I bet y'all "ace is traitor" theorists feel real dumb right now huh?
Y'all were like "ace secretly resents yuu" then the game was like "no actually ace loves yuu very much and his greatest heart's desire is for yuu to be able to go back home and come back here"

Something that is canon in my mind that I forget to tell people:
The reason why Steve canât get bitches in his Scoops Ahoy era is because thereâs a rumor going around that heâs gay (probably because someone caught him hooking up with Eddie)
#how else can you explain it???#he is so so babygirl#all the girls would be literally at his feet begging for this man to date them#unless⌠they think heâs trying to make them his beard#also with the lipgloss and mascaraâŚ#it just adds fuel to the fire#and think. if Steve and Eddie were hooking up before scoops in a fwb gone wrong or secret relationship gone wrong type of situationâŚ#aka Steve catches feelings and runs because of internalized homophobia and a fear of getting caught#there could be a season three rewrite of Steve catching feelings for Robin because she reminds him of Eddie#and after Robin comes out to him#Steveâs like âoh. maybe there are more people like me in Hawkins than I imagined. if she deserves a happy ending with a girl#why canât I get a happy ending with a guy?#and steve slowly is able to come to terms with his sexuality#meanwhile eddie seeks out Dustin and the kids who steve has ranted and raved about#but he plays it off as him happening to find lost sheep#lots of thoughts⌠lots of thoughtsâŚ#all thoughts to explain why Steve isnât able to get bitches#steve harrington#steddie#stranger things#scoops ahoy steve#stranger things headcanons

tbh i think volo would have been significantly more normal and fine if he hadnât been hiding so much of his true feelings and personality. like when you deny yourself genuine human connection to that degree youâre probably going to come off as a machiavellian monster who wants to make the world and the lives of others worse, but looking at his actual stated motivations and intentions itâs clear to me at least that the guy is deeply empathetic and idealistic and more than anything disappointed that the world canât be better
#volo#pla#i donât even think the game wants you to think heâs That Bad#given the way laventon discusses him talking about the pokĂŠdex and peacefully/awkwardly leaving#the way his eyes go all weird makes me think they were going for almost a jekyll and hyde psychotic break thing#but people kinda projected another kind of villain trope onto himâthe calculating immoral sociopathâand thatâs the common interpretation#itâs like the opposite of when people look at villains who are meant to be completely terrible and find redeemable things about them#insisting that the writers wanted people to see those things as well#i might be doing that myself but just looking at the text and themes of the game it seems to me that youâre supposed to feel bad for him#rather than like violently hate him#even just with the way the player looks at him when he walks away#and thatâs not even getting into shit that happens in pokemas#like sorry man volo unintentionally and incidentally prompting arceus to separate the train guys does not make him evil#that was arceusâŚ#same with the player character although i think volo would have had more of a reason to tell them whatâs going on#ingo was accepted in hisui#they werenât#anyway sorry i just wanted to add my take to the many floating around#maybe im wrong or you disagree! thatâs fine#but yeah

y'all for fucking real. don't fucking write slave fics or x reader fics of aventurine's slavery??? are you guys out of your goddamn minds???
#i swear half of you don't fucking think.#what makes you think it's okay or âangstyâ to write fics about suffering like that#especially without nuance?? or any understanding of the ramifications#its one thing to write about it being integrated into his past#but it's another thing to write it as an *in the moment* thing#especially if you're writing it to portray him being bought again -- who gives a shit if the reader âsavesâ him or âtreats him nicelyâ#that's still a perpetuation of the cycle of abuses#like it's still already brain dead of hoyoverse to write about the suffering of POC by using a fair skinned blonde man#but come on#i thought we were better than this??#like yeahh#dont get me wrong - i love aventurine and his development. the writing is amazing despite how bad form using very white features#to portray a real race of color and it's suffering (the romani)#but you guys. come the fuck on#hsr aventurine#aventurine honkai star rail#aventurine x reader#honkai star rail#hsr#hsr x reader#i know it's âNOT THAT SEROUSâ because it's a fictional game but im still putting tags for racism and slavery bro. wtf y'all#tw racism#tw slavery#random talk

Clone^2 Damian
If you really think about, Damian's situation in the clone^2 au is... kinda tragic? Especially in the early months of his arrival. Like,,, think about it. Damian has always known he was a clone of Damian Wayne, that he was a copy of the blood son. There was nothing 'original' about him, not even his name (of which at least Danny has that). He was just... a replacement. A disposable one, to boot.
