Currently Watching - July
aka The Masterlist
Because I love a good little list - in alphabetical order! 😊
Regularly updated during the month, latest update 31.07.2024
A little link to my favorite bl-tropes-collection 💙
gif-requests are currently closed🌼
Here you can find all of my gifs.
At the end you can have a look at what we can expect in April with a MDL link and a link for a trailer (if avaible).
This is guaranteed to contain spoilers!
1. 4 Minutes 🇹🇭 (1/8)
The first episode was interesting. The second couple just stole the show for me. It was... yeah... It was intense. And because I can't watch it in HD there are no gifs from my side. But in my mind I did some. I am really interested how the story will progress. I haven't seen the trailer, I am just going in blind and this is exciting! But please give Fuaiz a happy ending! I am still not over the DFF ending...
2. Bad Guy 🇰🇷 (2/4)
Our bad guy from Blue Boys is back with his own little show. And it is good. I like it. Riu is getting married soon, but before that he gets in contact with his ex-partner and old feelings are coming back to the surface. And yes, I think he is the bad guy. But I understand him. He feels like he has no other choice and can't live a happy life being a gay guy in a relationship with another man. I am really looking forward to how this will end!
3. Century of Love 🇹🇭 (7/10)
This series is really good! I was hooked in today's episode. The tension was really good and I can't wait to get to know how this all turns out. What will happen next week? Even though I knew Vad was the bad one, I am really curious which role she is really playing. And I really felt heartbroken for Vee and San. Such a good story! Damn!
4. Hidamari ga Kikoeru 🇯🇵 (6/12)
I love them. I want to watch it again and again. It feels just so... real. So relatable. So honest. So raw. The struggle Taichi has to understand and accept his feelings for Kohei is so good to watch. He is so happy whenever he sees Kohei or speaks about him and I love his friends, who I guess, already can tell Taichi likes Kohei, but they just let him discover this on his own and are just there for him, poking him a little bit in the right direction. Oh I love this series so much!
5. His Man Season 3 🇰🇷 (12/14)
Okay, the new episodes were not as bad as the previous ones. I still don't get why everyone is crying and Jaeseung's whiny behavior because he can't get a date with Seongmin is a little bit annoying, but okay. The dates were okay. I think it is interesting that there are so many "couples", and I am curious who can stay in contact after the show and who become a real couple in the end. I don't feel it that much, but who knows how they feel.
6. I Saw You In My Dream 🇹🇭 (2/12)
I started a new series... Yay for me and my wednesdays 😭But this one really looks promising. I haven't heard of it that much and just blindly started watching. So Ai dreams and his dreams come true and he dreams he has his first time with Yu, his neighbour, who usually teases him and it is really cute. Not the first time, but the story so far.
7. My Love Mix-Up! 🇹🇭 (6/12)
I see so many posts from people not liking this one and I am sitting here enjoying most of this story. I don't compare it to anything. i just enjoy some awkward fluff and the cringe that comes with it. And I think the casting is quite good. I don't have the strongest feeling for the japanese original. I really enjoyed it and it is a great series, but I think the thai one is entertaining too and the chemistry between those two is still there. This epsiode we had a cute date and they finally progressed a little bit in their relationship-state and holding hand, which is now causing problems.
8. Takara no Vidro 🇯🇵 (5/11)
Still get some stalker-vibes from this one. But it is okay. Taishin slowly realises he likes Takara. It is kinda cute. And you can tell me what you want, but Takara is already very smitten by his little stalker friend. But it was a cute episode with them helping the little kid finding back home.
9. The Trainee 🇹🇭 (5/10)
Jane is nice to Ryan. I like it. Jane opens up to Ryan. I like it. Ryan smiles like a little sunshine because Jane is nice to him. I like it. I like this series. It is such a feel good show and OffGun are really good! And the side stories are interesting as well! Such a good sunday-watch!
10. Word of Honor 🇨🇳 (20/36)
Those two flirt a lot and are a married couple. Everyone knows that. And I love and enjoy that! Overall this is such a fun watch and the different sects and intrigues are sometimes a little bit confusing, but interesting. I love this world of martial arts and I love how protective Wen Kexing is over Zhou Zishu. I haven't felt like watching this lately. I wasn't in the right mood.
Finished in July
Series
Blue Boys Part 2 🇰🇷
Okay, we got our happy ending. I always say you can have feelings for other people when you are in a relationship. That is normal. And I am totally on Namyi's side when he asked Jaemin to trust him and to talk to him about such things. Keeping it a secret, especially when something happend, is not good. So I am happy both found their happy ending with each other and Jaemin finally allowed himself to be loved by Namyi. Over all for this second part I give a 7 out of 10.
My Stand-In 🇹🇭
Isn't it wholesome when everybody gets a happy ending in the end? Hm. Not really. Tong shouldn't have got his redemption. He should have ended up alone. Ming's dad should suffer because he finally lost his son, while the son is thriving on love. This last episode was really just a very long happy ending. And for most parts I really enjoyed it! After all the pain and the tears and the toxicity, there was finally wholesome shit on my screen! Overall it was a good show, not my favorite, but it was very much watchable. I give it 7 out of 10.
Wandee Goodday 🇹🇭
What a let down with the last episodes. This series started out so strong. The Vibe was so cool with casual sex and asexuality representation and after a few episodes... pufff... nothing. Kao has just a few scenes and when he was on camera, he was just a supporting act for Dee to get back with Yak or to think about his emotions. But his storyline was just left aside and squeezed back in the last episode, because they needed this closure... Oye never had to deal with any consequences for his actions. He just paid and now they live happily ever after... come on. Cher loves him, but this is such a big deal that I wished there was a little bit less product placement for them and some real talking about the whole stuff. And Dee and Yak. I love GreatInn together, but the script did them dirty! Yak became such a puppy, and Dee was confused and surprised all the time. And those open love expressions! I really don't like them! Especially when you have the main character telling people he can't be in a same-sex-relationship because of the media and his reputation... aha... sure... And this whole Ter gets his redemption in the end... Fuck that guy! He don't deserve anything! Just let him be miserable and alone in the end! He played with everyone! And don't get me started on the break-up-idea... Just talk about stuff and perhaps think about shit before it is almost too late! Oh, I am a little pissed... Overall I gave it 6,5 out of 10, but perhaps in the future I change it... The story was really not that strong and every little piece of problem was solved in the last episode and that just felt wrong! And it is wrong! You can't cure such a big trauma which includes halucinations just with love and some good words! No! I correct myself, I give this 5 out of 10...
The Boyfriend 🇯🇵
We've got our Happy Ending! Not just for Shun and Dai, but also for Alan and Kazuto. Now I am curious how life played for the contestants and I am looking forward to the reunion, which I won't be able to understand, because it will air in the Netflix Japan Youtube Channel without subtitles... Well, I wait for the fan-translations. I just wish all of them are happy! And my thoughts during this last moments of the show: AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy. And I give this show a 10 out of 10.
We Are 🇹🇭
I am really glad I waited with this one to binge-watch it. So I dodn't have to wait that long for the next episode. It was such a fun watch. There was nothing much happening, and yet it was very entertaining. We just saw friends getting together, having a good time, developing new feelings for each other and facing every day problems. I was quite surprised how well it was written and how much I liked it in the end. I give it 9 out of 10.

Dropped in July
This love doesn't have long beans 🇹🇭
My first drop after a while. And with such a popular show. But I really can't stand Plawan at this point. I guess I will come back from time to time, to have a look if I cringe or not, but I just know that this one isn't for me. Guess I will watch it mostly through gifs here on this heavenly hell site.
Looking forward to in July

My Personal Weatherman and the D/s element Ep 1
I've gotten several Asks requesting this review. I will say that as of watching the trailer, this is more a D/s relationship and an M/s one.
Let's check it out and decide for sure, though. I love the beginning. It says so much about the character. It was a warm day, and he dressed too warm, which is why he didn't understand the initial request.
Okay, so we know he watches the new aka weather news anyway. Every day and all the way through. Now is that because he wants to or is that a command?
Okay, I just fell in love with this character. "I don't like him. He just has the most appealing facial features out of all the faces in the world." Boy in love, but he not gonna say it. Is what that means. His friend is adorable. "I hate him. Including all those aspects." Home girl calls him out, though. "People who watch it six times are usually devoted fans." Yoh is not a slave. A slave would be way too terrified to say the things he is saying. Then add in the fact that he'd clearly broke a rule and wasn't breaking into a sweat about it. Says he is no slave.
They are D/s. Right off you can see there are rules. Yoh didn't notice him come in and cut off the phone. Which is why Segasaki just reached over and turned it off for him. Then reprimanded him for not noticing. That's when Yoh says, "Welcome back." Indicating this is a baseline command. I'm assuming he doesn't get back at the same time every day, or he would expect Yoh to be waiting at the door for him. One word command, "food." Again, Yoh is feeling secure in venting openly, and he feels comfortable with Segasaki's anger. That is not a slave. Segasaki so far does show Master tendencies. That's not a biggie because I can too and as most of you know, I'm not one.
The way he stutters and gets nervous when Segasaki cages him in, is completely normal. That's exactly how I would expect a submissive to act if I caged and got with direct intent. However, Yoh and Segasaki are not on the same wavelength, which is never a good thing. Segasaki is actually reprimanding Yoh, but Yoh isn't realizing it.
I have no baseline to go off of yet. So I don't know if him saying the food is bland is him reprimanding or his natural state of assholishness. I'm actually leaning into a mix. He's still upset about the girl and is wanting attention. This gives him a reason to make demands. See the way he touches and smiles, that's a reward.
