Dragon Age (most current and newest obsession)
The TTRPG community in general
Baldur's Gate 3
Warhammer 40k
My OCs :
Pathfinder:
Raphaël Esdras (he/him), Hellspawn Tiefling Inquisitor of Sarenrae. My main OC, the love of my life. Played in my WoTR campaign as well as in the video games. Rawful Good zealot with a martyr complex. (Romancing Sosiel)
Lazare Lune-De-Miel (he/him), Kyton-spawn Tiefling Bard/Warlock, faithful follower of Desna, Shelyn, Nocticula and Cayden Cailean. Small but loud, cheerful and incredibely optimistic. Has twelve moms. Accidently made a pact with a devil when he was 12.
Malthus "Ziel" Drezdan (he/him), Pitborn Tiefling Rogue/Bard, calistrian. Son of a disgraced Abadar cleric. Local weirdo. Scaly little brat. Inventor of emo folk in Golarion.
Zarathustra (he/him), Pitborn Tiefling (mother is a succubus) Alchemist. Vaguely follows Brigh. Climbed the social ladder one murder at a time. Poisonned a noble and married his wife. Except the wife was 100% ok with it. Smart, cunning, ruthless, cruel. Local evil man.
Eon Jarjayes (he/they/she in that order), human, rogue. Varisian Pirate. Ex-slave turned ruthless criminal. Nihilist. Will murder you for one corn chip.
Dungeon and Dragons:
Mycellius (he/they). Spore druid hexblood tiefling. Son of a Green Hag. Absolutely disconnected from reality. Speaks to mushroom. Has no concept of economy or hygiene, good or evil. Fascinated with death and decay.
Nym (he/they). Drider, Gloomstalker Ranger. Ex trophy husband turned drider. Shy, terrified man obsessed with his hair. Actually really sweet and kind deep down. Loves flower and sewing. Quiet and calm.
Dragon Age:
Aloysius Lavellan, Inquisitor, Dalish Elf. Sweet elven mage who's really trying his best to make it to the end. Shy and unassuming yet stubborn and determined. Extremely knowledgable on history, biology and magic, completely clueless about people. (Dating the Bull).
Garrett "Nacht" Hawke, Human. Edgiest mage of all of Thedas. Loves to fuck around and find out. Hates Fenris and yet they're dating.
Artemis Tabris. Rogue, City Elf, Warden. Denerim's own Robin Hood. A disappointment to his family. Still loves his dad very much. Easily angered, very agressive. Worst humor ever. (Dated Morrigan then went on to live happily with Zevran).

I was tagged by @howetrash to do this picrew of my Dragon Age OCs. Let's go.
Warden Commander Brielle Mahariel. Dalish dual-wield rogue, non-canon romance. Inner Circle is Morrigan, Leliana, and Loghain. Isolde and Connor survived, peace between Dalish and werewolves, and Bhelen is king with the anvil destroyed. Solo Queen Anora & recruited Loghain. Dark Ritual performed and archdemon killed. Disappeared as soon as Amaranthine was dealt with and hasn't been seen since, and that's on purpose.
Champion Lilith Hawke. Purple personality, elemental/blood mage. Non-canon romance. Inner Circle is Merrill, Isabela, and Varric. Carver is a Warden. Sided with the mages at the end. Also disappeared after both II & Inquisition.
Inquisitor Artemis Lavellan. Dalish rogue archer, Josephine romance. Inner Circle is Josie, Leliana, Blackwall, Varric, and Solas. Sided with the mages, left the warden in the Fade, Briala rules through Gaspard, and Morrigan drank from the well. Disbanded the Inquisition and vowed to save Solas.
Rook Lotus Aldwir. Dalish Veil Jumper mage, likely focusing on the Death Caller specialization. Probably purple personality. Definitely Emmrich romance. Inner Circle to be determined, but it's looking like Emmrich and Bellara so far. As far as looks go, she's kind of a mashup of Lilith, Artemis, and my other oc, Moria, partially to actually live my Hawke/Orsino pairing, and to give Solas a heart attack when she reminds him of Artemis and Moria, but she'll definitely end up a character of her own that stands out from the rest.

[Image Description: Marian Churchland's Dragon Age OC template filled out with Quin Brosca, a dwarf commoner warden. Quin is shown from the armpits up, leaning in towards the viewer, arms partially forward, while she looks to her right and smiles with her brow partially furrowed. She is wearing faded-looking leather armor with metallic shoulder guards. Her red hair is partially braided back and grows slightly darker in her bushy eyebrows, thin beard, and mustache. She has a casteless brand on her right cheek, in addition to geometric tattoos on her left cheek and above her left eyebrow. Her open smile shows a missing tooth. She has two small scars on her chin to the left of her mouth. In the background, four daggers fan out pointed toward her, and the words "Can I get you a ladder?" appear next to her. Below the drawing, several traits are listed with a line between them to mark where the character falls between the two. Between cautious and reckless, Quin is very reckless; between selfless and self-serving, she is more selfless; between emotion-driven and logic-driven, she is extremely emotion-driven; between forthright and dissembling, she is more dissembling; between friendly and unfriendly, she is slightly more friendly than not; between devout and questioning she is devout; and between trusting and suspicious she is suspicious. Below the traits is a list of her main party: Alistair, Dog, Wynne, and Leliana. Below that, there are a series of symbols that indicate which choices she made throughout the game. The first three indicate she is a dual-wielding rogue, a dwarf commoner, and romanced Alistair. The next row of five indicates she saved the circle, brokered peace between the werewolves and Dalish, destroyed the anvil and elected Bhelen, made Anora the sole leader of Ferelden and executed Loghain, and had Alistair do the dark ritual with Morrigan, thus ensuring they both lived. End of Image Description]
I'm replaying the Dragon Age series (to the dismay of my professors, I assume) which means redoing the art I made back in 2019. First up is my girl Quin, light of my life, bi butch icon who fr deserves the world. Nobody helped her family when they needed it most so she's made it her goal to help as many people as possible. Through extreme violence. I'll post my Hawke and Inquisitor next (I've actually already done my Inquisitor but I wanna post them in game release order), so be on the lookout for that :>
Here's a bonus flat version~
Tumblr media
[Image Description: The same drawing as in the first image, though this time without the background or shading, making the colors easier to pick out. End Description.]
I'll put some relevant stuff in the replies, hopefully, that doesn't get the post nuked. I swear I've been here 10 years nearly and I've got no idea how this works.