And he knew that, to an extent, by the time he was six years old. he might not have been actively acknowledging it -- he's six years old -- but deep down he knew. And like, he's six years old. Every small child craves the love and affection of an adult, especially their parents, and even though he knew he was clone, I imagine he still considered - and still does consider, somewhat - Talia and Bruce as his mother and father. And I really doubt he was... getting it?
Now, I know Talia loves Damian, her son. At least in some interpretations she does, and in this au she does. But... a clone of her son? I'm not so certain if she would have the same affection for baby Dames as she would for Damian. I don't think she would treat him badly, but I don't think Talia would treat him warmly either. Kinda just, distant. Colder than she would have been with OG Damian.
And, I know I've mentioned Damian's arrival from Danny's point of view, and its kind of comical kind of insane from his perspective -- a little boy clone of Damian Wayne falls through a portal and immediately attacks him. That sounds like a bad joke.
But, if you think of this from Damian's point of view? It's like he just got dropped into a scary movie. Like, think about it. You're six years old, and suddenly a portal, as green and as swirling as your grandfather's pools, opens up beneath your feet and sucks you through.
After an intense bout of vertigo, you end up in a massive, urban city -- completely different from the rural mountain palace that you lived in for the last six years of your life, and in this city, you don't know any of the language. You don't know what anyone is saying, you can't read any of the signs - you are completely stranded, away from home.
And then, to make things worse, you're facing a figure with a terrifying mask and eyes as burning green as the portal you fell through. Of course Damian's first instinct, six years old, is to attack. He's terrified.
And this figure, he's not a good fighter, but he's fast, and he dodges you quickly. He grabs your sword with his hands, and tries to restrain you, saying something in a language you don't know. Naturally, Damian is just scared. He's six! He'd just be learning how to read if he was normal child going to school.
This figure halfway through the fight yanks off his mask -- he realizes you're scared -- and looking at you now, is a youthful version of your father. This is a clone of your dad, someone you have never met but, six years old, still wants to. Damian gets defensive. This is an imposter.
But this imposter eventually gets you home with him - and he's using his little box, his phone, to communicate with you through a mechanical voice speaking in arabic. and it's frustrating. The boy, the imposter, can say whatever to you just fine, but trying to talk back is a hassle and a half. He's six, he doesn't have that much patience.
He wants to go home.
And so he keeps trying to run away. He keeps trying to find out of this hellish concrete jungle, and he keeps getting lost. It's loud, and busy, and there are people talking to you and you don't understand them, and there are rules and signs you don't understand - Damian tries to cross the street and nearly gets hit by a car. He doesn't know how the road signs work, he was never taught. They didn't get to that.
And he gets lost. And it gets dark, and Damian is brave, but he is six, and this is the worst stress he's been under in all his six years of life. He wants, desperately more than anything, to go home. Why wouldn't he? The only stable... semi-stable environment he was in just got ripped out from under his feet, literally! He wants his mother.
And it's not happening.
But there's something good to be said, at least. The imposter that looks like his father always comes and finds him, no matter what. He could have left that morning, and he will find Damian at midnight, frazzled and worried, and carrying an extra jacket with him because it is cold in Amity Park and Damian is six years old.
And sometimes Damian attacks him - he's scared and stressed and he doesn't want to be here. And every time he catches the sword. Even though Damian can see it cut into his hand and pearls of blood well up and stains his fingers. Even though Damian can see him wince in pain and bite his lip, he still catches it.
But with that little box, he coaxes Damian to come back with him. It's cold, it's dark, Amity Park is unsafe at night. They can figure something out tomorrow, please. And every time, he agrees, reluctantly. And the imposter takes the extra jacket he brought with -- a flannel, a hoodie, a jacket -- and he wraps it around him. It's warm, Damian's clothes are not that thick, and even though he thinks he might hate this imposter, he still sticks close to his legs as he leads him down the street.
And sometimes the imposter carries him, because Damian's shoes are not that thick, and he cuts his foot on broken glass while they're walking home. The imposter sits in the bathroom with him and carefully cleans the cut out, and makes sure it doesn't get infected.
There's hope you know, he still has it. His mother will be looking for him. She'll be worried. He's important to them. Damian may not be the original, but he is still a blood son. He is still her son. She will come find him. This nightmare will end soon. He can go home.
