WIBTA for telling someone i can't be friends with them and returning a gift?
buckle up gamers, this is gonna be a long one. so i (22nb but i present fem) was out at the bars the other night just kinda hanging out, and a girl (26f) came up and started talking to me. she didnt really seem...super present i guess? and i talked to her to be nice and she had a cool outfit on. well i was a little drunk and ended up giving her my phone number and meeting her husband (39m) and they walked me home. the whole time she was talking about how she doesn't have any friends and her ex friends just wanted to get with her husband. she told me she was bi and i was like hey me too but im not interested in sex so that was cool. she ended up walking me home w her husband bc it was late which was nice, but they seemed really shocked i lived in such a nice apartment(i do, its expensive but my parents pay for it. im really privileged to be able to do that).
i saw her again today because she kept texting me about wanting to hang out, so i went for ice cream with her bc it was in a public place and i wasnt super comfortable going back to her apt with her. i paid for her ice cream bc she said her card wasnt working, nbd bc my parents have money and her and her husband aren't really well off. i said she could pay me back sometime, buy me ice cream or whatever another day, but she really fixated on it. she told me her husband thought i was cute which made me a little uncomfortable but i laughed it of, and then she kept talking about how she was bi and would date a girl and how she approached me not to date but to be a friend and then 'see where it goes.' she also told me she did porn online to make money which is fine w me, that she's on disability but that the money isnt really enough to live on, and that she'd been raped in the past and drugged which yanno a little overshare-y considering ive known her for three days but she really seemed like she needed someone to talk to and im good at listening. well her husband showed up out of nowhere bc he apparently tracks her phone and we all went back to their apartment bc i couldn't say no(im a doormat. i know) and she ended up giving me two pieces of jewelry in return for buying her ice cream which felt a little like overkill. i tried to refuse but she said she wouldn't ever wear them again so it would be fine. it was really kind of her but now i kind of feel i owe her back for them. the whole time i was there they seemed really eager to get me to move in nearby, and while its true that area is definitely cheaper my parents are really fine paying for my expensive apartment bc my tuition is a lot cheaper than my sibling's. she and her husband walked me home again, mentioning they might be going on a cruise in november if they could save up the money and that they could bring a friend. i said id almost definitely have school which they seemed to accept. they kind of seemed to want to see my place, but i told them it was really messy(it is) i have anxiety around having people in my space(i do) and that maybe they could come up another day and i could make dinner, and she told me she didn't like people cooking for her bc she'd been drugged in the past and that i could go over to their apartment again instead.
my parents think theres some really big red flags going on and i should try to break this off sooner rather than later. i pretty much agree. im not gonna ghost her and they dont think i should either, but that i should somehow return the jewelry in a kind way and tell her i cant really be super close friends. my mom had the idea to draw myself wearing the jewelry and then say i still have a memory of it but to return it bc i cant accept such a nice gift which i could try to do.
to be clear i am shit at communication and setting boundaries, im very aware of that, and most of this can be solved by telling her hey i can't accept this gift and im really busy for school a lot and im sorry i cant be as much as a friend as you need. but i still kinda feel like tah for leading her on almost and then breaking it off like everyone else in her life. ive been under a lot of stress bc of school and my stepgrandmother passing and trying to take care of my grandfather so trying to be friends with someone that seems kind of high maintenance is not really tenable for me.
so, wibta if i tried to let her down gently?
What are these acronyms?

CONSEQUENCES OF A ONE NIGHT STAND. ( chapter. 14)
Tumblr media
— CHAPTER FOURTEEN: telling the parents (fail) ...
— 𖦹 warnings?
previous - next - masterlist
Tumblr media
"jungwon , stop complaining." his mother rolled her eyes , sitting the food down on the table. "im just saying i can't believe i had to sleep on the air mattress." you laughed at your bestfriend , all these years later and he still whined to his parents.
"because she's pregnant jungwon , she can't sleep on the air mattress." you smiled cheekily , of course you could've slept on the air mattress , you planned on doing so , giving your bestfriend his bed back — you just wanted to piss him off. "my name isn't jake , he's the one that got her pregnant , not me."
"jungwon enough, eat your breakfast " you stuck your tongue out , your phone rang , you picked it up , reading the daily good morning text and check up from jake. you smiled , texting him back. "speaking of the devil." jungwon said. "look at that smile , for someone who claims they're just in it for the baby , you surely are cheesing hella hard." you rolled your eyes. "hush up , it was only a good morning text."
"i just can't believe you're with child , jakes none the less." jungwons mom fed you more food. "he is a wild one , i was surpised when wonie brung him home during spring break."
"well as long as he helps out with the baby , he's free to do whatever he wants , date whoever he wants." you said , something in the back of your head saying you didn't really mean that , but you pushed it down. "now that i think about it." jungwon started. "i don't think i've seen or heard him talk about another girl , for the month it's been all about you and the baby in the group chat , i almost kicked him out because of it."
"you're a professional hater , you know that right?" he smiled. "like it's a full time job."
"you're gonna tell your parents today right?" his mom spoke up , you sighed nodded. "how do you think they'll take it." you shrugged. "horrible if my predictions are correct." you never got along with your parents , being the oldest sibling , your parents always set the standards at a unreachable level , and would get mad when you would fail.
your younger sister on the other hand — being the baby and all , was treated with love and care , given everything she wanted , even if her grade were horrible. when she turned 18 for her graduation present wanted to travel to europe for a year with her friends , your parents funded the whole trip. when you were 18 you asked them to help you with your books for college , they said they were already paying for half your tuition and they couldn't do it.
when your sister said she didn't want to go to college like they pressured you into doing , but instead she wanted to be a youtuber , they bought her an entire set up that cost thousands of dollars , but when you asked could they help you with the down payment for your cafe , they refused , if it wasn't for jungwons parents you would've probably be in debt.
it's safe to say you've pretty much cut contact with them , and now you have a successful cafe , and they're still financially supporting your sister who is now an adult.
"well you are always welcomed here , that baby will always have a home here." you smiled , standing up to hug the woman who was more like your mother than your actually mother. "thank you , so much for that."
"we don't have to be at your parents house for dinner until 8 , so we have time." jungwon said. "wonie , how about you let ( name ) handle this on her own." mrs. yang spoke , washing the dishes. "what the hell am i supposed to do then?" he said. "uh spend time with your mother."
you grabbed his hand reassuringly. "she's right , i can do it on my own , spend time for your mom , it's not every day you visit her." he nodded. "if that's what you want bubs , then i guess i can stay here and wait , text karina and make sure sunoo is doing his job." you hugged him. "i'll be fine i swear."
after helping with the chores , you decides to finally suck it up and get dressed — thinking of multiple ways you could tell your parents , each resulting in them being horrible as the next. "where are my car keys?" you paced back and forth. "you mean the ones in your hand?" you looked down , sighing. "you don't have to do this alone." he said. "i do , i just need to get it over with." you slipped your shoes on.
"okay." you huffed , finally ready to leave. "i'm gonna go now." you took one of his sweaters. "make sure they aren't burning my store down." he reassured you , pushing you out the door "okay , okay go , you're late." he said. "good luck honey." mrs.yang yelled , you thanked her knowing you'll definitely need it.
after 25 minute drive to your house , and 15 wait outside your door , you finally worked up the courage to get out of the car , walking to the door , knocking on the door. you heard the old family dog barking , before silence , the unlocking of the locks nerve wracking , the door swinging open. "you're late."
you and your sister stared each other down. "you look fat." she turned , letting you walk into the house. "take your shoes off , the mother just cleaned." you complied , deciding not to argue. "i did live here at one point."
you bent down , petting the old dog , who jumped at your side. "hi girl , it's been a while." you let her lick your palm. "everyone is in the dining area."
you let out a inhale , exhaling before walking into the dining area. "next time call when you're gonna be late." your sister sat down , you could tell this was not gonna be easy. "me and jungwon got caught up." you sat down. "of course , you spend more time with that boy than you do your own family." your mom passed out the dishes.
"well im surprised you even noticed." you said. "are you talking back?" you shook your head. "no mother."
the dinner went by just as you suspected , your family saying sly comments about you and your life , and you praying to god to escape — almost calling it quits and leaving many times. "can we just stop beating around the bush." your sister said.
"it's been 4 years since you left , you've block everyone on social media , we have to hear from mrs.yang about you , so why are you here?" you guess it was time , sitting down your utensils , sighing. "well i came because i have something to tell you."
"is it about your business? because we've already told you we're not- i didn't come here because i need something , my god can you just listen for a second." you snapped , making them go silent , you huffed , before speaking.
"well." you gulped , i just wanted to tell you guys that , i am pregnant." you watched their eyes widen , before your mom sat her utensils down. "pregnant?" she questioned. "yes."
it was so silent , you thought that they could hear your heart beating out of your chest. "can't say im surprised." your mom said. "what does that mean?" you scoffed. "you've always been know to make stupid decisions." she said. "it was only a matter of time before you gotten yourself pregnant." "do you know the baby's daddy? is he your boyfriend? why isn't he here?" your sister spoke.
"of course i know him , and no jake isn't my boyfriend." you said. "you're having a baby with someone you're not even with." your sister shook her head. "so it was a mistake?" you were growing annoyed. "does that matter, the baby is coming regardless."
"you didn't think to get rid of it?" you scoffed at your mother. "are you serious right now?" you said. "i should've come here." you stood up. "what are you gonna do now?" your dad said. "gonna come crawling back to us for money , much like before with the cafe , you can't keep asking the yangs for money , they'll eventually get tired of you."
you scoffed , more liked laughed. "that's what you think?" you nodded. "my shop is doing way better." you said. "i didn't come here for money , i just came to check something." you said. "guess i was right." you walked out of the kitchen.
"i won't be back again." was all you said before you grabbed your shoes , walking out the house to your car. you climbed into the car , driving off , and you just kept driving , straight past the yangs house , you couldn't stay in your home town any longer.

