Saw a reddit post today about a girl who was upset that her childhood best friend replaced a photo of the two of them in his wallet with one of him and his girlfriend. And while yeah, she was being unreasonable with a lot of what she was saying, I totally understand the sadness of a friend "replacing" you with someone they have romantic feelings for. Frost: I think Frost would work as an account (the not sexy kind) because idk he has the vibes and he likes math and stuff. He also has his giant backpack, and he has his hiking boots (which i think are very conftrouble because im projecting my fucky knees onto Frost now). And he is greying early and probablly looks older than he is.

Gricko: I probablly made Gricko look cooler than he should but i coudnt resist. I think he'd work at a zoo. He is missing a finger cause normal Gricko has 4 fingers and i thought it would work, plus he has the scar Frost gave him in canon (probablly not Frost inflicted here though). And he has bracelets (green for Frost and brown for Hootsie). Also gave him flipflops cause he aint wearing shoes. Oh and i made his totems heychains.

Hootsie: Hootsie is both a cat and a girl cause she kinda acts like both in canon. And they are named the same because human Hootsie (whose goverment name is either Athena (cause owls) or Helen) named cat Hootsie as a baby. Idk how Gricko got a kid, idk if she's adopted or a bio kid but she's his daughter so who cares, its one of lifes greatest mysteries. I think she'd be mute and the ipad (now with a banana cause bananyas idk if its still called a flypad) has text to speach for her. She has comfy hiking boots (probablly a gift from Frost), and i borrowed some of Grickos colors for her design. She's also like around 10-13? She's a tween.

Twig: she has a baby face but she's like 20-30 something? I'd say. I think she would dress in lolita-foresty kinda vibes, i think it fits. Still probablly has an inn or a restourant not sure. She doesnt change much from canon tbh cause she's already pretty human looking.

Torbek: i made his shirt striped instead of like a restraintment thing he has in canon (defintly intentional and not just because i havent notice that that's what those were). He's sad, he's kinda pathetic, he is probablly living and Frost and Gricko's place (i think Frost and Gricko live together, cause aro life partners/best lads, yes, and Gid and Kremy live together cause "ironic" husbands), and hes being Torbek.

Kremy: made his suit a bit more modern, but still quite vintage (i think he'd like that), oh his (as well as Grickos, Frosts and Hooties) nails are painted, cause they all have claws, and i think it would be cute. Idk what he does. He and Gid got "ironicly" married in vegas, and have been living together for like years, and act in love, but still think they are just friends, and not together.

Gideon: apart from Twig he's the most human looking so not much changes tbh. I made his pants and boots slithly diffrent. I think he'd be a mechanic of some kind maybe? Idk about his gauntlets, i basiclly know nothing. I think he looks like Mace. He has a wedding ring (silver while Kremy's is gold, cause cute matching rings, even tho they both wear silver, but Gid is more fiery so i wanted Kremys to be gold (and to be a color he doesnt really wear so its obviously a wedding ring))

act 1 :

- chettrip is real. at bucks party they were in the room together they were getting FREAKY.

- during that number when the cop interrogates cherry and paul at the top, it seemed like cherry and paul were fighting and paul like told her to stop talking

- melodys mic was UP in far away from tulsa

- during ggah soda was WHIPPING everyone with the towel IT WAS SO FUNNY

- also during fatdi when the girls sing “aint no better than time than” or their little sequence, trip jumped onto the tire and did like “a girly dance” to mock them heheh it was SO FUNNY

- ace still smacked sodas butt

- during fatdi marcia and trip were ALLL over each other. marcia gave him a hug from behind and didnt let go it was so cute

- chet and paul were chatting it up during fatdi

- bob seemed relatively happy during fatdi up until the end

- bob stumbled a lot more very drunk, so did trip they were good at playing drunk.

- when dally got splashed, trip mocked him and dallas PUSHED him to the ground and HELPP it was like paul yelled at trip to go in time out he yanked him up like a cat and pointed to the car HEHEHE

- cam brill was so AGGRESSIVE trying to snatch bobs jacket from cherry. she full on like stumbled backward. trip jumped in her face and she flinched.

