When your dad’s new coworker asked if you’d be interested in housesitting for some easy money, you couldn’t find a reason to say no. Agent Kennedy, like your father, traveled for work a lot. Often gone for weeks at a time, he needed someone to watch the place and take care of menial tasks like getting the mail and watering the plants. It paid well and all you had to do was basically live in his house.
You had met him several times in passing before he offered you this job, and he was always nice to you. He would say hi when you’d come down for a snack while he talked to your dad in the living room. He’d ask how college was and about the different classes you were taking. One time he even told you about some old band he liked that he thought you would too. And that was all great.
But what was even better was that he was fine as fuck.
You had a fat crush on him from the moment you were introduced. The way his eyes pierced right through you but in the softest way. How his lips curled into a knowing smile while his hand gripped yours in a firm shake. The way he said “pretty name for a pretty girl” when you told him your name. From any other middle-aged man, that would have been so corny and had you internally shriveling up. But from him… you had to fight the urge to get on your knees then and there.
He’d approached you about watching his house, saying something about how there had been some nearby break-ins in empty houses and it would be a good way for you to get some spending money and blah blah blah. You were on board as soon as the opportunity to have more of him in your life presented itself.
Unfortunately, it was the nature of housesitting that you rarely saw your employer. You would see him when you showed up and when he came home and that was it. But those moments were enough to sustain your delusion.
The first time you came over, you walked into the house, glancing around the den of the man who enraptured you. It was pretty basic, but you figured that not being home a lot would be the reason for that. When you were done trying to psychoanalyze him from looking around his house, he gave you your own set of keys with a wink that had you blushing an embarrassing amount.
“Thank you, Mr. Kennedy,” you said softly.
“Call me Leon, Sweetheart,” he replied.
You had to look away to conceal your giddy smile. You didn’t think he noticed the effect he had on you. Or if he did, he didn’t care about your pitiful infatuation. But other times, you could have sworn he did this kind of thing on purpose.
Your first stint in the house went smoothly. You made sure to do everything he asked and even cleaned up the place a little bit. When he returned from wherever his work had taken him that time, he seemed impressed to your delight. He looked around, making small talk with you before writing your check.
“You get up to anything crazy while I was gone?” he said, smirking as he scribbled his signature on the small rectangle.
“Yeah, I was real wild - I brought out your vacuum for probably the first time.”
He laughed, handed you the check, and teasingly purred “good girl.”
Now, he may have been joking, but your panties nearly soaked through with arousal regardless. You yet again hid your revealing expression as you said a timid goodbye and headed out to your car. You were shifting your thighs together the whole ride home, fantasizing about being a good girl for Agent Kennedy so he would relieve that ache between your legs that clouded your thoughts.
Honestly, all of this made you feel pretty pathetic. Lusting after your father’s coworker, now technically your boss, who was a good fifteen years older than you. Blushing and squirming every time he said something more than ‘hi.’ Weren’t you better than this? But then you’d see those thick biceps and mysterious eyes, and the answer in your mind would be a resounding no.
Because honestly, you weren’t better than this, you were so much worse. After the good girl incident, you decided that if he didn’t want you yet, he would. You would make sure of it. From then on, every time you were housesitting, you wore your most revealing outfits, did your hair all pretty, and even tried special perfume so you’d smell extra nice.
But none of it seemed to work. He kept up his regular teasing and charm, but to your dismay, he hadn’t railed you on that sad leather couch in the living room. You tried to convince yourself that his gazes lingered longer and that his touches were more strategic, but that felt like reach even for you.
It was so frustrating. What more could you do? You touched his arm while he spoke. You laughed harder at his corny jokes. You even hugged him once or twice when you could justify it. You tried to drop hints every way you could without literally just trying to seduce him, and he did not seem to care. You nearly gave up. You decided that maybe you should just cut your losses and spare yourself the humiliation. Leave yourself with some dignity and resign to just being his housesitter.
You would have done this if not for the fact that he lets you sleep in his bed while he’s gone.
His house was meant for one person. It didn’t have a guest room. He told you on your first gig that you were obviously allowed to sleep in his bed since the alternative was the aforementioned sad leather couch in the living room. He told you to bring whatever you needed to be comfortable - sheets, blankets, pillows - since you’d be there for weeks at a time.
At first, it was too weird. It made you feel dirty, sleeping in his bed while harboring your secret carnal desires. But goddamn, that couch in the living room was uncomfortable. You stuck it out for the first time, but the second time you housesat, you relented and dragged your belongings back to the room you’d forbidden yourself from knowing.
His bedroom, like the rest of the house, is pretty blank, but there’s a little more personality here. It made you feel like such a stalker, but you couldn’t help making observations, right? You got to see the type of cologne he wore, the few dusty books he kept next to his bed, what kind of stuff he crammed in the nightstand drawers. It sounded creepy, but you just had curiosity, right?
You set yourself up in his queen size bed, draping the plush blanket you brought with you across the mattress. The bed was comfy enough, but the absolute best part, the part that kept your fantasies alive and well, was the way the sheets smelled like him.
You nearly moaned when you took a deep breath, filling your nose with that familiar scent. It gave you such a rush pushing your face into those smooth gray linens. It was so wrong, but you couldn’t help shamefully slipping your fingers beneath the waistband of your shorts to play with your swollen clit. You clutch the sheets in your fists as you writhe on the bed, whining as you fantasize about your special agent.
Leon had gone years leaving his house desolate without an issue. All that nonsense about potential burglaries and spending money for you had been total bullshit. It’s not like there was anything of value in his house anyway. Those excuses served only as a way to get more of you in his life. He thought housesitting was a happy middleground, a tether to you without being obvious about his motivations.
Ever since he saw you for the first time, heading out your front door, offering a timid ‘nice to meet you,’ he had been hooked. You bewitched him with your sweet temperament, that soft laugh when he told you bad jokes, those gorgeous eyes projecting all the emotions in that pretty head of yours. God, you were so fucking cute.
You made him feel like a dirty old man, sick and perverted for coveting his colleague’s daughter. The embarrassment he felt within himself when he’d notice he was staring at your tits or imagining how your soft lips would look wrapped around his cock was immeasurable. Even though the guilt boiled inside him, he couldn’t stop himself. He craved you. He started finding more opportunities to visit your house, hoping he could steal a few moments of your time. That’s when he knew enough was enough.
Having you as his house sitter worked perfectly. He could have his moments with you without feeling too disgusted with himself. Even though he liked to tease every so often, he kept it friendly. He noticed that you, on the other hand, seemed to be doing everything to change that.
He wasn’t a fool. He could see the changes in your appearance. Those skimpy outfits you’d flaunt yourself in drove him crazy. The way you’d playfully roll your eyes and brush his arm had his cock twitching in his pants. It was becoming all the more tempting to spread you out on the dining table and take what he wanted. But he still wrestled with that part of himself that said to not take it too far. That you deserved better.
That was until you started sleeping in his bed.
He had come home after your second gig, given you your check, and sent you on your way quickly because he was exhausted from his mission. He went straight to his room and collapsed on the bed. He could tell the sheets had been freshly washed by the soft feel, but also because you were always going above and beyond to please him. Despite the recent cleaning, he swore to himself he could smell some of your perfume on them.
He looked like a madman, smelling his bed sheets for the faintest hit of that scent. He groaned, picturing you lying here, your beautiful body sprawled out on his bed. He inhaled deeper while conjuring images of your unkempt hair and sleepy eyes. It wasn’t long until his dick sprung to life as he saw images of you with one of his pillows between your legs, whimpering as you drag your dripping cunt back and forth along the fabric. He couldn’t help the need to desperately pump his cock to sinful visions of his precious girl.
This morning it’s about six when Leon unlocks the front door and quietly walks inside. He completed his mission hours before. He was tired, but it had been short, only about a week, and relatively easy. He told you he would be home in the evening, but he’d finished earlier than expected.
He trudges through the house and down the hall to his bedroom, collapsing in bed at the forefront of his mind. It’s not until he reaches the door and hears your deep breathing that it occurs to him that his bed is currently occupied. He gently pushes the door open and walks in, planning on rousing you so you could get your money and be on your way. When he sees you though, that plan vanishes from his mind.
The sight of you nearly melts him into a puddle. He pads closer to the bed, careful not to disturb you. Your shiny hair is draped across the pillow as you lie on your stomach with one leg hiked up. Your arms rest close to your face, their raised position causing your t-shirt to ride up and allowing him to see your waist. The blanket was tangled between your legs, and his eyes are immediately drawn to the junction of your thighs covered only by those thin panties you wore.
Despite your beauty, he controls himself. He pulls the blanket over your lower body and sits beside you to contemplate his next move. He came up with a few different things he could do, but all he wanted right now was to watch you sleep. He felt like such a creep, but you looked heavenly in this state. His ears strained to hear those delicate exhales coming from your parted lips.
He could just go sleep on the couch until you woke up. He could just wake you up and offer to let you stay until you had your bearings. Or he could just let himself enjoy this a little more.
He wanted to wake you though. He wasn’t fully sure of what he was doing, but if there was any part of you that had reservations he wanted to know. It would rip his heart to shreds if he frightened you somehow. He begins rubbing your back in long soothing strokes. He makes small circles with his fingers every so often. You stir a little, but don’t wake.
He continues his ministrations, smiling at your sleeping form. He uses his other hand to brush your hair from your face. He strokes the locks away from your closed eyes before leaning closer to you. He can smell that familiar scent that had driven him to humping the sheets for the last few months.
“Hey Angel, need you to wake up for me,” he coos in your ear, his hot breath fanning across the side of your head.
It slowly registers inside your unconscious mind that you aren’t dreaming. Actual fingers are coasting along your back. An actual voice is coaxing you back to reality.
A low hum emits from your throat as you shift to face the source of your disturbance. Your eyes open, still heavy from sleep, and Leon enters your field of vision. For a second, you wonder if you’re still dreaming.
“There she is,” he whispers, giving you that charming smile. He runs his fingers along your jaw and tilts your chin to turn your face completely in his direction.
You feel your brain malfunctioning as he floods your senses. The morning light coming through the window illuminating him as he looks down at you. The deep timbre of his voice speaking to you. His rough fingertips dragging across the smooth expanse of your cheek.
Soon as your eyes come into focus and your mind clears the fog of sleep a little, you grasp enough of the situation to feel a jolt of panic. It felt like you woke up late for school. You shoot up in bed and look at him with wide, apologetic eyes.
“Oh my God, Leon, I’m so sorry. I thought you wouldn’t be back until tonight. I’ll be ready in a minute. Just-” you ramble. You go to fling the blanket off of you, but remember you didn’t wear shorts to bed. You have to sit there, looking at him as you feel heat creeping to your cheeks.
“Hey, it’s alright,” he cuts you off with a quiet chuckle, gently catching your arm when you sit up, “I finished a little early. You don’t need to rush out the door. I figured you’d still be asleep.”
The look in his eyes soothes you. He has that rugged, worn out look that he gets when he comes back from missions. Your heart rate falls back down to normal levels, but your eyes still cast downwards, a little embarrassed he’d caught you unprepared. His fingers trail up and down your arm, and you shift a little to try and hide the fact that your nipples are hardening beneath the flimsy fabric of your shirt.
“Thank you. I’ll be up in a few though. I know you’re probably tired,” you say, giving him a sheepish smile.
He moves so that he’s further on the bed with you. He lays back on the pillows and looks up at you, rubbing your back how he was before you woke up.
“Mmmm, I am, but you still don’t need to rush. I’m not gonna complain about a sweet thing like you warming my bed,” he says, that teasing smile spreading across his face and his fingers starting to trace patterns exclusively on the small of your back.
Your eyes flit away as your own smile grows on your face. How were you supposed to be normal about this? You look down at your hands in your lap and mutter a thank you.
“Honey, you really don’t need to be so shy all of the sudden,” he says softly, but there’s a smug lilt to his voice as well. You bite your lip as his hand begins fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.
He can’t help the smirk and predator-like glint in his eyes that form at your reaction. This was it. That little smile and refusal to meet his eyes was all he could stand. He was closing in now. The flirtation between you two had gone on long enough. He wanted this, and if you wanted it too, his mind couldn’t find a reason to deny the two of you any longer.
“Sweetheart, if you have something to tell me, you can come out and say it. I don’t bite. Unless you want me to,” he says as he reaches up to pull your hair behind your shoulder and out of your face, “And, lately I’m starting to think that’s what you want.”
You look over to him now, your eyes staring into his. Your limbs feel weak, disbelief coursing through your veins. Your thoughts stampede through your mind, but you eventually force the words from your throat.
“I think I want that too,” you breathe. Your heart seizes at his brows playfully rising. You lay down on the bed, resting on your side so that you and Leon are face to face. Your pulse thunders in your ears while you try to conceal how shaky your breathing is.
He scooches over to you, pushing you on to your back and propping himself on his elbow so he’s positioned above you. He leans down and presses two faint kisses to your cheeks. Pulling back, he looks into your eyes and strokes your cheek again with the same soft and slow movements.
“Think, babydoll? I think you know what you want,” he whispers, dragging his thumb over your bottom lip, “I think you’ve known for a while. Wearing all those cute little outfits, prancing through my house and brushing against me like a kitten. You were just begging for my attention.”
You squirm slightly under the spotlight of his affection. Somehow, you maintain eye contact even though every cell in you feels the urge to look away. Part of your mind wonders if he’s still teasing. If he’s about to pull away and leave you wanting.
Before you could overthink anymore, his head lowers to the crook of your neck. He takes a deep breath of you as he moves himself further on top.
“Now, you’ve got it, but all you had to do, sweet thing, was ask,” he says as his mouth ghosts over your neck, “That’s all you have to do right now. Just want to hear that you want me as bad as I want you.”
“Yes,” you whimper without a second thought, “Please touch me.”
“That’s my good girl,” he hums as he begins kissing your neck. The kisses are soft. They’re barely there, but they’re overwhelming to you. You can’t help the pathetic sound that leaves your lips as you tilt your head back. The hand that had been touching your face trails down to your waist and begins caressing your side under your shirt.
His tongue gently laps against the skin of your neck between kisses. Your whole body is starting to heat up while simultaneously getting chills. Every inch of you aches for his touch. Your thighs subconsciously spread as your breathing becomes heavier.
Leon lets out a small laugh at your display. “You must really want this Baby. Just a few kisses and rubs and you’re already mine,” he murmurs as his lips move up your neck and down your jaw. He kisses your lips next, giving your bottom lip a little nip.
Another needy sound escapes your mouth. You return the kiss and flick your tongue against his lips. “I do, wanted this since I met you,” you moan, your body writhing for more.
“Naughty girl,” he teases against your lips, “That’s okay though, Angel. I’m the same way. Wanted a handful of these pretty tits since I saw you.” His hand moves up and kneads your breast. His fingers massage the flesh before centering and pinching your nipple.
You whine and arch into his touch. Your eyes flutter as your face contorts with desire. He slides over you, straddling your waist. He stares down at you and takes in what was finally in his grasp. He coos for you to sit up a little while he pulls your shirt off of you. You comply and then flop back against the pillows. Now exposed from the waist up, his eyes feel even more intense. He’s locked on to the view of your tits.
“Oh, Sweetheart,” he mutters, “Even better than I imagined.” His hands cup the sides of your breasts, groping them a bit. You can now see his cock beginning to strain against his jeans. Your mouth waters at the sight, but it’s gone when he leans down to take a nipple into his mouth.
His tongue circles the peak before lapping against it, drawing more whines from you. Your body arches into his touch while his hands never let up their fondling. You take your lip between your teeth again. He moves to give the other nipple the same treatment, leaving the other one cold as the air touches the saliva-coated skin.
He plays with your breasts for a while more before drifting down your abdomen, lavishing your stomach with kisses. He squeezes your waist as he playfully tugs the hem of your panties with his teeth. He looks up at you deviously. “Your nipples were so hard, I bet your pussy’s fucking soaked for me.”
All you can do is nod, any verbal response tangled up in your esophagus. He leans back on his knees and swiftly pulls the garment off. His pupils seem blown out as he gets a look at your cunt. He pushes your thighs to your stomach, spreading you out for his gaze. You felt so exposed, at his mercy as he held you there and just looked at you. Your arms reach down and pull at the hem of his shirt.
“Wanna see you too,” you whimper with pleading eyes.
“Yeah?” he says with a soft smile. He leans back and pulls his shirt off. It takes everything in you to hold back a gasp. “Been fantasizing about me, have you?”
Your eyes rake along his chiseled abdomen, drinking in every line and shadow of his muscular frame. You reach out and pull him back on top of you. His grin grows, and he indulges you. You connect your mouths again, this time sliding your tongue inside his. He groans at your sudden eagerness. He runs his hand through your hair while you feel up his back, exploring the definition there.
You give him a little push, signaling that you want to roll over. His body flips over and takes you with him so that you’re positioned how you wanted. You make out for a minute more until you pull back, looking at him with your lustful eyes and swollen lips.
“Wanna suck your cock,” you say simply, sliding down his body so that you’re lying between his legs. You nuzzle against the bulge in his pants before unzipping them and tugging them down.
His eyes follow your every movement. He pets your head as you rub your face against the outline of his dick. He tilts his head back and lets out a sigh.
“That’s a good girl, just gotta give you some love and then you loosen up, don’t you?” he coos.
“Mhm,” you hum. You kiss his solid length over the cloth of his boxers. Then, finally, what you had been waiting for since meeting Leon. You loop your fingers over the waistband of his underwear and pull them down, unveiling his beautiful cock.
You wrap your fingers around it, just an exploratory touch. You feel the veins in your hold and the heat radiating from his shaft. You slowly bring your head to the tip to give him some tiny licks. Your eyes dart to his face, looking for approval.
Leon’s chest ached from the way you were looking at him like he was a god. When your tongue sticks out and your eyes return his stare, he nods at you and keeps stroking your hair. Your lips soon wrap around the tip, and you bob your head a little. He groans and his hips twitch.
“That’s a good girl, baby. Good fucking girl,” he moans as your head slides further down his member. His fingers lace through your hair, pulling a little.
The praise only makes you more enthusiastic. You move up and down with more speed, making lewd slurping noises as you work. His hand on your head and his sounds of pleasure has heat collecting in your belly, leaking out of your dripping pussy.
His head rests against the head board as he watches you with half-open eyes. His eyes squeeze shut and his body tenses as you push your head all the way down, taking him into your throat. Spit trickles from your mouth and drips on to his pelvis.
“Fuck, Sweetheart,” he whimpers, tugging on your hair a little. You taste his pre cum leaking on your tongue. A gagging noise comes from you and his hips twitch harder. He barely restrains himself from bucking up and lodging himself deeper in your throat. You moan around his cock, driving him even crazier. He feels the rush of an orgasm approaching and tugs your hair with more firmness, guiding your head up and off his lap. You whine softly as you lose the taste of him.
“Sorry, pretty girl, don’t wanna cum just yet,” he says.
You crawl back up his body, so you’re in his arms again. You kiss his cheeks and the corners of his mouth as he rolls the two of you over so he’s on top again. He connects your lips in a deep kiss, tasting himself on you as he drags the tip of his cock through your slippery folds.
He doesn’t tease for long though. Soon enough, he’s pushing himself into your tight cunt. You both let out a symphony of sinful noises. Leon watches as your face contorts with pleasure as he stretches you out. You both felt a budding sense of satisfaction after finally receiving what you craved for the last several months.
He bottoms out inside of you. His head falls forward against your neck. He pants as he holds himself together and lets you adjust, keeping an iron grip on your hips. Your fluttering around him as you accommodate his girth. Your nails lightly dig into his back while you cling to him.
He begins thrusting with slow and deep strokes. You moan out his name a few times with a variety of expletives. He keeps his face buried in your neck, grunting as he feels the velvety sensation of your walls around his length. His motions become more fluid as he finds a rhythm with you.
“That’s right Angel, better than your dreams?” he murmurs against your neck.
“Yes, fuck, yes,” you whimper, “So much better. Think your cock was made for me.”
“That so, Baby? I’m made to fill up a precious girl like you? Keep you happy and full of cum,” he growls into your neck, his thrusts gaining intensity.
You nod thoughtlessly as he continues battering your insides, gliding over your sweet spot repeatedly.Your arms wrap tighter around him as you feel yourself getting dragged closer and closer to the edge. Your noises become more strained as Leon lays sloppy kisses on the side of your head.
He hooks his arms underneath your knees and brings your thighs up to your abdomen again. His arm loops around and thumbs your clit as he slams himself in and out. Your back arches and you squirm from the rush of white hot pleasure. You’re right there, not able to hold on for much longer.
“I’m gonna have you so full of my cum today, it’s gonna be dripping out of you still the next time you’re here,” he grunts into your ear, “Make sure your pussy remembers me till I can fill her again.”
His vulgar words rip a high pitched moan from your throat and cause your eyes to roll back. “Fuck, Leon, I’m gonna cum,” you whimper.
“Go ahead, sweet girl. Squeeze me nice and tight,” he moans, his own voice getting strained.
You do as he says. The orgasm overtakes you. You release a strangled cry as your body rhythmically rolls into the feeling. Your pussy clamps around Leon tight, sucking him deep and keeping the attention on that blissful spot. The thrill of satisfaction rushing through your mind only works you further. Your eyes flutter and your lips part as you completely let go.
As he watches you cum, he notes that it might be the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. The sight of your gorgeous body writhing and trembling because of him. The primal sounds of your moans and cries. It’s too much for him. He growls and grunts into your neck, fingers digging into the flesh of your hips. He snaps even harder into you and floods you with his sticky, hot cum.
You both ride the waves of euphoria together until you both start coming down. He basically collapses on you as he catches his breath and you wipe the sweat from your brow. After a minute, he pushes himself off of you and flat on to the bed next to you. He gazes at the ceiling as his chest continues to rise and fall with the need for more oxygen.
You sit up slowly, realizing he probably wants you gone now. Like he said, you feel his cum leaking out of you as you move to grab your panties from the corner of his bed. This is how you expected it to be, but it still hurt a little. Nothing you couldn’t handle though. Your pulling them back on when your snapped out of your thoughts by Leon’s arm around your waist, dragging you to him.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he asks teasingly, spooning you and softly kissing beneath your ear, “You got what you wanted and now you’re running out?”
“Oh, uhhh… I thought you’d want me to leave,” you say quietly.
He guides your face so you’re looking at him. His eyes are still soft but more serious. “You think I would just fuck you and then throw you out on your ass? You’ve been sleeping in my bed for months, but you don’t know me as well as you think,” he says and kisses your nose, “You don’t have anywhere to be today, yeah? You thought you’d be here till later anyway.”
You nod in agreement, your eyes casting down with some embarrassment over your assumption.
“Hey, don’t get all shy on me now. There’s no reason for it,” he teases, “We have all day for me to show you how I want to take care of you. Just give me a moment, I’m not as young as I use to be.”

Jungkook hates loosing.
And that’s especially true when it comes to bets- because he also can’t really pass up any opportunity to show off and be the best at something. So when he took on the bet with Jimin, he didn’t think anything of it- after all, even if he lost, he could still simply teach that so-called ‘puppy’ Jimin was supposed to be working with a killer choreo and make his way on top either way.
What Jimin failed to tell him, however, was that you are an absolute menace.
Not only are you spoiled to high heavens and dressed head to toe in pretty designer pieces designed and tailored just for you, no- your attitude is making him want to throw himself into a busy road to be run over by any moving vehicle willing to do so. It’s been not even thirty minutes he’s spent in the meeting room, and he already regrets his big mouth with Jimin.
But maybe it’s just a bad first impression. Maybe, you’re just having a bad day.
“So, basically, we’ve got four weeks to make it work.” Your manager says, having finished his plan as he stands at the end of the table everyone is sitting at, you included- though you clearly do not listen to the conversations happening at all, instead occupied with a game on your switch console, decorated in plastic gemstones and cute stickers, sound not even all the way down as to not interrupt anyone.
Jungkook feels his blood boiling. Can’t you at least attempt to listen? After all, it’s your career that’s on the line.
“I’ll need the possible song choices she made, and I also gotta get a copy of the guidelines and what the judges generally look for. Doesn’t have to be today, but I’d like to have it before we start making anything up.” Jungkook offers, arms crossed. You’ve not even looked at him once today.
If he just went by looks, you’d actually be quite cute- you're clearly taking good care of yourself, and you fall right into the category of hybrid girl he’d see himself interested in- but your character seems to be the exact opposite, as you stare down at the small screen in your hands, lashes long, hiding your gaze a little from him.
“We can totally do that.” Your manager says. “I- uhm.. Are you okay with that too?” He asks towards you, and you simply take in a deep breath before you sigh, shoulders shrugging and head somewhat nodding. Your eyes however never break away from your game, instead, you just adjust your seating postition a little before you become completely detached from the situation again. “I’m sorry about that. She’s.. Having a bad day.” Your manager justifies.
Jungkook smells the lie right away.
“Practice will start at 7 AM then-” Jungkook starts, and that seems to catch your attention as your face turns into a frown. “-And we’ll practice the whole week, except weekends.”
“That’s too early.” You mumble, grumbling down at your game while your legs stretch out under the table, feet brushing against his shins. You’re not wearing shoes, only your knee-high socks, having discarded the slip on’s early on for no apparent reason other than comfort.
“She usually sleeps until.. 11 so..” Your manager starts, and Jungkook has to swallow a growl.
“8.” He says sternly, staring at you who scoffs down at your hands. “She’ll have to get up earlier then.” He decides, making you lift your chin a little, before you save your game, turn off the console and put it on the table, your arms now crossed as well as you finally, for the first time, look at him.
The fire in your eyes could seriously burn someone if it was to be manifested into a real flame, he decides.
“You’ll have to wait until I show up then.” You answer him, and his eyes narrow, feeling challenged. But before he can respond, your manager seems to sense the growing tension between you two, as he dissolves the meeting quickly to have you driven back home.
Jungkook however, can’t let go this easily.
“You forgot to tell me that she’s an absolute bitch.” Jungkook growls into his phone, sitting on his couch with the TV on but on mute. “There’s no way I’ll be working with her for four weeks without committing a crime.” He threatens, and Jimin has the audacity to laugh.
“Oh Jungkookie, don’t let her fool you!” He laughs. “She’s a literal angel, believe me. She just acts all tough.”
“Or she was just interested in you.” Jungkook denies. “I’ve spent barely an hour with her and I already know She’s gonna be a handful to manage.” He sighs.
“Come on now, she’s what? Half your size?” Jimin playfully exaggerates. “Just put her in timeout, big guy, and you’ll be fine.” He jokes, very much aware of Jungkook’s rather dominant nature due to his wolfblood. And while the joke is funny, it’s also a problem.
Jungkook doesn’t know if he can really stay calm while working with you. And his career could be over in a second if he so much as lashes out at you verbally- because no way would someone work with a hybrid choreograph or dancer who can’t keep his cool. He already has issues getting some gigs due to his wolfblood mixed in- one mistake and he can surely put his career to rest.
He really regrets taking on this bet now.
Hopefully this won’t end too badly.
♥━━━━━━━━━━•.♡.•━━━━━━━━━━━━♥
You really do not turn up at 8 like he told you to.
He’s impatiently waiting in the practice room, your manager and stylist and other staff already present- everyone trying to get a hold of you with no luck at all. It’s only until an hour later that another staff member informs everyone that you’ve finally woken up, and that you’re currently on your way to the practice room.
Jungkook is pissed, to say the least.
If you work like this the entire four weeks, there’s no way he can manage to push a good choreography into your head that you can pull off properly on stage. And if you fail, it’ll be on him- and he just can’t accept that. Hopefully, you’ll warm up to the idea of actually putting effort into this.
Hopefully.
When you finally turn up, you don’t appear to be sorry at all- still somewhat asleep and in no way ready to start practicing anytime soon. Instead, you sit down and take out your breakfast to eat, while your stylist runs a brush through your hair. But what’s odd about this, is more or less that Jungkook can sense a total shift in energy right now.
It’s like they’re shielding you, giving him no access to you until they deem the timing alright.
