I just finished rereading Stephen Chbosky's "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". It's the first time I've picked up the book in years, and I'm glad to see that it still resonates so strongly with me. I'm always a sucker for coming of age narratives. And I love that book to death. It's just all this raw emotion and life packed into two hundred pages. And the book is so intimate and thorough, but it never feels tedious.
The story helped me a lot when I was a teen and struggling with feeling isolated from other people as well as my own feelings. I remember finishing the book for the first time and lying in my bed, and feeling like everything was going to be all right, that my life was going to turn out all right. Which was a rare moment of peace for me in those days.
"So tomorrow, I'm leaving. And I'm not going to let that happen again with anyone else. I'm going to do what I want to do. I'm going to be who I really am. And I'm going to figure out what that is. But right now I'm here with you."

This is my current TBR, I went through and assigned genres. Some of those choices may change when I read the book (you can see some books have two genres next to them, I'm gonna decide which genre fits better when I finish reading it). I realized most of my TBR is queer, which is wonderful, and it was a resolution of mine to read more queer books this year. But like. My whole blanket is gonna be blue with a smattering of black, and the occasional other color. I need to get some more books on here, in a more fun variety of genres. And like I said, some of these might change, but I feel like it's still gonna be majority queer books.
Tell me more about this book blanket? I'm Fascinated
Omg yay!! Okay so I'm knitting two rows per book that I finish in 2024, and each book rows will be a different color based on the genre it is
Tumblr media
So here are the books I've read so far. Everything that's in bold is what I've knitted, and the last book on the list is what I'm currently reading but haven't finished yet. So I've knitted everything before Fifty Feet Down, and read everything up to Annie on My Mind, but I'm currently like thirty percent through it.
I'm choosing colors as I finish genres, and I'm trying to do it only with yarn I have (cuz yarn is expensive and I have a lot of yarn. The reason I have a lot of yarn suitable for a blanket is because I took all of this yarn from a blanket I started knitting four years ago and never finished. Like I finished frogging that blanket yesterday and made it into cakes on my new yarn winder!!) I didn't really try to make the colors fit the genres. I just own a lot of navy yarn and knew I'd read a lot of LGBTQ books, and I own a lot of black and know I'll read a lot of horror books. Then for dystopian I just chose a yarn color that I had available, same with mystery.
Tumblr media
Here's how it's going so far! You can see the four navy rows for the two LGBTQ books i read, the two purple for the one dystopian book (which is also very good, I highly recommend Debate Kids at the End of the World and that author in general, Alex Nonymous) and then a chunk of black because I read four I. S. Belle books in a row (you can also see all of the ends I didn't weave in, which I'm going to hate myself for when I finish the blanket)
"But Austyn, what if the book is more than one genre?" I'm so glad you asked! Most of these books could be considered more than one genre. Fifty Feet Down is a mystery, but also a romance. So I just consider what genre I believe is more integral to the story, if that makes sense. Fifty Feet Down could be relatively the same if the main characters were just friends, but the story would be vastly different if it wasn't a mystery. Therefore, it gets the mystery color instead of romance. Same with all of the I. S. Belle books. There's romance in them, but if you took out the romance it would still be pretty similar, but if you took out the horror it would be an incredibly different story.
So that's my 2024 book blanket!
#if youre looking at this list and think of a book you think i might like#please let me know!#i have a whole year to fill up my blanket and im on my tenth book of january#im currently reading A Lonely Broadcast#i was looking for some horror so i looked up 'books to read if you liked cabin in the woods'#whoch is my favorite horror movie#and it recommended a lonely broadcast. whoch is valid. and its kind of similar to wtnv and hello from the hallowoods#by all accounts i should like this book but it kind of feels like a slog to get through#maybe its just a slow start. but nothing is happening. like little things are happening. but i dont yet know the big picture#im like 70 pages in and its a little over 300 so it has time to get better#and i dont want to give up yet bcuz i really like the characters and the premise is cool. its like comedy horror which i love#as evidenced by the fact that i love cabin in the woods. but its just not for me yet#also apologies if i got some of these genres wrong. i generally just guessed based off of the amazon blurb#or looked it up on goodreads if i wasnt sure. but goodreads lists like five genres for every book#i would love some more romance recommendations. preferably queer but i can occasionally like a straight romance#or some good YA shit like perks of being a wallflower or like. similar to john green but ive read most of john greens stuff#anyway bye have a good night! gonna go try to get to the good? part of a lonely Broadcast#if i hit 150 pages. which is halfway. i might just give up and try a new book. i think if you dont like it by halfway you just wont like it

