"model minority". something something starscream has a breakdown and gets a little politically incorrect. "its not a myth or a stereotype. we ARE better because we HAVE TO BE. BECAUSE OF YOU" skyfire tells starscream not to be racist and gently pulls the leash on his chihuahua

"ozone smell". skyfire and starscream get called in to the health clinic and they get a talk about hygiene. they get politely talked down to "maybe its your flight habits or maybe its something else, but we've been getting reports from the student body about an ozone smell. we will be adding 10 minutes to your schedules between classes so you can clean up in the wash racks. thank you for being accommodating"

"ozone smell part 2". some mechs start recording/watching starscream as he washes to make sure he's actually cleaning out the ozone smell properly. starscream feels violated. skyfire suggests he reports it to school authorities. they tell him that it's only reasonable since he still "reeks". starscream decides they all need to die and skyfire tries to calm him.

Finally a new TF drawing! This took all weekend,,, this is a piece I've wanted to do for a year now, the Build Team from TF:RID (2001) in my style! This series was Wedge's first appearance and the family dynamic these three had in their debut episode was so cute I decided to make them an actual family (⁠人⁠*⁠´⁠∀⁠｀⁠)⁠｡⁠*ﾟ⁠+

Time to be a nerd about inherited features:

Wedge gets his Headlights, windowshield, head ridges and lift cylinder from Grimlock; his pedes, lower wheels and legs from Hightower; and helm-brim, visor, ear flats and shoulder wheels from Heavy Load! He's a group project :P

Their personalities are pretty much the same: Heavy Load is Wedge's closest mentor (#mothering), Hightower is way too flattering and Grimlock is the backbone of this family unit :3

Growing up with three older brothers and two of such competing in karting competions, life was hard for Y/n Leclerc. Pascale and Hervé invested lots of their money and energy into Arthur and Charles.

When she was seven, Y/n's interest in ballet started. The young girl had her heart set on being a professional ballerina. So thats what she did. Y/n convince Pascale to enrol her in ballet class.

From then on, she became more and more talented. Quickly becoming the top of class. Yet when recitals came round and she was the lead, the only person who came to watch was Lorenzo.

The rest of the family were out at karting competitions cheering on Charles and Arthur. Yes they would apolgise to Y/n for their absence but to her it never really felt quite right.

Y/n was 14 years old, life got harder. Karting turned to formula 2 and E. Lorenzo now building his own life, he moved out of the house.

And the worst of all, Hervé Leclerc passed away. This meant attention was limited, Pascale was busy. She had her salon to run, she was running around supporting the two boys racing and she was mourning the lose of her partner.

As much as he wanted to support Y/n during her recitals, Lorenzos life became busier and he could no longer come along each recital. She felt as though no one her family could see her or her talent.

So what did she do? Y/n collected enough money to enrol herself into a ballet academy. In the dead of night she packed just enough and left without a sound. Of course she couldn't leave without leaving a note, she loved her family.

Dear Maman, Charlie and Arthur, I love you all dearly, please don't worry about me. I will be gone for a while, Lo Lo knows where I will be but please do not pester him. Thank you for everything and more Love from your dearest daughter, Y/n xx

However, Y/n felt warm with that in mind. Like they were finally noticing her for the first time. No longer was she fighting for the attension with her two older brothers. But was it just online? If she were to go back, would it go back to how it was before.

Plus she had built up a life on ballet. Y/n made a family with her friends. Everyone knew her, fuck she is a household name hiding her Leclerc identity from the world, even herself.

"Okay when?!" Charles throws his arms in the air with frustration. He was pacing in front of the television; Arthur, Pascale and Lorenzo all sat on the sofa watching him.

The topic of Y/n came up in passing by Arthur and it became much more. Charles was fighting, he was desperate to get his dear little sister back home. However Lorenzo, knowing how Y/n felt about everything, was fighting back and trying to prioritize her feelings.

The constant pacing stopped abruptly, and Charles turned to look at Lorenzo with a harsh glare. "Why do you want to so desperately work to her choices? Are you in contact with her?" You could hear a penny drop.

Eyes snapped over to the oldest boy, all confused and harsh. Lorenzo sunk into himself. "I um..." He took a deep breath before continuing. "Yeah um so I kept contact with her yes"

"Is she okay?" The first question Pascale asked. Years of guilt plagued her mind, she neglected her own daughter and she was now paying the price for that.

