How did you end up like this? No one knows, but they don't even know you're like this. Ecxept Miko, Raf and Jack, since you know that they're friends with huge fraggin robots. When you met the bots it wasn't the best situation, because you were enraged about the events that happened at home that day. Almost engulfed in flames you calm down when you spot Miko talk to a bit bulky bot behind an abandonded building. You saw the bots which resulted in you being brought to the base. You were amazed that you could forget the sorrow you have for being different. You grew close with the team really quick, even Ratchet took a liking to you. The moment the team sees your ability for the first time was when they were cornered by cons in a energon mine. Since there was no backup at the moment you ran out and light yourself up. At first the autobots thought you were an alien or something, but when they realize it's you they didn't believe it at first. The vehicons weren't so lucky since you almost melted some of their limbs. Once the fight was done they just stared at you. "Uhh..guys? Does anyone have some spare clothes?"

Optimus Prime

He would be confused. Like literally confused which is rare, but still you managed to achieve it.

You're human and fire should hurt you. How do you light yourself on fire?!

The moment you tell them that you're a mutant and your not the only one they start to do some research on these so called "mutants"

He would ask you what you can do and what your abilities are.

Doesn't like the idea of having you on the battlefield even if it means that the autobots have the upperhand

You're now his child. No objections.

The team needs help? You're there to melt them down and that earns you a big lecture from Optimus about how they can't risk human lives.

If he's wounded you would melt the metal gently and repair it.

Since he's made of metal some of his plating might be cold. So he absolutely loves how you work like an furnace.

Almost freaked out by your abilities.

The moment he gets to know about your so called mutation he turns into a fragging scientist. Blood samples, dna samples and etc.

Anytime there's any need for repairs he just picks you up and points where repair is needed.

The team were in trouble. Why? There was a surprise attack by Megatron himself. You flew through the groundbridge so you could help the team. You were almost too late as Megatron had his servo/sword up and about to strike Optimus. Hurrying you catch on to his servo and start to heat up, melting his servo in the process. "GAHH! WHAT ARE YOU!?" Megatrons sword and blaster were both out of the game since you melted most of his servo. Having the upperhand, the cons give up and leave. There was one con left. Megatron. "This isn't over, Optimus. Not with you and your firey PET!" Oh oh, he was pissed!

That little mutant dare to melt his servo!

He didn't even know you're a human with a mutation until soundwave found footage and info about you.

Would try to get revenge on you, but doesn't want to risk losing his servo again.

For once the warlord was worried about his opponent.

He didn't show it, but the thought actually made him shudder.

The moment Megatron asked to find information about you, a switch flipped in his processor.

Finally he found a human interesting. A extraordinary human to be specific

If he had time he would try to see you on cameras so he could catch you for Megatron

He wasn't scared or anything, but would be slightly worried could you melt his screen off?

He did almost catch you, but you lit up inside him so he had to drop you out before he would fall down from the sky.

Knew that you're stronger than anybot thinks. Wouldn't mess with you unless he has something to overpower you for example: some relics

If he ever I MEAN EVER sees you in action he would definitely run away and protect his paintjob.

Fire + his beautiful plating/paint job did NOT go together.

If you would try to attack him, you won't see him after a while. He's AFRAID of you.

Would always seem busy when he heard lord Megatron talk about a mission where you could be involved.

Sylvia is a Fantastic character

Oh Sylvia!

Ever since i wrote about Wander and why hes such an important character, i wanted to write about Sylvia. But life got in the way a little..

Sylvia is such an amazing character.

Craig could have easily made her male, or made her a "typical female character" who presents in hyperfeminine ways and whatever (nothing wrong with femininity as long as it isnt forced or compulsory). But she's not, shes her own character, she's masculine, she's a bounty hunter, she's strong, she's powerful, she keeps her silly friend in check, she's serious, logical, diligent. Competitive. She's sassy, she doesn't let others boss her around. Its SO refreshing. Its SO refreshing to just HAVE a female character that FEELS like a character rather than simply "the Female".

Funny how a kids show about space can do a better job at that than even Marvel movies, huh?Its almost sad that when talking about her, the fact that she's female and that shes written like a proper character is actually refreshing. It should be the case for ALL shows, no exceptions.

Maybe she can serve as an example for new writers and show runners what to do RIGHT.

but enough about her gender!