Poor Yoh just doesn't understand and is completely missing his Dom's love languages. The drinking his drink. Completely normal. I 100% do this. As I tell my husband, I'm marking my territory. Just be glad I don't want to piss on you. To which he is eternally grateful. Please note that I am not kink shaming. If it doesn't harm anyone, I'm of a mind, you do you. However, it is not mine or my husband's kink. However, even if this kink is yours. I think even you can find amusement in mine and my husband's by play.
Yoh's internal monologue is hilarious.
I love how Japan's dramas make sex so visceral and realistic.
I'm so dead. Sunny has now become a lewd word. Yeah buddy boy, he doesn't understand because you aren't opening your mouth and telling him. To be fair, Segasaki is shit in the communication area too. Which is a no-go when living a D/s lifestyle. Also, humiliation is clearly not a kink for Yoh and that's something that Segasaki should really be respecting. "I hate my obedience, always giving in." That's something that a sub should never think. However, they will if you are a shit Dom.
Even I want to punch him over that curry comment. Okay, so there's the kink. Segasaki likes to see the anticipation from Yoh. That's why he is doing this. That little bit of talk back is, once again, not a slave. And why Segasaki immediately responded, he wasn't upset that Yoh talked back. So right now I can tell you on the sliding scale, Segasaki isn't a Master but a deep Dom with Master tendencies. I'm still trying to get a feel of Yoh, but I can say without a doubt that he is not a slave.
Oh, that was a brat move. He purposely did something he knew would piss off his Dom to get the reaction he wanted. Which was to be forcefully handled. That little moan he gave at the force. Boy likes some pain. That smile says that his Dom knows exactly what he is doing and is enjoying the game.
That command and demand for obedience. And Yoh does it. Not because he has to, but because at that moment he is dominated and he wants it. That's what makes him a subby sub. He's using the word slave, but there is too much give for that. Boy isn't willing to own up to his own feelings. Lawd, but these two are a mess. His Dom adores him. It's all right there, but Yoh can't see it. Because he thinks he is a slave. For whatever reason, he can't see all the freedom he is given.
The fact that he knocked and let him know that he'll be late. There is a lot of respect there. This is a right mess, it is. Honestly, it kind of giving me heart palpitations, and not the good kind. I have like this absolute need to contact all my subs to make sure everyone is healthy and happy. Ahhh!
I hope you guys enjoyed this. Much love. 💜💜💜

Why the Internet Shouldn’t Just Forgive Emma Roberts
(This is going to be such a long post, I do apologise in advance)
So, some of you might have seen that transgender actress Angelica Ross (Pose, 1984, Double Feature) made several tweets a couple of days ago detailing ongoing issues she had with Ryan Murphy. In addition to this she also tweeted that someone had been transphobic to her on the set of American Horror Story.
Will also tell you about the transphobic remarks my co-star said to my face, and the racism I complained about on set that they said was “free speech”.
There was a lot of speculation as to who the co-star was who made these transphobic remarks, and Emma Roberts’ name was one that popped up a lot (especially since Angelica tweeted a gif of Julia Roberts, Emma’s aunt, after posting about a transphobic co-star). Angelica then revealed on an Instagram livestream last night/this morning that it was in fact Emma who made the transphobic remarks. Here’s what Angelica stated what Emma said:
… And John [the director] is like ‘okay ladies, that’s enough. Let’s get back to work.’ And she then looks at me and she goes ‘don’t you mean lady?’
This is very clearly a transphobic comment, especially from Emma’s reaction/what she does afterwards (Angelica said that she covered her face and turned away).
It was pointed out on twitter from a clip of Angelica, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern and Gus Kenworthy reacting to the premiere of AHS 1984 that there had been transphobic behaviour on set.
Angelica: we are watching for all the transphobia on set.
Billie: always
Angelica: me and Billie are like ‘that’s transphobia’!
Angelica and Billie: we will come for you (in the nicest way)
So from just this clip it is said/suggested that there had been transphobic behaviour on set. There’s also one person notably absent here: Emma. They claimed they were watching the premiere together ‘as a family’ but admittedly the highest billed star is absent. Either Cody or Gus go “where’s Emma?” And laugh afterwards at one point, too.
This leads on to another thing Angelica touched up on in her livestream: Emma’s behaviour and relationship to the rest of the cast and crew. One thing Angelica said was that the first thing she saw Emma do was yell at the director, supposedly trying to make him cry. Angelica follows that by saying Emma always had to make sure that she was ‘number one on the call sheet’ and that she was the one in charge, including making sure her trailer was where she wanted it. This is already toxic behaviour. Moving on from that, Angelica starts talking about Emma’s relationship with the cast. It sounds like from what was said on the livestream that people weren’t very fond of Emma on set. She said she was playing ‘psychological games’ with them and that people supposedly wanted to fight her because of her behaviour. Doesn’t look very good on you if your co-stars aren’t fond of your presence, does it?
Angelica tells a story about how Emma asked them all how much they were earning that season. No one really answered her so she ended the conversation with “as long as you’re not earning over $100,000 per episode” and walked off. So from this and the earlier comment about her wanting to be top billed it’s clear that Emma wanted to be the most important person there and would not have been happy if someone was earning more money than her. Entitlement and selfishness. Even though she has always come from a famous and wealthy family she still seems to need to make sure she earns the most money and is the most famous and popular. But she’s also boasting. $100,000 is a lot of money to earn per episode and chances are her other co-stars (who may have needed that money more than Emma) are not earning that much. She’s boasting and wants people to know how much she’s making from the show. There’s no need but she’s doing it anyway.
Phew. That’s the stuff about the 1984 drama from Angelica’s livestream. But there’s one more thing from that livestream that I want to touch up on. Something that disturbed me. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a clip of this but I’ve heard multiple people (including the person who originally posted the videos) say that Angelica revealed that Emma would laugh and make jokes about getting arrested for hurting her then boyfriend, Evan Peters.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Emma would joke about her domestic abuse arrest.
This is disgusting behaviour, and apparently her own mother questioned why she was bringing it up and joking about it. Domestic abuse is not a joke and making light of the time when you were arrested for hurting your partner is not a right.
So yeah, if you weren’t aware in 2013 Emma was arrested for domestic violence against Evan after their neighbours in a hotel called the police after hearing loud arguing. Evan was found with a bloody nose and a bite mark and Emma was arrested. Evan didn’t press charges and Emma was released a few hours later.
After the news came out Emma’s PR team (‘sources close to Emma’ TMZ calls them) said that they were both hitting each other and that the only reason Emma was arrested was because she had no visible injuries. They also declined that Evan had a bite mark, which was something that had actually prior been confirmed by the police in a statement. This might just be speculation but doesn’t this sound a little like damage control? Denying injuries that the police stated Evan had and claiming they were both hitting each other sounds like a way of trying to push the blame off Emma as much as they could. Just saying 🤷♀️
(There’s a tweet of the infamous Evan hugging Emma whilst she’s crying photos which has zoomed in and highlighted what could be other injuries/bruises on Evan. It’s interesting to look at).
Yes, there’s the bruises on Emma’s legs and according to a lot of Emma fans that’s enough proof that Evan was supposedly the instigator and Emma was the victim. I’m not saying that the bruises on her knees are not from the altercation, just that it’s a lot easier to bruise your knees in everyday life than it is to get a bloody nose and bite mark and that this is not the conclusive evidence that Evan was the instigator that a lot of fans make it out to be.
This part is more a complaint about Emma’s fans as opposed to Emma herself but it’s still about her domestic violence arrest so it’s fitting to include it. There’s a lot of lies/misinformation that gets spread around about the DV situation. People on twitter claim that they’ve seen the police report and that it said Emma was defending herself. This is false. No police report has ever been accessed. People say that Evan started it. This is false. There is no evidence that Evan started the physical altercation but since he was the one found bloody it points more in the direction of Emma being the instigator. People say that they were both abusive. Mutual abuse is not a thing. But by saying that they were hitting/abusing each other then you’re still claiming that Emma abused Evan, so where’s her ‘cancellation’? People say that Evan can’t be a victim of domestic violence because he’s a man and taller/bigger than Emma. This is false. Extremely false. Men can be victims of domestic violence too, even at the hands of women. Just because Evan is taller and has a bigger build than Emma does not mean that she can’t physically hurt him. She clearly has. Men can be hurt by women. Don’t minimise their experiences.
I wish I could say that the 2013 arrest was the only physical/abusive story in relation to Emma but unfortunately there is (potentially) more. Blind items are essentially pieces of information that are submitted to gossip sites whilst keeping the identities of the celebrities they’re about anonymous (but it’s usually kind of obvious to guess who they’re about). There have been many blind items about Emma and Evan’s relationship and sadly some are violent. One states that she threw a glass at his head (you can see his maybe shaved head here) and another says that he woke up to her pacing the bedroom with a knife. There’s others about the two of them where they’re not violent but still show Evan being mistreated in their relationship and there’s also a fair few about her sleeping with James Franco whilst in a relationship with Evan. You can find a list of all Emma blind items here. Yeah, blind items should be taken with a pinch of salt but the large amount of blind items about Emma and her treatment towards Evan is concerning and kind of speaks for itself.
So, we’ve covered that Emma was transphobic to her transgender cast member, rude to the rest of her cast and abusive towards her ex boyfriend. What else?
