AGGGTM TV: Episode 3 Opinions
!!!SPOILERS OF COURSE!!!
Can you tell I'm majorly obsessed???
Opinions: Okay so I liked this episode, I feel like a lot of people were excited for the Calamity party but I personally wasn't too bothered about it in the books, it just wasn't a part of the story that particularly interested me (I enjoy more character focused plots/moments). I felt that it was done well and I thought the setting of an abandoned cave (can a cave be abandoned???) was such a cool unique destination that can only really be shown effectively through a TV/movie medium. I liked Howie's casting although I personally always pictured him as late 20s early 30s to get the full creep effect from his influence over Andie.
Now I want to talk about Ravi, I love Zain as Ravi so much, his casting is one of my top 3. I don't love that he plays Ravi, in my opinion, like a golden retriever boy. I always felt like Ravi from the book was an extremely confident character often putting up almost too hard of a front because of the way people treated him and his family over Andie's killing. So on one hand I don't like his characterization but on the other I love it for the show. I'm trying to do a lot of separating my book opinions and show opinions. I like his show characterization for the romance element, I feel like they really jumped in with the awkward semi flirting and nervousness around each other and I like that for the show.
Pip's Mum is not my favourite in the show I don't know, I feel like she's very strict especially in this episode when she finds out Pip is investigating with Ravi, I enjoyed Leanne's overt shrugging of societal expectations when it came to the Singh's in the books, book Leanne would go out of her way to bring the Singh's in, but it just feels like the warmhearted, maternal, guiding energy she brought to the story in the book is missing from the show.
THE BREAK-IN SCENE. We didn't get the "real men wear floral when trespassing" that we deserved and I feel that we should declare a National Day of morning, DM with date options please. I liked the drugs being hidden in a fake teddy bear because I feel like that's such a teenage girl thing to do, like "yes I'm selling drugs and need a place to hide them, I'm going to google secret hiding places and buy the top rated from Amazon". At least that's something I would do anyway lol. I don't think I have any opinions on Becca right now but I will update you further!!
Sorry for the rant, thank you if you cared enough to read this far! Onto episode 4! <3

You’ve Got the Same Dream as Me (Ch.6)
Hello, kiddos! The idea for this fanfic came to me from a dream (again) I had about a month ago. Тhe main characters were Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill (don't ask me why), but with a light hand they have been replaced (sorry, guys). The main action of the dream took place somewhere in the sands. Аlthough this fanfic will feature Sir Crocodile and our beloved Buggy, the action shifts to the desert. No marines, ships etc. Sorry, not sorry :) The devil fruit's abilities are preserved. Catch the Mummy and Indiana Jones vibes :) I have no idea how many chapters there will be. Different titles and names from the original source material will be used to emphasise the general OP's vibe.
Since English is not my native language, errors may occur. As always, feel free to share your thoughts :)
And thank you to my dear @yujo-nishimura and @laurasoretta for believing in me :)
Description: Catherine, a librarian who is searching for the trail of her sister who went missing on an expedition. Notes in books and diaries lead her to Cairo. There she finds a retailer from an artifact shop who, in exchange for selling her a map and equipment, insists that Catherine take her along. They get into a little (or maybe a big) adventure..
Warnings: One light naughty joke. Adventures and fun are still here. Buggy x OC, Sir Crocodile x OC.
It's hard to create riddles, guys! :) I wanted to make this part bigger, but what was written next already sounds like a separate chapter. Sorry! :) Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it.
Words: 1301
The title is taken from «You've Got the Same Dream as Me» (Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli) (One Piece, Netflix)
Taglist: @gingernut1314 (if someone wants to be added to this list, let me know!)

"Quiet, we’ll wake her up!" Buggy whispered.
"Come on, let’s do it one more time, pl-e-e-ease!"
Rika opened her eyes upon hearing the voices. She stared at the wall of sand and squeezed her eyes shut.
"God, let me turn around and see them dressed!"
She turned around cautiously and opened one eye.
Catherine was sitting on her knees next to Buggy and holding his detached wrist in her hands. Literally. She could barely contain the delight in her voice.
"Good morning, folks", Rika opened both eyes, raised her back and leaned against the sandy wall. "I don’t even want to ask what you are doing and why he’s already wearing fresh makeup.. But.. Can I ask? Have you been doing this nonsense all morning?"
Rika yawned as she watched Buggy quickly grab his wrist and reattach it to the rest of his hand.
"Not really!" Catherine jumped up from her seat and ran to the car. "We've been studying maps and diaries, thank goodness we still have that".
"A-a-a-and did you find anything out?" Rika squinted.
"Actually, yes! Look, there are rocks or something like that. Painted here and here. Buggy says this is the Skypiea Sand Mountains. That's where we need to go.. in theory.. and that's where it looks like we're going.. in theory.. . And there's one thing I can't figure out. North should be there, but the compass points the other way", she pointed her fingers in different directions.
"Let me see", Rika took the compass. "There's one thing I don't understand. Why that man, whatever-his-name-was just handed that thing over. And he smiled in that weird way. He didn't look helpless to me".
"Oh, believe me, honey, he’s not helpless. He used to train me and.. whatever... on Rusukaina… And he.."
"He did what?? Do you know him?" Rika interrupted him, her eyes widened.
"Yeah! Some kind of… And trust me, he can kick anyone's ass", Buggy said, laying back down.
"He can kick anyone’s ass", Catherine repeated his words with a sneer. "Then why didn't your all-powerful grandfather kick that man with the beehive instead of his arm?"
"First of all, it was the hook. Second, I don't know about that, my little pie. Maybe he had some kind of secret plan. Maybe he wanted me to save you so you could admire almighty Buggy the Clown for the rest of your life".
Catherine rolled her eyes.
"Or maybe he knows something. Look at this. There's an inscription in the diary, but it's in ancient Egyptian", said Rika, beckoning them both with her hand, "but I’m not good at it".
"Lemme see", Catherine grabbed the diary. "Give me a second.. Glass.. Key.. Light.. Way.. let the glass be your main key, choose completely the wrong way, when the sun starts shining brightly, you should follow… the northern light?"
"Can you read ancient Egyptian?" Rika asked.
"I can do a lot of things, does this surprise you?" Catherine snapped. "Well, sometimes I spend my evenings at home with books after work at the library".
"God! You have a very boring life, you know that?" Buggy said, putting his hands under his head.
"Shhh, silly clown!" she made a hand gesture for him to shut up. "Look, there's a drawing. I don't understand. Some kind of hexagon".
Buggy widened his eyes, then he stood up abruptly, correcting his ponytail and walked briskly to the car.
"Hey, where are you going?" Catherine got up and ran after him, holding the map and diaries in her hands. "Hey, I'm talking to you!".
She approached Buggy, who was rummaging through the boot of the car.
"Does it look like what you've got painted on there?" he was holding a small box.
"Hell, yeah! Rika, come here, quick. Where did you get this from?" Catherine called Rika over with her hand and put the map on the car.
"Weeeell.... I stole it from Crocodile a couple of months ago", Buggy said, scratching his head.
"What do you mean you stole it and what do you mean a couple of months ago?" Rika asked, coming up behind him.
"Well, I was in these places not too long ago, met our old friend and stole this thing, hoping I might need it someday. Although, to be honest, I've no idea what it is".
"Do you always have such brilliant plans? Do you just go out and steal everything like a fucking kleptomaniac?" Catherine looked at him, squinting her eyes.
"God, when you two are out of each other's lives, I swear I'll celebrate that day with a bottle of whiskey. Can you focus, please?" Rika barked and took the box from Buggy's hands. "Look. The pattern of this thing repeats here, here and here. But here and here these drawings are crossed", she poked at places on the map.
"Maybe it's some kind of key? But a key to what? To treasure?" Catherine shifted her gaze from the box to the map.
"If this thing opens the door to gold, I'll even take some money, take you to a party and then buy you ice cream, Cathie-pie", Buggy wanted to sit on the boot of the car with a proud look, but he missed and fell on the sand.
"You see? This is God's punishment for your long tongue and stupid jokes", said Catherine mockingly.
"Oh, baby! Believe me, you'd be happy to have my tongue between yo.,.", he didn't have time to finish his sentence as Catherine kicked him in the leg, "Ouch! Hey! Fuck.."
"You two! Shut up! And so... We've got a map, a compass, notes, and apparently the key. Not bad. I think", Rika put the box back in the boot and looked at the compass she held in her hand.
"This doesn't make any sense. And the lines in the diary don't make sense either. Let the glass be your main key, choose completely the wrong way, when the sun starts shining brightly, you should follow the the northern light. What does the northern light have to do with it? Where does the northern light come from in the desert? And what does it have to do with the wrong way?" Catherine flailed her arms and flopped down next to Buggy and laid her head on his shoulder.
Rika sat down in front of them and stared intently at the compass.
"I don't know, my friend, I don't know", she raised the compass to eye level. "Wait, look!"
Buggy and Catherine crawled up to her.
"Do you see?" Rika asked in surprise.
"I see nothing!" Buggy muttered under his breath.
"Look at that!"
All three of them put their faces to the compass and squinted at each other.
"It's impossible!" Catherine whispered this.
They saw a green-orange beam inside the compass.
"Maybe I’ll say something stupid now.. But.. If it's the compass, it should point the way, right?" Buggy asked in a clarifying tone. "So, what if you point it at the map?".
All three of them got to their feet. The green-orange coloured sunbeam falling on the glass of the compass fell on the map, pointing the way.
"Сatherine, what was that you said about going back and north? According to the compass, we have to go to some other north, but it's not geographical", Rika didn't take her eyes off the beam.
"When the sun starts shining brightly", Catherine repeated quietly.
"Now the sun is at its zenith. And the northern lights are the colour of this beam, I think", Rika kept her gaze on the compass. "You see It's clearly drawn a path for us to follow. And look at the diary. Theoretically, the coordinates there should match the coordinates on the map. At least I think so", Rika whispered quietly.
"Ladies, we've got a course!"

