#thank you to all the well wishers #I did just hit a car though because apparently I wasn’t done crying #but everyone is okay.#the only times I’ve ever been a bad driver is when I’m fucking upset #and every time I’m on my way home #like damn couldn’t my shit judgement moment happen 30 minutes later?#I could’ve been in bed #I know how to recognize the signs and I’ve taken myself out of bad driving situations before #but it just takes 3 seconds you know?#anyway I feel another crying jag coming on but at least I’m not hungry dehydrated and sad AND without some of my blood #I’m still somewhat bloodless (gave blood today) and sad #but chocolate and water are good #did you know that if you’ve EVER been pregnant #you can’t give blood to babies?#people who’ve had pregnancies have a blood chemical that babies don’t and it’s bad for them #so if you are unable to have babies ever and/or #so yeah. virgin powers lmaoooo #I mean you don’t have to be a virgin to be able to give to babies #you can just have a body that can’t carry babies #but afaik I can have babies I just haven’t had the opportunity

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GALACTA KNIGHT!!!! And congratulations to Meta Knight for experiencing the Cain Instinct for the first time.

Galacta Knight, as you might've been able to tell already, is one of my favorite characters, and KSSU is one of my favorite games (the original SS was my introduction to Kirby!) so I wanted to go all out. Happy day, old man. I pray for at least 20 more years.

Oh, and don't worry! He's not upset about the cake smash, he thinks it's funny. And he got back at him.

As for the in-universe explanation for there being 16 candles in his cake?

... 500+ didn't fit in safely.

really an inexplicable train of thought but i feel like taako is the kind of person who in a modren era au would just decide to go to a shooting range and learn how to shoot a pistol for funsies, but would consider learning to spin the pistol all cool like they do in cowboy movies to be his first and foremost priority. like hes already bought a holster and the moment he is given a gun he immediately starts trying to twirl it. the instructor has to tell him to stop or theyll take the gun away from him. he keeps trying to lead the conversation back to it anyway because he really feels like theyre putting the cart before the horse here if hes learning how to shoot the gun before even knowing how to dramatically reholster it if he were to get in some sort of cowboy duel. hes actually really good at the shooting part but he gets kicked out of the class after his eighth guntwirling attempt in which he accidentally flicks the safety off mid twirl and shoots one of their light fixtures

#taz balance #taz taako #i dont know shit abt guns so i had to google a bunch of stuff to see if this even made sense #'surely they would have taken the gun away from him before attempt number 8' ok see heres how im imagining the timeline #moment he is given the gun he gets in two twirl attempts right off the bat before the instructor manages to stop him #attempts number 3-5 are done in a 6 second window in which the instructor makes the mistake of turning around and not looking at him #he is then told he needs to take this seriously and they can and will remove him from the range if necessary #attempt 6 he just does on instinct and hes like cmahn you cant count that one i didnt even mean to do it. did you see it tho it was rad #he is then told if he does it again he will be kicked out #youll never believe this but he does it again #the instructor tries to take the gun from him and he decides it is a really smart and good idea to back up into the main area #ie the area where not everything is made to be safe to shoot and there are light fixtures and people in there #and try to twirl the gun yet a fucking gain . which is the attempt where he shoots out a ceiling light #to be fair he is just a silly little guy

Something I really like about timebomb is that Ekko actually knows what he's getting into.

I'm not really seeing it get talked about but in season 1 they mention that Ekko and the firelights help people addicted to shimmer get off it and lead more fulfilling lives within the community. I should probably rewatch the scene for the exact wording (might be misremembering tbh) but that comment implies A LOT.

First: Ekko's mission is helping people where he can, he would probably try and help Jinx even if he wasn't in love with her

Second: He has experience dealing with severe mental illness as that often goes hand in hand with drug abuse, namely depression/suicidal ideation like what Jinx was exhibiting

Third: He's probably mapped out best course of action FOR dealing with this and has already figured out his own limits/boundaries. Meaning he knew what he was getting into trying to talk Jinx out of suicide, and was thus more equipped to deal with the aftermath

Fourth: He's probably helped ex members of Silco's gang. The firelights seem to have a theme of healing and repairing and recovering, so they've probably also learned to forgive. If they're mission is to rebuild the lanes into a safe space, they can't exclude people they don't like, they have to make room for them. I think they fought Silco out of necessity, and I doubt Jinx would be the first person they help who's killed one of them.

These all might be a bit of a stretch but I think it really fits. Beyond that, it shows that Ekko can ACTUALLY help Jinx. As much as unconditional love can do, Ekko has the tools for Jinx's recovery and a path ready for her. He also probably knows that her "healthy" will look different from AU Powder's "healthy." On top of that, I expect he knows how to respect her even in the middle of psychotic breaks and won't agitate her already frail mental state

I'm not sure. I have a hard time reading her but a lot of the vibes I get off her feel like she just likes having the power #over vi #I KNOW THAT'S A STRONG CLAIM #hear me out #Vi in her search for unconditional love does a lot of enabling #a good example is when Caitlyn arrests that henchman in episode 3(?)#Vi is VISIBLY uncomfortable with that and for good reason!#Caitlyn just locked someone up for life for... nothing?#kinda like Marcus did to her (yes Marcus was trying to protect her but I doubt that's how Vi sees it)#but Vi doesn't voice this or push Caitlyn on it #instead she asks Caitlyn not to change #not great communication on Vi's part #but also indicative of how little their values align #and how little Caitlyn actually considers Vi and her problems and history #Caitlyn doesn't help Vi heal and she turns on Vi the second Vi stops enabling her and letting Caitlyn do as she thinks is best #neither of them are ready to deal with the others problems or communicate well #again. willing to discuss this. my opinions are swayable.#I just personally found Caitlyn made the most sense and was most compelling when she was going down facist dictator path #sure she could be more but I don't think the show ever really transitioned her away from that #you can see it in the way she treats Maddy #hhhhhh I should go to bed rather than spill every last thought I've ever had

i tried to play into tumblr's automatic video looping but you can also watch it on youtube with subtitles for the dialogue, it's not that important, it's more about the idea of the loop than the experience

Most Sherlock Holmes adaptations I've seen tend to place their Final Problem towards the mid point of the series (or even a bit earlier) - it's also in my opinion the best way of going about it, so you have time enough for the characters to adjust after the reunion but they know each other well enough for the events of Fina to be devastating.

Sherlock & Co is done with 20 of the adventures. How many are there? Fifty-something? Almost sixty? Let's say we'll be entering mid-point territory after the 25th story.

So let's pretend for a moment that we have 5 more stories until The Final Problem. Ok.

Estimating an adventure at 3 episodes each, that would mean little over 3 months - maybe 3 and a half? Starting, of course, from the end of Sign of Four, which will be somewhere in December.

So let's say 3, maybe 4 months into 2025. That would be, what? Late march, early april?

Early april?

John having to tell the listeners that Sherlock is dead, in early april?

Quick calendar search reveals what I was praying it would - the 1st of april will be on a Tuesday next year.

So what I'm saying

What I'm saying is Sherlock &Co has the opportunity to do the funniest fucking thing
