thanks @legalandnotease for your contribution, I'm going to make mine as well because this user @quimbolgees seems to love to ignore how ableist and victim-blamer Sam was for literally the entire series with Bucky.
Did it ever occur to you that Sam was also grieving? He too lost time off of his life, lost Natasha without closure and the other friend he gave up his health, life, freedom and safety to help abandoned him as well?
Of course, I know that Sam as well as all the victims of the Blip (which also includes Bucky) were going through the loss of time of their lives, time, maybe some family and friends, etc. Bucky was going through exactly that and also dealing with being in control of his own body for the first time in 70 years, with all the trauma of being tortured, stripped of his identity and forced to kill against his will, plus brain damage, C-PTSD, and on top of that losing the only family he had left and the only one who truly believed in him: Steve.
I personally know what it is like to deal with a grief that leaves an identity crisis for having lost a very close loved one, I have also lived the experience of seeing one of his possessions being misused by the person he had entrusted it to, oh and believe me, my family and I were so offended that we did not hesitate to go and claim that, and guess what happened?? The person realized his mistake, even though it was unintentional, but he never dared to use the extremely offensive comment of âthis has nothing to do with youâ because that is one of the lowest things you can say to a close relative of the deceased. This is why I can perfectly understand the way Bucky felt about seeing the shield in the hands of the government.
And how do you dare say Sam had no real rationale to give up the shield when Bucky knew of Isaiahâs existence and the shit he dealt with fer decades when he did exactly the same fucking thing Rogers did?
The thing is simple, Sam gave up the shield (I mean... to the government, what a bad idea) because the poorly written script made him think that the world would not want a black Captain America, this was before knowing Isaiah's story. But Sam as such never, at any time faced public rejection or a single comment that he would not be accepted for being black, even Rhodey asked him why he had not taken the mantle without making any reference to rejection for racial issues. Isaiah's situation was horrible and unfair without a doubt, unfortunately that kind of racism was quite common in the decade from the 50's to the 80's - 90's and you could not raise your voice, but in 2024 things have changed enormously, many black men were already in high positions of power as Rhodey, Nick Fury, etc, that's why once Isaiah's story was known he was immediately recognized as a hero by society.
But beyond the fact that the writing was so bad as to not properly cement this issue, *the real problem*, as I've tried to explain for numerous times now, was NEVER that Sam didn't feel comfortable taking the mantle as Captain America, BUT THAT HE GIVED UP THE SHIELD TO THOSE WHO COULD MISUSE IT, AND THAT IS LITERALLY WHAT HAPPENED. And again, after Steve's death, Sam remained in possession of the shield for a long time without having taken up the mantle as the new Cap, AND BUCKY NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THAT. HIS JUSTIFIED ANNOYANCE CAME FROM KNOWING IT WAS NOW THE GOVERNMENT WHO WAS IN POSSESSION OF THE SHIELD BECAUSE OF SAM'S BAD DECISION, AND THAT WAS WHY THERE WAS NOW A NEW CAP WHO WAS NOT THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB. *THAT'S BUCKY'S REAL PROBLEM.*
How Bucky managed to not grapple or try to understand Samâs mental strife knowing what he did means heâs an obtuse little fuck when it comes to emotionally attaching himself to an inanimate object in lieu of feeling abandoned.
Like when you have never experienced the horrible experience of painful grief, and you just throw ignorant comments about it... đ€Šââïžđ€Šââïž
The attachment to the belongings of the loved one you lost and now feel like the only memory you have of them, IS TOTALLY NORMAL AND UNDERSTANDING, IT'S CALLED GRIEF AND IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO BEGIN TO HEAL, many psychological and thanatological studies have proven this on tons of occasions.
So please, if you have no idea what it feels like to live through this, then don't flippantly throw out offensive comments like this, which are an insult to people like me who still after years have not recovered.
But him feeling betrayed and hurt gives him no leeway to be a bastard to Sam as he was.
Expressing your displeasure at seeing one of your loved one's closest possessions being misused is not called being a âbastardâ it is called wanting to defend that belonging when your loved one is no longer here to do it himself. And again in case you don't get it right, IT'S CALLED GRIEF AND IT SHOULD BE RESPECTED.
Releasing Zemo was a fucked decision because he was a murdering, manipulative piece of shit and was an entire stab in the back to the people who took him in and helped to deprogram him, gave him a semblance of rest where heâd known only war.
You love to deliberately ignore certain information to twist things in your favor don't you? I explained it before: THE BADLY WRITTEN SCRIPT THAT MADE ZEMO THE âGREATEST HYDRA EXPERTâ MADE HIS ASSISTANCE NECESSARY IN THE MISSION TO FIGHT THE FLAG SMASHERS. THE BOOK âTHE ART OF THE TFATWSâ LITERALLY SAYS THAT BUCKY AND SAM DID THE RIGHT THING BY RESORTING TO HIS ASSISTANCE, do you understand this or do I have to repeat it?
And once again, do you understand that Zemo is not only responsible for T'Chaka's death but he was also an abuser of Bucky himself and one of the people who hurt him the most by framing him for the UN bombing, causing everyone to try to kill him throughout the movie, causing him to be held guilty without a fair trial, and later subjecting him to mind control which takes away his agency? In a just world part of Zemo's sentence should have been for all the damage he caused Bucky.
Oh and since you want to start with the false âBucky betrayed the people who did him the favor of helping himâ argument, let me burst your bubble and clarify that the reason T'Challa offered Bucky assistance in removing the Winter Soldier's programming from his brain, was not because of how magnanimous T'Challa is in wanting to help a poor man who had suffered too much, but rather that that assistance was given in the form of an apology for having spent it trying to kill him without being sure if Bucky was the one truly responsible for his father's death, and also in the form of thanks because thanks to him and Steve, T'Challa was able to get to the one truly responsible. The canonical comic Avengers Infinity War Prelude literally.

Bucky needing to readjust how he lived his life was solid advice. Seeking to put those in prison that his controlled mind and body put into positions of power was not sustainable.
Sam's âadviceâ has nothing to do with Bucky âreadjusting to lifeâ, all Sam did was tell Bucky that he is responsible and guilty for the acts he was forced to do under mind control and to overcome that he has to âdo the work and put himself in the service of those âhe wrongedâ like the Winter Soldierâ. As rightly said before by my friend legalandnotease, THAT IS CALLED VICTIM-BLAMING. BUCKY DOES NOT HAVE TO DO ANY WORK BECAUSE HE IS AS BIG A VICTIM AS ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE HARMED BY HYDRA'S ACTIONS.
Him being of service, being present in his life and surrounding community would be beneficial to himself as well.
NO, THERE IS NOTHING HEALTHY OR BENEFICIAL FOR BUCKY TO GO ABOUT PRESENTING HIMSELF TO THE PEOPLE HE BELIEVES HE IS THE VICTIMIZER OF, AS THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR MISDEEDS. Supporting Dr. Raynor's victim-blaming idea of victim-blaming in the interaction between victims, where one of them is presented as the victimizer not as a victim as well, is extremely harmful and damaging to both parties. Sam has never had experience as a victim of abuse, enslavement nor mind control, so he should know that he is NOT qualified to offer appropriate and healthy advice to a victim of this situation.
You donât get to dictate how what Bucky said affected Sam and you donât get to pretend that some of the shit he said didnât reek of self centeredness.
I don't come here to pretend anything, simply that, unlike you, I fully share and understand Bucky's experience of what it's like to deal with a painful grief of losing a close loved one that leaves you with an identity crisis. And guess what? Every single one of Bucky's actions are totally in line with that. To say that this is âself centeredâ is extremely insensitive and offensive to a grieving person, BECAUSE IT IS NO MORE WANTING TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE BELONGINGS OF THAT PERSON WHO IS NO LONGER THERE TO DO IT HIMSELF. And when you add to that the fact that that possession (the shield) is in the hands of one who can misuse it and endanger someone, it increases by 1000 Bucky's justification for disagreeing with Sam's decision.
All the other points are already well covered by my friend⊠And in closing, we Bucky fans never minimize the trauma of all the other Marvel characters who have also suffered greatly, such as Rocket, Nebula, Thor, Yelena, Natasha, Isaiah, etc. Our outrage is based on the fact that unlike each of them, Bucky has never had the opportunity to be empathized with or understood by anyone other than Steve and just a comment from T'Challa, he has been blamed for his trauma and experiences over and over again, and forced to make amends for what his captors forced him to do. Bucky has been denied the right to be recognized as a victim, when the victimhood of everyone else has never been in doubt.
After watching the only scene in BNW that mattered to me, I wanna emphasize how important it is that bucky says one of the most emotionally mature things that a character has said in the MCU in a long while.
He asks sam âWhy?â
He doesnât correct Sam. Tell him heâs wrong. He doesnât make the moment about himself.
It shows that Bucky fucking grew after TFATWS. a show where he is so self-obsessed (because of his trauma which isnât inherently his fault) that he rarely considers Samâs emotions.
Bucky Barnes has one of the best arcs in the MCU, and I think him even saying âI love youâ is another sign that he is frankly pretty damn emotionally intelligent and either the writers or Sebastian Stan decided that it was important to include.
#long post#bucky has been subjected to victim-blaming and ableism by Sam throughout the series#but no Sam fan has acknowledged this#all others like sharon and isaiah have had their suffering recognized#and when Bucky wants to express his feelings and deal with his grief it seems he has no right to do so#bucky barnes#mcu ableism#mental health#and its disgusting treatment in all things MCU#anti tfatws#the falcon and the victim-blaming

I love Lestat, but I can't stand some Lestat stans. I make jokes sometimes about him never doing anything wrong, but I forget there are people who actually believe that.
Lestat himself was like "Yeah I totally deserved that murder attempt. I was fucking crazy. What I did was horrible and irredeemable. I don't blame Claudia and Louis at all. They did what they had to do" and yet some Lestat stans are still like "Poor baby! He didn't deserve it!" Yeah he did! And he would be the first to tell you that.
Baby girl needed that murder attempt to reset his entire brain on a molecular level. He needed it to slap some sense into him and make him see how off the rails he had gone.
#he owned up to the shit he did#he acknowledged how fucked up it was#so why do fans still talk like this?#you can acknowledge the flaws he has and still love his character#he doesn't need to be morally superior for you to like him#amc iwtv#interview with the vampire#iwtv#lestat de lioncourt#sam reid#loustat

