i recently rewatched all of the unsleeping city and am now onto unsleeping city chapter 2, and you know what

i used to think of cody as a joke, the dorky sword kid, but i forgot how absolutely fucking real he was

i'm on episode 2, where pete turns the devil that cody sold his soul to (very quickly and willingly lmao) into a chest tattoo for him, and murph is like, "cody never smiles and so he's trying SO HARD not to smile right now". cody tries to be SO CHILL about the fact that he just found out less than 24 hours ago that MAGIC IS REAL and DEVILS ARE REAL and he meets these awesome fucking adults, one of whom takes the devil he sold his soul to (again, he offered his soul to this devil immediately) and turns it into a CHEST TATTOO with MAGIC.

I would be fucking LOSING MY GODDAMN MIND if that happened to me as a senior in high school. Cody, and Murph by extension, truly is all of us fuckin nerdy kids from high school who wanted to swing swords around and wear spiked collars and (bleem tim curry voice) CHAIN WALLETS and just like

So many kid's toys these days just. Arn't fun. They're designed to be COLLECTED rather than PLAYED with. Everything is a fucking blindbag. Materials are flimsy and cheap and designs don't hold up to an actual child throwing them around. And it's all so EXPENSIVE, even accounting for inflation.

To expand on my thoughts here, I'm unrolling a Twitter thread I made about this trend. (with some additions)

The Big H's handling of mainline figs is... distressing, of late. Very little push for show mains, oversupport of already saturated legacy characters, and some frankly unsettling engineering and materials choices (esp in Cyberverse).

Increase in overall fragility, thinner parts, styrene-on-styrene joints that will go floppy in a few months of light play, very little "clicks" or locks solidly... the passion is clearly in the collector's end, and that's just bass ackwards.

This repugnus would have been amazing triumph from Mego in 1970s. But for a mainline big H TF line in the 2020s? This is a backslide. And before anyone brings up that it's from the kids' line, that's the point. They're KIDS, they should get MORE care and effort in their merch.

Every toy you make might be a kid's only birthday gift or holiday present. Toys are /given/ to children, and if the work is subpar, you make a chump out of grandma. You won't be there to blame if it breaks or disappoints.

It seriously drives me nuts seeing how far the stuff-for-kids industries have fallen. There's no brands without the work, but as the poet DMX said: "these cats done forgot what work is."

All your blockbuster superhero empires start in the pulp gutters. Compared to the movies toys, games and comics will never be profitable ENOUGH to be worth it on a billion-dollar scale ledger.

If you want the stuff that makes the Michael Bay blockbuster, you have to start with the stupid goofy cartoon no one had seen before where anxiety over the oil crisis was acted out by robotic Punch and Judy puppets. How many studios would greenlight TMNT or TF sight unseen today?

If you make toys and cartoons and video games, your job is to make kids happy. How is that not sacred? If anything is sacred it should be that.

Art is the act of evoking emotion, and fun is an emotion (what else could it be described as?) and it is SO IMPORTANT.

I fear that gets lost in the "what to do over next?" rush. Every artist at those companies has a dozen amazing ideas in their back pocket that won't get a chance to become the next Transformers because a studio is terrified they'll make Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors instead.

Since the world is run by Captain Planet villains, I wouldn't bat an eye if we found out venture capital was a ploy by some disgruntled warlock who just hates the goddamn Care Bears.

Just some dick at Bear Sterns singing "There's no room for joy on a spreadsheet" to a weaselly sidekick.

Cuz guys, we've got companies that make GAMES for CHILDREN hiring the Pinkertons. I repeat. Games. For. Children. That's not normal. That's not a normal thing. That is a very disturbing thing.

And its hard to even discuss without sounding like a frickin' Care Bear myself. Because how do you sum up the creeping dread that the support beams are being mined thin, and everything fun for kids will go the way of Toys-R-Us, dragged down like Artax.

I'm not advocating pure altruism here. There's plenty of money to be made giving kids an awesome experience. It's investing in future fandom. Real Brand loyalty. If you want the blockbuster 15 years from now, get them hooked on the fun cartoon now. The value-add always pays off.

For every Transformers or He-Man there's going to be several Robotix-es or Power Lords. That's a risk. A risk worth taking. New ideas should be easier and cheaper to bring to fruition now than ever. But the system won't let it happen.

Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story

HELL YEAH MORE SUPERMAN. And this is a documentary about the guy who played Superman in the original movies? Awesome. I've never seen those movies, but I don't have to know they are infinitely better than those fucking Zack Snyder ones. Anyway, as soon as I heard about it I was incredibly excited. I wasn't sure if I was gonna review this movie, since I don't think people engage with documentaries the same way they engage with structured narratives, so I didn't know if my review style would work. But I want to tell people about this movie so I'll muddle through.

By the way Tumblr, and I'm speaking to the users and not the website this time, thank you SO MUCH for having EVERY SINGLE top post under the Superman tag be about FUCKING BATMAN. GOD FORBID I TRY TO ENJOY SOMETHING DC RELATED AND NOT GET REMINDED OF THE GOTH FURRY.

What's The Movie About.

Christopher Reeve and his role as Superman, his accident and subsequent adjustment to life, and the founding of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

What I Like.

The whole movie, pretty much. I like the way they present the information, I like the glimpse into Christopher Reeve's life. They were incredibly respectful of the man while still acknowledging his flaws. They showed a lot of footage of home videos his wife took and I liked seeing hi trying to spend time with his kids after his accident. I didn't know Christopher Reeve directed movies either, that's pretty cool. I actually didn't know a lot about him, so this movie was fascinating. Probably the coolest thing was learning that he was best friends with Robin Williams, although it seems obvious in hindsight. Like of course the man who's still who I want to be when I grow up is best friends with Superman! The biggest thing I like about this movie was the message of never giving up. Christopher (and his wife, who I learned died of cancer only two years after he died) was faced with an impossible situation, and he never gave up. There were moments of weakness, sure. But he persevered. He kept fighting. I'm absolutely not ashamed to admit this movie made me cry like four or five times, and all of them were in relation to Chris overcoming or succumbing to the more tragic parts of his life. (Or when Glenn Close said Robin would probably still be alive if Chris was like WOMAN YOU CAN'T DO ME LIKE THAT.) There's a really cool visual of a stature of Superman/Christopher floating through spaces that get's green crystals when they talk about Chris's injuries and the movie opens with an awesome shot of the statue right in front of nebula that looks like a cape. It's so cool that I completely disregard that the movie should have ended on that shot instead of opened on it. Either way, this movie is really quite excellent.

