So it occurred to me while working on my new teen wolf writing project that Stiles's dad is absolutely drowning in medical debt so probably can't afford to give Stiles much of an allowance, if any, and Stiles never mentions or goes to a part-time job, and yet he can afford a completely unexpected $1500 mechanic's bill when Erica breaks his Jeep, and buys an insane amount of stuff for Lydia's birthday, and even though he'd been planning to return most of it, he's sixteen at that point, he definitely doesn't have a credit card and probably doesn't have an overdraught, so he had to have had that money on hand, so I'm trying to figure out where his money comes from.

so far my possibilities are:

- its ad money from his youtube channel where he uploads deliberately shitty and out of focus footage of 'real werewolf sightings'

- it's sponsorship money from his podcast where he just talks completely truthfully about his life and half his audience think it's an ARG and the other half are just there to see if he'll ever actually admit this is all fiction

- he has a twitch channel where he streams exclusively games about werewolves

- all the 2012 sterek fics are correct and he's selling pictures of his neck to horny werewolves online

- turned his life into successful a pen and paper rpg and it's sourcebook money

- secret MLM double life. his facebook account name is karen and he's a double black diamond and he would love to talk to you about what herbalife can do for you

- he got in at the start of bitcoin before we knew it was an elaborate ponzi scheme and managed to actually cash out

- makes 8bit chiptune covers of britney songs on bandcamp

- just an insane amount of paid surveys. so many surveys

so someone on the buffy wiki asked a question that i have basically been thinking about non-stop since i saw it

how would btvs be different if spike had died when he was originally planned to, during the church collapse in season 2

and there's a lot of interesting logistical questions (honestly the answer is not much, he very rarely actually contributes to the main plot, probably because most of the writers room hated using him) like how would s7 end (you just create a different arbitrary mcguffin), would the buffybot still exist (probably yes, you just make her a warren or a jonathan thing and remove spike from the equation), what would buffy's s6 unhealthy coping mechanism be (my instinct is to say a buffy/xander subplot, which would be objectively worse but would hit basically all the same narrative beats, and would also make the xander/anya breakup feel a bit less weird)

but that isn't the reason i've been obsessing over this

the reason i've been obsessing over this is that if spike dies in that church, drusilla should logically become a recurring villain, probably hitting a lot of the same broad plot beats as spike did

and now i can't stop thinking about a version of buffy where dru gets actual character developement, where they have to think of cool shit to do with her future-seeing powers (being completely incidental to the plot is a very weird quality for clairvoyent powers to have tbh but they never once make effective use of them in the show)

and i also realised that in a version of season 6 where dru is a main cast member, or at least a recurring guest star, the obvious choice would be for her to mentor willow

willow never gets any kind of magic teacher in any way that matters, and she never gets to talk to another canon-queer person apart from tara, and giving willow a mentor figure who is magic and queer and probably pretty supportive, but also is absolutely 100% trying to make willow worse would be so interesting! and maybe it would force the writers to remember that giles knows magic, and you could have a 'which will willow choose' dynamic going on between this proudly bi proudly magic vampire and the closetted deeply afraid of his own magic human and it could be so interesting! like i fucking love spike and giles's canon relationship, but it never goes anywhere and this would absolutely have to go somewhere

also there would obviously be a subplot, probably in season 4, about dru manipulating events to bring spike back from the dead, but he'd come back as human, and the scoobies would want to protect him from her both because he's human and because spike died before they realised he's not actually a threat so they think vampire spike is a big deal, so he'd be a main cast member and build relationships with them all, and you've got human spike and vampire dru kind of circling one another and flirting but also being freaked out by one another, and however you chose to end the subplot it would be the kind of compelling tragedy that all the best spike stories are. if he choses to become a vampire then you're functionally killing the relationships he would have built with the scoobies by that point, and if he chooses to stay human, you're breaking dru's heart, and basically every other variation i can think of is also tragic, and i love basically all of them

and dru would fucking hate glory, even if you never did the chip subplot in s4 and didn't use human spike to bring her into the group, you could absolutely fold her into the gang in s5 using 'the enemy of my enemy' as the justification

there are so many little problems with buffy that you could fix using dru as a recurring character - the watcher's council functionally only exist when needed, they have no real presence, but they're canonically fascinated with dru and want to experiment on her so they'd have a reason to have a recurring presence in the show that isn't directly related to buffy. vampires have no culture and the one time they were given a religion the writers were too scared to explore it in any depth, but dru is possitioned to interact with the cult of aurelius in a way spike never was, so they might be forced to actually think about the fact that vampires ought to have a unique culture and religious perspective and general outlook on the world. the concept of bisexuality might have to exist. everything with how angel interacts with the gang post s2 would be so much more interesting, and there'd be a reason to bring darla back and give her some character developement. mental health! they'd have to talk about mental health prior to season 6!

i'm not going to write this fic, because it would be so fucking long, but please join me in imagining the au that could have been if buffy comics weren't all terrible, or i had infinite time for writing fic

How do you think the Yautja would react to their human s/o after learning of Yautja's how much they hate the cold, and their human s/o goes the extra mile to get them to be comfy during the Winter that they bought extra Big fluffy blanks, and a few REALLY BIG sweaters from them while they stay in earth

Since they are in similar veins, you might also like this ask that I did.

The Yautja come from a planet with two suns that is mostly desert. Snow and cold isn’t something they are accustomed to unless they are traveled and seasoned hunters.

Long story short, they are not built for the winter. While they can still survive the harsh cold much better than humans, they would prefer not to.

Make no mistake, a huge part of them is touched you went out of your way to make sure they’d be comfortable and cozy during their winter visits.

Another part of them, however, is worried that you see their aversion to the cold as weakness.

Yautja hunters aren’t used to receiving gifts from their SO’s. They’re used to presenting them as proof of their prowess.

Basically, many yautja are quite bad at receiving gifts without some confusion.

They’re going to be getting a lot of mileage out of those warm clothes as they drag you outside for various “winter activities” to prove themselves to you.

Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about them getting sick. Their immune systems are nearly impenetrable.

By the time you manage to drag them back inside you’re both going to be cold and wet and ready for those blankets.

You might have to give a lecture about how they need to stop feeling like they need to earn the gifts you give them. Just know they are appreciative; even if they have trouble expressing it.

Of course, smol and tall together at last.

They’re going to point it out. A lot. Sometimes they’ll affectionately refer to you as a paperweight.