Lorenzo nodded. "Yes, she's okay...Y/n she um built up a family through her friends and as you know she is doing well for herself..." A small proud smile morphed onto his face, he was proud of her for doing this for herself.

"Does she hate us for what we did?"

He breathed in and out. "No, she doesn't hate any of us...she understands completely..." That did ease some guilt for the other three, it would of killed them to know that she hated them, her own family.

There was silence for a couple of minutes whilst they all fell into their own thoughts. And then Pascale spoke up again. "Can you at least text her or call her whatever...talk to her, please tell her that we love her and that we want to see her again...we're so so proud and sorry"

Arthur and Charles both nodded in agreement. "I'll see what I can do..." Lorenzo promised.

It seemed that the next time they would see Y/n would come round much soon than expected. It wasn't planned, totally sporadic.

Charles was in the kitchen, in Lorenzos apartment. He was scrolling through his phone when there was a ring coming from Lorenzos phone. "Lorenzo! Your phone, it's ring!" Looking over the driver read the name.

He knew it was wrong to answer the call, but it felt right like this would do something so he did. Charles picked up the phone and answer.

Before he could speak the voice he missed so dear filled his ear, yet it was panicked and he could hear uneven breathing.

"Lo I'm sorry please, I came back to Monte C but uh um the paps they um oh my god I can't breathe they keep following me! Please please I don't- I don't know where to go!" He missed her voice, granted it for much more mature and wiser now, he still missed it.

Though he was entranced by the situation, now very concerned. "It's okay, it's okay" His mind was on speed mode, much like it was in the car. "Send me the location, I'll come and collect you"

Y/n's voice came out calmer and confused now. "Cha...is that you?"

Charles nodded his head before realising she couldn't see him. "Yeah um it is Cha, I'm on my way" He rushed down to his ferrari.

Pulling up to her location, his heart clenched. Y/n had grown so much since he had last seen her, she had grown into herself and looked alot like Pascale now.

Charles climbed out of his car, walking over to her and collided her into a bone crushing hug. "Oh chérie, je suis vraiment désolé..." Oh darling, I'm so sorry

Tears soaked his shoulder, the whole chaos of the day and reuniting with her older brother weighing down on Y/n had finally toppled off completely.

She couldn't speak, just hung onto him. That long time spent away from her family catching up to her. "It's okay...it's okay..." Charles whispered in her ear.

I don't think they're the same age tbh. The timeline is a bit inconsistent, but if we go off the first episode, 1. Ratchet considers prowl to be young, implying he's probably closer in age to Optimus than he is to ratchet, even if hes still older than Optimus and can remember at least a little of the war before it ended. And 2. The war only ended a few centuries before the show starts up. Which gives us an age range for Optimus, and puts prowl only slightly above it because it's very likely he was only drafted at the very tail end of the war, whereas ratchet was likely around long before it even started. It's also hard to tell exactly HOW long before the war ratchet was built, but it's older than shockwave (he calls him a tough old model) who we can safely assume was a young bot by its inception.

In human years it's probably something like this

Bumblebee & Bulkhead: 20ish

Optimus: mid 20s

Prowl: late 20s, pushing 30

Probably all of con high command (assuming they were all together from the start of the war): anywhere from late 30s to early 50s (kinda hard to tell, we don't have a great timeline)

Ratchet: 60s-70s

But even then, trying to apply human timespans to it is a fool's errand because we don't really know how long it takes for them to reach maturity vs how long they live in total. Bumblebee could've joined boot camp only a few months after the assembly line with a fully formed brain and a short period of schooling (we know they gotta get some level of orientation after they come online if Arcee existing is any indication), he could've been 18 in earth years, or centuries old.

It's always gonna be wild because their lifespans are truly just incomprehensibly long. We just don't have any sort of framework for how that affects the psyche, let alone how it'd work for a separate sentient species.

Its important to remember that we dont actually see Viktor interacting with a lot of people he doesnt know outside of his zone of expertise. So that makes EVERYTHING from "viktor is shy and introverted" to "viktor is assertive and flirty".... a headcanon.