And you just robotically eat your little breakfast, while everyone else scatters around you, rushing from spot to spot. Jungkook isn’t too sure what exactly might be happening- but then again, it’s also not unusual to see such a scene. You’re a showhybrid after all- meant to look pretty at all times and in every living moment just in case there’s a camera around. And he knows that the practice is going to be filmed occasionally for some behind the scenes content for your fanbase- which is why you have your stylist around in the first place. You’re just supposed to look like you’re not wearing any makeup at all.
No one wants to see reality, because reality is what everyone can witness if they look in the mirror. And that’s boring. That’s not entertaining. That’s not something to be jealous of, or something to admire.
In a way, Jungkook starts to feel a bit sorry for you. Do you ever have a moment for yourself?
Either way, the moment the cameras start running, you switch character almost instantly. Suddenly you’re polite, soft spoken and determined to get every step right- though your true nature does poke it’s head through on occasion, especially when you can’t get something quite right the first or second try.
“Maybe we need to work on how to keep to the beat first.” Jungkook suggests, and at that, you seem to break, sighing with an agitated groan as your tail unravels, falling limp behind you. He’s not seen this happen often- his best friend Yoongi being a dog-hybrid with a curled tail as well, who can be quite grumpy most of the time. But even he never has his tail this.. Lifeless.
It’s unnerving to see.
“I’m not lobotomized, mutt.” You groan, making the manager motion to cut the cameras for a second. “I can keep to a beat, you’re just shit at teaching.” You growl to yourself, sitting down stubbornly as you visibly try and mask the fact that you’re out of breath.
Truth be told, Jungkook isn’t technically a choreographer. He usually works with professional dancers or simply follows whatever he’s given by an artist themselves- so yes, he might actually be a little rusty when it comes to teaching others.
Do you have to be so rude about it though? No.
“Well we’re going around in circles like this.” Jungkook shakes his head. “I’ll get us something to drink. Try and calm down a bit..” He attempts to soothe your temper, as he leaves the practice room- mostly so that he himself can escape the situation for a moment.
He’s not sure what it is. Maybe your scent full of anger and fear filling the space so much that it feels like it’s drowning him in the room, or the fact that you always have to be so rude-
Wait.
Fear?
Alarmed by that, Jungkook walks a bit faster with the water bottles in hand to get back into the room- just to find you not there anymore, everyone looking at him as if they’re surprised to see him back already. “Where is she?” Jungkook asks, and your manager blinks a little, caught off guard.
“She went to get something to drink.” He states, making Jungkook frown.
“I said I’m gonna get us some. Why did she go by herself?” Jungkook asks. “She doesn’t even know where the vending machines are.”
“She said you were taking too long.” A stylist mentions. Jungkook pinches the bridge of his nose.
“I was gone for not even five minutes?” He growls to himself, before he hears you enter the room again, a small juicebox in hand that you punch the tiny straw into. “Don’t just run off.” He scolds you.
You roll your eyes.
“Yeah alright, Daddy.” You scoff, walking past him to sit in a corner- actually facing it for some reason, your back turned towards everyone else.
“Ah, don’t be alarmed.” Your manager explains. “She.. Sometimes does this. We don’t know either why, and we don’t really question it either. Give her a few minutes and she’ll be right back to practice.” He beams at him, and Jungkook feels weirdly played.
Something’s odd here.
But it’s also none of his business.
♥━━━━━━━━━━•.♡.•━━━━━━━━━━━━♥
The next day, you’re not there on time again.
And despite the fact that Jungkook had told you no food in the practice room was allowed, you clearly disregarded that as nothing but background noise, while you take out your bag of foods in the middle of the large room.
“I said no food in the practice room.” Jungkook scolds, walking towards you to stand right in front of you, arms crossed. “and you’re also late again. Two hours to be exact.”
“You said no food.” You shrug, lifting up the small bag of puffed rice crisps. “That’s snacks.” You respond, making him narrow his eyes and clench his jaw.
“put it to the side.” He says. “You’re here to practice, not to eat.” He reminds you, able to talk freely with almost none of your staff around today.
“can’t practice on an empty stomach.” You respond however, letting yourself fall into your bag, before you take out your phone to scroll on it while you eat your snacks- crumbs already littering the floor. “Why’s your wifi so shit in here?” You mumble to yourself, when suddenly, the signal stops entirely. “Hey, your internet cut off-“ you start, before you spot him putting his phone down. “Turn it back on-“
“Since you’re acting like a brat, I’ll treat you like one.” He simply says. “wifi stays off until you practiced.” He scolds, boldly taking both your snacks and your phone from you to put it on a table close by, the act alone catching you so off guard that it has you frozen in place while you process it. “Do you want to get up yourself or do I need to help you with that as well?” He asks, and you glare at him.
“Touch me and I’ll sue you.” You threaten, and he watches you for a moment as if to see if you’re serious- before he decides you’re clearly not, with the way your tail slightly twitches, clearly needing to be consciously held down by yourself to not wag.
“Alright that’s it.” He simply tells you before he walks towards you, and much to his dismay, you let yourself fall limply down onto the ground as if you’re trying to become liquid. “You’re being ridiculous right now-“
“let me have the wifi again!” You just huff. “and my snacks. I’m hungry.” You argue.
“get up earlier tomorrow and have breakfast then.” He shakes his head, before he grabs your wrists to lift you into a sitting position. But the moment he lets go, you’ve flopped back down again, lips twitching.
Now your tail is wagging, clearly.
“so that’s what you’re after, huh?” Jungkook clicks his tongue. “too bad. I’m not playing your game.” He says, before he walks to the side where all his stuff is, changing his shoes.
“wait- What’re you doing?” You ask, watching him tie his sneakers.
“going home.” He answers without looking. “were clearly not getting anywhere.”
You sigh, groaning out lout before you angrily hit the floor-
Getting up to walk towards him, pulling his jacket from his hands before you let it fall onto the table. “I wanna practice.” You pout.
“What a bummer, princess.” He answers, taking his jacket back to slip it on. “I don’t. Now get your stuff, and then-“ He tells you, walking closer before he points to the door behind you. “-get out.” He demands.
And you just angrily huff at yourself, doing just that.
♥━━━━━━━━━━•.♡.•━━━━━━━━━━━━♥
You fail to get to practice on time again the day after.
And the day after that.
But on friday, Jungkook has finally had enough of your poor excuses and frankly stupid behavior.
"Why is she late this time?" Jungkook asks your staff, jaw clenched as he's already frustrated again. You're clearly not taking this seriously, and he honestly doesn't know how anyone else has ever managed to work with you in any way.
"We're.. not sure." Your manager says, face showing his own shame about your behavior. "She turned her phone off, we can't reach her."
That's it.
Jungkook can understand a lot of things. You're used to being spoiled and having everything set in front of you on a silver platter- he gets that. Sometimes, people's minds can be poisoned by wealth and success. But turning off your phone? That's too far.
What if something actually happened? What if you're sick, in need of help, in danger? This is absolutely ridiculous behaviour, and he does not care anymore. "She said she lives in the city here, right?" Jungkook asks, and the manager nods. "Alright, where exactly?" He wonders, and a stylist of yours calls out your address.
And that sets him off even further- because you barely live ten minutes away from him. Which means there's not even a single reason as to why you would be late at all.
"What are you going to do?" Your manager worries as Jungkook changes his shoes and slips on his jacket, grabbing the keys to his motorcycle.
"I'm getting her myself."
If there’s one thing Jungkook hates, then it’s people isolating themselves just for their own convenience. It’s mainly due to his best friend years back doing that constantly- turning off his phone to get some quiet time for himself, until he actually did end up being in trouble.
And when someone tried to call him, and couldn’t get a hold of him, they just thought ‘It’s probably one of those days again.’
If Jungkook didn’t go against his better judgement, if he didn’t end up checking up on him despite his mind telling him that it was for nothing, Yoongi would not be alive today.
He rings your doorbell multiple times, annoyingly so to get you to stand up at some point. There’s no way you can sleep through that, especially when he starts angrily knocking onto your door. Suddenly, you open it, staring at him with eyes barely open. “What.” You ask, and Jungkook takes a look at you for a second.
You’ve clearly been asleep, but you don’t look rested at all- eyes barely open as you glare at him, and funnily enough, one of your ears is even a bit floppy- not quite entirely down, but also no standing as straight as it usually does. “You’re late.” Jungkook scolds. You attempt to close the door again, making him attempt something dangerous.
He puts his hand in between the door.
But, maybe Jimin wasn’t so wrong after all, because you immediately open the door again, now wide awake as you look at his hand, worried you might’ve hurt him. Only when you don’t find anything you push his palm back towards him, and cross you arms.
“Come on.” He says, nodding towards the hallway behind him.
“No.” You deny.
“What do you mean, no?’ he asks, agitated.
“I said no. I don’t wanna.” You answer, walking back into your apartment- and with your door left open, he takes it as an invitation to walk inside.
The second he closes the door and turns around, he’s in shock.
Cardboard boxes, trash bags, crumpled papers and wrappings all over the place. Shoes litter the entrance area, your coats are thrown over the chairs at your open kitchen which sink is filled with unwashed dishes. The windows are shut, curtains heavy as they hide the mess in your home from the outside world. It’s so dark that Jungkook feels like if he wasn’t a hybrid, he most likely wouldn’t be able to see where he’s stepping at all.
How long have you been living like this?
The apartment isn’t big, there doesn’t seem to be many rooms at all. After searching for a bit he finds you curled up in your large bed, pink bedsheets and blankets halfway on the floor while your little gaming console chimes and beeps while you play.
“..come on now, you’ve.. got the weekend off.” Jungkook says. “it’s just today-“
“I said I don’t want to.” You growl, face focused on your game. “now fuck off and leave me.”
Jungkook sighs. This really isn’t any of his business.
But somehow, as he walks back into the main area of the small apartment, he finds himself opening a new trashbag to throw away all the plastic strewn around. He puts your shoes in order, places the garbage bags in a corner to have them out the way, before he rips the cardboard apart to throw away easier later. He’s not sure why he’s doing that- maybe partially to annoy you and get you to get out of bed, or maybe because he pities you.
This isn’t just laziness. From the way you act, to the body language you scream out quietly, to the fact that you don’t seem motivated for anything at all.
This is something deeper.
“What’re you doing?” You growl from a corner, before you walk closer to rip the cardboard box from his hands, throwing it in a corner again. “I told you to fuck off.” You threaten, and he nods.
“heard it loud and clear.” He agrees with crossed arms, and you huff.
“Ears seem to be working then.” You snap. “the mistake must be in your brain.”
“I can assure you it’s working just fine as well.” He answers, and you snarl at that, distinctive canines showing.
“Then why are you still here digging through my shit?!” You bark at him, and he shrugs.
“Because no one deserves to rot away like this.”
It’s quiet at that, for a good moment. The only sound heard is the clock in the kitchen ticking, some faint rain against the windows, and a garbage bag slowly slipping a little from its position. And when it falls to the floor, he catches a short second of your eyes tearing up, before you turn around, looking away from him before you run off into your bedroom-
But the door won’t close with all the clutter, making you angrily growl at it while you try and somewhat pull it close.
Jungkook slowly walks towards you, to pull your hands off of the door handle, making you drop down to the floor in defeat, sitting right on your clothes that are laying on the floor. “leave me alone.” You cry to yourself, head low and hybrid ears even lower as you sit there, kicking away some of the clutter.
The wolfdog hybrid slowly squats down to your level, before he carefully moves a broken jar away from your leg and onto a small table close by. “What’s going on with you?” He finally asks, and you kick your leg again at that, a small box flying through the room.
“I just want to be alone!” You bark. “I don’t want anyone in here, I don’t want to go to practice, I don’t want to do this stupid contest, I don’t want anyone to look at me!” You complain loudly, and Jungkook would easily call this a textbook temper tantrum, if it wasn’t for your clearly desperate tears.
“did you tell your management?” He asks, and you scoff, sniffling.
“as if they care!” You huff. “it’s always just do this, do that, go here, eat that, smile, be nice, film everything.!” You tell him. “I want to go home!” You begin to cry now, hiding your face in your hands.
“Home?” Jungkook wonders, unsure what you mean. Isn’t this your home?
“I just wanna go home..” you continue to cry into your hands. “I wanna go see mom, and dad..” you mumble muffled into your palms, and Jungkook feels terrible seeing you like this. He doesn’t know you, but something is clearly not right. This isn’t acting, because your body language, your scent- everything tells him that you’re in genuine distress.
“Maybe you can visit them?” He wonders, slowly reaching out to put his hand on your knee, offering silent comfort that you, for now, seem to accept. “do they live far away-“
“they won’t let me.” You say. “they told them.. they told them I don’t wanna see them and that I hate them, and now they hate me.” You whimper.
“They?” the wolfdog asks, pushing some clutter to the side to sit down as well.
“the company.” You mumble. “because.. my dad didn’t want me to move away back when.. when I was still a pup.” You say. A pup possibly meaning that you were still underage. “and.. back then, I thought it was for the best. This was such a one-in-a-million chance..” you reveal to him. “I thought it was worth it.”
“Do they threaten you?” Jungkook worries, and you’re quiet for a moment.
“..They’re all I have.” You admit. “my.. my apartment. My money. My name. They own me.” You say, defeat evident in your voice as you slowly calm down again, tension leaving your body. “just.. leave me alone.”
“I cant.” Jungkook denies with a sigh. “not anymore.”
“fuck off-“ you start, grabbing at his hand, but he somehow moves it around, holding yours now instead.
“I won’t.” He sternly says. “Alright? I don’t know how, but I’ll figure something out.” He promises, and you look up at him with slightly red eyes, confused.
“Figure out what?” You ask, and he smiles.
“How to bring you home.
♥━━━━━━━━━━•.♡.•━━━━━━━━━━━━♥
You’re very clearly not very happy about Jungkook currently cleaning your apartment with you.
You’re slow and sluggish, and you constantly complain about everything- and Jungkook can somewhat understand it. You’ve quite literally buried yourself in this little cave, having someone take it apart like this must be horribly uncomfortable. But it’s for the best- and you’ll soon realize that.
That doesn’t mean you don’t annoy him, still.
“Come on now, get up.” Jungkook scolds you, as he watches you sit on the couch.
“What?” You complain. “I’m cleaning.. under the coffee table.” You pretend, but he doesn’t take that as an appropriate answer.
“We agreed on one area at a time. We’re still in the kitchen.” He says. “now get over here and help me with the dishes. I wash, you dry.” He decides, making you somewhat reluctantly get up. It’s odd to have anyone in your apartment at all, since not even staff is allowed inside- you constantly find and make up excuses to keep them out at all times. This is your only safe space, after all.
The only place no one is looking at you.
“yesterday..” jungkook slowly says, putting another plate towards you so you can dry it. “..you said that the company owns you.” He remembers, and you nod. “To what degree?”
“I have an independence license.” You say. An independence license is basically a permanent permit to live on your own, and also work on your own. Basically, with it, you don’t need an owner at all. “But.. the company has full control over my finances and such. And they own my, you know, brand name.” You shrug.
“I meant it, you know?” He tells you, draining the sink of the soapy water. “I’ll try and figure something out.”
“Don’t bother.” You simply say. “it doesn’t matter.”
“It does.” Jungkook denies, drying his hands on a towel. But you stay silent as you put the dishes away in their proper places, not really sparing him any glance at all again.
Jungkook doesn’t really know yet how to help you. First, he wants to somehow get into contact with your parents and set things right again- maybe he can get their names and phone number from jimin who’s been working you for a good while now. And then, maybe they can help, too.
“I’m tired.” You complain as you sit down on the now finally somewhat clean floor, all the trash in bags and in a corner.
“You can take a nap.” Jungkook agrees, and you look at him with positive surprise.
“wait, really?!” You ask, tail wagging a little.
“sure. You’ve been working hard.” He approves. “and now that your couch isn’t cluttered, you can take a proper nap there.”
“Why not my bed?” You whine, disappointed.
“bed is for proper sleep. Couch is for naps.” He explains. “if you go to bed now you’ll just start rotting again.”
You stay quiet for a good moment, before you speak again, looking out the windows, curtains by now pulled open. Slowly, you walk over to the couch to sit down on, staring at your hands in your lap.
“I’m such a fuck up, am I not?” You sigh. “imagine if people knew how much of a failure I am.”
“You’re not a failure.” Jungkook denies, sitting down next to you on the couch. “just.. a bit lost at the moment.”
“Jungkook..” you say quietly, looking at his chest. “I really want to go home.” You admit, and he smiles softly.
“I know. And I’ll figure out a way, promise.” He offers, opening his arms. And much to his surprise, you take the invitation- even so much as to crawl onto his lap, leaning against his chest with your arms wrapped around him. It’s a lot more than he thought this was going to be, but he also can’t deny that this feels oddly comforting for him too.
And even though your tail is still limp and lifeless, at least you’re starting to open up. And maybe jimin was right after all.
Maybe you’re just acting tough.
♥━━━━━━━━━━•.♡.•━━━━━━━━━━━━♥
Jungkook quickly learns that you really must’ve left home at a very young age- because you’re very much completely lost in translation when it comes to general tasks that fall onto someone when they live alone.
You’ve got no idea how to properly do laundry, you don’t know how to cook at all, and you have no idea what cleaning products to use for what. When he asked you if you had some window cleaner, you’d stared at him for a good second before you asked him why he can’t just use soap- and cooking in your book is simply boiling water for instant noodles.
It’s no wonder your apartment was in the state it was in. No one ever taught you how to look after yourself and your own home.
“Alright?” Jungkook asks while you stare at the washing machine with a determined gaze.
“put the clothes in, put the soap-squishy-thing in, close the door and then set it to that program there.” You repeat. Jungkook nods.
“But-?” He presses, and you stare at him for a second, thinking.
“But...uh..” you try and find an answer. “no colored stuff with white clothes? And no black with colors?” You try, and he grins, tail wagging.
“Good girl. See? You’re not dumb, you just didn’t know.” He praises. “now press start and then we can go laze around a little until it’s done.” He says, making you happily press the start button.
Something that Jungkook has noticed, is that the entire apartment seems oddly.. sterile almost, in that it looks and feels taken straight out of a magazine. You’ve got no thing personal it seems like, no blankets that aren’t a neutral color, no toys, no plushies despite you telling him by now that you love these things. Instead, you only really have your little gaming console and that’s it- your bedroom is mostly taken over by designer clothes and shoes, as well as all sorts of accessories. The bathroom contains shelves full of skincare for face and body, but everything else appears to be not at all to be your personality.
“You can get yourself some new blankets for the couch now that we’ve cleaned up.” Jungkook mentions, but at that you simply begin to pout next to him, legs pulled close to you as you slide down a little, slouching.
“Nah, they’ll say no.” You huff, watching the TV commercial play.
So you really meant it when you said that the company has full control over your money. He believed it might just involve big spendings, which would make sense- but it looks like it more so involves every single purchase you make instead.
“How long is your contract?” He asks, and you shrug.
“I think forever.” You say, flopping to the side, legs hanging off to the floor. “I don’t know.”
“Thats.. not legal.” Jungkook frowns. “did you never renew it?”
“Huh?” Your ears tilt towards him for a second. He still wonders why one of your ears is floppy these days. “..no. I don’t think I ever did.”
“I.. how long have you been with them?” He asks, and you hold your hands in front of you to start counting. And the more fingers you seem to add, the more concerned he becomes.
“Well, I uh.. wait, I left when I was..” you mumble to yourself. “and now that I’m.. I think eleven years?” You answer, looking at him.
The maximum contract length for hybrids is five years.
Five.
“I.. okay, can you do me a favor?” He asks, and you nod, slowly sitting up. “next time you’re at your company’s HQ, try and get a hold of a copy of your contract. But don’t tell anyone what you need it for.” He says.
If he can get a copy of whatever slave contract you’re under, getting you out of it will be easy. There’s strict laws for hybrids in place after all- one can’t just work them like pets, there’s rules every company has to follow. And that is the same in your industry as well.
“am I gonna go to jail?” You ask, and Jungkook shakes his head.
“No no, you did nothing wrong.” He denies, reaching out to pet your head- pleasantly surprised when you visibly accept the gesture.
Because he speaks the truth. You did nothing wrong.
You were simply used from the start.
♥━━━━━━━━━━•.♡.•━━━━━━━━━━━━♥
On Monday, jungkook is standing at your door, 7 AM.
And you really, really do not want to go with him.
“Come on now-“ he urges again, pulling on your fluffy sweater while you cling to the doorframe of your apartment building entrance, having just seen what exactly Jungkook uses as his preferred means of transportation.
“No, you’re not getting me on that death-trap, no way in hell!” You complain, escaping his grasp just for a second before his arms are around your middle, easily removing your fingers from the door with a smile sent towards the security guard as reassurance, before he carries your struggling body towards his Harley. “No!” You complain. “This is kidnapping! Abduction!” You cry out, before he puts the helmet he’d gotten recently on your head, hands fastening the strap beneath your chin before he gets onto the motorcycle as well, sitting in front of you.
And the second it roars to life, you’re clinging to him with arms and legs involved, resulting in Jungkook adjusting your grip a little to not strangle him.
Well- at least he’s not driving fast.
“I hate you.” You complain when he removes the helmet again in the underground parking lot beneath the dance studio, pupils still blown wide, cheeks a bit flushed.
“If you just got up yourself like a big girl, I wouldn’t have to drive you.” He easily tells you, helping you down from the vehicle. “we’ll do this again and again until you learn.” He explains, stepping into the elevator with you- still lowly growling to yourself, pissed off at his attitude.
You’re not a kid. He’s stupid.
But it does work, because at least you somewhat practice with him for a few hours, before you stubbornly lay down starfish style in the middle of the practice room, demanding a break- one he grants for once, even if it’s just ten minutes.
“I really don’t wanna go to that contest.” You huff, half of your face squished against the shiny floorboards. Jungkook slowly walks towards you, squatting down to flick his finger against one of your ears that’s again, a little floppy today.
“I know.” He answers, because he does still remember your outburst, devastating cries edged into his mind.
“Hey Jungkook?” you ask, as he absent-mindedly rubs your ear between his fingers, almost enchanted by the softness of it.
“Yeah?” He answers, noticing the way you clearly enjoy such a simple touch to the fullest. You’re constantly surrounded by people, and yet it’s clear that you’re touch-starved and just treated like a doll and nothing else. How lonely must you have been until now?
“Do you have a girlfriend?” You ask. “or a boyfriend?” You wonder, leaning into his hand with closed eyes.
“No.” He answers, unsure and most of all suspicious.
“nice.” You smile, tail wagging softly. “I’m your girlfriend then.” You decide, and he freezes.
“...what?” He asks, sitting down now, a water bottle next to his crossed legs. “You can’t.. that’s not how it works.” He explains, but you shrug.
“My mom and my dad didn’t like each other either.” You reply, staring at nothing ahead, chin on your hands. “they just.. got together out of convenience. Cause they were the same hybrid breed, and I guess didn’t have anyone else at the time.” You mumble. “love isn’t real anyways. I’m pretty- isn’t that enough for you to like me?” You ask, turning your head to look at him with a gaze so.. detached that it makes him feel pity.
Is that your view on the world around you?
“You are pretty.” He responds. “but that’s not a foundation for.. a relationship.” He shakes his head.
“I don’t mind that you’re a mix.” You shrug. “you’re handsome, I’m pretty, and I have money.” You say. “if we get together thousands will flock to your dance studio. You’ll be super successful. “ You propose to him. “doesn’t even have to be for long. You can just.. I don’t know. Spend some time with me until you get bored, and then move on.”
“No.” He denies again. You frown.
“Huh.” You huff, slowly sitting up. “whatever then, I guess.”
“Do you even like me?” he asks you, confused, and you shrug before nodding.
“You’re nice. A bit stick-up-you-ass, but overall nice.” You offer.
Jungkook just watches you for a second, in full disbelief at what had been done to you. Raised in a place of luxury, with a golden spoon in your mouth and lies fed daily to create the view you have on everything around you right now. No kindness without some ulterior motive fits your reality. Everything has to be convenient for everyone involved.
“I don’t want a relationship without love, no matter what I might gain from it.” He explains himself, and you roll your eyes, before you flop onto your back, arms crossed again as you sulk. “You shouldn’t settle for less either.”
“Yeah well I wont get that.” You answer. “no one wants me. They want.. her.” You say, while twirling the silver name tag from around your neck in your fingers.
Until he leans over you, body entirely covering yours for a second, causing you to become nervous and wide eyed at his bold move. He’s looking at your neck, and you’re sure he must’ve realized what’s in it for him- after all, everyone is out for something to gain.
His hands move around your neck, fingers warm. You close your eyes as his face draws closer, awaiting the inevitable.
When suddenly, the collar around your neck is undone, and pulled off your neck.
“what-“ you ask, eyes open again as you watch him still above you, now looking into your eyes, and no longer anywhere else.
“I don’t want her.” He says, referring to the name on the tag around your neck that’s now in his hand, pushed into the floorboards where he holds himself up.
“But I’d like to get to know you instead.”

what do you think about the scene where snape mocks hermione over her teeth? i've seen people equate it to the trevor incident, which was clearly a defcon 1 moment, but to be quite honest, i'm not much bothered over either of them. honestly, i'm curious to hear about what you think abt snape as a teacher in general lol cause we all know that if it weren't for his need to atone he'd choose to fuck off into the sunset in a heartbeat
it's snape being a cunt. i don't think the impulse behind it is any more sophisticated than that. he's just a prick.
which is to say... i see a lot the take that snape is forced to be mean to his muggleborn and/or non-slytherin students in order to maintain his cover with voldemort and that it cuts him up inside to have to be such a knob.
and this is plainly absolute nonsense.
not least because the resurrected voldemort knows that snape's a member of the order of the phoenix [he just thinks that snape is spying on the order/dumbledore for him], which means the dark lord will hold the completely sensible view that snape should act like a fucking professional so that he doesn't get fired, thereby depriving the death eaters of a spy at hogwarts.
snape insults hermione:
a. because he's a dickhead b. because - with my apologies to snamione nation - he transparently doesn't like her c. because it gives him an opportunity to be mean to harry
sure, he's also under incredible pressure over the course of goblet of fire - aware as he is that voldemort's resurrection is imminent [which he must credibly believe is going to result in him being murdered] and that dumbledore is afraid there might be a spy at hogwarts - and having to deal with the combined forces of "moody" and karkaroff never letting him get a moment's peace would fray anyone's nerves. but this isn't him lashing out because it's all got too much and he's just snapped... it's him deliberately being a wanker.
which leads in neatly to the question of snape as a teacher.
because - of course - the answer is that he's a terrible one, because you can't speak to your pupils the way he does [even if - it should be noted - his classroom behaviour really isn't far out of the hogwarts norm; mcgonagall is pretty fucking horrible to neville too...] and expect to be considered good.
but, while he's a complete flop at the pastoral side of the job, he's clearly incredibly competent at the intellectual side of it. he manages to maintain a full owl pass rate year-on-year, his students are described by umbridge as being "advanced" for their age-group, and he can fill his newt classes while insisting on the highest possible owl pass mark. he also clearly enjoys his subject, and his interest in adapting and correcting potion recipes and textbooks is a pretty solid indication that he must quite like the curriculum-design aspect of teaching.
indeed, my extraordinarily unpopular opinion is that, if he survives the war, he stays at hogwarts. and not just because it means he doesn't have to confront what might be waiting for him outside with both dumbledore and voldemort dead...

