#hexatxt #do you imagine the puppets to dispense steam like that..#i do think of the puppets as having an organic external layer (which is how they can look soft and squishy to an extent)#with how ive designed nsh he basically has a terrible fucking face cuz that jaw emits steam and lets out internal heat and w/e #but they still have obvious primarily metal bits . some of em just have more of that stuff ig #(i do believe the puppets themselves need cooling but its more akin to how a persons body sweats to maintain a proper temperature)#his ''mouth'' is his biggest heat exit on the puppet . its fucked and unbalanced LOL #it fuckign drips water way too much . thats why the scarf is important and isnt just an accessory here..#two reasons to cover the ''mouth'' . to not have it dripping out water constantly and to hide it when needed #btw the steam goes crazy if hes feeling or thinking too much . it makes it obvious thru the puppet that something is going on #idk if ive talked abt this design stuff on here before #cs #excuse their outfits i fucking love dressing bitches up .

Sidestep masks! Varyingly pins and patches. I made a bunch of them because I was Captured by the Cross Stitch Bug this year. They are, from top left to bottom right:

Under the cut are a couple progress photos and the sidestep classic pattern!

Front and back of the six I made most recently before I cut them out and finished them! There’s two brooch-back pins, a tie tack backed pin, three iron on patches and a sew on patch.

I based the sidestep classic pattern off the cover art from Rebirth that's polterink's design, and I made different patterns for the other masks, of course, but I’m less willing to share those since they aren’t my designs or the sort-of standard. The DMC thread values I used are 3845 for the bright turquoise, S415 for the light grey, 3799 for the dark grey (except for the three that are actually 413 i think), and 310 for the black!

A caveat that I didn't actually do all the backstitch this pattern shows-- I did as Little of the backstitch as I could get away with lol

oh absolutely i think rogues would name themselves after each other. Even besides just adopting each other's names when one of them dies, but also like trading names. Best friend rogue duo whose rogue names are just each other's real names.

tbh Thalia and Luke would have deviantart oc-coded rogue names lol. Blue Bolt is definitely a cool fitting one! I was joking in the TA discord yesterday that Luke might lightheartedly call Thalia "Green Day" or "Hot Topic" just to tease her.

Still dunno what Thalia might call Luke though 🤔 Cause he's already a little jaded of the gods to begin with so he'd probably try to lean away from directly Hermes-related nicknames? But he's super emo so he'd probably try for something dramatic and edgy. And Thalia would probably tease him about it as much as he teases her.