I ADORE her dynamics between herself and other characters. I love the parallels between Her and Commander peepers in chasing around their emotional and impulsive friend/boss trying to keep them from doing silly things, yet also being complete opposites due to Her being the Bigger one in her dynamic with Wander, whereas peepers is the smaller one to Lord hater. I think its really cool!

I think episodes like "the Timebomb" or "the Family Reunion" are fantastic at deepening our understanding of Sylvia too.

She was brought up in a very rough and tough environment, feeling like she was never enough and had to compete with her older brothers at all times, fighting with feelings of not being good enough for her mother and how these feelings have caused her to be hyper competitive in instances of competition, where her feelings of little self worth are brough up if she's not "good enough", getting blinded by rage and loosing sense of what she should prioritise (which for a character that is typically so focused on logic and effectiveness is really striking. (I also ABSOLUTELY love the episode the Timebomb cause it shows how well Sylvia and Wander's friendship works?? Like the way he's able to calm her down and make sure she doesn't go crazy, similarly to how she's there for him from going crazy in episodes like "the Box") its just so sweet amd i love it smI love Sylvia so much.

When ppl say we want strong female characters WE MEAN SYLVIA!!! A WELL ROUNDED, AWESOME WELL WRITTEN CHARACTER THAT IS AN INSPIRATION!! THAT HAS FLAWS AND FEELINGS AND FEELS LIKE A REAL CHARACTER!!!! AHHH!!!! i love her :,3

ITS SO FUNNY OKAY. Annika (the main character, played by barbie) is such a little shit she attempts to KILL Wenlock (the villain). Plus she has soooo much sass and attitude and she’s one of my favorite iterations of Barbie to date. Then there’s her love interest Aidan who is ALSO so funny and sassy and together they’re one of my fav het couples ever. Then there’s Brietta, possibly my first gay crush ever (AFTER she stops being a horse btw, I LIKE HER HUMAN FORM) and ohhh boy. Annika and Brietta are sisters and they are so everything to me. It’s just so refreshing to see two sisters at the forefront of a movie, without either of them being sidelined for a reason or other, showing that sibling relationships can be as important as any other. Rango:

The animation and art are beautiful. Everything is asymmetrical and not made to be stereotypically beautiful. The visuals itself is already amazing. Plus, it's a cowboy movie of animals! It's a story about finding your true self. PLUS! PLUS! The movie's animation makes it so that you can really really feel the dryness of the desert. It makes you feel thirsty yourself, as that was the main plot point. Also, THE MOLE CHASE SCENE WHERE ONE OF THE CREATURES WAS HANGING ON THE SIDE OF THE CART AND RELOADING AND SHOOTING A SHOTGUN WAS SO COOL WHAT THE HELL, THE ENTIRETY OF THE MOLE CHASE SCENE IS ALSO REALLY COOL.

The entire movie is gorgeous!! The visuals are spectacular, from light effects to fight choreography, the characters all have interesting design!! The music is amazing too (Hans Zimmer!!!) And blends with the scenes so well. Every frame is a masterpiece and has a beautiful composition, use of colour and storytelling (visually or otherwise) I love this movie very much adkasjsgaj

The Darkside timeline: DS!Pomni - a more jaded and done-with-this-shit Pomni from a world where basically, everyone fucking died (abstracted). Her colour scheme is black, dark purple, and silver/grey. She usually appears glitched in our headspace, the abnormalities growing worse when she's distressed.

The Chain timeline: Chain!Jax - a more quiet Jax who keeps to himself and quite frankly doesn't give a damn. Dresses differently (sassy leather and jewelry type shit) and smokes for some odd reason, I don't even know where he's getting cigs from. The name of this timeline doesn't have much actual significance, it just needed to be named something.

The Ura timeline: Ura!Gangle - her default is comedy and she refuses to return to tragedy, literally destroying the mask and not looking back. While she may feel happier, the lack of balance has essentially made it turn into full-on mania and she'll carry on how she wants with no regard or notice of how it affects others. Also she has no sense of personal space. Her memories show that her world's Jax had grown low-key scared of her, she may have even bullied him back. Ribbons are blue instead of red.

Redeemed Claw Noir and Shady bug are NOT Ladybug and Cat Noir

What I'm trying to say is that nobody changes overnight. Claw Noir/Shadybug redemption arc happened in ONE NIGHT!! So I like to imagine that at least 3 more seasons of reverse-Hesperia-Miraculous show will be guaranteed to air after the special. Of course we won't watch it in our current universe. Bummer.