What I Didn't Like.

It's just a shame YOU CAN'T WATCH THIS ANYWHERE. WHY THE FUCK IS THIS A LIMITED RELEASE?! I get it's a documentary and maybe that doesn't have as much appeal as a regular comic book movie, but our theater is showing this movie for only TWO DAYS. I HAD TO PAY TO WATCH IT. Yes, I was happy to, it was a worthwhile experience. But why limit the opportunity for people to watch it? Seriously. This is baffling.

Final Summation.

This is a movie about Superman and hope of course I like this movie. I guess watch it on Max in like a month. I guess I was kind right about not being able to review documentaries as easily, but honestly the half-assed nature of this piece might be just because this movie is pretty damn good. I don't have much to say beyond that.

Which was a bulletproof arrangement for the brunette, too.

So when the question came from behind her, Melissa actually paused everything and turned around in the chair, craning her body to look at the redhead. They had discussed the dental insurance earlier - one of the few things Reno did recommend, and which made a lot of difference for a slum kid like him to fit in (the woman could see why, of course). The joke, however, didn't have his wife laughing - but instead removing the reading glasses off her face very seriously, folding it in a classical pensive move.

"Well. There is nothing in the rules saying you couldn't do it. Personally, I do think it matches your brand," the brunette smiled, then regarded Reno with a pointed look that was the prelude of her own comeback, "But if you want honest advice from your darling wife? Don't do it. Can see that being a problem if you feel like sucking dick and the guy is distracted," Melissa then outright grinned, obviously finding the idea hilarious in her head, "It's not that I don't think you give awesome head, my dear. We've been catching up on some TV recently 😄

Obi-Wan Knobie

I thought the series was excellent! and think they should do a Season 2. The only problem I had was with his interaction with Leia it kinda doesn't mesh with Episode 4 like when she is leaving the message for him in R2 it like she doesn't know who he is but she should know or remember who Obi-Wan Kenobi is becasue as a kid she spent quite a bit of time with him. that is pretty much my only gripe with the show a continuity error

She-Hulk

I wanted to see this being I'm a fan of the character and I was happy they were going with the funny/silly 4-wall breaking version which is the version of She-Hulk that I like. Now I actually the series was awesome! I enjoyed it alot! I laughed at parts and giggled at parts and did a few eye rolls here and there. Its all very fun I liked the references and the 4 wall breaks I thought Tatiana Maslany was perfect as Jennifer Walters the way they did She-Hulk was awesome I liked how they kept her origin somewhat close to the comics love the Cameos and thought Tim Roth is still killing it as Abomination. but like I said I enjoyed the series and as a comic reader I have to say that the show is very She-Hulk very similar to the comics.

Ms.Marvel

Now next we watched Ms.Marvel now I can't say I know alot about the Kamala Khan version of Ms.Marvel being I didn't and haven't been reading her series. the Ms.Marvel I grew up with was Carol Danvers Ms.Marvel before she became Captain Marvel. but like I said I know the basics about Kamala Khan from her team-ups and guest appearances in other books. the show is really good it has the fun almost silliness to it but at the same time a very seriousness as well similar to how Spider-Man: Homecoming was it had that same feel as that movie almost. there was some funny moments and some nice action and visuals and speaking of which I knew they changed her powers for live action and she is no longer "stretchy" with her shape shifting powers in the show she is now more like the MCU version of Green Lantern where she puts on a The bangle and it gives her the power to create Hardlight constructs similar to what a Lantern Ring does also there was one thing that bothered me the "Bad Guy" in this were suppose to be djinn but they didn't seem to have any type of magical powers? you would think they would? djinn are suppose to be magical creatures aren't they? also another thing the ending I remember ppl saying that the '97 X-Men animated theme is heard during a scene but I didn't hear anything I watched the scene like 3 times and couldn't hear anything. other then that I thought it was a good and fun show.

Moon Knight

and finally on the Marvel side of things we watched Moon Knight. I know a lil bit more about the character the Kamala Khan's Ms.Marvel. I thought the series was really great plenty of action and adventure and some funny moments I thought I thought the visuals for this were also really well done and kinda impressively cool at times. One thing tho I did feel at a few moments during the series it felt a bit disjointed but got back on track quickly it was like it hit a "speedbump" for a minute. I also think Oscar Isaac was great as Moon Knight and he pulled off the somewhat craziness that the character is know for perfectly! the duality that they do in this was excellent. but yeah I thought it was great and a good introduction for the character into the MCU

Now after watching all three Marvel shows I thought they were all really good and I enjoyed them all but I would have to say I enjoyed She-Hulk the most. I actually thought it was the best of the 3 I probably think that being that I am an actual fan of She-Hulk but also I thought it was witty and funny and full of all kinds of moments and things that I enjoy like comic references and Easter eggs and also I felt it was very close to the actual comics so I'd say I liked it the most.

Also I watched Werewolf by Night now that is something I thought I would never see in live action! but it was pretty great! I liked the whole B&W aesthetic where it looked like a 1950's monster movie that was great! and I loved how they did Man-Thing (aka "Ted") he was perfect! it was a great an somewhat funny introduction of the character into the MCU and I like how they had him use his acidic/burning touch thing too. but it was a good lil special I do wonder if this will have any connections to the upcoming Blade movie?

Hey, everybody, it's nightmare, and welcome back to another chapter of Angelica’s sensation before we get started with today's chapter, I wanna personally thank you for the amazing support this series getting. I thought it wasn’t a good enough series, but I guess wrong anyway without further ado, here is the next chapter.