ANY BOOK IS FINE LOVE i’ve never been a book reader but i wanna start to past time + i feel like it’d be super interesting since i’m always intrigued when people tell me what a book they’re reading is about !!
oH MYYYY Okay so i won't be giving you scientific or psychological book to past time, especially if you want something more fun and lovey-dovey. I am going to give you a few books that i personally love
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare: It was like my first book and the one that made me fall in love with reading (i was like 16/17) it's modern fantasy + love. I love the first 3rd books and after that, the other three get a little bit annoying in my personal opinion
Any book by Tolkien, father of Fantasy although i wouldn't recommend if you are just starting since it can be quite a lot to take in
Angel & Demons / Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown: thos are more mystery and crime
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon: fantasy + sapphic + 18 . it's good, has dragons but can be a little intimidating due it being big
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky: i love this book so much, it's written in letters and it's just so adorable, and it makes you cry and laugh and omg i love it
ANY BOOK BY KAZUO ISHIGURO !!!
From Ash And Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout: fantasy + 18, this book is fantastic, I loved every second of it
Addie Larue by V. E. Schwab : BEST BOOK I EVER READ I LOVE THE STORY I LOVE THE CONCEPT IT'S LIKE FANTASY AND MODERN LIFE, JUST A SILLY LITTLE GIRL MAKING A DEMON PACK AND HAVING TO LIFE THROUGH IT IT'S JUST AMAZING AND THE END ?.??????? AMAZING
Captive Prince by C. S. Pacat: roman empire vibes, gay af, +18 but also a lot of TW but i really like the concept of it like i found the characters quite interesting
The Cruel Prince trilogy is amazing as well, fantasy and very well done
honorable mentions to: 6 of crows, Poppy War, Fourth Wings, The Sword of Kaigen, Gods of Men, Shadow of the Gods, ACOTAR

intro + the perks of being a wallflower :)
Hi! Welcome to my blog, here I'll be discussing some of my favourite books, what I'm currently reading, and other media related to the books. I don’t know about you guys, but one of my favourite pastimes is getting lost in a good book. Whether it be educational or just for fun, I can always take away something from a greatly written book. Now I must admit that I don’t really have an organized library in the sense that I don’t think I’ve found my favourite genre of books yet, but bear with me as I talk about books ranging from classical literature to romance, to thrillers, to anthropology, and even to nature books!
In honour of this being the first blog post, I want to share one of my favourite books I think that everyone should read during their adolescence. This book is none other than “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”, written by Stephen Chbosky. In my opinion, coming-of-age books are so special because we get to see how messy it really is through the eyes of someone else. Reading stuff like this always makes me feel small, and makes me feel better about being a teenager and navigating through that awkward period during childhood and adulthood.
Tumblr media
This book is written by the main character Charlie through letters as he navigates through his first year in high school. We have the opportunity to relive and relate to his high school experiences as he goes through waves of good and bad times, writing to us, his friend.
Here is an excerpt of the first page!
“ Dear friend, … I think you of all people would understand that because I think you of all people are alive and appreciate what that means. At least I hope you do because other people look to you for strength and friendship and it’s that simple. At least that’s what I’ve heard. So, this is my life. And I want you to know I am both happy and sad and I am still trying to understand how that could be. ”
This book is only 200 pages and is so incredibly well written that it would be hard to not identify with the main characters. I read this book the summer of 9th grade, and it was nice to know that everyone is unanimous in the feeling that they are still finding out who they really are as a person, and that change is inevitable. Anyways, I think this is a fantastic book that can appeal to everyone, and if reading isn’t really your thing there’s a great movie adaptation! :)
Tumblr media
side note: I alwayyyyys think of this book when I listen to “The Smiths” now! If you ever plan on reading it, I definitely recommend listening to some of their music to get you in the headspace.
Happy reading!