YES they will still be themselves. Struggling with their pain, with their emotional baggage, their FREAKING awesome overpowering strength (wow, these two really KNOW how to fight), their smirks and their silliness and their sassiness. Hesperia has the job cut out for him trying to reform these anti-heroes and bring them to the good side. It's going to be INTERESTING to say the least.

I admit that I spent last night rewatching the special again! and I'm happy the animators kept their quirks. Yes, RIP awesome Shadyclaw outfit *sob* It will take some time for me to come in terms with that.

To go more into it, I love TCW!Ahsoka. I'm slightly more ambivalent towards her Rebels self (mainly because it can be a bit hard to connect the two since they have pretty different designs and stories), but this girl right here? She's the absolute best.

She was always spunky, sassy, smart and extremely compassionate, and she had a plethora of great character flaws to go with all her amazing qualities. She was reckless, stubborn, naive and impulsive - all perfectly normal attributes given her age - and it took nothing away from how likable she was.

Her presence in TCW was a great way to supplement Obi-Wan and Anakin's relationship, and I always loved what we saw of the Order through her connection with so the Masters, Knights and younglings (wish we'd gotten more of that tbh). She matured very believably over five seasons, and every time she got to do something a little more badass it felt like a big victory. She's also great for kids to connect with. (My younger bros and cousin absolutely love her, and they're watching the show in French, where she has the most incredibly annoying voice. If they can love her even then, she's really dang loveable.)

Now, it's gotten just a tad tiring how big of a deal she is now. Imo, blowing her importance out of proportion and trying to slip her into every major project has considerably undermined the strength of her character because she's all over the place and her story is in pieces - plus live action is a completely different tone from animation and she just doesn't feel the same at all. But while I may not like the direction newer content has been taking, it never in any way lessened my love for her in TCW. Even in season 7 (which handled her extremely badly imo) I feel for her and my heart just broke watching the finale.

So yeah. I do like her. She is neat.

He's a really twisted villain and seems to really believe his motivations are completely justified - and you can't deny he's completely ruthless in battle. Really exemplifies the concept of the head of the Foot - and honestly, I think he's a great villain.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer:

Probably April. I liked her a lot when I was younger (the concept of girl power and she's got a potential romance with my favorite turtle? Sign me up!), but once I got older...she really grated on my nerves. Don't get me wrong, I like her in season 1; she's an inexperienced teenager who's dealing with the pain of having her dad be kidnapped and is meeting some new friends along the way. Season 2 onwards? I wanted to strangle her. Not just because of the love triangle (although that is a part of it,) but also because she lost a lot of that awkwardness that made her likable in season 1, and just became a cliche girlboss. But she wasn't even likable there; she just felt like the token female character needed to add "diversity" to the group.

And I understand April feeling uncomfortable and not wanting to ruin their friendship about his feelings for her, but that's what communication is. It was so forced and awkward and...ugh.

And for the obvious - Leorai, Leo and Karai. Okay, who thought it was a good idea to imply that two siblings could have a romance - and have it be canon that one sibling had a crush on the other? Don't get me wrong, I love Karai; she's bar none my favorite female character in the show. And like I said, I love Leo - but the crush he had on Karai is what brings his character down for me. If they wrote him as impressed by her skills and seeing the good in her from a platonic point of view, it would've been sweet - and added another layer to Leo's character. But no, they went with the pseudo-incest perspective and made us all creeped out.

Thank you for your question! I enjoyed sitting down and writing this out. My initial response was “They are Awesome! I adore them and drawing them brings me joy!” But I decided to go more in depth!

Please note these are just my personal opinions, as of May 2023. I judged everyone on three categories: Character, Design, and Drawability.

Nicholas Saint North

My Opinion on his Character: 10/10.

How could anyone not love this guy. He has infectious energy and is one of my all time favorite versions of Santa. I both enjoy his character in the books and the film. I love how he is a strong leader with a big heart who isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He is so cool and I love his competitive nature.

My Opinion on his Design: 10/10

North’s design is so full of geometric genius. I love how square he is. I also love all the Russian elements like the coat and hat. This is one cool Santa. I adore the tattoos and the swords he wields. I also like his younger self, very pirate adventure vibes.

My Opinion on his Drawability: 8/10

As much as I love this guy he is sometimes a bit hard to draw. He has a lot of tattoos and a large coats and a beard that covers a lot. I need to practice drawing him more. It is a bit fun to draw him in more exaggerated styles, but I definitely need more practice.