Jaune is a terrible character
I like him but he had a terrible development.
Now that RT has closed and the question remains who will want to take the risk, stay with Rwby and still have to pay Warner.
Warner is in bad legs, full of debts to pay.
It was revealed by a profile that Rwby is not making a profit unfortunately he didn't give data which would be very important but said that volume 9 had no money to be made and that it was a loan... Well the studio closed.
I believe it has already happened that good studios have closed but... are usually closed because of greed or "Woker"
Japan studios Play Station
About Jaune, he has a lot of problems.
His past is non-existent, we will not have any information about his parents or your other sisters.
He forged documents to get into Beacon, but there's a big problem with this story called Glynda, she would have noticed something wrong with it.
The worst part is that we don't know how big the Arc family was. Why are the only known family members Saphron, who has nothing to show, and Jaune.
V4 and V5 showed almost everyone's family.
It showed Ren's family who died and Nora's mother who died.
There was also "Pyrrha's mother"
But we didn't have a picture of his family.
That drawing showing him and his sisters doesn't count.
He is taking too long to evolve and I still don't see reason for him to go to Mistral and Atlas.
Why did he lose trust in Ozpin, Lion betrayed his kingdom and sold the hunters' location. Of the 4 Headmaster, Ozpin is carefree and paranoid, Lion is a coward, James he went crazy but still wanted to save the world, Teodoro... I don't know much about.
If it weren't for him, Weiss would have died, but I still don't see a reason for him to go, he's terrible in battle. It's still bad but he's not terrible.
I find it incredible that his parents never came after him.
IT'S YOUR SON WHO IS MISSING! They probably knew where he was.
V9 already been "confirmed" that has not been paid. They took out a loan to make the V9 and apparently they didn't pay it.
I wish, I had the data, but I don't. It was the same thing Sony did with the sales figures for Marvel Spider-Man Miles Morales, they only came because of a leak.
Proving that Peter Parker sells more than Miles.
Rusted Knight... The idea is cool, I read a little of the book and at the end and the idea is cool.
A warrior trapped in his own armor, obsessed with the desire to be a knight.
As I said, the idea is good but... Excursion is bad.
None of my experiences were surpassed, in fact they were all frustrated. As much as I liked the idea of an older Jaune, I wish he was more serious, even angrier. He looks like an idiot and a crying baby.
I want the Rusted Knight and Jaune were two separate figures.
Rusted Knight appeared because Jaune's armor was cursed and he couldn't take it off and he had no control over his body and his conscience got stuck in his own head.
In the final battle, he would free himself with the help of Team WBY and show his berserker side.
It would be a big change to the character.
But unfortunately it didn't happen.
About revenge against Cinder.
The only ones who came close to killing her were Jaune and Winter.
Those damn silver eyes don't help, and Cinder has a damn Grimm arm that makes her suffer a lot.
I just hope whoever buys RWBY develops more other characters.
Sun, Velvet, Glynda, Tai Yang, fuck even Cardin. They have the potential to be good characters.
Avatar Last Airbender. The episode The Storm develops Aang and Zuko at the same time but from a completely different point of view. Aang tells his past to Karata and Iroh reveals Zuko's past to his soldiers who understands Zuko's point of view.
And famous episode Zuko alone.
No, because the work is called RWBY, the world revolves around them.
Just take the Baki work, in many Baki sagas secondary characters get a lot of prominence. Sumo Saga Oliva has been humiliatingly defeated and is back for revenge.
Jack Hanma has his own saga in Baki Rahen. Where the protagonist of the work is called Baki Hanma.
It is ridiculous to say that just because a work or series has the name of the protagonist, it must focus only on the protagonist.
I'll wait for what happened with RWBY and I had the V10, I am going to pretend madness and pretend that the V10 never happened like the remake of Avatar the legend of Aang.

In my opinion SJM’s writing has declined because of the length of time between books. She used to pump out one book per series each year, equaling 2 books a year. She has said her writing style is not outling, she knows the big points of what will happen but she likes to go on the journey with the characters, and she also writes chronologically and won’t skip ahead to write other scenes. IMO this worked when she was writing quickly because she occupied the same headspace and could smoothly go from one book onto the next. Now that she’s averaging 1-2 years between books (4, in ACOTAR’s case) I think each book feels sort of off and almost OOC. Notice how ACOFAS was the last book she published on that quick timeline, and that was the last book that didn’t have these flaws IMO. She writes based on where she is and how she’s feeling in her current life, so each book will have a different feel to it rather than continuous. She drops plotlines and characters because she loses interest in them as she goes, IMO. I’m not blaming her for the long wait times, I know her life is different now and she needs to do what she needs to do for her personal life. I just think she should consider with her editor how to improve going forward.
Yes, that could be. I have seen a significant decline in her last 3 books. Frankly, ACOSF, HOSAB and HOFAS are just not very good. They are disjointed, they lack the emotional impact that her previous books had, multiple throw away storylines, and extremely lucklustre romances. Even mentally, she keeps lurching from world to world, without keeping them separate in her head, which results in hilariously awkward things such as Cassian knowing about 'lactic acid' and Nesta using the expression 'kill switch'. it's just messy, like the unimpressive romances that she keeps writing. She assassinated Nessian in ACOSF, which was one of her most compelling and interesting pairings back in ACOMAF and ACOWAR. She rushed through Day and Night, without building anything meaningful between them. Quinlar, after CC1 was a mess as well.
I don't know. Between having children, covid and 10 moves back and forth across America, the woman needs to sit down and consider what she wants to do. She clearly cannot write multiple series at the same time. She also needs a goddamn editor, who will tell her, hey Sarah, that's not what you said here. Hey Sarah, this is a continuity error. Hey Sarah, you've used the same expression 74 times in the past 15 pages. Hey Sarah, you've dropped 6 storylines--don't you think it's wasteful? Are you just writing for word count? Hey Sarah, perhaps concentrate on writing fewer characters, but writing them well.
I know she sells like crazy, but honestly, I've been less than impressed with her latest offerings.
I wish I could feel the sense of excitement and overwhelming love that I felt when I was reading ACOTAR for the first time. Where I was sucked into the story and didn't want to let go.