I would like to say I've slowed down a bit on BATFAMILY fic over the last month, but that's kind of a lie because fandom has put out some absolute banger longer fics and I've been reading a lot of comics (can you believe how many comics I've been enjoying?? I have never felt so spoiled for choice!), so I still feel like I'm inhaling everything as fast as I can go and it's GREAT. It's a constant stream of crying about fictional characters in canon, crying about fictional characters in sad fic scenarios, crying about fictional characters in happy fic scenarios, and crying about fictional characters because other people care about our babies, too. Also, I have decided I no longer have a Dick Grayson Problem that you must all suffer through to get some variety in the recs, but instead I have a Dick Grayson Solution. You're all welcome. But I'll mix it up a bit just for you guys, so hopefully you find something fun to read no matter your fave and have a good time, because this fandom has been knocking it out of the park with the fic that has given me a good time, READ AND CRY WITH ME, OKAY. BATFAM FIC RECS - BABY DICK IS THE CUTEST FERAL ROBIN I'M NOT HEARING ANY ARGUMENTS: ✦ Grounded by WingFeathers, dick & bruce & clark & wally & ma kent & pa kent & background clark/bruce & cast, 60.4k In the early days of the Justice League, Bruce is out more and more frequently on League missions, and Dick (age 13) is growing more and more restless and lonely stuck at home. His friends can't know he's Robin, and there are no superheroes Dick's age--or so he thinks, until Bruce receives a call from Barry, desperately seeking mentorship advice. Dick asks to meet the Flash's new sidekick, but Bruce refuses; a fight ensues, ending in Dick getting grounded. One week in Gotham off patrol, and then two weeks alone, far from Gotham... at a little family farm in Smallville, Kansas. And hey, if a certain Midwestern speedster sidekick just so happens to turn up, that'd be just fine. Or would it?
✦ trust in serum by deargalileo, dick & bruce & alfred & clark, 15.7k "I believe the serum is a mixture of chemicals that compels the target to be completely honest, even against their own will." "You got hit with a truth serum?" Bruce winced as Dick's voice reached a high pitch. "Really?!" "Yes, really."
✦ Storge by CKBookish, dick & bruce & alfred, 5.4k “Your dad must have his hands full with you.” Elizabeth Ribbons leaned forward and patted Dick’s shoulder, as he reached for yet another slice of cheesecake from a passing waiter’s tray. Bruce fixed his eyes on the ice sculpture that hid him from view. It suddenly seemed like the most interesting design in the world. The soft lines of the ice on the otherwise insignificant over sized swan seemed like a lead shield... Because Dick would read it easily in his expression. He wanted to be Dick’s dad. But he wasn’t.
✦ Robin Wings by JeanjacketCarf, dick & clark & bruce & cast, 3.4k Clark wakes in a panic, unsure what has jarred him from his sleep. Until he notices Robin's absence from Batman's side.
✦ Hey! He Attempted a Coup! by PandasandDucks13, dick & bruce & clark & justice league & cast, 6.8k wip What if Dick Grayson was a Kryptonian?
✦ grief mosaic by newsical, dick & bruce & alfred & leslie, 1.3k Grief paints Dick’s days in muted shades of red and yellow and green. He grows to expect sleepless nights and sweat-drenched sheets. In turn, he finds late night companions in Alfred, with his old movies and stories, and Bruce, who wears the colors of his own grief to prevent its spread to others. Dr. Thompkins writes a letter to Bruce diagnosing Dick with PTSD.
✦ before this ends by emavee, dick & bruce, 2.5k Mr. Wayne would definitely be angry if he knew what Dick was planning, but it’s not as if Dick is going to be here long anyway. Might as well take the opportunity to fly one last time, while he still has the chance.
✦ A Light at the End of the Tunnel by dizarys, dick & bruce & alfred, 1.6k Maybe the parenting and grieving books he skimmed the highlights from last week–and Alfred–were right. Why else would Dick have approached their newest case with such ferocity and determination? At first, Bruce chalked it up to empathy. Seeing another child crying after his parents were murdered was something Batman and Robin could relate to.
✦ Last Night of Sadness by gothamshero (emhyr), dick & bruce & slade & william cobb, 6.1k Dick Grayson has to take liberties when he’s a civilian, but he still knows when he’s being followed.
✦ Starlings in Winter by FromStarstuff, dick & bruce & clark & cast, 18k wip When Dick was eleven years old he ran away from Gotham. No one could quite figure out why. Take your pick; there was a fight at school, a circus in town, and a song he can’t remember the melody of. Eleven-year-old Dick Grayson was flooded with grief, swimming in it, perpetually drowning. One day it was too much.
✦ What Defines A Father by Browniesarethebest, dick & bruce & justice league & cast, 7.7k wip Batman hasn't known the newly formed Justice League long enough to trust them, but he's willing to put everything on the line when the one thing he cares for most is taken somewhere he can't easily follow.
✦ Stolen Son by springfox (dallystrings), dick & bruce & cast, 8.6k Bruce’s heartbeat sped up, but he leveled his breathing to remain clear headed. After another thirty seconds he abandoned the cart and walked briskly through the store, searching every row in a growing panic. “Dick?” he called, “Dick, can you hear me? Where are you, chum?”
BATFAM FIC RECS - ADULT BATSON AND BATDAD ARE MY KRYPTONITE, I FOLD LIKE WET CARDBOARD FOR THEM: ✦ Learning Experience by strikeyourcolors, dick & bruce, 2.3k "Does it ever get easier?" Dick asks. Bruce isn't technically old enough to be his father biologically, but those deep blue eyes are looking at him as a child beseeching a parent. "Some nights I feel like I can't do this anymore, Bruce. I can't be Nightwing."
✦ Rainbow Puppies by zombiesbecrazy, dick & bruce, 2.4k Bruce really wanted to hate Pamela Isley right now, but all that he could focus on was how much he admired the way she passionately fought for her beliefs and how he could applaud her application of her educational background into practical endeavors to her cause, however misguided. Being hit with one of Ivy's toxins has Bruce babbling like a fool.
✦ the business of the very few by dustorange, dick & bruce, 4.2k “I was trying,” Bruce says, “to respect your privacy.”
✦ notches in the door frame by dizarys, dick & bruce, 2.1k Bruce hadn't been prepared for his days or nights to feel so empty. And he wasn't sure how to interact with the young man before him now. Because Robin didn't need Batman anymore. --- A patrol gone wrong forces Bruce and Dick to finally talk about Robin becoming Nightwing and feelings they'd been avoiding.
✦ No Comfort in the Shade by mx_chrx99, dick & bruce, 3.4k Dick Grayson is having a hard time and Bruce is there to help.
✦ The Long Distance by takadainmate, dick & bruce, 1.2k Down here they're not Batman and Nightwing. They’re Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson. But they still fight.
BATFAM FIC RECS - EVERYBODY LOVES DICK: ✦ tender will fall by dizarys, dick & bruce & donna & jason & cast, 3.5k When the Titans are devastated in an attack, they go to Batman in a last ditch effort to rescue one of their own.
✦ the hardest part by emavee, dick & bruce & jason & tim & damian & cass, no powers au, 5.8k Dick is dreading his eighteenth birthday and everything that it means for him as a foster kid. His time with his family is running out, and he needs to be prepared for what comes next, to be on his own again.
✦ 5 Times Dick Grayson Was Grateful for His Insomnia + 1 Time He Wasn't by avengemyheart, dick & bruce & jason & tim & damian & alfred & wally, 5.7k Dick can't sleep, but that's a good thing. He finds himself helping the people he cares about late at night throughout the years. Eventually though, everyone realizes just how intense his insomnia can get. Or: A 5 +1 thing about Dick's insomnia.
✦ A Darker Shade of Gotham by JackHawksmoor, dick & bruce & tim & alfred, 8.3k wip Dick and Tim are stuck in a crappy alternate universe where most of the heroes they know are dead, Bruce Wayne's bad health meant he never became Batman, and Tony Zucco runs Gotham City's underworld. When Dick is shot by the mob, they take a risk and go to Bruce for help. Alternate Bruce didn't have children, but as he gets to know Dick and Tim, he starts wishing he did.
✦ leave as though fire burns under your feet by perissologist, dick & bruce & jason & tim & damian & cast, read the tags, 33k That glow is gone, now. Gone from Dick’s skin, gone from inside him. It used to shine out of him, out of all the cracks the world put in him. But now Bruce looks down at him, and he is as dark and cold as a snuffed star. That’s what gets to him the most—not how cold the morgue is under its colorless fluorescent lighting, or the cloying smell of formaldehyde that clogs his throat. It’s how still Dick is, on the cold, sterile surface of the examiner’s table. It’s unnatural. The boy never learned how to sit still.
✦ papers say it's doomsday by dottie_dc (dottie_wan_kenobi), dick & bruce & donna & cast, 2.5k Half-laughing at his own joke, Nightwing starts to say, “He just doesn’t—” In the space of one word, one breath, and the next—the world ends.
✦ Ibn al Xu'ffasch by hellsreluctantheir, dick & bruce & damian & jason & cast, 16.2k Batman when they’d thought Bruce was dead was one kettle of fish. Batman when the original Batman was around was another. In his head, Robin—perched on a gargoyle next to him—tutted like an eighty-year-old, and rolled his eyes like the kid he was.
BATFAM FIC RECS - BATKIDS ALL HAVE MANY SIBLINGS AND THEY'RE ALL PETTY ASSHOLES AND/OR WONDERFUL BABIES AND I LOVE THEM WITH MY WHOLE BEING: ✦ our aspirations are wrapped up in books by theragingstorm, damian & barbara & cast, 1.8k Damian's been confined to bed rest. Someone unexpected helps him.
✦ remind me why I'm here again? by dizarys, bruce & dick & jason & tim & damian & cass & bernard(/tim), 3.5k Jason's at a Wayne gala. He doesn't want to be. Good thing his siblings are there too. "Were we mean?" Dick mused, "Or just being big brothers?" "He's holding your hoodie hostage." "You're right. We went too easy on him."
✦ put away childish things by bittlebarnes (monroesherlock), dick & damian & clark & jon & barbara & ma kent, 7.2k "I was sent here as a punishment, surely," Damian deadpans. "Are you feeling punished?" Martha sounds like she’s laughing at him. Unacceptable. "Absolutely."
✦ a hero by hellsreluctantheir, bruce & dick & jason, 15.5k Dick Grayson died in Amusement Mile. Four years later, Jason Todd is Robin. But he's not dressed in the costume when he hears about a new player in Crime Alley; a man in a red helmet.
✦ Improvise A Symphony by cabezas_de_vaca, bruce & dick & alfred & cast, 5.5k Or: three generations of Wayne and Wayne-adjucacent men do their absolute best.
✦ The Second Stage by nightwalker, tim & jason & bruce & dick & damian, 8.2k All Tim wants is to take a shower, get something to eat, and try to wear off the effects of Ivy's stupid pollen in peace. So of course tonight is the night Jason decides to start acting like a brother.
BATFAM FIC RECS - I CUT MY TEETH ON DICK & TIM AS CLOSE BROTHERS AND NO ONE WILL NOT TAKE IT FROM ME: ✦ Red Letter Day by silverwhittlingknife, dick & tim & damian & cast, 41.8k wip Dick Grayson, stressed pseudo-parent to a preteen assassin, tries to solve the case of Damian’s Mysterious Wednesday. He never expected it to help him fix his relationship with Tim, too. (... Though only after everything fell apart first.)
✦ I know it's just a number but you're the eighth wonder by orphan_account, dick & tim, 1.2k Dick gets sick. Set before their lives implode on them, so Dick’s Nightwing and Tim’s still an itty bitty Robin.
✦ it's been a long time now (i'm with you) by centreoftheselights, dick & tim, 1.8k Tim has been noticing some strange things about his life. He isn't the only one.
✦ Little Do You Know by sardonic_sprite, dick & tim & ra's, 2.2k "So," Tim said quietly. "You're here to break me out I guess." "Yes," came out in a choked sob. "Then you're wasting your time."
✦ pain/release by unchosenone, dick & tim, 4k Dick goes to check on a wayward brother in the middle of yet another Gotham Toxin (TM), and Tim has a bad time.
✦ I'd Fly Far Away From Here by Sohotthateveryonedied, dick & tim & jack, 3.5k Tim stacks his fries onto his burger patty in a crosshatch, covering every spare inch in a layer of salty potato and grease. “It all happened kind of fast. Dad and I got into this huge fight, and it’s not very dignified to go back upstairs for my wallet and then storm out.” Dick is quiet while he eats his sandwich, trying to figure this out. “Dick?” “I’m just—trying to think if I should call Bruce first or your dad.”
✦ A Collective End to a Harmony by 061828, dick & tim, 1.2k A drop of water falls into an ocean, a house’s wooden skeleton has its last nail screwed into place, an old book’s first page finally crumbles off, and Tim Drake turns twenty years old.
✦ young numb and broken by wingedgrace, dick & tim & cast, read the tags, 1.1k His bare feet were covered in cold, damp sand, and he could barely feel them. Well, he could feel them, but they didn’t seem to be connected to his body. Or maybe it was him that wasn’t connected to his body. (or: poor Dick Grayson needs some love and a chance to catch his breath.)
✦ there's an endless road to rediscover by Zahri, dick & tim & cast, 1.2k Sometimes the only way to show that you've moved on and forgiven each other is to take a flying tackle from the ceiling. Dick and Tim know each other's demonstrations of affection. Damian doesn't.
✦ spread your wings by wingedgrace, dick & tim & cast, 2.1k “Why did you give Robin to Damian?” Dick pinched his nose. He’d started to pick up some of Batman’s habits, whether he realized it or not. “Tim, we’re not talking about this again. We’re talking about how you’re off on this… quest, to prove that Bruce is still alive. And I just want to talk. Come home.” Tim didn’t budge. “Why did you give Robin to Damian?”
BATFAM FIC RECS - DICK/BABS FOREVER AND YOU CAN SHUT IT IF YOU DISAGREE, THEY'RE ADORABLE TOGETHER: ✦ Taking Turns by mx_chrx99, dick/babs, 2.3k Tim had practically begged Dick to get a flu shot. He probably should've listened.
✦ The Summer of Her Discontent by dotfic, dick/babs, 7.8k Batgirl contends with her feelings after Dick leaves Gotham.
✦ Thirteen Hours by dotfic, dick/babs, 7.9k Set during "Knight Time," during their trip to Romania, Dick and Babs start healing some old wounds.
✦ The Night the Lights Went out in Gotham by dotfic, dick/babs & bruce & tim & jim & cast, 13.8k "When it comes to emotions, even great heroes can be idiotic."-from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
✦ Regular People by zombiesbecrazy, dick/babs, 1.6k All sorts of people can enjoy a good sunrise over the city after a long night. Why should heroes of Gotham be any different?
✦ strawberry milkshakes by brandywine421, dick/babs & bruce, 2.8k Why is Bruce bringing Dick? It's not an emergency alert, or medical - just an alert. She should have put in her comm - if it was a simple pit stop they had safehouses, but - Batman dangles Dick's keys in her direction at the door but she's glad he didn't come through the window. She looks past him to catch Dick's attention and - something's wrong.
BATFAM FIC RECS - I WILL DIE ON THE HILL THAT TIM DRAKE'S TRUE LOVE INTEREST IS CONNER KENT AND NOBODY CAN STOP ME, NOT EVEN GOD: ✦ Stay for breakfast and also forever by Ididloveyou_once, tim/kon & bruce, 2k Conner turns up in the middle of the night after a mission gone wrong. Tim learns that seeing Conner cry makes him feel like his heart has been torn out of his chest.
✦ Think Cupid, But Aim Lower by NevernightUnderRainbows, tim/kon & bruce & cassie & bart, 2.3k Or, the Batfamily will make sure Tim gets his guy, even if it entails a lot of beating around the bush, dropping hints so veiled that they can be misconstrued surprisingly easily, and basically giving the bird and his clone boy a headache in the process
✦ The Once and Future Bat by LilliputianDuckling, tim/kon & some kon/cassie & dick & roy & martha & anita & cast, 16k Tim realizes it was a mistake to clone Conner when he ends up with a baby on his hands at sixteen years old. Well, Jackie's his now. Where does he go from here?
✦ there you were by mindshelter, tim/kon & cassie & bart & martha, 19.5k wip “You know, the cool thing about me,” Tim says, voice gone quiet and petal-soft, “is that even when I didn’t care whether I lived or not, I was pretty goddamn hard to kill.” Kon sighs, eyes glued to his feet. His hand is still encircled around Tim’s arm, trailing up to the bend of his elbow.
✦ time flies by by Laroyena, tim/kon & clark & jon & lex, 6.5k Jon Kent is Superboy. Tim's gut instinct tells him that's wrong. (Timkon fix-it where reboot!Tim misses Kon like a phantom limb. And then he gets him back.)
✦ Tangled by thewhitestag, tim/kon, NSFW, 4.1k Kon doesn’t want to be that person, always waiting, wondering if the next time will be more than just two friends messing around.
✦ you put your arms around me and i'm home by merils, tim/kon, 4.5k Kon's acting a little odd after a close call. Tim ponders the potential causes.
BATFAM FIC RECS - TAKE THE ANGST DIAL, TURN IT UP TO ELEVEN, AND BREAK THE KNOB OFF, THAT'S WHAT I'M HERE FOR: ✦ Bereft by glassofwater, dick & bruce & cast, 4.7k Laying on his back, shoulder brushing up against debris, Dick closes his eyes briefly. He doesn’t want to die, has no intention to do so tonight, but he is scared. The blood on his side pumps out of him with each thump of his heart, beating at a rate too fast for Dick to properly count. That shouldn’t be right, he shouldn’t even be awake and struggling at the moment, but the luck that hangs over Gotham is a mysterious one; it doesn’t favor anyone and yet…
✦ fun and games by prismatical, bruce & dick & jason & tim & barbara & stephanie & duke & cast, 78.6k The Joker's loose, and the Batman isn't in Gotham. The family struggles to hold itself together as everything else spins out of control.
✦ Bone Weary by TheSilencer, bruce & dick & jason & tim & damian & cass & steph & duke, 8.1k "You cannot reach out until you reach in." Dick assumed the words were metaphorical. They weren't. Or Dick Grayson is cursed, and the cure is not any better.
✦ What These Hands Have Done by WinterSky101, bruce & dick & jason & tim & damian & cass & steph & alfred & cast, 14k Dick is mind controlled into attacking his family. Unsurprisingly, he takes the whole thing very badly.
✦ All The Small Things by Geeves, dick & bruce & damian & cast, 20.1k After Bruce's return to the Bat, Dick and Damian have to deal with just being brothers, but things are just a bit too messy to be that easy
✦ All Our Broken Parts by mx_chrx99, bruce & dick & jason & dick/babs & cast, 28.1k wip Jason will not let this happen again. He can't. But what if he's already too late?

red thread of fate
han yujin + reader. word count 1,3k. warnings none. not proofread
your way to school was interrupted by a strange and unfamiliar sensation on your finger, feeling as if it was trapped in your clothes threads, your gaze went down searching for what was supposedly stuck in your hand, a situation that felt so ordinary ended up being the discovery of your designated other, there was the renowned red string, tied to your finger in an announcement of your soulmate’s proximity. you could even feel how it pulled you to the direction of its origin. should you follow this mystic appearance? who are you trying to fool? the question did not get the opportunity to formulate in your mind when you were already running towards this mysterious person waiting on the other side of the thread.
a few streets from your school another institution could be found, it wasn't near but either far away, probably a twenty-minute walk on foot, it was kind of an unknown place to you because it was on the opposite side of your school and home, there was no need to go there but now you can find yourself rushing towards it, scurrying away through the alleys following the path of your soulmate, a variety of different emotions flew through your body being accompanied by all sort of queries, questioning gender, looks, age, personality, and a lot more that couldn't be answered by you right now. halfway your nerves became stronger and the anxiety started to seize your mind and body, the route felt endless even if just a few minutes passed, the fear of your soulmate going far away and causing the beautiful crimson thread to disappear seeped through your bones while your footsteps became faster, a few voices could be heard near the end of the passage indicating the starting of a new street, your eyes followed in a rush the string which opposite to how it felt when it appeared, tensioned and ensnared to you, now felt loose-fitting, logically indicating that your future companion was near… right?
by looking up and trying to go after the red line your mission ended up concluding because the person tied to you in this lifetime was standing right in front of you, with a surprised face and open mouth glancing at you, a cute boy wearing a high school uniform similar to the one you use, his eyes captivated you in some way you couldn't explain, clearly, it was fate, his agitated breathing also called your attention, was he searching for you too?
“i tried a new way to school today” dropped without any context, “going through the alleys so i could have a calmer walk without my classmates…” it felt like he was trying to explain something, but his calm tone and ‘lazy’ (to put it in some way) way of speaking made it confusing.
your index finger was placed under your lip, posing on your chin while thinking, maybe it could help you think faster! “ooh… we have never been so close before, you taking a route closer to mine ended up manifesting the red thread” your words were more a way of explaining to yourself the most recent events than an answer.
his answer was a simple nod, his face had some sort of awkward smile on it while his hands nervously brushed against each other, his weird attitude was found cute by you, who now admired his expression with a playful smile.
“can i walk with you to your school? we can start to meet each other and exchange numbers!” your cheerful tone made yujin chuckle.
“i should be the one asking you that” mumbled shyly, his hand reached to his head and scratched it a little bit. his response won a good laugh on your side.
“don't be shy! we have a lot of first steps you can take in this new path as soulmates'' your sweet comment caused him to be more ashamed than before, your easygoing personality facilitated you to take the reins of the conversation making him feel as if you knew him for a long time, is this how soulmates feel? a long chat with hanbin is what he needed to understand such strong emotions, it felt inexplicable, stupid even! Breathing in, the young boy tried to gain at least a bit of courage to look at you in the eyes.
“okay, i will walk you to school and… pick you up and walk you to your house too” his chest inflated with a mix of air and bravery, the shy smile that was decorating his face maintained now with less effort and more feeling involved.
“don't you think that's too much?” your comment smashed hard to the floor the bit of confidence he built up, obviously that wasn't your intention, it was just a funny and innocent mention and luckily for you, the boy could see through that.
“it is?...” asked, cheeks adorned by a kind of pinkish tone.
“maybe… but i know what we can do, you walk me to school today and i will walk you tomorrow” this suggestion may seem like something silly to other people, but please, get in the place of the two teenagers who were not only experiencing their first love but also discovering their soulmate, their life comrade, the person they will grow old with! the life-changing occasion most of the populace in this world have the opportunity to go through, people from every corner of the globe wait anxiously for the moment they can find their other half, fate dictates it is your moment now and your young mind will choose how to manage it. “and give me your phone number! do you have any socials? i have instagram and twitter, and i also have snapchat but i never use it, oh and-”
your verbal vomit was interrupted by the quiet boy with such a simple question that surprisingly hadn't crossed your mind since the start of the interaction, “what's your name?”
it startled you, how could you forget to ask something so important? he must think you're an idiot! what a shame, everything was going so well… i guess. “i want to know yours first” your petition came as a playful one, not letting your mistake stop your mood from being at its peak.
“yujin, h-han yujin” his words stumbled upon themselves, he thought the nerves reached out to him again due to the reappearing of a strange sensation on his chest and tummy, but it didn't feel the same, his heart was palpitating powerfully and driving all those sensations to his stomach who felt like a thousand bunnies were hopping nonstop.
yes, he couldn't understand it now and that's okay, no one can manage to comprehend something as difficult and enigmatic as human emotions at a young age, especially in the teenage years that usually turn out to be the most confusing period for us, but there is going to be a moment in the future when all of those sensations will have a name and a reason, discovering that is work of the “now”, and if there is a feeling yujin can detect very well is the excitement he feels to see what future departures him and what destiny (as perplex as it can be) brings him with your arrival. also, thinking about how gyuvin’s face will twist after telling him he has found his soulmate before him was a funny thing to imagine, meaning he's also waiting for that more-near future to happen, the idea of talking to you about it also felt nice and could help to break the ice in future encounters!
hereafter seemed promising for the blossoming young couple, who even after an unusual beginning were excited to see how fate reunited two destined souls in this universe.

Hiii can I request the tieflings (zevlor, dammon and rolan) with a significant other who likes to get spanked and is generally into bdsm?
You absolutely can request some BDSM headcanons! I love getting to write a bit of spice for these guys, hope you all enjoy too :)
TW: NSFW under cut, impact play, orgasm denial, overstimulation, bondage, mentions of degradation
The bachelors with a partner that likes BDSM
Dammon
So, we all know by now that Dammon is absolutely no stranger to kinks like BDSM
However, I do think you might have to be the one to float the idea with him first, he's a bit worried about scaring you off
Once you bring it up though, you've unleashed a beast
Out of the three, Dammon is the one most into bondage
He's more than happy to use ropes or silk to tie you to his bedposts, or to tie you up in shibari style bondage
This man is good with his hands, he'd do so many pretty and decorative designs so he can admire them while fucking you
"So pretty, all for me."
In regards to impact play, he's more than ready to spank you
I feel like he'd enjoy swatting at your ass in passing, it's one of the ways you know he's a bit pent up
And in terms of other impact play, let's just say you guys don't need whips or canes when he's already got his tail-
Dammon would also definitely be into a little roleplay
You pretending to be a customer that's a bit short on change, but it's okay because there's something else Dammon will take as payment
Zevlor
Zevlor is the one that needs the most reassurance, he's initially scared that he'll hurt you (despite that being kind of the point)
Ease him into BDSM and soon you'll have reawakened a kink he forgot he had
I feel like he'd really enjoy some temperature play, hot wax in particular
Having you lying down on your stomach as he watches the way you shift and moan with every bit of wax that's dripped onto you
Wax play works him up so much he can't help but grind against you as he drips it down your skin
Zevlor can absolutely be convinced to spank you too
Once he gets comfortable with the idea he'd definitely bend you over his knee and give you exactly what you want
Over time he regains a lot of his confidence and it shows with every strike against your ass
Zevlor will use his tail to hold you still or pull you back into position if you squirm too much, a low murmur leaving him telling you to "be good and stay still"
Call him Commander in bed
It's the easiest way to have him fuck you into the mattress, he'll go near feral as soon as you break out his former title
Rolan
Quite honestly jumps at the chance to experiment with you
You'll find very soon that his preference for bending you over also gives him ample opportunity to spank you
He takes the chance every time too, he's not satisfied until he knows you'll have trouble sitting the next day
If you're okay with it Rolan will be the most likely to bring degradation into his dirty talk
We all know he's good with words, he walks the line between praise and degradation very well, and he loves reducing you to a mess with only words and hands
Please roleplay as a bratty student/apprentice
Rolan is more than happy to put you in your place right there in his office, with you bent over his desk
Also the type to deny you your orgasm until you beg him enough
Once you do beg, well, he's going to let you cum... and then make you do it again and again until you beg to stop
"Now now darling, you were just begging me for this, be good and take it."
Just wait until Rolan does all of these in the same session and makes you feel like you've just seen god

breaking the mold
Genre/Tropes: Mutual Pining if you squint very hard.
Summary: Vil has always been cast as the villain. With a new writer working with his club, he learns that not every director will see him that way.
Author's Comments: I wrote something similar to this for another character that was normally portrayed as a villain (2p!America cough cough) so it was kinda funny writing something like this again but I really enjoyed it!! Also, in Epel's SSR vignettes this club apparently doesn't have auditions? Vil just picks someone and is like "you're good" so I put Reader in that same role.
~~~~~
“For our next play, I’ve opted to let our newest member write it. They’ve proven themselves efficient at directing the stage crew and have shown me various samples of their writing.” Vil announced, locking eyes with you from in front of the small crowd of club members, “Come to the front, director!”
Murmurs swept through the crowd as you jumped up, rushing towards his side with a huge smile on your face. Vil looked upon your smiling face with pride, confident that he’d made the right choice. It only made you more motivated to please him.
“A new member? Writing for us?” someone muttered from the group, “That’s unheard of.”
“You must push boundaries to progress.” Vil responded, “I’ve made my choice. I only hope the rest of you are willing to give them a chance.”
“I won’t let you down!” you proclaimed, standing even straighter in hopes that the club would accept you.
“Let’s try it out. What’s the worst that could happen?” someone else said, “Besides, Vil will still be overseeing everything, Nothing will go wrong!”
Another murmur swept through the crowd as people started to nod. Vil turned to you with a small nod, and you knew exactly what he was trying to say.
They don’t believe you can do it by yourself. Prove them wrong.
👑
The next day, Vil walked into the small room the club had set aside for you. The table was cluttered with papers and pencils, and in the middle of it was you, writing down one last note before you looked up at him and beamed.
“So, how’s the cast list coming along?” he asked, trying to make sense of the messy writing scrawled over the papers nearest to him.
“I’m so glad you asked! I’m planning on casting you as the main character, of course.” you hummed, pouring over the script on the table, “I want to start off my first play with a bang, but you’re also the safest option because of your experience.”