And then weeks pass, and nothing. Then months, and nothing. His family is not coming for him, and it hurts. Hurts more than anything. And yet while that happens, the boy he's attacked, and hurt, teaches himself arabic in order to speak to him. He takes Damian out of the house one afternoon and buys him new clothes, or tries to. And then he keeps buying him new clothes. He gives him blankets and gives up his bed to him until they can get him one himself, and steadily he teaches Damian english.
This boy is kind. Kinder than Damian's ever experienced, and he doesn't know what to do with it. He's devastated by the fact that he is not as important to his family as his family is to him. What do you do when you're six years old and you learn something like that? When a random stranger who looks like your father is kinder to you, and cares more about you than your family did?
And then Damian tells him he's a clone. He's Damian Wayne's clone, and he tells him his purpose - that their grandfather made him to kill him. And the boy, the imposter, Damian thinks he probably already knows that he's a clone. But he doesn't say that. He just nods, and asks him if he wants to tell his original about him.
Damian says no. He doesn't want to. He's tired of living in the shadow of his original. He wants to keep this to himself. This is his. For once, all of this is his.
And to his surprise, the imposter doesn't try and convince him otherwise. He just nods, and says okay. And when Damian asks why, the imposter - his brother - looks at him and says.
"I don't care about Damian Wayne. I care about you." And in Damian's gobsmacked silence, his brother continues. He tells him that if Damian doesn't want to tell his original that he exists, then they don't need to. They don't need to worry about the LoA going after him, because clearly if his 'grandfather' needs to make a clone of Damian in order to take him out, then whatever it was that Damian Wayne was doing to keep himself safe, was working.
"Wayne already has people in his corner, he's got Gotham's army of vigilantes to keep himself safe." his brother says with his eyes as blue as moonlight. "You, however. Do not." And he continues, and says that if Damian Wayne has the same training as Damian does, then he will be fine. He doesn't need to be aware of his clone. Because if DW doesn't know about Damian, then the LoA doesn't either.
And here's the thing. Damian would not have survived in the LoA for long. Not as a clone. No matter what, he was going to die no matter what he did, and sooner rather than later. The sword of Damocles was always hanging above his head in the League of Assassins.
That portal, and meeting Danny, saved his life. There's no way around it. And to an extent Damian knows this even at six years old. He may not be aware that he would've died, but he knows that meeting Danny was the best thing to happen to him.
It's no wonder after that, that Damian is as clingy to Danny as he is. Danny is the first person he's met to offer him unconditional love, with no strings attached, only pure affection.
#dpxdc#dp x dc#dp x dc crossover#dpdc#dpxdc crossover#clone^2#like god can you imagine how scared he must've been? how afraid? he just wants his mom - only to realize he doesnt even matter to her#dpxdc au#danny fenton is not the ghost king#this poor kid man. no wonder he latched onto danny the moment he gave up on the league like a leech. he's a six year old kid man and#it doesnt matter how smart he is or how mature he acts. he still is six years old. he still needs that validation and affection from adults#or from people older than him. and his emotional needs were just not being met in the league.#cue the song âtwoâ from sleeping at last - some of their songs are very clone^2 honestly.#'sweetheart you look a little tired. when did you last eat? come in and make yourself right at home. stay as long as you need.'#'tell me is something wrong? if something's wrong you can count on me'#'its okay if you can't find the words. let me take your coat and this weight off of your shoulders'#'like a force to be reckoned with. am i the ocean or a gentle kiss. i will love you with every single thing i have'#'like a tidal wave i'll make a mess. or calm waters if that serves you best'#'i will love you without any strings attached'#like just. just *imagine* being in damian's shoes during all of this. he's *six* you guys. i've worked with six year olds and they're#pretty independent but they're still six. they get excited when they see their parents and they get upset when an adult is angry with them.#they're still developing their motor skills. they're still developing everything else!

