Was going back through some older works that are canonical (or mostly canonical) to The Fallen White Doors, and reread this one for the first time in a long time. It's way more upsetting given recent chapters of TFWD which shouldn't surprise me because I *intentionally planned it* but hey memory loss means I get to surprise myself.

Anyway, if you're following TFWD, I highly recommend giving this a read, because it will make the last several chapters all the more upsetting and vice versa.

Mind the tags. There's nothing super explicit, but could be triggering.