heyyy can you recommend some good books? preferably the ones who inspired you or fundamentally changed you as a person type
yeah! it'll be ones from very recent memory but if i remember more i'll add them to the list lol ok here: maybe you should see someone by lori gottlieb (i was put off by the title of this but it's acc very good and made me cry a lot), crying in h mart by michelle zauner, aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe benjamin alire sáenz, sorrowland by rivers solomon, flowers for algernon by daniel keyes, a thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseini, gone girl by gillian flynn, from margin to center by bell hooks, the midnight library by matt haig (it's cheesy but it's pretty sincere), all the light we cannot see by anthony doerr, little women by lousia may alcott, on earth we're briefly gorgeous by ocean vuong, circe by madeline miller, beloved by toni morrison, reasons to stay alive by matt haig, the perks of being a wallflower by stephen chbosky YES im serious NO idc that it became so overexposed it was cringe -- it's a really good book re mental illness, trauma and adolescence. please look up the trigger warnings for these books beforehand if you decide to read any as most of them are very heavy!! <3

Book recommendations for finding yourself
Hi, so, you feel like you might be queer but you don't know how to feel about it or want to get used to the thought by reading some nice books? Then here's the list for you! Most of these are YA books to give you an easy and gentle start to your queer reading journey.
Tumblr media
"Heartstopper" by Alice Oseman
"Heartstopper" is a webcomic originally published for free (it can still be read on Webtoon for example) by Alice Oseman which has been adapted into several books and a TV show. The main character, Charlie, is a British teenager who deals with bullying at his school because of his sexuality and develops a crush on the popular Rugby player Nick. It is for the main part a very easy-going and cute story that a lot of teenagers should be able to relate to. It is also really refreshing to read a story that does not revolve around the main character coming out and that doesn't have to try too hard to have a very diverse cast of characters. Alice Oseman's other books can also be recommended but Heartstopper is definitely a good place to start.
Tumblr media
"Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe" by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
A coming-of-age story about two Mexican-American boys in Texas in the 80s who discover themselves in their growing friendship and affection towards each other. While I did not enjoy the novel personally I do think it is a nice story that paints a good picture of what a growing relationship between two teenagers can be like.
Tumblr media
"Last Night at the Telegraph Club" by Malinda Lo
This novel, set in San Fransisco in the 50s, deals with the complicated life of Lily Hu who tries to explore her queer identity with her classmate Kathleen Miller at the lesbian club Telegraph Club in Chinatown while also trying to protect her Chinese family from social damnation. The content of this novel can at times be nerve-wrecking and almost scary but it is still very sweet and gives an understanding of what the lives of past queer generations were like. While it is definitely not as easy-going as Heartstopper, the characters are still relatable and offer insight into the mind of a growing queer woman. I myself rated the book 5 stars and want to reread it as soon as possible.
Tumblr media
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is a classic English class book and many people have probably already watched the movie but the book is still worth looking into as it goes a bit more in depth on a few topics. The main character of this novel, Charlie, is starting high school in the early 90s after a tough last year in middle school and finds new friends in Sam and Patrick, he writes all of this in letters to a "Dear Friend." While Charlie himself is not queer, Patrick is and his character can show readers the consequences of not being allowed to live your identity out loud. There are a few CWs for this book so be aware: drug abuse, suicide, sexual assault, domestic violence, pedophilia, incest.

Bee it's book time!!!🐝📚
What was the last book you read?
What's the first book you remember reading?
What's your favourite book adaptation?
What's your favourite book/books of all time?
And a book you'd always recommend to anyone?
Hooray! I love book time!
- idk if this counts but for one school assignment I had to read this reallyyy boring introductory book lol. But other than that o suppose the book I’m reading now is the last or recent book I’m reading. It’s called “Shanna” by Kathleen Woodiwiss. Got it at a thrift and the book pages are holding onto the spine by just a little string basically haha! The cover is one of those old romancy looking covers with a shirtless dudes face in a girls neck and when I bought it my mom called it a “sex book” just by the cover💀
- The first book I can remember one I think that was called “The Great Big Yawn” it was about animals yawning and it was impossible to get through the book without yawning.
- a book adaptation🤔 sometimes this is tricky cause a lot of the times the movie or whatever it turns into ruins the book for me😭 (Perks of Being a Wallflower. Omg I read that book freshman year and hatedddd the film even though it’s super popular) but ones I enjoy are the classic Hunger Games series and the Dune series as well.
- I really really enjoyed Crime and Punishment, it’s a classic I don’t think I need to explain much. (Plus Jeremy likes it too..😏🥸) or another one is Lie With Me. It’s like Call Me By Your Name but I like the writing better. Though I’m a straight female and the story follows a male character and his love affair with another man, I felt there was so much words in the book that I could personally relate to. And I think those two are ones I’d recommend to others. Or there is this good book of poems I like and also a play I read in high school but I forget the dang titles😭 oh! Also I love “Of Mice and Men” too!