Or puppy. Puppy is also quite common.

They have you sit on their back during pushups.

You’re going to get picked up often. And not always for cute reasons.

See, you are outside their “sight zone”. Anything below their chest is practically a blind spot. Their eyes are a lot more inset than ours.

They really don’t mean to. But the amount of times you’ve been tripped over, elbowed in the face, or just straight up run over is ridiculous.

They are very apologetic.

Kissing requires a bit of awkward bending down and stretching but kissing a yautja is awkward anyway.

Given your height, head pats are extremely commonplace.

So long as you enjoy being carried around and jokes about your height don’t bother you, you shouldn’t have a problem.

They pick you up with ease and, for good measure, lift you above their head and spin. They laugh as you scream to be put down.

Once you’re back on the ground and your head has stopped spinning, you gently explain that you’ve injured some of your exes who’ve tried to pick you up. It was just a force of habit.

Your mate scoffs and loudly declares your former mates as weak.

They hoist you up again, wrapping your thighs around their waist with a purr. They insist to pick you up far more often now.

They’ll likely encourage you sit on their back when they do push-ups or ride their back when they go running.

Hell you two went on a forest walk and had to cross a stretch of water that was two inches deep at most. They insisted you ride on their shoulders. No they were not kidding.

You rode their shoulders after some bickering.

So I just read loveless for the first time and just WOW ! I’ve never related to a main character more!!!! It’s true that Georgia is more of an introvert but just everything in this book kinda encapsulates the feels of being aro ace!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO LITERALLY EVERYONE!! Stories and first hand accounts are a great way to learn and to experience emotions and thoughts that may help you understand others emotions! (If you can’t buy the book I suggest either you local library to pick up a hard copy or looking up loveless free pdf on a search engine!!!)

In honor of fully reading the books below are quotes that I very much vibe with or are just general feelings/experiences that I have felt or my friends have felt. Warning there is explicit language. Think you’re too heavy for him to pick up or to sit in his lap? Haha! He is the fucking bear jew, he is definitely strong enough to pick his girl up and would love to prove that to you any chance he gets.

In fact that's one of the things he likes about his strength is how well you fit into his arms and how easily he can make you feel safe and pick you up.

Donny is a boobs man and my busty plus size gals he would love to lay his head on your chest when you two fall asleep.

If you want to lose weight he would totally be there to workout with you and pump you up too.

Some nights the two of you will dance in the living room. Not for any real occasion, just if a soft song comes on the radio, Donny will pull you up off the couch and pull you against him until the song is over.

Surprisingly, Donny is actually so gentle with you. Especially in the bedroom. He knows that he sometimes forgets his own strength and his worst fear is hurting you so he tries to keep his touches gentle just in case.

He calls you his princess a lot in that deep voice and Boston accent and just wow it makes me melt to think about.

I could definitely see Donny being the type to bring you flowers all of the time, just because they were pretty and reminded him of you and because he knows you’re going to light up when you see them.

He can’t sleep unless he’s flat on his back so when you two spend the night together he is always pulling you on top of his chest to sleep and keeping his arms wrapped around your waist.

He is also a heavy sleeper and will not let you go until morning so if you need to get up you have to seriously find a way to maneuver yourself out of his grip.

Also I just fully believe that this man snores in his sleep but he will deny this fact for life.

He wants to think he’s not the jealous type but holy cow is he the jealous type?! More like possessive really.

Never with the other basterds really because he trusts them and knows they would never even think of trying something with you. But other men however…

Other men have to have a death wish or something to try something with the Bear Jew’s girl.

Like he knows you can take care of yourself and everything but he it still bothers him to the point where he thought you were even a little uncomfortable with the way some guy was being towards you he is there and ready to scare the guy off.

He’s a smart enough guy and all but he isn't great with emotions. Like when you're upset he goes into panic mode and isn’t sure what to do to make it better.

If you tell him what you need when you’re upset he will try his best but otherwise he just panics and is trying whatever he can to cheer you up.

If you are sick he would go full on mother hen. Like his mother was always codeling him when he was sick so that's just how he responds. Plus like I said, he goes into panic mode when somethings wrong with you.

Do I even need to say that Donny’s favorite dates involve going to Fenway Park with you? The Red Socks, his girl, a beautiful day, some cracker jacks? What more could he ever ask for?

If you don't know how to play baseball he would love to teach you!

Seriously imagine him standing all close to you and trying to show you how to hold the bat right and swing.

He might give you your own bat to keep at home for when you're alone, instructing you to swing first and ask questions later.

If you ever REALLY want to get him riled up there are two ways to go about this. Flirting with someone or bad mouthing the Red Sox

He is a huge flirt. It does not matter how long the two of you are together he will flirt with you/hit on you every chance he gets.

Donny would probably move pretty fast in your relationship too. Like he knows he wants to marry you after a couple of months kind of fast.

He carries around that damn ring in his pocket for almost a month trying to get the nerve to actually ask you too.

He loves when you come visit him at the barber shop during the day.

Like sometimes he forgets his lunch on purpose so you'll bring it to him and he has an excuse to see you during the middle of the day.

His father and the other guys in the barber shop would probably make fun of him for it too.

Donny definitely has a physical size kink. Like he loves if you're smaller than him, especially like how he can pick you up easily and how small your hands are in comparison to his.

Being in a Relationship with Michael Corleone Would Include...

A/N: Michael Corleone is one of the sexiest men ever to grace the silver screen and I will not be taking criticism on this. If you have any Michael request please send them in because I have so many things I want to write for this man.

When you met Michael it was long before he ended up becoming the Don. Either while he was in college or right after he got out of the marines.

It was when he allowed himself to show more of his sweet side and that is partly what drew you to him was his kindness and those big dark eyes.

Even after he becomes Don Corleone though he will always have a big soft spot for you.

You get to see the sweet, kind natured side of this big scary mobster and you know his heart better than anyone else ever could (the good and the bad of it).

In public he will never be very affectionate with you.

He’s not ashamed of you by any means, quite the opposite actually, he’s proud to have you on his arm, but he thinks showing affection is a weakness so it’s something he likes to reserve for when the two of you are alone.

Then he can barely keep his hands off of you.

At home when he likes to have you sitting on his lap, his arms wrapped around you, and you running your fingers through his hair (or vice versa) while he sorts through the million and one things he has on his mind at any one time.