Wip Wednesday
do I have the stage where I start new wips but barely write the one's I have because I'm super indecisive and not inspired? yes. let's hope soon I will be fine and work on my wips I want to work on. Anyway meet new wip where bucktommy will have long angst in their relationship because Tommy needs to grief "what ifs" with Sal he never thought about till he sees Sal as Captain of 118 (it's an au where Sal is a captain instead of Gerass)(it's only the start of the fic btw)
thanks to nonny @racerchix21 and this song (the title taken from the song and it's "I tried to go on like I never knew you"
Tommy knows it all should be in the past. In stolen kisses in bars they knew Gerrard and the team would never come too. In usually passionate and wild - almost never tender and sweet - sex. In secrets they shared under sheets, when they both knew that the moment their fabric cover was gone they couldn't talk about those moments of comfort and vulnerability they shared. In breakfastâs Sal made for him and his nonna's lasagna recipe Tommy cooked for the man. In wild dreams Tommy knew could never be a reality. Especially not when Sal changed stations and firstly their meetups were less and less frequent until they stopped after Salâs wedding.Â
And Tommy swears he thought he was over it. Over Sal. Over dreams of the future they could never share. But one look at the man whose appearance barely changed since Tommy last saw him five years ago, staying near 118 trucks the same way he always did, while talking with Chim, and all that got back at him. All the memories of stolen love and painful hope to be happy, proud and loved. Preferably by his âbest friendâ. By the one of the best men he ever met even if they could be rough with each other or rude or just wrong. Sal always came back with sorry, that Tommy knew was genuine. They were so wrong together, but also so wrongly perfect. So electric. Sal made him feel how almost no one could. Only his first crush Eric from the army, Sal and âŚ
âHey, handsome, sorry for the delay, Hen needed help to choose a present for Karen,â Evan kissed his cheeks, smiling like thousands of suns.
If Tommy didnât know and was pretty acquainted with Evanâs quirks and little signs of his fatigue, he would never think the man just ended his 48 hour shift.
âItâs fine, baby.â
Tommy smiles and he hopes his inner turmoil of seeing an old friend is not shown on his face.
âHave you met my new captain yet?â
âNo, but I donât need to.â
Evan adorably tits his head and Tommy wants his heart to be so fast only because of it and the taste of Evanâs lip balm on his cheek, but he swears he can feel the taste of liquor he and Sal were drinking last time they kissed. Right before Sal asked Jennifer out on their first date.
âI worked with Sal. Even more than Chim and Hen,â Tommy says and Evan for a second frowns and then hits his face.
âAnd they were no less inseparable as you and Eddie,â Chim says, with the loud sound of gum bubbles breaking.
Tommy doesnât know when he and Sal got closer to them, but he would really happy if they never see that Tommy was there at all.Â
âGod, of course. In my defense it was so long ago I just havenât even thought that all three of you were a team.â
âYeah, I left the station almost a decade ago and it feels like it was in another life, so itâs fine, Buck.âÂ
Sal smiles at his boyfriend and Tommy wants to make as much room between them as possible. Maybe it will help him to to separate all these feelings of worry and anxiety and love and confusion from the sight of the man he had loved for years, but had never had the opportunity to own his love completely for himself, never feeling that Sal had given him his heart, and a man who he knows is step away from get into his own chest and rip out his heart with all the vessels and give it to Tommy if he just says the word. Sal would never do it even if Tommy would beg

#I really wanted to write this idea where Saltommy were pretty toxic but not exactly exes#but Sal is happy married man who grieved that he and Tommy were right person but wrong time and moved to his happiness#while Tommy boxed his pain and thought he is over Sal#but Sal is now in 118 and Tommy suddenly faces all the pain and memories and what ifs#and his grief for a while effects his relationship with Buck#and yes no cheating in this fic#Sal is actually good guy here and wants only best for Tommy#who will self sabotage for a while while dealing with the grief of love that he lost and trying to fully embrace the one he has now#saltommy#<- the past(maybe even some flashbacks and not just overall description)#bucktommy#my wips#fic: I tried to go on like I never knew you#sal deluca#evan buckley#tommy kinard#tevan#kinley#kinkley#evan buck buckley#Spotify#salommy

"Batman is a bad person for not killing the Joker at this point."
I'm going to throw you off a roof. Like, you realize he is JUST a guy, right??? A single guy cannot decide that someone should die and kill them, that's not how it works. Weren't we all against cops killing people instead of arresting them, wtf do you think a random (rich and white) guy should be able to do that???
Also, it's a FUCKING COMICS. Like, the Joker will be revived as easily as the batkids are lately. And the writers have no interest in applying rehabilitation, it would not sell if all the famous rogues stopped doing crimes and Gotham got better. And they are USAmericans, half of them probably cannot understand the concept of "rehabilitation > punishment".