HMB Word Darts Entry 3! A follow on from An Unfortunate Meeting
Marinette was sitting at her breakfast nook in her apartment and wishing she was still in bed. She had stayed up far too late working on a commission but had promised to be awake for a coffee date with Alya that morning. So she had set a million alarms and forced herself out of her bed.
In spite of her waking up on time and skipping a shower, she was still pressed for time. She flew into the coffee shop, wheezing an apology as she dropped into the seat opposite one of her best friends. Alya had the nerve to laugh at her for being late and Marinette pouted at her.
“Girl, I don't understand how you can be late every time,” Alya laughed, shaking her head even as someone brought their regular coffee order over with a plate of cookies. “Anyway, care to explain why I got a notification that you were in the American news last month?”
“Because there were animals being mistreated?” Marinette replied innocently. When Alya gave her an unamused look, she threw her hands up in exasperation. “I don't know, okay? All I did was team up with an activist in the states who turned out to have a little more power to his name.”
“Yeah, that's another thing; since when do you know Damian Wayne? I can't believe you collaborated with him to take down a LexCorp laboratory!” Alya semi-shrieked in awe. “Like, girl, when you get into something, you properly get into something. What's your next activist plan, and can I be the one to break the story?”
“Als, I don't go out looking for horrendously treated animals, I just deal with them if I come across it,” Marinette replied, shaking her head before downing half of her coffee. “And I met Damian through my friend Conner, whose little brother is best friends with Damian.”
“Wait, you're telling me you also met Jonathan Kent?!” Marinette shushed her friend, flapping her hands in a ‘be quiet’ gesture. “Did you meet Clark and Lois too? How could you not tell me any of this?”
“Um, I told you I was going to stay at the Kent's house? I'm pretty sure I told you that I was staying with my friend, Conner Kent and his family. And why do you care who their parents are?”
“Um, because they are literally my heroes? The most important journalists to ever walk this earth and a power couple to rival all others? They are everything I aspire to be, and you didn't even mention that you knew them!”
“Okay, I'm sorry,” Marinette said, holding out the plate of cookies to her as a peace offering. “Anyway, it wasn't a big thing, I was an afterthought in that article and you know it. If Damian hadn't been involved it would have blown over and no newspaper would have touched the story.”
“Fine, but if you keep me out of the loop of another story, we are having words,” Alya said severely. “Besides, that's not why I asked you to meet up today! I was talking to one of the guys in the office - he's pretty cute - and it turns out his parents also bake. I know you kind of haven't been on a date in a while but I showed him your picture and he was very interested in getting to know you. So, can I give him your number?”
“Oh, um, well, the thing is-”
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you have been out of the dating game for too long and I refuse to let it slide any longer,” Alya interrupted, frowning at her best friend. “I think your last real relationship was with Adrien, and that was well over two years ago. Why are you so against giving anyone I suggest a chance?”
“It's not like I don't want to give them a chance, Alya,” Marinette said, frustrated and annoyed. “And I have given people you suggest a chance before. But I'm tired of trying out whatever guy you decide suits me. Why can't I just wait to meet the right guy at the right time?”
“You're right,” Alya said, sounding subdued. “I'm sorry, Mari, I just know how much of a romantic you are and I want you to be happy. But I promise, this guy is really nice and he’s easy on the eyes too! Not much taller than you, blond and a pair of beautiful blue eyes.”
“Thanks, but no thanks, Als. I've been thinking a lot about heading stateside and my friends there said they would happily put me up for a while, so I could get my feet under me.” Marinette's phone buzzed at an incoming message and she glanced down and smiled when she saw it was from Damian. Their- friendship?- had really taken off, chatting regularly and discussing anything and everything.
“Wow, that's a big move,” Alya mused. She took a sip of her coffee before setting it down. “Think you'll team up with Gotham's Ice Prince for another newsworthy escapade?”
“I don't know how many times I have to tell you that I don't plan these things,” Marinette said fondly. “Besides, I'm sure Damian's busy running the animal charities division at Wayne Enterprises.”
“Marinette, I was obviously joking,” Alya said, sounding exasperated. At Marinette's confused look, she elaborated. “Look, whatever fluke made him friendly enough to get through a takedown of a LexCorp lab isn't likely to happen again. Everyone knows that Damian Wayne has a shitty attitude and generally dislikes people. His temper is legendary.”
“Oh, yeah, well, believe it or not, I think his temper tantrums are kind of cute,” Marinette said jokingly, blushing. Alya rolled her eyes over the rim of her coffee mug.
“Haha, sure, the girl who got the biggest crush I've ever seen on a guy because he gave her an umbrella in a freaking storm is now head over heels for a guy who routinely calls women who try to speak to him ‘harlots’. He's got a pretty face but he's nasty.”
“...you know, he's really not that bad,” Marinette hedged, wincing at the disbelieving look Alya shot her. “Okay, in my defence, I thought he was a jerk too but everyone's always telling me I jump to conclusions too quickly when meeting people. And after I actually spent some time with him…”
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng, tell me you're not pining after Gotham's most notorious jerk,” Alya pleaded, gripping her mug tightly. “You do realise that he's famous for not dating and eviscerates anyone who approaches him romantically, right?”
“I haven't even said anything,” Marinette protested, although she couldn't look her friend in the eye. Alya groaned and removed her glasses so that she could pinch the bridge of her nose more easily. Marinette sniffed. “You could have a little faith that I could charm him.”
“I think you just like falling for the least attainable guys,” Alya sighed, shooting Marinette a sympathetic - but frustrated - glance. “But this time I think you're shooting a little too high. Not that that's ever stopped you before and you won't consider anyone else in the meantime. I'll just have to tell Pierre that you're planning to leave Paris.”
“I mean, you wouldn't be in this position if you weren't trying to pimp me out to your work friends,” Marinette said in a wounded voice. “And just so you know, Damian and I get along fine. We met poorly but after that we've been chatting pretty regularly.”
“Whatever you say,” Alya said before moving the conversation along. Marinette let out a breath of relief and pushed away thoughts of the American vigilante.

Michael David Weiss knew that he was going to be a lawyer. His parents had always commented that the amount Mike had complained and argued, the only thing he could be was a lawyer.  He was in Debate Club in high school and college, part of student court, played baseball with Frank and was infatuated with Abby.
What he was expecting was falling for Frank’s little sister. Diane Adler was something that came out of left field. He came home from school during winter break and met up with his best friend.  Abby wasn’t going to be here for break as she was visiting family, so it was just he and Frank. Frank was making popcorn for the movie and grabbing a couple of beers. Mike was on his phone when a voice called out.
“Hi Mike.”
When he looked up, he saw a curvaceous blonde looking back at him. “Diane?”
“Hey.” She walked, no, glided into the room and sat on the couch, checking her phone. Mike swallowed.  Diane was a scrawny kid, five years younger than himself, but she looked like a dream now.  Her long blonde hair had hung to her waist, her curves peeking under her knit sweater and leggings.
Diane had made sure she looked good when she found out Mike was coming home. She had a crush on him since she was eight. She was eighteen now and grew into her long limbs and cornsilk hair. She saw, out of the corner of her eye, how Mike reacted to her. She smiled to herself. He might be five years older, but she was mature for her age.
Or so she thought.
Mike and Diane hid their affair from her brother and best friend. They would meet at shady motels whenever Mike came back into town, had sex, smokes weed, drink, whatever they wanted. Mike also introduced Diane to harder drugs, things he used to stay awake and study or bring him down to sleep. It was a vicious cycle that eventually destroyed their relationship.
When Diane found out she was pregnant, she sent a letter to Mike to tell him. He hadn’t reacted well, calling her a slut, a whore. That she slept around and the baby couldn’t possibly be his. He ordered her to get rid of it.  But Diane couldn’t. It wasn’t her baby’s fault that its father didn’t want them. She kept clean and gave birth to a healthy baby girl.  She didn’t list Mike as the father because her shame took over.  She gave in to the darkness of her addiction and gave up hope of raising her little girl.  So, she left her with the two people she knew would love and care for her the most.
Mike didn’t want to be associated with the baby. But he still went back and had fun with Diane. They got high together still, fooled around, although Mike was more careful now. And when Diane wanted Mary back, Mike made sure he provided the evidence so she never could.
This turned out to bite him in the ass.
He had a drunk night with Bobby Fuller and he told him everything. And he used drugs in front of Bobby, who had refused to get high with him for the sake of his career.  He thought, with the collaboration in destroying Frank’s image and relationship, that the comradery would continue.
Until he saw Bobby, sitting in the gallery, waiting to be called as a witness for Frank and Abby.
“Your Honor, I am not sure why Mr. Fuller was called as a witness as he has never interacted with the child,” Mike argued.
“Whether or not Mr. Fuller has interaction with the child is not a testament to Mr. Weiss’s competency as a parent,” Andy said.  “Mr. Fuller can provide an insight into the daily life of Mr. Weiss since he was living with Mr. Fuller for the last couple of months.”
The judge looked back and forth. “I’m going to allow it as Mr. Weiss has yet to prove that he is a fit parent.”
“Thank you, Your Honor,” Andy said.  “We would like to call our first witness, Mr. Scott Evans.” Scott stood up and went to the witness chair. “Hello Mr. Evans. Can you tell me how long you have worked for Mr. Adler?”
“Almost six years.”
“And have you witnessed any red flags in Mary’s care?”
“No.”
“In your opinion, has Frank Adler been a model parent to his niece?”
“Yes, I believe so. I mean no parent is perfect, but he does his best when it comes to Mary. She was four when I met her.  She loved her uncle so much. They have traditions when they are together, he calls every day when he is on the road. He makes sure she knows that she and his wife are the center of his world.”
“What do you think of Abby?”
“She is wonderful. She puts Mary first, much to the annoyance of Frank.” The room chuckles. “She would do anything for Mary.”
“Thank you, Scott. No further questions.”  Andy sat down as Mike stood up.
“Mr. Evans, have you ever seen Mr. Alder or Dr. Adler consume alcohol in front of Mary?”
Scott frowned. “Occasionally, at home. When we go out to dinner, one of them does but the other stays sober to drive.”
“At home, have you ever seen them drink more than, let’s say, two drinks in a night or do any other substances?”
“Maybe after Mary has gone to sleep, we might drink a little more. Never anything else. Frank was clear when I was hired that he wouldn’t tolerate any drugs in the house.”
Mike frowned. This wasn’t going his way. “Thank you, Mr. Evans.”
“Alright, I want to speak to Mary alone,” the judge said. “As this is between three people, Mr. Evans, I would like to ask you to be her guardian as a witness.” Scott nodded, took Mary’s hand and started to walk her back to the judge’s office. But before they go too far, Mary let go and ran back to Frank. She threw herself into his arms.
Frank kissed the top of her head. “It’s ok Nugget. Just be honest, ok?”
“I love you dad.”
“I love you too.” He let her go and Mary hugged Abby.
“Love you mama.”
“I love you too baby girl.”  She pushed her towards Scott. She stepped back and Frank took her hand. “Frankie,” she whimpered.
“Its ok Cricket. She’ll be with Scott and she’s gonna be right back.” He led her back to their seats, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. He spared a glance to Mike who grinned. “What a jackass,” he said under his breath.
“Don’t Frankie,” Abby whispered. She looked at Mike, who wiggled his fingers. He wants a reaction in front of the judge.
“I hate this, Cricket.”
“I know.”  She leaned against him and closed her eyes.  The nausea came back, and she reached down for the ginger iced tea she had brought with her.
“You ok, Cricket?” Frank frowned as Abby took a big sip.
“Your child is misbehaving,” she said with a smile. “I’ll be ok.”
Just then the door opened, and Mary and Scott came back.  Mary ran right into Frank and sat on his knee, hugging him around his neck. “Alight,” the judge said. “Mr. Barber, you had another witness?”
“Yes, Your Honor. I would like to call Robert Fuller to the stand.” Bobby nervously patted his hair and walked to the front. “If it is ok with the court, I would like to invite Mr. Weiss to speak to Mr. Fuller first,” Andy asked.
“That’s an unusual request but I’ll allow it,” the Judge said.
Mike stood up and looked at Bobby. “Mr. Fuller, would you consider us friends, right?”
“Yes.”
“Have I ever said to you that Mary wasn’t my daughter?”
“No.”
Mike smirked. “Noting further.”
Andy stood up. “Mr. Fuller, you know my client, Frank Adler.”
“Yes.”
“How did you meet?”
“We met at training camp for the Boston Red Sox. We were rookies together.”
“Friends?”
“Yeah, we were friends. I was there when Frank had to take custody of Mary.” Bobby swallowed.
“Is it true that you helped drug Mr. Adler in Las Vegas approximately six years ago?”
Mike stood up. “Objection, relevance.”
“Withdrawn. Mr. Fuller, when did Mr. Weiss come to stay with you?”
“Three months ago or so.”
“Any reason why?”
“He said he needed a place to crash while he figured some stuff out.”
“Is it true that you came forward on your own?”
Bobby looked at Mike. “Yes.”
“Why?”
“I needed to be honest.”
“Was there something weighing on you?”
“Yes.”
“Want to explain?”
Bobby hesitated. “I – I heard Mike saying that he wanted to mess up Frank’s life. That he stole Abby from him, and he wanted to take away the only other person that he loved. He said he knew that he was Mary’s father but...”
“But what, Mr. Fuller?”
“I’d rather not say in front of Mary.”
The judge understood. “Mr. Evans, can you sit with Mary outside of the court for a few minutes. We’ll call you back in a few minutes.  Bailiff, please have a deputy stand guard.”
Everyone moved as needed before the court settled again. “Mr. Fuller, please continue,” Andy said.
“Mike said he knew he was Mary’s father but that he wished Diane had listened to him and gotten rid of the baby.  That the baby almost fucked, sorry, messed up his life. That he didn’t want to change his life from booze, drugs and women.”
“Drugs?” Andy spun back to Bobby. “Have you ever seen Mr. Weiss use drugs?”
“Yes.”
“Liar! You’re a fucking liar Fuller!” Mike rose from his seat and the bailiff moved to keep Mike in his area.  “You know shit!”
“Mr. Weiss, control yourself or you will be removed from the courtroom. Bailiff, stand there and make sure Mr. Weiss does not leave his seat.” The judge glared at Mike. “Mr. Fuller, do you have any proof of these transgressions?”
“Yes. My apartment has a doorbell camera and a camera that is in the kitchen watching the door. I’ve had a couple of break ins. The kitchen camera caught Mr. Weiss shooting up.”
Abby gasped and covered her mouth. Frank growled softly and held Abby’s other hand to ground himself. The sick bastard was a drug user and wanted custody of his daughter. Over his dead body.
“Mr. Fuller has forwarded that video to me today and I have submitted it to the court clerk for the record. Based on this evidence, we request that his objection to the adoption be rejected and allow the adoption to be expedited due to trauma Mary has experienced. We want her to be settled as soon as possible.”
The judge looked over the video that had been loaded to his tablet. “Based on evidence presented, I am rejecting the objection to the adoption and rejecting Mr. Weiss’s claim for custody as a parent. Mr. Weiss is unfit to be a parent in any capacity.  I will be forwarding my recommendation to the judge in the adoption case.”
“No! She is my kid! You can’t do this!” Mike yelled. The bailiff placed his hand on Mike’s shoulder to hold him in place.
“Furthermore, I am rejecting bail for you, Mr. Weiss.  You will be taken back into custody as a flight risk and face the charges of kidnapping and child endangerment. Bailiff, please place Mr. Weiss under arrest.”
“No! You son of a bitch!” Mike tried to lunge at Frank who placed himself in between Mike and Abby. “You fucked up my life!”
“You did it the moment you took the drugs and got my sister pregnant. We’ll see you at trial.”
Mike thrashed and yelled obscenities at Abby and Frank. It took four deputies to get him back into custody. Once his voice was no longer heard, the judge motioned to the deputy at the door.  Mary and Scott walked back in. “Young lady, you have been very brave the past few weeks. I wanted to personally let you know that no one is going to stop your parents from finishing the adoption.”
“Really?!”
The judge chuckled. Really. “We are adjourned.”
Frank whipped his family into his arms. Abby and Mary sobbed into his chest as he fought his own tears. “Thank you,” he mouthed to Andy, who smiled at the family. He reached over and grabbed Scott to pull him in. As he let go, Bobby walked up to them. “Adler, can I talk to you?”
Frank cocked his head to the side, and he stepped away from his family. “Yeah?”
“I just wanted to apologize to you. For helping Weiss, treating you like crap,” he swallowed, “and for Vegas. I knew it was wrong, but Weiss twisted everything.”
“Yeah, he does that.”
“Yeah well, when he talked about taking Mary away, I just couldn’t stomach that. When I heard about the motion, I called Andy and said I needed to say my piece. I’m really sorry man, for everything.” He stuck out his hand.
Frank grasped it and shook.  “Thank you for telling the truth.” Bobby nodded and walked out of the court.  Mary ran up to Frank and tugged on his hand.
“Can we go to eat? I’m starving,” Mary proclaimed.
“Sure, Nugget, let’s get outta here.”
The group headed to dinner and sat around in a private room. A bottle of champagne is passed around. Abby stops the waiter from pouring in her glass. “None for me, thank you.”
“You? skip champagne? Scott snorted. “What are you, pregnant or something?” he joked.
Abby smiled. “Sure am.”
Scott sputtered his champagne. “What?”
“We’re gonna have a baby.” Frank and Abby shared a look before Frank leaned over and kissed Abby softly. “Love you mama.”
“Love you too Daddy.”

