, though, so watch out.â
A guy spun the bottle on Utahime and asked, âWere you ever interested in Gojo?â The raven-haired girl clicked her teeth and took a chug, drinking the whole thing in one sig.Â
âHmph! Iâd rather drink sweat from Professor Gakunajiâs crusty beard and eyebrows!â Sheâd admit after a burp.
âAhaha! Thatâs a sight Iâd like to see,â Gojo would chuckle at her insult, prompting a few around him to laugh. âBet youâd get more satisfaction from it than being with me anyway.âÂ
The senior rolls her eyes before opening another bottle. âFucking bastardâŚâ
Another spin to the bottle after a couple comes out of the closet all close and giggly. This time, it lands on you. Some bubbly girl who had her eyes all up on Gojo, her nipple piercings able to be seen from her crop tee, was the one who spun it. She asks you, âY/n, could you please tell me why you hate Satoru so much?â
You couldnât fight the twitch of your eye. Of fucking course. Youâre in no mood to drink, and you barely know this girl to think of being in the closet with her. You exhale through your nostrils, ââŚ.Weâre friends, to an extent.â
âTo an extent?â She asked more questions with a naive tone. âBut Satoru's so nice, no?â
Oh, drop it, will you? And why are you referring to him by his first name like you know him? âWeâreââ
âThey mean that weâre kinda friends, kinda not.â Of course, nothing can be to yourself because the white-haired nuisance went ahead and answered your question. âTheyâre friends with my roomies, and my friends are their roomies. So, I guess that makes us friends by association. At least thatâs the only way to see it since we nearly argued our heads off freshman year.â
You scoff with narrowed eyes, âBy association, huh.âÂ
He quirks a brow up. âMhmm.â
Good God, the more you two throw invisible daggers at each other, the more uncomfortable people feel being in this room. Oh, but donât worry; the night gets even worse. Three turns later, it was your turn to spin the bottle. And â sit with me here â just guess who it lands on? Bingo! Satoru Gojo.
The hushed gasps that filled the room were telling; it was bound to happen, but no one thought it would happen. The star-crossed haters spun the bottle and landed on each other. And since Gojo doesnât drink (and he finds the questions rather lackluster), he chooses the closet. The gasps were louder that time, and your blood began to boil.
The first time it happened was uneventful; itâs what you preferred. After the door closed, you told him, âDonât even think about touching me.â It was just pure silence for the entire seven minutes. You sat on one side of the emptied closet while Gojo was on the other. There were the occasional sniffles of your nose and his loud yawns. But other than that, you two stayed at your respective sides of the closet. Seven minutes of no words, just keeping to yourself and watching the lava lamp in your corner be your light.Â
You two survived the first set of seven minutes, not a scratch on either of you, to everyoneâs thankful stars. Keywords: first set. Because why wouldnât there be more?Â
When it got to Gojoâs turn, he spun the bottle and got you! So, here you are, walking into the closet again with your notorious opp. You swore to God this had to be the universeâs way of toying with you as if the start of this semester wouldnât be a handful to deal with already.Â
Youâre back on your side of the closet, groaning at your hands. Itâs okay, Y/n, calm down. You can sit through another seven minutes. You got this! Donât even act like heâs thereâŚ
And so you compose yourself, watching the heated, yellow wax of the purple lava lamp prompt up to the top to cool and sink back down. Six minutesâŚFiveâŚFourâ
âSo, letâs say, hypothetically,â your eyelids closed shut for your eyes to roll freely. âI asked for a little something-ââ
âI guess I shouldâve added no talking, too. Thought that was rather self-explanatory to you.â You shut him down quickly. âAnd I thought I said donât even think of touching me.â
âWell, youâre not in control of my brain,â you donât have to turn your head to know that the fucker is looking at you. âBesides, I did say hypothetically.â
This motherfucker⌠âWell, then, Iâd, hypothetically, break every single one of your fingers and give them to Mei Mei so she can sell them to all your fangirls.â
âHah! Nice to know you see me of high value.â He shifts his feet around from their crisscrossed position. âBet youâd keep one of them.â
You scoff. âOh, donât flatter yourself! Iâm annoyed just from not looking at you; what the fuck would I need your stupid finger for.âÂ
âHmmm, I can think of many, likeââ
âDo not finish that sentence, Gojo.â Your tone dialed lower; a warning. He notices it, bringing his hands up defensively.Â
âJeez, lighten up, Y/n.â He says while leaning against the back wall. âWith an attitude like that, no other guy or gal in that room will ever want to be in a closet with you.âÂ
Oh, you donât say, fuckface! âI barely want to be in this closet with you. Hell, I didnât even want to be here! I only came for Utahime, assuming it would be a small partyâŚHow the hell did you even get here? I thought the basketball team was going out somewhere.âÂ
âAwww, you spying on me, Y/n?â Oh, you hate his fucking snicker, shoving a middle finger in his direction. âWe were supposed to be at some restaurant joint, but a few of the crew flunked out on us and said theyâd go to some âbig party,â then everyone wanted to go, and now weâre here. You know I donât like alcohol, but I just tagged along because Suguru was here. I didnât know about you, though.âÂ
You bring your hands to your face to sigh in private. âWe gotta stop meeting like thisâŚItâs like I can never escape you.â
ââŚIs that a bad thing?âÂ
You open your mouth to refute, but no words leaveâŚ.Huh?
That wasâŚ..odd. Why did he ask that question like that: you couldnât detect a remnant of childish malice heâd been throwing at you back and forth. Even when you faced him, his face was straight ahead. But when you donât answer, his left eye goes to his peripheral to glimpse at you.
What theâŚIs he being genuine right now?Â
You gaze at him briefly before turning away, âIâŚ.I donât know.â He hums to your response. ââŚ.Do you think so?â
Gojo shrugs. âCanât say so either.â You hum back, and the silence takes over once again.
Okay, now things are even more awkward. You came into this closet with irritation, yet somehow, it vanished into thin air. It was the one thing thatâs been constant throughout this evening. Now that itâs gone, you can only replay the moment from a few seconds ago in your head.Â
Is it a bad thing? Why would he ask that? Of course, itâs a bad thing! Has he forgotten how much hostility we have for each other? Jesus ChristâŚ.Wait, why did he say he didnât know either? What does that even mean!!??
âYou look nice.âÂ
YouââŚâŚIâm sorry, what???
The way you snapped your head back to him, you couldâve sworn you heard your neck crack. Holy fuck, why the hell was he looking at you right now? His round glasses shine from the lava lamp, so you canât see his eyes.
âWhâŚ.What?â It was cold; the weather app said it would snow later tonight. Therefore, the temperatures and winds were unforgiving after sunset. So you took it upon yourself to dress warmly. It was all simple, just a white, long-sleeved halter blouse that matched your black skirt â it was the only nice thing you had outside of regular leggings. And you covered your legs with black pantyhoses but decorated with cute white knitted leg warmers.Â
He repeated in a singing tune. âYou look nice.â
When it came to the white-haired guy in this closet with you, there were rare moments where you felt as though you were shocked by him. This was beyond astounding, the comment continuing to ring throughout your ears.
You blinked at him before averting your eyes down to your hands, trying to distract the increase of heat on your cheeks by intertwining your fingers together. ââŚ.Thank you, Gojo.â
âYeah, no problem,â heâd shrug again, chuckling to himself before adding on. âItâs way better than your other outfits. Baggy old sweatshirts, bags under your eyes even if youâre wearing glasses, sweatpants with stains. You look like a homeless librarian.â
Annnnnd just like that, with the drop of your quivering lip, all the warm feelings you felt for a minute evaporated in seconds. The anger returned with the twitch of a brow. ââŚTch, gee, thanks. I canât say the same for you.âÂ
âOh, you know you look cute when youâre jealous~.â
You almost busted a nerve. Who the hell are you calling, cute? âAs if. From the sound of it, you must be jealous of me; who told you to be looking and criticizing what I wear? Must be rough not being able to wear comfortable clothes all the time, huh?â
âShut the hell up,â he finally snaps, and you stick your tongue out in victory.
âNo, Iâll keep going! Iâm sorry, Mr. Perfect, but not everyone wants to put on their best outfits to impress you, not like your fangirls who get their best bras to push up their breasts for you to notice.â
âHuh, you lookinâ at other girls' boobies? Wow, Y/n, never took you as a pervert.â He laughs at your stare of pure anger. âYou are jealous, huh? That Iâm talking at other girls and not you? Awww, donât be so selfish; thereâs plenty of me to go around!âÂ
You snarl at him. âUgh, youâre so gross! I donât want anything to deal with you. So all those girls can have you and rip you to shreds for all I care. Let them know how much of a big fucking baby the wonderful, amazing Satoru Gojo is when he drops his ice cream on the floor and cries on Getoâs shoulders. Or that youâre such a lightweight that you accidentally vomited in Nanamiâs cup one time, which he threw at you...Or maybe I should tell them.â
His brows furrow, âYou wouldnât dare.â
âI would, and then some.â You sneer. âIn fact, Iâll go downstairs, grab that red punch, and spill it right on you in front of that girl next to you. Iâll make your hair look like strawberry shaved ice.âÂ
He leans his cheek against his fist with a huff. âI take it back; you donât look nice at all. So uncute.â
You gasped with trenched brows. âExcuse me!?â
âYou heard me, youâre uncute!â Yup, today was the day: youâre going to choke the hell out of this motherfucker. âI feel bad for any guy who'd wound up in this closet with you, dealing with such a little devil.âÂ
âYouâre one to talk, dickhead! Iâd much rather be stuck in this closet with anyone else â even Geto!â
âTaah, as if! I bet you never even had your first kiss with such an attitude like that.â
Again, you open your mouth to say something, yet words evade you at that very moment. And Gojo catches it quickly. Because his brows raise, lifting his head back up, eyes scanning your face.Â
Oh fuck.
â...â
Donât.
ââŚ.Y/n,â
Donât say it.
âYou never had your first kiââ
BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!
He couldnât finish that sentence, thank God, because the phone alarm from the outside rang. Seven minutes are up â this session is up, so you quickly stood up and opened the closet door.Â
With swift feet, you sit back next to Utahime, your eyes downcast to the bottle, avoiding Gojoâs feet coming around and taking his spot across from you. Your roommate perks at your silence, âYou okay, Y/n?â
A nod is offered to her, âYeah, Iâm fine.â No, you werenât. Your heart was pounding like crazy, your skin dropping in color. And you can feel the eyeballs from across boring into your being. âLetâs just keep playing.â
And so the game carried on from Gojoâs turn. Your eyes could only ever look at the bottle, hoping it would never land on you from there on out. But that would be the easy way out, and â as life is â nothing goes your way when you want it to be.
Because when it gets to your turn, you watch with patient eyes as the glass spins on the cold hardwood floor. One spin goes by, and another swings around. Finally, it stops, the neck of the bottle pointing vertically from you, and your whole figure washes in apprehension with the hushed sounds of exclamation of the other people in the room.Â
Alas, the bottle pointed to Gojo. It was inevitable â you couldnât avoid his presence since the last session anymore. You look at him, your brows scrunched with mercy. But he points to the closet with his chin, and you follow his lead to the small space with anxiousness at every step.Â
Back to your respective stations in the closet. You can only use the mesmerizing wax of the lava lamp as a sort of comfort â a distraction for your nerves that are at an all-time high. Why were you so nervous? All he did was ask if you ever had your first kiss taken.
Yeah, thatâs the problem! Why did he have to know that!? Ughhhh, I shouldâve just lied or somethingâŚNow what? Will he make fun of me for not having my first kiss taken yet? What is this, middle school!?? The thoughts in your head were a battle to deal with, one personal worry after another.
But all that washes away when the silver-haired guy finally breaks the quiet after a minute. ââŚWanna kiss me?â
It felt like your heart dropped at that abrupt question; the warm circulation coursing through your body transitioned to an ice-cold sensation. Your breathing stops, and your eyes shoot wide at the person youâre with. ââŚ.WhaâŚ.What did you say?â
He doesnât hesitate at your request. âWanna kiss?â
HaveâŚ.Have you lostââyour mind!? Why would you ask me that??â You whisper yelled at him so the people outside donât hear you.
He shrugs nonchalantly. âWhy not?â
Why not?!? âGojo, you canât be serious. Just because I never had my first kiss doesnât mean I need it to happen this instant! Are you that much of a horndog that youâd askââ
âLet me explain, alright!?â He yells in whispers back with a hand raised to stop your rambling, and you hold your tongue. âListen, Iâm not asking to be a dick, okay? I just thought thatâŚya know, being in a place full of strangers, someoneâs bound to be in this closet with you and ask you for a kiss.â
Your face screws to a magnificent expression of confusion you could ever contour. âWhy are you concerned about who I kiss? Itâs not like Iâd agree orââ
âYeah, but like, what if they did, huh?â His sky-blue eyes peek from above his sunglasses. The sharpness they carried told you he was serious about this â like he was serious about you. ThatâŚThat was so off of him. âWhat if some weirdo forces themselves on you, and me and Suguru canât help you in time, huh? I can think of two guys in this room whoâd probably do that.âÂ
It takes a few seconds for you to soak in his words, ââŚ.So? What are you getting at?â He opens his mouth but stops from saying something, his pointer finger up but back to a fist. You could tell; whatever he was thinking had him in mental turbulence.
He releases a deep sigh before saying, âIâm justâŚIâm saying, wouldnât it be better to have your first kiss with someone you know, at least?â
You couldnât believe he was saying such things to you. âAndâŚyou think youâre the one I shouldâŚ.kiss?â
ââŚ.I donât hear a no.âÂ
You wanted to refute that statement â challenge him or prove him wrong! You looked at his face, examining every feature to find an indication that whatever he was saying was just a way to get under your skin. He loves to poke fun at you, so why wouldnât he use this as a perfect opportunity?
However, you couldnât find anything. His eyes were sincere, stationed right back on yours. You saw his Adamâs apple move from a gulp, letting you know that he was a little nervous, too. And your gaze drifted to his mouth, the thought of his lips being on yours staining your brain for the first time. It was scary to think about, your heart racing to no end.Â
âY/n,â he said your name so quietly that you almost missed it. âDo you trust me?â
What an odd question to ask in this awkward atmosphere. Do you trust Satoru Gojo, the boy you would smack with a given chance? Heâs undoubtedly the most annoying person youâve ever bumped into â a thorn in your side since freshman year. He is such a tactless fool, doing and saying whatever he thinks comes to mind, picking on you like you were a child, and not taking you seriously when you wanted him to. You could list many things that you saw wrong with this guy.
Yet, he wasnât the worst. There hasnât been an instance where you felt uncomfortable around him, only annoyance. He was friends with Geto and Shoko; that alone should be enough to tell you heâs someone worth depending on. And even when you two would be tasked to do something together, youâd surely click your tongue and bicker until the cows came home. But at the end of the day, you still knew how to work with one another and get the job done.
In all things considered, Satoru Gojo was an irritant. Even so, he was an irritant you could depend on â to trust.Â
Breathing was a hard thing to do, taking in air and exhaling excruciatingly slow. You chew on your bottom lip and give him a curt nod. âIâŚI trust you, Gojo.â
He lets your answer sink in for a bit before he moves his position, his back to the wall while facing you, legs straight down to the ground. He pats on a thigh, âCâmere.â
Hesitance was there for a split second, but you followed his command and quietly maneuvered your way toward his direction, situating on top of his legs. Of course, you were anxious as hell; your ears and cheeks shared a warmth unbearable to host. Your figure being so close to his, you had to be dreaming.Â
But you werenât. The hands he placed on your waist prove so, earning a gasp to leave you. His voice is low for just the two of you to hear. âPut your hands on my shouldersâŚYa scared?â A slow nod is what you give him, and he chuckles lightly. âItâs okay. Try closing your eyes for me. Relax, Iâm not gonna do anything dumb.â
He only said that because of that look you gave him. He is going to do something to you â just nothing too rash.Â
âTrust me, pretty.â
Pretty? Yes, he just called you pretty. You were used to him calling you dumb names to get you riled up, yet none nearly sweet and fitting the mood like this one. It made your heart skip a beat.
With that, you held back reluctance when closing your eyelids. It made you a little uneasy, unable to see him in front of you, what he was doing, what he looked like while having you on him like this.
Suddenly, you squeak when something softly presses down to your clavicle. It was his lips.Â
He snickers, âYa know, I gotta admit.â He brings his mouth up your neck with kisses, your breath shaking with every peck, and your hands clinging onto his sweatshirt. âItâs kinda nice seeing you be all shy on top of me like this.â
âGo..jo...â you flinch at his soft kiss on your forehead, his hands rubbing your sides.
âDonât do that. Call me by my first name.â You can feel him bringing a hand to your cheek, caressing your bottom lip gently with his thumb. âI know you know it. I wanna hear it with your voice.â
Holy fuck, this got intense way too fast. He brings his nose close to yours, and you shiver at the contact. It only means heâs mere centimeters away. Thank God your eyes were closed now because you swear youâd turn to stone if you snuck a peek.
âS..SaâŚToruâMmmph!?â
And there it was, the inexorable. Gojoâs lips fleshed with yours softly, nothing too explicit or unpleasant for you. It was a simple kiss, yet it felt so foreign to you. Your first kiss had been with Satoru Gojo. What a momentous day.
It lasted a few seconds, your body stiff and hands balled to fists nonetheless. He removes from you with a soft noise between your lips, the heat from his face taken with him now that you have space to breathe. You open your eyes for him.
âThere ya go,â he says with a small smile, stroking your cheek with his thumb while his forefinger plays with your earlobe. âWas it so bad?âYou huffed, shaking your head no. Gojo hums, the hand on your waist gripping your flesh faintly. ââŚ.Can I kiss you again?â
Your breath hitched. It was a tiny request. One more wouldnât hurt, right? You nod, closing your eyes again and awaiting his move.
Gojo leans in and claims your lips again, a soft hum from him when his face is back on yours. The next one was a little more risquĂŠ than the last, your bottom lip being taken by his playfully. The third kiss was where the mood dialed to a more wanton plane, him nibbling on your lip to allow him access. Itâs here that Gojo canât contain the reins, removing his glasses, âCome here, cutie.â
And you canât help yourself either, succumbing to these smooches while wrapping your arms around his neck. Gojoâs no better, snaking his hand to the back of your neck and his other sneaking down to your butt.
You break the kiss to inquire, âHahhhââŚyou pervert,â your eyes half-lidded.Â
He puffs a laugh, âWhaaat? I thought youâd like me to be touchy.â
You donât admit anything to him, just slamming your face to his again. You decided to be a little adventurous and lick his lips. Gojo senses the initiative and takes your tongue to suck on. The whimper you let out was too cute, egging him on to suck and tease the muscle more.Â
It makes you dwell in the moment more, your limbs no longer stiff, yet your hips subtly move voluntarily. The friction from your groin rubbing on his jean-covered thigh was strangely enticing, your restraint becoming lesser the more you moved. And it gets worse after both Gojoâs hands creep into your skirt and tease your ass with squeezes.
âAhhh, mmmm, Satoru..â you wailed.Â
âRelax, baby,â there it goes again, another cute pet name to call you. He really knew how to get you going. âLet me take care of youâŚ.Mmmmâ
He shoves his tongue into your mouth â not too forceful to scare you, but enough to get that he is impatient. You moan to his mouth, a hand grabbing tuffs of his snowy hair.Â
His nose is pressed to your cheek like yours, and itâs getting harder to breathe now that things are getting intimate. But it all felt good, and the mood was just right. You rub your chasm onto his leg, which he lifts just a bit to make grazing your groin a little better. And God, the way his hands groped your butt, it turned you on even more.Â
Ohh fuck, tongues swirl around each other, your head begins to pound, and your ears ring from the heat on your face.. Oh, God, you could feel a hand come up to the top of your stocking, teasing its way down your skin and to the hem of your underwear. Please, pleaseâ
BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!
Even so, everything freezes in time, and both you and Gojo stop whatever youâre doing. Lips still on lips, your ass on his lap, and his middle and forefinger barely grazing the crack of your ass. Itâs here that everything hits you all at once: you are not the only one here â youâre not even in your room! Youâre still at the party you were dragged into, in some strangerâs bedroom closet, smooching with your supposed most hated person.Â
You immediately withdraw from him, Gojo removing his hands from you to put up defensively. Your hands rush to cover your lips, which are wet from spit. A thousand thoughts run around your head. Holy shit, what the hell was I doing!? Did I really just kiss Gojo? Satoru Gojo!? What was I thinking!!?
And Gojo didnât say anything, only gauging your reaction to see what goes from here. The light from the lava lamp behind you is sheltered, your silhouette drawn to cover the guy in front of you.Â
I need to leave. Thatâs your final thought, taking an immediate stand and storming out of the closet. Utahime noticed you make a beeline to the door, and the roommate pursues right behind you down the stairs. She moves past drunk dudes to grab your wrist, âY/n! Whatâs wrong â are you okay?â
Itâs time to lie. âYeah, Iâm okay. Just tired, you know.â You lead her to the broom closet where all the initial guestsâ jackets were stored. You grab for yours and put it on, âI think Iâm just gonna call an Uber and head back to campus before the snowfall.âÂ
Her face contorts to an expression of worry. âAre you sure? Iâll come with you; this place bugs anyââ
âNo, no. You donât have to worry, Uta.â You place a hand on her shoulder before she can move another step.Â
âWhen you say it like that, I canât help but worry.â
Your lips twinge to a smile to display faux comfort. âItâs okay, really. You donât have to ruin your fun for me. Besides, I saw some underclassmen waiting to speak with you all night somewhere down here.â
Utahime doesnât buy it, and you knew she doesnât. But thankfully, she doesnât try to fight with you and gives you the okay. She watches you open the door before leaving, âMake sure you call or text me when you get to our dorm!â
It made you laugh; the girl can be such an older sister. âDonât worry, Shokoâs still there, remember? Cya later, have fun!â
âBye, be careful!â A final warning to you before the roommate closes the door for you.
You spoke too soon. Now outside, snow was already falling to the ground, probably a few minutes earlier since it wasnât sticking to the ground yet. The little cold flakes touching the skin of your face were almost remedial, evening out the warmth of your cheeks.
You use this moment to recuperate from what transpired in that house. It was so out of the ordinary and was completely weirding you out, but not in a terrible way. It was more like odd-ish, strange, downright out of the norm. The more you think about it, visiting back to the senses of your hands in his hair, his slender fingers teasing the flesh of your butt, and the pillowy sensation of his lips glued to yours while whispering sweet thingsâŚ..
