I am a church musician by trade and thus I am a tremendous fan of Advent music.

What's Advent music you ask? Well, Advent is the season of waiting, four Sundays preceding Christmas Day. So Advent music is all about capturing that feeling of longing anticipation, that yearning for better days. It tends to be a little more somber, a little darker than your usual Christmas music, and I LOVE it.

For those like me who prefer their pre-Christmas tunes a little bit more on the dark and dramatic side, here are a few favourites:

A classic, a banger. The solo voice echoing out the call and the choir responding with swelling harmony? Chef's kiss. This is the first thing I listened to this morning.

I’ve been roleplaying for almost ten years on tumblr (April 2013 baybeee).  I got started rping on the big oldies like gaiaonline and msn messenger when I was like, god, ten to twelve? Around there.  I’M OLD AS HELL.  Been writing since I could hold a pencil.

Looks at my roster.  Nikki is my oldest muse.  I’ve been writing different versions of her/developing her since I was ten or twelve lmao.  She’s not my very first muse, as I wrote little short stories as a kid, but she’s the one that’s stuck with me the longest.  She’s my baby.  Elivyre is also super fun to write and they’re pretty similar.  I love little shit heads that are pretty confident in themselves/have a cocky nature to them.  It’s so far different from me and it’s so much fun to write.  But I do love writing soft sweethearts like Caleb, too.

SMUT. Eh?  Some of my muses are horny little shits.  Sometimes I’m in a mood to write smut, or the muses want smut.  I’m very, very rusty writing smut as I never wrote it often or consistently.  It tends to be something that takes me a while to write unless the inspiration really strikes.  I’m more comfortable with fade to blacks, unless the mun is someone I talk to relatively frequently/feel comfortable with.  Smut isn’t completely out of the question, though.

PLOT // MEMES. I enjoy both!  Memes are great to get things started between muses if we’ve never interacted before ic or ooc.  I love good plots, though.  I’m just struggling to come up with any as of late, and I don’t like approaching people to plot without at least something vague in mind to bring to the table.  More often than not, my ‘plotting’ is us telling each other about our muses & how the would react to each other in general or in specific situations.  Sometimes that leads to a spark of inspiration for a specific plot.  Memes are good for the same thing!  If y’all ever see something on my wish list, or have something on your own that you feel would work between muses, feel free to just yeet yourself into my ims and scream.  I’m trying to do the same!

Picking acrylic off my fingers from painting all day, seriously and honestly considering becoming a person who pushes around a cart of ice cream as a side job, and being very excited for my best friends birthday tomorrow!

5. Four Fandoms that have your peak interest right now?

Four is a lot! I'm not really in any active fandoms with a name right now, just kind of things I'm enjoying on my own time during the lockdown. I'm rewatching a lot of old cartoons that meant a lot to me as a kid. Like Ren and Stimpy, Chalkzone, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, and Spongebob. XD.

6. How has this pandemic been treating you?

Other than my company and bank screwing me over with some drama about my paycheck that I'm still trying to resolve, it's actually going pretty well! I've been getting a lot of art done. And now that most of my friends are done with their classes it's not so lonely anymore because I've been on voice chat in discord like constantly

Sugar Neighbors by Dane Terry! Ooooh my god please go listen its beautiful, so is all his other music. We love queer artists in this house <3

17. Rate your life 1-10, 1 being really crappy and 10 being best it could ever be.

Ooo. Uhm.. 8! I think I have a right to say I was dealt a really shitty hand. But despite all that, I'm doing better for myself than I ever hoped I could be when I was at my lowest. I'm happy, I'm mostly healthy, I like my job, and I have wonderful friends! The only thing I want is my own apartment with a guest bedroom and a craft room 😍

- my room (cause I still live at home, free rent baybeee) is my childhood room. My style you could call it “chaotic memories.” One day I just started hanging things on my walls and I just never stopped. Wrappers, necklaces and bracelets, little balls of string. Uno cards. A glove. Horse shoes. I have a giant shadow box above my bed and I just stick little trinkets there. I struggle to find new places to hang things up, so many things rest on one small thumbtack. It’s very unique, and very me. When I move out, I’m going to put everything on my walls into a scrapbook or box and keep it all together.

I tried to ride my bike home after a night on the town and got thrown off when I rode over some tram tracks. I though nobody saw me but some guy pulled up and shouted ‘You alright there, mate?’ and my drunk, hysterical ass screamed at him to leave me alone and that I’d be fine, only to realise that I’d busted up one of my wheels and was stranded. Had to call my mum to come pick me up. 

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I wouldn’t mind being taller, if only because it can be a real pain in the ass grabbing things out of the kitchen cupboards sometimes