Chapter 4 vendetta

Friday morning at the pickles house. Tommy and Dil were going themselves ready for school while Chuckie, Phil, Lil, and Kimi were downstairs waiting in the living room, for two boys.

‘So, anybody else excited about next month's Halloween dance on the 30th says, Phil. Looking at the others to reply to his Question.

‘ most differently, says Chuckie with a bit of sarcasm. The last thing we need is another embarrassment after what happened last year’s Halloween dance.

His step-sister Kimi turns to face her brother with a confused look on her face.

‘You're overreacting, about last year's incident Wasn't bad enough for the other students who cheated or sneak into the dance without a ticket is no big deal Chuckie his step-sister comments. Besides, I overheard that a costume contest is being held on the night of the dance, and the grand prize is better than you can imagine Kimi added before finishing up.

Chuckie looks back at his step-sister And replies. ‘Yes, I'm overreacting about last year’s incident. It’s bad enough for someone who could’ve just gotten a date with Nicole Boscarelli, but I have no excuses or an explanation. Plus what do you mean by the grand prize being better than we could ever imagine how much information you know? He questioned Kimi.

‘ could've, Chuckie we assumed that you had already decided to take Nicole to the Halloween dance and you’re saying you don't have a real explanation seriously doubt that, but yeah Chuckie’s right how could this year's Halloween dance be better than the last one says, Phil.

‘Simply said, Kimi. Yesterday after school I've spoken with the Halloween crew members who were responsible for last year's Halloween dance. It turns out that the grand prize winners get special things.

Look, dude said Lil. Facing Chuckie. We understand where you're coming from, which was unexpected, but look at it this way if you can't find a single date by the time the Halloween dance comes around I’ll be happy to be your Halloween date how's that sound says, Lil, waiting for his reply.

Doesn't sound too bad, but I'll take your offer if I can't convince Nicole to go with me to the Halloween dance said Chuckie.

While the conversation with the others continued, Tommy and Dil started walking downstairs with their book bags and a sweater. Both the boys hear the commotion coming from their living room and spotted the others while entering.

‘Hey, guys sorry for the hold-up Dil and I thought we had everything we needed before our afternoon classes. Anyway, y'all ready to go asked Tommy while looking at the others.

About time you and dil show up said, Phil. We were just talking about the upcoming Halloween dance within a few more weeks and Kimi conversed with crew members who were responsible for last year's Halloween dance last year he said. ‘ yeah, what about them dil replied, will say, Phil. This year's grand prize winners get a special better than last year's grand prize he replied to dil.

‘Awesome, says Tommy. I think it’s worth the risk of winning that contest, but it looks like we have to go bus is almost here and we don’t want to be last for school he added.

Before they were about to leave the house their mother Didi walked from the kitchen and stopped them before leaving the house.

Hold on kids before she says. Before everyone leaves. Tommy and Dil, you're cousin Angelica will be staying with us for Thanksgiving dinner and winter break. Phil, Lil, Kimi, and Chuckie you're parents have already confirmed your beheading back to our house after school correct she asked them.

Phil, Lil, Kimi, and Chuckie nodded their heads in agreement that their parents had already known ahead of time. Tommy and Dil also nodded as well.

‘Wonderful, your kids have a great time at school and be safe she added watching them walk out the door and head into the bus.

Later on in the afternoon at Jim class. Tommy and Phil, we're busy playing basketball along with the other classmates. While Mr. Pangborn was keeping track of all the students during the basketball routines.

‘So, it’s clear that you and the others including dil understand why you guys are staying over said Tommy while following along with the other students. ‘ yeah, Phil responded. We’ve been wondering what exactly happened between y’all and Angelica. But to answer your question from earlier. Chuckie stated he’s been having difficulties asking Nicole to the Halloween dance, we thought he'll ask her asked by now, but we guess wrong without a doubt he should have everything under control.

Tommy nodded and the two boys continue they were Jim's class once it was over.

‘Later on, at the pickle's house. Chuckie, Phil, Lil, and Kimi were upstairs inside Tommy and DIL's bedroom to discuss the issue of the Thanksgiving incident with their cousin Angelica.

‘So, what's with angelica circumventing half of the school students say’s, Kimi? I'm starting to suspect Angelica is either concealment or she's overwhelmed by anxiety Kimi added waiting for Tommy or dil to respond as she was sitting on DIL's bed along with Lil sitting next to her on the left side of the bed.

‘Will said Dil. The reason Angelica is circumventing half the school is completely unknown to us, but the whole reason why she's circumventing, Tommy and me are that we don't truly believe or comprehend what she's dealing with at home and school.

So have you and Tommy asked around the school if they had any leads and what about her friends Kimi Question them.

Tommy and dil look at each other and back at each other. ‘ we tried asking around the school including her friends Tommy stated. Nobody, not even her teachers. This all started around the 15 of November 2014 one week before Thanksgiving.

Flashback one week after Thanksgiving.

On November 15 Tommy and Dil made their way to the house after a long day of school. while entering their mother and father could be heard inside the kitchen having a conversation about Thanksgiving dinner. Hi, mom and dad were home from school says, Tommy, who entered the kitchen along with his young brother dil followed behind him.

Hi, kids how was school today their father asked while reading the newspaper at the table. School was alright replied Tommy. dispensing that we don't win the Halloween contests, but theirs next year he added before finishing. ‘ yeah hopefully next year is better than the last dil comments. Tommy’s right said their father putting the newspaper down. There’s always next year any way your mother and I have something momentous for you boys he says.

Tommy and Dil became curious about what they were about to get told but their parents.

their mother turned around to face them and replay. You're cousin Angelica will be staying over for Thanksgiving dinner. We understand that you boys don't get along with Angelica but promise to not start with her or cause problems says their mother. That’s the problem Tommy says to his mom. She's always blaming us for things that don't involve the problems she's facing and she's been taking her irritation out on us for the past couple of weeks. ‘ yeah, we understand we don't get along with her, but it's becoming completely difficult to get this situation under control known talking won't be useful. He said before finishing up their side of the story.