There’s how she treats regular members of the public. There’s horror stories all over the internet of people’s interactions with Emma. Baristas and hospitality workers have some of the worst stories, about how she’s rude and aggressive, hates waiting and will even get angry if they don’t recognise her. Fans have had negative experiences where they met Evan and Emma together and whilst Evan would talk to them and take photos she would just stand their annoyed. People who have worked on sets with her have said that she’s a nightmare to work with. This tweet shows a compilation of just some of the tweets and comments about people’s experiences meeting Emma.
Well, that’s all the dirty laundry on Emma Roberts. Now, what’s the point in this post? What does the title mean?
Well, Angelica Ross tweeted that Emma apologised for her transphobic comments.
Thank you @ RobertsEmma for calling and apologizing, recognizing your behavior was not that of an ally. I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform.
And a large portion of the internet has gone from holding Emma accountable for her actions and acknowledging that she’s not a good person to suddenly worshipping her again and acting like she’s god’s gift. I’m so happy that Angelica has been able to get this sort of closure and an apology, I really am, but I just thought that her leaking that Emma was transphobic towards her would open people’s eyes to the type of person Emma is. She’s got a history of being a bad person, and people were finally opening their eyes to that. Unfortunately, they’re starting to blind themselves again and are going back to thinking she’s great.
Emma has never been held accountable for any of her negative behaviour. No one has ever held her accountable for the abuse with Evan, no one has ever held her accountable for how awful she would be to cast and crew. Angelica calling her out for being transphobic was finally a step in the direction for Emma being held accountable for her past actions which have had detrimental effects on other people, but they’re not.
Whenever you bring up Emma getting arrested people rebuttal it with ‘they were hitting each other’ or ‘Evan started it’ or ‘it was years ago, let it go’ or ‘she’s a mother now, she’s changed’. People always come to her defensive and either shift the blame onto Evan, just say ‘she’s changed’ or outright deny it. These people are protecting not a good person by doing this and their denial that Emma isn’t problematic leads to the issue of her not being held accountable.
If you bring up people’s anecdotes about negative experiences meeting Emma they instantly call them fake. Apparently everyone who says they met Emma and had a bad experience is a liar. No one’s allowed to have a bad experience with her otherwise you’re just trying to defame her.
This is a woman who was abusive towards her partner. This is a woman who was transphobic. This is a woman who treats people ‘beneath her’ like shit. And no one has ever held her accountable for any of this. Instead she’s almost protected by the internet, with people coming to defend her of you say even the slightest negative thing. This is not good. This is not healthy.
Why should Emma get a free pass? Why shouldn’t she be held accountable for her actions? Why should she be able to get away with everything she does? Answer: she shouldn’t. But she does. Because she’s an icon ✨ she’s mother ✨ she’s the moment ✨
She’s not.
Emma Roberts treats people awfully, but the internet chooses to neglect that. Emma Roberts is rude to her co-stars and crew, but the internet chooses to neglect that. Emma Roberts was abusive towards her boyfriend, but the internet chooses to neglect that. Emma Roberts is a bad person, but the internet chooses to neglect that.
#so sorry this is long#but I had a lot to say#I’m just angry#I don’t know what to tag this as I don’t want Emma fans to attack me#tw domestic violence#tw abuse#tw transphobia

Hoo boy, it was a mistake to play Ace Combat 7 before watching this.
I could probably just leave it there honestly. But I’m going to explain this.
Quick review of Ace Combat 7 - it’s not great. I really enjoyed Ace Combat - Assault Horizon when I was younger, so I bought 7 a little while after it came out and I just found it lacking. Half the missions seem to have you more at risk from environmental dangers than actual enemies, plane selection’s rather lacking unless you grind up some of the few enjoyable missions to unlock new ones (the lightning II is particularly guilty of this) and I was forced to rely on dlc planes for a good chunk of the game (there’s only three dedicated ground attack planes in the base game, all of which need to be bought, one of which is terrible). I will say that the base attack missions - get a certain amount of score within a time limit - were absolutely wonderful, some of my favourite missions in the game (especially the Snider’s Top mission), but because they’re also the easiest way to grind up currency, you have to play them over and over and over again, so the appeal wanes somewhat.
And the story…. Okay. Why are Erusea and Osea at war? Anyone know? Because I sure don’t. Yeah, I’m sure it’s explained in some backstory or other, but I would really like someone to just mention it. Because literally all the intercepted chatter is whatever the opposite of humanising is, because none of them express anything except a hatred for the enemy and a desire to attack them. So why are we fighting? Ace Combat’s cutscenes seem to think that they’re incredibly mature and weighty, but all they seem to be is people just staring at the sky and saying “what does it mean….. to fly” “what does it mean…… to fight”. Forgive me if I’m used to more than that.
I will say though, I actually really like how your wing-mates in 777 “spare” squadron are characterised (Mage Squadron just kinda sucks, moreso that you just never see them again after mission 3), I honestly wish we had more time with them because they’re just such a treat to listen to and fight alongside, since they very much don’t want to be here and are quick to remind us of that (I’m genuinely toying with plucking High Roller for use in Lancer). Also the voice cast is genuinely excellent, any fan of Persona 5 will feel right at home here, and it also led to the absolute wonderful feeling of assaulting an enemy base, and going “Lelouch Vi Brittania, is that you!?”.
Anyway, why did I feel the need to bring it up before talking about the new Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance trailer? Because it feels like it’s around the same ballpark. If I didn’t already know *why* the Federation and Zeon were at war, it’d feel like the whole independence thing would be swept under the rug.
“Why do we fight?” “Because those are our orders” - hey, wouldn’t it be more interesting to characterise someone as actually a true believer in spacenoid independence? Wouldn’t it be interesting to have them talk about what spacenoid independence actually means to them? Wouldn’t it be interesting to engage with the propaganda told to the population of Side 3 to motivate them to war? Wouldn’t that be relevant to an audience living in a world where the media is all-pervasive, and “alternative facts” are rife? Oh, the main character doesn’t believe in Newtypes and has a “Well, you gotta do what you gotta do” attitude to proceedings? Alright then. It just feels like a missed opportunity. Were I feeling especially uncharitable I might even call it cowardly.
To be honest, I think the main thing that’s bothering me here is just the line delivery for the Pink-Haired Character and the Doctor - they’re just so flat, and their lines are just blindingly obvious. “The Federation’s new mobile suit. This could turn the tide of the war” - it’s not foreshadowing if you just state what’s going to happen. “The Feds you save will just come back and kill my people, Doc!” - yeah, but you’re under the Antarctic Treaty, governing the treatment of POWs in wartime. Leaving them to die would likely constitute a war crime (I know Zeon’s got a lot of those, but still). It just feels like baby’s first moral dilemma. Also when Iria Sorari’s giving an explanation on newtypes, she just sounds bored, like she’s reading from a cue card. Y’know, it’s only one of the central precepts to the war for independence, don’t sound too passionate or anything.
Lastly - and I’m aware these are super nit-picky - when the Zaku slashes the shell in the last part of the trailer, it should have just flown off and penetrated anyway. It doesn’t lose all momentum just because you cut it in two. Also, I get that Japanese-to-English is never gonna be a 1:1 translation or anything. But Gundam’s had a bunch of series translated prior that can act as a cheat-sheet for pronunciation and finer details, so it’s really annoying to catch slip-ups here.
Right, now that’s all the negativity done with, what did I actually like?
Mobile suit designs are still top-notch, I really like the Gouf Custom and Guntank designs (it’s an Igloo-style Assault Guntank) in the new trailer, and I really like the new GM design - it feels like it extrapolated out what a GM based on the new Gundam would look like, and also remembered that the Federation’s mobile suits were derived from captured Zaku’s, hence the visor resembling a monoeye - it’s a really good way to take the design is what I’m getting at, and I fully expect we’ll see a model of it. However, it is just very odd seeing the more modern Zaku design side-by-side with the older Gouf Custom and Guntank designs. They had to model them anyway for the new engine, so why not go the extra mile and give us a greebled Gouf Custom or Guntank? (Yeah I know it’ll be a cost thing, and you *could* argue that a more “modern” Guntank would be the Assault Guntank, but come on) I really liked seeing the new Zaku I design also, I just don’t have an awful lot to say on it - it’s nice.
I do expect that we’ll get models of the new Zaku I and GM, but I couldn’t say on the Gouf Custom or Assault Guntank.
EDIT: Okay, so I posted this and had two immediate realisations:
Iris’s Zaku appears to have been repaired in several scenes in the trailer, so it’s likely it’ll get trashed at some point (there may also be another kit of it).
The reason the Gouf Custom hasn’t been given the greebling treatment like nearly every other mobile suit is likely so they can just make a coulor variant of its existing high grade kit, rather than having to make entirely new runners (plus they’d likely feel compelled to completely update the internals too, which would be rather expensive). It’s likely that the new Zaku II (boy I wish this thing had a proper name) will be at least partially based on the most recent Zaku II hg kit internally, again as a cost-saving measure (and a practical one too, come to think of it).