He also has a habit of coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around you and kissing your neck when you’re the one focused on something around the house like when he gets home and you’re fixing dinner, he will silently come wrap his arms around you and kiss your neck in greeting and stay there talking to you while you finish what you’re doing.

Loyalty is everything to him. He will stay loyal to you no matter what and he expects the same thing from you.

He will never even think of looking at another woman as long as he has you waiting for him at home. He doesn’t see how any of them could compare to you anyway.

Michael is a bit...old fashioned in his views on your relationship.

When you get married he’s going to expect you to stay home and focus on being a housewife.

Sorry but that’s just how Michael is. There really is very little changing his mind on this.

Speaking of which, Michael is incredibly stubborn on pretty much everything. You will HAVE to put your foot down on somethings because otherwise Michael will never budge when he makes up his mind on something.

Tom has had to play referee between the two of you more times than he would like to remember, trying to talk some sense into Michael for you and trying to explain things to you rather than just giving you a firm no like Michael does.

But when it comes to involving you with the business Michael will never budge. He wants you to stay as far away from his business as possible.

He may seem unreasonable to you sometimes on this, especially since his business can very easily impact your life together and your marriage but he will still almost always try to avoid talking to you about his work and keep you as far away from his business dealings as possible.

His worst fear in the world is something bad happening to you and it eats at him how much danger his business could potentially put you in.

If anyone from his world were to ever threaten you or your family with Michael, Michael would be losing it inside no matter how stoic he remained on the outside.

That person would be dealt with very quickly and finally. Michael won’t tolerate any threats against his family and he is ruthless when it comes to your safety.

You have to be willing to let a lot of things go unquestioned with Michael. There are many things he wishes he could tell you but never will because he knows it's in everyone’s best interest if you don’t know.

Arguments with Michael can be frightening mostly because of just how calm and quiet he is during them even though you can see how tense he is.

He will usually just shut down and walk away when you try to fight with him. He hates fighting with you and it upsets him enough that he has to walk away before he loses his temper with you.

Most of the time though, Michael would be so sweet with you, even though he isn’t very publicly affectionate he is always very intended to your needs.

He’s always ready to sweep you aside if he thinks you’re uncomfortable in a situation or are feeling anxious, if you’re having a bad day he can immediately pick up on it and will be trying to get you to relax, etc.

It doesn’t matter what else is going on in the room, Michael always has one eye fixed on you at all times, making sure you’re okay.

You try not to stress Michael out too much when you’re having a problem or are just feeling kind of down but Michael knows about this and hates it.

He wants you to feel like you can tell him anything and feels guilty that you don’t want to tell him when you’re struggling because you don’t want him to worry about you.

Michael always is going to worry about you.

Michael will always have your back, he is never going to let anyone talk bad about you in his presence. Ever. And God help the poor bastard who would ever actually try to hurt you because they would be meeting God very soon.

You’re going to end up spending lots of time alone while he’s busy with work but he tries to make it home for dinner with you whenever he can.

Michael usually doesn’t come to bed until late either and is an early riser so he is usually coming to bed after you and leaving before you but sometimes you’ll wake up to him climbing into bed next to you and pulling you against him, pressing his lips softly against your forehead and telling you to go back to sleep.

You’re going to have to spend lots of time with his family and become very close to them.

They accept you with open arms though after you marry Michael and become a Corleone. They all can see how happy you make Michael and they are happy to invite you into their family and have you as one of them.

Connie especially would be so happy to have a sister finally. She is much closer to you than she was to Sonny’s wife and she loves having you around for gossiping and shopping.

If you didn’t know Italian before you’re going to want to learn and there are certainly plenty of people around to help you learn.

The first time you told Michael “ti amo” he just grins and kisses you, so proud of you for learning and touched that you made it a point to learn more about his culture.

He wants to have a family with you right away after you get married.

Family is important to him and he loves the idea of having children with you.

He may or may not have a breeding kink but that is a topic for another day.

Slow dancing.

Slow dancing in the living room or in Michael’s office together at night after a long day.

When he is really stressed out he likes when you sit in his lap and put your head on top of his and smooth his hair. His whole body relaxes then and it helps him feel a little better and safer to be sitting there with you, wrapped in your arms.

He tries really hard to do something romantic with you when he gets an opportunity even though they are few and far between.

As important as his business is to him, Michael will always try his best to make you understand that you and your family together is always his first priority in life.

Close Call//Michael Corleone x Reader

A/N: Michael’s wife is the target of an attempted hit.

Michael stood in front of the couch where you sat, his arms crossed across his chest as he watched you. His gaze was cold and unflinching as he looked down at you. His eyes went from the bruises on your face, to your shaking hands as they wrapped around the glass of wine Tom handed you to settle your nerves, then back to your face. He said nothing as he slipped a cigarette out of his pocket and took out his lighter, taking the first drag without his eyes ever leaving yours as if you were going to disappear if he looked away.

Tom looked at Michael from where he sat next to you and shook his head. He’d known Michael long enough to know when his friend and boss was barely holding it together.

“We’re fairly certain we know who was behind this already, but I already have people looking into it just to be sure.” Tom spoke carefully, his hand laid comfortingly on your back.

Michael shook his head, “I want to know tonight, Tom.” He spoke in a deathly calm voice, pulling his eyes off of you just long enough to narrow his eyes at Tom.

Tom held back a sigh, “You’ll be the first one to know anything, Michael.”

Michael took another hit of his cigarette and started pacing again.

Tom watched him carefully, his worry for his friend evident even as he turned his attention back to you.

“Y/N, did you see anything this morning? Anything out of the ordinary? Anyone you didn’t recognize hanging around outside?” He asked you in a soft voice.

You shook your head, taking a sip of your wine with shaking hands. You were sure Tom could feel you shaking against his hand but you couldn’t find it in yourself to be embarrassed. The sound of gunfire was still ringing in your ears.

“No. No, I was almost to the car when I saw a car coming down the street. Next thing I know they’re shooting. I just jumped behind the car, I didn’t get a good look at any of them.” You touched your bruised cheek gingerly. “I guess I hit the ground pretty quick.”

Tom nodded thoughtfully.

Michael closed his eyes. He could still see your bullet riddled car every time he did. He swallowed back the lump in his throat harshly.

“I don’t believe that they were really trying to kill you.”

Michael’s head whipped around to look at Tom, his normally slick and styled hair beginning to fall in his face messily.

