Andre disowning Chloe is such a disgusting cop-out, oh my God. And not even for the writers, no, I’ve talked enough about how much the writing of season 5 is really badly thought out. It’s a disgusting cop-out for Andre.
We’ve seen that he apparently had dreams to be a film director and to make the world a better place, but had to give it up to “fit in” with his family. He became the mayor literally just to impress Audrey and hates his current life because of her and his “selfish, heartless daughter”. So now he wants out. And he gets out by... giving it all up.
And, yes, if there are toxic people in your life, people who make you give up your dreams to pursue them and further destroy your life by disrespecting you and treating you like shit, then drop them. But this isn’t just his wife that he could divorce, no. This is his daughter we are talking about.
Chloe, no matter how terrible she is, is still a product of his own shit parenting. If he didn’t want a heartless and selfish daughter, maybe he should have actually put effort into raising her rather than just throwing money at her every time she cried. The fact of the matter is that she’s like every other child on the planet: she didn’t ask to be brought into the world. It was his own decision to have a child, but when it got too hard, he just gets to give up??
And we’re supposed to side with him as the victim?
My brother in Christ, it is your fault your daughter’s a fucking asshole. It is your mess to fix and your problem to deal with. You can’t just say “well, I tried” and drop her like that. What happened to parental responsibility? To taking care of your goddamn kids and helping them through their childhood? Andre didn’t try for a second to help his daughter become a better person and just put his own shortcomings on her “nature”.
And what’s worse, is that he gets “awarded” custody of Zoe. He gets rewarded for being a shit parent by getting another kid to fuck up with. I feel terrible for Zoe. She’s still a kid and deserves at least one loving parent, not some idiot who failed at both jobs he was given throughout his adulthood: being a mayor and a father. It isn’t fair to Chloe, and it especially is not fair to Zoe.
Why are they being punished because Andre Bourgeois can’t take responsibility for a goddamn thing in his life?

Eren: How did the captain and his wife meet?
Hange: She pinned him to a wall and held a knife to his throat.
Eren: ?!?!
Hange: Shorty didn’t even stand a chance. Decided there and then that she would be the mother of his children.

Yo! I wanna see how would Chloé and Zoé interact in your AU. (Also, I freakin' adore your art style XD)
(TYSM for the compliment!! 🌈🌈🩷🥹🤲)
I HAVE A WHOLE THING AB THAT- 🫵
Quick chocoau! Zoe backstory: She’s an influencer from Los Angeles who came to Paris for an abroad trip vlog (funded by Audrey, ofc). So she’s basically a social media nepo baby. So there’s also that contrast with how she portrays herself in a “shallow” personality and who she really is, which is reserved and shy and insecure.
I was thinking that when Zoe showed up to stay with them, Chloe got like, a whiplash of trauma of how Audrey basically hates her and loves Zoe more (sending her gifts and funding her trips) so whenever she’s around her she’s more hostile and cruel, but also anxious and always on edge.
Zoe is gonna be the final part of Chloe’s redemption arc, because by the time Zoe is in the picture, she’s still Queen Bee. Some trauma bonding later and Chloe is actually the one to give her bee miraculous to Zoe, because she realizes that she’s not a good miraculous holder bc of her own baggage and Zoe would be the best fit and deserves it, solidifying Chloe’s redemption arc!!
TLDR; it started out being a one-sided hatred, but then they become literal sisters!! 🩷🩵🐝

What's up with some people in the aot fandom and thier hatred for Hange? Ya'll good? Clearly some people completely missed the point of how good thier character is. I wanted to talk to someone about them and this fucking person goes "not even levi likes her why should I? She stinks in canon too" Never blocked someone faster. Some of you don't have friends and it shows in how you think that Levi hates Hange. They singlehandedly carried the survey corps in many things.