my monthly alien stage rewatch findings. or rambles. Yeah rambles. i didnt say anything about Black Sorrow or Cure because those are like the most analyzed videos of all time and im tired Sigh
My Clematis: It still amazes me how much of an effect this one still has on me after all the time that has passed and after all the things that have happened in Alien Stage by now. It truly represents every single thing that makes Alien Stage such a special story. I think watching it again after all that went on in the story just elevates it so much more. This time around what did it for me was the monologue because you can easily apply it to every other character in this and it just Fits so well. Because truly what else do these children have aside from one another? Who else are they supposed to believe in? Where else are they supposed to find a God that can keep them moving forward in a world as cruel as this? All of them have someone, the nature of their admiration and the way they express it varies so much between all of them, but it still follows the same principle after all. The whole mv just put it in such a beautiful way it honestly holds up as its own story but knowing there was way more to these two girls and this whole world makes it so much better. I love yuri
ALIEN STAGE: UUugggGGahsgagahHahwnajwjdj Sorry. Okay. This is like the actual real trailer for this thang and its also so perfect. It foreshadows everyone's role surprisingly well. I think the fact Sua is the one singing also makes it better somehow because it just makes sense. She's the one that indirectly triggered a lot of what happens in Alien Stage in the first place she's the most important for our protagonist she's related with the rest of the cast in many different ways and to this day we still know next to nothing about her and yet she's the one singing the song that can be considered a true introduction to this whole world and that's Fascinating to me. I just feel nostalgic about this one also even if it really hasn't been that long since it was released. General banger and also it looks pretty as hell it makes me ill. Waugh
Unknown (Till the end...): OKAY I REALIZED THIS WAS PROBABLY THE ONE WHERE MY OPINIONS WOULD CHANGE THE MOST i have recently taken quite a liking to thinking about Till since a Twitter thread changed my whole perception about him and Oh Boy Did It All Change. It kind of really fucks me up. Till's relationship with Mizi i mean. It's stated he's one of the most brilliant in Anakt Garden. Not only is he skilled at both singing and playing an instrument he's also a pretty damn good composer. It's really something when you realize Mizi was the one who gave him both the determination and the inspiration to achieve all of this. The song he performed was the fastest selling album and he made it to Top 2 despite the fact the aliens are just not fond of him at all to put lightly. And he only achieved all of this because Mizi decided to show him a kindness she has always been familiar with but also a kindness he never experienced once in his life. Till has suffered a lot. Struggling to find an alien that would actually want to adopt him, being experimented on by the aliens and probably way Wayyyyy more, but it only took a single person to show him kindness for him to be able to keep on living. The nature of his feelings can be easily interpreted as romantic but it honestly resembles more that of a painter and his muse to me. So how do you think he felt when he saw his muse experience for the very first time the unkind world they lived in? He couldn't even glance at her during his performance because seeing his idol in such a state was painful. That still didn't stop him from wanting to speak his heart out through a song specifically made for her to hear. I sure hope nothing bad happens to this determined and energetic little guy!
Ruler of My Heart: Hi. This time around i thought really hard about how naturally Luka could hit all of Mizi's weak points through his performance. It's like a skill he learned throughout the years which is a really disturbing idea for me because we all know the state of his mind but what else could this be than giving the aliens exactly what they want from hosting this competition through all these years? Luka's parallels with Hyuna in the way they went about their roles in this world always fascinated me greatly because on one hand we have a total rebel who didn't hesitate to escape and do what She thinks is correct and on the other we have the Perfect contestant for Alien Stage. A title that sounds prestigious but can be also terrifying if we look at it from a human perspective. Someone so capable of twisting people's minds for the sake of entertainment and someone just detached enough to not hesitate at the truly awful implications of being a part of this competition and still participate with everything he's got. We don't know what exactly is the reason he did all of this and we also don't know much about. Anything that goes through his mind. So what the hell am i even talking about honestly. I want him so badly its painful i can fix him❤️
TOP 3: guys Guys Guys Guys Guys Guys Guys. Here it is. Famously known video i never shut the fuck up about. I think dropping this not before Alien Stage started but in the middle of it was genius because now we know exactly what the nature of this world truly is. I will never shut the fuck up about how absolutely amazing this video specifically is. The shift between the perspective of Alien Stage the aliens have to the perspective the humans themselves have is so fucking well done it makes me insane everytime. What could Alien Stage be to beings incapable of feelings? Just the perfect source of entertainment and money they could ask for. Its nothing more than that. But to the humans themselves its absolutely everything. Where they could win everything or lose it all. In this world humans have no other option than to trust their abilities to have even the slightest chance of being given the right to live freely. Where the cost of losing is your life. But also where the cost of winning is your own humanity. This video represents all of that in such a perfect way and it makes me ill in the head. GHhagzgHagGagagagav im normal
MIZISUA: Having a dedicated video for the most important relationship in the whole series is actually such a brain move. You can always feel the love these two have for each other every time they are together but the way you can feel it here just hits. Not a single word is spoken and yet you can feel everything they felt for each other in just that peaceful moment they shared when they were being sent to Anakt Garden. And the way you can also feel the pain Sua's absence has on Mizi in the span of so little time. You can feel absolutely everything with just that final scene alone. You can also see how opposite they were to each other and yet how well they fit together despite that. Seeing Sua like this makes me feel ill because i know already how much Mizi's everything changed her completely. To be loved is to be changed indeed. This video says everything you need to know about their feelings for each other and im DIGGING IT man. I miss them so much it hurts
All-in: HEH. HEY. HI HYUNA. This is like the perfect way to introduce her. We already know Hyuna somehow managed to break into the competition itself to save Mizi and this video just enhances more the way we see her by showing us how strong she is both as leader of the resistance and as a person. Hyuna is by far the most mature of the cast and this video shows it in such a perfect way. Someone like her is exactly what Mizi needed to finally break away from the pain Alien Stage caused her and to search for a path of her own in the freedom she now has. I love how easy going and fun the whole song feels because its no longer a performance for the aliens its a performance for the humans. Its no longer a song trapped beneath all that surrounds Alien Stage. Its a song made for the people that are free from the aliens that's meant to inspire them to keep moving forward and to not stop fighting for the future where the humans hold freedom. All of this also makes the fact that Luka is such a huge trigger for her elevate both of their characters greatly and also just make the whole conflict between them more interesting. What exactly was it that made Hyuna despise this man to the point thinking about him makes her sick? What exactly goes through Luka's mind when it comes to Hyuna specifically? They make me insane in the head i think the day we get more Hyuluka lore is the day i officially pass away forever. Godbless

The Story of Young Master & A Fool
Something about the episode starting with Nueng and Palm changing their clothes in separate areas away from each other, only to end with them easily taking of their clothes in front of each other to symbolize them laying it bare and being comfortable with each other and their true selves...
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
*turns on "Heart to Break" by Kim Petras*
And when you touch me, I'm a fool This game I know I'm gonna lose
Palm comforted Nueng with touch several times throughout the episode to reinforce that he was there and not going anywhere, yet this was the one time Nueng finally gave into touching Palm!
And Palm is submerged in happiness because of it. One touch initiated by Nueng, and Palm is gone. Nueng warns Palm to not expect much from him (residual grief from his parents placing expectations on him and feeling like he is disappointing them?), but Palm tells Nueng he already sees the best in and of him, much like Nueng told Palm he wasn't afraid of him when he saw his raw reaction to Nueng getting hurt. They have seen each other at their worst and still like those parts.
Nueng, in fact, likes all of Palm's parts. He is staring at Palm, respectfully "FUCK! Seriously?! It's like you're photoshopped!"
Nueng always flips the dynamic and tries to serve his servant, but Palm gladly gives in this time because he finally has the upper hand on the beach where Nueng is constantly out of his element.
Please, baby Jesus with the historically accurate skin tone, LET THEM GET TATTOOS! Let them be basic boys and get them in Mandarin! I need more tattoos for the collection. María, if your son gives me a scene of them getting tattoos, I will make a budget instead of just telling people I'm on a budget to avoid doing stuff I don't want to do. *sign of the cross*
Cool tones vs. Warm tones. Cold stares vs. Warm stares. Hate vs. Love. But one thing remains the same - Wherever Nueng goes, Palm follows.
This is the buddy comedy I want! The way Tam was screaming for Mam to run was the best friend energy we all need in our lives. Then, Mam is such a mess, but girl, same. I'm not cooking. I'm making the rich boy work. I'm okay with you smoking pot with your boyfriend, but I draw the line at you being his bodyguard. I refuse to dislike a woman with this much audacity.
Palm reassuring Nueng that his mother is probably alive and being taken care of, while Nueng continues to question if Palm's mother can even be trusted is a stark contrast in how they care for each other. They both want to protect each other from unhappiness and pain but have very different approaches.
I hope Palm is right about Tanya because I keep thinking about this scene from the trailer and Nueng crying in the place he shares with Palm to grieve away from people.
And they took that personally
Get these tattooed on your bodies in Mandarin. DO IT!
Phum taunted them by saying they were boyfriends, and Mam also questioned it as well. Palm is surprised by the French and Chinese couple openly holding hands and stating they were boyfriends [This couple is the one getting married on the beach by Mam while Nueng plays the piano and Palm watches from the trailer], yet these two don't really know where they stand now that they no longer have to exist in a world dominated by their social standings. This is what pushes Nueng to clear up the meaning of the kiss.
The gay sheets are EVERYWHERE! 1) Thrilled that Nueng was direct and asked about the kiss; 2) Palm saying he kissed Nueng because it's his job to make Nueng happy is the same energy that Togawa was giving Nozue in Old Fashion Cupcake when he was helping his boss lighten up; 3) Palm asked Nueng what he meant by Palm having no feelings when kissing him, and if Nueng had waited a bit, Palm would have owned up to having emotion behind the kiss; 4) The last man who said a kiss is something special and meaningful had a funeral for a hedgehog then got laid on those gay sheets, so may the odds be in your favor, Nueng.
Next time, if you want to make me happy, you don't have to go that far. You can just act funny or play a joke.
