sigh. back to beating 3-2 with parries only to remember how to ultrakill

#ramblings #back when i had just finished p-2 i went back to 3-2 and spent an hour just learning gabe's patterns #fighting back only with coins and parries #after which i p ranked all of the prelude and 3-2 #which. yeah p ranking prelude isnt THAT impressive #but it was a start #and then i barely touched ultrakill for like 6 months #and now im struggling so bad #and i KNOW i have to practice and actually play the game. to get good enough to beat layer 7 #im still nervous about 1-3 because of the hard path. but its ok #i could probably p rank layer 1 if it wasnt for 1-3 #i almost p ranked 1-1 on my first try but i died ONCE

i don’t know about you guys but the main reason i am still on tumblr in 2024 is BECAUSE it is the most cloutless least influential social media app out there and that is the experience i am after. absolutely none of this will ever translate into significant attention or real success in my life and that is so beautiful.

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

#like it started with me just holding things more towards my right #but the things started shifting more towards center and my head turns instead #like. when im driving especially i have to keep my head turned so i can see on coming traffic #and when im around people ive noticed i position myself so my body is facing them and then turn my head to get them actually #centered in my now very right biased field of view #so anyways draw blorbo bleebus cheated to that 3/4s angle without guilt #at least one one eyed fucker actually does that

Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:

Mob (Yakuza, Mafia)

Psycho (violent person with "crazy" behaviors)

Thus: a particularly violent member of organized crime.

But in Japanese it scans as:

Mob (background characters in crowd scenes in manga or anime)

Psycho (short for psychic)

Thus: a psychic who looks/acts like someone you'd never pick out of a crowd scene in a comic.

they’re calling it block party 2024. just blocking and ignoring countless celebrities who havent said shit about palestine. influencers, actors, anyone who went to the met gala, whatever, they’re getting blocked. and people keep talking about how cathartic it is, how good it feels, how they never realized they could DO that. there was some kind of subconscious law against blocking famous people, but it’s broken, and people are LOVING it. and it’s WORKING. a social media/digital advertising coordinator was talking about how ad companies are PANICKING, because they can’t accurately target anymore. so many big influencers, including fucking LIZZO started talking about palestine the MOMENT their follower counts started going down. and the best part? no one is forgiving them. lizzo posted a tiktok asking people to donate to palestinian families, and all the comments just said you’re a multimillionaire. put your money where your mouth is. blocked.

i feel like i’m witnessing the downfall of celebrity culture, right here right now. people are waking up.