Vil watched you work, scribbling down notes for the plot and little details you wanted added to the set. The passion and personalization you were giving to this production was admirable. Vil often had to remind his fellow club members to do exactly what you were doing when directing productions and designing sets. All of the actors and crew should be represented in their own special ways when on stage.
“Just so you know, I refuse to play a villain role. If you opted to play me in that role, perish the thought. I refuse.” he declared, pulling out the chair opposite of you and sitting down.
He was prepared for a barrage of complaints and reassurance. He was prepared for ‘but you’d do so well!’ and ‘it’s a great opportunity!’ and ‘what do you mean? Do it for the play!’ His agent’s voice echoed in his ears as he waited for your response, and he shook her away.
“Don’t worry, you’re not the villain. Not every hero is warm and soft, you know?” you laughed, shaking your head, “Heroes can be cool and tough too. If I wanted to write something with a wimpy hero I wouldn’t be casting you in the first place.”
You passed him the list of characters from across the table, pointing to the bright HERO title with stars doodled around it. His name was written in your all too familiar handwriting, a little smile stretching across the bottom of his name that used the two i’s as eyes.
“If this is your verdict, I’ll respect it.” he nodded, passing back to list.
“Oh, but you wouldn’t have if you were the villain?’ you snorted playfully, “I’m just kidding. I’m not here to write something cliche and stupid. I’m here to explore a side to heroes that the productions we’ve seen so far don’t want us to see.”
“Elaborate.” he said, lacing his fingers together on top of the table.
“All of the productions I’ve seen in Twisted Wonderland portray heroes as happy and soft and sweet. But heroes need to be smart and strong and resilient, you know? I don’t understand why people think those attributes are more villain-like. It’s like they want their heroes to be joyful and handsome instead of genuinely strong.” you met his gaze and beamed, “Not that you aren’t handsome. Obviously. You know how good looking you are.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere.” Vil rolled his eyes, gesturing for you to continue.
“Right, right. I’ll keep talking, Your Highness.” you snickered, scribbling a few more notes down on the character page, “I actually cast Rook as the villain this time around. I’m sure he’d be thrilled to share the stage with you. Also, doesn’t he have that dramatic villain vibe about him? I figured he’d be able to play the tyrannical king role pretty well.”
“You’re definitely right about that.” Vil nodded, lifting up the set design from your pile of papers, “Is there a particular reason why you chose the mirror to be here, in the corner?”
“Ooooh, I’m so glad you asked!” you nearly leapt across the table to look at the diagram with him, your hand resting on his arm for support, “You see, the tyrannical king ends up trapped in the mirror at the end of the play. I wanted to pay homage to the Evil Queen and her magic mirror while also giving the impression that the king’s punishment is a result of finally being cornered. He spends so much of the play in the middle of the stage, but once the hero and his allies find him he gets backed into that corner with no escape! He’s hidden away from the audience’s view and then the lights go out and boom! He’s trapped in the mirror for all eternity!”
“It’s very hard to come up with an original story, so I don’t blame you for referencing the Evil Queen.” Vil hummed thoughtfully, “However, are you sure the mirror design is your best work? If it’s truly a symbol to pay homage to the Evil Queen, will the audience get that message from this design?”
He handed the design back to you, watching as you poured over it. Your pursed lips slowly lifted into a smile as you jolted back into your chair, scribbling away at the paper once again.
“I got it now! This next one will be the one that knocks your socks off!” you proclaimed, waggling your pencil at him.
“I look forward to it.” he chuckled, leaning over to pat your head before leaving the room with a swish of his cloak.
You shot up in your chair, brushing a hand over where he had touched your hair. He really did know exactly how to motivate people, didn’t he?
👑
“Why did you cast Vil as the hero?” Epel asked, tilting his head as he read through the cast list.
“He’d be a lovely hero. That’s why.” you replied, waiting for the rest of the cast and crew to read over the list.
“That’s…an odd choice.” someone else piped up, “I mean, Vil is more suited to be a villain, you know?”
The group mumbled in agreement, nodding their heads. You furrowed your brow, holding back the twinge of annoyance in your chest.
“Do you want to have a play with a hero that’s soft and gentle? Or do you want a hero that’s tough and reliable? Do you want someone who only focuses on the princess, or a hero that rallies people together? Do you want a hero that nobody cares much about because they’re so vapid and uninteresting, or do you want a hero that everyone will remember because he’s the one that sent chills down their spine?!” you narrowed your eyes as the club listened, allowing you to explain yourself, “Vil is perfect for a hero role. It’s a disgrace that nobody has cast him in that role before.”
The room was silent for a moment before Epel sighed, shrugging his shoulders.
“If that’s what our director thinks, then I agree. They’re pretty convincing too, when they want to be.”
“Thank you, Epel.” your gaze softened as you relaxed, making sure to make eye contact with as many people as you could, “I’m willing to hear your input on this, but I’m not going to put Vil in a role that I think would be ill-suited for him.”
“I think Rook as the villain is a good casting choice.” Someone offered, “We’ve never seen him in a role like that before, but seeing you make that decision has made me curious.”
“Yeah! I know he’s in the science club, but there’s no way he’d pass up a chance to perform with Vil.” you nodded enthusiastically.
“He has no qualms about getting people not in his club to participate.” Epel mumbled, “I miss Spelldrive practice for one of his plays once…if I missed the play he would’ve killed me.”
“You were our main role, Epel. Our leading star. The play would have been ruined if you didn’t show up.” Vil replied, stepping into the room with grandeur.
“Housewarden!” Epel yelped, “How long were you there?”
“Don’t yell. I’ve been here the whole time.” his eyes flickered to yours, gratitude in his eyes, “I heard your discussion about the roles. I’m glad we’re all in agreement.”
“I’ll run them by Rook later.” you shot up out of your seat, gathering your papers quickly, “I still have to finalize that mirror design, and then I’ll show you that too. Let me know what you think!”
“Wait.” he placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, eyes only for you as everyone else filed out, “I want you to stay back for a moment.”
“Hmm? What for?” you asked.
“I want to talk to you. That’s all. Do I need a reason?” he replied, a challenge clear in his tone.
“Of course not, handsome.” you laughed, sitting back down, “What did you want to talk about?”
“I wanted to show you my gratitude.” he began, sitting in the chair beside you, “You have been the only person that has bothered to take my thoughts into consideration. It’s such a simple thing, but since you are the first to show me such thoughtfulness, I feel the need to let you know the impression you’ve made on me.”
“It’s no big deal at all! I just did what I thought would fit you best.” you stumbled over your words, face warming at the praise.
Since when did Vil praise you for silly things like that?!
Amused by your reaction, he laughed. How was one man so pretty? His hair fell into his eyes before he brushed it away, meeting your gaze again. You swallowed thickly, nerves twisting in your stomach.
“I trust you will do your best.” he said, hands clasped in his lap, “I believe in you.”
With that said, he left, leaving your mouth hanging open in shock.
If Vil Schoenheit wanted you to focus, he’d need to stop praising you like that.
👑
The day of the play was fast approaching as you watched over the rehearsals. The costumes had come together a while ago and the set had been built completely. The paint crew was still touching up on little details of the castle and mirror, each golden swirl and apple motif painted with extra care. Some of the club members that had worked on the set even picked up a paintbrush for the production. It warmed your heart to see everyone try so hard for the sake of you and your production. Even Epel came in to work hard when he didn’t have Spelldrive practice, his painted apples shining more radiantly than anyone else’s. Before you knew it, the show was being performed for any NRC students that wanted to attend. You extended personal invitations to all of your friends, making sure Malleus in particular had the date memorized so he could see your vision come to life. Cater had spammed his Magicam feed with promotional posters for the show, and Vil had also done some advertising to a lesser extent. The nerves were starting to settle in as you watched the people file into the theater, the low rumbling of conversation making your stomach do flips. Pacing around, you took deep breaths as your heart pounded. Today was the day of your debut as a director for Vil Schoenheit and the entire Film research Club. You only hoped you could do him and the rest of his club justice.
“You’re up.” Vil said from behind you, resting a hand on your shoulder, “I know you’re nervous, but you’re ready for this. I would not let you walk out on that stage if I didn’t think you were one hundred percent ready.”
“Thank you, Vil.” you smiled, hands shaking as they took the mic from the nearby stand, “I’ll…I’ll go break a leg out there.”
His eyes shone with affection as he offered you a smile, gently pushing you into the bright lights of the stage.
You blinked as your eyes adjusted to the new lighting, a chorus of cheers and whoops erupting from the crowd. Your stomach twisted itself into an even bigger knot as the darkened blurs wriggled and twitched with movement, but you reminded yourself of Vil’s words and breathed deeply.
“Thank you all for coming out tonight!” you said, putting the biggest smile you could on your face.
The sentiment was met with another round of applause and a loud yell of “THAT'S MY BEST FRIEND,” which you could only assume came from Ace.
“Thank you, thank you! Um…” you clutched the microphone tightly as the applause died down, taking in another deep breath, “This is my first time producing a play with the film research club. Being a director has been hectic, but it has also been very rewarding. As you all know, I got to work with the amazing Vil Schoenheit on this project-”
An even bigger applause erupted from the crowd at the mention of his name, to which you responded by looking backstage for him. He was standing just behind the curtain, a smile on his face as he listened.
“I know, I adore him too. He spent hours and hours with me, pushing me to do my best on set design and costumes and storytelling. He wanted me to make this play personal, and because of that, there are bits of him in the story, too.” you stopped to take a breath, the audience silent as you continued, “Thank you all for coming out tonight to support the work we do. Without further ado, I present to you, Poison’s Heir!”
The audience burst into applause again as you rushed off stage, waving to everyone that had come to watch your show.
“You did so well.” Vil whispered as the lights dimmed, “Now go take a breather. I’ll handle the rest.”
“Break a leg.” you whispered back, beaming at him.
👑
The second the auditorium doors were opened after everyone had taken their final bow, you were jumped on by Ace, Deuce, and Grim. A strangled yelp escaped your throat as you begged them to let you go, but they refused.
“You never told me you wrote in your spare time!” Ace yelled, pointing an accusatory finger at you, “I can’t believe you wrote something like that and didn’t tell us! What is wrong with you?!”
“It was really good, Prefect.” Deuce said, looking at you with stars in his eyes, “I’m so impressed, it must have taken so much work to build everything.”
“That’s why you kept sneaking off! That’s why you had all those late nights! Why didn’t you tell me?!” Grim grabbed your leg and shook it vigorously.
“I wanted it to be a surprise!” you yelped, shaking them off, “I’m surprised you guys even came!”
“Of course we did! You always come to my basketball games and I know you go to Deuce’s track meets too! Don’t act like it’s a burden for us to show up!” Ace crossed his arms over his chest and glared, pouting like a child.
“Hello, Child of Man.” Malleus interrupted, appearing behind you unexpectedly, “That was a lovely production.”
“Hornton!” you jumped, placing a hand over your heart, “You scared me! Don’t just teleport behind people like that!”
“But I didn’t.” he mumbled, a confused look on his face, “I just walked up to you.”
“Ah. My bad. I was occupied.” you sighed, smiling at him, “I’m glad you liked it!”
“I brought you this.” he hummed, presenting you with a bundle of orange roses, “I was told by Lilia that directors and cast members of plays often receive flowers after a play as a show of appreciation. He stressed that I should not give them to you before the play, since I would be bestowing bad luck upon you.”
“Dude, we so got one upped!” Ace quipped, but you ignored him.
“Aww, thank you so much.” you gasped, gratefully accepting the flowers from his arms, “They’re beautiful. I’ll be sure to treasure them for as long as they live.”
“Don’t worry, Child of Man. I’ve enchanted them so that they will not die.” he smirked, “You don't even have to water them. Those flowers will remain stationary, halted in time, just like the memory of your first production in my mind.”
You almost cried with how moved you were, but settled for giving him a huge hug. He returned it, holding your gently before he gave you a final smile and moved on.
The next person to throw themselves on you was none other than Cater.
“Hon!” Cater screeched, throwing his arms around you dramatically, “Oh, that was a gorgeous production! I wish I could have recorded it!”
“Thank you so much!” you laughed, wrapping your free arm around him to hug him back.
“Would you mind taking a picture with me? I’d absolutely love a photo of the director themself!” he begged, hands itching to grab his phone and take as many pictures as possible.
“Of course you can.” you pulled away, putting on another one of your director smiles.
Cater whipped out his phone and took a bunch of quick pictures, trying out a few different angles. You felt your crowd pleasing smile grow into a genuine one as your face warmed, feeling all the love all of your friends were sending to you.
“You don’t mind if I post these to Magicam, right?” he asked.
“You ask every time Cater. My answer is always no. I don’t mind at all!” you laughed, thankful he’d go through the effort of checking every time.
“I just want to be sure! I’ll send you the ones I want to post just so you can go through them.” he said, pulling you in for one last hug, “Great job, hon. I’m so proud of you.”
The crowds slowly died down as time went on, and the club was finally allowed the step back into the auditorium. That’s where you found Vil, standing by the doorway in his costume.
“I was waiting for you.” he said, hooking his arm through yours and pulling you away from the group, “Come with me.”
You allowed him to lead you outside into the cool night air. He sat down on a nearby bench and gestured for you to do the same.
“So how many flowers did you get?” you asked, still clutching the orange roses to your chest.
“I received many flowers from adoring fans.” he said matter of factly, “But that’s not what I wanted to talk about.”
“What is it?” you asked, scooting closer.
“Magicam. The production is blowing up.” he murmured, unlocking his phone and pulling up his Magicam feed.
You watched as he scrolled through post after post of happy, celebratory photos, all tagged with #Poison’sHeir. Your heart warmed at the display and the fact that Vil had taken the time to show it to you.
“I dare say your first show was a success. I’m looking forward to the next one you direct.” he chuckled, expression soft and caring, “I’d love to work with you again.”
Pride welled up in your chest at his words, the knowledge that this would not be your last show and that you’d impressed him enough to earn his praise forcing a wobbly smile to bloom across your face.
“Wait…Vil, is that Neige?” you gasped, the laughter catching in your throat as the moment was shattered.
His nose wrinkled in displeasure as he rapidly scrolled away from the post.
“Don’t pay attention to him-”
“Noooo, Vil! I wanted to see his post!”
“Stop trying to take my phone-!”
[What if we just hadn't said goodbye?]
Some design notes below the cut
-both of their expressions are meant to represent the way they felt about the outcome of ep 24. shinji has his eyes on kaworu with an expression of hurt and betrayal meanwhile kaworu is at peace with his decision, eyes closed and unable to see how shinji may feel now
-i know the pilots are never seen wielding weapons themselves in the show and that evas haven't been shown using a sword at any point either however i kind of live for the fact that swords held blade down look like crosses. i couldn't help myself with that one it was too good an opportunity to pass
-hard to tell bc I couldn't put much effort into them but the flowers making up kaworu's bouquet are blue roses, often recognised as a symbol for secret or unattainable love
-whether the way kaworu holds a bouquet makes him look like a bride ready to walk down the aisle or a corpse laying in their casket. well. ill leave the choice up to you
-i also wanted the items they're holding to parallel one another. shinji holds a red sword dripping with blue blood meanwhile kaworu holds blue roses ever so slightly stained by fresh blood. shinji is the only one holding a weapon because he's the only one causing physical harm in the end, and kaworu doesn't have any because he's given up on fighting for his life
#micas art#nge#neon genesis evangelion#kaworu nagisa#shinji ikari#kawoshin#guess who binged nge in the span of a few days and lost their mind over it. im only 29 years late to the party lmao#anyways i developed an unhealthy attachment to these two so even though im in the midst of art fight+cramming for two diff ship weeks#i needed to doodle something quick at least to get them out of my head for a bit#lets play a fun game now called 'how much symbolism can i squeeze into a singular art piece'!! the answer is: a lot#i might revisit this later and redraw it with more care but thats the best ive got for now o7#also i almost forgot but#nge spoilers#< just in case
The Masquerade.
fictober masterlist || ask me anything <3
authors note - this was actually one of my favourite concepts to write, i'm not sure why but i think it was because of all the angst that it's filled with...
word count - 10.5k (sheesh…)
in which, your friend drags you along to a high school reunion halloween party, which you one hundred percent do not feel in the mood to attend, but his nagging doesn't hold off, so being the good friend you are, you give into his nagging. a shocking revelation occurs when your ex walks through the door who you as well as everyone else didn’t expect to turn up leading to a confrontation that's nothing but emotional.
trope: exboyfriend!harry
Teaching ten-year-old girls football has been your lifelong dream, a passion that ignited when you were just a child yourself. You remember the sheer joy and exhilaration the sport brought you, until that fateful day when you got tackled and broke your leg at the age of nineteen. That incident left you with an indelible fear of playing again, but it couldn't extinguish your love for the game. So, you decided to channel your passion into a different path - you pursued a degree in football coaching.
Now, as you stand on the field, overseeing a group of eager young girls, you can't help but smile. You see a reflection of your younger self in their bright eyes, full of curiosity and excitement. The thrill of imparting your knowledge and nurturing their love for the sport is immeasurable.
You've learned from your own experience that winning isn't everything. It's about fostering a love for the game and helping these girls develop both as players and as individuals. When they win, your heart swells with pride, knowing you've played a part in their success. But when they face defeat, you're not too harsh on them. Instead, you use those moments as opportunities for growth.
Your training sessions are carefully designed to balance skill-building with fun. You know that at this age, it's essential to keep them engaged and enthusiastic. So, you blend drills and exercises with playful activities that make learning enjoyable. You've seen firsthand how this approach helps the girls not only improve their football skills but also develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
As you watch them practice and play, you often reminisce about your own playing days, feeling a pang of nostalgia mixed with pride. Despite your personal setback, you've found a way to stay connected to the sport you love and make a meaningful impact on these young athletes' lives. It's not just about winning or losing; it's about nurturing their passion, teaching them resilience, and giving them the tools to succeed both on and off the field.
You're living your dream, not as a player but as a coach, and the smiles on those girls' faces when they score a goal or make a brilliant pass make every moment, every training session, and every challenge worth it.
As the final whistle blows, you gather the girls into a huddle at the centre of the field, the bright sunlight casting a warm glow around your circle. You can see a mixture of emotions on their faces, some tired but determined, others a bit disappointed, but all eager to hear your thoughts.
You begin with a smile, looking at each of them with pride.
"Alright, team, gather around!" you say, your voice filled with encouragement. "I want you to know how proud I am of each and every one of you out there today. You showed great spirit and determination, and that's what counts."
One of the girls, Sarah, raises her hand eagerly. "Coach, I scored my first goal today! I was so excited!"
You beam at her. "That's fantastic, Sarah! Your goal was brilliant. You showed excellent positioning and a great sense of timing. Keep it up!"
Mia chimes in, "Coach, I made some good passes, didn't I?"
You nod appreciatively. "Absolutely, Mia. Your passes were spot on. You demonstrated great vision on the field, and that's a crucial skill."
As you continue, you make sure to acknowledge the efforts of each player, whether it was a solid defensive play, a remarkable save by the goalkeeper, or simply the teamwork they displayed throughout the game. You want them all to feel valued and recognized for their contributions.
"Team," you say, "remember, winning is great, but it's not the only measure of success. We learn and grow from every game, whether we win or lose. Today, we saw incredible teamwork, and that's something we can always build on."
Sophie, one of the quieter girls, raises her hand tentatively. "Coach, what can we improve on?"
You smile at her eagerness to learn. "Sophie, that's an excellent question. We can work on our passing accuracy and defensive positioning. But remember, it's all part of the journey. We're here to improve together."
The huddle breaks with a round of applause for their efforts, and the girls leave the field with their heads held high.
You finish up with the girls' soccer practice, feeling a sense of fulfilment from a productive day on the field. However, you're also aware of the impending challenge of getting home, thanks to your recent leg injury. You remember that your best friend, Jamie, had promised you a ride, and that brings a sigh of relief.
You spot Jamie leaning against his car, a friendly grin on his face as he watches you approaching. His presence is like a beacon of support. As you get closer, you can't contain your excitement and rush over to him, throwing your arms around him in a bone-crushing hug.
"Jamie!" you exclaim, your voice filled with genuine joy. "It's so good to see you! How was your holiday?"
Jamie returns the hug with enthusiasm, his voice laced with excitement. "Oh, it was amazing! You wouldn't believe the places I got to explore and the food I got to try. But honestly, I've missed you so much!"
You step back from the hug, both of you wearing wide smiles. "I missed you too, buddy. And thanks a million for coming to pick me up. You're a lifesaver."
Jamie chuckles, giving you a playful nudge. "No problem at all, mate. That's what best friends are for, right? Let's get you home comfortably."
As you both hop into the car, the conversation flows effortlessly. You catch up on the latest news, sharing stories and laughter like you always do. The car ride feels like a warm reunion, and you can't help but be grateful for having such a dependable and caring friend like Jamie.
As the car ride continues, Jamie glances over at you with curiosity. "So, what are your plans for tonight?"
You lean back in the comfortable car seat, enjoying the familiarity of the conversation.
"Well," you start, "first things first, I need to head home and have a quick shower. I've been running around with the girls all afternoon, and I must be a bit of a mess."
Jamie chuckles, understanding the need for a post-practice refresh. "Sounds like a plan. And then?"
You smile, thinking about your precious daughter. "After the shower, it's time to drop Lilah off at her dad's place. She's with my sister right now."
Jamie nods, his eyes reflecting empathy. "How's she doing these days?"
You sigh, a mix of emotions flooding over you. "She's growing up so fast, Jamie. Four years old already, and she's as curious and energetic as ever. It's a bit tough juggling everything, but it's all worth it for her."
Delilah Rae (Y/L/N)-Cooper.
When you were twenty five, to celebrate the new year you had gone out with Jamie, his boyfriend as well as your sister, the four of you had gone up London to see the fireworks at the Thames.
That was where you met Levi Cooper.
The two of you spent the night together after both of you had a bit too much to drink at the club, you kept catching each other's eyes from across the rooms, his blue coloured eyes locking onto yours and the rest was history.
The two of you did keep in touch after your impromptu meeting, well you suppose you had to seeing as you were having his baby. The one night you spent together had given the two of you an eighteen year commitment.
He was shocked at first that you were pregnant, but he was nothing but supportive, every prenatal class he was by your side, every scan he was sat at the side of the bed and when your waters broke and you gave birth to a beautiful baby girl he sobbed.
The two of you did try to date, but it just seemed that the two of you were just better at being friends.
He was engaged now to a lovely women named Eloise.
Jamie gives you a supportive pat on the shoulder. "You're an amazing parent, you know that, right?"
You blush a little at the compliment. "Thanks, J. I'm just trying to do my best for her."
As the car ride with Jamie continues, he leans over with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Hey, guess what? The high school reunion is tonight!"
You immediately shake your head with a firm resolve. "No way, Jamie. I'm not going to that."
Jamie raises an eyebrow, feigning surprise. "Oh, come on! It could be a blast. We haven't seen some of those folks in ages!"
You let out a sigh, knowing that Jamie won't easily accept your refusal. "Jamie, there's really no reason for me to go. I've moved on from all that high school drama."
He grins, persistent in his efforts. "But it's a chance to catch up, see where everyone ended up, share stories..."
You shoot him a knowing look. "Jamie, we've got Facebook for that. Besides, I'm perfectly content with my life now."
Jamie continues to plead, "Think of the nostalgia, the old memories..."
You chuckle, shaking your head again. "Nostalgia isn't enough to make me want to relive those awkward teenage years, Jamie."
He's not giving up easily, leaning closer and trying a different approach. "What if I promise to be your wingman all night?"
You raise an eyebrow in mock disbelief. "And what, introduce me to every person there as 'the one who didn't want to come'?"
You arrive home with Jamie, your key poised to open the door. You're eager to see your precious daughter, Delilah, who's been anxiously waiting for your return after her day with your sister. The door swings open, and before you can even step inside, you hear the pattering of little feet.
"Mommy!" Delilah exclaims, her face lighting up with pure joy as she runs straight into your open arms.
You scoop her up, her tiny arms wrapping tightly around your neck, and you pepper her face with a thousand kisses. "Oh, my sweet Lilah-bug, I missed you so much!"
Delilah giggles, her laughter filling the room. "I missed you too, Mommy!"
Jamie watches the heartwarming reunion with a smile, his eyes filled with warmth and happiness.
"Hey, Delilah," he says, crouching down to her level. "I missed you too."
Delilah looks at Jamie with curiosity, her innocent eyes studying him for a moment before breaking into a shy smile. "Hi, JJ!”
As you enjoy the family reunion with Delilah and Jamie, your sister Abigail walks into the room with a warm smile. "Hey, how was your day?"
You return her smile. "It was good, Abi. The footy practice went well, and now I'm just happy to be home."
Abigail looks at Jamie with a playful grin. "And what about you, Jamie? How have you been?"
Jamie chuckles, leaning back in his chair. "Well, it was a lot of travelling, but it's all worth it to spend time with these two."
You nods in agreement, then turns you attention to Delilah. "So, sweetheart, what did you and Auntie Abigail do today?"
Delilah's eyes light up with excitement. "We played in the park, and Auntie Abigail pushed me on the swings really high! It was so much fun!"
Abigail laughs, ruffling Delilah's hair affectionately. "That's right, we had a blast at the park. And afterward, we baked some delicious cookies, didn't we?"
Delilah nods vigorously. "Yep! I helped mix the dough, and we even had chocolate chips in them!"
You all gather in the cosy living room, Delilah on your lap, her blonde curly hair tickling your fingers as you brush through it. Abigail breaks the comfortable silence with a practical question, "So, what time does Lilah need to be at Levi's?"
You glance at your watch and reply, "Half past six should be good."
Jamie, ever the talkative one, chimes in enthusiastically, "Perfect! That works because the reunion starts at seven!"
Abigail's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. " reunion? What are you talking about?"
You roll your eyes playfully at Jamie, thinking he's just teasing. "He's talking rubbish, as usual."
But Jamie jumps in again, this time with a more serious tone. "No, seriously, there's a school reunion tonight."
Abigail looks genuinely surprised. "A school reunion? Why wasn't I informed?"
You sigh, not thrilled with the idea. "Honestly, I'd rather just sit at home and relax."
Abigail, ever the one to push you out of your comfort zone, raises an eyebrow. "Come on, it might be fun! You need a good night out."
You let out a reluctant sigh, knowing your sister's right. "Alright, fine, we'll think about it."
Abigail's eyes twinkle mischievously. "Who knows, you might even rekindle something with a certain someone."
You give her a knowing look, realising exactly who she's referring to. "Abigail, we broke up in high school. It's been ages."
Jamie joins in with a laugh. "You never know, sparks might fly."
In the midst of the bustling high school hallway, you stand at your locker, neatly organising your books for the next class. The sound of lockers slamming and laughter fills the air, creating a lively atmosphere.
Suddenly, you feel two warm arms wrap around your waist from behind, and the familiar scent of Harry Styles' aftershave instantly captures your senses.
With a playful giggle, you turn your head to the side, your eyes meeting his.
"Well, hello there, Mr. Styles," you tease, a hint of a smile playing on your lips.
Harry's emerald green eyes twinkle mischievously as he leans in closer. "Couldn't resist sneaking up on you, m’darlin’. Y’look t’cute sorting y’books."
You blush at the compliment, playfully batting your eyelashes. "Flattery will get you everywhere, you know."
Harry's lips brush against your earlobe as he whispers, "Everywhere, y’say? might have t’take advantage ‘f’that."
You can't help but laugh, your heart swelling with affection for the charming boy who has stolen your heart. "Harry Styles, you're incorrigible."
He grins, leaning in to press a gentle kiss on your cheek. "Only when it comes to you, babe."
Harry stood in his cosy kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air as he watched the snow gently fall outside the window. It had been a while since he'd seen Ellis, his best mate from high school, and he was glad for the company on this chilly day.
They had grabbed coffee together in the morning, before deciding to have a little walk around the twin they both grew up in.
Ellis sipped her own coffee and leaned against the kitchen counter, looking thoughtful. "you remember the school reunion is tonight, right? What time is it starting?"
Harry stirred his coffee, a pensive expression on his face. "Ye’, m’remember. S’supposed t’be at seven, but m’not sure if m’gonna go."