Anyway saw a post about how Sam was only into hunting to look after Dean in the same way that children feel obligated to look after their elderly parents and I blacked out. Did anyone on the site actually watch the show?
The first three seasons are like. Peak Sam and Dean Winchester studies. The first episode(s) sets up who you think these characters are and then the show goes "here's how we completely deconstruct everything you thought about them" for the next forty something episodes.
Dean is the good faithful son, following in his dad's footsteps. You're led to believe that he's a john parallel but then guess what!! he's NOT!! he's Mary Winchester actually and for all that he says he hates the apple pie life. Well guess what Dean's favorite food is ever.
Sam is the normal one, the guy who wants the normal life and hates hunting and is nothing like John, but then guess what!! He and John narratively parallel each other!! THEY ARE THE SAME PERSON!!
And then you get s4-s5 which just continues over and over again to reinforce the idea that Sam and Dean want two completely opposite lives and the only reason Dean is still there is bc the other option is to not care about ppl dying which is something that goes against Dean winchester's hardware.
I think the only time we see Sam post s1 every touting the "I want out" line is during his suicidal era in s8-9 and the weird shit with Amelia that half of us have blocked out bc it was so goddamn boring. And the show even goes out of its way after these arcs to have Sam repeatedly tell ppl that he loves hunting and only wants to hunt if Dean is there so like?? Tell me again how Sam is this poor child being pressured into hunting bc his older brother/parent apparently won't let go.
LET SAM BE A BADASS HUNTER WHO LIKES HUNTING.
#SCREAMING#this is just another way the final absolutely ruins everyone#bc yeah we talk a lot about how dean wanted out and then fucking died on a random hunt#which is absolutely devastating#but we don't talk enough about how sam who LOVES hunting settles down and has kids#he would fucking NOT do that#people do NOT understand sam winchester#also its so so so fucking weird to me that half of the analysis on sam that i see from the perspective of his fans always devolve into#how sam is being pressured by his parentified older brother#but with zero acknowledgement that parentification is actual abuse while dean having a fight with sam is just...not abuse#ugh#sam winchester#dean winchester#sam studies#dean studies#supernatural

related to my lrb but i said it like three posts ago. people on here looove to treat spn gifset excerpts as inherently severed from its context. the conversation i just rbed literally includes dean relating this couple's dynamic to his and sam's... but the gifset excerpt doesn't include dean's line about it and so half of the notes somehow made it about dstiel (and extended it to samleen of course)
#this fandom is SO WEIRD!!!!!! ive never seen anything like this#the fandom itself and the way it interacts with art made from the show#has literally stretched itself to fit the way dstiel fans interpret their ship#they need to sever immediate contexts within the way they interact with fan content to omit certain aspects and claim reference to others#and now the whole fandom does this when they interact w gifsets#people do it too re: woobifying dean. i said this in the tags on a rb about 4.19#but the part of sam and dean's conversation about adam's potential always cuts out dean's hypocrisy#about the way dean treats sam goung to school vs how he's relating adam to his own schooling#the idea that the last scene in 1.14 is Actually About dean being hit by john while sam wasn't comes from this severing of context as well#the episode is about sam's relationship with john and how his monstrosity plays into his relationship with john#and his budding guilt complex about it with a side of the way his monstrosity hinders his idea or normalcy...#it's the same thing for 9.07!!! the malnourishedâ perfect parent dean discourse never acknowledges the fact that#he gambled the money away when really it would be more interesting to analyse the fact that he was a kid and kids are irresponsible#and shouldn't have been given that responsibility in the first place#his losing of the money did not warrant that punishment because it was an inherently impossible circumstance#but it's the same severance of context!!!#whatever lol#ludere

i'm such a bitter and angry sam girl
#i Hate how sam is treated by literally everyone (the fandom; the characters; the showrunners; even dean)#and i hate even more the weird worship/respect they all have for dean that they completely lack for sam.#dean gets most of the fun storylines; dean gets the relationships with all the characters; dean gets to talk about his trauma#dean is the one that gets all the ships canon or not; dean gets his trauma acknowledged and empathized with;#and sam is continually shoved to the side in every single way for literally no real reason by everyone.#anyway i'm mainly sick of this because the way this fandom treats sam really mirrors how they treat survivors.#sam is the most realistic in the portrayal of survivors of severe trauma (another reason i find the treatment of him so ironic)#and since so much of this fandom treats him like shit for that trauma does it really come as a surprise they do the same to fans like that?#anyway there's a reason i don't rb stuff that has to do with dean for the most part and that's because i'm sick of all of this shit.#i'll probably delete this later#txt

Maybe Iâm hormonal cause of my cycle but I just want to cry thinking about Kendrickâs halftime performance. Like besides the fact that Iâve always been such a huge fan of him since I was a teen and he dissed Drake on the biggest stage, seeing him be so political at the Super Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana in front of the most racist mother fucker and other racist fans of the Chiefs when the NFL stopped putting âEnd Racismâ on the field goals all while the Eagles got their lick back from losing to the Chiefs two years agoâŠis so satisfying. Itâs just so many messages put into that performance in less than 20 mins that would go over peopleâs heads.
Itâs more than just rap music. Itâs more than just a performance. What Kendrick did was send a literal message to Americans, Black Americans in particular, who already know and live to experience the racism in this country that will only grow because of this administration, that there will always be a way to preserve the history and the culture of this nationâs people who fought hard for their acknowledgment as human beings.
Like, having Samuel L. Jackson playing Uncle Sam critiquing Black American culture and behavior, the dancers forming a divided American flag in the background, the colors being used, the stage structured to look like a game board of sorts, the dancers âmarchingâ down the street, Kendrick saying âthe revolution will be televisedâ, emphasizing âturn his TV offâ with all of the strange propaganda ads weâve seen throughout the Super Bowl being streamed.
Kendrick has always been political in his music and unapologetic of the black experience as an American. But the fact that he performed the way he did on this big stage knowing how racist the NFL is with so many people across the country watching including our excuse of a president thatâs threatening the lives of millions of peopleâŠit was just so good and powerful to see on live TV. This performance is so important, especially coming after the Grammyâs where people have been having a weeklong debate of why Beyonceâs COWBOY CARTER album deserved to win AOTY and the impact it had on validating the experiences of southern Black Americans and winning in a genre that blacklisted herâŠthis shit is so fucking powerful man. It means so much to me truly. Kendrick you will always be famous.
#kendrick lamar#super bowl 2025#thereâs a reason why he won a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for DAMN#im yapping but im done now i promise#please stream Kendrick and BeyoncĂ© and SZA tomorrow#I know I will#doing this felt like such a big fuck you to Trump#fuck the orange man with my whole fucking chest bitch#and that Nike commercial narrated by Doechii was the best thing ever