I was watching Springtrap and Deliah for the first time and I'm not too deep into it yet but there's certainly some things that I don't like at all as in they feel too... dumb, others that I feel they are on point, even more than other media out there. It's a mix bag.
But I'm on the part where Springs is talking about his motives with Deliah, and although I have some mixed thoughts on it got me thinking of videogame/canon Springtrap motives.
Of course we're never supposed to know the actual motives (until the books came and say that it was because he's looking for immortality or whatever weird remnant mad scientist retcon thing happened there), that's left to interpretation and I wouldn't like it any other way because it gives me opportunity to think of why and make that my own canon.
I don't read the books, I don't care much about them other than morbid curiosity in the same way one would like to hear the rumors of a train wreck as it's happening, I'm sure they are good on their own. And I have a different approach to the timeline/s of the game and what is canon. So let me explain that first.
My understanding and how I take the story is that there's by now three different canons and they are all valid. Three different timelines or alternate universes because of how the game's stories were planed and how they have been retconed. So we have the purple guy timeline universe, that goes from FNAF 1 to 3. Is the security guard and phone guy and possessed animatronics. FNAF 4 is in limbo between purple guy era and Afton era. Then there's another alternate universe that is the Afton era, that goes not from sister location onwards but from FNAF 1 again all the way to pizzeria simulator because it's the first retcon, which means it recontextualizes what happens in the first games, so it should be considered separate because that doesn't mean the first ones didn't happen since the story was finished and complete at the time of FNAF 3, it just means it's another story with similar events and characters, it's an alternate reality where mad scientist and roboticist Afton is the unknown killer and Mike is the security guard and all the drama with the Emilys. And then there's Glitchtrap/mimic era, which is another another retcon the moment they put into question the validity of all previous games, it goes again from FNAF 1 to current content because it recontextualizes everything for the purpose of a new story. So for my own sanity and so I can keep enjoying all stories without having to try to make sense of them as if they are a single continuity that should make sense, I'm just treating them differently, each with their own timelines and canons and whatever. That way you don't have to try to sell me that everything needs to make perfect sense with everything and that all of it it's an epic saga with a plan and genius storytelling or anything, Scott... I don't want another Warcraft "The jailer was behind it all" and "it's the awaited epic conclusion of the 20 year long story" when it's clearly not because nothing was planned like that.... But whatever, tangent.
So, I'm going to be referring to the purple guy era here. The Purple guy universe where he was just an unknown serial killer and the supernatural is tone is just that, spirit and animatronics coming to life because they are possessed. OG FNAF.
So in this, my interpretation for why Purple guy was going around killing kids specifically is maybe because he just hates kids. Not as in "oh they are so annoying", more in like what kids are supposed to represent. It's a very dark mindset to get into but maybe he just despised to see them happy and to see their innocence. Maybe he was envious of it. Or maybe he just couldn't comprehend it. Kinda like cute-aggression (yes, it's an actual term) but to the extreme, which refers to someone seeing something so so overwhelmingly cute their mind can't comprehend it, gets overloaded and to try to remedy what's happening it resorts to hurt it or destroy it, or twist it in some way to go back to something more familiar and manageable, comprehensible and logical. And it apparently is a phenomenon that some people with a past of abuse have. So, I don't know what could have been the motive for why he ends up hating kids. Maybe the only way he comprehends it is to destroy it because he himself didn't had that as a child or in life so it doesn't compute. Maybe he doesn't hate them, maybe he even envies them or admires them, but it's the only way he can comprehend it and tolerate actually seeing it. Who knows, it's something really twisted and wrong of course because he's a serial killer, but that's why I think FNAF 3 was so impactful and cool, because we defend ourselves from this guy, just one animatronic, and in the end we know he gets the same fate as his victims, and then dies finally (until he didn't) and the souls are put to rest finally. Deliah and Springtrap is a different interpretation for why. Everyone has their own theories.
This subject is dark so I'll leave at that. Will keep watching the videos and see where the story goes, which I think is set in that same Purple guy era.

In lieu of recent events and the GMsDay discount on Grimdark & Dangerous, I'd like to share what the revise stretch goals for the book are in a little more detail.
To be clear, you can follow the link above and buy the core Grimdark & Dangerous content now. These stretch goals are based on how many copies (total) of the book sell, and all of the bonus content gets added on to previous purchases and will be in the download for all future ones once their goals are met.
+ 50 The Living Grimoire Expansion. A small book that adds on an additional class that was cut from the main book, along with ephemera such as several subclasses and feats and backgrounds.
+ 100 Pay what you want editions of core g&d content (these are separate files, very slimmed down and divided into chunks, but will allow people to use the primary content of the books without having to pay for the whole thing).
+ 150 Grimdark & Darker. The rest of the cutting room floor content that didn't make it into the core G&D book.
+ 250 Player Peripherals. I will add on a custom printable character sheet and DM screen centered around mechanics introduced in the core and peripheral books.
+ 500 Grimdark Bestiary. I was originally going to have the bestiary be part of the core G&D book but it was taking ages to get through the actual monster stat block writing (because it takes me longer than any other type of content). But I did have a good chunk of it done before it got cut. So this book would include those co pleated and mostly completed stat blocks, as well as new ones that have arisen as natural consequences of the content in the books.
+ 1000 Physical copies. This is a pipe dream for me right now, but not only would reaching this goal allow me to make a physical print edition of the book, but I'd be making a physical edition that has all 4 books combined. Also a digital edition that has the content from all 4 books combined.
If you have a question about any of these goals, don't be afraid to shoot me an ask.
I'm very grateful to everyone that has already purchased a copy. And I'm telling you right now, once we hit that first stretch goal, things are gonna be wild.