- cherry opt up you guys. it was so fricken heavenly. she also added an extra riff oh my LORD IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL I SHOOK. paul was very angry

- paul didnt step on twobit today, he kneeled on his chest instead.

- the darry and dally fight was different than normal. instead of dally overpowering darry, darry pushed him ontop of the car and didn’t let up until sodapop pulled him down. that’s when he fell to the ground.

- cherry’s legs shook during jft like she was uneasy on her feet, clearly nervous.

- melvin dipp during the fire again dont play

- jordan jumping on darrys back at the end of hoods turned heroes HELP it was so silly hes so tall and lanky on top of him i tried not to giggle.

- oh i forgot to mention they changed the ace and twobit choreo during the drive in obviously because daryl cant lift someone way taller than him like that.

- during jft bev had her head on brills shoulder while he just held her.

- martrip wouldnt let go of each other and when marcia had to to comfort cherry, she gently plucked him off.

- melvin HELP melvin ran a little to keep up with sergei when they walked out in trouble.

- trip went over and massaged melvins shoulders. i wish they kept it how it used to be with sean jones where he points to ace, but i guess it made sense for this show (idk if they always do this) cuz aint no way in HELL trip would point to the boy whos 103748291 feet taller than melvin

- WATCHING MELVIN FIGHT JORDAN ACE WAS SO FUCKING FUNNY DTTM.

- either bob or trip (pretty sure it was bob cuz the socs were saying bob) like was practically in the audience. and their voices were so heartbreaking as they pulled him in it was a direct parallel of pony pulling johnny.

- oh goodness me pony’s voice when johnny went silent broke me. dont even. stroblboy is a amazing im sorry for ever doubting you

- ARAMIE IS THE DALLAS. he is my dallas i preferred him sooo much over josh boones dallas.

- he plays dallas much younger and looks younger like he was shorter than darry and all.

- his mic was messed up for the beginning of little brother but he still sounded phenomenal.

- genuinely his dallas portrayal is heartbreaking and he sounds so beautiful oh my goodness.

- during little brother i love watching the socs and greasers at the bottom and oh goodness cherry moved with like such pain you didn’t need to see her face to know it. i like to imagine the closer they are to the front is the more guilty they felt for johnny’s death so cherry being in the front had me drop a tear bruh.

- hoods turned hero the projection was lowkey cut off cuz COLE. IS TOO SHORT AND SO IS MELVIN BRUH. stupid dipp brothers.

- hopeless war had a few added riffs i believe. emma pittman is so amazing

- okay so during the scene where cherry gives pony johnny’s clothes, when she first entered here’s what i noticed. last time i saw it, sodapop was so much more hesitant to let her in, he was like “no you can’t—“ and walked over but this time he was so much more wrecked. like he and darrel both just replied with a soft “hi.” when she left his eyes followed her the entire time.

- darry’s voice when he said “we love you.” had me in SHAMBLES.

- when ponyboy saw johnny in the rumble oh sweet neptune.

- trip is directly in front during the rumble he looked so angry and so did melvin. when they do the last punches when they face the audience, melvin like threw gravel and shouted “COME ON” or something like that. proving my point about him and fighting.

- HELP ME THE PPL KEPT GETTING YELLED AT TS SO FUNNY

- uh the ending number bob was so nonchalant leaning against the wood plank smh.

Mentioned in a Post a while back about a Jttw/LMK AU I had regarding the "Yellow Robed Demon" Arc when Tripitaka got turned into a tiger.

Book Summary;

Tripitaka manages to escape his capture (for once) and passes on a message to the King of Baoxiang from his daughter, Baihuaxiu, explaining that she was kidnapped and made the forced bride of a demon (ironically making it a magical version of what befell Tripitaka's mother when he was a baby).

Kui Mulang rolls in with a human glamour and goes: "Nu-Uh! I'm but a humble human hunter. THIS guy is a tiger demon who attacked a girl some time ago. I save her and we've been living a simple life for the last 13 years!" (Lie)

So the dude pulls an Uno-Reverse and transforms Tripitaka into a tiger (or in some versions, glamours him into one). The King and his subjects believe this 100% since Tripitaka and the Pilgrims don't look so great without Wukong there to act as PR (he was exiled at the time for the White Bone Spirit incident).

