dont tag bible stuff as mythology God isnt mythology
hi hello how are you. most if not all story-based religions are in fact considered mythology by definition including the abrahamic religions. god is in fact abrahamic mythos whether you think he’s real or not. im sorry if that upsets you but im assuming this is regarding the post i just reblogged and i have to say im surprised the part you’re upset about is me tagging biblicalia as mythology and not the entire discussion on who tops in jesus/judas ship discourse

Deranged transfem here. Im planning on making a custom virtual assistant, think siri/cortana, but it doesnt steal your data. Gonna give it my deadname and voice, so I can torture my parents by trapping their son's soul in my phone, and if they deadname me he reaponds so I can just pretend theyre not talking to me.

sorry if this is too strange to send, but I would just like some advice. feel free to delete this if you want, no hard feelings at all ❤️
I have two male OCs that are in a relationship, I wanna post some stuff for them but I always feel guilty because I worry that I am fetishizing mlm relationships? idk how to get rid of the shame when it comes to them especially because one of them deals with internalized homophobia and has a thing for cross dressing? I just don't wanna accidentally hurt people I suppose
My TL;DR advice is: Don't sweat it, write what you want to write for them, and try to break free from the shame.
If you want more details you can read below the cut <3
On a longer note, "fetishizing" mm/ff/etc. was a thing that started a while back, and more than not I've only EVER seen it used as a cover for purity culture bs, and specifically to shame people into staying away from things in a very nasty, very useless style of gate keeping.
Look, in fantasy, you do what you want, and explore what you want, and sometimes you are gonna get it wrong, and if you share it then sometimes you are going to cause other folks discomfort.
That's life baby.
You are not going to be able to tag, summarize, or forewarn perfectly enough to avoid it completely. And you should not have to, frankly.
I personally loathe the whole "Oh you're just fetishizing that" with a deep DEEP passion, because the mindset stopped me from doing any exploring for myself. I was ashamed that the kind of body I wanted, that I felt would be the most comfortable for me, because it was something people were screaming was just festishization of "proper trans people." (which is code for cis-passing)
So frankly, until someone can show me an actual case of it, it's a red-flag word to me, and I don't pay it any mind. It's honestly the only thing that pisses me off more than the whole stupid ass proship/antiship discourse.
And I want to be clear - in Reality there are most CERTAINLY people who have twisted and skewed views of all manner of things. But we're talking about fantasy and writing right now.
Art is for exploring.
And if someone comes in and say "This is X" then just ask them to explain why. You'll either realize they're feeding you a load of shit, OR you'll learn something and be able to adjust things better going forward.
But also, cherry on top of my rant - THAT'S NOT WHAT THAT WORD MEANS.
😡💢
but I'm not mad at you anon, just the crap surrounding it.
Anyway, label it right, and do your best.
And don't let people convince you that drama and tropes are fetishizing. As long as you're not trying to make like, gay guys you come across in real life perform for you, you're not fetishizing.

So I've been making marionette puppets of my neighbors (I'm taking a class) and let me tell you my landlord/building manager was SUPER not prepared to see the wooden version of him (he lives on my floor) when he came in to fix my stove
Anon no offense but I think I would call the police if I found out one of my neighbours was making wooden puppets of me without my knowledge

hbomberguy’s latest video on plagiarism has made me completely rethink literature and writing. I have never once so much as considered intentionally plagiarizing anyone or anything, but I think there’s something more that has come out of this: the names of the people who created the works Somerton (and others) ripped off.
Plagiarism isn’t only bad because it is lazy and disrespectful, it’s bad because it buries the truth. If you can’t find a source, the conversation is over. Somerton’s sources are fairly easy to find by simply searching his plagiarized lines, but that isn’t true in most cases. Most of the time, the line from statement to source is a lot less clear.
Today, I was writing a report on English Ivy, which is an invasive species here in the US. I wanted to know when it was introduced and I at last found a source claiming it was introduced to the Americas “as early as 1727” on a .net website that seems quite reputable (it has multiple major universities credited in its home page), but there is no citation for where this date came from. I dug deeper and found a pamphlet created by a city government in Virginia that made the same claim, only to discover the first source linked in their bibliography. Another website (a botanical garden’s page) gave the same date with the same source hyperlinked. Of course, I have classes to attend and things to do and probably not enough time to follow the lines back to where this 1727 date came from, but if I had not just watched this video, I wouldn’t have given that date a second thought.
Of course, it doesn’t matter in the long run exactly what year hedera helix was introduced to the Americas, but it makes you wonder how many facts have been so vaguely attributed that it becomes completely impossible to figure out where they originated (and further, whether or not they’re true at all).
