I appreciate that I've not seen much of it here, which is where he seemed to live, but man does Bluesky want to ruin everything a certain author touched.
And I get it. It's hard to learn someone you respected, looked up to, maybe even worshiped a little--judging by the reactions--has done something heinous.
What I don't understand is why you'd let that ruin the good they did, the words they wrote or said that made you feel something.
All human beings are capable of being horrible, wealth and fame only put it on display in brighter colors when it happens.
So stop supporting him, ignore any new thing he does.
But don't let it ruin how his writing made you feel, how his words might have helped you. He doesn't deserve that kind of power, no one does.
#was his believe that writing is an ethereal thing everyone is immediately gifted at and you should just do it a pile of horseshit?#yes because writing takes work no matter who you are#but that just makes him an idealist with too much ego#not an asshole#the other things make him an asshole#why yes i am purposefully avoiding a name#i don't want this searchable

matt dillon characters' zodiac signs
this came to me in a dream so i needed to write it out because i think too much about him. i didn't get all his major roles because i felt like we didn't see enough sides of the character to determine their sign (ex. jack duncan in liar's moon) but let me know if u agree or have other hcs!!
richie white (over the edge): taurus
extremely stubborn, loyal in a 14 year old delinquent way. his repeated 'a kid who tells on another kid is a dead kid'. at the same can be self centered and over indulgent: thinking of him ditching carl at the party, all his shenanigans with the gun, and the final car chase. he loves the attention on him! also stoners like him are very taurus coded, not even stereotyping because i am a taurus and i just know he is one. (was.)
tex mccormick (tex): libra
this is actually canon because his bday is october 22nd in the movie. but also makes sense. he has the effortless charm/flirtiness ("god gave me my face but he let me pick my nose" - most libra thing ever.) and is also idealistic to a fault, he lives in his own world and isn't very grounded in reality. matt has said he played tex as a simple and naive kid, and that to me is very libra. libras are my fav <333
dallas winston (the outsiders): scorpio
also canon but very obvious i feel like i don't need to explain this. he's got that intensity and darkness in his emotions under the surface of secrecy and danger. resourceful and fiercely loyal which is why he's the go to greaser when pony and johnny are in trouble. he's unbelievably calm and level headed on the surface even in such an emotional situation - very scorpio.
since this character is so fledged out i feel like i can also say at least in the movie version that he's 100% a scorpio rising with his eyes and dark facial features/intimidating resting face.
pretty sure canonically he has an aquarius moon based on his birthday, but personally i don't see that. aquarius moons are eccentric and freedom loving and dally is very repressed. i think he's a leo moon. he's controlled by his emotions and ego and has the tendency to self sacrifice, as we see.
rusty james (rumble fish): gemini
constant need to be independent and self-reliant. if you pay attention rusty james is constantly fidgeting/tapping his fingers and that's very gemini to me, they can't settle down. also his insane mood swings, going from soft spoken to ready to fight at any moment (thinking of patty argument + all his interactions with steve lol).
bob hughes (drugstore cowboy): capricorn
him being intelligent/calculated/ambitious is the foundation of his character. he of course has that inner need for stability in his relationships which is so earth sign. but this is obvious to me only because every capricorn i've ever met has the most insane hustling hardworking mentality ever. and one thing about bob is he is a hustler for those pills!!! also because capricorns kinda scare me sometimes.. they can be cold.
sam lombardo (wild things): sagittarius
i actually hate sag men so much so i'm gonna try to remain neutral even though i did enjoy sam's character a lot. sags to me are like a ticking time bomb, like they can explode at any minute. very unpredictable, brave, confident, abrasive. all of sam's elaborate plotting and violence... only a sag could think of all of that and go through with it. also tendency toward greed and fierce independence which ends up being his downfall. don't forget good in bed (banging all of blue bay).
#i'm going crazyyy tell me you agree#matt dillon#dallas winston#rusty james#jack duncan#bob hughes#tex mccormick#sam lombardo#the outsiders#rumble fish#tex 1982#liars moon#drugstore cowboy#wild things

Can I put in my ask for a celebrity request tarot reading for Heeseung of enhypen how he acts around his crush and pursue them? I haven’t seen much on him at all🥺🥲
ෆ⸒⸒ how he acts around his crush
two of cups 𖦹 star 𖦹 seven of cups
when i tried to connect with heesung i felt so shy all of a sudden and at the same time i felt like a giggly kid. this reminded me of a romance trope wherein the male lead wants to get to know and be close to the mc but he's contemplating if he should do it or not because he feels like the mc is too hard to reach and seems impossible because the male lead thinks that other people also wants to be close to the mc. this trope reminded me of the anime kimi ni todoke ✧⁺⸜(・ ᗜ ・ )⸝⁺✧
going back , heesung may try to build a rapport with his crush through means of showing interest in what his crush is currently doing. he may also be attentive to them and would even do some research about the person's likes and dislikes. the lyrics "you are the light to my darkness , i just realized it" from queen of tears ost kept on replaying in my mind. heesung will see his crush in a dreamscape way and how this person made him feel inspired. i sensed that he may tend to have an idealistic view of someone , lost in clouds. it's like he believes that something beautiful could come out between him and his crush.
i'm also getting as to how heesung might get lost in his own thoughts or fantasies about his crush. i felt that his feelings could get a little bit scattered , leading to moments of not knowing how to act in front of his crush. he may also overthink the possibilities of being together with the person he likes and how it makes him feel lost or even confused. because of it , he may come across as someone distant ? it's also possible that he may have multiple crushes at the same time. "if it doesn't work , there's another".
i'm picking up on energy wherein if i find out that crush a is in a relationship with someone else , i'll choose crush b. i think this is where the "distant" part is coming in for heesung because he'll detach himself once he finds out something about his crush ? and how he'll rethink his decisions ?
fxiry : i'm shook by the amount of infos heesung gave me and how he has a lot to say.
ෆ⸒⸒ how he pursues them
trout 𖦹 lily of the valley 𖦹 quail 𖦹 gooseberry 𖦹 weasel 𖦹 pine
he's going to put himself on a standstill ? because i sensed that heesung may try to reflect or perhaps make a careful plan on how he's going to pursue his crush. "observing from afar" he's making sure that once he did make a move on someone it wouldn't end badly or get himself hurt. a clash between the heart and the mind or possibly a battle between the ego. he also wants to protect the peace he built for himself too.
the bags lyrics "can you see me ? i'm waiting for the right time" by clairo pop-up. i feel that heesung may prefer if his crush does the move first because he's scared that if he's the one who initiates the move things won't go according to his plan / will. he could also be wary that he may pour his affinity on the wrong one. this could also explain the multiple crushes thing. he also feels unsure if his feelings are going to be reciprocated by his crush or if they're on the same wavelength as him.
fxiry : i feel that heesung is more keen in giving musical lyrics for his reading rather than through cards :'