He is staring at Nueng, lustfully. I don't know about y'all, but where I'm from, talking about chile (peppers) and saying things are spicy are innuendos for sex. And saying that Nueng was blushing because it was too spicy, then that his lips were swollen and burning due to the spiciness...yeah, um...
The shift these two have between the degrading and the formal, and how the insults are said with love, yet the formalities are said with sarcasm is such a special way to use language to show intent.
This is some really rich-boy energy he is throwing around, when the first episode had protest banners about taking people's land splashed right outside his gated house. He wants to make a public space his own private escape to the detriment of the locals who told him about it. However, the way the story keeps repeating the tale of the cow header and the weaver girl, I think this will be like 3 Will Be Free, where Palm returns to the beach, and Nueng goes to college abroad but visits Palm. They will be together but apart in the end and Our Skyy 2 will show Nueng visiting Palm at the beach. CAUSE THEY BOTH HAVE TO BE ALIVE when this is over!
Next week we get the rooftop scene from the trailer between Chopper and Ben, and I'm convinced that Chopper released that picture. I cannot be swayed! He is going to spend more time with Ben, and just when Ben is going to fall for him, he is going to find out that Chopper did it, and I'm going to be sipping my Lady Grey tea with glee.
I'm also even more convinced that Palm's dad is involved in the shootings and is working with the uncle. He had the escape plan all worked out for Palm, which makes sense if he was a good bodyguard and father, but he's not. I don't trust him! He called Mam and told her Palm would be living with her a while, so I don't think he planned for Nueng to live through the shooting. Even if this show ends and Chopper and Chanon are innocent, I'll take these beliefs to the grave. Namo 2.0.
#I didn't think this would be so long#But here I am‚ unhinged#Never Let Me Go#Palm x Nueng#Episode 6#the gay sheets#the stares#the touches#the chile references#Chanon is so sus#Let them get tattoos#these two make me sick#even if I end up in shatters#I give you my heart to break#Are we getting boyfriends next week that play piano on the beach for the the gay couple's wedding?!#I want to be normal about this show but I can't#It has consumed me

AN ~ So!! I needed a bit of fluff and humour after THAT EPISODE !! and after seeing their adorable lil faces in the bts pics with the medals this little ... cold open esque prologue? to 7x09 came to me in a lunch break :P enjoy!
note: contains a multitude of weewooified details about lafd and the military, for dramatic and humourous effect, plz don't @ me
Firefam. No spoilers outside of trailers. (~1600wd). Humour, but with angst bc I can’t stop myself putting these guys in Situations
bait and switch
The seats in the hallway are typical of any waiting room: plastic arms, kind of sticky, and weirdly cheap and tacky considering the significance of the life events about to occur in their occupants. The walls are a burnt-orange red. Fitting, if ominous.
The clock on the wall ticks on.
“Evan's been in there a long time,” Tommy observes.
“Too long,” Hen agrees.
“He's probably gone out the other way,” Chimney speculates grimly. ”Doesn't want us to see the broken shell of a man Gerrard's turned him into.”
Eddie sits a few seats away, with his eyes closed, envisioning himself as a puddle of jello. Well, he was. Well. He was trying to. He cracks an eye open.
“Thanks for the pep talk, Chim.”
“You're welcome.” Chimney huffs. He wishes he had his phone. Maybe he could text Maddie to call him away with some emergency. Sure he'd only be delaying the inevitable, but he'd take any respite at this point.
Eddie laughs. “Come on. He can't be that bad.”
Hen, Chim and Tommy fix him with a glare that tells him he knows not of what he speaks.
“Easy for you to say,” Chimney challenges. “We can't all have interrogation training.”
“What is it you think I actually did over there?”
Chim's been reading too much Zero Dark Thirty. Eddie rolls his eyes. But maybe there's something to having his military days at the top of his mind, because when the doors swing open he all but jumps to his feet, back ramrod straight. He wonders all of a sudden if he's somehow put his badges on backwards or something and it's all he can do not to fret with his collar and sleeves. He's heard the stories. He might have lucked out with Bobby as his Captain, but he's had drill sergeants like this Gerrard guy, and the performance anxiety is real.
“Firefighter Diaz.”
“Yessir.”
“Please come through.”
“Yessir.”
He follows obediently, his hands clasped behind his back in some kind of attention pose he isn't even deliberately aware of knowing how to do. The rest of them will take the piss out of him later, he's sure.
The doors close behind him.
The waiting resumes.
Chimney bounces a knee.
“They're doing this on purpose, you know,” he mutters, not quite to himself. “To make us sweat. I'm playing right into their hands.”
“I don't get it,” Hen muses, turning their situation over in her head. “I thought we were in the clear. No credit, no crime, right?”
Tommy shrugs. “You know how it is. Sometimes the brass likes to have their cake and eat it to.”
“I guess.” Hen sighs. “I'm sorry, guys. Let me talk to them. I meant it when I said I didn't want any of this to blow back on you – especially you, Tommy.”
“Hey.” He shakes his head, and waves her off. “I throw in, I'm all in.”
“Yeah,” Chim agrees. “We're in this together. Spartacuses. Spartaci? Although... I'd like to state for the record that per to the Geneva Convention I can't be held responsible for anything I may or may not say under duress.”
Hen all but rolls her eyes at him. Geneva Convention or no – and she's almost certain that particular one is a no - she's been locked up with the man and forced to watch him flatline repeatedly and he still figured out how to help save them both. There's not a force in this world that would make him throw her under the bus.
“It's gonna be okay, Chim,” she promises. Even squeezes his hand, for good measure.
But this time, the door opens too quickly. Maybe Gerrard is doing it just to mess with them after all. Still no Buck. No Eddie.
“Firefighter Han,” the bailiff-type beckons.
He squeezes his eyes shut for a moment and mutters quickly as he stands-
“Tell Maddie I love her, show Jee Yun pictures of my face!”
Then, with a dull BOOM!, the doors are closed again.
And then there are two.
Hen hangs her head. Lets out a breath.
Tommy lets his fall back against the wall.
After a while, they switch.
Tommy's head drops forward, resting on his hands resting on his elbows resting on his knees. He rubs circles on his own knuckles. Hen stretches her feet out in front of her, tips her head back and closes her eyes. She even tries Eddie's jello thing. She's never really been much of a jello person though, honestly, so instead, she copes by breaking the silence.
“What about you then, Kinard? Ever been court martialled?”
“No,” he says. “Although, I did get a summary once.”
“What for?”
“Conduct unbecoming.”
He looks up, and there's a glint of mischief in his eye that tells her exactly what kind of conduct. Hen's jaw slackens.
“No way. Team Jacob, huh?”
“Taylor Lautner? Please. I'm only a man.” He laughs and shakes his head. “Honestly, I didn't think much of it at the time. I mean, I got scared straight for sure - Got a slap on the wrist, a lot of hoo ha about an other than honourable discharge, so I pulled my head in. But I also figured, plenty of straight guys have 'experiences' on tour. Took me a while to put the pieces together.”
“How'd you figure it out? I mean without a hot pilot boyfriend of your own to sweep you off your feet.” “Ha, ha.” He fixes her with a meaningful gaze, and smiles. “Actually, I got yelled at by this really brave black lesbian firefighter. You could say she inspired me to do some introspection.”
“Yeah, well. We do have that effect on people.”
She is definitely not blushing and even more definitely not thinking about that time she cried in front of him. It's the last thing she needs, when the doors open again and he nods and disappears and then she's alone.
Then again, she thinks, maybe it's not the worst thing she could be thinking about. Gerrard used to have so much power over her. Over her mood. Over how she spent her day. What is she doing, giving him another day of her life? Sure, part of her is terrified and drenched in guilt that she's very possibly single-handedly ended the careers of most of her closest friends. But the other part of her – the bigger part, and only growing as she gives voice to it – knows she hasn't single-handedly done a thing, and that she would have just as soon thrown her lot in with any of them if they'd asked, or even if they hadn't. She's abseiled a collapsing bridge with them; been shot at; been kidnapped; put her life, her wife's life in their hands; held theirs in hers. She's sung in front of most of them; subjected them to her cooking; they've born witness to her tears and to her happy dances more times than she can count. At the end of the day, she has no regrets. So she's feeling a lot stronger by the time those doors open for her.
She takes a deep breath and strides forward, and notices straight away that the air in here is – weird.
It's not just Gerrard, there's several officials and even the Fire Chief. Bobby isn't here. He probably isn't allowed to be, as both the subject of the illicit rescue and Captain of the accused, so it's not surprising, but the absence of his steady presence rooting for her stings. These guys? It feels like they're all laughing at her. Like they're in on something she doesn't know – like maybe how delicious Gerrard is finding it that he gets to deliver the final blow. He was the one who gave her her badge after all, albeit reluctantly. It's weirdly fitting that he be the one to take it away. Although. She'd expected him to look a lot happier about it.
“Firefighter Wilson.”
“Captain Gerrard.”
“Is it true that on the evening of April 6 2024 to the morning of April 7 2024 you aided and abetted the appropriation of city resources including but not limited to rostered firefighters, radar technology, and an LAFD helicopter to conduct an unauthorised rescue operation on the cruise ship Ocean Joy?”
“Yes.”
“Your friends tell me you masterminded the operation.”
Deep breaths, Wilson. You knew this was coming.
“It was my idea. The others, they were just helping me follow a hunch. I take full responsibility.”
Gerrard gives a loud, pointed sigh. She can't figure out if he's impressed or thinks she's bullshitting him. Maybe both.
