Weve established that mako mermaids and h2o have... conflicting lore to put it lightly but what are some ways to fixit fic the two together? Grew up in a gaeltacht region in galway (like Connemara type) so shes fluent(ish) in irish (i literally wish so bad)

Her parents were STINKY and were super mean, like, abusive and shit, it wasnt great for my girl

Went to a #catholicallgirlschool so naturally was bullied asf so she REALLY wasnt having fun

Had one friend who is yet to be named and they hung out together all the time, did a bunch of stuff like pierced eachothers ears, got

tatoos, burned shit, mostly illegal stuff (this is how she got arrested)

Sam and her friend would always talk about running away to Canada, it was their dream, but before they could her friend had to move away to a bording school in Dublin

This affected Sam BAD and caused her to go into a horrible space mental health wise and ultimately caused her to run away

When she got to Canada, she had stolen and exchanged a bunch of her parents money (cus she doesnt care about them and hates them) and bought the absolute cheapest place she could. A two room (kitchen/living/bedroom + sperate bathroom) apartment in Uranium City

She enrolled herself in the local school in a very illegal and fake fashion and took a uniform from lost and found cus ofc she did

She stayed low mostly in school until she met a certain Ukrainian "bad boy", Mischa Bachinski and they became the besties ever

They did most of the stuff she did with her old friend, but this time she was having more fun and felt more free due to not living with her parents and not being in that stupid ass school

Her and Mischa bonded over missing their countries (despite the horribleness Sam faced there, she still misses Ireland a whole heap) and she is the only person who believed Talia is real

Sam ends up in choir because she helped Mischa steal the wine and they sit in the back on Mischa's phone playing games, texting Talia (when they could, yk, timezones), taking dumbass selfies, etc

Mischa helped her become herself a lot more and she loves him like a brother and will kill anyone who speaks against him or hurts him. They both agreed if they ever met eachothers parents it would be on fucking sight

Ocean fucking hates Sam. Cant stand her. She thinks its insane how little she cares about school and is dumbfounded by her punk ideologies (she cant wrap her around head it, shes a little silly <3) She rants to Constance about how she needs to care more and Constance just nods and pretends to listen meanwhile she's in awe of her bravery to be herself and get away from her home.

Noel ends up taking a liking to her because he talks to Mischa sometimes but they dont really interact.

Mischa thinks shes "madwickedawesome" and "the dopest person ever, yo!!" He is the only person who knows about her old friend and the fact she had bad parents, but barely knows the half of it. He encourages her to be who she is and Sam loves him so much, theyre so bestie I cant

Ricky wishes he could talk to her because he also thinks shes pretty cool, but obvously he cant :(( She talks to him sometimes, which he appreciates, but its mostly just complaining about Ocean being annoying in choir when she tells her to get off Mischa's phone

On the day of the accident, her and mischa wander off most of the time, going on some of the rides, but staying off somewhere else most of the time. They come back to ride the cyclone because everyone else is and they both agree rollercoasters are fun.

In the afterlife, she stays talking to Mischa mostly, but begins to talk to Noel and Ricky too.

Her and Ricky end up bonding over cats cus theh both love them, and she hypes him up like crazy after SABM with Mischa

She is infatuated with Jane Doe and thinks shes cool as fuck, even if shes also pretty creepy, and tries to talk to her sometimes

Her song is...something. it starts off with her refusing to sing and Karnak being like "you have to" and begins to force a song onto her. Its chaotic and not at all how Sam wants, being a bit like TSIA.

Sam eventually is like "fine, I'll sing, but Im doing it my way you fucking bitchass machine" and her song is about being conflicted with herself, loving being open about being punk and doing all her illegal stuff, but she loves writing and poetry, something shes never told anyone even Mischa. She sings about feeling like she's always been doomed to be unhappy, always be unsatisfied with her life and missing Ireland despite her horrible life there.