Btw, COUNTRIES WITHOUT THE DEATH PENALTY OR EVEN LIFE SENTENCES EXIST! Denmark, for example, doesnât do life sentences and they are very good at rehabitation. You kind of sound stupid when you argue that something cannot be done while other countries are doing it (very usamerican of y'all) So, accept that you do not know shit about the human's mind and possibility for better, and stop with your usamerican "killing everyone I don't like is good" propaganda.
#batman#bruce wayne#the joker#dc comics#my ramblings#sorry saw a politic post where people where bashing Batman for not killing the joker and I had to rant#like how dare you call yourself a leftist if you don't understand that the death penalty is wrong that rehabitation is better than punition#and a single man should never choose if another life is equal because YES BY KILLING SOMEONE YOU ARE SAYING THEY AREN'T AN EQUAL HUMAN#you are breaking the human rights#âI don't see why I would be bad for killing a bad personâ because you're dumb kevin#do you really think most killers don't kill people they think are bad? they do#they don't go around being like âI'm a bad guy!â they think they are the good guys and killing bad guys#like a lot of serial killers who killed women because they hated women due to how they reminded them of their abusive mom#in their mind they were doing the world justice by getting rid of these dangerous bad women#but they weren't#âthe road to hell is paved with good intentionsâ fella#âbut I'm the one who is good!â in your mind with your logic#do you see the logic here? or do you need to go back to high school philosophy's lesson where I learned that shit?!#âI don't think these criminals should have human rightsâ you aren't a leftist get the fuck out of here

following on from this. not to always bring marc into everything (sorry marc) but if assen 2015 had happened against jorge, valentino would have very likely pulled something similar again imo. rather than what he actually did, which is approach marc almost immediately for a nice normal friendly handshake and backing off during the podium celebrations. should be noted that during laguna seca '08, valentino was very much committed to yapping at casey on the podium with the world's biggest smuggest grin on his face
partly that disparity is because jorge not marc was the direct title rival, partly it's because valentino was treating marc with kid gloves right until the second that he wasn't, which marc was seemingly entirely oblivious to. if anyone other than marc had said what he said in that presser, had then continued on with similar rhetoric during sachsenring, valentino would quite likely have gone nuclear. he's done it over less than that. his fondness for marc made him continue to exhibit uncharacteristic restraint... except that fondness unfortunately is what left valentino feeling so very betrayed when (to his eyes) marc could not leave well enough alone
#it's so delightfully tragic isn't it. a lot of 2015 played out the way it did because valentino genuinely wasn't looking for beef#but then felt backed into a corner and decided he had no other option than to blow this shit up#if casey says 'what I think is that we won the race' valentino would've torn him a new one then and there like...#if sete had called assen his best race of the season valentino would've reached for the chalk and incense even sooner#though fwiw I do think the relationship was basically doomed from that point. something would have happened sooner or later#2015 is so funny conceptually because there was already something *off* about it most of the way through. you have the familiar beats#but they shouldn't be HAPPENING with marc. they should be happening with the actual title rival - who vale never properly fought all season#assen 2015 should've been laguna should've been catalunya hell it should've been assen 2004 but it couldn't be#valentino kept accidentally inflicting the psychological blows on the wrong guy because jorge just refused to end up in a straight fight#assen SHOULD have been a pivotal race. but of course it couldn't be because what psychological blow was jorge lorenzo being dealt?#btw the unwillingness to beef doesn't just extend to marc. valentino makes a concerted effort to be uncharacteristically friendly to jorge#still think he would've rubbed assen in his face but. overall! he was trying! which again. very ironic#funhouse mirror ass season i love it dearly#//#brr brr#slowly dipping my toes into dropping 2015 hot takes on tumblr dot com... for so long these have been between me god and my google doc#i love jorge i think he's been involved in a lot of iconic battles i think it's funny not a single one of them happened in 2015#minus kinda phillip island but even there it did feel like the other three were Doing More than him#also just a different vibe to a proper one-on-one. a WEIRD title run where the third man that whole year walks away with the trophy#idol tag

One thing about Crosshair is that heâs a remarkably intelligent man with a good read of people and situations and emotionally wrecked life decision-making skills. Dude will have some truly perceptive insight into whateverâs happening that hits on a grain of truth, and then that insight will be filtered through so many layers of trauma and cynicism that his conclusion will end up at least 90 degrees off whateverâs right.