Summer Reading/Writing/Arting Tag
Tagged by @late-nite-scholar to complete this "get to know the author" tag game. Thank you~!
Tagging: @wayfaring-rune, @celamity, @boxingcleverrr, @mxphanes
1) Describe one creative WIP project you’re planning to work on over the summer.
Just one? Well shit, that's tough. I have so many ideas percolating in my noodle, both in terms of writing and art.
Let's see...aside from my current ongoing march of ESO fic which is very likely to continue through the rest of the year, I do have a cyberpunk novel I've been wanting to continue working on. It's currently titled Ars Voltaica, and it's set in Detroit about a hundred years from now. It's about a young woman fresh out of college who gets into a corporate sponsored debt relief program in which she has to sign a contract to work in the data entry department of said corporation for five years and also live entirely on their campus. While she's there, she becomes privy to some information she shouldn't know and oops! suddenly she has to flee for her life. And that's just the beginning! There's a lot of stuff to do with androids in there. One of the central characters, the personal assistant of the corporate boss, is an android, and he's got wild shit going on with him. A lot of my motivation for this story comes out of me being mightily salty about how bad Detroit: Become Human is lol.
Anyway! In terms of art, the main thing on the docket is doing the final player character portrait for my DnD group. He's a Fallen Aasimar Conquest Paladin who's getting his holy power from Bane but doesn't realize it yet. He's played by my friend Jim.
2) Rec a book!
Aw shit I'm not the reader I used to be, and unfortunately I've disliked more of the books I've read lately than I've liked. I can always go back to reccing the Starlight & Shadows trilogy by Elaine Cunningham for the DnD novel inclined who want to read about a drow other than Drizzt or Jarlaxle who is also a lady. The story actually explains why drow magic works on the surface when it didn't used to. Also a good series if you're a fan of fancy wizard/scruffy barbarian romances.
3) Rec a fic! (outside your character tag)
Once again, I'm not the reader I used to be, but every now and again, when I'm thinking about my love for Perc'ahlia from Campaign 1 of Critical Role, I remember AFK: a critrole MMO AU and how fucking good it was, both in concept and execution. The premise is that the characters are living in the modern world and all know each other through playing an MMO together.
4) Rec music!
Kill the Alarm's album Fire Away is nothing but bangers (especially the title song) and tastes of distilled 2008 to me. Been listening to those songs for a looooong time.
Eva Under Fire's cover of Separate Ways fucking slaps and it's been in heavy rotation lately.
5) Share one piece of advice!
Let me share a writing secret from your friendly neighbourhood linguist: in fiction, grammar is your bitch, and anyone who tells you different is trying to sell something. Obviously it's good to know grammar rules, and a certain amount of obeying those rules is necessary for coherent and clear communication, but everything after that is fair game. You can have your characters speak in run-on sentences, because people do that all the time in real life, and it doesn't even always sound awkward. You. Can. Put. Periods. In. Improper. Places. You know why? Because bending and breaking the rules can convey something that following the rules can't. Think of the way people convey tone and cadence in their posts online or in texts. You can totally do some of those tricks in your writing to get the vibe you want, especially in dialogue.
Related: "don't split your infinitives" and "never end a sentence with a preposition" are fake rules literally made up by some asshole scholars during the Renaissance because they thought English needed to be more like Latin. Don't pay any mind to that shit. You can quote me on that.

Books read in May 2024
-Dead Men’s Boots by Mike Carey started May 4, 2024 and finished May 8, 2024 -4/5 stars. I already talked about this book in a separate post. I hope to read more of Mike Carey's books.
-Vampire Weekend by Mike Chen started May 8, 2024 and finished May 10, 2024 -4/5 stars. It's refreshing to read a vampire book and the vampires aren't ridiculously horny or used that way. Vampires just want to live their lives. They don't even drink from humans in this book which is nice. Main character just wants to be in a band. Distant family shows up and interferes with that. I think it's rather interesting that I got that the grandpa who showed up with his grandson was her brother before the main character did.
-The Sleepless by Victor Manibo started May 10, 2024 and finished May 15, 2024 - 5/5 stars. What happens when people don't need to sleep? Capitalism takes that and messes with it. Oh? People don't need to sleep then they can work more jobs. Oh? People who are sleepless can't form new memories? Why not build technology around that and sell it to them for lots and lots of money? Main character ends up in jail at the end and the corporations aren't taken down. It feels very realistic but at least there's some kind of hope as the two characters he worked with send him their location. Main character and author where queer men of color and sometimes you need to read that.
-Bluebird by Ciel Pierlot started May 15, 2024 and finished May 19, 2024- 4/5 stars. 3 factions constantly at war. Woman trying to help others who were like her. Spaceship adventures are always good. Reading about queer women and one of them is a librarian is good too. The chapters sometimes alternate and I was right that it was describing the life of a character before she met the main character.
-Prime Deceptions by Valerie Valdes started May 20, 2024 and finished May 23, 2024 - 5/5 stars. I loved this book. Captain Eva Innocente's life is such so interesting. Didn't care for the bot fighting but that didn't last too long. We get more of her backstory in this book which is interesting. I love the physic and intelligent cats in their ship. I love the abilities the locals have on the planet they were on. I say this book is about 30 or so pages too long but I guess they had to set up things for the third book somehow.
-Fault Tolerance by Valerie Valdes started May 24, 2024 and finished May 27, 2024 - 4/5 stars. A lot of robots in this book. I don't really care for robots or robots fighting in general. It was tolerable because the robots just reminded me of Transformers. It's amazing that Captain Eva Innocente and company defeated the evil with a robot that looked like a giant cat.
-Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree started May 27, 2024 and finished May 29, 2024- 4/5 stars. After reading 3 science fiction books that dealt with spaceship adventures it was nice to read something different. This was a very cozy read. The descriptions of the pastries sounded very good. I liked that there was a budding relationship between Viv and Tandri. I think I might check out the other book as well.
-Angelmaker by Nick Harkaway started May 29, 2024- haven't read much of this book yet. It has a very interesting premise and I'm hoping it lives up to the book jacket summary.
Book I DNF'd
Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delany- It had an interesting premise. I can appreciate that it was written in the 70s and it had a bisexual main character. There were interesting things going on in this weird ass town but I simply could not read further. I felt like I was wasting my time. Also the fact that the main character and his lover were doing stuff with a 15 year old was disturbing to no end. Main character had no qualms about it. He didn't seem to have any kind of qualms about who he hang out with. One of the most interesting things about him was that he lost time. Whole days went by and he thought it was merely hours. That was interesting but not enough to keep me reading. This book was over 500 pages.

