Alt! Attuma x Soft! Okoye HeadCannon:

Attuma's second favorite tattoo would be the bite mark scar, he has on his right hand due to being bitten by a hammerhead.  He loved it to the point he sketched out the outline,  of the jaws of a Hammerhead just to tattoo it around the scars he even covered with a design of shark teeth.

Attuma lifted his arm when he felt Okoye sit beside him before sliding close to his side.  Instantly, he squeezed her lightly while his hand settled by her hip.   Okoye reached for his hand, gently massaging his palm and knuckles while looking at the tv.  Slowly he felt Okoye's fingertips run over his scars, touching each one carefully. 

A crescent-shaped bite mark that healed into scars, covered his knuckles on Attuma's right hand.  Each cut held a small tattoo-shaped shark tooth filling in the scars. 

"What is this?", Okoye asked gently tapping the scars while Attuma flexed his hand in her grasp.

"A scar that I tattooed over a few years back", he hummed watching Okoye even trace a few.

"From what?"

"Well I got bitten by a shark while out at sea with my cousins", Attuma mused, giving a faint smile even while Okoye gave him a surprised look.

"It wasn't that serious, I promise.  But it was a hammerhead shark that happened to be chasing after a fish that got hooked on one of our fishing lines. I reached to get it out while Namor held it close to the boat, with me not waiting for help I got bitten", He explained, lightly shrugging his shoulders.

Okoye traced the fine dark lines around the tooth markings tattoo, the shape made out to be a hammerhead's jawline.  "You are lucky that it did not damage your hand."

Attuma reached to lightly grasp her chin, gently caressing her jawline while he spoke, "Maybe but it's something I cannot fully describe to see such an animal close and to watch it return back to the depths of the sea".  He leaned close to press a reassuring kiss on her forehead and then her cheek.

"Or you could also be biased about it since you do like sharks, especially hammerheads," Okoye deadpanned. Attuma gave a chuckle, flashing a crooked smile in response.

"If it makes you feel any better Namor was yelling while Namora threw a towel at my head since I refused to wait for her to help.”

edit ion know guys. I feel like there could be a Sydney dismissal event for that last one cause im gettin the chills. As Syd can have a big reaction when PC confesses to them about their broken vow, it’s likely that Sydney would react strongly if PC cheats on them with Whitney during PC/Sydneys pregnancy. Whitney might do some cheeky blackmailing like with Kylar. Siding with Whitney leads Sydney to break up with the PC as a result. Just a speculation. So far we have Whitney making Sydney moan during their little fight in the library, being able to impreg/be fucked by Sydney during science class and Sirris prolly be like “thats my boy/girl!!! Grandchildren rahhhhh” in syd’s future pregnancy content, so ima expect something real funky.

So far, I can think of two long-term consequences:

Dismissal event: Sydney feels betrayed.

Sydney may not be able to let go of what happened, leading him to make a stupid long term plan to kidnap the PC. He may end up kidnapping the PC in the adult shop/his house's basement for some kinky bdsm session cause he doesn't want the PC to leave him due to abandonment issues. PC developing yet another stockholm syndrome.

It does have a healthy amount of denial I am not shy or ashamed about that 👀

But at the same time, I do not base my thoughts on nothing, I base it his dialogue and scenes partnered with a bit of psychology! And you know what I'll take this chance to ramble even more because I always have thoughts on DOL characters and their complexity

I am in no way shape or form saying that Bailey is thinking sunshine and rainbows and the stereotypical loving sighs everytime he thinks of PC-- quite the opposite 👀

I think, no matter what situation, you're literally not getting any cute loving relationship with Bailey, I think that man is too far broken, too guarded, too self-isolated. He'd not really allow it for himself, and if he did... It'd probably be deeply toxic and controlling. Because that's... What he knows.

I think the whole thing is, Bailey doesn't want a weakness. He doesn't want to have any of that kind of feelings (frankly he seems to try to be detached from feelings in general), and I think even /realizing/ having any sort of feelings like that would infuriate him to no end, he'd internalize it and it'd eat him up inside.

And with that being said, I do genuinely think he does have a soft spot for the PC. Again, not a cutesy "Oh I love PC so much!!" absolutely fucking not. And sure, you could say it's only because PC brings in the most money,,, but I think it's more than that.

I've already listed a few of my reasons in my previous Bailey post, but honestly even if we just look at personality...

I think the two big archetypes of PC-personality is the Defiant who looks Bailey in the eyes without fear, isn't scared of him, fights back, refuses to conform, and protects the others. A pain in his ass, a thorn that won't be pricked.

Or, the neutral-to-submissive type, who does as asked, helps everyone around the Orphanage, helps everyone around town, tries to keep hope and stay strong especially for the younger orphans. Someone i could see make him almost even more bitter.

And honestly... this is PURE speculation, because we don't know canonically Bailey's past yet... But I could straight up see that some of Bailey's speculated soft spot could come from seeing some of his younger self in the PC, maybe before the bitterness overtook him, before he became this hard shell that knew that the only way to ignore his own misery was at least captilazing on others, that the world would remain broken regardless of what he did.

Or maybe the version of himself he wished he could have been.

I am however simply speculating it could be something like that!! because genuinely psychologically pretty much no one turns out like him, without being deeply broken themselves.

But no to get back on the Bailey x PC dynamic

We know that everytime Bailey has shown these moments I've called attention to, they're almost immediately followed up by coldness.

Oh he came running because you screamed in the bathroom? Congrats you got slapped for wasting his time when there's nothing there. You managed to seduce him and make him admit he doesn't want you to leave? Yeah no you got shoved off him and kicked out of his office as soon as he was thinking rationally again.

-- and it's like that with everything when it comes to Bailey. Which is exact why I'll say again, Bailey is in no shape or form a lovesick puppy, and I don't think he realistically ever would be even if my speculated soft spot ever turned into something more. That man has stunted his emotions as what I would assume to be a survival instinct, recognized that emotions = weakness. Having people close = weakness.

But instead of continuously rambling on,, I'll sum it up and say that my conclusion is, that Bailey is a complex character there isn't a simple "Oh he's in love with the PC" or "Oh he doesn't care about anyone ever at all", it's much more complex than that. Just like I think a LOT of DOL characters are complex, which is part of why I love the game so much.

People definitely don't have to agree with me, and can absolutely say I'm in denial I'll accept that because even if it's denial I still love him 🤧

Oh my goodness, you guys, @scarvenartist did it again! After her perfectly smashing job of Maia's portrait, I commissioned her to do a portrait of Len to go along with it, and just look at what she came up with! This absolutely IS Lennox Davies, spy, detective, and magician. Ahhh! I'm so delighted with this!

I'll do another post later of both portraits so you all can see how well they go together, but for right now I want Len to get his moment in the spotlight all on his own.

So today I had what was kind of an interview for another job (kind of not, since the lady who called me wasn't the manager who does hiring and they wouldn't be back for two weeks) and this lady just gassed me up so much, her first question was "Mister Bryan, do you think you're over qualified for this position?" and she also said that I was the most qualified candidate for a job they've been searching for for months. And it is a job where the commute will suck the way the commute also sucks at Whitney, like its just like... the Seattle way to have to take two fucking buses for an hour of transit each way to get to work I guess, but the pay is better and oh yeah, this lady said Im fucking over qualified??