“Some hunch,” he says.
She clenches her jaw as she watches the man come down from the tribunal table. He takes his time on his way to her and she tries to keep looking straight ahead, like it doesn't matter to her what intention is glistening behind those beady shark eyes. He's getting so close now that he could just about rip the badge straight off her chest. Is that what's about to happen? To nearly twenty years of her life? She braces herself. Holds her breath. Mustn't let him see her cry.
He holds out a piece of paper. She blinks down at it.
“What's this?”
Her knees are numb but hold her up somehow nonetheless as she takes the paper and unfolds it.
PROUD TO PRESENT – HENRIETTA WILSON – with the MEDAL OF VALOUR
“I...”
Am I dreaming?
She blinks. Stammers. Looks around.
“What??”

It's infuriating isn't it?? The conversations on here and on lsa that I only check once a month (I've been having a very rough month cause I had the state examinations to keep working as a HS teacher in my country and my stress levels have been skyrocketing, I failed the first exam but I think I passed the last one 😭) have focused on how it must be super serious super real the family does like her ... For me -i of course only watched the fan dragging part- the most awful part because of the entitlement it showed was when Scott was like they call me brother-in-law they should come up with something more original... Like maybe someone should write now to him maybe your middle-aged bro should star in a lolita reboot playing Humbert Humbert tho we all know Adrian Lyne would've never hired him... I wonder if that's 'original' enough. Scott is still a literal nobody in HW saying stupid stuff about his brother's fans, that he used to love and bait on his cameo vids if memory serves me well. Honestly the strike comes just in time so they keep their mouths shut. He said the media wasn't negative, the media their PR firms pay lol, and also the general public while there was a jezebel article questioning how much of a cliche Chris has become and tons of people have called him a creep without knowing half of the story (insta). I mean they're prob the same people who laughed their arses off when the gene Kelly thing was announced because they know Chris can't pull that. I'm baffled at the levels of snobbery while they're giving jersey shore, trailer park white trash teas. And for the people who say Alba isn't racist because it's her friends, erm, there's still her very questionable filmography (what she does isn't pedo baiting -that, to my knowledge, it's when adult people pose online as minors to attract criminals -, it's 'pedo catering'), and if those roles were the only ones she was getting maybe she should've stopped acting. It's not like the world is sleeping on a Meryl Streep with her. Very sorry for my long rant, feel free to reply or not and many thanks for being anti EIAA because the days after that stupid wedding were truly annoying. Very sorry for the terrible hate and bullying you got from beyond ignorant anons. Stay strong, you're very appreciated,🤗
Damn, girl, you said all this with your whole chest! Hope your exams went okay.
I think these next few months are going to be very quiet, given his deactivation and lack of new projects, so I think his PR team is going to jump at anything to keep his name circulating. We may be in for a couple of months of total stupidity when it comes to the articles that get pushed out.

dast-pilled tinfoil hat speculation about last voyage of the demeter below:
(written when my adhd meds have worn off a fair amount so like reader beware)
alright, I’m cobbling together few different adaptations/timelines of dracula here so bear with me
obviously we’re not doing this movie strictly by the book (pun v much intended). we’re taking the log entries from the novel and running with it (which is. just how Adaptation Theory works, I know. but hang on.)
the introduction of new characters/fleshing out of people who were just barely named in the novel got me thinking about how in the lugosi/villarías simultaneous films in 1931, which were in turn based off the 1924 hamilton deane stage play (revised by balderson in ‘27 but w/e), renfield is present on the demeter. he is part of the journey as drac is picking off the crew one by one, instead of just waiting and growing more agitated at whitby, and it’s highly implied in the 30s films that it’s this trip that sent him fully over the edge into the manic state we see him in for the rest of the film.
this big reveal at the end of the journey, his discovery as the lone survivor of the ship by a horrified crowd, is a moment that was heavily referenced (beautifully, I would argue) in the recent nicholas hoult film, in which I think he knocked his dwight frye impression out of the fucking park.
(top: frye in 1931, bottom: hoult in 2023. again I say: goddamn!!!)
(not pictured: pablo álvarez rubio, who played renfield in the spanish language drácula filmed on the same sets during the same period but only at night IIRC bc Studio Racism to put it v bluntly, and who I honestly think was almost more horrifying in his manic laugh moment than frye.)
but so the thing I’m getting at, here, is there is room for a little… creative wiggle room, in just who turns out to be onboard this boat in this upcoming movie.
so I watched the trailer today while I was sitting around waiting for the new insidious (which imho was good if you like the franchise but that’s another post), and as someone who was already stoked for this movie and then got More Stoked when dast was cast, I found something kind of… interesting.
he’s really not featured in it a lot.
I mean I didn’t have a stopwatch out or anything, but in the most recent trailer, we maybe get a couple quick closeups of his face looking Alarmed/Concerned. but comparatively, we do get more footage of other crew members getting menaced/hunted/stalked/mauled.
so I was like “okay, maybe this is like the boogeyman, where he did a lot of press for it and then [spoiler].” so I went and checked imdb just to see what was up:
…he’s fourth billed.
so clemens is obvi the protagonist, anna seems to have a lot of lore to talk about in the trailer so she might be around as a key member, and then obviously the captain bc he’s our main point of view in the novel through his logs, IIRC. and there isn’t anyone else in the cast blatantly named “renfield.”
this does raise the question of “why is renfield using an alias and disguising himself as a deckhand to travel with drac” but then again, if I came onboard a ship and was openly associated with mysterious giant boxes of earth as cargo, and then something began fucking picking people off one by one when it got peckish, people would probably figure out there’s something fairly fishy about me and my giant fucking Dirty Boxes p quick. and in the ‘30s versions, the chapter was really presented as more a montage with some voiceover IIRC, only revealing renfield in the hold at the very end.
so what is dast doing in that particular spot if he’s just playing Some Guy? and why is he billed higher than dracula himself, javier botet? (whom I must add I adore from many things, and is one of my favorite Creature Guys next to the man himself, doug!)
(he’s like - eighth or ninth I think? and I get that he’s not billed v high bc we want to keep his onscreen presence fairly minimal to be properly scary, but in a film that’s ostensibly about dracula, it does make me wonder about the significance of the other characters listed before him.)
now look, I could be totally wrong on this - dast is also fourth billed in the boogeyman on imdb, and if you’ve seen it - well, You Know. but still! I don’t think this is totally impossible here!
bc he’s also been plugging an interview he did with botet in this month’s upcoming issue of Fangoria, which has LVoD as its cover
(I haven’t got my copy yet so I can’t confirm what all’s in there)
and one with horrorhound to boot:
so like! Idk! I could just really really want this to be the case, and the movie marketing team knows dast has a reasonably sized fanbase they can use to plug the movie to (me being a perfect case in point).
but I’m just saying… it’s not impossible we might get a second or third act plot twist that ends with dast having his own hysterical laughter closeup at the bottom of the deck stairs, yknow??
(god, that would be so rad. as a fellow horror nerd I would legit be so excited for him to get to have his own version of one of Thee Big Moments in film history.)
anyway, if anyone’s read anything somewhere that shoots this down, please feel free to lmk so I can adjust my expectations accordingly. I think I’m going to go back through the original chapter and see if there’s a Wojchek I happened to totally forgor (and not the historic bear I already associate with the name).
do with this what you will, maybe I’m totally delulu but I did at least want to bring up the possibility bc if I’m right that would just be the coolest shit in the world, imho.
also watch the old 30s movies if you can find them — they usually have cheap dvds of them at walmart during spooky season, in my experience, or try your local library. the lugosi version is iconic, but the villarías never got the recognition it deserved imho.
#last voyage of the demeter#david dastmalchian#renfield#dracula#dracula 1931#dracula daily spoilers#(bc this technically applies???)#in which I nerd out about dracula adaptations bc that is A Huge Scholarly Interest

Guys can I just say I’m like a massive beetle juice fan (both musical and the original movie with the musical being the first I ever seen live and I own a beetle juice poster along with a bunch of other stuff) and when I first heard they were making a sequel I was really pumped like “wow probably my all time fav movie is getting a sequel let’s go!” But more stuff came out like how the main character who’s going to be Lydia’s daughter (whose name I’m 99.9% is out I just don’t know yet) was going to be played by that one actress from Wednesday (I’m shit with names and don’t have the energy to look it up) which like okay I guess I mean she was a good actress in that show (in my opinion) so like yeah sure I’m okay with that but then a realization hit me “oh shit they just want to have another Lydia but wanna play it off in universe with someone else” which I’m not saying that’s 100% what they were wanting (as I don’t look at too much behind the scenes stuff for movies before they’re out so they could have explained it and I’m just wrong) and like I’m sorry but at least from what I’ve seen but there’s no charm to it like in the original from the trailers and like I can’t even say the charm is because of nostalgia because I grew up absolutely scared of this movie to the point where my parents would scare me by saying Beetlejuice and I’m totally cool with new movies coming out so it’s not just an “old good bad new” but also the whole Adam and Barbara not being in this movie because in the original it’s stated that they would haunt the house for like 100 years or something and we know damn well it hasn’t been that long so I expect at least some kind of decent explanation! Like from what I know there’s so many ways for this to end up and a lot aren’t good
Granted even with all this shit I’m still going to watch it in theaters but just know if the movie turns out to be bad I’m rebloging and saying “I told you bitches so!”