You too looked at Tom curiously. “Then what else would you call it, Tom?”

“If this was who I think it was, if they really wanted you dead, you’d be dead right now.”

“Tom…” Michael growled warningly.

Tom glanced at Michael but didn’t back down. “This was a message, Michael. A warning. We both know that.”

“It was received!” Michael shouted back, fire in his eyes as he glared at Tom.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw you flinch. “I want you to set up a meeting for tomorrow. Whoever did this is going to answer to me, Tom.”

Tom nodded. He looked back over at you like he might say something but changing his mind. He squeezed your shoulder gently as he climbed to his feet.

“I’ll take care of it.”

Tom walked over to Michael, whispering in his friend’s ear something you couldn’t hear but Michael nodded. You downed the last of your wine as Tom let himself out, the click of the door closing echoing in the room. Neither you nor Michael said anything as he sat down on the couch beside you, your legs not quite touching. You watched Michael out of the corner of your eye as he pulled out another cigarette but didn’t light it, rolling it between his fingers.

“Y/N, you know I��m-” Michael started then stopped, losing his words. “I’m sorry.” He finally sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, his eyes closed tight.

Your heart clenched, it wasn’t often Michael showed emotion like this, even to you. You placed your hand on his back hesitantly, rubbing small circles around his back gently.

“It’s not your fault, Michael.”

“Of course it is!” He straightened up suddenly.

You tried to draw your hand back at the bite in his voice but his hand grabbed yours before you could pull it into yourself. Gently he squeezed your hand in his.

“When we got married,” He started, running his thumb over your wedding band and feeling the smooth, cold metal against his skin. “I promised you that I would keep you safe. And when you called me today, all I could think about was-”

“Apollonia?” You asked softly, already knowing the answer.

Michael swallowed around the lump in his throat. “You could have been killed today too. And it would have been because of me and because of who I am. I can’t lose you too.”

“You won’t. You heard Tom, it was just a warning.” You tried to assure as if it wasn’t any big deal that strangers started shooting at you.

Michael shook his head, turning his head to smile at you with a strained smile. “You’re right. I won’t.”

You paused, not sure what to say. Instead you leaned forward and pressed your lips against his. Michael kissed you back gently, his hands cupping your face as his kisses became more and more passionate. You winced as his fingers brushed the bruise on your cheek. Michael pulled back from you, his dark eyes wide.

“I’m fine.” You shook your head. “Just a little sore.”

Michael sighed, tracing his fingers over your bruise. He tilted his head to press his lips against the mark so gently you almost couldn’t feel it.

“Lets go to bed.” He said as he climbed to his feet, offering you his hand and led you up the stairs to his bed.

Dating Cliff Booth Would Include...

A/N: I will never get over how hot Brad Pitt is in this movie at 54.

Imagine calling him pretty boy just to tease him.

He blushes most of the time when you say it which just encourages you to say it more.

He loves you, he does, but he will definitely leave your bed in the middle of the night to go get Rick whenever Rick calls him needing something.

Rick and you would probably end up friends though considering how much time you spend together.

Plus he’s so good to Cliff (and to you too once he gets to know you) that how could you ever not like him?

Cliff will constantly joke that Brandy likes you more than him most of the time even though everyone knows that dog is practically his baby.

Whenever he has to go out of town with Rick for a job or keep an eye on Rick for a few nights you end up taking care of Brandy.

Not that you mind because ofc you fall in love with how sweet that dog is.

Anytime you need anything done around your place Cliff will automatically volunteer to take care of it for you.

You need your car’s oil changed? He’s got you covered. Got a stuck door lock? No problem. Been wanting to paint your bedroom? He’s glad to help.

Cliff Booth’s love language is acts of service and you can’t change my mind on that.

This man is like the human embodiment of top energy. Do with that what you will.

He is usually really gentle with you though (unless you ask him not to be).

He is an amazing kisser. Like grabs your face in both hands and really kisses you type of thing. 1000/10 recommend.

Don’t expect sweet nothings. Cliff is a man of few words and doesn’t usually voice his feelings but he still finds ways to let you know how he feels.

He opens up more with you than most other people though.

You guys would have so many inside jokes between the two of you because of this.

He likes to hold your hand while driving with the other.

Cliff is the ultimate hype man! He is always there and ready to pump you up when you need it.

He always gives you calm supporting vibes as if he just knows when things are going to work out fine and it is honestly so helpful when you’re nervous about something.

I picture lots of hang out type date nights where the two of you just kind of watch some TV, play with Brandy, and smoke weed together.

He always swears he is never going to get married again and he 100% means that too.

He is fine with living with you and he doesn’t want to be with anybody else but his first marriage was such a disaster that he has sworn off marriage all together.

Part of him is really nervous that you’ll leave him after you hear the rumors about his ex-wife.

And of course when word gets around that you’re dating Cliff people are practically lining up to “warn you” about him and tell you all about what happened to his ex-wife.

You don’t believe it for a second though and adamantly defend him whenever anyone brings it up.

He may or may not have realized he was in love with you the first time he heard you defending him to some random person who tried to say something bad about him.

He’s not used to people really caring enough about him to do that and it meant a lot to him.

Speaking of defending each other…

Cliff is incredibly protective over you. Like someone can look at you wrong and Cliff is ready to throw hands.

If you work in Hollywood, especially as an actress, he is even more protective of you because he’s always afraid some sleazy producer or someone is going to try to mess with you or put you down.

He secretly kind of loves it when you fawn over him after he does a few stunts, always worried that he’s going to get hurt.

Dating Charlie Swan Would Include...

A/N: You know you’re adult now when you are no longer team Edward or team Jacob but hate them both and are team Charlie.

Charlie Swan is a simple man but that is not a bad thing at all.

Dates with Charlie would typically involve things like having dinner at the diner, watching tv/whatever game was on that night on the couch, and maybe maybe driving into Port Angeles sometimes for dinner and a movie.

He never invites you to go fishing with him though. He needs that peace and quiet for himself.

As long as he’s got you and Bella, his job, and his sports, he’s happy.

Bella would be pretty skeptical at first of you, especially if you’re a lot younger than Charlie is, but she warms up to you pretty quickly when she sees how happy you make her dad.

It’s comforting for her to know that once she becomes a vampire Charlie will have someone to take care of him still.