If you don't mind sharing, I would love to know what you think people get wrong about Toby and Josh! (this is not a trap, I have no strong feelings and am genuinely just interested)
Yeah totally!! So I will say I think within The West Wing fandom on tumblr people get these characters more right than the general audience.
Toby is just an incredibly complex character. I go even farther than most (including, like, Richard Schiff) because I don't think Toby is cynical at all. Maybe by the end of the show, but certainly not when we meet him and not throughout the first four seasons. Cynicism isn't really allowed to exist in the Sorkin West Wing. Toby is the most idealistic character on the show and he is the way he is because he is constantly disappointed and frustrated. The world never lives up to his expectations but he never adjusts his expectations. It goes beyond hope, he really does expect better because he genuinely believes the world or in some cases a person, e.g. Jed Bartlet, has a potential it's not living up to. That's why we meet Toby as a professional political operative who has never won an election, who puts his job on the line and alienates all his coworkers because he's so committed to what he believes is right. Toby is an uncompromising idealist, which is an exhausting way to exist, and it makes him depressed, which is why Andi can't live with him even though I believe she still loves him. I hate that in season 7 Bartlet claims Toby thinks of himself as morally superior and that he always knew this would become a problem, because the dynamic we're given in season 1 is that Bartlet thinks of Toby as morally superior and relies on him for that perspective.
Josh is a wildly popular character and one of the more consistently written characters in the show so just about everybody gets the broad strokes of him right, but I think he's prone to flanderization and the complexities of him are frequently missed. Josh isn't someone who loves dirty politics. He isn't really someone who will do whatever it takes to win; he's willing to do a lot, but there are certain lines he only tries to cross when he's really desperate and each time it's framed as an unusual choice for him and he tends to reflect on it with some discomfort afterwards. Josh is the pragmatist who knows someone has to get their hands dirty, and he does it not because he wants to but to keep the president and Leo and anyone else he's working for clean. He's motivated primarily by loyalty, but that in and of itself is idealistic. He defends Hoynes because he does see a good side to Hoynes, a side the audience gets to see glimpses of later. Josh does leave Hoynes for Bartlet because he's tired of Hoynes not living up to the potential he sees in him and he's infected by Bartlet's idealism, but it's a decision he feels guilty about for years afterward. I think people have a tendency to exaggerate Josh's ego, too. He beats his chest (literally) in private but he doesn't want public credit; the reason he doesn't want to be "the guy" is he doesn't have the ego for it. Josh is not self-centered at all and I think that's a big thing people miss about him. And his tendency to screw up or shoot off at the mouth is real but also exaggerated and when it does happen it's just as much an expression of frustrated idealism as Toby's choices.
I think the really crucial part that's often missed is the dynamic between Toby and Josh and their respective roles in the Bartlet administration. The reason Bartlet for America and later Jed Bartlet's presidency is successful is a balance between Josh's pragmatism and Toby's uncompromising idealism. The campaign needs both and Bartlet needs both perspectives. Leo recognizes that and brings him both and Josh and Toby, for all they butt heads, recognize it too. That's why everyone on the show has such an underlying respect for each other. CJ and Sam are crucial to the team too of course they just don't have neat narrative foils the way Josh and Toby do in each other.

ATEEZ Park Seonghwa Tarot Reading - Personality
Disclaimer: I do tarot readings for fun, so please read them with a grain of salt. Don’t take my words too seriously and just keep an open mind. Tarot is a divination tool that can’t predict the future, as every single individual has their own will and makes their own decisions. Tarot is not a fixed fate. It should be seen as a guidance and a good friend that just has your best interest and gives you advice when needed. I’m not putting anyone in my readings on a pedestal nor am I trying to harm anyone. One last side note, I’m not a native speaker, so please excuse any wrong spellings or poor grammar.
Date of reading: July 4th 2024
Decks: Edgar Allen Poe Tarot, Wild Mystic Oracle
his personality is very versatile and has many different facades
it’s like a rainbow, i see all kinds of colors in this spread
he’s very intuitive and sensitive
could be idealistic as well
opportunities will always find him
seeks emotional fulfillment in everything he does, whether it’s his career, his relationships, his hobbies, really anything
loves to daydream and fantasize
has a blooming imagination
could be childish at times
his naivety could cause problems at times
always down for an adventure
likes to live on the edge sometimes and is quite risky
he loves his freedom and gives other people the freedom they need as well
has a sincere and pure heart
is usually very optimistic
but he tends to doubt, sometimes even hate himself
but at the same time he can also be pretty arrogant
he lacks self confidence and inner strength
is sometimes overwhelmed by his own emotions
this could lead to anger issues when triggered, i also see some aggression here
but this comes from a place of fear and anxiety, it’s his way of coping with that
he has a hard time being vulnerable
he sets unrealistic goals for himself which are impossible to fulfill and end up in him feeling empty and unsatisfied
he’s quite melancholic
enjoys some lazy time
he can be ego-driven
he could be indulging in excess
loves traveling and is interested in other cultures
success is almost always on his side
is good at problem solving
doesn’t focus on his health as much as he should
similar to Hongjoong he kinda ignores his own wellbeing at times
is a curious, generous and cheerful being
helps others organizing their chaos
he’s actually quite introverted, he could be an ambivert
he leaves a lasting impression on others
Hope you enjoyed!
Love, nicky 🫧

“WHY ARE YOUR TAGS LIKE THAT?” OR: RED GUY DUCK AND YELLOW GUY ARE THE EGO SUPEREGO AND ID TO THE ENLIGHTENED MIND, A MASTERPOST
BASICALLY: the ego, superego, and id are freudian concepts of how the mind works in psychoanalytic theory. i match up the three protagonists of don’t hug me i’m scared with these concepts. here’s my insane person, long-winded explanation as to why.
THE EGO: rational, realistic, practical. the true self, the mediator between the other two. very concerned with self-preservation.
THE SUPEREGO: idealistic, critical, perfectionist. the judge, jury, and executioner.
THE ID: impulsive, childish, emotional. pure desire. associated with sexuality and romance.
the characters have been described by joe pelling as “the middleman” “cynical and fussy” and “optimistic and idiotic” respectively
RED GUY: is CONSTANTLY the mediator between yellow and duck. the only one seen in the “real world,” and the ego is the self presented to the outside world. the “worm in his brain” has to do with outward appearance.
DUCK: famously hostile and judgmental, constantly associated with the military (authority figures), even becomes a dictator in the scrapped pilot. his aggression is often targeted towards yellow, who he deems too emotional and sensitive and deserving of it the most. the “worm in his brain” has to do with morality.
YELLOW GUY: while he is often read as asexual and aromantic (which i agree with!), he has multiple “love interests,” even if none of them are played straight. his brain friends are all very emotional and have nothing resembling a voice of reason, and no way of handling warren (who can be interpreted as an intrusive thought) without enabling him. the “worm in his brain” has to do with relationships.
MISC DYNAMIC THOUGHTS: when yellow claims “grolton is the dog,” red corrects him gently and politely and duck swiftly shuts him down and tells him to shut up (there’s a lot of instances of red gently correcting yellow and duck doing it harshly, but to my memory this is the only time they do it with the exact same thing). during the friendship fight, red implies he’s told duck to stop being so harsh on yellow. duck has to intervene to remove warren (again, here a symbol of intrusive thoughts) as yellow is physically incapable of doing so on his own.
CLOSING THOUGHTS: do i think this theory is the key to understanding what dhmis is about? not at all! i personally believe that dhmis is just made for fun and with no deeper meaning than “becky and joe made something fun to make each other laugh.” do i as a psychology enthusiast think it’s an interesting way to interpret the text? yeah. my theory is flawed, for sure- yellow is concerned with keeping harmony and is usually nonviolent despite the id’s association with aggression, duck is the least likely to go along with the teachers (authority figures, when the superego gets its moral system directly from them), red often doesn’t care about the other two, among other things, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun for me to think about!
if you’ve made it this far, thank you so much for reading! feel free to ask any questions and i would be very happy to answer them, as i’m very passionate about this theory and love to discuss it. love you!