Fangirlish Interviews
INTERVIEW: Sam Heughan And Caitriona Balfe On Jamie & Claireâs Growth in Outlander
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/4fd5a7d7f9ffa4ba4cad751e202a69eb/32baa625a70297ba-af/s540x810/34319ddeef08a57ac9c03ffff3439ad6d711d7f5.jpg)
Outlander Season 7 Part 2 has us in stitches! We sat down with Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in a roundtable interview to talk about Jamie & Claireâs growth. They also discussed the challenges the two face in Season 7, Part 2 and the legacy they leave behind. Ready?Â
Here we go!
The return to Lallybroch in Outlander Season 7 Part 2
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/038b211894cae7af50d7f36c3651c775/32baa625a70297ba-7c/s540x810/6989af334790d7c47b0ef41a08b63c5d235cdb39.jpg)
One of the most special moments in Outlander Season 7 Part 2 is the return to Lallybroch, the ancestral home of the Frasers. For Caitriona Balfe, this location is not only a space full of history in the series but also a fundamental place in the evolution of her character, Claire.Â
Talking about Lallybroch immediately brings us back to the moment when Claire shares her secret with her family. Balfe reflected on how that revelation shook the relationship between Claire and Jenny: âWhen there are secrets between people, it prevents them from fully connecting. For Claire and Jenny, this revelation meant being able to close that shift between them regarding their relationship and friendship. It was wonderful to return to that place where so much has happened for the characters.â
For his part, Sam Heughan highlighted the meaning of Lallybroch for Jamie and the emotional impact of returning to a place that defines so much of who he is. âJamie has always wanted to return. Although his home is now in America, returning to Lallybroch allows him to reconnect with his family and close important chapters. However, things didnât go as he expected, as there were many relationships he needed to resolve before he could move forward.â
Both actors agree that filming at Lallybroch is a gift for both them and viewers. According to Heughan, the scenes in Scotland capture the essence of Jamieâs character while also allowing fans to reconnect with the roots of the story.
Beyond the Wedding: The Importance of Marriage
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f511e35fc0bd5295ae5a6ed8089a3918/32baa625a70297ba-15/s540x810/4a66d583dd3df856e0564755295cf89087ba8e88.jpg)
At another point in the interview, a more personal topic was raised: the importance of marriage versus the spectacle of a wedding. This led Caitriona Balfe to reflect on the social pressure around modern weddings and how Claire, with her history of weddings and complex relationships, would have advised a young woman about prioritizing marriage over the event.
âModern weddings have gotten out of hand. âIt shouldnât cost as much as a house to have a wedding,â Balfe said, with a mix of humor and sincerity. The conversation quickly turned playful when Heughan mentioned Roger and Briannaâs wedding on the show, pointing out that even that celebration reflected the emotional focus over the material. Balfe added that, in her experience, someone gave her a valuable piece of advice that resonated both in her life and in her portrayal of Claire: âDonât make your wedding about your past, make it about your future. I thought that was a beautiful message.â
The dynamic between the actors was evident when Heughan humorously interrupted to point out how âOutlanderâ that phrase sounded, generating a moment of laughter between the two. However, Balfe returned to seriousness to conclude that, for her, a wedding should be a celebration of the beginning of a new stage: âMarriage is what matters. The party is not everything, but what you build after.â
Outlanderâs Legacy According to Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7e201fc13909042ae09eff53abadfd11/32baa625a70297ba-86/s540x810/45e17e70aed170c045dac1fc70ee131c494299c7.jpg)
After this relaxed moment, nostalgia took over, and, after more than a decade of playing Jamie and Claire Fraser in Outlander, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe face the challenge of saying goodbye to two characters who have become an extension of themselves. Playing two such iconic characters for more than a decade not only requires dedication but also a deep emotional connection.Â
Caitriona Balfe acknowledged that Claire has influenced who she is today: âWhen I think about who I was at the beginning of this series and who I am now, part of that change has to do with Claire, but also with leading this project alongside Sam and assuming everything that implies. Claire has given me a lot of confidence and has even inspired me to use my voice. Some might say perhaps too much, but who would say that?â she said with a laugh.Â
Sam Heughan shared similar sentiments, explaining that the line between him and Jamie has blurred over the years: âItâs hard to completely separate ourselves from the characters, and weâre in the process of doing that now, which sounds like a bit of aâŠâ
Balfe chimed in humorously: âexistential crisis?â
âYeah,â Heughan replied with a laugh, âbecause you realize youâre saying goodbye to someone youâve lived with for so long. I think itâs going to take me years to really understand everything Jamie has taught me, but Iâve certainly gained confidence, and experience and grown with him. Plus, heâs given me an incredible relationship, one I never thought Iâd have.â
The Evolution of Jamie & Claire in Outlander Season 7 Part 2
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/30004fda851001e0aa71192da6704638/32baa625a70297ba-f9/s540x810/58a3c851d33feaf85faf948d0dc42bd1cbff025d.jpg)
From their first meeting to the most recent events in Outlander Season 7 Part 2, Jamie and Claireâs relationship has gone through countless trials and transformations. Including brushes with death, as happened in Outlander Season 7 Episode 15.Â
Balfe explained how this journey has shaped the couple, as âtheyâve been through so many trials and tribulations, and theyâve learned a lot about each other. Over time, those harsher personality traits have softened a bit, and their understanding of each other has grown. However, when theyâre separated, as happens in season 7B, we see that theyâre both more capable of moving on without each other, but we know that nothing good really happens when theyâre apart. When they finally meet again, thereâs a lot of friction because, sometimes, we act from a place of old wounds.â
Heughan also reflected on how the years have changed the coupleâs dynamic: âIn the early seasons, Jamie and Claire were very intense, with arguments that felt like âwill they work it out or not? â Now theyâve moved past that. They can still argue, but it doesnât put their relationship at risk anymore. Theyâve reached a point where their bond is deeper and more mature. When theyâre finally apart and Jamie comes back, thatâs a really dramatic moment for them to work through. Until then, we see how much their relationship has grown and matured.â
With eleven years of history on Outlander, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have not only brought Jamie and Claire to life but have evolved alongside them. The series has not only been an epic journey for the characters but also for the actors, who carry with them the lessons and experiences that this adventure has left them with. As Balfe noted, âItâs definitely been the role of a lifetime,â and both she and Heughan acknowledge that it will take years to fully understand the impact of this experience, not only on their careers but also on who they are.
Jamie & Claireâs Most Complicated Moment
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/54c6a9404a34b915c416585cc4c95d6e/32baa625a70297ba-82/s540x810/a4ccf07bee90577793899b72ac8ba9112ea59906.jpg)
When discussing the most shocking recent moments from Outlander Season 7 Part 2, Balfe and Heughan reflected on what they thought of the particularly intense moment between Claire and Jamie in Outlander Season 7 Episode 12. Balfe admitted, âWhen I read the first version of the script, I was like, âWe canât do this..â I felt very defensive of Claire and we worked closely with the writers to find the best way to tell this beautiful but complicated story based on the books. Itâs a difficult moment to digest.â
Heughan, for his part, highlighted how surprising Jamieâs reaction was to him: âI didnât expect him to be so violent. I thought he would be more understanding, but at the end of the day, heâs a flawed human being. He has pride and darkness within him, and that makes him interesting.â
The Past in Outlander Season 7 Part 2
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/505d03e286165b4043b250a792d4e167/32baa625a70297ba-0a/s540x810/c32fb3a429d0d0beeb417903fb724667a6993f0d.jpg)
One of the most distinct moments in Outlander Season 7 Part 2 compared to previous seasons involves Roger MacKenzie, who, instead of arriving at the period he expected, ends up interacting with someone unexpected: Jamie Fraserâs father.Â
Sam Heughan explained how this unexpected connection adds a new layer to the story, as âitâs a cool moment, the way theyâve done it. Roger knocks on the door at Lallybroch expecting Jamie to open it, but he finds his father instead. Itâs a disconcerting situation for him. He has to think fast and adapt. Whatâs interesting is why he was sent to that period, what the consequences were, and where everyone was at that time. I think Jamie is in France at that point.â
Caitriona Balfe highlighted how this plot twist amplifies the use of time travel in this season because ânormally, time travel is a smaller part of the narrative, but this time it has a much more prominent role. This leads to fascinating questions about what changes someone can make by traveling back in time and what the ripple effects of those actions are.â
Exploring Characters Beyond the Books
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d91c74c72cba76baa96d186997bd8a64/32baa625a70297ba-dc/s540x810/35acf0de48ff85a2a77337851d57158e44be8af1.jpg)
Throughout seven seasons of Outlander, the writers have taken certain liberties with the source material, something Sam and Caitriona acknowledge as an inevitable challenge when adapting such a rich and sprawling saga. âThere have been moments or elements that weâve left out,â Heughan admitted. âSometimes I wish weâd done more or gone a little further from the books, but adapting such a dense series of novels into hour-long episodes is almost impossible. We probably could have done 20 seasons.â
Balfe added that despite the limitations, the final seasons have tried to stay true to the spirit of the books: âI think especially in these last few seasons, thereâs been an attempt to follow the books closely, but thereâs always been a need to tell our own story. And thatâs the exciting thing about television, finding the balance between faithfulness to the source material and narrative that works on screen.â
Heughan also reflected on the future of the Outlander universe, referring to the spin-off Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which will explore the Frasersâ story without the direct backing of the books: âIt will be interesting to see how they handle that new show, as they donât have any books to follow. Itâs exciting to think about the possibilities.â
Claireâs Double Responsibilities
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d4a6df38508412c0af7449be8a5b2f2f/32baa625a70297ba-35/s540x810/25164cbdb9fe6809282e7598fcd562a4585d5f8e.jpg)
Likewise, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe shared their thoughts on the dilemmas their characters face. As a time traveler with advanced medical knowledge, Claire has been a crucial figure in almost every season. But is it fair for others to expect her to be some kind of universal savior?
Caitriona Balfe reflected on this constant pressure: âI think Claire feels like she should be able to do more. Itâs frustrating for her not to have the tools, the medications, or even enough knowledge to solve all the problems she faces. Although she comes equipped with impressive skills, even doctors today rely on books and the internet. They donât have an encyclopedic memory of everything. And Claire is no different.â
Sam Heughan humorously added: âI donât think sheâs done enough. And neither does my daughter! They could have done so much more.â
Claireâs relationship with history is also a constant source of conflict. Balfe commented on the gaps in her historical knowledge: âI think whatâs fun about the character is that she has a general idea of ââhistorical events, but she doesnât always know the details. There are moments where you think, âClaire if only youâd paid a little more attention in classâŠââ
Despite these limitations, Heughan highlighted Claireâs impressive handling of her situation: âHer knowledge of history, for a non-historian, is pretty impressive.â
The Inevitable Call of War in Outlander Season 7 Part 2
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/cf04e4ae998500cdb8db02732079b012/32baa625a70297ba-15/s540x810/9fc125b24977d48e5d4c10037cfe47a69a26df85.jpg)
Throughout Outlander, Jamie and Claire have tried to avoid getting caught up in the historical events that shape the world around them. However, as Heughan noted, it seems that fate always drags them back into the middle of the conflict, as we see in the latest episode. âTheyâve tried to change history, to avoid it, but it always finds them. This season is no exception. The War of Independence is about to break out, and though they try to stay out of it, they are inevitably drawn into the heart of events. Itâs quite dramatic,â Heughan explains.Â
The tension between Jamie and Claireâs personal decisions and the weight of historical events is one of the pillars that continues to drive the narrative of Outlander. Balfe added: âItâs fascinating to see how their personal relationships and historical conflicts run in parallel, creating a balance between intimate drama and the magnitude of the events they face.â
And sheâs absolutely right because, after all, in addition to their love story, Claireâs constant struggle to help those around her, while carrying the expectations as a time traveler, along with Jamieâs resilience amid historical turbulence, encapsulates the spirit of Outlander. What happened in the last episode is just a taste of it, but the best thing is that there is still more to come because, definitely, that wasnât the end.

Massages and More (Dean)
Dean really likes your massage.
âWould you please quit moving?â you berate Dean, who instantly stops squirming under you. Your hands travel through his back in a calming manner. His muscles react to your touch.
âSorry,â Dean murmurs, âIâm just not used to this.â
You had convinced Dean to let you give him a back massage. He had come to the bunker tired after a long hunt. He claimed that his back was sore, and you jokingly commented on his age. You didnât mean to make him feel bad, but as an apology, you offered to relieve his pain a little.
Thatâs the reason why youâre on top of Dean Winchester -in a nonsexual way- caressing all of his back muscles. He is resting face down, shirtless, and you are straddling his hips. Some sexual innuendos pop into your mind, but you decide to remain quiet. The point of this is not sex. You want Dean to relax and make his poor back feel better. Of course, you cannot deny the enjoyment from touching that perfect body of his.
Dean and you have always had a weird thing going on. You are friends who have sex and have feelings for each other but donât acknowledge them head-on. Itâs been months since it started; you dance around expecting the other to confess their love. Even though you know you both feel the same way, neither says anything. Itâs exhausting, really. Several times youâve considered maybe, just maybe, being the first one to say it. And then you would think, why you? Why not him? Yeah, you both were stubborn, alright.
With the help of your index and thumb finger, you press into his lower back upwards, trying to release some tension in there. Dean sighs in contentment. You do it again on the other side. Itâs a good thing that you made him take a shower first. His skin is still wet from it, and itâs easier to slide your fingers up his back into the juncture between his shoulder blades. You stop briefly to admire the strength of his upper body. His broad chest always makes you swoon a little bit⊠or a lot. Even if heâs not a big fan of workouts like Sam and eats a lot of junk food, the hunt keeps him in shape. His muscular arms are strong enough to tackle down a vampire, or to lift you up while he fucks you against the wall.
When he moves slightly, you go back to work. You donât want him to find out that youâre probably enjoying this more than he is. With both of your hands, you press him down into the mattress in several key spots. He doesnât complain, so you do it again. Dean has gone so quiet that you think he mightâve fallen asleep. Youâre not a massage therapist at all, youâre just doing what feels right. You lower your hands to the hem of his sweatpants and work there for a few moments. Then you slide them up and to the left, and do the same to the other side. Youâre getting the hang of it. Youâre even focusing on the movements instead of Deanâs gorgeous back.