•TV show: "Criminal minds".
•Content warnings: A woman losing her father suddenly because of a heart attack, mentions of her and her dad not having a good relationship, a boy standing one of his acquaintances up, that acquaintance seeing it as him disappointing her, the boy's parents not approving of him being friends with one of his schoolmates because of the girl's behavior, a man refusing to reveal something important that knows until one of his friends' father is alive, but doing it after the man's death.
•I made up the fact that JJ's father's name was Frank. His name was never said in the actual show so I just chose one that sounded good with his last name in my opinion.
•Sorry if Diana Reid seems out of character, but it was more normal for people of that time to have the mentality I gave her and we don't know if she was liberal or conservative or what she believed in.

The bridge to Heaven
Chapter 9: Spencer Reid
The only thing Elle ended up telling David that day was that Spencer had stood her up to go do something with Emily that afternoon, she didn't know what.
When she went to his house, she found out from Spencer's mother that he had gone out and apparently wouldn't have been back for a few hours.
He didn't want to spend time with her, that seemed obvious to Elle.
He preferred to be with a girl his parents didn't approve of him being friends with.
"That Emily behaves strangely, especially when she's with her friend Jennifer. I don't know what Spencer sees in her" Diana Reid had told her, and those words had never left Elle's memory.
She had no idea what Spencer's mother meant by "Emily behaves strangely when she is with Jennifer," and she would have never asked that to Spencer.
He had decided to disappoint her that day, so she wouldn't have asked him anything else.
She would have gotten along just fine without him.
According to David, however, that situation was more important than how Elle considered it, so he decided to look into it more.
He obviously didn't know what had happened that day, so he decided to ask Spencer some questions too.
The man, however, almost completely refused to speak.
He answered a couple of questions, but when David came to ask him about the day he stood up to Elle, Spencer immediately shut down.
The only thing he said, more than once, was "I can't say that. I'm sorry, but I absolutely can't talk about it".
So, finally, Dave let him go.
He couldn't force him to tell him anything, after all, and in the end, he only had to be patient about it for a few days.
That's because on June 18, in the late afternoon, Jennifer called David saying that she needed a break from her investigations into Emily's case.
"My father died this morning. He had a heart attack. I'm sorry, but I need a couple of weeks just for myself. If you need to, you can still contact me" she explained to him and as a response, Dave simply offered her his condolences and told her not to worry.
Apparently Jennifer and Frank, her father, had never had a good relationship, but they were still dad and daughter and since he knew how it felt to lose a parent, he could understand that woman and the pain she was experiencing well.
That same evening, however, it was Spencer who called David to tell him that he was finally ready to talk, so three days later, the two men met once more, again in Long Island, at Dave's house.
"Frank Jareau is dead now and it was him, or rather, the fact that he was still alive, the only thing that prevented me from talking about what I saw on October 30, 1963 and also on many other days before and after that. Especially in the evening of November 2" Spencer explained practically as soon as he and David sat down in the living room of the writer's house.
"I get it, Spencer, but now that you can speak freely, I need to find out everything that happened those days" Dave replied, looking Spencer right in the eye "Every detail, every secret. Can you help me?".
Spencer took a deep breath, his mind flashing back to the fateful November evening that had changed his and a few other people's lives forever.

A growing number of women who say their children were handed to abusive partners by England and Wales' family courts have abducted them and fled to Turkish-controlled northern Cyprus. The BBC spoke to six of them to investigate some of their stories.
"I'm told there is an arrest warrant out for me. Court orders say I can't contact family members, my child can't speak to their grandparents," says Rose - not her real name. "It's destroyed my family."
Rose says her partner in the UK was violent and raped her while she was pregnant. Even after she left, Rose says she was subject to a "campaign of abuse". "I was stalked, harassed," she says.
The BBC has corroborated Rose's story with her family and friends. We have also seen confirmation that the police were called out to reports of stalking and abuse.
One police report, made after a claim of domestic violence, graded Rose as being at risk of further harm. Rose's partner was never convicted of an offence.
On days when her partner had contact with her daughter, Rose says the girl would return distressed. "When your child says 'Mummy, Daddy's hurt me' it breaks you," she says.
***
All of the nine mothers interviewed by the BBC say that before fleeing the UK, their children had been - or were due to be - placed permanently by the family court with fathers they had reported for abuse. Most of the mothers say they were accused in the cases by their former partners of parental alienation.
The BBC has seen multiple police reports for allegations of domestic violence in connection with the women we interviewed, written at the time of the incidents. We've also seen domestic abuse risk assessments - as well as IDVA (independent domestic violence adviser) reports detailing abuse.
There is no publicly-available data on how many mothers have fled the UK after suffering domestic abuse and being accused of parental alienation. One mum who has been in northern Cyprus for over a decade tells us she is aware of about 75 other mothers who have arrived during her time there. She describes a troubling picture of vulnerable people with young children in a place out of reach of UK authorities.
***
The term "parental alienation" was first coined as "parental alienation syndrome" by the controversial US psychiatrist Richard Gardner. It applied to children who had purportedly been brainwashed by a parent - usually, but not always, their mother - into making allegations of abuse.
The concept was criticised for a lack of evidence - but has been reframed simply as "parental alienation". Supported by some psychologists, it is frequently cited in England and Wales' family courts.
Earlier this year, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls called for the use of parental alienation to be prohibited globally.
***
In northern Cyprus, we learned of one mother - we are calling her Susan - who went through a decade of family court hearings before fleeing the UK. Her story highlights the complicated nature of drawn out proceedings with claim and counter claims being put before the family courts.
She says during 120 court appearances she and her child were not listened to, and the toll of the hearings led to serious problems at her place of work. "It was state-sanctioned abuse," she says.
Susan says she made about 50 calls to police against her husband during their relationship. After she left, she says her former husband still controlled her financially and stalked her.
The BBC has seen details of multiple police reports about Susan's husband. We have also seen evidence from professionals accepting that Susan was suffering trauma.
Susan's children had refused to see their father in a contact centre, something she blames on the abuse inflicted on her. But she ended up being accused of parental alienation and the children's residency was transferred to the father.
Susan decided to run. Breaking the law in this way has come at a huge cost for all involved. Family members have died and she could not even say goodbye. "It's a persecution, it's always the victim who loses out. It's me who's labelled as a serious criminal."
Her son, who spoke to us with her permission, says he is thriving in northern Cyprus. "I'm a straight-A student, I'm stress-free here," he says. "I want to be a doctor, but if I go back to England I'll be taken into care. I'm not allowed to have a passport. I have never been listened to."
Susan says she is scared and sick from stress. "I've lost my family, friends and so much money. But if I'd stayed in England, I'd be dead and my kids would be in care."

