NOT PROOFREAD EEK
——————————————————————————
y/n and chris had been in a screaming match all day.
from sunrise to the middle of the night, it's taken both nick and matt holding the two back so they don't entangle and kill each other.
"whatever," nick breaths, "i'm so fucking done with you guys. i know you don't get along but this is ridiculous."
"yeah" matt agreed, letting out a sigh. "i for one am tired as shit, try not to murder the other while we're asleep," the other two brothers pace back into their respective rooms, slamming the door one after another.
"great!" y/n starts, "who am i supposed to sleep with now, guaranteed they both just locked their doors." she whispered to herself.
"god, who cares? you could sleep on the street for all i fucking care." chris yells, watching y/n stand outside of nick's door, not daring to make an advance inside.
the girl shot daggers at him, "whatever chris, tell that to your fucking brothers, they're the ones who let me live here." y/n huffs out as she shoves chris full force out of the way, preparing for a sleep on the boy's couch. but before she can even reach the end of the hallway, chris grabs y/n by the throat and slams her against the wall.
y/n hits the wall, exuding air on impact, hands gripping onto chris', which has her easily pinned on to the wall.
"did you seriously just put your hands on me?" he said lowly, closing the distance between him and
y/n. the girls heart was racing at a mile a minute, unsure of what her actions would cause next. she was so confident yelling at chris frequently from across the room, but suddenly powerless in his grasp, she was, briefly, at a loss for words.
"yeah," y/n managed to grunt out. she had never been this close to chris before, let alone feel his body inches away from her own skin. his eyes were dark and low, jaw tight and sharp, his features barely illuminated in the light. as much as she hated him, she found him punishingly attractive.
"and what are you going to do about it?" she dared to whisper to him, trying to keep as much confidence in her tone as she could, not letting him see how much she withered under his touch.
from a few heavy breaths, y/n's throat still in his hand, he shoved her into his room and shut the door behind him. he flipped the two around so she was again back against the wall.
"what am i going to do about it?" he taunted, less than an inch between their bodies, breaths mingling and eyes locked in contact.
"you have no idea what i could do to your right now," chris spoke lowly, uninterested in letting his brother's hear the way he is speaking to the girl he supposedly wants to kill.
"if only you just kept that pretty little mouth shut, maybe i could've showed you sooner," his words faded out, his hand around her neck tightened slightly, as he brushed his lips against hers, earning a barely audible moan from the girl under his grip.
"chris" y/n managed to breath out, suddenly feeling a sense of neediness and wanting from him. is it bad she could be so turned on from how rough chris was being with her? she had never seen this side of him before, the side of him that she didn't think existed to her. before this he was ready to take her head off and so was she. but now she could feel the heat rising in her legs, and shocking her stomach, anticipating what was to come next.
"what? don't act like you don't want it, you think i can't tell that you do? look at you." chris taunted, gently using his teeth to tug on her bottom lip. y/n felt like her heart was going to beat out of her chest.
unknowing what came over her, y/n remarked back "oh, i'd want this. just not with you," she could see the anger growing in his face as she continued, "anyone could do whatever you'd do better." she knew what the words she was saying would lead her. she almost hoped chris got the message.
"is that so? i'll show you you're wrong." chris swiftly tossed y/n to the bed, pinning her down, yet again cementing their faces inches away from each other.
"you'll be begging me to do this more often when we're done," beginning to leave sloppy kisses against y/n's neck. "i'd destroy you,"
"so destroy me," y/n dared.
chris smiled against her skin, wet kisses becoming dark hickies all over her neck and jaw. his lips slowly moved down to her covered chest, frustrated with the fabric, he tugged on her shirt, signaling to take it off.
y/n sat up in the bed ripping her shirt over her head, his eyes meeting with her bare chest. "no bra, huh?" he said before claiming her right nipple in his mouth, kissing, sucking, and biting on it, and doing it harder with each moan he earned from her.
"i never wear one" she admitted, eyes screwed shut in the unexpected pleasure that chris sturniolo was bringing to her.
"i hope that's not the only thing you never wear," he said against her skin, kisses continuing down her body until he reached her inner thighs, with only a thin layer of fabric separating her core and his lips.
y/n gasped as he yanked her to the edge of the bed, making her wet shorts visible to him even in the dim light. he smirked looking up at her,
"fucking soaked," he said what she already knew, throwing her head back and screwing her eyes shut in anticipation, "chris, please." she begged, thinking how pathetic it was that the few words she was able to get out gave chris everything he wanted to hear in that moment, but she didn't care.
"since you're begging for me," he taunted, taking off y/n's barely there sleeping shorts, taking in how perfect her core was dripping under the light, practically calling his name. never would he had anticipating being in this moment, but god he knew he was lying if he said he didn't think about it.
he teased her by trailing small kisses and nibbles against her inner thigh, making her wetter by the second. before y/n knew, he was licking and sucking down her slit, arms pushing her legs further into her chest to get even deeper.
gripping the sheets with white knuckles, y/n found it impossible not to scream his name as he stuck his tongue inside her, moaning against her pussy as the vibrations drove her closer to her high.
"chris i'm gonna cum," she said panting, edging him to keep going, not wanting the pleasure to stop as she found her hands tangled in his hair. but before y/n managed to reach her high, he pulled his face away from between her legs. mouth dripping with all her juices, he brought his lips to hers, kissing her for the first time.
the two kissed each other hungrily, each fighting for dominance over the other, but chris ultimately won as he stuck to fingers inside of her, causing y/n to gasp, prompting chris to shove his tongue into her mouth.
"how am i supposed to hate you when i know your pussy is this good?" chris asked between sloppy wet kisses, his fingers continuing to pump in and out of her, wetness leaking onto his bedsheets.
y/n could feel the knots tying in her stomach, signaling she was close, “c-chris i’m so fucking close,” she said absolutely breathless, weakly gripping his moving wrist.
his two fingers slowed their pace, and she whined at the loss of contact. y/n couldn’t help but squeeze her thighs together, in order to do something to stop the aching between her legs.
“not so fast,” chris said, peeling off his hoodie and sweats, leaving him in just black calvin klein underwear. “spread,” he demanded.
y/n obliged without hesitation, aching and ready for him to be inside her. chris used his thumb to rub her clit in circles, causing her to arch her back and moan in pleasure, chris could feel his dick aching to fuck her, but he wasn’t going to let her have it easily.
“c-chris please,” she begged, “please what, baby?-
baby?
-tell me,” he said, knowing exactly what she wanted from him, “please f-fuck me- shit,”
as soon as those words left her mouth, chris removed his underwear, his length springing up, leaking with pre-cum and burning with desire.
he ran the tip on y/n’s slit, groans exiting from both of their mouths. without warning, he slammed his entire length into her, causing her to gasp at the feeling.
tears ran down y/n’s cheek as she moaned out chris’ name and profanities at the pace that he was pounding into her,
“you look so pretty when i fuck you, baby,” he growled in her ear, “look at you, doing so good at taking all of me,” he said before sensually connecting their lips.
y/n had no words to say, only muffled sounds in between kisses coming out of her mouth from being completely fucked out by chris, and it didn’t take long for her to feel her orgasm coming back.
“oh, chris, i’m gonna cu-,”
“wait, you cum when i say, okay?” he said lowly, before quickening his pace, feeling his own climax coming too.
“i can’t take it, please let me cum,” y/n pleaded, feeling completely buzzed from all the sensation going in her body.
“cum baby, i’m right there too,” he breathed out, feeling her walls clench around him causing chris to explode inside her, filling her up at the same time she reached her own high.
chris pumped a few more times in and out of her, both groaning as he pulled his dick out of her, then falling on the bed next to the sexed out girl next to him.
the two looked at each other for a moment, and chris softly kissed her, finding his way to be on top of her again. he pulled their lips apart and ran a hand through her hair,
“why do we do this? i’m tired of hating you, why do you act like that with me?” y/n said, staring at chris’ piercing blue eyes above her. he sighed, “i really don’t know,” he started, “i guess the way i feel about you just made me angry for some reason. it always made me mad how close you are with nick and matt, and i guess i kept it up too long,” he admitted, playing with the ends of her soft hair.
“you should’ve just told me,” y/n retorted, placing a gentle hand on the side of chris’ face, and he nuzzled into it. “i know, and i’m sorry. can we be done with that, please?” he asked her, cautiously.
“of course we can,” y/n smiled. chris smiled back at her, connecting their lips once more.
“okay,” he began grabbing her hand, “let’s go get cleaned up. we can have another fight in the shower,” smiling deviously at her after making the statement.
y/n rolled her eyes at the boy, and quickly followed him into the bathroom, locking the door behind them.

Oh nothing.. just thinking about how it’s been really hot lately so you, yuji, sukuna are usually laying around in nothing but shorts and a tank top bc it’s too hot to do anything. So u come up with this great idea to have a water fight in the back garden with the water hose too cool off and it’s just a bunch of messy nonsense and then u end the day at a 7/11 licking ice cream in sukunas car…🥹❤️
-Anon🥢
BRO I WILL COMBUST THIS IS SO CUTE
__
“I’ll… be right back.”
“Don’t threaten me.”
You’re quick to scurry away after Sukuna speaks, smirking and letting your feet carry you through the grass of his back yard. The plant is hot under your toes, but you pay it no mind as you make your way to the side of his parent’s house, grabbing the hose used to fill Yuuji’s pool.
It’s hot, far too hot for comfort. Yuuji’s pool is constantly filled with cooler water to keep him from sweating, a large hat plopped on his head while you periodically smother him with sunscreen as he plays with his floating toys. His older brother, on the other hand, tans lazily in the beams of sun, his body warm as he soaks up the rays of light. He’s always been better in the heat, but you can tell even he’s sluggish from the temperature.
You grin as you turn the dial to ‘shower’ and hide the tool behind your back, being sure to keep your steps quiet. You tuck your lips in your mouth to conceal any giggles, and you creep towards him with mischief coursing through your body.
“Baby?”
“Hmm?”
“Look at me.”
Immediately, Sukuna’s head turns to face you, and you quickly spray his warmed body with a spray of the hose, his face going from confusion to panic in a matter of seconds
“WHAAAAAAAAAAT THE FUCK-“ he screams, leaping up as he’s covered in frigid water, trying to run away from the spray. You laugh and keep your aim, watching him dash around the yard to create distance. Luckily- or, unlucky for him- the fence keeps him contained in his running, and you and yuuji laugh at his expense. “ILL KILL YOU! YOU HEAR ME!”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” you snicker. “Gotta catch me first!”
“Wanna pay!” Yuuji whines. “Pease!”
“Quick yuuji, come here!” You beckon, but his older brother is quick to scoop up the small boy, using him as a shield. Yuuji squeals and kicks his tiny legs, and you shake your head as he holds the small boy to his chest.
“You’d never spray the innocence of a child, would you?” He faux pouts, and yuuji merely giggles at you.
You shake your head, “no. Thankfully, you’ve got long legs.” You spray his long legs with the hose, and he growls and darts yuuji down to protect his now cold, wet legs. You laugh and are swift to move the dial to ‘mist’ and you spray the both of them. This, has sukuna actually hold Yuuji still, making sure to cool off his little brother under the spray. He squirms and laughs at the little mist of water coating his body, and when your eyes flick up to sukuna, your heart flutters as you see him smiling happily rather than mischievously.
“Cold!” Yuuji chirps.
“Want me to stop?” You offer.
“No!” He shakes his head. So, you don’t. You sway the spray from side to side, coating his left then his right, all the while he flails his limbs and laughter shakes his small body. “Wanna spray su’kna!”
“What.”
“Come here!” You encourage, flashing your boyfriend an empathic smile. He groans and places yuuji down in the mud, who quickly toddles over to you and grabs the bottom of the hose. To humor his brother, he pretends to run away, faux screams of panic as you turn the dial back to shower and pass the little boy the hose. He’s quick to aim at his brother, who grits his teeth at the cold.
But, the signals in your brain cross when the water is suddenly turned to you, splashing against your skin. You yelp and turn instinctively to run, but don’t make it very far before Sukuna catches on and catches you, holding you in his big arms as Yuuji sprays you both. You shriek and writhe in his grip, receiving the bulk of the spray with your body against his.
“Karma, you fucker,” he snickers while yuuji sprays both of your torsos. You playfully bat at his chest to try and get away, but his hand comes down to grip your chin steady and pull you into a kiss. You mewl and wind your arms around his neck, the cold water stopping as you continue the affection. He pulls away, smirking. “Figured that would stop your fucking whining and screaming.”
Yuuji tosses the hose to the side, “wanna kiss! Pease! Wanna smoochie kiss!” Sukuna laughs and picks his brother up, and while you press a kiss to his cheek, Sukuna, as always, playfully bites his rosy cheek, making his brother laugh at his brother’s silliness.
“If I get you both ice cream, will you let me tan in peace?” He asks. You both instantly nod, and he rolls his eyes, “same fuckin’ brain cell, I swear.”
The sun doesn’t take long to dry all of you off, and you’re quick to load into Sukuna’s truck, listening to the radio and watching as people in their yards handle the heat- some are in their garden, others tanning much like sukuna. Some kids run through sprinklers, while others bounce a basketball in their driveways. Yuuji babbles about anything and everything, what he’s learning in school and his silly friend Kugisaki, occasionally stopping to dance to the song playing.
The ride to 7/11 is short enough, and you load out of Sukuna’s truck, far too excited for a sweet treat. Sukuna has a favorite, a lemon slush that comes in a cup, while you and Yuuji select the same ice cream every time. Sukuna doesn’t bother waiting to pay to start eating, but he does slide the bill across the countertop, and once he does, you and Yuuji dive right in.
“Have a good day!” The cashier says, and you compliment him with a ‘thank you’ and load back into Sukuna’s truck, already sticky with humidity filling the air.
You eat your ice creams in peace, fending off the sweltering heat with the treat, and all you can think about is how much you love the other two occupants in the car.
And how sticky yuuji is going to be, once he’s done.

The rest of the work day drags for Natasha and Wanda. Both women having other things on their mind. However, with Kate and Y/n out of the office on a hectic day like this, they couldn’t afford to dwell too much.
“Sestra, can we call it a day? I've never taken this many calls in my life,” Pietro barges into his sisters office.
“If you want to go home, then go,” she waves her hand dismissively at him.
“What’s got you so snappy?”
When Wanda’s eyes meet Pietro she’s glaring at him, “If you haven’t noticed I’m trying to run the company our father built on my own.”
Pietro raises his brow, “On your own? Discrediting my work is normal for you, but to act as if Y/n wasn’t running this place last night is bullshit.”
“Well she’s not here now,” Wanda mumbles under her breath.
“Why? Where is she?”
Wanda can’t hide the small clench in her jaw, “Kate took her home. She wasn’t feeling well.”
“She’s in good hands sestra if that’s what's worrying you,” Pietro tries to console her.
Wanda doesn’t want to speak about it any further, “I’m going to see papa whenever I’m done with this do you want to come?”
The way that Pietro's goofy features turn serious never cease to amaze Wanda, “I can’t tonight, I have a date.”
Wanda rolls her eye, “You’d rather get laid than see our father?”
Pietro shakes his head, “No, but this isn’t just some girl. I want this to be serious and I can’t afford to stand her up.”
The red head is slightly surprised, but she nods along, “I’ll tell him about it, I bet he’d be glad to hear you taking something seriously for once.”
He chuckles a bit before going quiet. He looks at Wanda similar to the way a needy child looks at their parent.
“Do you think he’ll wake up?”
“He has too,” the words are heavy as they leave her lips. She has a small smile placed on her face as she continues, “Mama will kill him if he doesn't.”
“Don’t work too hard sestra,” he speaks sincerely taking his leave.
“Enjoy your date,” Wanda says as he walks out of the door.
When he leaves she lets out a heavy sigh. For the first time today she lays her head down on her desk, exhaustion starting to plague her.
Thoughts of her responsibilities as the person in charge rain down on her. This was the end goal that she wanted, but never at this great of cost. She wished her father would wake up and reclaim his place because she didn’t feel ready.
She was focusing as hard as she could, but her mind always strays to her brother’s best friend. Your delicate skin pressing against hers in the morning or the strong arms that wrapped around her waist, or those doe eyes that she could sense staring at her.
Wanda debates for a moment before pulling out her cell phone and dialing the girl. It rings for a while before there's finally an answer.
“Hello.”
“Hey, little krolik. I just wanted to check on you. Nat told me you went home today,” Wanda keeps her tone level.
You sigh on the other end of the line, “I’m ok. I think I just got a little overwhelmed. I’m sorry for stepping out, I know that's not how we do business.”
“It’s no different than me leaving yesterday. This line of work takes a toll on you.”
She can’t see it, but you nod, “I’m feeling better now. I still want to go see pa- Dragos. Maybe I could have Kate drop me off and I’ll meet you two there?”
“You’re with Kate?” Wanda can’t stop herself from asking the question.
“Yeah she took me home and decided to keep me company,” you say nonchalantly.
“I could’ve taken you,” Wanda tries to play it cool.
You disagree with her, “I didn't want to bother you while you were working. It was a hectic day, truth be told I didn't even want to leave.”
Wanda’s tone is strong as she speaks, “I will never be too busy for you Y/n.”
“Wanda-”
“I mean it. I know I’m supposed to move past it, but I missed a lot while I was gone. I couldn’t be there for you like I wanted to. Now that I’m back I’d like to be there for you as much as I can. I still want to be the one you lean on,” Wanda let herself be vulnerable with you.