#for instance: the end of season one#from his perspective it was completely reasonable to assume the batch just didnât care#and that the empire would be around for a long time#and that they were too strong to fight#so the safest thing would be to just stay a part of it#and to invite the people he loved to be a part of it too#in order to protect them#like itâs still wrong because he doesnât have all the information#and doesnât want to think about what the empire is#but there is a rationality to it#itâs not completely unreasonable from his point of view#unreasonable is when he invites his family to the apocalypse#to sell them the worldâs worst action proposal#and thinks that it will work#and not come across as the most unhinged series of things he ever says#âyou werenât loyal to meâ <âguy has a point#âweâre not like the regs. we never have been. weâre superiorâ<âCrosshair stop I donât even think you genuinely believe that#man has never made a life choice with his thinking brain in his life#and I love that for him#heâs messy and complicated and itâs GREAT#and Iâm still waiting to see him really at peace

Noticing that TV and film will often have a character either have had an abortion in the past that isn't showcased on screen (and just used as part of the character's ~fucked up and twisted backstory~) OR contemplate getting an abortion in the present day but not to through with it. Just once I want to see someone delete that fetus within the events of the plot and not be like. Extremely majorly punished for it and/or be in the wrong
#ramblings of a lunatic#was watching a tv show w the fam recently and it's the 2nd series of a show that was clearly written with only 1 in mind#so in the 2nd season a character gets pregnant (bc ofc) and contemplates getting an abortion#only to do the whole 'omg she thinks she's lost the baby and realizes she wanted to keep it all along!'#which like. fine and valid and happens to ppl irl I'm sure#but like. this season doesn't establish if she wanted kids prior or if she has a stable job (she was struggling career wise-#-last season and the timeskip this season doesn't go into it)#AND has this fucking bizarre scene w/ her boyfriend (whos mostly been irrelevant and occasionally annoying up til now)#where he says it's 'our pregnancy' that she was going to terminate and when she (rightfully) bites back-#-saying 'you mean MY pregnancy?!' he just. storms off and deflects#which would be one thing but we have to wrap up the main plot so she just apologizes to him (for other plot stuff)#and we're never given any indication that his opinion has changed and they're just happily parenting at the end of the season#which just. left a bad taste in my mouth#like I KNOW i know not every bad thing said on screen needs a big blinking arrow that points out that it's Bad and Wrong#but idk how I'm supposed to feel in a series that has painted itself as explicitly feminist up til this point#presents the outcome of a woman dating and bearing a child for a man w seemingly zero respect for her bodily autonomy as happily ever after#w no follow up#like the whole series is centered on a group of sisters and this pregnancy story happened to the youngest one#who's always seen as needing to 'grow up' in season 1. so assuming this is meant to be building off that arc it's so WEIRD still#bc yes being a parent is an opportunity for many ppl to mature emotionally but that's not really something the character-#-reflects on all season. it's more abt her burying her past relationship w a season 1 guy (who was infinitely more interesting than new guy)#-than anything to do with that#AND EVEN IF IT WAS the notion of pregnancy as a punishment/reckoning meant to make her grow up or take responsibility-#-which is secretly a blessing in disguise i. god the show fell apart so hard here for me#and my mom and sister were just cooing over the baby at the end and i didn't speak up bc i didn't want to be a bitch#and in all fairness I'm probably being a tad uncharitable in this post but like. don't piss me OFF man#anyway. normalise abortion storylines that aren't backstory fodder and aren't fakeouts for baby plots. please

Itâs also unreal starting 5 again knowing what Walt is going to do to Jesse like. It starts with Jesse vaulting over the hood of a car to bodyblock Mike from shooting him in the head and pleading a âhe dies I dieâ he loves him so much, he is so ride or die; god gives you the best quality little guy of all time and you do not treasure him??? You do this??? This kid single handedly saved your life at great expense 87 times. He cried about hurting your feelings. He bought you chips. You absolute motherfucker.
#you come to me in the company of a most little guy of all time and you do this???#- idk Mike probably#breaking bad#he is 25 and shot a man in the face for you he is the best little guy you were ever going to have literally whatâs wrong with you#in the game of little guys he is an S-Tier pull like what the fuck man. they do not come better and still??? mf

Rosie in episode 7 is so special to me, because when you re-watch it, you can just see why heâs going to ultimately choose to re-up. You can see it from the first scene heâs in. Itâs this guilt of responsibility that will not budge from his shoulders. Itâs all these things that keep happening around him and Nate Mann just rocks this role SO well because Rosie has such little dialogue in this whole episode but it doesnât matter, because you can feel this burning guilt and responsibility building and building in each scene.