Please Read!!
Hi! I'm Leaf, finally without Judith yeeee!! I just wanted to warn those who are not reading my Sky Fanfiction for reasons such as laziness (I understand haha, It's Very Normal) or because they can't find it or even because they didn't even know it exists that, every time I finish specific parts, I will make a small summary especially for you. Here is the link to the story first!: https://quotev.com/story/15725069
Here is the first list of the Fanfiction: Fly Until You See The Light 🕯️!
First summary:
1. The Isle of Dawn;
2. The Daylight Prairie;
3. The Hidden Forest.
Now, let's get started:
“There was a village back then, in the huge world of Sky. Or rather, it still exists; it is also very inhabited and welcoming, if I can afford to express my opinion.
That village, in the past, seemed like a paradise. It was a wonderful place, the only way to go through all seven realms one after another. It was the beginning of an adventure, of a journey which demonstrated the value of the locals.
At the age of thirteen, boys and girls from all over the world took courage, reached there and then went towards the first stage, called Isle of Dawn.
Certainly, there were those who preferred not to. The faint of heart, perhaps; or the more introverted; or even those who didn't feel like escaping from the nest. It was and is normal, there is nothing to hate in it. Am I not right? Mhmhh!”.
These are the first words that Sentinekka writes in a diary accidentally found in the cellar of her house. Her mother said these things when she was little.
Sentinekka is an ordinary twelve-year-old who lives in her village, also called the "beginning place". She has always been a curious child about what awaits her outside her house.
The little girl doesn't have time to introduce herself before her best friend joins her: a fifteen-year-old girl named Symphony who never leaves their village because of her protective parents.
The next day is the chosen one... Sentinekka turns thirteen and, that same evening, after waiting for Symhony, who managed to convince her parents to let her go, the two leave for the first realm: the Isle of Dawn.
Isan, as well as Sentinekka's cousin, is a warrior from the Valley of Triumph. She was with her little cousin all day and, without confessing it to anyone, she is one of the reasons why the parents of Symhony have surrendered. Isabel and Isan convinced them.
The Isle of Dawn
The two best friends have finally arrived at the first realm, the beginning of every journey ever undertaken. They walk in the Isle cave, they hear that unknown voice that calls us all and that tells us about the past.
Tumblr media
Once they have crossed the cave, the two don't know how to get down... And while they are talking about it, a boy of about their age makes his way between them, throws himself from the cave and goes away. He then realizes that the two need help, and gives them a hand.
The boy is called Ojtaro, he is fourteen years old and is an expert about their world.
Tumblr media
The three explore the Isle together, relive the memory of the first Spirit, the Candlemaker, and head towards the temple of the first Elder.
Tumblr media
The meeting with the Elder proceeds well, even thought the boy refuses to meet him. And here the three head towards the Prairie.
The Daylight Prairie
Unfortunately, Ojtaro and Symphony don't seem to get along with each other as well as Sentinekka can. In fact, the two decide to separate: Ojtaro will accompany Sentinekka on her journey, while Symphony will take another path.
Tumblr media
The kids, during their trip to the Daylight Prairie, make a short break. Symphony goes exploring around, while Ojtaro and Sentinekka rest on the grass.
And there, the boy confesses something to her... Unfortunately, an event in his family will begin soon. He will try to take her to the end of the Forest, and she will have to continue the adventure alone. The girl seems sad at first, but instantly cheers up. It's not his fault, though. The two, second after second, get along better and better.
Symphony returns to them, tells them about a boy she met: a sixteen-year-old named Youssef who is waiting for them in the cave at the butterfly field, and the three set off.
Tumblr media
So, a new person has joined the group. Obviously, Ojtaro wants to avoid talking to him, he only gets along with Sen'. Personal things, we suppose?,
They reach the bells of the Prairie, but the sunset that came too soon prevents them from continuing. So, they stop to sleep on a small island.
Tumblr media
During the night, Ojtaro relives an old experience in the form of a nightmare. He would like not to remember that, but now...
While Symphony and Youssef are not with them, but are walking in the Bird Nest, Sentinekka hears sobbing. Kinda expected, after all. Ojtaro seemed too dark to be someone who doesn't have trauma or anything like that.
She consoles him, she knows that risking drowning like he did isn't nice. And, thankfully, he feels better.
«Think of that little girl who survived because you were there...».
The group reaches the Elder's temple. Yet, Youssef and Symphony begin to become suspicious of Ojtaro. He knows the names of the Elders.
After a brief meeting with the friendly Ayin (Ojtaro claims that the name given comes from his village of birth) the group splits up.
Sentinekka says goodbye to Symphony, they know they will see each other again. On her fourteenth birthday.
The Hidden Forest
Sentinekka and Ojtaro, left alone, do not immediately go towards the real Forest, but are called by some kids. A girl named Mudil broke her cloak, and Ojtaro knows how to repair it. With needle and thread, he gets to work while Sen 'gives him a hand with pleasure.
Tumblr media
They then reach the three gates of the Forest, pass through them calmly and slowly (since they take a long time to open), and relive the memories of some spirits.
Sentinekka learns the usefulness of dark flowers and the warmth they produce.
Tumblr media
After the first day spent there, they rest in a gazebo. Ojtaro and Sentinekka, to give warmth to the realm, play a song that they both know. She doesn't know how she knows her words, she's never heard them. He knows the notes by heart.
(leaving the song here? Sure)
Tumblr media
However, something happens.
Oj' suddenly sees darkness. Seeing her from Sentinekka's POV, her friend faints on her while she looks at him. He had suddenly stopped, and she had to do something. She wanted to take his umbrella to protect him from the rain, but that thing was unexpected!
There are more clues to his identity: listen up, readers.
He, in the darkness, sees Teth, the Elder of the Forest. How come?
He is one of them. He'll be an Elder like them in two years. Ojtaro is the chosen one who kills the King who created the darkness and who will take his place, bringing light back to the kingdom... And blah blah blah. That's what he would say.
She doesn't like Sentinekka, she wants him to leave her like he did with many other children, but he rebels. He is tired of the obligations of his so-called “mother”.
He wakes up, knows that Teth is angry with him and that she will try to hurt his friend.
Sentinekka is soaked: she got all wet just to get help for him who had fainted so badly -
He hugs her, gives her his brown fringed cloak, and they continue on their journey.
In short, therefore, with an excuse of a game of hide and seek, Oj' makes Sentinekka flee as far as possible to speak privately with the Elder. The divinity and the demigod manage to reach an agreement, but Sentinekka in the meantime has relived a new memory: that of the cave of the crying spirit.
In short, she is traumatized, but manages to recover thanks to her traveling companion, who consoles her like a brother. The two children finally reach the temple, Sentinekka talks to Teth who, reluctant and cold towards her (as she has always been towards all children), gives her a kind of pendant.
It represents a diamond, like the one the Elder held for all the time.
Ojtaro, hearing the story of the meeting, seems surprised, but not worried. And the two leave the temple.
At the end, they meet a new friend: a thirteen-year-old boy named Orlando who was left alone by a Veteran. Oj' can't stand the Moths sometimes, they get fooled most of the time by the older ones.
Orlando, Sentinekka and Ojtaro then go to the Valley of Triumph, where Ojtaro tells them the story of Priestess Samekh, an ancient ruler of the Valley of Hope, who was killed by the mad King of Eden, and of the children of the Priestess who took her name and who divided it, creating new identities (Sah and Mekh), and how they changed the name of the realm to the Valley of Triumph.
And here ends the first summary. Please don't kill me, I know it's a lot to say, but the original story is so much more! Read it, pleease!

I re-read my childhood favorite book series that rivals DCLA for the chaoticness #3
Tumblr media
Ricky Rapper and Nelli Noodlehead
Things that happened in this books:
Risto notices a girl taking out the trash.
He says that it looks like she has noodles
Rauha says that he could get friends off her. Risto doesn't think so
Rauha sees Mr. Limberg carrying a shopping bag and starts feeling sad about him being lonely. She also has a specific idea of what he has bought
Rauha decides to write an odd love letter to him. She goes on to describe his forehead, nose, and lips
Rauha gets embarrassed and chucks the letter into a basket
Rauha also bakes a blueberry pie and tells Risto to take it to the new neighbors
Risto feels stupid about taking pie top the "girl downstairs" so he just leaves the basket he took it in behind the door
The girl, Nelli finds the basket and reads the letter, and thinks that Risto wrote it
She writes a response letter where she calls him hot lips
Risto and Rauha realize that Nelli has read Rauha's letter and thinks that Risto wrote it
Rauha refuses to set the record straight since he doesn't want to embarrass herself
Risto thinks he can't show his face outside anymore so Rauha says the he should dress up
Risto dresses up in a leather jacket and boots and says that his name is Hector Oja
He gets trapped under a carpet and Nelli releases him and he runs away back under the carpet
Risto writes Nelli another letter where he says they he isn't the Hector who wrote the letter, or the hector who was under the carpet
Nelli forgets her kyes home and goes to Rappers as a result. Her parents are famous TV chefs who Rauha is a big fan of
Risto is in the bath and forgot his towel so he dresses in Rauha's frilly bathrobe
He gets spooked by Nelli and runs to the closet to hide
Rauha brings him clothes
Before Nellie leaves she invites Risto over to see Alpo her cat
Risto thinks she is talking about a baby
Alpo is nowhere to be found and Risto and Nelli start looking for him
Rauha panics because she thinks the baby has disappeared
Alpo runs away again the next days due to getting scared by a mouse on TV
Risto and Rauha help Nelli look for him, but Rauha gets distracted by Nelli's parents TV-program and stays to cook at her house
Nelli's parents come back to find Rauha, who they have never met, cooking in their home
Rauha thinks she is in a hidden camera show
Chaos ensues until Risto and Nelli explain the situation
Everyone leaves to look for Alpo
Nelli gest scared by a cardboard skeleton
Rauha and Mr. Limbeg get stuck in a tree
Nelli's parents get stuck on some swings
They eventually find Alpo and end up eating a banana pancake
Rauha gets offered her own TV-show about sausages
So this book is really the one where the series really got its footing from by introducing Nelli, who ends up being Risto's best friend for the rest of the series. Moreover this book just in general hits the mark him much better than the two previous books. This book still suffers from definitely aging, but not as strong as the previous ones and Risto's original distaste for Nelling for being a girl can be counted as him being a child. This books also break the stereotype with boy/girl friendships. The chaos in this book also is bit more grounded and stems from genuinely funny misunderstandings and not just stupidity