âŚ.Nope, the cold was not helping at all. There goes the warmness creeping back on your cheeks and ears. Let me hurry and get the fuck out of here, grabbing for your phone and unlocking it to find the Uber app.
âY/n!â
But before your thumb could press on the application, you instinctively turned around to see the door was open again. And the person who called out to you had your breath come to a complete stop.
Gojo closed the door behind him, coming down the driveway while hurriedly putting on his grey Chesterfield coat. âFuuuuuck, it got cold quick!â
âGâGojo!â You stuttered when out by the time he could make it to you. âWhatâs up? What are youââ
âI saw you werenât in the bedroom, and Suguru told me you headed downstairs. You couldâve told me you were leaving; that fox with bangs was giving me an earful,â he stuffs his hands in his pockets and then curses. âFuck, I shouldâve checked for my gloves before I leftâŚ.Anyway, where are you heading off to?âÂ
You were a little taken aback. âUhhh, back to the dorms?â
âGreat!â He wraps an arm around your shoulders and walks with you down the road. âMy carâs over there; letâs hurry before we freeze to death.â
Huh? âHurry where??â
âHuh? Weâre going back to campus, no?â
We!? âTogether!?â
âYeah?â
âGojo, please!â You promptly removed yourself away from Gojo, standing in front of him. âWhy are you doing this? Why are you being all nice now?â
He shrugged âEhhhh? Are friends not supposed to give friends rides back home?â
âNo, not us! We arenât friends; weâre friends to an extent, remember!?â
âAhhh, stop being a baby. You act as if youâve never been in my car before.â You couldnât believe what you were hearing. Yeah, but not when Iâm alone with you, dummy! âCâmon, itâs gonna get colder with this snow.â
âOkay, justâStop!â Your hands go up to prevent him from getting any closer to you. He stops, the fallen flakes camouflaging with his hair. âGojoâŚ.you understand what just happened back there, right?â
He doesnât say anything, only a single nod.Â
âSo, you know that my mind is going at like a hundred miles per hour right now.â
ââŚ.Yeah.â
âOkayâŚ.So, just pleaseâŚI need a minute.â Your face goes to your feet to divert your thoughts elsewhere because you donât know if you could handle looking at the white-haired man for a mere second.
Gojo looks at you mumble to yourself, avoiding him. He releases a deep sigh, walking towards you and lifting a side of his coat to shield you two from the windows of the house party. ââŚYouâre doing it again.â
His shoes come to your direct line of sight, your heart pounding even more. ââŚDoing what?â
âThe thing where you push people out whenever you feel overwhelmed.â You flinch when his finger grazes the back of your palm. âDonât do that, not right now. I want you to talk to me.â
What is there to talk about? You couldâve said that to throw him off â be avoidant to this whole conversation. But itâs futile after he brings your chin up to face him.Â
âDid I make you uncomfortable back there?â
ââŚ.No.âÂ
âThen whatâs wrong?â
âIâŚ.I donât know.â Honestly, you did not know. Your mind had too much to go through; so many memories and phrases from moments ago hit you all at once. Youâre fighting the urge to tremble â not from the cold, but from overstimulation of brain power and senses.
His eyes are still fixed on you, noting you chewing on your lip. âCome with me.â The sudden revelation quirked your eyebrows up. âWhateverâs going on with you is obviously because of me. So, Iâd feel like a dick if I just let you leave because of me. Plus, thereâs no way youâre getting an Uber from here. Shit is like $20, I checked.â
âGojo, Iââ he silences you with a kiss on your forehead. The feel of his lips on your skin again almost made you shut down.
âSorry,â he whispered while placing his forehead on yours. You never really noticed how tall he was until he did that, your heart skipping again. âIâll make it up to you. Promise.â
Picture it: you are out in the cold with Gojo, snow falling down silently onto your figures, him bringing his coat up to shield you from the world. If you were naive enough, youâd mistake this as a scene from a fairy tale. And how he was looking at you, too; his sunglasses were back on, but you could make out the blue orbs that lingered on yours. Itâs as if he didnât want to look at anything else. Just you and only you.Â
You donât know where the hell this side of confidence came from, but you lifted your hands to cup his cheeks and bring him in for another kiss. Cold lips instantaneously warm up at each otherâs contact, Gojo leaning into your touch more.Â
Snow continues to fall and stick, and the music from the house can still be heard from the outside. Yet it doesnât bother you because it all drowns out in this moment you feel with him. Whatever these feelings you are experiencing are something new â scary, but new. And for some reason, it felt right to have them for him.
âââ ââ
ââ
â âââ
A sheet of white cascades over the university grasses, studentsâ cars topped with sprinkles of snowflakes, and the lampposts emit a glow that fits the dark, cloudy weather.Â
You were back on campus but not in your dorm where you told Utahime youâd be. You did text her when you arrived, so she doesnât have to worry too much for you. In turn, she texted back that something had come up and is going to another event with Haibara and some other friends. She said she wouldnât be back until tomorrow morning; it sounds like sheâs having a good time.Â
The same thing goes for Geto, only that the raven-haired boy called Gojo to say heâd be home in the morning because he was getting âprivateâ with someone he met at the party. âWill be back in the morning. Donât cause a fire alarm like last time, you dork."Â
Haibara is supposedly with your roommate, meaning he wonât be back until the morning, either. The only person left to account for would be Nanami, who is currently away for the weekend because he had to visit home to grab last-minute things from break.Â
That leaves only you inside their apartment â in Gojoâs room on top of his bed with your top and bra down on the carpeted floor, along with Gojoâs sweatshirt and jeans. His bed is like any other twin bed for college dorms, a little impossible to move around for two people and limited positions. Nonetheless, to start things off slow, you lie comfortably on his bed with your head to his pillow as he crawls above you and works from above.
Gojo is straddled on top of you, kissing your lips and sucking on your tongue, evoking the prettiest wails heâs ever heard. Your hands find purchase on his shoulders while his are busy roaming your body.
The kiss is broken when you gasp at the contact of his pinkie grazing a nipple on your breast. âAhhnn, Satoru, donât touchâŚMmmph!â
âHmmm, what, gorgeous?â He places his lips from your chin down to your neck, sucking on your skin and leaving ticklish nibbles. âDonât touch what?â
âMâMy niâOhhoo!â He gives the hardened bud a tweeze, and your cry results from the sudden action.Â
He chuckles, âSo cute.â Kisses travel down from your collarbone, your breasts, and finally, your other unattended nipple. A whimper leaves your lips at the wet sensation of his tongue swirling around the sensitive nob, and you shriek when he takes it into his mouth. The frequent grazes of his teeth and the tongue pushing your nipple to the roof of his mouth â it all felt surreal.
Yet, it wasnât as surreal as the next thing he was about to do. Sucking on your tit was the perfect distraction for him to sneak a hand down into your pantyhose, sinking it to the lower regions of your underwear. You gasp at the feeling of a digit pressing on the wet spot of your underwear.
âWâMmmphâŚâtoru, waitâŚâ you pat him on his shoulder to get his attention, yet he doesnât lift from your breast yet. âDonâtâStop, itâs embarrassingâKhhmm!â Shivers shoot up your spine after Gojo uses his middle and forefinger to go in between your panty-covered folds. Your wetness sticks onto him the more he rubs.Â
Gojo lets go of your nipple with one last suck, the cool air chilling the wet bud. âAwww, is my lilâ princess shy?â You could only answer in pants and puffs, his blue eyes surveying your entire body laid out for him. âHeh, shit, you look so good...Hmm? Hey, you got a tear down here.â
âHuh?â You follow his eyes down to your tights, bringing your attention to a worn-down incision where Gojoâs hand is between the material and your underwear. It mustâve been from when I was grinding on him earlier todayâŚ
The snow-haired boy removes his hand from inside your tights and uses both to make the rip bigger. Your eyes shot wide, âWhaâWhat are you doing?â
âMaking it easier to see your pussy.â He continues to tear a hole big enough for the damp spot of your pussy to be prevalent.Â
Your face dials up in warmth at the vulgar word. âYou couldâve just taken them off, you idiotâŚâ
âPssh, thatâs no fun. Besides,â Gojo uses a thumb to remove the panty barrier to reveal what heâs wanted to see the moment you crawled up on his bed. Your bare cunt, wet substance glistening the pretty folds of your labia. He bites his lip. âIâve been dying to see this pretty thing youâve been hiding from me.â
Your hands rush to cover up your vagina, âD-Donât say such embarrassing things, Gojo!â
âHey, hey, let me see it,â his hands are used to pull yours aside, your slit throbbing from his gaze without your control. âAnd what did I say about calling me by my last name?â
It was a force of habit, dummy. â...Just be gentle, okay, Satoru?â
He beams a smile at you, the dimples on his cheek prevalent with his childish manner. âI will, princess! Now, whatâs goinâ on hereâŚâÂ
He ditches his head down to your chasm, giving the inviting genitalia a slow lick up to your clitoris. You bucked your hips in shock, jerking at the sudden intrusion of his tongue situating between your slit. He uses his hands to keep your legs still while he sucks and teases your vagina.
You grab for his hair, ââKhhaa!! Ohhh, ohhfuckkk, Satoru, noâOhhh!!â Your eyes screw shut, mouth open to let your cries fly out.Â
It only pushes Gojo to keep going, his tongue ravaging your folds as if heâs going to lick you clean. And when he sucks on clit? Holy fuck, you couldâve sworn your soul left your body right there and then.
âSatoruuu!! Ohhhshit, ohhhhâŚMmmph,â the noises that come from the commotion below of Gojoâs tongue lapping and slurping your essence were so pornographic to the ears as if theyâd melt on the spot. âOh, God, Iâm gonna cum, I think Iâm gonnaâŚNnmmph!â
Gojo hears you; thatâs why he removes his mouth from your clit before you can experience your orgasm. You throw an unsatisfied whine at him, a shit-eating grin apparent on his face. âSorry, cutie. But I wanna have a feel for you first.â He straightens his posture and spreads your legs for him. You follow his hands that land at the hem of his boxer briefs, where a tent protrudes until his erection is sprung out with one fell swoop.
The erect limb you gawked at was definitely something you werenât mentally prepared enough to see. Your eyes take in every single detail you can: from his pink tip, where precum exudes from the urethra down to the underside of his cock, to the long body curved slightly to the left. A whole living a breathing dick â and itâs Gojoâs dick, of all things. It was oddly pretty, you had to admit.Â
âYa ready?â You snap back to reality when Gojo calls out to you as he scoots forward to you after putting the condom on, the cockhead aligning with your labia. You hold your breath at the proximity, âListen to me, Y/n. Since this is your first time, I need you to take deep breaths and try to relax for me. Think you can do that for me?â You sigh through your nostrils, but you nod. âHeh, good. Now stay still, and let me know if it hurts, okay, princess?â
He lightly pushes his glans to your labia, swirling it around to warm you up before kissing the entrance of your vagina. He begins to propel into you, and you begin to brace yourself for the pain that accompanies his insertion. You grab the pillowcase, your teeth clinging to your bottom lip as tears well up. But you remind yourself to breathe, drawing out as much of an exhale for Gojo to shove the tip in.
And when it does get in, you release the loudest gasp youâve ever expressed that night! Your body froze stiffly as Gojo plunged more of his length into you; the curve scraping your side caused such an exhilarating spike in your nerves that your walls immediately began clenching around him.Â
Oh fuck, Itâs coming, Iâm gonâ âAhhhh!â
And just like that, your orgasm that was avoided before came back in seconds., the walls of your slit fluttering on Gojoâs cock like crazy, electric shocks climbing up to your head and pulling you in for a haze.
The sudden contraction of you makes Gojo hiss, ââFuuuck, youâre gripping me like crazyâŚ! Damn, you feel so fucking goodâŚâ He continues to push himself onto you until the base rises your southern lips and grinds his pelvis, which only fuels your screams even more with the overstimulation. ââKhhh! D-DamnâŚdid you cum, baby?â
You canât even form a proper sentence, your lower half feeling too full to speak, and your figure trembling from the crescendo.Â
Your expression has Gojo bend down to laugh. âNever had that happened before. Heh, glad I could make you cum for the first time. Congrats, prettyâŚâ Pillowy lips claim yours again, taking your whines and whimpers as he roughly grinds his hips to you.
Gojo begins moving his hips at a slow pace, letting you adjust to his size and shape. However, the peak has made your entire lower body dial-up in sensitivity, your back arching to him every time your clit is barely touched. Tears have long fallen since he successfully entered inside you.
Jesus, the fucking curve of his shaft was so fucking dangerous! Not only was the feeling of his veins coming to and fro with your inner walls had you twitching, but the way the tip of his cock was scratching and poking every spot that had you humming was so unfair. Especially now, when he changes the rhythm to a faster cadence, youâre bound to come again!Â
âOhooo, ahahhh, Sa-âtoruâŚ! Ughhh, Jesus, it feels soâŚ.Hooohhh!!â Your words slurred in between kisses, almost choking on your tongue with the slap of his balls hitting your taint.Â
âYeah, babyâŚâOhhh, shit, shit, shiiiitâŚ!â You feel so good to Gojo; he canât help but slam onto you with all his might. Your nails were causing eclipses on the skin of his shoulders. He didnât mind; he knew it was because you were feeling good, too. âHnnghâŚHowâre you feelinâ, Y/n? Hmm?â
ââEeshh!! IâIâŚdonât knowâŚâ Your brain was too mushy to think adequately, too distracted by what was between your legs.
But Gojo wasnât buying that mess. âOhoho, I think you do know, sweetie.â The tall silver-haired boy creeps a hand down to your clit to give it a pinch. You scream, your legs wrapping around his hips involuntarily. âHowâre you feeling?â
ââFuuuhucck!! It feels good,â There, you finally said it. âIt feels soo goodâŚHicâpleaseeee, make me feel good, âtoruuuu!!â
He puts his forehead to yours before kissing it. âGod, youâre so fucking, cuteâŚâÂ
Gojo increases his tempo to an erratic fashion, your howls bouncing off the walls with every plunge of his dick inside you. Your gummy walls clamp onto him while his fingers swipe around your clitoris, and more tears strike down your wet cheeks.Â
The familiar tingling sensation from before begins to climb up. Oh, God, itâs happening again. âAhhoooâOhmyfuckingGooood!! Iâm gonna cum again, Iâm gonna cummmâŚ! Aiiishh, ahhhhh!!â
And there it goes, your second crescendo hitting you like a wall. Your walls twitch around Gojoâs length again, prompting the man above you to impetuously thrust in a harsh motion, evoking more choked sobs from your puffy lips. And when he dwells into a finish of his own, you can feel his limb pulsate along with your contractions withering away.
The two of you heave and pant close to each other before Gojo slumps his body on your nude figure, allowing him to rest while he pumps his load into your stimulated cunt. The sheets beneath you stick to your sweaty skin, the air of Gojoâs huffs tickling your neck.Â
When you feel your body subsided from the excitement, you two turn to each other. Noses touching each other, eyes locked into each otherâs stares.Â
ââŚ.So,â heâs the first to speak in a whisper. ââŚWhat does this make us?â
His eyes were so alluring to look at, like looking at the most beautiful azure gems in your adjacency. ââŚIâll punch you if you say Iâm your girlfriend.â
That has him chuckling in shaky breathes. âFair enough, but itâd be dumb if we didn't talk after this.â
A curt nod in agreement, ââŚIs there a thing called frenemies-with-benefits?â
âPfft, I donât know, but why not? I wouldnât mind.â Gojo then decides to get up and finally remove himself from you, slowly taking out his cock with the condom. The bed creaks when he leaves to remove the plastic and wrap it to discard it. âYou okay?â
You ponder for a few seconds before coming to an honest answer. âI think soâŚMy pantyhose isnât fine, though, you fiend.âÂ
He flashes another smile at you, his dimples taking your heart away. âYeah, yeah, sorry about that. Iâll get you another pair.â
âYou better.âÂ
BZZZT!! BZZZT!! BZZZT!!
Before you could get off the bed, a vibration came from Gojoâs dresser top. It was his phone, the caller ID reading as âpunk-boy bangy wannabeâÂ
You blink and give the phone to Gojo after he puts his sweatshirt back on. With raised brows, he says, âItâs Suguru?â His thumb presses the green button before bringing the device to his ear while he puts his limp dick back in his boxers. âYo. Wassup?â
âOkay, good, you picked up. Iâm getting in the elevator right now to grab something from the room real quick. Open the door for me, will ya?â
The white-haired roommate couldnât express his shock in time because Geto ended the call before he could have the chance. He turns to you slowly, and you can tell whatever heâs going to say isnât good based on that dumb look on his face. âSuguru's coming upâŚnow.â
Panic spiked up as it rightfully should. You were still braless and topless, for Christâs sake! And wearing torn tights!? Something you did not want Geto to see in the likes of his and Gojoâs room. âWâWhat should I do?!â
Gojp quickly scans the room for a plan, immediately pointing to a door to his right. âHide in my closet!â He hurries to grab the door open. âQuick, grab your clothes and get in here!â
âOh, for fuckâs sakeâŚ!â You grab for everything in your direct line of sight, making a straight beeline to the closet when youâve got everything. âDonât forget my shoes at the front; just quickly hide them somewhere!â
âOkay, okayââ
âIâm serious, Gojo! Do not do anything stupid!â
âI heard you, jeez.â He watches you move around the closet, moving his shoes to one side while trying to hide behind one of his suits. Jesus, you looked real cute even when you were scared. ââŚHey.â
You peer up at him, moving his blazer so he could see your complete face. âWhat?â
âBe careful not to leave your panties here âcause I might not give them back.â
The last thing Gojo saw within that second was one of his dress shoes thrown dead at his face. His hands come to his stinging nose and cheek, exclaiming at the pain with a loud groan. âFucking pervert, quit playing dumb games and get my shoes!â
I take it fucking back. He slams the closet door closed. âSo uncuteâŚâ

oh, the idea of satoru attempting to get his hands on you numerous times throughout the day but keeps getting interrupted (bc yâknow, heâs a busy sorcerer) and then finally snapping because heâs so pent up that he canât think about anything other than fucking you makes me giggle.Â
smut under the cut. MDNI. also, barely proof-read so sorry for mistakes lol.
----
You squeal with excitement when you hear the door to the apartment unlock. Satoru was home. Finally, he was back after spending two weeks away on business. The moment you see just a glimpse of his white hair, you rush towards him and wrap him in a tight hug, him lowering his Infinity just in time to scoop you off of your feet. You're hit with the scent of his cologne, the feel of his soft hair underneath your fingers, and you sigh in relief. Finally.
âHey, pretty girl,â he greets with his usual smirk as your legs wrap around his waist. âMiss me?âÂ
He kisses you before you can respond, so you settle for humming into his mouth. He walks you both over to the living room, gently setting you on the couch before climbing on top of you. Your hands fumble with his jacket, and he helps you out by taking it off. He breaks away from your mouth to start doting messy kisses down your neck and collarbone. âMmm, fuck. Missed you too,â he says, his voice deep with lust. âBeen wanting this for so long, baby.âÂ
His phone vibrates, and he ignores it, deciding to focus on pulling your shirt up instead. When it continuously vibrates with multiple calls, he sighs irritatedly and pulls it from his pocket to see Yagaâs name on the screen. Â
You giggle from underneath him, pulling your shirt back down and sitting up. âI think you should get that.âÂ
âThis isnât over,â he promises. He gets up and answers the phone, holding it up to his ear. âThis better be important. âŚHuh?! I just got back from a mission, what the hell do you mean the higher-ups want to talk?!âÂ
â â â âÂ
âAlright, you all. Thatâs it for today,â you conclude your lesson with a clap, and the second years begin to gather their things. âGeto will meet you all in the field so you can have a lesson thatâs a bit more active. Have fun!âÂ
They all express their excitement, then make their way outside of the classroom. They pass Satoru on the way out, who had just arrived only a few minutes before the end of your lesson. âYeah, yeah, what she said. Hey, Okkotsu!âÂ
âYes?â Yuta calls back.Â
âRemember toââÂ
âWork on that cursed energy control. Yeah, I got it,â the boy groans.Â
You shake your head with a tiny laugh as Satoru shuts the door to the classroom. âI swear, Yuta is trying his best. Heâsâ Whoa!âÂ
Your back suddenly hits the wall, and Satoru is in front of you. His blindfold is raised, and you see the utter hunger pooling in his blue eyes before heâs kissing you, similar to the way he did that morning. You moan into his mouth, and your arms come up to wrap around his neck. âMmm, fuck. T-Toru, weâreââÂ
âShhhhh,â he hushes against your lips. âDidnât I tell you that this wasnât over?â His hand begins to trail further down your body, eager fingers hurriedly unbuttoning your jeans. âJust try to be as quiet as possible, baby. Iâll be quick. Gonna make you feel so goodââÂ
Heâs cut off with a knock at the door. âGojo, are you in here?âÂ
Nanami.
âBusy!â He yells, a bit on the harsher side.Â
âYouâre with [Y/L/N] right now. Her lesson with the second years just ended. You do know that around this time, youâre supposed to be training the first years, right?âÂ
Satoru looks at the clock at the wall, then winces. Itâs true, but still, he desperately needed you, otherwise he thought that heâd explode. âJust tell them IâmââÂ
âCanât. Theyâre right here with me,â Kento says flatly. âTheyâve been waiting for at least half an hour.â
You hear Yuujiâs excited voice next. âHey, Gojo-sensei! How was your mission?!âÂ
âItadori, no need to shout. Seriously, weâre all right here,â Megumi grumbles.
âIâm with Fushiguro on this one,â Nobara comments.Â
Satoru groans into your shoulder, and his fist hits the wall. Unable to take his strength, it caves, leaving a nice-sized hole next to the chalkboard. You stifle a laugh. Thank goodness that this wasnât your classroom and you were only borrowing it.
He inhales sharply, then masks his annoyance and sexual frustration with a smile. âAlright! Be out in a second!â He calls out to them.
He sees you laughing into your hand, and he leans forward to whisper in your ear, âJust wait âtill later.â
â â â âÂ
âLaterâ was far later than Satoru had hoped. After training the first years, Yaga talked to him about the next exchange event and how they were behind on planning, and then he had to shadow the second years on a mission that lasted what felt like forever.