First watch: 10 Years Ticket episodes 5-8
Episode 1-4 notes
Ohm's performance as becomes more watchable as he becomes more complex as a character. Not that he wasn't watchable before, but there's more moderation of Phukhao's over the top behavior. On the other hand, Zo is becoming wilder (View Benyapa is a fine actor - check out her performance as 55 turned 15 teacher Jarunee in 55:15 Never Too Late - it's breathtaking).
But we don't learn a lot about what is really happening, only get suspicions. And a sense of increasing danger to Kongkwan's family as they get entwined with the criminal gang.
I want to compliment the series on having complex villains. While dealing drugs and being willing to sell them to students, Off's character Plu is protective of his friends and caring of his grandparents who have been raising him in place of his parents. Sor has decided not to sell to students, and gives friendly advice to Plu. Piak, while definitely in the evil category, still has some affection for his past friendship with the four families and warns Kongkwan's mother that she is getting into a potentially dangerous situation. He's apparently also been financially supporting Kongkwan's family, but it remains to be seen whether that's out of caring, guilt, or self-interest.
Not all villains come across as complex. The inspector seems to be pure evil. It remains to be seen whether the crime boss has a good side.
The series, while not queer-themed, does have a QL subplot in that Phukhao's mother Sai was apparently in a same-sex relationship with a woman named Pin before Sai married Santi. Pin has re-appeared and is interested in renewing her relationship with Sai. We'll see whether and how much this develops as the series continues. We have eight more episodes, so there's a definite chance of PinSai now that Santi and Sai are (unofficially) separated.
There's a book that figures in the plot. As I read it, Pin gifted the book to Sai, then Mai came into possession and intended to give it to Luk. Sai found it in Mai's bike, and Phukhao took it to the prison when confronting Luk because of her interest in the book.
It appears the title of the book, which is in beautiful Thai calligraphy that I could never hope to read even if I ever learn the Thai writing system, is also the Thai title of the series, which uses the same calligraphy.
Damn Ohm can make his eyes big!
Avoiding spoilers? Skip to episodes 9-12
Spoilers follow
Kongkwan's father Somkiat gets a job with a garage where the owner is involved with the drug ring. And Kongkwan's mother Veena winds up as housekeeper for the ring leader.
Movie theater owner Piak tries to warn Veena off, but she accuses him of being the one who killed Phukhao's older brother Mai and leaving her daughter Luk to take the blame.
Why do characters do this? If you suspect someone did something criminal, why would you personally confront them about it? This is something that drives me crazy about crime series. But I suspect we will continue to be subjected to this sort of writing forever.
Fortunately, at least for now, Piak merely scolds her to never make that accusation again. My suspicion is that Piak didn't do it, but knows who did. (And my suspicion lies with Sor as the culprit. I've seen a commenter suspect the police inspector, and that's a reasonable guess as well.) Certainly, the inspector and the crime boss know.
But my guess is that Somkiat and Veena are in peril.
Phukhao kidnaps Kongkwan and takes her to the prison where her sister Luk is held so Phukhao can confront Luk. Phukhao demands that Luk tell him why she killed Phukhao's brother Mai. Of course, she didn't kill Mai, so there's no way for her to answer that question. What she answers must have seemed surreal to Phukhao. I as viewer know she didn't do it, so what she says made total sense to me, but to Phukhao it must have been the babbling of a madwoman. It was wild to watch this scene and have the two views of it, as viewer and as Phukhao, at the same time and it's a thrilling experience. (We also see a bit more dynamics in Ohm's acting here, from the over the top I've mentioned previously to a quiet desperation.) My props to Khun Fon on this scene.
And the found family of the four families plus Piak continues to fragment as Phukhao and Plu disown each other as brothers because Phukhao won't promise not to harm Kongkwan and Plu won't promise to stay away from her.
But at least things are starting to thaw for Phukhao towards Kongkwan.

When the books are even better: "Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki"
A few days I posted an article claiming the anime series for Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki was great. It covers the first three volumes of the light novel series. I was itching to go on. So I checked out the books - after finally finding a store willing to sell them to me digitally. (Capitalism these days is broken. I give you money, you give me convenience. Is that so hard? Sheesh.)
So I breezed through volumes 4-7 since day before yesterday.
The writing is that good. The characters are richer. It had me hooked the whole time. I didn't even sleep that well...
Some spoilers will be necessary, but I'll try not to give everything away. You really should read these books.
What an anime can't transport
One of the funniest things in the books is how Tomozaki describes Kukuchi-san, the girl he started meeting and bonding over her interest in books and writing. Meeting her seems to be an outright spiritual experience for him. It's a bit much, but somehow it endeared me a lot. How could you possible put that scene-setting into an anime?
You can't.
Someone on reddit had asked why fans of the books were so much more emphatic about Fuuta Kukuchi than people who only knew the anime. It's because her character is hard to transport.
And yes. She's shy. She hides her rich inner life. I find such female characters endlessly enthralling and empathize with them. I regret nothing.
But there's more to Kikuchi-san. She's a fully defined person - a person with a place she starts from, a character arc she struggles with, somebody who interacts with others to find her own place in life and not simply by somebody's side. The way her relationship with Tomozaki evolves in Volume 7 is beautiful and deep and works on several levels, including the novel and play she is writing. Given the many layers the story already has, this is nothing but astounding.
She's Tomozaki's guide and Tomozaki is hers. This is the second such dynamic he finds himself in after Hinami, his "game of life" sensei.
Challenging if you feel it
At the end of of Volume 7 I felt a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for how the story evolved and climaxed. Every character in it was needed. Whether it's Hinami, Kikuchi, Tomozaki, or Mimimi - they all have my heart.
It was a dynamic where someone I treasured was going to be hurt, and I was bracing myself.
I was kind of anxious for that - how the heightened romantic situation would resolve. I was bracing myself for impact, knowing how badly I took such a choice in The Quintessential Quintuplets. Because again I love all of them!
But this is what separates the true masters from the rest. The situation honored everybody's feelings. And it was fair to all. The resolution of the romantic tension built over Volumes 6 and 7 wasn't random, and the characters impacted weren't clueless. And the stakes also hadn't been put so terribly high, either.
I will not spoil it, but these two volumes together tell a fascinating story with a wonderful resolution, rewarding ups and downs, and a lot of heart and soul.
It's funny that this series wasn't that romantic to begin with - but when it revved up its soul train, it turned it up to 11. How's that for an eclectic metaphor?
Characters and truths
What also was very rewarding - and a tad challenging - were all the truth bombs characters dropped in the author's stead. Yuuki Yaku seems to have a lot to say about what matters in life. But even more about the impact low self esteem and self-denigration has on oneself and on others. You may find it profound or not. But it hit home.
A lot of characters get love in these stories. If you want to learn more about Tama-Hanabi, be prepared to see her at the center of her own volume. If you never get enough of the lively Mimimi, brace yourself for more contrast. If you want to see behind Hinami's curtains a bit more, you'll be teased mercilessly. And if Mizusawa is not speaking deep truth, he's the slick charmer he ever was. Heck, even Nakamura lets slip once in a while.
What I wasn't prepared for was how much I would also love puppy-dumb dude-bro Takei. Never change. (He gets that a lot.)
The series has several strengths. It grows its cast and its cast grows. As Tomozaki "levels up," so does his impact on the world around him. But more importantly - he's not just getting somewhere. In the process he finds himself - something Hinami can obviously not teach him. The story takes on soul after initially being bathed in purely mental brilliance. And it manages to transport complex social situations and a lot of interactions.
I have to read some more. Just a bit.

