If anyone wanted to know what it's like to be a trans person not aligned with masculinity online, I've had such a huge issue with both cis and transmasc people calling me dude and then arguing about it when I asked them not to that I had to set my nickname in discord servers as "don't call me dude/man/bro". That wasn't enough so I changed it to be in all caps and set my overall discord display name as "DONT CALL ME DUDE/MAN/BRO". Within a few hours I was @ed on a server I never talk in, a server where most of its members never talk because it's a mod development/compilation server so people are there for information and that's it, by an any pronouns trans person who hasn't spoken in that server in a YEAR and talked again specifically to misgender me

Maybe it’s someone kenji or Sammy know based on them having the strongest reactions out of the group (someone from mantah corp?) or maybe it could be someone from jwcc, maybe it’s even someone who we thought was dead and isn’t actually dead

Your brother was finally back in town and the first thing he decided to do was go see you and your mother. As much as you were happy to see him, you werent really able to enjoy his presence so much.

All you could think about was that video. From the moment it was taken a year ago until now you could barely sleep properly, the fear of someone leaking it too high. Your legs shakes nervously as you try to find the right words for whatever is going on.

“Y/n is everything okay? You seem distracted.” You raise your head, your name getting called taking you by surprise. You look at your mother, who is trying to decipher your expression, meanwhile your brother seems pretty much worried.

“Uh.. yeah. Yes i mean,” you sigh, a hand going through your hair and, before your mother can tell you to not do that or your hair will go everywhere on the plate, you let everything out. “There’s this girl who has been taunting me lately,”

“Oh now thats different, usually you’re the one doing that.” “Yeonjun!” You pout, giving a cold glance to your brother, still, you appreciate him trying to bring the mood up. “And… she did say she has, you know,” You look at your mom, it was so hard talking about it last year, your really dont want to bring it up once again.

“She does have that video and she keeps telling me she will post it and i… i guess its stressing me a bit.” You hide your face in your hands, both for embarrassment and not wanting to cry. Your mother takes a seat next to you, her hand on your back.

“Is there something we can do?” You need to think about this for a moment. The thought of Minji leaking the video is eating you alive, but at the same time you cant tell if its just a threat or if she’s being serious. Ruining someone’s life for a harmless threat seems a bit too much, but you cant really live in fear forever.

“Actually.. there might be something.” And so you tell your mother her name, and the fact that her father does in fact work in our company. You dont tell her to fire him or anything, the best thing to do right now is wait for your mother to decide whats best.

hours later, you’re about to go to sleep when Yeonjun suddenly opens the door of your room. You take off your headphones and sit up on the bed. “What?” Your brother rolls his eyes. “How loud do you have that on? There’s a guy with a loud ass motorbike who’s looking for you.”

We’re just going for a walk, mh?” He says, handing the helmet to you. You sigh, its not like you have another option, and walking a bit with jungwon could only help you.

So you decide to go, it was way harder to get on the motorbike than you expected, but the ride was worth it. Even if you were quite cold with just the dress you had on.

Later on, you’re both walking on the bridge, his jacket on your shoulders meanwhile your hands brush with each other at every step, but never actually intertwine. “Listen, i dont know what Minji has been telling you, but she is a good person after all. She just doesnt know the right way to show she cares.”

You nod, thinking about what just happened at dinner, the way you told your mather everything might just ruin her life, and Jungwon will hate you for it. “Isnt Sunghoon the same?” He asks, and you have to glance at him, at least Sunghoon doesn’t go around threatening people.

“All Hoonie does is glance at you and tell you to get away from me, its very different.” “Then what does Minji do?” You look at the ground, you dont really want to tell him everything, so you just shrug. “It doesn’t matter.”