WEEKLY TAG WEDNESDAY
Thank you for the tag @energievie
---
Name: Comet
How do you pronounce your own Tumblr handle in your head? space rock writing like, it's literally just a space rock.
When you look out the window right now what do you see? My cube has no window
What is the most unusual profession someone in your family was in? All???? My dad's job is cutting up trees with a sawmill. My mom's an artist, and my brother works for this place that does stem cell research and stuff.
What hobby were you really into as a kid? I collected barbies, and I collected a lot of bunny stuff because of my bunny hyperfixation
First autofill google result when you type 'How can I...?' on my work laptop, so nah.
If you were the main character in a sitcom, what song would be playing during the opening credits? Maybe Kids From Yesterday, by My Chem.
What's the last movie you watched? Did you enjoy it? What genre is it? Not a movie, but I was watching the documentary series Quiet on Set, since I was a big nickelodeon kid.
What is your favourite movie genre? I dunno my fav genere, since I just like movies. Just not horror because I'm too chicken shit for that.
What movie would you recommend? Hmmm, We need to talk about Kevin is a great film if you're interested in a film where you leave feeling confused and empty, as you have NO emotional connection to the main character. The perks of being a wallflower is a fav movie and book of mine, because it's a good story for those who never really fit in. (both these films have Ezra Miller in them: but in Perk's he just a side character.) Bang Bang You're Dead is a good film, dealing with the point of view of the bullied and retaliation. (And it has Randy Harrison, my queer as folk blondie love) Umm, Tick Tick Boom for the life of Jonathan Larson, someone who was a huge deal in the theater world. It's a musical, as is the 2012 Les Miserable film. Ummm, If you're not that conservvative of a person, I'd suggest South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut as well as Orgazmo. Both are written & directed & starring Matt Stone and Trey Parker, who are absouute film idols of mine. Riding in Vans With Boys which is a fun Jackass-style film about this small band that goes on tour with Blink 182 & Green Day for their pop disaster tour. Umm...I've got a lot of films I can recommend, I was a film major lol. Boy Erased was used in helping to write Gay Wieners.
Do your IRL humans know about your fandom life? If you're a creator, do they know you create? Yeah, most of my friends IRL and a few coworkers know I at least go to comic cons and stuff.
If you could do one activity with your pocket/fandom friends what would it be? Gather them all and we're gonna have a fun night all together.