Double edged scalpel ch.6
ch.1 ch.2 ch.3 ch.4 ch.5
Summary: It's backstory time!
Mandatory warning since this is not a usual thing on my blog so I think a separate warning would be useful, there will be talk of past abuse and alcohol abuse.
----
"Wakey wakey," came the gruff voice from just outside her bedroom door.
It was slightly muffled but more than enough to make her jolt awake, muscle memory taking over the remnants of sleep. She only had one minute to be out the door. It was more than enough though, her routine perfected over years. Get out of bed. Put socks on. Get shoes. Grab the duffel bag. She slept dressed anyways, ready to go at any time.
Or not?
Where were her clothes?
Nevermind that she had time to put something on. Just grab a shirt and pants from the dresser.
Hurried steps took her over the plush carpet. Wasn't it supposed to be a solid grey? Had her mother swapped it for one of their fancier rugs?
That didn't matter right now. Clothes. She needed clothes. When she got to her dresser she stood there, frowning at the bookshelf that now took its place. She didn't even remember acquiring the tomes in front of her, most of them old and with unfamiliar trinkets surrounding them. That's not how her bedroom was arranged. Why wasn't anything in its place? Was Alex playing a prank on her? No, he wouldn't do that.
Time was almost up and she needed some goddamn clothes and to get out and her head was starting to spin-
"Nicole?"
Her eyes snapped back to the bed she had so hastily vacated, Cassandra looking at her concerned.
From the room's entrance came another familiar voice. Bela. "I only wanted to let you know that Daniela wants to go for a hunt tomorrow." Her eyes were averted and as soon as the words left her lips, she turned and shut the door behind her, not waiting for an answer from her sister.
Confusion mixed in with dizziness, but Nicole let out a quiet oh when she fully realized where she was. Cassandra's bedroom. They came here last night and fell asleep. And she was only wearing underwear.
She went to sit on the edge of the bed, head resting in her hands to try alleviate the fog in her brain. She probably looked like hell, but that was the least of her concerns right now.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Came the uncharacteristically soft voice of Cassandra, who had moved from her spot under the blankets and was gently rubbing her back.
"Uh, nothing," Nicole replied, as if she didn't look ready to puke.
Cassandra only pursed her lips and frowned. "You looked like you simultaneously saw a ghost and were ready to fight a ghost."
She swallowed thickly and forced out a laugh. "Oh are we at "tragic backstory" relationship level now?" It was at best a pathetic attempt to change the subject and at worst annoying.
When she looked back at the brunette she was still frowning, but not in annoyance. Her golden eyes sparked with concern, scrutinizing the redhead's face and body language for any clue as to what was wrong. It sent a pang of guilt through Nicole's chest. She took a deep breath and leaned back into Cassandra's touch, trying to collect her thoughts. Where does one even begin to explain this whole mess?
"Have you ever wondered why I came here? To the village?"
"...Not really," she admitted.
Nicole took another deep breath, pulling the words from her mouth as if she were pulling out teeth with pliers.
"My dad, he…he had a bit of a weird business. We never knew the details of it, he never told any of us and we knew better than to snoop, but I do know it had something to do with drugs and was highly illegal."
Staying in one place proved itself a pesky little task, so Nicole stood up and started to collect her clothes from the floor and started dressing. Cassandra instead remained in the same spot, listening intently.
"With a job like that you make enemies by default. And that made him paranoid beyond belief. When me and Alex, my older brother, were children it wasn't that bad. Worst thing he would do was lock our bedroom doors and refuse to let us attend public school."
She narrowed her eyes at a wall, still not wanting to meet Cassandra's gaze. Now that she said it out loud, not that bad sounded pretty bad too. Whatever.
"It started going downhill when I was around…" She pursed her lips, trying to make her brain put together some semblance of a timeline. "Twelve. Yeah twelve. He came bursting into our bedrooms at 2 a.m. saying that someone with a gun had gotten into our house and wanted to kill us. We were mortified. I remember my mom holding me and Alex in the backseat crying while my dad drove us to his secluded cabin in the woods."
"And that became a habit of his. He'd have us do these drills every once in a while and then scream at us if we didn't do everything in under a minute."
"That's so fucking stupid," Cassandra spat, golden eyes gleaming with anger.
Nicole started pacing back and forth, desperate for a distraction. "Oh I know. And after a few years of this I made sure to tell him exactly how much I thought it was bullshit."
Finally coming to terms with the lack of something to do while she talked, Nicole gave up and went back to the bed. She sat down by Cassandra's side, though still avoiding her eyes.
"Do you know what getting punched in the face feels like?"
Cassandra's expression contorted into a disgusted grimace. With the hand not on Nicole's back rubbing comforting circles, she dug talons into the soft fabric of a blanket. She didn't really have an answer because frankly she didn't know. Her body reacted very differently to physical harm and the few that could hurt her wouldn't go for a stupid punch to the face. Nicole kept on talking though, not really looking for an answer.
"That shut me up for a bit. Key word a bit. When he woke me up on the night before an important test I was pissed. I just thought fuck it and went upstairs to the library. It took him around twenty minutes to find me and when he did… Well, I regretted some life choices."
"I was so done with being there in that house. Though thankfully my parents went on a business trip the next day and Alex was at a friend's for the weekend. I had the whole house to myself and decided to grab one of my mom's vintage wines and just spend the evening on the couch drinking. And that's how I became an alcoholic at the ripe old age of fifteen." She let out a humorless chuckle at the end.
That day was a blur in her mind. The only thing that she vividly remembered was Alex coming home early and finding her blackout drunk on the couch. At the end of the day though, they were both in the same boat. He just grabbed the bottle from her and started to sip away at the remaining wine. Laughing at each other's hangover the next day was the most fun they'd had in ages so it became a habit for the both of them. Every once in a while they'd go into the wine cellar, pick out a bottle and then go drink it in the attic while they pretended their problems didn't exist. It continued well into their college years. Nicole was barely able to recall doing anything during her years in med school that wasn't being drunk or studying.
She groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. That's not where she meant to go with the story. Cassandra placing a gentle kiss on her shoulder brought her enough comfort to try and wrap it up.
"I guess in a sick ironic way my dad was right in the end though," she subconsciously shifted closer to the brunette and she wasted no time in loosely wrapping her arms around Nicole's waist.
"I was three weeks away from completing my residency when I came home from the lab, only to find my mom in a puddle of blood on the living room floor. My brother was in a similar state in his bedroom. My dad was nowhere to be found but I didn't care. It was his fault," she swallowed the lump in her throat and felt tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"I just grabbed my documents and a duffle bag with some clothes and ran. Booked the first flight to Romania to come stay at my grandparents'. Oh except they know what my dad is all about! Told me I had an hour to get some rest and be out of their house as they didn't want any trouble with my dad's people."
"I did grab a fuck ton of my dad's cash though so at least hotels weren't an issue," her words were coming out chocked, occasionally interrupted by sniffles. She rapidly whipped a hand across her face. "Have you ever been to Braşov? Old part of the city is quite lovely."
Cassandra grimaced. She didn't want to interrupt, but seeing Nicole in such a state made something in her unbeating heart ache. She gently wiped the trail of tears from her cheeks and placed a kiss on her temple from where she was sitting half behind Nicole. Then, with the softest voice she could muster, "And how did you meet Duke?"
Nicole's eyes widened slightly, apparently having forgotten that detail.
"Oh I stumbled upon his shop one day. I thought he was selling some neat stuff and he was nice so I kept coming back. One thing led to another and when I found out about a place off the map where no one gets in or out without help I thought it would be the perfect place to hide from the people trying to put a bullet through my head." Then she winced slightly. "I was also mildly tipsy when I made that decision."
Cassandra looked a little incredulous. "And he just brought you here?"
"I paid him."
Cassandra's expression turned to what could only be described as disappointed but not surprised. Then her attention went back on the redhead, glossy eyes fixated on the floor. To say she sucked at comforting others was an understatement. Daniela was far more well versed in the art of making others not feel miserable but she was nothing if not stubborn enough to try.
"Listen," she shifted to sit in front of her, hand placed gently on a wet cheek. "If anyone ever dares come near you with the intention of harming you, I'll make them regret every life choice that led them there. You're safe here." She may not be great with her words, but if Cassandra excelled in anything, it was keeping her loved ones safe. Loved one huh.
Nicole leaned into her touch, finally meeting Cassandra's eyes. There was a gentle kind of determination in her golden gaze, accompanied by a fiery rage that, for once in her life, brought comfort as opposed to terror. It came with the knowledge that it wasn't directed at her but at whoever may want to harm her.
She didn't doubt her words. Instead she shifted closer, face nuzzled in the crook of Cassandra's neck and, barely above a whisper, said: "Thank you."