E. Aster Bunnymund

My Opinion on his Character: 7/10

Bunny probably scores the lowest on my favorite character scale. I adore movie bunny but book bunny kind of ruins the experience… he is so snooty and his rants get a little tiresome to read. I also don’t personally vibe with the whole alien backstory. I would of preferred him to be an actual bunny. More fantasy less sci-fi. I do love the drama he brings to the group. He is always first to speak up and question things as opposed to just going with whatever plan was proposed.

My Opinion on his Design: 9/10

Both book and movie designs have something different and unique to offer. I adore them both. I love the book bunny little glasses and long robes and staffs. I love movie bunny more tribal warrior rabbit look. Both designs do well capturing a unique look for the Easter Bunny.

My Opinion on his Drawability: 4/10

Bunny may have a great design for me he is extremely hard to draw. I don’t know how to draw animals too good (yet haha). Especially if it’s not stylized for a goofy doodle. He has a lot of elements I need to still learn. Like fur and animal proportions. Sorry bunny maybe in the future I will be better.

Toothiana

My Opinion on her Character: 10/10

I love this fairy so much. She is so adorable and responsible and is a true guardian. Her book backstory is one of the saddest things I’ve read in children’s media and although she put up walls becoming a sort of workaholic she still finds joy and excitement.

My Opinion on her Design: 10/10

She is what I want to think of when people mention a fairy. Not a shrunken down human with wings but something that would exist in nature. Something you wouldn’t bat an eye if you saw. I love the hummingbird design. I love her feathers and her face/eye shape. I just adore her.

My Opinion on her Drawability: 9/10

I do adore her design so much and I love drawing it too. It’s so relaxing drawing all the feathers. I do have a bit of trouble with the wings but I love drawing tooth. She has such a fun color pallet.

Sandman

My Opinion on his Character: 10/10

Sandman is so cool. I love how sassy and laid back he is. I love how he is a friend of the world but is chaotic enough to threaten to knock out a child with his bare fists. He is one of the few characters I don’t mind having a fake out death scene. He steals the show. Also his mermaid sand island should of made it into the film. We got to see everyone else’s homes.

My Opinion on his Design: 9/10

Oh I adore his design. It reminds me of the rankin-bass stop motion designs. He is so adorable and shaped like a star you can hug. I love how he appears to actually be made of dream-sand.

My Opinion on his Drawability: 9/10

Sandy is so fun to draw. I think his design works great in both 2D and 3D. I love giving him goofy expressions.

Jack Frost

My Opinion on his Character 10/10

Jack is an amazing and complex character. He is mischievous and childish he is yet wears his heart on his sleeve. He has this haunted sadness that lingers through him and yet always tries to get others to have fun. I love how much he cares for people despite putting off the cool loner persona. He will do anything to protect the kids, despite being a kid himself!

My Opinion on his Design 7/10

Jacks design is cool but I feel like it needs something. I understand his current look is supposed to be relatable teen but I feel like it’s missing something to help him blend further into the world. I love his outfit as a human. And nightlights armor is neat but I feel like Jack needs just something more then just a hoodie? Just a personal taste thing… I do see what they were going for.

My Opinion on his Drawability 10/10

Jack is so easy and fun to draw. I like drawing him in new outfits and styles. He is also fun drawing as his nightlight book self. Overall a really fun character to doodle and stylize. Especially since there is this constant movement to him.

Pitch Black

My Opinion on his Character 10/10

An amazing villain with a tragic past. I love how cunning he is yet is pretty blind by his own greed. I love how much joy he gets from spreading fear. I love the arrogance to his character and how he gets playful when trying to manipulate and or fight someone. A great villain who enjoys being evil. There is that element of longing for a family to him that is probably left behind from his days as Kozmotis which adds a good amount of drama to play with.

My Opinion on his design 9/10

While the guardians are complex and maximalist in there design pitch is sleek and minimalistic. His pirate aesthetic from the books are cool and his movie design has him move seamlessly in the shadows. I adore his face shape and demeanor. Overall a great simple design that brings contrast to a colorful cast.