I loved reading Her Spell That Binds Me, such a beautiful novel! I was curious to know what your writing process is like? Do you create vision boards with literary references or other things that inspire you? Do you have any rituals/routines you like to do before, during or after writing? Are there particular spaces you like to write, in your home or in public?
I'm also curious to know, what your favourite books are? Or the books you have re-read the most in your lifetime.
Hi!
I’m so glad you enjoyed my book! Here are my answers to your questions:
Writing Process ✍🏽
I love a good outline. I like to have the whole story mapped out in front of me, going beat by beat and filling in the gaps more and more as I get new ideas.
Then when I start the book, I use the outline as a jumping off point so I have room to forge my own path while still having a general sense of direction. I try to write at least once a day, even if it’s only a few sentences.
I also take notes, notes, and more notes. Random words I like, names, phrases, ideas for spells, a character’s thoughts, or a plot point I want to consider later. Literally anything that pops into my head throughout the day that I don’t want to forget.
My Inspirations 🎶
My biggest inspirations are movies, TV, and music, as well as books. I make a playlist of songs for every book I write. Some songs are more the vibe of the book while others are associated with specific scenes. I posted the playlists on Spotify!
I’ll also have a list of movies that I put on in the background while I write. Idk if that’s a writing process thing or an ADHD thing, might be a bit of both 🤣
For Her Spell That Binds Me, it was Pride and Prejudice (2005), Bridgerton, Dickinson, War and Peace (2016), Emma., and The Witch.
I’m currently writing Her Spell #2, and I’ve been rewatching Suspiria (2018) on a loop. I can’t stop watching it, it’s a problem. 🙃
Vision Boards 📸
I use Pinterest a bit but more so for social media stuff, like pictures and ideas for posts. Sometimes I’ll find a painting or picture that really speaks to me for a certain scene or character and I’ll save it in a folder for later. John William Waterhouse was a big inspiration for Her Spell #1.
I also cast the characters in the books with actors and made a grid with pictures and referred to it when I wrote character descriptions. Not every character has an actor associated with them but many of them do. Maybe at some point I’ll post about that but not for a while. People should imagine the characters for themselves first, I think.
Rituals/Routines 🕯️
I like to light candles and feel cosy when I write, with my cat sleeping next to me. I prefer writing at home so I have a controlled environment without as many distractions. I wrote Her Spell #1 during an unexpected period of unemployment so I knocked it out fairly quickly. Now I work full time again so I’ll write during my lunch breaks, after work, on weekends, whenever I can.
My favorite books are:
- The Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead - Incredibly underrated, I reread the series at least once a year.
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky - I would die for Charlie! I highly recommend watching Perks with the director/actor commentary. Stephen directed the movie as well.
- Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas - This book changed my brain chemistry 😳
- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid - Loooove, the main character is so complex and the love story is bittersweet. The twist was great as well.
- Little Women by Louisa May Alcott - It’s a perfect book and so comforting. I love the 90s movie adaptation the best.
Thank you so much for your questions!
Sincerely,
Luna ❤️

any coming of age books (or fics) or movies recommendations? (I need me some honey and tangerines vibes yk? ive been listening to the playlist too much again. one day I think ill read that fic again, but today is not the day)
much love to go you all in the ask box, eli <3
I'm doing pretty good! went to a yoga class tonight and I'm seeing the tommyinnit live show tomorrow so it's shaping up to be a pretty great weekend!
I actually filmed a video to post here on language day and everything but I wanted to redo it so my face wasn't fully in frame but then I just didn't get around to it :( oh well next time
OOO congrats on turning in that paper!! that's a huge accomplishment, I hope you get a great grade on it. and yay for free time!
oh boy ok coming of age recs I can do this. I haven't read any coming of age books since I was a teenager though so keep in my my memory of these are all hazy
books:
the perks of being a wallflower by stephen chbosky - hallmarker of the coming of age genre, read this when I was 16 and cried, even if you've seen the movie I highly recommend the book
aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe by benjamin alire saenz - literally was one of my favorite books for so many years. I read it when I was 15 and became obsessed with it. I still look back on it so warmly it's just such a great book
it's kind of a funny story by ned vizzini - also read this one when I was like 16ish. I remembered enjoying it but not as much as the other two I've listed here. still very good though!
movies:
cha cha real smooth (2022) - actually one of my favorite coming of age films I've ever seen. it's a coming of age film about a guy in his early 20s instead of in his teens which is refreshing in its own. it hit particularly hard for me because I saw it when I was 22 and freshly graduated from college unsure what to do, the main character is 22 and freshly graduated from college unsure what to do. it's also a very unique setup and I really loved how they pulled it off
the edge of seventeen (2016) - this might be a controversial pick because the main character is actually pretty insufferable in this, but that's part of why I enjoyed it. the character is meant to be insufferable. she's a teenage girl dealing with the hell of being a teenage girl and she sucks! it's an intentional thing and it does it very well! I would say it still falls flat in some areas, but I'm mainly recommending it because it's so refreshing to have an mc genuinely be a shitty person
sing street (2016) - I count this as a coming of age movie but it's also kind of a music movie? it's incredibly fun no matter what. the songs are so catchy, the characters are all great, and the relationships are just all very well done
the kings of summer (2013) - genuinely why do I never hear anyone talk about this movie. I haven't seen it in so long but I remember it being incredibly funny with a great dose of summertime whimsy
hunt for the wilderpeople (2016) - tbh I never thought of this as a coming of age movie and it might be a bit different than most of the films on here but I was looking up lists of coming of age movies to try and remember which ones I've seen and I saw this one mentioned a few times. if you're a fan of taika waititi films, in my opinion this is his best one hands down. it's hilarious but also incredibly sweet and heartwarming at the same time
moonrise kingdom (2012) - very charming and storybook esque in the way all wes anderson films are, but with a really sweet story between two kids at its core. again, different from most of the ones on this list, but definitely an enjoyable one all the same
hope this list helps!