Tumblr media
Yvair Viriselan, of Clan Lavellan
Dalish rogue, skilled particularly in archery and tracking. While known to be sarcastic and rather flirtatious, Yvair genuinely is bighearted deep down and prone to self-sacrificial tendencies. Despite being overall a 'proud' Dalish, his beliefs could be considered more agnostic than faithful. While not blindly trusting of humans, Yvair is more willing than some Dalish to allow every human to make their own impression instead of outright assuming ill intent. Canon world state features him as Inquisitor, but a companion verse can be requested.
Tumblr media
Syrillon Viriselan, Of Clan Lavellan
Main story has her father as the Inquisitor and her taking up the role as Rook to go after Solas because she's pissed at him. Can play her either as a Warden or a Veil Jumper since both fit her story depending on how it's played out. Totally fine not being Rook, and not having her father be the Inquisitor. Uses sarcasm for emotional protection and tends to be quick to anger on certain subjects.
Tumblr media
Sebastian Vael, Prince of Starkhaven
Devote Andrastian who despite his strong faith may be considered openminded, or critical of how the Chantry functions at times. He wants to be able to help those in need of it, and can struggle against making rash decisions. Defaults to friendship path, request if intended rivaled.
Tumblr media
Elgaris Viriselan, of Clan Lavellan
Born initially to Clan Viriselan, after her magical capabilities unlocked Elgaris moved to Clan Lavellan alongside her older brother to take on the responsibility of learning to one day become a Keeper. Unlike her brother, Elgaris genuinely believes in the Evanuris. She is lighthearted and optimistic to the point some people may consider her to be naive. Defaults to First of Clan Lavellan, willing to play as Second to another Lavellan.
Tumblr media
Quin, Shadow Dragon
Quin is a run away Tevinter slave who escaped from Venatori at the age of 16 during the events of Inquisition. Main canon has him ending up taken in by one of my Heroes of Ferelden (Tamlen, Warden verse) but it can easily be reworked to fit different narratives. He's a Shadow Dragon. Over all really nice person, he just wants the best for people. Sympathetic of Solas over all. Not intending to play him as Rook, but rather an ally just outside the main group.

Tumblr media
Tamlen, of Clan Sabrae
Raised a proud Dalish, Tamlen is wary of every human until given a good reason not to be. Doomed by his curious nature, the warrior ended up Blighted and conscripted to take on the Blight despite his protests. While he fought against the idea up until his Joining, Tamlen proves to be a great addition to the Warden's ranks. Canon worldstate has him stubbornly become the Hero of Ferelden due to delivering the killing blow to the Archdemon-- if his life is spared in the act, he is out of the loop as to how.
Tumblr media
Fejin Mahariel, of Clan Sabrae
Fejin is morally grey-- someone who isn't concerned if they need to spill blood to get their job done. However as long as it is in their abilities, they will do their best to aid those less fortunate than them. Unfortunately for anyone who is better off, especially if they prove a terrible person, Fejin is not above thievery or other criminal activities. Usually an alternative to Tamlen, but happy to write it where both had survived.
Tumblr media
Merrill Alerion, of Clan Sabrae
Despite turning to blood magic in an attempt to fix the eluvian that cost her the lives of her closest friends (be they dead or simply taken from the Clan), Merrill is nice to nearly everyone unless given a very good reason not to be. She seeks knowledge of her people's past and many may consider her naive or stupid, views she doesn't always try to correct. In some cases she'll lean into that belief and use it as an opportunity to troll or otherwise mess with those around her.
Tumblr media
featured on asala-shokrakar
Tumblr media
Archex, Tal-Vashoth
When it became clear that Archex was going to face re-education due to not quite conforming to what the Qun wanted of him, he took off despite having no idea of what to do with himself after gaining his freedom. In due time, the Qunari happens across a merchant under attack by bandits and steps in to save his life. The human befriends him, even taking him in as family and helps Archex eventually adjust to life as a Ferelden. Verse set for Inquisition, but happy to work out something for any other timeframe.

Dragon Age Exchange Letter 2024
Hello Black Emporium Rare Pair Exchange Writer/Artist!
Thank you for making this gift for me! I know I will love whatever you come up with, but for those who like a little more guidance I have left many prompts in the signup and some general likes & dislikes here.
I'm open to treats of Fic and/or Art and multi-recip treats!
General Likes:  I really like UST and mutual pining, also the corny stuff like “fake married” or “bed sharing” or “arranged marriage” tropes. I LOVE Soulmate AUs more than anything else, I’m an absolute sucker for those. I also like the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope. I also really like cats, so if you give a character a cat, I will be happy
General dislikes: I love angst, but not really hurt/comfort. I love canon deviation and certain AUs, but I really don’t get into any AUs that change the setting for Dragon Age
DNW: any kind of abuse, bathroom kinks, bestiality, crossovers, humiliation, incest, modern AUs, mundane AUs, noncon/dubcon, omegaverse, pregnancy, PWP, second-person POV, underage, whump.
Specific Character/Pairing notes: I tag all my ships on this blog with “character a x character b” in alphabetical order, so if you want to look up what I’ve reblogged/posted on Krem/Harding for instance, look for the tag “harding x krem” and Adaar/Vivienne would be under both “inquisitor x vivienne” and “adaar x vivienne”. OT3s are under the tag “ot3″. A lot of the pairings this year are truly the rarest of rare, so for some of them I may not have any content yet!
For the many Vivienne ships I requested; I do headcanon her and Bastien having an open relationship when they are together, so feel free to use that headcanon if you want!
Now for the spoiler part of the letter. Please let this photo of my cat protect you if you wish to not read Veilguard prompts. Otherwise please scroll past the cat & click read more for more prompts.
Tumblr media
Male Adaar/Solas or Female Cadash/Solas - I put this under the spoiler group because I am in love with the idea that maybe Inquisitors who were shot down by Solas during Inquisition get a second chance at romance in Veilguard. Just imagine the possibilities…
Vivienne/Emmrich Volkarin - Well, she does canonically like silver foxes ;)
Davrin & Merrill (Dragon Age) - LET! MERRILL! PET! THE! BABY! GRIFFON! Ok apart from Assan, I really would love to see Merrill able to make friends with another Dalish elf, and as a Grey Warden Davrin is likely less anti-blood-magic than average. Or at least I’m going to headcanon that he is, until proven otherwise.
Fenris/Neve Gallus - All the joy of pairing Fenris with a mage, with less drama because she’s 100% with him on hunting down maleficars & helping Tevinter slaves. Also I have one word for you: Casefic.
For general Veilguard stuff: I'm planning to play as a lady Rook that is a Dwarven rogue archer named Rhea. If there's a background for Rook that doesn't involve being part of the Carta I'll be over the moon. That's not at all required to include, but I thought I might as well include it

