Vampire Captures Vampire Hunter to Use as Bloodbag part 1

Warnings: death, blood, vampire night club, kidnapping, human occasionally referred to as 'it'

A vampire hunter ambushes a vampire club with his crew -- but little does he know, the tables are about to turn, and not in the human's favor.

It was a day like any other, a group of friends hanging out at a top-notch club -- only this was a vampire club, exclusive to bloodsuckers alone. But somehow, news must have gotten out about it, because everything took a tragic turn. Vampire hunters came storming in right as the night was coming to a close. Those blasted party-crashers.

Alex assumed they must have been newer and more inexperienced hunters though, because no sane human would charge right into the middle of a group of predators. Because even with backup, and even armed to the teeth with silver and stakes, the hunters never really stood a chance.

A few unlucky vampires were killed during the initial attack, before the surprise wore off and the vampires retaliated. It was a bloodbath.

Human bodies littered the club floor by the end of it, and some of the vampires decided to take advantage of the opportunity for fresh blood. Others were still dispatching the last few surviving hunters, taking their sweet time. And Alex was one of them.

At the moment he had a young man pinned against the wall by the throat, but he didn't kill him quite yet. He merely watched the human struggle uselessly in his grip, clawing at his arms and snarling with teeth bared -- like a feral animal. He found it rather entertaining, how he still fought back even with no hope of winning.

"Alex! You gonna eat that one?" Alex craned his head to the side and flashed a fang-filled grin at Jack, his closest vampire friend, as he came up next to him.

"I'm certainly considering it," he chuckled, attention shifting back to the hunter in his claws. He saw a flicker of genuine fear in the human's eyes, so delicious and exciting as its wide eyes flicked between the two predators.

"Tonight turned out to be a disaster," Jack mused, running a hand through his hair. "I wonder who ratted us out to the humans. How did they get our location?"

"It could also merely be people sticking their noses where they shouldn't," Alex pointed out. "Only vampires are allowed access here. Why would a vampire rat out other vampires?"

"What if they caught one of us and tortured them into giving us away?"

Alex gave the hunter in his hold a rough shake. "Is that true? Did you interrogate one of us to find this place?"

The human just glowered venomously at him, a permanent glare etched into his features. Alex couldn't help but laugh at the petty show of defiance. It was cute, like a kitten spitting fire at a lion.

"...I think I actually have an idea for this one," he suddenly rumbled.

"What's that?" Jack asked.

"I think I might prefer to keep this one alive for now. Maybe turn him into a house pet or something."

Jack howled with laughter. "Keeping a hunter as your toy? That's pretty dangerous, my friend. They know how to kill us. It could turn on you at any second."

"I know. But I think it would make for a great challenge to break him in," Alex answered. "And it would prove beneficial to me as well. I'd have a constant food source at my disposal, so I wouldn't have to go to the trouble of catching fresh prey."

"I'm not going to be your pet," the hunter finally snarled, breaking his silence.

"Oooh--hoo! It's a feisty one, too!" Jack whistled. "Good luck trying to tame that spitfire!"

The human's face twisted with rage, and he suddenly kicked a leg out at Alex, aiming for his stomach to kick him away, but Alex snatched his ankle lightning-fast with his free hand, stopping him in his tracks.

"Bad idea, young one," he scolded mockingly, and tightened his grip around the hunter's throat, reveling in the panic that flashed in his prey's light brown eyes.

"The only advice I can give to you is to be careful, Alex. Who knows what this little beast is capable of." Jack giggled and ruffled the human's hair just to show he could, humiliating the creature further before he wandered off to talk to some other vampires.

Alex's sharp gaze swept over his catch, slow and appreciating. If he had to make a guess, he'd say the man was in his early twenties, a bold and impulsive individual from the looks of it. Didn't think things through before acting.

"I think we'll have a lot of fun together, don't you?" Alex cooed, and let go of the human's ankle to trail his fingers down the side of his soft neck, lingering over his skittering pulse. So fragile, so delicate a creature, so easily broken if he wasn't careful. He'd have to make sure to be gentle if he wanted the human to last. "What's your name, runt?"

"Curse you," the human spat viciously.

Alex cocked his head to the side, an amused smile playing across his lips. "Well, mister 'Curse You', what do you think about going on a little car ride?" he said smugly.

Halloween, Huh? Day 3 Reveals

Freaky Friday (I woke up in my enemy's body) Rated M - 8,873 words “So he’s entered some weird-ass, stress-induced fever dream where he’s in Henry’s body. It’s probably, like, the latent guilt Alex feels for the repercussions this will have on his mom’s approval rating even though the whole thing is objectively stupid and people will forget about it in a week.”

Save a horse - Rated E - 4,616 words This year’s Halloween costume was a no-brainer for Alex. Sure, the Barbie movie was questionable, to say the least, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that the costumes were really fun, and as soon as he saw Barbie and Ken coming out of that store with full-on cowboy outfits, he knew he needed that in his life- in his and Henry’s life, actually.

He even had the costumes custom made for them. And maybe he requested for Henry’s jeans to be a little tighter than the original ones, whatever. He is allowed.

“If anyone knows how to hold onto a grudge, it’s Alex,” June sighs.

“They hardly spoke for the next two centuries.” Bea plays a card. “Then Pez suggested a change of scenery, and we all moved to Brooklyn.”

Sitting at the table across from Henry, sinfully long eyelashes lowered as he focuses on the pile of papers in front of him is the most devastatingly beautiful man Henry has ever seen. So What Happened?

Before prom, on ‘human day’, Ruby saved the life of Verity Vandeviere from some jackass bounty hunter that was messing around in her town. It was a one time thing, only because Verity was human at the time. Ruby kicked ass, but it raised more than a few questions from vampire boyfriend Corey Andrews. She decided to confess that she was a bloodline hunter. It didn’t change anything, he loved her all the same.

Prom Night happens in Havensdale and Ruby McReid has a magical night. Perhaps the first and last truly normal night of her life. She was crowned Prom Queen, danced the night away with her vampire boyfriend, had fun at the after party and, for the first time in her life, felt like the world wasn’t on her shoulders.

It doesn’t last long. Of course it doesn’t. The next morning, the news breaks about Effy and Leo. Ruby suspects foul play immediately, it relights her righteous fury that things like this keep happening in her town. The deaths were covered up for the sake of Havensdale’s humans, but she knew the truth-- Juliette Palmer killed them both. Ruby graduates and knows that she’s fully committed to being a hunter.

There isn’t long to form a plan to keep her people safe when Founder’s Day comes along. They thought they were prepared for this, but they were wrong. Ruby goes underground with the rest of the McReids- her mother, Krystal McReid, included- and forms the underground Resistance. She dedicates her life to the cause and, in the end, it takes too much.

They had a plan. November 2016-- they were finally going to put an end to this, only for it all to go devastatingly wrong. Carrie is kidnapped and Ruby is powerless in the moment when Edward forces Alex Andrews to feed on her before delivering the killing blow. She laid dying when Alex turned her into a vampire and Ruby screamed as she realised she could never leave her baby sister alone in this world for eternity.

Corey refused to do it- he couldn’t, the bloodlust- so she turned to Jess Harvelle. Her best friend, her beloved best friend who broke her heart. Her best friend who had just turned her humanity back on after all those years. Her best friend who could barely control her bloodlust, but she would just have to because Ruby was going to be turned into a vampire, one way or another.

In the aftermath, Ruby was left empty. She was left feeling like a part of her died- it had, hadn’t it?- and then there was, well, the bloodlust. Being a vampire. The one thing she had hated, had feared, her entire life. Ruby needed to get out, she needed to be alone and learn how to be this new thing before she could be around her loved ones again. She manages to leave The Dome and lo and behold, Verity Vandeviere follows her out.

You see, once upon a time, Verity had been turned into a vampire against her will and her sister, Vivian, had manipulated him into turning her as well. Because she could never leave her sister alone in this world, for eternity. These parallels were hard to ignore, but Ruby ignored them anyway. As far as Ruby was concerned, they had a business arrangement. Verity would teach her how to be a vampire and Ruby would help her find Vivian, who had previously been captured by The Institute.

They move in together, the montage of research begins and after 6 months, they track down the last standing Institute with Vivian locked inside. They make it out to the Nevada desert, break into the Institute, and come face to face with the last living person there. Ruby tells them to leave or die- ‘ ‘Please don’t make me... let her (Verity) kill you’. They run. The only way to release Vivian is to release everyone, override the system completely. She didn’t know exactly what they had done when they did it, but she knew it wasn’t good.

With Vivian released, they return to the apartment to find Jordan Rickman waiting. Jordan tells Ruby to get in the damn car and put on her seat belt because they are going home. She agrees, telling Verity their arrangement is done- ‘The next time I see you, I’ll kill you’.

Ruby and Jordan have only just managed to sneak back into the Dome.

