eugenia was born kicking and screaming in a trailer on the outskirts of town. her parents were like a nuclear reaction—bad for each other in the best possible way. her mother was sickly and her father was something of a free spirit, so by the time she was old enough to be trusted around an open flame she was practically raising herself. she’d come to school reeking of cat piss and cigarettes, teeth yellow and marred with cavities and fractures. the children around her had a tendency to be quite wicked and unrelenting, whenever they had an opportunity to make a mockery out of the young eugenia they would take it in spades. she was spat on, stolen from, sneered at. at first, it didn’t bother her. she spent most of her time the school library reading anything she could find about pets and barn animals, oblivious of what was to come.

she was passionate about mammalian life from an incredibly young age. sometimes it would be all she could think about. her teachers picked up on this and oftentimes she was the one responsible for caring for the class pets on the weekends. as it turns out, her peers at school took notice of this habit as well. as always, they had a plan in place for turning her life into a living nightmare. one friday, as school was letting out for the day, eugenia turned her back on the class guinea pigs for one second before a group of boys ran off with them. she woke up the next morning to the sight of them lifeless on her front doorstep. one weekend was all it took for her to go from being teased and jeered at to being feared, with everyone looking at her like the blood was still on her hands.

animal killer is the type of reputation that sticks throughout one’s adolescence. even the people who would pity her before looked at her with a tinge of disgust. still, she stayed afloat, trying her best to pass her classes and obsessing over boys she knew would never give her the time of day. any semblance of normalcy came to a halt when in her junior year of high school another group of kids followed her home to pick on her. they threw stones, torn ketchup packets, and rotten food at her. to them, it was vigilante justice. to her, it was her final straw. she still remembers how it felt to dig her nails beneath the skin of the ringleader—leaving five twin gashes across the length of his face. it was the only time she ever submitted to violence, the only time she refused to turn the other cheek, but the family still pressed charges.

eugenia was forced to grow up quickly that summer. after months of being paraded through courts and juvenile detention centers, she tried her damnedest to run from the events of her past. she went to school online, found a career that she loved, and managed to support her mother through her illness. she’d later realize that this was something of a calm before the storm. that moment ended when the police department came knocking on her door, asking her about her connections to damien costello. one of the names she’d never be able to forget, a boy that tormented her through school and a witness to her brutal attack on their ringleader. there wasn’t much the police could do, considering their lack of physical evidence—but cloyne is a town that talks. once again, she began to notice sideways glances in her direction, unmarked vehicles outside of her trailer park, and policemen talking to the only people who give her the time of day. she hopes that somehow she’ll be able to prove her innocence, that she could escape this with some shred of dignity left, but with her track record? she might not be so lucky.

i'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to guns, and thought randomly at some point that it'd be fun to start this gimmick blog and try to identify guns in various posts. however I do still kind of consider myself to be in the dunning-kruger valley, and gun identification is a bit more complex than car identification due to just how many variants of individual gun patterns there are, and how much easier it is to do modifications of them...

(ask / submission rules and other guidelines are further down in this post)

I'll try to at least identify the general pattern of the gun or any recognizable parts and cross reference with images and articles to make a decision. If your post or submission is from a particular piece of media, it's extremely likely for it to already be documented on the Internet Movie Firearms Database wiki website, so some answers will probably be pulled straight from there.

For example, the wiki clearly outlines that, in the above blog header, which is from the anime/manga Lycoris Recoil (IMFDB link here), Chisato (left) canonically uses a Detonics CombatMaster (variant of Colt 1911 pattern, chambered in .45 ACP), specifically one that incorporates elements of the Tokyo Marui Strike Warrior Airsoft replica (notable in the strike face compensator and modified rear sight). Takina (right) meanwhile uses a somewhat generic Smith and Wesson M&P9 PRO, chambered in 9x19mm, with the extended 5" barrel.

To make up for how garbage I am at getting specifics right, I may also offer some bits of trivia about the gun(s) in question and/or their implementation. For example, although Chisato's gun seems based off of the Tokyo Marui design, it notably has three port holes at the top of the compensator as compared to the single port in the original; it might be a bit more effective as a real compensator than the very-Airsoft cosmetic fixing of the TM replica. It also lacks the accessory rail in the anime. Additionally, Takina's signature sidearm, the M&P9, is extremely common in modern law enforcement (you might even recognize the handle of it in the "(A) Steal Officer's Service Weapon" meme), so it's a bit of a "cop gun" in a sense; which possibly matches how Takina essentially serves as the by-the-numbers half of the pseudo-buddycop pairing formed by her and Chisato. Interestingly enough, all other Lycoris agents are seen wielding Glock 17s instead...

If your submission or tag is for a "cursed gun" then some special rules apply. If it's a real life picture of some effed up monstrosity, I will do my best to identify it with a real, pre-built gun; otherwise, I'll try to identify parts that may have been used for it. If it's clearly an edited picture or some other form of drawing, concept, or very clearly fictional gun, this will be treated as a "Fictional Gun Review" instead.