If I could rework Ra's al Ghul conceptually, I think I'd make him occupy a similar place as Doctor Doom, an entertaining and difficult to deal with fact of life that represents a valid if flawed worldview. This is the direction I'd shift him in:
-Incredibly intelligent and prepared as a rule
-Wildly well resourced
-Still an antagonist but with a moral framework that sometimes leans kind of blue/orange
-Has things and people that he truly cares about in ways that are deeply understandable and even admirable
-Honestly? Kind of has a point ideologically, the problem lying in how he goes about achieving it
-Big ego that he sort of deserves
-Has a master goal that makes sense for an immortal with lots of perspective, even if the drawn conclusion is wrong. This is a big one. You have to be able to believe that he truly could be so smart and experienced and decide to die on the hill he does, without just hand waving him as being crazy. The incoherent ecoterrorism based genocide plot works for hot mess era Poison Ivy, not an immortal, well read mastermind who has had hundreds of years to actually come up with real solutions. (And even Ivy has moved on from that, like--)
-Maybe lean away from the Lazarus corruption angle because it's wildly inconsistent and unclear as to what effect it actually has and kind of provides an easy way out instead of forcing Batman and the reader to actually contend with his ideas.
And this is not to say he can't be an unfortunate influence in Damian and Talia's life. But I think it's all much more interesting if the Bruce/Ra's dichotomy doesn't have a wildly obvious moral high ground that positions Bruce as the white savior, swooping in with his evolved western ideals. I think Talia is more rewarding as an idealist who is truly forced to make a hard decision between two men she loves dearly, both as people and for the values they represent, and maybe ends up somewhere in between, coming up with a philosophy that works for her. For that to work their frameworks actually have to be comparable. Parents can mess you up even when they're trying their absolute best and love you dearly, he doesn't have to be cartoonishly cruel to their bodies and minds to get to the point of familial dysfunction.
I'm just going to say it, I think It's time we move on from the evil mystical Arab terrorist that doesn't value human life or women or the wishes of his own family and has no real constructive goal or politics--like I've only been implying it so far, but the inherent racism in the construction of Ra's al Ghul is A LOT to deal with and makes it very difficult to actually enjoy him as a character. Conceptually he's got too much potential to just be a caricature. We live in a world where the Joker is positioned as some kind of ideological foil to Batman, instead of a character with ACTUAL IDEALS.
And enough with the biological determinism stuff! Stop that! Stop that right now! I'm putting "nature vs nurture" on a high shelf until you can behave and not use it to be racist. It might not be coming back people! A thousand years in the dungeon! A thousand years of pain!

My attempt to fix Wish's plot
Things I would do to make Wish a better movie :D
Disclaimer: This is because I have too much free time on my hands and this seemed like a fun thing to do. This is all in good fun :).
Make Magnifico a normal citizen as opposed to King
Magnifico's song suggests he's unhappy with the respect he gets which doesn't really translate the evilness as much, it's more delusional(?) because he's the king and is treated like a celebrity, what respect is he not getting? Unless 7 kids questioning is enough to send him into a spiral but let's be honest he isn't very well written.
Now if we make him a common man who's only known for granting wishes, it paints a different picture. Why is he just a common man if he can grant almost any wish? This could be because of how the kingdom views him(the real villains in this version).
treating him nicely doesn't suit their ego because he's not royalty, he's a commoner who has magic powers
eliminating him after the reputation he's built for himself is too detrimental politically, as the citizens are too distracted to notice how bad the queen and all are.
This attitude makes the people kind of thankless towards him, especially since he only grants people their wishes once in 18 years (meaning 1 person can wish every 18 years and Magnifico will grant them after negotiating so as to keep it from going overboard). He's a resentful man who hates the situation he's caught up in.
No one ever asked Magnifico what his wish is, and when asked, he doesn't have an answer because he's never thought about it. His tragic past made him this person who wants to help people, but he got caught up so far along and his true meaning has been left so far behind he's hateful.
Asha should have a "selfish" wish
I feel if Asha had a normal optimistic wish, it would make her character more relatable, but also make her seem overly idealistic, which can be seen as obstacle for her to overcome over the course of the movie, and how rather than trying to wish the impossible, sometimes its better to let it go.
Her wish is to bring her dead father back to life.
Why i think is open to interpretation, but in a land where nearly any wish can be granted, her having an impossible wish seems like a good plot point.
The Plot
Asha turns 18 and can finally make her wish. She wishes for her dead father to come back to life. Magnifico is annoyed and tries to explain that this wish can't be granted and tells her to get lost.
Asha begs and pleads to him a lot and this is where Magnifico reaches his breaking point. He's fed up of the entire kingdom treating him like a slave who's only job is to grant people their wishes, so he decides to take his revenge.
Magnifico tells Asha that the only way to bring a dead person back to life is by a using a certain spell (a lie) from a book located in the royal library.
Determined, Asha manages to trick the guards into entering the castle, pretending to be a maid, and she tries to steal the book but gets caught red handed by the queen.
Pressured, Asha tells the queen everything, and the queen tells her that the book she's trying to steal is fake, and the real book is on the other side of the country. Asha gets the location of the book and the queen tells Asha to bring the book and Magnifico back when she's done with her wish. The queen is evil but Asha tries to believe that isn't the case.
She shares her findings with Magnifico and together embark on a journey to get the book.
The purpose of this trip it to make some bonding between Asha and Magnifico, where Asha finds out how much Magnifico is mistreated in the kingdom, how he learnt magic to protect his family, all of whom had passed, leaving 1 or 2 younger siblings. Asha also learns that Magnifico actually can grant wishes without the 18 year gap, its just a lie to shut people up.
Magnifico learns about the impact Asha's father has had on her and her family members, and understand why Asha wants them back, but fails when he tris to talk her out of her wish, explaining how its important to let some things go.
Anyway they complete their journey, find a spooky book full of black magic, and magnifico uses the spell book to make her a device that can bring back one dead person, although magnifico is skeptical about all this. He tells her to do that on the night of a full moon just to be on the safe side.
Side by side, Magnifico creates a powerful wand for himself, which he plans to use to lay waste on the kingdom. But after he acquires the wand, he tells Asha to take her family away from the kingdom on the night they reach back the kingdom, because Magnifico doesn't want Asha to die in the crossfire.
But as that happens, Asha and Magnifico are surrounded by the royal army, being asked to surrender the resurrection device, the book, and Magnifico. The queen's plan is to kill Magnifico and absorb his wish granting power using the book so she can rule the kingdom with an iron fist.
The queen manages to get the book and the resurrection device and offers Asha the resurrection device in exchange for Magnifico, a trade which Asha complies to after much hesitation. Magnifico feels betrayed and doesn't say a word as he's being taken away, but the queen doesn't hold her end of the deal, and refuses to give the resurrection device. The queen leaves with Magnifico and threatens Asha to not speak about the incident else she will use magic to wipe out her friends and family.
Asha cries as the sun sets, disappointed in herself that she gave up Magnifico, something she shouldn't have done even if she had gotten the resurrection device. Asha sees a wishing star and decides it is time to right her wrongs, and save Magnifico. Asha also notices the wand that Magnifico had made was left here, and the queen didn't notice it. Asha messes with the wand and decides its time to fight.
Fighting happens yay
In the end the queen ends up absorbing Magnifico's wish granting powers, and is about to kill Asha when she pulls an Aladdin on her and uses that to deliver the final blow as she perishes away. Asha rushes to Magnifico's dying body and apologizes to him as he dies without saying a word. The entire kingdom sees this scene. Asha feels sad that Magnifico lost his life, especially since this journey had made them so much closer together, she saw Magnifico as a family member, and couldn't bear with her loss.
Her mother points out the full moon among the settling dust and Asha knows that she has to do the resurrection right now, before she loses her chance. She activates the device and is transported to a heaven like place, clear skies, a floor of reflective water, but no one else is there. After looking around she finds her dad.
Asha rushes to her father and gives him a hug and they look at each other while crying. Asha points out how she got to him with Magnifico's help and the resurrection device, but can't bring herself to bring her father back to life. She can't say anymore words, they just refuse to come out. Her father breaks the silence and says he knows, but it is not him who has to go back, and shows her the way to Magnifico.
Asha and her father make their way to Magnifico, who is weeping on the floor. Asha calls out to Magnifico, but he's distancing himself from both of them, not out of anger but out of fear. Magnifico realized that Asha has come back for him but refuses to go back. Asha tells Magnifico that he didn't deserve to lose his life like this, and that she's sorry for giving up on him, and she doesn't want to lose him.
Magnifico is touched, but points out that he's lost all of his magic. Even if he goes back, people will refuse to acknowledge him, especially since he can't do the one thing that people come to him for. And Asha doesn't know what to say. She gently holds his hands, and tells him everything will be ok, because she will make sure that Magnifico can live happily, and doesn't have to go back to the painful days from before.
Trusting Asha, he goes back with her to the real world, where he wakes up and is hugged by Asha. Magnifico looks around and sees the looks of people's faces, all of whom know that Magnifico has lost his magic, but everyone comes o Magnifico's aid and apologises to him.
We fast forward a bit, the royal family was driven out of power, living as normal citizens now and people start to look into changing their political system. Magnifico starts a Bakery, which was his wish all along, and Asha works with him. Asha learns to work towards her own wishes. The end
That was a lot, if anyone read the whole thing please share your thoughts with me. Byeeee

