Imagine bullying your sister's ex-boyfriend into letting you & your friends into the movies for free because her current boyfriend quit his job at the theater to work at the newspaper with her.

As someone who was unable to dust her entire room for the entirety of the kitchen reno, kiddos, I beg thee: Dust your stuff at least once a month. Weekly if you can manage it but once a month at least. I'm dying. I've never sneezed so much in my life. No wonder I couldn't breathe well even after the "heavy" stuff was done.
Also open your blinds during the day. This isn't a mental health thing this is a "UV light can help kill bacteria" thing.

actually i want to go into detail about this there is something so interesting about transmigrator/system as a ship.
because the system is not a god, not really. the system is made by someone else. the system (usually) cannot truly control the transmigrator except through threats of force or through manipulating other beings or set-pieces in the story itself.
often the transmigrator is portrayed as like, at the mercy of the system but they're not any more at the mercy of the system than a main character is at the mercy of the romantic lead in a dark romance. that threat is intrinsically human in some ways. the main character could overpower them. they could outsmart them. the system cannot strip the transmigrator of their free will.
the system's inability to truly control the transmigrator or their actions makes the relationship between these two entities a unique stalemate. it is two demigods at war. it is two people just trying to survive by tearing each other apart.
it is the unstoppable force and the immovable object and that's kinda sexy tbh

TW: just talking about a bunch of awful stuff, if you aren't ok with stuff like people not respecting gender identity and just don't feel like seeing that, then maybe don't read this and scroll. hope your having a great day!
the fact that people are totally fine with not respecting someone's gender identity if they do something bad is just, upsetting, like why do you just decide to stop calling someone what they want to be called the second you don't like them? what does that say about you? do you think someone's identity should only be respected if the person is atleast decent?
like for example chris chan, a fucked up person who did fucked up things and should not be respected at all, of course, however, to go ahead and use the fact she is an awful human being to not respect her gender identity and her pronouns because you claim she's "delusional and doesn't know what she's talking about" (I am not refuting that here, this is just an example) along with the fact she's an awful human being to dehumanize her and misgender her.
which is just, well, utterly gross and awful, I don't care if someone can literally just not tell the difference between fiction and reality and experiences constant hallucinations or something, that does not matter, it's not that hard to call someone by the name they want to be called by, and the pronouns they want to use. I do not care at all, even if they change what gender they identify as constantly, I do not care, you can and should respect their decisions with what they want to be called.
and onto the not respecting people's gender choices because they do horrible shit, do you do that with non trans/non-binary people? no you fucking don't you respect the fact that they are what they say they are and respect that, you don't just refer to someone as a thing because you don't like them, and if you do, what the fuck is wrong with you?
so yes, I don't think you are truly an ally if you don't also extend the courtesy of respecting someone's choices in self expression just because you don't like them are because they are insane, because where do you draw the line? and why is there a line drawn, why is it that when a trans person does something awful and terrible, instead of just critiquing and criticizing them you also seek to dehumanize them and ignore who they say they are?
cause honestly, you can be fucking great as a person, you really can, but if you don't respect people's choices of self identity just because you don't like them, that says alot about you, and none of it good.
the worst part is when fellow trans/non-binary people do it like we all know how it feels to be dehumanized and disrespected for just who we choose to be, I've had trans friends misgender someone because they didn't agree with them and honestly, while I think these people really fucking suck and shouldn't be liked, not respecting someone's gender isn't doing anything aside from needlessly dehumanizing someone and instead of actually saying something about what they did and hating them for that, you just misgender them because you don't think people should decide for themselves what they want to be called if they suck.
now of course you can call people awful people but just de-legitimizing their gender identity because they did something you don't like is literally the same thing anti-lgbtq people do, just in this case instead of everyone, you just do it for people you happen to not like.
so honestly, maybe do respect that person's pronouns, it's not hurting anyone, but not respecting them is.
TLDR:
we shouldn't dehumanize and de-legitimize people's gender identity just because we don't like them and it's just a dick move that makes it worse for everyone since people can just say things like "well I don't like them so I'm going to misgender them" and even if that person is awful, it's still a slippery slope that can really hurt alot of people
oh yeah if you read this far, are you ok? do you need some help? is everything alright?
also I hope you having a great day, I just needed to get this off my chest
(also yes, with everything there is nuance and if you read the actual post I did acknowledge that and talked about it)

Sometimes I wish we would start calling out the performative radicalism on this site for the poser bullshit it is. "Remember, it's always morally correct to kill a cop!" "Don't forget to firebomb your local government office!" "Wow, it sure would be a shame if these instructions on how to make a molotov cocktail got spread around!"
Okay. But you're not killing cops or firebombing government offices. You are posting on a dying microblogging website to a carefully-curated echo chamber that has radicalized itself into thinking that taking the absolute most extreme position on any subject is praxis but that anyone discussing the most practical way to effect actual change is your sworn enemy. You do not have the street cred OR the activist cred to be talking about killing cops, babe.