Generally speaking I'm looking at "small arms" guns; I'm not super well-versed on artillery pieces and aircraft weapons and the like. I know a handful of rocket launchers and might be able to pick out a couple but those are also pretty hard for me.

I can take a look at strictly fictional weapon designs and give some cursory criticism on whether or not the gun would actually function in the configuration it's in (checking things like barrel/bolt/magazine alignment, etc.), what parts of it I recognize from real guns, and an overall subjective rating.

like there's this one couple who are EVERYWHERE together and the guy even skips classes/leave class early to be with his gf for longer which is confusing to me because why is it such a need to be with her 24/7 that you just ditch everything else? like ok its nice to be with your partner but why are you arriving at class 30 minutes into the lesson?

and last year i overheard the girl asking her friends what to get her bf for his birthday and she was like "i don't know, should i just break up with him before his birthday?" and she was stressing so much and i couldn't understand why. like if you like each other that much then i don't think he'd expect anything really big from you? i'd just want my partner to remember my birthday at most.

I’m the mom friend of the group, always there for everyone and my friends say that I’m really good at comforting people. I’m also calm and responsible, I usually am the one that takes care of other people. I’m very optimistic, I always try to see the good in everything and I often put other’s needs before my own. I love making others laugh to lighten the situation I’m not afraid to stand up for myself but sometimes it’s hard for me to say no to things. I also dislike when someone is too serious and really can’t take a joke as I tend to use humor as my coping mechanism. ☸ Gale would be a great fit for you! I see Gale as someone who’s demisexual/graysexual and biromantic. This makes him much more likely to understand your sexuality and to be very accepting of it. I also categorize him as an ENTP, which makes him very compatible with your ESFJ. You’re both extroverted and fairly people-oriented. There are notable differences, however… Where you tend to be more organized and sort of traditional in your thinking/processing, he is more creative/unconventional. As much as she was sensible of Charlotte’s role in putting an end to Mr Collins’ unwelcome suit, Elizabeth could scarcely feel anything beyond disappointment at what she perceived as a betrayal of the implicit understanding she had always supposed to exist between herself and her dear friend. It was nothing distasteful, of course – their friendship had scarcely ever strayed beyond the boundaries of propriety, with the sporadic exception of a few stolen kisses and the occasional furtive caress. On her part, Charlotte had always made it abundantly clear that she did not care for men in the slightest, yet had frequently seen fit to remind her friend that their respective situation in life made matrimony their only option to secure a comfortable life for themselves.

Privately, Elizabeth had been entertaining high hopes of her most beloved sister getting married advantageously one day, thus saving her the trouble of procuring a husband for herself; and while she would never wish her dear Jane unhappy, she could not help but resent Mr Bingley for dashing her own secret hopes as well as those of her sister. While not completely indifferent to a gentleman’s charms herself, she would have much preferred for her and Charlotte to be allowed to continue as they had before.

For a moment, her thoughts strayed to Mr Wickham; as much as she would have liked to fancy herself in love, she couldn’t see any particular risk there, even without taking the gentleman’s impoverished circumstances into account. wren whitewater has always been a little strange and unusual, but for her, it works

the youngest of two and born to a wiccan mother and a clean-cut father, things in the whitewater household were always a bit chaotic to say the least

she grew up all too interested in what her mother was doing, always underfoot as she danced around the kitchen concocting herbal remedies and reading from old books that were passed down through multiple generations

their house was always easy to spot, painted a dark burgundy color with plants hanging in every window and a collection of cats on their front porch

needless to say the whitewaters had a reputation around town, and while that may have bothered some, it never bothered them

she took to learning her mother’s craft quickly, always standing on a step stool at the kitchen counter as she stirred a large pot full of whatever remedy was on the docket for the day

she got into the paranormal and all things spooky at a young age, often sneaking into her older brother’s room so she could watch whatever horror movie he had put on

her parents obviously didn’t approve of this, but they figured if it wasn’t hurting anyone, there was nothing to correct

wren was still little when she asked for her first book on the paranormal, and while her dad was hesitant, her mother went out and bought one immediately

soon enough wren was all-encompassed by the subject, spending more time watching the addams family and beetlejuice and reading her books than anything

the kids at school found her to be weird, often scattering once she joined them at the lunch table or sat next to them in class

wren did her best not to let this bother her, focusing on her studies and her hobbies and interests as some sort of coping mechanism

as she got older, wren found a love for both photography and art

she bought her first sketchbook when she was ten, and just a few short months later, she bought her first film camera

life behind the lens felt much easier to deal with than the kids who incessantly picked on her

her favorite subject to photograph was the woods, and she’d often head out on her free period to get a few snapshots for her own personal collection

she went through film and sketchbooks at a rapid pace, but after some encouragement from her family, she began submitting her art and photographs to galleries in the area, and she was able to be featured in a few of them