You were taken aback by her admission. It felt like it was impossible for you to come up with a response. It wasn’t like she was saying something you hadn't heard from her before, but her words felt heavier somehow.
“I know you'll be there for me, Wanda . You don't have to prove it.”
Wanda frowns lightly, “I’m not trying to prove anything. I’m just- it’s hard knowing I’m not the first person you come to when you’re in need. I know you've grown out of needing people for the most part, but I don’t know. I’m not making any sense. Nat and I will meet you at the hospital.”
Wanda doesn't give you a chance to respond as she hangs up the phone. She scolds herself about how needy she sounded during the call.
“I think I’m finished up for today, whenever you’re ready to go,” Natasha strolls into the office.
Wanda stares at the computer screen for a moment, “I should be ready in half an hour.”
Natasha plops down on the couch of her wife’s office. It’s silent for a moment until Nat shifts on the couch which makes noise fill the office.
“So, do you want to talk about it?”
“ About what?” Wanda keeps her attention on the screen.
“What I said about being jealous of Kate?”
Wanda’s brow furrows, “Not particularly.”
Natasha strides over to the woman’s desk chair and places herself in Wanda’s lap. Wanda’s arms loop around the woman’s waist holding her in place.
“We need to talk about this moya lyubov,” the spy places gentle kisses on the base of Wanda’s neck.
The other woman whines, “Why?”
“Because we’re married and you’re in love with Y/n,” Natasha states plainly.
Wanda rolls her eyes, “You were jealous too.”
Natasha nods, “I was and I don’t have a problem admitting it.”
Wanda’s face buries itself in the crook of Natasha’s neck, “So what does this all mean?”
“I like her too,” Natasha states bluntly.
“ I don’t want to lose you,” Wanda’s voice is small as she speaks to her wife.
Natasha softly places her hand on Wanda’s chin, forcing their eyes to meet, “You will never lose me Wanda. I married you because I’m completely, utterly, madly in love with you. That feeling hasn’t gone anywhere.”
“I love you too,” Wanda’s eyes shine as they bore into Natasha’s.
“ I think we should think about what it would be like to add Y/n into our relationship dynamic,” Natasha speaks, but it sounds like a question.
Wanda tenses briefly, “I can admit that I have feelings for Y/n, but I don’t know if I can act on these feelings Nat.”
“Why not?”
Wanda closes her eyes, “I’ve known her too long, Nat. She’s the same age as my little brother, not to mention she's his best friend. If she doesn’t feel the same way, this will ruin everything.”
“Detka-”
“I don’t know if it’s better or worst that we both want her. How would we even tell her Natasha? I don’t want to lose anymore time with her,” Wanda begins to get emotional.
Natasha cups her wife’s face in both of her hands, “Baby, I know you’re scared. This is scary, I’ve never been in a situation like this, I don’t have all the answers. All I know is that you love her and I think I could too. We’ve spent so much of our lives sacrificing for others, but I’m ready to sacrifice something for my own sake, aren’t you?”
“I am, but not at the expense of my relationship Y/n. I just got her back, Natasha. I’m not saying I never want to tell her, but I can’t do this now,” Wanda tries to turn her head away from her wife.
Natasha doesn’t let her, but instead places a soft kiss on her wife’s lips. Wanda relaxes under Natasha’s touch, feeling all of the stress of the day seeping out of her body.
“ Don’t hide from me, Wanda. I want you to share your feelings, I won’t ever judge you,” Natasha whispers against the taller woman’s lips.
“I don’t want to disappoint you. I know you’re ready but-”
Natasha shakes her head, “It’s not just about me, it’s about us. I don’t want to push you to do anything you aren’t ready for. If you want to pursue Y/n, I’m with you, but if you don’t, I'm still with you.”
Wanda nods softly, “I want to, but I- I need time.”
Natasha kisses her again, “Whenever you’re ready baby. Now finish up so we can go.”
“You’re not going to move?” Wanda questions her wife.
Natasha lets out an exasperated sigh, “ You can’t work around me?”
Wanda scoots herself into the desk. She slightly pushes Natasha to press into her further. The spy’s head is in the nape of Wanda’s neck.
“I can and if I’m being honest it’s my preferred method of doing work,” Wanda begins to focus on the computer again.
She works diligently with her wife in her lap. Having Natasha there makes her work go by a little faster and feel a lot less stressful. She finishes up within the hour.
Once she’s done Wanda shoots a text to Y/n saying that they were headed to the hospital. The girl replies saying she’ll meet them there.
Natasha drives, one hand on the wheel and the other holds Wanda’s hand. Her thumb caresses the back of the passengers hand trying to provide comfort, knowing that this was not an easy task for her.
Wanda had only visited her father once. She hated seeing him in such a fragile state. It almost didn't feel like he was her father. He couldn’t be the same man that took her to the city fair, the same mam that placed flowers in her hair, the man that invested his entire life in her dreams, it couldn’t be. This wasn’t the man that kept her safe from her nightmares, because looking at him in this state was beginning to feel like one.
When they arrived they went inside the building.
“If you don’t tell me what room he is in you won't live to the end of the week to regret it,” you argue with the receptionist.
Kate’s behind you her hand resting on your shoulder trying to pull you out of the conflict.
“It’s family only mam, one more outburst and I will have security throw you out,” the receptionist said causing a vein to pop in your neck.
“Is there a problem here?” Natasha speaks up first.
“Nothing that concerns you,” the receptionist snaps at the spy.
You interrupt, “You don't talk to her like that.”
Before things escalate any further Wanda slams her hand on the receptionist’s desk with her card under her palm.
“Now tell me what room my father is in, “ Wanda’s eyes look fiery as she stared at the receptionist.
The receptionist looks at the card bestie her eyes go wide, “Terribly sorry for the mix up Mrs. Maximoff, didn’t know she was in your company.”
Wanda peers down at the receptionist, “You’re lucky I’m feeling generous today. I don't ever want to hear you address either of these ladies in a disrespectful manner again.”
“Yes, Mrs. Maximoff sorry about that. It won’t happen again. He’s in room 286,” the receptionist looked ten sizes smaller.
You can’t help but give the woman a death glare as you head towards the elevator. Kate stops you on the way.
“I’m going to head home are you going to be alright?” Her eyes subtly glance in Wanda and Natasha’s direction.
“I’ll be fine Katie,” you reassure her.
“Ok just checking. Text me later and make sure you're taking care of yourself,” Kate pulls you into a tight hug.
The sound of someone clearing their throat ends your hug with the doe eyed girl. Kate smiles at you upon the release of the hug, she then waves goodbye, leaving you with the married couple.
“And you’re sure you and Kate aren’t dating?” Wanda can’t help, but comment.
You roll your eyes, “Positive, Katie and I are just friends.”
“What did you do after you left work ?”
You all pile into the elevator as you answer, “Nothing really. We just watched some tv and ordered some food. How was it at the office?”
Wanda goes to answer but Natasha stops her, “No work talk out of the office.”
“Well then what are we going to talk to Dragos about?” You attempt to joke in hopes of brightening the mood.
“ You can call him Papa you know?” Wanda takes her time looking at you.
“I know-”
She cuts you off, “Mama too.”
You nod to yourself, “I know, it’s just not my normal.”
Natasha speaks up, “It honestly feels like you’re fighting against their names when you say them. Mama and Papa sound natural coming from you."
“It feels like they are my parents.”
“They are,” Wanda grabs onto your hand as you approach Dragos’ room.
The air feels different when you enter the room. It’s hard to look at him in such a state. He lies still on the hospital bed with machinery hooked up to him. There are less machines than originally, but still too many in your eyes.
Flora sits by the side of the bed with her hand in his. The view is somber, it takes nearly everything in you not to cry. Almost as if she can sense the tension building in your body, Wanda squeezes your hand.
“How’s he been Mama?” Wanda’s moved closer to her mother’s side, dragging you with her.
“The same, but the doctors are saying that's a good thing for now at least,” she sighs heavily.
“And how are you Mama?” You ask looking over the woman’s features.
Flora sends you a small smile, “I’m tired sweetheart, but I’ll live.”
“Have you been going home?” Wanda questions further.
“To shower and change clothes.”
Wanda’s voice takes a stern tone, “Mama, you need to rest.”
The older woman shakes her head, “I can't leave him for too long.”
“He wouldn’t want you spending all your time here,” you say softly.
“It’s not about what he wants for once. If he didn’t want me here he would’ve listened when I told him going to meet Fisk alone was a bad idea,” she glares at her sleeping husband.
“I’ll have his head for this,” Wanda gets agitated at the mention of Kingpin.
“Blowing up the ports wasn’t enough?” Flora comments.
“Power move, just to prove that there are no cracks in our business affairs,” Wanda’s jaw sets.
Flora looks at her daughter, “He’s not going to take this lying down.”
“I know.”
You squeeze Wanda’s hand to reassure her, “ We’ll be ready for him."
Flora lets out a sad laughter, “You sound just like him Y/n.”
“ That’s a compliment for the ages. I hope I could be half of the person he is,” your gaze falls into your lap.
“You already are. You kids have always made us both so proud.”
You desperately want to ask more about Dragos’ condition, but you refrain. The conversation stays light as you reminisce about the man.
Natasha doesn't say much, but her presence does provide someone to share with. She's hearing most things about her father-in-law for the first time. She's getting a good look into the man he is.
She pays attention to the way you and Wanda both light up when sharing stories. It warms her heart to see the two of you looking genuinely happy for the first time in weeks.
When it’s time to go the mood drops a bit, but not too much. It’s when Natasha goes to follow Wanda and Y/n out of the room when Flora stops her.
“You make sure they're taking care of themselves,” Flora hugs the redhead and whispers in her ear.
Natasha nods, “I will Mrs.Maximoff.”
They head home after that, exhaustion finally catching up to them.
A small dilemma plagues your mind when you get home. Part of you wishes to go with Wanda and Natasha into their apartment where you know you can get a good night's rest. The other part of you tells you that you shouldn't make it a habit. It's a lose-lose situation.
Begrudgingly you decide to go to your own apartment.
“I’ll see you guys later,” you try and give a small goodbye.
Wanda grabs your forearm, “You can come over tonight, if you need to. No matter the time. Alright, little krolik?”
Your eyes shift over to Natasha who smile, showing agreement with her wife, “The door is always open for you.”
You struggle to keep your composure, “Thanks, I’ll keep it in mind.”
Your house feels extra empty as you enter. The weight of the day sets into your system. Getting ready for bed seems pointless as you know you won’t be getting any sleep.
Staring at the ceiling seems different, knowing that across the hall was the woman that you had spent your teen years pining over. Yet, knowing that she could love you didn’t make your heart flutter like it was supposed to. It sent an anxiety running through your chest.
You knew that she was probably curled up in the bed next to her wife. Her drop dead gorgeous, kind hearted, Russian spy, wife. A woman in a league of her own, in her own right.
The thought didn’t make you jealous, but it had an adverse effect on you. You wanted to be there, to be involved, to be a part of what they had.
You groan placing a pillow over your head in a dull effort to quiet your thoughts.
Your phone rings on the dresser and you pick it up, and mumble a hello with the pillow still over your head.
“Come over.”
“Natasha?”
There’s a hum over the line, “Yes, are you coming or do I need to come get you?”
You shuffle out of the bed, keeping the phone to your ear, “Is something wrong?”
“Well-"
She’s cut off by her wife, “Come to bed little krolik. I need the extra warmth.”
Natasha chuckles, “Wanda refuses to sleep in your absence. She’s getting a little grumpy.”
“ I’m not grumpy. Tell her to hurry,” Wanda argues with Natasha.
This makes your heart flutter like it’s supposed to, “Are you sure it’s ok Nat?”
“ Lisichka I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want you back in our bed.”
You feel a blush take over your features as you exit your home.
“ Ok, open the door,” you murmur and it takes no time for the spy to let you into her home.
Natasha looks exhausted as she grabs you by the arm and drags you wordlessly to the bedroom.
Wanda’s already in the bed and when she sees you she does a grabbing motion towards you. You shake your head before climbing into the bed. She wraps her arm around your waist and snuggles closer to you.
“You sleep here now. It’s better for all of us,” She mumbles against your skin.
“Ok,” you don’t fight her on it, knowing she’d probably forget in the morning.
You look up at Natasha shyly. She still stands over the bed. In a similar fashion to Wanda, you stick out your arms for her.
Natasha grins as she climbs into your arms. You carefully drape your arm over the spy, resting your hand against her flat stomach.
For the second night in a row you find yourself comfortable in their bed. You all think about how you shouldn’t indulge in this feeling, scared it won’t last.
It’s like the couple can read your mind. Wanda’s hold on you tightens and Natasha turns to face you. They keep you safe in their embrace and the thoughts in your head quiet.
No one says anything, but you all feel it. There’s a shift in your relationship and you won’t be able to ignore it for much longer.

Warnings: semi-smutty scenes, dirty talkin… fluff, lying, horny!Spencer, spence being reckless and reader being scared 💀
Spencer Reid x fem!rossi!reader
All parts of this are up on my pinned masterlist!
Tumblr media
“Ohmygod, Spencer!” Y/N giggled as she inspected his face. She sat on his lap, touching his skin where she had noticed a bruise.
“I know…” He groaned.
Y/N eyes flickered up to his. “And you didn’t think to tell me that the guy beat your ass before you knocked him out?” She said, talking about the unsub from the last case Spencer was on.
Spencer rolled his eyes. “Okay baby, first of all, he did not beat my ass. He punched me once before I hit him with a crowbar. And second, can we stop talking about creepy psychopaths so I can fuck you?” He asked watching her face turn red.
Y/N kissed his lips and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. His hands found her hips naturally and he kissed her back, rubbing his thumbs over the hip bones. Now, this process would have moved a lot slower had she still had pants on but the moment Spencer got to her apartment he took them off of her. Now she was just left in a pair of her underwear and a loose t-shirt.
She moaned as one hand slid from her hip and between her legs, rubbing softly. She pulled away from his lips and hid her face in his shoulder, breathing heavily.
His lips found her neck as he kept rubbing, chuckling at how wet she was and he had just started touching her. “You miss me while I was gone, baby?” He asked into her skin.
She nodded, a whine leaving her lips. “I missed you and those hands of yours.”
Spencer smirked and helped her sit back up so he could look at her face. “What about my di-“
His words were cut off by the sound of one of their phones ringing. He groaned and held onto her ass, not wanting to stop trying to make her feel good. Y/N kissed his lips and crawled off of him, smiling at the fact that his hand stayed on her ass as long as it could before she was out of reach.
She looked on her bedside table and groaned when she realized that her father was calling her. “It’s mine.”
Y/N cleared her throat and picked it up. “Hey, dad!” She smiled, glancing back at Spencer who pressed his lips together and widened his eyes.
“Good morning, Y/N/N my beautiful.” He spoke. He sounded extra cheery this morning.
Spencer climbed up next to her and placed his hand on her thigh. She glared at him with her eyes but smiled with her lips. “What’s up, dad?”
Somehow, Spencer ended up laying between her legs pressing soft kisses on the insides of her thighs. Y/N dropped her mouth open wanting to moan so badly.
“I’m having a dinner on Saturday night and I want you to be there.” Rossi said. “Uncle Hotch wants to see you. So does the rest of the team.”
Spencer looked up at her, smirking and nodding as he continued to tease her. She grabbed his hair and pulled it harshly trying to get him to stop with a smile on her face.
He did not stop. In fact, his lips turned into his tongue, licking and biting the insides of her thighs. His hands grabbed the outsides, squeezing roughly.
“Y-yeah! I would love to come.” She replied, her mouth falling open when his lips got closer.
Closer… closer… closer—
“Sweetie?”
Y/N snapped out of her thoughts. “Sorry, dad. Got a little uh… distracted. What did you say?”
Rossi chuckled on the other end. “Uh I know you’ve got this… crush on Reid but…”
“Sorry— what? You’re breaking up.” Y/N furrowed her brows.
“I said I don’t want you to have a crush on—“
“Whoa— sorry dad. I can’t hear you. I have something in the oven that’s gonna burn— gotta go. Bye, love you!”
She hung up the phone, tossed it somewhere and shut her eyes. Spencer propped himself up on his elbows and smiled at her. “You have a crush on me?”
Y/N rolled her eyes. “I’m gonna kill you.”
Spencer chuckled and swiftly flipped them over so she was hovering over his face. “By sitting on my face?” He quirked an eyebrow. “I’m okay with that.”
.•.•.•.•.•.•.
It was Thursday morning and Y/N though she would stop by her dad’s office and bring everyone donuts.
She walked through with the box and smiled at the people who greeted her. She walked into the bullpen, Derek spotting her first.
“Hey, Rossi Junior!” He called out. “Good to see you, girl.” He smiled as he hugged her. “Even better to see you with food.” He kissed her cheek as the other started walking over to them. Derek took the box from her and set it down on one of the desks.
Rossi and Hotch walked up side by side and Spencer behind them with JJ and Garcia. “Hi, sweetie.”
“Hi, daddy.” She smiled as he kissed both of her cheeks.
Hotch gave her a hug and greeted her swiftly. Garcia squealed as she hugged Y/N and rocked her back and forth. “Ugh! I haven’t seen this beautiful baby face in so long!” She said squeezing the woman.
“Pen— can’t… breathe.” Penelope apologized and let her go, pinching her cheek and going to see what kind of donuts she brought.