Mum I love you
Info: Â y/n has been part of the supernatural cast from the beginning as the youngest Winchester. She recently lost her mum from cancer and itâs her first convention since the loss, leading to questions being asked.
Relationship: Supernatural cast x platonic reader
Warnings: Mention of loss of parent, cancer, grief
Y/n lay on her hotel bed, staring at the wall in front of her as she lay on her side. Thoughts of her mum were evident in her mind, the last moments she had with her and the duration of her life with her. y/m/n had just lost her battle with cancer, and at the young age of 21 y/n was completely lost without her. She still remembered getting the call from her father, telling her to come to the hospice because her mother was asking for her. She remembered her dad meeting her at the entrance, him pulling her into a hug and kissing her head, before she walked into her mums room, crouching down to hug her tightly as she whispered her sorries and I love yous.
The funeral had a big turn out, y/m/n was the type that everyone loved for. Among those that turned up for y/n, were Jared and Jensen, along with cast and crew of Supernatural. They had been on a break from filming, and y/n had been at home when she was told her mother unfortunately wasnât going to win her battle. Jensen remembers y/n calling him in the middle of the night, crying after receiving the news. Their time zone was different, and y/ didnât think about what time it was, wanting to rant to someone. He was straight on the first flight when she told him her mother had passed, calling Jared on the way, and arrived on her doorstep, confusing her father. It was no secret that y/n had a close relationship with her co-stars, but Jensen and y/n were like the father daughter duo on set. So when the duo turned up, y/f/n just showed them to her room and left them alone. Y/n had been distraught, starring at the wall, wrapped in her motherâs dressing gown that she wore all the time. She refused to acknowledge the two lads at the start, but once she felt Jensenâs hand on her back, she broke down, and she screamed as she clung to him, Jared holding her hand over his shoulder.
---
The hall where the convention was taking place was packed. Crowds of supernatural fans had came, wanting to catch a glimpse of the three Winchesters. Dean, Sam & Isla were fan favorites, and the relationship between the three actors were something people loved to see. When they heard that y/n was returning to conventions after a long personal break, fans went wild, and y/n could feel the energy from back stage. She pulled her top over her hands as she flapped them about, before gasping in shock when arms wrapped around her from behind.
âPlease welcome the Winchester clan, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalaecki and the lovely, y/n l/n.â Was heard over the speaker before y/n moved away from Jensen as they walked up the steps.
âIâm with you if you need me.â Jensenâs voice came over her shoulder before kissing her cheek.
âYea.â Y/n spoke softly, leaning back on him, smiling at Jared as he came to them, doing their handshake.
Y/n giggled a little as Jared jokingly slipped on the last step before waving to the crowd while Jensen messed with Jared in picking him up and making sure heâs ok. Y/n rolled her eyes at their antics before sitting on the middle seat, waiting for the guys to sit down before shaking her head. She tried to keep a smile on her face as the Q&A begun.
Y/n smiled out to the crowd as the crowd settled down from the comedic start, waving at some of the phones that were evidently recording. Jensen couldnât help but watch y/n for a moment with a slight smile before turning his attention back to the fans as the questions begun. Y/n was relieved that most questions were upbeat.
âAre you alright Jared?â Y/n asked, placing a hand on Jaredâs arm in comfort.
âI donât know, that was a big fall.â Jared stated, pouting a bit.
âWell with your height Iâm not surprised.â Y/n teased him, and he gasped in mock hurt as laughs were heard.
âWhy I never.â Jared stated.
âSheâs back.â Jensen smiled to the crowd, holding a hand to y/n as Jared moved away from y/n.
âMy question is for Jensen and Jared.â A woman around the lads age spoke out.
âThatâs exclusion.â Y/n piped out, pointing at the woman who looked down.
âNow y/n, letâs not be rude and let the nice lady ask her question.â Jensen scolded y/n jokingly, causing y/n to hang her head in shame.
âI have grown to feel like I have watched y/n grow up on screen, and I find it emotional watching her character evolve from the little scared girl to the young independent woman, and I was wondering how does it feel to watch y/n grow from the little 7 year old girl to this young 21 year old woman we see in front of us today.â The woman spoke, and y/n blushed as she looked down.
âWell I for one am personally incredibly honored to have had the chance to be around y/n since she was so young, you know. Itâs not something that typically happens in our line of work, you know, working for 13, 14 years together. You generally donât get that opportunity a lot of the time.â Jensen spoke, using his hands to express himself.
âMost of the time children donât last very long on a show, they just donât have the attention span. So when I first seen that there was going to be a little girl or boy, we didnât know at the time whether or not Dean and Sam were going to have a little brother or sister, I was a little taken aback. Because the hours we do are so demanding and obviously you canât have a child on set for 13 14 hours a day, you know, itâs not realistic. But y/n, you know, the moment we done auditions with her, we automatically knew that she was a good match for us.â Jared explained, smiling at the memory of their first meeting.
âY/n was this shy little girl when she came in and as soon as Bobby called action she just turned like that â Jensen clicked his fingers together, âShe was amazing, and I mean you guys seen on the show how great she was.â Jensen bragged, causing cheers to abrupt from the crowds.
âAlright alright.â y/n spoke, using her hands to tell them to pip down.
âNo but honestly, this woman. She really is something else. I mean watching her grow up, I have enjoyed it. I still remember her clinging to me on set every day for the first few months of filming. She would refuse to leave my side if she could.â Jensen smiled softly, placing a hand on y/nâs shoulder.
âYea she took to you really quickly, which kinda hurt I wonât lie.â Jared joked at the end, making y/n smile sadly at him. âNah, but she has truly become family, and there is nothing that I wouldnât do for this kid.â Jared spoke proudly, taking y/nâs hand in his to give it a squeeze.
âI still remember when she was young she came to these conventions and mostly stayed behind, but every now and then she would run on stage, if the guys were playing she would dance with the beat until myself or Jared would take her. She would just sit there with her goofy little smile, poking us with her little fingers until we would jokingly bite them.â Jensen spoke with a laugh, causing y/n to giggle slightly.
âNow she hurts with her words so I guess some things never change.â Jared joked causing y/nâs jaw to drop in mock shock.
âShe has grown so much more confident in herself which I love to see. Iâm like a proud father I have to say.â Jensen spoke with a smile, causing the crowd to awe as y/n leaned her head on Jensen's shoulder.
âThank you for your question.â Jared smiled at the woman before they moved onto a younger girl.
Moving to the corner of the stage, y/n kneeled down as she watched the girl rush towards her. Tears built in y/nâs eyes as he wrapped her arms around the girl who was close in age to her, breathing out heavily as she controlled her emotions before speaking.
âHey guys, my nameâs Amelia.â The girl spoke softly.
âHi Amelia.â Y/n smiled at the girl who was close to y/nâs age.
âWhoâs your question for Amelia?â Jared asked.
â My questions for y/n.â She spoke hesitantly.
âYes.â Y/n celebrated, smiling widely at the girl.
âI donât want to thread on your emotions and I know this is a little personally, but as we all know you just lost your mum to cancer.â The girl spoke timidly, and y/nâs breath hitched a little as she nodded, â And well, I recently just got told that my mum hasnât got that long left so I was just wondering, how do you deal with that news?â
Jensen and Jared looked at y/n with sad smiles, not knowing how she would react or what to say.
âCan you come closer, because firstly I want to give you a hug.â Y/n spoke with a cough, and she dropped the mike on the chair as she got up.
Y/n smiled a watery smile as she felt the tears begin to fall. Quickly wiping them she stood back up from her position and headed back to where Jensen and Jared were watching the scene with sad smiles. Jared placed a hand on her back as she grabbed her mike and sat back down before Jensen took her hand, squeezing it.
âYou make your mum proud, I can tell how much she means to you. My mum meant a lot to me too,, still does. But you have to brave for her which isnât easy. Watching her go from the strong woman you know to someone who relies on you for everything isnât easy. Iâve been there, itâs not nice. But you canâ show her how you feel. If she sees you smile, sheâll be happy. And thatâs all that matters.â YY/n whispered to her, not breaking the hug.
âIâm scared of life without her.â The girl sobbed.
âI know you are, I was too. I still am, just remember the good times. And remember, there are people around you who are there for you. Iâm here for you. Never forget that.â Y/n whispered before kissing the girls cheek and moving apart from her.
âThank you.â The girl stated softly, wiping her cheeks.
âIt doesnât matter who you are or what age you are, grief is always tough. It comes in waves. But it hits different when youâve been told your going to lose someone close to you, and you have to grieve them while theyâre right in front of you. You grieve the times you had before and the times youâll never have. But what never changes, is the love you have for them.â Y/n spoke with shaky breathes, and the crowd smiled weakly at her. âI love you mum.â Y/n spoke softly into the mike, and Jensen pulled her into a hug as the tears began to fall.

So I saw this popular post floating around amid the Watcher drama-
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d560c43e1712c813985281e8638c30cf/c90d41bf53414e99-b3/s540x810/b22a12b2a0436dfcb8aa1bfa0ee786d09aaac30e.jpg)
-and here is my response to that with some iconic Watcher quotes:
Shane: "What's the deal with cousins?" - in TMS season 3
Ryan: "Hey dipshit, are you scared?" - in TMS season 3
Steven: "What's the trauma version of nostalgia?" Shane: "Trauma?" - in Pod Watcher ep 5 (aka the glorious Nose Soap Apple ep)
Shane: "I don't like people to acknowledge me as a human being." - in Are You Scared of Working Out
Ryan: "Class dismissed, you little blue ball sack." - in Puppet History's The Dreadful Demise of the Dinosaurs
Steven: "Who cares, man!" - in Making Watcher ep 4
Shane: "As soon as there's an element of competition, my brain just quits" - in Weird Wonderful World Roller Derby ep
Ryan: "You killed me!" Shane: " You're dead?" Ryan: "Yeah, because you asked for a blowjob." - in Survival Mode Demonologist
Steven: "Oh, I can't process the world right now." - Steven Eats Through Korea for 24 Hours Straight
Bonus one from the Patreon because I think about this moment at least once a day:
*answering the question on when would a gen z bark* Sam: "during doggy style?" Shane in disapproving dad voice: "Sam!"
and that is just a few quotes that I think about or quote from time to time. If you have a favorite quote and want to add to this post to out-ratio the original blogger- go for it!
Now my little rant that I've been trying to keep in but imma just add it here: it seems that most of the haters throwing out nasty comments seem to be old BFU fans who only watch Ghost Files and can not let go of the past and does not realize that BFU has been over for almost 3 years now. Guess what?
It's.
Never.
Coming.
Back.
It's totally ok to miss and grieve the loss of something you love, but continuously comparing Watcher to just BFU is tiring. Watcher is so much more than BFU, and if you guys would just simply read Watcher's company motto then you would know that.
So how about instead of living in 2018, you come and join us in 2024 and recognize that Shane Madej, Ryan Bergara, and especially Steven Lim are still fucking hilarious alongside the wonderful team at Watcher.
ps: I decided to use a screenshot and cut out the name instead of reblogging the op's post because I simply do not want to give them any more attention.

Anonymous this is for you- your Ask-I had drafted a post but I have no idea what happened to it.
The imbalance in Cobra Kaiâs portrayal of characters is one of the most significant flaws in its storytelling. The trauma experienced by the LaRussos, particularly Daniel and Sam, is often overlooked or downplayed, while other characters are given far more narrative sympathy. For instance, Daniel is still clearly haunted by his experiences with Terry Silver, which is why heâs so strongly opposed to Cobra Kai and what it represents. However, the show often frames him as overly rigid or out of touch, failing to fully explore the lasting impact Silver had on his life. Instead, Daniel is depicted as someone who just doesnât âunderstandâ Johnnyâs intentions, further fueling the tension between them. This dynamic is especially frustrating because much of the conflict in the earlier seasons stems from miscommunicationâwhether itâs between Sam and Miguel, Robbie and Johnny, or Johnny and Daniel themselves.
Similarly, the show has a tendency to diminish Samâs trauma while elevating Toryâs struggles. Her hardshipsâsuch as her unstable home life, her motherâs illness and her predatory landlordâare rightfully explored in a way that makes her a sympathetic character. However, Samâs equally harrowing experiences are rarely given the same attention. She was physically attacked by her, witnessed Miguel being kicked off a balcony and struggled with anxiety and PTSD. Yet, when Sam lashes out or stands up for herself, she is quickly labeled as âproblematicâ or âlacking understanding.â For example, when Sam organised a car wash to raise money for Miguelâs surgery, Cobra Kai members hijacked the fundsâa cruel act that was brushed off as just another âcoolâ move by Cobra Kai. Later, when Sam fights back against Cobra Kai and tensions escalate, she is unfairly blamed for Dimitriâs broken arm, even though it was Hawk who broke it, egged on by Tory.
Season 3 particularly highlights the showâs mishandling of trauma. While Tory is given depth and understanding for her actions, Sam is often vilified or dismissed. The same can be said for the showâs framing of Cobra Kai overall: their morally questionable actions are excused as part of their âedgyâ nature, while Miyagi-Do and the LaRussos are held to impossibly high standards. This imbalance is frustrating for viewers who grew up with the clear moral lines of The Karate Kid. While morally gray characters can add complexity, Cobra Kai takes it too far, often undermining the heroes and giving too much leeway to the villains.
At its core, the original Karate Kid story was about good versus bad, with clear lessons about standing up to bullies. By muddying these waters, the show risks alienating fans who appreciated those distinctions. The LaRussos, particularly Sam and Daniel, deserve a more balanced portrayalâone that acknowledges their struggles and humanity rather than constantly casting them in a negative light for reacting to the challenges they face.