Like, you can draw conclusions from the infos we're given like: he was shy and quiet as a child, doesnt mean he has to be as an adult though. Hes assertive, confrontational and opinionated when it comes to his WORK (his and jayces first meeting, talking to mel, speaking in front of the council & to heimerdinger), doesnt necessarily mean hes like that in non-work related situations, when hes not in his ~comfort zone~. He's very animated and confident around jayce, but jayce is special. He's VERY assertive and physical post evolution, but can we really apply that to his whole personality? He keeps Sky at a distance, calling her Ms Young and ignoring her very obvious advances, but is that bc hes a pretty distant person in general or is he just gently trying to communicate his own disinterest to her? (Bc he does care about her, but he definitely isnt inviting or open to her) Hes obviously reluctant to have any sort of public attention on him, but is that bc he distrusts the ppl of piltover, is it shame due to perceived "weaknesses" or is it simple fear of public speaking?

What i want to say is that we have pretty limited canonical info about what Viktor is like socially. So some things simply rely on headcanons and yall gotta stop calling some of them ooc. "Viktor would never be shy or uncomfortable in a social situation, thats so ooc" "viktor never had any partners before jayce, he was probably a virgin" "viktor fucked his way through the academy" we literally dont know, so you just gotta roll with the hc you like best and the one that makes the most sense to YOU lmao

Long ago before Easton Magic Academy was built, there was a small village that stood where the school now stands. In this village, there was a very handsome mage who was as powerful as he was kind. Unlike some villages, this village was a purist village. The only people who lived here were those capable of using magic. Anyone who couldn’t use magic was driven out or killed. The young handsome mage was the son of the village’s leader. One day, he fell in love with a girl. This girl was kind and sweet but she had a secret, she was incapable of using magic. The young mage tried his best to hide her inability, he truly loved her, but a pair of jealous eyes always followed them.

Another young woman who had a crush on the young mage had discovered the girl’s inability to use magic. Knowing that the young mage would likely follow the girl if she was driven from the village, the young woman lied to the man’s father and said that the magic-less girl had bought love potions and had been using them on his son. The young woman hid the empty vials in the girl’s bag so when she was questioned by the authorities, they’d search her bag and find them. Word quickly spread around the village and the girl was locked up and set to be burned at the steak for her crimes. Despite his pleas, no one listened to the young mage for everyone believed he was under the influence of a love potion.

The next morning, the girl was dragged out of her cell and tied to a cross in the middle of the village. As they piled wood at the base of her feet, many men held the young mage back as he cried and struggled to free himself. As they lit the fire, the young mage watch slowly as the love of his life was slowly engulfed in flames. Hearing her screams, he managed to break free from the men holding him only to be put to sleep by a sleep spell cast on him to prevent him from interfering with the trial. When the young mage awoke later, he learned of his love’s death and cursed the village for their deeds before taking his own life. The young mage’s curse allowed for his lover’s soul to haunt those who did her wrong by tying her soul to the earth.

Years past and eventually the village was abandoned and later the school was built on top of where the village once lied. The girl’s soul wandered the school grounds for years, steadily and slowly soaking up magical energy. Despite not being able to use magic when she was alive, the curse was powered by the grudges of those who bear it as well as who cast it. The curse gave her the ability to use magic to enact her revenge. For years she watched as magic users preyed upon each other and established a social hierarchy based on how strong one’s magic was. She was disgusted by this, the mistreatment of others and the bullying.

One day, a young man with a mushroom like haircut entered the school grounds. Having nothing to really do, the girl always watched the entrance ceremony to see who would enter the school. The young man caught her eye as instead of doing anything magic related in preparation for the tests, he was lifting weights and working out. What a strange young man, as she continued to observe him, she noticed he had never used magic in any of the trials. It wasn’t very hard for the girl to realize that the young man couldn’t use magic. Worried for the young man who she learned was named Mash Burnedead, she began to follow him around. She kept an eye on him at all times and swore that she would protect him. She watched as another young man took advantage of Mash’s social ineptitude and made Mash do all kinds of menial tasks.

Her rage burned as she watched. But eventually the truth was revealed when Mash found his roommate, Finn Ames, being bullied into submission by the young man. After smashing the boy’s face into the ground and burying the vice principal, Mash was summoned by the headmaster. The girl watched unaware that the headmaster knew of her presence on the school’s grounds. That night, she appeared before a supposedly sleeping Mash and gently caressed his head. Promising to protect him before she disappeared. From that day on, Mash would get the feeling on occasion that he was being watched, catching glimpses of a girl that would seemingly appear out of thin air and then vanish.