JJ and Emily hugged her next and then it got to Spencer. She glanced at his sexy face before nodding at him, knowing that he doesn’t really like physical contact.
It was crazy because she was sitting on his face not too long ago.
“So what brings you by, Y/N/N?” Derek asked, chewing on a glazed donut.
Y/N walked over leaning against a desk next to her dad who wrapped his arm around her shoulders. “Oh, I was just on my way to work and I realized how much I missed you all so I brought you donuts and myself.” She smiled, motioning to both things.
She could swear she felt Spencer’s eyes on her. They usually were.
“Aw that’s sweet.” Emily smiled.
Y/N nodded. “I should really get going now.” She kicked off of the desk. “But I’m gonna go use the bathroom first.” She added.
Rossi rubbed her arm. “We’ll be in the round table room briefing so we’ll see you Saturday.”
Y/N smiled, kissing her father’s cheek. “See you all Saturday.”
They all said their goodbyes and she walked towards the bathroom.
When she got in there she smiled and waited by the door. A few moments later there were three knocks and she opened the door, quickly pulling her boyfriend in.
Desperate lips met hers and she reached behind him to lock the door as she kissed him. “I missed you.” She said in between kisses.
Spencer chuckled. “You saw me yesterday.” He smiled as her kisses grew deeper.
She hummed. “I wanna see you all day, every day.” She spoke, pulling away from him with a small pout on her lips. “How’d you get away from them?” She asked.
“I told them my mom called.” He whispered, pecking her lips. He gasped in shock when she hit his shoulder.
“Don’t use your mom to lie, Spencer that’s not nice!” She shook her head.
Spencer tilted his head to the side. “Would you rather me have told them that I was coming to make out with you or…” Y/N rolled her eyes.
“Whatever, get back out there. I’ll see you tomorrow.” She giggled, pushing him away gently.
Spencer shook his head. “No, you’ll see me tonight.”
She gave him a sweet smile. “Yours or mine?”
The man caressed her cheek gently. “Mine. I’m gonna cook you dinner with all of the fun kitchen gadgets you made me buy.”
Y/N scoffed. “Spence, you didn’t even have a can opener!” She patted his chest and laughed.
He chuckled and kissed her once, twice, three times before she pushed him away. “Go before they get suspicious.” She whispered.
Spencer reluctantly pulled away and unlocked the bathroom door, slipping out discreetly and leaving Y/N to stand there with a warm smile on her face.
.•.•.•.•.•.
It was Saturday night and Spencer watched Y/N try on four different dresses from his spot in his bed.
They would leave from the same place but take different cars so it wasn’t suspicious. Spencer would take the longer way there and Y/N wold take the short cut.
“I don’t know, I think I like the blue one.” She said, turning so she could see the back in the mirror. She had on a blue satin dress that had a little bow on the back.
Spencer bit his lip. “Yeah… I definitely like the blue one too.” He said, looking at where the neckline swooped down.
“Stop looking at my boobs and come zip me up, please.” He rolled his eye with a smile and slid off the bed, walking up behind her and slowly lifting the zipper, stopping right before it was at the end.
“Are you sure I can’t unzip you?” He asked. “We’ve got thirty minutes and with the way you look, I only need five.” He dipped his head down, kissing her neck.
Y/N’s shoulders raised and she hummed. “You can take the dress off me when we get back here after dinner.” She said, planting her hand in his hair. “I can’t get all messed up. The they’ll know we’re together.”
Spencer groaned and wrapped an arm around the front of her, swiping his thumb across her red lips. “I can’t wait to see this pretty little makeup all smudged.” He said lowly into her ear. Her mouth dropped open and her chest heaved.
She wrapped her lips around his thumb and shut her eyes, her tongue swirling around it. He groaned. “I honestly don’t think I could ever get it up for anyone else.”
Y/N smirked and popped his thumb out of her mouth. “Change your tie. It’s the same color as my dress. We’re gonna look like we’re going to freakin’ prom together.”
Spencer rolled his eyes and stalked over to his closet.
.•.•.•.•.•.
Spencer arrived at Rossi’s 20 minutes after Y/N. She was chatting with Garcia and JJ over a glass of wine. She looked so pretty laughing and smiling.
“Hey, kid!” Rossi greeted, snapping him out of his trance. He smiled at the man. “There’s wine in the dining room, dinner will be done soon.”
“Great.” He smiled.
He was about to make his way to the dining room but Garcia called his name. “Boy Wonder! Over here!”
He stopped and sighed before turning to them with a smile. Y/N smiled at him, crossing her arms and sipping her wine.
“Soooooo, what are you doing for your birthday this year?” The blonde asked, grinning.
Hopefully getting my dick sucked. “Uh…” He shrugged. “I think I’m just gonna take my mom out to dinner and go buy some more books.” He nodded.
Derek came up behind him, clapping a hand on his shoulder. “Uh, no.” He shook his head. “You can do the mom thing just no books, you nerd.” He spoke. “I’m taking you to a strip club.”
Y/N’s breath hitched and she slid her tongue across her teeth. Spencer glanced at Garcia before looking at his girlfriend. Hotch and Rossi joined their circle.
“Uh… I’m okay, actually. I’d rather just stay home.” He nodded, sticking his hands in his pockets.
Derek scoffed. “Why? You got a girl or something?” Spencer tired and successfully avoided glancing at Y/N and shook his head shrugging.
“No, I just… don’t really wanna go see a bunch of naked girls.” I only wanna see one naked girl.
Emily snorted. “What planet are you from? What man doesn’t want to see a bunch of naked girls dancing around, swinging their hoo-has in your face?”
“Swinging?” Y/N grimaced. “What strip clubs have you been to?” She laughed.
Emily scoffed. “The good kind.”
Garcia shook her head. “Okay— anyway, I think Reid has a girlfriend, who’s with me?” She raised her hand.
Everyone including Y/N raised their hands. She pressed her tongue to the bottom of her mouth to keep from laughing.
Spencer rolled his eyes. “Guys I don’t have a girlfriend.” He said, pulling his hand out of his pocket.
“Why is your thumb red?” JJ asked, nodding at his hand.
Y/N pressed her lips together and looked at the ground.
Spencer opened his mouth but shut it again. “I was making Kool-Aid earlier and that stuff stains like a bitch.”
Y/N sighed and shook her head slightly. Literally everyone on this room knows I live off of Kool-Aid. Literally had a Kool-Aid man themed birthday part, I am so obsessed.
She looked back up to meet her father’s stare. Y/N/N, Can you help me with the Carbonara?” He asked, nodding his head to the kitchen.
She swallowed and nodded, putting a smile on her face. She glanced at Spencer before following her father into the kitchen.
“Ooh, It smells good, dad.” She hummed, hoping that he wouldn’t try and talk to her about what all the awkwardness with Spencer was about.
“I remember when you were a little girl and you first learned how to make it with me.” He smiled, leaning against the counter on his palms.
Her phone buzzed in her bag and she took it out quickly.
Dick Dealer💘
How to lie to a behavior analyst: Don’t maintain excessive eye contact, keep your voice even, say my name if you refer to me, don’t fidget— I love you
She inhaled deeply and slid her phone back in her bag, setting it on the counter. “I love cooking with you, dad.” She smiled.
Rossi nodded towards his spice organizer and she walked over grabbing the black pepper and garlic powder.
“Can you be honest with me for a moment, sweetie?” He asked as she sprinkled the seasonings in. She glanced at him.
“Yeah, always.” She shrugged, smiling.
He walked around the kitchen island and sighed. “Are you… involved with Spencer Reid?”
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows and looked at him, her lips quirking up. “What? No, of course not.”
Rossi nodded. “I just… I just noticed some weird stuff back in there. The way you got… jealous when Derek mentioned taking Spencer to a— his birthday plans.” He grimaced.
Y/N laughed a little, trying to keep her voice even. She looked at her dad, making eye contact with him. “Well, like you said you did figure out that I have a crush on Spencer. I was just jealous about that.” She shrugged.
Rossi nodded. “A-and I’ve noticed how weird it is that you seemingly ignore him when we’re all together. What’s up with that?”
Y/N scoffed. “God, dad. Do I need a lawyer or something? Why are you grilling me?”
The father sighed. “You’re right. I’m sorry, I’m just a little protective.”
His daughter smiled and looked back down at the pot she was stirring. “No, it’s okay. I get it but there’s nothing going on between Spencer and I.”
He smiled and kissed her head. “I’ve got it from here if you wanna go back out with your friends.”
Y/N bit her lip. “I think I’ll stay here with you. We need to catch up. How’s Crystal?”
.•.•.•.•.•.
At dinner, Spencer sat across the way from his girlfriend. He was sitting beside Rossi so there was no way he could see the looks that he was giving Y/N.
He was mostly giving her worried looks because she wasn’t making eye contact with him at all.
Once dinner was done, she stuck around to help clean up. Spencer bit his lip as he left the Rossi household, glancing at Y/N through the window before getting in his car and driving home where he would meet Y/N.
.•.•.•.
“Fuck!” Y/N panted and rolled off of him. Spencer gripped her hips even as she collapsed on the bed beside him, squeezing his eyes shut.
She shut her eyes and bit her lip, scooting forward to wrap her legs around his waist and laying her head on his chest. “M’sleepy, Spence.” She mumbled.
“So what did you and your dad talk about?” He asked, rubbing her skin.
Y/N popped her eyes back open. “Are you really asking me about my dad not even thirty seconds after I rode your dick?” She grimaced.
Spencer chuckled. “M’sorry, baby.” He kissed her head. “I just— you got all weird during dinner. You weren’t even looking at me.”
Y/N sighed. “He just asked me if I was ‘involved’ with you. I denied it, of course but I’m still not sure that he fully believes me.” She shrugged. “Did he say something to you?”
Spencer shook her head. “Nope.”
Y/N bit her lip. “Good.” She pressed her forehead into Spencer’s chest again and kissed it. “I’m going to sleep unless you wanna go again?” She smirked.
“You horn dog. Go to sleep.” He chuckled. “I love you.”
Y/N hummed and giggled sleepily. “I love you.”
An hour later Spencer was still awake, running his fingertips across the bare skin of Y/N’s back gently as she slept. His phone buzzed on the bedside table and he sighed, pausing his movements and reached over to grab it.
Rossi
I know she thinks you two are hiding it well. I’ll let you get away with it for now. You hurt my daughter, I shoot you in the face.
Spencer’s eyes widened and he almost groaned loudly had Y/N not been asleep on his chest.
He gulped and put his phone down deciding that he wouldn’t tell Y/N that her dad knew about them until it was a problem.
Which even when it was, he would still do everything to make sure she never got hurt.
.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.•.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED WRITING THIS OMGGG
AND I LOVE YOU READER (WHO ASKED NOT TO BE TAGGED) If it’s not how you’d hoped, I will happily rewrite it:)

Change pt.2
Caitvi x reader [just vi for this part, fluffier but still angsty]
Synopsis: wait hes.. alive? pt.1
SPOILERS FOR ACT 2!!
Tumblr media
Its been months since you've seen Cait, or Vi. You don't even know if you three two are still together, Lately you've heard rumors about another 'Hound of the Underground' taking on the pit fighting scene with rigor. The description almost sounds like Vi, but black hair? She was always proud of her reddish pink hair.
You walk into the arena and pay the fee to get the red ticket, you notice her friend loris in the crowd and make your way over to him. After one quick conversation later and you find out what happened and that she came her to 'outrun her demons', your anger for Caitlyn boiling over but quickly simmering down once you see your girlfriend "Holy shit....." you say, admiring her appearance, her muscles somehow got bigger, and the black suited her, but you like the pink more.
Standing there she doesn't notice you at first, focus on punching this guy's jaw again, but then she hears your familiar shouting from the sidelines, at first she thought she was hallucinating you again, but then she realizes its actually you and decides to put on a show just for you.
--
After her match you meet her again, hugging her softly before asking her what happened with Caitlyn even though Loris told you, you had to hear it from her "I don't wanna talk about it Sunshine, what she did made me question everything--made me question if what me and her had was even real or if she was just using me for information and my strength" oh your poor girl. You push her head into the crook of your neck "lets rest yeah? is that okay?" you don't wanna push the subject anymore, knowing that she' gonna tell you about it eventually. She cuddles into you, dropping her fists to hold you close "mph- yeah that's great Sunshine" she gives you soft kisses on your neck, missing the feeling of your skin on hers "G'night Y/n" she mumbles defeatedly "Goodnight" you kiss her forehead and rub the back of her undercut.
Before you surrender yourself to sleep you look around her small room, looking at all the discarded bottles and broken pieces of glass, noticing the beat up punching bag that has her black makeup on it, right where her eyes are 'my poor violet' you think 'what happened to us' your mind drifts to yours and hers room in your little apartment in Piltover, the nights and days you three would spend together, laughing and having fun before they had to leave.
--
The next morning you both wakeup with a start, she sits up slightly to see the source of the noise only to see her.. sister? After their argument, she told the two of you Vander was somehow alive and that he needed help.
"I have to do this y/n" she says while grabbing her gauntlets "Please let me come Vi--please" you beg, not wanting to be alone again, she places her hands on your waist, leaning in for a deep kiss coming back up for air she says "I promise I'll come back, I promise you y/n, go stay with Loris for a bit and I promise you that I'll come back" she hopes that you understand, even though her sister is a crazy she it had to be serious if she wasn't trying to kill her.
--
After your tearful reunion with the man, Jinx leads your little group to the outskirts of the fissures, Vi taking the time to catch you up with what happened, how she feels like her love for Cait was one sided all this time after her betrayal. Attempting to comfort her you try to reassure her that what she thinks isn't true, how she's too focused on grief and how she hit you too-- "What..?" Vi stops walking "She hit.. you too?" her anger is picking up, you can tell "umm. yeah..bu--" "No buts y/n what the fuck?? you didn't even do anything" she cuts you off obviously pissed at your guys' ex girlfriend, you sigh not wanting to talk about it "Vi can we just talk about it later" "No! this isn't oka--" she interrupts you again, then getting cut off by Jinx "We're here!!". The both of you look ahead at this weirdly pastel oasis civilization.
"we will talk about this later" she says with a huff after surrendering her gauntlets. You kiss her cheek to calm her down "Alright" you missed that little flash of red that appeared on her face whenever you did that, you miss the little flash of pink that appeared on Cait' face but you probably aren't gonna see her anytime soon.. you think

i’d love to see a doctor!remus with a reader that has chronic pain, if you’re interested in writing that <3
Thanks for requesting! I read online that migraines are considered chronic pain, so I hope that's accurate
cw: migraine, period cramps
doctor!Remus x fem!reader ♡ 726 words
The bed dips as Remus replaces the cold compress over your eyes, and you feel like you’re sandwiched between two temperatures, heating pad on your belly and ice pack on your head.
“Can I have more painkillers, please?” you mumble.
Remus’ voice is usually quiet, but now he speaks softer than soft. “You can have more in an hour.”
A self-pitying ache starts up in the back of your throat. Which is great, because what you really need right now is more aches. “Can you pass me my coffee then?”
There’s a second of hesitation, and you can hear the denial forming in it. “It’s too late for caffeine,” he murmurs. “You need to sleep soon or it’ll only be worse tomorrow, lovely girl. I’m sorry.”
He sounds it, but a petulant whine works its way out of you anyway. A hot tear leaks from the corner of your eye, dribbling into your hair. You know crying will only make things worse, but you’re feeling so wretchedly sorry for yourself that you almost don’t care. Worse isn’t something you can conceptualize.
“It hurts all over,” you whimper.
Remus makes a sound just as miserable, and then his hand is at your hairline, stroking tentatively. “I know,” he whispers. “I know, I’m so sorry. Do you need the heating pad turned up?”
You murmur that you don’t. Your cramps aren’t great, but they pale in comparison to the throbbing agony of your head. And even if it helped your cramps, you don’t think you could handle the sensation of more temperatures right now.
“Okay.” Remus pets your hair gently, callouses scraping against the skin of your forehead. “All right, darling, let’s try this.”
He takes your hand in his, and you can feel the edge of his short nail as he presses into your palm, rubbing tiny, concentrated circles into your skin. For a minute you can’t muster the will to ask what he’s doing, but then the pain ebbs slightly, and you find your voice.
“What’s this?”
“Pressure point. Is it helping?”
“I think so.” Not a ton, but it’s something. You force yourself to relax the muscles around your eyes, and that helps a bit too. “Thank you,” you breathe.
Remus makes a soft sound, catching another tear as it skids down your face. His thumb still drills into that place on your palm. It hurts a tiny bit, but not near enough for you to ask him to stop. “It kills me to see you like this,” he murmurs. “I’m sorry I can’t do more.”
“Yeah, couldn’t you get me some morphine or something?”
The little laugh that follows is odd-sounding, like he’s stifled it with a hand. “Actually, it might be worth losing my license for that. If you really want me to, just say the word.”
“I’ll let you know.”
There’s a few seconds where you can only hear each other breathing. It’s always a little bit weird, knowing he can see you when you can’t see him. You wonder, distantly, shamefully, if you look pretty. There’s no sense in asking Remus. You know what he’ll say.
“Can I touch you?’ he asks quietly.
“You’ve been touching me, Lupin.”
Another half-smothered chuckle. Remus’ hand rests delicately on the top of your head, his thumb stroking an upward path along your forehead. You hum in approval.