Look spot their father said. Sometimes it's normal for family and friends to agree and disagree with each other it's part of life, but you stated that she's taking her irrigation on y'all for the past couple of weeks is unhealthy. Sooner or later you and dil along with Angelica gonna have to talk about it eventually when the time is right their dad added. Dad’s correct Tommy said dil. Eventually, the conversation with us both is much needed whenever it comes to pass.

Tommy nodded in agreement with dil about having a good exchange with angelica. after the boys had a conversation with their parents Tommy and Dil headed upside toward their bedroom. Meanwhile, while the boys were upstairs in their bedroom Angelica's mother had dropped her off at her house as punishment for the next few weeks.

angelica and her mother exited the car parked on the right-hand side of the house. She grabbed her blue and purple duffel bag from the front set while she closed the door behind her. It doesn't matter since I have to spend Thanksgiving weekend with those two always get on my nerves it's a good thing that I spend a lot of time updating and expanding the map layout of the house itself located inside my duffel bag hidden within my clothes underneath she whispered while walking towards the house and knocking on the door.

Before Grandpa could set down on the couch chair located in the leveling room he overhead knocked on the door and wonder how could be at the door. I’ll answer it said, grandpa Lou getting up from the chair and walking towards the door, and opening it to see Angelica and her mother. Hello, grandpa says, Angelica, walking inside the house. Hello, Angelica, it's been a while since I last saw you're grown more mature since you were a child he said.

She smiled at her grandpa knowing he was the only person who understand. Honestly, it doesn't seem to be I've grown more mature enough but hearing about how much I've grown is wholesome enough I might be going places. She comments. Well, kiddo Your most different earned the right to get compliments for the hard work you make he said rubbing her head with his right hand. Anyway, you run along up and start with your belongings Tommy and dil should be upstairs don’t forget to get say hello to them before heading towards the guest room replay grandpa.

Angelica nodded only to turn around while closing her eyes. taking a deep breath and slowly releasing from her nose knowing she was about to be a more paranoid haven to deal with her cousins. She started healing upstairs while carrying her duffel bag on her right shoulder. While she was heading upstairs Tommy and Dil could hear Angelica walking toward their bedroom. She noted that her cousins were talking about other things that didn't interest her while she passed the bedroom.

After a few minutes, she entered the guest bedroom located on the left side of the house. It's been a while since I've seen this room surprising that nobody knows that I have a complete layout of the house itself including the bottom and top floors. She said putting her

duffel bag on top of the bed opening it only to reach inside to grab the layout of the house.

Can't believe that I upgraded the map fitting for me most of the areas where the changes that were needed for my escape tonight.she said opening up the map and looking over the details of her escape. If memory serves me correctly the only changes that were make where the gust bedroom leaving from the window was risky enough for having the right amount of blinds we’re I’m at right now, my uncle and aunt bedroom is behind difficult if not done properly and as for Tommy and dil there simply enough with come ease she says moving her eyes down to the lower map of the house .

That just leaves the front door and the backyard, it would be easier to leave through the front door if it wasn’t so noisy that's out the window so my only possibility of escape is through the backyard leaving me with no other option she said before putting the map layout back into her Duffel bag.

While Angelica was putting her map layout of the house away inside her duffel bag her cousins Tommy and dil decide to head towards the guest bedroom she was located. You understand that we have to talk about how you just walked access our room without saying something, and what is the problem with said, Tommy, standing near the doorway with dil. Why would you two bother me to ask such a quesquestion when I simply don't have to answer you're annoying stupid question especially if the situation is none of your business, it's always a good idea to annoy Angelica or simply dig into my personal problems when everyone is always questioning me making a nuisance out of myself nobody appreciates anything I work hard for getting blame Angelica's comments before the three of them started whispering and arguing with each other.

After the argument that the three had Angelica started crying over the argument, she just had. I don't understand why I get myself into so many problems with them it never-ending cycle getting blamed for unnecessary drama involving not working hard enough around the house and always coming back and forth between home and work. I'm exhausted from this unhealthy situation, my mother doesn't seem to understand that I'm sick and tired of her being an ungrateful mother we argue with each other, and can't get along she said while letting her frustration out.

A few hours later around nighttime, Angelica's phone started vibrating from a text message from Susie saying she and her sister are a few minutes away from the house and should be arriving in less than two minutes. She started grabbing her phone which was located on the nightstand on the right side of the window including her contract ticket along with her sweatshirts for her and Susie she bought online from the concert website.before she left the guest bedroom Angelica fixing the bedsheets along with the pillows , she took one of the pillows from the middle of the bed and placing both the pillows on top of each other and making it look like she never left the room.

Angelica carefully walked out the guest bedroom into the hallway while putting on her sneakers. Once She finished putting on her sneakers ahead where her aunt and uncle's bedroom carefully sneaking passed their bedroom along with her cousins. After making it halfway through the house now downstairs she quickly turned her head right to face the empty kitchen with nobody else in plain sight just before she thought it was clear to proceed grandpa could be spotted entering the house from the backyard door. Angelica continue walking slowly until both grandpa and Angelica spotted each other.

Angelica said, grandpa what are you doing up this time of night he said whipping with a curious look on his face waiting for her reply. Angelica took a deep breath and replied. ‘ the truth is grandpa. ‘I'm currently sneaking out of the house for a concert that I'd been planning on taking Susie for her birthday today, but mother and I started disagreeing with each other after she had allowed me to buy concert tickets but randomly change her mind and said that I couldn't go after working hours at work grounded me for arguing with her she comments. Please grandpa I've been waiting for this one special event she adds pleading.

Grandpa sighed in relief knowing her mother was in the wrong. The good news is that you are honest and told the truth about your mother not allowing you to this concert, fitting that you're technically grounded for arguing with her, and I understand that your dealing with problems with your Mother is unhealthy but just between the two you're free to go with Susie have fun and be safe and remember to be careful when entering back into the house through the backyard grandpa whipped before heading upstairs and allowing Angelica through.

Thanks, grandpa you're the best, and I promise don't worry she whispered with a smile on her face before leaving the house through the background and closing the door slowly before taking off.

End of flashback.

After Tommy and dil had finished their side of the story, Phil, Lil, Kimi, and Chuckie were dumbfounded by learning about their situation with Angelica.