DAV also: 1, 4, and 6!
1. What was the first Dragon Age game you played?\
Origins! My dear friends Aymes and Mits who I have sadly lost touch with decided back in 2011 that I needed to play it, and bought it for me for my birthday that year. I fell in love immediately which meant that later that year I also purchased DA2 XD
4. What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?
Oh gosh. I'll probably dig up Stevie's worldstate, she was not my first Warden but she was my most *beloved* Warden, she was a mage and (through the magic of mods) romanced Morrigan. Stevie did a lot of problem solving and peace keeping, and then eventually ran off with Morrigan into the wilds to raise their babies <3 Then proooobably I will break from our "accepted" backstory in this house for that timeline and have Hawke be my rogue Marina Hawke. With the magic of mods, she and her brother Carver both survived, she smoochified Anders, and they ran off to do stuff. And then 100% my Inquisitor will be Saoirse. Because Saoirse was specifically not ACTUALLY the inquisitor, tho she was mistaken for her, she was the Inquisitor Liaden's partner. (Liaden being my wife's.) They were dalish elves, and Liaden romanced Solas and was heartbroken by him, and Saoirse now holds a fucking GRUDGE. XD So uh... lots of mage support, not a lot of chantry support, and Anders is Out There Somewhere.
6. Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?
I have no idea. I'm going to have to poke at the character creator first. AAAAAAAAAH i'm so exciting. :D

3,4, 6, 8 for the Veilguard game!
Do you usually play as a warrior, mage, or rogue? Which class are you planning to try first this time around? Which subclass?
I always have a lot of fun with different spell combinations. My Hawke and Inquisitor are both mages, and when playing Hamal, I have to admit I tend to switch over to Morrigan to make use of her skills lol. I'm VERY likely to go with a mage; I love a good healing spell. However I don't have a rogue character and it could be worth exploring this time around? idk!
What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?
In terms of in-game canon, I'm not sure how I'll make this work in DAV: Warden Mahariel survived the Blight, Anora is on the throne, Alistair stayed a Warden, so I suppose it'll default to an Orlesian Warden Commander? Because I never played Awakening with Hamal? Leadership does not suit him lol. Hawke romanced Merrill, Carver joined the Wardens, and she sided with the mages in Kirkwall. Then we have Inquisitor Lavellan, Clan Lavellan survived, sided with the Mages, romanced and broke up with Blackwall, disbanded the Inquisition, super estranged relationship with Solas. She considered him a friend and was just blindsighted by events in Trespasser.
In terms of headcanon, it totally diverges from the games. For instance, the Dalish land boon is very much a part of the worldstate I write from; its presence impacts the events in DAI significantly, locking out a number of quests/events. Hamal and Zevran spend years in Antiva, undermining the hold the Crows have on the country and diminishing their power with a group of steadily growing allies. Alistair becomes the Warden Commander in Hamal's absence. Things are quite different in my writing and I imagine it'll be the same with DAV, where it will just not mesh with the timeline I have lovingly crafted in my own head lol. And that's okay!
Do you typically use a preset character and name or spend hours in the character creator coming up with a custom one?
CUSTOM EVERY TIME. I love creating new characters and I can't wait to meet my Rook. It's going to be very special, I'm ready to love them and be surprised by them.
Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?
Nope. Going off vibes. I am tempted by the Antivan Crow background, especially if the game gives you a lot of flexibility in approaching things. Something about the Lords of Fortune also calls to me… a dashing adventurer from the high seas… it compels.
Which character from the previous games or other media are you most hoping will make an appearance in DAV?
I'd love to see Sigrun again, or Velanna.
What faction are you most excited to learn more about?
Lords of Fortune, DEFINITELY wanting to hear what's been going on with the Wardens, and I'll be curious--if critical--of what they do with the Crows.