It starts with the conversation with Crosby about going to Texas or Florida and his heart clearly not being in it, but listening to Crozâs desperation to get out resonating with him.
Itâs Black Monday - the mission that Rosieâs crew was grounded for that cost 150 of the 100thâs men. When the boys tell Rosie what they saw; that the boys that were on their 25th crashed and those that parachuted out of their planes were killed by the Germans anyway. Itâs Rosie listening so intently, drinking in their stories despite the horror. He doesnât try to placate their anger or their sadness, he just acknowledges it for what it is. Itâs like you can visibly see Rosie taking and holding on to their words
Itâs Rosie surviving 25 and the 100th throwing a party for him and his boys. And in such Rosie fashion, he seeks out Jack when he realises something is wrong, only for Jack to break the news: the tour requirements are changing. Itâs 30 missions now.
Itâs Shoens looking him dead in the eye saying congratulations Rosie. At least youâll make it out of this fucking war alive.
And then itâs Rosie watching the parade of vans carrying bodies out of Thorpe Abbotts, unable to tear his gaze despite it all.
Itâs all these - sometimes little, sometimes big - instances that build up make Rosieâs decision seem to just make perfect sense to the story, without it seeming overbearing or over the top. Itâs understated, yet powerful (much like Rosie himself!).
He barely says anything throughout the whole episode, but I think thatâs what makes it a perfect Rosie episode. Throughout the whole series, Rosie is usually the one listening, rather than the one telling a story - but his presence is still so big despite of it. Rosie doesnât need to talk for the audience to listen.
And I think thatâs reflected both in Rosieâs decision and the way Lt Col Bennett reacts to Rosieâs request. Despite barely knowing Rosie, he seems to understand the weight of Rosieâs presence at the base, and the weight of Rosieâs words. And I loved that Bennett decided not to blindside him with the new strategy, but instead allowed Rosie to make an informed decision. And Rosieâs reaction - unflinchingly meeting Bennettâs gaze and accepting his answer is the icing on the cake.
Rosie is outrageously humble! But understands how others see him and he is ready to take on the weight of that love, pressure and sheer resolve all over again.
#I JUST I LOVE HIM SO MUCH#i usually could not give a shit abt the actor/actresses but I am just so impressed by Nateâs performance to encapsulate Rosie so well like#in this episode when he barely speaks but I just feel like the emotions are portrayed so well#both by what people say to Rosie and how he reacts to it. what he sees and his reactions in response.#that scene when the bodies go by and Rosie watches SO intently and then takes his hat off#he blinks quickly for a moment and you can SEE the distress on his face - if not outright obvious#and when the boys tell him about black monday it's like you can see him shoulder that story and hold on to it. he's listening so intently#and I LOVE that he doesn't say anything to the boys in response bc there is nothing to say. 'im sorry' sounds too pitiful and anything else#might feel insulting. he just acknowledges their words and doesn't try to make them feel any different about it. rosie accepts their#feelings at face value and takes that with him in all his decisions going forward#like. this man contains multitudes and I want to understand all of them#i love the dichotomy between Rosie being literally just Some Guy#and then also being like. a legend who is loved and respected by like. everyone. itâs probably illegal to dislike him in the 100th#just like when Jack got all pissy bc a couple of guys said that Rosie was lucky. like they werenât even been disrespectful they were just#saying Rosie must be lucky to have lived this long#and Jack is like WRONG BITCH THATS ALL SKILL.#like okay?????????#so valid tho#anyway thatâs so rambly I just love him sm#rosie rosenthal#masters of the air#robert rosie rosenthal#robert rosenthal#jack talks#ch: rosie#tv: masters of the air

Death Unyielding, Shadows Rise
Joker Out x Soul Creature AU (2/6)
(A/n: The snippets for the other boys are not necessarily sequential and depict key moments. Some concepts in this work are taken from an animesque C-drama and novel titled âDouluo Continentâ or âSoul Landâ, although I added my own touches and took several liberties and used other inspirations based on other anime and video games.)
Jan Peteh | 18 | Nether Wolf
Jan leaned against the silent, snow-covered stone grotesque he had sought refuge under, its draconic wings spread out over him in a way that felt comforting and protective despite its seemingly ominous presence.
Anyone who would have passed the old graveyard and saw the young man seeking solace and peace in the shadows of the sepulchres and tombstones, would have dismissed him as a lunatic, or more likely, remembered who his family was and attempt to take him back against his will. Remind him of his alleged destiny, and the duties that came with it.