Wanted Connections

“In re-reading Dracula, we were surprised and intrigued by the boldness with which Stoker, a closeted gay man in Victorian England, plays with sexuality and gender norms,” says director/co-writer Gordon Greenberg. Co-writer Steve Rosen adds “we wanted to celebrate him and, at the same time, send up his moody, broody melodrama in the spirit of some of our comedic heroes like Charles Ludlam, Monty Python and Mel Brooks.” In regards to the New World Stages production, Greenberg continues, “We are so fortunate to have assembled an extraordinary company of top-notch comedic actors whose fearlessness and hilarity make the whole experience feel like a party. Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors was commissioned and originally produced by Maltz Jupiter Theatre (Andrew Kato, Producing Artistic Director/Chief Executive) in 2019. In 2020, it was adapted as a radio play for The Broadway Podcast Network with an all-star cast including Annaleigh Ashford, Laura Benanti, Alex Brightman, James Monroe Iglehart, Richard Kind, Rob McClure, Ashley Park, Christopher Sieber, and John Stamos. Productions followed at Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany and Segal Centre for Performing Arts in Montreal. Subhuman (chapter 1; part 2)

Summary: After realizing the danger Rory is in danger, Alexander decides to take matters into his own hands and do all he can to protect his new friends.

"V!" Alex yelled as he banged on the door, his concern growing as the night grew darker and colder. "Vitale! Open up!" he shouted before the sorcerer opened the door and scowled at the teen.

"Do you have any idea what time it is?"

"Fuck what time it is!" Alex yelled as he entered the house and showed V the picture, causing the goth to raise an eyebrow.

"This is a photo of a girl all alone. That concerns me, why?"

"Because she's at a vampire party and she's in danger!" Alex hissed, his eyebrows furrowed. "I can't take on that many vampires on my own and... and mom just went on a mission!"

"I'm not fighting anymore, Alexander." V said as Alex screamed in rage, electricity slowly beginning to surround him as his rage grew and the older man looked over him. "Your powers are extremely unstable."

"I have to fucking save them somehow!" he yelled as V sighed. "Are you going to help me or not?"

"Sounds like you need a loyal companion by your side." V said as the teenager stared at him. "Are you sure about this? This can't be undone..."

"I have to save my friends." he said before the sorcerer snapped his fingers and his spellbook appeared in his hand. It opened automatically to the spell as he began to recite it as Alex felt something clinging to him, rolling up the sleeve of his cloak as the ink slowly appeared on his arm and he held his hand up as the spell was finished, a small version of Shadow appearing in his hand.

"This Shadow is now bound to you forever. If anything happens to her, you will die," he said firmly as Alex's eyes widened. "I tried to warn you... you can't get something for nothing when it comes to demons."

"That's super comforting..." he grumbled, rolling back his sleeve before shaking his head. "You sure you can't help me?"

"I'm sorry." V said as Alex nodded and sighed.

"Thank you, then." he said before leaving the house. V watched him go to the door and watched the teenager drive off with a worried look, shaking his head with a small sigh.

"Just like Dante..." he muttered before walking back into the house and closing the door.

Alex sped down the street, his eyebrows furrowed, gripping the handlebars tighter as his worry grew. He followed the energy he could feel up into the hills before coming to the house and seeing an old red car already there. He drove down the driveway and gritted his teeth as he saw the vampires inside the house, swerving to the right and crashing through the window as a group of vampires screamed and looked over at the hunter as he stood up and took off his coat, revealing the tattoos on his left arm as Benny, Ethan and Sarah looked over at him in shock.

"About time you showed up." Jesse said with false joy, clearly angry at the hunter. "Wes told me you were weak!"

"Well, he's fucking dead!" Alex yelled, glaring at him. "And I'm going to fucking kill you myself!" he shouted before a group of vampires lunged at him and he released Shadow who quickly killed each vampire before lunging at Jesse and grabbing him. The vampire growled at him as they struggled against each other and stumbled out onto the back porch as Sarah ran to Benny and Ethan and stood with them.

"Don't you get it, Alex?!" Jesse yelled as the men struggled against each other. "We could be the greatest team this world has ever seen!"

"And murder humans?!"

"They're worthless meat! Your mother knew that!" Jesse yelled as Alex gritted his teeth and stumbled a little as Jesse pushed him towards the pool.

"You don't know anything about my mother!"

"I know she doesn't care about people like your fool of a father does!"

"Fuck you!" Alex screamed, smashing his head into his before the vampire collapsed and Alex ran back into the house as Sarah tried to fight off a group of vampires that had tried to stop them from leaving. "Rip them to shreds, Shadow!" he yelled as the demon roared and charged at them, attacking the vampires as he took a few deep breaths. "You guys go and take Rory with you," he said as Sarah looked at him worriedly. "I'll get Erica home safe."

"Are you sure?"

"Don't fucking question me, just go!" he shouted, electricity starting to grow around him as she stared at him before she nodded, realizing he couldn't control himself. They grabbed Rory and left the house as Alex attacked more vampires, screaming in rage, breaking a chair and using its arm to kill the vampires around him as they tried to fight him.

He felt a much stronger power growing within him as the remaining vampires stared at him, seeming to sense it as well as they began to retreat. He screamed as he fought it before Shadow returned to the ink and it seemed to settle as he took a few deep breaths and looked down at his arm before he looked at Erica and ran over to her, kneeling beside her. She was still alive, just clearly dazed as he grabbed his coat and put it back on before picking up his motorcycle and walking over to her, carrying her to the bike and sitting on it before laying her down in front of him, making sure she wasn't hurt before he started to drive. He rode down the road as she stared up at him, smiling softly and putting a hand on his chest as he concentrated on riding.

He clenched his jaw as he realized that his powers really were too unstable and he didn't know how to deal with it. It seemed that Shadow's power was keeping him in check, but he worried that if he had to release it again, how long he'd have before he basically became a ticking time bomb. Erica, on the other hand, was busy admiring him, never noticing how attractive he really was. She always assumed it was just the fact that he had muscles that made the girls around her gossip about how attractive the Redgrave boy was. But that wasn't the only thing about him that made him attractive... he was one of the few really nice people in town, although people would be nice just for the sake of it, Alex was just genuinely nice to almost everyone he met.

But it was hard to deny that he was handsome. He looked almost exactly like Dante, had the same features as him, only he didn't have as many wrinkles. He was like Dante if he were younger. He also had a certain charisma about him that everyone but him seemed to see, especially considering that he always claimed to have no self-confidence. It was only natural for the Sparda bloodline.

Alex stopped at Erica's house and turned off the motorcycle, removing the keys from the ignition before helping her to her feet, making sure she could stand on her own as she was still dazed.

"My parents aren't home...do you want to come in?" the blonde asked as he raised an eyebrow at her, shocked at the offer.

"Really...?" he asked quietly as she nodded and smiled at him.

"I won't bite." she assured him, taking his hand in hers as she led him to the house and he followed, not even thinking twice as they walked inside.

Alex rubbed his forehead as he woke up, groaning softly as he came to and realized he wasn't in his own bed. He knew this because he had Killer Klowns from Outerspace sheets, and these were not his sheets. He pushed the sheets away before he realized he was naked, his eyes widening as he remembered what had happened the night before.

He sat up and screamed as he saw Erica finishing her makeup and covered himself with the blanket as the blonde looked at him and laughed a little.

"Don't worry, I saw everything." she assured him as he stared at her in shock.

"We actually..." he mumbled softly, realizing he wasn't a virgin anymore as he stared at her.

"Yes, we did." she said with a smile. "And you did wonderfully."

"I- I did...?" he asked, blinking in shock before looking around and finding his clothes on the floor as he grabbed them and began to put them on, pulling on his boxers and jeans before looking at her.

"Leaving so soon?" she teased as he laughed nervously and nodded.

"My mom's probably worried about me." he said before she hummed and patted his back before he pulled on his shirt and grabbed his coat, putting his shoes back on.

"Just so you know, that meant nothing." she said as he looked at her and nodded.

"Right... just people... who slept together..."

"Exactly." she said, winking at him. "Besides, Jesse wants me to be his girlfriend." she added and he frowned a little, tilting his head.

"Oh... well, okay." he said before shrugging and leaving the room, making the blonde's eyes widen as she realized he didn't even care. She scoffed a little as he left the house, pulling his coat back on as he made his way to the motorcycle and got on. He started it and rode down the street to the office, sighing a little, a smile coming to his face as the shock finally wore off and he realized what he'd just done.

He felt like one of the coolest guys in the world at that moment as he concentrated on driving, laughing a little as he pulled into the garage and got off the bike, heading into the office before stopping when he saw V standing by the desk, looking at the things on it before looking at the teen.

"There you are." he said as Alex stared at him for a moment, raising an eyebrow.

"What's up, V?"

"Well... I came to check on you, but you were missing..." the goth said, leaning a little on his cane as Alex tilted his head. Even though the sorcerer had much more power now that he had his own vessel and all, he still kept the cane and used it just for the fact that it had magical properties and could kill just about any supernatural being. "Did you have fun?"

"What are you talking about?"

"You're disheveled and you look very proud of yourself." V said bluntly as the teen frowned. "I hope you at least used protection..."

"Of course." he snarled, growing increasingly annoyed at the thought of having to reveal matters of his sex life to his uncle.

"You really shouldn't be having sex at your age." V commented as the teenager groaned. "I'm just worried. Your dad couldn't keep it in his pants either."

"Neither could you!" he exclaimed before he sighed. "Well... you know... before you got your own vessel..."

"I'm well aware of that." he said as Alex frowned.

"Vergil was about sixteen when he got a lady of Fortuna pregnant!"

"And that doesn't mean you should follow in my footsteps!" V shouted as Alex hesitated a bit, shocked that he raised his voice as V was usually very soft spoken. "Don't be a fool and get a girl pregnant."