Youâre back in the apartment, humming as you finish tidying up the living room. You grab the basket of laundry, sit down, and begin folding towels. It was close to eight in the evening. Youâre about to grab your phone to check on Satoru when you hear the door opening.Â
âAh, there you are. I was beginning to think that Iâd have to come and help out,â you say without looking up. âI mean, yeah, the curse was lower-ranked, but sometimes the second yearsââ You cut yourself off with a surprised scream as Satoru effortlessly hoists you with one arm, puts you over his shoulder and walks in the direction of your bedroom. Once youâre in there, he lightly tosses you on the bed, then yanks off his blindfold. His eyes are dark with a mixture of the hunger you saw earlier, and frustration.
âNo more bullshit,â he says as he climbs over you, gathering your wrists and pinning them above your head. âIf someone else interrupts, I might just hollow purple them.â When he kisses you, itâs far more intense than heâs ever kissed you today. His tongue explores your mouth, and you moan from the dizzying, yet pleasurable sensation. Itâs not long before youâre both panting. His hands grip your shirt, and the sound of fabric tearing fills your ears. You gasp, your mouth falling open in shock when the scraps of your shirt as well as your bra are tossed aside.Â
Satoru is breathing hard above you, nearly drooling as he stares at your upper body, his white hair beautifully framing his face. He dives in and sucks one of your nipples into his mouth. Your back arches off of the bed when you feel his tongue swirl around the sensitive bud, and you whine his name needily. He moans, alternating between using his teeth to leave gentle love bites on your tits and using his tongue on your nipples. Itâs messy, greedy, and you donât ever want it to stop.
Finally, he kisses further down your stomach, pulling down your leggings along with your panties and tossing them to the bedroom floor. He spreads your thighs, then licks a long stripe up your pussy, a loud, shameless groan of relief escaping him when he finally tastes you. âOh, fuck, Iâve missed you so much, baby,â he sighs, and he smiles devilishly up at you as he readjusts his hold on your thighs. âThink this pussy missed me just as much, if not more. Sheâs fucking soaked.âÂ
He only gives you a split second to take a breath to prepare yourself, then heâs devouring you as if he were poisoned and the antidote was inside of your pussy. His tongue swipes expertly across your folds, then it flicks against your clit. You bury your hands into your hair as pleasure zips through your body, the rest of the world fading away until all thatâs left is you and Satoru. âToru- Ohhhhh shit, baby. Fuck-â You gasp desperately when he gently sucks your clit into his mouth. Heâs moaning loudly, drunk off of the taste of your pussy and from the feeling of you pulling his hair.Â
You grind your hips against his face when you feel a knot beginning to form in your lower stomach, your breath stuttering as it tightens. You knew that this orgasm was going to blow any orgasm you gave yourself during the last two weeks while he was away on business completely out of the water. âFuck, âm gonna cum,â you manage to tell him in between pants. âOh, god, Toru, right there, right there, right there-â You feel your body begin to clench, ready to release.Â
But then, Satoru stops.Â
You whine frustratedly as your orgasm fades away before you could reach it, looking down at your boyfriend in between your thighs, whoâs smiling deviously. âThat was for laughing at me earlier,â he says after licking the rest of your juices off of his lips. âNot so funny now, is it?ââ
On a normal day, youâd be stubborn and attempt to piss him off, but today was different. Your head rests on the pillow, and your chest rises and falls with every pant, groaning in defeat. âSatoru, please,â you beg, keeping your voice as low as possible so he doesnât hear the utter desperation.Â
Satoru feigns confusion, and you see the pure delight in his eyes. Little shit. âSorry, baby, what was that?â he asks.Â
âPlease,â you repeat louder. âMake me cum.âÂ
He hums as he pulls off his shirt. âIâll think about it.â He stands up, and you sit up to help him with his pants, eager to taste him and take his cock down your throat. You pull his underwear down, and he stops you when he catches onto what youâre doing. âAnother time, baby. Right now, I just really need to fuck you.â He kisses you once, and you moan at the taste of yourself on his lips. âItâs been too long. Lay back.âÂ
You lie back on the mattress, and he grabs your legs to gently pull you towards the edge of the bed, then places them on his shoulders. He slides his cock in, and the both of you moan in relief. Satoru doesnât waste any time and starts fucking you fast, which you two needed. Being separated for two weeks on top of the usual stress of missions and teaching was horrible for you both. âOhhhh, fuck,â Satoru moans loudly, not caring if anyone else heard, his eyes practically rolling into his head from the pleasure. âShit, baby, you feel so fucking good.â
He slows the speed of his thrusts, but intensifies them by going harder, the salacious sounds of his hips meeting yours filling the room. Satoru looks down at you, taking in the o-shape of your mouth, your closed eyes and the way you're gripping the bedsheets as you whimper his name. He has to bite the inside of his mouth so he doesnât cum too quickly.Â
âSat- Satoru,â you moan out deliriously as you open your eyes, gasping when his cock perfectly hits your g-spot. âFuck, youâre- Ah- so deep.â Tears blur your vision, and your boyfriend chuckles as he leans down closer to you, his thrusts relentless. Satoru kisses your cheek, then uses a thumb to wipe away a tear.Â
âAw,â he coos condescendingly into your ear. âYou cryinâ?âÂ
Your nails drag down his back, and he reaches in between where your bodies are connected to rub gentle circles on your clit. You feel that knot begin to form again, far more intense than before since you were edged earlier. âF-Fuck, Toru, I-â Youâre cut off when his mouth meets yours for another messy kiss. He continues rubbing your clit, and you whimper behind his lips. He groans when your pussy begins to tighten around his cock. You grip his shoulders to steady yourself as your breathing begins to come out in short bursts.Â
âLet go, baby, itâs okay,â Satoru purrs into your ear. âCum for me. Let me feel you.âÂ
Your legs tense, your toes curl, and stars fill your vision as your orgasm takes you by force. Youâre screaming his name as your body trembles, and Satoru murmurs encouragement into your ear as he fucks you through it. âThaaaatâs it, pretty girl,â you hear, then he groans, also so close to finishing, his thrusts growing sloppy. âFuck, baby...â
Though youâre dizzy from your orgasm, you muster enough focus to kiss him. You stroke his face, lovingly run a hand through his hair, then wrap your legs around his waist to bring him in even closer, encouraging him to give everything to you. You wanted him to cumâneeded him to. The kiss and the faint pulsing of your pussy pushes him over the edge, and Satoru moans loudly into your mouth as he stills, spilling his thick load deep within you and coating your walls. He cums hard, his grip on you tightening as he breathes heavily. Finally, he collapses, but is careful not to crush you with his weight.Â
Both of you are silent for a moment, remaining with each other as you mellow in the aftershocks of your orgasms. âShit,â Satoru breathes out with a small laugh. âI donât think Iâve ever cum that hard before. I thought I blacked out for a second.âÂ
You laugh with him, then press a kiss to his forehead. âWelcome home.âÂ
âHappy to be back. Missed you like crazy. Canât believe I had to wait all day for that.âÂ
âMissed you too, and same here, but you gotta admit, it was funny.âÂ
Satoru tenderly smiles down at you, and your heart stutters at the sight of it. You were always weak for that specific smile. âIt was, but, uh⌠you wanna know something else that might be funny?âÂ
âHm?âÂ
âWe broke the bed.âÂ
â....What?â

Oh oh oh Hotch walking in on a sweet little moment between Jack and reader and he just MELTS when he realises how much he loves them both??đđ (pls, only if it inspires you lovely!!)
ty for your request! fem, 1k
âWell, I liked it. I thought it was cool.âÂ
Hotch puts his keys in the bowl. âIt is cool,â Jack says. It's good to hear his voice after so long away. Jack's not often talkative. âIt is.âÂ
âThank you, Jack.â There's a gap where Hotch can't see anything, peering around the door to the kitchen. He's too far away. âYou're such a nice boy. You know that?â you ask.Â
You and Jack are talking in the unhurried tones of people close to one another. Hotch has to strain to hear it clearly. âYou think so?âÂ
âI do. You're really, always nice to me. You're brave and smart, Jack, but what I love about you the most is how nice you are. How kind.âÂ
âThank you.âÂ
âYou're welcome.â Hotch can see the look on your face in his mind, the softening of your eyes and the small smile. âDo you think you're nice?âÂ
âYes!â A small giggle echoes off of the kitchen tiles. âI'm nice. But I want to be brave more.âÂ
âYeah? It's a really great thing to be so nice. To be patient with people, and to be forgiving, that's its own kind of bravery, because it can be hard.âÂ
âIt's easy.âÂ
âI'm glad you think so.â Hotch walks further down the hall and finally spots you. You're sitting on the kitchen floor together with one of Jack's long paper rolls spooled from the door to the cabinets. Jack lays on his stomach with a red marker in his hand, staring at you with wide eyes as you draw. Hotch can't see your face, but he hears your smile. âI love you, Jack.âÂ
âI love you too⌠thanks for drawing with me.âÂ
âI love drawing with you. Maybe I should say thanks to you for doing all the best ones.âÂ
Jack laughs with the shaken-soda quality only little kids can reach. It immediately gets you laughing, and that combined makes Hotch chuckle. Your heads turn together quickly, Jack's with excitement and yours surprise. âHi, daddy!âÂ
âHi, buddy.â
âYou're home early?â Jack asks.Â
Hotch steps carefully over the mess of pending and paper, sitting cross-legged at Jack's side. Jack smiles and tips into Hotch's lap without getting up, a flop of limbs into starched pants. Hotch hugs him in similar limbless fashion.Â
âHome for two days, at least.â He presses his lips to Jack's ear, speaking softly. âSo I hope you saved some room for me on that paper.âÂ
âI did! Do you want your pyjamas? We've been wearing our pyjamas all day. We had pizza for breakfast.âÂ
âJack!â You cover your face. âJack, that was our secret, oh,â âyou part your fingersâ âAaron, I'm sorry, I know he shouldn't lie to you, and I know I shouldn't give him junk but he was asking so nicely and I really didn't wanna make oatmeal.âÂ
Jack runs away with another bout of giggles, knowing he's entrapped you.Â
âYou know I don't care,â Hotch says, giving you an easy smile.Â
âYeah, but⌠I'm supposed to be a good role model,â you say, offering a small smile in return. It half knocks the air from his lungs.Â
He reaches across the drawing chaos to touch your face with his thumb. Your cheek is soft. The little wrinkle by your mouth deepens with your smiling, and the incremental weight of your head tilting into his hand is a feeling he can't get enough of.Â
âI heard you talking,â he says.Â
âWhat were we saying?âÂ
âAbout how he's kind.â He cups your cheek. âI missed you both so much. It's⌠amazing to be home.â
He knows you like this more than kissing, sometimes. It isn't hard to hold you like you mean everything to him, to caress your skin with a gentle fingertip, drawing a line along the curve of your neck. Your pupils grow to black dimes, and your breathing slows.Â
âI missed you too, Agent. We missed you, we've been trying to think of new games to keep busy. See, we're drawing us in different jobs.âÂ
He's going to look just as soon as he gets enough of you, his thumb pressing circles into your skin.
âDid you frown a lot while you were away?â you ask in a whisper.Â
âCan you tell?âÂ
âA little bit,â you say, still whispering as you lift your hand. You rub the line between his brows. âShould I kiss it away?âÂ
Jack runs back in with Hotch's pyjamas in his arms, a grey shirt and dark blue pants. âKiss what?âÂ
âMy wrinkles,â Hotch says.Â
âHis frowny face.âÂ
Jack wraps his arms over Hotch's shoulders, almost choking him with the pyjamas. âI'll do it! I will.âÂ
âAlright, buddy. Fix me up, okay? I can only smile for the next couple of days.âÂ
Hotch gets a face full of kisses and a great long hug to round it out, Jack in his lap. You're sketching something as they hug but he can't see what until Jack settles, and when he does, he laughs so hard he almost knocks Jack back out of his lap.Â
Jack Hotchner, professional frown remover, you've captioned. Jack stands tall and smiling with a love heart on his shirt, his felt marker outlines sewn with care. Aaron Hotchner stands next to him, professional frowner.Â
Hotch immediately pesters Jack into giving him the right pens for his own turn. He doesn't caption it, unsure what job he'd label either of you with, but it's clear what he's getting at with speech bubbles full of smiley faces.Â
He thinks he might remember your conversation forever without it, but the drawing serves as a nice memento. He only wishes he were a better artist.Â

ANNOYING HAPPINESS // H.FORT
summary: you have a fight with your bf hector and his motives turned out to be deeper than you thought. based on this request
genre: angst, comfort
warnings: none
a/n: the urge i have to comfort a man like that đđ¤đť (youâll understand me when you read it đ)
Hector sat slumped on a bench in the locker room. The team had just won a hard game, and theyâd been celebrating in high spirits. All of them except Hector. Heâd been unusually quiet throughout the whole thing, barely even cracking a smile after the final whistle blew.
As his teammates made their way out of the room, chatting and laughing, he remained behind. It was only when you approached him that he finally spoke.
âWhy do you have to always be so damn cheerful?â
Your heart sank at his sharp tone. Youâd been celebrating with the rest of the team, excited about the teamâs victory. But Hectorâs words made it clear that he didnât share your enthusiasm.
âWhat do you mean?â you asked carefully.
Hector gave a scoff, his irritation obvious. âYou know what I mean. The whole jumping around and clapping and acting like every little thing is a big goddamn deal.â
He was staring straight ahead, refusing to look at you directly. His jaw was clenched, the muscles tight. Clearly, something was bothering him deeply.
You were taken aback by his tone. Sure, Hector had always been more reserved than the other players, and prone to moments of sullen silence, but heâd never lashed out like this. Even after a bad loss, heâd usually just remain quiet and unemotional.
âWhy does it bother you so much?â you asked hesitantly.
Hector finally turned to look at you. His eyes were cold and hard, but there was also a vulnerability there that you seltenly saw.
âBecause itâs all bullshit,â he snapped. âItâs not real. We win a game and you act like itâs the greatest thing in the world. But what about when we lose? Then itâs just on to the next one. Itâs all just a big joke, and youâre the only one who doesnât get it.â
You were caught off guard by his bitter words. You wanted to reassure him, to tell him that it wasnât all a joke, but something in his tone stop you. He was dead serious.
âHector, thatâs not true...â you began, but he interrupted you with a derisive snort.
âOh yeah?â Hector shot back. âThen why does the media love you so much, huh? Always talking about how great you are. How youâre the best fan this team could ask for. Itâs just a goddamn performance for them, and youâre their favorite clown.â
His words stung. Youâd never thought of your love for the team as just a performance before. But Hectorâs dismissive tone was starting to get to you.
âSo I should just be unhappy all the time, is that it?â you asked, your voice growing sharper. âJust mope silently when the team loses, like you do?â
Hector winced at your words, but then his scowl returned. âAt least Iâm not fake,â he snarled. âI donât pretend everythingâs sunshine and rainbows just because it makes me look good on camera.â
You felt a flash of anger that he would accuse you of being fake. âJust because Iâm not a miserable grouch like you doesnât make me a fake! I love this team, and I celebrate their successes.â
Hector let out a low growl, his patience wearing thin. âYou think itâs easy being this way?â he asked, his voice harsh. âYou think I like bottling everything up like some kind of robot? I wish I could be like you, going around all happy all the time. But I canât. Iâve seen too much to act like nothing bad will ever happen.â
You were just starting to respond when Fermin suddenly appeared in the doorway. Hector seized the opportunity and brushed past the other man without a backward glance.
Fermin must have sensed the tension in the air, because he gave you a quizzical look. âWhat was that all about?â he asked.
You shook your head, still rattled by Hectorâs words. âItâs nothing,â you mumbled, not meeting Ferminâs gaze.
You hurried after Hector, your heart still pounding with frustration and bewilderment. The parking lot was mostly empty now, his teammates already having left.
You found Hector at his car, his jaw still clenched in irritation. He didnât look up as you approached, just stood there silently, waiting.
You stood next to him, not quite sure what to say. Hectorâs outburst had left you feeling both stung and puzzled. He was normally so reserved; what had set him off like this?
After a few tense seconds, he finally spoke, his voice low and quiet. âYou gonna stand there all night?â
You sighed, realizing that he wasnât about to address the argument. âNo,â you replied, your tone matching his. âAre you going to keep being a jerk?â
Hector let out a humorless laugh. âNo promises.â
He opened the car door and got in, leaving you standing there on the empty asphalt. This conversation wasnât over.
The drive back to your shared home was tense and filled with awkward silence. Hector didnât speak a word, just kept his eyes fixed on the road. You could practically feel the anger and frustration rolling off him in waves.
As you both walked up the steps to the front door, you knew the argument was far from over.
Hector stalked into the house without a word, leaving you to follow him inside. The moment you were both in the door, you decided it was time to address the issue.
âWe should talk,â you said, trying to keep your voice level. âAbout what happened tonight.â
Hector flung his keys on the counter and turned to face you. His expression was still stormy, but he didnât say anything. He just waited, his arms folded across his broad chest.
You took a deep breath, summoning up your courage. âYou really hurt me tonight, you know,â you began, your voice firm. âWith those things you said . . . accusing me of faking my emotions just to look good for the media. Do you really think thatâs true?â
Hector scowled and looked away. He was silent for a few moments, as if struggling to find the right words. When he finally spoke, his voice was soft and rough.
âI didnât mean it like that,â he muttered. âNot exactly. Itâs just . . . it makes me mad watching you act like everythingâs always so damn happy when itâs not. Like youâre not ever bothered when we lose or things go bad.â
He looked back at you, his eyes conflicted. âYou donât know what itâs like for me, to always have to be the serious one. To see how easily you smile and get along with everyone, while I just stand there and watch...â His words trailed off, leaving the rest unspoken.
Your heart softened slightly at his confession. Hectorâs words made you realize that he was just as vulnerable as you, just in a different way.
After a momentâs hesitation, you took a step closer to him. âYou donât have to be that way,â you said gently. âYou donât have to always be the serious one, the one holding it all together. You can let your guard down around me, at least.â
Hector looked away again, the muscles in his jaw working. Clearly, trusting others didnât come naturally to him. But your words had struck a chord â he didnât pull away when you moved closer.
âItâs okay to be vulnerable,â you said quietly, taking another small step forward. You hesitatingly reached out, touching his arm â a silent offer of comfort. âYou can be different with me. Iâm not going to judge you.â
Hector met your gaze, a mixture of vulnerability and defensiveness in his eyes. He didnât pull away from your touch, but he didnât lean into it either. He just stood there, caught between the need to keep his walls up and the desire to let someone in. Your boyfriend felt like he had to bear the weight of the world alone.
âYou donât always have to play the tough guy,â you said, your voice gentle. âYou donât have to push me away.â
Hector flinched at your words, as if they had hit a nerve. But he still didnât move away. He just stood there, his expression conflicted, his body rigid with tension.
You could sense that he was waging an internal battle against his own instincts. Hector had never been good at allowing others to get close. He was used to dealing with his emotions privately, alone and unassisted. Your relationship was testing those boundaries in ways heâd never had to face before.
Hector tensed as you reached up to touch his face, his body going instantly still. Your fingers traced the line of his chin, gently turning his head so that he was forced to meet your gaze.
He held it for a moment, his hard exterior crumbling slightly as he looked at you. He was searching your eyes, unsure whether to pull away or give in.
His shoulders sagged, the tension in his body finally releasing. Hectorâs eyes were still on yours, but his tough facade was gone. Now he just looked... lost.
He didnât resist as you gently pulled him forward, wrapping your arms around him in a tight embrace. Hector let out a deep sigh, burying his face in your shoulder.
Hector clung to you tightly, his frame shaking as he let out a choked sob. He gasped out several choked apologies, his voice rough and broken.
âIâm sorry... I didnât mean it... I justââ He cut himself off with a strangled gasp.
Your heart ached at the sight of him struggling to hold himself together. You had never seen him this defensless, this desperate before. This was raw, unfiltered emotion, the kind of thing he would never let the world see.
You held him tighter, one hand gently rubbing his back. âShh. Itâs okay. I know you didnât mean it cariĂąo.â
Hectorâs tremors subsided somewhat as you pressed a gentle kiss to his head. He clutched you tighter, as if afraid you would disappear if he let go.
He was clearly struggling to deal with his emotions after holding them in for so long. It was like a dam had burst inside him, and now all the feelings he so strictly controlled were pouring out, overwhelming him.
You could feel the tension in his body fading away, replaced instead by a desperate need for comfort. He was holding onto you tightly, seeking reassurance and comfort.
You continued to hold him, running your fingers through his hair and whispering soothing words into his ear. âIâve got you,â you murmured. âIâm here. Itâs okay. Let it out.â
Hector was shaking his head, still apologizing for his outburst. âI donât deserve you... youâre too good to me.â
You took his face in your hands, gently forcing him to look at you. âNo,â you said firmly. âYou donât get to talk like that. You deserve to be loved and comforted just as much as anyone else.â
Hector let out another choked sob at your words, his eyes squeezed tightly shut. Your own eyes were watering, seeing the man you loved so overwhelmed.
You gently kissed away his tears, wiping away his sorrow with your lips. âI love you,â you murmured, your voice thick with emotion. âYou do deserve this. You do deserve me.â
Hector looked wrecked, his eyes red-rimmed and his face damp from crying. He buried his face in the crook of your neck, his arms wrapped tightly around your waist. âWhy do you put up with me?â he mumbled, his voice hoarse from sobbing. âIâm such a jerk sometimes.â
You smiled gently as you held him, continuing to soothe him with gentle touches. âBecause I love you, you big idiot,â you replied, your voice soft. âThe good parts and the bad parts. All of you.â
Hector held onto you tightly, his body still shaking but his sobs calming down. As you held each other, he finally let the words slip from his lips. âI love you,â he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. âI do. Iâm sorry for being such a jerk. I just . . . I donât know how to handle all these damn feelings sometimes.â
You smiled at his confession, your heart swelling with love for this complicated man. âItâs okay,â you said softly, stroking his hair. âYou donât have to carry it all by yourself anymore, alright? Iâm here. Weâll figure it out together.â
Hector looked at you with a mixture of vulnerability and neediness. His defenses were gone, his walls completely shattered. He was open and unguarded, and something about the sight tugged at your heartstrings.
You gently cupped his face in your hands and leaned in, your lips meeting his with a tender touch. The kiss was soft and unhurried, filled with all the unspoken love and reassurance you wanted to give him.