Charlie would probably ask your advice on girl stuff when it comes to Bella too. Like he really is trying but he doesn’t really know how to interact with a teenage girl sometimes so he just wants your advice.

Charlie is a very go with the flow kind of guy usually but anytime he even has to hear someone talk about Edward Cullen he will end up spending the next twenty minutes complaining about that cullen kid to you and how he doesn’t trust him.

He buys you pepper spray and puts it on your keychain for you. Just in case.

Charlie isn’t one for big romantic gestures or whispering sweet nothings or anything but he does show he cares in small gestures that almost mean much more than any big gesture.

He warms your car up and scraps the ice off your windows on cold mornings for you, he wakes you up with a cup of coffee every morning, he gets you your favorite snacks to keep at his house every time he goes to the grocery store (or you know puts it on the list for when Bella goes…).

I feel like he would also make you like an emergency kit to keep in your car with bottled water, granola bars, an extra coat, jumper cables, a flashlight, etc. just because he’s paranoid about you breaking down somewhere and him not being able to get to you.

He also brings you home flowers when he knows you’re having a rough week/it's your birthday/it’s your anniversary.

He still has some issues with relationships since his last serious relationship was Rene and he has been single for the better part of a decade following that so he is going to struggle with opening up sometimes but he’s worth the wait.

Whenever the two of you go anywhere together he has to drive but he will also steer with one hand and hold your hand with the other, singing along softly to the radio.

He would make so many dad jokes. Like for every situation he has a dad joke ready.

He loves when you steal his flannel shirts and wear them around the house and he can’t help but smile when you do.

Rei: Ah I see! Well, actually thinking about it, unless we’re talking theatre, I don’t know much about “The Ways of Hana” (laughs)

Hana: Today I want to convey all my feelings of thanks and gratitude to you! Umm... (looks at notes) Yuzuka-san you look...looked after me… ever since I was a junior student who kept making...mistakes. I want to say so many things but, sorry…

Rei: Its okay, take your time (laughs)

Do you think it's safe to say that the majority of people treat the last two seasons of VLD as non-canon? (Or depending on who you ask, anything after season two?)

I don't know if I'd say 'majority'. First off I feel like there were a lot of casual viewers who probably just dropped the series and never gave it any thought afterward (lucky them). And second I would like to add the disclaimer that this is my opinion only, I don't keep a tight grip on the pulse of the general VLD fandom and that I cultivate my dash very strongly so I really only hear a very small part of it that generally tends to ring the same notes I do myself. From what I've gathered though I would feel safe saying the majority of fans who were invested seem to have rejected the last season for sure. Personally? I use how fans feel about season seven to measure whether they're Shiro fans or not. Because the second to last season was - yes, okay, it was shit and illogical writing with a lot of 'boy are we wasting time or what with this episode' and a huge dose of 'why is no one acting IC?' as well as a very firm sprinkling of 'boy, the paladins really all do hate each other, don't they?' - but despite that there were some interesting and intriguing concepts in the second to last season. They were jarring and poorly introduced, they weren't explored or explained but the interesting concepts and hints that It Could Have Been More were all over that second half of season seven. In fact there's a really solid fan theory that season seven WAS written with different characters in parts that other ones ended up playing and when viewed that way, the second half of the season would have made a lot of sense and been a very satisfying story (which makes it that much more frustrating because the story was Right There and the EPs refused to take it). So season seven at least had potential.

Except.

Except for the way Shiro was treated right from the very beginning when he suddenly wasn't piloting Black and no explanation was ever given why - -and all the way through to the end of it where he either sat out fights his team needed him during, was rendered helpless by being handcuffed to his fucking belt, wasn't even drawn into group scenes, was taken out of commission despite the fact 'our paladin armor must have protected us' while he was wearing paladin armor, was left out of that horrible 'we all hate each other' 'game show' only Great Heroes were allowed to play (and frankly, we can all just be glad he wasn't included because - wow, that episode was baaaaad) all the way through to dying two more times, going into screaming torture two more times, not having any family OR friends show up (because the EPs said it would be 'boring'), losing the fight that should have been his resolution fight and otherwise being reduced to a helpless, useless, exposition spouting sudden expert on how Voltron works set-piece. He was given no resolution to any of his issues introduced in the first few seasons and handed a giant robot that wasn't even allowed to be useful because that would eclipse how super special Voltron was supposed to be. Oh, and he's got a boyfriend for rep points but the boyfriend dumped him because Shiro wouldn't give up his long term dream so that he could become a stay at home house husband instead and then, multiple years after the breakup in which he is never mentioned or even vagued about, he dies so Shiro can get a sad. Ah, yeah, and let's not forget that Shiro is also suddenly dying of some disease that was never mentioned before or after or even given a name or resolution for. And finally lets include the fact that at one point the writers literally had Keith actually stand there in front of Shiro and tell him to his face that the team (without him in it anymore) was stronger than ever. So - yeah.

Did I mention they cut off even more of his arm too and gave him an ugly hoverboard there instead?

Basically what I'm saying is that I think the majority of active fans are rightfully upset with season eight (which was a whole other shit show ball of 'we don't know what we're doing' writing) but probably pretty content with season seven or at least don't reject it outright. There were intriguing concepts in it, most of the other characters got to do interesting things in season seven, most of them got moments to shine, they were still the 'heroes' (oh boy at that can of worms) of the story. Lance took some hard hits in season seven and so did Allura - and poor Lotor fans. How dirty Lotor fans were done, though mostly that was season six's ending. Same with Jiro/Kuron fans - that main beef was season six's ending and the lack of acknowledgment during season seven. So absolutely there are a lot of fans out there that are upset with seasons seven (and six). But I suspect, from my limited experience only, that most general fans are probably okay with season seven. (The show was hemorrhaging viewers and fans by that point anyway at an alarming rate). I also suspect that a lot of those fans that got disgusted with seasons six and seven went over to the 'there's no canon after season two' boat and frankly, I tend to paddle along next to it from time to time myself (except I hate to lose Jiro and Sven and Slav).

tl;dr: I think the majority of Shiro fans would like to treat the last two seasons (or everything past season two) as non-canon. I suspect there are several other character's fan bases that feel the same way. But I suspect, and could be completely wrong, that the majority of general fans only reject season eight and are okay with season seven (beyond the regular hiccups of disliking certain parts but still accepting the canon as a whole).