Astrological Placements of the 118:
Before I begin, these are my headcanons and while you are free to disagree, don’t rain on my parade pls and thank you. Also I’m not an expert and don't have every placement for each character, I just find astrology interesting and if anyone wants to add their thoughts on these then go for it!
Buck
Cancer Sun: Our sun signs is our egos, so when I say cancer sun, I’m talking about his persona. He’s sensitive, emotional, loving, in touch with his emotions, he is a feeler more than a thinker, he is overly protective of the ones he sees as family and I think cancer sun suits him very well. Also, Oliver is cancer sun, too, so that’s not really a reach (Also hello his head/heart tattoo).
Aries Moon: Our moon sign is how we process our feelings, like which sign we feel our emotions. Aries is a fire sign and can be hot blooded, passionate, driven and fiery. When you think of Buck, his mood go from 0 to 100 within seconds. Most of the time, he acts on his emotions and thinks later. He is impulsive and his feelings run high. That screams aries moon to me.
Leo Rising: Our rising sign is how people see us when they first meet us and their first expression on us. Leos are there. Your eyes just can’t ignore them. They are flirty, they are loud, they get your attention without even trying. They look sure of themselves. That’s Buck for you.
Leo Venus: I mean come on. Praise kink. Over the top gifts. Venus is how we show our love, our aesthetic so to speak. Remember that hot air balloon Buck got for Abby? Dinners in expensive restaurants? That expensive coffee machine for Eddie? He loves to pamper his lovers and wants to be pampered in return. Satisfying his lovers is so important for him because it also means he is good at what he’s doing, which boosts his ego.
Eddie
Virgo Sun: His petty ass is just screams virgo. He is sarcastic, organized, ACT OF SERVICE, calm, disciplined. That man is a virgo.
Virgo Moon: Emotional constipation. He tries to rationalize his feelings instead of actually feeling them. He feels deep, but doesn't show it and sometimes he doesn't even let himself feel. But he cares so fucking much. Also, having a routine definitely makes them feel better.
Scorpio Rising: Tell me this man isn't gorgeous. He is magnetic, he is sexy, he is mysterious, from the moment you see him you want to know everything about him, he is captivating. He has this vibe to him that leaves you interested.
Capricorn Venus: One word. Stability. He won't open up to you unless he sees you in his future (Hello, Ana). I also headcanon Eddie as demisexual so that may play some part in this, but he isn't the one to fool around just for the sake of it, he wants someone to settle with in the long term and if that person doesn't check every box, then it means nothing. Oh also, he is bossy so...
Bobby
Taurus Sun: He is just so fatherly, so warm, a good leader and a very good cook, Bobby exudes comfort and security, when I think of Bobby I think of a taurus.
Air/Earth Moon: I can't say for sure, but he is either an air moon or an earth moon. He knows when to switch off his feelings and do what needs to be done. He goes after what he wants and is protective as fuck.
Cancer Venus: I think he is very sensual, family oriented, playful, committed. He will make you feel loved in everyway, he will listen to your troubles and share your feelings even if he can't do much more.
Hen
Aquarius Sun: Her whole personality is about resistance to me. She is cool, unique, funny, idealistic, rebellious. That's Hen for you.
Libra Rising: The way she carries herself is so elegant. Libra's ruler is venus and venus is about beauty, aesthetics, and Hen just knows how to do it. The way she dresses, the way she talks. Always on point.
Gemini Venus: Geminis needs mental stimulation. Her wife is an astrophysicist 😃 she wants someone she can talk to about anything and who she can be free with, or she's out.
Chimney
Sagitarrius Sun: Literal light of the room. He is so positive, so lighthearted, so carefree, so fun to be around and so intellectual. I just know Chimney knows so much about philosophy and stuff like that.
Scorpio Moon: Hesitant and suspicious at first but once you earn his trust he is passionate and doesn't go down without a fight. He feels intense, he is sensual, he is a lover.
Fire Venus: Chimney is a freak in bed. I know he is. And, he is in it to win it.
Bonus
Athena: Capricorn Sun, Gemini Moon, Virgo Venus (she is kinky af)
Maddie: Pisces Sun, Fire Moon, Earth Venus

Hi! Can i request a romantic matchup for star wars, hp marauders and DC? :3 (sorry if i make any mistakes english is not my first language :3) Anyways, about me: I'm bisexual and demisexual. She/her pronouns but neutrals are fine. Infj 4w3, big 3 are; gemini sun, taurus moon, sag rising. I have short dark hair and I loveeee to style it like marilyn monroe (I'm obsessed with old hollywood) I have olive pale skin and dark brown eyes, I'm 5'7 and skinny but not too much mostly because I'm a figure skater! idk i think im really pretty! Mexican with italian and native family. Older sister that basically took raised her little brother and depressed mom (damn.)I love my family and basically love human interactions lmao. Extrovert (? idk) my friends describe me as likeable, charismatic, clumsy, witty, confident, idealistic, caring and nice. I love making people feel comfortable and welcome. People that don't like me may describe me as argumentative, annoying, stubborn, greedy, with ego or even mean and i'm not going to deny anything of that tbh. I loveeee feeling pretty and I'm a girly nerd girl, champagne colors, black and pink are def my thing. I love political science, neuropsychology, literature, women history and pyshics. My specials interests are: old hollywood, star wars (mostly obi-wan kenobi lol) manifestation, barbie and Sylvia plath. And yes, I'm autistic but I work with it really well. I love to perform and all that stuff, I was in a band, playing guitar and singing, musicals, figure skating, ballet etc. I don't talk about my problems to anyone, i just write them down because i don't really like to worry people and i know it's not healthy but idc. I always manage to be optimistic but realistic. I'm a perfectionist and I reaaaaally hate doing something wrong so that's mostly when I have my mental breakdowns lmao. Quite touchy with people i really like, hugs, touching faces, playing with hair, toying with hands, but I always make sure that they're okay with it! Also i'm quite bubbly and flirty but I'm not really interested on someone(mostly because now relationships are really weird, help.), I'm really specific with what i want and i have high standards. I hate: thunderstorms(im really scared of them) crowded places were i'm alone, really negative people, pick me's, pumpkins, immature people, facists, last minute surprise, people with horrible communication skills. Sand and the beach. Maps and driving, unfair stuff, sexism and men being stupid. I love: summer and spring, animals, makeup, any kind of music but my favs are: mcr, britney spears, fiona apple, the cardigans, marina, lana del rey, ariana grande, nine inch nails, the cure and bikini kill. Stawberrys, gossip girl, mexican soap operas (I LOVE RUBI AND TERESA!!!) comics and nerdy stuff (It all started because i wanted to prove a boy that I hated that I knew more about star wars than him and I ended up watching all the movies, series and reading all prequels books lmao)playing legos with my little brother, baking and having debates with my literature teacher.
Hello! I'm sorry this has taken so long to get posted! I hope you like it nonetheless! (I also love old hollywood! I love marilyn, audrey hepburn, and cary grant!) Enjoy! <33333

🌙 You didn't see Obi-Wan until when you and your friends we drinking in the nearby cantina; your friends gestured to the mysterious man across the bar, and you followed their line of sight - seeing the man that you had passed earlier that day, your friends hyped you up to go over and talk to him
🌙 The conversation floooowed, and I mean flowed, the instant connection that you had with this man was undeniable and intoxicating - you couldn't get enough of his voice and how his words seemed to grapple and pull you right in; it wasn't until later in the night that you found out his name, Obi-Wan Kenobi
🌙 Months later, Obi-Wan, trapped in the Jedi Laws, tried to hide how much he enjoyed your presence, but it was difficult, in the end - risking his Jedi life and duty - he confessed who he truly was, but you still loved him all the same
🌙 Your and Obi's relationship was kept a secret, even from most of your friends, though Anakin quickly figured it out - you and Obi were a perfect match, always there for each other, always understanding and caring towards one another; you both loved each other to the moons and back... And then some