In Defence of Beauty Marked
I've been giving it some thought, and I feel that nowadays we judge Beauty Marked too harshly instead of acknowledging it had flaws and virtues. Maybe we even focus on the wrong flaws.
From what I've seen, the episode's main criticism seems to be its heavy-handed message on feminism, especially how the writers use Sam to deliver it. To be precise, people dislike that Sam signed herself up for a contest she had no interest in just to make a point, which I've often seen was perceived as an example of her "not being like other girls" and looking down on more traditionally feminine things like beauty pageants.
While I admit this issue could have been solved by simply making the pageant mandatory and Sam rebelling against something that was imposed against her will, the truth is, Sam's as much of a proactive character as a reactive one, so it makes sense for her to go out of her way to make a point. So the fact that it was a voluntary event really worked against Sam's point in the first place.
I also have the feeling the Phandom's less forgiving reaction towards this episode might be a result of how, in recent years, more and more people have begun to denounce how femininity is often vilified in media. A campaign that I 100% support!
After all, beauty pageants are vilified for the wrong reasons, more so in the 2000s, where most shows featuring them either played it straight (Jake Long, Pucca, The Fairy Odd Parents), or had one of the characters denounce it as sexist (aside from Danny Phantom, Shake It Up also comes to mind). Now, I must admit I'm not their biggest fan either, but at least I understand beauty queens aren't inherently vapid idiots (for all I know, they can be wonderful people and have a degree in astrophysics), and focus my vitriol towards all the abuse happening backstage (pageant parents are a special kind of evil). However, in itself, beauty pageants aren't necessarily a bad thing, just a different kind of competition.
Just like there's nothing wrong with having more tomboyish interests, characters (and real-life people) who care about "girly" hobbies still have a right to exist outside of being the butt of some joke or the writers' punching bag. After all, we're people. We have layers and contradictions and that's beautiful.
I, myself, happen to be a hopeless romantic who loves dresses and skirts, and shopping for bargains, and cute and adorable things. But at the same time, I can be pretty foul-mouthed, I love myself some badass and even gory action scenes, I love weird animals as much as "cute" ones, and I prefer sneakers over heels any day of the week.
However, I feel people tend to misplace this sentiment onto Sam, seeing her as a proponent on "classical" femininity being bad. And they seem to treat this episode as proof, even though that's not what's going on at all.
Without going on too much of a tangent, the thing about Sam is that she's actually quite feminine herself. It's just that the Angry Goth Aesthetic and her design sometimes eclipse that. Ironically, her design also highlights that feminity.
Out of the major teenage girls in the show, the only ones wearing a skirt are both Sam and Valerie, just like they're also the most accesorised onesâwith Sam wearing a choker and a bracelet on each wrist, and Valerie wearing her headband, necklace, earrings, and bracelets. And would you look at that! The girls whose designs include some of the most feminine elements also happen to be the ones spending their free time kicking ghost butt!
Layers, people!
Even outside from that, Sam's also been shown to have other girly traits or interests: even if she was embarrassed to admit it (which is normal for 14-year-olds), she was looking forward to the homecoming dance; she has great empathy for living creatures (mostly plants and animals), and AGIT went as far as to confirm she's a horse girl; she's usually seen with an adorable plushie spider backpack and bat slippers; she has great maternal instincts and the potential to be a very doting and loving mum...
Her problem with the pageant wasn't that it was feminine. In fact, at no point does she look down on the other girls for wanting to participate in it (she only got mad at Paulina for giving her a make-over that wasn't her style, and the feeling was very much mutual). Deep down, moments of hypocrisy aside, Sam understands that every girl has her way of being herself, which is something Dora openly mocked her for.
Sam was against the pageant not because she doesn't like girly things, but because Dora had quite openly stated how she intended to strip the girls of their agency in order to mould them into perfect little princessesâwhich we later learned actually meant turning them into submissive, mindless drones for her brother to marry.
Dora: Well, here's a statement. (holds a hand out towards Sam, standing beside her.) It says I'll never win in this outfit." Sam glares at Dora and puts her hands on her hips. Dora: Still, Ms. Manson has a point. (She walks towards the girls, now all standing in a row.) You girls are unique individuals with strong opinions and independent minds. Sam: You're darn right we are. Dora: It's my job to make you forget that and mold you into happy little princesses. (She smiles with her hands clasped together)
The point of the episode wasn't "femininity is bad", rather "objectifying women is bad".
A message which was exemplified all throughout the episode through the boys' actions, something that actually annoyed all girls, not just Sam, right off the bat, as soon as Dora announced she'd be appointing one of them as a judge.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c69385dd6607224f1fd604d02e180eb9/79fbc865f6008c9e-c1/s540x810/ac172a290072c12f9114e4577bb9b4f890b255fe.jpg)
To be completely honest, something I haven't really seen many people talk about is the absolutely horrendous attitude Tucker and Danny adopted during this episode. I hate to say this, because I love them both dearly, but they were such pigs! Literally the only one who acted as less of a feminist than these two this episode was Aragon, and that's because being a misogynist is his whole shtick.
While it's framed as they getting carried away because they're finally popular with the girls, it still doesn't change the fact that Danny and Tucker spent almost the entire episode (or the entirety of it, in the latter's case) reaping the benefits their new position as pageant judge (and his best friend) gave them to get special treatment and dates out of the contestants.
Doesn't that sound eerily familiar?
A judge (and his best friend) abusing his position to get favours and dates with beautiful girls, who in turn only accept because they hope in doing so they'll get first place.
With the rise of the #MeToo movement, that can get uncomfortable to watch. I mean, even if it was clearly meant to be a humourous moment, Danny literally snapped his fingers to get the girls to act as his bodyguards and to sic them on Dash.
It really says something when the most chivalrous guy this episode was Dash. No, seriously. Even if he clearly wanted payback from Danny hogging all the girls all week, he at least came to their defence when Danny seemingly chose Sam as the winner the first time. An action which, even though we as the audience know isn't what happened, can easily be interpreted as Danny playing favourites with his best friend, yet still be shameless enough to extort dates and favours from the rest of the contestants.
That is definitely not a good look.
I guess what I mean to say with all this is that, while Beauty Marked is far from flawless and didn't exactly pass the test of time, its message and Sam's involvement in it is actually one of the few things that aren't all that bad.

summary: y/n and jack belong together and, while everyone knows it, they acknowledged it. though, at the vanity fair party, the very awaited thing happens.
EVERYONE JUST KNEW Y/N AND JACK BELONGED TOGETHER. And every person who knew them agreed in somethingâit was very frustrating to see them act like a couple and completely deny there was something going on between them.
The cast of Avatar watched their bond born and blossom. It had been two years since they finished filming that movie, and the cast thought that, by now, they had already admitted their feelings, as they continued to work together after Avatar. And, by the way they were acting around each other throughout the Oscar ceremony, they were sure they were finally a couple.
âHoly shit, Jack, Andrew Garfield is two tables away from usâ she said excitedly. âOh god, is that Margot Robbie? Jack please pinch me I think I just saw Robert Pattinson, also known as the love of my lifeâ.
âIâm not going to pinch you, and your fan girl side is absolutely adorableâ Jack said, leaving a kiss on her nose. Y/N laughed and hid her heated cheeks on Jackâs neck.
âIâm so happy for you two!â Zoe told them. The whole table was looking at them as if they were the most adorable creatures in the world.
âWhat do you mean?â Jack asked confused.
âIt was very obvious, you two had always acted like a couple around set. We all knew you would eventually get togetherâ Sam said.
âOh! No, we are not together. Weâre just friends. And we do not act like a coupleâ Y/N said. The whole table let out a groan.
âI canât with these two anymoreâ Stephen sighed.
Jack and Y/N exchanged glances, but said nothing, letting the ceremony continue.
AT THE END OF THE CEREMONY, THEY ENDED UP GOING TO THE VANITY FAIR PARTY. How could they not? Especially after Avatar won an Oscar. They had to celebrate. And above all, Y/N and Jack wanted to get Zoeâs words out of their minds.
âY/N?â a voice that sounded familiar asked. The girl turned her head around to see one of her ex co-stars, Nick.
âOh, god. Nick! Hi. Itâs been so longâ she said excited. He was one of the first people she worked with, and one of her first friends.
âYou look amazing!â he said, looking at her emerald dress.
âThank you, you tooâ Y/N smiled politely.
âWanna dance?â Nick asked. Y/N looked around, Jack was supposed to bring some drinks, but he was nowhere to be seen. She was about to decline, when she caught his figure. Jack was talking with a very gorgeous girl, who had her hand on his bicep and was smiling at him in a flirty way.
âActually, Iâd love toâ she clenched her teeth, eyes not leaving the scene as Nick led her to the dance floor.
âYou okay?â Nick asked. Y/N blinked, finally looking at him. She faked a smile and nodded as they made a conversation.
Hearing Y/Nâs laugh, Jackâs head turned around and closed his hand in a fist at the scene in front of himâhis Y/N dancing with some boy and laughing at something he was saying. And his hand was on her waist. Her. Waist. Not caring about being polite to the nameless girlâwho canât seem to get her hand off his bicepâanymore, Jack marched towards the dance floor.
âHey, can I steal you for a second?â Jack asked, not bothering to greet the boy dancing with Y/N. âGreat thanks, letâs goâ he said before Y/N could even open her mouth.
He led her to the large window at the end of the room, which led them to a beautiful antique balcony. âWhat the fuck was that?â Jack spat angrily once he closed the door, blocking the sound of the party. The chilly wind of the night embraced them.
Y/N looked at him in surprise, then in annoyance and crossed her arms in front of her chest âWhat the fuck are you talking about?â
âThat⊠in thereâ his tone was hard âYou were dancing with him, and giggling and flirting⊠what was that?â
Y/N scoffed âI could ask you the same question, mister. I mean, what was going on there between you and Mrs. Clingy?â her nose scrunched as the image of the girl touching Jack crossed her mind.
âNothing was going on between me and-â he paused and frowned âMrs. Clingy? What?â.
âOh, Jack your hair looks so pretty tonight! Oh Jack, your suit is very stylish and the fabric is so soft! Can I touch it? Oh Jack, have you been going to the gym lately?â she imitated the girlâs pitched voice, while touching his arms âHoly fucking shit, the mice from Cinderella sound less annoying than herâ
âThat is not what she was saying at all!â Jack rolled his eyes. Lies, that kinda was how the conversation went âWhat about your boy, then? As if he wasnât being all clingy, with his arms on your waist and showing you his charming smile, which in my opinion isnât as charming as the girls on twitter sayâ.
The girl furrowed her eyes âThe girls on-? never mindâ Y/N sighed âWe were literally dancing! What was he supposed to do with his hands?!â she exclaimed in a loud voice.
âWell, why were you dancing with him in the first place?â Jack asked, his tone matching hers.
Y/N moved her arms frenetically, it was something she did when she got frustrated âHeâs my friend! We did a movie together a long time ago, we were catching upâ
Jack let out a dry laugh âHe sure as hell doesnât want to be your friendâ
âOh, you read minds now!â she said sarcastically.
âIâm not stupid, I certainly can tell when a guy wants a girlâ
âYouâre totally wrong, but if he did, what is the problem?â
âThereâs no problem!â he forced a laugh. âWhy would there be a problem? You can flirt with whoever you want, dance with whoever you want, date whoever you want!â
âThen what is this discussion for?!â Y/N looked at him, she was basically breathing flames when she talked. âThere clearly is a problemâyou can flirt with girls but for some reason I canât flirt with boys?? And you have to drag me away to cause a useless fight and canât even tell me whatâs the real reasonâ.
âSo you were flirting!â Jack pointed an accusatory finger at her.
She let out a groan of irritation âThatâs what you got from all that?! Really?! Why are you being so insufferable right now?â
âBecause I fucking love you!â Jackâs statement was as loud as the beats of her heart when she took in his words. âAnd I canât stand seeing you dance with him, looking so fucking angelic. It drives me nuts how he gets to hear you laugh and your sweet voice. I want you to dance with me, I want you to laugh with me, I want the hand on your waist to be mine⊠and you know what else I want?â he asked, his voice gradually lowered as he spoke, and now it was soft as silk. And his face was only inches away from hers. Y/N was speechless, so she just shook her head âI want to kiss you, and I want everyone to seeâespecially himâ.
âYou are so⊠frustratingâ she sighed, now her tone was calmer âHe is just my friend, I promise. And I donât want anyone but you, Jack. Ever since I met you on set, you have been the only boy on my mind. I donât care how charming his smile isâ she said, and Jack whispered ânot that charmingâ. âHe is not youâ.
Jack smiled at those last words. He brought his hand to the side of her face, to pull away a strand of hair that fell from her ponytail âIâm sorry for acting like a jealous boyfriend. I had no right, it just⊠it pissed me off as much as it scared meâ.
âScared you?â she asked confused, leaning into the softness of his palm.
âThe thought of you being with someone else, and losing you before I even got to tell you how I felt⊠it scared meâ he confessed.
Y/N basically threw herself in his arms âI love you, Jack. And Iâm sorry too, I also acted like a jealous girlfriend. And if it makes you feel less guilty, I was two seconds away from leaving the place with brunette strands of hair as a trophyâ
At that, Jack bursted out laughing âYou remind me of that villain bunny from The secret life of petsâ
âJack!â she laughed, pushing his shoulder gently.
âYouâre so cute. I love youâ he smiled as he left short kisses on her cheeks.
âJust for the record, you are also the least intimidating-looking guy ever. You are literally a golden retrieverâ
He grimaced âIâm a cat personâ
Y/N rolled her eyes, smiling from ear to ear âJust kiss me, dorkâ.
Jackâs hands grabbed her cheeks as she raised her head to meet his lips. Their chests tightened as they became addicted to the softness of each otherâs lips and the taste of cherry that Y/Nâs chapstick provided. Her fingertips lost between his long curls as his traced circles on her blushed-covered cheeks.
They cursed the oxygen as they pulled away, breathless and complete mesmerised by the other, as if there were under the influence of some kind of spell. The magic broke with the sound of an opening door, and Y/N couldnât help rolling her eyes at the sight of the brunette girl.
âJack! I have been looking for youâ her high pitch tone made Y/Nâs jaw clench. âOh, sorry. You donât mind if I steal him, right?â she asked Y/N, a fake smile plastered on her face.
Y/N mimicked her smile âHeâs busy right now. Come back neverâ
Jack tried not to laugh âSorry, I want to be here with my girlfriend. Thereâs a guy on table 5 called Nick who is totally your type, though, youâll like himâ
The girl, clearly confused, turned around and left them alone. Y/N looked at Jack âCan we get out of here? I hate partiesâ.
âSure, love. Movie and ice cream?â he asked, grabbing her hand and intertwining their fingers. Their hands, as always, fitted just right. Like they were made to go together, like they belonged togetherâjust like Y/N and Jack.
Y/N smiled and kissed his knuckles âYou know me so well, I love youâ.