So, I saw that post about Paladins gaining powers from their Lions, and all I can think about is how much of a little shit they'd be to each other. And I don't think Shiro would be exempt from the very occasional lighthearted use of their space magic. Imagine arguments over cleanup after meals. "Yes, everyone. Its a valid point that the last person to leave should clean up. But, uh -- (Ports away)." to the jeers and boos of the others. "Teleporting is hax! I call hax - Shiro!"

so I’m going to flag them over here to get their take on things because I’m sure they’ve got all kinds of wonderful headcanon to go with their headcanon about that. Personally for me? At the end of the day, the paladins, Shiro included, are only humans. And Shiro is the twenty five year old in charge of a bunch of parentless teenagers. There are going to be times its just - its too much to resist how easy having those powers are going to make certain things. Kind of the way if most of us were Jedi we’d generally just be using our Force powers to get things out of the fridge so we didn’t have to stand up and walk over to it. So as much as I am sure Shiro tries his best to not only be fair but also to carry the majority of the burden of just about anything the team is doing -

there is no way the man doesn’t just sometimes go ‘outta here’ and disappear like that one gif of the kid throwing the peace sign before he fades out. And I don’t think the kids can really hold it against him.

The fact that some people choose to criticize the book because Yadriel forgives his family in the end completely flies over my head.

Like... What else were you expecting?

You know, I stan Julian's decision to stay mad at Yads family because they were shitty to him. They got away too easily. They hurt Yadriel too much and they were forgiven too easily.

But what Yadriel did was what he should have done, character wise. If he hadn't done that then it'd have been so weird because Yadriel, more than anything, craves for acceptance from his family. He wants them to understand and acknowledge his identity. You think he'll stay mad at his dad and grandmother for constantly misgendering him after they've accepted him? Nope. Not at all. It's not who he is. It's not a part of his character.

Yadriel is not the sort of person who bears grudges. He is not the sort of person who'll turn away love after years of scorn.

I'm not saying that's necessarily a good thing. But his decision made sense.

TL;DR people should analyse a character more deeply before flying off into moral rants and shit. It's a novel. It's literature. The characters are not supposed to be perfect you dumbfucks.

Psycholonials was pretty good huh? I didn't even know it existed till it was already out but it was fucking GOOD. Also like, made me kinda weird emotionally for the rest of the day but such is life. Seen people talking about "oh it shoulda had content warnings for this thing n that thing!" And they're right but I've also never seen a game with good content warnings in my life. Also yet to see if this is actually a game beyond just being a visual novel, kinda assumed it would have interactive bits cuz steam but none came up. Seen people talking about other shit too but y'all really gonna do targeted harassment at Hussie over his game (visual novel I guess?) Wherein he talks about targeted harassment and being cancelled a bunch? Anyway yay for the she/they Asian MC, and her future bi girlfriend. They both need a goddamn hug and someone to help them so badly. I spent a lot of chapter 1 going "Huh mood" or "Wow she needs a fucking hug". Excited for Clowns! Excited for part 2 in general! She fucking murdered that cop! The weird dream sequence was like "oooh cool I think I see how this is gonna go" then she just fucking kills a cop right at the end! Holy shit! No idea where this is going and I'm excited to see it.

I’m gonna burn down Disney studios a friend brought up how they shoehorned in a gay character to the beauty and the beast remake and I remembered the fact that in the original film, the musical lyrics were written by Howard Ashman, whose music basically not only saved Disney animation but also created the sort of golden age of Disney movies, and who was a gay man who died of AIDS six months before the film’s release. Without his music, the movie would not have gotten off the ground, and the movie was even dedicated to his memory. And Disney had the AUDACITY in the remake to shoehorn in a barely-gay character. It feels like it like, disrespects his memory to do something like that. Ashman made that movie. I don’t think they could have picked a worse way to introduce a gay character into the film.

Anyway there’s a documentary about Howard Ashman’s life called Howard its on Disney plus watch that instead

This should have been written years ago. Parts of it were, and it languished in my drafts forever. I could never quite figure out exactly where I wanted to go with it. But I finally committed to polishing it up and getting it out there, because really, Klaine just needed to go see Darren in Hedwig. And I figured the anniversary of his opening night was a good time to post!

Set in Spring/Summer of 2015, Blaine is less than thrilled at being compared to the new lead actor in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Blaine looked down at the text message he’d just received from his brother, a quickly snapped photo of an advertisement for Hedwig and the Angry Inch, featuring an actor who looked quite a lot like Blaine.

Something you want to tell me about, Squirt?

Coop, you know that's not me.

It looks just like you...well if you were in drag.

Not happening. And not me.

He sighed and tossed his phone aside in annoyance.

“Something wrong?” Kurt asked.

“Just Cooper being Cooper,” he said.

“Ah. What now? Or do I not want to know?”

“It’s nothing really. Just pointing out my resemblance to the new guy in Hedwig. As if I hadn’t already heard that from everyone at school.”

“Your... ? Let me see,” Kurt said. Between school and the diner and Vogue.com, he’d been too busy to stay on top of all of the Broadway casting news lately.

Blaine handed over his phone and Kurt looked at the picture Cooper had sent, then at Blaine, then back at the picture. “Wow. He does look a lot like you. Not as handsome of course,” Kurt said diplomatically.

“You have to say that,” Blaine laughed. “You’re my husband.”

“That doesn’t make it any less true. And what’s this about ‘not happening’?” he asked, handing Blaine’s phone back to him. “What ever happened to ‘Guys can be divas too’? Tina sent me that video you know. You were hot. You could totally rock this look if you wanted to.”

“Which I don’t. Guys can be divas. But they don’t have to be in drag to do it. And I’m just so sick of being compared to this guy. It’s all anyone at school wants to talk about. Did you know he was also in How to Succeed in Business? Picture him with gelled hair in a bow tie.” Maybe he was being petulant, but how was he supposed to compete with someone who not only looked just like him, but also had Broadway credits to his name already?

Kurt let it drop and Blaine decided to write off Cooper’s text as just another attempt at brotherly ribbing. He didn’t think much more about it until an email showed up in his inbox with the subject line “Your e-tickets for Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” Blaine hadn't ordered the tickets, but his confusion cleared when he caught sight of another email from Cooper’s address: “Happy Birthday to Kurt.”

Hey Squirt,

Guessing you've received the e-tix by now. Do me a favor and wrap them up to give to Kurt for me? I never was any good at that sort of thing, but I couldn't let my new brother-in-law’s birthday go unnoticed. There's one for you too of course.