"I won't." Alex assured him with a heavy sigh. "I'd rather not have to raise a child when I basically have to raise myself." he said bitterly before heading to his room and walking up the stairs as V watched him and sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"I'll stay until your parents get back." he said as Alex stopped and looked down at him. "I know you don't like to be alone and... well, your father and Lady are in Fortuna."

"What?!" Alex shouted, his eyes widening as V nodded.

"They're helping out there. Some nasty business with the Yamato and a hybrid." he said as Alex frowned.

"Could it be your son...?"

"I think so." V confirmed, looking at the teen. "I don't know who he is. I never... got any news from the woman I..." he trailed off before Alex went down the stairs to meet the other man again. "If it is my son... I know Dante will protect him."

"My cousin is in Fortuna?"

"Yes." V nodded, sighing softly. "We both know Vergil would never care for him... so I hope when this is over I can meet him and hopefully make things right."

"We lived in Fortuna when I was a baby..." Alex mumbled, shaking his head a little. "That's when Nico met us and she became my godmother..."

"It will not be destroyed, I promise you." V assured him, putting a hand on the teen's shoulder. "You should get dressed for school. I'll bring you lunch."

"Thanks V..." he said with a small smile before walking away and quickly heading up to his room, pausing when he saw the same man from his afterlife experience examining the room with clear judgment. Alex's room was clean, but it was full of posters from shows and movies he loved, as well as several Dragon Ball Z figurines and a Sailor Venus figurine that Lady had bought him when he was little. "Metatron," he said as the angel turned to him and Alex stepped in, closing the door. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to check on you," he said before looking around the room in disbelief. "You have a... unique room."

"I'm a teenager. What did you expect?" the teen said with a raised eyebrow as the angel nodded and hummed. "Why are you watching over me?"

"God has asked me personally to watch over you."

"I won't become a murderer like my mother..."

"We know... but we fear she has her eye on you," he said as the teen frowned. "You are a very rare type of Nephilim, Alexander. There hasn't been a nephilim from an archangel and a demon in over three hundred years... and if Ophiel succeeds in making you one..." he trailed off, shaking his head. "You have the potential to either save the world or destroy it."

"So dear mother only wants me because I can do her bidding?" Alex said bitterly, shaking his head as he scoffed. "Well, she won't force me to do anything... I swore to protect humanity and that's what I'm going to do."

Alex walked down the halls of Whitechapel High, concentrating on where he was going, his eyebrows furrowing as he noticed people staring at him. His once black shoulder-length hair was now white and he had tattoos on his left arm, both of which definitely drew more attention to one of the tallest kids in the school. But what caught his attention even more was the fact that the girls looked at him a lot more than before, some even waved or complimented him, and it confused him.

He was still the same geek he was the day before, he just looked a little different. He didn't understand why anyone would look at him differently just because he had white hair and tattoos. He walked over to Ethan's locker and leaned against the one right next to his, while the shorter teen looked at him and laughed.

"You look stressed."

"I wasn't until I got here." Alex admitted, looking at his shorter companion. "Dude, the chicks are obsessed with me."

"I heard someone say you look like a hotter version of Andy Sixx..." Ethan shrugged, his eyebrows furrowed. "Whoever that is."

"Andy Sixx is a god." Alex said as the brunette snorted. "Do I really look that good?" he asked, pulling out his phone to look at himself with furrowed brows. "I still look like the same loser I always have..."

"Dude, you're being way too hard on yourself." Ethan shook his head. "Girls like you because you're charismatic and nice."

"I thought girls liked bad boys."

"Not all girls." Sarah commented as she joined the teens and they looked at her. "Some girls like nice guys." she added as Alex laughed a little.

"I don't know how nice I could be..." he admitted, shaking his head as Ethan looked at him. "I mean, I slept with Erica."

"Dude, what?!" the brunette smiled at him as the taller teen nodded and smiled.

"It was actually great," he admitted before Sarah smacked his arm and he grimaced and looked at her. "What the hell?!"

"You're going to brag about sleeping with my best friend?!" she yelled, glaring at him as he shrugged.

"I'm not bragging about it." he looked at her confused.

"What's wrong with you?!"

"You're acting like I fuckin' cheated on you." Alex said, frowning as he stood up straight and looked at her as her eyes widened. "Sarah, I'm sorry, but whatever we had isn't..." he trailed off and sighed, shaking his head. "I can't be with you."

"What makes you think I want to be with you?" she said irritably as he shrugged.

"I'm just saying I can't be with you," he said as she started to hit him again, but he grabbed her hand and made her stop. "Stop fucking hitting me!" he snapped, letting her go as she glared at him before storming off as he sighed heavily and rubbed the back of his neck as Ethan watched her, frowning a little.

"That was hard to watch..." he muttered, looking back at the emo beside him as he nodded.

"It was harder to live," he muttered, shaking his head. "Well... at least hopefully she shouldn't have any feelings for me."

"Seriously, you don't have to do this for me." he said, but he shrugged and looked at him.

"I don't want to take that chance away from you," he said before smiling a little. "Besides, she'd be much happier with you." he added as the shorter teen smiled in return.

"You really think so?"

"Yeah. Even if she is a fledgling, she's still a normal girl and she doesn't need a normal guy..." he gestured to himself before he sighed. "Some idiot devil hunter."

"Guess who has two thumbs and got a date with Stacey Karlie?" Benny said with a big smile as both teens looked at him.

"Dude, fuck yeah!" Alex exclaimed, giving him a high five as Ethan looked at the teen with concern.

"Are you sure dating is a good idea, Benny?" he asked as he nodded.

"Uh, yeah."

"It's not that big of a deal, E." Alex shrugged before patting his arm. His eyes widened as Ethan got a vision and his eyes went white as Alex stared at him worriedly, grabbing his shoulders as the brunette came back. He'd only ever met one other seer and she had gone insane from what she'd seen and had unfortunately taken her own life. He didn't want that to happen to Ethan. "Dude, what did you see?"

"You... turned into a giant thing and... and attacked... something..." he explained as the teenager sighed and swore softly. "Alex, what's going on?"

"My powers are unstable... which means I really am a fucking ticking time bomb."

"Meaning what?" Benny asked worriedly.

"I won't be able to control myself if my inner devil comes out."

"Alexander." V said as he approached the teens sitting on the bench together, holding a bag from one of Alex's favorite sandwich shops downtown.

"Hell yeah! Thanks, V." he said with a big smile as he stood up and grabbed the bag. V looked at the teens before looking back at Alex.

"Are these your friends?" he asked and the teen nodded.

"Yes. This is J.J., Ethan and Benny," he said as he nodded to the group of boys. "This is my Uncle Vitale."

"Your family is so cool." Benny said as they stared at the sorcerer with wide eyes.

"I got to go. I have some things to do at the office." V said, patting Alex's arm as the teen nodded.

"Right. Take care, V." he said before the man walked away and Alex returned to the bench as Ethan looked over at Alex.

"You two have similar tattoos..." he said as Alex nodded.

"Yeah, well Vitale used to be bound to demons too... but unfortunately they were killed," he said as the teens looked at him. "I remember them all well. The Nightmare always scared me, but I like the Shadow that V had... she was really kind to me."

"Your Shadow is terrifying." Benny muttered while the emo giggled and smiled at him.

"That's because you've only seen her in action... but she'll have to stay in ink for now, unless there's an emergency, until my powers aren't so unstable." he said with a furrowed brow as Ethan looked at him worriedly.

"Do you think what happened in my vision is really going to happen?" he asked quietly as Alex looked over at him.

"I've only ever known one other seer... and she was never wrong." he said as Ethan perked up.

"Really? Do you know where she is?"

"Uh..." Alex rubbed his neck. "In the ground..." he mumbled as the teens stared at him with wide eyes. "She went crazy and took her own life because she couldn't deal with the things she saw... it was just before the Red Grave incident..."

"That was when the demon attacked the town, right?" Benny asked while the emo nodded and took out his sandwich, taking a bite before speaking again.

"I was there. I saw everything firsthand." he admitted, eating his food while the two brunettes sitting on either side of him stared at him in shock as J.J. laughed.

"Alex fought Urizen himself." he added as the emo rolled his eyes.

"No, I didn't. He's lying." he scoffed, looking at the ginger with annoyance. "I was twelve, I couldn't have taken on Vergil at that age."

"Vergil?!" Benny yelled, surprising the three teenagers next to him.

"Yeah... he and dad are twins." Alex said with a shrug.

"Dude! He's one of the most notorious demons out there!"

"He's actually half human, half demon."

"I know, but still!"

"Wait... I didn't know that Dante and Vergil had another brother." Ethan said, looking at Alex as he laughed a little.

"Vitale used to be Vergil's human half because he separated V and Urizen. But after V and Urizen were reunited, Vitale was left behind in his own vessel." he explained, shrugging a little. "Since Vergil is never around and doesn't care about any of us, we just sort of adopted him into the family."

"That's amazing..." Ethan muttered, smiling at the teenager next to him.

"Hey, Alex." an older girl said as Alex looked up at her and smiled a little, waving at her. She waved back and gave him a wink before continuing on with her friends, while Benny looked at the emo next to him.

"Dude... that was Gina Kay..." he whispered as Alex looked over at him. "She's like one of the most popular girls at this school!"

"What? She just said hi..." Alex mumbled as the guys looked at him in disbelief.

"She was flirting with you!" Ethan hissed as Alex's eyes widened.

"She was?!"

"Yes!" J.J. said as Alex looked over at the teen before handing his sandwich to Ethan and quickly getting up to run after Gina as the boys watched him go.