Tripitaka is apparently aching-beautiful no matter his form though;

Wukong even feels kinda bad for his Master, since the transformation is so good that he can't even see through it with Gold Vision. Also imagine a sad giant kitty, that would bum anyone out.

Of course things are resolved by the end of the arc; the gang reunite with their monkey, Ao Lie gets his own badass chapter, the Princess is saved, Bajie kills the couple's two half-demon wolf children, the Yellow Robed Demon is revealed to be Revatī - the Wood Wolf of Legs after Wukong catches the demon commenting on his performance during the Havoc (Wukong has a few Columbo moments in the book like this), and Tripitaka is transformed back into his squishy monk self.

Bonus - Tripitaka as a tiger from a book illustration + the 1999 cartoon.

The book illustration + description suggests he's a rare Pseudo-melanistic "Black Tiger" seen in India, possibly an Indo-Chinese Tiger, or a South China Tiger with a darker back.

So here's where the timeline shifts...

The Wood Wolf of Legs ain't happy to be dragged away from (what he believed to be mutual) his true love on earth + his two kids, so he curses the Tang Monk to not only retain part of the glamour he imposed upon him, but to transform him fully into a carnivorous feline demon. Also as an extra "F-k you!" to the Jade Court he and his past love fled from, since the Queen Mother is a celestial tigress herself.

The Pilgrims freak out, obviously.

Guanyin is called up and is like;

Guanyin: "Well, you did unjustly punish and exile your best bodyguard because you didn't trust his judgement, seeing him only as a murderous beast... so *your* punishment is to deal with the rest of your Journey as one of the very same creatures you see as mindlessly bloodthirsty." Tripitaka, now cursed to stay a catboy: "Dang it." (≽^╥⩊╥^≼)

He still gets to wear the robes and walk upright -think Master Tigress from Kung Fu Panda but as a wimpy, twink-shaped, monk.

Tripitaka aint' having fun. He's a life-long vegetarian who's suddenly an apex hypercarnivore. He tries his best for the longest time to stay on the veggies (and durian weirdly enough since tigers like those), but eventually he will need to chow down on some bleeding protein.

And his team literally consists of the main diet of a tiger...

Wukong, a monkey: "Master isn't looking too good." Zhu Bajie, a pig: "I don't like the way he's been looking at us. I burnt my finger making the campfire and he looked ready to pounce!" Sha Wujing, a fish: "I'm not surprised. Cats are of few beasts that absolutely require meat protein to survive." Ao Lie, currently a horse: "If he goes feral, I vote we sacrifice the pig first." Wujing & Wukong: "Agreed." Zhu Bajie: "HEY!!" (₍•̀ ⚇•́ ₎) Tripitaka, meditating hard: "Perhaps if I eat a watermelon, it would sustain my desire for flesh?"

What worse?

Tripitaka is still considered smoking hot. Now by demon standards too!

The Trio of Lion Camel Ridge prepare to attack the Pilgrims when;

It didn't take long to reach the shop and you parked the car and walked inside.

You put your card against the device, but it lets out a noise. You cashier looks at you, " i am sorry but it declined. Do you have different card."

You look confused at your card as you tey again, " let me call my boyfriend real quick." You say as you grab your phone, but to your suprise it is empty. You let out a sigh, " just, cancel my order. Sorry, for the inconvience." You walk away emberrased, bot wanting to be here any longer.

You ran to your car, tripping over a lose stone. As you see the car, the mirror is demaged and tears statted to form in your eyes. It couldn't get any worse. You start the engine and drive of.

As you come back home, you ran to the bathroom and slide against the wall, more tears coming down your face.

You didn't hear the door opening, signaling Charles is back from his run. He called your name but didn't get an answer. He walked upstairs to look for you, begore hearing your cries.

"Hey, what happened? Are you okay?" Charles asked worried as he knelt down next to you, taking you in his arms. Your cheeks were stained with mascara and your eyes were puffy.