Things I don't understand
So, I get Samâs attractiveness. Heâs very good looking by most standards, plays a lovable character in a show with an invested fan base, and is nice to fans who meet him in person. Add to that the money heâs raised through MPC and other endeavours, and his approachability, yeah, I get it.
But do these things erase all other aspects of who he is and the work he does to the point where they donât matter at all? Is he worthy of admiration outside of his outer shell? For me, the answer is no, because I believe that true beauty is more than skin deep and that being paid to be nice doesnât really count as a good measure of character.
That being said, I could admire an actor's craft despite his physical appearance or his character if he excels at it. But those who have eyes to see know Sam has not excelled as an actor since the first half of OL Season 3 if Iâm being generous, and in none of his other acting projects since.
What I donât understand is why some people refuse to acknowledge that and some of the things he does, like him being a player and âdatingâ woman after woman, probably with overlapping, hiring an escort when no other option could be secured, being petty and throwing tantrums or unfollowing people close to him or their business, when feeling challenged.
These aspects of Samâs are there for everyone to see. You donât have to judge him for them; heâs his own man and can do whatever he wants, and we all have character flaws after all. You can still like him (I do), or even admire him (sorry, that I canât) despite them if thatâs what you want to do, I donât care.
But to just refuse to acknowledge these aspects exist despite all the evidence? I donât understand that. (Please note that Iâm not talking about shippers here; theyâre an entirely different story.)
It makes me wonder about the motivations of those who see but refuse to acknowledge. Some refuse to see, actually avoid seeing at all costs, but I put those in the same basket as shippers.
I'm talking about those who see but find excuses, or say we can't know for sure. At what point does 1+1=2 for these people? Are they afraid to destroy the house of cards theyâve built? Sometimes I think theyâre afraid of how theyâll view themselves once their goggles are off.