"Gina!" he called as the teen turned to look at him, smiling when she realized it was him. "Do you want to go out sometime?" he asked as she nodded, clutching her binder to her chest.

"Yeah... I got two tickets to the premiere of Dusk Three. Would you like to come?" she asked and he nodded a little.

"Yeah, sure. I'll pick you up." he said before she put a hand on his chest and stood on her tiptoes before he leaned down a little so she could kiss his cheek.

"See you at seven." she said as he watched her catch up with her friends, gently rubbing his cheek as he smiled softly.

"Mr. Smooth makes his move." J.J. joked as the trio of boys joined him.

"You just got yourself a date with Gina Kay!" Benny exclaimed, shaking Alex as he nodded and smiled at him before Ethan handed his sandwich back, which the taller teen took, smiling even more.

"Thanks," he said, taking a bite before Rory appeared in front of them as the hunter chuckled. "Wassup, lil dude?"

"Wassup?!" he said excitedly as Ethan and Benny rolled their eyes. "Guess who is now the coolest guy in the whole school?!"

"Why? Because you can fly and have fangs?" J.J. joked as the blonde nodded.

"Actually Alex is, because he has a date with Gina Kay." Benny explained as the blonde looked at him in shock.

"What?! That's so cool!"

"We're going to the Dawn premiere." Alex shrugged as the teens walked back to the bench.

"Dusk." J.J. corrected as Alex shrugged.

"Oh, we're going to the premiere too!" Rory said with a smile as the other teens looked at him in confusion.

"Who's 'we' Rory?" Ethan asked and the blonde shrugged his shoulders.

"Jesse and the others."

"You're going out with Gina Kay?!" Erica yelled as she approached Alex, who looked over at her in confusion and closed his locker. "You can't go out with her!"

"What? Why not?" he asked with a furrowed brow before she grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer.

"Because I won't let you!" she hissed before he made her let go of him.

"Hey, you were the one who said that what we did meant nothing." he shrugged as she glared at him.

"You're a jerk, Alexander Redgrave!" she yelled, slapping his chest as he grimaced slightly.

"I think the word you're looking for is 'dick.'" Alex shouted as she walked away, shouting in anger as he sighed and shook his head.

"What was that?" Ethan asked laughing as Alex shrugged.

"I don't know... Erica's acting crazy."

"Maybe she has a crush on you." Benny joked and the teen chuckled and shrugged.

"Well... she shouldn't have said it meant nothing."

"It?" Benny repeated as Ethan looked at him.

"Alex and Erica slept together." he said as the brunette's eyes widened and he laughed.

"Dude!" he exclaimed, high-fiving the taller teen as Alex laughed. "That's awesome!"

"Alex, we need your help." Ethan said as the hunter nodded and looked at him. "Rory helped us find out that Jesse is looking for something called the Cubile Animus... we need to get it before he does."

"I've heard of the Cubile Animus..." Alex muttered, his eyebrows furrowed. "It translates to 'nest of souls'. It has the ability to collect souls and resurrect the dead... though like anything that can resurrect the dead, it doesn't bring back the actual soul. It only brings back the body... leaving it the perfect vessel for a demon to take hold of." he explained as Benny stared at him with wide eyes.

"How the hell...?"

"He's a hunter, dude." Ethan nudged him before looking at Alex. "Can you help us?"

"If Jesse's doing what I think he's doing, yes."

"What do you think he's doing?" Benny asked, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Reviving his little vampire army."

"Hey." Sarah said as she joined the trio of boys, causing them to look at her as she placed a hand gently on Alex's shoulder.

"Rory says they're looking for the Cuban animals." Benny said, rolling his eyes as Alex sighed.

"Cubile Animus." he corrected as Sarah frowned.

"Wait- Cubile Animus? I- I've heard Jesse mention it."

"Nest of souls. It can capture the souls of people and resurrect the dead without the power to do so." Alex said as she looked at him worriedly. Ethan put his hand on Sarah's shoulder, causing him to have a vision as Alex looked at him with concern, and set a hand on his back when the vision ended.

"219..." he murmured as the group looked at the vampires.

"Is that it?" Sarah asked before Alex frowned.

"Shit..."

"Alex, you can take them, right?" Benny asked as the hunter sighed.

"No. There are too many and releasing Shadow would be too dangerous."

"Well, we still have this vampire repellent!" he said, moving too fast and getting holy water on both Alex and Sarah, causing them both to scream in pain. Alex quickly looked at the vampires before wrapping his arms around the trio and teleporting them to the street as they all looked around.

"Holy shit..."

"You can teleport?!" Ethan asked in surprise, smiling at the taller teen.

"Apparently..." he murmured before they all started walking. "You said a number... what do you think it means, E?"

"I don't know yet..." he admitted, looking up at him. "But when I do, I'll let you know."

"Maybe Trish will!" Alex said before grimacing. "Except..."

"She's in Fortuna." Benny sighed and shook his head.

"What about V?" Sarah suggested as Alex sighed.

"Uncle Vitale doesn't know much about such things. The Cubile Animus was created eons ago by some sort of cult that used it to resurrect certain kinds of creatures. It's something that's a byproduct of the Underworld, or what you know as Hell," he explained, shaking his head. "Trish is a demon born in Hell. She's kind of our inside informant to the Underworld, helping people like Bobby Singer and the Winchesters."

"Like... Sam and Dean Winchester?" Ethan asked. "I-I thought they were just book characters!"

"Nope. They're real people, and John Winchester has even helped dad and mom on several occasions," he explained with a shrug. "I mean, the last time he helped mom, she almost blew his head off... because John Winchester just...kind of has that effect on people."

"Is he a bad guy?" Benny asked nervously as Alex laughed.

"The last time I saw him I was ten, so I don't remember much. He's not a bad guy, just... impulsive and abrasive. Mom is too, so they always butt heads as far as I remember." he shrugged. "A lot of hunters are... you kind of learn to bite people so they don't bark at you. Most hunters are good people, and we're a tight-knit community, but you can never be too safe."

"Sounds like being a hunter is hard work." Ethan sighed and crossed his arms.

"It is. But we protect people, and that's always been the main priority." Alex smiled. "Like John always said; saving people, hunting things. It's the family business, for both the Winchesters and the Sparda bloodline." he looked at Ethan as the seer smiled a little himself.

"Do you know where John is now? I mean, maybe he can help us!" Sarah said while Alex sighed.

"I'd have to get in touch with Sam somehow... but Trish knows the numbers and I can't call Fortuna, it's way too far out of range to even reach with a phone." he admitted.

"Maybe we can find it!" Benny said while Ethan nodded.

"Maybe... but let's save that for a last resort. I'm pretty sure they're busy right now."

"Right." Ethan sighed as Alex went to his bike.

"Look, I'll catch up with you guys later. I have to go to the grocery store. V and I are making dinner together tonight." he said as Sarah and the boys smiled.

"Say hi to your uncle for me." she said as he nodded and got on, starting the bike before riding off.

"There you are." Gina said with a smile as Alex stopped the bike and looked over at her with a smile. She walked over to him before he pulled a helmet out of the side bag and handed it to her as she put it on, laughing softly, and got on behind him.

"Hold on tight." he said as she wrapped her arms around him and put her face on his shoulder as he started to ride. He made sure not to go nearly as fast as he usually did, since he could survive a crash, but she most likely couldn't. He pulled up in front of the Westdale Theater and turned off the bike, removing the keys from the ignition as she got off and took off her helmet, smiling at him.

"I've never ridden a motorcycle before." she admitted as they walked to the theater and showed their tickets before heading inside. Alex saw Benny and gave him a small nod before they walked up to the counter.

"We'll take a large popcorn, a box of Whoppers and a box of Nerds," he said as he looked over at Gina. "What kind of soda do you want?" he asked, putting a hand on her back.

"Oh... I'll have a medium Coke." she said as the teenager behind the counter nodded and smiled.

"And a large root beer for me." he said as she prepared everything for them and set it down. He took out his wallet and paid for it before handing Gina her drink and candy before picking up the rest of the money and walking into the theater with her. They found their seats and sat down as Alex rested the popcorn bucket on his lap and sighed, looking up at the vampires standing in front of the screen as he put an arm around Gina's shoulders. She leaned against him and smiled a little.

"This is nice." she said as he looked down at her, smiling a little, hiding how worried he really was. She leaned up and planted a soft kiss on his lips as he returned it, holding her a little closer as they kissed.

"Welcome," Erica began as the audience began to cheer and clap. Alex broke the kiss and looked at the screen, raising an eyebrow as Gina sat back in her seat and smiled. "To the special screening of Dusk 3: Unbitten," the blonde continued as Alex looked at Jesse who had clearly sensed his presence and was looking at him. "When you see what's in store for you tonight... well..." the blonde trailed off and smiled. "You'll just die." When she finished, Alex shifted a little in his seat and looked over at the brunette beside him.

"I have to go to the bathroom." he whispered as she nodded and smiled. He slipped out of the theater and pulled out his phone, dialing V's number as he looked back inside to see what was going on when the phone rang. "Come on, V... please pick up..." he begged, watching as Jesse bit a girl and she collapsed to the floor.

"Hello?" V said as Alex let out a sigh of relief as Ethan walked over to him.