I believe a fine example on how he’d probably truly fall in love w a woman would be having a deep late night conversation. ok, your job was just to protect a person. but it was difficult to protect this specific person, when in your eyes, she was the most attractive girl in the world.

it wasn't that different for tyla either, she liked her bodyguard a lot, maybe an obsession. but, she avoids this feeling, because she thinks that you are dating someone.

the reason? on the last days you've been smiling at your phone, even during work hours. this makes her paranoid, to the point where she wants to pull her own hair with her hands.

one day, you two were in tyla's dressing room, she was going to record a truth or dare video for a magazine.

"are you listening to me?" she asked, sitting down beside you.

"oh yes, sorry." you said, turning off your phone. "what were you even saying?"

she sighed, annoyed. "nothing. forget it. you're probably too busy on your phone." she let out a scoff and at the same moment, a staff knocked on the door. "tyla, let's start recording." he said and she nodded, standing up and giving you an angry look, and you just followed her.

the recording started, and as always you couldn't take your eyes off tyla. you were close to the staffs, watching her with a smile, blushing. tyla wore a beautiful outfit, which highlighted her waist and shoulders.

"truth or dare?" the interviewer asked, making her smirk. "truth."

"is it true that at the moment, you are interested in someone?" he asks.

"well, i do have an interest in someone. but unfortunately," tyla looked at you discreetly, annoyed. "this someone doesn't pay attention to me and just focuses on their phone."

you widened your eyes and choked on your own saliva, making everyone look at you in silence, frowning.

"i-i'm okay." you said loosening your tie. tyla smirked, trying to contain a laugh.

after the interview, you went into the dressing room to get some air. all the looks exchanged between you and tyla during the day was killing you inside.

"nervous?" tyla said entering the dressing room, behind you.

you sighed and smirked, looking at yourself in the mirror. "maybe."

"i was expecting that reaction." she said approaching the large dressing room mirror and looking at herself. "don't you wanna tell me something?"

"i want to, but i want to tease you much more because of your jealous crisis." you chuckled, leaning against the wall and crossing your arms.

tyla stared at you, salivating. your flexing muscles made her dizzy. "just answer me!" she said rolling her eyes.

you laughed at her lack of patience. "i like you too, a lot." you said, and her eyes widened.

"are you serious? so-" she turned to you. "so why don't you pay attention to me?!"

"who said i don't pay attention to you?" you replied, approaching her slowly. "just because i pay attention to other things,ndoesn't mean i don't notice you."

"so.." she looked into your eyes. "why are you just focusing on your phone on those days?"

"well, maybe i was on my phone watching some edits of you.." you laughed, removing her hair from her face.

tyla opened her mouth, suprised. but then she understood everything and laughed along. "you're obsessed with me, aren’t you?"

"yes, and? there's no point in denying it anymore." you place your hands on her waist. "should i?"

"you should." tyla smiled and you kissed her slowly.

the kiss was slow, but intense and full of passion. while you caressed her waist, she hugged your neck tightly so you wouldn't run away.

"tyla? are you there?" a staff knocked on the door, making you two flinch and widen your eyes, separating.

"yes, i am!" she said cleaning her throat.

he entered at the room. "you forgot your bag on the table." he handed over the bag and narrowed his eyes at the two of you.

My take on Kotoko as a morally gray person, about a morally gray character who thinks in black and white

first of all, i absolutely love this woman, so all of this comes from a kotoko enjoyer, but when talking about canon i can not turn the blind eye to the wrongs she has done. i will talk about my perception of her murder, of her as a character and about her beating up the guilty prisoners (i will put this emoji 🐺 when i jump subjects just to keep it organized)

this next phrase is my personal take, i know some will disagree with me and thats okay, which also works as a tl;dr:

Kotoko didnt do anything wrong outside the prison, but she did wrong inside of it

i know beating up people isnt actually good, but she did research upon research to get to the bottom of the cases she was investigating and found the culprits this way. "but she could've brought them upon justice" and you arent wrong about that, but the victim she actually murdered, even when his identity was revealed to the public, the law didnt bring justice upon him.

her victim was a child murderer, he had already killed 10 girls in 2 years, but even then, he was still free because of his father’s position of power. 