She opens up about her shit parents and her old friend and after her song Mischa gives her a big hug and its cute asf :c

She, after the song, becomes more like her true self and the other choir members are all like "dam shes fucking deep" which she enjoys quite a bit

She bullies tf outta Ocean the whole time, but during its not a game she holds her hand and smiles at her for like the first time ever

Sam also talks to Connie in the afterlife and tells her to drop Ocean etc

Her and Ocean are like siblings, Sam fucking hates Ocean but if someone is rude to her the next day that person shows up with a mysterious black eye

RAHHHH GNAWING. AT THE BARS IF MY ENCLOSURE RIGHT NOW!!!1!!!! i was hoping someone was actually interested in what i was saying cuz sometimes posting on here feels like talking to the wall. this is gonna be like really long sorry, you dont have to read it

ANYWAYS YES. So me and a couple other people went up to the north of ireland for a few days which was so so awesome sauce because i love drives. see i never say long drives because once someone got needlessly mad at me for calling it a long drive and started indirect posting about me but 4 hours is like the longest you could drive from one place to another here. so. its long for me kind of (ignoring my copious weeks-long US roadtrips)

we got to the place where we were staying at, the beds were so uncomfy think i wouldve slept better on the floor tbh BUT it's fine. we went to the shop because everything is like cheaper there and i got this blanket with ghost dogs on it for my dog cuz he likes covering himself in a blanket when he sleeps, its really cute so i had to get him a new blanket. then we tried to go out for dinner but told us we werent allowed in to the place we booked the day before because no minors were allowed in at that time like lad put that on your damn website then 🙏🙏 so we ate the random snacks we had bought earlier in our room, which was kind of way too delicious

DAY 2?!?!

We went to the Titanic museum cuz i like history and raujerng um it was fucking awesome, some of the workers there spoke irish which was so cool, i took some photos of stuff and i learnt so much about the titanic that i didnt know about. I also cried in the middle of one of the exhibits because i realised just the sheer amount of people who died and. yeah. but nah it was a great experience

then we went to some shitty science museum cuz it looked cool on their website but we were the oldest people there everyone was like FIVE. so we left quickly.

Then we went on a walk and it was super duper pretty, we also went swimming there, sea swimming my favourite thing EVER!! did some diving off the rocks, realy enjoyed that

For dinner we went to this like dinerish thing, it was really cool and the food was so tasty, we didnt get kicked out of this place (fuck yeah) I tried dumplings for the first time and they were actually really good like i didnt think i would enjoy them but yeah! i also got strawberry lemonade which i thought i didnt like for whatever reason but now ive tried it again i do!

DAY 3?!?!?

last day cuz i have school soon. SO we woke up super late and totaly overstayed but like womp womp owners didnt give a single shit. We went to the 2nd hand book shop where i got The Great Gatsby, Batman The Dark Knight, Lost in Translation, and even more than i showed so i also got Will Grayson Will Grayson, Catching Teller Crow, The Honest Truth and Wayward. They were all like 2 pounds which is so good cuz every book is atleast 11 euro back home cuz idk they dont like doing 2nd hand bookshops down there for some reason. Then we went to the vintage store where i got my postcards cuz i loveeee collecting old postcards with messages on them, the 1958 one is now the oldest postcard i own and its SO COOL LIKE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, im actually so happy i found it. Also got those 2 ceramic guys, the hippo and the bunny, if you got a name suggestion JJ let me know cuz i havent named them yet. Then we got on the road back home where we listened to shitty drill rappers and irish rebel songs all the way back

Shout out to my fellow singlets with "innerworlds/headspaces" (quotation marks as im not sure this is the correct term for a singlet to use!).

A long description of my inner world and the way my brain works is found below....

I am a maladaptive daydreamer and autistic and i have a very detailed inner world / worlds / universes that i interact with very often. I call mine my inside brain. I visualize it as a world in the center of my brain (if all brain functions were on the outer shell, this world is inside like a bubble). It is infinite. It has layers and depth and it can be zoomed in and out to different parts of it. It can also be "swiped" to a different world (i have two main ones) as well as there being many alternate versions of each world. They grow and change with me and what i need most at that time. I only interact with one main one these days but i keep the old one there, in ruins, to remind me of where ive been and how that part of me is now gone and i have a new inner world now. I also have the mind palace (inspired by bbc sherlock) which is on the edge of my "brain" and "inside brain" where i store all important things such as memories and facts in filing cabinet rooms, and there i can project the memories onto the "inside brain" to watch them the same way i watch the characters in the inside brain!!!! Its great fun honestly and has pretty much saved my life as it gives me a safe space no matter where i am. All i have to do is dissociate and go in there and im safe from harm :3 it also helps with academics because the mind palace has a black board room and a few visualizing rooms that i can do math on and picture any words ive read in respectively.