"Vitale, we have a serious problem at the Westdale Theater," he said, shaking his head as he looked back into the theater. "I know you said you aren't fighting anymore, but... you were right. My powers are unstable and I can't do this alone... I... I need your help..." he said the last part more quietly, as if he was ashamed to ask for help. He was the son of a legendary devil hunter, he shouldn't have to ask for help and yet... he needed it.

"I'll be there as soon as I can." V said before hanging up and the boys entered the theater.

"Fire...! Fire!" Ethan shouted, causing panic in some of the people around them before Alex spoke up.

"There's a fire in the screening room!" Alex shouted louder, causing more panic as people stood up and Gina ran to Alex and grabbed his arm.

"Alex, what's going on?!" she asked nervously as he looked down at her.

"I'm sorry... but you need to go home." he said quietly, urging her to follow the crowd as she reluctantly did, leaving the theater as people pushed past him.

"There's no fire!" Jesse yelled, trying to calm everyone down before a vampire lunged at Alex and he punched him in the jaw and kicked him as hard as he could as the vampire flew across the room and crashed into the seats. He grabbed another vampire and smashed his head into his, knocking him out for a bit.

"There's a fire! Everybody out!" Alex yelled as more people ran out of the theater.

"Alexander!" V yelled, throwing Alex a new gun he'd never seen before. It was a silver double-action revolver with a marble grip and his name engraved on it. "Nico made this for you. I paid for it in full, so enjoy your new weapon," he said as Alex grinned and shot a few vampires, watching them disintegrate as his eyes widened.

"Holy shit! This fucking gun is awesome!" he yelled, shooting down more vampires that came too close. V stood beside Alex, effortlessly taking down several vampires himself, killing them with the unassuming cane he always carried.

"This is getting boring." V growled, casting a spell that disintegrated a large group of vampires around them as Ethan looked over at the wizard with wide eyes.

"You could have done that the whole time?"

"I could have." V confirmed before looking at the teen and smiling. "But what fun would that have been?"

"Forgive him. He hasn't had a real fight for two years." Alex said with a smile. "We have to protect Sarah. The vampires want her dead more than the humans." he said as V nodded and the three of them ran down the hallway to catch up. Benny charged at the vampire in front of her but was knocked out before Alex ran at him and jumped on his back, making him scream as the hunter growled and attacked him, about to hit him when Erica kicked him in the face and he crashed to the ground.

"Alex!" Sarah yelled as Ethan and V stood in front of her to protect her. Erica picked Alex up and threw him across the room as he slammed into the wall and dropped his gun, grimacing as he tried to concentrate but everything was spinning. She walked over to him and grabbed his gun, looking at it with a grin.

"If I shot you with this... you'd die, wouldn't you?" she asked as he looked up at her, blood running down his face as he stared at her.

"You wouldn't..." he said weakly as she aimed it at him.

"Wouldn't I?" she scoffed. "You're in the way!"

"Alexander!" V yelled as he ran over and stood in front of him. Erica pulled the trigger just as V got in the way and the man collapsed as Alex stared at him with wide eyes, tears beginning to form as he stared at the man on the ground before he forced himself to his feet and grabbed the vampire, struggling with her as she screamed and tried to keep the gun away from him before he ripped it from her hands and pointed it at her. Her eyes widened as she stared fearfully at him, too afraid to move as she stared at him, hoping he wouldn't pull the trigger.

"Alex! Please don't!" Sarah screamed as she tried to run past Ethan but he held her back so she wouldn't get hurt. Alex's eyebrows furrowed as he looked over at them before he looked back at Erica, gritting his teeth as he struggled with what to do.

"Killing her... won't..." V started weakly as Alex looked at him, staring down at the man. "Make you... feel better..." he finished, coughing blood as the teenager looked back at the blonde in front of him, tears beginning to stream down his cheeks as his hand began to shake before he lowered the gun, letting out a weak sob as one of the vampires grabbed Erica and left with her. Alex dropped the gun and knelt beside V, pulling him into his lap as he tried to slow the bleeding, pressing his hand against the wound.

"Vitale..." Alex whispered, his voice shaking as the man smiled at him. "This is my fault... I knew you... you didn't want to fight... but..."

"No..." V said softly, gently taking his hand as Alex held on to him, his lip quivering as he stared at the man. "I'm... glad I got to fight with you..." he whispered, taking a shaky breath. "I'm... proud..." he said before his voice trailed off and he went limp, his hand slipping from Alex's as the teenager sobbed harder, pulling the man closer as he shook his head.

"P-please don't..." he whimpered, holding him close as he cried. "Please!"

"Alex, we have to get Jesse..." Sarah said softly, putting her hand on his shoulder as he pulled away from her.

"Go without me!" he yelled, looking at her as she stared at him with a worried expression. "I'm not... I'm not leaving him!"

"He's dead..."

"No, he's not! He can't be!" he cried, looking back at V as he sobbed, shaking him a little before he started crying harder. "Please don't leave me!" he cried before Sarah finally made him let go. He pulled away from her and leaned over V's body, sobbing helplessly as she looked back at Ethan, who watched him sadly.

"We should go... leave him alone..." he said quietly, but she shook her head.

"We can't leave him here! What if someone attacks him?"

"Sarah, he's grieving..." he said as they both looked back at Alex sobbing into V's chest. "We have to stop Jesse... with or without Alex." he said as she looked at the younger teen.

"Vitale... please..." Alex whispered shakily, lifting his head to look at the man in his arms. He whimpered as he tried to shake him again, sobbing. "Talk to me... please, talk to me...!"

"Alex, please. We have to go!" Sarah said frantically, grabbing his arm. "V protected you because he loved you... I know it's hard, but... he's gone..."

"Just go..." he whimpered, looking at her as she knelt beside him. "I... I can't..."

"Yes, you can." she said as he shook his head, whimpering. "Would V want you to give up?" she asked as he looked up at her.

"No..." he whispered as she put a hand on his back. "You're... you're right... more people will die if we don't stop Jesse..." he murmured, looking back at V before slowly raising a hand to his face and gently closing his eyes. He leaned down to plant a soft kiss on his forehead before standing up and taking a deep breath. "You guys get out of here... I'll get Benny..." he murmured as Ethan nodded. They left the theater as Alex ran over to Benny and picked him up, carrying him out of the theater and to the car as he looked over at Sarah, seeing her slumped over in pain as he put Benny in the front seat. "Are you okay?" he asked, looking at Sarah.

"I can't... I'm in too much pain."

"We can't leave you here!" Ethan said when she looked up at him.

"Go!" she shouted before he ran to the car. He and Alex got into the car as the hunter leaned against his knees, trying to fight back the tears that threatened to fall, wiping his face again as he sniffled and clenched his jaw, while Ethan looked back at him remorsefully.

"I'm so sorry, Alex..." he said softly as the teen looked up at him. "I know... how much he meant to you."

"I never should have asked him to come... this is my fault..."

"No, it's not." Ethan assured him. "None of this is your fault."

"V didn't want to fight anymore for a reason... and I ignored that reason because I'm too weak..." he said as the shorter teen frowned.

They stopped near Ethan's house and Alex quickly got out, searching himself to find that he didn't have his revolver with him. He swore as they approached the tree and Ethan sighed.

"I always liked that tree..." he said quietly before Jesse approached them.

"Funny how they name streets after the things they tore down to build them," he said, stepping out of the shadows as Alex held an arm out in front of Ethan, afraid of losing another person. "This used to be an orchard before your idiot ancestors burned my flock alive."

"Yeah? Well..." Ethan began as Alex kept his eyes on Jesse. "I say your only mistake was not finishing the job!" he yelled as Alex nodded in agreement, causing the vampire to laugh in amusement at his bravery.

"You made me miss my target, but that's okay," he said, holding up the Cubile Animus. "I still have enough Dusker souls to resurrect a few dozen of the strongest vampires that ever lived," he continued, grinning at the teens. "And you two can be a midnight snack." he said before using his powers to force Alex to his knees, knowing that he was the only one who could really hurt him. Alex grimaced as he struggled against the vampire's strong powers as Ethan pulled out the dagger and prepared to attack Jesse when the vampire threw him back with a burst of energy. Alex looked back at him and screamed in anger as electricity began to form around him.

"I... will..." he said through gritted teeth as the vampire looked at him with amusement. "Watch you... suffer!" Alex screamed as the electricity grew brighter and he slowly began to stand up as Jesse struggled to hold him down, grimacing as he watched the teenager fight back against his power. Alex began to scream as Benny ran towards them, jumping onto Jesse's back as he screamed, throwing the teen off of him. He accidentally tackled Ethan as they all looked at Alex, watching as the ground began to shake and the ground beneath his feet began to crack from the power emanating from him.

Alex screamed louder as he began to rapidly shift between three different forms, struggling to keep him at bay as Jesse stepped back from him, staring at him in shock as he realized what he really was. He had assumed that Alexander was the same as Dante, but a human hybrid could never have this kind of power. Alex let out an almost animalistic scream as he finally transformed into an angelic form, a great explosion of light causing everyone to cover their eyes as the dust around Alex slowly dissipated and he looked at Jesse who was staring at him with wide eyes.

"Nephilim..." he said as he stared at the teenager in amazement. Alex released two large feathered wings from his back as Benny and Ethan stared at him in shock, both completely speechless as they saw what he really was beneath the human disguise he wore. The wings spread as Alex looked back at them before he looked at Jesse.

