To know people feel this strongly about my story literally never fails to make me feel so fulfilled - like I’m doing something right in life, somehow

I like to give lengthy replies to long comments, so I hope you don’t mind either…

- I’m happy to hear my story has motivated you to write as well. Definitely do it! I had a lot of doubts about specific areas of my writing, as you mentioned, but I’m really happy that I didn’t listen to those negative thoughts and pushed through regardless. Writing for yourself can honestly feel very healing at times.

- Love to hear that you identified with Eden and Levi in some ways. Eden definitely has certain qualities I can relate to as well - moreso her inner qualities as opposed to outward. I’m happy it helped you reflect and value situations :).

- Sorry for the tears, but I also love knowing my writing impacted people this much 🥲. I’m happy it moved you.

- I definitely made Eden suffer so much in this story 😭 maybe a bit too much, as you said. Her mother died, she had a shitty father that practically disowned her (then all of a sudden wanted to enter her life again), was raised with shitty propaganda against her kind that, as a result, allowed them to get murdered, broke the heart of the man she loved, etc. The list goes on.

- Levi and Eden’s relationship post-reveal was definitely one of the most heartbreaking aspects of the story. Levi said a lot of things he didn’t mean, and ik many readers were wondering why Eden didn’t put him in his place sooner 😂. It was very toxic at that point; they’d constantly go back and forth with Eden trying really hard to lighten the mood, but Levi would go back to square one and say something indicating he didn’t care about her anymore, even though it was a flat out lie. He probably could have handled his feelings differently… but honestly, even though he was being an asshole, I feel like some of Eden’s attempts at reaching out to him were realistic in some ways? Like, he was being toxic and a complete dick, but she was also very deeply in love with him and missed him. Love can blind you sometimes, and she still wanted a little piece of him back. But then the whole hate sex scene happened and she had enough sjsjdjdkf. That was the moment she realized she needed to stop trying because it didn’t seem like he was ever going to change his perspective of her.

- I feel like I owed everyone a happy epilogue, so I’m glad you enjoyed! Honestly, I made them suffer so much that a happy ending was necessary lol. I considered killing Eden off plenty of times, but I don’t think anyone would have forgiven me skskdfjs.

- “Loving you made me feel free” is also one of my favorite quotes. It really put into perspective how guarded and trapped Eden felt when it came to her emotions, and how falling for Levi helped her find herself, in a way.

- I feel honored that you plan to write this in your book journal! Literally such a huge compliment.

- Happy you enjoyed the playlist! I feel like I might do that for future fics too. We’ll see :).

- I am fluent in Spanish! It’s definitely not perfect, but I do speak it :). English is my stronger language, but Spanish is practically all I speak at home. I can still read, write, and speak it, so I don’t mind messages in Spanish :). I could use the practice with reading tbh bc I don’t read in Spanish often anymore 😅.

Kinda a weird question but do you have any sexual headcanons regarding Levi?

Ooo interesting question.

One thing I kinda wish I explored more is sub Levi lmao. I honestly feel like he’s very inexperienced - that’s my main headcanon with him. Didn’t really seem that way in my fic, though ASDGDIDKD. I just really loved writing dom Levi, as you could probably tell 😶. I truly think he’s a switch, tbh, but at the start, he wouldn’t really be super dominant. The only way I see him being the first to initiate or take the lead is if the other person is also inexperienced and nervous, but if the other person is experienced or just more confident in that aspect, I’d imagine him to be submissive (I could have portrayed this better in IAL, but I just love dom Levi lmaooo). It’s a direct contrast to his outward personality, but makes sense to me, at least. He just seems like the type to be a little awkward at first, yet also really soft and tender. He might not know where to put his hands at first or feel self conscious about how he’s kissing them, but I feel like he’s really observant, so he’d watch his partner really carefully to see what type of reactions he was eliciting. Or he’d just happily follow their lead. As long as he’s comfortable, I think he’d have no issue letting someone else dominate him. I do think it needs to be someone he trusts immensely, though. It literally can’t be just anyone.

Butttt when he IS comfortable, I can totally see him being the assertive type - the type of assertive that would catch you off guard. I honestly think he’d be into making his partner beg and maybe some dirty talk. Not sure if I’d picture him fully degrading his partner, but more like mocking them, in a way. Like teasing them for begging or for their moans or just for how they’re reacting to him… that kind of thing. Eventually, I could totally see him being into rough sex, but he reallyyy has to be comfortable with the person, while also making sure he knew they’d be comfortable too. Definitely cannot see him being rough, assertive, and dominant just starting out. He’d want to establish a deeper intimacy with the person first, so he’d start out a little awkward and gentle, then transition into more being more assertive. (And if he’s super in love with the person… he’d be a MASSIVE sub 🤭).

Yes! I’m into the Legend of Zelda, The Last of Us, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, etc. I started watching the Walking Dead a few months ago and was superrrr into, but school distracted me so I have to pick it back up; I was on season 7. I’ve also been massive, massive Harry Potter fan ever since I was a kid. I even almost wrote a fic during my teen years, but that will never see the light of day 💀 (and just to be clear, I do not agree with J.K. Rowling’s problematic views 😃).

I’m sure there are more things I’m a fan of that I’m just not thinking about at the moment, but these are just to name a few.

How cringe is it that I always picture reader as myself? ._.

LMAO I mean, isn’t that the point of a reader insert? 😭 I don’t think it’s cringe. I’d be lying if I said I never did that 💀. It really depends on the fic for me tbh. If I feel like I don’t really resonate with a reader, I don’t see them as me, which I don’t see as a bad thing. They just might have certain attributes I don’t. For instance, Eden has a lot of qualities I don’t, so I’d say for the most part, I don’t really fully envision myself as her (probably just her height and dark hair lol).

I know that you're supposed to imagine a reader in fanfictions the way you want to but if you could cast someone for Eden who would you cast or how would your Eden look like? Do you imagine her as yourself?

I had this question asked before, and my answer was that I sorta always viewed her with dark hair and maybe green or hazel eyes. The best comparison I could think of is maybe Esmeralda from the Hunchback of Notre Dame, so I suppose I picture Eden looking similar to someone like her.

Another thing I wanna add is that I also see Eden being the same height as Levi. I’d say that’s the main thing I envision of myself in Eden bc I’m like 5’2” 😅.

I’d love to hear if anyone else has a specific image of Eden! This is just my interpretation, but there’s no wrong way to interpret her, so I’m curious to see how else people might imagine her :).
