i am tempted to post a photo of my halloween costume this year but i am also a huge massive fan

sorry had to make that joke. anyways i really like internet safety so please pretend i put a photo of me looking sick as hell in my costume here :)

the orange thing is my friend who went trick or treating w me as "orange spike".

homemade costume :) lemon meringue from strawberry shortcake (her 1991 appearance)

all thrifted, except for the petticoat which i already had and the armwarmers and tights which i bought

the friend in the drawing made the bow :)

used color wax (as i am copper) on my hair for the first time and i'm gonna be doing this forever now its awesome

#the blouse is actually another dress that was originally white but we dyed it #the dress im pretty sure is something someone made out of a blanket #the shoes were awful #only orange flats i could find on short notice #they were made out of squished faux leather i think #sole was totally flat cork-ish something (hard!!!)#and ZERO heel #there was a heel like a centimeter tall #sorry like #heel-holder #it felt like i was wearing flip flops #oh also i sewed the collar onto the dress #the sash is leftover ribbon from making the bows for the shoes #halloween costume #lemon meringue #strawberry shortcake #note: i dont know much about strawberry shortcake the franchise #so maybe thats not the name #i just like the characters #about the hair wax #i really did like it and intend to use it again int he future #but im probably not gonna stop dying my hair #i like doing that 👍#might be able to use it a lot to have fun with my hair while im growing it out #oh and #the color of my hair in the drawing is a lot darker than it turned out #i just accidentally put brown down when i wasnt looking at the photo #and couldnt erase it

also can I just say. the difference between the joy of fit and bagi having a full day with blue, getting acquainted with the base, reuniting with their loved ones, all relieved to have more materials and more of a team - and then the absolute misery of etoiles and roier, moving the few valuable possessions red has to a new base that got immediately discovered anyway, losing all their gear, getting it back, then burning it themselves before killing eachother, is just so fucking funny. the new blues had freshman orientation while the new reds had a trial by fire canon event

#persona 4 golden #p4g #hanamura yosuke #yosuke hanamura #i think a lot about the depth of yosuke's loneliness - away from th distractions of the city and losing even the superficial r/s that he ha #of course he would hate inaba #the moment he arrived in the town he was treated as an enemy for reasons he couldn't control #junes did destroy local businesses and the townspeople's fear of big chain capitalism is justified #BUT their treatment of him was not. i wanna say that the people in inaba were awful but actually theyre just... people.#they couldnt fight Junes or engender systemic change so they take it out on him instead and ostracize him with names and tacks in his shoes #and to add to that all of his already existing self doubt and identity issues #and the problems of growing up as a teenage boy in the early 2010s figuring out his place in society #i think yosuke is very similar to kanji in that both of them have that same struggle of their self being misaligned with social expectation #so they play up this exaggerated caricature or image based on who they think they are supposed to be #in kanji's case it's an image that lets him control his rejection - he looks like a scary gang member so ofc no one wants to be near him #in yosuke's case he goes in the opposite direction of desperately wanting to fit the mould or image of a typical teenage boy #except there isnt such a thing as an “average” teenage boy so hes just such a mess sometimes #but masking so that hes accepted by others as just a teenage boy and not the prince of junes or anything? yeah.#haha my heart #he's good with his queue

I hate shoe shopping, but I was getting to a point where every non-boot pair of shoes I own had holes in them, so I've finally replaced them... by finding identical versions on Depop 🤭 I still feel incredibly refreshed, I'm practically a new person.

#the only ones that I couldn't find the exact same shoes for #were ones I bought in Japan #but I found a very close match #I like having shoes as a style element but I am so incredibly picky #like the tiniest things can make or break a pair of shoes for me #so acquiring them is just awful #so when I find ones I like I hold onto them as long as possible #this is the firdt time I've realized I could just buy the same ones again #I also bought a backup pair of the boots #just in case #btw I do repair shoes when I can #hence why the boots are fine #but inexpensive sneakers and flats can't be repaired so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have another plot idea you all might have fun with!

An Alicent Stan dies and is reborn as Rhaenyra Targaryen. Armed with the knowledge of the show and filled with affection for her favorite character, Alicent, MC resolves to do things the "right way" and act nothing like the horrid, spoiled, selfish monster that Rhaenyra is. Unfortunately, The Dance still happens, it turns out that Alicent is fucking unbearable and a terrible friend, Criston Cole is a creep who constantly oversteps, Viserys won't listen to her pleas to let her abdicate in favor of Aegon, Rhaenyra/MC are truly alone with no one to guide them or take seriously and nothing is simple for our modern MC who is out of her depth.

Never Meet Your Heroes is a fic about things not being as they seem, the dangers of placing somebody on a pedestal, helping the patriarchy does more harm than good, and the woes of a modern woman living in a feudalistic society.