then we have her other victim, the man she beat up and sent to the hospital

there are a couple articles dedicated to this one. but a quick run down: the man, Mikio Oshii, was wanted for theft and assault, having tricked at least 2 or 3 elderly people, pretending to be a bank employee, and convincing them to hand over cash, he pushed one of his victims, fracturing her ankle. 

then we have the article about Kotoko’s assault. again a quick run down: someone heard screaming and found a man lying on the ground, who had lost consciousness after being beaten up, and was taken to the hospital. the police suspects a man (kotoko was wearing men’s sneakers and covering herself up). the victim was wanted for theft and assault charges and was Mikio Oshii.

further proving that she was aiming at people who prayed on the weak, she had good intentions (at least at first), and we also have the facts that she was trying to go through the lawful(?) path at first 

she was studying law, showing us that she genuinely believed her cause, bringing justice to the world and protecting the innocent, or “weaklings” as she calls them, more on that later.  that she was gonna try and go for the morally correct route, but what changed? what is that thing she “wants to do”? i hope we get to see her reasoning on the next trial. for now i agree with the theory that says that her or her family was victim of someone like the guy that was above law for having money and a father with a position of power. showing her the flaws of the law/justice system and thus taking matters into her own hands.

🐺 i personally believe that there are some people who dont deserve second chances, like pedos and rapists, and like the man kotoko murdered, between others. so this is why i forgive her from her crimes. she did proper research, she is passionate about it, she wants to protect the weak, or thats what she tries to convince herself of, because this brings me to my next point

she does have those violent tendencies, and she enjoys them

this is from the t1 trailer, people suspect this were phrases they said after their murders. so i think there is a possibility that while she was trying to convince herself that her actions were for justice, to try and protect the weak, and i dont doubt that that was where it came from at first, she ended up doing it out of personal enjoyment.

i once read that “if you do a good deed because you want to do it, it means that you arent a good person. to be a good person you need to do good deeds without wanting something in return” meaning that you should be uninterested on even the satisfaccion of said deed. this is a phrase that i absolutely hate and dont agree with, but i think it applies in here. kotoko was trying to do something “good” (morality is on the bearer’s eyes) by bringing to justice people who kept escaping it, by taking revenge for those weaklings she so desperately wants to protect, and while thats her main motivation, she also does it because she wants to.

i believe my girl has a thirst for power. she is self righteous, the way she refers to the people she wants to protect as “weaklings” its like shes putting them down in some way, the way on her VD she just wants to keep rambling about her theories, the way she inserted herself on Mikoto’s interrogation, the way she just assumes Es’ intentions and doesnt seem to accept when they call her out on it. she doesnt listen to others at all and once her mind is set on something, there is nothing that can move her from there. she isnt a good person…. but also, she isnt a bad person, and i feel that the fandom forgets those two statements can coexist. even if she sees herself as a saint, and firmly believes that she did nothing wrong, thats because

🐺 her world view is black and white. and this is why while i condone her actions on her murder, i do not condone her actions of beating up the guilty prisoners.

a lot of the prisoners have a black and white morality, heck, milgram itself as a system IS black and white. and from what i’ve read, a lot of the fandom also thinks in black and white. all of which i find extremely… interesting…. tbf its the nd majority vote game about nd murderers on the nd website, so makes sense (im half joking, sorry)

kotoko attacked the guilty prisoners because thats what she had been doing, and thats what she got voted innocent for on t1 (i wasnt around). but no one told her to do that, she acted on her own, she misinterpreted her judgment and forced her opinions and methods on others, claiming it were Es’, without their knowledge and without ours.

as a side note, when i first got into the fandom, i found surprising to see that kotoko was inno and fuuta was guilty on t1, since from my perspective their crimes are basically the same, they both exposed and harrowed “bad” people.