Stuck, Have you read Ally's new book. Well I didn't, but I was able to get a lot of reviews from just book readers and some OT5s and some CS. I have a feeling that the book is genuine when it talks about Ally and what she's gone through, but when it comes to other 4 girls, I think maybe the management had a hand in it so make it kinda shady subtly ( again I didn't read it myself but I did get some honest reviews) When ally talked about resorting to drinks when supposedly a bandmate made fun of her being virgin (I feel it's like a mild bullying from whoever did that) but I don't exactly trust the bandmate part. The girls have been together for 6 yrs and if it really the way it's said in the book ally couldn't have told them to stop (ik Ally's nice but I do believe she'll stand up to her bandmates if they wronged her like that) the reason why I'm thinking this because ally specifically said bandmate ( D,L,C,N are in questioning) but never said a name for C's replacement (who can be literally anyone) Do you get where I'm going stuck ? I have seen a few well known CS n Ot5 fall into believing that the girls never truly had any sisterhood/Friendship ( even tho the girls where not mentioned at large) Also I kind feel like everyone onto Ally's book to get some kinda intel on the fued , rather than feel empathic to the struggles an ambitious young singer had/is going thru. I'm a true OT5 and I don't want/like to shit on my girls (all 5) but now people are being toxic in sm to take things out of the book to make them look bad. Some saying Ally's a clout chaser 🤦🏻♀️ and D,L bullied her🙃 (in general), N made fun of her dancing (😑), C never respected Allycat 🙄😞.
I'm sorry for ranting stuck, I just need to get this out. I'd love to hear what you have to say, once you read the book or what you think of my pov)
Hope everything is well with you. Stay safe 💝
Hey anon! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Ally's book on my blog. The truth is that I would love to read it but I don't have the means to buy it :( so I could not comment on what Ally says in the book, but, (and I think I already mentioned this in another post). Although Ally tries To be as honest with her book as possible, we all know that Ally's management (Bastards from Maverick) was going to have something to say about it. Ally cannot speak out against them freely because she is under a nondisclosure contract and we all know that The biggest seller in the industry is drama, the fucking drama that these bastards of the supposed feud of the girls against Camila have sold and vice versa. That shit sells, anon. And it was what those idiots wanted, for ot5 and ot4 fans to face off like they always have. I do believe that they bonded and then gave that typical image that they hate being together (In fact Lauren mentioned in her last live about hating her time in the band because of the lack of creativity she had there). And I'm not saying that everything was rosy because we know it was not, it cannot be all happiness and tenderness when you had five teenagers in full development living together, each with their different personalities and differences. That's impossible. Of course they must have had conflicts between them, of course they must have had fights and Camren must have also been a critical point in the girls' relationship. Of course yes. That must have happened. But I don't think they hated each other to death, that they didn't support each other when they needed it. And I know, because as I have said in other posts about Ally, the girls had in common that they seemed to come from the same world. No one taller or shorter than the other. The only difference in that coexistence was Ally and her age compared to the other girls. Ally was already of legal age when she signed her contract with Fifth Harmony and she had to deal with four teenagers with typical teenage problems and where she usually had to chaperone Camren. It is understandable that Ally felt "separate" from the rest because she was practically surrounded by girls. Girls who liked to play, fight, joke and everything you can think of. Besides being like a mother to them because she was the oldest and that responsibility fell to her. Her experience in the band was different from the beginning and I know that even without having read that book I am sure that she has reflected it there. The management achieved its objective. Sell Ally's book through dramas like you always do. It's really not something new, not for me, not for anyone. But thank you anon. Thanks once again for sharing this story on my blog.
Stay safe you too, dear anon.

Thank you for the request anon ❤. I will take on the request of:
If the IkeSen Warlords is an animal:
I think of nothing but Cats and Dogs tho. So here goes.
1. Nobunaga - Cat
-Smug. Duh.
-He will sit in front of his empty bowl and it makes MC over think as if she just saw a smirking look on her cat.
-His food must be mixed with konpeitos. Weird cat. Demanding too.
-Late night, he will sneak into the kitchen to steal some treats, and when he get caught, he purred cutely. Which only gets a raised eyebrows by MC.
-Still, when MC had a bad day, he would walk towards her and lick her tears til she laugh again.
2. Hideyoshi - Dog
-Would guard MC wherever she go. Including guarding in front of the bathroom door.
-Will perk his ears and barks when MC running all over the room if she's late for the day.
-He will lick on her face when she's having a bad day.
-Automatically will carry the groceries bags when MC just got back from shopping / when he followed her to go for groceries shopping.
-Would drag blanket to cover MC if she fell asleep on her desk.
3. Masamune - Cat
-Whenever he walks with MC, all the female cat would circle around him (opposite situation indeed), which gives MC the trouble to escape.
-He loves MC so much because among all the cute cats in the adoption centre, MC still chooses him despite having one eye.
-"Isn't it supposed to be mating season?"
-MC just shrug with "I don't know, my cat would always want to be inside and refuse to go for a walk tho. He wanted to be with me all the time." She giggled as Masamune lick her cheek.
4. Ieyasu - Cat
-It's the typical cat that will push your face away when you wanted to kiss it. And Ieyasu (pusher) and MC (kisser) was one of them.
-It took a while to get close to him as the adoption centre said that his trust with human is very low because he was abused since he was little.
-MC took him in, and he refuses to eat. Until one day MC cook some curry and for the first time he jump onto MC's lap to have a bite.
-MC worried if it harms his body but nope.
-At night, he would secretly sneak into MC's blanket and nuzzle on her neck and sleep beside her.
5. Mitsunari - Dog
-Constantly bonk his head onto the glass door. Or window. Or anything transparent.
-Would hung his head low, curled his tails, even though MC playfully warn him to not sleep on her stacks of fashion books.
-A good company when they walk around the park.
-Would try its best when there's another wild dog try to harm MC.
-Ieyasu would always escape from him and would always kick his face when he try to eat beside him, and MC have to always separate them.
6. Mitsuhide - Cat
-MC find him creepy at times.
-She can feel he peek behind the door whenever she change clothes / take a bath / eat / do whatever she wanted to do.
-Eat WHATEVER MC provide. Even the burnt omelette that she accidentally made because she was too busy separating Ieyasu and Mitsunari.
-Look away when MC wanted to kiss him, but would give a surprise lick on her lips when she feels sad.
7. Kenshin - Cat
-Over protective around MC.
-The previous owners couldn't take care of him as he were too agressive and would always injure other cats, to the point he were sent to the adoption centre.
-He were about to scratch MC but gradually calm down when MC smiled softly at him, and rub his head lovingly.
-Ever since then, he would only let MC touch him and no one else. Female cats? Not even a single glance were given.
8. Shingen - Dog
-Wherever MC go, he would follow and then roll on his back to seek for MC's attention.
-Oooohhh belly rub is ❤!
-Would constantly lick all over her face, and feigning innocence when MC glare at him.
-LOVES desserts so much and any shops that sells sweets would give him food for free because they say he is a charming dog.
9. Yukimura - Dog
-Would always be sticking around MC and didn't understand why the female dogs flock around him, despite its a mating season.
-Refuse to eat when he doesn't feel like it, making MC worried if he is sick. In a way teasing his master.
-But when MC make a sad face, he would quickly rush to her side and nuzzle on her neck, run to his bowl, pushing it towards MC by his nose, and eat it. Showing that everything would be alright.
-He would then lick her face when she laugh again.
10. Sasuke - Cat
-Very intelligent and too advanced. He can use the toilet as his litter box and pump it after he's done, and no, MC didn't teach him that.
-Would appear beside MC out of nowhere and tap her on her arm to show that he is hungry.
-He rarely meow when MC coo over him, but he will when MC had a bad day.
-Will kiss MC if she ask for it. Every. Single. Time.
-Bli-wink when MC said "Who is the handsome cat??"
-Will help to search for MC's missing items, especially her hair tie that he secretly put in his secret stash himself.
11. Kennyo - Dog
-MC have to separate him from Nobunaga or else he will kick him on the face or more worse than that after he had given him a huge scar on his face.
-Very awkward with touchy feely and affectionate MC, but will lick her face when she is sad.
-Likes to rest on the verandah, and MC couldn't count the amount of birds and small squirrels that flock around him and sleep together with him.
Why more cats than dogs you say? Because I'm biased-- JK 🤣
Because I choose based on the IkeSen Warlords personality. That's all. I choose which I think suitable (ू•ᴗ•ू❁) 🐱🐶💕

