Harley is so cute in the Gotham Girls comic but jfc the writing around her is so questionable the large part of the time 😭😭
sorry (no I'm not) but actually that feels so damned victim blamey and I resent the nasty ass way comics talk about her mental health problems it's so offensive. Paul D. Storrie im in your closet
like now why the fuck would Ivy or Barbara react this way? Ivy knows her and Barbara is literally a superhero,,, she also knows damn well who Harleen was???? it's kinda like a part of the superhero thing is learning about the enemies you're facing???? "Sure Harley I know" yeah she does know because Harley's fucking right you don't just get hired at ARKHAM what is wrong with the writer of this comic???
AND SHE WASN'T A PHYCOLOGIST !!!!! SHE'S NEVER BEEN A DAMNED PSYCHOLOGIST !!! ITS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THING FROM BEING A PSYCHIATRIST FFS !!!!!!!!

i think one of the things that makes toby fox's writing so great is his ability to tell a compelling narrative AND metanarrative at the same time. undertale isn't JUST about how people play games and the need for completionism, and it isn't JUST the main story that you play through. it's both! and both are equally important.
and i think the same will be true for deltarune. some people tend to think of it as black and white when theorizing, either focusing too much on the meta aspects without taking the actual plot and character arcs into account, or doing the opposite and saying that the meta aspects aren't important and won't end up being relevant to the story. it's both! it's always been both!!!

Personally I think a lot of opinions about which Monster Hunter games are "good" and which are "bad" just comes from people failing to recognize that Monster Hunter has two different mainline lineages going at this point, each of which are supposed to emphasize different aspects of the series and create a more distinct experience between them to make it more worth experiencing both. And some people won't like both lines! That's ok! It doesn't mean they're bad, it just means the style of that line isn't for you.

Minos' disgust with the minotaur coming partially from it being hideous also kind of reveals a bit about his character and how he would view hell and other people. He does not want to see things which are foul, upsetting and disgusting. What does this say about parts of hell? How he would feel about other husks? How the emotion can cloud his judgement and make him act cruelly. Like yes i agree its a bit yucky and ugly. But. The knee jerk reaction of it is ugly -> it needs to go away -> I cannot stand having ugly things in my world -> i am not thinking about how it would feel about being cast aside into suffering for this. Says a lot about him (or how he used to be!) imo. I know there is other reasons. That may have been on his mind more, but still it was a factor and a reason behind its damnation to violence.

Tbh the way fandom has the view of Gojo as either “hes not that powerful actually” or “he sees everything can do everything including travelling between dimensions” is kinda Gege’s fault? Its funny how jjk provides a lot of details into the nature of the cursed energy but the power level still feels a bit icky. The way Gojo’s powers are explained they are essentially applied mathematics and physics that are, usually, purely theoretical. I fucking hate quantum mechanics but unfortunately for everyone invovlved i am actively studying them so
So like technically he should be able to travel dimensions or into space or into the marianna trench and come out unscathed. The way teleportation works can be compared to the way we now know that black holes dont destroy information, but compress it. Considering the fact that blue and red work on the sheer fact that he creates an empty space and the universe rushes to fill it(which is genuinely a straight up impossible thing to do btw) and vice versa, he does technically have the strenght of a god. We dont even have a full knowledge of how the Six Eyes work, like okay they work thanks to seeing cursed energy. How the fuck then is he reading shit or typing on the phone with the blindfold on? That implies he sees perfectly well everything even if it doesnt have curse energy. Like when you go from his abilities he does seem like he can travel dimensions and whatever else. As fun as the Achilles and tortoise thing is, the fact that he can make it a reality effectively means that there is a shit ton of other things he should be able to do thanks to physics but i guess he needs a weakness (aside from being gay)
Which is FAIR overpowered characters aren’t good for a shonen narrative esp when they are on the side of the protagonist, it just feels sometimes like Gege gave him power over literal physics while forgetting that physics is like the thing that governs all. Genuenly. If you have the power to literally create an imaginary mass you are officially above all of the possible limits of the universe