Do you have a canon run through for Dragon Age? If you do, what is it?
(oh wow my first ever ask :D!) Yes! Yes I do! My canon world state mostly has the "Good" choices (as much as there can be in Dragon Age). Dragon Age: Origins (Warden: Valerie 'Val' Tabris, rogue; assassin+duelist): —Circle saved; Mages supported; Irving alive —Brokered peace between elves and werewolves —Branka killed; Anvil destroyed; Bhelen rules —Connor alive (not possessed); Isolde alive; urn not poisoned —Helped Alistair find Goldana (hardened him); killed Marjolaine (didn't harden Leliana); killed Master Ignacio —Hardened!Alistair and Anora rule together; Loghain was executed —Killed the Architect; both Keep and Amaranthine protected; Oghren and Felsi reunited —Didn't go with Morrigan —Sophia killed; Avernus continues his research ethically; drank the Power of Blood —Companions alive, well, and quests done; romanced Leliana
Dragon Age II (Champion: Arin 'Rin' Hawke, mage; Force Mage) —Joined the mercenaries —Returned Saemus to the Viscount; convinced Templars to leave; sent Feynriel to the Dalish; defended Ketojan from the Qunari; Aveline made guard captain; Carver is a Templar —Aveline and Donnic married; didn't side with Petrice; Bartrand not killed; Varric not allowed to keep Red Lyrium Shard; Isabela returns with the tome; didn't give Isabela to the Arishok; killed the Arishok —Let Zevran go; rescued Nathaniel; reunited Charade and Gamlin; handed conspirators to Orsino; allowed Emile to go free; sided with the mages —Sided with Larius; found Malcolm's will —All companions recruited and friend-manced; Merrill didn't destroy the Eluvian; Merrill's clan is alive; friends with Tabris; didn't kiss Tabris (but did flirt a little :3); didn't approve Ander's actions; killed Anders; romanced Isabela is all three acts. (Before anyone says anything; I have nothing against Anders and I have more playthroughs with him alive than I do dead. I'm all for Ander blowing up the Chantry. Is just Hawke mercy killing Anders because he would've been the number one target for Templars, and to also free Anders from Justice. Role-playing.) Dragon Age: Inquisition (Inquisitor Rhosyn 'Rho' Lavellan rogue; Tempest) —Captured the various keeps; Fairbanks not revealed as a noble; closed the lake's rifts; helped refugees; investigated the dwarven ruins; gained the cultists' support; Imshael killed; rescued the troops from the Avvar inner sanctum reached (<- f*ck this quest in particular) —Inquisition forces were regularly deployed; Sutherland's company was successful; contacted Charade; Jecin and Celeste married for love —Mages allied; declared the Inquisition for order; denied being chosen by Andraste; Samson my rival; saved everyone in Haven (<- frigging mission making me reload a thousand times to save everybody) —Celene alive; Celene rules and reconciled with Briala; Florianne alive —Grey Wardens rebuilt; Stroud left behind in the fade —Respected the temple's traditions; allied with guardians; Rhosyn drank from the well —Leliana made Divine —Met Ameridian; earned legend-mark from Avvar; dragon slain; shared the truth about Ameridian —Saved mines; stopped earthquakes —Bull remained loyal; preserved the Inquisition as a peacekeeping force; attempt to redeem Solas —Everybody recruited and friends with everybody; Blackwall made into a Grey Warden; Solas freed his friend; Cassandra rebuilt the Seekers; Dorian reconciled with his father; saved the Charger and Bull is Tal-Vashoth; Cole more human; gave Vivienne the heart; forced Hammon to work for the Inquisition; Varric tracked down the red lyrium source; romanced Cassandra (<- unfortunately as a male! Inquisitor but it's still part my canon world state) And that's that!

Biggest advice for if you play multiple world states of dragon age
In your brain, figure out how the world would be different if all your protags existed at the same time
This helps nothing but is fun
Like my two main Inquisitors are now elf siblings bickering over all the decisions. Obviously one would have to have the mark and the other is an advisor but it's still funny
My two main Hawke's? Brothers. And somehow in this timeline both twins made it to Kirkwall cause one is a mage and the other is a rogue so obv both would survive
Two main wardens? A Dalish and a City Elf team up to solve shemlem problems.
Try it it's fun