Just sending something as a small distraction: what are some of your favorite things(I’ll get specific)? I’m sorry if this has been asked already!
What’s a movie you’d recommend to friends(or strangers)?
What’s a book that really changed how you view yourself or the world?
Who is your favorite band or musician to put on the stereo when you’re feeling bad to help you feel better? Are there any songs that just make you want to get up and dance around?
What is your favorite place to be, or place to visit?
And any other favorites you love to share or talk about! Artwork/artists, comfy clothes you like, animals, drinks? Anything like that! 💕
Sending love, keep on fighting 💪🏼🩵🙌🏼 and if nobody else has told you today, I’m proud of you. I’m proud of you for facing another day. And I’m proud of you for doing what you can to keep yourself as close to “comfortable” as possible. 🩵
This is literally adorable, thank you so much ❤️
Let's go over these questions one by one!
My favorite things: one of them used to be making jewelry but I have zero inspiration these days, I learned today in therapy it has alot to do with the fact that my nervous system is so overwhelmed from the pain, anxiety. I've been in survival mode for a couple months now and I have no room for anything but surviving. Which is why I can barely sleep, eat, enjoy things,.. But yeah besides that I really enjoy being with my cats! They just make me happy. I also have an addiction to watching reality TV of any emergency service 😂 don't know why, it makes me calm haha.
Alright a movie I'd recommend : perks of being a wallflower!
As to books, I don't really know tbh, I only read vampire books 😂 I do wanna say the vampire diaries books are really good, very different from the show. And I absolutely love them
My favorite singers are Yungblud and Billie eilish. But my all time favorite song is bittersweet symphony
Tumblr media
But yeah he's my comfort person 🖤
Going to his concerts is like my comfort place. Eventho health wise it's very heavy on me. It's something I give myself? Of that makes sense. It's like this community and all the fans always help me which is incredible and I've never felt more at home. I've been to England, France, Netherlands and Italy for him and ofcourse here in Belgium too haha. But it's also alot for the people who come with it, we always stick together and take care for eachother and it's lovely.
My favorite thing to do in the whole world is being in the warmth, and since it's winter, I'm having trouble with seasonal depression alot, cause I'm very limited in activities in the colder months unfortunately.
And oh I love cocktails the most when it comes to drinks!
My fave animals are foxes and bats and also just cats, cause I feel very related to them 😂
And my main interest/obsessions haha besides that are: titanic and stitch
I think that's all I can come up with 🤔
Thank you so much for distracting me, it feels very nice and it's a welcome distraction!
I wish you so much good things and again, you seem like a lovely person ❤️❤️❤️

hiii kai <3 what are ur top 3 fave movies of all time :) i need recs !
Ash, I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life, so I hope you’ll excuse if I elaborate a bit on your ask. “Little Miss Sunshine”, “Fantastic Mr. Fox”, “The Darjeeling Unlimited”, “My Neighbour Toronto”, etc., are all movies I consider some of my favourites of all time, but a quick check of your letterboxd confirms that you’ve watched all of those already.
The following movies I highly recommend and didn’t see on your letterboxd:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
La La Land
Little Women
Beautiful Boy
Midnight in Paris
Princess Mononoke
Everything, Everywhere All at Once
The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Punch-Drunk Love
Good Will Hunting
Head Full of Honey (the original version from 2014 - made me bawl my eyes out when I was seven, and still to this day, I can’t watch it without crying. However, there’s no English audio available, and I’m not sure if that might negatively impact the viewing experience.)
The Edge of Seventeen
I think if I continue to add more, I'll never stop and it'll just be this endless list of movies, which won't really be much help to you, I think. But if I think of another really important one, I'll tell you!!
Anyway, if you do decide to watch one of the movies, please please please tell me what you thought!! Thank you and goodnight :)