“If you go to sleep now,” he says softly, thumb lifting from your hand, “your headache might be gone when you wake up.”
You take a deep breath, gauging your own tiredness. You think you can do it.
“And so long as you sleep for more than an hour, I promise to get out of bed to get you more painkillers.”
“You’d better,” you mutter, and you can feel his smile against your skin when he leans down to kiss your cheek. “Hug me?”
You intend for it to sound light, almost like a joke, but the question comes out laden with all the neediness you’d hoped to hide. Remus doesn’t begrudge you, one arm needling under the small of your back while the other wraps across your ribcage. He scoots closer until your arm is pressed to his front.
“This okay?”
“Better than okay. Thanks, Rem.”
His lips brush delicately across your cheekbone, the soft bit of skin just next to your eye. “Don’t mention it.”

New Rehab program
Shigaraki x Reader
~ You're the very last therapist that the law has sent to "help" Shigaraki Tomura. All Might is the one who recommended you but the thing is, you have to be roommates with the villain ~
Warnings: You have anxiety and skin picking problems (Not mentioned in this text but will be in next parts)
Tumblr media
"Young Shimura is in his bedroom, forgive him but I do not think that he will come to meet you."
You simply nodded at the blonde 7ft tall man. Even though he wasn't in his "buff form", he looked huge nonetheless. "I understand, I'm like, what, the 10th therapist he's seeing in the span of 2 months?"
All Might offered a little smile as an apology. "Yes, but I believe it will work this time. I have faith"
You showed a weak smile, that was totally not stressful at all. The former Symbol of Peace was trusting the rehabilitation of the biggest villain of Japan into your hands. Yeah, noooo pressure.
In front of the apartment where Shigaraki lived, All Might gave you the keys and reminded you that Tomura couldn't do anything since he was wearing a necklace that was deactivating his quirk. Which reassured you, because your quirk couldn't do anything against his. But if he tried attacking you, while wearing that necklace, you'd be fine.
Your quirk consisted of enhancing your reflexes, you could dodge pretty much anything or anyone. You couldn't read their movements, but your body warned you everytime something dangerous would occur. It also helped a lot whenever you dropped something, multiple glasses of water weren't broken to this day.
All Might eventually left and you took a deep breath, you hadn't realized it earlier but you were shaking a little. Who wouldn't? You were going to become the new roommate of the worst criminal in all of Japan.
You unlocked the door and walked in with your luggages. To your surprise, the place was neat. You wouldn't need to clean on your first day, how great!
You looked around and realized that there was no one in sight. In all honesty, you didn't know how this new rehab program worked, should you tell him you were there? So he wouldn't jolt if he ever laid his eyes on you? Tightening the grip on your backpack, you shakily walked forward and closed the door behind you. "Hello?" Your voice trembled. "Um.. I'm your new roommate" Nothing happened, maybe you should've said you were the new therapist? Though, being the 10th one in the span of 2 months, you didn't think he'd care.
"Well.. I guess I'll put my stuff in the room.." You sighed to yourself, a bit relieved that he didn't directly jumped on you to try to kill you or something.
You removed your shoes and spotted a bright red pair of sneakers, they were too big to fit you. Maybe they were his? They looked almost new, guess he didn't go outside that much. You put your shoes next to them and walked towards the hallway. Based on what All Might had said, your bedroom was at the end of it and on the left.
The left door was wide open, and from what you could see inside, there was only a bed and a desk. You guessed that it was yours then, since it was empty. Right in front of your bedroom was a closed door, from the inside, you could hear noises. Mostly fast clicking and music. The sound was similar to when you used the buttons on a controller. You weren't unfamiliar with video games, but with your job, you didn't have that much time to play anymore.
Maybe you could play a bit today, you weren't planning on giving a therapy anyways as you would give yourself some time to unpack.
Tumblr media
It was around 6pm when you were almost done unpacking most of your stuff. You just couldn't focus on that anymore when your stomach kept screaming that it was hungry. You sighed and got up. Fine, you'll eat, even if you would've preferred to finish placing your stuff first but your belly was being annoying.
Walking out of your new bedroom, you realized that Shigaraki's door was still closed. He only went to the bathroom once but you never saw him. You were inside your closet, folding clothes when you heard his bedroom door close. Maybe it was a missed opportunity, but you didn't want to force him either.
You entered the kitchen and looked inside the fridge and cupboards. After a few minutes of searching, you eventually decided to make some donburi for you and some for him too. Usually, you'd make food for yourself alone but you lived with someone now so, you thought about his stomach.
Multiple minutes later, as you were still cooking, you turned around and jolted very badly. Luckily, you didn't drop anything due to your quirk, but Shigaraki Tomura was standing right behind the kitchen island, staring at you.
Shigaraki was a bit taller than you, his scarlet eyes were almost hidden behind his long white locks. He was glaring at you like you didn't belong here, and truth to be told, you also felt like you didn't belong here either. But it was your job and you needed the money to pay for your bills.
You silently stared back, what were you supposed to do? Your breathing and heartbeat increased as you felt anxious in his company, but you tried your best to remain calm.
"H-Hey, uh, I'm… making dinner… It's.." You turned to look at the pot on the oven, then back at him. "..Not ready yet.." You almost talked in whispers, your throat wasn't able to talk louder, you were just too anxious. "Y-You like donburi?"
He didn't answer, instead he just walked back to his bedroom.
Well.. That was going to be interestingly awkward.
At least, he didn't try to kill you..
Tumblr media
During the next week, you just calmly lived your life and Shigaraki lived his. He didn't do much except locking himself into his bedroom and sometimes walking out to go to the bathroom.
The second week was more.. Rough.
The young man had decided to threaten and provoke you.
You, personally, didn't know why.
But him? He was already sick of you. Why weren't you forcing him into therapy sessions? That was more than annoying, all the other therapists were just tossing him onto the couch and forced him to have a therapy. But you never did, why?
One day, it just slipped out of his mouth. "Why aren't you doing shit?"
He was standing at the edge of the living room, his hands in his hoodie's pocket. He was fuming, you could easily see it in his body language. Yet, sitting on the floor as you played your favourite video game, you only confusedly glanced back. You put your game on pause and turned to him. "What do you mean..? I've been cooking, cleaning-"
Tomura quickly interrupted you. "I'm not talking about those, idiot. Why the hell aren't you doing your job?"
You tilted your head to the side, slightly scared and still confused. "..You want a therapy?"
His expression switched for a second, you would've missed it if you had blinked. "Obviously not" He snarled.
"Then.. W-Why are you asking? Why would I force you?" You tried your best to stay calm as you weren't sure how he would react if he'd get mad. "My job is to help people, sure, but if you don't want any help, I can't do anything." You took a deep breath as he would probably not like how you would word what was next. "It's your problem, not mine. I can only do something, if you, want to get helped"
Tomura blinked, he looked surprised at your answers for a few seconds before he stormed back to his bedroom, slamming the door behind him.
You also blinked, not really understanding what was going on.
In the past two weeks, he had never talked to you this much. Were you progressing? Maybe.. Maybe not.

Pairing: kiribaku x reader
Wc: 2k
Note: I don’t post on tumblr but I kind wanted to start, so here is like my first fic… I hope it doesn’t give wattpad vibes.
————
Your eyes slowly fluttered open, it seems you’d be the first one to be awake today; you aren’t surprised though, Katsuki and Eijirou both had a grueling patrol the day before, lasting 12 hours. You decided last night that you would get up early in the morning to make breakfast for the two of them, they had deserved it of course. Rolling over slightly you checked the time, it had read ‘4:54’, maybe spending just a few extra minutes wouldn’t hurt, you’d like to admire the two men cuddled up to you and each other as well.
Katsuki’s nose was almost touching yours, his arms lying on the pillow, keeping his head up, there seemed to be drool running down the corner of his lip, seeping into the pillow. You couldn’t feel any sense of disgust though, you found him cute, you know he’d kill you if he ever heard you say that though. His leg was almost completely over you, subconsciously making sure that you’d stay put, a habit he had ever since high school. Eijirou was behind him, arm curled around yours and Katsuki’s waist, holding you both tightly. Low snores came from him, he always looked so comfortable like this, so at home, emphasized by his red locks, that usually were gelled up into spikes, now ran down his shoulders; he decided a long time ago, maybe in your third year, that he would grow his hair out and you can’t help but think he made a great choice, it framed his face beautifully.
You lifted your hand and brushed back a bit of Katsuki’s hair behind his ear, you knew it wouldn’t stay put because of how short it was but you did it anyways. Your fingers ghosted over his cheeks, not wanting to wake him up because of how light of a sleeper he was, then you landed a light, sweet kiss on his jaw. He moved slightly, still asleep, he hid his face in the crook of your neck, you almost cooed at him aloud before stopping yourself to look at Eijirou. No longer being hidden by Katsuki’s hair, you noticed he had a content look on his face, surely enjoying the warmth the both of you had given him.
This felt like heaven, giving you a deep nostalgic feeling that reminded you of the time you had first cuddled with them so closely.
You had just come out of the showers after a training session in the gym with Bakugo and Kirishima, Bakugo was the last one to go in so you and kirishima decided to wait until he was done. “I’m still going to try to get my skin even harder, like that one time when I was interning with fat gum!” Kirishima said with determination, “it’s not as hard to do anymore, but, making it last longer is another problem…heh!” He chuckled sheepishly.
“I’m sure that won’t be a problem, you’ll get it in no time.” You said reassuringly, even though Kirishima doesn’t make it known there have been a few times where he would let all that self doubt trickle through his tone, so you and Bakugo mutually, without mentioning it aloud, have always made sure to reassure him of his strength.
“Yeah.. you’re right!” He smiled at you, shouting with a newfound motivation. You both were sitting on the bench outside the showers, your arms were touching and even though it was such a small touch you could feel your heart flutter.
You could hear footsteps coming out of the showers, Bakugo stood in the doorway, seemingly examining you two before saying, “C’mon, we can head up to my dorms.” Though it was more of a growl than anything. You both had no problem with it and began walking side by side with Bakugo towards his room.
Bakugo walked in first and kirishima ran in and immediately launched himself onto the bed, “What do you think you’re doing, shitty hair? You’re already messing up my bed and you just got here!” He shouted.
“Your bed is so comfy though!” He whined, “roomie come join me!” His cheek was squished against the pillows as he called for you.
You finally walked in and closed the door behind you, once you had gotten close enough you laid on the bed next to him and looked at the ceiling, Kirishima slowly started attaching himself to you, as his usually touch-starved self always does, and slowly relaxed into the sheets.
Bakugo was sitting on the chair right next to his computer but once he both saw you gathered on the bed he marched over, “move over!” He growled before plopping himself between the two of you, “Didn’t know you were into cuddling, Bakugo.” Kirishima said teasingly before turning and squishing himself as close as he could to Bakugo.
You then turned to join in on the light hearted teasing by pressing yourself against him as well, his face was flushed right now but you could tell he didn’t dislike it, you wanted to cup his face in your hands and litter kisses all over his face; You didn’t know what your relationship with these two were though, but all you knew is that you were inseparable.
Of course you were all for platonic cuddling, you’ve done it all the time, but with them? You couldn’t help but feel like you were just in some kind of special closed space that could only ever be shared between you three.
You don’t think this is just some kind of simple love either, it’s closer than that. Like your very own beings, your very own souls were connected, permanently, intertwined with one another. You wished this would never end.
“You guys mean a lot to me you know.” You muttered just loud enough for them to hear.
“Fuckin’ sap.” Bakugo uttered.
“I care about you two as well.. and I’m sure Bakugo feels the same way even though he won’t say it!” Kirishima said with a wide smile etched onto his face. He was almost glowing, there was light shining in through the curtains, it was almost like he was the sun itself, god, you could drown in those eyes.
Would they judge you for wanting them both? Would they leave you? If keeping your feelings a secret, even if it hurt you, would keep them by your side, you’d make sure you wouldn’t even insinuate them, no matter how much you longed for them.
Kirishima pulled the covers over you three and snuggled into Bakugo, he made sure to toss his arm over him to lay a hand over yours, that was resting on Bakugo’s chest.
But there were moments like these that gave you hope, maybe you could be together! Maybe they did like you back! Maybe they could also feel this sort of longing for you that you had felt for them! You couldn’t confess though. Romance was never your thing and never had been, so you were pretty blunt about it, but ever since these feelings sparked you could barely let out a squeak before flushing a deep red and your tongue tangled.
You leaned your cheek against Bakugo’s shoulder before shutting your eyes, you could feel Kirishima squeezing your hand once before you fell asleep.
You could only hope this goes right!
You had gotten out of bed, almost waking Katsuki up before you put those hero skills to use and completely snuck out of bed. You made your way downstairs, the one that all three of you had chipped in with your own money to get, a fresh start for the three of you and your relationship, you had decided in your early twenties.
You had found your way into the kitchen with the dim light of the slowly rising sun peeking through the curtains.
Grabbing a few pans, bowls, and ingredients you set off to make French toast as fast as you could before they woke up, even if they had a tiring mission the day before it would never stop them from getting up early.
The distinct smell of it has definitely already wafted through the entire house, you knew they would wake up soon, you read the clock that hung on the wall, ‘5:34’ it said. What better way to wake them up but with kisses?
You quietly made your way upstairs to the two men in bed, Katsuki was halfway up, just slightly groggy, you know he would’ve checked downstairs earlier to look for you if he could but the sleeping man latched onto him definitely wouldn’t have.
He didn’t notice you though so you slowly walk up to him and plant a kiss on his forehead after brushing his hair back. “Good morning sleeping beauty..” you whispered, “Mm.. g’morning” he grumbled in a rough tone before looking at you, he noticed you were staring, raising his eyebrow he tried to question you, “wh-“ until you started kissing him. Over his cheeks, his nose, his eyes, and then a slow and sweet one on his pretty lips; you made sure not to leave a single spot unkissed.
He growled but returned your kiss, he was so much softer in the mornings you couldn’t even find yourself caring about morning breath.
“You wanna wake up Eiji with me, baby?” You asked in a low voice. He agreed, he looked almost mesmerized by you but still moved to turn over towards the man who has now completely thrown the covers off of himself and laid his limbs every which way. He laid a hand on his chest, “Get up red.” He said while subtly fixing his bed head. You moved all the way around the bed to reach Eijirou’s side, and ran your fingers through his locks.
Through both of your tries you had finally gotten him to open one eye, “you gotta open the other one too babe.” You chuckled, he giggled slightly before opening the other. “Ah, there you are.” You kissed him lightly on his lips, caressing his cheek while you did so, and him happily returning the favor before turning his head to the man behind him to kiss him as well.
They looked at each other and you with admiration.
“I’m going to fix a plate for you two alright? Just wait here, no need to get up.” You purred.
You made your way downstairs and quickly stacked three pieces for Katsuki and five for Eijirou, with a side of bacon on two separate plates, you grabbed the syrup from the pantry and carried the two plates with you and the syrup upstairs.
Eijirou was now lying on Katsuki’s chest and perked up when seeing you peek through the doorway. “Thank you baby!” He shouted before kissing you countless times all over your face once you got close enough and grabbing the plate you handed to him with the syrup.
Katsuki had waited until Eijirou was focused on food until taking his, “Did you make yourself one?” He questioned, he always was the type to worry over the both of you. “Yeah I already ate, don’t worry about me.” He hummed, content with your answer.
The two had finished their meals and you took their dishes downstairs into the sink to wash later. Making your way back upstairs they had convinced you to stay in bed again, just a little longer, though it was mostly Eijirou who did the convincing.
“Just a little longer…” He chirped, he tugged you closer towards him so now you were sandwiched between him and Katsuki. You weren’t uncomfortable though, no, you were happy. You were glad that Eijirou had confessed to you both. You’re glad Katsuki brought up the idea of buying a house to live in together. You were glad you had met them. You laid on your back while they curled around you.
You’re so glad it turned out this way, so glad.

II ! Once there was a way to get back homeward, (you're gonna carry that weight for a long time.)
✎ Synopsis ! You've been thrusted to carry the burden of the eldest after his passing. ( First | Second )
Content & warning: Jake sully x Daughter!Reader, Sully kids x Sister!Reader Neytiri x Daughter!Reader. Mentions of death and violence! Purely angst, trust me it does not get better. Neteyam died in the forest (the scene were quaritch first holds everyone hostage)
Tumblr media
The tension in the air was palpable, heavy with shame as Jake Sully and his children returned from their failed mission. They dismounted their ikrans stiffly, faces heavy with exhaustion and anticipation. Three of them trailed behind their father, each lost in their own thoughts.
“Sir, we were just trying to help–” Lo’ak tries to discern the suffocating atmosphere, only to be immediately cut off by his father’s grim expression. Jake was a seasoned warrior, but in terms of being a father, he knew he could still learn a thing or two. He felt his heart plummet when the jet plunged to the ground when he realized that both his sons weren’t on their Ikrans– his anger was misguided, but he couldn’t help but reprimand them.
“It doesn’t matter what you meant to do! You’re supposed to be spotters. Spot bogeys and call them in– from a distance! Do you have any idea,” He paused, flexing his jaw painfully tight that you were sure his teeth would shatter from the pressure. Jake was boiling in anger and it threatened to seep through his words, but he knew very well that the frustration was rooted in nothing but fear– the mission ended terribly and the wounds they carried back was enough evidence. “Do you have any idea what could have happened if your sister didn’t call in the incoming airship, huh? We would’ve been blown without notice, Jesus Christ, you could’ve been coming back here missing a limb. What’s wrong with you boy?”