For the past couple of weeks, she's been taking her irrigation on y'all hell might as well be all of all said Kimi. I'm frustrated with the fact that nobody else is doing anything to stop this she added before Lil chimed in. More importantly, ‘I have a feeling that she's either hiding something from us or someone is keeping the information from coming out Lil said with a curious look on her face. Yeah, I agree with your dad eventually this situation will be talked about sooner or later fitting that Susie’s bound to question us before long Lil comments.

What do you mean by might as well be all of us Tommy asked Kimi raising an eyebrow. What she means is that Angelica has been given the same amount of problems that she’s been given yall but worse said, Lil. It's been happening since the beginning of the sophomore year one minute she’s friendly and the next minute she’s acting like we destroy her life or mentaling into a situation where you barely even have control over comments Lil.

Since the beginning of the sophomore year replay Tommy. Seems like we're going to have a long conversation with Angelica and Susie which I'm not ready for. Don't blame dude said, Phil. Anyway, we should get ready for bed but let's just say that Angelica was hitting information that could have made this situation problematic who could be that intelligent enough to make it this fair Phil question them. Well said Lil. Have a few suspects that is involved or who I think is involved with this situation more on that on a later conversation she relayed to her bother.

Once the conversation with Tommy, Phil, Lil, Kimi, Chuckie, and dil the whole gang started getting ready for bed once everyone else settled Tommy turned out the lights and fail to sleep.

Okay so you guys found out you were pregnant not by taking like a pregnancy test or anything but the family is getting ready for breakfast and you are the last two come downstairs and 12-year-old Dolores goes "does anyone hear that?"

of course everyone's confused bc nobody knows what she's talking about and then she keeps talking

"Dolores what are you talking about?" and Dolores frowns and looks at Pepa "mamá It's an extra heartbeat It's so quiet." She took her head while pepa and Felix Just look at her puzzled.

You finally come downstairs to join everybody and little Dolores grabs your wrist and tugs you towards her.

And then she places her ear on your still flat tummy.

"its coming from you."

everyone else at the table is like freaking out except for The youngest three who are literally 4,5, and 9.

Bruno, who's frozen in his chair staring at Dolores like she grew an extra head

And you. who just came downstairs has no idea what Dolores is talking about. You laugh nervously at her and part her head. "what are you talking about, amor?"

Julieta insist on a party because honestly no one really thought Bruno was going to have kids.

It's relatively small due to Not a lot of people in town liking him but everyone's really too happy to care.

The two of you discussed names and decided if you had a boy you would name him after Bruno's father Pedro with Alma's permission of course. And if she said no your backup option was Mateo.

and if it was a girl, Which Bruno seemed so sure it was, he decided Aurora, You didn't know where he got it from at all

but it means Dawn Which was the time of day he realized "oh shit I'm in love with them"

Him and Mirabel are so cute together

they both talk to the baby. Not the cute baby talk but they have genuine conversations with this baby. sometimes a kind of feels like you're interrupting.

One time in particular you went to take a nap on the couch and you wake up to Mirabel laying along your legs Her cheeks pressed against her now showing Belly and He finger laying next to your belly button just talking. Clandestine by @junghelioseok is fantastic. Jeon Jungkook is the best friend of the reader’s slightly younger brother. He’s sexy and charismatic and DEFINITELY knows what he wants. The growth of his (clandestine) connection with the reader is utterly delicious. This one made me laugh and swoon.

Guarded by @xjoonchildx is basically legendary in my book. The lady in this story is not only Hoseok’s best friend’s sister—she is also his BOSS’s sister and by boss I mean mafia. This is the first installment in Ana’s amazing Rap Line Mafia Universe and it delivers on every level. Hoseok is tasked with protecting the boss’s sister after she is being threatened by sinister forces unknown and sparks fly.

Plums and Melons by @winetae is THAT FIC. The fic I just daydream about sometimes. It’s a fic about two people caught hard in eachother’s gravity. It’s so sexy and cerebral and the main characters are so hot. Jimin is just a guy trying to live his life, but whatever is brewing between him and his best friend’s sister is driving him insane. He wants to be a good guy, but she just isn’t playing fair.

Are You Sure? by @cutechim is such a swoon-worthy and touching piece of wonderful. I tell you I was MOVED. This is beautiful and emotional and EXTREMELY satisfying. Taehyung’s best friend has a sister who he has always secretly adored. When she comes to him and asks for some intimate experience, he isn’t strong enough to say no—not when she’s everything he ever wanted.

Drivers License and Detour by @gyukult is sweet and tender and just a fantastic coming of age story. The reader has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Park Jimin, for almost all of her youth... but what is going on in his head?It’s a tender story that really warms the heart. AND I am happy there is more coming. I would read about these two all day. She published the second part and oh my gosh it’s so incredibly perfect I could scream. This was just such a beautiful journey every step of the way.

Milestone by @1kook is probably one of the first brother’s best friend BTS fics I read and it is amazing. I adore it so much. Because Jungkook is your brother’s best friend he is there for every milestone in your life. But you’ve both grown up now and neither of you are kids anymore. It’s hot. Like really hot. Dialogue and set up are so sharp and fast paced I really loved every second.

Young God by @njssi is scorching hot smut with complicated feelings and warm revelations. You think it’s going somewhere and then it goes somewhere else and honestly it is so awesome the whole time. Jungkook was always your brother’s sweet little friend, but he’s returned determined to show you that he is all grown up.

Tease by @caiuscassiuss floored me. I loved it so much! I spent the whole story just squealing happily about everything. This story has it all. It’s scorching hot. It’s enemies-to-lovers. It’s Taehyung. Jungkook’s sister and Kim Taehyung do not get along AT all—so she decides to bring him to his knees by making him desperate for her. It’s a wild and completely awesome ride.

Wasabi by @ironicarmy is a classic. Hobi is a bad boy that Namjoon vehemently refuses to let near his precious baby sister. But love is too strong a force and soon Hobi and the clever object of his desire decide that some things are worth fighting for. It’s a really sweet story of facing challenges and relying on the people you love. Warm and fuzzy feelings abound, but it’s also super hot.