i make a lot of emphasis on black and white thinking, since its something im familiarized with, for example lets talk Amane since its her trial is still going

she is the type of girl who will correct other’s mistakes, who will call them out and try to fix them so that the others can be right, like her. her truth is absolute and even when it flails, she stands her ground and proceeds to believe in herself and her views of the world. in what i said, you could re read that and it would also apply to kotoko, and just like her, Amane also convinced herself of doing something she wanted to do by telling herself it was the right thing to do. kotoko’s “protecting the weaklings” directly translates to amane’s “punishing her mother for her sins (hurting the cat)”. so while in both cases there were hidden feelings, something tells me neither of the girls knew about their own ulterior motives, thats how well they convinced themselves.

people who think in black and white just see it as it is, right or wrong, left or right, green or blue, there is no other choice but those two. and from my personal experiences with myself and with others, its something you end up applying in almost every aspect of your life and its really difficult to change up this way of thinking. beginning to see the grays of the world and its other options its not an easy task without some proper help

overall, i dont believe she was right for hurting the guilty prisoners, and fuuta losing his eye because of her gives me a horrible gut feeling. overall, it also ties on her need for power, since she firmly believes shes Es’ “fang”, thus reducing herself a weapon for justice, not implementing her own judgment anymore, but someone else’s, ours, which my problem with her actions in this scenario. i firmly believe that if outside the prison she had came across mahiru or fuuta, she wouldn’t have attacked them, but  after her t1 inno, and getting her ideals supported, her beliefs became radical, and now shes going based on our ideals, our judgments, our right or wrong, our black and white morality, MILGRAM’s black and white morality.

🐺 im still a kotoko inno truther, and i love her, shes my favorite character. but i dont expect her to get innocent this trial, as she did wrong. i dont want to say it was our fault that she harmed the other prisoners, since we had no way of knowing this would happen. in retrospect we can say whatever we want, but none of us can read the future. 

i dont even have a real argument on why you should vote her innocent “shes pretty” is not good enough lmao… but who knows, maybe we will see something that makes her worthy of an inno vote on her second trial a few months from now (not counting on it, probably wont be enough)

in the end i wrote this because im really passionate about this character and her black and white views on the world (shes so intense). and because this beautiful person @archivalofsins told me to "keep talking about kotoko" and i have zero self control regarding this fictional woman.

🐺 i believe with the help of a third party, someone who could act as a moral compass to her and could teach her that the world has more colors, more choices, and if she actually learns about this, she would end up being an amazing thing. 

also, if the theory about her being an accomplice of the serial killer turns out to be true, i will puke and cry :)

• his actual name is Pepino Rodrigo Serrano Gonzales, because he had two mamas And one Papa (IN MY AU.), but some of the muppets found it hard to remember his real name, so Pepe just told them to call him "Pepe". But some of the muppets call him by his real name, like Mildred huxetetter And some other pretty much older And mature muppets in the boarding home

• he is 21 years old in my AU

• he is bisexual And polyamourous, he is dating Pepe And yolanda

• he has an colorful hair with neon rainbow colors, but his actual hair color is either Dark Brown or blonde

• they has an patch on his tail because he Got Hurt when he was Younger, he was probably bitten by a cat And he even Got stitches because that Cat nearly ate off his tail, but only the top of it

I just read a re-post of one of my post from a non-gaylor, and I would like to say it was a really good, respectful answer that explained their point of view perfectly and, by any means, this post is an attemp to start beef or anything.

Being said that, one of the points that really standed out to me was how some fans would "force a queer identity on her" (not quoting them, just summarizing) and how twisting lyrics to hold a narrative or using certain interpretation of a song, was not healthy, in reference to the connection I made to the album midnights and Taylors queerness.

Now, I would like to ask, isnt twisting a lyric to fit a narrative how people started saying that Taylor was the "argumentative antithetical dream girl" she refers to in hits different, when is crearly (and is a question of grammar and basic language comprension) refering to the muse of the song?

Bet I could still melt your world, argumentative antithetical dream girl. Are you kidding me?? How could you posible say this makes sense if she was refering to herself???