I know this has already been said and I’m super late, but Mia as the protag of RE8 would have been so good. The contrast between Mia, the Lords, and Mother Miranda would have been absolutely interesting. I'm shoving everything under a read more because damn I have so many thoughts about Mia.
Lady Dimitrescu is a woman that cannibalizes and drinks the blood of her servants and intruders. On top of that, she tortures before preying on them. She does this willingly and very much derives pleasure from doing so. Lady D’s gothic triplets hunt any poor fool that wanders in. It’s a fun family activity for them just as much as it’s for sustenance.
Do you know what this parallels? The Baker family under Eveline’s control. They patrol the estate and anyone who rejects the “gift” either ends up molded or on the dinner table. This family also partakes in a fucked up version of a family dinner, eating the victims that refused their little girl’s “gift.”
However, a major difference between the Baker and Dimitrescu family is their willingness to participate in these activities. A family of cannibals; one forced while the other relishes in it.
Mia is still very traumatized by her three years in the Baker’s estate. Breaking into the castle to find her daughter would force her back. Hello to all the emotions that come with those memories, the ones Mia has been trying to forget. The harder you try to forget something, the more you think about it. What better way to make Mia acknowledge Dulvey, Louisiana than by forcing her into something so similar?
And while she’s still reeling from remembering her time in captivity, why not push her a bit further down memory lane with House Beneviento? Mia has demonstrated at multiple points in RE7 that she does care about other lives. She lies to Ethan to keep him from getting caught up in her work. She tries to save Alan and crew members of "The Annabelle" (the crew members are a bit more indirect, she mainly focused on Alan) by containing Eveline. After Jack finds her, Mia keeps her distance to keep from infecting them while trying to write a warning. She tries her hardest during RE7 to save Ethan.
Mia’s hallucinations could center on her guilt. The failure to stop Eveline and the lives ruined as a result. How she was always too late to help anyone. Ethan curing her, a criminal, over Zoe, the person helping him. Leaving Zoe behind in the shattered remains of her home and family. Surviving. Visions of Ethan hinting at his “condition” could lure her to the manor. A little nudge to the whole “he was mold the entire time” plot twist without fully giving it away.
Moreau, lacking in self worth and very attached to a woman who doesn’t give him the time a day, yet still he considers her as his mother. Most of his actions are for the attention and validation from his “mother.” No matter what Moreau does, he’ll never have her affection or time. It’s sad, isn’t it? To witness a man try so hard only to be rejected. And isn’t that familiar? Mia once felt compassion for someone with similar traits.
Remember the little girl who considered you her mother? The one that spent three years waiting for you to love her after you promised? The one you had a hand in killing? What makes you think you could ever be a good mother after what you did? Why are you trying so hard to save Rose when you didn’t even extend the same courtesy to Eveline?
Y’all know how Mia’s past is a mystery? Like why she was working for the Connections and how she was even recruited and all that. Heisenberg would be a great way to explore it. A man taken, forced into becoming something else, and stuck in a family he doesn’t want. Mia can relate. He wants to use her daughter as a weapon. She was willing to let another child be used as a weapon. They’re alike, so surely Mia would be willing to side with him.
But Heisenberg is cocky and Mia isn’t the person she was prior/during 7. Even if she was on board with using Eveline as a weapon to end all wars or whatever bullshit the Connections told her, she’s not willing now. Not after what she’s seen and been through. This section could be Heisenberg goading her through the tvs/intercoms about her past to change her mind with Mia remaining steadfast in her refusal.
And then there’s Mother Miranda. Two mothers trying to get their daughters back through vastly different means. Because of the group photo showing Mia and Miranda with Eveline this encounter can go one of two ways.
Miranda and Mia know each other and have worked together before. Whether it be on the E-Series Project (with Mia becoming the caretaker and spending copious amounts of time at the lab) or though some other means at work.
They’ve only briefly met when the Connections were in a hurry to transport Eveline.
Either way, Miranda would compare them. As a mother, Mia must understand what she’s trying to accomplish. Would Mia not do the same as she? Maybe at this point Miranda shows she killed Ethan to demoralize to prevent her from interfering with the ceremony. Tells her she’s too late once again and to give Rose to her because she’ll be the superior mother.
Idk, I guess you could switch to Ethan instead of Chris so he can still have Eveline tell him he’s moldy. But he’s a stubborn man and he forces himself back to weaken Miranda so Mia can kill her. Chris shows up and Ethan does the same thing he did at the end by blowing himself up with Chris forcing Mia (with Rose) on the helicopter. That way the Shadow of Rose DLC can still be about Rose and Ethan.
TLDR; Mia should have been the protagonist because it would have allowed us to explore her character and background more. It was a missed opportunity especially since so much of RE8 centers around mothers. It would have played out better as closing off the Winters Family saga as well since we could have tied the loose ends that came with Mia’s mysterious past.

"The boy did good" is so possessive yet so incredibly fond--that perfect mix of heartfelt and horny that I first noticed in 2019 and that is so characteristically, thoroughly Michael. That combination of something classic and timeless--because love never goes out of style--with something modern and different. Michael showing his heart without a moment's hesitation.
And then just to make sure we didn't overlook the horny part, he threw in "And he looks good in a kilt as well, doesn't he?" as a chaser. As if to say, "Oh, you thought this was me complimenting my buddy on a job well done? No, this is me saying that my boyfriend looked fucking hot in a kilt." Just to remind us of exactly who Michael Sheen is (like we could ever forget).
Well done, Michael. Well done indeed...