Found this Dragon Age Protagonists Questions post and decided to fill it out for my own Dragon Age OCs from each game. The original post only includes the protagonists from the first three games (since Veilguard wasn't out yet), but I'm going to include my Rook as well since I love her. I also may rewrite the questions a bit, either to condense them or otherwise add in Rook. (And some questions will be skipped, also, either because I can't or don't want to answer them.)
So without further ado . . .
The Cast:
- Warden Lyra Mahariel
- Briar Hawke
- Inquisitor Lucia Trevelyan
- Thalia "Rook" Mercar
1.) What would your protagonists all think of each other?
Lyra: "I like Hawke. She's funny, and not afraid to do what has to be done. Trevelyan is weak, and as annoying as humans come. Thalia's fine, but it's a shame she didn't get to grow up among the Dalish."
Briar: "Good on Lyra for saving Ferelden, and it's fine that she's grumpy; I'm used to that from Fenris. Lucia is all right, I suppose; though anyone that close to the chantry can't be all that trustworthy, can they? I really like Thalia; she reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger. Hope that naivete doesn't come to bite her, though."
Lucia: "The Hero of Ferelden is, well . . . a hero. She managed to save Ferelden and not die killing an archdemon somehow. She's amazing. Hawke is . . . Varric's friend. His best friend. But she's kind of shady, don't you think? And Thalia . . . I thought she understood. I thought we were the same, but she didn't even try to talk Solas down in the end . . . I don't know that I've ever felt so betrayed."
Thalia: "Lyra could stand to relax a little. Scowling that much can't be good for her face. Briar's the best; she gets it, you know? She knows exactly what it is to be in these fuck-ass situations. And Lucia . . . I can't believe she'd still think Solas could've been talked down, after all that. After what he did to Varric. What is wrong with her?"
2.) What do they think about each other's love interests?
Lyra: "Isabella is fun, and not afraid to get her hands dirty. She gets a pass from me. Josephine is a human bureaucrat; she cannot and should not be trusted. Davrin is Dalish, he has griffons, he is devastatingly attractive -- where was he during the fifth Blight? Could we rewind the clock so I could trade Alistair's ungrateful ass for him? 'Going down a dark path' -- that ritual saved both our lives and you agreed, you twit."
Briar: "Zevran's a riot; Isabella has good taste in friends. Josephine seems nice enough, and I like her well enough for that, but it's never a bad idea to be careful of what you say around someone like her. Davrin's a bit gruff around the edges, but again, I'm used to that from Fenris and a bit of Anders. His griffon's a cutie, too."
Lucia: "Zevran is an assassin; one of the Crows. I don't feel comfortable around him. Isabella also makes me uncomfortable, though for a different reason; I've never met anyone who talks so dirty like that, and in public! And to me . . . and how gorgeous she is . . . oh Maker, I can feel my face on fire just thinking about her . . . Davrin is a good man. Brave and honorable. He would have been an asset to the Inquisition."
Thalia: "Zevran is funny! But is what he said about the Crows and what they do to children true? I need to have a chat with Lucanis after speaking with Zevran. The Lords of Fortune couldn't be more lucky with a leader than they are with Isabella; she's a riot like Zevran is. Josephine is warm and kind; I think anyone would feel comfortable in a presence like hers."
3.) Are your Inquisitor and Rook jealous of the Warden's and Hawke's mabari hounds?
Lucia: "No. Mabari are fine from a distance, but they're rather loud, and Skyhold has enough animals as it is."
Thalia: "You have no idea. There's no such thing as too many animals. Still a bit miffed we couldn't bring Assan's siblings back to the Lighthouse."
4.) Combat classes and specializations?
Three rogues and a mage, and the specializations are as follows:
Lyra learned to be both an assassin from Zevran, and a bard from Leliana. Her focus was on ending fights as quickly as possible, by any means necessary. She used both her bow and blades as needed.
Briar focused only on blades, and went for both assassin and shadow. Her focus was being the one to do the hitting, fast and hard, rather than being hit.
Lucia was only ever an archer, and went for the artificer specialization, preferring to lay traps to hinder her enemies and give her more time to shoot them.
Thalia, as a Shadow Dragon, specialized as an Evoker, focusing on entropy and ice magic. She has a staff, but is equally skilled with an orb and spellblade.
5.) What do the others think of what happened in Kirkwall? Would they have supported Hawke's decisions?
Lyra: "Kirkwall is a cesspit and everyone in power there should be gutted like fish. Anders was right to do what he did and I only wish I had been there to help. Hawke should have helped more than she did."
Lucia: "Kirkwall is tragic, but that doesn't mean acts of terrorism are all right. I don't believe in capital punishment if it could be avoided, but Anders should have been arrested."
Thalia: "Where are Kirkwall's Shadow Dragons? The people should rise up and form their own Shadow Dragons there, to root out the corruption and make a difference. I don't think anyone should blame Anders for what he did; it's the least those in power there should have expected."
6.) Would the others have accepted the role of Inquisitor?
Lyra: "Fuck no."
Briar: "No."
Thalia: "If I had to, but would they seriously ask me? Me? You're really telling me there's no one else?"
7.) Do they share the same opinions on the Chantry?
Lyra: "The chantry is a joke, and so is their Maker."
Briar: "If there is one thing living in Kirkwall taught me, it's that the Chantry can't be trusted."
Lucia: "The chantry wants what's best for everyone. Even if there are a few bad apples, the whole chantry shouldn't be stroked by that same brush."
Thalia: "I don't care about the chantry, honestly."
8.) Do they share the same opinions on mage rights?
Lyra: "Everyone should be free, regardless of their birth. If the mages want assistance killing their oppressors, they need only ask."
Briar: "My father and little sister were apostates, and so are two good friends of mine. What do you think?"
Lucia: "Kirkwall's Circle was bad, but that was the exception to the rule, wasn't it? I don't think mages are all bad or dangerous, and Circles should be healthy and safe places. I think both things can be true."
Thalia: "It's hard to imagine mages not having rights. Couldn't they just set someone on fire if they felt they were disrespected? Seems to happen often enough in Tevinter. And honestly, good for them if the alternative is being made slave, locked away in some 'circle' or whatever they call them down south. Seriously, what is up with that?"
9.) Do they share the same opinions on blood magic?
Lyra: "If you're using it to enslave someone, fuck off. Otherwise, I don't care so long as elves or halla aren't your sacrifices."
Briar: "Merrill is the only valid blood mage."
Lucia: "Blood magic is evil."
Thalia: "Blood magic is the magic of the enemy. The mages among the Shadow Dragons do not have need of it, and do not use it."
10.) Do they have the same opinion on The Game?
Lyra: "'The Game' is literally too stupid for me to care about."
Briar: "Seems like a lot of petty bullshit those in power do to avoid having to do any actual work for the people."
Lucia: "It's fascinating, and takes great skill. Josie's ability to navigate it is enchanting."
Thalia: "They can play if they want, but if they start playing to make people suffer, that's when the Shadows come to call."
11.) Who would they have romanced from the other's choices?
Lyra: Fenris from Kirkwall, Leliana* from Skyhold, and Davrin from the Lighthouse.
Briar: Zevran from Ferelden, Iron Bull from Skyhold, and Neve from the Lighthouse.
Lucia: Leliana from Ferelden, Merrill** from Kirkwall, and Bellara from the Lighthouse.
Thalia: Alistair from Ferelden, Isabela from Kirkwall, Sera from Skyhold.
*Leliana is not normally a romance option in DAI, but would be for Lyra since they have prior history. They weren't compatible in DAO, but they are now.
**Lucia would be able to grow past her anti-blood magic biases if she got to know Merrill.
12.) If Origins and Inquisition had the three personalities (blue/diplomatic, purple/sarcastic, and red/aggressive), which ones would they have? And what did your Hawke and Rook have?
Lyra: Red/Aggressive
Briar: Purple/Sarcastic
Lucia: Blue/Diplomatic
Thalia: Purple/Sarcastic
13.) What is the biggest similarity between your protagonists?
None of them asked for this ("this" being their quest).
14.) Who handles responsibility the best? Who handles it the worst?
The worst is probably Lyra, because she doesn't want it and will fight against it every step of the way. It's rotten work, especially to her and especially if it's the fate of the world. She'll do it, but Mythal alive.
The best is Lucia, who although she didn't ask to be made leader of the Inquisition, ended up happy there and handling it very well.
15.) Do they share any of the same hobbies?
Lyra and Briar both like to steal. Lucia and Thalia can both play musical instruments (piano for Lucia, violin for Thalia).
16.) How old were they at the start of their journeys? Looking back, would they make any major choices differently?
Lyra: 23, and she would have never gone on that treasure expedition with Tamlen if she knew it would end up with her blighted and forced to become a Grey Warden. Other than that, no.
Briar: 17 when leaving Ferelden, and she wishes she had not taken Bethany with her on the Deep Roads expedition with Varric and Bartrand. (Keep in mind she doesn't know this would have ended up with Bethany arrested by Templars.)
Lucia: 24, and no, she thinks she did everything as correctly as she could.
Thalia: 27, and she wishes she would have convinced Varric to not try to talk Solas down, or that she could have warned Varric somehow that Solas would hurt him, or something.
17.) How do each of your protagonists handle loss?
Lyra: Vengeance.
Briar: Heavy drinking.
Lucia: Lots of crying, and prayers to the Maker.
Thalia: Distractions, lots of distractions.
18.) What is / was their relationship like with their family?
Lyra: Her parents died when she was too young to remember them, but she considered her whole clan to be her family. She loves them dearly still, and misses them strongly.
Briar: Loved her father dearly, and had a great relationship with him. Loved her mother, but had a much more complicated relationship with her, since Leandra never loved her as much as she loved the twins, and it showed. Loved her younger siblings, though found it harder to get on with Carver due to his resentment toward her having their father's favor. Had a very strong relationship with Bethany, though, until Bethany blamed Briar for pushing her into the arms of the Grey Wardens after she was blighted.
Lucia: Had a wonderful childhood. Wasn't the heir and so was allowed much more freedom to do as she wanted (hence taking up archery), but became the pride and joy of the family after she became Inquisitor.
Thalia: Has a complicated relationship with her parents. They love her as their only child, and she does love them, but although they felt themselves very progressive for adopting an elven child and not treating her as a servant or slave, they also didn't correct people out in public who made that assumption, and their "it doesn't matter what they think" attitude didn't make Thalia feel better about it. They got her books and scrolls on elven history, but made sure to tell her that the Dalish gods weren't real anyway and that they were just nice fairy tales; only the Maker was real. (Joke was on them, Thalia didn't believe in any of them.) They were upset any time Thalia "acted out" in trying to discover her own personality. They wouldn't join her in learning elvish, etc. She left home at seventeen and joined the Shadow Dragons shortly after, and though she feels guilty for how that must have hurt her parents, she still has not gone back.
19.) Do any of your protagonists marry and/or have children?
Lyra: No, though she and Zevran do stay committed to each other for many years.
Briar: Also no; her relationship with Isabela is on-again, off-again.
Lucia: Yes; she and Josephine get married (and it does not take ten years to do so) and adopt three children.
Thalia: Yes; she and Neve elope, though they don't have children. Instead, they are the DINK aunts who bring the gift reckoning on their friends' kids.
20.) What would their fears on the graves in Here Lies the Abyss be?
Lyra: Being bound in slavery.
Briar: Bethany dying because of her.
Lucia: Being the one who actually doomed the world.
Thalia: Getting her team killed with her faulty leadership.
21.) How do they each feel about the Deep Roads?
Lyra: "Why are we always in the gods-damned fucking Deep Roads?"
Briar: "Fuck the Deep Roads."
Lucia: "The Deep Roads are frightening . . ."
Thalia: "The Deep Roads are both interesting and exciting."