Ellis raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Not going? Why not?"
Harry sighed, his gaze distant as he remembered the old days. "I don't know, El. S’been ages since I've seen those people. M’not sure I'll fit in anymore."
Ellis chuckled, taking another sip of her coffee. "Mate, you're Harry Styles. You could fit in anywhere."
Harry gave a small smile but still seemed uncertain. "S’not about fitting in, really. S’just... v’moved on from that time in m’life, y’know?"
Ellis nodded in understanding. "I get it, Haz. But it could be fun to catch up, see how everyone's doing."
Harry considered his friend's words. "Yeah, maybe. We'll see."
As the snow continued to fall outside, Harry contemplated the idea of attending the high school reunion. It was a chance to reconnect with old friends and revisit memories, but he couldn't help but wonder if he'd truly find his place in a world that had changed so much since those school days.
You sit in your cozy bedroom, the soft glow of natural light filtering in through the curtains, as you prepare to apply your makeup. Your vanity mirror reflects your anticipation, and you're ready to transform your look for the day.
With a steady hand, you pick up your favorite foundation and begin to blend it evenly across your skin, creating a flawless canvas. As you work, you can't help but appreciate the therapeutic rhythm of the makeup application process.
Next, your eyes catch the eyeshadow palette you've chosen for today's look. With precision, you carefully sweep the hues across your eyelids, creating a captivating blend of colors that complements your style.
You reach for your mascara, preparing to enhance your lashes, making your eyes pop and adding a touch of allure to your gaze. Each stroke brings you one step closer to the final result you envision.
A hint of blush adds a healthy flush to your cheeks, while a sweep of your favorite lipstick completes your look. You can't help but smile as you admire the transformation you've achieved, feeling confident and ready to take on the day.
Your boyfriend at the time, is lounging on your bed, wearing nothing but his boxers. It's one of those mornings after he stayed over, and you're getting ready for school, sitting at your vanity and applying makeup.
As you focus on your makeup routine, you can't help but hear Harry huffing behind you. You ignore it at first, thinking it's just one of his playful quirks. But when he huffs again, you can't help but turn and ask, "What's your issue, Harry?"
He shifts on the bed, looking earnestly at you. "Y’don't need makeup, y’know. Y’already beautiful."
You smile, appreciating his sentiment. "Thanks, baby. But makeup just makes me feel better about myself."
He's not willing to let it go, and he comes up behind you, draping his arms over your shoulders and leaning down so both of you are in view of the vanity mirror. "Seriously, y’don't need it. Y’stunning without it."
You meet his gaze in the mirror, his green eyes filled with genuine affection.
He takes a makeup wipe from your vanity, turning your chair around so that you're facing him. With a slow, deliberate motion, he starts wiping away the makeup from your face. His touch is gentle, and his eyes never leave yours.
As the last traces of makeup disappear, he smiles softly. "See, there y’are, just as beautiful as I knew y’be."
You can't help but laugh, appreciating his effort to make you feel special.
He presses a loving kiss to your forehead, his arms still wrapped around you. "And that's why I love you."
Just as you're finishing up, your daughter, with her unruly curls and a cheeky smile that reminds you so much of her father, rushes into the room. She stands at your side, her eyes wide with curiosity.
You scoop her up and place her on your lap, where she traces the outline of your lipstick with her tiny finger before gently tracing the eyeliner around your eyes.
With a tilt of her head, Delilah grins mischievously. "Mummy, you don't need makeup."
Her words strike a chord deep within you, reminding you of a time long ago when a certain someone had said the same thing. A sense of déjà vu washes over you, and you can't help but smile at the memory.
You ask her, "Why do you say that, sweetheart?"
Delilah looks up at you with those big, innocent eyes. "Because you're beautiful."
As Delilah kisses your nose, you can't help but smile at her sweet gesture.
Levi, her father, may not be present at this moment, but you're grateful for the strong co-parenting relationship you have, which allows Delilah to feel loved and secure.
However, as Delilah's innocent words about your beauty echo in your mind, you can't shake the feeling of déjà vu, reminiscent of your first love, Harry Styles. Your heart aches at the memory of the deep connection you once shared with him, even though you're no longer together.
As you make your way down the stairs, Jamie is waiting for you, dressed in a sharp suit and a warm smile.
Jamie had offered to drive you to Levi's, knowing that your heels might not be the best for walking. He greets you with a friendly grin and says, "Looking stunning, as always."
The dress that Jamie had picked out of your closet was an emerald green one that hugged your body in all the right places. You didn’t exactly know what the colour theme for the Masquerade party was, but you trusted your best friend with his decisions.
You chuckle and adjust Delilah in your arms. "Thanks, J. And thanks for the lift. It's much appreciated."
Delilah, clutching her beloved bunny, looks up at Jamie with a bright smile. "Hi, JJ!"
Jamie leans in and ruffles her hair playfully. "Hey DD. Are you ready to have some fun with your dad?"
Delilah nods eagerly, her excitement contagious. You feel a pang of nostalgia thinking about the family dynamics that have evolved over the years.
The three of you leave the front door behind, the night sky gently illuminated by the soft glow of streetlights. You carefully place Delilah in the car seat that Jamie has in his car, a familiar seat from their countless playdates together. Her eyes are droopy, the weight of a busy day finally catching up to her. You press a loving kiss to her forehead before making your way to the passenger front seat.
Jamie takes the wheel, and the car pulls out of the driveway, embarking on the journey to Levi's place. The cityscape passes by in a blur of lights, creating a serene backdrop to the silent drive. The gentle hum of the engine and the occasional soft lullaby playing on the radio are the only sounds that fill the car.
Delilah's eyelids grow heavier with each passing mile, her breathing steady as she drifts into a peaceful slumber. You glance over at her, a feeling of warmth and contentment washing over you as you watch your daughter sleep, knowing that you're on your way to reunite her with her father. The car moves steadily through the quiet night, a soothing rhythm that lulls you into your own thoughts
As Jamie pulls the car to a stop outside Levi's house, you turn to him and explain, "I'll just five minutes. I need to get her sorted."
Jamie nods in understanding, giving you an assuring smile. "Take your time. I'll wait right here."
You unbuckle your sleeping daughter from her car seat, noticing how her head has lulled to the side, and her tiny thumb has found its way to her mouth. Gently, you lift her into your arms, making sure not to jostle her. She snuggles closer to you, still lost in the embrace of a deep slumber.
Carefully, you shut the car door behind you as quietly as possible, not wanting to disturb her peaceful rest. With Delilah cradled on your hip, you make your way towards Levi's house,
You stop outside Levi's front door, taking a deep breath before ringing the doorbell. You wait patiently, giving it a minute and a half before the door finally swings open. Levi stands there, leaning against the door frame, a smile of genuine warmth spreading across his face as he sees the two of you.
His eyes light up when he notices Delilah fast asleep in your arms. He reaches out to take her gently, pressing a loving kiss to her forehead. Delilah instinctively snuggles in closer to his neck, her tiny thumb still in her mouth.
Levi, cradling her in his arms, starts to sway his hips back and forth, a nostalgic smile on his face as if she were a baby all over again. He whispers, "Hey, little one, how long have you been asleep?"
You reply with a soft chuckle, "She fell asleep on the car ride over."
Levi continues to sway, his voice filled with tenderness. "Oh, my sweet girl. I've missed you so much."
Levi smiles as he looks at you and compliments your dress, "You look beautiful in that dress. Are you heading somewhere nice tonight?"
You chuckle, knowing that he's well aware of your reluctance. "Jamie's dragging me to a school reunion."
Levi laughs in response. "Ah, I see. Well, you'll survive, I'm sure."
You smile and then turn your attention to Delilah, who's fussing in his arms, shifting her head from one side to the other. Leaning forward, you press a soft kiss to her nose and whisper, "I love you, sweetie."
Looking back at Levi, you speak with genuine concern, "If she needs me or anything happens, don't hesitate to call, okay?"
Levi nods with understanding. "Of course, you know I will. Have a good time tonight, and we'll see you on Sunday when you pick her up."
With that, you reluctantly leave Delilah in Levi's care, trusting that they will have a wonderful weekend together while you attend the reunion with Jamie.
You make your way over to Jamie's waiting car and get inside, letting out a deep sigh as you settle into the seat. You turn to him and say with a hint of resignation, "Let's just get this over with, Jamie. Drive, please."
As the engine revs to life, you brace yourself for the upcoming school reunion, knowing that it's not exactly your idea of a fun evening.
Harry stands outside the school, his eyes fixed on the familiar building that holds a lifetime of memories. As he gazes at the entrance, a million images flood his mind, and they all seem to revolve around you.
He remembers the day he mustered up the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend, his heart pounding in his chest as he nervously stammered out the question. It was a moment of pure happiness when you said yes, and he couldn't stop grinning for days.
Then, there's that vivid memory of the night he finally confessed his love for you, the words tumbling out of his mouth in a rush, afraid he might lose you if he didn't say it right then. Your eyes had sparkled with joy, and you'd hugged him tightly, saying you loved him too.
But there's also the painful memory, the one he's tried to push to the back of his mind for so long. The day he didn't turn up, the day he walked out of your life, leaving you none the wiser about the future that awaited him. It had been the hardest decision he'd ever made, but he believed it was the only way to chase his dreams.
His best mate, Ellis, notices his distant demeanor and approaches him with concern. She furrows her brows and asks, "Haz, everything okay?"
He takes a deep breath, trying to shake off the weight of nostalgia that has settled upon him. "Do y’think she'll be ‘ere?"
Ellis studies him, her expression a mix of sympathy and uncertainty. "I'm not sure, Haz. She's hardly kept in touch with anyone since you left. She's started a whole new life."
Harry's heart aches at the reality of it all. The years that have passed, the choices he's made – they've all taken a toll on the life he once shared with you. It's a stark reminder of the chasm that has grown between them, and he can't help but feel a profound sense of regret.
As he stands there, Ellis places a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Look, Haz, I know this is tough, but it's been years. People change, life moves on. Maybe it's time for both of you to see where you stand now."
Harry knows she's right, but the uncertainty gnaws at him. The thought of facing you after all this time, not knowing what to expect, fills him with anxiety. He's haunted by the memories of his past decisions – the day he walked away, the day he left you behind, oblivious to the superstar journey that awaited him.
His gaze remains fixed on the school's entrance, a mixture of hope and trepidation swirling within him. Deep down, he yearns for a chance to reconnect, to make amends for the pain he may have caused.
But as the minutes tick by, the fear that you've truly moved on and created a new life without him intensifies. Harry can't help but wonder if he's about to face the consequences of the choices he made long ago – choices that have left him with an overwhelming sense of longing and regret.
A sea of people surrounds him. The reunion is in full swing, and the familiar faces of former classmates and friends fill the courtyard. Laughter and chatter echo in the air, mingling with the strains of music playing softly in the background.
Groups of friends huddle together, sharing stories and reminiscing about their school days. Some are holding photographs, while others exchange yearbooks, a tangible link to their shared past.
Brightly lit string lights and decorations adorn the outdoor area, casting a warm and inviting glow over the gathering. Tables are set up with snacks and drinks, a makeshift bar where people gather to toast to old memories and new beginnings.
A live band plays a familiar tune, setting a nostalgic backdrop for the evening. Couples dance under the moonlit sky, their movements graceful and sentimental, lost in their own world of memories.
Ellis, sensing Harry's inner turmoil, gently asks, "Haz, should we go inside?"
He looks at her, his thoughts still heavy, and nods in agreement. With a deep breath, he reaches for the masquerade mask resting beside him and places it over his face. It's like a protective shield, concealing his emotions as he prepares to face the unknown.
Harry then links his arm with Ellis, who offers him a reassuring smile, and together, they enter the building. The vibrant sounds of the reunion wash over them as they step into the bustling venue, ready to confront the past and whatever it may hold.
The walk to the hall feels endless, each step stretching into an eternity. Harry's heart races in his chest, the rhythm of his breath quickening as his anticipation grows. He can feel a lump forming in his throat, threatening to choke him, but he refuses to let it deter him.
The closer he gets to the entrance, the more he becomes aware of the pounding in his chest, the deafening thud of every heartbeat echoing in his ears. His hands tremble slightly, and he can't shake the unease that courses through his veins.
As he finally steps inside the hall, he's met with a sudden hush that washes over the room like a wave. It feels as though time itself has slowed, and every eye in the room turns toward him. The weight of their collective gaze bears down on him, a silent judgement that's impossible to ignore.
He can sense the curiosity, the recognition in their faces as they try to place him in their memories. It's as if he's stepped into a world that he both longed for and feared, a world that has continued without him.
Harry takes a deep breath, summoning every ounce of courage he has left. The room seems to spin around him, and he wonders if he's made a colossal mistake.
You find yourself standing near the drinks table, a masquerade mask adorning your face, and Jamie by your side. Surprisingly, you're starting to actually enjoy yourself, despite your initial reluctance. The soft music in the background and the lively chatter of old friends create a pleasant ambiance.
You and Jamie are engaged in a friendly conversation, reminiscing about the past. You share a laugh as you recount the time you tried to get out of gym class by telling the teacher you had a sore throat.
"Remember that time I told the gym teacher I had a sore throat, and he said I didn't need my voice to play sports?" You chuckle, shaking your head at the memory.
Jamie grins and nods, "Oh, I remember. Classic move, but it didn't work out too well for you, did it?"
You laugh, taking a sip of your drink. "No, it didn't. Ended up running laps instead."
Amid the lighthearted conversation with Jamie, the hall suddenly falls into a profound silence, prompting you to turn your head and see what has captured everyone's attention. It's as if time stands still in that moment, and your eyes meet a sight that you never expected.
There, bathed in the soft, romantic glow of the hall's lighting, stands your ex-boyfriend, your one true love – Harry Styles.
He's dressed impeccably in a green suit, a masquerade mask adorning his face. The mask conceals his emotions, but his presence is unmistakable, sending a ripple through the room.
Of course the two of you were matching.
You were a vision of elegance in your light grey prom dress. The dress flowed gracefully as you descended the stairs, every step feeling like a small journey towards an unforgettable night.
The anticipation was palpable as you made your way down. You knew it was a night that marked a new chapter, a night of celebration and hope. Your heart was a mixture of excitement and nervousness, a beautiful cocktail of emotions that filled you to the brim.
And then you saw him. Harry, standing at the bottom of the stairs in a perfectly matching light grey suit. Time seemed to slow down as you took in the sight of him, and you couldn't help but feel a surge of joy at the coincidence.
It was as if the universe had conspired to ensure that you and Harry were in perfect harmony. Matching in not just attire but in your hearts as well. The smile that adorned his face when he saw you was a sight to behold, and your heart swelled with affection.
Lydia, your mother, couldn't resist commenting on the adorable match. Her eyes twinkled with amusement as she said, "Well, don't you two look adorable, matching in grey? It's like you were made for each other."
Harry's grin only grew wider as he extended his arm towards you, ready to escort you to the grand event.
"I guess we were," he replied, his voice filled with warmth and love.
As you took his arm, you shared a knowing look, an unspoken agreement that this night was not just about the dresses and suits, but the love that had brought you together.
Your heart leaps in your chest as memories flood back – the stolen glances in the hallways, the laughter shared in the cafeteria, the way he looked at you with that warmth in his eyes that made you feel like the most important person in the world.
You watch as he moves gracefully through the crowd, a confident stride that betrays none of the turmoil that might be lurking beneath the surface. People part to make way for him, their eyes following his every move.
As your eyes remain fixed on Harry's approaching figure, your heart races and your words catch in your throat. You turn to Jamie, your voice trembling as you confide in him, "I knew I shouldn't have come, Jamie. Seeing him… all these feelings have just rushed back, and I'm not sure I can handle being in the same room as him."
Jamie places a reassuring hand on your shoulder and offers a sympathetic smile. "Hey, it's okay. We can leave anytime you want. You don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with."
You appreciate his understanding and support, but the turmoil within you is still palpable. The mix of emotions – the longing, the memories, the unresolved feelings – swirls around you, making it difficult to think clearly.
"I appreciate that, J," you reply, your voice steadier but still tinged with uncertainty. "I just need a moment to collect myself. Maybe this is an opportunity to finally confront the past."
With a deep breath, you turn your attention back to the reunion, knowing that you have a decision to make – to stay and face what lies ahead or to leave and continue the life you've built without Harry.
Harry makes his way through the crowd, exchanging pleasantries with a few familiar faces along the way. His heart races as he moves closer to the corner of the room where Ellis stands. Once there, he doesn't waste any time and leans in to speak softly to her, "Do y’see ‘er?"
Ellis follows his gaze, scanning the room before nodding and saying, "Yeah, she's over at the bar with that guy, Jamie, from chemistry."
Harry's breath catches in his throat as he locks eyes with you for a brief moment. The connection is electric, and he can't help but feel a rush of emotions flood back.
He turns his attention back to Ellis, his voice filled with uncertainty. "Do y’think I should go over there and talk t’er?"
Ellis places a comforting hand on his shoulder, offering her advice. "Maybe give it a little time, Harry. Let things settle for a bit. You'll know when the right moment comes."
Harry nods, torn between the desire to reconnect and the fear of making things awkward.
Later in the evening, you find yourself engaged in a lively conversation with an old classmate named Roxy. The two of you are catching up on everything and anything that has happened in your lives since school.
Roxy animatedly shares stories of her career, her travels, and her recent adventures, and you reciprocate by telling her about your journey into football coaching and your beautiful daughter, Delilah.
The camaraderie and laughter flow freely as you reminisce about the antics you got up to during your school days, and you can't help but appreciate the sense of nostalgia that hangs in the air. It's moments like these that make you realize the value of rekindling old friendships and sharing the experiences that have shaped your lives.
You excuse yourself from the conversation with Roxy, telling her that you're just going to the toilet. Inside, the bathroom is a haven of solitude amidst the bustling reunion. You attend to your business, the silence offering a brief respite from the whirlwind of emotions outside.
As you step out of the bathroom and start to make your way back, lost in your thoughts, you collide with something firm and unyielding. Your heart leaps to your throat as you look up, only to be met with a pair of familiar green eyes that you've missed deeply yet haven't at all. It's the man who still owns your heart, Harry Styles.
The world seems to stop around you as you lock eyes with him, the years of separation and unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. It's an encounter that leaves you feeling both awkward and full of angst, a moment you never thought you'd have to confront, and one that could change everything.
And as you stand there, face to face with Harry, you can't help but wonder if this unexpected collision is a twist of fate, a chance to finally address the feelings that have remained unresolved for so long.
You shuffled past Harry, your heart pounding in your chest, the encounter outside the bathroom sending waves of uncertainty through you. It was as if time had reversed, and the emotions you had tried to tuck away came rushing back.
As you walked away from him, you couldn't bring yourself to look back. The weight of the past and the complexities of your emotions left you feeling conflicted and vulnerable. You knew that seeing Harry again was going to stir up old feelings, but you hadn't anticipated how intense it would be.
Harry stood there, watching you walk away, his heart heavy with disappointment. He had hoped for a warm greeting, a chance to talk and maybe find some closure, but the way you had avoided looking at him stung. It was as if he didn't even exist in your world, and that thought was more painful than he had imagined.
He let out a sigh, running a trembling hand through his hair as he tried to collect his thoughts. It was difficult for him to comprehend that you could just walk away without acknowledging him, without even a brief exchange of words. The reunion had been his chance to reconnect, to possibly mend what had been broken, but it seemed like that opportunity had slipped away.
In a mix of emotions and frustration, Harry decided to step into the men's bathroom, leaning against the sink for a moment. He tried to process the anguish he felt at your avoidance, hoping that maybe, just maybe, you might still want to talk and make sense of the unresolved feelings that lingered between you.
You hurriedly returned to the bar, your heart still racing from the encounter with Harry. The vodka you ordered was a lifeline, a familiar friend that would help you navigate the unexpected twists of the night.
The bartender, efficient and understanding, prepared your drink without a word. As he handed it to you, you offered a curt nod of gratitude and took a long, fortifying sip. The strong, bittersweet taste provided a momentary reprieve from the turmoil of emotions that had surged within you.
In the midst of your solitude at the bar, Ellis, a former classmate, approached with a soft, friendly smile. You acknowledged her with a tight-lipped expression, your eyes conveying a mixture of apprehension and fatigue. The reunion had thrust you into a whirlwind of nostalgia, and now, the complexity of your feelings threatened to overwhelm you.
Ellis, eager to bridge the gap, tried to initiate a conversation. "How have you been?" she asked, her voice gentle and empathetic.
You hesitated for a brief moment, the question prompting a whirlwind of thoughts. How could you summarize the years that had passed, the heartache, the joy, the transformation of your life, all in one sentence?
Finally, you responded, "Life's been alright." It was a carefully worded answer, a guarded response that didn't reveal the depths of emotion and experience you'd encountered.
The conversation seemed to stumble into an awkward silence, the weight of the past and the unresolved emotions hanging heavily between you. You took another sip of your vodka, the familiar warmth spreading through your body, offering a temporary refuge from the discomfort of the moment.
Ellis, perceptive and caring, couldn't help but sense the underlying bitterness in your tone. She leaned in closer, her expression filled with concern, and admitted, "I know Harry feels really guilty about leaving you."
Your response was laced with bitterness.
"Yeah, I bet he does," you sighed, the memories of the past and the heartache still very much alive in your mind.
Ellis tapped her nails lightly against the bar, deep in thought.
"Maybe you should talk to him, let him explain everything," she suggested, her words gentle yet persuasive. "You might find some closure, or who knows, even rekindle what once was."
You let out a sceptical chuckle, your eyes scanning the room, but your thoughts lingering on the man you'd tried so hard to forget.
"Why should I?" you questioned, the weight of years of unanswered questions heavy on your heart.
Ellis's voice was soothing and earnest as she continued, "Because, deep down, I know for a fact that the two of you still have feelings for each other. Sometimes, facing the past is the only way to move forward."
The idea of confronting Harry and revisiting the emotions you'd buried felt both daunting and enticing.
You were seated at your desk in math class. The room was filled with the usual chatter, but your focus was on something entirely different. Your crush, seated a few rows ahead, had a way of capturing your attention.
Every time you glanced in his direction, you seemed to catch his gaze, and your heart fluttered. You felt a rush of excitement mixed with a tinge of nervousness. Math class was suddenly a lot more interesting.
Beside you sat Ellis, who happened to be your crush's best friend. She observed your interactions with a knowing smile and a mischievous glint in her eyes. She leaned over and whispered, "You know, I don't get why the two of you just don't admit your feelings."
You blushed, surprised by her comment.
"What? I don't even think he likes me like that," you admitted, trying to downplay your infatuation.
Ellis shook her head with a chuckle. "Trust me, he does. I've seen the way he looks at you when you're not looking. You're both just too stubborn to admit it."
You finished the last of your vodka just as the DJ's voice filled the air, announcing the start of the slow dance. The music shifted into a gentle melody, setting a romantic ambiance that enveloped the room.
As you looked around, you noticed the eager faces of the reunion attendees, everyone seeking out a partner for the dance. Friends and acquaintances paired up, swaying to the music, but you couldn't help but notice that no one approached Harry. It was as if they were all a bit intimidated by his presence, the weight of his fame making him an enigma to most.
Harry stood in the corner, a lone figure amidst the couples on the dance floor. There was a vulnerability in his expression that was rarely seen, a hint of longing that was both endearing and bittersweet. It was clear that he was just as much a part of the reunion as anyone else, yet he remained untouched, like a distant star in the night sky.
With a deep sigh and a final adjustment of your clammy hands against your dress, you made a resolute decision. The pull toward Harry was undeniable, and you couldn't ignore the feeling any longer. It was time to face what had been left unresolved for far too long.
You began to navigate the room, and at first, he remained oblivious to your approach. It wasn't until you stopped right in front of him that he looked up, a bewildered expression in his eyes. In his gaze, you sensed surprise, almost disbelief, as if he had convinced himself that you didn't want to be near him.
You held your hand out, a nervous smile tugging at the corners of your lips, and said, "Want to be my dance partner? I think it's time we talked."
The words hung in the air, laden with unspoken emotions and the weight of the past. Harry's surprise slowly gave way to a flicker of hope, his eyes meeting yours as he contemplated your offer.
You took Harry's hand and gently guided him to the dance floor, the anticipation and uncertainty palpable in the air. As the music started to play, a soft, melodic tune that filled the room, you both hesitated before finally finding your place on the floor.
Hesitantly, you wrapped your arms around his neck, your fingertips grazing the soft hairs at the nape. Harry reciprocated by placing his hands on your waist, his touch light and tentative. The proximity felt both foreign and familiar, and you started swaying to the music, finding a rhythm that was uniquely your own.
The silence between you was awkward, filled with words left unsaid, emotions unexpressed. It was as if the weight of the years apart, the unanswered questions, and the unspoken feelings had manifested in this dance.
You couldn't help but steal glances at each other, each fleeting look revealing a complex mix of emotions—nostalgia, longing, and a hint of uncertainty.
The two of you swayed to the music in the awkward embrace of the slow dance, caught in a moment that had been a decade in the making. As the silence grew more uncomfortable, Harry finally broke it, his voice carrying the weight of their shared history.
"How have you been?" he asked, his eyes locked onto yours, searching for a glimpse of the girl he used to know.
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal.
"Life's been fine," you replied, the words feeling both superficial and loaded with unspoken complexities.
Feeling the tension in the air, you decided to shift the focus.
"And how's it living the life of a rockstar?" you asked, trying to break through the awkwardness. It was a loaded question, but one that seemed safe enough.
Harry's expression tightened, as if he were choosing his words carefully. "S’a lot. Busy, y’know. But s’what I've always wanted."
As you pressed Harry for answers, the weight of the past seemed to hang in the air.
"Why did you leave, Harry?" you asked, your voice filled with a mix of curiosity and pain. "You didn't say anything. You just disappeared."
Harry sighed, and as he met your gaze, his eyes held a hint of regret.
"M’didn't want t’hurt ye’," he confessed, his voice low and sincere.
The words hit you with a mix of emotions.
"You didn't want to hurt me?" you repeated, the realisation sinking in.
Just as he seemed about to elaborate, your phone rang, displaying Levi's name on the screen.
The phone call from Levi seemed to have come at an inopportune moment, breaking the fragile conversation between you and Harry. With a sigh, you held up a finger as if to say, "I need to take this." You turned and walked away from the slow dance, your steps guided by the beckoning ring of your phone.
As you distanced yourself from Harry and the dance floor, you couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and disappointment. The unanswered questions and unspoken feelings lingered between you, a weight you had carried for far too long.
In the crowd, Harry caught Jamie's eyes, and their silent exchange was filled with unspoken understanding. Jamie nodded in the direction you had left, mouthing the words,
"Go after her." The silent encouragement was a reminder that some things were worth pursuing, even after a decade of silence and distance.
As you stepped outside the venue to take the call, your heart raced with concern. You quickly answered the phone, bringing it up to your ear, and without preamble, you asked, "Is everything okay with Delilah?"
Levi's voice came through the line, reassuring but tinged with understanding. "Yeah, she's fine. She woke up just now and started crying because she didn't get to speak to you before bed."
A sigh of relief escaped your lips, but you couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. "I'm so sorry, Levi. Put her on the phone. I need to talk to her."
The phone was passed to Delilah, and her voice, small and tearful, reached your ear. "Mummy?"
Your heart ached as you replied, "Hey, sweetheart. I'm here. I'm sorry I missed our bedtime chat. I love you so much."
Delilah's voice was still laced with sleepiness and a touch of uncertainty. "Love you too, Mummy. When are you coming back?"
You glanced back at the venue, where the reunion was still in full swing, and then back to the dark knight beyond. The choice you were about to make felt significant, not just for yourself but for your daughter as well. "I'll be back soon, baby. I promise. You be good for daddy, okay?"
As you finished your conversation with Delilah, ending with an "I love you," you hung up the phone and took a deep breath, feeling the weight of your choices bearing down on you. The brisk night air provided a welcome contrast to the warm and crowded venue behind you.
Just then, Harry walked outside, and the timing was uncanny. He caught the tail end of your call, hearing your affectionate words to whoever was on the phone. A wave of mixed emotions washed over him. He thought he had missed his chance, that you had moved on with your life and no longer needed him.