My Opinion on his Drawability 10/10

Although simple Pitch is pretty fun to give added design elements too. Especially gold based accents. He is fun to draw in different outfits as well since he doesn’t have a lot to his design. It’s always fun to color him when I’m done drawing the others who have larger color palettes.

kim y/n, the polaroid-obsessed, sassy, smart future nurse practitioner friend that has been there for jungkook through thick and thin. you’re spider-man’s jungkook’s personal doctor that tends to his wounds at midnight after he’s convinced you that the reason behind his cuts, scrapes, or bruises were due to a fight with a stray cat, falling down the stairwell, or (his favorite) he has no idea.

“isn’t this your third time failing your english exam? you need to quit being scared and ask mj to tutor you” you say as you pop a strip of mint flavored gum in your mouth before passing a strip to jungkook as well.

“maybe you should quit that secret job you keep talking about and just work on campus”

oh yes, the ‘secret job.’ yet another lie jungkook has used to cover up his secret identity. the truth is, jungkook hates lying to you. he wants nothing more than to tell you the truth but he knows that with great power comes great responsibility. he’ll never forgive himself if you got hurt, so he has to keep his identity a secret.

“Or maybe you should tutor me because you’re great.” He winks at you, matching your pace.

You make Jungkook feel so at ease. You have returned back to your normal self after a little hiccup he had with you.

It’s true that this is his third time failing at English but hey it’s a hard subject. “Nah… MJ… is gorgeous but she’s dumb.” Harsh but true. She’s not the brightest when it comes to studying.

But her extra curricular activities make up for her record.

Jungkook tenses when he hears you mention his so called extra job. “Uh… sorry yn can’t quit.” He shakes his head as you both make your way out of the campus. “Gotta make some extra cash so I can keep paying for my football academy.”

He’s passionate about football. But today he’s too exhausted and skipping practice sounds awesome but some dreams require alot of sacrifice and hard work in order to come to fruition. “Come watch me play sometime.”

As you’re walking, Jungkook grabs your hand as you both exit the door, he chews on the mint flavor gum and waits for your response.

“Oh yn… you have rejected me once.” He sighs, the memory hits him. It was hard getting over your rejection because you didn’t want to lose your friendship with him, but unfortunately, he did catch some feelings for you and it was a heartbreaking time

Even though the first few months, he was really angry because you have known each other for a really long time since College days and now you’re near your graduation, but it looks like you never really saw him more than a friend.

He was wrong to catch feelings for you and you made him realize that your friendship was way too precious for him to loose so he tried his best to get over you.

And then MJ came along.

“It’s just a game and I swear I’m over you.”

You’re his comfort place and he never wants to lose you. No matter what the cost.

“O-Oh and eunwoo just texted me to remind me to join the team for practice- come on pretty girl the game is soon so just agree.”

Jungkook stops in his tracks, making you stop as well.

“You know, you’re my biggest cheerleader, right?”

Penn Zerothon Day 4

I'm Super!🦸🏼‍♂️

My Ramblings: I love that Phyllis quietly downplayed the fact that she's zapping them to the Superhero World, she knows Penn will go berserk! His excitement is adorable and I adore the voice acting. I wish I could get that excited for things. Also we see that Phyllis does in fact live and sleep at the Odyssey. Interesting to see her outside, that would've been neat to see her out and about in town more often.

Very Boone to be using the woman's bathroom. Boone really doesn't ever mind wearing a dress or a skirt and if he's a lady, he's rolling with it! Love him for that.

If I had my dream since I was 6 come true, I'd bawl my eyes out!

Funny that only Sashi has an actual Superhero name. At least with Boone we get an idea,  but Penn? Left out to dry.

Wonder if the Super Dog is what got Sam Levine on Super-Pets? I know that's not how it works but it would be funny.

Captain Super Captain is a treasure, RIP Adam West. His force fields look awesome.

Always with the dramatic entrances, eh Rippen? This tells me that your hide out may be underground. Also was the car smashing really necessary? You didn't even throw them!

I love all the Superheroes just yelling their names out like overpowered Pokémon.

What an interesting sound when Larry first springs out of Rippen's suit... also I like expression when Rippen uses his new found super speed. Ya scrambled his brain cells, Rippen! Do you think he was ever embarrassed about having Sashi's powers? Probably thinking I have to take them not because I want but that she can't have them.

Larry almost killed an old man.

I will never be tired of the mystery behind Penn's superhero logo. The theories are endless! We got:

An 8

A dollar sign

Two awesome snakes just hugging

An 8, again

A stack of two donuts

A snowman

And my favorite, two awesome cookies hugging

Like where did you get "two awesome cookies hugging." Rippen? He almost sounds a little innocent here. Also how he said "snowman vibe" is so unbelievably sassy. Rippen really said "HEY" at Penn so annoyingly, I love it.