Note
1, 4, and 6 for the DATV hype asks 😀
Thank you!!
1.What was the first Dragon Age game you played?
Origins!! It was back in 2014 - I'd seen some Inquisition clips and looked into the series, and decided to start right at the beginning ^^
4. What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?
This... got lengthy, but here is my canon world state for Dragon Age:
Origins: Warden was a female Human Mage who romanced Leliana; Redcliffe was saved, sided with Mages, Connor was freed from possession, Anvil was destroyed, Bhelen was crowned King, Zathrian sacrificed himself to end the curse, the Urn Sacred Ashes was preserved, all companions recruited, Alistair became a drunk, Anora was crowned as Queen alone, Warden performed the Dark Ritual (modded lol), Avernus was spared and allowed to continue experiments, Shale rediscovered their past, and Morrigan was allowed to leave through the Eluvian
2: Hawke was a female Mage who romanced Isabela; Bethany died escaping Lothering, accepted Merchant Cavril's bribe and worked for the mercenaries, protected the mages without killing Karras, sent Feynriel to the Dalish then to Tevinter, Carver became a Grey Warden, killed Bartrand, Aveline married Donnic, didn't side with Petrice, killed the Arishok, made Tallis angry, sided with Janeka and killed Larius, Varric didn't keep the idol, killed Castillon, helped Merrill leave her people peacefully and preserved the Eluvian, let Zevran go, let Keran go, turned conspirators over to Orsino, reunited Gamlen and Charade, helped Anders, killed Anders, sided with Orsino
(I also have a rogue Hawke who is the twin brother to Marian; he romanced Fenris, helped Tallis, and sided with Larius)
Inquisition: Inquisitor was a Female Elven Mage and Merciful Judge who romanced Solas; denied being Andraste's Herald, helped refugees in the Hinterlands, recruited and dissolved the Templar Order, declared for the Inquisitor, left Hawke in the Fade, recruited the Grey Wardens, Celene rules and was reunited with Briala, Dorian reconciled with father and planned to return to Tevinter, Blackwall redeemed as Rainier, Bull saved the Chargers and became Tal-Vashoth, Cassandra discovered the book and rebuilt the Seekers, Sera killed Harmond, Cole became more human, Solas freed his friend, helped Varric track the red lyrium source, Vivienne was given the heart of the snowy wyvern, Cullen did not take lyrium, Josephine and the Inquisitor did favours for the du Paraquettes, Leliana was inspired, Calpernia's past was investigated, respected the Temple Guardians, spoke to Calpernia, Inquisitor drank from the Well, Leliana became Divine Victoria; shared the truth about Ameridan, earned a legend mark from the Avvar, discovered the source of the tremors, Bull stayed loyal, redeem Solas, disbanded the Inquisition. Additionally, Inquisition forces were deployed regularly, all keeps were captured, lake rift was closed, and Sutherland's company was successful.
6. Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?
Oh, I have a plan. Whether it survives the CC and prologue, we shall see...
Anyways, my current candidate for Rook is Solroka, a dwarven Grey Warden Warrior who is the child of Oghren and Felsi all grown up. As the goddaughter of the Hero of Ferelden, and the child of a Warden Hero, Solroka - her name being a tribute to Solana Amell, both in its similarity and its meaning - was determined to become a Warden and make a mark of her own. Her mother fretted and tried to dissuade her, but she's her father's child in the sense that once an idea enters her head, she won't let it go. She's a relatively new recruit to the Wardens as of Veilguard, and decides to pursue Solas because 'someone has to fix the world and that someone is me' because she's the right level of naive, reckless and arrogant to think that she has this hero thing in the bag. Needless to say, she's in for a rude awakening.
Another idea I had is Issala, a Qunari Rogue or Warrior who is a member of the Mourn Watch. I mostly want to play her because the idea of a Qunari who is in no way a mage being part of an elite faction within the Mortalitasi is so out of pocket that I've got to see how that would work in game. Issala approached the Mortalitasi due to her academic fascination with the dead and necromancy, and she was recruited into a guardianship role. Her duties usually involve cataloguing the strange undead phenomena in the Grand Necropolis while making sure that tomb raiders don't get in, and the dead don't get out. If she goes after Solas, it'll be down to 'he's making the kind of mess that makes matters of the dead complicated, and mages will always make the simplest of matters complicated - no offense boss. (I feel like that's the kind of thing she ends up saying a lot when she complains about mages lol).
So yeah, these are my current girlies who fulfill my desire to play a class other than mage, and as anyone who isn't a human or an elf, and I love them already <3

In 9:26 Dragon, when Rán was 15 years old and Rica 19, Beraht "sponsored" both her and Rica to be trained as Noble Hunters. Despite her "oddness" (being taller than her sister, autism, habit of getting into fights), Rán caught the eye of a smith from House Branka.
She became pregnant, miscarried and almost died. Afterwards she was pronounced by a healer to be unable to have a successful pregnancy. Beraht used her as a thief, and later on, as muscle after she showed a natural talent for bladework.
In 9:30 Dragon, when she was 18 years old, she took the place of Evard during a Proving being held in the honor of a visiting Grey Warden. She won the Proving, but was arrested and subsequently kidnapped by Beraht. She escaped captivity, killed Beraht and was chosen to become a Grey Warden recruit when Duncan asked her to join.