Turning around, you were startled to find Harry standing there in the shadows. His sudden appearance caught you off guard, and you let out a little jump in surprise.
Harry, concern etched across his features, asked, "S’everything alright? Y’looked panicked when y’saw y’phone."
You quickly collected yourself, offering a reassuring smile. "Yeah, everything's fine. I just needed to answer it without the loud music," you explained, hoping to quell any worries.
Harry, seemingly relieved, asked, "Was that y’boyfriend?"
With a sigh, you shook your head. "No, not my boyfriend. It was my daughter."
The silence that followed was heavy, and Harry's eyes widened in realisation.
You were sprawled out in Harry's garden, a patchwork of the evening sky painted with shades of deep blue and a tapestry of stars, twinkling like a thousand distant dreams. The soft scent of flowers and freshly mowed grass wafted through the air, blending with the comforting scent of Harry's cologne.
As you lay in his arms, cocooned in the embrace of young love, the world beyond seemed to melt away, leaving just the two of you and the vast expanse of the night. The grass cradled your bodies like a feathered mattress, a canvas for the dreams that flowed freely.
Amidst this tranquil backdrop, Harry's voice broke the tranquil silence.
"Do y’ever want t’ave kids?" he asked, his fingers tracing idle patterns on your arm. His words were like a gentle breeze, laden with curiosity and the promise of an uncertain future.
You turned your head to look at him, your eyes meeting him in the dim light. A smile graced your lips as you replied,
"Yeah, I'd love to have kids someday. Especially our kids." The words tumbled out with an ease that only young love could inspire, a declaration of your shared hopes and dreams.
Harry's heart skipped a beat, and he kissed your forehead, his warm breath mingling with the cool night air.
"Our kids," he repeated softly, his voice filled with promise and the intoxicating scent of first love. In that moment, under the canvas of a starlit sky, you both painted a picture of a future filled with shared adventures and laughter, not yet aware of the challenges and heartaches that lay ahead.
You lay there, sharing your dreams and aspirations, your hearts intertwined like the constellations above.
Harry looked at you, his eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and confusion.
"Y’ave a daughter?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
You nodded, the weight of the past and present pressing heavily upon you.
"Yeah," you replied, your voice thick with emotion. "She's four."
The question hung in the air, heavy and unresolved. Harry's voice broke the silence, asking, "Are y’with the dad?"
Your eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and frustration. You looked at him with a hurt expression before saying, "Is that all you care about? Whether I'm with her dad or not?"
Harry, seemingly flustered, quickly responded, "No, f’course not."
The anger and hurt simmered beneath the surface as you shook your head, the words pouring out with the force of years of unspoken resentment. "You lost the right to care about who I'm with or my life a long time ago when you up and left. You didn't even deserve to know that I had a daughter."
Harry's face contorted with regret as your words hit him like a tidal wave. The argument had grown intense, and the emotions that had been suppressed for years were now surging to the surface.
He took a step closer to you, a deep sigh escaping his lips as he finally said, "M’sorry."
Your eyes met his, but the anger still smoldered within you.
"Sorry isn't going to change anything," you retorted, your voice laced with frustration and pain.
As he began to speak, his voice wavered with raw emotion.
"M’sorry that I left ye," he admitted, his words tinged with guilt and sorrow. "But I knew f’a fact that y’wouldn't want t’live the life with a rockstar, a life where y’hardly see me."
Your confusion and worry grew as you stood on Harry's doorstep, knocking anxiously.
When Harry's mother answered the door, her expression was sombre. You immediately asked, "Where's Harry? He was supposed to meet me today."
His mother hesitated for a moment before delivering the news that would shatter your world. "Harry didn't tell you? He's left, dear. He left early this morning to head to London."
You blinked, struggling to comprehend the reality of the situation.
"But when will he be back?" you implored, your voice trembling.
His mother's gaze remained sympathetic, but her words were final. "He won't be coming back, love. He's a part of One Direction now, and their tours are about to begin."
You knew he was part of the band, you had gone to a few live shows and even looked after him after the band finished in Third, when all he wanted was you.
He never told you about a tour, about anything, although you noticed that he was on his phone quite a lot, you just thought he was playing that stupid game.
But you must have been wrong.
You couldn't believe what you were hearing, and the initial shock gave way to a growing sense of despair.
"Why didn't he tell me?" you managed to stammer out, your voice cracking as you tried to understand.
You had thought your relationship was built on trust and communication.
His mother's sympathetic gaze only deepened the emotional turmoil you were experiencing.
"I think he didn't want to hurt you," she offered gently. "This opportunity means a lot to him."
Too late for that.
Your mind raced with a million questions. How had everything changed so suddenly? What would this mean for your future together? You couldn't imagine life without Harry by your side.
"He's been practising with the band for weeks now," Harry's mother continued, "and their tours are about to begin. It's a big chance for him, and he didn't want to hold himself back."
Tears welled up in your eyes, a mixture of sorrow, confusion, and frustration. You had never expected this turn of events, and the sense of abandonment was overwhelming.
The weight of his confession hung heavy in the air. Harry continued, his gaze locked onto yours,
"T’band was just starting out, and I knew I'd be on the road, seeing y’less and less. I didn't want t’hurt ye."
The argument, once fueled by anger, seemed to transform into a tumultuous sea of emotions. Your heart ached as you listened to his words, realizing that he had walked away not out of indifference, but out of love—or what he had believed was love.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you heard Harry's confession, the raw emotion in his voice cutting through the anger and resentment that had fueled your argument. You took a deep breath, trying to steady your voice, and replied, "I didn't get to choose what life I wanted to live. I wanted to be with you, but you made that choice for me."
Harry's eyes glistened with remorse as he implored, "I wanted t’protect ye’ t’keep y’from a life that would hurt ye."
Your voice trembled as you spoke, the tears now flowing freely.
"The only life I wanted to live was one with you, but then you up and left me, our relationship," you said, your voice breaking as you confronted the years of pain that had been buried deep within.
Harry's response was a whisper of regret. "When I auditioned, y’had t’walk out halfway through because y’didn't do well in the crowd."
At this, your emotions spiraled, and you couldn't contain the rush of memories and feelings that overwhelmed you. You cried as you defended yourself and the relationship you had once cherished. "I was scared, Harry, scared of the expectations, of the distance, but I still loved you. I didn't want to let you down, but you walked out on us, on me."
The weight of all the years of heartache and misunderstandings became too much to bear, and you started to sob uncontrollably. The tears flowed freely, and your body shook with the intensity of your emotions.
Without hesitation, Harry wrapped his arms around you, drawing you close, his chest becoming a sanctuary for your broken heart. His voice, gentle and soothing, whispered into your ear, "M’so sorry, m’love. I'll spend the rest f’m’life making it up t’you."
Amidst the tears and the weight of unspoken words, your voice quivered as you finally found the strength to speak.
"Harry, you don't understand how hard it was...how hard it still is," you confessed, your words choked with emotion. "You were my everything, and you just left without even a word."
Harry's grip tightened, and his voice was filled with a deep sense of remorse. "I know, and I can't change the past, but I want t’make things right, t’be there f’ye."
You paused for a moment, looking up at him, your eyes red and swollen. "It's not just about me, Harry. I've moved on, and I have a daughter now. You just can't come back into my life like this."
His voice was filled with sincerity as he replied, "I understand. I'll do whatever it takes t’earn y’forgiveness and be a part f’y’life again."
The weight of the years hung heavy in the air, but as you held each other amidst the tears and the apologies, there was a glimmer of hope that perhaps, with time and effort, wounds could heal and a new chapter could begin.
HOW DO YOU MAKE X SO FRIENDSHAPED?!
But also genuinely curious about the design translation from the actual skins to your interpretations due to the small but mighty details added in
Infodump as hard as you want!
If i ever pass up an opportunity to talk about my X design, it will be because I am either dead, or dying!!! neither are true at time of posting, so here you go! I will be going over my ENTIRE design process for Xisuma, starting with my initial design:
My initial design for Xisuma wasn't anything special, in my opinion. Most of what I included was directly ripped from the classic Doomslayer. Though, the face scars were inherited from fanon, of course. :) The changes that I did make were in service of having things make more sense for Xisuma. Namely, the belt buckle, and the fabric covering the arms...
The belt buckle is simple - bullets didn't really make sense as a design motif, all considered - but the fabric is more complicated. I have a couple different ideas about why Xisuma wears the suit, but I haven't settled one way or the other on some of the specifics, so forgive me if I'm a bit vague. Ultimately, It is just my impression that X is not comfortable having his body visible more than it needs to be, whether that be for health-related reasons or for personal/emotional reasons. I don't intend to ever draw Xisuma with his helmet off, because of that. To me, it feels like a violation of boundaries. To be perfectly clear though, that's just for me - more power to other artists who draw him without the helmet/armor! :)
By the time I was full-on fixated on Xisuma, I realized I was unsatisfied with this first pass at his design. Mainly, in regards to the helmet. So I did more work on it!
I feel like my re-design process for the helmet is a good example of the importance of using reference. :) I did a lot of unsatisfactory sketches before pulling up pictures of real helmets, at which point I feel like I settled on something I was happy with very quickly.
Specifically, I referenced motocross helmets! My choice of reference was mostly driven by my passing interest in sports equipment design, though motocross helmets are similarly bulky and have the same distinct mouthpiece as X's helmet, so I think it was a good choice. I also feel like the pixels at the top of Xisuma's skin can be pretty easily read as the brim of a helmet, so it works out!
Other than the motocross helmet influence, I also made the choice to add tubing to the sides and back of the helmet. This rolls with my headcanons about the purpose of the helmet, connecting to air tanks on his back! I also think it helps to distinguish him from the doomslayer, in addition to the new helmet shape.
The only other changes I made were to the helmet's palette, added a few additional grey tones for contrast, and the positioning of his scars. I decided I wanted them to be a little off-center, leaning towards his left eye. I'm pretty inconsistent with how I draw the scars though, lol, so it changed again by the next time I drew him.
At this point my design is mostly settled for him, and I don't expect it to change very significantly any time soon. I don't have much else to say about it, but I listed the other iterative changes I made to the design above! I figure I will continue making small tweaks to his design every time I draw him :)
That said... I have yet to answer your initial question! So I will answer it now:
"HOW DO YOU MAKE X SO FRIENDSHAPED?!"
My answer is that it's (almost) all in the eyes!!! I have already talked pretty extensively about Xisuma's eyes. So I won't dwell for too long! In short, human facial recognition is very closely tied to the eyes. The ability to see the eyes of a character clearly affords you a lot of flexibility when it comes to making a design seem approachable, or "friend-shaped." I painted over a screenshot of doomguy to illustrate my point!
My drawings tend towards being a little cutesy, of course, so that helps :) but you can see that the bright, saturated color, big distinct eyes, and less harsh expression all contribute to making him seem like he is less of a threat, despite this literally just being the doomslayer.
Another thing that helps is, again, related to the style I draw in. My art is very "clean" looking, not gritty. I use a lot of soft shape language and don't texture things too heavily. With Xisuma specifically, I also make no effort to make him seem intimidating. I use very neutral angles when drawing him, I don't frame him in a way that makes him seem intimidating or imposing, I don't pose him too confidently or angrily. Because he's not that kind of guy! Though it would be an interesting challenge to try and make him look as intimidating as possible :) I certainly think he could be quite scary, if he wanted to be. Just a matter of what I'm trying to convey.
... I think that's all I have to say for now! Once again, blown away by all the nice things people have to say about my Xisuma design and my art. Everyone here has been so kind and encouraging, and I really appreciate that. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to yell about Xisuma! If you have follow up questions, by all means, I am ready to answer :)
"Menaces of earth renegades" - bonus piece for MMVWeek done in 2023 featuring Gemini, Snake and Top in their Satellites form.
Snake's design and interpretation belongs to @theletterwsartflap who kindly let me use it for this piece. Thank you so much, friend! 🫂
As per usual, more info/headcanons under the read more!
Writing Stardroid/Earthbots ships always came with the fun of planetary associations and the like and even more so when the three of them happened to be from the same line! The first ship was SunGemTerra but with time SnakeMerc and SaturnTop happened as well, leading to three of the MM3 bots line ending up with Stardroids relationships. ( > 〰 < )
Self-dubbed as the Starchasers, Gem, Snake and Top ended up receiving from mysterious sources (space deities? who knows, really) an extra surge of power linked to the planets of the stardroids' which have found residence in their hearts. Therefore we have:
Top's form of Titanus, Saturn's satellite
Snake's form of Caduceus, Mercury's satellite
Gemini's form of Moon, Terra's and Sunstar's satellite
now i know some of these have been "stretched" in terms of satellite so bear with me for a moment please \(๑﹏๑ ;)/
Of course when approaching this concept there was the main problem that mercury as a planet does not have a satellite of its own and neither does the sun under the technical point of view.
So when I spoke with @theletterwsartflap (since I've been allowed to use her Snake's design and intepretation because of writing together) about Snake's satellite role and reflected over the fact that the greek deity of Hermes is shown holding the caduceus, which is a staff of two snakes and the greek deity later on is named Mercury in the roman pantheon of gods, things started to line up! Kels' supervision with Snake's satellite design has also been an immense help for me ;v; thank you so much again friend for letting me use your Snake design for this.
Again, I know it's a stretch in the term of satellite but I did want the three of them to be equal in their roles, so even if astronomically it wouldn't be accurate, Caduceus Snake gets the title of Satellite too.
Top was the easiest to work on since Saturn does have satellites so choose Titanus both because it's the largest of the planet's satellites and also because it starts with the letter T as well, so felt too fitting to pass on the opportunity.
Gemini was fun to work with because I cannot help finding it amusing that even when his cloning is not the main point, he still holds the theme of duality because of his role of Moon being linked both to planet earth and the sun (because really where's the fun if I cannot be so self indulgent?). Earth has its satellite but the sun does not have one, the moon is the sun's mirror but you know what? Good enough for me to work with- if duality is Gem's thing at core then even in his Satellite form he should have that; so in the role of Satellite for the Earth and Sun, allow me once again a little of stretch in the term. He is both Earth's satellite and the Sun's mirror, both incapsulated in the same role of Moon.
There is more I could share (duality concerning the moon's phases, tidbits of stuff that was added due to my liking for astrology and so on) but without art to accompany it it'd feel too dispersive I fear so for now, that's it. If you've read so far, thank you SO MUCH ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂)⸝♡ this is story I've poured my heart in for so long so while sharing it is fun, it's also quite scary ahaha. Hope it's been a fun read at least! -`♡´-
Can you please talk about how you 3D model? I love your style and as an aspiring 3d modeller myself the dragon models you make are just so satisfying!! love the khepra (they can do no wrong)
Thank you!! I’d love to talk about it ,,
So I learned how to 3D model by following a roblox game studio called Sonar Studios a few years ago. The lead developer makes speedModeling videos on youtube if you'd like to reference those. Back then I could only learn by visuals and trying to figure out what they were doing but eventually after self teaching myself, I was able to become a trial dev for them and learn with them!! So what I’ll be talking about closely reflects their style of modeling.
First, I have this old Google slides I made of the basics of blender (program I use)(you can ignore the parts about roblox)
But before that, I want to share how my models started out (after a bit of eyeballing)
This guy looks good visually UNTIL you look at his wireframe... oh boy... Some issues I can name here are: modifiers not applied, unoptimized, seems kinda lazily done
BUT! I wanted to continue modeling due to the idea of having "digital action figures of my designs" which is super fun lol. So I practiced here and there and now I'm pretty comfortable where I'm at but I wont pass up the opportunity to learn new things about blender!
(wings hidden for convenience) You can see now, this guy is MUCH cleaner looking compared to that model from 2021. I want to say though, the only modifier I don't apply unless I'm going to rig the model is the Mirror modifier.
OPTIMIZATION. IS. IMPORTANT! (and so is making sure your model looks clean on the wireframe level)
Look at the stats of both these models! The left is the model from 2021 while the right is the model from 2024... huge difference! That's because I learned how to optimize! Detail of your model plays a huge part in this too but you can see that visually, both appear to be just as detailed. (Lower numbers usually means better BUT do not over-optimize because it can make your model look lower quality. Clean up your model the best you can while retaining as much original quality as possible! it is OK to cut out some design elements, for example if you have a really complex splotch pattern, depending on how detailed, it's ok to get rid of smaller and less important patterns as long as you keep close to the original shape to preserve quality.)
Some things of note before I move on:
The way I apply materials in the google slides is outdated (in my style) and now I follow this tutorial (I also change my model ref sheets to include gradient palettes if I need them)
I DO THIS AS A HOBBY! Not everything I do is perfect and that's okay!
I ALWAYS simplify my ref sheets to make them easier to model (it is OK to have a super detailed design as long as there's no super tiny details you wont notice)(additionally, if your design is detailed and your numbers start to go up, don't worry)
I have a natural eye for 3D shapes which is why modeling comes easy to me but if you struggle with only a side view of your subject then draw/reference more angles!
Also... you didn't ask but I want to touch back on the idea of "digital action figures" with the basics of rigging your model
I follow this tutorial but specifically the section on "rigid rigging" because weight painting is still a mystery to me. I know it's important.. but because I don't use my models besides personal use, my rigging abilities are super messy lol. I don't name my bones unless it's for symmetry reasons. Something also of note is when I'm ready to rig my model, I split it. Basically meaning I turn it from a figure to an action figure by giving it ball joints! (this part is probably the most tedious and boring)
In this style of modeling, your joints may never be perfect but it doesn't matter, you learn to love it.
Keirr character discussion / breakdown
• The egotistical prick • The Aira hater • The deciever
- Quick author note: I’m going to be doing something slightly different, where I basically read the scenes that involved Keirr and leave a tag afterwords of pages I am going over. This will at least give you opportunity to read along with me and understand my breakdowns a little better.
- Another note: I am always using the Tumblr mobile app, so I apologize if my documents look rather funky on the computer version. I am trying to spruce them up and make them look at least somewhat good lol.
- Final note: I will be going over “Asmundr” Keirr, only a little bit though, mainly for his background. Other than that, I am focusing on “Home” Keirr. Now let’s get into it!
-
What I will be going over:
- What we know of Keirr’s history
- How he suddenly went from sweet and family oriented. Then turned into an egotistical jerk off, who stopped prioritizing family.
- A little on his personality
-
- Early History
In Keirrs early history, we know that he was born around the middle of Kiques 1st comic, Asmundr. And let me tell you, this fool has changed designs like.. 5 different times.
Ahem, anyway. Keirr is shown as the more “mature” one, compared to Rhov. In Asmundr, it is shown that he is a “decent” hunter, while him and his brother work on deer hides. He is even more reasonably suspicious than Rhov, when Jahla enters the scene and tackles Rhovanion.
When the war between Ranulfr and the Asmundr pack hit, Keirr was pretty useful and followed instructions well. Near the end of the war, you could tell he was tired of having to kill the Shield wolves, but he continued to kill. And really, that about sums up Keirrs story in Asmundr. Obviously, the first comic wasn’t about the offspring, like Home is. So I can’t really follow up with much, in “Asmundr” Keirr.
-
- Read along breakdown:
Now, we’ll be going over “Home” Keirr.
Two years had passed since “Asmundr”, so I feel the rest of this information does not qualify for Keirrs early history section.
Too begin.. Keirr and his family are dropped off on Aedra, they are not given a time limit of how long this lasts. All they know is, father will return at some point. Until then, they all make do and continue with their lives.
Keirr is still shown to be the more mature / family oriented guy. As everyone else decides to explore Aedra and see what they can find, Keirr decides to stay back with the Asmundr pack. Keirr at least retains his personality, for now, from Asmundr.( Page 8. Can also be seen on page 104. )
Then came the time when Zilas died, Keirr was the one to discover him first. Of course, he took it pretty hard considering that he grew up with Zilas and saw him as a brother. Of course, a lot of those crucial bonding moments us readers need are shown “off-screen”. It was never truly shown how close Keirr and Zilas were. ( Page 127 - 128 )
Fast forward to the time he discovered Aira, this is when things get juicy. For a while, Keirr was not Kiques priority and he did not make a real, solid appearance for a few chapters, up until page 138. This is when Kique decides Keirr needs a fucked up “Home” style arc next.
