- I’m happy to hear my story has motivated you to write as well. Definitely do it! I had a lot of doubts about specific areas of my writing, as you mentioned, but I’m really happy that I didn’t listen to those negative thoughts and pushed through regardless. Writing for yourself can honestly feel very healing at times.

- Love to hear that you identified with Eden and Levi in some ways. Eden definitely has certain qualities I can relate to as well - moreso her inner qualities as opposed to outward. I’m happy it helped you reflect and value situations :).

- Sorry for the tears, but I also love knowing my writing impacted people this much 🥲. I’m happy it moved you.

- I definitely made Eden suffer so much in this story 😭 maybe a bit too much, as you said. Her mother died, she had a shitty father that practically disowned her (then all of a sudden wanted to enter her life again), was raised with shitty propaganda against her kind that, as a result, allowed them to get murdered, broke the heart of the man she loved, etc. The list goes on.

- Levi and Eden’s relationship post-reveal was definitely one of the most heartbreaking aspects of the story. Levi said a lot of things he didn’t mean, and ik many readers were wondering why Eden didn’t put him in his place sooner 😂. It was very toxic at that point; they’d constantly go back and forth with Eden trying really hard to lighten the mood, but Levi would go back to square one and say something indicating he didn’t care about her anymore, even though it was a flat out lie. He probably could have handled his feelings differently… but honestly, even though he was being an asshole, I feel like some of Eden’s attempts at reaching out to him were realistic in some ways? Like, he was being toxic and a complete dick, but she was also very deeply in love with him and missed him. Love can blind you sometimes, and she still wanted a little piece of him back. But then the whole hate sex scene happened and she had enough sjsjdjdkf. That was the moment she realized she needed to stop trying because it didn’t seem like he was ever going to change his perspective of her.

- I feel like I owed everyone a happy epilogue, so I’m glad you enjoyed! Honestly, I made them suffer so much that a happy ending was necessary lol. I considered killing Eden off plenty of times, but I don’t think anyone would have forgiven me skskdfjs.

- “Loving you made me feel free” is also one of my favorite quotes. It really put into perspective how guarded and trapped Eden felt when it came to her emotions, and how falling for Levi helped her find herself, in a way.

- I feel honored that you plan to write this in your book journal! Literally such a huge compliment.

her backstory (in her ftes), character motivation, and even eng va are the same as haru okumura p5, who’s trapped in an impending abusive marriage and uses fantastical stories and tales of justice as escapism, only apparently Kodaka thinks that’s stupid and haru is just really dumb and stupid and only good for her boobs so he made fubuki “born sexy yesterday”.

this isnt even the first time hes done this!! leons execution is just the first victim of p4’s body discovery!!!! mondo is ripoff kanji tatsumi (still my fave anyway tho)!!! but it just feels so malicious this time and i HATE IT

i haven't played any of the persona games, but from what i know, the female characters are actually given their own perspectives. the main problem with fubuki for me (besides her ridiculously ott sexualisation) is that she doesn't seem to have any actual character or motivations. she has an ill-defined interest in "adventuring," and is naïve to the point of farce, but doesn't really have anything beyond that. what does she struggle with? what does she want to achieve?

she doesn't really show any emotions, placidly moving through the game and accepting whatever insane situation she's in. the craziest to me is her just getting a job after the submarine blows up, and seeming to accept everyone's deaths right away. what made her like this? did her family punish outward emotion? has she seen a lot of death? does she think she could have prevented the agency's supposed deaths? there are so many times you think she might be interesting but really she just has whatever perspective provides the least friction to the objective yuma currently has. this being said, i haven't done the gumshoe gab or dlc yet so maybe this will be improved, but i still feel i have a more solid grasp on vivia and halara's characters despite having barely any backstory for them, and characters should ideally be developed in the main game as opposed to optional side content.

i do think that kodaka (and society at large) has a real problem with fetishizing female youth and inexperience, as they make women and girls easier to manipulate. and so "attractive" female side characters tend to be young, naïve, and possess opinions that don't conflict with the male main character's, at least not to any real extent. they can bicker with him, they can call him names, but they can't actually act against him or on their own. halara and desuhiko investigate on their own, with their own aims (no matter how stupid and gross in desuhiko's case), and yakou and vivia [do what they do, in case people are reading this before finishing chapter 4]. but fubuki always stands next to yuma, just repeating back to him everything he says. given that one of the key points of fubuki's chapter is cooperation with the resistance, a topic on which the majority of kanai ward is highly opinionated, it's really strange to me that she doesn't really have a view on it. this is a problem i have with kurumi and shinigami too, they exist to tell yuma that he's doing the right thing, even when he obviously isn't.

i think, conceptually, fubuki is a great character. the fact that she seems to blame herself for deaths she couldn't prevent, especially [redacted]'s in chapter 4, is so interesting. the physical toll her ability takes on her when she uses it means she is constantly choosing between herself and others, who she can save and how much damage she has to do to herself to do so. i think it would be better if she suffered some kind of permanent effect from overuse of her ability, like illness, or scarring, or slow loss of some physical ability (although i don't really trust kodaka to write a disabled character lmao). in my opinion, this should kick in during case four, where she tries to use her ability repeatedly to save [redacted]. then she could struggle with the fact that doing so was kind of useless, that [redacted] was already going to die, and that her short-term intervention could never have saved them. she could be mad at them for whatever consequence she suffered, mad at herself for even thinking that, and mad at everyone that led to what happened in case four. there's so much potential she has and i am so mad it got squandered in favour of yuma, the world's plainest slice of white bread.

also, on the topic of mondo specifically, as a jojo fan, i always thought he was a rip-off of a bunch of elements of part 4 of that manga. specifically him having a similar hairstyle to josuke (the protagonist), talking in a similarly aggressive way to okuyasu (the protagonist's friend and ally) (at least for his first few appearances), and his biker gang being called the "crazy diamonds", literally the name of josuke's stand ability. good to know kodaka ripped off yet another property in making this one character lmao