it was at one of these galleries that wren met the love of her life

she was seventeen and he was a couple years older, and she fell in love almost instantly

suddenly all her free time was spent with him, usually in his car driving to a new gallery somewhere

her entire senior year was spent trailing after him, and for once in her life wren finally felt like she was wanted

unfortunately that all came crashing down within a few years

they’d been together for the first three years she was in college, but while wren was making plans to move in with him and get out of roswell, he was spending time with other girls in dive bars

she was devastated when she found out, and despite wanting to stay with him, she broke things off

the failed relationship made wren cave in on herself even more, but it wasn’t something that she wanted to show outwardly

as the years passed, wren made it a point to try and make friends when she could, but she still struggled most of the time

these days, wren seems to be doing better for herself

she still carries a sweet disposition that’s hidden behind thick layers of trust issues, but she’s more open to socializing

she’s lucky to have made a friend in the form of evanie-may jennings, and even luckier that she agreed to be her roommate

wren still lives behind her camera, but she’s no longer afraid to share her work with other people, especially when it comes to her drawings

she still loves horror movies, always playing one in the background no matter what she’s doing, though she’s learned to keep the volume down at night so evanie-may doesn’t kick her out

has a really bad case of insomnia, which often leads to her having dark circles under her eyes — and yes, she’s aware that people call her a vampire because of it

she’s still very much into wiccan customs, and while she doesn’t follow the religion as closely as her mother does, she still follows the traditions and activities — though if you see her running naked through the woods, mind your business

overall wren is just a sweet girl with a weird reputation, and that’s something she’s learning to come to peace with

Heyo, I've been questioning my romantic orientation for a while and I could use some help. For the past two years or so, I've identified as a bisexual biromantic who just doesn't desire a relationship. I'm not really sure if that fits anymore, and now that I've spent some time in arospec communities, I think I may be grayromantic. I occasionally experience romantic attraction to people, but it is usually short lived and I don't have any desire to act on it. (cont. in next ask)

To continue where I left off, I have also had a few people say they are attracted to me. This resulted in feelings that I believe are associated with crushes. That being said, it was mostly just nervousness and flattery. I’m not entirely sure what that means. Additionally, I enjoy romantic media (mostly limited to shipping fanfiction), but I dislike it when things get too “fluffy.” I tend to favor sexual works with romantic undertones and I tend to be a bit repulsed by cheesy romantic scenes or stories. >  > I’ve had 4 people I’ve considered as having a crush on in the past 4 years. Looking back on it, with the first I’m pretty sure I just wanted to be his friend and didn’t know how to approach that. The second was a girl who I was best friends with and I believe genuinely attracted to, but about half of that was admiration, and I didn’t want to pursue a relationship with her (although that would’ve been impossible anyways considering she was straight). The third and fourth were both people who I had no prior attraction to but expressed interest in me. After they did I developed some feelings for them but I’m not sure if this was actual attraction or just flattery mixed with not wanting to hurt their feelings. In both cases I made it clear that I didn’t want an actual relationship with them. The attraction (or whatever it was) was short-lived as well. >  > Also, whenever my friends get into relationships, I get very insecure that they will value their partner more than me and “leave me” for them. I am extremely insecure about this to the extent that whenever I see media or posts or anything similar with messages that romantic love is more important than platonic love, I get very upset about it. Yeah, you sound like you’re arospec. A lot of the evidence you’re noticing is common and valid!

I figured out I was ace years ago, it’s one thing I was sure about my identity, but romantic love has been a struggle for me in the past years. I thought I was panromantic, than biromantic, but then my partner at the time broke up with me. He’d said that it wasn’t anything wrong with me, but our relationship didn’t feel like a relationship.

I didn’t get it, we kissed, hung out, talked a bunch, we did all the stuff that couples were supposed to do. But after a year of being broken up, I realized that it wasn’t really a relationship, we were just friends like we’d always been, but we just kissed and held hands more often.

Fast forward to college, a guy shows interest in me, and so I told my friend that I liked him. She asked me if I liked him because he’d shown interest in me and because I want a relationship (I’ve done this before), or if I genuinely liked him like that (I didn’t.).

I had no idea where that stood on a romantic scale, and was genuinely considering that I hadn’t met the right person yet. I would find my storybook-type happy love and I would be fine.

And then today happened. I was sitting in my English class, and a guy who usually sits a few seats down from me, decides to take the seat right next to mine (we have pseudo-assigned seats). He than asks me about the reading we had to do, what my major is, what I wrote for the reading, tells me about a meeting he had with a professor, just a bunch of just really odd-feeling questions the entirety of class.

It took me until after class got out to realize fully that he may have been flirting with me. And I just didn’t realize it at all, and I didn’t enjoy it. But yeah, that’s my realization to flushing out that I very well may be aroace, and while the cute stuff pre-developed couples do is something I like in theory because it’s sweet and adorable, I don’t think I want a relationship like that.