“Sir, it’s my fault. I take full responsibility.” You shot Neteyam a glare, but his head remained hung low.
“Yeah, you do– that’s right. You’re the eldest here and you gotta act like it, you hear me?” He continued to berate him, “You’re not supposed to enable this knucklehead’s carelessness!”
“Dad, please.” You interrupted the heated argument, “Neteyam is actually bleeding.”
Jake’s expression softened slightly, but his tone remained harsh as he gave them nothing but a sharp dismissive nod. “Go patch yourselves up.”
You entered the hut once you knew it was clear of anyone but Neteyam. You approached his unmoving figure that seemed to stare at complete nothingness, fingers ghosting over the scratches of his skin. He hissed when you nudged him, still sore and aching from the wounds his grandmother just tended. “You really ought to shut your mouth when you’re not being spoken to," You said sternly, putting your weight on the table of scattered pastes and medicine. "You know what I mean."
Neteyam looked up at you, his expression already defensive as he knew deep down what was to come again. “I don’t need this right now,”
“You’re not listening.” You abruptly took a step forward, placing your hands on his shoulders, “You can’t keep covering for him! This isn’t about you being brotherly, it’s about him taking responsibility for his actions. You almost got yourself killed.”
“I’m not covering for anyone,” Neteyam replied, his voice tight with irritation. “Lo’ak is just young, __!”
“And you forget that you are a child yourself, Neteyam! The age difference between you and Lo’ak is not even that great of a gap, who are you fooling?” Your voice rose, seething with frustration. “What more could father take if you keep taking the blame off Lo’ak’s shoulders? You aren’t thinking! Do you not want him to trust you anymore? Do you want being olo’eyktan to be taken away from you before father could even step down to rest?”
“And who will be clan leader– you?” Neteyam let out a scornful snicker, his tone eerily calm that you would rather want him to scream at you over and over– but here he was, gaze so unforgiving that in that very moment, you wished you could’ve just swallowed your tongue instead; didn’t pry him over the edge beyond his composure. “You are soft, __. Instead of bones and muscles, you show your flesh naked. You do not bare your teeth enough to show even a glimpse of hostility. You are all but what the clan needs.”
Your eyes widen in hurt, feeling the sharpest of pain you've never felt before spiral in the deepest pits of your stomach, clawing your heart whole. Tears prickled at the corner of your eyes, mouth agape and embarrassed. “You don’t mean that.”
“If I didn’t, I would not have carried this much already,” He stands up, wanting nothing but to puke out the unsettling lump on his throat. “Tsmuke, I see you, but you don’t hear me sometimes.”
“And I wish not to anymore!” You tried to retort in the same ferocious tone, but the way your voice cracked had only made your brother’s expression soften. Hurt simmered inside you, filling in every fibre of your skin. You had always been the closest to Neteyam– he was your ally, your confidant, and you were his too. “Toruk Makto is still just our father and you mean more than a warrior to him; you’re his son and neytiri’s— My brother. To think that you look at me that way, so belittling and unkind, means that you don’t see me at all.”
“Maybe all that training did pay off. I barely recognize you anymore.” You stormed off that night, leaving him and his guilt to eat him away.
Tumblr media
You wished you hadn’t left it like that. If you knew that that very argument would be the last conversation you'd have with him, you would have been more softer, more understanding. You would have listened.
Now that he was gone, it was harder to unlearn, harder to digest. Every corner lurked his very shadow, still committing to his duties, still looking out for his family; his bloodied bow next to yours, the crafted hand-me-down trinkets, his hammock– it burned brightly, almost out of spite.
You wished to tell him that he was the best brother– that he was enough, that he never had to prove himself. You wanted more time. As you sat there, lost in thought, memories of your brother flooded your mind. You remembered the way he would always protect you, how he was always there for you no matter what. Perhaps you took him for granted, never truly realizing how lonely it was without his presence to fill in the spaces– he would probably be near Tuk, calming her down, or crouching beside Lo’ak and humoring the heavy atmosphere away. He would be with Kiri, supporting her newfound medicines, telling her how it was better than Mo’at’s even.
But he wasn’t here and right now, the place was a ghost town.
You felt your entire world crumble before your eyes as he turned limp in your hold. Every inch of skin felt eerily cold in contrast to the warmness seeping out of his form and down the grassy soil– eyes held nothing but a dull ache and the sky raged with its storm. You were surrounded by your kin not long after, but you’ve never felt more alone when his chest rose no more. Your words have only been out of anger and in that very second, you wanted nothing more than to swallow everything said. The last thing you’ve told him was of hatred and the next was mournful; that must be the most heart-wrenching ache the great mother could ever bestow. You couldn’t even muster an apology, there was no time for that.
You could barely process your parents' arguments, still sitting idly at the corner while your siblings eavesdropped. You couldn’t be bothered. Their voices slurred together, leaving only bits of coherent pieces– leave home. Those words echoed in your mind loudly; you were to leave, do something. Kiri paced back and forth, her hands wringing nervously.
Finally unable to bear it any longer, Kiri moved towards your unmoving figure and nudged it awake, “Sister please, do something.” She said, her voice shaking slightly. “Please, you have to interject– change father’s mind!” Only now did you focus your sight, gaze shifting to your sibling’s scared faces. What the hell were you doing? You were the eldest now, and while that label left a rancid taste on your tongue, you had to act immediately– You had to be like Neteyam.
You stood up, legs wobbling a bit, and made your way over to where your parents were arguing. You knew better than to interrupt, but hearing the argument unfold had put a weight on everyone. “You’re not thinking of actually leaving home, right?”
The room fell silent, their narrowed eyes slightly softening. “Stay out of this, __.” Frustration already boiled over, Jake could not handle his daughter interjecting right now.
“This is our home– Neteyam’s! And the crown you are to bestow upon Tarsem is his to inherit,”  You retorted, tone challenging. Neteyam had trained all his life for that, only to be taken away by a single bullet. It wasn’t fair.
“Quaritch has Spider and that kid knows everything. He knows our whole operation, he can lead them right in here.” His voice cracked upon hearing his son’s name. Jake could only palm his face; couldn’t bear to see his daughter nor his mate. How does he recover from the loss of his own blood? He could never, he thinks– no, he knows. His eldest was gone and no compensation could ever soothe the ache of burying their own child.
The moment he had presented Neteyam to the clan, lifting him high for everyone to see, the feeling was indescribable; how he had held him in his arms for the first time, and how he had promised to always be there for him, to protect him at all costs. He had grown to be so full of life, so full of promise. Absolutely eager to grow in his father’s shoes– He was his first son! And Jake never once thought that he’d be the first to go too; never once thought of cutting his son’s songcord so early.
“Your brother, he,” A pause, “He’s already gone, __. How many more would you risk before you say enough is enough? Kiri? Lo’ak? heck– even Tuk?”
There and then, you knew you couldn’t change his mind. The decision was final and you’ve failed everyone again.
Tumblr media
You weren’t at the ceremony– couldn’t bear to see Tarsem being crowned olo’eyktan. It was gone, all of it. What Neteyam worked so hard for, trained endlessly all his life, gone before he could even get a sense of recognition; an I see you, or a job well done from his father. It was gone, all of it. Your family thought you were just staying behind, waiting until it was over– but you stood in front of the hometree, queue in your hand.
“I need to hear you one last time, Neteyam. Tell me what to do, tell me,” You whispered under your breath, “Tell me how to be like you. I am so lost, brother.” Without him, there were no footsteps to follow nor any hand to guide you towards a slippery path. It was just you now, confused and so lost.
The closer you got to the tree, the more you felt the weight of your brother’s absence. Your eyes stung with tears as you kneeled in front of it, fingers tightly grasping the bark. As you shut your eyes, your mind was painted however of different scenarios. What if Eywa only replays that night? To reprimand you– to remind you that you are to blame? You fear that you’d be only greeted with an anguish so ugly.
You feared he wouldn’t want to actually talk to you.
The horns blasted in the distance and you knew you had to return. The glint of hope that flickered in your chest had been blown out in an instant– all the apologies melting on the tip of your tongue. With a heavy heart, you ran away, never to return.
You would never see your brother again and there was no coping from that.

Mockingjay - Part 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi guys :)
Chapter 3 is here!
I'm sorry if there is some part for the Games who isn't translated correctly, but like I already said English isn't my first language and I only watched the movies or read the book in my native language.
I hope you will like it, please let me know ♥
Chapter before
Tumblr media
Ona is nervous. She’s walking around in the room where Leila and his assistant have dressed and prepared her for the interview who will be aired everywhere in Panem. She hates the wait before something big, she’s really stressed about this interview too, but she hates that she has to wait before going to sit in that damn chair.
They are passing by District and the only moment when she stops walking in the room was when she saw Lucy. She’s wearing a beautiful green dress, and she looks perfect. Her hair, her smile… Everything in her is perfect.
Lucy talked about her life in the 4, her family and her brother who won her edition of the Games. Ona is like captivated by Lucy, so much that she doesn’t hear Alexia entering the room. The blonde looks at Ona with amusement for some seconds, arms crossed on her chest before talking softly, not wanting to scare the younger one.
“We have to do something about your crush.”
Even with Alexia’s precautions, Ona almost jumps out of her skin. She turns to Alexia, frowning, a hand on her heart.
“Are you trying to kill me before the Games?”
“No” Alexia chuckles.
She comes in front of Ona to put in place some hair behind her ear.
“You look beautiful, as always” Alexia smiles at her. “So, it was Lucy Bronze you were looking at, all this time?”
“Stop it” Ona mumbles with red cheeks.
“Why? It’s cute” Alexia says with a teasing smile. “Plus, you have good tastes. She looks amazing.”
“She does” Ona says thoughtfully, looking at the screen again.
But they passed to someone else, and she frowns while looking at the boy from the 5 talking about his qualities. Ona turns her gaze quickly now, looking at Alexia again.
“What does your girlfriend look like?” the brunette asks with curiosity.
“She’s smaller than me. Brown hair, brown eyes… And the most beautiful smile in Panem.”
Ona smiles softly. The way Alexia smiles when she talks about her girlfriend is really cute. Ona never asked her about her name, Alexia seems at ease with her relationship, but Ona doesn’t know how much she is. Homosexuality isn’t a thing a lot of people like, at least in the different Districts. It looks like it’s not so bad in the Capitol though.
“I think she would have loved you a lot too” Alexia adds, before looking at her watch. “We have to go now, or you will be late.”
Ona nods and lets Alexia pass a friendly arm around her shoulder, taking extra care not to wrinkle her clothes. Ona’s mind goes to Lucy one more time. They haven’t really talked since the day Lucy takes her to her quarters. They only smile at each other when they cross eyes, both not wanting for their partner not to mingle in their relationship. It isn’t even a friendship, but Ona feels her heart flutter every time.
“I know the situation isn’t ideal, but you still can try to get closer to her, no?”
“How?” Ona snorts. “Have you seen her? She exceptional and I don’t even know if she’s interested in girls”
“Yeah, I’ve seen her. And I see you too. You are pretty amazing yourself you know?”
Ona rolls her eyes and doesn't answer anything. In her eyes, Alexia isn’t impartial. The blonde doesn’t add anything, letting Ona’s mind go in what she just said. Once again, Tony is already here when Ona arrives, he’s waiting with one of Leila's assistants. Once again, Leila made her magic work.
“Alright, I have to go” Alexia says to Ona. “I’ll be in the public, if you are stressed or scared, just focus on me, ok?”
Ona nods softly, ignoring the others' gaze on them. Alexia smiles at her and hugs her.
“You will be great. Don’t be scared of being yourself. People will love you.”
Ona smiles softly at her and takes a big breath when she finds herself alone with Tony. The boy seems to be a little anxious too. He was a little resentful towards Ona after she chose not to come with him for training, but Ona decided to ignore it. He comes back to her very quickly anyway.
Tony is the first to pass, of course. They always present the boy first; Ona doesn’t really understand why. She was hoping to cross Lucy’s path after her interview, but it looks like the people who have already done the interview leave by another door. Tony seems to handle the interview pretty easily; he doesn’t seem stressed at all suddenly. Good for him, Ona thinks.
Some minutes later, it was her turn. Ona takes a big breath when the presenter calls her name. During her walk to the couch in the middle of the television set, Ona tries to spot Alexia in the crowd. She finally sees her just before being in front of the presenter, sitting next to Leila. Alexia winks at her and Ona greets the presenter with one of her brightest smiles. It’s now or never.
“Ona! It’s so nice to finally meet you!”
The presenter has bright but deep blue eyes in a banana hairstyle. He’s wearing make-up, like every single person in the Capitol after all. Ona asked Leila not to paint her face with make-up, she’s wearing some but not too much. It’s pretty simple. She likes it.
She has a small chat about her life in District 8, her family and her friends. She tensed a little bit when she heard him asking the next question.
“So… There is a question everyone here is asking themselves… You are talking a lot about your parents and your brother, but not about someone waiting for you in District 8. Aren’t you in a relationship?”
“No” Ona answer softly. “I’m single.”
“With a pretty face like you? I can’t believe it.”
Ona’s eyes went to Alexia, who nods almost imperceptibly at her. Ona swallows her saliva with a little difficulty.
“I had someone, some months ago. It was my first relationship and my first love.”
“What happened to him?”
The presenter seems really interested in what Ona has to say. He looks a little like an uncle who wants to hear all of your secrets.
“To her” Ona corrects gently.
“Oh, her. Sorry.”
He smiles at her, urging her to continue her confidences. Well, if we can call that confidences if thousands of people are listening to her.
“Two years ago, her name was raffled for the Games. She died in the arena here, in the Capitol.”
There is a beam of silence, no one was expecting this revelation. Ona looks one more time to Alexia, who is still looking right at her. They don’t look at each other for too long though, with professionalism, the presenter finally starts to talk again.
“If I remember correctly, the female tribute of the 8, two years ago, was Jana.”
“Yeah. It was her.”
“And what is your feeling about you being where she was? Do you want to take revenge for her?”
“No” Ona shakes her, softly frowning. “It would be useless; the same people aren’t here, and they only did what they had to do to survive. Jana… She was a dreamer, the sweetest and softest girl ever. She was my sunshine back to the 8. I still think about her every day.”
Ona looks at the hand the presenter puts in her arm, in a soft gesture probably to give her some reconfort. Is it fake or is it real? Ona doesn’t really know.
“Do you have something material in memory from her?”
“Not here” Ona shakes her head one more time. “I left everything in District 8. I thought it would be better for our parents to have them.”
The presenter smiles at her, with the same friendly uncle look as earlier.
“It’s very thoughtful of you. But I know that Capital keeps some things belonging to the Tributes for several years after they come here. Would you want me to find something for you?”
“It would be amazing” Ona smiles.
Her heart beat a little faster at that idea. She can’t say that she’s still in love with Jana, it would be weird. Jana is dead, she isn’t here anymore. But it doesn’t stop Ona to think about it every day anyway.
“I promise I will do everything to do it.”
“Thank you very much.” Ona gives him a new bright smile.
She’s touched, which is probably stupid from her. She doesn’t know if it’s just television and show. She probably won’t see something belonging to Jana, but she likes the idea.
They hug when it’s time for Ona to finish the interview and she greets the crowd with a wave before going behind the curtains once again. She breathes with relief there, feeling relieved and exhausted at the same time. Tony isn’t here anymore, and Ona follows slowly the floor before facing a door. She doesn’t have to open it, someone does it for her.
Two Peacekeepers frame her immediately, taking her in the room she was waiting before coming on set. There, she sits down on the couch, waiting for something. She doesn’t know what, the Peacekeepers haven't said anything to her before leaving.
Alexia will come for her some minutes later, hugging her at length before taking her back to their quarters.
********
Several hours later, after tossing and turning for hours in her bed, Ona decides to get out of her room. She tried to take another shower, but it didn't work. Even the “tea” they give the Tributes to help them sleep isn’t working.
She puts a short and a hoodie on her underwear and slides her feet in the tap shoes lent by the Capitol. She needs to breathe some fresh air, she almost hasn’t since she came here a week ago. There is a place called a garden, which is in fact more like a patio. She went there several times with Alexia or Tony, but they only are allowed twenty minutes per day.
They aren’t authorized to leave their quarters during the night, but she still can pretend to have a panic attack if someone catches her. It wouldn’t be totally wrong though; Ona is pretty sure that her troubles to breathe right now are linked to her difficulty to sleep. In District 8 the air wasn’t maybe very healthy, but she still can breathe fresh air every day.
That patio being in the seven floors, Ona chooses to take the stairs to go there. Like this, she won’t take the risk to wake someone up. She doesn’t see anyone during her walk to the garden, and she’s relieved to see that there is no one here.
Sighing softly, she lies down on one of the deck chairs here. The sky is dark and the more she looks, the more she’s able to watch more stars.
She doesn’t know how much time she stays there, finally feeling her breathing becoming calmer and deeper. She feels better now.
Until she hears some noise coming from behind her and the characteristic sound of an automatic door opening. Ona doesn’t have time to hide, she just has time to turn to face the person coming for her. She was waiting to see a Peacekeeper ready to beat her, but no.
It’s Lucy, who seems scared to face someone here, before realizing that it’s Ona.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Lucy whispers.
“And you?” Ona whispers back.