Penn's great wink is going to someone who desperately needs it.

My god, the remodeling kitchen story and the fact that Rippen's reading his mind? All the same info swirling in his brain? Amazing already. Probably a headache coming on and then BAM! RANDOM ITEM STRAIGHT TO THE DOME! His expressions, he's so confused. Comedy gold.

Also I need you all to do yourself another favor, when Captain Super Captain messes with Rippen's robo-leg wires and says: Captain Regular Captain! Look at his legs. Damn...

I love the idea of Rippen and Larry just getting arrested. We get to see Rippen's nice and simple suit, very stylish.

Just this out of context:

Rippen: To be honest, Larry, it feels better not to have you in my belly.

Larry: Really? I was starting to feel at in there. It was kind of cozy.

And we end off with Penn accidentally destroying the city. The day is saved indeed, mission accomplished.

~The Characters~

Penn Zero: Must have sucked that he wasn't super for most of it because you know, it was his dream since he was 6. But happy he learned that powers aren't everything, it's the inner self within that matters. I'm sure he will still never not freak out when they're zapped here.

Boone Wiseman: Doesn't do a whole lot but I do wonder what he's read in others minds that he didn't bring up. Would've like to see that as a gag. Unused potential.

Sashi Kobayashi: Poor Sash. I don't think her power is that bad, don't underestimate the power of smell! It can be so horrible for so many people sensitive to strong odors.

Rippen: This has been on my mind for years! The fact is he is not a supervillain in this world, no powers! My headcanon is that the villain is bitter about that an wants to steal everyone else's powers. Anyways, so close to winning but the power of teamwork saved the day, as always. I just need to know how this guy and the mutant parasite met!

Larry: Super helpful in this world, he can use his special power and not hurt anyone... hugs! I really like that he played a huge part in the plan and actively participated. He even pushed an old man! Evil points!

Dimension(s): Cool world but raises plenty of questions, mainly: what is the entire world like? Is everyone super? If everyone is super, are they really super? What's it like for people not born or accidentally turned super? Can you accidentally become super? I wanna know! Even the politics!

Forms: I like Sashi's because I like skunks, they're cute! Helps that the purple and green combo slaps. Boone's is alright, he looks good. Penn's... not a huge fan on the yellow to be honest with you. But still looks good, especially those two awesome cookies, hugging.

But Rippen's design is awesome! He's just a guy in a giant mech suit but so what? I like it. Larry's is also really cool! He's just a little purple man worm and apparently worms are my jam now so yay!

The Fast and the Floor Rugs🧞‍♂️

My Ramblings: So, they've fought vampires before and of course Sashi kills them in the most slow and painful way imaginable... did she do this to Rippen, who we see a photo of as a vampire. Probably not, I think it's possible Larry did, as we see in the picture in that particular episode, I'll bring it up again.

Is Phyllis reading a romance novel? It's a nice deep red and says something with love on it. I can't properly see it. But good for her.

Penn and Boone didn't even make a peep when they saw Sashi, they both just smiled, but not in a joking way, more of a you look cute today kind of way. I like their smiles. But also I understand her threat, so far in these episodes, I notice a lot of the time we see Sashi last and the boys say something that can come off as them making fun of her. They're never malicious, I just understand her wrath.

There's that monkey obsession of Boone's flaring up.

Bikers! A good twist on the obviously Aladdin inspired world. Interesting to see a lot of evil or mean bikers in media when in real life, a lot of them are nice, some the nicest and most helpful people. Like Bikers Against Child Abuse. Anyways, Rippen's face when Larry vacuums his rug.

Is it a can of worms to bring up the hero being white in a predominantly non-white place? There's something about that, right? I mean, going back to Aladdin... it's certainly a subject.

I like the conflict at hand between Penn and Boone, I mean, Penn isn't entirely wrong but I still feel for Boone, he's trying his best. Probably hurts more considering this is his family's thing to be wise and helpful to the heroes and him failing at that... ouch. I understand both of them, I've been on both sides.

Trouble in bromance land? Yes, Rippen, actually! His little giggle before saying that. Also his expression and sigh when he realizes that Boone is stuck in the lamp. I like him face and voice, ok? And him scoffing at John DiMaggio biker like a peeved off teenage girl? Great.