RED PANDA
Here are some of my thoughts about this movie.
She have a strict and overly protected mother
Just like I am tbh I am now in my 20's and still living with my parents not that I am ashamed of, it's just that since I am the youngest one she tend to be more authoritarian.
When her friends invite her to go karaoke
Everytime my friends wanna hang out. Well, my mother often says NO. She's like, "how about your homework", "how about your school", "Where is it located?", "Who are you going with?", "Is it safe?". Things like that and many more questions that made me reply "Nevermind, I'm not going."
She is a fan of this boy group boy band named "4 Town"
I have this kpop group that I like named "Seventeen" specially when her mother asked "who is this boy band?", "And why are they called 4 town when they have 5 members?" I mean all of the Carats (who is the name of the fandom) knows what I'm talking about. We get that a lot, like A LOT.
When she transform into a Red Panda and everytime she calms down she goes back with her human form
I mean we all have this "break-out-moment" I don't know how you call it though but yeah, so I am now in a point of my life, where I don't want someone, specially my mom, would get hurt but sometimes you say words that aren't supposed to come out.
When she ask her mom to go to the 4 Town concert
Well in my case, my sister is the one who told my mom to let us go in the Seventeen concert in MNL so it is like a 45 mins to 1 hr flight away from where I am. I really don't know how she gets our mother's approval or not that approval it's more like a "I don't know about this but I'm letting "ME" go with you (my elder sister) because she is with you." I know it's a lot of pressure for my sister but she still managed to make her say YES.
When she confronted her mom saying "She's 13, Deal with it"
Well, I hope I have that courage to tell her that. I mean she knows that I'm already an adult but she refused to believe that I can do it all by myself.
When her mom replied, "You think you're so mature."
It hit me hard. She told me the same exact words. The thing is after telling me that, I believed in her words. That maybe I'm not really that mature eventhough I'm an adult and that I can't do things without her.
When she found her mom in her teenage years in bamboo forest
Her mom was crying asking for forgiveness and telling her that it is so hard to be perfect that no matter what she does, it feels like it is still not enough for her mom. I mean I know that my mom is not perfect and she doesn't want us to be perfect either it is just that she is also afraid that we make the same mistakes and the mistakes that we will regret later on and that we never achieve on what is in our goals.
Her mom asked her to come along with her to give up the beast but she replied, "I'm changing, Mom, I'm finally figuring out who I am but, I'm scared it'll take me away from you.
I hope that my mom sees me as Mei Mei's mom see her, that she is embracing that her daughter is already growing up that she is changing. The ones that she used to like is not the same anymore, some of the things are ready to let go but as I see, I can't let go because my mom doesn't want to let me go. I don't wanna change because she is not ready for a change, I am scared because she is scared that I may not go back to her. She is not ready to let me go. The line that her mom replied makes me sad, "You try to make everyone happy but are so hard on yourself."- I felt that because I'm this girl who seeks approval of her mom, seeks attention and is making her happy when I do what she tells me to do. I am that people-pleaser. I hope she sees that in me as well. That it is getting harder and heavier to comply.
When they finally give up the beast inside but Mei Mei choose to keep it
She was very brave to accept who she is and ready to take a risk because nothing is going to be the same and as her mom quoted "the farther you go, the prouder I'll be." I wish my mom would say the same but I think just like Mei Mei's mom to her mom, I will never be enough.
"Sometimes I miss how things were but nothing stays the same forever"
I will miss my childhood when I was just laughing, playing and making friends and the only problem that I have is when to eat or what to eat but as I grow older, I never knew that I am now craving for an independency, for my choice to be heird and for my decision to respect. I am gonna make mistakes but at least I know how to solve them and to never commit again.
We've all got an inner beast, we've all got a messy, loud, weird part of ourselves hidden away and a lot of us never let it out
I am scared to let out my beast because right now I'm in the position where I can't find the right words to say and how to express it. The thing is that the more I want to let it out the more I see that I am hurting her. So just like in the safe side, I am trying to hide the beast inside me and never let it out because she will never understand how I feel.

heyy!! how r u today? hopefully well, i hope you dont mind if i request somethin' to you rn, btw your an amazing writer (: but anyways ill just start saying this...
ca you do Aoi Asahina, Sonia Nevermind, miu iruma and maybe Monami with a reader who has a noelle personality from genshin impact??
thank youu and i hope you have an amazing day (:
Aoi Asahina, Sonia Nevermind, Miu Iruma and Monomi with a reader who has a Noelle personality.
I'm embarrassed, I hope your day is good too. Thank you for your inquiry, happy reading.
Tumblr media
Aoi Asahina.
No matter how difficult your name is, the girl will not forget. Because such a cool and sweet person is hard to forget. She and Sakura are always ready to help you. At first, Aoi wanted you not to help so much and especially to some individuals who are "not worthy of it". But Sakura always added "Asahina, it's part of Y/N's personality, we can't tell her."
Aoi is always happy to see you, so she will always take you with her and Sakura. But this does not look like "friendship with the third extra person." You fit in very well. Now this is the most powerful trinity, you understand that?
"Hey! Y/N, can you help me with this assignment because I don't understand this subject at all?" One student complained.
"Oh, you've been asking for far from the fifth time, can you explain and help you understand how, what to do?"
"Uh, I don't have time for this," this student wanted to say and immediately leave, leaving you alone with their task, but there were angry Aoi and Sakura behind your back, but Ogami was more frightening. "What did you say about helping explain? Yes, of course, I had free time, even right now."
But Sakura's gaze was still heavy, and the swimmer approached you, distracting you with sweets that she wanted to share with her friends at recess. "Oh, you know, I think I just figured out how to do my homework, so take it easy, thanks, bye!"
"What was it?"
"A new way to quickly learn, just like frame 25, but even more effective." Sakura joked and she went to the dining room, and you follow her.
Sonia Nevermind.
She is here to take a break from her parents and servants who run after her, watch and teach "how a real princess should behave." And the fact that you are so friendly, but especially helpful. This makes her mentally return to the castle, at a time that was unbearable for Sonya.
"Dear Y/N, please sit back and relax, I admit, no, everyone here recognizes you and your talent." Says Sonya as she pours a second cup of tea for you.
"Oh, thank you very much, I'm glad to try for all of you, but then I have to try even harder so that I don't fail in difficult times and you don't get disappointed." You answer the princess with a smile, thereby refusing her offer.
"Oh, I was hoping for your company." Dramatically, the princess raises her hand to her forehead. This is followed by a tea party for two with cookies and funny stories from both sides.
Yes, she will sometimes say something that sounds like "manipulation" if this statement is true. But Sonya does not want to do anything bad to you. It's just the one way that works for you. At the beginning. But she herself is very ashamed, therefore, in ordinary conversations, Sonya will try to convince you that you do not need to work so much. And when enough time has passed for you to accept that fact a little. These "manipulations" will go away completely. Then Sonya herself will not hate herself for making you feel.
She will do her best to answer you with the same good that you give to everyone. If she finds out that you're in trouble or you just want something. She will find it and bring it to you, even if you refuse.
After all, "Y/N, you are such a wonderful person that this gift is enough for me to express my gratitude."
Miu Iruma.
Your communication from the outside looks very comical. Usually the other classmates look at the two of you and smirk. Especially because of Miu.
"Oh go fuck me suck me hahahaha." Once Miu said this to you in front of the others, when she got tangled in the garden and fell, and you offered your help.
"Suck? Are you hurt? Is there poison? Oh God, wait, please, I'll bring everything!" You almost ran away.
"Okay, that's it, c-that's enough, I was joking, it's okay really, don't worry, look, I'm fine." Miu stood up and twirled in front of you and left quietly.
Usually she does not act vulgarly around you, because you take her literally. And after one incident, she really watches her tongue.
"Help? Help fucking yourself, and then help others, but definitely not me." She said emotionally and immediately regretted it when she saw your expression. "Oh, I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry, wait!"
After this incident, the girl became a friend-mother. She's not trying to change you or anything. Miu only scolds those who ask you too much for help, even if they see that you are already tired. And for you, she is simply trying to improve your vacation or simplify your work.
Bonus.
Monomi.
Rabbit loves you as much as his other classmates. But your kindness makes me shed tears.
"So did you find out anything new? How do we get off this island?" The meeting of classmates began.
"Let's be quiet, otherwise this Monokuma will hear his assistant Monomi." Hinata began to speak, when suddenly a rabbit appeared.
"Guys, I could help you." Monomi says happily, but no one pays attention to her.
"Hey, what do you want to tell us?" You asked good-naturedly, sitting down on the floor at her level. While others were looking at you.
"What are you doing, Y/N? She works with Monokuma, and will you listen to her as well?" Souda asks suspiciously. And in the crowd you can hear Saioji chuckling.
"She was with us before he came, she suffers from his appeal to her, she takes care of us and the local nature. Why are you so callous to her? She tries to help all of us and we are here to save us, but the mastermind was on the move ahead!" You are hugging a white rabbit, who was previously very stiff and constrained due to social awkwardness, and is now ready to cry from such a speech.
Maybe the trick caught some by surprise, but still made someone at least listen and feel sorry especially when the rabbit was no more.