Keirr is seen carrying a torch, probably out mourning his loss I’d imagine.. Otherwise, idk why tf he is out late, or seen / helping anyone bury Zilas? This was the time when night beasts were a thing. Anyway! He is caught off guard by a voice, who comes from Aira, hiding. Keirr still retains his suspicious behavior, like in Asmundr and asks her to come closer, for the fire he is carrying. To his surprise, he is greeted with a badly wounded dog. Reasonably, he asks Aira if she was attacked by a feline, probably trying to see if she is the reason Zilas is dead. Quickly, his suspicions are cleared and he offers her help. ( Page 138 - 139 )
Suddenly, in video game reloading fashion, Keirr spawns at camp with Rhov and Jahla. Where the hell did Aira go? Anyway, I like that Keirr called out Rhov and Jahla for trying to throw blame around on anyone they could, for Zilas’s death. And then looking down at them, like a disappointed father. Thankfully, he is still retaining his personality at this point. I have to say though, it is interesting that Keirr decides to care for Aira alone and not bring her back to the Asmundr pack. Knowing his suspicious behavior, this might have been the better option for him. ( Page 140 - 141 )
We are then shown Keirr and Aira at her den. Keirr is definitely shown as more able bodied than Aira and attempts to help her up, when he realizes she can’t make it up on her own. His so far suspicious behavior remains intact, when he realizes her den has an odd amount of space for one dog; especially one of her size. He even tries to wiggle in some questions for her, but to no avail. He leaves Aira with supplies and is even kind enough to give her a knife and hide a hare nearby for her. ( Page 151 - 152 )
A few hours had passed, seemingly it looks like Aira tracked Keirr down and sat down with him. Keirr then opens up a little bit about Zilas and his family. The odd part for me is that, he is shown to be a family oriented guy, you’d imagine he’d want to mourn with his family? But I suppose he would rather want to mourn alone, for some odd reason. Kique tends to do a lot of important things “off-screen.” Anyway, instead of going back to his family, he chooses to mourn with a stranger. Which to me is slightly out of character of him. ( Page 160 - 161 )
A day or so later passes and suddenly Keirr is an expert in physical therapy. This scene from him looks promising, until he joins up with Whispervale. More on that later. Keirr helps Aira jump over a log and help regain her mobility. Then he decides it’s time to go back to his family, in the middle of such a primary moment? Aira then runs up and kisses him to stop him from leaving. Then he subtly gloats at her about how he is her “only chance of survival”, I mean what a nice thing to say lol. I feel this is when Keirr starts acting out of character, but it isn’t super noticeable yet. I’m also not quite sure why he said she couldn’t join the pack, Kainan would have saw no problem with it? Then he contradicts himself by saying he’ll continue taking care of her, but can’t leave his family to care for a stranger, all in the same breath? What? lol. ( Page 197 - 199 )
Keirr then finally discovers that the Asmundr pack is no longer there. Also, it’s kind of funny how it foreshadows the reindeer being dead in the fourth panel, but magically they’re still alive when Ronja gives them to the Deer humpers. Not only this, but it’s way too soon for the Reindeer to leave behind bones? Or why didn’t Keirr notice them while he visited the territory? Another plot hole lol. ( Page 226 )
Then Keirr suddenly decides he wants to go back to Aira, even after being a subtle dick to her. He notices that she is no longer in the vicinity and begins looking for her instead. Contradicting himself again, because he just told her he wouldn’t leave his family for a stranger. So why does he choose to go after Aira instead and not start looking for his family? Hm. ( Page 235 )
At least Keirr was nice enough to go searching for her.. But he comes across her re-possessing herself with the monster she was previously. Aira explains that she can’t survive without it. Keirr added salt to that wound by saying previously, he was her only chance of survival and then dipping out on her. Reasonably though, Keirr stops her from completing the ritual. Once he is able to pull her away from the spirit, he comforts her and makes sure to tell her that he is here for her. Boy what a damn 180 that happens in the future! Keirr then discovers Aira’s background and what she use to be, they share a tender moment together and then apologize for their previous actions. ( Probably the one and only time you’ll see that in this comic. ) Then Keirr suddenly decides she can join the pack, because it was always an option, Keirr was just being a dick. And with that, Keirr invites her to look for his family with him. Aira is able to offer some advice, as she has previously traveled the entire island in her beast form. ( Page 267 - 276 )
Here comes the total 180 of Keirr, when Aira shows him the way to Whispervale. Suddenly Keirr spouts out “We should ask them to join their pack!” Wtf?? Even Aira asks him why, just ask them if they have seen his family. Then for some reason Keirr wants to use Whispervale for their resources before continuing, but in the same breath wants to join their Tribe? None of what he just said to Aira made sense to me. Obviously Aira is uncomfortable, but Keirr doesn’t give a shit lol. Once Whispervale approaches them, Keirr asks if they can join their Tribe. Keirr then attempts to gain sympathy from Fraujar, but rightfully he gets none. Fraujar makes a statement to Keirr that the health of his tribe is everything to him, and he needs more from them than what they have shown Fraujar. Fraujar then assigns Felidae to get them acquainted with everything. Not sure what Keirr or Kique are thinking in this moment, as this is a total 180 from Keirr and his plans.( Page 311 - 314 )
Time passes for the pair and of course Aira asks Keirr when they are leaving Whispervale. Seems she’s the one that adopted Keirrs old personality, cause she’s the only one eager enough to go find them. Of course Keirr shuts her down with a bullshit excuse. “We need stability!” Not sure why he suddenly is against his own idea of searching for his family and staying with Whispervale. I mean what else did he expect trying to find them? Aira is obviously uncomfortable joining a Tribe she did not want, but again, Keirr doesn’t care. Finally their right of passage comes and Aira is the first one to participate. Aira is once again expressing she is UNCOMFORTABLE, before her trial begins. Keirr tries to reassure her, but beyond face value, Aira is stuck there because of his dumbass, unwilling at that. Of course Aira doesn’t do very well in her trial, Fraujar then says her character can be improved, but her structure is… Not up to parr. Then Keirr is all like “Oh she just needs to be trained!” Homie, did you not listen to anything Aira has said previously? She was BORN like this, she can’t just magically work out and get better. That’s not how disabilities work, idiot. ( And would you imagine it, Kique is actually an ableist and no wonder Airas character was handled like this! Go on! Read Stazz / Zirvasitys documents on her relationship with the kind hearted author! ) ( Page 326 - 331 )
Tch, anyway. Aira is obviously disappointed, she told Keirr and even expressed to Keirr that she did not want to join this tribe. I would imagine being in her shoes, she feels unheard, but tried to please Keirr anyway, only to fail. Then of course came Keirrs time and suddenly we’re shown a flashback between Keirr and his father. Of course, this was never shown in Asmundr, or Home. Suddenly Kainan and Keirr found time to actually give a shit about reindeer behavior. ANYWAY. Keirr is oddly confident in larping, how did the confident, son of Kainan, shield wolf killer end up in this situation lmfao. Of course, to nobodies surprise, Keirr nails the trial, he still loses the fight against Raun and everyone is buddy - buddy. ( Page 332 - 336 )
The next scene that follows, we have Raun shouting out at Keirr, saying he looks good and can pass as a guard if he keeps it up. Tbh, this seemed friendly at first, but watching the way Raun interacts with Keirr in the future, makes me feel like Raun is the neighborhood creep lol. Aira then comes out of the hut, her scars completely healed. Keirr is at least somewhat more supportive in this page, but future Keirr is nothing but a prick. ( Page 345 )
Fast forward to chapter 10, we finally see Keirr again, because all of chapter nine was about dumbass Rogio. Ahem. We actually see some progress from Keirr, at least keeping his word to himself. But the odd part is, he brought Raun and not Aira? First of all, Keirr hardly knows Raun and Aira understood the whole situation a lot better than Raun. Soooo.. Odd choice in bringing Raun. ( Would like to add really quick, I know Fraujar assigned Raun to follow Keirr, but why tf would Aira not come either? ) Raun is more dead weight anyway, because he’s being a giant wussy about being in that area anyway. Not even allowing Keirr to scope out the area, completely. And Keirr is just laughing about it, like cmon man, I would imagine you would want to potentially comb through the area, not cater to some giant wuss like Raun. ( Page 458 - 460 )
And to nobodies surprise, the next scene that involves Keirr is a flirty Raun. He tries to encourage Keirr to let loose and have some fun, which would have been cool if it had stayed as a friendship kind of thing. But yet again, Kique force feeds us another MxM ship. At one point, if Kique had kept up with the Rhovanion x Rogio arc that he was hinting at, at some point. All of his main male characters would have been gay. Which is obviously unrealistic, not impossible! But unrealistic. Honestly, I take Raun as a fucking creep. You hardly know anything about Keirr and yet, here he is trying to make flirty gestures and tell Keirr he’s avoiding him. As a woman, to my fellow women, any time a man points out that you’ve been avoiding him, a very creepy vibe showers over us. ( Page 478 - 479 )
Then to nobodies surprise again, Keirr is suddenly able to pin Raun, even though Raun was seen to be a lot stronger than Keirr in his trial. Aaaaand of course, Keirr reciprocates Rauns flirting by responding to him in a sexual manner, “I’m the lead sarv now.” However, in the future Keirr becomes more of an asshole at Raun from this point. ( Page 480 )
Ah now this scene just pisses me off and makes me want to throw Keirr off a cliff. Aira is seen laying around, presumably missing Keirr, I’m sure. Or, just wondering where he went. When she catches sight of him returning, she is understandably excited to see him. The one guy that helped her out with everything, in her worst times. The one guy that made her stop from becoming a beast again.. Shits on her entirely. Eyup, you heard it right. Apparently, getting people totally dependent on you and then being a giant asshole, is something Kique favors doing. Aira of course asks Keirr where he went, Keirr is suddenly acting like the biggest ass to Aira. Which tbh, he has no right doing. HE is the REASON she is there, in the first place. She has EXPRESSED to him NUMEROUS times she is uncomfortable with the tribe, but yet, he took her cries for help and rolled them up and tossed them like newspaper. What a god damn jerk Keirr is. And of course, Aira is understandably upset. Keirr basically told her to fuck off and go make her own friends. Even tho a few chapters ago, he was seen cuddling and holding her, telling her he was there for her. FUCK you Keirr. ( Page 481 - 482 )
In the next scene, Keirr then wants to play a pity party for himself, sitting in the rain, all sad looking. Like he didn’t cause this whole situation for himself. Nothing told this jackass to join Whispervale and stop searching for his family, he did it all himself! So really, why tf is he sitting there acting all depressed? Get off your ass and go look for them! Nobody told you that you couldn’t? Honestly, he’s lucky that Aira still gives a damn about him, even after he treated her like utter dog shit. Then, while Keirr is acting like a baby, Zilas makes an appearance and Keirrs dumbass thinks it’s a grand idea to talk to the ghoul. It’s kind of interesting to me how Zilas is still mostly recognizable.. You would think by now he’d peel his skin off, you know, like what Fjordor said that ghouls do. Zilas has been dead for quite a while. Aira then witnesses all of this and comes to his aid, banishing the ghoul. Keirr then suddenly gets all butt hurt about it and snarls at Aira. Okay, I get it, you’re mourning dude, but I would have figured you’d have some logic / sense to know that Zilas.. IS NOT ZILAS! Keirr even asked the ghoul what he could do, like the damn thing can talk back to him. Honestly, Aira should have just let the ghoul tear Keirr up to shreds and save us all the drama lmfao. And one last thing, when Keirr says he saw that ghoul before, but didn’t recognize it. GIRL WHERE? ( Page 515 - 517 )
Suddenly, Keirr is the master of establishing the differences in the ghouls sounds and can still hear Zilas. Also, when Aira mentions that she lived with the Meteor Tribe, really that opened up way too many questions about her that I’d like to ask. But anyway. Aira gives some speech to Keirr about how MT basically fucked around and found out with the spirits. Then a conversation falls into place about burning Zilas’s body on MT land, which ew, his body im sure would be pretty rotted away by now. But this also brings me to another question, what are the ghouls made of? Are they a manifestation of the soul? They quite obviously can’t be their former bodies, because if that were the case, they wouldn’t even find Zilas’s body, as he would have risen and been a ghoul. Another fat question for this comic and I’m not even sure if this was talked about? ( I’ll be honest with you, I forget if this part was talked about. ) ( Page 518 - 519 )
And here we go with the sexual tension between these two idiots, Keirr and Raun. Raun is a full on creep already, but really Keirr is the big asshole here. Previously, Raun asked him out, as he mentioned before the trip, to Felidae and Aira. So instead of.. Idk, not leading Raun on, what does Keirr do? Hugs him and shares a tender moment with him. Oh trust me guys, it gets fucking worse from this point. And I will continue to say that Raun is a creep, but even he doesn’t deserve to be led on. I also don’t remember Raun asking Keirr out, but I’ll just assume that was yet another important off screen moment. This is also yet another rushed, no chemistry ship crammed down our throats by Kique. ( Page 526 )
So finally we get to the part where they eventually burn Zilas’s body, Aira asks Keirr if he wants to say something and of course! Nothing. It’s almost like any time someone dies in this comic, proper funerals don’t exist. Granted, Keirr just said “I love you, brother.” But when given the opportunity before hand, he was like eh, I don’t have shit to say lmao. ( Page 528 )
Fast forward to a year, I mean 3 months later ( in Keirrs arc ). Of course, in another off screen moment, supposedly Keirr and the others returned to Whispervale and told Fraujar what happened. In my opinion, I feel like some punishment should have been bestowed upon them, or at least show Fraujar being upset with them for doing this behind his back. It would have shown more character from Fraujar and also shown Keirr getting his ass chewed out, by bringing all this unnecessary drama and bullshit into Whispervale. Keirr is also being another nosy ass, listening in on his Jarls discussion. Within the midst of this, Ferah makes her appearance. Keirr miraculously still remembers her and asks what the hell happened. I almost forgot that Keirr and Ferah met previously, because they literally didn’t say anything to each other lol. ( Page 566 - 567 )
Oh boy, here comes the cringiest scene that involves Keirr. Keirr steps away for a moment, after watching Ferah, once Felidae walks in. Ferah wakes up and of course is spooked, cause she doesn’t know wtf is going on. Somehow they both remember each others names, though I don’t remember them ever sharing their names to each other previously. Anyway, Keirr asks Ferah questions about Roamer and Ferah tells him that Ronja and Roamer are at MT. Of course, Keirr gets excited and quite frankly I’m surprised he didn’t smell them before, because Keirr was literally in their territory a few months back, but whatever! Ferah then tells Keirr they’ve both been strong and bla bla. Keirr of course tries to take off, being this annoying problem child as usual. If I were Fraujar I would be so annoyed with Keirr lmfao. Of course you can’t just take off like that, from your tribe, which YOU wanted to join. Raun stops Keirr from running off and what follows after is a recipe for fucking disaster lol. Keirr ends up kissing Raun, further leading the king of creeps on. Keirr KNOWS that Raun likes him, so apparently kissing him out of emotional excitement is a totally normal thing to do. Especially when you know that person has a CRUSH on you and yet you don’t reciprocate it! No, no, it’s totally okay to lead on someone who has feelings for you! ( Page 572 - 576 )
Damn near 100 pages later and we finally see Keirr again. Course, nothing has changed with him. Raun and Keirr are seen in a hut together, Raun is basically asking Keirr what they are, because I mean.. They touched tongues, lmfao. But that was because of Keirr throwing himself at Raun, so really I don’t blame Raun for asking. Now in Keirrs defense, I don’t know why tf Raun is grabbing Keirr like that, when asking him a question, so I mean Keirrs response is a little valid, when he yells at Raun. But the blame still lies with Keirr, because this whole time he has led Raun on, but at the same time Raun has been a giant freaking creep bag as well. They are then interrupted when Keirr walks out and runs into Fraujar, standing there, needing to talk to Keirr. ( Page 640 - 641 )
A few pages later, we see a non emotional reunion between Keirr, Ronja and Roamer. I mean god, all of their expressions are so god damn bland. Y’all haven’t seen each other in months, but let’s just 1,000 yard stare at each other, BEAUTIFUL. ( Page 645 - 646 )
Fast waaaay forwards, to more important scenes involving Keirr. After Rhov and Keirr’s reunion, we are graced with a scene where Rhov and Feaf are telling Keirr that MT might get attacked… This fucking idiot. So instead of putting this whole thing on top priority, Keirr just brushes it off and is like.. I’Ll TeLl FrAuJaR iN tHe MoRnInG. Dumbass, how do you know if they are attacking MT? Feaf literally said they might come to Whispervale? How does Keirr know they aren’t literally waiting in ambush, that very moment? HE DOESNT. So instead of putting his family top priority, like he probably should’ve, he decides to talk about his relationship status. What a great fucking family member / tribe member he is. On top of this, “figuring himself out.” I think you know where you stand, buddy. This whole scene though, Keirr was an idiot. He doesn’t even show the slightest BIT of concern for his family / MT. Let’s act depressed af, because he didn’t know where everyone was, but as soon as he finds them and they could potentially be in danger, ah, let’s wait to warn others till morning! ( Page 788 - 791 )
Finally Keirr and Whispervale show up, but yall are too damn late already. ( Page 808 )
And that about sums up my read along breakdown!
-
- Personality Breakdown
So looking over Keirrs personality traits really gives me some mixed feelings. To be honest, I can’t say that he is independent. Not anymore at least, he was the one that decided he wanted to join Whispervale, he even went against his own independent idea of searching for his family. So for me, he is neither logical, independent OR family - oriented.
A few of these other positive personality traits really haven’t been tested thru the fire, so I can’t really say what he is or isn’t. Mainly because Kique does not focus much on Keirr, like he does with the jackasses of MT and former MT members.
To put it all in perspective though, Keirr was a pretty solid character in Asmundr and in the beginning of Home. Unfortunately, he too fell victim of Kiques weird kinks / fans and became a whole contradiction to himself and his own personality traits.
-
And that is the end ladies and gentlemen! Hope you enjoy :)
𝕊𝕥𝕦𝕡𝕚𝕕 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕪𝕠𝕦 - 𝓅𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝟤 (Fujin x Reader)
Official Masterlist - Part 1
Summary: Raiden is a very clear obstacle when it comes to the expression of love between you and Fujin, but the two of you don't mind tiptoeing around him for the time being. That is, until it begins to weigh on you, and the consequences of you inevitable discovering hung over you.
Word Count: 9k words
A/n: so you guys seemed to like the last part, and I absolutely adored this story so I was really keen on doing a part 2 anyways. Also I didn't mean to make it so long, I just couldn't stop writing T-T.
Warning/s: you guys literally fuck in this (you sickos like that shit anyways).
-
I'm color-coding my moods, You're yellow, I'm natural blue, Let's get together and be green like my insides.
The two of you were reckless together, as if you were two teenagers discovering love for the first time and were experimenting with each other - souls and bodies.
At least I'll match your eyes, Jealous and hypnotized, Let's match our faces and be equally in love.
If you and Fujin weren't busy trying to be socially acceptable and concealing your relationship from his overprotective brother, the two of you were busy stealing kisses and feeling each other up in hidden corners of the Shaolin temples.
Part of you thought it was fun having to be so careful with him - like it was a game, and whoever's ideas got them caught first was the loser.
As exhilarating as it all was though, you couldn't help but feel a sense of discourage knowing that you had to hide your relationship simply because you were a fool, and everyone knew that Fujin was way too good for you.
But, how could you turn down the opportunity to play a little tonsil hockey in the furthest corner of the temple's gardens?
There, the two of you laid on the grassy ground, engaging in a less than godly type of kissing which allowed each of your hands to wonder to places they probably shouldn't have in a public space.
Your hands explored each other's bodies, fuelling the flames of desire. The thrill of the chase and the excitement of being discovered heightened your senses, adding an electrifying intensity to every touch. In those stolen moments, you were fully present, consumed by the intoxicating connection you shared with Fujin.
You felt his hand find it's place to your butt, and you pulled away from the kiss, your breath a little heavy as you spoke.
"...we can't do this here," you told him, noting the way things were beginning to escalate. "Oh? Why not?" he asked, a devilish smirk to his innocent face as his hand fastened where it was. "Because it wouldn't be very flattering if we got caught like this, now, would it?" you asked him, tracing your fingers along his bicep which seemed to be a mistake as it only turned him on just a little more. "We won't get caught, there's no one here," he whispered to you, leaning back in closer to you as his nose brushed briefly against your neck, "if you can remain quiet, that is."
His lips met your neck, and you couldn't help the sigh that passed your lips as you tilted your head back, submitting to his actions. He took advantage of your submission, and sunk his teeth into your soft skin. You gasped at the feeling, lacing your fingers in his hair and giving it a gentle tug.
You surrendered to the overwhelming desire, allowing yourselves to indulge in the passionate dance of entangled bodies and whispered moans. The grass beneath you provided an imperfect cushion, but the discomfort was a small price to pay for the blissful moments shared between you.
His fingers found the cute little buttons of your tight tank top which was designed to be light and easy to kombat in, though still beautiful and a reflection of the culture you were raised in. He began undoing these buttons, there were only three, and he undid them, revealing a generous amount of your cleavage. He reached into your shirt and felt your bare flesh, and as he played with your body, all you could do was relax into his touch and enjoy every bit of toying he did.
The crunching of footsteps nearby alerted the two of you, followed by familiar voices which seemed to be discussing something. You and Fujin were quick to tear away from each other's bodies, fixing yourselves and straightening up before anyone could see you the way you were.
Soon, the group came into sight. It was Raiden, and following him was your friends, Liu Kang and Kung Lao. They seemed to be discussing something rather important, but paused all together when they saw you and Fujin sitting together in the gardens.
As they approached you Raiden's eyes narrowed slightly, his stern expression revealing his suspicion. Liu and Lao, on the other hand, wore expressions of mischief, like they knew exactly what you had been getting up to. Lao made a face from behind Raiden as if to pretend he was kissing the air, and your face flushed a deeper red than it already was. Their presence only intensified the weight of secrecy that burdened your relationship, as they were among the few you trusted with your true selves.
You quickly rose from the grass, attempting to appear nonchalant, though your racing heart betrayed your composure. Fujin followed suit, his eyes darting from one person to another, searching for a plausible explanation.
"Brother, what brings you by the gardens?" Fujin asked, much more composed than you were. "We were discussing the upcoming tournament when we stumbled upon you two," he replied, his voice tinged with suspicion. "It seems we interrupted something." "Not at all, Raiden," Fujin lied, way too easily, as he looked to you, "we were just enjoying the day - the gardens are quite lovely around this time of year."
Raiden's gaze shifted between the two of you, his expression remaining stern but tinged with a hint of concern.
"I hope you both understand the importance of maintaining decorum and upholding the honour of the Shaolin temples," he admonished, his voice filled with a mix of authority and care. "Of course brother, always," Fujin nodded, while you tried not to look toward Lao who was most definitely making more lewd gestures to tease you.
Liu Kang and Kung Lao exchanged amused glances, their lips curling into mischievous smirks. Lao couldn't resist teasing you further.
"Oh, yes, the serenity of the gardens," he said, his voice filled with feigned innocence. "I'm sure you two were enjoying each other's company in a... shall we say, particularly serene manner."
You were bursting with embarrassment, and before you could show any more of this to Raiden, you decided it was best for you to leave.
"Uh, i-if you'll excuse me, Lord Raiden..." you spluttered, intending to walk past him. "(Y/n)," he addressed you, causing you to stop in your place beside him. "Buttons are usually done up."
Your blush deepened once again as you realised what he was referring to, covering your chest with your hands as you ran off in embarrassment. Naturally, as you ran away, you did up the buttons of your tank top, trying to save the little dignity you had left.
It seemed that no matter how careful you and Fujin tried to be, you were always on the verge of being caught. The thrill of secrecy was intoxicating, but it was starting to wear thin.
Once you were out of sight, you slowed your pace and took a moment to catch your breath. Your mind was racing, replaying the encounter over and over again. The teasing from Kung Lao, the suspicion in Raiden's eyes—it all made you realize just how fragile the façade you had built really was.
Finding a quiet spot away from prying eyes, you leaned against a stone wall and let out a sigh. The reality of the situation was starting to sink in. You and Fujin were living in a constant state of secrecy, always hiding your love from the world. It was exhausting, and deep down, you knew it couldn't continue like this forever.
You didn't see anyone for the rest of the day - you didn't want to see anyone, not even Fujin. You weren't mad at him for what had happened, you were just upset that this was the way things were. You were lucky enough that you could confide this stuff in your friends, and that they wouldn't go and mouth off to Raiden about it, providing you somewhat of an emotional outlet so that for the time you spent with them, you could pretend that you weren't a wind god's dirty little secret.
The birth of nightfall was making it's presence on the horizon as you made your way to a nearby waterfall with a towel and spare clothes at hand.
While there were baths in the Shaolin housing, you were one to enjoy the warmth which spring brought, and along with it the refreshing feeling of bathing in the Shaolin waterfalls, known for their magical healing properties.
You undressed and stepped into the cool water, letting it envelop your body and wash away the remnants of the day's events. The waterfall cascaded down, creating a soothing sound that eased your troubled mind. As you immersed yourself, the weight of secrecy slowly lifted, replaced by a sense of tranquillity.
You closed your eyes, allowing the water to caress your skin and rejuvenate your spirit. The colours of the setting sun painted the sky in hues of orange and purple, casting a beautiful glow on the surrounding landscape. In this moment of solitude, you found solace and a chance to reflect on the complexities of your relationship with Fujin.
Being with him was unlike anything you had experienced before. The connection between you was undeniable, and the passion that ignited whenever you were together was intoxicating. But the constant need for secrecy cast a shadow over your love, preventing it from fully blossoming.
The sound of someone approaching alerted you as you covered your body with you arms as well as submerging yourself down to your neck in the water, watching to see who it was that disturbed you at such an intimate time.
Relief washed over you as Fujin emerged from the dense forest which hid this little waterfall away like it were a sanctuary, and your body relaxed once more.
"Fujin, you scared me," you chuckled, looking over at him, "what are you doing here?" "I was looking for you," he told you, standing at the edge of the water, "though I should've known to look here first - I know how you love the water this time of year."
Your face flushed red again as you smiled at his thoughtfulness, the way he retained all these memories of you that you'd otherwise think were useless.
"May I join you?" Fujin asked, cutting through the momentary silence.
You were slightly surprised and taken a back by his request, though how silly would you be to turn down a chance to skinny dip with this gorgeous man.
"...o-of course," you spluttered, "be my guest."
He gave you a single nod with a mischievous smile, beginning to disrobe with not an ounce of shame in his beautiful body. You felt like such a pervert watching him, but you couldn't look away. He took his shirt off, and you couldn't help but admire his chiselled torso, and the way his glowing tattoos complimented his muscly biceps.
He knew you were watching and enjoyed the way he could make you so flustered just by taking his clothes off.
Fujin stepped into the water, causing ripples to dance around his feet. The cool water embraced him, just as it had embraced you moments before. As he waded closer to where you were, the moonlight caught the droplets on his skin, creating a mesmerizing sparkle that made him appear even more ethereal.
You averted your gaze, suddenly conscious of your own nakedness and the rising heat in your cheeks. But Fujin wasn't one to let you off the hook that easily. He moved closer, his eyes fixed on you, and a playful smirk graced his lips.
"Is there something on your mind, my love?" he asked, his voice dripping with teasing.
You crossed your arms over your chest, attempting to hide your vulnerability.
"Just... admiring the view," you muttered, your voice barely audible.
Fujin chuckled softly, his laughter carrying through the air like a gentle breeze. He moved closer still, until he was standing right in front of you. The water now reached up to his waist, creating a barrier between you and the rest of the world.
He reached out a hand and gently brushed a strand of wet hair away from your face. His touch was tender, his gaze filled with an unspoken promise.
"You know, my feather, there's no need to hide. Not from me."
You felt a mixture of emotions coursing through you, the vulnerability of being completely exposed both physically and emotionally. Fujin's words resonated with you, reminding you that he was the one person with whom you didn't need to hide or pretend.
Fujin reached out for you, grabbing your arms and gently pulling them away from your body. He stared down at you, admiring you for everything that you were, body and soul. His gaze was intense, and you could feel it burning through you, but part of you liked that feeling.
He drew you in, placing his hands on your waist as your naked bodies pressed together, allowing you to rest your own hands on his chest as you looked up at him, timid and flustered.
In that moment, with the sound of the waterfall echoing in the background, you surrendered yourself to the vulnerability and passion that enveloped you. Fujin's touch sent shivers down your spine, and the intensity in his eyes ignited a fire within you.
His lips met yours in a gentle yet fervent kiss, his hands tracing patterns along your back, leaving a trail of warmth in their wake. The water embraced you both, creating a sensuous and intimate atmosphere that allowed you to let go of the weight of secrecy.
Lost in the moment, you let your hands explore his body, feeling the sculpted muscles beneath your fingertips. Every touch, every caress, was a testament to the connection you shared with Fujin. There was no need for words; your bodies spoke a language of desire and longing that only the two of you understood.
As the passion intensified, the boundaries between you blurred. The water embraced you both, creating a symphony of cascading droplets and muffled moans. Fujin's lips travelled from your mouth to your neck, leaving a trail of lingering kisses that ignited a delicious ache within you.
Time seemed to stand still as you surrendered to the moment, your bodies moving in perfect harmony. The rush of the waterfall provided a soundtrack to your love, drowning out the world and allowing you to focus solely on each other.
Underneath the waterfall, you and Fujin became one, merging your bodies and souls in a dance as old as time. You felt him move inside of you for the first time, and your body reacted pleasantly to the feeling. He sighed at the sounds you made in reaction to his movements, pressing his fingers into your waist a little harder than he had meant to as the two of you continued this beautiful dance.
Time became an abstract concept as you and Fujin rode the waves of pleasure together. The sensation of his touch, the warmth of his body against yours, and the sound of your mingled breaths filled the space between you.
As the intensity built, you could feel the tell-tale signs of release approaching. It was as if the world held its breath, waiting for that climactic moment where your desires would be met. And when it came, it was a symphony of pleasure, a crescendo of shared ecstasy that left you both breathless and sated.
You held each other, the water cascading around you, as you basked in the afterglow of your lovemaking.
The moment was a culmination of everything you had been feeling and longing for. There, in the embrace of the waterfall, you felt a sense of freedom and intimacy that surpassed any previous encounter. The weight of secrecy and the fear of being discovered were momentarily forgotten as you clung to each other, hearts beating in unison.
Fujin's arms wrapped around you, holding you close, as you rested your head against his chest. The water continued to cascade down, providing a gentle symphony that soothed your weary souls.
"I love you," he whispered, his voice filled with a tenderness that melted your heart. "No matter the circumstances, no matter the obstacles we face, I will always love you."
-
Once again, you found yourself fallen to the ground, courtesy of your opponent yet close friend, Liu Kang, as you two as well as Kung Lao participated in a training session lead by Master Bo' Rai Cho.
It was unusual that you gave in so easily. Even though your peers were considerably stronger than you, you usually put up a decent fight, especially in terms of skill and agility. But today, you simply couldn't focus, not with everything that was happening in your life at that point, secret or not.
As you lay on the ground, catching your breath, Liu extended a hand to help you up. You gave him a cheeky smile, sitting up and grabbing his hand as he pulled you to your feet, habitually wiping away the blood-dirt mix which had formed on your face from repeatedly falling on it like a mother cleaning the food off her child's face.
"Is something the matter, (Y/n)?"
You turned to face your master, the man having called you from his place to the side of the training ring with Lao at his side, awaiting his next turn to kick one of your asses again.
"You seem very distracted," he pointed out, tilting his head in a thoughtful manner, "is something on your mind?"
You took a moment to gather your thoughts, considering whether or not to confide in Master Bo' Rai Cho. While he was a skilled and wise teacher, you weren't sure if you were ready to delve deeper into your feelings regarding the situation. The weight of secrecy was still heavy on your shoulders, and you feared the consequences of exposing your love to others, even when you and Fujin had already confided in the master of your relationship.
"I... I'm just going through some personal issues," you finally replied, opting for a vague explanation. "It's nothing that will affect my training, Master. I'll do better next time."
Master Bo' Rai Cho observed you for a moment, his eyes filled with understanding. He was perceptive, and though he couldn't pinpoint the exact reason behind your distraction, he respected your privacy.
"Very well," he said, nodding. "Remember, (Y/n), it's important to find balance in all aspects of your life. If there's anything you need to talk about, my door is always open."
You gave him a nod, smiling gratefully at his offer as you traded places with Kung Lao and watched as he and Liu sparred. Your knees were drawn up to your chest, and you held your legs timidly, lost in your own thoughts. The training session continued, but your mind remained preoccupied with the internal battle you were facing in secret.
As you watched Kung Lao and Liu Kang engage in their kombat, you couldn't help but feel a pang of envy. They had each other's backs, supporting one another without hesitation. You knew they'd both do the exact same for you - they were awfully protective of you, having treated you like their baby sister since you were all kids. But the camaraderie and trust between them were evident, and it made you long for a similar level of openness with Fujin.
You were startled when you heard someone approach from behind you, spinning your head around only to smile sweetly when Fujin made his presence known.
"Fujin," you greeted, relief flooding through you as you took in his familiar face. "Come to watch us dick around when we're supposed to be training?"
He grinned at your remark.
"It is always a joy watching one of you fall on your face," he chuckled, reaching down and brushing over your face a little with his hand, "and by the looks of it, you were the one who fell on their face today."
You playfully swatted his hand away, a smirk tugging at the corners of your lips.
"Hey now, don't get too comfortable. It won't be long before I'm back on my feet and showing these boys how it's done," you retorted, though the humour in your voice was tinged with a hint of frustration.
Fujin's expression softened as he took in your demeanour. He knew you well enough to sense that something was bothering you, even if you tried to hide it behind your usual banter.
Before he could ask though, your conversation was interrupted by someone.
"Fujin!"
The two of you turned to the voice which had called his name, finding that it was Lao who called for him, and that he and Liu had finished their spar with the likely winner of course being Liu. He was waving at the wind god.
"Won't you come spar with me?" Lao requested, "I'm pretty sure I could take a wind god." "Please," you scoffed, shaking your head, "you'll be down in an instant."
Fujin chuckled at your remark, his eyes twinkling with amusement. He turned his attention back to Kung Lao, considering his friend's offer.
"Very well," Fujin replied, a playful glint in his eyes. "But don't blame me when you're eating the dirt."
Lao grinned mischievously and stepped into the training ring, preparing himself for the impending battle. Liu stepped out of the ring and took a seat beside you, the two of you sharing a cheeky grin between each other. You watched with anticipation, knowing that despite Lao's confidence, Fujin's powers as the God of Wind would be a formidable challenge.
The two kombatants circled each other, their movements fluid and calculated. Lao attacked with a series of rapid strikes, his agility and speed on full display. But Fujin effortlessly dodged and countered, his control over the wind allowing him to evade Lao's attacks with ease.
You marvelled at Fujin's grace and skill, his movements like a delicate dance in perfect harmony with the elements. It was a reminder of why you fell in love with him in the first place. As the spar continued, the air crackled with energy, a testament to the power that Fujin possessed.
Despite Lao's best efforts, Fujin gradually gained the upper hand. He used his wind manipulation to create gusts that disrupted Lao's balance, leaving him vulnerable to Fujin's counterattacks. With a final powerful gust, Fujin sent Lao flying backward, landing on the ground with a thud.
The training session came to a halt as everyone turned their attention to the fallen warrior. You and Liu rushed over to Lao's side, alarmed at the volume of the thud which he made when he hit the ground. Fujin joined you, his expression filled with a mix of concern and satisfaction.
"Lao, are you alright?" you asked, helping him sit up.
Lao grinned up at you, rubbing the back of his head.
"I'm fine, just a little winded," he replied, his voice laced with both admiration and slight annoyance. "Your boyfriend packs quite a punch."
Fujin extended a hand to help Lao up, his expression playful.