Forbidden by @btssmutgalore is a masterwork blueprint for this trope. Hobi is a carefree player who falls brutally for Taehyung’s sister. They two of them eventually give in to a VERY steamy series of secret encounters and feelings get very involved. This is hot, suspenseful, and emotionally satisfying. Excellent characterizations as well.

Prohibido by @personasintro is an office AU with a twist. Namjoon is not only her brother’s best friend, he is also her boss and the two of them have incredible chemistry. Watching them pretend that they’re not insanely attracted to each other is so endearing and hot. Reader is convinced her feelings are one-sided. It’s lovely and fun. Definitely a slow burn, but worth it.

Strawberry Kisses by @kimnjss is a fic that I devoured in one sitting and then re-read again immediately. Jeon Jungkook is a player who matches with a girl on a dating app and has no idea she is the sister of his revered mentor and close friend, Min Yoongi. I laughed. I cried. I GASPED OUT LOUD a bunch. It was a whole thing. This is a hybrid social media/written AU and it’s pretty much perfect.

Tempestuous by @ppersonna is so special to me because it was written at the very beginning of my friendship with Lindy. She was looking for requests and I was quick to request my favorite trope. Lindy is bae now and this fic she wrote is marvelous. You are forced to spend the weekend in the same house with your sexy arch-rival Taehyung who just so happens to be your brother’s best friend. Naturally snarky hotness ensues.

Off Limits @floralseokjin is basically a famous entry when it comes to this trope. It’s a Jin fic and Miss Jordan writes EXQUISITE Jin characterizations. There is a hint of mistaken (or unknown) identity in this one which makes it even more fun. Sparks fly between you and a devilishly charming Kim Seokjin at a party. You don’t find out until later who he really is—and why he’s off limits.

And finally I’ll recommend my own Brother’s Best Friend fic All I Want for Christmas is You featuring a charming Taehyung who falls for Jimin’s sister. Jimin basically blackmails his best friend into escorting his sister to several holiday galas. Tae and Jimin’s sister have never gotten along, but they soon discover (through multiple pranks and mishaps) that love (and desire) are out of their control.

Not Your Fairytale by @yeojaa is incredibly sweet and tender. Erin really does emotion so well and her Yoongi characterization is honestly so nuanced and brilliant. This story is about a girl who had her heart broken and instead of canceling the cake tasting she scheduled with her philandering ex-fiancé, she wrangles the tsundere best friend of her brother to pretend to be him.

Brother’s Best Friend by @bts-hyperfixation is a short and sweet moment between two people who have been fighting their attraction for each other. It is so hot and delicious I tell you. You’re in trouble and the person you call is probably the person you shouldn’t—but you aren’t the only one willing to take a risk tonight.

Off Limits by @kaddiiction will break your heart and put it back together again. This one was recommended to me by a reader and I cannot thank them enough. It is fantastic. Jimin is a player but he crosses the line when he begins a liaison with his best friend’s sister. Still there is far more to this situation—and Jimin—than meets the eye.

꧁Best Friend’s Brother꧂

Orectic by @gimmesumsuga is one of my favorite fics of all time. It is a hybrid fic where the reader is a cat hybrid and Hoseok is the brother of her best friend who comes to stay with her while her bestie is away... It is so tender yet SO HOT. I’m telling you I cannot even keep count of how many times I have read it.

Theophany by @ilikemesometaetaes was a JOURNEY. It made me so emotional. Like the story centers around art a lot, but let me tell you, this fic IS art. Jimin is just the man of my whole dreams in this piece as the brother of a former best friend with an irresistible allure. It is a coming of age story with the most beautiful twist. AND THE LOVE SCENE—oh my gosh I screamed it was so good. This story is just so so good.

Run by @neonlights92 is Jungkook’s story in the mafia universe I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED WITH. You don’t have to read the whole series to understand it (BUT YOU SHOULD). This is best friend’s brother meets arranged marriage and honestly it’s fantastic. Jungkook doesn’t do love and affection and being forced into an arranged marriage with his sister’s friend who has always had a crush on him is just a blow to his freedom... or is she? GAH! This story—like all the stories in this universe—is superb.

The Magic to Happiness by @readyplayerhobi is a best friend’s brother meets teachers AU meets Hogwarts AU. Now... all of those are top tier tropes so finding them together is like winning the lottery. Hobi was once just a skinny kid who had obvious heart eyes for you (his sister’s best friend) but now he’s tall and confident and really attractive. The magic of this story is evident in every word of the sweet relationship that blooms between these two.

Problem with You by @monvante is so sweet and kind of hilarious. I giggled so much! Jungkook is your best friend’s brother and he is kind of too perfect and too handsome and he’s always around and you hate him and he hates you... Right? When you cross paths with the infuriating Jeon Jungkook at your best friend’s wedding, you discover that you may have been wrong about a great many things.

Show Me Yours and I’ll Show You Mine by @ktheist is so so SO fabulous. I was obsessed with this (now complete) series from the very first installment. Tenya's favorite memory with you was your guy's wedding day. You and Tenya were inseparable, ever since you two got together in U.A. You two have been together since you both were around 15 and 16 years old, you're currently 24 and 25. It was always known that you guys were probably going to get married, which you always loved the idea of.

It was spring, your wedding day was quickly approaching. The cherry blossom leaves were falling, all different shades of pink and white. It was warm but not too hot, everything was perfect. The beautiful forest behind the venue, there were white benches and the front had this wonderful rock half-wall. The wedding was started, Tenya was at the front with his hands by his side, his brother Tensei as the best man standing next to him. Everyone was seated and waiting, then the melody started playing. It was being played by a piano, and it sounded beautiful. Everyone stood up, then he saw you. He could feel his heart stop, you were wearing a white wedding dress, a ball gown silhouette, and lace towards the bottom. Tenya had a wide smile, he could feel his heart race. Your (h/c) hair was pulled up into a tight bun, with a long veil with lace.