Lucy's eyes are scanning the place, probably looking for someone else. But there isn’t anyone here, Ona could have said it to Lucy.
“I couldn’t sleep” Lucy finally says.
“Me neither”
They look at each other before Lucy sighs and sits in another deck chair. She’s wearing a grey flannel ensemble with the hood on her head.
“Why can’t you sleep?” Ona asks casually.
It wasn’t probably the question you ask the crush you almost never talked to, but she does it anyway. Lucy seems surprised by the question of Ona, raising her gaze on her. Just when Ona was saying that she can not answer her question, Lucy opens her mouth to answer.
“I don’t know. I was thinking a lot about the trainings, the shows… Everything we went through since we are here.”
Ona nods, understanding perfectly. She doesn’t know how things go for the other Tributes and the other Districts. She has a great team around her, protecting her as much as they can. She’s not to be pitied, but it doesn’t mean that the traumatism isn’t here. She’s preparing for her own death. It’s a strange feeling.
“I saw your interview” Lucy suddenly says. “It was… It touched me.”
It’s Ona turns to raise her gaze on Lucy. She looks at her eyes for some seconds, before shrugging softly.
“Thanks. It was probably the last time I would be able to honor her.”
“She’s lucky.”
“Lucky?”
Ona’s frowning. She doesn’t understand why Lucy might be thinking that, especially knowing the way Jana died.
“To have her memory kept alive by someone like you. People here in the Capitol or in the career District forget the dead Tributes very quickly. It won’t hurt to have someone talking about someone who was here several years ago, just remembering them to people.”
Ona nods, finally understanding what Lucy wants to say. She might admit that she was a little mad about that comment, before Lucy can explain herself. She lets her body relax in understanding, looking at the sky again.
“Were your parents okay with your relationship?” Lucy asks softly.
Ona keeps looking at the stars for several seconds, before looking at Lucy again. It seems like Lucy realized the indiscretion of her question when Ona and her cross their gazes.
“Oh. I’m sorry if it was too straight-forward, of course you don’t need to answer that question” Lucy blunders, and this is the first time Ona sees her uncomfortable. “It’s just like… I don’t know, I feel like we are old friends or something. I’m sorry it was stupid of me.”
Trying to ignore the pleasant warmth in her body when she hears Lucy, Ona decides to get her out of her misery pretty quickly. They aren’t talking a lot; this encounter wasn’t even planned at all. It’s the first time they are talking alone like this. She doesn’t want Lucy to feel uncomfortable.
“I don’t mind your question” Ona assures her.
If they were next to each other, she would probably have put her hand on her leg to support her words. But Lucy is too far from her.
“They knew about Jana and me, and they were ok” Ona begins, smiling softly when she remembers some scene. “Jana and I knew each other from when we were little. I don’t know when things changed or if it was always here. But one day at dinner, my Mom just asked me if Jana was my friend or my girlfriend. I answer that it was my girlfriend, and they just go with it. They never made a big thing with it.”
Lucy nods softly, lost in her thoughts.
“It’s maybe the healthier way to go with it” she says slowly.
“I think so too. I feel like I could have come home with a boy or a girl and they wouldn’t mind. At least I was with someone, not like my brother” Ona rolls her eyes.
“There is a story behind that” Lucy smirks.
Ona laughs softly, shaking her head softly. Lucy was right, this conversation feels like they know each other for years, not only several days. She likes this feeling.
“Him and my best friend have always been in love, I think. They are both too stubborn to see it or maybe they don’t want to do anything because of me, I don’t know. But it’s really painful to watch.”
Lucy smiles at Ona’s rumble, not seeming to mind at all. She has a small smile and some tenderness in her face while looking at Ona. The younger one realizes it and is distracted about it for some seconds, before asking a question too.
“And you? What about your friends and family?”
“Well…”
Lucy opens her mouth to talk, but quickly closes her when they both hear a noise coming from the floor. They both turn in the direction, Lucy even getting up a little.
"Did you take the lift to come here?” Lucy whispers.
“No, I took the stairs. I didn’t want for anyone to hear me” Ona whispers back.
Finally, there isn’t another noise or someone coming. But there is a tension that wasn’t here before. Lucy finally turns in Ona’s direction, looking hesitant.
“Maybe we should go back to our room.”
“I think you’re right”
Ona sighs a little when she gets up from her chair, looking one last time at the stars. She smiles at Lucy when the girl lets her pass before her, turning in her direction when they are at the stairs. Lucy must go down while she has to go up.
“It was nice, talking to you” Ona mumbles, blushing softly.
“It was” Lucy confirms with a smirk. “See you tomorrow?”
“Yeah. See you tomorrow.”
With a wink, Lucy left her to go on the stairs. Ona watches her before going back to her room. She manages to sneak inside before being caught by anyone. Her bed is warm after the cold outside, and the feeling is amazing. She can’t stop smiling, thinking about her moment with Lucy. Her crush won’t probably pass soon, but she doesn’t mind. Lucy seems to be a very nice girl, not only a pretty face. And a hot body.
********
The training goes pretty great. Alexia is able to come to see them trains from time to time and is able to see what their qualities are. For Ona, she realizes that she has a big facility for climbing. Her small body is still strong and agile, and she doesn't have trouble passing from one place to another.
So, for her showcase, Alexia proposed to her to impress the jury with that. They designed a parkour with trees that Ona crossed in a record time. For fun, some members of the jury tried it, just to see they are way slower than Ona. They give her a 7 for that. Tony got an 8, just like Lucy. Those are pretty good notes.
But it’s not what filled Ona with happiness those past days. After her encounter with Lucy in the “garden”, she decides to go back the night before. Lucy was already there, waiting for her like it was planned for them to meet again.
They talk a lot here, about anything and everything. The training, their Partner, their team or what is on their mind at the time. Ona loves those moments together and how they are getting close to each other. They both decided to hide their friendship though, not wanting to become a target for the other tributes.
On the four nights, they are even on the same desk chair, partially hidden by a big flower box and a massive palm tree.
“You look tired tonight” Lucy says.
They already are here for one hour, talking about the food from home they are missing for the last ten minutes.
“I am. I usually sleep more than that” Ona admits.
“We can raincheck for tomorrow if you prefer”
Something in Lucy’s voice might make her think that Lucy doesn’t like that idea, but it bothers Ona to imagine wasting some time alone with Lucy.
“No. I like those moments” Ona frowns, looking at the older girl. “Those are the moments I love the most during my day”
Lucy giggles softly, rolling her eyes.
“I would be sad if you would rather fight than see me.”
Ona smiles only, looking at the stars again. With time, she learned that Lucy knows almost all the stars and constellations. Her grandfather told her when she was younger, he was a fishman and used the sky to go home at night with his boat. It’s almost the only things Lucy told her about her family, but Ona never pushed her to talk about them. She knows that it might hide something, and she doesn’t want to make Lucy uncomfortable.
“I heard that they let us call someone from home” Lucy whispers after some minutes of silence.
“What?” Ona says, her heart beating faster. “How do you know that?”
“I’ve got my sources.”
“Will it be filmed?”
“I think, they don’t have any advantage to offer that otherwise.”
Ona stays silent, thinking of who she would call. She thought about her parents and brother, of course. Her brother might be a good call, he probably could give her some advice. But hearing her mother’s voice for the last time is something she wants too. But on the other hand, she doesn’t want to choose between her parents, she feels like it’s unfair for her dad.
“Who would you call?” Ona asks Lucy.
The older girl stays silenced, looking at the stars. Ona almost believes that Lucy hasn’t heard her and was about to ask her question again, just when Lucy opens her mouth to answer.
“I don’t know. Maybe my brother.”
She seems sad with this answer. Ona frowns, turning on her side to have a better look at Lucy. The moon makes her face shine softly, just like her beautiful eyes. Ona feels like she can look at her all day without being tired of it. But she knows she has to be discreet not to pass for a creep.
“And you?”
Lucy gives her the question back, which isn’t surprising. Ona frowns softly trying to figure out her different possibilities.
“Maybe my best friend” Ona finally answers.
Lucy hums softly, still looking at the stars. Ona takes advantage of it to keep looking at her. She tries to oblige her eyes not to fall too long and too often on Lucy’s lips. Her crush gets stronger every day and she doesn’t know how long she can keep it under control.
“You seem sad” Ona finally says.
It strangely makes Lucy smile and she turns her head towards Ona. She seems to realize only now how close they are from each other.
“My family is a little bit complicated, that’s all. Don’t worry about me.”
Ona frowns once again, keep looking at Lucy. She has gained a little confidence since she and Lucy started hanging out together.
“Would you listen to me if I told you something like that?”
“Probably not” Lucy laughs softly.
Ona doesn’t answer anything, she just raises both of her eyebrows and turns her head to look at the sky again. It’s a nice day today, the sky is clear. Yesterday they weren’t able to see any of the stars.
“Do you find it strange? That we get along so well considering the circumstances?” Ona asks suddenly.
“No. I think we’ll get along too if we have met somewhere else. Or in another life…”
“In another life…” Ona repeat for herself.
She feels sad, suddenly. She hasn’t felt that way since the beginning and she has trouble explaining this sudden wave of feeling. It is almost intoxicating and like this other day in the car, she has trouble breathing correctly. She tries to settle her breathing not to alert Lucy.
“Hey, are you ok?”
Try again, Ona.
She nods, but despite that, Lucy stands a little on the chair, not to be lying anymore. She sits and faces Ona, putting a hand on her stomach. Ona feels shivers despite herself, and she almost hates her body to react that way while she’s not far from a panic attack.
“Look at me” Lucy says softly. “And breathe with me.”
She takes Ona’s hand with the one she hasn’t on her stomach, just to put it on her stomach too. Looking deep in Lucy’s eyes, Ona finally manages to breathe normally again after several minutes.
“You’re okay” Lucy keeps repeating.
It’s not totally true, but Ona doesn’t answer anything. Right now, with Lucy, she is ok. She feels safe. She has to focus on this.
“Thanks” Ona finally whispers.
“Anytime.”
There is a sincerity behind Lucy’s words which can seem strange because of their situation. But Ona wants to believe her.
They look at each other for several times, before Lucy opens her mouth to say something.
“Ona, I- “
She’s cute by a big noise, making both of them jump in the air. They both know that it sounds like the end of their meeting for tonight.
“We better go” Lucy says.
Ona groans for any answer, sitting on the chair too. She doesn’t want to, but she knows it’s better for them. Once again, they won’t do anything to them here, but they can easily make things look like an accident.
“I’m going first” Lucy decides.
Ona nods and sighs, standing up too. She watches when Lucy turns around to look at her again and froze when the dark-haired girl leans on her to put a kiss on her cheek. Pretty close from her lips.
“See you tomorrow night”
And then, she’s not here anymore. Ona needs several seconds to come back to reality and finally leave the garden too. She goes to her quarter silently, lost in her thoughts. She wasn’t expecting to see someone in her bedroom when she arrives, so much that she misses the silhouette of the person here.
“Where the fuck were you?!”
Ona jumps out of her skin and jumps so much that she knocks her head against the door of the room. The lights go on and Alexia is standing in the middle of the room, arm crossed and a very angry expression on her face.
“When Tony told me that you were leaving your room in the middle of the night, I didn’t want to believe him. I told myself that you weren’t this stupid and unconscious. You better have to have a good explanation, Ona.”
Tony. Of course he will open his damn mouth. And how does he know that Ona was leaving her room? That’s pretty strange in Ona’s opinion.
“How does he know that?” Ona frowns.
“That wasn’t my point here.”
Alexia seems really furious. Ona swallows her saliva with difficulty and shrugs, suddenly not able to look at her Mentor. She’s not screaming but she’s talking so coldly that Ona would have preferred the first possibility.
“I’m fighting for you, Ona. I try to make you look good for sponsors and attract good attention to you. But if people learn that you don’t comply with the rules here, you are a lost case. We don’t laugh with rules in the Capitol. If you do bad things, it’s not only you who will have something to repair, but your family too. And if they know I protected you, they will go for my family.”
It suddenly attracts Ona’s attention again. She never thought that they could go after her family for something she did. She’s suddenly scared, and Alexia is probably easily seeing that on her face.
“Please, don’t say anything to the Leaders.”
“I’m asking you one last time, Ona. Where were you?”
Ona bites her lip. She doesn’t want to drag Lucy into her problems. She can’t believe that Tony snitched like this.
“I was in the garden. It’s where I go” Ona finally answers.
“Alone?”
There is another silence, while Ona thinks again about telling the truth or not. She doesn’t want to lose Alexia’s trust, but she cares so much for Lucy.
“I don’t want her to have any problem” Ona finally whispers.
“I won’t tell anyone” Alexia says.
Still chewing her lip, Ona raises her eyes again on Alexia. She wasn’t able to realize it, but Alexia’s gaze softened those last seconds. She seems happy to hear the truth and Ona saying it. Maybe Alexia already knows everything.
“I was with Lucy”
Alexia looks at her for several seconds and sighs finally, before pinching her nose.
“Teenagers” she grumbles before looking at Ona again. “Go to bed.”
She passes next to Ona to leave the room. Ona feels uneasy. She hates conflict, fights and arguments. She hates the fact that Alexia might be disappointed about her, or even upset.
“Alexia…”
The blonde was closing the door behind her but still slid her head through the gap of the door. She looks at Ona with her hazel eyes and Ona has trouble looking at her while talking. But she still does.
“I’m sorry. For disappointing you and making you mad at me.”
Alexia seems to soften finally completely and comes into the room again. She takes the time to close the door again before talking.
“I’m not disappointed in you, Ona. But between you and Tony, you are my favorite from far away. I would be mad if you get yourself in trouble because you go flirting with another Tribute at night. You have to be careful about yourself.”
Ona nods once again and is surprised when Alexia hugs her. She hugs her back, her nose somewhere on the other girl’s shoulder.
“Be careful with Tony, okay? I don’t like his comportment with you.”
“How does he know that I’m leaving at night?” Ona asks again.
Alexia sighs and lets go of Ona before answering.
“He said he was hungry and wanted something to eat when he saw you leaving. I really want to believe him. If it’s not that, he’s spying on you and it’s really disturbing.”
It is. Ona feels her stomach twist in a way that is everything but good. Why in the world would he spying on her? To know what she’s doing? Or is he spying on her for someone else?
“Don’t worry. I’ll have an eye on him, ok? Now try to sleep, you still have training tomorrow.”
“Yeah. Thank you.”
Alexia smiles softly and leaves the room for good this time. After a quick shower, Ona goes to bed. Once again, her mind is full, between Alexia’s revelations and what happened with Lucy in the garden.
Sure, it was just a kiss on the cheek. But she can’t forget the feeling she got when Lucy’s lips were on her skin. The perfection of her smell, the softness of Lucy’s lips. She’s smiling like a fool when she finally manages to fall asleep, not wanting to consider for now if she will be able to see Lucy at night again. Maybe they’ll find another way to be together. They have to.

Choso can't stop thinking about your soft lips.
The day you kissed him after he confessed was the day a lot of things changed, because he never felt the feeling of love before.
Even after months pass by, he still gets shivers and hearts in his eyes whenever he sees you doing just mundane things.
His obsidian eyes.... They hold a lot of affection.
"Choso babyyy!"
“Yes darling?”
He turns his attention toward you when you call out to him. He really loves hearing your sweet voice ...sometimes a little too much.
"Do you wanna go for a walk? The sky looks really pretty today! " He lifts himself up from the couch and heads towards you, circling his arms around your waist and hugging you .
“Great idea love...there is that park we haven't explored still...I heard that there are some swans .” he adds.
"Oh myy! We can climb to that small hilltop and have a nice view of the sunset too Chosoo!!" You snuggled against him, agreeing to the idea.
Choso hid his face in between your neck, taking in your natural scent and peppering few kisses . The thought of seeing the sun setting over the city with you , a goddess in his eyes sounds more than nice to him.
"Umm..I should probably change into suitable clothes...be right back love!" “Suitable clothes?” Choso enquires, confused by the statement. He glances down at your clothes and shrugs.
“You look fine to me darling..what are you changing into something a little more scandalous ?” he joked.
".....well...do you want me to?" you responded back smirking a little.
Choso’s cheeks flush red at your question. He wasn’t expecting that response, and he definitely wasn’t expecting you to be so blunt about it.
His eyes roam over your body as if he’s trying to imagine what you’d look like in “scandalous” clothing. A smirk forms onto his lips.
“..yeah...I’d like that..tell you what...go to our room and in the bottom left corner of the drawer , is a bag...wear that outfit and show it to me yeah? ”His response comes out slowly, as if he’s trying to keep his cool.
"Something tells me that we're not gonna go out for a while.." you whispered , silently enjoying the attention Choso was giving you on your neck ; him leaving hickies here and there.
"I'll be back with my outfit....daddy~" you said seductively, locking eyes with him. Choso’s eyes widened , blood rushing to his cheeks and down there ; tightening his pants in response to your cheeky words.
Anticipation is coursing through his body, and he’s silently dying to see what you looked in that oufit.
Few minutes later , you came out wearing a mesh lingierie set with plunging neckline, and a mid-rise thong . Choso looks up when he hears your footsteps. His breath hitches in his throat , his mouth instantly going dry.
“Fuck princess...you look absolutely delicious .”
His fingers ache to touch you, to feel the soft material of the lingerie against his palms. He swallows hard as he keeps looking you up and down, his eyes now clearly full of lust.