Harry Potter (Marauders);
James Potter:
✨ You met James at Hogwarts, and you instantly felt a connection between the two of you - it wasn't long until the both of you were flirting with one another, joking around, having a few laughs; the feelings you had for each other were unspoken, but understood
✨ You and James were inseparable, whenever you could, you'd be together, joined at the hip, no matter the time of day - and you were always touching each other in some way, holding hands, playing with his hair, his arms around you; you'd often squish his cheeks together, James would always blush at the contact
✨ When spending nights together - either just cuddling or talking about your favorite music, comics, or your love for strawberries - and a thunderstorm arises, he is always there for you, distracting you or covering your ears while holding you; if a storm is coming, it's like a sixth sense
✨ During the summer, you and James meet up as much as possible - you get the opportunity to show him your favorite music, movies, and shows - sometimes if you're lucky, James let's you do his makeup
✨ James and your little bro would probably get along beautifully as well, and I would bet that James would love to play with Legos with you and your brother - even though he has no idea what they are in the beginning XD

DC;
Harley Quinn:
♥ You met Harley at one of her roller derby games - being a figure skater, you enjoyed seeing people roller skate - you immediately caught her eyes as she raced around the track; your Marilyn Monroe styled hair was amazing to say the least
♥ She had to tell you how much she loved your hair, and she did after winner her match, meeting you out in the parking lot before you and your friends left; she made sure to compliment you (a lot), and even gave you her card, which you took with a smile
♥ Her card didn't have any number or address, so you believed that it was going to be difficult to find her, but you were surprisingly wrong - small world, even if it was Gotham - you met her at this small convenience store, where you found her waiting for a breakfast sandwich
♥ You and her decided to walk around Gotham together, but the outing was short lived as she was getting chased by like ten people - you didn't see Harley for a long while, but when you did, she had a Hyena and a kid (and a nice car)
♥ You joined Harley and Cassandra (and Bruce) on their adventures, stealing marshmallows from stores, going around town causing slight chaos, and just having a grand ol' time together

Sociotype Profiles — LII
Ego
Leading Ti
The LII naturally assesses statements, opinions, and actions in terms of conformance to certain principles. These principles may in practice be rules of thumb based on experience, but LIIs will usually appeal to more general, self-evident reasons, if the need arises. The LII is most engaged in communication when they are critically analyzing people's decisions and actions as well as how they generally are or are not consistent with certain pre-established goals. their dual, the ESE, likes hearing the LII's judgment, and simultaneously softens its edge by shifting their focus to how they are communicating their ideas, letting them see the intellectual thought process from the outside. The ESE appreciates and praises their ability to take the information seriously, but the ESE will find funny ways of reminding the LII of how they are coming across when they seem more serious than they realize.
"Just because" is not in an LII's vocabulary. If there is a reason for something, the LII will probably want to find it. The LII strives to reduce things to their most essential aspects, and mentally recreate the whole from the bottom up. The LII's theoretical tendencies can often leave him out of touch with reality, and if unchecked may lead to abstract theories that make logical sense but have little bearing on the real world.
The LII may explore many avenues of thought, but in the end only tell others his refined conclusions, because he sees the intermediate steps as irrelevant. He is often too concise for his own good, making it difficult for others to understand his ideas.
Creative Ne
The LII often applies Ti in an academic field such as mathematics, one which allows for abstract speculation to be realized in concrete conclusions. The LII does not much care for implementation or hands-on work, requiring some degree of independence from material demands in order to develop his own ideas. If the LII feels made to do a task he perceives as boring, he will try to find an original way to do it, if simply for the sake of developing an interesting idea. The LII can think on his feet, and is able to consider multiple viewpoints, although if he feels that he has fully analyzed an idea in the past, he may dismiss it out of hand with Ti.
The LII is always in tune with the "big picture", looking at things from the most general perspective possible. Given this frame of reference, he sees many ways ordinary life could be changed to meet his vision of how things should be. Thus the LII is often seen by other more practically-minded types as naively idealistic.
The LII does not come up with ideas simply for their own sake, but tries to relate everything back to "the main point". He quickly becomes impatient or disinterested with discussion that is simply meant to generate ideas, instead of realizing them.
Super-Ego
Role Fi
The LII is acutely aware of social conventions, such as saying "please" and "thank you", and expends much effort to conform to these rules to maintain the status of a "polite" person. But he tends to overdo the conventions themselves, as opposed to the relationships they are supposed to establish, and so ends up stepping on other people's toes (violating some less easily definable convention which he would never really want to conform to anyways). He prefers an easy-going environment where such conventions don't exist in the first place. When in a heated argument, an LII can alienate others by his natural tendency to hold and defend strong opinions (Ti).
If asked to express a unique, personal sentiment, such as a favorite color or football team, the LII may find difficulty choosing if there is no "obvious" answer. He often feels like he has no real personal, subjective feelings at all, and usually has to make a conscious decision where other types could easily supply an instinctive reaction.
The LII also is very sensitive about how other people see him, feeling depressed if he has affections that are not returned. For this reason, he tends to avoid expressing signals that show interest in certain people (as opposed to signals about his general mood and demeanor, which he feels to be much more natural), but of course it just aggravates his loneliness, instead of relieving it.
Vulnerable Se
The LII hates being ordered what to do, and chafes especially under orders that don't make sense to him. In such cases the LII is likely to criticize the authority — but if he does he is not subtle about it, and usually ends up being marked as a "rebel" and feeling even more frustrated than he did to begin with. An LII works best alone, so that he doesn't have to subordinate (to) others — or constantly negotiate his priorities, which strains his patience and diverts his time and attention away from reworking his understanding; if he is forced to waste time defending what he already knows, he gives up the freedom to deepen his understanding further. He does not tolerate pushiness combined with close-mindedness.
The LII does not like being simply told "get real" or "get off your duff", which he views as crude, intrusive, and insulting. He prefers to be left alone - or better, included in an atmosphere of open discussion that is receptive to his thoughts and thereby inspire him to develop them more.
If the LII has a problem that cannot be solved intellectually, but requires direct personal confrontation, he may resort to total avoidance rather than approaching the person directly, which he tends to think will produce only frustration and contempt. The LII thinks that, in an ideal world, everyone would just listen to reason instead of insisting on having their own way.
Super-Id
Suggestive Fe
Being a naturally private person, the LII finds it difficult to believe that others would be interested in what he is thinking or feeling at any given moment. He feels like something is not quite right if his interaction with the people around him is too aloof. However he only rarely makes an effort to venture into more open spheres, because he usually avoids making small talk, preferring to talk about his real interests and say only what he truly believes.
To this end, the LII, above all things, appreciates others' attempts to get him to "open up" emotionally and express his true thoughts and views of the world - not just as an abstract ideal living in his head, but as something that other people actually care about enough to participate in and bring to fulfillment. His focus on important abstract matters also leads him to detach from the world, if it is not complemented with a healthy dose of silliness. The LII is usually oblivious to his emotional-psychological state and feels little responsibility for improving it, not to mention the state of others. This means that "bad emotions" can build up in him until some environmental factor comes along to alleviate them. Visible demonstrations of emotional warmth play a major part in this: something as simple as a big smile and a hug is enough to brighten an LII's day. The LII can be attracted to insincere displays of affection, even if he consciously realizes that they are only in jest.
The LII is often at a loss for what to do in social situations, and appreciates others who make him feel included in a new group and in the emotional side of a situation. The LII tends to take life very seriously, and appreciates others who can show him the lighter side of things.
Mobilizing Si
The LII has poor control over his physical well-being, neglecting matters of simple hygiene relatively easily. He dislikes having to take care of mundane details of work, but simultaneously derives pleasure from aesthetic neatness and organization.
The LII is easily annoyed by sensory over-stimulation, including loud noises, bright light, and temperature. On the other hand, he easily becomes "addicted" to more pleasurable things, such as music, which have a corresponding effect on his mood (Fe). When left to his own devices, the LII tends to oscillate unhealthily between total indulgence of the senses and total neglect (the latter especially when working on something he feels to be extremely important). He tends to feel guilty for indulging in hedonism for the sake of hedonism.
On the surface the LII can seem easygoing, but in work projects or at home his critical nature will become more obvious.
Id
Ignoring Te
The LII is an efficient worker, and seeks out new tools, resources, or methods as long as they are directly relevant to his work or interests. He is not likely to keep especially careful track of his finances, avoiding this by keeping his needs simple and constant.
The LII can easily understand whether something is impractical or not, but prefers to explain why using structural principles. He dislikes rote memorization of dates and the like, but paradoxically will often have a mental store of many arcane pieces of information (such as the first 100 digits of pi) he finds interesting or equally absurd technical skills (like mastering a video game). Such skills and information will either be a part of his leisure activities, or relate directly to his main interests, which he chooses not based on their immediate practical consequence, but on how interesting they are.
The LII only exchanges such information in conversation for entertainment, and criticizes overly bland or rambling analyses, especially if he feels they have no point.
Demonstrative Ni
The LII is a naturally cautious person, and never acts without considering the consequences in detail. This tendency sometimes prevents him from acting decisively—or at all. However, he tries not to be overly pessimistic about the consequences of others' actions, and only offers direct advice in this area if it is specifically requested. If something bad happens he is usually willing to forgive and move on without placing blame, re-establishing the course as subtly and smoothly as possible. While he tends to have very specific ideas about his general life principles and goals, he is basically indifferent as to their specific timeframe and implementation.
The LII has an active imagination, but it tends to fade in and out and its products are rarely verbalized. He hardly ever says purposely cryptic or idiosyncratic things, and criticizes others for employing overly obscure concepts.