"You're dead." he growled, charging at him as he used his wings to move even faster before grabbing the man and slamming him into another tree as he lost his grip on the box, allowing Ethan to grab it before Jesse managed to push Alex off him. Sarah jumped on him and he growled, pinning her to a tree by her throat as Alex got to his feet.

"I've got your friends in a box!" Ethan yelled, holding up the Cubile Animus.

"And I have your babysitter!" Jesse retorted. "Give me the Cubile Animus or she dies!" he yelled before Alex summoned the Ultimatum and shot him several times, causing the vampire to scream and drop Sarah as she looked at Alex.

"I'll take you to hell myself!" Alex yelled, walking over to Jesse as he looked up at the Nephilim, his eyes widening as he saw the Rebellion in his hands. Ethan opened the box as the souls all flew out and attacked Jesse, making him scream in pain before Alex raised the Rebellion and sliced through him, watching as the souls dragged him down and Ethan closed the box, looking at Alex as he returned to his human form, his body giving out from the stress he'd been through as Sarah ran to his side and caught him before he hit the ground as the others ran over to check on him.

Alex sat by the grave, staring at it, his eyebrows furrowed as he finally came to terms with the fact that Vitale was dead, which meant he had to suffer the loss of another person he loved. He felt his lip quiver again as he tried to fight back the tears, letting out a small sob as Sarah placed a hand on his shoulder as she, Ethan, Jane, their parents, Benny and his grandmother, and J.J. stood with him. He finally let the tears fall as he began to sob as Sarah knelt beside him, wrapping her arms around him as he leaned into her and sobbed. She held him as he cried, letting him get it out while offering any kind of emotional support she could.

When the funeral was over, everyone else left, but Alex stayed because he just couldn't leave. He stared at the photo board that had been made for V, all the photos of him and the family... it was hard at first, but after a while they all accepted him as one of their own. He was the only stable adult role model Alex had, since Dante, Lady and Trish were always running off on missions, leaving him all alone. Alex was almost always alone until V came along. Now... he felt more alone than ever.

Alex felt someone approaching and turned around to see none other than Sam Winchester walking up, dressed in a suit. Alex wiped his face again as he started to cry again. Sam stopped beside him as they both looked at the grave, the older hunter sighing softly and placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry, Alexander..." he said gently, looking at the teen. "I know how hard it is to lose someone you love."

"It should have been me..." Alex whispered, sniffling a little as the brunette sighed and looked down. "I was the one she was aiming at, but V stepped in and... and now he's..."

"It's not your fault." Sam assured him, patting him on the shoulder. "There was nothing you could have done."

"I should have stopped them sooner..." Alex whimpered before Sam pulled the teen into a hug, holding him close as Alex slowly returned the hug, burying his face in the older hunter's shoulder.

"I know it's hard, but you're going to be okay." Sam assured him, rubbing his back as Alex let out a few weak sobs. Sam pulled away and handed him a piece of paper with some numbers on it. "Call me or Dean if you ever need us... okay?" he said as Alex nodded and sniffled.

"Okay..."

There’s no denying it. Cas is the sexiest person at this costume party.

Dean has hardly been able to take his eyes off of him. The angel is practically glowing—not literally this time—in his costume, beaming as he stops to speak with Garth, hovering by the drinks. His smile is just infectious, with the creases at his eyes and the irresistible crinkle of his nose. And if that wasn’t already enough to knock the breath out of Dean, the black jeans he’s wearing certainly are.

Dean hadn’t anticipated this when Jack had begged them for a costume party after their Halloween was spent fighting actual monsters instead of dressing up as one. And once word had spread, a surprising number of their hunter friends had shown up, apparently having had the same experience.

At first it was just Jody and Donna and the girls who had been invited at Jack’s very insistent request.

Claire and Kaia were werewolves. While Kaia’s costume still has the Party City tag on the back, Claire’s was definitely handmade and incredibly accurate. Jody had just shrugged in her Despicable Me minion overalls—matching with Donna—when Dean gave her a questioning look. “She thought it’d be ironic. I’m just glad Alex and Patience got their vampire costumes at Party City, too.”

Word eventually got out to Garth, and he hadn’t even hesitated to load up Bess and the twins in their matching Addams Family costumes and drive over.

So they’re having a costume party. In November.

And Dean is thriving. He’s one beer and way too many pieces of candy into the evening, surrounded by people he loves, and he’s dressed up as a freaking cowboy. His stirrups clink as he practically bounces in his cowboy boots, tipping his hat at the compliments his costume earns. And he’s already mastered the twang on his howdy. Needless to say, it’s a hit.

But despite how great his cowboy getup is, his costume isn’t the best one tonight.

That award goes to Cas. Obviously.

Dean keeps catching the angel off to the side, hooking a finger in the belt loop of those tight pants, and tugging him in for a classic dark-corner-of-the-party make out session. He nearly lost his hat during the last round, knocked off of his head by Cas’s fingers winding in his hair. Totally worth it.

Because, as previously stated, Cas is the sexiest person here.

“Will you please stop saying that?” Sam says, exasperated as he sneaks another piece of candy in the pocket of his Han Solo vest, “He is dressed up as a bee. A bee, Dean.”

“Yeah, I know, Sam. I have eyes.”

And Dean is certainly making good use of them, scanning over the angel from across the room. Cas is helping Claire fix her costume makeup and fangs, turned so his back is facing them, so it’s a good view. “It should be illegal for him to walk around like that.”

It’s a good thing they’re not at a bar for this because Dean would be spending the whole night fighting people off his boyfriend. In the safety of the bunker, he can just enjoy the view.

“Like what?” Sam frowns, taking another sip of his drink. “He’s literally just a middle-aged white guy in a striped sweater.”

“I know, man. And it’s a cropped sweater. It’s awesome.”

Earlier, Cas’s sweater slipped off one of his shoulders and Dean nearly blacked out. And when he had reached up to help hang some of the orange Halloween lights around the bunker? Well, Dean tries not to think about the strip of tan skin he spotted since there are children present.

“It’s not even a sexy bee costume,” Sam says, nose still wrinkled in confusion, “He’s just a regular bee. With regular bee wings and a bee antennae headband. There’s nothing sexy about that.”

“Hey, if you knew anything about bee mating patterns, you wouldn’t be saying that.”

“Yeah, probably because I’d be too busy throwing up.” Sam’s frown deepens. “Do you even know about bee mating patterns?”

“I know about that bee’s mating patterns,” Dean says with a smirk and a wink.

Sam exaggerates a gag, turning to grab a swig of his beer. “Gross.”

“Whatever, man. You don’t see me saying anything about Eileen’s Princess Leia costume,” Dean says, motioning over to where Eileen, her space buns wrapped to perfection, is talking to Alex. Probably about her ASL studies based on the slow hand signs.

“Because she looks great!”

“Yeah,” Dean mutters, “She’s killin’ it.” The fact that she’s gone the whole night in her white boots with heels that high is impressive.

“Alright. Well,” Sam sets his bottle down, clearing his throat. “When she’s done talking to Alex, I’m gonna steal her away for a sec.” He turns back to Dean, his face serious as he point a finger at him. “If I run into you and Cas sucking on each other’s faces in a corner again, I’m gonna throw up on you.”

“You’re just upset that we’re stealing all the good make out spots from you and Eileen.”

“The threat still stands.”

“Whatever. You better stay out of our way.” Dean waves him off as Sam turns to walk away, quickly taking a detour to Baby Sam and Baby Cas.

Because it’s been too long since he’s looked at Cas, Dean stops to look for the angel. As soon as he spots him, his beer is forgotten on the table.

Cas is laughing at something Donna said, the sleeves of his sweater pushed up to his elbows, revealing the miles of usually hidden skin on strong forearms.

Literal honeypot, Dean thinks, already knowing he’s doomed, but he’d gladly accept this fate.

Cas tugs at the collar of his sweater, which simultaneously reveals an extra shot of collarbone and an expanse of skin above the waistband.

Yep, gotta get some more of that. Dean straightens his hat and starts strolling over, making the most of his cowboy strut and mentally rehearsing the smoothest howdy he can deliver.

Spinoff Story Vampire & Vampire Hunter part 12

Warnings: human being Turned, traumatic past events, blood & gore, mention of death, alcohol

An anon awhile back asked to learn about Alex's traumatic past, so here it is! The very reason why Alex is so shady about his past as a human, and why he doesn't like talking about it/mentally blocked it out. This one's extra long, so enjoy!

He understood what Mallory meant now, more than his pride wanted to admit.

Flashback: How Alex was Turned (gives some insight into his traumatic past)

Alex was stumbling away in the dark of the night, laughing and joking with his two friends who had spent the night drinking and partying with him to celebrate his 26th birthday. It had been fun, but left everyone feeling spent and tired. A symptom of good times had by all.

"Thank you all, for giving me this," Alex laughed giddily, face flushed from alcohol. He wasn't usually a drinker, but tonight was special, so he'd allowed himself to get carried away.

"Of course! It's not every day you turn 26!" His redhead friend Jacob slurred chipperly. "You're almost getting too old for parties!" Alex gave him a playful shove, sending Jacob staggering with a laugh.

"Uh, guys? Who's that, and why do they look like some creepy king of darkness?" Austin suddenly spoke up.

Jacob and Alex stopped in their tracks and followed his gaze to see what he was looking at. There was a tall man wearing a dark cloak, the hood pulled up over his head and shrouding his face in darkness. But he was walking swiftly toward the group, his gait unnaturally twitchy and jerky. The streetlights were the only thing illuminating his figure as he approached, silent as a ghost.