Part 3 of my Encanto au (name is still in the workshop but I am open to suggestions)
Anyway Mirabel's turn!
The first night away from Casita, Mirabel took shelter beneath the bridge from a storm either conjured by Pepa or by nature's perfect timing. The next day is calm and clear and the first breath she took was the smoothest, sweetest breath Mirabel took in her entire life.
She got strange looks for her damp and dirty clothes and whispers suggested frightful rumors about last nights failed proposal. Making a mental note to apologize to Mariano once she has gotten settled, she goes about offering help to whoever needed it.
Her usual tasks involved child tending, which today involved a lot of questions on where her family was, what happened, why haven't they come to town yet, and mama and papa said this or that but my auntie said no and his uncle's friend said something else and Mariano's nose looks like a bruise peach. She tried to answer the questions as vaguely as possible seeing as it was not her business to speak on behalf of her family. She manages to keep them busy and distracted enough until their parents called them home for supper, some offered an empty seat at their tables or an open bed in payment but she declines saying bread and a fruit would be sufficient enough before returning to the bridge.
It goes on like that for several days as the Madrigals stay cooped up in Casita, once in a while someone would be nominated to go check on them then come back being told that they were fine and will be returning to work any day. Afterward Maribel would be pressed if they words had any weight to them to longer her family stayed away.
"If that is what Abuela said, then it will be." She would reply. In the meantime Mirabel was the one called on to help with chores (almost everything short of moving buildings and crying rain down upon the crops). More and more of the villagers begin to worry about her health, seeing as her clothes were becoming rags and it was no secret she lived under the bridge.
They try to be discreet when telling her to take a break, asking her to keep them company with snacks and drinks. Offering to mend her skirts or to make her something new as payment for her hard work. Even the kids take part in helping with her chores, although with less discretion.
A day comes when Maribel runs into the Gúzmans (is that the right spelling??). Ms. Gúzman is easily miffed at the sight of the Madrigal girl that ruined her son's proposal while Mariano looked... concerned. Eying over his was-to-be sister-in-law, how dirty and unkempt she looked despite her awkward smile. He asks if she is okay.
And like the cracks she saw in Casita's tiles, Mirabel cracked too, breaking down into tears and apologies for ruining the proposal and everything else, saying he should talk to Isabela because there are things he should know but she [Mirabel] can't say. It takes some time to calm her down, he kinda of just lets her ramble on incoherently, one hand on her back and continuously nodding like he understood.
Like the softie he is, and with much convincing to his mother, he insists that Mirabel should stay with them. Mirabel tries to refuse but he isn't having it. His argument being that no young woman should sleep without a roof much less the sister of his beloved.
The rest of the townspeople take this opportunity to gift Mirabel with clothes, soaps, perfumes, crafting supplies, anything for all her hardships. Many of them saying that they shouldn't have relied on her family so much, that it wasn't a surprise that they decided to hide away just to get a break. Mirabel could only smile weakly, thinking of her sisters, her aunt and mama, her cousins. Antonio hadn't even gotten to use his Gift for the town yet.
She gets told to take some time to herself and settle in, taking away everything that kept her busy and distracted, and Ms. Gúzman refusing any help with the housework -still a bit miffed. Mirabel turns to her craft work, her old hobby. She's a little rusty but once she gets into it her work table is quickly filled with plush animals and a few dolls with prettily embroidered clothes. The kids would love the toys.
With permission to borrow a basket she takes the toys into town, talking and laughing with her new neighbors along the way. In no time Mirabel is swarmed with children all compliment her new clothes, some of the older ones awing about how pretty she was. When she started passing out the toys she made the crowd of children grew, some adults even looking their way with curiosity, soon enough she had one left over. Watching pleased at how the children ran off with each other starting different games to involve their new toys.
She decided to take a stroll around town, dodging out of the way of kids chasing each other in "hunting" games. Turning one corner she spots a young couple... but one of them Mirabel could have sworn seeing just earlier talking to the baker.
The longer she watched, unnoticed by the pair, she caught on to familiar habits the one made.
"Camilo?" She called out, slowly approaching them.
The startled look she got proved her theory right, as her disguised cousin tried to refuse it. Mirabel eyed over his companion (guy, girl, take your pick) briefly before looking back to Camilo even less convinced than when he started talking.
"Cami, calm down," her expression softened at him as he shifted to his normal form, guilt in his face. Mirabel looks to Camilo's "friend" and back again. "You should be more careful, disguised or not, rumors will spread."
They both look at her startled and embarrassed. Camilo relaxed first, a weakly humored smile on his face. "You... you won't tell right?"
"Who would I tell?" She asked. "And what would I tell them?"
His smile fell with guilt, his eyes falling to the ground. "Right... Casita misses you, we miss you too."
Mirabel pulls her cousin into a tight hug, it takes him a bit to return it, his face pressing into her neck when he does. "I miss you guys too." She whispers to him.
After a minute or so of catching up, Camilo switching to another disguise, Mirabel gives him the last toy, a plush parrot, for Antonio and a letter.
"Ask him to give it to the rats in the walls," she says with a wink, "they will know what to do with it."
He takes the items confused but nods nonetheless.

Cake
Neji knew true happiness. It was lying in the grass on a warm afternoon, watching the clouds drift by as soft snoring filled the silence. It was pondering his next move on the shogi board as the shadows beneath it came alive to distract him. It was lazily hooded eyes sharpening whenever he told the Nara he loved him. Happiness was love.
He also knew true sadness. It was watching the boy he loved walk through the busy streets of Konoha hand-in-hand with a familiar Suna girl. It was hearing the girl confirm to their friends that they were a couple. It was burying his pain because no one knew about their year-long relationship, save for Shikamaru's parents. Sadness was betrayal and heartbreak.
Neji approached the Nara residence at dusk, when the setting sun painted the sky red. He was calm, at least outwardly, when he was met by Shikamaru at the entrance. "I left a few things here," he explained.
"Yeah..." was Shikamaru's short answer. He didn't dare look the Hyuuga in the eyes.
The two were silent as Neji searched Shikamaru's bedroom for all of the things he had brought over to make his frequent stays more comfortable: a hairbrush, several hair ties, a toothbrush, a clean change of underwear, and other items. When it was all safe in his pack, he turned to his ex-boyfriend, desperate to know the answer to one simple question. "Why?" Briefly, he was startled by how hurt he had sounded when he had meant to demand an answer.
The Nara flinched, then focused his attention on the quilt folded atop his dresser, anything but the pained expression on Neji's face. "We can't be together in the long run. You said it yourself...Your clan would never allow it..."
A lump formed in Neji's throat. "All of that tactical genius, and you never even tried to find a way around my clan's laws? Just tell me the truth, Shikamaru. You didn't want me in the long run..."
His silence was his concession.
With a nod, Neji brushed past Shikamaru's shoulder. "I just wish you hadn't been unfaithful. Then, I might have been able to work with you. Choose Hinata if you need a Hyuuga."
...
Despite his harsh words, Neji found himself at Shikamaru's door by the week's end. News had reached Team Gai of Temari's return home, and Neji had seen it as a sign from the heavens to sacrifice his pride on the altar of Shikamaru's futon. The real sign was Shikamaru's absence, though. Sighing, he sat on the edge of the old porch, the boards creaking under his weight, and questioned his own actions. When had he become so desperate?
"My kid can be such an idiot..." the unmistakable lazy drawl of Nara Shikaku mused.
Neji watched as the clan head rounded the corner of the property and sat himself beside him with a grunt that indicated aging joints and an aching back. Comfortable in the older man's presence, Neji pulled a knee up to rest his chin on, preparing for a dose of blunt wisdom. "I know..."
"A little too well, huh? I met his new girlfriend. Sorry..."
Neji swallowed the lump forming in his throat. "He should be the sorry one..."
"Is that why you're here? To make him sorry?"
Shamefully, he shook his head, layered strands swaying with the motion. "I don't know why I'm here..."
"I do."
Feeling exposed, Neji turned his head in an attempt to hide the color on his cheeks.
"You were going to let him have his cake and eat it too."
The wording had him flustered. Pulling his other leg onto the porch, the Hyuuga clan's genius turned bodily away from Shikaku and hid his face in his arms, which he had folded over his knees.
"If you do that for him, all you'll be doing is keeping her side of the bed warm for her until she comes back."
That had been unnecessarily harsh. Refusing to break in front of Shikaku, Neji got up to leave, but he was caught in place before he could reach the steps.
"You deserve someone who respects you, someone who will be honest with you."
His words touched a part of him few had ever reached, but, still, he kept the dam before his tears firmly in place. "I thought he did respect me. I thought he was honest..."
"Yeah, well, you don't know an honest man until you have to compromise for him."
A familiar sensation crept up his rigid frame and manipulated his body until he was finally facing Shikaku, who was leaning comfortably against the outside of the building. Neji's brow furrowed. "Had he been honest with me, I might have considered it..." he admitted.
Smirking, Shikaku shook his head. "Tch. You were here to compromise."
Trapped in the grip of his shadows, all the Hyuuga could do was stare elsewhere, where he wouldn't have to see the judgment on Shikaku's face. It was undeniable. He had been willing to be Shikamaru's booty call while his girlfriend was away. He caught movement in his peripheral vision, though, that pulled his gaze back. The shadow master stood before him, too amused for Neji's comfort. Was he enjoying his suffering? Did he find his weakness funny?
No, it was something Neji would have never guessed, not even in his wildest dreams.
"If you want to compromise for someone, I have this arrangement with Yoshino. I allow her to continue seeing her girlfriend, which she's had since she was in the academy, and she allows me to see any man I want."
Speechless, Neji could only blink as the Nara leaned closer until the tips of their noses bumped gently together.
"And I actually do eat the cake."
The quietest gasp was sucked in through his awe-parted lips, then promptly turned into shared breath between them as Shikaku recognized his consent and claimed a kiss. It was wrong, so wrong, but Neji had never been so aroused in his life. Why had he spent the last year dating a boy when a man could have been treating him like this?