One night, he pretended to sleep, you walked up to him and appeared as you gently stroked his head only for his eyes to open, spooking you. You both stared at each other for a moment before Mash spoke up. “Who are you?” He asked. You told him you don’t really remember your name since it’s been so long. You told him about what you are and what happened to you, you told him all that you remembered of your past life. You told him that you know he can’t use magic and that you will protect him. He tried to lie and say that he can use magic but you just giggled at his obvious lie. After that night, you would follow Mash around and he was fine with it.

Eventually he would go on to defeat the Magia Lupis which lead to others finding out he couldn’t use magic. From there he was brought before the magic bureau. When Orter tried to attack Mash with his sand, a vortex of black flames surrounded Mash, protecting him from Orter’s attack. It was then that you showed yourself to the Divine Visionaries and threatened to kill anyone who dared to hurt Mash. Over the years, you had amassed quite a large amount of magical energy which allowed you to cast powerful spells. Each of the Divine Visionaries fell to their knees in agony as you forced them to feel like they were being burnt alive. When Mash asked you kindly to stop and not kill them, you begrudgingly relented and released them from your spell.

From then on, you slowly watched as Mash grew and made friends, changing the minds of people and eventually becoming accepted by everyone. Seeing Mash become accepted by everyone, you felt your anger and resentment towards the past fade. You felt the curse that kept you bound to the earth weaken. One night, you appeared before Mash for the last time. “Mash, Thank you. For so long now, I’ve been tied to the world of the living, unable to move on into the afterlife due to my hatred and anger towards what happened to me. But seeing you become accepted by everyone, it’s finally given me peace. I can finally rest and move on, so thank you” you smiled as you spoke to Mash. Slowly, your apparition dissolved into tiny light particles as the curse broke, freeing you.

The next day, Mash and his friends went into the forest and began digging in an area until they uncovered what appeared to be human bones that had been burnt. Together, Mash and his friends made a proper grave for you. Mash even went as far as to carve a gravestone for you with your name, date of birth and death, as well as a bit of information about you. Wahlberg agreed to make your gravestone a special place on the campus that would be protected so that no one would desecrate it. Every now and then, Mash would leave a cream puff for you as a gift whenever he visited.

TLDR: The Violet version is basically him 2 years after his supposed death after being absolutely obliterated by the aggressive Miraidon.(His glowing labcoat is similar to the Paradox pokemon) The Scarlet version is a very Furina coded (Genshin Impact) Turo which he teaches in the Academy while Sada is working on the time machine in secret . (Thats why he has past motifs , he still prefers the future related literature so much more though)

everything to do with mazey and fabian. of all the fantasy high couples aside from fidayda, these two feel the most like they make sense together- they have similar interests, they have similar values, fabian had a crush on her even when she was being 'uncool' (eg. twister) and how mazey actually picked up on that and appreciated the way he used his perceived coolness to extend it to others who might be picked on otherwise. this is the couple i most hope go the distance even post aguefort adventuring academy (again, aside from figayda ofc but i literally cannot imagine those girls breaking up over anything)

fabian's fetus sibling outnemesising him despite fabian building an animosity towards them the whole season before they were even conceived. peak fantasy high insanity

controversial but i thought the maryann/gorgug being introduced and canonised in all of 15 minutes was hilarious. it was very teen of them in a way that felt authentic. my ideal scenario for them is an end of year fling that becomes amicable exes bc they truly have nothing in common beyond thinking the other is hot (real of them) but i dont have a strong opinion on whether they should break up or not

also maybe controversial but i like that kalina is straight up bloodthirsty. she felt like an equal opposite to bakur- rather than being a devoted servant who became corrupted by proxy, she was trying to corrupt her deity into a form she preferred. thematically it extends to the complementary opposites thing ankarna and cassandra have going on (though i get it might be a reach).

