I recently finished the Alex Hood. The pattern is by Knitting for Olive and available on Ravelry.

It's so cute. I really feel like a little Matryoshka Doll wearing it! The yarn I used was the suggested yarn, Merino and Mohair by KFO. The yarn combination is super soft and I am really very happy with the overall result. I did do 3 more increase repeats per side to have the scarf flaps be a bit longer - most people on rav recommended it in their project notes.

The pattern is easy enough tbh. My big challenge for me was the kitchener stitch seaming at the back of the scarf and the crown of the head. I posted some instructions recently on how I did it and I'm actually quite pleased with the result! Overall a very successful project <3

I'm a real big fan of how truly DISGUSTING Hold Them Down is lyrically. Like, I'm applauding Jorge for how viscerally gross it is.

Antinous doesn't just describe what he plans to do, but also what state Telemachus and Penelope will be in when he gets his hands on them. The very first hold them downs of both their verses do so much in conveying how horrifying he knows and wants this to be for them. Antinous knows Telemachus will be shaking in fear—he is anticipating it like an eager fucking dog. To describe taking advantage of a woman's vulnerability as her "gate is open" makes my stomach churn.

It's just so fucking straightforward in how horrible the themes are, and I love that. No beating around the bush or disguising it in convoluted metaphors. Not that there's anything wrong with that on any other day-- but having it all layed out in broad daylight is a refreshing change of pace.

And godd the way it sets up Odysseus so PERFECTLY. The way we fully drop all pretenses and call it like it is. The way Odysseus just straight up says it.

I just really, really appreciate how this saga handled such a heavy theme. And in the final saga no less. All around, a stunning wrap-up to an exceptional EPIC.

Various drawings of Rihi-tan Kakkoi-Fighter Berumondo-kun in varying levels of seriousness because he really has that range. They're also from different points of time in my sketchbook whenever I felt like drawing this boy, with the last one being the most recent.

I think I may have finally gotten that balance on his body size with the SotN look, since it's normally drawn so, uh... thin in Kojima's works. That makes it tough for me to adapt such a fitted outfit.

But I know what I am going for when I draw that look. He is like an untended garden, growing out of control while also being controlled. I want to get that look especially in that hair-- it's too fitting to the idea.

Otherwise, much of this is keeping that waist body shape consistent.