You got to the altar, and the ceremony went on. As it went on, you would sniffle every now and then and you would hear him choke up some. Whenever it got to vows, you almost broke. "Tenya, I'm so glad that I can marry you and spend every day with you. Whenever we first met I didn't realize how much I would love you, but now I know I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world. I love you so much and I'm so happy that I can be your wife." You say, tearing up with joy. "(y/n), you motivate me so much to become a better person and hero. I'm so happy to have you in my life, and even happier I get to marry you. You're the love of my life." He said, wiping away a quick tear. Then it finally got to the end, you said your "I do"'s and you were officially married. Whenever you heard "you may kiss the bride!" Tenya immediately grabbed you and kissed you.

Katsuki Bakguou-

His favorite memory would have to be bringing home your first child. Whenever you and Katsuki first moved in together, you never imagined getting married and let alone having a child together. You guys were around 26 and 28, Katsuki being older, and were engaged.

Then you found out you were pregnant, Katsuki was excited but scared. With him being a pro hero he knew that it would be a bit tougher, but honestly, the pregnancy was a breeze, well kind of. Of course, there was the morning sickness, the swollen feet, but you wouldn't trade it for anything. 9 months passed and your sweet baby girl was here, she looked like a mixture of you and him but his genes definitely showed up more. She has a lot of his facial features, his classic red eyes, but had your (h/c) hair and nose. The day you brought Hazuki, meaning leaf and moon, home you both were a nervous wreck. "Babe you can move a bit faster than that." You say laughing, your fiance was currently moving like a sloth, trying not to wake her up. He rolls his eyes and starts going towards her nursery. It was decorated with blush pink curtains, a white crib with a cute flower baby blanket hanging on the side, and her name above the crib. You were making some hot tea, to help with your headache and body aches, and you overheard Katsuki.

"This is your crib, your mom worked really hard to paint it. I know it's a boring color, I suggested something close to explosions but we made a comprise." You smile, he was talking to Hazuki. "Daddy loves you so much, and any boy, or girl, or anyone in general, tries to pick on you or mess with you, I'll kick their butts." You giggled and walk in there, he was rocking her slowly back and forth. "Babe? Put her in the crib so she can sleep, you can talk about kicking butt later." You say while smiling, he frowned, "dumbas- I mean dumb butt, were you listening?" You nod and kiss him. "You're already an amazing father Bakugou." He smiled, like one of those really big smiles full of joy and not destruction. "She's going to beat every kid, and she's going to have an amazing quirk!" He exclaims, you quickly shush him, as Hazuki started to coo slightly. "Now come on, let's go get some lunch and sleep while we can." You say whispering, and giggling a bit. He nods and puts her into her crib gently, and follows you into the living room.

Shoto Todoroki-

Shoto's favorite of you two was definitely when you two first met. It was around 5 years ago, you were at a coffee shop ordering a hot cup of coffee. It was winter, there was white, fluffy snow everywhere. "Here you go ma'am, have a good day." The barista says, you smile and nod, taking your coffee.

You pulled out your buzzing phone, it was your mother calling. She found this puppy in her old neighborhood so she's been updating you all about it. You sigh and start typing, when you do, you run into something. You and the man flew back, coffee went everywhere, and you landed on the floor. Before you look up at see him, you're already apologizing. "I'm so sorry! I should of been paying attention!" You exclaim, embarrassed about not paying attention. You can hear a slight chuckle and see him extend his hand out. You grab it and stand up, you look at him and focus on all of his features. He had half white and half red hair, one brown eye and one icy blue eye, and a big scar on his cheek. You frown, "I'm sorry seriously, I should of been paying attention." You say as you look at his shirt, you gasp. His shirt, his poor white shirt got ruined. "No it's fine, I should of stopped and paid attention." He says, you sigh. "Can I at least buy you another shirt? Or pay for dry cleaning?" He laughs, "no, no it's fine. I have others at home." You laugh a bit and put your phone back into your purse.

"Can I treat you to another coffee?" You ask, trying to make it up. He pauses for a second, "you know what? Let's go get a hot tea, I know this tea shop." He doesn't even give you a second to answer and he starts to walking, you quickly following behind him. At that tea shop you both talked about your lives, you found out his name is Shoto Todoroki, you found out more about his quirk, and even found out he was a pro hero! "It was awesome talking to you Shoto," you say while holding out your hand, "hopefully we can hang out more!" You say with a smile. He smiles and shakes your hand. "Here let me give you my number, and then we can text each other at first." He starts writing his number down and gives it to you smiling, "maybe we can have another day like this." You nod, and from that day on you've been close! A week later you guy's actually went on a date to this restaurant downtown. Now five years later, you both are dating and living together in your cozy apartment. You also have a cat named Gizmo!

Denki Kamanari-

You are Denki have been together for around four years or so. His favorite memory has to be how he recently proposed! The day was hot and you were by the ocean. There was kids laughing, sand castles everywhere, and people surfing.

You and Denki were sitting by the ocean on a light blue beach towel. You were wearing a light green, wrap one piece swimsuit. "Babe come on! You have to go surfing at least once in your life!" He exclaims, you roll your eyes and laugh. "Calm down, calm down let me make sure our stuff doesn't get washed away." You say, standing up. "Hey babe, actually can you do something for me?" You turn around, looking at him. "Can you go and buy a cooler? I know I seen some in the gift shop." You looked at him confused, "a cooler?" He nods, "remember ours broke and plus we have drinks to keep cool!" You sigh and grab your beach bag, "fine, I'll be back." You say as you leave for the shop. As you went shopping, Denki set up and went through with his perfect idea. He has been planning on proposing to you, he even has the ring with him. He's been carrying it around for months trying to plan the best proposal ever. Denki wants everything perfect, just for you. He drew out the words "will you marry me (y/n)?" on the beach.

Whenever you got back, you were furious. "Cooler in the shop my ass, all they had was cringey shirts." You mumble to yourself. You saw his yellow hair and frowned, not seeing the words drawn in the sand. Before you took a step closer, Denki yells out "look at the ground!" It's obviously confused but you didn't really question it. "Huh?" You say while looking down, and then that's when you see it. Your eyes fill with tears of joy, and Denki comes up to you. He kneels down on one knee, holding up a ring. "Will you make me the happiest man and marry me (y/n)?" He asks, you nod your head yes. He smiles and puts the ring on your finger, standing up. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He says while you hug him tightly. That was the best day for you two, soon as you could and got to your phone, you told everyone.