Masterlist
Tumblr media
For the whole next week you are helping your parents, who are trying to plan you soon-to-be birthday. No need to mention, you don't want to celebrate, when your head is busy with what happened between you and Kaz.
You love him, really love. And you aren't even angry at him, because everyone makes mistakes. But sitting like this, doing nothing and waiting for Saints know what is slowly killing you.
You met with Inej and Nina for several times to discuss it, but they couldn't advise nothing, but to wait.
Your mother, in her turn, decides to invite all your friends. Means, all the Crows will be at one place at the same time, and it's definitely going to be fun. Maybe you just need a little bit of distraction.
Your birthday is your father's day off, so your house is soaked with pastry smell from base to the roof from the very morning.
Since your dad is preparing everything at home, it is your turn to help your mother at her work. It is where Kaz's messenger finds you.
A small note shakes in your hands slightly, as you can't stop it.
"If you didn't change your mind, come"
You chuckle. In the end of the note you see a small ink scratch of a crow foot. Kaz always signs notes for you that way.
– Are you planning on standing like that and keeping him waiting?
Your mother's voice rings from your back.
– How do you-
– You have this face again, - she smiles shortly at you and nods towards the door. – Go, girl. I can manage this place by myself.
The wooden door squeaks and you come inside the office. Kaz is sitting behind his table as usual, but he instantly stands up, when you appear at his doorway.
– Hey, - your awkward smile lightens up his worried face a bit. – Something important for me?
You don't know why he called you here, but don't want to have a false hope.
– Yes...it is important, - the man comes up to a drawer and takes out a silver bracelet, the one that matches your pendant. – Happy birthday, Y/N.
He extends his arm to you for taking it, but you only come up to him and cover his gloved hand with yours.
– I will never change my mind, Kaz. Not for you.
Brekker sighs heavily and raises his glance on you, making you shiver. You have never had a thought of how it could be hard not to see him for a week.
– You will be in danger every single minute of your life, - his firm tone makes you nod. – And we will both live under constant pressure.
– Fine.
– Not to mention, that I can never give you a full life, and-, - you make him stop with your hand on his, giving the man a slight squeeze.
– What do you think full life is, Brekker?
He shakes his head, aware of the fact, that you will never agree with him on this point. A faint smile of yours reassures him a bit, and when you start speaking, he relaxes.
– Having you by my side, Kaz, is pretty enough for me. Frankly, - you slowly take off his gloves, one by one, laying them on the table. – It is the only thing I can dream of.
You are so close now, and want to kiss him so badly. Brekker's gaze drops to your lips and you understand his intention quite clearly.
With a shaking breath he moves to you, and you can only imagine how hard it is for the man. Yes, he advanced greatly with this, you can now even allow yourself an accidental brush across his hand, but a kiss is another thing.
– You don't have, if you don't want to, Kaz. I can wait.
He shakes his head reluctantly, and lays his bare hand on your shoulder.
– The problem is that I don't want you to wait, Y/N.
With that he slowly shortens the gap and brushes his lips across yours. It is merely a kiss, but it feels like heavens for you, as it is literally your biggest dream, that, you think, was impossible.
The grip on you shoulder tightens, and you can barely hold back a smile. It is a big move for Kaz and you as well, so you can't be nothing but proud of him. Even if he is a bit nervous.
Then he breaks the kiss after a dozen of seconds and touches your forehead with his, staying like this for some time.
– It is not stolen.
– What? - you leans back to meet his gaze. The man nods towards the bracelet on the table he gave you.
– The bracelet is not stolen. I bought him in-
You shut him up with another careful kiss, this time more passionate, not afraid for his reaction. You can swear, Brekker grins tensely in the kiss, as you can feel it with your skin.
Kaz Brekker, Bastard of the Barrel, bought a birthday present for you, matching with his previous gift. What else could you dream about, really?
– I turned out, - Kaz tries to calm his breath. – Liking you a lot more that I originally planned.
– Is it anything, that you don't plan?
– You, kissing me for the second time. It wasn't planned.
You chuckle and instantly find his other hand to hold, but he halts. Seems, it's too much for him in one moment. Brekker gives you an apologetic smirk.
– You are doing great, - you smile to him, trying to reassure.
– I still need time to work it through.
– You are not alone, Kaz, - he keeps staring at you in a kind of awe. – We will work it through. I will help you.
Brekker grins at you and reaches for the bracelet on the table to lock on your wrist.
– Will you come to the dinner?
You suddenly remember about today's birthday party. Now, when everything is settled down between you two, you can think about planning again.
– I'm not sure-
– Everyone will be there, Kaz. And you know my mother will be happy to see you.
Brekker hesitates. Though you don't want to force him and rush the moment. But it would be lovely to see him along with your friends and family.
– You know, I don't suit family dinners, Y/N.
His half broken voice makes your heart ache for him. Why he can't understand this? He is worth everything. You know his fear of not being able to give you full live pretty well. Because partly it is your fear too. That your efforts will be not enough for both of you.
Not to worry Kaz even more, you lay your hand on his elbow.
– I will be waiting for you today's evening, love. But it all is up to you.
You turn to leave, not noticing him freeze from the nickname you give him. He surely doesn't let it just pass by. And when the door closes, he still stands in the middle of his office, trying to collect himself after your visit.
The noise in your house is pleasant with everyone chatting and telling stories. You look them over and smile. Every Crow finds its place here.
Nina is busy with your mother at the kitchen, dragging Matthias with her. Jasper is telling your father about shooting and Inej only smiles shyly, when your mum tells her to make herself comfortable.
Everyone is on the place. Everyone except Kaz. He still doesn't show up, and your hope is slowly getting lost in a cword laughing.
You know it is not his intention to upset you, Brekker just doesn't like big companies and can't find a proper place for himself.
And when the sudden knock on the door rings, you instantly rush to open it. The wide smile appears on your lips as you see Kaz, who's grinning shyly at you.
– You came! - you want to hug him, but refuse just in time.
– Happy birthday again.
You smirk and nod towards the room.
– Won't you come in? - that hope in your glance is so visible, that you don't even need to beg the man. – The party isn't complete without you, Kaz.
He chuckles, coming closer to you, but shakes his head reluctantly.
– It's too crowded for me.
– It's not a crowd, Brekker. They are your friends too, - seeing that you almost win, you continue to force him. – Come on, Kaz, join us. My mother adores you.
– Yes, that's exactly what I'm afraid of, - he surely notices another woman's steps towards the door, and steps back to hide in the shadows, but your mum is not that naive.
– No, no, Mr. Brekker. You will not fool me like this, - you put your lips in a thin line to hold back a laughter. This woman knows how to get under someone's skin. – We saved a seat for you. So, hurry up.
With that she comes back to the kitchen.
– You heard her, Kaz. You have no choice now.
The man walks out of the darkness with that one-sided grin, the one you love the most. He comes in to let you close the door.
Everything goes well, you mother is hovering around Kaz like a mother hen, that makes you smile even more than before. It isn't really a birthday party, but a family dinner just with more members.
– So, you, Mr. Brekker, are up to illegal things here in Ketterdam, am I right?
The sudden question from your father makes everyone shut up, even Jasper. Little do they know, he isn't a strict man. He asks it just out of interest, and they shouldn't be nervous like this.
Kaz tenses and you don't get to somehow show him, that it's alright, when your mother comes back from the kitchen with her famous apple pie.
– Do not scare our guests, Y/F/N. Let them enjoy the dinner.
You suppress a smile to your mum, who stands next to Brekker, knowing this question is for him. Seems, she likes him most of all and even ready to protect from your father's curiosity.
Your father starts cutting the pie.
– I don't care what he is doing, until he's a gentleman. Manners make the man.
Kaz casts a glance to you across the table, and you just nod to show, everything is okay. He's a perfect gentleman, it's for you to know for sure.
When the dinner is over and the Crows go to the Slat, Kaz stays for a little, letting them to leave you two alone.
It's long past midnight, when you walk him to the entrance door.
– Thank you, Kaz, - he comes out and turns to you. – Your presence means a lot to me. And your gift too. Thank you.
He nods, but isn't going to leave. You close the door behind you and take his gloved hand to lead him to the nearest bench. The day was amazing, and you are not ready to let him go yet.
The skies are glowing with millions of stars tonight, and your glance is stick to it. You don't notice how Kaz is looking at you.
– Thank you for the invitation then. I have never had a family like yours to be around.
Your eyes meet his and these sad sparkles in his voice makes you thinking of something.
– Well, you have now. A very big one, actually.
Kaz glances at you, making goosebumps run down your forearms. How can a single glance give you such reaction?
You know, that he's hard to persuade, but you really want him to know, that he has a safe place to go to.
Brekker doesn't respond and when he switches his gaze above his head to look at the starts, you notice his eyes are a bit watered.
You think about how much he suffered, and how you can help him to make peace with his past from now. You, your friends and your family will be always here for the man.
The sudden thought of his last improvement comes to your mind.
– Kaz, - you call his name, but he doesn't move. – Your brother would be so proud of you.
He immediately turns to your, eyes are searching for something on your face. But you are serious as never before. Brekker's trauma is a constant reminder of Jordie, but he can't remember his family like that. There should be something good in it.
His glance slips to your lips, and for a couple of moments he can't take his eyes off. He takes one shaking breath, overwhelmed by unspoken words and emotions.
– May I.
You know that this day is the hardest for the man, and you're pretty aware of his boundaries, but just can't let yourself stop him.
You nod and he takes one of his gloves off, slowly caressing your cheek. When he is about to lean forward, you stop him in an inch from his lips with a whisper.
– You are the strongest person I know, Kaz Brekker.
Your heart sinks down, when his lips finally touch yours in a slow tender kiss.
You want to embrace the man, but try to keep your hands out with all your strength. With every second passing, you feel Kaz relaxes, and it brings smile to your lips.
He brakes the kiss and furrows.
– What? - Brekker's face almost makes you grin more. You shake your head.
– Nothing. Just love you.
Actually you can do it all night long, telling him the truth and watching him falling in a sort of shock. And his reaction only encourage you to go on every time.
The man shakes his head in disbelief and gives up a smile, the kind you didn't see before.
– It's...I'm a fool, when it comes to revealing feelings, Y/N, - you shake his world completely, but Kaz starts getting used to it. – But I want to tell so much.
– I will not force you into anything against your will.
He shakes his head and moves closer. You are so warm and radiant, he just can't stay cold and collected with you around, doesn't want to anymore. Of course, for everyone else he is still the same Kaz Brekker, but not for you.
– I just want you to be patient at this point, Y/N.
– I've been knowing you, Kaz, for two years, - your light chuckle touches his heart. – Patience and I are long friends.
– So? - he raises his brow to you.
– So, I can live with that, Kaz Brekker. For as long as you will have me.
This smile of his can melt you to the ground and you smile to him back, turning your gaze to the skies again.
After a second you feel his gloved hand covers your fingers, and grin.
This day is your pure bliss, and you two will endure everything else together.
So, this is the end of it! Thank all of you for likes and comments, I hope you really enjoy it ❤
Actually, I have an idea of writing The darkling x reader imagine. Maybe, you'll be interested :D