It's so funny to see Rippen obey to being pulled over by a cop. Like he's evil but he for some reason respects the law... for a minute. He did that earlier with the carpet train, he just sat and waited impatiently while Penn just flew over it. Trying to be a kiss-ass to the cop while fruitlessly trying to find his license on the empty carpet. Until he realizes it's all pointless and he's evil. Shining gold as ever. Larry didn't even try to help or speak to the cop.

More good advice from Sashi, she's kind of like a Wiseman herself, lots of pep talks from her. Very good scene between Sashi and Penn. She didn't even wanna talk about Boone behind his back, that would've been easy to do but nope!

Why did Rippen have to use the pliers to to fix the lamp below the screen... by his crotch? With loud cranking!? Come on, you know that had to look a bit sus right?

Boone was ready to square up against Rippen so fast, if it wasn't for the fact he was a genie, I believe it would have been over for the poor villain. Boone seems tough he's just a bit cowardly, which is fine! Rippen is too! Too bad sass and pettiness got to Boone from a moody Rippen, an adult man.

To think, Sashi almost died because of Penn... as a monkey.

We adore Boone being difficult towards Rippen either on purpose or not! Gets worse for old Rip, Boone and Larry start to bond over baby nickels! Rippen is too much for me right now, I'm dying of laughter.

Do one of th bikers laugh at Penn's carpet and say "it's small"? I think so.

WILHELM SCREAM! Also Penn killed 3 bikers... not even a joke or a possibility that they survived. Nope! He got them, they're dead! Larry could've almost died we don't know, he blasted off to who knows where.

Awww, Boone being the team's anchor! Sounds mean at first but Penn brought it around. And putting a hand on Boone? I love them. I cherish this dream team. Too bad Rippen's gotta be a problem.

Boone? It's big brain time. Legit one of my favorite episode endings, he's so clever! He so easily manipulates Rippen and uses his own desires against him, even if that's not part of his mission! Great job, Boone! Everyone, clap for Boone! Just so subtlety twisting his words from "annihilate Penn Zero" to "I wish you would make Penn Zero expire", of course Rippen will say exactly what Boone said because he learned he needed to be so damn carful with his words like with the GPS and wanting peace and quiet! I feel bad for Penn, he must have felt so terrified at first. BUT HE TRUSTED HIM! And all that happened was him turning into expired milk! EVERYONE CLAP HARDER! Rippen just being like: alright kill him for real and Boone is like, nah, you already used all your wishes. Go cry about it, bitch!

And Rippen goes out in the funniest way imaginable! I need to clip this and talk about it forever!

I love Boone. I love this dream team. I cherish all of them. But Boone? This is your day! Shine!

I would have been pissed about the Sultan.

~The Characters~

Penn Zero: A low-blow towards his buddy but obviously some feelings he's had over time. Which understandable, I would be frustrated by that, I have been before. But glad that he felt guilty by that, it's good to be honest with your friends but coming off as a jerk doesn't feel good either. Just need to sit down and properly talk about stuff like that.

Boone Wiseman: Like what I said earlier, the ending was awesome, Boone, your a genius! But before that, the break up, I really felt for him, Like I said, it would crush me if my friend said that and that was my whole family's thing. Even though, technically we don't know that yet and sadly don't get that much attention as Sashi's family dynamic. Happy it all turned out right in the end and not in a way where it's like, why are you still friends. It's easy to mess that up.

Sashi Kobayashi: Sage advice from the non-wiseman, that's kinda been her role so far besides the bloodthirsty Sidekick.

Rippen: So damn funny! Like, I died. His raising anger and frustration is so good! The ending? Biggest and funniest L so far!

Larry: Not much to do but funny. This starts a good friendship between Boone and Larry, their bot so different the two.

Dimension(s): Desert... that's it. But the concept of how carpets are just motorbikes is good.

Forms: All great! Especially Genie Boone, I like his pointed ears! Penn's beautiful ponytail and Sashi as a monkey? Adorable. Biker Rippen and Larry ate hard.