You had been working at the pet shelter for a few months now, and you positively loved it. The animals were all so precious and you just wanted to help all of them- so you did. Every day. You accepted overtime frequently, and covered plenty of shifts. It was worth it.

You also helped set up volunteering schedules and go through people wanting the volunteer- the owner of the shelter saw how dedicated you were and how much you truly cared for the animals, so naturally you were in charge of deciding who would be best to take care of them when you couldn't.

There was one guy who came in all the time to volunteer. His name was Bokuto and he came in frequently. At first, you weren't sure about him. He was pretty clumsy. But he quickly got used to everything in the shelter and became an asset to you and the animals. He understood how to read animals emotions, which can be hard. You became thankful for him more and more each day, as on Saturday mornings, which were your earliest shifts at 7 am, he would make it a mission to volunteer and bring you coffee. 7:05 on the dot every Saturday. Once he found out how you take your coffee after coming on early one day, he made a note in his phone so he wouldn't forget.

There was one dog you had grown attached to, Honey, and you would adopt her if you could, but your apartment complex wouldn't allow pets. You heart ached for the 3 year old girl every day people came in and adopted other pets, but not her. She was "too timid" as some people stated, standing at her cage as she cowered to the bed in the back. But she was different with you and Bokuto. She would trot to the door of the cage when either of you would walk in, wagging her tail rather than sticking it between her legs. The love was always reciprocated ten fold.

One Saturday morning, you walked up to the shelter door, unlocked it, flipped the sign to "Open", and went towards the desk. You signed in, sorted through mail, and soon enough, Bokuto walked in, a coffee in his hand.

"Iced peppermint mocha for the lady of the hour!" Bokuto exclaimed, setting it down on the desk, signing in.

"You seriously have GOT to stop buying me coffee-" you started, trying to hand Bokuto money, hoping that he would accept it.

"Y/n! You know its my treat!" Bokuto said, smiling and shoving the money back to you.

"God damn it," You giggled, rubbing your forehead as if he had given you a headache.

You couldn't lie, you had the biggest crush on Bokuto, and spending every Saturday morning with him while doing what you loved was pretty damn nice. He knew how to put a smile on your face no matter what.

You walked back to the dog cages, starting the process of giving them all food and of course giving them extra love.  Once you got back to Honey's cage, the both of you got excited, and you entered her kennel. (Side note- the cages I'm talking about are but like gated areas in a building so they go all the way to the ceiling- you aren't like CRAWLING into a tiny cage-)

"Hey pretty girl!" You exclaimed as she licked your face all over, giving you kisses as if saying 'I never thought you were coming back I missed you all night' as she did every day.

"Y/n, I told you to stop talking to yourself!" Bokuto yelled, walking back to Honey's cage to join you. She had become family to the two of you.

You giggled, "Oh enough you flirt," you slapped his shoulder lightly as he walked into the cage with you.

"I have news about this little lady actually!" Bokuto said, beaming.

"What? What do you know before me?" You asked, genuinely confused.

"Honey is being adopted today!"

Your heart sank, but you were happy as well. Happy she would have a home, but sad that you wouldn't see her anymore. Bokuto saw the way your face dropped, and you looked to Honey, giving her a hug.

"Oh pretty girl, I'm gonna miss you..." You told her, fighting tears.

You and Bokuto walked back to the front of the shelter, giving food to all the cats and other little animals that had been dropped there, like bunnies and such. But the whole time, you couldn't stop thinking about Honey leaving. It tore a hole in your heart. You waited all day for someone to come in with a leash, ready to take Honey to their home.

Once it was time for Bokuto to leave for the day, he grabbed a leash off the wall, making a wave of confusion run through you.

"Whatcha doin with that?" You inquired.

"You'll see! Patience is key, Y/n" Bokuto snickered, walking to the back.

You didn't think anymore of it, staring at the door, waiting for a loving family to walk in. Or would they be horrible? Would they hurt Honey? You hadn't seen any applications for adoption, meaning the owner of the shelter had approved it, so it could be anyone.

Bokuto snapped you out of your overthinking session, walking to the front with Honey on the pink leash he had grabbed from the wall. All of your thoughts about the awful person that could be adopting Honey were wiped away, and you were just confused.

"What are you doing with my pretty girl?" You asked, walking to give her what you thought were the last pets you'd every give her.

"Well. I was gonna ask you if you wanted to hang out today. Like, come shopping with me and come to my place for a bit? You're pretty knowledgeable about this stuff-"

You cut him off, "What are you on about Bo?"

"Oh! Right. Well, I'm adopting a dog today..." He trialed off, motioning to Honey, waiting for you to put the pieces together.

Slowly but surely, you did just that, jumping up from the floor where you were next to Honey.

"NO YOURE NOT. YOURE KIDDING." You said, beaming.

"Yeah! I couldn't stand the thought of someone awful or weird adopting your pretty girl and I know you cant have pets, but I can. So, I took it into my own hands. AND you can come see her any time, as long as you help me shop for her stuff when you get out of work." Bokuto explained.

You jumped into his arms, giving him a huge hug. This was better than any coffee he had ever brought you.

"Holy SHIT I CANNOT BELIEVE- THANK YOU- I JUST-" Your eyes began welling with happy tears, and Bokuto giggled. You then realized how much you really like him. He was so amazing.

"I mean, we could even count this shopping spree a date?" He half told, half asked, scratching the back of his neck in a nervous manner.

"I'd love that, Bo. I really would." You beamed.

"Awesome. Well, I'm gonna go show this pretty girl off to my friends, and then later, I can show another pretty girl off to my friends, hopefully." He said, motioning to you, laughing at his own horrible excuse of a pickup line.

"Maybe you can, you doofus." You laughed with him, waving good bye to the 2 most important beings to you in that moment.

You had never been happier.