here's a prompt, it's inspired by a nancy drew episode: truth serum has been poured in the drinks at a party, how do the ros react when they are about to confess their feelings to mc, do they, in the middle of their sentence, try to avoid finishing it by stuffing food in their mouth/drink more/leave/etc.? or do they actually confess because they don't even realize what comes out of their mouth until it's too late?
Random but I follow that video game polls blog and they've been going through all the Nancy Drew games and it's been making me nostalgic. Seeing this is my inbox feels really timely because of it lol
Rook: He is eating so fast and so furiously, because he is not confessing Any of That. And then he makes an exit stage left. The confession comes out in the middle of an empty hallway, and he tries to calm himself because it's the first time something like that has ever been spoken out loud. He'll do damage control later. He just...really needs a minute.
Beck: He doesn't need a truth serum to confess his feelings, and he lets the words roll off his tongue without much of a fight. He has feelings for you. Saying it is simple. It doesn't matter who hears to him, since it isn't like he's ashamed. He might be worried about your reaction, with how sudden the confession is, but he's not going to hide it.
Rhea: She covers her mouth with her hand when she realizes what she's about to say. It comes out muffled, but even though the words are undecipherable, the look on her face and the widening of her eyes speaks the truth instead. She doesn't run away, but she freezes for a moment, anxiety in her stomach waiting for your reaction.
Zoe: They say it before they realize what exactly they've said. It isn't until there's a reaction from others that it all catches up to them and they straighten their back in their chair. They stammer over their words, immediately reaching for an excuse but not being able to get to one because of the truth serum and finally just excuse themself for a moment to catch their breath, deeply mortified.
Lars: He doesn't like that the first time he stated his growing feelings out loud is in the midst of chaos and forced from his lips. He'd rather it be a private affair, away from prying eyes and judgemental stares. Still, he doesn't exactly fight himself from stating his confession, either. He'll deal with the details later. If anything, he's less concerned about his confession and who the hell administered the truth serum to everyone
???: It's more an open secret what their feelings are towards you. In the midst of a crowd, their main concern is how people will treat you, knowing how it is they see you, regardless of how you see them. It's something they know should be secret, and so they bite their lip hard and flee before the confession is out. They're desperate to confess, but they're also desperate to keep you safe from harm

kevin and andrew are genuinely such fascinating characters to me because we have literally never gotten anything from their pov's yet they remain two of the most relevant, involved, important and main characters in this universe, but all we've really seen of them are them from other people's perspectives. like yes, we have them from the perspectives of the people who love and know them the best (jean, jeremy and wymack for kevin, aaron, bee, renee and neil for andrew) but we still don't/can't know them fully because we have genuinely never read anything from their perspective. isn't that just insane.

I was thinking about how Levi must have felt when he realised that he was in love with Hange, and those thoughts turned into a little headcanon of mine that I'd like to share with you! More below the cut. 🥹
In his entire life, Levi had never had a crush. He had seen and experienced so much suffering and loss in his life that he might have even considered himself incapable of actually feeling love for another person (except for his mum, of course). No, Levi never really thought of true love, of having a family or just the feeling of being in love and wanting to be with someone. But that changed when he met Hange.
In the beginning, he might not have even noticed that he was developing feelings for her. Hange was overwhelming, annoying, exasperating, and frustrating. She talked too much, was too enthusiastic, and just couldn't stop laughing. Yet after some time, for some to him unexplicable reason, he found himself drawn to her. It was something he couldn't fight; it simply happened.
So he started calling her names; he called her four-eyes and shitty-glasses, idiot and moron, because it felt too personal to call her Hange. He started rolling his eyes when she talked to him about Titans, and he scowled when she laughed at him. But he was secretly enjoying their interactions, and he even found himself looking forward to those shared moments (but of course, he would never admit that!). No, he didn't know why. He just knew that it was like that, and it both irritated and thrilled him.
One day, he fell into bed, exhausted and worn out - it was already late at night, but too late didn't exist for Hange and she had been babbling on about Titans for what felt like hours. It was that night that, for the very first time, Levi associated the words amazing, captivating, and beautiful with Hange when he found himself thinking about her. Involuntarily, his heart stuttered a little at these thoughts - and it was in that exact moment that he realised that there was something else going on.
It took him a while to figure it out, though, but when he eventually got there, he was scared as hell. This wasn't just friendship that he felt for Hange. No, he had deeply, madly, and irreversibly fallen in love with her. Capital-L love. But having gotten to this realisation, he, of course, didn't know what to do, how to act, or if he should do anything at all. All those feelings that were crashing down on him were overwhelming, and he didn't know if his little heart could take them.
So he continued on with his life like nothing had happened, like nothing had changed. And he let his feeling simply be, hoping that they might go away and that this might have just been a result of his exhaustion. But, of course, they didn't. On the contrary. Every time he was around Hange, his feelings grew stronger and stronger, just like his desire to be around her and to watch her all the time. Yes, with every passing day, he was falling deeper and deeper in love with Hange Zoe.
*sighs* Aaah yes, that's how I imagined it how it would be! 🥹 Poor Levi, he must’ve been freaking out when he realised "Shit, I think I'm in love. What do I do now?" XD