You cried on his shoulder, not wanting Charles to see you, as his hand went carefully through your hair, trying to calm you down.

"Why do you like me?" you snick out. Charles looks confused at your question. He grabs your face and looks at you, "what do you mean. Why do I like you?"

He traces his fingers under your eyes to wipe the tears away, "Why do you like me. All those other girls are so pretty and productive, and I am just me." You explain with your hands.

Charles heart aches at your thoughts of not being good enough, he hates that people intertwine with his personal life. He had seen the tweets and comments about you not being to same as his ex's but he didn't know that you believed those.

"You are not 'just' you, you are you and that is perfect. I couldn't ask for anything more, mon Cherie. You are perfect as you are and don´ t need to change a thing. Those people need to learn and shut their mouths if they don't like it." Charles started to explain. He wanted to show you how much he loves you, but right now wasn't the time for that. He took you back in his arms, placing a kiss on your head

"Please, believe me. I wouldn't want you to change, there is a reason that I fell in love with you, because of who you are. Not who I want you to be."

look 🙏 i do see the possible appeal in that i aint gunna lie one bit and as the creator of these characters the idea of being able to seemingly talk to them sounds pretty cool! BUT i simply cant jump on the AI train to Any extent it just wouldn't sit right with me. I feel like it would unnerve me after a while plus the idea of my OCs being 'off' or having out of character dialogue that's out of my control kinda gives me the willies. It seems like one of those things that are simply too good to be true in a practical sense so any possibility of it happening just goes into uncanny valley like do i wish i could take my ocs out of my brain and talk to them HELL yes ( if i dont get killed first) but that should be an impossible thing to do unless im dreaming or hallucinating or some shit. It's like the AI images ie. i Could just type in a bunch of prompts and shit out like 30000 images of my ocs so that i could look at them but where would the yearning be after that??? The loving sculpting of them in my brain while im trying to capture their essence with my hands into a drawing??? One of the main reasons for my ocs to exist is so that its something for my brain to toy around with and wallow in like a cat in catnip, so the idea of being able to just 'lay everything out' so easily just ruins the whole ' i have mysterious little dudes in my head that i mold around everyday to try and figure them out' aspect if that makes any sense??? in celebration of the finale: my top 5 moments from each only friends character so far

first up is: top

5. "ill get the drinks then"

he saw a tense moment between ray, implied alcoholic and tormented friend, and the rest of the friendgroup and responded with massive "well i aint touching that" energy. incredible, in addition he is able to undermine ray infront of mew within 3 minutes of deciding to pursue him (i personally believe ray and top either have history, they pickup ppl at the same bar, or their first interaction where ray physically throws himself between mew and top is a sore point)

4. sopping wet cat energy

just, the pout the failing rizz, the fact his name is top and hes dressed as top gun with the whole elaborate costume and everything and no one has said anything about it, incredible.

3. being caught between a homoerotic battle of wits between his two most beloved exes

10/10 top facial expressions happening in this scene, he is the force that brought these to people together and yet he is thirdwheeling at what was probably his own date. just complete "someone kill me now energy" from our resident sad wet cat of a hunk. incredible

2. insomnia backstory

rip to top but i found this such an interesting detail, not in a "characters are only interesting when theyre traumatized way" but the implication that the top tier, while certainly enjoying one night stands, also just can't bear falling asleep alone was fascinating. especially because it came out in the episodes we see him (at least as i interpereted it) struggling to say no to bostons advances, it was just, an interesting addition to his character but also allowed us to see him decide to open up to mew, which leads to the devastation of mew burning his drawings infront of him instead of just throwing them out. also its what leads boeing to come back into everyones lives which was a win for messy gay character enjoyers everywhere

1. getting held down on the bed by mew

i think he needs to get pinned down by mew more tbh i think this could really fix him. don't think i didn't also notice him being excited about the "you're about to lose one of your senses" dinner date too. i just think being able to surrender control in an intimate moment with someone he trusts would do wonders for his psyche, that and a ball gag.

anyway ive loved getting to know these characters. thought it would be a fun salute to do this countdown.
