hi alex, i was just rereading the og yours fic and i got to this:

Yes, I think you're right, he definitely did. It's very unfair Charles gets to have a poker face and the whole French language to hide behind if he so chooses, and Max is stuck being an open book, can't even lie through text. He has to try and even it out somehow