Its very hard to explain how i interact with this "inner world" because i am a singlet and its just me (and my characters who are like dolls, i control everything they do and say and how they look and act etc etc) in there. Its not like a hallucination, its entirely in my head and i watch from different angles like from the perspective of a movie camera. And i can still see the world around me when im in there. Id describe it like dreaming while awake but i am in full control, so its a daydream really, but in the same space every time and its a very detailed world.

My inner conscious is also in there. His name is Harri. His appearance and personality is who i want to be and how i want to look and his voice is how i want to sound, but he does have a different life to me such as he is Australian American and is adopted, and he has hEDS, which I do not have (but many of my family members do). Idk if its weird that he has a disability i dont have but he just does, thats not something i chose, he just started appearing with braces and a crutch and i was like oop- okay then 🤣 yeah anyway Harri is a cool dude idk, hes 38 and hes like my best friend. He replaced the guy from my old inner world who was called Bill (he was technically just Bill Weasley but i changed him so much he was really an OC) but then things got bad with Bill and i had to start a nuclear war in that headspace to get rid of everything a start a new world.....my brain is weird.

Anyway I love my brain, I have to be careful to make sure I dont have a repeat of the Bill situation, but I avoid it by using only OCs and changing the story often so i dont get too sucked in to anything specific and start becoming delusional and dysphoric about not being a 50 something year old ginger wizard from Ireland- yeah.....that happened. I also started having memories of things that happened to him (which was not good because he had a very violent life) and becoming triggered when watching HP movies because I would remember being abused by certain characters 😬

Nowadays i know how to control my mind better so it stays safe most of the time! But yes that is my brain and my innerworld lmao, feel free to share your own experiences (both singlets and systems!!)!

Also bonus fact: my innerworld was actually my special interest for about 3 years? It was hard to explain so i said my spin was harry potter but it was actually my inner world that was based off of harry potter lol

asking for help from fellow eu ppl on my dash - jobs, studies, place to live.

apparently the """easiest""" way for yasmin to get a swedish spouse visa would be if both of us leave sweden for 6 months, live in another eu country together as a married couple, and then when we re-enter sweden theres apparently a eu law thing that forces sweden to give her a spouse visa since we were already living together in another eu country. (so this is a legal way for poor ppl to get around the money requirement of the regular swedish spouse visa.)

problem is, it means finding a job or uni studies in another eu country so we can move there. we have no savings, no money. either of us could get a job and then move together, if we found a job (i have basically no resume and no degree, but i am an eu citizen so i dont need a work visa, therefore could theoretically do simple work if im able within my handicap - yasmin prob needs a specialist work visa using her design degree).

uni studies would only work if its free for me in that country (eu citizen), then i could potentially study something for 6 months, and hopefully get student money from the government to pay for food (and we need to find a place with cheap rent). in general this whole concept is really difficult when youre as poor as we are (aka barely money for food rn).

if anyone of you knows that its free for me (eu citizen) to study in your country and if you could help me with finding potential uni classes and a place for us to live for a few months, and help with other questions/info about the moving process, please let me know.

if anyone has tips on jobs yasmin could apply for in your eu country, pls let us know - stuff like concept artist or other related to illustration, design, graphics. (since shes not an eu citizen your country might require her job to be specialist to get a work visa, aka use her design/art skills.) and if you could help us with questions and information about the move and finding a place to live as i said above, pls let us know too.

i really wish we lived in a world where someone of you just happen to have an uncle who runs a farm and could pay me minimum wage to help out at the farm for 6 months, bc i could do that. but those kind of things are impossible to find. i really dont know if we can succeed with this eu spouse concept, but im just trying to look into it as much as i can bc we have so few options.

the easiest option rn would be if she gets a job with her degree in finland bc its nearby and i dont even need to do anything as a nordic citizen, i can move there no questions asked. and then we would be in a eu country together + i dont have to push my disabled health to work hard + its easier to move there bc its close. but we're gonna try to look into all eu countries, even if nordics (easy move for me) or germany (i speak some german) or ireland (since we both speak english) are the most convenient options.