You teased him by slowly squatting down and began to slowly move your hips and ass sexily. Choso lets out another hoarse breath. “..You’re gonna kill me looking like that.”
He reaches a hand out and gently grabs you, pulling you up to him. “I’m having a hard time not just taking you inside right now..”
You flinched when you felt the material of the skirt lift off your skin and Choso smiled. He flipped the skirt over , revealing smooth skin covered by black lacy underwear. He felt himself grow harder as he fought the urge to rip off the remaining material and force his cock inside you.
Choso let his hand slide down and gripped your clothed pussy roughly , making you moan in delight. He smirked as he slowly rubbed the damp material with his finger.
You continued to moan and pressing yourself against his fingers for more friction. "Good girl." Choso praised as he slid a finger inside. You moaned as sense of happiness overcame you.
He slid another finger inside and moved them in a circular motion before thrusting them in and out with more force. Your back arched and moaned out his name as you tightened your grip on the counter.
"Choso~!" you cried out, "I-I'm going to cum!" stammering . Just as you felt you couldn't take much more, Choso pulled his fingers out of your soaking pussy. You whimpered as you felt his fingers leaving your entrance.
"Arch your back for me, kitten," He said in a deep voice as he moved his hands to your waist. You felt his hands travel to your bra clasps. Choso gazed at your soft beautiful breasts with stiffened nipples.
You felt her body being pulled down, and you turned your head to see Choso’s face between your legs ."Wai-" You were cut off by your own cries of ecstasy as Choso slid his tongue over your clit. You kept screaming his name while he continued to swirl his tongue over the bundle of nerves, enjoying the sultry taste.
Choso continued his sensual torture and glanced up at your pleasured face. As he anticipated that you were close to climax , he swirled his tongue around inside and gripped your hips before pulling away. He stood up as you looked at him in bewilderment. Choso pulled your legs over his shoulders before he rammed himself inside you.
You cried out in pain and pleasure, astonished by his size. Even though you guys fucked many times, it felt as if it was the first time again.
Choso stayed still, letting you adjust to his big hefty cock. "Fuck babe, you're so tight," Choso murmured as he slowly began thrusting in and out at a steady pace. Your mind was consumed with pleasure as you let out lewd noises.
Choso leaned forward and gently bit your nipple, tugging on it as he ran his tongue over it. You moaned , allowing your hands to pull at Choso’s hair.
Choso growled as he stood up straight and continued fucking you mercilessly. You wrapped your legs around his waist. He found your lips with his own and locked into a desperate, heated kiss. You pulled out of the kiss and panted in between your moans. "Choso, I'm going to -"
Choso cut you off with a kiss and bit your bottom lip. "Me too." He groaned when you squirted with your legs trembling violently.
Choso finished in a few more thrusts. He placed his hands on either side of your face and looked down at you with a softened gaze. You were still caught up in the high of your own orgasm as you shifted your gaze to his eyes and smiled tiredly.
"Lets stay in bed and cuddle my love...I don't think you can walk up to the hill like this" He giggled. You, who was half awake after being fucked out of their mind , looked up at him wondering if he was still the same man who completely destroyed your pussy.
" You know....next time ..we should try putting inside your ass.." he exclaimed while cuddling you.
You smacked him in the back as he laughed at your shocked face. " Can't help it babe..when you're this sexy and all mine" he said.
" All yours" you said as you let darkness take over you.

fluffy kid!stancest first kiss on glass shard beach would be so cute maybe by the swings or when they first find what would become the stan o war
Tumblr media
combining these two together, but 2nd anon PLEASE know your ask got me writing old stancest at first that immediately turned hurt and comfort, so i'll be posting that when i actually finish it udndhdhdu this one is a bit of a rush job, BUT i hope you guys like it! this is my first time writing kid stancest, trying to run my head over how boys just banter and this is the best i could relay lmao. also if ford's internal dialogue isnt as flowery as it ought to be, it's mostly because i do still want it to sound like it's coming from a child, and i imagine Ford's internal dialogue wasn't fully realized until he's at least a littls older, you know?
anyway enough stalling: please enjoy!
~~~
Ford thinks he could stay like this forever.
Sitting on a crate, Stanford watches Stanley draw on the sand with the end of a big stick, planning all their great adventures when they finally get out of this place, the promise of their Big Day of Adventure made them giddy all day, bouncing on the heels of their feet all over the beach until the deck guys they "borrowed" a can of paint from earlier found them, chasing them off and forcing the two of them to take cover. They did, only belatedly realizing they had to come back for their ship since their dream did rely on them fixing up the boat to be in top condition for it to sail. Luckily they didn't take their ship, so the two of them were able to push it back into the alcove they found it, keeping it their own little secret.
Ford looks at it in awe again. In bold letters, "The Stan O' War" stares back at him. Their promise of the future. A future with his brother, forever
"And then— Poindexter are ya listening?!" Stan asks, tapping the stick lightly on Ford's head who swats it away with a laugh.
"Yeah, yeah! I am, I am!"
"Good, cuz you better hear this!" Stan resumes drawing on the sand. Ford looks down, tilting his head quizically.
"Why are we standing on top of the sun?"
"That's an octopus!" Stan points to the pile of squigly lines Ford thought had been the ocean. "See?"
"That's still kinda impossible."
"Aw, shuddap!" Stan scoffs playfully, then proceeds to draw fish tails with long noses and circle ends.  "Of course its possible! This is after I killed it, and we're doin' a victory cheer on top of it!" Stan pumps his fist in the air, and begins chanting, echoing loud across the alcove: "PINES! PINES! PINES! And after—"
"Wait, how did we kill it?"
"I beat it up, duh!"
"What did I do?"
Stan huffs. "You math, science and bored it to death, you big nerd," he says with an annoyed expression, which quickly gives away to snickers as he dodges the fistful of sand Ford throws in his direction, leaving a grainy cloud in its wake. Stan points back at his drawing, at the long nosed fish with lines protruding off the top. Until Ford blinks, and tilts his head again, realizing that the messy scribbles are probably meant to be... "Anyway, after we totally beat this giant octopus monster, all the mermaid babes will be all over us! They'd give us kisses, and hugs, and and–"
Covering his mouth with his hand, Ford snorts loudly. "Stanley... you want to kiss fish ladies?"
An offended look crosses Stan's face, and if it wasn't for the sunburn already staining his and Ford's skin an angry, blistering red, Ford could swear Stan was blushing, his cheeks puffing, brown eyes wide and fists clenching. Cute, Ford thinks, so quickly, he almost doesn't catch it.
But he does.
Just like how his shoulder catches Stan's fists, sending him to more fits of giggling as he goes down.
"Shaddup, shaddup, shut uuuuuuuup," Stan continues his playful assault, clearly trying to not to smile, but Ford's laughter catches him like the infectious bug that went around school three months ago, and his grin stretches wild as he pushes Ford to the ground, and planting himself on Ford's short legs. Ford's hand land on his shoulders, trying and obviously failing at pushing off his stronger brother with all his twelve fingered might, but maybe it's because Ford is laughing too much he's out of breath, chest shaking while he heaves his giggles. Maybe it's the weird but nice heaviness Stan is forcing on him, and Ford counts that as the fifth time this day Stan made him feel that: 'weird but nice.'
Yesterday was seven whole times.
"Get off me, jerk!"
"You're the jerk," Stan argues, catching Ford's hands and pinning them down to the sand, grinning at Ford who's completely caught under him. "You've been making fun of me the whole time!"
"No I wasn't! I think it's cool you wanna kiss fish ladies!"
"They're not fish ladies, Sixer! They're mermaids!" Stan argues, looking a lot like Ford when he exasperatedly explains that solving the daily crossword on the newspaper is not lame, just with the additional large gap between his teeth, bandage on his face, cute puffy cheeks, which almost sends Ford to another laughing fit. "Mermaids are cool! No, they're hot!"
"If you say so," Ford shrugs, feeling the soft grains of sand move against his back. "They'd smell like fish though, but I think you would like that."
"Pfff," Stan lets go and straightens up to blow a raspberry, tilting himself to flop onto the sand next to Ford, moving so his fingers brushed Ford's when at their hips. Sixth. "Like you're any different. I bet you have a lot of weird stuff you wanna kiss too. You're obsessed with your ano– anama—"
"Anamolies."
"Aliens. I bet you wanna kiss aliens."
"No I don't!"
"Yeah, you do!"
"I don't," Ford insists, but he's definitely thought about it. Not in a weird way, of course. He wonders about kissing a lot of things, like growing boys do, like the health developmental sections of science books say so! Girls. Boys sometimes.
Boys most of the time.
A boy, most of the time.
"If you say so," Stan repeats dismissively, stretching his arms over his head while Ford watches behind his glasses. Feeling the sand starting to get to that 'pointy, sticky and annoying' state when someone lays on it, he sits up, eyes landing on the Stan O' War again. Stan follows, quickly sitting up.
"What'cha thinking of?"
"Just wondering the capability of weight distribution on the boat."
"Uh...."
"I wonder if it's actually strong enough to hold us up to sail. We're gonna have to fix that up before we take it to the water, remember? Maybe it's not even built for two people."
The last part came out of his mouth without thinking, and Ford is alarmed with the quick moment of doubt. For a second, their dream seemed a little impossible.
Stan pushes himself up, and runs to the stationed boat.
"Stan? What are you—"
"Keep up, Sixer!" Stan exclaims, grabbing onto the ledge of the boat, and suddenly Ford is running after his brother. All caution thrown out of his system when Stan lifts himself over the edge and on top of the boat's deck effortlessly.
"Stan!"
"Look, Ford, it's fine!" Stan exclaims, arms spread wide and standing victoriously. Ford grabs hold of the ledge, and tries to lift his legs over, only to almost fall off with a "Whoa!"— until Stan's hand latches onto his.
"Hold on," Stan tugs until Ford's body lifts high enough for him to wrap his arms around Ford's shoulders. He grunts, pulling the rest of his twin's body with all his strength before falling onto the deck, Ford landing on top of his legs.
Somehow, they find themselves almost exactly as before, just in reverse, skin still grainy and sticky and hot-red, Ford's chest shaking again but this time it's from panting in the short burst of physical activity. His face close to Stan's, Ford feels a bubbling in his chest, a little tingle all over his skin. One he wants to blame on the summer heat still simmering outside the cave or maybe the sunburn all over his back and torso, but it's not that.
Seventh.
"You're kinda heavy for a stick, Sixer."
Ford punches his shoulder this time, smirking. "Shut up, jerk."
"Now you hate it," Stan comes back smugly, then glances down at the deck. "Hey, look! It can hold the both of us after all!"
Remembering his previous concerns, he looks down on the boat, then raps his knuckles onto the floorboards. It's actually pretty sturdy for how old Ford theorized it to be. That's pretty cool.
"Guess we can cross that out of the stuff we have to fix up," Ford concludes. He pushes his glasses over his nose, thinking deeply again. "Still have a lot of stuff to consider though. Plus, who knows how much bigger we'll get too..." He muses, mostly to himself.
So many to consider... Ford doesn't think even his freakish hands could count all the ways it could go right, or wrong, if it goes anywhere at all... it's kind of big, and open, and Ford thinks it's almost like the ocean itself.
"Eh, don't worry about that stuff so much, Sixer," Stan shrugs, his voice breakjng through Ford's train of thought. Ford realizes he's still very much on Stanley's legs, and maybe it's because all the running, pushing, wrestling they've done all day that completely wrung him out, or maybe it's because the warm bubbling in his chest that overflows and keeps his own legs stuck like sap, but unlike Stan, Ford can't bring himself to move off, move away from Stan. His brown eyes wide, grin with a goofy gap in the teeth and cheeks puffing, Stan looks ready to sail off right then and there.
"As long as you've got me, we can do everything. We're getting out of this place no matter what."
Ford smiles warmly. Somehow he could never get tired doing that around his brother and that's weird. It's nice. His hands find Stan's shoulders, and without thinking, he blurts out:
"Stanley... It wasn't aliens."
"Wait, wha—"
And Ford presses his lips to Stan's. He doesn't really know how to do this. It's kinda gross, with Stan tasting like sand and sweat from rolling around it all day, but so did Ford and getting past that, it just feels good. Almost on instinct, he pulls away panic rising at throat, because Oh no, Stan will think I'm a freak too.
But Stan leans forward too, almost knocking Ford's glasses away and also not knowing what he's doing, but it feels nice. Really, really nice.
Eighth.
Ford thinks he could stay counting those forever.
Hiiii. I just read the new chapter of lab partners and it was 10/10 as always 🥰 Also I got another idea! What a about a pool party?👀 Now that Miggy is more popular he is invited to a pool party and he sees Y/N on a cute swimsuit and he goes crazy, but tries to keep it together to not look like a creep in front of her 😂 Especially when things are more tense after they almost kissed 👀👀👀👀
Thank you love!!!! I definitely wanted to lean into the tension left over from their almost kiss👀 I'm also using this one to set up the post I'll put out on V-Day!!!!
Pool Party
Tumblr media
Artist cred: Supayell on Instagram!
He hates his brother, not really, but he does want to kill him. It was Gabriel’s idea to invite everyone over, to rent one of their apartment’s pools and throw a party. So now here Miguel is, forced to watch as you gallivant around in a dark blue bikini, with adorable little white hearts all over it, while he’s trying to keep himself from revealing his difficult situation.
Gabriel pushes the cabana’s curtains back even further than they were before and flops into the pool chair next to him, handing him some mixed drink in a red solo cup. “Enjoying the view?” Gabriel asks, lowering his sunglasses and letting out a wolf whistle in you and Mina’s direction. “Lookin’ good baby.”
Mina rolls her eyes but smiles and blows him a kiss, before linking arms with you and dragging you off towards a few of your other friends.
You’re so happy, smiling and giggling, drink in hand, swaying your head slightly in time with the music. He knows you, knows you love to dance, but there’s too many people here that you don’t know, so you stick with Mina, and stay away from the cleared out space in front of the speakers.
“It’s a nice party.” Miguel says, sipping on his drink. The taste of coconut rum coats his tongue, the pineapple juice mixed in, dulling the sting of the alcohol. He can barely feel it, a sense of dread making his mouth go numb when he sees you making your way over, a bottle of sunscreen in your hand and a drink in the other.
You smile at him, then give him a confused look when Gabriel squeezes his shoulder and bounds off towards a now unoccupied Mina.
“He’s probably going to try to convince her to go back to the apartment with him.” Miguel jokes, swallowing hard as he realizes just how pretty you look.
Your hair shines in the sun, your skin practically glowing, and your breasts—fuck he’s got to keep it together, he needs to look literally anywhere else—his eyes land on your lips, curled up in a smile, your lips glossy with chapstick, soft and supple looking. Not better, not better at all, because now he’s thinking about kissing you.
He shifts in his seat, praying no one notices the awkward way he’s sitting. Thankfully, the side curtains of the cabana are still down, so he just has to worry about anyone walking in…and you.
“He can try, but I know Mina’s been waiting all week for this party, there’s no way she’ll leave.” You laugh, shaking the sunscreen that’s in your hand, before downing your drink and setting it on the ground next to you.
“Yeah…are you enjoying the party?” Miguel asks, taking a big swig of his drink. Liquid courage, right?
“I mean, the drinks are good, music’s good, snacks are great, and I got to wear my new swimsuit, so yeah, I’d say I’m enjoying myself.” You gesture to your bathing suit as if it isn’t the very thing Miguel is trying not to look at.
“I like the color.” He says, taking another swig of his drink.
You beam up at him and toy with the strings holding the bottoms together. “Thank you, I was a little worried it would be too dark, but I actually really like it.”
His inebriated mind plies him with an image of you undoing those strings and letting him feast, suffocating him with your soft thighs, biting down on your fist to keep the others from hearing your moans.
He nearly groans aloud at the thought, hiding his face in his drink.
“Can I try that?” You ask, shifting to tuck your legs under you, your full attention on him.
“W-What?” He stutters, trying to banish the lewd image from his mind and focus on your words.
“Your drink, you’ve basically been chugging it, it’s gotta be good.” You elaborate, giving him a playful smile.
“Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, of course.” He hands you the drink, and you bring it to your mouth then frown.
“It’s empty.” You pout at him, leaning forward to set it on the small wooden table beside him, the stretch of your body, your bare skin brushing against his, makes his head swim.
“Sorry?” He manages to get out, his hand shooting to grip the side of the pool chair for stability.
“No worries, I’m a big girl, I can take it.”
He bets you can. Bets he’d fit perfectly, lying below you as you ease yourself down onto his coc—
Suddenly, you turn your back to him and pull your hair up off your neck. “Do you mind putting sunscreen on my back? I want to get back in the sun, but I don’t want to burn.”
He’s going to die, right here, right now.
“Yeah, sure I—I can do that.” He takes the sunscreen from you, apologizing when you hiss from the change in temperature.
You both sit quietly as he rubs the sunscreen in, making sure there’s no white cast, his large hands smoothing over your back, and shoulders, taking care to get every inch while trying to remain as respectful as possible.
“I have to—do you mind—?” He lifts the thick strips of fabric that keep your bathing suit together ever so slightly, waiting for you to nod, or pull away.
“No, no, you’re good, I’ll just…” You hold your top to your body with one hand just in case as Miguel rubs the lotion in, much quicker than before.
“Okay, I think you’re all good.” He says, snapping the cap back on the bottle.
You don’t turn around, staring at the canvas of the cabana. “Hey, can I ask you something?”