things i hated

ik it was payoff to the running bit and it made me cackle when it was revealed, but the implications of hallariel and gilear having a baby are so bad to me. fig talks up gilear a lot, and sure, he came around to being a good dad to her, but gilear has objectively been a shit stepdad to fabian and hallariel... is hallariel. its got to sting was watch your mom be basically catatonic for your entire life, and then suddenly prove that she was capable of being an present mother the whole time- just not for you. im hopeful that senior year will address this though!! lou has always been so good giving his characters' weighty emotional arcs that feel satisfying

i dont like the implication of trackerbees getting back together. i never thought bladebees was good beyond a realistic rebound, but trackerbees was SO codependent together, i dont think its a coincidence that kristen had her best emotional intelligence moments when forced to think things through on her own. tracker always struck me as kind of a 'fixer' type, like she feels most comfortable with someone she can act caretaker-y to (hence bouncing off kristen to another girl who had similar issues). i really reaaaally hope they dont regress back into their s2 dynamic

ruben's memory wipe. i thiiink the implication is that those who were the most willing to follow through on porter's orders maintained more of their memories bc they were in control of themselves and those who didn't were compelled into obedience (which might be why ivy and oisin remember more), but it wouldve been nice to actually see the lucy/ruben close friendship brennan said they had with him sobbing and apologising to her

it felt very weird that kristen didnt get some kind of resolution to her yearlong gentle prodding at bucky?? i think ally got sidetracked with the possibility of kristen getting back together with her ex that it kind of slipped from their mind (maybe bc to them the ankarna vision of her upbringing was kristen resolving her feelings towards her family but still), but considering all of elmville was coming apart, i feel like bucky's faith could've been swaying into doubt pretty easily. idk maybe bc ive become a trackerbees hater over the season but it felt annoying that that was what ally focused in on and not their character's more meaningful relationship with her little brother

oh wow a fire emblem post after a lot of not posting about fire emblem. its been slow and i dont care too much about heroes, sue me.

i've come to the conclusion that people get too hung up on the idea of whether felix was right or wrong about dimitri when it comes to discussions on their character dynamics [it all tends to be very felix focused anyways]. I would say that at the end of the day, the story needs felix to be wrong in order to work as it does and theres no getting around that.

as a result however, dimitris side of that dynamic often gets overlooked i think and its a shame, cause i would say its the most important factor in how that dynamic works. cause well felix hurls all manner of verbal abuse at him, dimitri never disabuses felix of those notions even when he's trying his hardest to pretend everything is fine. he just takes the abuse, and i would argue thats far more important to the dynamic and speaks a lot more to dimitris core characteristics.

what dimitri is, is sad, traumatized, and possessed of an intense self loathing that blends together into a self destructive cocktail. its not just that the dead are haunting him, its that the dead are haunting him by calling him a pussy ass bitch in the most violent way possible, all the while everything falls apart around him. and his response to this is to try and repress that sorrow and trauma as deep as he possibly can, because he has too much to do, not enough time, and everyones counting on him.

what dimitri isn't, is possessed of a hidden darkness that can only be expressed in violent rage and general monsterousness/assholery. certainly he can express those things, but they're always symptoms of whats happening around him and in the story. the inevitable reaction of all that misery hes so deeply repressed exploding in violent reaction to the cruelty of the world around him. And it is importantly cruelty and injustice that he's reacting to, remire village, the holy tomb, the entire god damn war phase etc. its why dimitris story is always importantly intertwined with the idea of having others to support you and your burdens.

anyways, guess what end of the stick felix latches onto during the academy phase!!

its grimly funny in a way, but what felix is essentially playing with dimitri is purity politics. people often overlook that canonically he was a very sweet and gentle child before the tragedy, and that his aloof prickly i studied the blade demenour is just a crude imitation of glenns personality [but yeah, sure, keep telling yourself that hes dealing with glenns death better then rodrigue]. and he practically grew up alongside dimitri, who he only ever knew as a kind and gentle boy as well. then the tragedy happens and uproots everything in his life, so he tries to find that stability again by going with dimitri in their first battle.

and that's where he sees that violent reaction dimitri sorrow can elect. and like a true gamer, felix rejects the idea that his [pure, sweet, gentle] dimitri could ever do or be like that. it must be a monster in a humans skin, a boar prince.

and like the tsundere idiot he is, felix takes it as his own duty [consciously or not] to act as the jailkeeper for that wild animal that's taken his friends place. possibly its executioner even. because felix is too caught up in his own grief to see beyond that rage, a rage he rejects the "true" dimitri of being capable of.

and, wadda ya know. dimitri being caught in a violent spiral of self hatred and anger at the injustices of the world, does nothing to disabuse felix of these notions. because he feels like he deserves to be abused by felix, and also because its easier to brush things off that way and pretend everything is normal.

and i find that a lot more interesting to view the relation between the two in and how it develops over the games story.