Just a little piece of fluff for Kurt & Blaine's first Father's Day... I had some thoughts for a couple of other scenes but haven't had a chance to get them down and didn't want to get too far away from the holiday before I posted. Perhaps I'll add to it, but for now have this.

Blaine creeps into their bedroom, baby in one arm and breakfast tray carefully balanced in the other. He sets Ella down on the bed where she quickly climbs onto Kurt, who stirs when he feels his daughter's tiny hands on his face. Blaine meanwhile has settled the tray down beside Kurt on the bed and stands looking at the two loves of his life as Kurt slowly wakes. “Papa!” Ella yells excitedly when he opens his eyes.

“Good morning, baby girl,” he says, kissing her hands and pretending to nibble on her fingers, making her laugh.

“If you’re hungry,” Blaine says, “Ella made you breakfast. You don’t have to eat our daughter.”

“Oh she did, did she? Ella made all of this all by herself?”

“Yep,” Blaine grins. “She’s a prodigy. I had to help her reach the cabinets to get out the ingredients for the pancakes but other than that…”

Kurt can’t help but smile. His husband is ridiculous but it’s entirely adorable that he got up early on their first Father’s Day so their not-quite-one year old could bring him breakfast in bed.

“I see,” Kurt says, snagging a piece of bacon from his plate. He surveys the tray where there is definitely far more food than he can or should eat by himself. “Is this all for me or are you two going to join me?”

Blaine climbs onto the bed beside him and pops a strawberry in his mouth. “I guess we could eat with you. What do you think Ella? Do you want some of the yummy pancakes you made for Papa?”

Ella claps her hands in delight, happy to be with both of her daddies. “‘akes!” she repeats and clambers over to sit in Blaine’s lap while they all eat breakfast in bed.

Blaine’s heart is full as he absorbs the moment. He loves his little family, and as much as he’s always been one for grand gestures, what he treasures most is these simple pleasures they share, just the three of them. “Happy Father’s Day, Kurt,” he says, and leans over to give his husband a sweet kiss. “There’s no one I’d rather do this with than you.”

My main Doctor Who thought re Thirteen is wow do I have some feelings about how Thirteen has one of the worst cases of CPTSD ever and it must suck so much. And also how she just got thrown back into the worst sort of trauma space because Daleks and because feeling like the only value she has is as a commodity/weapon. By ‘children’s toys pre and post WWI’ okay so I’m not sure of the exact accuracy anymore because trauma brain but I remember one of my professors talking briefly about how sales of toy soldiers (and I think even knights and related) went down significantly post 1918 (and that more toys related to pilots and planes because you could romanticise the “knights of the sky” but too many people had had horrific warfare experiences on a mass scale to do so with soldiers but I’m not sure because like, WWI pilot experience was Not Great) and I thought you could do an honours thesis on the subject.

Thinking about this again because of doing Tudor Triad stuff

(The exact specifics I didn’t figure out due to not doing thesis due to failing out a mental health crisis trauma bullshit laziness stuff)

wow this took forever oops!

tysm for the ask!! i’ve been meaning to make a carrd or something with oc intros, but i have so goddamn many ocs and so little time now that i’m in college and all that. and i have the code saved from my old pages before i remade, but those are kind of outdated and incomplete

that being said i’m probably gonna end up making that carrd regardless of how busy i am cause special interest indulgence and all that, so i’ll post about it when i do

anyway! i’m putting the actual oc answers under a readmore because i’m gonna try to do all the ocs i listed and it’ll be kinda long lol

3. What does your oc’s voice sound like? (Or, if you have one, what’s their voiceclaim?) Can they sing, whistle, or roll their rs? Do they have any speech impediments or notable dialects/accents?

how does one even describe voices... ok here goes

avani: she’s my character for a ttrpg campaign, so her voice sounds basically like mine (which might not help much cause you don’t know how i talk lol), but when i’m talking as her i pitch my voice up a bit and make it a bit more nasally. she’s not much of a singer, nor can she whistle, but she can roll her r’s pretty well. also, since she’s autistic and hard of hearing, her tone of voice often comes off the "wrong” way

farhan: he’s another ttrpg character i play lol, or at least he will be next semester, so his voice is again kind of like mine. but when i talk as him i pitch my voice down and it’s a bit hoarse. ig his voice would also be more “masculine” than mine but whatever. he can sing and whistle but has a pretty small vocal range (since he’s, like, 13 right now and will be 16 when i rp him next semester)

carter: i imagine his voice as low and on the quiet and raspy end, with a tiny bit of a lisp. he’s way too insecure to try to sing or even whistle or anything like that, though if he practiced at it he’d probably get pretty good

calira: she’s mute so n/a i guess. but she talks pretty formally in her dialect of elvish sign language, which is definitely unusual

sam: they have kind of a low voice that’s also raspy, but with quite a bit of pep and variation in their tone. they can even sing pretty well and they like to whistle constantly while working. that creates some kind of whiplash cause sam comes off as a typical edgy teen a lot of the time

jizoriel: high-pitched with lots of voice cracks, peak pretentious preteen/early teen jerkass. he can’t really sing or do anything similar, nor does he want to very much

victoria: so quiet and raspy that you can barely make out that it’s low and has a soothing and pleasant tone to it. she can sing well, or at least she could once upon a time

rowan: just! the happiest and most cheerful voice you can imagine! so much love behind how she talks! her voice fills up her whole head and the whole room!! and she whistles sometimes while she walks

ace: defies any masculine or feminine labels, smooth and cool in theory but they stutter quite a bit

charity: gruff but with a hint of cheer and clarity behind it that comes out when she’s startled. she loves to sing but can’t whistle and can’t roll her r’s either

jamal: i actually have a voiceclaim for him! it’s this (the voice that sings from 1:51 to 1:58)

kimberly: her voice is a bit high and a bit... idk how to say it exactly... i guess shrill would be the word?

fabián: his voice seems higher-pitched than it actually is cause he talks higher when he’s anxious, and he’s always anxious. it’s a bit hard to describe his voice otherwise tbh. i can hear it in my head but i can’t quite put it to paper oops. oh yeah also he has a great singing voice but never uses it sooo