In 9:10 Dragon, during the Summerday festivities, Neria met a Dwarven mercenary named Tug, they had a fling and he left to find his fortune in Orlais, not knowing she was pregnant.
Suledinlen was born in 9:11 Dragon, 1st month Wintermarch.
In 9:21 Dragon, magic manifested at 10 years old and she was brought to Kinloch Hold. Made quick friends with Jowan (11) and then later, Amell (9).
In 9:29 Dragon, at 18 years old, underwent the Harrowing.
9:30 Dragon: Was sent alongside Wynne, Uldred and another fellow Circle mage to Ostagar. Was able to escape during the confusion of battle, steal her phylactery and travel to Jader, where she sailed to Orlais. While wandering the countryside of Orlais in search of a Dalish clan, near starving and looking for a place to safely spend the night, she comes across Felassan fighting off giant spiders. She saved him from the giant spiders and he saved her from starving. They met up with Clan Lavellan, Felassan visiting her often over the next couple years.
In late 9:32 Dragon, while the clan was camped near a ruined fortress located on the edge of the Tirashan forest in Orlais, Suledinlen met Felassan. Despite the age difference the two clicked. Suledinlen is asexual, but wanted a child. Felassan agreed to be the father.
In 9:32 Dragon, Suledinlen gave birth to their and Felassan's daughter, Wenalen.
In early 9:36, unrest began to brew amongst the ruling class of Orlais. Clan Lavellan flees to the Free Marches to avoid being caught in the middle.

In 9:52 Dragon, during a large darkspawn incursion, Rook was ordered to hold the line with other Grey Wardens until reinforcements arrived. Rook argued that by then, villagers under attack would be dead. They disobeyed orders, leading the squad into the incursion and sealing the tunnel to the Deep Roads. This turned the tide, and the darkspawn were driven off, which saved the villagers. Rook's heroism was popular among the younger Wardens, but others with connections to noble families resented her independent streak. Rook chose to step away while tempers cooled.