Here we go (Steph Catley x Caitlin Foord x Reader)
Very Adulty, Minors DNI, Do not read if you don't want anything 18+,
You'll bounce back, minor part two, was requested.
*I will mark the sentence with a star if you wanna only read up until the spicy point, though.
The cheers of the stadium were ruthless.
Deafening even.
But none of that bothered any of you. All you cared about was the roar of your own teammates as you ran to meet them on the pitch, jumping into the waiting excited arms of your adoptive older sister. (Unofficial, but your family ensured that it didn't matter after their blatant disinterest in your life.)
Charlie's just about screaming in your ear when you meet her in the air, and you match that.
They did it... they beat Canada. Four to nil at that. None of you had been expecting a blowout, not against the olympic champions.
But here you were, standing on the green pitch of the stadium in Melbourne, watching as your teammates, your real family, surround each other, screaming into the electrified air of AAMI Park.
As you drop from Charlie's grip and give her head a slight rub to make sure she still feels fine, your gaze turns to the Canadians, watching as Vanessa Gilles sobs into her teammates, an old friend of yours, having spent your days at Cincinnati together.
You jog over to her, finding Ellie beat you to her Lyon teammate, holding her and telling her how proud she is of the defender.
You grab the girl as soon as she let's go of the aussie defender, pulling her into you and she buries her face into your jersey, you can feel the tears pouring from her eyes as she shakes softly. "Hey Van, I'm so proud of you hun, you've done so well. You played so hard and did the best you could."
You hold her and rub her back for a bit, whispering (more like just saying with the volume of the crowd at this point) words of encouragement to her.
She nods slightly against your shoulder as you do so. She let's go of you after a quick kiss to the temple, and she goes off to find her other teammates in the lockers.
From there, you continue comforting what of the canadian players you can and turn to your teammates beginning to make their rounds around the pitch for the fans.
Each of them have their moment with the crowd, firing them up, throwing their arms in the air. You chuckle watching as Teagan and Sam take their turns, and you run over to the group, taking the opportunity to run into Charlies side, wrapping your arm around her neck and fulfilling that promise you made her a week ago.
She wacks at you and takes off running when you give chase, laughing the whole way. It only ends when one of the training staff grabs her to chastise her for running around while she's on concussion watch as it is.
You only feel a little guilty, though.
As all sisters do.
Mini gives you a slight shake of her head, though, which has you laughing harder, amused but disappointed with you as she walks beside you now.
The shorter woman wraps an arm around you as a wave to the fans, the noise growing louder with each passing acknowledgement.
You're surprised you haven't been defeaned given the level of noise. The support was something you'd never be able to forget. The turnout was amazing, and the warmth it spread through you to see so many people come to watch this game.
"Oi, y/nn, you gonna go see 'em yet?" Mini subsequently points to Steph and Caitlin as they walk just ahead of you, arms around shoulders. You shake your head. "I'll find them later. Let them have this."
She only raises a brow at you, and hip bumps you. You chuckle, but don't explain.
You'd let them have their moment. They spent the entire game on, this was their time, and you could congratulate them later.
Eventually, once you all round the pitch, you return to where the family section was, watching as Katrina climbs the barrier to go see Harper and her fiance, your impromptu second mom now, and Sam goes to pick up her nephew and throw him in the air in the excitement.
You join them in celebrating after a moment, hugging Clara as she cheers into your ear. You're joined by Cha Cha moments later, Harper very indignantly insisting she goes to her favourite player now. Charlie, of course, that is. You pout playfully and tickle her when she giggles at your expression.
She eventually does climb into your arms and gives you the biggest hug of the day, you hold her tight and proceed to blow raspberries into her cheek to which she squeals and holds out for Mum to take her from you. "Mummy, save me!"
Katrina just laughs, and you give Harps over with a grin. Katrina gives you a kiss on the temple when you lean down to hug them both.
Waving your temporary goodbyes with the family, you slip over to Sam and her nephew, giving Sam a playful whack to the butt as you pass by them.
"Oi! Watch it, missy, there are kids here!"
You laugh when she tries to flick you, dodging just out of reach before making grabby hands for the child nestled in her neck. He turns to you and does the same, leaving Sam with a playfully offended look on her face.
She reluctantly hands him over, and you hug him tight before giving him back to Sam's sibling.
You pat her on the back and eventually move to observe your teammates, watching on as they all celebrate with their families. Emily, with her fiance, Ellie, with her dad, Charlie, with her parents and brother.
You know you have the girls, they're your family, you have your girls, Steph and Caitlin, and they're your family too, but you can't help missing what it was like to have your biological parents cheering you on from the sidelines.
They would come to all of your games, and you'd swear they were always the loudest in the crowd, faces painted green and gold and screaming for you with every touch you made.
Too bad that had to end.
They'd stopped coming the moment you announced you were dating a girl. They stopped talking to you. Their last words to you were, "Get out."
You'd been kicked out, and from then, Katrina was very quick to take you in. When she was transferred to the swedish league along with the birth of Harper, the two of you became thick as thieves, soon joined by Charlie and eventually welcoming in Clara.
As much as you missed the cheering, adoring family you once had, you would never exchange it for the family you have now, the one that treats like you like a real human being, with respect and all the love in the world.
Your eyes water a little, overwhelmed by how far you'd come since then, ever glad to have found the family you'd finally been dealt.
You wipe any remnants away quickly, though, and by the time everyone's finished, you're all being urged to return to the changerooms. All haggard but buzzing nonetheless.
The celebrations are rapid to return in the changerooms, dancing around to what you assume is one players speakers blasting Christina Aguilera's "Feel this moment." Being careful not to test your ankle too much with the movement.
You shout out the lyrics alongside your best friend, arm in arm, as beers are passed around for an hour or so. Come time to leave, and everyone's packing up their gear, you hear Tony yell out. "Alright ladies, party hard, but we need you back tomorrow, ready for recovery and our session with cryo. Congratulations, and I'm so very proud of you all."
Whoops and cheers fill the air as you all file onto the bus. You sit next to Hayley, wanting the calmer aura around the winger, as the air around the bus still buzzes with life. You're met with victory chants. (Courteously led by one Lydia Williams herself) and youâre met with cheers and screams around the bus all the way back to the hotel.
__________(stop here for no 18+ stuff at all)
By the time you've all returned to the hotel, you're all more than a little exhausted and slightly buzzed, and yet the others all call out plans to head to one of the local clubs, ready to party further.
You're left with Steph, Caitlin, Katrina, Sam, and Emily, the only group not wanting to exhaust yourselves any more than necessary.
All of you make your way up to your rooms, and you take the opportunity to shower off fully and slip out into the hallway, making your way down to your girls' room.
You're surprised when you don't even have to knock on the door before you're pulled into the room by hands from both girls.
Steph and Caitlin don't waste any time pressing you between them. Steph takes your lips with her own, and you let out a surprised hum against her. The striker behind you has you gripped by the hips, pulling you back into her as she nips at the skin on your neck.
You moan softly, and Steph slips away from your lips and moves kisses down your jawline, down the column of your throat and nips at the skin of your collarbone, tugging softly.
Letting out a breathy groan, leaning back into Caitlin, "I'm so proud of both of you, my group champs." Caitlin's breathy chuckle in your ear sends shivers down your spine.
"I think a little midnight feast is in order, don't you, Stephy?"
The look in her eyes says all you need to know.
*((Smut ahead))
((Seriously, if you don't wanna read smut, don't read ahead, the story ends at the star))
The defender smirks against your neck, looking up into the eyes of the girl behind you before stepping back from you completely to bring her hand up to your chin to tilt your head back to face her, locking gazes with you directly.
"I think, since you've so eagerly suggested as such, you should go first, pretty girl."
Behind you, Caitlin cocks a brow at the suggestion, barely waiting a second before she tugs at the hem of your shirt with a purr.
"Don't mind if I do."
You whine when you don't feel the warmth of your girlfriend pressed against your back. Your shirt is slipped off, and you're pushed back onto the bed with a heavy layer of eagerness.
Caitlin is quick to press down onto you and push you towards the middle before Steph nudges you to lean down on her front as your legs hang from the end of the bed. The striker's knees are pressed on either side of your hips, pinning your lower half to the matress, and she leans down to hover over you.
Her breath fans your neck for a moment as she kisses a path up your throat and takes your bottom lip between her teeth, tugging lightly at it before letting it go. Your chest is almost heaving at this point.
There's a lightheaded buzzing behind your eyes and heat settling in your gut as she kisses you again, sucking at your bottom lip to soothe her earlier ministrations. She then leans up to press a kiss to your other girlfriends lips, and Steph grabs her by the neck to hold her in place for a minute, Caitlin's tongue giving a cheeky swipe at her own, dragging a small groan from the defender.
Caitlin pulls away with a mischievous grin as she keeps her gaze locked with Steph's. She moves down to the floor, knees resting on the carpet as she moves to tug at your training joggers.
You all too happily lift your hips to allow her access, and when you go to grab her to urge her to move closer, you're met with Steph pinning your wrists to the bed below you.
You whine looking up at the defender. She simply chuckles, using your current position to hold you in place, distracting you just long enough for Caitlin to have grabbed you by the thighs to hold you down.
Their hands are hot on your body, and you feel like you're gonna combust at any point.
"Patience sweets, let her take her time, she's earned this meal, don't you think?"
And you can only whimper in response. Although something along the lines of a plea does come through, you're not entirely sure.
Everything feels so fuzzy, but in an ecstatic way.
Steph's lips on yours are grounding, yet they make your head feel light as you're settled back down onto the mattress. Steph's now sitting back on her haunches, hands still tight on your wrists, leaning over you.
Another kiss to your lips is enough of a distraction that the moment Caitlin's tongue makes contact, it has you keening and begging. It's on the fabric of your underwear, but it still has you gasping into the older girl's mouth.
The girl below you loosens her hold on your thighs, running her fingers gently over the skin above the waistband. She slips the tips of her them under the elastic, letting it snap back into place. Once. Twice. Three times. Your hips cant slightly the third time.
"Hold still for me baby." You let out a high pitched whine but keep your lower half planted firmly. She brushes the skin on the inside of your thighs, sending goosebumps down both of them. Before she sits up fully and
"Up."
You do as your told with little fuss, lifting up to allow her to tug the fabric down.
"Cait, please." It's breathy. It's almost whimpered out, but it gets your point across. She chuckles, but relents and her thumb comes into contact with your clit, pressing enough to have you moaning out loud. Steph hushes you softly. "Shhh pretty girl, we don't wanna be too loud. Wouldn't want to draw attention, would we?"
You obediently bite down on your lip, but it's then Caitlin decides is the perfect moment to lick a stripe up your slit and your mouth drops open. Steph is quick to let go of your wrist to silence you. Leaving your left hand free, but you only grip onto the white sheets, fisting them tightly.
The moan reverberates from your throat, though, and almost echoes in the room.
The smirk on the strikers face tells Steph that was entirely intentional. Not that you're paying much attention to that at this point. You can only focus on the feeling of her arms pulling your legs over her shoulders, holding her head closer to your centre.
"Careful."
It's a light scold, but Caitlin raises a brow cheekily. It's when she dives straight into your wetness, lapping at you before sucking harshly at your clit, that you know she'll be in trouble later. You're preening under the heat of her tongue, and her teeth have you shuddering when she tugs gently.
The knot in your stomach twists in on itself almost immediately, leaving you embarrassingly close to the edge already. She could tell immediately after she slips two fingers into you, pressing inside you just right, leaving you almost fluttering around the digits. Your chest is heaving, breath hot and heavy coming from your nose and into the palm of Steph's hand, intermittent with occasional cries of pleasure.
It's in this moment you realise she's dead set on making you cum as quickly as possible, though that doesn't surprise you given she's always competing with the other girl on how quickly they can get you to finish. You'd never had the heart to tell them who was winning that competition, besides, it certainly didn't hurt when they got into a competitive mood like this, especially with such a big win.
With a particularly harsh suck, and a loud keening whine escapes your throat, you're sent over the edge as your heels dig into the clothed shoulder blades of the girl below you and your other hands fingers intertwine with Steph's. Your hips buck against Caitlin's mouth, and she has to pin your waist down with her other forearm to hold you still.
You're still trembling when you come down, legs shaky as she places one last kiss to your clit before she's being pulled up by Steph into a searing kiss above you. The defender almost growls into the kiss, tongue quickly finding its way into the younger of the two's mouth.
When she feels you nudge her by the hip and your hands slip up under her shirt from beneath her, she pulls away, hand gripping Caitlin by the throat, not quite gentle but enough to cut off air.
"Since pretty girl here wants us to make some noise, I think we can put that mouth to use again. What do you think, puddin'?"
You pull yourself out from under them, hands tugging at her shirt as an idea pops to mind. You chuckle darkly.
"How about we turn that mouth into a nice seat for you?"
Caitlin's pupils dilate a little as she's holding direct eye contact with Steph and Steph's eyes darken with grin.
"Perfect idea, baby girl, down on the bed, pretty girl."
Caitlin can barely get a word out before her shirt and bra are basically tugged from her, and she's pushed onto the bed with a rough grunt. Though she has complaints. Steph steps off the bed for a moment to strip completely before she's hovering over the striker, head near the side of the mattress.
Unbeknownst to her, you're currently knelt in front of her, Steph facing you, watching as you give a smirk, gently running your hands over the muscled thighs in front of you, making her jump at the touch.
However, She's quick to pull the blonde brunette down onto her mouth, diving straight in and not wasting any more time than necessary. Steph has to quickly slap a hand over her own mouth to cover a moan as she leans down on the other, which is placed on Caitlin's abs.
Your eyes are hazy watching the two, and when you blink back to, you slip a hand back up to her slit, running a single digit over it before slipping it into her. Caitlin whines below the defender at your touch, urging you on with a small jump of her hips. You abide and slip another in, her warmth clenching around your fingers as you slowly move them. Your mouth soon joins when Steph lets out soft curses and words of encouragement. Which gives you another moment of clarity.
The moment you can feel Caitlin start to tighten around, you slow your ministrations, making the girl on the bed protest.
"Ah ah." You scold lightly. "You don't cum until she does pretty girl."
Your words make Steph herself moan, and she's nearly thrown over the edge by that alone, Caitlin on the other hand, just about doubles her efforts, tongue flicking harshly and sucking on Steph's clit, and you have a smug look on your face as you return to a moderate pace.
It's when Steph has to steady herself as her thighs tighten around Caitlins head that you curl your fingers just enough in a way you know makes the girl finish every time, paired with a particularly sharp suck and both of them tip over the edge, Steph cumming just before the girl below her, hand tight over her mouth to cover any noises leaving her, Caitlin's own moans being muffled by the girl on top of her.
With a shaky breath, Steph carefully pulls away from Caitlin's head after a tap to the leg from the girl and leans back against the headboard as both of them try to catch their breath, Caitlin more so given she was nearly smothered.
You slip up onto the matress with them, kissing both of them, honestly ready to call it in, but Steph has other ideas.
"Not yet, puddin', I think you still have a couple more in you."
Caitlin sits up suddenly with a grin. She looks directly at Steph with a knowing look, and the girl nods at her.
The striker pushes you back down onto the bed. This time, your head lay on the pillows as the other crosses the room to her suitcase, pulling out a dark green and yellow pouch.
What she pulls out of it both almost makes you laugh and moan at the same time. "Really?" Is what comes out instead.
They both laugh, and Steph shakes her head, "I'm not the one who picked it, but I didnât mind. We have one in Arsenal colours already anyway."
The strap in her hand is bottle green and sparkly gold striped, which looks ridiculous, but at the same time, you can't help the pride you feel when you see it.
"Touché."
You grin as you watch her step into it, the harness, tightening it around her waist and legs. Caitlin is about to slip a pillow under your hips when Steph then motions for you to turn over onto your stomach instead.
This sends you reeling back into a dazed state almost, breath hitching when you feel her spread your legs out against the pillow now under your hips, bent back at the knees.
She grips your hips, pulling you just back enough to lift you up enough off the bed to get access to you. She runs her fingers through your folds, dipping two finger into you before bringing them back to her mouth to suck off the juices with a small groan.
She grabs the bottle of lube Caitlin had pulled out of the pouch for her and douses the dildo and a little bit in you as well. She spreads it evenly before tossing the bottle back to the striker.
One hand splayed in the dip in your back, Steph guides the dildo into you with the other before sinking down to the hilt. You gasp and gulp, trying to take in air as she fills you with the silicone toy, your hands gripping at the sheets as your face is buried into the them as well before turning it to the side to look at the mirror attached to the wall.
You watch as her hips press into yours deliciously, holding there until you can give her the go-ahead to continue. You adjust a little to give her more room to move, and she takes it, pulling out slowly and pushing back in a little harsher, leaving you to pant out her name.
She does it again, and you cry out this time as she does it repeatedly before setting a rough pace. She sets herself on her knees as her hips thrust into you roughly, one hand holding you hips, pulling you into her, the other gripping the back of your neck, pushing you into the matress.
Your moans turn louder, and you find yourself chanting Steph's name paired with swears as you clench your eyes shut with a grit of your teeth.
Suddenly, she slows much to your disapproval, and with a tut, she turns your head back to face the mirror. "Watch me fuck you baby girl, or you dont get to come again."
You nod, and she picks up her pace again, pounding you into the pillow, your ass bouncing every time she thrusts into you. It throws you closer with every nudge of your g-spot and sends you gasping into the open air of the bedroom.
"F-fuck Steph!".
Meanwhile, you can see Caitlin in the mirror, pupils dilated as she watches the defender fuck a you shaped indent into the matress. However, she slips off the bed, and you find out why, snatching up the underwear she tossed earlier, she balls it up and uses it to muffle you.
Your eyes roll back when she does, and Steph has to hold back her own orgasm at the sight, feeling you tighten around the strap, starting to push back to meet her thrusts. You almost push up to your elbows, but she only doubles down on you, and you cry out into the soaked fabric, vision blurring, and your thighs clench around hers from the back as your orgasm rips through you, Steph soon joining you afterwards with a muffled cry of her own, hips shuddering as she slows her thrusts, a slew of curses and praises leaving you preening as you just manage to hear them over your heart beating into your ears.
Caitlins hand rests on the girl's back, rubbing gently as she unclips the strap from her hips suddenly.
You shiver when the strap is pulled from you, and Steph has to push herself up to go sit on the other bed. However, you nearly protest hearing the clips of the strap being clipped back in again, and she turns you over onto your back.
"Jesus baby, I don't think I can-." You're cut off by your own moan when she kneels down to lap at you for a few moments, as she raises s questioning brow at you.
"I- oh- for the love of- oh- okay! Okay!" You just about squeak out.
She chuckles and lines you back up, hands on your hips, thumbs dipping into your hips bones to pull you down onto the strap once again.
Not waiting a second longer, she's pounding into you with the same ferocity, panting into your neck as she settles on her feet and elbows. Your legs wrap around her waist as she fucks you. Your vision is already starting to blur again, only this time the sensitivity is higher, leaving you canting and bucking as she takes you.
Your hands grip onto her shoulder blades, fingers digging into the skin of her back, panties still settled between your teeth. Your nails bite into her back, and she has to hold back a growl of pleasure. She loves it when you and Steph mark her, leave bites and scratches in her skin when she fucks you both. Her ego is only boosted by the shouts of pleasure she draws out of you two.
To which, when she hears you cry out louder, she fastens her pace, doubling down and angling her hips slightly more up to hit your spot better. With that, your vision goes flash hot white as you release with a muffled scream.
Caitlin cries out with you, hips jutting, and she moans when she feels the mess you've left on the fronts of her hips and thighs and the sheets below you.
Slowly moving to bring you down, she stops and waits for your breathing to slow as she pulls out of you. You gasp, finally feeling empty as the strap is unclipped and tossed at the suitcase once again, the girl just about collapsing on top of you, still placed with your legs around her.
Steph gets up off her own bed with a slight wobble, and that's when you notice the lack of feeling in your trembling legs. You let out a laugh of disbelief, and Caitlin can only smugly grin, one at having made you squirt and two at having left you with jelly legs. It's only happened two other times, and they were both times done by Steph.
You yank the pillow from under you both and toss it at the doorway to sneak into the wash later.
Steph helps you onto your side, having grabbed a cloth from the bathroom and carefully wipes you down.
If it wasn't for the fact they were professional athletes on a high, you'd be amazed by the energy they still had in them after all of that and 90 minutes of gameplay. After that, both of them clean themselves with a relatively quick cloth bath and settle back into bed with you as you begin to doze slowly. Caitlin settles against your back, and Steph settles against your front.
They both wrap their arms around you, bringing the single bed sheet up to cover what they can of the three of you. Your breathing finally recovered. You press a deep but slow kiss to Steph's lips, and Caitlin sits up on her elbow, so you do the same with her. The mumble whispered words of affirmation against your skin.
"God I fucking love you both."
They both laugh, hands caressing your face, shoulder and hip. "We love you too baby girl."
_________
Breakfast the next morning is a shit show. Emily can't quite look you all in the eye, though she does poke fun at Steph, and Sam lets rip into you about keeping her up for three whole hours. Katrina just shakes her head, rubbing her temples, glad she remembered earplugs for Harper before she left sweden.
The other girls who were out had returned just an hour later to find a dead looking Sam, Mini, and Em, and they all nodded at Caitlin and Steph's door. Of course, they all then just layed into the three of you, teasing and pointing out visible hickeys, Charlie poking the most fun at you, with several hickeys now visble on your collarbone as you sit there with your face in your hands at the day ahead of you all.
"Y/L! CATLEY! FOORD!."
"Oh shit." Caitlin.
Steph just facepalms.
Sam looks vindicated but slightly scared for you at the same time.
All the other girls just ooh and whistle at you all.
Except for Mini, she just slaps you upside the head and glares as you all walk away in a way that only mothers can.
All you can mutter as you all skulk into the meeting room where a furious looking Gustafson is standing, is.
"Here we go."
*Oh my lord, and we're done folks, here you guys go.