I wanted to ask you about Nick and his shift with social media. I also think a part of it could be that it looks from the outside perspective (as someone who isn’t famous or an actor/in that industry ) overwhelming for an up and coming actor to be getting to much attention (for Red, White, and Royal Blue and Bottoms too even though his role was minor ish in bottoms and now this new series. Twitter blew up when the trailer dropped and he got so much attention for that). He’s had other roles but these three I feel catapulted him further into this well known guy who people like to see onscreen especially Red, White, and Royal Blue. He’s also about to be in a movie with Anne Hathaway. Another thing that ties into being catapulted to this level is people suddenly wanting to know who the actor is. Who is this person we like watching onscreen? He’s shy but funny and we adore him. Where are they from? (Me speaking as I’m imagining what the public and growing fan base said after the movies and this series trailer dropped). He’s British which is obvious from his voice but if people never heard him speak they still looked him up and found out random things like the history of his Russian family lineage/last name, which he’s mentioned briefly in an interview how his family are very not close to that at all and it’s so far removed despite people talking about it a lot last year when he ‘blew up’. They dig and dig and even if there’s nothing that really comes up to the surface it’s still something he notices. He is still on Twitter even though he tweets very rarely and likes things and sees what fans and the public say. He’s on TikTok as well and sees the edits and the conversations around him in general and specifically his acting in Bottoms and Red, White, and Royal Blue playing the dumb jock and the sweetheart gay prince. And he’s enjoyed playing both but this attention must be overwhelming even if it’s mostly positive, plus he’s mentioned he has anxiety. If I was in his shoes I’d act the same way and not reveal myself to the public like I used to anymore either and post (I’m talking Instagram specifically and Twitter) because it sounds terrifying. Yes there’s the main aspect of wanting to come across as professional for future acting jobs and to people in the industry especially since he is on the rise and wants to succeed (which he will, but still). Aside from that, it still must be overwhelming to find a balance of how much do I share do i want to share anything at all. There’s actors his age who have been acting for a bit longer than him who share more or post silly/casual stuff every so often. Maybe he will post sillier/casual, less serious/majority professional/promotional stuff later down the line when he finds a balance or maybe he never will post that kind of stuff again and wants to keep that for himself (or on close friends Instagram story for him and his friends) and only post mainly when he has a project which is okay, too
Yeah I agree, which is why I got annoyed when earlier I saw Nick managing his social media as "rebranding". I think there always tends to be a moment where people look at their social media and change something that no longer reflects that, I've done that myself. Think about it, the pandemic officially ended like last year? He suddenly got this huge amount of attention, and yes, he has stated that he used to struggle a lot with his mental health. So him re-evaluating his social media and what he wants to present is just part of him adapting and growing up.

// hey hey thoughts on Jun's trailer?
I KNEW IT WAS GONNA COME OUT TODAY YES. Okay. Lemme just spill all the thoughts I have at initial watch. Maybe I'll rewatch it again later and notice new things. But this is what I noticed right now.
Here eyes do look a little "baggier" underneath, which does make her older than when we first saw her in the TGA trailer.
She is first seen fighting Jin in the trailer. Which makes me wonder 2 things. One) if fans are right and she's gonna "knock some sense into him." Thooooough. I don't really see why that would happen? Given that Jin hadn't really been a "Bad Guy" who needs sense knocked into him since TK6. As even in TK7, it looks like he's going on the right path, anyway. (andwellyouknowimhupingjinscharacterizationfromtk6getsalittleretconnedcoughcough) Especially I don't really care for the idea that a character can go from being a Ruthless Warmonger who treated everyone with no compassion to a Good Guy who deeply cares about saving even a single life because he met his mommy...? Like that's such a weak excuse to why he'd "turn around" anyway as fans are now theorizing. (But as I've stated multiple times on this blog - Jin's transition to a Bad Guy never made much sense and was also just full of flimsy excuses. So his transition back to being a Good Guy also doesn't make much sense unless they come up with something good. And this just wouldn't be... Good enough. And I was hoping that you know, TK8 will give us a bit better character / story writing - esp for Jin - since other than characters that have been turned into complete jokes or pushed to the side, he's been getting it hardest.
ANYWAY - Unless this is like in TK4 where she has to knock sense into Jin to not kill Kazuya. But given that the very first trailer looks like the Final Battle, and Jin is still stuck in the "we should've never existed" mindset. That's probably not it, either. Most likely she's probably just training with him to prepare him for the Final Battle. Or you know, just a trailer and nothing more.
Although she's almost always moving. Her stance DOES look like her Tag 2 stance, and she looks like she plays like her Tag 2 counterpart. Whiiich makes me happy. Given I actually preferred how Jun played in Tag 2 versus how she and Asuka plays in the main games. However I do notice something else...
She appears to bounce Jin with a spike of light here????? Which looks just like how UNKNOWN bounced the opponent with a gooey dark spike. So this makes me wonder if she's also gonna play like Unknown as well??? Which is very interesting. Given that Unknown is in a noncanon game. And that also means that the Kazamas may be even possess more power than we thought. Which could also explain why she needs to train Jin further and show him the power of Kazama style? As well as why she could've been possibly missing for so long? Maybe she's been honing such powers all this time? Either way, I'm very curious as to where this will lead.
AAAND, this may also prove my theory wrong? That this is INDEED the real Jun. But I just - ughhh. Kazuya doesn't really seem to emote anything here? He's just his Typical Self. "So It's You" Self. Like I'm REEEEEALLY hoping TK8 will delve into their relationship further. Because so far, every time Kazuya has canonically spoken of Jun - as I said - it's vague and with little emotion. Which is odd. Given they have a child together. (But maybe it really WAS a one night stand LOL.)
Also everyone being like "CLEANSE THE WORLD OF EVIL AND CORRUPTION?! SHE'S GOING TOO EXTREME, THIS MIGHT NOT EVEN BE THE REAL JUN?!
See? She still cares about Kaz lmao. It's as I said - she just wants to get rid of the devil gene. But as said... surely they're gonna delve into their relationship. Surely.

I'm just here because I love explaining fnaf lore. I'll explain it in q really weird way, by explaining how it's changed game by game. So, fnaf 1 gives us the basic premise. Someone killed 5 kids and now we have haunted robots. Fnaf 2 expands and introduces the puppet. In a previous location someone murdered a kid who went on to pusses the puppet and then the puppet gave gifts to the kids who died after it. Also introduces a guy in purple who killed the kids. Also FNAF 2 is a sequel.
FNAF 3 is when it starts to get fun. Now you have the dead purple guy be killed by a bunch of ghosts while he's in a suit that he later on goes to posses. Purple guy always comes back, it's in the ganes trailer, he always comes back. The FNAF 3 location (a haunted horror house) burns down and frees the souls of the children tormented by this accursed franchise. But watch out, purple man survives and he's still around in his yellow bunny suit that has his actual rotting corpse inside.
Now we have FNAF 4, has been retconned. It originally said that the entirety of the first three games was AlL jUsT a DrEaM oooOoo. That's why the ones you play against this time are called nightmares and they're in a child's bedroom. But nah, throw this away because no one liked that and Scott, the coward, said now there's lore (and in come the Afton's).
I'll mention the books (the first 4, at least which are full length novels) now, which are best treated like fanfiction of the Lore. They hold hints but aren't the truth. They introduce two important characters Henry Emily and William Afton. William Afton is the killer, and Henry is the founder of Freddie's. Henry is an engineer and the father of Charlotte Emily the main character of the books.
The first book follows Charlotte and some friends breaking into the old Freddie's location when they run into the serial killer and killer anamatronics. Here William is alive but has the scars from what killed him in the games.
Now we move on from those characters to FNAF world, the FNAF rpg. Not a joke, we have an rpg and it's pretty fun actually. FNAF world just thematically reinforces a lot of things but doesn't provide much. It introduces the idea of going too deep and meeting some fisherman at the end of everything called old man consequences. Also you set up some stuff that happens in FNAF 3 but no one knows what it actually means. It's heavily tied to fnaf4 somehow but again, it's all vague.
Okay, now onwards to fnaf: sister location. SL starts with some asking one Mr. Afton why his clown robots are designed to kidnap and murder children. Because afton, who's now canon to the games made a bunch of clown anamatronics that kidnap children. His first victim? His daughter. Oops! He killed his own dau6hy accident. Now she's haunting the killer robot and has daddy issues. After beating the game the player character has his insider scooped out by every single robot in the facility and they wear him like a meat suit to crawl out if the facility. But the meat suit rots and they abandon it. Surprise! Now instead of having someone haunting an anamatronic now we have someone simply haunting his own corpse. The player character is out there just as a walking rotting neat suit. Double surprise, you're Afton's sons and also probably the player in every previous game except FNAF 4 since that's your little brother (who you accidentally got killed using an anamatronic).
So, to recao while I'm here. This is now the story of the Afton's, one of the two families that run Fazbear entertainment. The eldest son accidentally kills the youngest son, bullying turned fatal. The father goes mad, and makes children killing robots (and experimenting with ghosts, it's implied but still not stated) that accidentally kill his daughter. He butties the robots in an underground facility and starts murdering the children himself. He stuff the corpses into anamatronics. The ghosts come back and kill him using a faulty suit (the suit also doubles as an anamatronic, it changed from suit mode to anamatronic mode with him wearing it.). The protagonist goes down to the facility looking for his dead sister, who along with her robot friends kills him and wears him as a suit. Now we have three dead Afton's possessing one thing or another roaming about. (Four, the youngest is still around but he's just a ghost, no possession. The protagonist gets a job as a night guard at different Fazbear locations but gets fired for tampering with the anamatronics (probably trying to free the souls, which he does in FNAF 3) and for smelling like the dead body he is. Eventually, someone finds Willam Afton's corpse inside the suit, and just places him in a walk through horror attraction (dead body and all? Huh?). Father and son meet, and son burns down the horror attraction freeing the children's soul but not killing his father.