He nods, before realizing you obviously can’t see him. “Yeah, of course, anything.”
You turn now, but you won’t meet his eyes, too focused on fidgeting with your nails. They’re different shades of pink, a pleasant gradient ending in white on your thumbs. “My sorority’s semiformal, Valentine’s Day dance thing is coming up, would you maybe want to go with me?”
He’s stunned, frozen, astounded, flabbergasted, astonished, a dozen other words to say he’s shocked. Shocked that you’re asking him. That you want him to come with you to this event, honestly, he’s still shocked you want to be seen in public with him.
Do you feel the same way he does? He’s been hoping, praying, your almost kiss lingering, haunting him, plaguing his dreams, his every waking moment.
He says yes at the same time you say, “as friends,” and his world shatters.
“I don’t want to make you feel weird or anything, no pressure, just two friends have a good time at a Valentine’s themed dance.” You give him a smile, but he knows you, knows it’s fake, and he feels a twinge of hope in his chest once more.
“It’s not weird.” He reassures you, wishing he had another drink to drown his maybe sorrows maybe half-baked hope in.
You wrap your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. “Okay yay! I’ll figure out our outfits and all the details, and I’ll get them to you.”
You bound off in the direction of your friends, leaving Miguel’s skin tingling, his heart hurting, and his stomach twisted into knots.
Aur naur requests are open!
Can I request Vil,Leona and Azul (separate) with a fem!reader s/o reading a horror novel and they ask what she's reading and she explains in great detail the terrifying disturbing things in the novel. I'm reading the novel Misery and I'd recommend it. It's a great horror novel!
SUMMARY: Their S/O describes something morbid from a book they're reading.
WARNINGS: Death (Azul, Vil.) Torture (Vil.) and Murder (Azul.)
COMMENTS: i pulled out my own horror novels for this (and some really freaky history shit. i'm going to talk about the bloody countess btw)
ALSO IF YOU CATCH WHAT IM REFERENCING IN LEONA'S I LOVE YOU
i took vil's in a different direction because i was inspired so yeah
Tumblr media
When Leona asked you what you were reading, he didn’t expect you to absolutely light up. You scoot close to him and place the book on his thigh, and Leona decides to humor you even if he was trying to nap.
“One of the characters is running for their life right now.” you say, giggling like it’s the funniest thing in the world, “There’s this creature that he’s hallucinating due to a goopy thing that got injected into him on a bridge—no I’m not going to explain so don’t ask—and it leaves goopy footprints everywhere. It goes from just standing there to running after him and when he looks back there are handprints on the ground too. It’s so creepy to think of something bounding after him that he can’t even see!”
Leona pauses to soak in the information you just dumped on him before groaning. If that’s what you’re into, he’s not going to judge. Just as long as you stop giggling so he can sleep.
Tumblr media
When Azul asks you what you’re reading, it’s a simple attempt at small talk. He rests his arm on the booth you’re sitting at and leans over your shoulder, curious.
“This is a good part,” you beam, scooting over in the booth so he can sit down, “This guy just got killed and his corpse is all bloated. It’s like water has been forced under his skin and filled up his lungs as he gargled for mercy...his mouth is still open and everything too, and it's like his jaw has been stretched by all his screaming. His limbs are all twisted up and his eyes are rolled back and oh, don’t worry about it!! He was shitty and I hated him. He deserved it!”
Azul blinks, slowly processing everything you just told him. Ah, so that’s what you like to read. Very interesting, however morbid it may be. Perhaps you should talk to Jade, no? He would find this just as fascinating as you.
Tumblr media
When Vil asks you what you’re reading, he does it as a way to start a conversation with you. You seem very intrigued by what you’re reading, scribbling down notes on a separate sheet of paper.
“It’s a biography on the Queen of Hearts.” you explain, not looking up from your paper, “I read a lot of novels about women who killed back in my world, so I wanted to compare her to them since she executed her citizens without much consideration for their lives. See, the Bloody Countess is one of the more notable ones, torturing her servant girls by pouring honey on their bodies and letting bugs bite them in the spring. In the winter, she would pour cold water on their bodies and watch them freeze. She would also jam sharp objects under their nails and—”
Vil nods along to what you’re saying, intrigued by your train of thought. He obviously isn’t aware of what your world holds, so hearing about it in relation to his world is fascinating.
Calamitous Love Chronicles: Delicate Beginning Rush (2/4)
ex veteran!Steve Rogers x reader
Tumblr media
Premise: Steve Rogers blows into town in search of some estranged family. As he settles into civilian life, he realizes leaving work is hard and perhaps the world will never stop needing him.
Warnings: depictions of PTSD, mentions of abandonment by a romantic partner, complex familial dynamics, sexual content.
Thank you to @hyperfixationhovel. And if you're still around, thank you for being here as I find myself again.
Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
After dinner, Ari and his wife helped set up Ari’s old bedroom to be Steve’s for the duration of his stay.
“You’re welcome as long as you need to stay,” Ari reassured. “Absolutely no rush for you to get back on your feet. Sounds like you’ve been through hell.”
While they all tried to get to know him, they understood that there were some things that weren't yet ready to be spoken about. Nobody pushed him, and Steve shared what he was able to.
Settling under the covers with a sigh, Steve rolls his shoulders back to relax his muscles. He places his palms on top of the flannel sheet, the fibers sticking to the clammy skin. With a swipe of his hand, he tries to get rid of the moisture, but it just causes more to come to the surface.
Steve decides to clench his fists instead but reminds himself to keep his face relaxed to try and go to sleep.
The visions behind his eyelids are relentless; as one washes away, another comes to replace it. Resigned, he opens his eyes and looks out the window.
The moon is full, surrounded by gray wispy clouds gliding across the sky, carried by a silent wind. Sighing again, Steve shifts around to make himself comfortable. Cheek pressed against the pillow, he realizes the nightmares started when he began his journey back home.
On missions, sleep was precious and time was a commodity. To any normal person, sleep is a time of respite from day-to-day life, filled with fantastically pleasant images or even nothingness as the body recovers from the exhausting burden of living. To Steve and his team, it was a short burst of rest, a hard reset before getting right back to business.
Always on the move, there was never any time for demons or terrible memories to catch up to him. But now, with all the time in the world, he’s a sitting duck and those dark thoughts are poised, ready for the kill.
Steve watches as the moon moves across the sky like a screensaver, keeping everything that haunts him at bay. As the sky turns a shade lighter, he gets up and rifles through his clothes, scattered between his bags and dresser.
Dressing in some joggers, a pullover, and grabbing his running shoes, Steve quietly makes his way through the living room and out the front door. After he nudges his feet into the shoes, he takes off, running down the beaten path through the woods.
- - -
“There you are!” Marcella greets Steve as enters the cabin. “How many eggs do you want?”
He’s met with the rich smells of American breakfast foods and gurgling of the coffee maker. With a blink, he smiles.
It sounds and smells like home.
“I’ll take four, over medium, please.”
“Coming right up!”
“Were you able to sleep at all?” Ari asks, looking pointedly at him as he loads bread into the toaster.
“Ah,” Steve exhales awkwardly, trying to find the right words. “Not quite. But not because I was uncomfortable.”
“Understandable,” Bunny says, looking up from the stove. “New place, it’s an adjustment. But it looks like you were able to get some exercise in.”
“Yeah, I was.”
“The forest path is great for that! There are a few here, you’ll never get bored. Oh, pancakes, by the way?”
“They’re chocolate chip today,” Marcella adds.
“Oh, yes, please. I’ll have two.”
“Oh, hear that, Ari?” Marcella turns to her son, “Looks like you could learn about balanced meals from Steve.”
Steve snorts as Ari’s eyes narrow at his mother.
“Bunny, I’ll have four pancakes, please,” he says pointedly.
“Yes, dear,” she laughs.
“Help yourself to some coffee, if you’d like. Sugar’s next to the machine and milk’s still in the fridge.”
Steve takes up the offer, grabbing one of the mugs lined up on the counter. There are four, and he smiles to himself again.
“Um,” he begins. “Thank you, for bringing out a mug for me.”
Everyone exchanges pleasantly surprised looks at each other before looking back at Steve. Ari pipes up, “How could we not? You’re family.”
They return to their respective tasks: Ari wraps up the bread and places it back in the basket; Bunny flips a pancake onto a serving platter and pours more batter into the pan; and Marcella turns over one of the eggs she’s making for Steve.
With both parents passed on and his team somewhere out in the world doing who-knows-what, Steve entered Barber feeling isolated from everyone.
But here, in this kitchen, with a seat at the table, a plate of pancakes and eggs coming his way, and a mug for coffee, there’s a sense of safety. Not quite in the way that someone is watching his six or looking from a vantage point, but in the simplicity of being thought of and cared for.
- - - - -
“You need fresh air.”
Steve hums in confusion as he turns to Marcella.
“Did my Albie some good when he would have nightmares.”
“How did you–”
“I’ve seen that look before; it’s the same as his when he couldn’t sleep well the previous night.”
A sense of bewilderment falls over Steve as he realizes she’s not even looking at him, rather maintaining her focus on her current knitting project.
“I–”
“There’s a park not too far that we would go to and sit on the bench under the willow tree. It’s nice to be under the shade. I’ll tell them where you went, just be back by dinner or else we’ll launch a search party.”
Knowing an indirect command when he hears one, Steve finds himself getting up and grabbing a jacket before heading out.
“Bring a hat and wear sunscreen!”
- - - - -
Baseball cap tucked tight onto his head, Steve’s knee bounces sitting underneath the swaying fronds of an old willow tree.
He’s not a fool, he can see how this would be serene and calming, but the tension in his muscles don’t seem to release. The fresh air is invigorating and a wonderful contrast to stale atmospheres in hideouts and home bases used solely for shelter.
As he concentrates harder on relaxing, he’s interrupted.
“Hi, Steve.”
Turning to the source of the voice, he finds you standing in a sundress and wide-brim hat, picnic basket tucked into your elbow.
He greets you in return. “Having a picnic?”
“Yeah, couldn’t let the sunshine go to waste. How are you enjoying your day?”
“It’s here and there.”
“I understand,” you nod. “Well, if you don’t have plans, I was going to set up not too far from here. I have plenty of food and snacks; I was just going to relax for the rest of the afternoon. You’re welcome to join me, or not, if you’d rather stay here.”
His response is almost a knee-jerk reaction, agreeing to join you. He’s not quite sure where that comes from but you don’t seem to pay attention to it. Instead, you bid him to follow you to a sunny patch of grass. Setting the basket down, you take out a blanket and begin to unfold it.
As the blanket begins to grow larger, Steve realizes how useless he’s being and grabs the other end, helping you open it up and keep it flat on the grass. It’s not too large, but it’s enough for two people to comfortably sit without invading each other’s space.
He watches as you kneel and bring the basket onto the blanket, beginning to take out a container of bright red strawberries and sliced kiwis. When you look up at him after taking out a covered platter, he feels his body tighten in social anxiety.
“Would you like to sit?” you offer, seeming to repeat your invitation from earlier.
“Oh, yeah,” he stammers, crouching down and trying to get into a comfortable position. He wriggles around for a moment and hears a snort from you as he settles on sitting on his bottom with his legs extended, hands positioned back to support his upper half. “What?”
“Nothing,” you smile, “When was the last time you went on a picnic?”
“I have to think about that one.”
And he does. It’s not an automatic memory retrieval, not like remembering Bucky’s blindside or how to navigate a smoke screen. He ventures deep into the annals of his brain, almost like an archive room with thousands of dusty files and the smell of old paper.
Childhood memories are like faded pictures; he can see the indistinct figures of Bucky as a child, running with other boys whose faces he can’t remember. He thinks he laughed in that moment, but he doesn’t know what they were playing. He can see the picnic tables and detect the faint aroma of coals on a grill. There’s brightly colored candy on the brown and green grass, girls screaming as a boy chases them with a lizard.
“I don’t know how old I was,” Steve shrugs. “Maybe seven or eight. I think it was for a birthday party. But it wasn’t like this, there were picnic tables, like something you’d reserve at a park.”
“Ah,” you nod. “I really like coming here on a sunny day, there’s lots of space for a nice little picnic to have a snack outside, maybe read a book.”
Humming in agreement, Steve doesn’t know what to say. It’s been ages since he had a conversation about anything other than work. Whenever an interaction extends beyond the weather and one’s state of being, he’s lost.
A happy jingle begins to come into earshot and a few kids nearby scream in delight, making you giggle as Steve startles at the sounds. Aggressively pushing down his response to rush to the rescue, he realizes most of the park goers attention has been captured by an ice cream truck. Parents hold their children back from running headlong into the parking lot to be the first in line, waiting as the brightly colored vehicle finds a spot and parks.
Once settled, the large window on the side opens up and a deep voice bellows, “Ice cream!” Kids surge forward, racing to get into line before each other. The man in the truck begins to direct them, making sure everyone is being fair and nice to each other. Once the line is orderly, he begins to take orders.
“Would you like something?”
“Usually I wait until the line shortens,” you reply.
“But then all the good stuff might be gone by then,” he argues.
You huff in a laugh, “Good point. I’ll have a scoop of cookie dough in a cone, please.”
Watching him get up and jog over to the line, you laugh at the comic image of him taking a spot behind a boy who can’t be much older than five. He sticks out among the other patrons, the only adult as the kids ahead of him crane their heads to look at the man in the truck and get on their toes to reach for their cones and cups.
You grab a strawberry and bite into it, unable to stop yourself from thinking how he seems to try so hard at being just a normal person despite looking anything but. He showed up in Barber out of nowhere, which isn’t unusual, but someone of his stature and gait when he moves sticks out.
Barber has always been a quieter place to live, nobody has any particular rush. You’re used to the occasional person or group stopping in on their way to somewhere else, but even they don’t have the same rigidity Steve has. Slow life in a slow town means leisure walks and headaches for city dwellers; you could imagine a New Yorker hating the sidewalks here filled with slow pedestrians.
You don’t know much about him, only recalling he referred to himself as a “veteran.” With no visible malady, you can imagine the more invisible troubles that plague someone like him, who has likely seen things you can’t even begin to imagine.
To go from that to Barber is an adjustment that would possibly take years to complete. As you put together a bite with a cracker, piece of cheese and some honey, you watch as he steps up to the window, laughing at a joke from the ice cream vendor.
You chew as he pays and takes a cup and a cone, nodding in thanks to the man in the truck before heading back to you. As he returns, you finish chewing and dust off your hands before reaching out to take your cone from him.
“Thank you,” you smile. “How much do I owe you?”
“Oh don’t worry about it,” he replies, waving her off. “Thank you for inviting me to join you, you didn’t need to.”
As the afternoon continues, the two of you spend time talking the time away. The sun moves across the sky without either of your attention on it, until it begins to descend behind the treeline.
“I’m so sorry,” you start, feeling bashful, “I didn’t mean to take up your entire afternoon.”
Steve smiles, mostly to himself, “Don’t be sorry, there’s nothing else I had planned for today.” And I can’t remember the last time I felt this way.
He leaves out the latter part of his thoughts, feeling his body physically reacting to the pounding of his memories from before his career as they scream to escape from their prison. His heart aches as it opens up, the muscle forming shapes it hasn’t in a long time. It makes his breath catch in his throat, ignites the tips of his fingertips.
Your hand covers his, a gesture that douses the heat on his skin. He knows it’s meant to be friendly, but his brain screams to turn his hand over and grasp yours. He wonders how your fingers would feel between his, wants to know the warmth of your palm against his own.
“Are you okay?” you check, ducking your head slightly to look into his eyes. There’s some concern in your expression and he does his best to brush off any trail of a wandering mind.
“Yeah,” Steve clears his throat. “Can I walk you home?”
The breeze wisps around, lifting your hair and lapping at your skin. It’s a nice cool down after being in the sun. One by one, the street lamps turn on, bathing the streets in a soft yellow glow.
You steal a shy glance at Steve as he looks around to take in the scene. The contours of his face are shrouded in shadow, bringing out the structure of his face. From the moment he stepped into the shelter, your knees nearly went weak, butterflies tickling in your stomach and fluttering down to your legs. The butterflies come back, wings flapping aggressively as you admire his features.
When his face gives a telltale tic, you look away quickly and he asks if there’s something wrong.
“No,” you answer a little too quickly. The shelter and your front door is only a few steps away, so you change the subject. “This is me.”
“Convenient,” Steve remarks.
“Very,” you laugh. “I had a lot of fun today. It was nice to spend time with you. We should do it again sometime. If you want. You don’t have to, I just thought–”
It happens quickly; Steve cups your jaw, tilting your head upwards to receive a kiss he presses into your lips.
Pressing his forehead against yours, he feels your face rush with heat, his own skin tingling from his cheeks to the tips of his ears.
“What are you doing tomorrow night?”
You give a giddy laugh. “Seeing you.” Your eyes widen and lips purse, as if you spoke out of turn. “At least, I hope that’s what you’re getting at.”
Steve laughs, straight from his belly and his memories continue to pound at the walls of the fortress containing them.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I’m getting at.”
He kisses you one more time, and watches as you unlock the door and give him one more wave before the door shuts behind you.
Staring up at the sky, the stars shine, multitudes more than visible in a big city. He remembers nights in remote areas while on missions, the cold ground beneath his back as he attempted to get sleep.
The image of your hand in his flashes across his memory, warming his body.
Then, the walls crumble, and the memories come forward.