7. What song reminds you of this oc? Does this match up with the type of music your oc likes to listen to?

this question opens up a wormhole cause i have playlists for many of these guys but instead i’ll just provide one (1) song for each and vaguely describe their music taste, how does that sound

avani: honestly “mr. capgras encounters a secondhand vanity” by will wood is a “her” song to me. her music taste leans a lot more toward older music though (like some classics from the 70s and 80s and such)

farhan: he’s still very new so i haven’t really found a song for him yet. but i know he absolutely loves peppy and energetic pop music and also sappy gay love songs

carter: (slaps my hand away when i try to type another will wood song) “fantasy island” by the shins always launches me into daydreams about him. which kinda roughly aligns with his music taste, he listens to a lot of those “mainstream indie” artists. he’d also listen to will wood because he’s gay and mentally ill <3

calira: one of my favorite songs on her playlist is “maximillian von spee” by dirt poor robins. but the music she listens to is basically all invigorating church-loving stuff with medieval-era instruments lmao

sam: “sometimes” by nick lutsko is an absolute bop and very much a sam song. sam actually doesn’t go out of their way to listen to music though, but when they do they listen to either the most soothing and relaxing stuff or to the angriest metal emo music. no in between

jizoriel: i’ll go the less emo angle here and say a song that reminds me of him is “upside down” by jack johnson. jizoriel’s music taste is like. old choir music and shit plus incomprehensible magical music that doesn’t even sound like music. if he was from earth he’d like my chemical romance

victoria and rowan: i’m grouping these two together here because a song that reminds me very strongly of both of them/their relationship is “human” by dodie. which actually fits very well into both of their music tastes!

ace: again, going the less edgy angle here, “auntie earth” by walter mitty and his makeshift orchestra. but ace mostly listens to uh, classical flute music and flute covers

charity: absolutely “dance and cry” by mother mother, that’s pretty much her theme song. it’s among her favorite songs in canon too

jamal: “tire swing” by los elk, since his arc is about letting go of childhood and all that jazz. he’s more inclined to listen to fun. and other pop artists and rappers and such. he likes janelle monae

kimberly: “best tears” by the happy fits for sure. in terms of her music taste though, her taste is pretty similar to jamal’s. they bond over being janelle monae fans

fabián: by god does “heal” by so much light fit him. his taste is that he rotates through three (3) specific obscure indie artists lmao, so theoretically i guess that specific song is included in there

18. How does your oc see themself? How does this compare to the way other ocs see them?

i am gonna do my best to keep these short cause this is a loaded question for all of them hoo boy

avani: how she sees herself: honestly the worst person alive. unless she spends every moment of her time trying to make up for what she’s done, she’s worthless, and she doesn’t deserve to love herself in any capacity how others see her: her brother (farhan) really looks up to her! most of the time. the superhero team she’s on (other people’s ocs) all think she’s generally smart and capable enough, and her boyfriend in particular thinks she’s incredible

farhan: how he sees himself: as of right now? a misunderstood emo middle schooler who’s still kind of cool i guess how others see him: his sister (avani) thinks he’s quite an impressive and charismatic young man

carter: how he sees himself: 1/10 awkward and annoying how others see him: carter reminds calira too much of her old self, so she love-hates him. sam thinks he’s weak and cowardly but admires his kindness. and jizoriel clings to him as a caring father figure and loves carter’s passion for natural studies

calira: how she sees herself: it goes back and forth between “i’m the greatest chosen one ever im such a strong warrior” and “wow i’m literal trash why did the gods pick me for this” how others see her: carter is a bit intimidated by her but appreciates her attempts to vibe with him, sam thinks she’s an annoying pretentious self-important bitch (but their opinion softens over time), and jizoriel sees right through her facade and feels comfortable around her because of it

sam: how they see themself: evil and in need of redemption, kind of similar to avani ig but with 10x more confidence in their skills and also much more violent how others see them: carter knows theyre doing their best even if theyre kind of an asshole, calira is a fan of their strength and determination, and jizoriel Hates Their Guts (at first) because they baby him too much

jizoriel: how he sees himself: a fucking fraud of a prince. all he has going for him is his abilities as a mage, but even then those are shaky how others see him: carter knows he’s very insecure and wants to comfort him, calira admires his magical prowess and noble air, and sam thinks he’s a snarky little pretentious douchebag but also he reminds them of their late brother and they want to protect him at all costs

victoria: how she sees herself: basically dead. only good for interacting with ghosts. not worthy of the human world or of friendship how others see her: she reminds rowan of her old self. rowan sees a glimmer of love and hope in her and wants to bring it out

rowan: how she sees herself: a fucking mess but she’s trying her best and that’s what counts! how others see her: victoria very much appreciates her cheerful air even if she doesn’t act like it

ace: how they see themself: way too weird to be human, way too weak not to be. their self-image changes constantly. theyre very confused about everything please help how others see them: charity is literally dating them lol she thinks theyre the cutest person alive, jamal appreciates how hard they try as a friend, kimberly thinks theyre an alien invader whom she can study and use to get further in life, and fabián knows more about ace than anyone else and loves them for it

charity: how she sees herself: a Teenager who’s struggling. she desperately wants to be young without the burden of her trauma but whether she thinks of herself as emo and sad and angry or not depends a lot on her mood how others see her: ace adores everything about her, jamal loves how cool and fun and sociable she can be, kimberly is annoyed with her rebelliousness, and fabián worries very much for her well-being and can’t shake the image of her as helpless (oops that’s gonna cause some drama)

jamal: how he sees himself: just a chill guy trying to get by. unremarkable. how others see him: ace is grateful for how forgiving he can be but is still terrified of him being angry over [spoilers], charity loves how sociable and fun he is and how protective he can be of his friends, kimberly secretly envies his carefree nature, and fabián sees him as a solid acquaintance to whom he did not give a good first impression

kimberly: how she sees herself: not good! if she can’t grow up fast and do science well then she’s useless how others see her: ace wants to be friends with her but doesn’t know how to do that, charity is annoyed by her rule-bound-ness, jamal thinks she’s cool but should unwind a little, and fabián resents her at first but would still like to play chess with her sometime

fabián: how he sees himself: he has a moral responsibility to help people Or Else. way too anxious and stuck up but he doesn’t know how to change that how others see him: ace fuckin Loves this guy, charity loves him too but she gets pissed when he tries to help her with anything, jamal genuinely thinks he’s a great guy and wants to get to know him better, and kimberly is actually impressed by him and envies his apparent confidence and charisma