Okay, that was a lot so process that because now we need to introduce the Emilie's into this story, and they mostly show up in the books so this will be weird. In the books, Henry Emily has a son and a daughter that die young. I cannot remember how, it doesn't matter. He builds 4 robots of the daughter, baby, kid, teen adult. Or kid, preteen, teen, adult. He puts his heart, soul, agony, misery and grief into making these and they develop sentience. The way it's meant to work is that he would boot and turn them off carrying the daughter from one robot body to the next. The books follows body number three, the second to last in maturity. Around 18 years old I think. She doesn't know she's a robot. Body number 4 is stolen by afton and used for his own dead daughter. None of this matter yet, or will but it sets some ideas up.
In comes FNAF 6, pizzeria sim. (5 was Sis Loc) where you play as the same guy only this time you're opening your own pizzeria instead of merely working nights guard at others'. The franchise owner tells you to collect the robots that show up in the back alleyway. Amongst these are, your sister, your father, the amalgam of machines that wore you like a suit (minus your sister, she had beef with the amalgam and left it. Good for her!), the puppet (the puppet is inside another anamatronic). At the end of the week, the franchise owner sets the whole place on fire and you all die happily together. It's implied you were in on this, or at least stated that you want it this way. We also learn a lot of lore. That franchise owner? Henry Emily. His daughter? The puppet. So the puppet is one Charlotte Emily, nice. We don't know wether Henry died in the fire. And so ends the sane part of FNAF and we enter
AR VR generation. This zone is a lot and a bunch of books release confirming or denying thing so here's the run down. Pain itself can haunt things beret of soul. Maybe any strong emotion can! So pain filled boards are scanned from the wreckage of the FNAF locations in order to use in a VR game except woops, the game is now haunted and possessed some chick named Vanessa who looks exactly like Afton's daughter. Yippee. She gets a job as the head security guard at a Freddie's themed mega mall called the pizzaplex. And here is where we reach the modern mysteries. I'll send them later since this is getting long but that's basically the lore for the first 6 games and some of the books. It's downhill from here. (If I don't send the new lore in a day bother me for it)
holy shit i already knew the lore was big, but i but this is BIG big
amd tysmm <3 i'll dm u for ur prize!!!! :3

I watched Antman And The Wasp: Quantumania last night and I have some thoughts!
If you haven’t seen the movie and don’t want to be spoiled, I’d suggest you don’t push the ‘read more’ button. If you have watched it or are nosy (like me) go ahead! And if you're currently not the biggest MCU fan, just letting you know that it's a good review, so do with it as you will.
Okay, let’s get into it.
I watched the movie in 3D and English, thank God, so I got the full experience.
I want to start off by saying that I had both low and high expectations, the former coming from a fear of Marvel screwing up Phase 5 and making me not enjoy their movies as much as I used to, and the latter because of the same reason because I don't want Marvel to screw it up and I hoped Antman would be as good as the trailer promised. I also hoped for Marvel to do their best at starting off Phase 5 after so much talk about how exciting it was going to be and that the future of the MCU was looking up again. I hoped for that.
In the end, Antman wasn't as good as it was promised in the trailer and the many reviews of the first screening I've read before.
It was better. Much, much better. And that comes from a personal place, of course, and how I viewed it, but let me just say, the entire room was burning (in a good way) and I wasn't the only one blown away.
Now that I've said it, I have to explain why I think that way. Or, I want to because I'm annoying and I like to share my opinion on things that no one asked for. (And most of you voted for more Daredevil thoughts no one asked for in the poll I made - this may not be Daredevil or Matt Murdock related, but in the end DD: Born Again will be part of Phase 5 so Antman actually plays an important part. It just set an example for what's about to come.)
1) I went into this movie with the fear that Marvel rushed the CGI again and completely missed the point (I liked Thor: Love And Thunder but the special effects and world building could have been better) so I kind of went into it with the fear that they ruined it. It, however, did not disappoint. Marvel did not disappoint with the CGI or world building. They did an incredible fucking job with it. And whoever is leaving terrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes... have you watched the movie? Because from what I've read, we've seen two entirely different versions. And I'm not saying this because I'm prejudiced (okay, maybe I'm holding onto too much hope, but whatever, I've viewed this movie entirely objectively because I was not convinced that Marvel would actually pull it off). The movie did exactly that. They pulled it off. Which brings me to…
2) They outdid themselves with the world building. I watched it in 3D, as previously stated, and I felt as if I was actually there. The Quantum Realm was so well-made, I can't really describe it. It partly looked like I was staring at the corals under the sea, then there were obviously some of the elements that we saw in Multiverse of Madness when they, like, entered the broken Multiverse. It was a lot, but it was well-made. Anyway! Watching it, I found myself thinking back to when Endgame came out and I watched the big battle scene. You know, when Marvel didn’t rush their projects? They did amazing and I bow down to the team. It was great, it gave me many different vibes and I just felt so enchanted at certain points because they created something magical with this. I might be exaggerating, everyone is going to have a different opinion on this movie, and that’s okay, but in my opinion, this was an amazing start and I hope Marvel continues doing what they did with Antman in their future projects.
3) The details. Let's talk about the details. The Quantum-People (I will call them that now) weren't overdone. They looked as real as something that actually doesn't exist can look real, and I was in love with the creature without holes (I have no idea what else to call him). The detail with the "ooze" that made them understand the language of the Quantum-People was also an amazing addition and of course, a necessity; I would not have sat through two hours of gibberish. And when it came to the Quantum Realm and the core, I could have sworn I saw hints at the mirror dimension. It looked like mirrors floating around anyway. And the probabilities that split Hope and Scott into several parts of themselves? Yeah, it really looked like I was staring at a million Paul Rudd's. I'm not kidding, if Marvel had done it like She-Hulk, I would not have been convinced because it would not have looked as real as it did. There are other details that I can't quite remember, I would have to watch it again to go deeper, but who knows, maybe I will. I loved it and I would so watch it again.
4) The balance between comedy, darkness and drama was perfect. We know Scott Lang is a funny guy and Paul Rudd was born for that role, but they incorporated jokes at just the right moments, and they weren’t overdone. It made the entire cinema laugh, and didn’t feel forced. Not to speak of the battle scene at the end, it had me at the edge of my seat. I thought Cassie was going to die, then I thought Scott was going to die, then I thought Hope was going to die... I had a lot of thoughts all the time. They really made it so that you wouldn't suspect anything. I thought the villagers would lose; they didn't. I thought something might happen to our protagonists; nothing happened. Or, something did happen, but no one died. And then I thought Kang would still win, especially when he pulled Scott away from the portal and beat him senseless. I was almost crying because I thought Marvel killed another Avenger, but then Hope came and she saved the day. And they still managed to make me laugh throughout even the parts that had me scared for everyone's lives, and then I cried when the portal disappeared and I was like: NO GOD PLEASE NO. But they’re safe (for now). They came back. They made it out. That's all that matters for now. We are not looking into the future because God forbid, I am scared for every single MCU character - no one is safe!
5) I really loved Cassie. That’s it. I don’t have more to say. She was perfectly badass while sharing her father’s humor and attitude (which I completely support) so they did a great job with her too.
6) The Ants. They did the movie title justice. It wasn't just some timeline slash multiversal mess, they actually incorporated the ants and Hank's connection to the ants. And the way they started building their own technology? We need to appreciate the intelligence of ants because they're not just smart in the movie, they're also pretty smart insects in real life!
When they came to save everyone’s asses in the end? I was like, ‘You go ants!’ And I liked Hank in this movie too. Jane not so much, but with that I mean her character and not the acting performance. They did all remarkably well.
I’m not a movie critic, so I don't have a professional view of things or whatever, but it was really great and they exceeded my expectations with how the characters were portrayed, what they did and when they appeared. And the casting of Kang is *chef's kiss* honestly. I thought it when watching Loki and I'm even more convinced now that he is going to absolutely kill it in Phase 5. Amazing villain, amazing actor, well done! (Now I sound like one of those critics, but I promise, I'm not. I'm just an obsessed fangirl who doesn't know much, she just likes to watch movies, and now also reads comics, and who's just chronically obsessed with Marvel and everything relating to it.)
6) The foreshadowing at the end, at first, made me think, I knew this would come; the fear of Kang and what he said about everyone dying and Scott worrying about it. I expected that much, but then the mid-credit scene came on and I was like ‘hold up a minute, WHAT?’ When all of Kang’s variants got together to conjure up some evil plan. I did not expect that.
7) AND THEN LOKI IN THE POST-CREDIT SCENE? I thought to myself, maybe we’ll get the trailer for season 2 (and I’m really not that excited for it because of the last season, but I’m still gonna watch the shit out of it), and then the scene came on and I saw Loki AND Mobius together, sniffing out Kang, and I gasped. I audibly gasped. ‘Cause it was an entirely different timeline and I’m not sure if those were our Loki and Mobius or variants, but I guess we’ll find out in the show. And Kang will return, so he IS gonna be the villain of Phase 5 (which we all already knew) and I think that’s awesome.
Maybe I’ll talk some more when I’ve processed what I watched. But for now, that’s what struck me the most.