Pasting my whole don quixote analysis thread to this site cause i want people to see it. Badly. Reminder i use he/she for donki DO NOT BE JARRED!!!
First of all i think the guy has alot of insecurity about her impulsiveness just. digged there but also feels extremely empty so she tries to make up for it by exaggerating parts of her personality.. THERE COULD BE MANY REASONS! possibly he was seen as emotionless due to being mentally Ill and showing obvious autistic symptoms at one point. which can explain her reaction to the mariachis. I believe she also represses her negative reactions to the things he sees on a daily basis and has been for a good chunk of his life which couldve caused some negative reactions in “friends” who would use this to support the wrongful perceptjon of her as emotional. i feel. she’s definitely hiding SOME shit and also may be exaggerating her personality for other reasons such as. A trauma response and i just believe he’s still the smae loving idealistic perosn at heart.. also the things she is possibly hiding dont seem to be anything too horrifying. So far alot of the signs of her steering away from his past and the internal lack of trust and engagement with the sinners can really justbe compared to what yi sang has done before chapter 4. On the topic of yi sang! Theres a good chunk of parallels between them, such as the fact they were the first two to get promos, their themes of delusion v. Reality, the sin envy in their second attack for both of their base egos, appearing unable to trust other sinners (which i will explain later!) and duitfulness to their ideals. Additionally i can also see donki’s friend group as being formed with a shared goal, as people who are outcasted though slowly with the introduction of new members becoming more torn and corrupted. While in Quixote’s case this seems MUCH worse than Yi Sang, this still would be something shared between them.
I feel like.. family history is similar to hong lu Rich family similar to original book and was probably very sheltered and restrainwd from meeting people possibly due to her family membershaving a poor perceptioj of her. I believe at one point she cut them off and probably decided to become a fixer with sancho which can explain alot of the hints at her being somewhat poor. I think sancho was at first one of the only other people in her life other than her family. I alsk believe there will be some GAY SHIT GOING ON! Back ontopic. I think Sancho either got 1. Corrupted by the rest of donqui’s friends 2. died at some point in which Quixote would probably internally blame himself for Sancho’s death. NOW BLOOD OF SANCHO!!! i believe the reason it need Pride that Quixote often lacks in ids (most importantly base id) is that quixote cannot accept sancho’s death and also cannot accept how horribly the rest of his friends acted towards him But with. The pride needed for the ego don would be able to accept their deaths and still keep sancho in her memory. ADDITIONALLY TELEPOLE. i think telepole relates directly to the repression and abuse and lack of control quixote experienced due to her peers.
I am ill the post is DONE! If you scroll back on my profile i have also made a post on why quixote is jewish. Please read it As well. Talk to me about this guy PLEASE!!!
Oh my vosh and i almost forgot. additionally she seems extreeemely stiff when being with the sinners and honestly seems extremely isolated im believing she was also possibly Not treated like a human whennyounger.. demonized and idolized at the same time and feeling he has to be perfect and knightlike at all times.

The Alderking
If you know my story, you know about the Alderking.
The bad guy that once upon a time turned against his siblings to become the only ruler of the fair fae and was only stopped through a trick and a curse. The king that my main antagonist wants to reawaken so he can start a new order.
But that's pretty much all you know, except for one or two details and cryptic posts about him. So, of course, he doesn't really make a good impression. In this post, though, I want to tell you more about him. Just so you get to know him a little better. Because while yes, he did horrible things, there's still more to him than just that. And wasn't really all bad, either.
Anyways, here's some Alderking facts to better get to know the man behind the legend of his betrayal:
"Alderking" is technically just his title. His real name is Rook, but it is almost forgotten nowadays. People just know him as the Alderking since he was the very first - and the last - to bear this title
out of the first six fair fae regents, he was the first to be "born", so eldest of the six siblings (though technically they weren't really siblings but it's close enough)
he founded the Alder Court, and over the hundreds of years of his reign, it grew and improved a lot, until it turned into quite the impressive kingdom. Rook worked very hard on it, he loved his kingdom
Rook was actually in a poly relationship. He had a wife, Kyndra, and the two had a lover, too, a wild fae named Nia. He loved them both a lot
he also had a daughter, Runa, that (almost) no one knew about. He only saw her once, tough, because he had sent Nia and the baby away once things got tricky, also he was cursed shortly after her birth (Nia was her biological mother, btw, Kyndra sadly couldn't have children)
his royal guard was actually one of the best. He put a lot of work in his guard and is actually the one who "invented" the guard system the other courts still use to this day (together with his brother, Cathan)
while we're already talking about the guard, Rook was an excellent fighter and hunter. He loved tournaments and going on hunts with his "inner circle"
he also adored reading and participating in religious practices and playing around with magic
our dear king was actually a very charming and charismatic person, with quite some humor and good looks. But he was also stubborn and could be quite grumpy. He was a bit of an idealist, too, and an overthinker
Rook had a personal guard who also happened to be one of his best generals and most trusted confidants (he even knew of Runa). His name was Cyprian (yes, it's the guy I never shut up about - and Talon’s ancestor). The two also happened to be best friends. They were really close
I know, it sounds strange when you know how he betrayed his siblings, but he genuinely loved them all. Before he betrayed them, he was a good big brother
His favorites were his brother Cathan (the Ashking) and his sister Caitria (the Willowqueen). He was very fond of the two and helped them out a lot. Especially with Cathan he spent lots of time and he influenced him a lot (you can still see this influence in some places at the Ash Court)
out of his brothers, Rook was the most mature one, but he was also the proudest and the one with the biggest ego, which is one reason why he fell for darkness so easily
Rook was known to be a pretty strict and kind of dominant king, but also hardworking and benevolent. And he was very beloved by his people
he was also pretty powerful. As child of one of the mighty trees, he was capable of magic, like all his siblings. His special magic field was soul magic, which included spirit connection and dream magic)
each of the first regents and their courts had one "special task" (beside protecting their tree), and as the Alderking, it was Rook's task to manage "foreign affairs" and protect all courts from outer threats
because of his task, he had pretty good connections to the wild fae. Most of them respected him because of his power, his courage (something he was known for) and because he hunted down dangerous creatures like forest demons, which were also a threat to the wild fae clans. He was also a member of the Wild Hunt
his sword, Minha’criahn, was a gift from the goddesses and able to cut through everything if he wanted it to. It was made specifically to fit him and it was pretty much holy to him
at his core, Rook was also a bit of a dreamer. Even his betrayal started out with good intentions. He wanted the courts to focus on their main task (protecting the trees) more and to bring them closer together again. But his pride got in his way, and that led to him getting corrupted by the shadow, which is a true shame
one thing is for sure, if his siblings hadn't lured him into a trap back after he got the mighty Alder's power, their courts probably wouldn't have had a chance in the war he had started. Not just because of his new might. Rook was clever, had the better army, and, due to him being corrupted by shadow, had become very ruthless
a fun fact about him taking some of the mighty Alder's power is that now their life forces are woven together, so he can't die or else the tree will decay too (that's the reason he was "only" cursed after all). BUT the problem (that no one knows about) is that his life force gets weaker over the decades, and one day, his mind and soul might die after all, and you all know what that would mean... not me already collecting sequel material
Anyway, i think thats enough on the Alderking for now. Is now a good time to admit that I'm actually quite the Alderking fan? I do adore him despite him ending up being a tyrant. And I hope you do too after this post xD
@bunnymermaidsblog here's my ramble post about the Alderking, I hope you'll enjoy learning more about him
#me? an aldeeking apologist? kinda#i mean i dont support his wrongs but i love him still#this is a collection of pretty random facts im sorry haha#i hope you like it still#gonna reblog with the full tag list tomorrow. i'm too tired now#writer speaks#writeblr#wip: the knights of the alder#not proofread btw we suffer like I will in the morning cause I stayed up late to post this