Hector responded immediately, his lips moving gently against yours. A soft sigh escaped him as he deepened the kiss, his hands finding their way to your hips, pulling you closer as if he couldnât get enough of your touch.
You gently pulled away from the kiss, breaking the contact with a sigh. Hector looked dazed, his eyes still half-closed and his lips slightly parted. He followed your movement as you pulled back, as if unwilling to let you go.
You smiled at the sight of him, still unguardedly vulnerable as he stared up at you. âLetâs get you cleaned up baby,â you murmured, gently running a hand through his mussed hair. âYou look like a mess.â
Hector managed to summon up a weak smile, his usual teasing attitude returning. âYeah, well, thatâs what happens when you make a man cry, babe.â
You chuckled and rolled your eyes. âYeah, yeah, blame it on me,â you retorted, poking him playfully in the chest. âItâs definitely not because youâve been bottling up your feelings for so long.â
Hector huffed in mock annoyance, but there was no real ire behind it â his defenses had been thoroughly broken down by your love and compassion.
As the two of you continued to tease each other, it was clear that some barriers had been lowered. Hector might never be a master at processing and expressing his own feelings, but at least he wasnât shutting you out. For tonight, that was enough.

Summary: Being introduced to the mercâs friend and finding that she is just as annoying? Absolutely believable. Liking said annoying friend of even more annoying red suited anti-hero? No way.
In celebration of saving the multiverse, and returning home, Wade proposed holding another party. A do-over for his birthday celebration that was cut short because of the TVA. For the time being, Logan and Laura had taken to living in an apartment that was across the hall from them since it was all they could get on such short notice. Just about everyone was at the party, and Logan was having a surprisingly good time, considering some of the company.
He held the weird little dog-like creature named Mary Puppins while Laura fiddled with her little Mohawk. The girl took the dog from him, which allowed the man to grab his beer from the table and sit back to enjoy a drink. A knock sounded at the door, and he got nervous. Looking to Wade, he did not share in the nervousness, but rather looked excited. The merc got up from where he had been chatting with Vanessa to answer the door.
After some brief conversation, Wade brought in what could only be described as a ray of sunshine. Her clothing was muted, but her smile was not. Logan knew that his eyes were glued to her figure, as much as he tried to pull them away. A nudge at his side brought him out of his staring only to be met with Lauraâs impish smirk. He rolled his eyes and took another swig of his beer.
âPeanut, mini-peanut, I want you to meet my friend that introduced me to all the good things in life.â Wade supplied her name, but Logan was not listening. He was only focused on the way she beamed and stuck out her hand.
âLogan.â Short and sweet, and he listened as she rolled his name off of the tip of her tongue.
âHi. Iâm Laura,â she jutted in, sticking her hand in. The woman turned and was happily engaging with the young lady.
âIâm so happy to finally meet you guys. Wade has said nothing but good things about you.â Her chipper voice made it rather difficult for Logan to try and not like her.
Over the course of the party, the mutant was faced with a dilemma. His gruff exterior refused to allow him to do much else except sip his beer and engage quietly with Laura and Al. But he so desperately wanted to talk with this newcomer that Wade had brought. His eyes silently watched her during the evening, and it was confusing for him.
This woman was so happy, so full of life, and held so much sunshine in her. But just could not help himself. She was in the kitchen, fixing herself a drink and a small plate of snack foods. The lukewarm and empty bottle in his hands gave him the perfect excuse to get up and go into the kitchen where she was. Making his way in, she began to make her way out with her drink and plate, but a collision changed everything.
Turning, her body collided with a thick chest. Food spilled across the floor, and her cup fell from her hands, and she was about to join her food. Except, large warm hands spanned across her back and held her close. She let out a squeak. Looking with wide eyes, she was smiling as she gazed up at her savior.
âHi Logan,â she breathed out.
âHey bub. You alright?â His voice was soft, and caring as he assessed how she was.
âYeah. Yeah, Iâm good. Thank you.â Their eyes were locked together, but after a brief moment she had to peal away to grab the contents of her plate from the floor. She was soon joined by Logan, who came down and began to help.
âYou donât have to clean up my mess, you know?â She quipped, putting a nacho on the plate bound for the garbage.
âKind of is my fault though. Should at least help you clean up.â He replied, picking up a cookie that looked disgusting now.
âThank you, then.â
âYouâre welcome.â
From that point on, it seemed like she was everywhere he was. Logan did not believe in fate, and he did not want to ever admit to that out loud. And yet, he was starting to feel like something was dong this in the universe. It also probably did to help that she lived on the same floor of the apartment building as Wade and Logan.
All this to say, Logan was seeing her everywhere. At the store, at the mailboxes on the first floor, around town at her favorite coffee shop. She had even invaded his dreams. But the most frustrating part of it all, was that she had no clue how she affected him. Maybe he was not on his game like he had been in his long youth, but he was sure that he was giving her hints as to his feelings.
The stories he had heard through his time around her never ceased to amaze him as well. Somehow this clumsy cutie had almost gotten involved with the mob. She had to be saved by Wade who just came in and got her from getting deeper into the trouble that was brewing. Or the time that she was pulled over in a random search of her car driving home one night with a box of puppies someone had dumped on the side of the road. You would not expect it, but she had led an interesting life.
âWhatcha lookinâ at, peanut?â Logan was brought out of his thoughts by the annoying man he had begrudgingly befriended.
âNothing.â He grumbled, but that answer would not suffice Wade. Following the older manâs eye line, he was met with the image of the woman of his affections talking with Laura and Vanessa while holding Mary Puppins.
âOh, I see. Listen, peanut,â he began, âyouâve just gotta tell her you want to put some balls in holes for a ring. She wonât respond well to subtle hints.â
âWhat are you talking about?â
âAll Iâm saying is that youâve got to spell it out for her. Sheâs a little absent upstairs. Like, the wheel is spinning but the hamster is dead most of the time. And especially being around a hunk like you; that hamster died, came back to life, got off on your image, and then died again.â Now, Logan had turned to face the merc, who was maintaining an almost innocent expression on his face.
âShe just doesnât want me. And I donât blame her.â They both turned back to the women who were now laughing loudly at their best impressions of the pup.
âI know I make everything a punch line, but listen, Logan. She does. Iâve known that woman a long time, and she has never looked at everyone the way that she looks at you. Now Iâm going to get the dog, you go talk to the girl.â Patting him twice on the back, Wade shot the older man a wink before stalking off and taking the three ladies away from his friend.
She made an excuse about needing another drink and went off into the kitchen by herself. Logan followed her with his eyes, and looked nervously back to the wrinkled man. He was mouthing what he only hoped was words of encouragement that looked oddly like, âgo get the fucking girl.â Logan pulled a face, but went off in the same direction of the woman that had captivated him. Much like the first time they first properly talked, she was fixing herself a drink and a small plate of food.
âHey.â A low rumble sounded through the kitchen. The girl at the drink station got spooked by hm, but did not drop everything this time around.
âHey, Lo. How are you felling today?â She asked, genuinely turning to him.
âIâm doing alright. You good?â
âYeah, I am.â There was a beat of awkward silence in the room while they both made their drinks.
âHey, um, would you maybe-â Logan tried to start, but was struggling to find the words. She was just patiently waiting for him to finish his sentence.
âI want to go on a date with you.â He blurted out finally.
âMe? Really?â Her eyes were wide as she looked up at him. There was an adoration that he had not noticed before.
âYeah,â Logan breathed out, âyeah. I want to take you out. If youâd like.â
âI didnât think that you liked me like that. Iâd love to go out on a date with you, Logan.â Sweet words tumbled out of her, and they sent the man into a state of euphoria. Logan chuckled, and smiled wide enough that he could have split his face. With his arms open, she took that opportunity to throw herself into them which threw Logan off balance. He quickly regained it, but squeezed his arms around her still.
Safe to say, Logan was glad that he saved this timeline.

CHIHIRO | lh44
synopsis: and if all is too late, is there still a way to salvage what we once called love?
pairing: lewis hamilton x fem!reader (formerly), theo james x fem!reader (mentioned)
warnings: angst, heartbreak, (some) vulgar language, lots of dialogue, no use of y/n
word count: 2.1k
author's note: yes this is inspired by billie eilish's song 'chihiro' and also a bit by nicole's and lewis' relationship/break up!
tried to be experimental, please give me your honest opinion about this i beg you. this is also not proof read since i hate reading my own stuff!
Youâre fine.Â
Everythingâs fine.
Youâre so close.
No one can take this away from you now.
Taking a deep breath, the only thing you could concentrate on were your shaky hands in front of you, the many voices behind you overlapping and blurring into each other. You couldnât distinguish your motherâs voice from your sisterâs, or your bridesmaidâs from your friendâs. Your dad was out there somewhere, getting everyone to take their destined place to take one worry off your mind.Â
The dress you picked out months ago suddenly starts to suffocate you, the white blinding your eyes in an uncomfortable manner. You couldnât decipher what happened. A minute ago you felt like the most beautiful woman on earth and the next you felt like ripping off your own skin.Â
You have cold feet.
No, no I donât.
âI think I need some fresh air.â
The voices behind you stopped at once. There was a split second of awkward silence before you could hear some feet shuffling over to you. Your motherâs concerned face appeared in your view. You could tell she tried to hide her worry.Â
âAre you sure my darling?â She asked. You just nodded without looking into her eyes.
âYeah, I'm fine. Donât worry.â
Donât worry, your daughter is just having a panic attack.
âShould Savannah accompany you?â She looked at your sister, waving her over to help you up. You shook your head no.Â
âI just need a moment to calm down from all the excitement.â You lied to their faces, sending them your most believable smile you had in store. You were a great liar, the perks of being an actress.Â
Throwing over a soft robe to at least conceal some of the wedding dress, you hurried out of the suffocating room. You smiled and nodded at some of the people you passed by, trying to hold up your act of a happy bride. This is supposed to be the happiest day of your life after all.
Getting out of the small house next to the main one, you fled the eyes of the guests and escaped into the big, blossoming garden, finding your way into the massive maze that adorned the centrepiece. The old mansion behind you disappears from your sight and with each step away from the buzzing preparations of the wedding, your breath starts to normalise again.Â
Bending over and holding yourself up by your knees, you caught your breath. The heavy feeling started to disperse, your mind clearing up. Closing your eyes, you tried to focus on your surroundings.
The mild wind breezed through your hair and caressed your face, you could hear the leaves from the many hedgerows making up the maze and the water splashing softly against the fountain. Birds chirped in the distance and you could faintly make out some peopleâs voices up at the mansion.Â
And some footsteps approaching you.
âThe centrepiece of the hedge maze might not be the most convenient hiding spot.â
You tensed, your eyes snapping open and you straighten your back. He was behind you, so he couldnât see the shock written clearly all over your face.
âI didnât think youâd come.â You still hadnât turned around.Â
âIt would be rude to turn down a wedding invitation without a good reason.â He answered, and you could hear his steps getting louder and louder behind you.
He slowly came into view. You had yet to turn your head into his direction, but from the side you could see him sitting down on one of the stone benches next to you.Â
Finally, you turned your whole body to him. He wore a black suit, classic yet he made it seem so chic. His hair was braided back, his beard trimmed neatly and you could see some of his tattoos peeking out from underneath. Gold jewellery adorned his ears, his neck and hands.
He looked absolutely ethereal.
âAnd I figured if you didnât want me to be here, you wouldnât have invited me.â
You felt your body burn out of embarrassment. You didnât answer him, you just kept staring at him with your most neutral face you could muster.Â
âTheo was the one who suggested it.âÂ
He chuckled, and part of you wanted to melt right there.Â
âHeâs always been a gentleman.â
Silence. Birds chirping, leaves blowing, water splashing, the occasional yell from someone up the mansion.Â
âI see youâve got the venue you always wanted.â He looked around. âThe waiting list mustâve been long.â
âThey made an exception for us.â You kept your answers to a minimum.
âRight.â He nodded and kept admiring your surroundings. âThe perks of being rich and famous.â
His eyes found yours again, you felt your heart stop for a second before returning to a rather fast speed. You hoped you kept your cool at least from outside.
âYou look beautiful.â His eyes soften, the smile on his lips genuine.
âThank you.â You gave him a nod.
âTheo is a lucky man.â
You couldâve been that lucky man.
âSo they say.âÂ
He chuckled again. âYou used to be more talkative.â
âMaybe I just donât want to hold a conversation with you.â He laughed at your words, shaking his head.
âSay the words and I leave.â
You kept silent. He smiled.
âYou have cold feet.â You felt like an arrow just entered right in the middle of your guts. âThatâs why youâre out here and not up there.â
He analysed your body language.Â
Fuck, heâs always been good at reading you like an open book.
âYouâre scared.â He finalised his conclusion. âIâm just figuring out why⌠You always wanted this. Big engagement, great wedding, grand marriageâŚâ He placed his chin on his hands, his arms resting on his upper legs. âWhat are you scared of?â
You bit your lip, your arms felt heavy on your sides, your fingers started to fiddle with the material of the robe. You felt so naked in front of him, so insecure and exposed. Your breath starts to pick up again.
âWhat are you running from, my love?â
He felt your body language change up in pace, your neutral stance completely flipping over. He stood up, his face painted in worry as he approached you. âHey, I didnât mean-â
âFuck you, Lewis!â You took a step away and he stilled instantly. âDonât fucking call me your love!â
You breathed heavily, as if you were close to exploding from all the emotions flowing inside you. Maybe you were.
Youâre fine.Â
Everythingâs fine.
Youâre so close.
No one can take this away from you now.
You calmed yourself again.
The birds are chirping.
The leaves are blowing.
The water is splashing.
The wedding is happening.
âIâm sorry.â You apologised. âI shouldnât have said that.â
Lewis looked at you, you avoided his gaze. You could sense him sitting down again.Â
âI think you swearing at me is the closest Iâve seen from the you I know.â
âWell, you donât know me anymore.â You snapped. âYou havenât in years.â
He sighed. âYeah, I guess I havenât.â
You sighed too, your hands dropping to your sides again. You know you should just leave and return to your girls. They were probably already looking for you.Â
Yet you took one step after the other and sat down next to him.Â
âI am scared.â You confessed. You didnât know why you were telling him this. Maybe because you felt like he was the only person you could talk to. âIt was supposed to be you.â
Your mother would kill you for having such thoughts and your friends wouldnât understand. Your sister would roll her eyes at you and god forbid your future mother-in-law knows about any of the doubts you had about marrying her son.
âI know.â His words made you smile sadly.Â
You looked at him and he looked at you. You donât think anyone has ever looked at you the way he did. No one, not even Theo.
âYou were always meant to be a bride.â He twirled a strand of hair of yours between his fingers. âI just wasnât meant to be a groom.â
You looked away and he let go of your hair, his hand lingering for a second in the air before dropping onto his lap.Â
âI know.â Now he was the one smiling sadly.
You fiddled with the bow holding together your robe. Your thoughts were racing, but none made sense.Â
âYou shouldnât be scared.â He took your hand in his, his fingers playing with your engagement ring. âYou wouldnât be wearing this if it was wrong to marry him.â
âSometimes I catch myself thinking what ring Iâd be wearing if you had been ready at the time.â You breathed out, leaning back against the bench. âAnd then I feel silly thinking that way about a man who has broken me in a way I thought I was never going to recover from it.â You snatched away your hand from his grip.
You heard him sigh next to you. He held his face in his hands and you could tell he was ashamed of his past actions. âI was an asshole.â
You chuckled at his words bitterly. âYeah, you were.â
There was some understanding silence between you. This time it didnât feel uncomfortable, no, more reassuring. He knew, you knew. There was no need to focus on your surroundings.
âI donât think I want you at my wedding.â You breathed shakingly, unsure how heâd react to your words. You looked at him on your side. He was already staring at you. His eyes were sad, yet he understood you. He always did.
âCan you do me a favour?â He asked. âCan you show me your dress?â
Without any further words, you stood up and unveiled yourself from your robe. He sucked in a breath.
It wasnât particularly extravagant. The simple cut hugging you perfectly as if it was custom made for you. Maybe because it was. The designer of your choice had outdone themselves, keeping it the exact same way you had envisioned it.Â
Elegant, modern, ethereal.
It took Lewis a minute to compose himself. He never thought heâd see you in a wedding dress. Part of him regrets that he asked you to show yourself to him.
âYouâre an angel.â You donât look like an angel, you are an angel. You blushed.
You took your robe again, covering yourself up as much as you could. âThank you.â
For a second you stood there and took a deep look at him. The way he sat there, it had changed. Before, he looked so confident, so sure of himself. After he saw you in your dress, you werenât sure what to make of him.
He looked small.
âI should go.â You couldnât bear it any longer. Youâve already talked too much to him.
Why were you still here?Â
You turned around without waiting for his response. Taking the ends of your dress in your hand, you made sure to not get any dirt on it as you stepped away from the man you once loved. Once.
âI think-â
You staggered, halting in your movements. You were a few feet away from him, already at the entrance of the maze to make your way out of it. Turning around, you saw him as he stood up.Â
âI think maybe I wouldâve been ready.â He nodded unsure. âAt one point.â
You stared at him, your lips pressed against each other.Â
âI think I was overwhelmed by it all. My career, my team, you⌠Thatâs why I ran away.â
You kept staring at him without uttering a word, your dress still held up slightly. He continued.
âI think I see that vision of yours now.â He took a shaken breath. âItâs really beautiful.â
You felt your stomach twist and your hands grabbing the material of your dress more aggressively. Why did he tell you all this now? Was he trying to sabotage you? Heâs done it once, you needed to make sure he wouldnât do it again. Not this time, never again.
You cleared your throat. âI meant it, donât come to my wedding.â
âWait, I-â
âLewis,â You interrupted him. âMy love isnât yours anymore. Youâre the one who needs to let go now.â
And with that you turned your back to him, your face looking up at the mansion that stood upon you. Your future lay there. He couldnât stop you anymore.
Youâre fine.Â
Everythingâs fine.
Youâre so close.
No one can take this away from you now.
Youâve never looked back again.

NFWMB (Nothing Fucks With My Baby)
Pairing:Â Reader x Venom
Word Count:Â 2.4k
Warnings:Â you get kidnapped, there's some cannon level violence, nothing to write home about <3
Genre: idk if I should really classify this as angst fr but the ending is fluffy!
Summary:Â Carnage returns, his mission remains the same; kill Venom. And he plans to use you to do it.
Based on this ask by @weebnotheree (thank you so much for the request, I know it took a while so I appreciate your patience, I hope you like it <3)
***
"Hey y/n!" Your coworker skirts over to your desk with curious excitement.
"Yes?" You glance up from your computer at her.
"Your boyfriend is a reporter isn't he?"
"Correct. Where is this going exactly?"
"Well do you think he'd be able to come cover the charity gala this weekend?" She asks.
"He doesn't really- cover this sort of thing? He'd need to get assigned to it. But I can check with him, he can ask his boss and maybe they'll send someone else down." You concede. It can't hurt, after all, you do need the exposure for the event anyway.
Hours later, after you've both gotten home from work and eaten dinner. You're winding down for the day with Eddie by watching a show together when you propose the question from your coworker.
"Eddie quick question." You say, not lifting your head from his shoulder.
"Yeah?" He's been tracing patterns against your leg for the past ten minutes.
"Do you think you could come cover the charity gala this weekend? My coworker Dani thought it'd be a good idea." You tell him.
"I don't usually write those sorts of pieces." He hums.
"I know I told her, but I also told her I'd ask anyway. It doesn't have to be you, if your boss sends someone else that's fine. We're just aiming to get more eyes on the event." You shrug.
"I'll talk to my boss. He'll probably send someone. Not me though."
"Yeah that's fine, I know these aren't your thing, you don't have to come." You say.
"Say what?" You feel him shift to look at you.
"I drag you to enough work functions. I'll let you skip out on this one." You pat his chest lightly.
"Don't have to tell me twice." Eddie snorts turning back to the TV.
"Technically I already did tell you twice." You chuckle.
"Smartass." He pinches your thigh.
"Always." You sit up just to wink at him.
The following day, you are accosted by Dani pretty much as soon as she walks into the office.
"Did you ask him?"
"Ask who, what Dani?" You ask though you know exactly what she's talking about. "Also have you forgotten that the proper way to start a conversation is with a greeting? What happened to hi? What happened to how are you?"
"Hi, how are you? Did you ask your boyfriend about covering the gala?" She says.
"Hi Dani, I'm doin' alright. How are you?" You ask her.
"Y/n!" She huffs.
"Yes Dani I asked. He said he'd talk to his boss. Knowing Eddie, someone will probably be at the gala. It's handled." You finally cave and give her the answers she came for.
"You're the best!" She tells you.
"I know, thanks." You chuckle. You shrug.
The day of the gala is chaos from the minute preparations start. It's not really anything that surprises you and you've been handling everything that comes your way with ease.
"Y/n!" Your coworker Wendy grabs your attention when you're sorting out something with one of the photographers.
"Yes Wendy?" You aks.
"The uh catering staff is here do you know where they're supposed to-"
"They just got here?! They were supposed to be here an hour ago! Who was on that? They should've been checking for- oh never mind! Their tables are over there on that wall and tell them to hurry Wen the event is literally starting." You sigh pointing her in the right direction. The event is just gaining momentum, doors opened about twenty minutes ago and aside from the catering situation that has just been taken care of, as far as you know, everything is precisely as it should be. At least you hope so since you did come here a couple of hours in advance to make sure things were ready. You aren't technically in charge of this event but you are naturally better at organizing chaos and these events tend to be a bit of a frenzy on the day no matter how prepared you are in advance.
Tonight is your company's annual charity gala. Every year the board votes on a cause to raise money for by hosting a huge party. This year's cause is a charity that supports kids getting involved in the arts. There are a bunch of art projects on display, some of which will be up for auction at the end of the evening, but the goal is to shmooze with the community members effectively enough that they want to support the charity. You spend most of these galas working optics; talking to reporters, setting up pictures, and just generally organizing things throughout the night. As part of the company's public relations department events like these are your specialty. Carefully curating the perception of everything that goes on here tonight with the help of the other members of the department here tonight.
You're pleased to say that a couple of hours in, the event is going off without a hitch. Once it's in full swing, you have your hands full giving statements to different press outlets and sending photographers to snap the board of directors with guests of the event. Just as you're preparing the host for his introductory speech, you notice a small crowd gathering by one of the large glass windows overlooking the city.