Aunt Queen. What an absolute delight of a character! Strong, sassy, smart, funny, generous, and super feminine. With all the nonsense Anne went through being criticized for her female characters, I'm so glad she still had it in her to give us this dynamite lady. Also cool to have ELDERLY female characters get such attention and depth. Killing her off with the most shocking tragedy of that whole book 😭

The rest of these are SO close, that the order is going to be negligible

Khayman, but specifically his early self version. I'm not into smiling, childlike loopy modern Khayman, nor his descent into madness at the end. But I am so here for Khayman back when he was Akasha's henchman, and his gradual transition from being a devoted servant to realizing he was on the wrong side of history and turning against the tyrants. Get you a guy who can start a thousand year war....and win! How tortured he was about having to rape the twins, yet still being able (physically and emotionally) to do it, is so messy and complex! I love that dark stuff. That he's also just as much Jesse's greatx300 grandpa as Maharet is her grandma is also neat. People seem to only focus on Maharet as her ancestor and forget he's equally attached to Jesse.

Merrick is 3 only because she's less boring than the other two, though I've never been into her as a character. I don't hate her like so many people do, but I sure don't like her or ship it! I do like how dark her story is, how wrong it was of her to manipulate Louis and David the way she did, but how cool it was to see her (especially a female character) have so much power over these two men. And It's so messy and complicated the way Louis and David both feel about it after, because they do genually love her, and she wronged them, but it doesn't make them turn against her, their feelings are so twisty and they keep her in the family and are happy to be with her. A lot of Anne's relationships are like that, people can't just turn their feelings on and off and be all like "girl dump him" just cause the character has some evil in them. They're all evil, and that's the point! And they accept each other's evils along with their love, because that is just what kind of creatures they are. Also, it's cool to have a POC vampire's story added into the chronicles (even if she's only 1/8 black, and her family was white passing, she still grew up in black culture), and learning that there was a whole black side to the Mayfair witches, thanks to Julian the wonderslut, was awesome.

Gretchen is really really important to her book and to Lestat's character development, and I really appreciate her as a character for that. I think she's extremely well written, and such a complex, realistic, sympathetic person. But she's just not my type of person. If I had to write her in a fic, I'd be interested in the challenge of it, like with all things, but I wouldn't be excited. I'm glad Lestat was able to get over her quickly.

Raymond Gallant. Nothing at all wrong with this guy, but he barely even goes here. I liked how he functioned in Marius's story, and that he connects Marius to the Talamasca, and helps him with everything, but he pops up too late. It doesn't feel like great writing that he only suddenly appears in the story RIGHT before such a character would be useful to Marius. I would have liked to have him incorporated in a more gradual and less magically convenient way. I'm also not that into him as a ghost. He doesn't serve any plot or world-building purpose that Gremt and Magnus and Hesketh don't serve just fine. Feels like he's only there because it was one of Anne's "wouldn't it be cool if..." moments, and not for real structural or emotional reasons in the story. An editor would have either had her make him be more integrated in the story or told her to cut him out. But as a person, he's nice guy. And poor Marius needs as many friends as he can get. I wish we got to see them spending more time together.

Day 130 - Remilia Scarlet

Remi is a super cool character. She is one of two characters that are the reason I’m in the series in the first place, and I still hold her dear to my heart. Remi has a lot of nuance and detail that she is just so cool to see.

First, lore. Relatively simple, as she came to gensokyo, was put near Misty lake and established her mansion. She caused the incident of scarlet mist because she wanted to be able to go outside during the day. This shows her super arrogant side, with her mostly being self first, others later. This isn’t out of malice, she is mostly more childish rather than wanting to be rude to others. Her pride comes from her perception of herself being strong, which she is. Her ability is still very weird and unclear, but it seems she can influence the course of events to a certain outcome she wants.

Second, her relationships. A lot of her relationships are based on how interested remi is in them. If she finds them boring, she treats them like guests and doesn’t pay much mind. She treats those she likes as special, and tries to keep them around to watch them more. This ends up with her mostly keeping around a few friends( like how patchy ended up there ) and treating them well. She really cares for sakuya, despite the fact that she works her pretty hard and is her servant. She shows a different, nicer side to those she likes and is less selfish. The arrogance still shows, but as before isn’t malicious. Overall, she has a rougher front to new faces, but is nicer to her closer friends.

Finally, design. I like how simple, but effective remi’s design is. Her wings are cool, I like the redesigned hat, and just think she looks neat. Her theme is pretty good too, but remixes end up sounding nicer than the original. The song itself fits her well, with it being elegant, but powerful. I like playing her in 12.3 as well. Overall, remi has a lot of cool personality and great, simple lore that makes her awesome to see in most interpretations of her.