Then, the paternity test constantly done by swifties to look for the muse of a song is nothing more than a certain interpretation of the lyric to fit the narrative. So that is not a thing exclusive to gaylors, almost every swiftie does it.

Now, that is what I like to call a double standard. I am not shaming the original autor of the post that have inspired this text, but pointing out a more societal problem. Very often, speculation and shipping and reading into things, if done in a hetero way is okay but do not dare to do it in a way that relates to queerness.

About the "forcing a queer identity on her", there is a thing, done through history called flagging. Safo was doing it in ancient Grecee, so did Oscar Wilde and more recently Elton John or James Dean. There are signals of the queer community to signal discretely to other lgbtq+ that they are one of them.

Taylor is not subtle about her flagging. She went out in a bi pride colored jacket to sing "and you can want who you want, boys and boys and girls and girls". She did sing about wearing someone like a necklace. She did spray paint her paint the bi colors to her gay pride music video. Use the lyric hair pin drop more than once. She puts lesbian flag colors as the main lighting in her world wide tour. And much much more. Is obvious, really out there for the people who want to see it to see.

Once you see that, you have no option but to hope she is queer; because if she was not, she would only be a straight girl that harmed the queer comunity by taking all the simbolisim that lgbtq+ people have built througt the ages and making it hetero to the mainstream, erasing the very little history the comunity has managed to create in the opressed world that it had have to endure.

So, even if I think that the answer to my previous post was really well written and respectful, I do not think it is a really nuance take.

but yeah, no. misa amane doesn't understand sex with no strings attached. hell, she doesn't understand any relationships that aren't transactional. but it's very pivotal that kiyomi takada doesn't have anything she wants from her. misa amane can't give her anything. more accurately, kiyomi doesn't need anything that misa could possibly give her, and it's a strange dynamic that's so alien to misa that she's intrigued and repulsed by it.

im a kiyomisa truther forever but i also do rotate remisa sometimes and i think half of why remisa doesn't work out reciprocated in canon is because like, misa cannot comprehend why rem just wants to protect her straight up, she keeps asking what rem's ulterior motives are in the bathroom scene, and rem is just like no i want to protect you. thats all. thats it. and misa fundamentally cannot fucking deal with thatttt but it's easier with kiyomi because at least she hates misa so she makes SOME sort of sense. theyre mutually obsessed with each other but kiyomi doesn't liiike misa that can't be it! thank god! her internal crisis is staved off for one more day

okay so I’ve really been thinking about tommy calling buck evan (irrationally thinking about it idk why it’s bothering me) bc why are they doing that? there has to be a reason bc I’d say all his past love interests have called him buck with maybe the odd evan thrown in there when the moment is serious. and technically we don’t get to see tommy and buck’s first interaction on screen bc they’re already in the helicopter when we first see them. and I was thinking chim would’ve obviously introduced eddie and buck to tommy and I would guess he would’ve said “hey this is eddie and this is buck” since that’s what they go by. like he wouldn’t use their government names lool. and then through out the helicopter journey everyone only referred to buck as buck so tommy know’s everyone calls him buck. like at this point does he even know his real name? I would guess not since everyone’s calling him buck. and then I was thinking when buck called tommy to set up the tour he most definitely introduced himself as “buck” since again, everyone was referring to him as “buck” on the helicopter. UNLESS buck said “hey Tommy it’s Evan Buckley - buck from the helipcopter…” BUT even then, it just doesn’t make sense why he’s calling him evan. like when eddie comes to the hangar, eddie calls him “buck” but again, they make it a point to have tommy call him Evan even after that. and they do this all the way through out the episode even though everyone else is calling him buck in the same moments!!! so why is tommy insisting on using his government name?! like ik he called chim “howie” but that makes sense since tommy knew chim as howie but with buck, he met him as buck!!! not as evan !! AND he’s calling Eddie “Eddie” and not edmundo so it’s clearly not that he doesn’t like nicknames Lmao. AND also, I find it weird that buck doesn’t correct him? like I dunno I just feel like he would? he’s corrected his parents in the past and when chim called him evan that one time he was like ???? and again, I understand he’s a love interest but his past LI’s didn’t even call him evan like that yet they had tommy drop evan like 50 times and for what??? has to be something right? so this show isnt a stranger to name symbolism, natalia literally means birth or rebirth. so buck dating the girl whos name means fresh start after he DIES makes sense, but in a sort of insane irony way i think the death of that relationship was actually supoosed to be the "rebirth" in a sense