Hey, Claire, take two of your OCs (😇) and switch them, so they're now playing each other's role in the story and/or life in general. You can make some modifications for gender roles, etc. How would they cope? Would they survive/thrive? Would they not last a day?
:)
Wow, Kate, what an absolutely brilliant ask! However did you come up with something so clever? 🤣
No, but seriously, thank you. And an equally big thank you to @romanceandshenanigans! You were just edged out by a few minutes asking me the same thing!
Okay.
For my MCs from Good Slaves Never Break the Rules, I wouldn't want to completely switch their personalities around. I think at the core they'd remain the same.
But we're definitely looking at a very different (and much less initially likable [Name redacted]. Like Louisa in the original, he would have absorbed many prejudices, some of which, as a rich, privileged male, would likely be downright toxic. That doesn't mean he couldn't grow and change, or that his transformation would be any less rewarding, it's just that the character we initially meet would be very different, and harder to get to know and like. He's probably more reserved, much the way Lou was at first. And of course, his life has its own tragedies -- maybe his sister has similar problems to Lou's brother. Maybe he has a troubled relationship with his dad, who was implied to be not a great guy in the original. But the sense of humor, cleverness, and charm would all be still there, so hopefully he wouldn't be too hard for people to come around to.
Lou meanwhile, would have been exposed to the harshness of the world much, much earlier, so we're definitely looking at a character who's tougher, sassier, and more cynical, though I still want her to keep that idealistic, open-hearted quality she has. Even if she has to be much more guarded because there's no way she would have been able to get to that age as a slave girl without being abused in countless ways, both physically and emotionally. Maybe she was even sold to a brothel at one point and is dealing with baggage from that. In any case, getting her to open up and trust a rich, powerful, charismatic young man who can literally take anything from her that he wants, at any time, with virtually no consequences? Yikes. That's gonna take time.
For [redacted], trying to get her to open up and trust him while trying to tamp down his own lust and his knowledge that he can do whatever he wants -- coupled with pressure from a society that tells him he has a right to do whatever he wants -- is probably just as hard. In fact, in this universe (yes, it's true, I'm so sorry🤣) he and Corey have been BFFs since childhood until he realizes -- one night when Corey tries to go too far with the beautiful slave girl -- how truly toxic his "friend's" attitudes are.
On the other hand, his power is still not limitless. Assuming it's his parents who own her he still doesn't have the power, or likely the money, to free her. And even without the stigma against having sex with or even forming a "relationship" (whatever that might mean in this context) with a slave girl, there would still be the assumption that he would never treat her as anything more than a concubine/mistress, whether he was able to free her or not. Not to mention, Lou has goals and dreams of her own and is not interested in being anyone's mistress, in ANY form.
As for how the rest of the plot might play out? Well, idk, let's throw some ideas out there. Lou of course shocks him by being intelligent and educated, and maybe even has the knowledge of literature that he doesn't, and -- hard as it is for his male ego to take -- offers to help him pass his required English course, which drives them closer. Maybe [redacted] actually has Corey's internship working for Jake and/or Resi, who "innocently" ask to "borrow" the slave girl that she saw at his party, leaving Lou in a position similar to Maeve's in the original. And [redacted] in an impossible position if he wants to keep his prestigious job, support his mother and sister, and not be destitute after his dad gambled away the family money? What if Lou agrees to go because it would help him, with an agreement that he would keep working and try to buy her back? And then if you want a really wild twist, maybe it turns out Keith and Zoe have been out there looking for Lou because she was kidnapped from them as a child and sold into slavery? And then when they find her, they get the totally wrong impression of [Redacted]'s involvement in it all, leaving him to have to prove his love by saving her from whatever evil scheme they've discovered is being concocted?
Idk, just spitballing some ideas. CYOA! (And who would have thought I would ramble for this long answering my own ask?)🤣

“ i want to know what love is to you. ” ( to: aeri )
@goldenheirs / "i want to know..." prompts
A SCOFF. “What is this supposed to be, philosophy class? We’re not in university anymore.” Do forgive her for her imprudence there, Ma-ri; she was in the middle of a sketch when she was interrupted and no one wants to be on the receiving end of Kang Aeri’s temper. Especially when she is in the middle of creating. She was like that too, back when she was a student in the classes outside of her major. Whatever the professor was saying always came second to her doodling, soon to be a masterpiece. Who are they to interrupt the makings of a foundation to timelessness?
Nevertheless, Ma-ri is family now, even if Aeri pities the girl. For crying out loud, Ma-ri is engaged to Bel, of all people. The golden goose with the ego of a peacock. It’s one thing to be oogling him over SNS, but another thing to have to put up with him…for life. Aeri would rather jump off the top of the Kakao’s headquarters, thank you very much.
This being said, she sets her pencil down and leaning back in her chair, crosses her arms. “What, having marital trouble with my brother now? And here I thought you two were living the fairytale happily ever after.” Of course that’s just Aeri rattling off whatever dispatch has been saying about Ma-ri and the oldest Kang’s engagement. In other words, exaggerating the truth, as usual.
“Well it’s definitely not whatever the fuck is happening in that…cesspool.” Love is an interesting word to describe the familial ties within the Kang family. Maybe somewhere, deep down, there is love– loyalty to one’s own kind. It just ends up…twisted, shattered, and corrupted the closer to the surface it gets.
So yes, maybe there is love. But certainly not the kind Aeri seeks out.
“Someone who isn’t fucking exhausting to be around,” she starts though, legs crossing. Better to start with something specific than vague, right? That’s the way most of her sketches start out anyways. AERI the designer doesn’t begin with broad strokes. It must always begin with a specific vision of some part. “If I have to walk eggshells around you for everything I do, it’s not worth it. I’m not giving up my life for just anyone.”
Worth it. Maybe that’s the answer Ma-ri is looking for ultimately. For all the cynicism that runs through all the Kangs, Aeri…well she wouldn’t call herself an idealist or optimistic, but she is confident. Hopeful.
“I wouldn’t be where I am in my career if it wasn’t for my fiancée. I used to think she was the most aggravating person ever.” Devora Diana Song, Aeri is referring to. Although surely Ma-ri knows her, if not at least from the less than savory tales the golden goose has probably recounted about the CEO of the Chosun Ilbo Paper. Aeri considers that fact, alone, to be the cherry on top of all the reasons to come around to her fiancee– if it pisses off her brother, then it is worth pursuing.
But maybe Aeri should’ve realized all along. Even when Devora was aggravating just by existing, Aeri could never keep her eyes off of her. From the pedestal the Kang family has always expected Aeri to stand on, she was always watching Devora. They were always looking at each other, instinctively know that inevitably gravity would pull them towards one another. Soulmates, one might say, but Aeri has never been one for romantic ideals. She glances outside the window, into the sun.
That’s what love is, isn’t it? Enduring. Patient. Inevitable.
( And yet maybe, just maybe, there is a vague thought, she has. That perhaps this is not the first life in which she and Devora have crossed paths. In the vaguest of…flashbacks? Premonitions, there is a picture of them together, under different circumstances, one where the guilt racks on Deva’s back and Aeri’s hands are callused from years of servitude– )
A far off look. Aeri shakes her head. “Anyways, if you really have to ask someone outside your relationship for love advice, maybe you shouldn’t get married. Pity, since we would’ve finally been getting a someone with common sense in the family–”