Note
All the relevant 7s for whoever you'd rather talk about for the DA ask game👀
lol you’ve unlocked the method for getting me to talk about the maximum number of my children possible, congrats! :D
Essentials -How do they dress in their downtime, while fighting, in formal settings, etc.?
Trinne in downtime is either comfy trousers/shirt/boots or a simple but pretty dress. She likes to wear dresses, so definitely figures out something stylish but comfortable(as possible) for formal situations, and for combat, she starts out with what’s basically the mage Hawke starting armor with a shirt underneath and progresses up to armor after she learns the arcane warrior spec(faves are the green elven set in DAO and the Golem shall in DAA), and she does like the balance of comfort and protection the the mage Warden blues.
Rahna and Sigi are both in the most comfortable thing possible for downtime, which usually means a shirt stolen from their respective boyfriends, trousers, and high odds of bare feet. (If Rahna’s wearing one of her own shirts rather than one stolen from Alistair and later Jowan, there’s probably little flowers embroidered around the collar/cuffs) They’re both rogues, so light leather armor for combat, though Rahna will go up to heavier leathers when she isn’t wearing Warden blues. Sigi tries to stay as unobtrusive as possible. In formal situations, Rahna’s probably wearing a dress with trousers or leggings hidden underneath just in case she needs to fight and/or run, but Sigi would be in more formal shirt and trousers unless there’s absolutely no way to get out of wearing a dress.
Astrid wears simple but well-tailored clothes for her downtime, flattering colors, comfortable, very pretty tops and usually trousers but sometimes skirts. She really liked the Fugitives Mantle armor(minus the giant gear on the shoulder lol), but those robes got ruined during the qunari invasion, so she tends to go for either heavy leather or light chain mail chestpiece over trousers/shirt for combat now. Formal situations can get very formal for her(Viscountess of Kirkwall and Princess of Starkhaven), so she wears a lot of velvet with flowing skirts in rich colors--red, blue, green, gold trim on almost everything, lots of embroidery or lace.
Tighe is in a loose shirt, probably half-unbuttoned/tied, trousers and no shoes whatsoever as often as he can get away with it for downtime. Keeper robes for combat and more formal situations, unless Josephine makes him wears one of the more Inquisition-y formal outfits. (He likes the blue one better than the red, in that case. Goes with his eyes)
Levyn is in shirt, trousers, boots and a lightweight jerkin for downtime(probably with charcoal stains on his hands/arms from sketching), hair either in a v loose ponytail or possibly down entirely. Formal situations he likes the sable-tone Inquisition set, with the deep grey-black jacket and lighter sash, black boots. For combat, regular shirt and trousers under a leather coat/duster with fingerless gloves and armored boots, like this or this
Life-Did they ever work a normal, everyday job?
Trinne no bc Circle mage and then immediately Grey Warden lol.
Levyn.... little yes, little no. He’s me playing Jowan as the Inquisitor, so in the gap between Redcliffe and the Conclave, he spends some time as a wandering healer/guard(?) for refugees, and he tries not to use magic for any of it unless he has to, then settles in a village, so he sort of has some normal job experience?
Rahna, Astrid, and Sigi yes bc city elf and farm girls, lol (Rahna’s done all sorts of mundane, boring jobs to scrape up coin, Astrid and Sigi help with chores, running the house, do errands for the neighbors, that sort of thing)
Tighe’s the First for his clan, which is a normal, everyday job for a mage in Dalish culture, but idk if it would be considered “normal” by anyone outside that culture.
Party-How did their [romantic] relationship progress? If they’re a canon romance option, is their story different from the way the game presents it?
OKAY SO.
Rahna and Trinne both romanced Alistair, went pretty much by the book, only neither of them got to have a happy ending with him in their canons. :)) For Rahna he sacrificed himself killing the Archdemon, for Trinne he became king and broke up with her. (I love him, I do, Idk why this keeps happening)
Rahna I spent 660k words writing her grieving, healing and crawling through an insanely slowburn friends to lovers arc with Jowan that I think took around 220k to get to their confession of feelings? Yeah. That was agony. Sweet, sweet agony.
Trinne in OWaP canon eventually falls in love/ends up with Harvey(and yes, that makes her laugh, considering he drove her up the wall when they first met xD)
Astrid rival-manced Sebastian, went pretty much like the game, only I had him nearly die i nthe Arishok fight :), leading to their feelings confession and a more open development of their relationship over act 3, and they got married before he reclaimed Starkhaven, despite the whole “I would offer you no less than a prince” (Astrid’s counter was basically “Yeah, I fell in love with Sebastian, so he more than enough for me <3″ and he wasn’t really going to argue with that)
Sigi friend-manced Fenris, was this really slow, quiet progression of realizing how much they enjoyed--wanted--each other’s company, how even when they butted heads they respected each other, to some light testing-the-waters flirting, then more serious flirting when that was well received. They are both very stubborn, very proud people(Red Hawke FTW), so there were so many times after That Night one or the other almost said something but backed off at the last second, one of hte most notable being after she dueled the Arishok. Their romance is very quiet, a lot of just enjoying each other’s company, doing their own thing but Together, and they’re both extremely snuggly sleepers.
Tighe romanced Cassandra bc he fell head over heels pretty much immediately(well, immediately after they got past the “Tell me why we shouldn’t kill you now” thing), also he’s a sappy romantic and loves a challenge, so when she said she wanted romance, wanted to be swept off her feet, he went “GAME ON” and hunted down poetry books and lit candles and went all out bc that’s the only way he knows how to do things.
Levyn romanced Josephine, and tbh it was probably even slower burn than it happens in the game. He didn’t realize he actually loved her as much as he did until the duel with Otranto. He enjoyed her company, appreciated her kindness, but hadn’t realized it was love until he almost lost her. (There was some added drama with him telling her at least part of the truth about who he is, but that didn’t really change the course of the romance, just added flavor to a couple spots)
DA2-What did they name their Mabari?
Astrid named hers Storm, Sigi named hers Grizzly
DAI-What are your Inquisitor’s first impressions of Hawke?
Tighe and Astrid are very similar, personality wise. He’s a bit goofier than her, but they’re both tender-hearted and have a savior complex that’s largely born of people constantly asking more and more and MORE of them, so they do vibe pretty much from the start. Tighe’s knee-jerk first impression is that she’s sad. OR maybe more wistful? (Missing her family, he finds out later, but Varric asked, and he’s her friend, so she wasn’t going to say no. She should have said no) He can tell she tries her damnedest and takes it personally when that’s not enough. Expects too much of herself, and he wonders if that’s just how she is, or because everyone’s spent so long building her legend she’s afraid of letting them down(both).
Much as I want to have Sigi in the same canon as Trinne and Levyn, I can’t bc that would mean picking between a Fenris-romancing Hawke and romanced Alistair in HLtA, and since this Inquisitor is JOWAN and Alistair is in love with his best friend(sister, really), I did not want to put myself in that position. xD The Hawke for him is a Templar-supporting warrior who had rivalmanced Anders and executed him /cough so Levyn was, uh, fairly wary of working with her.

for all three astala, ilanlas, and marelas #11: Who is your muse’s muse? (What or whom inspires/drives them?)
A very good question! I've been doing some soul-searching for these three and the answers have been interesting.
Ilanlas is an extremely self-motivated person. Doing something well is his way of "earning" his place in whatever group he finds himself in, and of making up for the fact that he's a prickly guy. Quite literally, his drive stems from his own feeling of inadequacy. Good stuff, that /s. On the other hand, he is, I think, also in a position where he could start to let himself be driven by what he wants instead of what he thinks he needs to do. At the moment, those two things coincide: slay darksoawn, stop the Blight and find Tamlen. After Tamlen has been found, the Blight has been stopped and the archdemon has been slain, he will have no clear direction. Sure, he'll want to continue being a Grey Warden and he'll do his very best to be good at that, but being a good Grey Warden is a more nebulous thing without a Blight. I want to do an Awakening run with him; see what direction he takes during and after the game.
Astala's biggest hero as a kid was her mom (Cyrion was relegated to the status of "only my dad". She loved him but they both knew he wasn't hero material (although I do think he could surprise himself one day)). She grew up on tales of other cool elves, most of them rogues who'd one way or another carved their way through a group of shem at some point. They all died in the end and so did her mother. Nowadays, what drives her is the need to protect her family and to put her skill to good use, but this is off-set by a strong wish to simply make it out alive and then have a somewhat normal life. The poor girl really wanted to have a family.
For Marelas, his role model is definitely Keeper Deshanna. He’s been her first for a good fifteen years by the time Inquisition rolls around, and everything he knows about leading people, resolving conflicts and fostering collaboration he’s learned from her. How she manages to turn Wycome around until it is a place where humans, city elves and the Dalish can actually live more or less harmonically with one another is a big ol’ font of inspiration (and consolation, when things don’t work out on his end I only looked up the last step on how to have clan Lavellan survive. I'm proud of that). Another person he thinks about often is Inquisitor Ameridan. For the life of him he doesn't want to end up like Ameridan. It's kind of a situation where the fear of something makes you work harder, y'know? And, last, for all his shortcomings, Marelas's father always had a very "I believe in you, you'll be great" attitude. That drives Marelas forward as well; by nature, he's not a very active person, but a parent's... not expectations, but rather, let's say, lofty dreams for you will give you a kick in the rear every now and then.
Thanks for the ask!! This was a fun one to answer (although it got a bit sad in places. It's the thing about wanting and not getting). And I really want to do that Awakening run with Ilanlas now. I'm curious how he'd evolve, but I'd have to do an Origins run with him first to get him to where he would realistically be at the start of Awakening