"What's going on over there?" The host frowns at you.
"I'm- not sure. Probably just some nightlife chaos got people's attention." You shrug but before you can walk up the stage there's a shout from a few of the guests followed by the sound of shattered glass as something crashes through that large window. The room erupts into chaos as red goop shoots out at people. It only takes you a couple of moments to realize the thing currently ruining your gala is Carnage. You didn't meet him or anything last time they faced off, but Eddie gave you enough of a description to come to that conclusion when you spot the bright red tentacles and eyes so like Venom's but different at the same time.
"You have got to be fucking kidding me." You huff quietly from where you're crouched behind a curtain with the gala host.
"What is that thing?!" He hisses.
"Doesn't matter. Find the nearest exit and run like hell." You tell him.
"What?! You want me to go out there?! What if it sees me?" He shakes his head. You poke your head out just enough to see Carnage. Weirdly enough he just seems to be picking up people and dropping them on the ground again.
"You ever seen that thing before?" You ask.
"God no!"
"He's looking for something. Unless you think it's you, I'd suggest taking the risk before he starts getting snackish!"
"W-what?!"
"We know you're here! We did our RESEARCH!" The man beside you is practically shaking as Carnage's deep voice rings through the room.
"He's coming this way, you have to move now." You say.
"What about you?"
"He's more likely to notice two of us. I'll be out after you." You're so busy directing the guy you don't realize how close Carnage is to you all until the curtain you're behind is ripped off its bar.
"AHA! THERE YOU ARE!"
"GO! GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" You shout to the guy as Carnage reaches for- you. He's reaching for you, you realize only when one spindly spider-like appendage wraps around your waist.
"How noble of you. We weren't after him- but if you must be the hero-" Carnage easily reaches the scrambling host before he can get to the door and all you can do is shut your eyes tight when Carnage lifts him up. It's only when his screams stop suddenly and something warm drips onto your arm that you're sure is blood. You don't dare to check what Carnage has done, but if you had to guess, he bit his head off; much like Venom does when you or Eddie allows him to. Your eyes only shoot open when Carnage starts to move again, swinging back out the hole he came in through and taking you through the city. You're in the air for quite some time before eventually, Carnage drops you, rather gently for a kidnapper, on the ground inside a dusty building.
"Hello, little thing." Carnage says to you.
"I could have sworn Venom dealt with you already." You cross your arms.
"Almost. I was lucky to escape."
"Unfortunate for the rest of us." You muse.
"Rude!"
"Let me remind you that you did kidnap me so excuse me if I'm not kind." You roll your eyes. "I take it my role is to lure Venom to you? Right?"
"Correct. He cares for you. So he will come."
"Of course, he will. Though, disrupting my work event was an unnecessary scene just to lure him out to- where are we?"
"An old firehouse!"
"Wow you really are a baby." You scoff realizing he's chosen another location where loud noise is common.
"Excuse me?"
"Nothing nothing. I presume you have a different host now right? That other guy, the serial killer, died the last time, didn't he?"
"I am bonded to his blood! I can regenerate!"
"I'm sorry- so you regenerated⌠an entire head for your last host?"
"Yes!"
"That is- very strange." You frown. "Still, this place doesn't hold sentimental value to Cletus so- how will they find you?"
"Oh just call them." Cletus makes an appearance, finally, and rolls his eyes as he makes his request.
"Call them? You want me to call them and lead them to where you plan to kill them?"
"Yes. Or I'll kill you."
"That would be stupid. Killing me won't get you what you want." You scoff.
"CARNAGE! YOU TOOK MY CHOCOLATE DROP! I'M GOING TO RIP YOU TO SHREDS!!"
"Guess we don't need to call him." Carnage says pushing you into the fire engine that's collecting dust in the unused building.
"WAS DYING ONCE NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU?!" Venom stomps towards Carnage.
"Father. I'm not that easy to get rid of!"
"EVIDENTLY!" Venom charges at Carnage and the two of them are quickly destroying the old brick firehouse you're occupying. From inside the fire truck you're in, it's hard to tell who's winning for most of the fight. It's all too quick and too fluid the way they're throwing each other around. By the time you've gotten a handle on what's going on between the duo, Carnage has Venom pinned to one of the walls that they haven't totally ruined already. Frantically you turn towards the control panel of the fire engine, you can't imagine it's still fully operational but there's a chance you can find some way to make noise with this thing. You need to give Venom the upper hand somehow.
"V!" You shout and cover your ears for only a moment before pressing as much of your weight as you can into the horn of the truck and hoping for the best. You can't explain the relief that you feel when that horrid loud noise fills the small space and Carnage screeches. You let up on the horn once he stumbles away from Venom, his attention on you now that you've gotten involved.
"You!" Carnage snarls. You lay into the horn again before he can get to you and the sound seems to disrupt him enough to almost completely separate him from Cletus. You let up when Eddie has crept up behind them and Venom takes over to fully rip Carnage from Cletus by force. You didn't think that was possible and it is extremely strange to watch. Venom grabs Cletus with an extra appendage and holds him far in the air as he eats the angry red goop that is Carnage.
"EVEN WORSE THE SECOND TIME." Venom grumbles and you can't help but giggle a little. The noise makes Venom wink at you before turning his attention to Cletus. "THIS TIME STAY DEAD!" Venom says before biting his head off, out of your line of sight. You come out of the fire truck just in time to catch him dropping the body.
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Venom runs over to you and lifts you into his arms so you're eye level with him as he looks over you for injuries.
"I'm fine V. He didn't actually hurt me. You got here so quickly." You muse.
"EDDIE WAS WATCHING COVERAGE OF YOUR GALA." Venom explains.
"It was going so well until he crashed it." You pout. "You don't have any other errant children we should know about right Venom?"
"NO. NOT THAT I KNOW OF." Venom shrugs lowering you back to the ground.
"Good because this kidnapping thing is very inconvenient." You say. Eddie chooses that moment to reappear and he quickly wraps his arms around you.
"Y/n, baby, thank fuck you're okay. I am so sorry." He breathes out.
"You're sorry? What for?" You frown as you hug him back.
"If I had just come to the damn gala in the first place-" You pull back and hold Eddie's face in your hands to make sure he hears what you say next.
"No. It wouldn't have changed anything. In fact, it would actually have been worse I think. There were hundreds of people in that building and we were on one of the higher floors. The casualties if you had fought him there would have been so not worth it. This was the best outcome. I'm sure there were several injuries but I think there was only one death besides him so- don't apologize. Especially because there was no way you could've predicted him crashing my event. Don't blame yourself because other than a ruined charity gala and the inconveniences that come with a kidnapping, I've barely got some scrapes. You two did well." You tell him.
"We couldn't have done it without you. The fire horn was a great idea."
"Yeah well, you were going to die. And I didn't have any fire." You shrug. "We should get out of here though, I can't imagine it'll take much longer for authorities to get here in search of the red monster that crashed a charity event." You add.
"True. The party looked beautiful by the way. You know, before Carnage trashed it." Eddie says scooping you into his arms.
"Thank you baby." You kiss his cheek just before Venom appears again to take you all home.
"I WANT A KISS TOO! I DID ALL THE WORK."
"You can have as many kisses as you want V." You say kissing his cheek too as he walks out of the trashed fire station with you in his hold.
"I WANT ALL THE KISSES THEN!" He declares as he swings you both up into the air.
"Once we get home I'll kiss you til my lips fall off if you so wish my love." You giggle.
"NOT THAT MANY! IF THEY FALL OFF I WON'T GET ANY MORE IN THE FUTURE!"
"Okay okay. Reasonable amount of kisses, once we get home. Deal?"
"DEAL!" Venom says before taking off from building to building to get you home. There's no such thing as normal when your boyfriend is sharing his body with an alien you suppose, but you wouldn't have it any other way.

lens of ice | yjh | one
pairing: jeonghan x f!reader
genre: figure skater jeonghan, light angst, a little fluff, smut in the next part
word count: 12k
summary: jeonghan has only one chance left to make it to the olympics. as he embarks on this decisive journey, you, a documentarist, are set to follow him as he seeks the ultimate glory.
warnings: jeonghan is kind of reckless with his body
a/n: i've been writing this one for so long now and though it's not finished yet, i decided to post half of it, as a way to motivate myself to finish it. i really wanna thank @ressonancee first for giving me idea and second for helping me through all of this and putting up my crazy ass mind đ
part one | part two (final)
The light buzzing of the fluorescent lights made him uncomfortable, it was like a premonition of what was to come. Something bad, he was sure.
Jeonghan was many things in his life, stubborn perhaps being the most obvious one, but dumb wasn't one then. He knew that his ankle was fucked up, that he was probably the cause of it. Too many hours of training, never giving himself enough time to heal before he got the ice again. He didn't know exactly how bad it was, that was for the doctor in front of him to say, but Jeonghan knew that nothing good would come out of the man's mouth.
"It's worse than I thought," the man said with a sigh, taking off his glasses "It's not just your ankle anymore, it's also your knee. And, I could be wrong, but considering the way you're walking, I'd say that you're right ankle also started to bother you"
Jeonghan hung his head. He was an athlete and he knew that he was being reckless, beyond actually. He should have gone to his coach the second he felt a sharp pain in his ankle. But he just went home, took an ice bath, and kept the whole thing to himself. Even on the following days, when the pain didn't go away at all, he still chose to keep his mouth shut and go to practice every day. And his coach, unaware of his condition, kept pushing him during practice.Â
Not that he needed anyone to be harsh on him, Jeonghan did all of that on his own. But having someone else do that for him as well brought out a different desire for perfection. One that came from a dark place to show someone else that he was good, to prove people wrong.
"Can I still compete?" was all he asked, it was the only thing that mattered to him "Can I make it to the Olympics? It's the last one for me, after this I retire"
The look on the doctor's face wasn't reassuring, Jeonghan knew that his next words wouldn't be the ones he wanted. He wasn't about to hear what he needed.
"If, and only if, you have surgery, take physical therapy seriously, and rest as we instruct you, there might be a possibility. Small, but it exists"Â
"When can I have the surgery?"
You stared at your computer screen, a hand on your forehead as you read the email your boss sent you. You sat at your desk, not really knowing what to do.
"Seungkwan!" you called without looking up "Did you get this email too?"
Just to make sure that you weren't crazy, you read it once again. The third time in less than five minutes. No matter how many times you read it, it didn't change.
"Yeah. I'm excited but scaredâŚ"
That was enough to get your attention.
"Why?"Â
Closing your laptop, you stood up moving closer to Seungkwan. Unlike you, who read the email many times, Seungkwan had already started his research. Not that he really needed to, everyone at the office knew that he was a huge fan of figure skating. So of course he would know all about Yoon Jeonghan.
The nation's pride and joy in figure skating, at least in the make category.
"Why scared? I thought everyone loved him"
It was impossible to look away from the picture Seungkwan had open on his computer. Jeonghan's face really was something else, as if he had been carved in marble by some ancient Greek artist. From his dark hair covering his eyes, giving him almost a mysterious vibe, to the way his lips were slightly crooked into a smile. You had to give it to him, the man was absolutely stunning. No wonder he left a trail of fans everywhere he went.
"He isn't the biggest enthusiast when it comes to the press. He barely gives interviews so I guess doing a documentary about him won't be easy"
Seungkwan kept scrolling, reading the latest news on Jeonghan. But the truth was that there wasn't any. His social media was also rarely updated, the last post was from months before.
"Well, good luck to you"
"What do you mean? You're the one in charge"
You just shook your head. The problem was Jeonghan honestly, you barely knew anything about him, though Seungkwan's words didn't help the case. The thing was that you barely knew anything at all about sports, in general, much less about figure skating. Lack of knowledge was an easy fix. The real issue was the fact that a documentary on a sport was way too different from what you usually did.
"I'm not doing this one. I have other projects I want to work on. Plus, this is too sudden. They want us to start tomorrow, Seungkwan. Do you really think that it's possible to have anything done by tomorrow?" he shook his head and you nodded in agreement "Precisely, so I'm sure that if we talk with JihoonâŚ"
"Nothing will change"Â
A curse left your lips at the sudden voice behind you. Turning around you faced the small man. Jihoon had his arms crossed over his chest and the look in his eyes that told you that no matter what he wouldn't let you off the hook. Still, you had to try.
"Jihoon, I'm not your sports person. And it's too soon. I don't anything about Jeonghan or figure skating"
Jihoon simply shook his head at you.
"They want a different approach than the average sports documentary, so I recommended you. I'm sending Seungkwan with you because I know this isn't your area of expertise, though I highly suggest you do some sort of research" he turned around to leave with a wave of his hand then turned around for a second, as if remembering something "Hansol will be your camera and sound guy. They asked for a small crew"
With a salute Jihoon left.
"Fuck"
You couldn't take your eyes away from the crutches under Jeonghan's arms and the orthopedic boot around his left leg. There was not a single article that pointed to surgery. There were plenty about his constant injuries though. Seungkwan had the same look on his face, of pure shock.Â
"Are you okay?" you asked once he made himself comfortable on the couch.
Jeonghan sat sideways on the couch, his leg propped up over cushions. The position looked weird but he didn't seem to mind.
"Ah, this" he pointed at his leg nonchalantly, as if it was the most normal thing "Yeah, it's okay. Had to get the surgery done in order to make it to the next Olympic"
Nodding, you looked around. His apartment wasn't as big as you had expected. In fact, the three of you stood closely together in the living room, a bit too small for all the gear Hansol said he needed.
"Put your things down, let's talk. I don't know how this is going to work"
Me neither, you wanted to say but kept your mouth shut. Thankfully, Seungkwan was there to help you.
"Before we start any real interview or conversation, I think we have to tell you that this was very last minute for us. We only heard about this documentary yesterday, in the middle of the afternoon" he used his kindest voice, his voice laced with concern and a hit of fear, maybe "yn is in charge, she's the documentarist, she'll be asking the questions and dictating the overall direction that we're going to take with the documentary. I'm Seungkwan and that's Hansol. This is the smallest crew he could assemble"
Seungkwan was giving too many explanations, you felt. But he also wasn't wrong. What he did was normal, he was just introducing the crew. Maybe you were a little irritated by the way you were tossed into this job, without someone giving you enough time to prepare. Sixteen hours were barely enough.
"I assume my⌠reputation has gotten to you," Jeonghan said, a small smile on his lips.
A reputation he had indeed. Jeonghan was known for not liking the press and journalists. He avoided them at all costs and once, on one occasion, was seen being rude. And honestly, you had to give him a pass for it. Pushing the camera away from his face, almost delicately, could barely be considered rude at such a moment. There were way too many cameras around, all of them on his face, trying to get some sort of pronouncement on why he had not made it to the podium.Â
And that had been years before but people still remembered him by that one moment. But what exactly did they expect? He underperformed, came in fourth place, and injured himself in the process. Was anyone expecting a happy and bright Jeonghan?Â
"You can be comfortable around me. A conversation like this is fine. I just don't like being swarmed"Â
Though his words were inviting, his face told a whole different story. He clearly didn't want this documentary.
"All of our interactions will be recorded," you told him, not leaving room for arguments on his end "These first few minutes aren't, out of courtesy and so that we can set our goals. I need to know if you're uncomfortable with anything, or something that you don't want to be filmed, either right now or before we turn the cameras on. Once we start, we won't stop"
Jeonghan adjusted his position on the couch, his eyes never leaving you. It was like he was measuring your every move. He didn't like your tone, and how aggressive you were towards him.Â
"I know this was last minute and I apologize for that. This is going to be my last run and, as much as I hate to admit, I'm a bit sensitive to it.
With furrowed eyebrows, you nodded. Jeonghan knew that you didn't believe him or that you cared about his reasons. He knew that the sole reason you were there was because someone made you.Â
"Will you need to film my family?"Â
"Yes, usually film family members to get a complete idea of someone's life"Â
Turning around you nodded at Hansol, telling him to start setting up. With a shake of his head, Seungkwan moved to help him.
"I don't want my family to know the extent of my injuries. So if you only want them for context, to know about me as a child, that's fine. But they can't know anything about this" Jeonghan pointed at his leg "I've been hiding this for a very long time and I'd like to keep it that way"
You dropped your bag on the couch, eyes tired and mind filled with one too many thoughts. The day had been easier than you expected, far more so.Â
Based on Seungkwan's words you had expected to fight with Jeonghan in a way. It was a documentary so you needed him to talk and talk he did. There was no question unanswered or dodged, all of his answers were precise and consistent. All of it had sounded fake like he had rehearsed them a million times.
Even if you thought that your question had been good, and had caught him off guard, Jeonghan seemed to be fully prepared for it. He didn't hesitate for a second.Â
In the few hours you spent around him, you finally managed to understand the fascination most people had with him. He was handsome, yes, but that was just the very basic and surface level of him. Beyonce that he was also good with his words. It was hard to tell that he was lying because he talked with conviction. After just one interview you were sure that if one day Jeonghan decided to tell you that your mom wasnât actually your mother, youâd somehow believe him.
And the man knew all of it. He was aware of his beauty and charm, of what it did to normal people, and he used it in his favor. Jeonghan knew that most people couldnât resist a handsome talented man. And that was a part he was all too willing to fill.
âYeah,â you answered your phone, not bothering to see who it was, certain that it was just Jihoon.
âHow was it today?â he sounded just as tired as you felt and you couldnât help but wonder if he was okay.
âFineâ
âJust fine?â
You turned on your back, facing the ceiling, or at least whatever you could see with the lights turned off - not a whole lot, to be honest.
âHe lied through his teeth today. There was no manager, and no coach around, though I do remember him saying someone would come. The person never showed upâ you sighed âSeungkwan hates and Vernon probably thinks Iâm a crazy bitch. So yeah, just fineâ
Jihoon laughed on the other side of the line and you felt the little butterflies in your stomach come to life. You rolled your eyes at yourself. How pathetic it was of you, to have a crush on your boss. How very much bland of you.
Growing up, like a lot of girls that were influenced by way too much TV, you had wanted the be the odd one out. The Iâm one of the guys kind of girl, or the one who refused to wear any kind of makeup or even come close to the pink because that was just girly for you. And now there you were, in love with the color pink, finding excuses to wear pretty dresses, and having a crush on your boss.
Teenage you would throw eggs at your head if she had the chance.
âOkay, but how was Jeonghan?â Jihoon pressed even further.
You sighed and closed your eyes, covering over face with your hand.
âHe was polite, answered all of my questions, had a pleasant smile the entire time, and only asked for a bathroom break while we were there. Offered us food and drinks. He was fineâ you said again, emphasizing the fine.
You could picture Jihoon, nodding his head and looking at the floor, probably thinking of what to ask next.
âWhy would Seungkwan hate you? And why would Vernon think youâre a bitch?â
âSeungkwan thinks I went too hard on Jeonghan and Vernon just trusts Seungkwanâs judgment and goes with itâ
Jihoon laughed again and you heard him moving around.
âClassic yn, going at someone while sheâs angry. At least your anger was sort of directed to the right personâ
âWhat is that supposed to mean?â you sat up.
You liked to think that you didnât act that way all the time. In your mind, most of the time, you were able to hide your anger and just play nice like your mother had taught you to be. Jihoonâs words told a completely different story.
âHave some rest, thereâs still a lot of work to do. Tomorrow youâre going with him to rehab, right?â Jihoon paused for a second and you heard a female voice in the back, you couldnât make out what she said but you were sure of who it belonged to âI have to go. Weâll talk next weekâ
The line was disconnected and leaned back on the couch again. The problem of having a crush on your boss was also the fact that he had a long-time girlfriend and soon he was supposed to be marrying her.
You groaned, wondering if you had gone far enough that there was no going back from this crush.
You sat across from Jeonghan once again, the position exactly the same as the first day. But this time you chose to be less irritable.
The other day you were frustrated because you had to give up other projects to be able to accompany Jeonghan and that, thinking rationally, had nothing to do with him. He asked for a specific documentary filmmaker profile and you were chosen by the studio. Maybe it was more your fault than his. But it was also a no-return kind of situation. The job was assigned to you and there was nothing you could do to change it. So the least you could do was do your best and pray that it didnât take a turn for the worse.
And, if anything, the conversation with Jihoon helped you focus on work. It wouldn't be the first time you were doing something you didn't want to do and it certainly wouldn't be the last. So you decided that the best thing to do was just work, showing your professional side that had been left aside before.
Jeonghan looked at you the same way, eyes serious as if he was ready for a new attack.
"Thank you," he said to Vernon, who had just placed the microphone inside his jacket, so that he could pick up the sound well, but it was not visible to the camera.
You turned to Seungkwan and Vernon, waiting for confirmation from the two that you could begin. You received a wave from each of them after they checked that the cameras were on and recording.
You took a deep breath and turned to Jeonghan.
"I wanted to apologize for yesterday," you said "I wasn't fair to you. I was irritated by things that had nothing to do with you, but I somehow decided that they did"
Everyone in Jeonghan's living room seemed to hold their breath, you included. You didn't know what to expect from Jeonghan, not really. You had been anything but ungracious with him, in a way that to most people meant that any door between you two had closed.
Jeonghan decided, at that moment, that he had two options: a) he could let the previous day dictate how all interactions between the two of you from then on would be, and it would be many months of a bad relationship that would bring no benefit to anyone involved in it; or b) he could accept your apology, which seemed sincere enough, and let go of the discomfort he felt.
Option b was actually the only possible choice.
âOkayâ he finally smiled âmy reputation isnât the best, either wayâ
Seungkwan and Vernon breathed a sigh of relief. It was as if a huge gray cloud had moved away and the weather was beginning to clear.
âNo, your reputation had no influence. I was the one who lost my hand because of my problems and for that, I apologizeâ you said and you were sincere in your words âBut Jeonghan, I need you to stop seeing me as your enemy. I need you to be honest with me.â
You hoped Jeonghan could understand what you were saying.
âYou think I wasnât honest?â he tilted his head as if analyzing you.
âIn the same way that you don't want your reputation to affect the way I see you, I need you to not let the way you see other journalists affect the way you see me. I want to tell your story, however you want it told, but I need you to be honest with me.â
You hoped Jeonghan could understand what you were saying.
He was silent for a minute, his eyes fixed on his hands. His hair covered his face, so it was hard to get an idea of what was going through his head.