"Think he's homeless?" Jacob whispered.

"Don't know, but I'd rather not stick around to find out," Alex whispered back. There had been a recent spike of murders happening around the area, and he wasn't interested in finding out if the stranger was the cause of them. Because the way he was walking was... unsettling. There was an aura of menacing energy that radiated from him.

"Guys, let's get out of here," Austin suggested shakily. None of them argued, hurriedly turning away from the man and picking up their pace. But when Alex glanced behind him, the man was following. Definitely intentional.

"I really don't like this," he hissed under his breath to Jacob.

"Just keep walking, don't look back," his friend replied nervously. "Only a few blocks to your house. Then we'll be safe."

Alex couldn't help another brief look behind, and ice raced up his spine when he saw there was nobody there. The man was gone. His head snapped forward when he heard Austin yelp in surprise, and the man was standing right there in front of them, as if he'd teleported. He pulled down his hood, revealing piercing silver eyes and... fangs. Sharp fangs.

"What is that thing?? What IS that?!" Jacob shouted.

The stranger's hand suddenly shot out, snatching Austin by the throat and pulling him close while he kicked and flailed uselessly.

"HEY! Let him go, creep!" Without thinking twice, Alex ran forward and shoved the man hard in the chest, intending to startle him into dropping his friend -- and he did drop Austin… to grab Alex instead. The man had a handful of the front of his shirt, keeping Alex from jerking away.

"Let go! LET GO!!" Alex shrieked, panicking. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see his two friends abandoning him to flee, staggering away and screaming in terror.

Alex punched and clawed at the stranger's face, but it was like the man couldn't feel pain at all, because he ignored the blows completely, tangling his free hand in Alex's hair and roughly jerking his head to the side.

"What're you--" Alex's voice turned into a bloodcurdling shriek of agony as fangs plunged deep into the side of his neck, tearing through skin and muscle like paper.

Vampire, he realized in horror. He'd heard stories about them, but never thought they were actually real!

"Sir, please!" Alex begged desperately. Ice-cold adrenaline flooded all his senses, and he could feel the blood being sucked out of him too fast to keep up with, pure terror consuming his thoughts, his entire being.

It was like nothing he expected, nothing like the movies or the books. He could feel flesh and veins tearing as the vampire drank his blood with a terrifying ferocity, the pain so excruciating his vision turned red.

"I don't want to die!" Alex wailed uselessly before screaming again. His legs turned to jelly as the blood flowed out of him, spots forming in his vision, a roaring sound rushing in his ears. And still the vampire fed, showing no signs of stopping.

Alex's gut twisted violently with dread, the panic clawing up his throat and choking him, the awful realization that he was dying right now. This is what dying felt like. He tried to lift his hands, to push the predator away, but even his panic quickly faded as he realized he was too weak. His sight was starting to fade, blurred by helpless tears.

And then the vampire finally stopped drinking, releasing his drained body to crumple in a boneless heap on the ground, Alex's head hitting the sidewalk with an awful crack.

"Thanks, human. I needed that," the stranger chuckled cruelly. Then he turned away without another word, walking off into the night and leaving Alex to die alone out in the cold. He'd simply been caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, in the path of a hungry, opportunistic predator.

Alex could barely breathe, his breaths coming ragged and shallow and uneven. He moaned in pain, barely conscious as the darkness came rushing in to pull him down into death. He was so, so cold, but didn't even have the energy left to shiver, his sluggish heartbeat slowing to a stuttering whisper as it struggled to pump blood that was no longer there.

What a way to end his 26th birthday, some part of him thought. Another murder to be eventually found and added to the growing list.

His mouth gaped open as he fought to keep drawing air, barely alive. He was distantly aware of a shadow falling over him, the air displacing nearby that told him someone was crouching down next to him.

"Poor human, looks like you have some seriously bad luck tonight," a voice rumbled above him.

Alex didn't respond, couldn't respond, his body failing to listen to him.

"You know... I can save you, if you'd like. Give you the gift of survival. I'm in a rather generous mood tonight after visiting an old friend of mine. Blink twice if you accept my offer."

Alex felt a flicker of desperate hope in his mind, and mustered every ounce of remaining strength in his dying body to blink.

Once, twice.

"Brave human," the voice laughed darkly. "My gift has many catches and strings attached, but you'll find that out on your own soon enough..."

Alex didn't have time to ponder the implication of those words before someone lifted his limp arm off the ground, and a stabbing pain pierced his wrist. He wanted to scream in pain as a fiery agony entered his veins, but was physically incapable of it at this point, the last of his energy seeping away. His eyes rolled back in his skull a moment later, and he gave himself up to the welcoming darkness unconsciousness had to offer.

He didn't expect to wake up again, but he did. Miraculously. And the memories all came rushing back to him. His eyes snapped open, and he realized he was still on the sidewalk, and it was still the middle of the night. He sucked in a huge gulping gasp of air, getting his bearings together before pushing himself to sit up.

There was blood -- his blood -- spattered and dried on the concrete. The stranger who had saved him was nowhere in sight.

Alex choked on a sob, dragging his shaky body to his feet and stumbling off, making his way home. His head thrummed and buzzed with pain the whole time, and he didn't even bother changing his bloody clothes before collapsing into his bed. He burrowed under a pile of blankets, but couldn't shake how devastatingly cold he felt, hollowed-out on the inside.

But maybe... maybe all this was just some awful nightmare, maybe he'd wake up tomorrow and find out this wasn't real, that none of this had happened.

It was real. It had happened. Because he looked in the mirror the next morning to see his pale face staring back at him, appearance disheveled and ragged.

But what was worse... was the exact moment he found out he had fangs. Because... he was a monster now too. He hadn’t realized that's what his rescuer had meant by 'saving him'.

Alex threw his head back and wailed, knowing his whole life would never be the same again. And he would live an eternity with his regrets, never to escape them. His own personal hell. Unable to truly live ever again.

The change was... difficult, especially without another vampire to guide him. He learned most things the hard way. Like how badly the sun burned if he got caught in it, that there were humans in this world whose entire jobs were killing creatures like him. He found a way to order animal blood to survive off of, but he didn't have much in the way of money, and eventually it wasn't enough to get him anywhere at all.

That's when he'd gone feral with hunger and killed his first human. It had been awful and satisfying at the same time. And that's when he first met Anisa, who had smelled the blood of his victim and come to investigate, finding him sobbing wretchedly on the floor in the aftermath. She'd taken him in and showed him how to be a proper vampire, how to feed and live the half-dead life of a bloodsucker. Even bought him his own mansion to stay at and offered him a safe shelter away from vampire hunters, and made sure he'd always have packaged blood available to stave off hunger. He owed her everything.

"Hello? Alex?"

Alex snapped out of it, blinking, the haunting memories retreating back to the corner of his mind he frequently banished them to to forget.

Mallory was staring at him with a confused expression. "Where did you go just now?" He breathed. "You were talking like normal and then suddenly looked... lost."

Alex grimaced. "Just... remembering some stuff. PTSD like you have, you know?"

"Doubt it's as bad as mine," Mallory scoffed.

"It's not. It's far worse." Alex didn't elaborate, and the hunter didn't press him on it, sitting in awkward silence with the predator, deeply lost in thought. But eventually the night chill was too much to bear, and Mallory stood up with a shiver, aiming to head back into the hunter base. He paused when a hand lightly grabbed his wrist, glaring at Alex, who cleared his throat.

“Mallory, for whatever it's worth… I truly am sorry for what I put you through.”

“I don't forgive you,” Mallory said evenly.

“I wasn't expecting you to. I just wanted to let you know.”

Mallory nodded, then let out a harsh breath. “I don't forgive you right now, and I might never…” he hesitated. “But… this is a good start.” he pulled his wrist out of Alex's hand and headed back inside without another word, leaving the bloodsucker alone to his thoughts.

Show recs ?

note: most of these will be on netflix since that's the main thing I watch shows/movies on :) Also, this is a really long post, so bare with me.

-SHOWS--NETFLIX-

The Unlisted The Unlisted is a show about this group implanting kids in an attempt to control them, and it's mainly about the kids who didn't get the implants or the "unlisted". Super good, 8.5/10. (Kal x Jacob forever if you know you know... like yeah they're not canon but they def like each other so it doesn't really matter lmao)

Raising Dion I'll admit that I haven't finished the new season, but it's so good!!!! Basically, it's about this group of people who got powers from some supernatural event--specifically the child of one of them, who is sort of a legacy/2nd gen of powered people--and how something is hunting them down. 9/10

Young Royals Young Royals is a romance (I guess?) show about Wilhem, the prince of Sweden, going to a boarding school and how he sort of develops a romance with one of the other boys there :) super good and I can't wait for the 2nd season!!! 10/10

Get Even Show about 4 girls who secretly out bullies and bad teachers under the alias DGM, then get caught up in a murder investigation. 10/10.

The Letter for the King I LOVE this show. Probably watched it... 4 times? It's so good, and I would totally recommend it to anyone and everyone :) 9/10 (I loved it... just... sigh you'll figure it out) JUSSIPO X FOLDO FOREVER

A Series of Unfortunate Events I loved the books, but the show is super good too! Also, love the casual queer rep :) 11/10 (books had 2 canonically queer characters, show 4)

First Kill Low-budget gay vampires/monster hunters. Star-crossed lovers. Secret... clubs. What more could you want? Oh, I know, A SECOND SEASON- 9/10.