"You put up a good fight, Lao," Fujin said, a hint of pride in his voice. "But perhaps you should reconsider challenging a wind god."
Lao accepted Fujin's hand, pulling himself up with a sheepish grin.
"Duly noted," Lao huffed as you brushed him off, like he and Liu frequently did for you.
"Fujin," Bo' Rai Cho cut into the conversation, still at his place from outside of the ring, "your skills are valuable. I would like to see you spar with the other two now, if you'd be so kind. They have been slacking as of late."
"We haven't been slacking!" you defended playfully, punching Lao's arm in a friendly way, "Kung Poa's just a smart-ass." "Yeah, where do you think I learn it from?" Lao teased as he grabbed a hold of you, putting you in a headlock, "(Y/n), king of all smart-assery."
You groaned as he ruffled your hair, and before you could bite him again, Fujin spoke up.
"Sure, Master Bo' Rai Cho," Fujin replied, his voice filled with confidence. "I'd be happy to oblige."
Kung Lao unleashed you from your makeshift prison, and you all stood around, awaiting your master's instructions.
"Liu shall spar with Fujin first," Bo' Rai Cho directed.
As you and Lao stepped out of the ring, Liu and Fujin circled around each other in a challenging way. You knew this was sure to be a decent fight.
The air around them seemed to shift as they faced each other, their focused gazes locked in. Liu initiated the spar with a swift roundhouse kick, but Fujin effortlessly dodged it, demonstrating his agility and speed. He countered with a series of precise strikes, each movement calculated and powerful.
Liu retaliated with a barrage of punches and kicks, his attacks infused with fire as he tapped into his inner power. But Fujin's wind manipulation allowed him to create a barrier that shielded him from the flames, rendering Liu's attacks ineffective.
The spar continued, and the intensity grew with each passing moment. Fujin showcased his perfect control over the wind, using it to enhance his strikes and create whirlwinds that disrupted Liu Kang's balance. Liu, however, remained relentless, his fiery attacks fuelled by his determination.
As the spar reached its peak, the training ring became a spectacle of elemental forces colliding. Gusts of wind clashed with bursts of fire, creating a captivating display of power and skill. The ground beneath them trembled from the impact of their strikes, and the air crackled with energy.
Despite Liu Kang's incredible speed and fire-based attacks, Fujin's control over the wind proved to be a formidable advantage. He maneuvered with grace and precision, countering each of Liu's moves with calculated strikes and gusts of wind.
In a final display of power, Fujin summoned a tornado-like vortex, sweeping Liu off his feet and sending him crashing onto the ground.
Fujin approached Liu Kang, extending a hand to help him up. Liu Kang accepted the gesture, his face covered in a mixture of admiration and exhaustion.
"That was an excellent fight, Fujin," Liu Kang said, panting heavily. "Your control over the wind is truly remarkable."
Fujin nodded, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
"You fought valiantly, Liu Kang," Fujin replied, offering his respect. "Your fire is a force to be reckoned with."
"Excellent work, Liu Kang," Bo' Rai Cho praised his student, shortly after turning toward you and nodding, "(Y/n), it is now your turn."
As you entered the training ring, you locked eyes with Fujin. There was a glimmer of anticipation in his gaze, mirroring your own.
"Don't you dare go easy on her just 'cause she's your girlfriend," Kung Lao shouted from the observation stand, "show that goof-ass no mercy!"
You chuckled at Lao's comment, shaking your head in amusement. You knew he was just teasing, but deep down, you also knew that Fujin wouldn't hold back. He respected your abilities as a fighter and knew you could handle yourself.
Fujin stepped forward, his expression serious but tinged with affection.
"I would never go easy on her," he replied, his voice carrying a playful undertone. "She's more than capable of holding her own."
You grinned at his response, feeling a surge of confidence welling up within you. You had trained hard to reach this point, and you were eager to demonstrate your skills to Fujin, even if it meant facing off against him.
As the two of you circled each other in the ring, you could sense the anticipation building among your friends and Master Bo' Rai Cho. They were all familiar with your determination and your ability to surprise them with your resourcefulness in combat.
The moment arrived, and Fujin made the first move. He lunged forward with incredible speed, attempting to catch you off guard. But you were prepared, swiftly sidestepping his attack and countering with a series of quick strikes. The clash of your blows echoed in the training area, filling the air with the sound of determination and dedication.
Time seemed to blur as you and Fujin engaged in the intense spar. Sweat dripped from your brow, your muscles burning with exertion. But you refused to let fatigue get the better of you. You were fuelled by the desire to prove yourself, not just to Fujin, but also to yourself.
In a burst of adrenaline, you launched a flurry of strikes, each one executed with precision and power. Fujin defended himself with skill, his wind manipulation providing him with an advantage in manoeuvrability. But you persisted, your movements becoming more fluid and controlled.
Suddenly, you saw an opening—an opportunity to land a decisive blow. With a swift and well-timed strike, you managed to land a hit on Fujin, causing him to stumble backward. It was a small victory, but it filled you with a sense of accomplishment.
You thought this was the end, that you had overpowered him and won. However, you were gravely mistaken.
As you let your guard down, he channelled his wind powers, creating a powerful gust that sent you flying backward. You were thrown off balance, and in one swift movement, Fujin reached up and hit you. Now, his intentions were entirely with hitting your chest to knock you back. However, he miscalculated his movement, and his partially curled up fist met your nose. You fell back with a thud, and as you did, a generous amount of blood began leaking from your nose.
Before you could fully regain your senses, Fujin was already by your side, extending his hand to help you up. His eyes held a mix of concern and determination.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice laced with genuine worry.
You nodded, accepting his hand and allowing him to pull you to your feet. Despite the setback, you couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration for Fujin's skill and resilience. He had taken advantage of your momentary lapse and turned the tables on you.
"I'm fine," you replied, a hint of a smile playing on your lips. "That was a good move. You really know how to keep me on my toes."
Fujin's lips curved into a smirk, a playful glint in his eyes.
"Always," he said, his voice filled with a mix of pride and affection. "I wouldn't want you getting too comfortable."
You grinned, trying to look annoyed though anyone could see that you were simply happy to just be in the moment with everyone. Fujin began wiping away at the blood that was pouring out of your nose, wiping that blood onto his own shirt in an affectionate way as he helped you to the observation stand.
"You know it's a healthy relationship when one of you can punch the other in the nose and it's alright," Lao teased, earning a playful glare from you.
You took a seat next to Liu, who handed you a towel to help clean up the blood on your face.
Master Bo Rai Cho turned toward all of you, though he was naturally focused on you at that moment, his eyes filled with a mix of concern and amusement.
"Are you alright, (Y/n)?" he asked, his tone light-hearted but genuine.
"Ahh, she'll be fine," Lao bantered, throwing an arm around her shoulder and pulling her into him roughly, "she's tough. I broke her arm when we were kids and there wasn't a single tear. Psycho hose beast."
You chuckled at Lao's comment, despite the throbbing pain in your nose. You appreciated his light-heartedness and how he tried to lighten the situation.
"I'll live," you replied, dabbing at your nose with the towel. "Just a little battle scar to remind me not to let my guard down."
Bo' Rai Cho nodded, a smile playing on his lips.
"Indeed," he said, his voice carrying a hint of pride. "Remember, every defeat is an opportunity to learn and grow stronger. And you, my dear, have shown remarkable resilience."
You felt a swell of gratitude toward your master. Despite the occasional hardships and challenges, he had always been there to support and guide you, both as a mentor and a friend. His words resonated deeply with you, reinforcing your determination to improve and overcome any obstacles that stood in your path.
As you sat there, wiping away the last traces of blood, you looked around at your friends, each one wearing a different expression. Liu had a mix of concern and admiration on his face, while Kung Lao had a mischievous smirk. And Fujin, your partner in both love and kombat, watched you with an unwavering gaze, his eyes filled with affection.
This. This was what you longed for, to be open with everyone about Fujin, to exist as lovers where everyone could acknowledge and accept. Though, you knew you had a long way before that was ever possible. For now, you would enjoy these moments within this small group, of your two friends, your master, and your lover, and would save your sorrows for when you were alone, not allowing it to taint the perfect atmosphere you were surrounded by.
Fujin squeezed your hand gently, his touch grounding you in the present moment. You turned to him, a soft smile on your lips, grateful for his unwavering presence by your side.
"Thank you for always believing in me," you whispered, your voice filled with sincerity.
Fujin returned your smile, his eyes shining with affection.
"There's never a doubt in my mind," he replied, his voice warm and reassuring. "You are a force to be reckoned with, and I am honoured to stand beside you."
You leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss against his cheek, feeling a surge of gratitude and love for the wind god who had become such an integral part of your life.
"Ew! Get a room you two!" Lao teased, making a fake spewing noise.
You rolled your eyes at the smart-ass, throwing your bloody towel at him.
"Jealous, much?" you ribbed, cocking a brow at him.
Lao feigned offense, dramatically clutching his heart.
"How dare you suggest such a thing!" he exclaimed with mock seriousness. "I'll have you know, I'm perfectly content being one of two third wheel's to your lovey-dovey escapades."
There was a brief burst of laughter amongst all of you, directed at your absolute joker clown of a friend though the atmosphere was undoubtedly loving.
Training concluded for the day, and you all settled for dinner together with empty stomachs, but full hearts. Though naturally, your nagging thoughts would return, as nothing good can last forever.
-
You hated walking the halls of the Shaolin temples on your own, because no matter the time of day, the hallways were always dimly lit only by the little sunlight which made it's way into the buildings. It was spooky, and gave you the creeps, especially when uninvited vermin made noises which would startle you, only convincing you further of the presence of ghosts.
As you hurried through the shadowy corridors, your footsteps echoing faintly, you couldn't shake off the eerie feeling that engulfed you. You quickened your pace, keen to head out to the field to catch some fresh air.
You almost screamed when you felt a hand clasp you wrist from behind you, dragging you into a dark corner of the temple. They clasped a hand around your mouth, and before you could hit them, they revealed themself.
Only Fujin would scare you like that.
You let out a muffled gasp as Fujin removed his hand from your mouth, revealing a mischievous grin on his face. Despite the initial fright, a mixture of relief and annoyance washed over you.
"Fujin! You scared the shit out of me!" you scoffed, crossing your arms, "you know how much walking around here alone scares me." "I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist," Fujin chuckled, wrapping his arms around your waist, "you're so cute when you're frightened."
You rolled your eyes playfully, but couldn't help the slight smile that tugged at your lips. Despite the scare, being in Fujin's arms always made you feel safe and loved.
"Well, I'm glad my terror amuses you," you teased, resting your hands on his chest, "but is there any reason you frightened me here in particular?"
Fujin didn't say anything to this, though his actions spoke much louder than any words could've. The man leaned down and captured you in a lustful kiss, his lips moving against yours with a fervour that sent shivers down your spine. The dimly lit hallway suddenly faded into the background as you lost yourself in the intoxicating sensation of his touch.
His hands roamed your body, igniting a passionate fire within you. The world around you ceased to exist as you surrendered to the moment, your heart racing in sync with the rhythm of your kisses.
With a surge of desire, Fujin lifted you up effortlessly, your legs wrapping around his waist. The coolness of the temple wall pressed against your back as he deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring every inch of your mouth. Time seemed to stand still as your bodies melded together in a dance of passion and longing.
Before things could escalate, however, something always went wrong.
"Brother."
You felt your heart sink to the pit of your stomach at the sound of that voice, Fujin dropping you back to your feet as the two of you turned to face this consequence you had been evading successfully for a good long while.
Though obviously, the jig was up. You were found out.
"What..." Raiden began, lost for words as he looked between the two of you, "...what is the meaning of this?"
You exchanged a nervous glance with Fujin, the passion from moments ago fading into a mixture of apprehension and guilt.
"Raiden," Fujin spoke up, his voice filled with both determination and a touch of regret, "we were meaning to tell you. It's just... it never seemed like the right time."
There was a moment of silence, so thick and tense that one could've cut through it with a blade. Though, no matter how uncomfortable the silence, you didn't want it to go away - you weren't ready to face these consequences, yet here you were. You could feel Raiden's harsh gaze on you, intensely, and you felt as though you were about to implode with how fast your heart was being.
"(Y/n)."
You didn't dare look up at Raiden when he addressed you, only listening to hear what he wanted of you.
"I'd like to speak to my brother in private," he said, firm and harsh in his words, "so I'd appreciate if you left us alone."
You didn't say anything, only rushing away with your head down as you felt tears prick at your eyes. As you hurriedly made your way out of the dimly lit hallway, tears streamed down your face, blurring your vision. The weight of guilt overwhelmed you.
The temple corridors seemed to stretch on endlessly, the shadows elongating and distorting with your turbulent emotions. Finding solace in a secluded spot outside, you leaned against a stone wall and let the tears flow freely. Each drop carried a mixture of remorse, fear, and uncertainty.
-
"Fujin," Raiden began, his voice dripping with anger and disappointment, "I cannot believe you would go against my orders to stay away from her. Does nothing I say mean anything to you?!"
"I told you: love chooses it's own path, and it chose her," Fujin reminded him, his own voice stern though his nature was gentle, "it was only a matter of time."
Raiden's anger intensified as he clenched his fists, his eyes sparking with electricity. He took a step closer to Fujin, his voice filled with a mix of frustration and sorrow.
"Fujin, you know the dangers of personal attachments," Raiden said, his tone sharp. "Our duty to protect Earthrealm comes before our own desires. We cannot afford to let emotions cloud our judgment."
Fujin stood his ground, his expression resolute but tinged with sadness.
"I understand the risks, Raiden," Fujin replied, his voice steady. "But love is not a weakness. It can give us motivation, and purpose. My feelings for (Y/n) do not diminish my dedication to our cause." Raiden shook his head, his disappointment evident.
"You speak of love as if it exists in isolation," Raiden said, his voice laced with frustration. "But love has consequences, Fujin. Consequences that can put us all in danger."
Fujin's gaze remained unwavering as he met Raiden's intense stare. "I am aware of the potential consequences, Raiden," Fujin said firmly. "But I refuse to deny myself the happiness and connection I have found with (Y/n). I believe we can find a way to balance our love and our duty."
"You are a fool!" Raiden shouted.
"No, you are the fool, brother!" Fujin snapped back at him, his gentle nature washing away with frustration. "There is nothing you can do or say that will stop me from pursuing this relationship with (Y/n). I love her, and my feelings will not change to accommodate anyone."
Raiden's anger flared, his fists tightening even more. The air around him crackled with electricity as sparks danced across his body. Though he would not continue this confrontation here, the man turning away from him and storming off elsewhere.
As Raiden turned away and stormed off, Fujin watched him with a mix of sadness and determination. He knew that his actions had strained their relationship, but he couldn't deny his love for you. Fujin had never felt such a deep connection with someone before, and he couldn't imagine his life without you by his side.
With a heavy sigh, Fujin decided to give Raiden some time to cool down before attempting to talk to him again. He understood that his brother was driven by the responsibility to protect Earthrealm, but he believed that love could coexist with their duty. He just needed to find a way to convince Raiden of the same.
-
With your tears easing up, you could feel yourself cooling down. Even so, your emotions were still overwhelming, and you feared the worst when you thought of how this would effect your relationship with Fujin.
Though, as you reflected on the situation, you hadn't yet noticed the menacing presence looming over you until he made himself known by speaking.
"(Y/n)."
You jumped a little, startled when you turned around and saw Raiden, standing a few feet away from you. You quickly wiped away your tears, trying to compose yourself in front of Raiden. His expression was stern, and you could sense the disappointment radiating from him.
Taking a deep breath, you steadied your voice.
"Raiden," you said, trying to keep your voice steady, "I... I'm sorry. I never wanted things to turn out like this. It's just... Fujin and I, we didn't plan for this to happen."
"(Y/n), you will no longer see Fujin." You whipped your head back around at this, shocked at his order.
The words hung in the air, causing your heart to sink further. You couldn't believe what you were hearing. It felt like a heavy blow, threatening to shatter the now presumably weakened connection you had with Fujin.
"Excuse me?" you asked in disbelief.
"Your bond with Fujin is hindering his duties as a protector of Earthrealm," Raiden elaborated, not a single hint of sympathy in his voice, "and because of that, I must ask that you cut ties with him and avoid each other."
"No."
Raiden was taken back by your blunt, harsh response, watching as you stood up from where you were to face him. Though, his stunned state didn't last him very long, as rage overtook him. His eyes flashed with anger as he clenched his fists tightly, sparks of electricity crackling around him. His disappointment turned into a fierce determination to assert his authority.
"You dare defy me, mortal?" Raiden's voice boomed, his divine power radiating with an intensity that shook the air around you. "You have no say in this matter. I am the Thunder God, the protector of Earthrealm, and I will not allow my brother's loyalty to waver because of a mere human."
His words struck you like a physical blow, but you refused to back down. Your love for Fujin was strong, and you couldn't accept the idea of severing ties with him.
"My relationship with your brother is none of your business!" you snapped at him, noting the way a storm began brewing around you, "love is not something you can control or dictate. Fujin and I have found something special, and I won't let you take that away from us!!"
Raiden's expression hardened, his eyes narrowing with a mix of anger and disappointment. He took a step closer to you, his powerful presence dominating the space around you.
"Very well," he said in a low, menacing tone, conjuring electricity between his two hands, "if I cannot convince you, I will force you."
Your face paled when his previously white electricity turned a dark red, and before you could comprehend what exactly was happening, he struck you with his godly powers.
You fell to the ground, crying out and seizing as the electricity commanded of you.
"Yield," Raiden demanded of you as he watched you writhe on the ground before him.
"...n-never," you spat.
As you tried to recover from the blow, Raiden hit you with another shock, causing you to cry out once again, seizing and wriggling in pain.
"Each surge of energy I send through you will be more powerful than the next," Raiden warned her, preparing yet another blast, "submit, or face the consequences."
You coughed up blood as you looked up at him, and though you were in immense pain, a devilish smirk plastered itself to your face, and you spat the blood out.
"...ha...I could do this...all day," you wheezed, a painful chuckle passing your bloody lips.
Another strike hit you, and like he said it would be, it was more intense than the last. You seized uncontrollably, feeling tears prick your eyes though you wouldn't give him the satisfaction of tears.
Just as the pain threatened to overwhelm you, a powerful gust of wind suddenly swept through the area, dispersing Raiden's electrical assault. You gasped, looking up to see Fujin standing before you, his eyes blazing with determination and anger.
As you laid your head down in relief, looking over to the side, you saw that your friends had been observing from afar, staring at you in panicked states though you figured Fujin would've told them to stand back while he took care of this.
"Enough, Raiden!" Fujin's voice boomed, commanding attention. "Fear and control are not the ways of a true protector."
"You dare interfere, Fujin?!" Raiden growled, his voice laced with anger.
Fujin stepped forward, his presence radiating strength and resolve.
"I dare to protect what is right," he declared, his voice steady despite the underlying anger. "Love and compassion are not weaknesses, Raiden. They are the very essence of our humanity."
Raiden's expression contorted with a mix of fury and frustration.
"You have become weak, Fujin," he seethed, sparks of lightning crackling around him. "You let your emotions cloud your judgment."
Fujin's eyes blazed with determination as he met Raiden's gaze.
"No, brother. It is you who has lost sight of what it means to be a protector. True strength lies in understanding and empathy. You must learn to embrace the bonds that connect us rather than seek to control them."
The two gods stood in opposition, their powers crackling in the air, representing the clash between duty and love, control and freedom.
"You will not sway me, Fujin," Raiden spat, summoning a surge of electricity that crackled with dark intensity. "I will show you the power of a true god!"
Without any further hesitation, Raiden struck first, sending forth a barrage of lightning bolts aimed at Fujin. The air crackled with raw energy as the bolts surged through the battlefield, aiming to overpower and subdue Fujin's defenses.
But Fujin was swift and agile, his mastery over wind granting him unparalleled mobility. He gracefully evaded the lightning strikes, dancing through the air with the finesse of a leaf carried by a gust of wind. As each bolt missed its mark, Fujin retaliated with focused precision.
He conjured powerful gusts of wind, directing them toward Raiden. The gales howled, pushing against Raiden's electrical assault, threatening to disrupt and disperse his attacks. The winds swirled around Raiden, testing his control over the elements and challenging his dominance.
Raiden, unwilling to be outmatched, amplified his electrical powers, intensifying the bolts of lightning. The sky crackled with energy as he unleashed a devastating surge, aiming to overpower Fujin's wind manipulation and break through his defenses.
The two godly forces clashed with immense power, their energies creating a dazzling display of light and sound. Bolts of lightning clashed against the powerful gusts of wind, causing explosions and shockwaves that reverberated throughout the battleground.
Fujin pressed his advantage, using his mastery over the winds to control the battlefield. He summoned gusts of air that circled around Raiden, restricting his movement and limiting his ability to retaliate. The once all-powerful Thunder God found himself trapped in the whirlwind, his authority challenged by Fujin's unwavering determination.
With a final surge of wind, Fujin sent Raiden hurtling through the air, crashing into the ground with a resounding impact. The force of the impact reverberated throughout the battlefield, momentarily silencing the chaos.
As the dust settled, Fujin approached the fallen Raiden, his expression softened with a mix of compassion and disappointment. He extended a hand, offering Raiden a chance at redemption and reconciliation.
"Raiden, your power should be used to protect and guide, not to control and suppress," Fujin spoke with firmness, yet a hint of empathy in his voice.
His energy cooled down from red back to it's original white, and Raiden sighed, realising the weight of what he had just done as he took Fujin's hand, allowing him to pull his brother onto his feet.
"I am a fool..." Raiden uttered, looking at his hands which he used to commit a horrid act of violence, "I have allowed myself to become a slave to anger."
Fujin's gaze softened as he heard the genuine remorse in Raiden's voice. He placed a reassuring hand on Raiden's shoulder, offering him solace and understanding.
"We all stumble along our paths, Raiden," Fujin replied, his voice filled with compassion. "What matters is how we learn from our mistakes and strive to make amends."
Raiden nodded, a mixture of gratitude and shame etched on his face. The brothers stood together, their differences momentarily set aside in favour of a shared commitment to restore balance and rectify the damage that had been done.
Liu Kang and Kung Lao were quick to rush to your side, helping you up into a sitting position as they assessed your state.
"(Y/n)? Are you alright??" Liu asked, cringing when you coughed up a little more blood.
You mustered a weak yet cheeky smile, trying to reassure them despite the pain coursing through your body.
"I've had worse," you boasted, Lao sighing as he wiped the blood away from your face affectionately. "Right, worse being all of your painfully embarrassing moments where you make a fool of yourself," he teased, wiping the blood on his hand onto your shirt, "I still get second hand embarrassment thinking about any of those moments."
You chuckled softly, wincing at the pain but appreciating the lightened atmosphere his teasing brought even in such a dark situation.
"Hey now, those moments make life interesting," you retorted, playfully nudging Kung Lao's arm. "Besides, you've had your fair share of embarrassing moments too, my friend."
Kung Lao raised an eyebrow, a mischievous grin forming on his face.
"Oh, really? Care to give some examples?" he challenged, enjoying the banter.
You laughed, a hint of fatigue evident in your voice. Though before you could fill him in on his challenge to you, the three of you were approached by Fujin and Raiden.
The thunder god had an apologetic look plastered to his face, and naturally it was for you
"(Y/n), I am deeply sorry for what I've done," Raiden spoke, his voice tinged with guilt. "You did not deserve the pain I inflicted upon you, nor did I have the right to interfere with your relationship. Please, accept my apologies."
You looked into Raiden's eyes, seeing the genuine remorse and sincerity in his words. You could feel the weight of his apology, and you knew that he was truly sorry for the pain he had caused.
"Thank you Raiden, your apology means a lot to me," you croaked, holding your stomach as you spoke.
Raiden looked between you and Fujin, acknowledging the relationship between you for the first time in a positive light.
"My brother is truly an amazing deity," he praised, placing a hand on Fujin's shoulder, "I was ridiculous to believe that there was no room in his heart for balance, and for that I am sorry. You needn't hide yourselves away from me anymore. I will not criticise you for something that is truly beautiful." "Thank you, brother," Fujin added, resting his hand on his brother's arm as they shared a sentimental moment between them.
Considering you were injured quite a bit from the electric damage inflicted on you, Fujin decided in that moment that it was definitely best to tend to your wounds.
He decided to excuse himself from everyone as he knelt down beside you, scooping you up in his arms bridal style before standing back up and carrying you away to somewhere the two of you could have privacy, so he could heal you.
Even though you were in immense pain, you had never been happier and more relieved. The weight of secrecy had been lifted from you, and you were free to do as you pleased with your lover.
What clubs, teams, and other extracurricular everyone is in/will do?
Associated Reading: Past Extracurriculars!
Kai: Kai's only extra thing was temporarily being on the track team his first year, which ofc he quit when he dropped out. Doesn't take up anything new rn due to having his hands full with looking out for Lloyd (and just trying to get through school in one piece), but might get back into track for his final year.
Jay: Is still trying to make Robotics Club a legitimate thing, but until then, Sunni manages to talk him into getting back into doing science fairs (which also feeds into his upcoming extra credit project upupu). Might wind up doing Quiz Bowl or something similar in his last year too, if I'm feeling spicy.
Cole: Was into sports until The Dodgeball Incident, and doesn't take up anything new because a) he hates school, b) it's his last year anyway and c) most of his extra time will taken up by his part-time job at the Rockshot Club (does that count as a club? lol). Sometimes thinks about joining the art club, climbing club, or a dance club, but is lowkey afraid of how he'll be received. Might be able to be talked into doing climbing as a last hurrah, at least.
Zane: Obviously is on the student council, and is a member of the archery club (which has been mentioned in passing a time or two!) and the chess team. Probably would join more stuff if he could/wanted, but being on the Student Council (and the cold reception he receives) is already intimidating enough.
Nya: Also obviously on the council, would join every club if there was enough time in a life, but for now councilwork and her future job at the autobody shop takes up most of her extra time (thank goodness). ...Don't tell her a Debate Team exists, please. (Also might rejoin gymnastics down the line, should the opportunity arise)
Lloyd: The Green Ninja doesn't have time for such frivolous things, tch. ...that being said, his presence as a band member might lead to shenanigans in the future hgffgdd (buuuut he might join archery alongside Zane down the line, since while his bow and arrow skills are pretty good courtesy of his mother, he can still use the extra practice)
Jesse: Beyond councilwork, does not have anything extracurricular due to his job working at his family's place (and eventually furthering his career as a performer), buuut with the former being out of commission rn due to Great Devourer Aftermath, he's got some free time to spare...maybe by joining in on a little ninja training at a certain dojo? (He also was in choir but had to quit because he was too good. The music teacher still mourns his loss.) Might join the theater club for his final year.
Antonia: Beyond councilwork, is/will also be: in the newspaper club, on the yearbook committee, in photography, on the cycling team, on the swim team, runs a very informative blog, and yoga club. She gets up to a lot when not keeping up with ninja or keeping her best friend(s) in one piece hfdfdfghd
Harumi: Right now is just focused on her councilwork, but over the years she also gets into: VOLLEYBALL, National Honor Society (or the Ninjago equivalent), tutoring, history club, math league, debate club, martial arts, occult club, and AP classes...She and Antonia are out here doing the most.
Olivia: Has phased out of her extracurriculars due to the Shark Army being an active threat again, but was in the occult club and the dnd-equivalent club. Also probably should not be told about the Debate Team.
Miranda: Nerd. Pioneers a social media club, eagerly joins Jay's fully realized robotics club down the line, joins the soccer and ping pong teams, and does film club, a coding/website-making extracurricular (easy for her with her hacking skills), anime/manga club, and a graphic design club.
Sunni: Does science fairs like Jay, but also joins the student council cabinet after Zane graduates (Nya becomes Prez, Jesse becomes Vice Prez, and she slots in as the new secretary), partakes in spelling bees, charity work, volleyball (at least for one year, just to try it–she's not very athletic otherwise), tutoring, science bowl, and photography. Just, not all at the same time.
Harleigh: Is not academic smart whatsoever, but finds ways to flaunt her skills in other ways such as: jewelry-making club, fencing team, swim team, and the ceramics club. Also attempts volleyball but only because Sunni is there