You looked at Seungkwan, seeking confirmation that you hadnât been rude. He seemed to be as lost as you were, but the small smile he gave you was enough to make your restless heart rest for a second.
âWhat if I say something and regret it later?â
It was the first time Jeonghan looked insecure and it was a strange sight, but much more realistic than the other version of him.
âWe can edit it, itâs not a problem. I said that because I was angryâ you said apologetically once again.
âCan we throw it all away and start again?â
Jeonghan smiled and you had no choice but to smile along with him.
âLetâs start with whatâs happening now,â you said, folding your legs under your body, notebook open to a blank page and a pen ready to take notes âYou underwent surgery not long ago, right? Why?"
Jeonghan took a deep breath, eyes closed for a second before placing all his attention on you. His gaze was almost too intense. You had to force yourself not to look anywhere but at him.
âA few years ago I fell during training and twisted my ankle. At the time, it wasn't a big deal and if I had stayed quiet for a few weeks, and did everything right, I wouldn't have had any problems. But I couldn't do it, I was preparing for a competition. I didn't tell anyone about the problem and just endured the pain. When I participated in the competition I fell again and that only made the situation worse. Today I have a problem with my ligament and tendon.â
With every word that left his mouth, you felt like a lump was forming in your throat, and with every second it was getting bigger.
Unlike the day before, it didn't seem like Jeonghan was lying, but you didn't know if you wanted the truth he was sharing. Even if it was a lie, a character he had created, the version of Jeonghan from before was a little brighter, a little more present in the moment. The version of him that was in front of you, that you imagined to be the closest to reality, was almost sad, detached from everything.
âBecause I forced my right knee a lot, trying to compensate for the lack of my left one, I developed a problem with that one tooâ
âYouâve never talked about your injuries before, right?â he nodded âWhy talk now?â
He was silent again, his lower lip caught between his teeth. That was a great question, one that not even Jeonghan himself knew exactly how to answer.
âI'm not sure, to be honestâ he laughed a little. Instead of looking directly at the camera, his eyes were focused on you âSomeone came up with the idea at some point and it didn't seem like a bad one, but I think it will only work if I make it to the Olympics.â
âIs that the ultimate goal then, to get to the Olympics?â
He shook his head, that fearless, confident look you had only seen in photos finally making itself known.
âNo, the ultimate goal is to winâ
As promised, Jeonghan waited for you, Seungkwan, and Vernon outside the clinic. He was nowhere to be seen, really, but the car his assistant informed you of was parked right in front of the door.
You were the first one to exit your own car, while Seungkwan and Vernon prepared the camera to follow along. You could only assume he was the manager. Terribly young for a manager, sure, but a manager nonetheless.
âI assume youâre inâ he extended a hand to you âIâm Joshuaâ
âHiâ
The exchange of words with Joshua was quick, no more than half a dozen. You didn't have much to talk about with him and he wasn't your priority, at least not at the moment. Later, at some other time, talking to him would be great. He had introduced himself as a friend/manager of Jeonghan. Having his point of view would be great and could contribute a lot, but your eyes couldn't leave Jeonghan.
His hair was tied back, but a cap covered much of his face. He had barely said hi to you or the other two. It wasn't a big surprise. While it was true that made up to a certain extent, you didn't expect him to simply welcome you with open arms, but his reaction was strange - or as strange as the reaction of a person you knew little, or nothing, could be.
âCan we film it?â You asked.
Jeonghan stopped and turned towards you. He had forgotten that you and your team would attend his first physical therapy session, but it seemed like the right thing to do.
Since the last time you saw each other, Jeonghan spent hours on end watching documentaries made by you and they all had one thing in common: they were almost like video logs. You followed everyone around documenting every tiny aspect of their lives. All those people told their stories and didn't seem afraid of having their lives exposed. And perhaps for people who didn't lead lives where they had been exposed too much, sincerity came easily.
For Jeonghan, that was never the case.
Being treated as the future, a promise of the sport, had brought a lot of harm and situations that neither he, nor anyone else, had the option to deal with or even, perhaps, ignore.
Cameras were pointed at him, rumors spread and suddenly he wasn't just Yoon Jeonghan, the boy who started skating because it would annoy his little sister. He became someone from whom people expected something.
As much as he could, Jeonghan tried to live up to all of those expectations, realistic or not. He tried to be as perfect as possible, on the ice and off of it. And it only took one day of silence, a few rude unanswered questions, and one bad performance â which had no real effect â for everything to collapse.
âYou said you would film anything and everything.â
You grimaced, clearly regretful and maybe even a little embarrassed. It wasn't his intention, but he found your reaction funny anyway.
In your place, Jeonghan would have done much worse.
âDo you think itâs important?â
You nodded, perhaps more forcefully than necessary. Jeonghan laughed, he wanted to hold your head to make sure it was still in the right place.
âThe documentary is about your return, so filming you here is important. I asked because it's your first session. I heard it can be painful.â
âIt will probably be uncomfortableâ he couldnât deny that âLetâs do it like this, you can record it, if in the end you think itâs bad or that it doesnât fit, we wonât use it
You quietly followed Jeonghan and Joshua out of the clinic, Seungkwan and Vernon trailing behind you talking in hushed tones. It was no surprise that they were talking. Truth was rehab had been brutal. You knew that it could get hard for Jeonghan, that it could be painful but nothing really prepared you for what you saw. And if it was hard for you to watch him go through that, it was unimaginable to understand how it was for him.
Throughout the entire session, Jeonghan looked in pain, his grunts and the scowl on his face growing with each passing second and new movement. Midway through you told Seungkwan and Vernon to stop filming. You had seen enough and you had more than what you needed for the documentary.Â
You would only film his rehab again when he was no longer in such pain, you decided. Out of the many things you learned about Jeonghan was that showing his weaknesses wasnât something he was too fond of or even comfortable with the idea of it. So there was no real reason to keep recording and you couldnât stand it either.Â
While you watched his face contort in pain, you felt something inside your chest tighten.Â
It had never been a real issue before with you. You had always managed to separate your personal emotions from the things you felt while working. More often than not you told stories that were hard to listen to, took someoneâs suffering, and put it on the TV for the entire world to see in hopes that maybe a part of their lives would be changed. You had always been able to detach yourself from that.Â
However while inside with Jeonghan, such a thing was not possible. You felt your throat constrict and your eyes grow wet and for a short while, you couldnât breathe either. It made no sense really. Why did it hurt to see this man, you knew nothing about, in pain to the point you wanted to cry? Why did it sadden you so much that he was limping harder than before?
You wanted to approach him, ask if he was okay, if it had been too much. But it was out of line, it was one that you knew you shouldnât cross. There was this itch though, in the back of your mind, begging you to just ask, to just take a step closer to him.Â
It happened so suddenly that you didnât even see it happening. One second it was just the five of you in the parking lot, in the next there were reporters with mics and cameras pointed at Jeonghan. You noticed how Jeonghan raised his shoulders at the same time he lowered his head. He couldnât see in front of himself, you were certain.Â
Joshua put an arm around Jeonghanâs shoulder while he used the other one to keep them away from him. Not that it was of any use. One of the cameras was directly under his face as if trying to get an expression, anything at all, that could show his discomfort with the situation. From somewhere behind you there were flashes.Â
"Do you believe your injury was a result of your own carelessness?"Â someone asked.Â
You felt your blood run cold for a second and you froze in place, Seungkwan and Vernon behind you.Â
"Do you think your skating career is over after such devastating injuries?" someone followed.Â
"Did you regret pushing yourself so hard during training, knowing it led to your injury?"Â
"How did it feel to watch other skaters progress while you were stuck in rehab?"Â
"Are you worried that your injury will define your career more than your achievements on the ice?"Â
The questions got progressively worse and you wanted to scream at them to just shut up, and stop. How could they just ambush someone like that with those questions? It made no sense at all. And though you knew that it would cause more harm than good you wished Jeonghan would tell them all to fuck off.
Instead, he kept his head low and just slowly walked to his car while ignoring everyone around him, all the careless words being thrown at him.Â
You tried to take a step forward but were held back by Seungkwan, who gripped the strap of your purse. He didnât say a word, just shook his head.Â
âThey canât just do that to himâ you almost cried
âIf you say anything, it might only make matters worse,â Hansol said, his voice sad.Â
That sudden need to protect Jeonghan felt weird but oddly natural as well. Weird because you knew that you shouldnât, because you hardly knew the guy. Natural because it felt as if you had always done that like it was just second nature to you.Â
âHe is used to this,â Seungkwan said, still not letting go of your purse.Â
âHe shouldnât be! They are barely treating him like a human!â
By the time you turned around, Jeonghan was already inside the car leaving the parking lot.Â
The clock on the top of your phone screen told you that it was 4:37 am. You hadn't even realized that you had spent so many hours still awake.Â
As soon as you got home from the rehab with Jeonghan, you took a quick shower, ate the leftovers from the night before, and started to look up Jeonghanâs performances.
The man was a celebrity amongst athletes since he was a child. He was always seen as a promise of the sport. He was good from the start. Performing moves that he was still too young to do, entering competitions boys his age never really competed in and somehow managing to either come up to the podium or even winning some of them.
Everything was displayed online. Yearly competitions, practices, and small moments of his life.
Jeonghan's entire life, at least the sports part, was exposed on the internet for anyone, from anywhere in the world, to see. And it wasn't just the competitions, having videos of that part seemed completely normal and expected.
What was scary was all the other content. Some photos of him in school uniform, not one where he was actually looking at the camera, but ones that were clearly taken in secret. Another one from when he seemed to have simply gone out for coffee with Joshua.
You knew he had fans, that he was liked wherever he went, and that he was always followed, but that seemed a bit much.
In reality, watching videos of the competitions was like a gateway to everything that came after.
You knew very little about Jeonghan, only what you had read about in all the articles that you found and all of them had one thing in common: Jeonghan was a huge diva, who thought he was superior to everyone. But after seeing how he had been treated that day, as soon as he got out of rehab, you knew it wasn't like that. It was as if they had appeared out of nowhere, one second the parking lot was empty and the next it was full of journalists, shouting things and asking questions that to many would seem harmless, but were clearly intended to hurt.
Instead of watching more competition videos, not that there were many you hadn't watched yet, you decided to look for the famous video of him treating journalists badly.
You had never found one so easily on the internet. You just typed "Jeonghan and journalists" into the search bar and it was the first video to appear.
It was a scene very similar to the previous day. Jeonghan was in the parking lot, walking towards the guy when he was surrounded by several journalists.
"You didn't get the podium today, are you disappointed?" one of them asked and that was the most harmless question he got. âDid you really try hard or did you think you would get a high score because you were the favorite?â âWhy did you fall in such a simple jump?â âDon't you think it was an amateur's performance?â
You didn't want to keep listening to all those meaningless questions, but you couldn't take your eyes off Jeonghan. He still had short hair at the time, even covering his eyebrows. His jaw was clenched, his eyes were hard, and his gaze was focused straight ahead, as he walked slowly to his car. Joshua tried as best he could to control the journalists with their microphones and cameras, but he was just one man against many. Finally, after what felt like ages, two security guards appeared, pushing the journalists away as they began shouting profanities in Jeonghan's direction.
Could those people even consider themselves journalists? Real journalists, who took their work seriously?
There is a very fine line between being a journalist who asks incisive questions and one who is completely disrespectful to the athlete. And those people were anything but professional.
It was no surprise that after that Jeonghan refused to give interviews.
That whole situation happened years before, at the beginning of the previous Olympic cycle, but even so, it was still a moment that haunted him. People remembered him as just that guy, someone who refused to answer simple questions. But what exactly did these people expect? That he was all smiles when he failed to reach the podium, even though he was the favorite in the competition? That he smiles when he hurts?
Finally, you managed to understand why he acted that way, and why his answers were so polite and direct. Jeonghan didn't want to leave room for interpretation. Not that he had much of a choice. People only see what they want to see, but that didn't mean he couldn't try.
Jeonghan couldnât take his eyes away from your back, he followed your every move. You stood next to Joshua, talking to him quietly, his friend showing you something on his phone. He felt something scratch at his neck. This new and unknown feeling.Â
It was unusual for Jeonghan, to want to have someoneâs undivided attention. It was usually the other way around and he was never willing to do it, with anyone. And then there you were and suddenly he didnât like that you were talking with Joshua.Â
It wasnât like you seemed to be having fun either. You moved around with intention, your eyes always focused, your words and questions firm and straight to the point. Jeonghan couldnât help but wonder if it was always like that with you. If your professional persona always took over who you were in other moments.Â
His curiosity was huge but his courage to ask was very little.Â
âShe may seem like it, but she wonât bite your head off if you talk with her,â someone said on his left.
Seungkwan stood at his side, his hands clasped in front of him while he rocked on his heels.Â
âI think she will,â Jeonghan said.Â
Seungkwan took his reply as an invitation to sit.Â
âYou know, in the office, people call her the ice queenâ he too looked in your direction, at your serious expression "Sheâs like that most of the timeâ
Jeonghan looked at Seungkwan expectantly, he knew there was a but coming soon. All he needed to do was wait long enough.Â
âShe didnât want to take this job, our boss forced her to. Sheâs more into storytelling, real people, with real issuesâ
âAm I not a real person?â
The offense in Jeonghanâs voice made Seungkwan almost fall off his chair. He didnât intend for his words to sound like that.
âOf course you areâ he laughed nervously while trying to explain it as best as he could âIf it were up to her, she would focus this documentary on you, on how you started skating, why, what attracted you to it, how it affected the rest of your life. But your team doesnât want that, I think. We were told that you already gave many interviews on the matter so thereâs no point in talking about it again. They want us to focus on your recovery and then you make it to the Olympics. Sheâs trying to figure out how to do that in a way that makes someone watch itâ
Jeonghan nodded, feeling guilty. It had been his request to not the documentary so focused on the past and more on what was happening in the moment
âShe also doesnât like sports and hated the idea of the job, but that's beside the pointâ
Both of them laughed, eyes still on your back now that you talked with Vernon, giving him new instructions.
âIâll make sure that she gets to do the kind of documentary she thinks is bestâ
Seungkwan stood up, a big smile on his lips.
âWho could have known that the ice queen and the ice prince arenât actually that coldâ
After months of just rehab, itâs finally time for Jeonghan to get back on the ice and it pained you a little to admit that you were looking forward to it. The videos you watched could only take you so far, you wanted to actually see the real thing. Him, in action.
Of course, you know that he wasnât going to be able to do a third of the things he did on those videos. But you wanted to see him in his element, how he would behave when he was finally around the thing he loved the most in the world â his words, not yours.Â
The one thing you were able to learn from Jeonghan was the fact that he indeed loved what he did. Like most people, sometimes he hated it. It was the thing he was most passionate about, yes, but it was also his job, so there were days when he just hated and the mere idea of leaving the house was too much.Â
It was too hard to be a professional athlete, it demanded way too much of him. Of anyone, really. Sometimes he wanted to be like everyone else and just not put everything he was into it. But if he did that, he lost one single day, he was scared that he could lose an entire year and maybe that year turned into two and then he could lose his chance to go to the Olympics.Â
And he only had one change left.Â
So, instead of focusing on much he didnât want to do, Jeonghan decided to focus on the fact that there was only a year ahead of him and he would be able to do whatever he wanted and have as many down days as he wanted.Â
He didnât know what he wanted to do and what would be the after for him but it gave him something to look forward to.Â
âAre you nervous?â you asked him.
Jeonghan was someone who was mostly quiet. You noticed that once he started to feel more comfortable he was one to start the conversation and even crack a few jokes here and there. Seungkwan had been the first person he kind of opened up to, which had left you a hint of jealousy. You wanted to be one he talked with mostly because it was your job but also just because.Â
However, he had been especially quiet that day. The three of you went to meet him at his apartment. The idea was that youâd follow him the entire day, from the moment he woke up, to when he went to the doctor to get the final clear and then finally to the ring.Â
He had talked very little, his eyes always focused somewhere else. It was clear that his mind was traveling somewhere far, far away. So you left him be, quietly watching him just move around. A silent shooting day, you told yourself In the end, however, you had a job and he needed to do the talking.
âItâs been too long,â he said, his eyes never really leaving the ice âI donât know if I can still do itâ
You laughed, causing him to finally look at you, eyes wide on his face. He tried to look serious but the corners of his lips were turned slightly up.
âYou just donât feel confident, but you didnât forget itâ you looked at his ankle, it was still weird to see him without any sort of protection around it âHowâs your ankle?â
He just shook his head and in that moment you chose to believe that he was said It doesnât bother me anymore.Â
Through the interviews, you found out that Jeonghan is the kind of person to suffer in silence. It was clear from all of his previous injuries, how he competed while in pain and only ever said anything when it was almost too late.
âDo you think I can still do it?â
There was something in his voice like he was almost on the verge of breaking. He sounded vulnerable in a way that was entirely too new, in a way you wanted to push Vernon and his camera away because that was a part of him you knew he didnât want the world to see.Â
Instead, you reached for his arm, patting it a couple of times, hoping that your touch, as ungraceful and awkward as it was, was able to soothe him, even if it was just for a moment.Â
âI was watching some of your competitions last night, again, you know? And that guy? Heâs still in there, Iâm sure of it, Iâve seen himâ
You werenât just saying that to cheer him up, your words were true. You had seen that version of him, little glimpses here and there. He was in the way his eyes suddenly changed and it was like he owned the entire room, in the way he suddenly turned confident, in the way he was charming in a way that was almost sickening but all too enchanting either way.Â
Whether or not he believed it himself, Yoon Jeonghan was a force to be reckoned with.
"What kind of kid were you?" you asked, looking up at Jeonghan.Â
He sat opposite to you, bent down to tie the laces on his skates. His hair covered his face, you were sure that he couldn't see much, but he didn't seem bothered by it in the least. Maybe he had just gotten used to it.Â
Four months had gone by since you started to follow Jeonghan and even before that, he had kept his hair long. And you hated to admit that he looked good, too good even.
"What kind do you think I was?" He smirked at you for a second before going back to his skates.
Rolling your eyes, you couldn't help but smile.Â
"This is not how it works. I ask the questions here"
Jeonghan leaned back on his seat, giving you his full attention. His smirk did something to your insides. It felt tight and loose at the same time, like wild butterflies running around on your skin.Â
"Come on, humor me"
You pretended to be in deep thought, Jeonghan as a child had been something you thought about for a long time now. Even though he was very serious most of the time there were these small moments where he looked like a kid ready to do something he wasn't supposed to.
"I can only think of you as a troublemakerâ you smiled, closing your notes knowing well that youâd make no progress at all with the filming âIâve seen pictures of you and a child and although you looked very cute, Iâm sure you were a handful to your motherâ
Jeonghan laughed, throwing his head back and in that moment he looked so carefree.
Even since the start of the documentary Jeonghan had used his most serious expressions, a frown always taking over his beautiful features. But he had been back on the ice for a few days already and in those days he had looked the happiest you had seen him yet.
Of course, he still hasnât practiced the way he wanted or the way he used to. He still needed to take things slowly: fewer hours, less power in the movements. But it was undeniable that he was a completely different person.
It wasnât that he had been in a bad mood every single day but there was just something about him in his element, of him doing something he was obviously passionate about, that was so enchanting that it became impossible to look away from him.
âWhere did you see those pictures?â
âYou do know that I had to google you because I had no idea who you were, right?â
One thing you managed to learn about Jeonghan is the fact that, if in the right mood, he is a trickster and most of all, a flit. You werenât even sure that he was aware of what he was doing, it seemed like second nature to him.
He put a hand over his chest, faking being in pain. His face contorted and a pout on his lips.
âI thought we were getting to know each otherâ.
Seungkwan coughed by your side, finally making you remember that there were people around you and that the entire interaction between you and Jeonghan was being recorded.
There was something about Jeonghan that always seemed to make you forget where you were, that maybe there were people around you. You could only suppose that it was the charm of a man who knew exactly what he was doing, who knew how to sweet talk someone.
And Jeonghan knew what he was doing, what kind of words or looks could get a reaction from a woman.
Most of the time while around Jeonghan you had to remind your heart to be calm and quiet. Being around him was a temporary arrangement, as soon as the Olympics started said arrangement would be done and youâd have to go back to your normal life. One that didnât include Yoon Jeonghan. And you also knew that there wasnât space for you in his life.
âWeâre going to set up the cameras around the ice,â Seungkwan said awkwardly while dragging Verno by the hand.
You watched as the two walked away from you, whispering in secrecy. You could only imagine the kind of things that they were saying. If you knew Seungkwan at all, you were certain that it couldnât be any good.
âJeonghan, I ask questions and you answer them. And while one could say that Iâm getting to know you, I donât think it would be possible to say the same thing about meâ
Jeongahn's smile was defiant when he crossed his arms over his chest.
âYou have a no-bullshit policy, which I should have known, from the start, but I wasnât expecting someone like you. Although you try really hard to pretend that youâre not, your eyes are kind and you quietly take care of those around you, me included sometimes. You got worried when I was in pain in rehab and when Vernon got hurt it seemed as if you were angry, but you were concerned about him and after that, you asked to have another staff with you so that he wouldnât need to carry so many things on his own. You and Seungkwan bicker a lot but when he isnât around for a day you are quieter and your questions have been more direct. That doesnât make you a lousy documentarist, please donât think that Iâm saying that, you take your job very seriously. Iâm saying that you put people above your job. Iâm guessing thatâs why you wanted to become a documentarist, to begin with, to tell storiesâ
You stared at him, mouth open wondering just how he had come up with all of that and why he had managed to hit everything right on the stop. Especially the reason why you became a documentarist. It seemed very obvious, yes, but it wasnât something that you had said.
In fact, your personal life was something that very few people knew. You werenât one to share your thoughts and what was on your mind with people. Seungkwan was a good friend, but he was a work friend so your personal life was just that, personal. Not that you had someone to share it with, either way.
The apartment was empty when you left and it was in the exact same way and you got back. You were on your own, with no parents, no siblings and most of your friends had given up on you somewhere along the way.
For the longest time, you put your job first. It came before anything and anyone. You were building your career and name at the time so it was hard not to put it first. It was your dream, one that your friends supported at first but were displeased when you decided to put it first.
You had thought that if you made it big on your job if you got hired by a big production company, youâd be able to find the happiness that you had searched for a long time. And while some of it was true, your career was on the right path and you did something you loved, you didnât have a lot more beyond that going one.
It was become just you and your job.