=MOVIES--NETFLIX (the section no one asked for)=

Yours, Mine, & Ours Kind of dorky, but I enjoyed it. It's about how two parents--with 10 and 8 kids respectively--are getting married, and their kids are desperately trying to stop it. 8/10

The Willoughbys I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS MOVIE. Four kids who live with neglectful parents in an old home, cut off from the world. One of them, the oldest, is still holding onto the hope of honoring the legacy of his family. They get a nanny, and... well, you'll see. 11/10.

Airplane Mode Also kind of dorky, but I loved it. After their daughter gets in yet another accident from texting and driving, parents confiscate her phone and send her to the country with her grandfather. 10/10.

Alex Strangelove Alex Truelove's (yes, that's his real name) plan to lose his virginity to his girlfriend, Claire, doesn't exactly go to plan when he can't stop thinking about the guy he met at a party a few weeks before. Loved it! Some details here and there, but I think it's great either way. 9.5/10.

Memories of a Teenager After one of his friends commits suicide, teenager Zabo begins to blog about his life online. Basically, it's a movie about depression, friendship, and trying to find yourself--throughout the movie the main character, Zabo, is trying to figure out his identity and goes out with/likes/dates multiple men and women. Great rep, really enjoyed it. 9/10.

The Boys in the Band OMGOMGOMG okay. 1968 New York, seven gay friends, a birthday party. When a surprise guest shows up at the party, it leads to a drunken game that--whether they likes it or not--makes everybody think. I adore this movie, I can't even- 11/10 LARRY IS STILL HOT I CAN'T-

The Half of It When a jock asks her to help him write love letters and messages to his crush, Ellie is surprised when she finds herself falling for this girl too. Great romance, loved the resolution & the relationships between the characters. Still cackling about Paul's mom's face when he said he had to grind something- 10/10.

+ MOVIES AND SHOWS--OTHER MISC SOURCES +

Full Out (buy or rent on youtube) Full Out is the true story of gymnast Anna Berlin who, after getting into a car accident, is told she'll never be able to compete/do gymnastics again. It's basically her story of recovery through gymnastics... and a hip hop group she finds herself a part of. 10/10.

But I'm A Cheerleader (free on youtube) Lesbian romance blossoming in a conversion camp? Sign me up. After her friends and family gather to tell her that they think she's a lesbian, Megan is sent off to True Directions, a conversion therapy program... where she goes from not believing she's a lesbian to... growing closer with another participant, Graham. 10/10.

The Brokenwood Mysteries (acorn TV) A murder mystery show set in the fictional town of Brokenwood, New Zealand. Awesome cast of main & side characters, and good representation with different races, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations. 10/10. #arlofanclub

Middle School: The Worst Years of my Life This movie follows Rafe as he moves schools and decides to break every one of the 100s of rules made by his overbearing principal, along with his sidekick Leo. Amazing movie, and amazing way of developing the characters & Rafe's dealing with everything throughout the movie (if you've watched/read, you know what I'm talking about)! 12/10.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (netflix, amazon) I put this one here since I'm not positive if it is still on Netflix or how long it will stay, but here we go. Ferris Bueller doesn't want to go to school on a great day like this (pretend it's sunny and nice outside), so he rounds up his girlfriend and his best friend and they skip out on school to have fun. My summary doesn't do it any justice. This movie is also one of my favs. 12/10.

Handsome Devil (peacock) When a loner and a star rugby player become roommates at a rugby-obsessed boarding school, the (truly repulsive) rugby coach tries to get to the bottom of why his newest player transferred in the first place. 12/10.

Ride Like a Girl The true story of the first woman to win the Melbourne Cup, an Australian horse racing competition thing! 12/10

All these movies/shows are pretty near and dear to my heart, and for a lot of them it's because of the queer and/or POC rep. While this character was originally a witch they have turned. In my head I was thinking Vampire, but I’m pretty down with any species.

Background:

Okay so this character does share a father with mine, here is what you need to know about Evil Witch Daddy: Please note this is like the sparks note version of this all.

Richard was married to the oldest child’s mother, but marriage life wasn’t really his thing so he had multiple affairs. Which in turn spawned a total of 6 children; all six are reference in age order below. Along the way Richard had started dabbling in dark magic, which he realized he could use to his benefit. Well when he was passed over for supreme due to the ancestors realizing he was too far gone, he completely lost his shit. He got the idea to take out the ancestors and become his own supreme but of black magic. He had plans to start a dark coven with his children, since he was aware of 5 of them. While he waited and grew crazier he always kept his plan in the back of his head. So Richard got the bright idea to make a sacrifice of his oldest and the child he loved the most so he could obtain the power. 5 of the children were present: Lucian, Logan, Leo, Lorelai, and Liliana (Nia). Richard had them all present in cause he would need to complete the circle. Which as he grabbed the kids things felt off, Leo screamed and Logan had made run for it, but Richard had grabbed them and put them to sleep. Thankfully a little boy (Callum) saw and picked up Logan’s necklace, told the party about Richard. Which during the sacrifice he almost went through with it until the moms and the coven showed up right before he could finish and saved the child. After that Richard was stripped of magic and expected to be put to death for his crimes, but he snuck out before he was suppose to be put to death. Instead of just leaving quietly he stole his youngest child and skipped town.

Rather than look for the child The Coven covered it up along with the moms who feared if they angered Richard that he’d return and harm one of the other children or take them too. So Richard got away with the baby and the mother of the child was deemed crazy as everyone pretended they had no clue what she was talking about. The mother eventually ended up leaving the coven, she was never spoke about again.

Meanwhile the other 3 moms: The Oldest (Lucian), The Perfectionist (Lorelai), and Leo/Logan band together to protect their children. They became neighbors, were each others support system as they tried to give their children the most normal life after the craziness that had happened. The coven sweep all of their dad’s antics under the rug completely and it’s basically some weird fever dream to them at this point. The moms constantly stuck by the story of the dad just took off, there’s never been anymore detail about him given in fear that one of the children would want to know him/locate him.

Please note despite the dad’s actions being sweep under the rug all of the children were heavily watched by coven/their mothers to see if they’d show any signs of being unstable like the father. They would have also been heavily dosed to forget that it ever happened.

The Oldest (Lucian) *** This is the sibling the dad tried to kill.

Logan (Twin)(My character) *** Current Supreme of the coven

Leo (Twin) *** The only one who is no longer a witch because they were turned.

The Unknown Sibling (Jaylin Sanchez-Wilson) *** This is a lifelong friend of the siblings. They have no idea that she is their sister, it will be revealed later on in game.

The Perfectionist (Lorleai) *** She was the one the coven picked and expected to take over after the previous supreme died. She’s the one who follows every rule and is down right a perfectionist.

The Stolen (Liliana aka Nia) *** This is the child the dad took off with and the moms/coven pretend never existed. With the trauma of their childhood they probably have no clue about this sibling.

For this character:

They are the twin brother of Logan Hastings, they are 5 minutes younger than her and she will never let them forget it.

They were deemed the Sun/Moon by their mother, they even have necklaces that they were gifted as children by their mother. Leo was always the light while, Logan was the moon.

Logan lost her necklace as a child during the night the dad went nuts, which it was never found but there have been similar replacements. There is only one that magically bonds to Leo’s tho and it’s the one that is missing.

During childhood Logan was always up at night, even more so when they got their powers. Mostly because she wanted to use hers. Where I always picture Leo as more a morning person, up the minute the sun is out.

With them probably being polar opposites and Leo so bright, he was probably pretty popular in High School and probably played a sport like Soccer, Basketball, or Football.

He had amazing grades so I did have him going to NYU in the bio, but it can be changed. Logan always struggled at schooling where it was probably easy for him.

Even when she was away they probably talked every single day, she constantly had him out visiting her.

Now I did allude to this in the bio for Logan, but Logan met a Charles character, who always asked tons of questions about Logan and etc. When she mentioned wanting to stay in Washington he 100% lost their shit and even attacked her as he screamed about how special she was. Logan’s apartment was also broken into and all the photos were taken. About a week later Leo was turned. Before you ask, yes Charles is actually Richard and yes he is nuts and paid someone to turn his son. Knowing that it would force Logan to return.

Which she did immediately, she spent 2 years with Leo trying to help him settle into his new life. She probably did helicopter mom him with their actual mom, but they both wanted to make sure he was okay.

They’re the reason she pushes to change witch law and to allow interspecies dating among witches. She watched how their friends and the coven treated him and she was honestly pretty livid.

I would think they probably took loosing their witch powers as almost a blessing? The witch community is low key toxic and they would 100% see their siblings falling apart all the fucking time. Logan even left because of how toxic the community is.

Would now be currently living their best fucking life away from the coven. If you want them to struggle with their new powers go for it, but I can also see them embracing them.

Probably was also the siblings who cared the least about magic growing up because their other siblings were so damn crazy about it.

Usually when an all out war breaks out among the other three they sit back and watch with their popcorn. If the older brother can’t break it up then they do get involved as the peacemaker.

*** While this is not a requirement I could see Leo being apart of the LGBTQ+ community, whatever you would like his sexuality to be it’s completely up to you and Logan supports it either way.

*** Depending on how he is played I could also see him having a kid. Like it was deff an accident but he found out about it or had it (depending on the species) after he turned.