Currently thinking about Spencer and Derek's first house they got together, aka their forever home.
The whole time they had been dating, they've been living separately. Whenever they felt like holding the other they'd stay the night at their places. So they finally leave the BAU, and Idk, but maybe Derek build a house for them
He meant to just redo it but there was some serious problems that were hidden so he was like "fuck it"
The house is a combination of both their styles. It was a lot of compromise because Spencer was like "Derek are you serious we are not having an all white kitchen-" or some other stupid shit because we all know Spencer's style and how he'll argue over the smallest things and whatnot. And Derek's like "babe you gotta think about the property value, it'll be hard to sell the house if the light fixtures look like they belong in a haunted house" and he's into modern stuff.
Besides their two different styles, the house has many cool and personal touches. The staircase is a bookshelf and Spencer looses his shit over it but the thing is, you would think bookshelves would satisfy him but if you give a mouse a cookie, he'll ask for some milk. The more bookshelves you give Spencer Reid you're basically asking him to buy more books. Derek could bookshelves everywhere in the house and there would STILL be books in the bathroom or the coat closet because "i ran out of space, where else was i supposed to put them?"
There's lots of paintings on the wall bc if it were up to Spencer, the walls would be bare. There's also lots of pictures. Of them, the team, that kind of stuff. There's also like a wall that's dedicated to the people that left. Like there's chess stuff for Gideon and the star puzzle for Emily, etc.
It took them forever to paint the house because: "so how long do you think it'll take to paint the house?" "With a team, it'll take-" "a team? Derek Morgan, this is our first home together. We will be painting every wall by hand."
The BAU comes over whenever they get the chance and helps the two paint the house. Countless times have they fucked it up tho and had to restart. Another reason it took them so long was because Spencer Reid, who knows literally nothing about houses or styling them basically shut down all of Derek's ideas because it "didn't seem right". To which Derek had to remind him that "you think too much. You just gotta feel it." There's a lot of paint colors out there and having that amount of choice is bad for Spencer. But yeah. At the end of the day each room is a different but soothing color.
As for the house itself, it has 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms. The master bedroom with the master bath (which btw, the tub in there? Hella nice.), A guest room (for family or the team), a kids room (do i think they want kids? Yes but I think they don't get kids because i personally imagine moreid just growing old together and there being no one else. Jack, Henry, and other kids stay at their house sometimes. Also, i think Spencer hand painted the ceiling in the kids room to be filled with constellations.), And an office. The office has two sides for the two that work in there. Derek's side has vinyls on the wall, and Spencer's side has a white board, in case the team ever calls them about a case.
The house has high ceilings and so one day Derek comes home with groceries and he hears Spencer singing bc "wow the echo is amazing in here" and it's adorable.
Spencer just being amazed at the house. If you told him when he first joined the BAU that he would leave with a loving partner, an amazing family, a dog, and a gorgeous house he'd be like "the odds of that being true are astronomically low."
Ever since they moved in that house, he's researched statistics about houses, about homeowners, and the things that they have in their house. Stuff like "over 3/4 of homes in America have carpet or rugs. This is slowly dying out because new trends. In the 70's carpet was a big deal but now everyone wants a home with hardware floors."
Idk if Clooney is a girl dog or a boy dog or if they're even alive but let's just say Clooney had puppies. So yes there's dog supplies in house
They've got blackout curtains in their bedroom because Spencer has a real hard time with sleep. And because they left the BAU Spencer doesn't have to wake up in the morning. Derek is scared at how much that kid can sleep. "Babe, you've been in and out of sleep for the past 4 days. Are you ok-" "Derek, i swear to God, I've gotten up early for literally half of my life. If you don't let me make up the hours i missed,-" "Ok, ok i get pretty boy. I'm sorry go back to bed."
Derek more than Spencer makes sure that everything is always locked. The windows and doors get their locks replaced a lot just in case. Also, the only people that have a key to the house is them two. It's not that they don't trust the others it's just in case. No spare key hidden outside the house or that shit. They also got camera's and stuff, probably just vivnt or something like that.
Spencer doesn't like speakers. So for music they've got these around the house
For TV, lots of VHS tapes. Spencer being a technophobe and him not liking change. He's got all his favorite documentaries, tv shows, movies, and cartoons on VHS so it's not big deal for him. I think they probably got cable so Derek can watch sports. Derek's got his favorite movies on CD and they watch those and cuddle on some nights.
Hand sanitizer, wipes, tissues, etc can be found easily everywhere in the house. I also think they burn candles or have that thing where you put the wax in and spreads the smell of the wax like steam in their house.
The bathroom has SO much of Spencer's shit there. You would think he'd be more organized but that's the one thing he hasn't really adjusted to. Hair products, skin products, medication, different toothpastes, whatever the hell you can think of, it's all scattered in there.
guys talk to me about moreid i can't stop thinking about them

March 21st 2018
Today we woke up and made our way to breakfast. Today we were told we were going to be seeing the killings fields just on the outskirts of Phnom Penh. We got on the bus and met our tour guide for the day, his name was nay and said "watch me whip" which is you get the reference was pretty funny. When we got there it was not quite what I expected, I didn't think I'd see a glass tower with shelves filled with skulls. As we walked around the graves nay told us about the history and details of the harrowing events of the Khmer Rouge. If you have not heard of the Khmer Rouge or simply don't know what happened basically Cambodia had a rubbish government and the people wanted change but when the new government came to power the people celebrated for 3 hours before they started killing them. Almost half the population was wiped out. There are over 300 killing fields in Cambodia and 20,000 bodies were found in the one we visited so you can imagine how I was quite taken back walking threw bones. Nay told us that they had tried to dig up the bodies but there were far too many, they would clear so many but whenever it rained more bones and teeth would come to the surface along with clothes. As we made our way round the graves Nay spoke the individual graves and who were buried there, but I don't think anyone else said a word, I don't think anyone could it was just so terrible. There was one grave in particular that really took us of guard, the grave where the women and their children were buried. After the killing field, we went to one of the prisons, S-21, most of the other prisons were turned back into schools and hospitals but this one remains the same to better inform the public we looked around the cells and they had photos hung on the walls. In the courtyard there was a huge blown up picture of four little children and a group of Vietnamese soldiers who come to rescue the victims, the tallest boy in the picture was the only one who knew what happened as the others were too young, little did we know that boy (obviously now a grown man) was stood right next to us. He told us the story about him wanting to go get ice cream when the Khmer Rouge came and took his father away and how he and his brother were separated from his mother. It was a horrible story no 9 year old should have to experience. The only survivors of S-21 were 7 men and 4 children, one of the men had since died, the others are still alive and 2 were there when we visited selling their books about their ordeal. After a rather dark morning we went to a lovely cafe for lunch called friends that was funding the school next door. Once lunch was over we had a free afternoon to do as we pleased. Irene and I decided we'd go the the central market then the fresh market which trust me is definitely fresh but probably not edible! Some places had fish that were out of water but still wriggling, but as soon as they were dead they were just covered in flies! Dinner was not anywhere near the market was a nice little restaurant on the riverside one of the girls and I split a pitcher of sangria since it was happy hour. After dinner we went to a karaoke bar upstairs from the restaurant, believe it or not I actually went up sang a song with 2 other guys. We walked back to the hotel afterwards and went straight to bed.