@anghraine so i have read the books multiple times and am an avid fan of the movies. I enjoy both for what they are. I think the main difference is that Peter Jackson was very open about what they chose to cut and why from anything I've ever seen. They even have Sam give a nod to the book readers by saying "by rights we shouldn't even be here". No I'm not happy about what they did with Faramir and Glorfindel got jipped, and I would have lover to have seen Elronds sons but at the end of the day there were acknowledgments of what and why. Rings of Power to me has always come off as hiding from any criticism by using the shield of "well if you don't like it it's because you don't like POCs in it". To which I genuinely could not give a fuck less, like there are so many branches of elves that went different ways so that could make sense within what Tolkein established. But don't hide behind that when your writing is just "Sauron is evil. We know. And we know she knows. But we have to make it seem like she's the only one who Has A Clue so we must all try to shoo her off to make a plotline"
@lesbiansforboromir has already correctly and politely pointed out that you are doing the very thing we were criticizing in that postâintruding on ROP fan discussion to unfavorably contrast the show to the Peter Jackson films, while also applying a degree of scrutiny to ROP that the Jackson films are rarely subject to in a remotely comparable way and could not bear. Frankly, @lesbiansforboromir is nicer and more restrained than I am about this, but you chose to tag me as well, so I'll also respond.
We (lesbiansforboromir and I) were talking about being excited about costuming in S2 of ROP and disliking the fandom meltdowns over ROP's costuming looking (somewhat) different from the films' aesthetic. Since it had already come up in their discussion, I added that I'm not convinced by the anti-ROP contingent framing their seething hatred of the costuming and design as just caring so much about fidelity to Tolkien's vision. I pointed out that Tolkien fandom broadly cares far more about their preferred, film-influenced aesthetics than Tolkien's actual descriptions and gave some specific examples of this.
There's been a lot of talk, for instance, about how the universally long, flowing hair for Elves preferred by the fandom and used in the films is actually totally canon according to Tolkien even if it's rarely mentioned in LOTR proper. This is inaccurate. Galadriel's brother Aegnor is typically depicted in the fandom/film-preferred style rather than per Tolkien's description of his hair as "strong and stiff, rising upon his head like flames" (indeed, in general neither Aegnor nor anyone else is ever depicted this way, and this description rarely shows up in the lists of "no it's about ethics in adaptation" Tolkien hair quotes).
Tolkien repeatedly describes Elvish, peredhel, and DĂșnadan women as wearing their hair bound up in braided coiffures with jeweled hair pieces/nets rather than loose and flowing Ă la the films and the fandom. Nobody cares, any more than they care about Tolkien's description of Arwen's clothing as soft, grey, and noticeably devoid of ornamentation apart from a belt and netted cap (i.e. the opposite of her highly elaborate film costuming and typically loose, unbound, uncovered hair in the films and most illustrations).
Meanwhile, my fave Faramir's hair is nowhere near long enough in the films or most art to mingle with Ăowyn's as Tolkien describes. It's usually also depicted as blond, reddish, or brown rather than black as in the book; in Tolkien's LOTR, all described Gondorians have dark or black hair, with the only difference in coloring being that some Gondorians are dark-skinned and some are pale. Again, almost nobody in the fandom cares about this when they're going on about costume design and casting to reflect Tolkien's vision, and male Gondorians are overwhelmingly depicted with short or shoulder-length hair in the films and in Tolkien illustrations.
Popular depictions of Gondor, including the Gondor of the films, very rarely reflect Tolkien's description of Gondor's aesthetic as similar to ancient Egypt, the Byzantine Empire, and the Roman Empire. Film Gondor has, at most, extremely vague allusions to Byzantine architecture amidst the general and deliberate westernization of Gondor's designâas just one example among many, Tolkien's explicitly Egyptian-based design for the royal crown of Gondor is converted to a generically western European-style crown in the films and overwhelmingly in the fandom.
I then pointed out that it's been very noticeable that ROP haters tend to have a powerful double standard wrt fidelity when it comes to the Jackson films. For over 20 years, most film fans have been constitutionally incapable of tolerating even slight criticism of the films without jumping in to defend their greatness and condescendingly explain the most basic elements of adaptation. (Yes, we know film is not the same medium as text, we know changes are part of adaptation to another medium, we all know that, we all know that a word-for-word adaptation would suck and never be made, this is not new information and does not make the PJ films' every choice a good one.) Yet most film LOTR fans who vocally despise ROP display none of the charity towards ROP that they demand for the films (demand even from someone like Christopher Tolkien, a dead man the entire fandom is deeply indebted to, whose dislike of the films still leads to regular attacks on his character from Jackson film stans).
This hypercritical yet hyperdefensive tendency in the fandom is neatly illustrated by the fact that you responded to a conversation about the double standards in evaluations of ROP's costuming vs the films' to go on about how ROP is objectively bad for reasons entirely unrelated to costuming, how you're totally not racist (something nobody was talking about), and to quote you directly, "Like the show was just Bad." Truly, an incisive critique. Meanwhile, your concessions with regard to the Jackson films are mainly about extremely minor and defensible omissions like removing Glorfindel and the sons of Elrond rather than the serious and fundamental problems that lesbiansforboromir and I have with them, or even the ways they do pretty much the exact same things you're lambasting ROP for.
I mean, if we're going to talk about action hero Elves in ROP vs the Jackson films, what about the action hero-ification of Legolas in the films? He was described by Tolkien himself as the Fellowship member who accomplished the least, so super badass battle-skateboarding Legolas hardly represents fidelity to Tolkien's vision. Why should that get a pass while film-stanning ROP haters seethe about ROP!Galadriel being too special, even though Tolkien described her as one of the most special Elves to ever live and specifically as remarkably athletic and insightful?
Meanwhile, film Gimli is reduced to comic relief, the only dwarves taken seriously are conventionally hot ones in The Hobbit films, and Frodo's expressions of strength and fortitude are consistently removed to glorify other characters. Film Gondorians were deliberately designed to seem like useless tin soldiers (which they are in the films, as well as whiter and blonder than Tolkien wrote them) rather than the physically imposing and highly effective fighting force of the book. ROP imagining Elvish rituals upon approaching Valinor that aren't based in Tolkien canon but don't directly conflict with it is absolutely trivial compared to the films' handling of Denethor and Faramir.
The point is not that you, personally, are not allowed to like the films or dislike ROP despite all this. Many people do love the films, including most of my followers. They do have their strengths, though they are extremely racist and few film fans will acknowledge this without soft-pedaling it in some way (esp, since you brought it up, given the context of the truly unhinged degree of racism that has accompanied much of the broader discourse around ROP).
The point is that film fans who hate ROP are constantly showing up in our conversations to be "well actually ROP is just objectively bad, unlike the films, because the show has failings that are also in the films but it's totally different there because of the contents of Peter Jackson's soul" or whatever. The point is the absolutely glaring and obnoxiously hypocritical double standard of defensiveness about the films and obsessive nitpicking of ROP that leads to ROP haters continually going on rants to ROP fans that are unwelcome, uninvited, and usually (as in this case) irrelevant to what was even being discussed.