The clap of her tail could be hardly considered something harsh or even wounding. It would not even leave a bruise, save for maybe on someone's ego. Still, Mizora took note of how Vhaal flinched for a fleeting second and let out the most adorable high-pitched shriek. Male drow had always been easy playthings for any Cambion.
While drow society demanded that its members strive as high as their imagination could grasp, the males were kept deliberately in the bottom rungs of the hierarchy. If they were not killed at birth or did not survive their infancy, a life of pain, bullying and chicanery awaited them. For the female of their species, male drow were often only good for breeding and manual labour, nobody else wanted to touch them.
Male drow being so used to unnecessary violence meant that Cambions could naturally already use a firmer hand. Though, of course, as far as Mizora was concerned, few drow would ever know what true, complete suffering meant. Save for the few who had dared to anger Lolth and paid their prize, the most the males had to fear was waking up bled out on the floor one day. None of it could compare to the torments the Nine Hells put you through. Thus even when a Cambion gave way to their baser impulses, it still often felt like just the tip of the iceberg.
Vhaal's expression of awe and terror at the sight of the Nightmares filled Mizora with pleasure. Hell had that effect on people. Terror would never be enough, awe was such a necessary ingredient too. After all, otherwise, you would never be compelled to make a deal, much less stay loyal. Mizora's grin darkened as she watched Vhaal realise what these horses truly were deep down. A deal with her always had a cost, and Mizora never made unfavourable deals - in this life and the next.
Mizora chuckled and replied: "Who says I am going to be a devil right now, darling?"
It took a while for Vhaal to finally get on the back of his appointed Nightmare. Mizora could see a shard of empathy and pity in his face, born from the knowledge, which he had acquired but never dared to voice out loud. Mushy emotions, which he had to wrestle back under control before he climbed on horseback. The stallion and the mare peered at him, snorting, their fangs bared. Even with the sad glint in their eyes, they could not help but stare at him like he was food.
Mizora responded coldly: "You are not a prince and I am not your princess."
Her body was enveloped by the familiar gorey substance, which she used for teleportation, and the dark orange light. As it disappeared, Mizora turned out to no longer look like a Cambion. Instead, a woman with creme-coloured skin and sleek, dark orange hair sat on the back of the Nightmare, which now resembled a large, black horse. Mizora wore a heavy, travelling cloak, draped over her shoulders, made out of a plethora of furs.
She picked up the reigns and said: "To the nearest town, of course. Where else, Vhaal?" Smacking the reigns down, Mizora pressed her thighs against the horse's back. The Nightmare neighed briefly before it started to move and after some tutting and urging from Mizora fell into a canter.
They rode side by side, the mare and stallion easily keeping pace with one another. Leaving the camp behind themselves, they headed through the forest and followed a trodden-down path, used by many riders before them. Birds chirped and squirrels flitted between the branches. The sunlight broke through the branches and drew intricate patterns across the floor and the horses. There was a remarkably idealistic silence compared to the chaos of the crash of the Nautiloid and the conflict of the Emerald Grove.
Exciting the forest, they laid eyes on a town, which lay on a slope near a river. Mizora reigned her mare in. Her now silver eyes travelled across the town. It was not large and consisted of various small, red and brown roofed houses, with the only building of notice being the church, which easily towered over farms like a mountain above forest trees.
Mizora's eyes glittered as she analysed the situation. The town did not look all too promising, however, there was a large group of people, gathering not too far away from the town's entrance. This might be worth a look. Mizora clicked her tongue and let the Nightmares slowly and relaxed approach the group, perfectly making it seem as if she and Vhaal were nothing but travellers, who happened to be passing through.
❝ hmph ... your tail is very forward , ❞ the smooth velvet of his voice almost does a decent job at selling the composed , nonchalant exterior he wants to sell , if only his pupils aren't twice it's size . ❝ it should know i'm not that kind of dr- ! ow ... ❞ the vowel oscillates to a higher pitch before smoothing itself into a purr , yet his body barely flinches , well accustomed to occasional cruelties .
a better man would refuse . a slightly better man might at least feign inner turmoil . he was neither , and there was nothing to gain in pretending now . truthfully , the ever swinging pendulum of his morality seems to lean in the direction of whomever he was closest to . it did feel rather voyeuristic to just stand there and watch someone wrap a noose around their neck , but there was some kind of twisted catharsis in it , wasn't there ?
the flames dance in the red of his eyes like infernal mirrors , he watches her intently , and then , her spectacle ; and what a spectacle it is . he's committed to go through with this , ego and pride would never allow his footsteps to falter now , but he does step back at the sight , something between awe and sheer terror latched to his delicate features as he contemplates the creatures sprouting from the ground . the shapes bend and twist , until they're formed , toothed and hooved , their breath scorching : he recognizes the infernal creatures from stories he'd heard on his travels . nightmares . in the stories they ate human flesh . he's hoping that was an exaggeration .
❝ well ... ❞ he neglects the burn on his pale hands , fully engrossed . ❝ and here i thought devils liked to fly everywhere . ❞ but the playfulness slowly drains from the his pale features as he takes a step closer , cautious , curious ; mindful , yet so eager to play with fire , the heat of the hells still licking his hands .
❝ mm . ❞ the corner of his mouth there’s a soft-lit nuance of emotion , desperate to bury itself . it seems to flicker between a vague sense of discomfort , pity , and something undefined which is he immediately attempts to suppress it , choke down with practiced apathy . ❝ i see . ❞ wisps of dark-auburn hair fall over his chiseled cheekbones , casting a rather somber shadow as he stares in acknowledgement .
he finds it odd that something in him implores to be softer , to make room for that pity to fester . pity . why now ? he'd witnessed his own in their infancy , tossed down into the spider's web . slaves used as targets for spell practice . slashed open for fun . public executions . poisonings at the dinner table . what good has pity ever done anyone ? what a pathetic excuse of a sentiment . if his mouth opens to ask questions , it is promptly sealed shut again , silenced by the reminder that we deserve all we cannot avoid . if you can't bite the hand the hand beats you , you earn every strike . his fingers recoil , and a wave of disgust washing over him as he sniffles indignantly at the indication of weakness in his bones . he is young , his matron is right ; there is much in him that needs to be wrung out still .
it feels like ages since he'd last spoken . ❝ well enough , not to worry . ❞ the drow reassures , stepping back to unceremoniously to tug at the saddle of the hellish stallion , refusing to dwell any longer on that loathsome sentimentality as he gracefully climbs on top of it the practice of someone who'd done so before . no overt cruelty to his stance , but no kindness either , only a quiet , cold indifference . empathy is best when smothered in its cradle , before it grows a conscience .
there is a slight tilt to his head , almost mechanical as he forces the corners of his lips upwards , electing to ignore that nagging feeling at the back of his skull . ❝ ... unless you want me to hold on tight to your waist , like a proper prince in distress ? i can do that , if you prefer . ❞ an easy enough deflection , but it fails to be convincing , he thinks , so he doesn't wait before swiftly moving along the conversation . ❝ where to , then ? ❞