Yet Jan was indeed a misfit from his youth, despite being the son of the kingdom's foremost Star Diviner, he never believed in prophecies, nor did he take comfort in the stars that shone with their golden light, much less their supposed messages.
A cold wind blew past, picking up strands of Jan's now-long hair from its loose ponytail - the long hair he longed to have for years. A flurry of snow followed, pelting the side of his face lightly. Rather than grumble in annoyance however, the dark-haired young man smirked fondly as he stepped out of the shadow of the grotesque's wings and looked over his shoulder.
A tall, dark-haired older man stood a short distance away, clad in furs and animal skins, a massive white tiger with icy blue eyes materialising and nuzzling said man's fur-clad shoulder.
"Took you long enough, Uncle Damir."
Jan was smiling one of his rare smiles as he went over to throw his arms around his favourite uncle, the only man who saw him for who he was, prophecies and the star's whispers be damned. To his uncle Damir, he was simply Jan, and not the third child of a third child who was allegedly destined for the stars and gods as per superstition, and nor was he the betrothed of the obnoxious Prince of Gold and Iron. Uncle Damir was the only person who understood him and what he wanted.
No limits. To grow stronger and to stand on his own. To no longer be bound by the shackles imposed upon him by expectations, contracts and the stars' whispers. A life he could live for himself. Freedom.
The older man returned the hug, before reaching deep into the bag he carried, and pulled out a glowing blue crystal. He held it out to Jan. The time had come for Jan to awaken his Soul Creature.
"And on the occasion that your Soul Creature turns out to be the Celestial Lamb?" Damir asked quietly, his expression kind, but also with a hint of a challenge, daring the teenager to answer truthfully.
Jan squared his shoulders - broad and strong from years of training secretly during the times he escaped from his lessons - his hand inches above the stone as he pondered his uncle's question. He never thought of the possibility, but he supposed that it was a fair question.
Regardless, not even that possibility could quell the dark flame that burned within him.
"It doesn't matter. I'm not staying. I know what's best for me."
With that, Jan touched the glowing crystal with his right hand and closed his eyes momentarily as he felt the rush of soul power wash over him for the first time in his life.
And then, a howl. Jan opened his eyes and saw shadows. Deep, deathly cold shadows that seemed to surround just him and Damir. The older man was looking to Jan's right, with an almost knowing smile on his face, prompting Jan to turn his head.
A large, otherworldly wolf with fur black as shadow, its eyes blood-red, parts of the flesh on its legs, back and belly torn away to reveal skeletal bone. Like Jan, it was surrounded by deep, bone-chilling shadows as well. Dark and cold as death.
"So much for so-called prophecy and superstition," Jan thought to himself as he smiled once more. A genuine smile as he held back tears of joy.
"Shall we go?" Damir pointed a finger towards the graveyard's back gates, abandoned and overgrown. Jan nodded, pulling up his dark hood as they stole away into the night.
He was no lamb, nor did the stars hold any sway over him.
(TL;DR: All his life, Jan found himself a prisoner of prophecy and superstition, forced into a life he hates, due to being a third child of a third child in a northern kingdom where superstition and belief in the will of the stars runs rife, and unrealistic expectations placed upon him simply due to "the whispers of the stars". Yet, all the lone wolf Jan wants is freedom, and to forge his own path. He does not believe in prophecies, nor is he even interested in the healing arts or divination, or being a kept man to the Prince of Gold and Iron. However, the only person who understands him is his uncle Damir, who ends up helping him run away from home, and gave him the opportunity to awaken his soul creature as well. Turns out that Jan had every right to resist and be resentful, as his soul creature is the Nether Wolf with a dark and deathly power, and not the prized but weak Celestial Lamb that heals...everyone was wrong about him and underestimated him, as expected of slaves to superstition and prophecy. Jan is now a fugitive, his life finally his own and coming into the strength and independence that he always had. However...what of the Prince of Gold and Iron? Who exactly is he...? That's a story for a different time. đ)
***Yes...if you're wondering, "Uncle Damir" is indeed Let 3's Mrle. He does bear quite a resemblance to Jan, and has such a cool vibe as well. I find it quite cute to make him related to Jan...imagine little Jan looking up to such a cool uncle when nobody else understands him. Adorable.
Ask me anything about this AU! (I am NOT a writer, so if you want to know more, I'll gladly answer)