she's singing in another room and my dog is asleep at my feet. my grandma asked me why i haven't found a man yet and i laughed. oh, you know. i like my house clean.
my girlfriend is also my man is also "my partner" if i'm in a professional setting. yesterday we went to a ren faire and a man mimed at me - you're together? and at my delighted nod, his baffled, you're gay? made me laugh. a woman with rainbow hair said i love the two of you together. you're both so beautiful it's absurd.
my dad introduced my partner as my "..... friend. or whatever" the other day. he knows we're dating. in the same way, i was never able to get my sister's husband to stop saying that's gay like it's 2008. he still uses the word fa***t, and my sister's defense of him has always been well, he's just kidding.
my lover and i dance to old music in a tiny kitchen. we judge new music together and take food critique very seriously. we watch love is blind before we fall asleep and agree that if they had a queer season, it would be bloody but also make for excellent tv. of fucking course queer people would know someone for only 2 weeks and agree to get married. what are you saying.
at a bar with friends, a man puts his hand on my wrist. got a boyfriend? and yes, i do have a boyfriend, she's amazing. i am texting her while i wander around a gas station named after geese. i am visiting a swing state for a wedding. in the candy aisle i overhear: she's actually like a lesbian it's disgusting. two teenage girls with packaged sandwiches in their hands, giggling. no literally, like. i'm not, like. okay with her being there while we're all, like, naked and changing.
my girlfriend and i tailgate, drink gin and cider out of cups. from the frat group beside us, a man corrects himself with one of his friends: bro, i mean, nonbinary entity, and it makes everyone around him laugh, myself included. he razzes his friend the same way i would have killed for at 19 years old - like nothing happened, he continues: you apply sunscreen like an alien. he does a little sassy (and fairly accurate) dance interpretation of the motion. his friend is laughing so hard they're crying.
i am lucky, i live in a safe neighborhood in a safe state. my masc passenger princess comes up from DC. i drive her for an hour to where all the leaves are a violent arrangement of color. we walk along the trails, letting autumn into our blood. in this part of the state, there's a lot of pickup trucks and trump signs. when we chastely kiss before getting into the car, i accidentally make eye contact with a woman holding her child's wrist. she looks disgusted. she looks fucking pissed.
two hours later my girl and i are eating dinner on a patio, soaking in the last warmth of new england sun before the chill of winter sets in. we are giggling and trying to talk through plastic vampire teeth. at another table, i see a young woman sit up straighter. i watch her watch us. she blushes and takes her partner's hand from across the table. shy, like the taste of evening has just become something deeper.
it's worth it for this moment, i think. my lover is still humming the same song she's been singing for four days straight and i don't want to kill her for it. her guitar is beside my bed. her toothbrush is in my bathroom. in a few moments i will make us lunch. we are lucky enough to have found each other. it is lucky enough to be in love.
#writeblr#wlw#i often think about like.....#being happy in a gay relationship is sometimes so odd#bc u can forget how stupid ppl are.#bc ur so USED to being gay. and u forget other people GENUINELY ARE homophobic#so it's like. girl pardon?????#but also there are moments where it's like. ohhh the kids are alright#like watching someone razz someone else.... so fucking wholesome#“lemme get this bitche's pronouns before i make gentle fun of them” .... i would have KILLED for that.#THAT is how u know ur accepted#not just tolerated#..... when ppl are like. sure ur nonbinary congrats but WHAT is this fucking sunscreen application#ps idk if "razz'' is a real word but someone asked what it means -#i've always heard it as being a term for 'gentle & friendly teasing'' which like#i personally notice more from my guy friends but is like - when a person isn't#LIKE ACTUALLY teasing u (it's nothing personal/mean) they're just laughing w/you about something#my friends often put on a little voice and call me an anemic little bitch#like 'ooooo the anemic little bitch is cold??? does she need a mouse blanket#bc she's SOOOO SMALL AND ANEMIC???''#and it doesn't hurt my feelings (it makes me laugh very hard) bc 1. i actually called MYSELF that first#and 2. i'm not sensitive about it!!!#a proper razz is when you are ALSO in on the joke - i ALSO think it's funny#for some people i personally find that when they razz u it's when they love u -#they've noticed something genuine about u and love u enough that u know they're not being mean#this is cultural and personality based of course but i'm hispanic#if someone isn't making fun of me it means they hate me . obviously.

"AO3 doesn't need a "dislike" button"
Um, actually, it already has one. Depending on your specs, it might look a little different but over all it looks kinda like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can find it at the corner of your screen, which corner is dependent on your layout.
Anyway, if you dislike a fic, you can hit this Dislike Button until the fic goes away. It really is pretty amazing actually.