ok so thomas england is DEFINITELY one of the players who i imagine as part of the Prehistory Fridays Gang. so first he was around for everything in prehistory (along with fletcher berger, sebastian diaz and his partner, erickson hendricks, rhonda elliott, our lady of perpetual friday, fenry marlow and their dog homer, fitzgerald massey, jessi wise, and mrs silk who was then miss silk. and then also baby york and his dad parker, who was dating miss silk. obv not all of these people were necessarily fridays players at the time though maybe they worked behind the scenes). so THAT was a whole thing.

honestly part of the problem of being LITERALLY retconned out of the game is nobody remembers you anymore. thomas england was only around long enough to get joke lore, we were only really just starting to flesh out relationships between the players when he got incinerated, and he didnt get any of that. and what adds to this problem is, well in the fridays style of lore, we dont necessarily think about what a player does outside of blaseball, or at least we DEFINITELY didnt early on (and didnt get ANY new entirely unlored players until relatively late af in the game — so like, after sixpack on s4d86 our next two were fenry and yass statter jr in the s13 and s19 elections respectively). so as a result there isnt any kind of a precedent to fall back on for what i think about what he did?

but here's what i DO know;

i disagree with the wiki on this one: neither of his parents are from the UK (there is no way). i like to think like, at least one of his parents is native, and hes lived there his entire life

Recently treated myself to some cool stuff cus im in the positiin to afford it rn and also in celevration of getting a new job!! Im so happy i get to work as a barista!!

I first got some coffee syrup and oat milk like a few days ago cus i was getting bored of my normal coffees, i was trying to get pumpkin spice but the only bottles there were really huge an expensive and i didnt need that much so i just got cinnamon and vannila

I also found boba at tkmax abd was like right your coming with me (i have the ingredients to make my own but sometimes i just dont wanna go through the effort) also got some reusable straws for boba because i have. None.

And today i got myself one of those cool bags with the see through pockets so u can like display ur pins and plushies (its green :)) because i never put on my pins for fear of losing them so yippee!!! Ill make an insert for it so i dont have to deal with losing the backs in the bag

And then lastly... the star of the show...

LOOK AT HIM!!! 🥺🥺🥺 got the bag and charm from etsy just waiting for it to arrive, ill show a mockup of the display and such when it all arrives!!

Im a bit sad abt etsy bcus i havent used it in ages and they have this new thing where mass produced stuff from big factories (like similar to people who sell on aliexpress) have found their way in. It used to be so much easier to find individual artists local to me but now i have to dig through a whole page of paid ads from bigger companies to get to the individual artists :( i know etsys been going downwards for a while but i didnt realise how bad it got

1. Are you named after anyone?

nope! although my dad used to claim that i was named after some slavic actress/model/wife-of-Some-Guy whose name i always forget

2. When was the last time you cried? Why?

the weekend before the last, just your average sunday afternoon mental breakdown

3. Do you believe in Soulmates? 

sort of, but also not really? i do believe that there are certain people who are supposed to be in your life at certain times but that doesnt necessarily mean "forever"

4. Do you drink liquor? 

rarely - im not opposed to it, i just dont often do things where there's alcohol involved

5. What do you usually daydream about?

listen. i have a very specific daydream universe that i always come back to but. you know how you sometimes read a story and can pretty much guess what's wrong with the author? describing my daydreams would be like that except you wouldnt have to guess at all, it'd be the most on-the-nose thing you've ever seen. might as well just post a list of everything that ever went wrong in my life and it'd be less embarrassing

6. First thing you notice about other people?

their voice!! (i mean obviously lots of times you see people before you hear them, but i dont really notice anything more specific than a general impression about appearances at first glance, yk?)

7. What's your favorite quote from a TV show/movie/book?

does a poem count? cause the only thing i can think of is "Es gibt keine Schuld. Es gibt nur den Ablauf der Zeit." from tucholsky's poem aus, which i havent stopped thinking about since i read it nine years ago (and for which i still havent found an english translation, sorry!)