and since hes being given this "clean slate" (to throw us back to the last breakup because bucktaylor breakup is literally one of my fav scenes ever) theyre starting us off in a territory we've never been in by showing us through the most prominent symbolism possible. this one seems different because it IS different, and heres one thing this LI is doing that no other LI did, just to prove it.

I do think the other effect of this choice though is that is DOES make us uncomfortable. thats not a name that gets thrown around lightly so to hear it roll off someones tongue like its an everyday occurance rightfully makes us a little apprehensive. I think it could be a clever storytelling technique so as to say this is something that seems looks and feels really good on the surface, but they are throwing in that one little element that provides us with a little unease so that we dont get too comfortable sitting here.

ok so i just woke up and i have to tell you all about the dream i had before i forget it because the vibes were So Strange i know people love to be like “nobody cares about other people’s dreams” but personally i think this was FUNNY. in hindsight. in the dream i was kind of annoyed

anyway i was like. the fairy queen or something and it was this big fairy party (not like a royal ball more like a house party but the house is Fancy with plants and glitter and satin everywhere. and fountains of wine and whatnot) and i’m sat on my party throne (one of those big martini glass bathtubs with a round mattress in it) (i’m filling in the gaps okay let me have my fun but it was like a big round bed but Tall so i could enjoy watching people dance. the martini tub would be on brand though i just don’t know what the underneath looked like because i never got off it. i’ll get to Why

and i’m lounging i’m gossiping with the girls drinking fairy wine and honestly. i’ll say it. serving absolute Cunt. when one of my loyal subjects sadly flies over and he lands next to me and i (Awake Ana) Recognise him. it’s timmy chalamet (who is apparently a fairy. also i don’t know how to spell his full first name so i will be calling him timmy throughout i’m sorry i’m usually a big proponent of getting people’s names right but i just woke up and i know i’ll forget the dream in like five minutes).

and Fairy Queen me obviously knows him and is like oh poor timmy what’s happened. and he’s absolutely out of his tree on fairy wine but he’s a Sad drunk and he starts crying about how not enough people think he’s hot anymore and how everyone used to want him and now he’s willy wonka and nobody wants him what’s WRONG with him what HAPPENED he used to have it ALL. all explained through sobbing.

and so as a kind fairy queen i say oh poor timmy it’s okay i’m sure someone somewhere still thinks you’re hot. and i let him put his head on my lap and continue to cry while i make eye contact with my fairy girlies and roll my eyes while taking a bitchy sip of my wine. and you would think that’s like a solid narrative end that’s where i would wake up right? no.

the dream continues but all i can do is halfheartedly pat timmy’s head and every now and then i try to gently hint that i would like him to go somewhere else now because he’s really bringing down the vibe like they’re playing bangers and i can’t even get up and dance with the girlies buffy-and-faith style because i have this sad little guy crying on me.

it felt like it went on forever and i was like. ugh this isnt even worth crying about let alone for a whole party but i knew he was fragile because my friend warned me that one of his stan accounts quit after they changed their hair conditioner and realised the old one was sinking into their brain and making them attracted to mr chalamet (i’m assuming because i was looking at a compilations of stan accounts coming to reason after finding black mould in their room or getting on mood stabilisers before i went to bed). and so i couldn’t bring myself to just push him off me or get the fairy bouncers (??) to kick him out so the rest of my dream was like. well i guess i’m stuck here with this guy crying all over my spider silk dress while everyone else dances to lush life by zara larsson