Jennifer
Tumblr media
Summary: yn finds out the truth between Derek and Jennifer
Note: Red is lyrics. italics are thoughts, blue italics is flashbacks.
Warning: angst
Listen, no, we don't need to be enemies
"Yn...please you don't have to do this..." Derek begged as he followed Yn around as she packed her stuff. "Think this through correctly, think of Scott... think of the pack" Derek grabbed her wrist softly.
Yn yanked her wrist away from his grasp. "I already thought of it... I made my decision Hale. Tell Scott I'm out of the pack... but that doesn't mean I won't help if needed" she sniffed as she zipped her suitcase.
The vision of us in the future with a white picket fence and eternal decisions
She wipes her nose as her heart aches to look at the metal on her hand. Yn shut her eyes as tightly she could, still not believing the betrayal Derek has done. She took off the engagement ring he had given her only a couple months ago.
She threw the ring to him "Give it to Jennifer" she spat out bitterly. "We almost had it all you know... it was in the palm of our hands and you had to go and fucking throw it away like you did with my heart" her voice rose shakily.
"What do I tell the pack..." Derek murmured softly "Are you fucking kidding me? What do I tell them? Oh I know, sorry Lydia, sorry Allison. The wedding's off. Sorry, Stiles, you can't Dj our wedding now because Derek doesn't know how to keep it in his damn pants!"
"We can work through this bab-" Derek was interrupted by her pointing finger "Don't you dare call me baby..." the two stared at each other in silence.
'Actually.. don't bother. Tell everyone the wedding is still happening. Expect I'm not the bride and Jennifer is" she huffed put as she pulled her suitcase out the door, leaving Derek alone.
All my friends fake 'cause they told me that shit wasn't real, it was all in my head, I imagined that
"Yn no, hear yourself... Derek would never cheat on you. Escapilly with Jennifer. He loves you so much. Whatever you saw between him and Blake wasn't real." Lydia rubs my back.
"You have said you haven't been sleeping much back then... maybe you were seeing things. If you went missing, Derek would literally tear the roads to find you" Allison chips in.
"If you walked into Scott fucking someone would you like it if I said those things? Or if Aiden was sending sexts to some random ass girl you only know by name?" Yn snapped as she stood up from Lydia's bed
"I know what I saw" she sneered as she walked out the door.
Now I'm sitting here wondering when did this all start?
Yn sat in Stilinski's guest room, she was close with Stiles since he always viewed her as his older sister. She stared at the mirror, showing her sad reflection.
Her thoughts filled the quiet room as she tried to retrace the steps of when Derek laid his eyes on Jennifer Blake. Yn realized it was when the birds flee in the classroom. That's what caught his attention on her.
She silently cursed the pack for telling Derek what happened that day but took it back knowing they had to.
More thoughts began to fill her head. What did he see in Jennifer, why did he do it if he was really in love, and did he even love her at all?
Fuck you and Jennifer, I know that you're out with her
"Hey Derek, where are you? I've been waiting at this restaurant for two hours" she huffed as she ignored the sad stares.
"Yn I'm so sorry but Scott needed-" Derek's lie was interrupted by a women's voice "Derek? Aren't you going to come back to the bedroom?"
Yn felt her heart drop "Who's that Derek?" she snapped. Derek huffed at the other end "If I wasn't interrupted you'd hear me say. Scott's mother needs help redecorating the bedroom. I took longer than my thirty-minute break" he lied.
"Oh.. Okay... so do I-" Yn was interrupted once more but Derek " I really have to go Yn bye"
Go pretend that you're just friends. I'll pretend that I'm not hurt
"YN, I swear nothing was going on with me and her...we are just friends!" he chases after her. Yn shakes her head as tears streamed down from her face. "YN please please. She means nothing to me.".
"You slept with her didn't you.." She asked in a hoarse voice. Derek looked at her then at the ground. "She means nothing to me" he repeats as he looks up at me.
"It's fine... I'm fine" she whispers in a shaky voice, lying. She knew she was lying, just like she knew Derek was lying
Don't need to spend all my time on you, not like I was in love
Days passed and after thousands of calls from the pack and Derek. Yn decided to call back.
"I'll come back under one condition and that condition is he doesn't try to contact me...I don't need to spend my time on someone who I never loved" She lied.
It was hard after a couple of days for Yn but she finally got up on her feet quickly. She refused to let out tears for a man who doesn't deserve them.
She began to work out more and focus on things that actually mattered. When she walked into Scott's house and all eyes were on her, surprised she actually showed up."YN!" the girls yelled as they hugged her.
"Hey..." she hugged back, half-heartedly. "Glad you're back" Derek nods towards me. Yn glared at Scott "I said I wasn't coming if he was here Mccall." The pack became quiet. Yn shook her head "You know what? Forget it, tell me what's going on"
Scott explains everything that has been going on and together they made plans on how to get the parents back. After a couple of passing hours, Yn got up to get her jacket.
"I'll walk you out.." Derek speaks up. Yn rolled her eyes and walked with him. "You look amazing YN" he speaks up as they left Scott's house.
"You walked me out...you can go back now...". Derek shakes his head "I'm sorry YN...it was a stupid mistake and I need you back. I need to hold you again and kiss you."
Yn, let a dry laugh "You know, these couple of days have been hell. Thinking I was to be blamed for this mess. No, it was you who couldn't keep it in your pants. I learned to better myself without someone to lean on, with you."
Derek looked at her with sad eyes but she could care less "So, I thank you for teaching me how I can live without you or a man in that matter. Goodbye Derek."
Yn smiled as she left him alone in Scott's driveway. "I hope you treat Jennifer better than you treated me," she told him one final time before getting into her car.

you were sitting on your bed, in the room you shared with your roommate. she wasn't there, gone to her weekly dance class.
every thursday and tuesday, at 6pm until 8pm sharp. your friend was very punctual, and that suited you perfectly.
because usually, at that time, during those two short hours that you shoto would come and spend some time with you in that room.
it was never anything serious, just a good time that the two of you would give each other. kisses that were worthless, soft caresses yet devoid of feeling, sighs and i love you's that were deprived of love echoed and echoed between the walls of the university room.
it had started only 6 months ago, at a mutual friend's party. todoroki was the rich boy in business school. classy, elegant, handsome, and a smooth talker, he had absolutely every girl on campus at his feet.
so, you could say you were slightly surprised when you saw him accost you in the kitchen, where you were trying to relax a bit. you had hooked up, the discussion was not forced, one thing led to another - and especially under the effect of the euphoria felt at the very moment - you had ended up in bed together. you could remember that it was the best sex of your life. and yet you had had quite a few.
a bitter taste stuck in your mouth.
the day after that night, he had found your number and offered to continue. nothing serious of course, just something where you would both enjoy each other. no empty feelings. he had used a phrase,... friends with benefits, that's the term he had used.
stupidly, you didn't hesitate. because after all, you were young, and you needed to unwind with classes and all. and it's not like you could fall in love with a guy like that.
only you were so wrong.
you slowly came out of your thoughts to look at the time. 6:01 p.m. Your friend had gone out ten minutes ago, so Shoto should be back any minute.
a sigh escaped your lips at the scenario that was about to unfold.
and yet you were the only one to blame, or rather your stupid heart. or maybe your stupid ease of attachment to people who couldn't care less about you.
you lay down and stared at the ceiling.
you knew his weaknesses, what he liked to do on a sunday afternoon, the things that made him angry, just as you knew every inch of his body.
and how the fuck could you not fall in love with him?
a salty taste comes to your lips, tears. you bite your upper lip, silently. and yet you knew it wouldn't be mutual. and it never would be. because he was simply shoto todoroki.
« you spend a lot of time with that boy, what's his name again ? your roommate yells at you from the bathroom. is there something going on between you or something ? »
the heat came flooding in on your cheeks.
« no... no! it's just that we have mutual friends, that's all. »
« yeah sure ! but be careful though, he's known to break hearts this guy [..]. »
that talk you had three months ago echoed ironically in your head. breaking hearts. and yours, by the way.
you go over the plan in your head. before things get hot, you tell him. all at once, well almost all. you just tell him you want out of this relationship.
and so you say everything without pauses, at the risk of crying in front of him. the best thing is that you remain insensitive.
someone knocked on the door. 6:12 pm, he's here.
« y/n, it's me. » he said in his deep voice, which always made you shiver.
you got up and opened the door for him. a small smile lit up his usually stoic face. as you spent more time together, shoto had managed to get more and more comfortable with you, and that could only warm your heart.
« sorry for the delay, the traffic was heavy. »
he went to sit on your bed after taking off his shoes. a worried expression grew on his face when he saw that you said nothing.
« if you're tired, we can meet again next week. i know it's tiring with exams right now. » he said in a kind voice.
could he stop being an angel, just thirty seconds, you said to yourself silently. in just a few steps, you crossed the room and placed a long passionate kiss on his lips, and it was with great pleasure that you felt him respond with the same ardor. you had to feel it one more time before you put an end to this whole mess.
his lips tasted minty, and they were angelically sweet. addictive, that's what his kisses were like. you felt his tongue asking for permission to find yours. and for a few seconds, a feverish waltz settled between your two mouths.
you felt as if long hours had already passed. and you still wanted more to be added, or for time to stand still. but you wouldn't let him go.
and yet.
you shifted from him. he was a mess, his hair untidy from your hands that had to find a support, his face was a dark red.
a small laugh escaped his lips.
« what's this ? a goodbye kiss ? »
you looked away from him. and that's how he understood.
« what ? tell me something. »
« i want to stop this. I'm not interested in our evenings together anymore. »
you didn't need to see him to understand that he was sad now.
« did i do something wrong ? »
his hand came to yours, its warmth melting you.
« no, not at all. i just want to stop this. »
you knew him now, and you knew he'd try to figure out what the problem was. you just needed him to be angry with you, so your feelings for him, the first to be touched, could surely fade. at least you hoped so.
« it's gotten boring with you. you faced him, your gaze now cold. i've grown tired of you, so find someone else to satisfy you. »
his eyes reflected a melancholy that you had never seen in him before.
« y/n, i didn't stay 6 months with you just for sex... i like talking to you. »
your heart skipped a beat. of course, shoto, as a friend.
« that's not my case, todoroki. you were a good lay in bed, and you helped me forget the stress of college. but that's over now, get your shoes and get out. »
despite your command, he didn't make a move. his eyes analyzed you carefully, before his sigh echoed in the room.
« you found someone, didn't you ? you thought you could hear a little regret in his voice, but why ? sorry, i won't bother you anymore then. i'm happy for you. »
he got up and walked to the entrance, where his shoes were.
« i- no... »
how could he not see that you only had eyes for him ? that the other people who were just accosting you, were immediately raked ? a sincere anger went through your body now. you were angry at him now that he didn't notice your love for him.
« i love you. » you said in a quiet voice.
you saw him stop, his back was to you. fuck, that wasn't part of the plan.
« i don't want to see you anymore because i love you. because i know it will never be reciprocated. so please leave. »
he turned around just enough for you to meet his eyes, full of sorrow. a stranger might have thought it was you who had just broken his heart. or maybe you had really broken it ? you'll never know.
« no, y/n. i can try, we can try. it doesn't have to end like this. you're not like the others, i don't want to let you go. »
« i know you can't love me like i love you. don't make promises to me. »
« but i don't want to leave yo- »
the fact that he refused to leave you, to end the relationship, only gave you false hope.
« get the fuck out ! »
your sudden irritation startled him slightly. but he knew you were right.
« i-... i'm sorry y/n.- »
« stop apologizing, it's not your fault. »
« i wish it had ended differently. »
and silently he left your room, leaving you alone with your tears.
your old discussion with your roommate came back to you
« [...] he's known to break hearts this guy. but i have to admit that he's charming, anyway i care too much about my heart and my feelings to make love to him. » said your friend from the bathroom.
« i don't fall so easily, f/n. and stop it, you sound like my parents. you say laughing. »
i wish you would have told me i love you too, shoto todoroki.