8. Some of your pet peeves?

absolutely hate when people overexplain stuff to me that i know, that you could reasonably assume i know, and that i've told you i know. i know a lot of times people mean well (which is why i wont get actively mad at anyone), but if i already told you i know about something, you really dont have to explain it to me like it's brand new information. (looking at all the guys who heard about my field of study and then went on to describe the most basic sociological concepts to me)

9. Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?

ireland!! i have no specific plans but i've wanted to go to ireland ever since i was a kid and saw the photos my parents took on their trip to ireland in the 90s

10. Where were you born? 

in a small town in northern germany :)

11. What are your hobbies?

nothing exciting tbh - video games, talking to friends, going for walks, and writing (<- i say, barely having written anything in months)

12. What's the best joke you've ever heard?

bold of you to assume i can remember jokes

words of affirmation all the way - if i love you in any way, you will hear about it. thats both a threat and a promise.

14. Topics you never get tired of to talk about.

dragon age, what i'd vaguely describe as online media literacy, and social movements (especially far right movements, which i know sounds weird, but for some reason the FR became my main academic interest)

15. What would be the title if your life were a movie? 

not sure if it'd actually fit, but a couple years ago i scribbled down the phrase "the grand stupidity of the general state of things" and ive just been waiting to use that as a title for anything ever since; so yeah sure, why not, title for a movie about my life!

Tried melatonin. i need a lot for it to help, and when i wake up, i dont fully wake up. So its out the window.

Weed helps a little better, but as soon as it wears off, i wake up. It's also kind of expensive, so it's out.

Now it switch between 3 things. Sometimes, i listen to audiobooks because i have been doing that since i was a kid. I just make sure to fully listen before i fall asleep to them. Not that it makes me sleepy. i'll just be a sad bean if i missed something to a new story.

Not so often mostly because i get bored, which means i stay awake, is using the app Sleep Sounds - relaxing sounds by Craftsman Spirit. It is free. Allows you to mix and match most of the sounds they have. Runs forever if need be. I add this because one time mixing this with a podcast wasn't too bad. I just dont want to run a tablet and a phone to sleep, or two apps (if i could) on my phone.

Now for the podcasts.

Listen To Sleep - Quiet Bedtime Stories & Meditations by Erik Ireland

I love this dudes voice, but I had to stop listening to his podcast. His self done ads are much louder than his stories, and it woke me up more and more often. Theres also volume issues in his older epiodes, so whenever he played the background sounds, it was too quiet for me to hear. Waking me up because i always need sounds. Meditations did the same thing. Silence waking me up. For a bit, I had fixed it by just making my own playlist, but it had gotten crushed by the self-made ads. (Small edit because i forgot) there are some guest entires, and there is also really good. im a bit too lazy to find where to play this little nugget.

Again, I love how he reads stories, so i do suggest giving it a try. You might sleep better than I do.

Sound Sleep - Bedtime Stories & Guided Sleep Meditation - Time To Relax, Get Sleepy, & Fall Asleep by Adam Clairmont

I again love the voice this guy uses. I love the voice of other people who got brought in to read stories. Sadly, there are a lot of very long pauses of silence in the end that always woke me up, so again, I had to stop listening. I didn't continue to listen long enough to figure out why there were pauses like that because i was a little frustrated. Just trying to find something new to fall asleep to would work for me.

The one i listen to now (and admittly, i really really love these stories the most) is

Sleep and Sorcery | Folklore & Fantasy-Inspired Sleep Stories by Laurel Hostak

Form what I understand (sooo could be wrong this is why i should listen to explinations while half asleep if i am) these stories are actually written but Laurel herself. There are quotes, refences, and hints of inpirations for stuff like The Last Unicorn. I know there's more, but that's the only title that sticked to my head. She read well, and the meditation doesn't wake me up if i am already asleep for the next episode. My favorite episode from this podcast is The Unicorn's Blessing. I just love unicorns, and I found this to be very well written, sad, but in the end, so so joyful. There are times there is a bit of silence, and sometimes it does wake me but but it is nowhere near as long as what happened in the other two podcasts I listened to. Maybe it's for meditation maybe its not again. I only wake up because of the silence, not before it.

To anyone looking for sleepy podcasts. I hope you find something you like if you haven't already.

trinity college...it's absolutely crazy to me that there's just normal students who go there when it's the most picturesque fancy campus ever. needless to say my study abroad program is not for there

from my wanderings on hourly comic day (which i also need to post at some point)...just a random staircase i found going down into the river. i have a thing about staircases that go into water in that i love them and always need to climb down them

the beach at blackrock..i went there during storm isha because it is physically impossible for me to experience any sort of wind without going down to the water especially wind as crazy as that storm. really enjoyed
