When sisyphus prime is at half health he changes form and resembles himself in life further. It shows he is enjoying himself, and that it makes him feel more whole? complete? happy? He gets his hair and beard back and the blood on his hands and feet start to have this particle effect and its all very spectacular and he is just radiating energy. Hes content and doing what makes him happiest.
Which makes me wonder. Could this have happened with minos prime? He is newly formed after he comes out the flesh prison, and battling is not something he would have been used to or a big fan of, definitely not something he would feel human again through. If he had survived and found happiness or fulfilment would it have changed him? Like it did to sisyphus?

But also. Its just kind of a constant reminder of his failure to protect his people and save them. And the cost of that is displayed so visually. How much suffering was caused because of heaven once again no way

And sisyphus is just so gently holding them. Carefully trying to soothe his dear insurrectionists wounds and bring them comfort. Something he knows is especially rare now. He is honoured by their loyalty to him even after everything. And he just wishes to bring them some kind of peace.

With the insurrectionists i want sisyphus to also be a man of great comfort. Physical and emotional. He loves them very much and they love him too.

Still dont get ppl super into ferryman/sisyphus but i think (pre prime) interaction would be interesting. Sisyphus cannot stand to see another being so manipulated and lead along by heaven. At least they never told him his punishment was for some false greater purpose

Idk im like not really a sisyphus / gabe shipper i just think gabriel should have something to do with this man. He is just like. Very taken aback in regards to his radiance. Its godly- he would know. And hes so huge. And he doesnt hate him. He is impressed by his ability to finally snap out of it and kill the oppressive council.

Perhaps some gabe and sisyphus prime where gabriel just. Wants sisyphus to hate him because his indifference hurts more

Like sisyphus knows if gabe didnt kill him some other angel would have. And it doesnt even fucking matter. Tbh i dont think he would have realised that he died either way. His will and strength being too strong to stop even after death that he just kept going. As an immediately formed prime soul. He doesnt have time to rest and he doesnt have time to die

so my post prime sisyphus/minos/gabe thoughts is that minos is the one who is suggesting to make gabriel suffer. He is the one who is very mad at gabriel and no kind of penance or change is going to undo what he did which was entirely unforgivable. How gabriel happily slaughtered him and left him to bleed out in the city, how he watched his corpse destroy everything in a personal and specific hell engineered by the angels (Gabriel. Minos knows he wasnt the only angel behind it but that doesnt make it hurt less. Gabriel is the face of it all.) nothing could make up for that. Minos is so fundamentally warped by the grief of it all that he would do anything to take gabriel down for it.
Sisyphus did not take his death at gabriels hands personally. His concern is with heaven. Gabriel is no longer a creature of heaven. He would be more unhappy that gabriel killed the council, robing him of the chance to do so. But it doesnt matter who did it because it is done. Gabriel is no longer just another pawn of the system to hate. So he is fine, even if he still doesnt truly forgive him for what he has done. Its irrelevant because he would rather have gabriel as an ally than not.

Thinking abt sisyphus (again) having virtues on his side. Like some of them surely have to be haters on how shit their afterlife is

Kind of also thinking abt gabriel seeing sisyphus prime like post p-2 if sisyphus survived. A being that is massive, strong and looking almost entirely made of pure light coming to confront him. Radiance and power lighting up the entire room with his presence. How he shines like a fucking god. Its almost heavenly to him

Perhaps one day sisyphus lets minos clean out his eye sockets for him. Gruesome work, but the gold builds up and he has to regularly change his bandages. He usually does it himself. It is another showing of how differently they both have it. Minos' crown doesnt really hurt him, beautiful vines and shapes cover his eyes, its all very ornate and regal. Sisyphus is different, and he is staring directly at him. Minos is trying to be as gentle as he can. Sisyphus would never really heal but he needs to do what he can. It really hurts, some things dont get less painful over time, minos has no idea. He got used to sisyphus looking that way, took it as normal and did not interrogate further. He guessed that was why sisyphus had asked him to do it. So he leans over him. Face to face as he scrapes the gold from his skin and cleans up his heavily damaged eyes.

Minos and sisyphus argue over who visits who. Minos dislikes greed, it is too hot and dry and everything burns into your skin, sisyphus thinks lust is very cold and the winds and temperature are not nice to his hair. But minos agrees to travel to greed with him. Sisyphus covers him over with the fabric wrapped around his waist, picking him up and protecting him from the unforgiving sun. Sisyphus crosses the sands. Minos questions it. Is it not supposed to melt skin off bone? 'You grow used to it.' But he wasnt going to put minos through it.
They get to sisyphus' place, there is a pool in the lower floor, out of the sun and comparably very cool. The snakes seem to be enjoying themselves however. They enjoy sisyphus' presence, resting around him to soak up his body heat and the sun.
It is not an entirely private area, anyone is free to enjoy the water here. But its empty and just private enough for the two of them. They share drinks, minos enjoys the pool and sisyphus sits on the side. He just has his legs in the water and he leans back on his hands to watch minos in the pool, jokingly chiding him for how little he visits and how much he enjoys his time here.
Minos eventually makes his way closer to sisyphus. He takes sisyphus' foot into his hand, running his hand over it as he remembers their conversation earlier. It is terribly scarred and hurt looking. No wonder he doesnt feel it anymore. His whole body is like this, and they are not even scars from his actual punishment, just the cruelty of hell and its elements. Sisyphus brings his own hand to minos' side, soft unscarred skin, a testament to how different they are, how their treatment differs. Minos is brought deeper into his thoughts. He has never been treated like that. Not by hell. Not by anything. His hands travel to rub sisyphus' calves, working through the tense muscles as he thought, hands sinking into his damaged skin.