Was it sad? Yes, but it was also the life you chose.
âJust because I donât know details of your life, doesnât mean that I donât watch you, ynâ
You watched as Jeonghan fell for what felt like the hundredth time that day. It didn't make sense, not really. At least not for you. And from the looks of it, for him too.
He was frustrated and completely angry. All those people looking at him, expectations high, waiting for something. He wasn't sure what. For him to fail? To see if he still could do it?
Everything was possible and impossible at the same time.
He couldn't stop his eyes from going after you every time you fell. Somehow, your reaction was the only one that mattered to him. The first few times your face was completely emotionless, as if you were staring at a blank wall. Then Jeonghan fell once again, and again, and again. He stopped counting at 10, but he knew it was much more than that actually. But your gaze, which was fixed on him, became more worried as the minutes passed and he hated being the cause of it.
Somehow, since he met you, only two things were on Jeonghan's mind: skating and you.
He didn't know how, he didn't know why, but you had taken over his every thought. It was as if you had walked through an imaginary door and entered his mind and decided that it was a great place to be.
Even on days when you didn't see each other because there was no recording, he was tempted to talk to you. And on one of those days, he just succumbed to the temptation of picking up the phone and calling you.
âJeonghan, is everything okay?â was the first thing you said.
He hated that worry was the first emotion he awakened in you. He hated that the first thing you said wasn't "hello" like a normal person. But at the same time, the concern made him feel somehow welcomed. It could, of course, be all in his head, and what he saw as concern for himself was actually concern for the documentary.
"I just wanted to talk," he admitted.
Maybe it was because he had gotten used to talking to you, maybe it was because you offered zero judgment for the way he thought or reacted. Or maybe it was because it was you. Whatever it was, Jeonghan felt comfortable talking to you.
Telling the truth, about everything, was not difficult, in fact, it became something very easy. It was because of you, he knew.
"I realized I don't know anything about you"
You laughed and he listened as you moved through what he imagined to be his apartment.
"That's because I interview you and not the other way around"
He sat on the bed, his legs stretched out in front of him as he supported the rest of his weight on his arms stretched behind him.
"Do you think it's so bad that I know anything about you?"
You remained silent for a few seconds, seeming to think about the idea. It wasn't bad, not at all.
At several moments you found yourself with your cell phone in your hand, ready to send a message or call him. You werenât sure what, but there was something about Jeonghan that just made you want to tell him everything.
"What do you want to know?" you said with a sigh.
"Whatever you want to share"
The great truth is that very little happened in your life. You lived alone, worked every day, and came home alone. Your last boyfriend, or even a fling, was over a year before. Your friends, if you could call them that, were all from work. Your life was quite still and dull. Even if you wanted to talk about work. Jeonghan was your job. There wasn't much to talk about.
"I don't think I have much to tell" you knew that what you were about to say wasn't the happiest topic in the world, but it was what you had to offer "My mother passed away when I was nineteen, since then I've been alone"
You could still clearly remember the day your father left. There wasn't a fight. He never packed his bag and left. One day he was there when you woke up, he gave you breakfast and took you to school, like he did on most days. But it was his job to pick you up and he never showed up. Your mother showed up instead, her eyes swollen as she did her smile to smile at you and explain to the teacher why she was so late. When you finally got home she said "Now it's just you and me. Daddy had to leave"
For months, years even, you waited for him to come back. You thought one day he would just appear in front of you. You were disappointed when it was your mother who showed up to pick you up when he didn't come to his birthdays when you called the number he had left with his mother and he never answered.
You waited until you turned 18 to go after him. You only had a name, but with that alone, a person can find everything on the internet. You found him in another state, working at a real estate agency. You sat down in front of him and talked for about half an hour. You made up a story about going to college and needing a place to live. You said your name and your mother's name several times, surname and everything, and at no point did he seem to connect one thing to the other. Until the last second, when you said you would think about renting the studio he had suggested, and he walked you to the door. He said, "I left for a reason, don't come back here."
You couldn't believe what you had heard. You couldn't understand why he left and why he never came back. But at that moment you decided that if he didn't want you, you didn't need him. Your mother had worked so hard to make sure you had everything you needed.
Exactly one year later, your mother died in a bizarre car accident. It was like being 7 years old again and losing another person, only in a much more painful way.
"You donât have any siblings?" Jeonghan's voice on the other end brought you back "Relatives?"
You shook her head, even though you knew he couldn't see you.
"I was an only child, so no siblings. My mom was an orphan so relatives either. My father left when I was a child"
You and Jeonghan spent the whole night on the phone, talking about everything and nothing. From trivial things to more personal matters. His delight upon learning that you didnât have a boyfriend didnât go unnoticed.Â
Calls and messages became commonplace between the two of you. Your heart raced every time a new message arrived and it was hard to hide your disappointment when you realized it wasn't from him. On days when you didn't see each other, you would stare at your phone, waiting for it to ring, waiting for him to call.
So you hoped he understood when you shook your head in his direction, a request written on your face. That's enough for today, you can try more tomorrow, you hoped he would understand.
Instead of trying one more time after he fell once again, he skated to the edge of the ice. His face was red from the effort, and his chest rose and fell in an uneven rhythm trying to force air back into his lungs.
"I want everyone out," he said, his voice broken.
Seungkwan and Vernon didn't even question it, they simply started putting away the equipment. Jihoon, who had shown up unexpectedly to "supervise" didn't seem to understand what was going on, but turned to help Vernon.
Jeonghan's coach was the only one who approached him, his hand on the athlete's shoulder.
"Go home, rest. Tomorrow we try again"
Jeonghan shook his head. He would only get out of there after managing to make the damn jump, even if he had to stay the whole night.
"Just half an hour more, but I want to be alone"
The coach clearly didn't like the idea, but he knew it was stupid to try and make Jeonghan change his mind.
You turned to him, looking at his face, trying to figure out if he was in pain or if he was just being a big blockhead. Without giving yourself the luxury of thinking about what you were doing, you placed your hand over Jeonghan's and squeezed for a second. You hoped he understood what you meant.
"You have to rest"
You knew everyone was watching, that despite saying they were leaving they weren't actually moving. Jeonghan didn't seem to care and for a moment you decided not to care either.
âStay,â he said softly, so only you could hear him âplease.â
Some strands of hair were stuck to Jeonghan's face, you wanted to get them out of his face, but caution spoke louder. You looked over your shoulder and everyone was still looking at the two of you, but as soon as they noticed your gaze they started moving again. Seungkwan shouted âWeâre leavingâ and seconds later the door slammed.
Finally, you were alone.
âYou have to rest,â you said again.
You took advantage of the fact that no one else was there and removed the strands of hair stuck to his forehead, tucking it behind his ear. Jeonghan sighed, his eyes closing as he leaned towards you. Just that little touch wasn't enough.
âI need to get it rightâ
"If you stop now and rest you will know what you are doing wrong"
A half smile shined on Jeonghan's face as he leaned further into the barrier, his face just inches away from his.
"My ego loves it when you say I'm doing something wrongâ
You pushed him back, needing a little bit more space to yourself. He was too close, you could feel his breath on your nose and cheeks. It was suddenly as if the world was made of Yoon Jeonghan, it was just him and no one else.Â
âIâm sure your ego will be just fineâ
Instead of pulling your hand back, you allowed it to stay in his chest. Jeonghan smiled for a second before pressing his hand over yours.Â
âJust another 30 minutesâ he repeated what he said to his coach âI promise Iâll stop in precisely 30 minutesâ
You nodded with a sigh. There was nothing you could do to stop him. Something told you that even if you threatened him to leave he would stay and practice, he would stay on the ice for far more than just 30 minutes if you werenât around.Â
So you sat down and waited for him. And he fell time and time again, his face growing displeased with himself at each passing second, each time he jumped but didn't manage to land.Â
Jeonghan had done that same jump countless times before with ease as if one's body would simply perform such movements. To him, it always seemed as easy as walking. You had seen it in all of his videos, almost in trance by him.Â
âIf youâre not done in twenty-one minutesâ you pretended to look at your imaginary watch âIâm taking you out of there by forceâ
Jeonghan threw his head back, laughing.Â
âRemember when you said that you never skated before?â Jeonghan asked after finally being able to breathe properly again.
You werenât too sure how, but he had stopped after 30 minutes. A big smile on his face after he managed to land the jump after so many tries. After getting it right once, he didnât get it wrong again. It was like something clicked inside his brain as if he had found the last missing piece of the puzzle.
Of all the things you said to Jeonghan, from the most personal to the most trivial, that was, by far, the only one you regretted. You had told him over the phone but he looked horrified, it was easy to imagine the wide eyes on his face.
But him standing there, in front of you, with a smile that could only be seen on the face of a mischievous child, said much more than any words he could utter.
âNo,â you said, shaking your head, already moving back.
You had learned several peculiarities about Jeonghan in all the months you spent by his side, and one of the most glaring was the look in his eyes when he was about to do something he shouldn't.
âYou have to try, at least onceâ his lips were a mixture of a smile and a pout âYou will have the best teacher in the worldâ
You saw it and shook your head again.
âI canât trust a teacher who spent the day fallingâ you pointed to the rink behind him.
As soon as the words left your mouth, you regretted them. You didn't know if your words would offend him, you hoped he knew it wasn't your intention. But you also knew that hell was paved with good intentions. Jeonghan was silent for a minute, his face serious, his eyes not leaving yours for an entire minute.
Then he smiled, his nose wrinkling a little as he laughed, loudly. It didn't take long for you to join him.
âYouâre evil,â he said, trying to control himself, but failing âThis way youâre going to break my heartâ
âI think there are few things in this world that can break your heart.â
You would definitely be one of them, Jeonghan wanted to say, but he held his tongue in his mouth. He knew he couldn't say that, he knew that any word said wrongly could simply ruin everything he had built so far. If he could even say he built something. He liked to think so.
From the first time you spoke, Jeonghan knew there was no going back, at least for him. He had never done anything like that. He had never called someone in the middle of the night simply because he wanted to hear someone's voice. And in this case, it wasn't just someone's voice, it was your voice that he wanted to hear.
With each passing sentence, Jeonghan found himself falling more in love with you and he wasn't able to say why. Maybe he could blame it on your eyes, always so focused, but somehow when they turned to him, they seemed so sweet and sincere. Or your voice, which gave orders and asked incisive questions, but as soon as the cameras were turned off it became gentle and almost shy. Maybe it was the fact that you seemed like a lioness when you were working, never giving space for unfounded questions, but you were shy when it was just the two of you alone.
He liked this version of you, who was right in front of him, who seemed completely comfortable with him, to the point of making jokes â something that until that moment you hadn't done yet.
âWe always have extra pairs in the back, I'm sure one of them is your sizeâ he had made sure you would, with Seungkwan's help of course âAnd then we try it, what do you think?â
Even though you were shaking your head, you went to the closet where you knew the skates were stored.
With your knees bent and shaking, you stepped onto the ice and immediately regretted giving in to Jeonghan's will. You didn't know how he had managed it, but in the closet, there was a brand new pair of skates, your size. Jeonghan had smiled as he bent down to tie your shoelaces,
âIâm going to fall flat on my face,â you said as you grabbed the bars.
Jeonghan held your face in his hands, your eyes fixed on his.
âI wonât let you fallâ
The way the words left his lips made your heart skip a beat, or maybe several of them. You could feel it on the back of your throat and you could swear that your hands shook a little as you accepted the hand Jeonghan had extended to you.Â
You wished it could just stop. Not for your heart to stop beating altogether but for it to stop reacting to Jeonghan. Everything changed after that first call and you werenât too sure of where it was. He had, someway, somehow, become a pivotal point of you. His voice, his eyes. The way tingles started to run down through your body the moment his skin came in touch with yours. How, despite all odds, he made you feel safe in a way you werenât too sure you had ever experienced before.
When he said that he wasnât going to you fall, you believed him so you held his hands â strong enough that you were sure were hurting him but he didn't seem to mind â and allowed Jeonghan to pull you into the rink.Â
âDon't move your feetâ he said, voice ever so sweet but with a slight hint of teasing âI know it's probably hard, but let me take control hereâ
Forcing out all of the remaining air inside your lungs, you did as he asked. Instead of keeping your focus on the ice under your feet, you kept them in Jeonghan's face. A mistake, of course.Â
His eyes were too intense if you could say that. You didn't want to understand what was happening. Perhaps for the first time since you met Jeonghan, you didn't want to understand what it could mean. You were scared. What, exactly, you werenât sure.
âI didnât even have to ask you to look at me,â he said and you laughed a little, automatically looking away âKeep looking at meâ
The whole experience of skating for the first time, or being guided, was not being registered by your brain. All you could see, think, feel, was Jeonghan, as if he had become a central point of everything.
âI think we should stop hereâ
You hoped your voice was loud enough and judging by the look on Jeonghan's face, it was. The smile fell from his lips and it was as if a small light in his eyes had gone out.
You hated that you were the one causing that reaction in him, but you knew it was best to stop everything before it went too far.
"I thought thatâŚ"
âWe canât blur the lines that muchâ you shook your head.
You didn't know exactly who you were trying to convince, him or you. You also weren't sure you had to convince yourself of anything. It was as if your brain had split in two. One part, probably the loudest, wanted you to just let things happen. You knew you weren't doing anything wrong, you weren't doing anything much really. What you did outside of your working hours and who you did it with was your problem and no one else's.
But the other part, one that spoke softly and that should have had much less strength, said it was dangerous, but also didn't offer much reason to be dangerous.
Yet somehow, that was the side you chose to listen to.
"Why?" He asked forcing his feet to the ground, making the two of you stand in the center of the rink. âWhat line are we blurring?â
You shook your head, hands clinging to his waist as you felt your feet begin to slide.
âI donât knowâ you whispered in response âWe are workingâ
Jeonghan leaned forward and pressed his lips to your cheek. With a sigh, he let his forehead fall onto your shoulder and closed his eyes.
You didn't know exactly where your skepticism came from, but you were also sure it wasn't completely unfounded. But truth be told, you wanted to blur that line and any others that might appear along the way.
âGo on a date with me,â he said âIf you still feel that way, thereâs nothing we can do. Just donât⌠donât stop something that hasnât even started yetâ

awkward moments during sex â older brothers
a/n: was in the mood for wholesome smut with humour so here are some awkward moments that happen during sex with the older bros (younger brothers here).
tags: 1.7k words. female reader x lucifer (no warnings), mammon (mention of spanking, getting caught in the act) + leviathan (demon form!levi, double penetration, anal, levi has two dicks). minors do not interact!
đđđđđ
đđ
âah! luciââ
your moans fill the room, almost drowning out the sound of classical music hailing from luciferâs record player. heâs completely lost in the symphonies, suffocating in the way your precious voice sings along with the violins and piano â itâs orchestrated to perfection.
enough for him to not realise that his music of choice for your intimate time is only working in favour for him.
deep groans leave his throat as he loses himself in your body â or the music. at this point, you think heâs more turned on by his favourite classical piece than your writhing body beneath him.
although, the piece of art youâre creating with your body is just as impressive. you have every bit down to the nail. the desperate cries of his name, the trembling of your limbs, the delicate arching of your back.
thereâs no way heâd be able to tell youâre faking it, right?
when lucifer proposed a request to play some music during sex, you had no qualms. it actually seemed like a good idea to spice things up in the most lucifer way possible. but you learned the hard way that classical music is the biggest turn off ever.
for you, at least. lucifer seems to be enjoying it.
youâd much rather hear your own voice than the music so with every thrust, you squeal a little louder than before with hope that he would pay more attention to your highâpitched whines than the soft tinkles of piano keys.
âoh, god, lucifer! it feel so good!â
faking an orgasm with luci is the last thing you imagined yourself doing but, in all honesty, you donât have the heart to tell him to switch off the music. he was so excited to try this; heâs having the time of his life and you play your part to make him feel even better.
heâs close, head buried in the nook of your neck pressing chaste kisses along your skin. rutting slowly, he drags his cock in and out, engraving himself on the walls of your pussy. the darkâhaired man finally lifts his head, bringing his lips to yours before inspecting your face.
âmmh, donât stop, luciâŚâ
but thatâs exactly what he does.
âmc, is something the matter?â
âhm?â
holding himself up on shaky elbows, he brushes the hair away from your face and kisses your cheek. âyou sound different tonight. what is it?â
âitâs nothing, luci.â
âitâs certainly something, mc. tell me.â
you bite your lip, breathing in his scent. you donât want to hurt his feelings by telling him, but he seems to have figured it out already. you should have known better than to deceive the man above you, and your silence is telling.
 âare you perhaps⌠faking?â he asks.
âiâm sorry. iâi didnât want you to stop.â
âmc, you should always tell me when to stop.â he chides you, but the tenderness he holds in his gaze warms you from the inside.
âi know, but⌠you were enjoying the musicââ
âthe music?â
âyâyeah,â you stutter. âiâm not really feeling the music.â
he sighs embarrassedly, dropping his head into your neck once again before chuckling. his whole body rocks against you with awkward laughter and you canât help but join in.
âmc, youâre pleasure is far more precious to me than music. do you want to continue if i turn it off?â
you pout your lips in thought. âi think i spoiled the mood, luci.â
ânonsense,â his lips turn upwards and he places a kiss to your forehead while slipping you into his arms. âwe can always cuddle, can we not?â
đđđđđđ
the atmosphere in mammonâs room is usually quite lax â thereâs very rarely a need for you to feel tense when youâre with mammon but tonight is different. laid over his lap, his large hand caresses the burning skin of your ass before giving a tight squeeze.
âmammon,â you whine with teary eyes. âplease! want you so badâŚâ
âdonât be so needy,â he smirks and you whine louder because mammon is the last person who should be teasing you about neediness. âiâm having some quality time with your pretty ass.â
he gives your reddened cheeks another quick tap, not as harsh as the previous ones but more remiss. he loosens up a little, allowing your scent to ease his mind and you, too, relax as he massages your throbbing cheeks. you exhale deeply, with a hum escaping your lips as the whiteâhaired demon embraces you.
mammon isnât one to often punish your body like this but he had a stressful day and you offered for him to take his frustrations out on you. but for now, it seems his burdens are long forgotten because the dark look in his eyes is taken up by his allâfamiliar starved gaze, like heâs ready to pounce on you at the first sign of movement.
you move in unison; his hands fly to your hips as he scoots up the bed, resting his back on the headboard while you settle above him.
âcâmon, princess. how about ya ride my dick?â mammon suggest with a wink. his cockiness sends a current through your body, reaching every inch of you and igniting fire in you.
âi like the sound of that,â you straddle him, your warm thighs pressing onto his. lining his cock to your entrance, you trace his tip up and down your slit before pushing it through your sopping hole. âfuckâŚâ
mammon moans into your mouth, tongues intertwining in dance you know all to well. he breathes in little gasps and hisses when you drop yourself of him little by little until his raging cock is completely enveloped in your soft, velvety warmth.
it doesnât take long for you to find a near impossible rhythm, fucking him faster than youâve ever done anything. you slam your hips down and bounce with all your might, face contorted with the promise of ascending to somewhere only bliss is known. âfuck, iâm so close, maââ
âmammon! did you take my new figure again?â levi barges into the room, refusing to tear his eyes away from the device in his hand to notice you both naked. your mouth opens to scream at him when asmo enters the room not a second later.
âmc,â he sings. âi thought iâd find you in here. letâs go shopping!â
âiâm a little busy,â you say through gritted teeth, seething with annoyance as your orgasm slips from your grasp. the two brothers finally look up and register the position you and mammon are in.
you think thhis would be the end but more of the brothers enter. all the while, mammonâs cock is buried to the hilt of your pussy.
âhey, have you guys seen mc?â belphie mumbles.
âweâve been looking for ages. oh, mc⌠here you are.â beelâs eyes grow wide as they rake over the sight before him.
your entire body turns hot with embarrassment, frozen from the fear of moving or else theyâll see more than what they what can.
âcan you at least turn away?â you grumble, dipping your head into mammonâs shoulder, and he barks them, too.
âor maybe, you know, get the fuck out of my room!â
âthatâs no way to talk to your brothers.â luciferâs disappointed voice echoes and he freezes upon entering, seeing what he stumbled upon. the final straw is satan peeking over the shoulder of his eldest brother.
âyou guys didnât tell me there was a watching party.â
âbecause there isnât!â you yell, yanking the pillows from underneath mammon and launching them at the brothers. âget out!â
đđđđđđđđđ
âfuck, levi,â you moan, grinding your hips over his. âyour cocks are so fucking good!â
âmmh,â he hums along; heâs lost far too deeply in your body. itâs a haven for him, one filled with bliss only. one that he never wants to return from.
levi needs to think again before choosing video games over you. heâs a fool to have ever considered the former to be greater than the latter.
no, not when you can show him just how incredible this feeling is. from now on, he will never choose anything other than you, his one and only player.
the symphony of your moans and whines combined fill the room, and nothing cuts through the lustful noises until a playfully tuned ping sounds from behind you. levi stirs in his heavenly trance, but you take his lips in yours, not allowing his computer to distract him.
after all, tonight was all about giving you some well deserved time since heâs so obsessed with his video games. leaning down, you wrap your lips around his nipple, swirling circles around it and relishing in the way his body arches up into you.
his cocks twitch inside of you; youâre full to the brim in both holes and youâve never felt so good. this degree of pleasure confounds you â thereâs no way both you and levi could possibly feel so godly in this world. you're convinced you both died and went to heaven for that is the only realm such pleasure could exist in.
but youâre slowly brought back to reality again when leviâs computer chimes a second time. then a third.
âfuck!â levi jolts into an upright position. âi forgot about the raid!â
âwhat raid-ah!â you yelp as he jumps to his feet, arms securing you on his waist and you frustratedly wrap your legs around him, ensuring you donât feel the loss of him inside you.
he plonks down in his gaming chair with you in his lap. wincing from your knees digging into the arm rests, you shift into a more comfortable position before realising leviâs eyes are no longer on you but on the lit up screen behind you. and his hands have left your soft skin, now clicking away on his mouse and keyboard while muttering to himself.
âseriously?! levi, you promised it would just be us tonight!â
âiâm sorry! give me five minutes and we can pick up where we left off.â
scoffing, you send him a deathly glare which goes completely unnoticed as his attention is completely and wholly on the stupid raid. his gaming addiction had proven too strong for you to compete with given that he let it interrupt sex with you. heâs a lost cause now.
âforget it,â you sigh, climbing from his lap but he hisses when the warmth from your pussy and ass escape him.
slender fingers find you immediately, gripping you so you canât escape. he takes little to no time in placing you on his desk, the raid forgotten in an instant as he slips his cocks back inside of you with desperation.
âiâm sorry,â he groans and presses his hips flush, and your head falls back after finding a new pleasure in this position. a gasp escapes you as he shifts into his demon form and his tail slithers around your waist, locking you in place against him. âdonât go.... please.â

tristin dugray relationship and intimacy hcs pt 2
wc: 1.1k
pairing: tristin x (implied fem) reader
genre: straight up smut with some mild feelings
warnings: brief mention of exhibitionism, debriefing with madison and louise, aftercare, cuddles, car sex, sex in a variety of places, cockwarming, nudes, brief mention of oral (m recieving)
song rec: mary - alex g (bc this is literally tristin's song. it's so fucking tristin coded.)
a/n: so good news I think my adhd medication is finally working lol
tags @yesv01 @magcon7280
As with all nsfw works all characters are aged up to 18+
WITHOUT FURTHER ADIEU MORE TRISTIN SMUT BC IâM FOAMING AT THE FUCKING MOUTH
Whatâs fun about Tristin
Among many other things
Is his fixation with your hips
Seriously it was one of the first things this horny motherfucker noticed about you
Whenever you wear anything mildly form fitting he canât take his goddamn eyes off your hips
Once youâre together itâs basically impossible for him to resist touching them
Sometimes itâs a playful squeeze
Or an affectionate rub
Other times itâs full on groping while he shoves his tongue into your mouth and makes you grind against his thigh
He could live like that for days and not get tired
Speaking of
Tristin has fucking stamina for DAYS
âMen canât have multiple orgasmsâ tell that to him!!!!!!!!
He just⌠has a fixation with all of you honestly
Like thereâs no part of you that heâs not going to eye the fuck upÂ
You know the looks heâs always giving Rory????Â
Thatâs just the tip of the iceberg babe
Or should I say tip of the penis lol
AnywayÂ
Tristin is vocal as FUCK
Like mans canât shut up
Even when weâve reached the previously mentioned dumbfucking point, heâs still going to be whining and grunting and panting nonstop
His moans have you gushing like niagara falls tbhÂ
There is a zero percent chance heâs not going to give you the most affectionate aftercare every time too
So much praise and kisses and cuddles
Like heâll genuinely get upset if you try to just bounce afterwards
Or worse
If he wakes up the next morning and youâre not there
Maybe he could handle casual hookups with other girls
But not with you
He will absolutely pull you back into bed and demand kisses and cuddles
Iâm not gonna lie
He does have a little bit of an exhibitionist streak
Just a tiny itty bitty one
Mostly just from the urge to prove that youâre his when other guys keep flirting with you
If the circumstances were right and you were down, he would be happy to put on a show for them, show them how good he treats you
If youâre still friends with madison and louise/go to the same college as them they will BEG you for details and live vicariously through you
The line where they saw Tristin and Summer making out in front of Roryâs locker and one of them (I forget which one) was like âif youâre dating Tristin you have the right to make out anywhere and everywhereâ
âŚ
Yeah
They will literally grill details out of you
Whatever they can get
And the way they look at him after
The little sighs and head tilts and staring off into space thinking about what you told them, letting their imaginations go wild
It would make you jealous
If you didnât know how much he likes you
But yeah thereâs no one that can take you away from TristinÂ
He loves you
And he loves keeping things fresh and spicy and exciting
He absolutley fucks you in his car a lot
Like a lot lotÂ
Thereâs at least a few pairs of your panties that youâve lost somewhere in the fancy leather seats
Heâll also happily fuck you in your car
And every room and surface of your apartment
And your apartment hallway
And in an elevator onceÂ
And public bathrooms
And your bathroom
And pretty much anywhere he thinks yall can get away with
Seriously this boy is such a slut but heâs only a slut for you
You light him on fucking fire and he canât cope
He needs you biblically,, like in a way thatâs concerning to feminism.
You can tell how he feels just from the way he looks at youÂ
And itâs obvious as shit to everyone else too
Like literally everyone
He eye fucks you a lot lot lot
GOD this boy can seduce you so fast
He moans so loud for you too
Tristin will really give you a good show
He wants to impress you
Wants you to need him
(cough cough praise kink)
He wants to breathe the same air as you
He wants to wrap you up so tight in his arms that it feels like youâre merging into one person
Tristin is the âcuddling isnât enough I need to climb inside your skinâ kinda clingy
Solution is cockwarming
Which you both love a lot
Once he realizes cockwarming is an option?????Â
It slowly increases in frequency
Thereâs a good chance you wonât be able to sleep without it at some point
Seriously he will hold you tight and rub your back and touch your soft skin and tell you all the lovey dovey things he feels about you
Most of it is lovey dovey
But donât let that fool youÂ
He is the CEO of both his family company AND dirty thoughts about you
Seriously heâs set off so easily by you
9 times out of 10 heâs probably fantasizing about you
Remembering your touch
How you feel around him
God he canât wait to get his hands on you again
Let me tell you
Tristin is a motherfucking MENACE when it comes to sexting
He will have you blushing over the phone in ways you didnât know you could blush
Heâs so shameless about it too
If you send him nudes??????
He will literally die
And heâll happily, happily return the favor
Once he realizes how you react when he sends you nudes?????
He never wants to stop
He literally loves getting you all feral and worked up over him
Donât let Madison and Louise find out Tristin sends you nudes or else they will steal your phone and make a copy of your fingerprint with sticky tape and face powder just to access them /hj
Speaking of going feral
Tristinâs happy trail?????????
Are we gonna talk about it??????
Are we gonna talk about how you want to fucking bite him and deep throat him until you memorize every vein whenever you see his lil happy trail????
Because you will
Youâll definitely want to
Okay putting myself down now lol
I need his cock immediately
Constantly covered in hickeys and unable to walk and he loves it so much
He loves when you need him and he loves fucking you so good that youâre out of commission the next day
Itâs what you deserve
You think heâs a menace now???
God help you when he gets baby fever

"are we almost there?"
chris's vocal complaints were finally coming to an end when we reached our stop.
"this seems good!" nick stated in a proud tone as he plopped the duffel bag he had been carrying into the grass beneath him.
"i still don't know why we're doing this," matt murmered to me, causing me to chuckle.
nick had insisted we go on a one-night camping trip to "get away from everything" for a little while. it was something he saw on tiktok. the triplets invited madi and i to tag along. i had become friends with the boys in high school, and i was close with all of them, but chris and i seemed to gravitate towards one another significantly more.
"i heard that!" nick huffed as he went through their belongings in the duffel bag.
chris slumped beside me, his body immediately making contact with the grass as he took a deep breath. "finally, we can relax." he chuckled as he turned to me.
"i think they um.. might need help with the tent." i giggled as i pointed towards his brothers, who were already struggling with putting it together.
chris huffed and sat up to go help them while madi sat beside me. we made fun of them along the way.
about 6pm rolled around, and nick went through the cooler bag for food.
"alright guys, chris was really excited for this, but he made us all sandwiches." nick stated with a smile as he took each one out, each covered in cling wrap with a name written onto it.
chris clasped his hands together excitedly as he crawled towards them and began to go through them.
"alright... nick, madi... matt, and.. last but not least!" he cheerfully handed me a sandwich with my name written on the plastic. "here ya go."
"what about you, chris?" i asked, cocking an eyebrow.
chris's face dropped.
"no way you forgot to make yourself one." matt mumbled.
"it's okay, i'll share mine with you. i'm not super hungry anyway." i reassured him with a smile, and chris nodded softly.
"right, okay. sorry." he mumbled as he sat beside you.
once everyone had finished eating, we all started to get ready for bed. it wasn't late, but a day of hiking was truly tiring.
it was a summer night, so there wasn't much need for jackets or sweaters. i brought a pair of sweats and a simple black tee. no need for anything more, right?
everyone had fallen asleep, and chris and i were both sitting in silence. but i could tell he wasn't asleep because he wouldn't stop moving.
but then his voice pierced the silence between us.
"you wanna go to the top of the hill?" he questioned, pointing upwards.
there was a small hill beside our setup, and it seemed to be one of the highest things nearby. i nodded softly. "yeah, sure. sounds fun."
we slipped on our shoes and walked up, giggling as we tried our hardest to stay quiet.
"look at that," chris gawked at the view of the city, his eyes widening as he shifted to take a seat.
i gently sat beside him and pulled my knees to my chest.
it was truly gorgeous. the way the lights flickered and the cars passing by looked like ants... it was so bright in contrast to where they were. was that really what they lived in every night?
i turned to chris and felt my cheeks heat up upon realization that his eyes were on me.
"sorry," he quickly murmered as he turned back to the lights in the city.
i chuckled at him and shook my head. "if you think that's pretty.." i whispered before leaning back to lay down against the soft blades of grass. "you should look up."
chris watched me shift and gave the city one last glance before he laid beside me and crossed his arms behind his head.
"wow," he whispered, smiling softly.
i looked at the stars above us... each individually twinkling and providing a sense of warmth.
we sat in silence for a few minutes before chris cleared his throat slightly. "i feel like i'm in a difficult position."
i turned my head towards chris and blinked a few times as my cheeks grew pink.
no, he wasn't looking at me this time. instead he was staring up at the sky. but the moonlight along with the light that the stars provided perfectly outlined his jaw, his cheekbone and the bridge of his nose.
he looked stunning.
"what do you mean by that?" i asked softly, my eyes not leaving him now.
chris seemed to ponder for a moment before he sighed. "i just genuinely have no idea what to do." i stared at him and let him think before he sat up and propped himself up on his arm. "i'm so afraid but i'm so certain." he whispered, but his words came out firm - like he was positive about what he was talking about.
"what do you mean?" i asked, smiling softly at him.
chris didn't smile back. he seemed to really be battling his thoughts. "i have a hard time committing," he stated blankly before continuing, "i feel like i'm useless with things like this, but... i genuinely think i have finally received that push to let that go."
i watched him as he spoke, and finally, his eyes met with mine.
"it's hard, because i can feel myself slipping every single day.. further and further." he sat up and turned to look down at me. "i'm falling in love with someone who had seem me at my best and worst, and i'm afraid of ruining what i have with the person who knows me as well as i do." he whispered.
i felt my heart drop and my eyes widen as i sat up. "chris?" i questioned.
"but it hurts me more than anything that i have to go every single day pretending she's just my friend." he whispered. "but i'm so afraid," his voice cracked.
i listened closely to him. he needed to get his feelings off his chest.
"do you know how hard it is to watch your best friend grow up beside you into the most beautiful and amazing person you've ever seen?" he whispered.
i bit my lip as i nodded and sat up, scooting towards him. i gently reached to grab his hands and hold them in mine. my eyes never once left his. "i understand. because i do the same thing. every single day." i smiled, and chris's expression lit up. "i watch my best friend go every single day, fighting his personal battles and winning every single one of them. every day he's a better person and i admire that."
chris bit his lip as his eyes danced between either of mine. he laughed softly and dropped his head to look down, his bangs covering his eyes. "i just want things to work."
"they will." i whispered, causing chris's eyes to interlock with mine. "because she feels the same way."
chris's fingers gently locked with mine, and he bit his lip as he sniffed. he then pulled me into a tight hug, his nose burying into the crook of my neck.
i chuckled and held him tightly, my fingers gently caressing his hair.
"i can't believe i confessed to you in the middle of fucking nowhere," he mumbled against the skin of my shoulder, giggling softly.
i couldn't see him, but i could tell his face was red with embarrassment.
"better now than later." i whispered as i smiled at him.
chris pulled away and looked into my eyes, his bright blue ones looking even more light with the stars.
"can i kiss you?" he whispered.
i felt my face flush, but i nodded quickly and smiled.
and with that, chris leaned in and pressed his lips to mine, his eyes fluttering shut. he held my hand tightly in one hand while the other rose to rest against my cheek.
the stars glimmered a little brighter from that day onward.
every time i looked up at the night sky, i would think of the night my best friend confessed to me and started a journey we both desperately required, but had no idea was reciprocated.

seventeen members as love tropes: kim mingyu
exes to lovers
'getting over you is impossible because how do you get over someone who still has your heart?'
mingyu imagined so many times how you two will meet again. in his mind, you two meet only when his life finally feels like his again, when he's not miserable with attempts to get everything under control. in his mind, you two meet when every single issue of his is sorted out and he can finally present you perfect version of him, version that is worthy of you. but of course, just like with every other plan of his, life's got its own vision on how things should go.
'mingyu?' you call, unsure. 'is that you?'
he understands your hesitance - not only did he bleach his hair, but also is sporting a classic suit on, which he's never owned before in his life. 'uh, yeah, hi. how are you?' his voice sounds a bit off and he clears his throat nervously. 'didn't think i'd see you here.'
you shift on your place, moving a bit to the side, letting other people pass. 'um, i work here. i mean, my office is here, in this building. i- do you also work here?'
mingyu chuckles self depreciatingly, shaking his head. 'no, i just got out from the interview.'
your eyes light up at this and it's akin to a stab to his heart because god, you still are excited for him even after everything. 'really? how did it go?'
mingyu doesn't know what to tell you because truth is not an option, he doesn't want to fall even more in your eyes. and that's the thing, isn't it? mingyu wants to look good in your eyes, wants you to be proud of him just like he is proud of you, but it seems to be impossible. that's why he left, why he decided to break it off because he couldn't take it anymore, couldn't stand being such a downer who can't seem to get his life under control. 'i'd rather not talk about it,' mingyu settles, grinding his teeth. 'don't want your pity.'
you frown and mingyu knows he fucked up again (how many more times can he fuck up with you?). 'i never pitied you, mingyu.'
he knows. he knows and it's time for him to go or at least bite his tongue, but he does neither maybe because he's too upset over the tenth interview that went to shit or because he can see one red rose peeking out from your shoulder bag. tell me who gave you this rose. have you already moved on? 'well you should.' it comes out aggressively. 'it's all i deserve.'
you blink, shocked. your mouth opens and then closes, you struggle to formulate an answer. mingyu doesn't blame you - he was never like this in your relationships. he was always the caring one, funny one, but never snippy or rude. he was always rushing to catch up with you, with your success, your genuis ability to know what you want and go after it. he was always the one undeserving of you.
'mingyu, i-' you start, baffled and mildly concerned. 'i don't even know what to say. where is this coming from? did the interview not go well? is this why you are upset?' you gingerly reach out, taking his hand in yours. 'do you want to talk about it? i have some time before my meetings.'
mingyu is not a crier, he is not. but the desire to grab you into his arms, never let go and cry it all out is so big, he almost screams. because he can't do it anymore, can he? lost all priveleges of holding you one month ago, when his cruel thoughts got better of him and convinced him that breaking up would be good. now, when he stares at your joined hands, he wants to smack himself with something heavy because how he could ever thought it'd be good? he's miserable without you, can't sleep without knowing that you are okay, doesn't want to do anything if it's not with you. this break up was supposed to be for good, for him to take his time and come back to you with his shit all figured out, so you'd be proud. and yet.
'mingyu-'
'are you happy?' he rasps out, barely holding back his tears. having your hand in his makes him feel too sentimental, reminds him of too many good memories with you. 'after we- after i left. are you happier?'
on instinct you try to move away, but his hold on your hand is too strong. 'happier?' you ask, not believing your ears. 'happier without you?'
'now that you don't have me holding you back,' mingyu elaborates, sensing your anger. 'are you happier?'
'mingyu, what are you talking about?' you question in a whisper, realization that he is not joking finally dawning on you. 'i- you never held me back. is this- wait, is this why you decided to break up? because you thought that you were holding me back?'
you sound like this is ridicilous but it can't be. mingyu frowns, looking at your widened eyes. you are not lying, he can tell. you really think that he did not hold you back but... but he did, he's such a loser compared to you-
'kim mingyu,' you call out in a shaky voice, making him snap out of his thoughts. 'i think, no, i know we need to talk. what i'm hearing right now is so, so wrong and i-' you take a deep breath, calming yourself. 'i thought you broke up because you didn't love me anymore.'
mingyu drops your hand at this suggestion. 'i said that we're breaking up because of me,' he states, looking at you like you've grown two heads. 'i love you, i will always love you, i don't think it's possible for me to ever stop loving you. i left because i'm a mess and you don't have to stick with me through it, it's unfair to you. i wanted to come back to you all patched up, picture perfect because that's what you deserve. but i never-' mingyu raises his voice, stepping close to you and holding eye contact. '-i never stopped loving you.'
you should know this. mingyu doesn't think he can live knowing that you are out there, thinking that he stopped loving you. it's impossible. rivers can run dry, sun can turn into ash and mountains can move, but his love for you will remain as a constant presence, big part of him that will never die. how could you question it?
'i am working till seven tonight,' you suddenly say in a cliptight tone. 'kim mingyu, if what you said is true, you will wait for me here and then we will talk.' you stare at him with fierce determination that makes his heart skip a beat. 'okay?'
mingyu swallows. could it be that you...? 'i failed this interview,' he whispers. 'just like i failed all others. i-'
'were you lying when you said that you never stopped loving me?' you question strictly and when he shakes his head, you smile, nodding. 'good. then you'll wait for me here.'
and it's - it makes dead butterflies in mingyu's stomach wake up. they barely move their wings but they woke up and that's all that matters. 'i will wait for you here,' he promises quietly. 'but baby, i.. haven't changed. i'm still same mingyu from one month ago.' i didn't get better is stuck on his tongue.
you smile softly and he realizes how much he missed your smile. 'i know, gyu. and thank god for that. cause that guy from one month ago? he's my favorite guy ever. although he is a bit dumb for breaking my heart over something that is not true.'
negative thoughts that usually buzz inside his head constantly, quiet down, when you lovingly caress his hand. he can this? he can still have this?? mingyu doesn't think you understand that he will kill to still have this. 'i love you,' he only manages to choke out, looking into your beautiful eyes. 'i will be here at seven.'
you nod and walk away and mingyu tries his best to not let anxiety play with him again. instead, he focuses on barely alive butterflies and prays for them to have enough strength to withstand till seven because there's small silver of hope that after seven they actually might come alive for good.
a/n: it was supposed to be fluffy, i swear. but then it turned into this and i just left it like that :/ feel free to come to me and call this out for being ansgty - nini

Bite me!
Troy tells Lint that she's a vampire. Lint, maybe a little too excitedly, offers a taste of their blood.
edit: this is also on ao3 now
tw/cw for blood
GUYS I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT VAMP!TROY AND FREAKY LINT
A dim light from the ceiling is all there is in the room. Troyâs room. Lint and her hang out in here a lot, since itâs not like his dad is going to bother them. Heâs busy working in his office. Even if their sight didnât make its way over to look at Troy every two seconds, itâd still be too dark to read the words on the page. Troy is watching a top spin on the floor. Heâs sitting with his legs crossed, and it looks like heâs got something on his mind. Which is rare for Troy.
Lint didnât even realize he was staring until Troy spoke up, âHey man? I think I gotta tell you something, broski. And itâs like, really important.â
Holy steam, is she about to say what Lint thinks heâs going to? Is there finally going to be hope that they might have a chance with Troy Lougferd?
âYeah, man? Whatâs up?â Lint replies, although they needed to take a second to compose his thoughts. He hopes their face isnât too red. Troy isnât looking at them, it seems like sheâs avoiding it, really. Heâs fiddling with his hands, clearly nervous.
âSo, uh⌠Iâm a vampire. Me and my dad both. Just thought I should tell you, man.â Troy coughs.
Oh. That is not what Lint was expecting. That doesnât mean heâs disappointed, not at all, if anything theyâre just as happy as they would have been if Troy had said that he was into guys.Â
Lint wonders what it would feel like for Troy to bite him, and their face is definitely red now. And without thinking, he says, âOh⌠Thatâs awesome man! Do you- do you wanna, like, taste my blood?â
Cog, why did I say that? Heâll think Iâm weird! Lint thinks to himself, as if it werenât already obvious that theyâre a strange individual. Theyâve been obsessed with Troy for how many years now? And Troy doesnât mind. It makes him like Lint more, actually.
âUh- well, broski, that actually sounds- that sounds nice, man. Uh, but like, not in a gay way. You know.â Troy breaks the awkward silence that had filled the room.
She gets up and starts to walk closer to Lint, still sitting in the chair in the corner. Lint feels their heart start to beat faster as he approaches. His hands are shaking from excitement. That really doesnât help prove his case of ânot being a freakâ, now does it?
Lintâs heart feels like itâs going to explode if it beats much faster than this. Troyâs mouth opens, revealing fangs that were previously not there. Or maybe they were just retracted. Is that how these vampires work? Lint doesnât care, because this is really happening. This is actually happening and theyâre more excited for it than ever.
Troy hesitates for a moment, the tips of his fangs just barely touching Lintâs neck, but in an instant her fangs are digging into their flesh and she begins to drink. It tastes sweet. Troy likes sweet.
And Lint, oh, Lint canât do anything, and they like it. The second his fangs entered his neck, they felt content. They donât just like this, he loves this. He canât imagine a nicer feeling.
Troyâs enjoying the taste of Lintâs blood. Maybe a bit too much. Sheâs lost track of how much heâs taken, and he knows better than to take too much. Dad always says sheâs âgreedyâ with this kind of thing.
And so he pulls away. Lint is pale in the face, but it seems like he enjoyed themself. Thatâs good. Heâll probably be fine.
Lint is disappointed that itâs over, but they know that they couldnât let her drink much longer.
âThat was- that was nice, dude! I mean, uh- your blood was, um-â Troy stutters, she never stutters. Why is he stuttering?
âYeah, man, that was nice. Like, really nice, dude.â Lint talks over the other. Ordinarily, they would never talk over Troy, but nothing about this is ordinary, is it now?
Troyâs face is just a shade lighter than his bright red t-shirt, or at least thatâs what it feels like. I donât like Lint, do I? Not like that, right? Troy thinks to herself. He can deal with that later, though. Itâs getting late, Lint should probably be leaving soon.
He leads Lint to the front door with a smile on his face, and the second that door closes behind him, the house is silent again. Troyâs mind is all she hears, and all of her thoughts are filled with Lint. He doesnât know what came over him, but heâd definitely like more of Lintâs blood. Maybe next time, Troy thinks.
